The Rose

Once bloomed a rose so young and fair
With dark brown eyes and long black hair

Beside her be a tall dark tree
Whose branches stretch to smother thee

Too close beside the shadowy bark
That soon begins to leave its mark

She cries for help, but none shall hear
Her thorns too sharp, who’d dare go near?

To save this rose, who’d risk their life?
With naught to gain but pain and strife

Alone, afraid, she lays to rest
Her heart beats low inside her chest

And with the hour growing near
She sheds her final grieving tear

And so the rose soon falls asunder
Her final day, eternal slumber

She lies beside the old dark tree
The only one who mourns for thee

((RIDDLES-FIDDLES-DIDDLES ))

My towel is made of silk
That does not make sense at all
I can drink bitter sour milk
Once again no sense at all

My busted line holds a stronghold
Confuse are we
A thieve breaks and leaves me gold
Leaving my thinking incomplete ???

In my dream he cut my head
puzzled ???
My dreams have a path of a flowerbed
Still puzzled ???

White winter shelter when it comes to snow
a riddle, a riddle
Black the night all over covered by coal
this I do not know

I walk and I have no feet
show me!
I speak and I have no mouth
How?

a breathing exercise, wrong as it went
misunderstood
the stick walking got bent
understanding this a bit

My boat is flipped upside right at the end of all weathers
impossible
The grave is empty with dirt, full of feathers
wise not to ask

((Last but not least))

The grandmother is tall
The mother came short
The father is black to recall
Some white child of sort
Why the Mexican???

My Son Moon and Star ~

Approaching the celebration of his Birth

within weeks of conception I knew
something amazing was in Creation ~

            the Stars held a party
sending me with one of their own
Gazing at 3 shooting stars twinkling crossing the sky
It was magic It was destiny taking its flight.

Hours going by as choosing my color
a wittness to three falling stars
             A clear night sky sparkle's
A once Famous Star was sent
inspiring the tiny child inside ~

Never a doubt in my mind at all
child bearing was worth any pain received
yours will be in a pursuit of a dream ~

BY THE SEA

PART One,,,, as she saw it.

The mountains and the meadows were always so beautiful this time of year.
It seemed as if a fresh new world always came to life. The high cliffs turned sharply downward. As I sat listening to the ocean tides smashing against the walls of the mountain below. There was a mild breeze blowing from the south. The grass in the flower covered meadows moved with the breeze. The sun shined so brightly I thought it would melt me at times.

As I stood up from the log where I was sitting by the emerald forest, the breeze pressed my dress against me. It formed to the soft round curves of my breast, down through the curves of my waist pushing against my yielding hips. As I blinked from the sun, I saw him there in the distance. I had thought I was alone. But there he was, starring straight at me. What would I do and where could I turn? I knew what kinds of thoughts men had, my mother told me all about them. I saw that he was beginning to move my way !

I saw him there as he saw me. I was paralyzed, not knowing what direction to move. Though as I watched him from afar, he did not seem dangerous as my mother always warned. Still, I could hear her words like a tape recorder in the back of my mind.

Should I dare take my eyes from his? I could see his eyes were dark, maybe brown, or even midnight blue. What ever the color, I could tell they were smoldering with restrained passions. His hair was long to his shoulder blades. I knew that because it moved with the wind. He had broad shoulders with long legs. I knew I must not let him reach me. If his arms entangled me , surely I would never get loose. And, I'm not sure I would want too. Even though I heard the words of my mother, running in my head.
I could feel the tiny beads of sweat trickling down between my breasts. I was not sure I should take my eyes from him as I leaned down to pick up the fan that had slipped from my hand to my bare feet.

PART ONE,,,, As he saw it .

The winter snow had melted and yielded to the bright warming rays of the spring sun. The bears had come out of hibernation with their new born looking for food. The mountains and the meadows were born again, new, fresh and alive with life. Everything was beautiful and as it should be. Birds singing, their mating songs blended with the crash of the surf against the steep cliffs of the mountain. Nature was at peace with itself, and I came here to share in this peace. To be alone with the earth, or so I thought.

I found a place to sit on the grass hidden among the flowers in the high meadows. So I could enjoy the gentle breeze blowing while watching the forest animals. The warm sun caressed my body and warmed me. It was a prefect day, yet something was missing. A day like this needed to be shared with someone, someone special. Stretching, I caught a slight movement out of the corner of my eye, just across the enchanted forest. Of a beautiful women. It couldn't be possible as no one knew of this place. I had come here for years and had never seen a another person before. Yet, there she was. Dressed in a dress the wind made love to, pressing it to her body. Clinging to the sensual curves of her breast, down to her firm waist and full inviting hips. I suddenly felt drawn to her and stood up. I knew she had seen me as she was starring back at me, as I stood staring back at her. She was a vision. And I was afraid she would vanish if I approached her. Yet, she seemed to be smiling, calling to me as I started walking towards her. I remember the stories my grandmother had told me of the enchantresses that lived in this forest, but I did not hesitate. I would give to her anything she wanted, anything she desired.

As I approached her I realized she was real. She seemed to be looking at me, daring me to come closer. All the stories of the enchantress my grandmother had told me flooded my mind with a warning. Yet, she was so beautiful, so inviting and I couldn't take my eyes from her. I was slowly losing control with each and every step that brought me closer to her. I knew I was lost as I felt the heat of my desire to be with her, starting to take control. It was a struggle not to run to this beautiful creature , with the golden hair, and angelic face. As I came closer I couldn't help but notice her sensual breasts rising and falling with each breath she took. She seemed to be smiling, challenging me with everything that made her a beautiful, desirable woman. A woman this sensual, this beautiful, this desirable was surely the enchantress, and I was hers. As a bee is drawn to the flower, I was being drawn to this women.

Suddenly she reached down to pick something up. It was just then I noticed she was barefoot. As she bent over to retrieve what she had dropped, the sun reflected off her spun gold hair. and radiated a golden brightness that was almost blinding. Her dress shifted allowing me to see that her body enhanced her dress, rather then the dress enhancing her body. She would look beautiful in anything she wore. The heat of my desire for her was beginning to consume me with it's fire. I felt the beginnings of ,,,,,,,,,,

BROTHER - BILLY

It started growing in a field
Billy Stover watched it grow

Because the corn was tall
Because Billy Stover was small
No one knew
Now one saw

No one saw how the tiny boy watched by the hour in summer's heat
Even from the top of high elm trees by the road
who could have detected that small lad stretched out
on his stomach leaning on his elbows watching

On stormy days Billy watched from the closest window
elbows propped up on the sill
He knew it was growing though he couldn't see it
He'd be down in the field now in the mud watching
    but his mother forbade it
"What do you do out there Billy all by yourself?
What is it you do out there instead of playing?"

On certain days when the wind swayed the green stalks
and nipped Billy's cheeks his eyes would light up
He fought back a burning desire to run into the white kitchen
to tug at his mother's apron to bring her out
and show her his one spot
He jumped up once when the flames leaped high
    started running for the house
"Mother! Mother!" he silently shouted
Every part of his small body shook with joy but
The bleak white walls of the kitchen
his mother her hands dipped in bread dough....................................

It started growing in the field in the dirt in the mind of Billy Stover
And no one could have kept a secret better than Billy

Where Has Dad Gone, Mama Dear

Where has dad gone, momma dear?
Hush, my little lamb.
Your dad's gone to the thicket dear
And mad old Abraham

That man went early this grim morn, and took his sharpened knife
And with him took his own first born, to offer up his life
With servants and with firewood, both, they journeyed to Moriah
And on the hillside there they built an altar and a fire

And Isaac, when he heard the plan, went willingly, it's odd
That he should let that daft old man, so worship his cruel god.
Your father, he was passing by, and heard but could not see
And foolishly could not deny his curiosity

So closer did your father scramble peering through the thorns
Unaware of how the brambles tangled with his horns
Just to see a crazy man who planned to kill his kin
Your father did not understand the danger he was in

For then again that mad old man started hearing voices
His god was speaking to the loon and giving him new choices
And so his plan to slay the boy came about to falter
And Abraham, he took your pa and dragged him to the altar

But that was never fair, mama, can you tell me why
When Isaac he was all prepared and well prepared to die
And all had been decided on, so what cruel trick mama
Was played upon that grand old ram, who was my own papa?

Life is not fair, my little lamb, nor is it like to change
And fate plays tricks on all of us, both sinister and strange
So you take care, my little lamb, with this advice from me
Do not visit places where you know you should not be

The moral of this story dear, is take heed of the odds
And stay away from two-leggies worshipping their gods

A Dark Tale

I laugh as I think of it now, the dire warnings of hell
Nothing could scare me it didn’t matter, on this teaching I never did dwell.
I wondered why one dark night, again begging for sleep.
No fear of death of dying no foolish promises to keep.

It was then I found the answer as I slipped down through the floor
Could this be a dream or am I now no more.
Has death come upon me, I feel the air exude from my chest
Through eons of time yet seconds, maybe days or years at best.

Before me an evil thing but there are no brimstone and flames
“Now we will see this hell you mocked and you will know my name.
You never flinched about the hell threat but you are now here
Not only that I am your father and now you will know real fear.”

He breathed in deep; my skin scorched, it left my body in one piece
The agonies, I must be dead my skin floating in front just like a fleece
My muscles sinews and skeleton were all that I now had
“I thought you were my father I screamed you can’t treat me this bad.”

A thousand legions of devils all came round mocking me
Each breath they turned my way seemed to rip parts off of me
“You will learn to master them but until then you have to pay
You start at the bottom in this work.” then the hounds of hell did bay.

“To inflict the tortures required to give me the satisfaction
You must first suffer them all, that is my attraction.
When you have suffered them all you will know what to do
My work will be in your hands this is my legacy to you.”

“But how can you be my father?” I screamed as the hell hounds tore at me
“My mother was the sweetest woman on earth and all around could see.”
“Ha! I am the devil why would I want a whore,
They are already down here; it was sweetness I searched for.”

“Your mother scorned me, she did not believe in all the hellish games I play
So I showed her my powers and you are with me from this day.
You should have listened to the teachers teaching of my home called hell.”
He waved his finger at me and the screams I could not quell.

Now I wish I had listened and taken an earthly fear
It could have made a difference, I may not now be here.
I take delight in dismembering and gouging out the eyes
Flaying the skin off the ungodly, yet I do it for a prize.

One day I will rule this place then my turn will come
I’ll leave this underworld one day and do what my father has done
I’ll take a woman for my wife the sweetest there ever walked
And pass on my inheritance to the offspring that hell balked.

Die alone and born again

The man with the plastic bug in his head
monopolized my dreams last night
in the place that the horsefly of my dignity
finally surrender to the impresario without a fight.

Seven days and 7 hours transplanted in my memorabilia
reminding the rustiness of the purple child
flatterers danced beneath the clouds of melancholy
and morality spreader the master plan inside my mind.

The disinheritance of my immortality the final day
discouraged my desire to see the forbidden love
restored my will to escape
manipulated the deep of the uncertainty above.

Released from the plastic bug in my head
try to cover my yellow child in the purple sky
laughing,singing,whispering,playing
seven days and seven hours before he dies.

Just Reach

just reach your hand out to the sky
pull your loved ones back to your side

lets get to say one more goodbye
for we never wanted them to go away and die

as now the days and nights lay
in such sweet disguise

so let us once again our lord
stare into their illumating eyes

as we reach out for them
in your broad horizon sky

and get to hold and kiss them
even if their not by our sides

for if this is however feels when we die
then I'd like to be that angel in that sky

so I can just reach out right back
and wipe their tears too from their eyes

Tribute To Our Loved Ones
On The Other Side
May You All RIP

Birds Of The Same Feather Flock Together

Birds of the same feather always flock together

A fool fools those who can be fooled
A thief roams the streets with his fellow thieves
The miserable saddens those who allow themselves to be miserable
The naive are played by those who are naive of karma
The materialism catches those who are materialistic
The disrespectful hurt those who have no self respect
The aggressively insecure intimidate those who are submissively insecure
The fake trick those who are inexperience of faking
The dumb roll with the most dumbest

If you are either happy, successful, humble, educated or anything positive; make sure you flock with the feather that's most positive and important to you.

KNOW YOUR WORTH; You cannot exchange gold for stones, that's making a foolish loss. Positivity is always an addition(+) not a subtraction (-). If you are subtracting, don't be suprised if your life turns out to be mostly negative.

IMPATIENCE is the mother of all COMPROMISE, that's why people flock with the wrong people, don't let it catch you..

THE EYEZ are easily fooled, all that glitters isn't gold (things can be gold plated too), so carefully check things. As They say "FOOLS RUSH IN WHERE ANGELS FEAR TO TREAD."

NOTHING IS CONSTANT; Money comes and goes, the famous become infamous, friendships ends, beauty fades, people pass away etc. Do not rely on external things to make you happy, once they are gone you will awaken from your dream. Internal happiness is constant; the externall should just make you happiER. Humble yourself and know reality.

INEXPERIENCE is the mother of all REGRET. Life is a journey of experience, never make the same mistake twice. At best surround yourself with the most wise (listen and consider their counsel) so not to make mistakes at all.

THE GUT INSTINCT, if it doesn't feel right it probably isn't. You have either compromised too much for to little or you are blinded or you put ur happiness on external forces which are not constant or you are inexperienced in the ways of life.

ITS ALL IN THE MIND, remember to CONTROL IT, TRAIN IT and to ACT IT OUT and watch yourself rise to a different level in your life.

WAKE UP; a bird who flocks with the wrong birds wakes up sooner than later and flies to his kind of feather.

THE MESSAGE; a bird that flocks to you with patience, sincerity, passion and unconditional love is definitely for keeps because they are worth more than gold.

Rose Wine

Your strong hand
beneath my head
my Love in your Blood
turned from friendship
did spread
into More
the first time you
took my Hand
and traveled every
line, of my Flesh land
the way you reflect your soul
Into my Eyes,
makes me forget my small stature
shape, size
in this world
I wish to carry your
future child
be it boy or girl
be them strong of spirit
Smarts of street and class
leaders of Eminence
Sweet mixed with Sass
I see this future
as I fall head first, spilling
into your secure embrace
like a single bottle of Rose Wine
Down to the last Taste

I'm a child again

I’m a child again

I’m a child again and it’s such fun
To kick a ball, and laugh, and run
And walk down to the local park
And being bad, oh, what a lark

I love to watch those colored birds
This always kind of gets me stirred
Their lovely hues, my eyes they daze
These lovely birds do me amaze.

But there is one thing that I do hate
At bath times, fuss I do create
And mum and dad, they get real mad
I suppose I do play up a tad.

And also I do hate that school
With all its daft, and silly rules
But when I write my little stories
That’s when I get my share of glory.

But really, If I had the choice
I’d really like to raise my voice
And tell them ‘I want out of this!!
Being a child gives me no bliss!’

THE EARTH

I can not help but wonder
When God created the earth
How did He think of all the things
It takes to make it work

I know God is God
And He knows all things
But the things I've been a witness to
How do they work I mean

The lava boils deep in the earth
Why does it need to leave
And when it does break through the crust
It becomes a volcano to us

It has destroyed all in its path
What of the hole it leaves behind
The cavity eventually caves in
And then the mountains do begin

Mean while the surface heals itself
The wind and rain step in
The soils that are blown and washed in
Help heal the scars again

What of the ash from the volcano
As it infiltrates the air
As it settles it brings death
Such as ASH FALL in Nebraska
Where the rhino's met their end

And what of the earth quakes
As the earth seems to shake in pain
The cracks that they leave behind
Form gullies and ravines

The oil, the gas, the silver, the gold
The floods, the tornados, the drouths, the cold
Fires caused by lightenings sting
Are all under Mother Natures wing

The animals before man's time
Lived and died as was designed
And still the earth went on and on
And healed it self from dusk to dawn

And now that man is here
It has to work harder
It is there to heal the wounds
That man seems to father

Then we have the food chain
Land and water both provide
And if man doesn't watch his step
Fathom waits outside

Now and then it does rebel
It gets the upper hand
Tornados, blizzards, hurricanes
Volcanos and desert sand

The scars the wars do leave
Mother Nature does her best
If only we'd learn to live in peace
She could take a rest

And all the stupid things man does
Like building homes along a high cliff
Then when Mother Nature does her thing
Bet you can guess who takes the blame

The heavens, the earth were made by God,
And for eons they did survive
Then God created man,
If they don't work side by side
Neither of them will abide

I guess I answered my own question
I just had to use my brain
Thank You God for all Your help
I hope it's not in vain

My Story Telling Can You Trust Me

Gun fire all around, bombs going off in the distance
It was some of the angry mobs and resistance
Father was the king of SafeHaven a small kingdom
Like all other kingdoms it fell in random
Fire started in the castle
And along with it came a battle

It was a distance memory now because the child has now grew
Many things in this child that made memories stew
My name is Mastrey, a young orphan who was there that night
Mastrey saw her in the distance and her father and mother in his sight
Everyone was loud that night and made all the children hide
But that evening Mastrey saw her mother and father die

She ran into the bushes in such a fright
And evil doers were running around with flashlights
Mastrey remember it as he distracted them
Her eyes was so confused with problems
Mastrey new that it was because of what just occurred
His feelings of what those people did was not awkward

The distraction worked, he went back to were she was
Hiding and very scared she was, he asked her, can you trust me just because?
Her answer that night depended on her lively hood
As Mastrey was their with his hand reaching out to her as he stood
Pulling her up from the ground he looked into her eyes that were SeaBlue
Mastrey had made a life long friend and love, She knew it was true

Everything In Its Proper Place

Somehow, it seems I have been here before... There is an old orchard far up the hill Looking across the golden valley floor the sky is clear, the air is still A latticed arbor, entwined and draped with vine and bloom, is basking in the sun I see her there! A slim, familiar shape... She smiles, and beckons me to come O’ my heart!! Are you strong enough to embrace, at last this fulfillment of your wish?! O’ my heart!! Are you strong enough to welcome joy so vast as this?! I step on the path I feel knees tremble My world is shaking A sleeping childhood has been awakened Perhaps a dream? Please, wake me not! Recognition! It shines in her eyes! Although I am, a woman now.... and not a child!! Oh God in heaven!! She knows who I am!! *** Above her, I see September geese are winging to their winter home---- All is right, when things return... each one to its proper place * If this be a dream wake me not * * * for I am home ~....................~....................~....................~....................~....................~

The Whittler

Upon his grandfather's rocking chair
on the porch in the cool crisp air
sits a man with a special gift.
For he can see the soul of a tree
within a piece of wood upon his knee.

His pile of cedar gives off a sweet smell.
He picks through the pieces, eyes closed,
his touch feels what is enclosed.
As if he were to reach within the wood
by pulling it apart from its protective bark
and removing what’s inside from the dark.
The Whittler will release this soul from its cage!

Each meticulous movement of the knife in hand
is meant to bring out something so grand.
After hours of work, fingers cramping into knots
the soul held within in this piece arose
to be a magnificent fully blossomed rose.

Beautiful just like the ones his gram
planted beneath her father's old cedar tree, by hand.

Catch Me If You Can French Sonnet

< enticing to eyes watching mama's pink roses bloom
fourty years later someone else now cares for them
fresh cut daily and seen in her arms their long stems
tears streaming down face I sit under swollen moon
waiting watching for sun to come up again soon

The Rain and Wind

The wind blew events all over the place.
Intense emotions and it gave chase.
Lightning lighting to show us the sky.
People try to sleep and not cry.
Wisping by the wind keeps us awake.
The time trying to sleep the storms take.
Chills in everyone gives all shiver.
The clouds surrounded by moonlight is silver.
Heavenly prayers that the rain will stop.
The flood stopped a car the person in it was a cop.
People have seen such devastation.
The road that people made was week in creation.
Rivers near by was over flowing.
Trees that were there was not showing.
By the hour it claimed many.
My father woke up and did not see any.
Floating by was a boat.
Keeping people above water and a float.
My father kept a canoe.
That some day we would use it, that he knew.
Time to paddle up and down the street.
The rain water kept getting on our seat.
It was so dark after the moon was behind the cloud.
Still the noise of thunder still covered the ears loud.
The smell of moist water never seem to go away.
My brothers seem to still sleep anyway.
My head was bobbing up and down.
I was so tired that I could not hear a sound.
The wind blew back and fourth.
It seems that my mom and dad paddle their worth.
Till all the people we saw with grace.
Help us out with embrace.
The time was so late at night.
Everyone was so sleepy and losing sight.
The fight with the weather was so hectic.
The feelings of energy was electric.
Losing to such natural disaster is hard to understand.
When people working hard to block the river with bags of sand.
With hard workers like my mom and dad.
They make things happen that is not bad.
Rough with weather they experience more than ever.
Leaders they are they are very clever.
From the night light of street lights to the morning glow.
The wind did not stop so.
Bringing in more clouds that ill.
The people who were still tired still had will.
The rush of water and waves blasting push the wall side.
Pushing and the force brought water inside.
The battle of our hour was getting long.
Backup people came to aid us was strong.
Rested they were to keep everyone with hope.
The people stopped the water with the strength of rope.
Heavy rain and loss of homes bring people together.
It is kind of sad that this was the only time to gather.
Chaos comes happiness how true.
This is why we are human that gives us a clue.
It is our nature to keep rain falling.
To know when it is time for our calling.
The winds bring such pain and sorrow.
That is why rain sometimes fallow.

Rescue 911

Look after Joe our mother said
We promised we would do it
She needed a break from all of us
And went out of town for a visit.

It was the spring of '93
The blizzard had ruined my place
So Sam was helping clean up my yard
Little did we know
We'd soon be red in the face!

I went down to check on Joe
He asked me to regulate his shower
I told him I'd do it later
And asked if he could wait an hour.

An hour passed, then two
We were busy with what we were doing
We forgot Joe needed a hand
And was sitting, waiting, stewing.

When I remembered to go back
I found it out of my power
For Joe had taken matters into his own hands
And was stepping out of the shower.

You adjusted the water, I began
Oh no Miss Emily
I could not do it myself
It was that nice policeman.

Where did you find a policeman
Out here in the sticks, I cried
Knowing in my heart something was wrong.
Easy Miss Emily, I figured it out
I needed help,
So I dialed 911.

I was horrified, afraid they would think us bad
For neglecting our uncle that fine spring day
Too busy to give him what he needed
Scared they'd take him away.

Oh no probem Jane
The man said when I called
We understand what happened today
Just tell Uncle Joe if he does it again
That out of his pocket he'll pay.

Our mother was not happy with us
But eventually thought it great fun
That Uncle Joe took matters into his own hands
And for help, dialed 911.

Bless it be Thee!

May 27, 2010

Bless it be Thee!

Bless it be Thee!
Truly, I love you.
My whole my new.
My heart your key!

Loose lips and free.
Realistically, I knew!
You are far and few.
I can justly let it be.

You know, it is Gemini’s Full Moon tonight,
The Universe is waking up figuring us all out.
Point me out as a random beam of Moonlight,
I am engulfing and enriching charts in route.

Swiftly suited, I stand in my place!
Bless it be it to Thee! A closed case!

On The Road To Heaven { Mom's Elegy }

< We are gathered here today to celebrate Bernadine Goerlich's life
Though taken from us to soon she has now risen to be with the Lord
Do not fret for greif and sorrow shall pass too
Let us bow our heads and pray
                      In thy name of the Father Son And Holy Spirit  {Amen }

At the tender age of 70 she lived her life to the fullest
Raising a family of 10 she always had an xtra room
For she loved her God family friends and her beloved pets
And even heard of her always baking cakes cookies pies and italian foods
She really must of had her hands full with 5 boys and 5 girls

For Lord please cradle her in your everlasting arms
Wash away her sins and lift her spirit to you
For she has earned her wings of golden tone
And now can rejoiced with her own Father and Mother
In God's jubliee Kingdom Let us pray {Amen]

Observer

A serpent underneath blue sky,
in shade of man, in twinkle of an eye,
above brick wall, in the structure, at the floor,
venom of white dove; contaminated food, undrinkable water,
misguided youth, pregnant daughter, unfaithful father and hateful son,
mothers do pray while we walk through Babylon;
on teli and in the press, on top shells,
price none the less, in bedroom and at your door..
dawn of a new day seemed to be dark,
after all.

Little lad, big dog

Little lad, and big dog

The two, they did together sit
Big dog, and little lad
And I must say I do admit
That lad is looking sad

Cause his Mummy she has gone
In a health centre to stay
Big dog felt it going on
When the lad refused to play

So Bear Cub, he’s our Rottweiler
He sees the lad’s not well
[That dog, he be a heart stealer
He cares, a man can tell]

He nuzzles softly the poor lads face
And whimpers softly too
My mind it never will erase
The love that did shine through.

Then Bear cub wagged his little stump
With a smile upon his face
He wriggled, then he made a jump
With all his clumsy grace

And soon the lad is up and going
And they’re running everywhere
The lad {our Jake} all glowing now
Relieved of all his care.

In My Mirror

In this mirror, you can hear the child in a tall grass field and running wild The timothy grass hides this boy from view Your watching, and wondering, is that you Too few summers, with many lessons to learn from earth, deer, trout, eagle and fern As student's we gain and strengthen our voice for the path we follow in life, is our choice Take joy in this journey but, leave no track If Mother Earth cries, then you can't go back I see in this mirror, that the child has grown a man,now stands strong, to hunt on his own As he ventures through this forest of strife making choices that affect generations of life Pray that his choices weren't guided by greed Mother Earth cried, the "Great Spirit" takes heed 50 years of choices, in this generation's reign Tears come to my eyes, I feel Mother Earth's pain Man's greed and arrogance spoiled water, air, sky and land Mother Earth, I see is crying, poisoned by human hand With grand-children sick, from this contamination of earth I ask grand-father's guidance, that he return Mother's mirth Man has stopped listening, he's only guided by greed Are only deaf people listening, I keep planting the seed I need your strength and wisdom to guide me along without fear of what's coming, my relations are strong Now I see in the mirror, an elder in white This mirror fades to darkness, I pray for the light

Alone

Me... I was standing on that stranded Island...... alone........ Looking back..... into my Life... the past...... I felt.... I was not alone in those..... I was surrounded with my friends, relatives and all... But here in the end.... I became alone...... For ever.... I felt like I was a romantic poet those days..... I looked into the mirror of time..... The past... I knew that I was a poet..... An artist..... A performer...... More than all, I was a clown to all..... I went back to to the time along with my memories.... There I saw her..... She was with me...... She was Crying, Laughing, Teasing me..... I felt....... I was in her lap..... for decades or more.... But today even she left me....... and I am alone...... Again I went back along with my memories...... There I saw my mother...... I was with her ..... for more than several years..... Now, I feel........ My mother was better any way... But I missed her..... All I know is I left all my fellow beings only for my love...... But today even she left me....... and I am alone......

Blue Rose

The Blue Rose
secretly grows
upon a Hill of Heathers
where?
seldom do know

Songs speak of its
existence
but few have lived to see
its rich blood blue petals
smells of sweet ginger and honey

The legend has it
the blue rose can cure
a thousand different ailments
although, I am not
sure

My Grandmother told me
if you eat three petals
before you sleep
the disease which
infects, out of you
it will seep

Not many have heard
the powers of the
blue rose
for it secretly grows
where seldom
do know

My Kashmir Burns (Part 1)

I picture Kashmir through lightened KL. News of another massacre darkens my eyes
Winds are thirsty there. They continue to taste the young blood.
I groom myself with exquisite things,
Sipping ice tea in ac room, I comfort myself
And Kashmir burns. Kashmir set ablaze

I can smell the warm blood of beaten corpse
Where from winds bought this smell. Somewhere Karbala reborn.
Mosques are being slammed
There windows stoned. And the black boots leave their footprints on Mimber
Even God judges on evidence
There is one Imaam left now; he hides her daughters in his shadow
A blunt knife in his hands; soon he will sacrifice them to keep their innocence
Kashmir is burning. Kashmir is bleeding
And I write.

Army jeep chases the tracks. To find the associated bodies
They are alive now. Soon they will be dead
From Patan to Sopor, And in narrow passages of nostalgic downtown
Ghosts of curfew
Haunt the houses for young souls.

From the Kupwara cantonments, search lights chase emptiness
Nothing is left now. Search lights can’t see inside the graves
A boy there went missing for two days. His father starts digging his grave.
I put my earphones on and I close my eyes. I sleep
While my Kashmir is ablaze
“It’s me poor farmer’s son. Kupwara’s charm, I feel no pain”.
I see him so alive in my dreams.
He chants songs of Mahjoor from his burnt lips. My hands shiver. He has no finger nails.
I see his smoke tanned skin. Same as that of Khayam’s barbeques
He stands at a distance from me. I can still smell kerosene
“Tell my mother to let her heart become cold. Her heart will not bear my state.
Tell my mother to let her eyes become blind. Her eyes will not withstand my sight.”
I follow him towards his tortured body. He tells me to follow the spilled blood.
His blood has made its own Jhelum. I row on it. Until it gets lost in black boots
The story will turn into legend. I find his body no more.

On the streets silence prevails. Nobody has permission to wail.
Sisters are beatifying coffins while brothers look for stones.
For bullets there will be stones
Kashmir is ablaze. She is wailing in grotesque tones.
In Lal Ded hospital a new born cries: Father register me at cantonment then take me out
Death is recruiting in dozens at a time.
Tomorrow is curfew. Death has no curfew pass.
How they want to identity you. Becomes your identity
People burn up all you identity cards.

A Perfect Day

I sink into the steaming bath and soak my cares away,
A glass of wine to cure the pain the damp brought on today;

No screaming son to demand my time, today is just for me,
A book is all I need to be as content as I can be;

I call the local pizza place as the water cools and bubbles fade,
I order up a large for me and hope it’s not delayed;

Soon the delivery man is on his way with a heavenly pizza pie;
And I intend to enjoy every slice, just me, myself and I;

The rain is coming down in torrents as I snuggle up on the couch;
I slowly start feeling more like me, instead of Oscar the Grouch;

I turn on my favorite movie, the one I’ve seen a thousand times;
I enjoy every second as I relax, feeling sublime;

My family will be home soon and their needs I’ll have to tend;
The sun sinks lower in the sky, as my perfect day draws to an end.

L O M L Always

The thought of her smiling gave me faith
From when we were little we bathe
My mother and her mother is best friends
They both took care of us and gifts they send
We pulled each others hair
And she was always quick to dare
When I smiled at her she knew it was no good
She learned to pull me up and she understood
I just wanted her attention and that she gave
She knew it in her heart love was my slave
From when we were a child with full of energy I had my way
She was the one who was my guide and she did not push me away
When I saw her cry one day and her eyes was so sad
I gave her a flower and I smiled at her and made her glad
When some one special leaves her heart
I sat by her and never wanted to depart
She is the love of my life always
She is the one who gave me my hope through out my days
So I gave her my heart and love from within
And I did not make it thin
I stood by her side since I was a child
I gave her my support when we were wild
She knew who I was and I let her go the distance
I did not hate her or give her resistance
My mother and her mother are great friends and their virtue will never end
Because of their love they both trusted us to live our ways to transcend
So my childhood friend was my best friend, and now my wife
She new it from the start that we part of each others life

When I hold your hand
I know its true
your love for me
has truly grew
from a hill to a
mountain
your the only one
I can count on
to be there when times
are lonely
in all your sweet
kisses and hugs, you
have shown me
your love is my treasure
and we can stand strong
through any weather
as turtle doves,
we fly together forever
when I hold your hand

My Mama

My Mama she trips out in the moon light
when I’m safely tucked up in bed
she dresses to wow her audience
but I know not of her occupation
when I ask I am greeted by silence
and then “You will understand when you grow up”

My Mama she returns at break of day
before the curtains begin to twitch or draw
she’ll come in exhausted and fix my breakfast
then checking in on me she’ll wake me for school
before she goes off to bed – she’ll see me later
to ask about my day and play

A Mamas kiss, a smile, a hug, warmth, food and a roof
Yet when we go out together people turn
to talk to one another, quietly nodding
Funny looks are cast our way and yet not one shall speak to us
Aged nine in school I find out why
when another child will laugh

“Ya Mama works the streets
lies on her back, watches the sky – to feed ya
-Tis what my Ma said”
It makes me cry
I love my Mama
but this shame hurts

I want to die…

The long ago scent.

Hush now, listen, that sound above the clouds.
Is it in your minds own eye or is it from the winter crowds?
They tease us as they make there way,
frosted windy dark and grey.
This sound I hear is one I taste, I smell the air and see the day.

My feet are bare, they sense the mirth,
it belongs to them, this enchanting earth.
I dare not tread too deep or tear,
for it might break this spell I fear.

Walking forth inside this dream, with weathered feet and legs so lame,
it is as if I fell in love, again again to this fine dame.
The leaves they drip from the sun they kiss,
the moist embrace of drops are bliss.

I look above too catch the sound of summers perfect song,
hail to you thy song is pure, your love is true, I cant be wrong !
Hands stretched out as if to reach I shake this dormend man,
so here you are, for you once more, she's done the best she can.
So quick so fast your soul will know,
jump the shrub and enjoy the show.

There they are for one and all, ocean sky, earth and rock,
they lay aside there different days and never dare to mock.
Forget it not for this is true,
this home's alive for me and you.

marking time....to my friends on poetry soup.- the Lord helped me fight death and won.

i don't want to be just marking

time. i died on november 20,

2008, during surgery. i was

on a vent when i awakened

december 2, 2008....my sisters'

birthday. what made me llive

i'll never know. i know there

are things to do on this side

of death.

i have no time for marking time.

i have a stupid bag hanging from

my side now. i am supposed to

"get comfortable with it". well

that was a laugh.

that was a laugh until i thought

of the people that had these

things with no hope of ever

getting away from them.

i am so lucky. 14 days i laid

on a vent, then 22 more.

i came home 3 days,

then

i had
great pain in my chest...
.
well this is great i said,

a pulmonary emboli, 15 more

days, three days home.

then back to e.r. blood pressure

too high. this bought me

4 more days in e.r.

i am home now and finally

have spent 19 days home.

i feel every pain and i feel

every time that i feel good

yes, i am never marking

time again.....there is

something about fighting

for your life and your sanity

that straightens things out.

i don't recommend it but

i wish i could let your hearts

know what i know.

A delicious day

Sifting warm sand
through my fingers
lustrous fine grains
glitter my palm.
Soothed
by the soft powdery touch,
I sit for a while
under the rocks
My bare feet
swirl patterns in the sand
as I idly watch
a beach life unfold

Bustling mother’s set up home
on plaid blankets
colourful beach bags
thick with togs and towels
Buckets, spades
strewn all around
a picnic stored carefully
under a shady umbrella,
they gather the children
skip giddy with glee
slapping sunscreen
on lithe limbs
with index finger
warnings
of do's and don'ts.

My gaze drifts to
little pink sisters,
their chubby faces
alive with imagination
as nimble bodies
straddle the sand,
all wrapped up
in mounds of castles
studding their dreams
with pearly shells
and whispering tales
of pretty princesses.

At the water’s edge
long legs prancing
tip toeing warmth
into the chilly sea
up to their waists in
crested waves
dipping and diving,
an ocean of laughter
as young lads play
splashing and yelling
a ball in the air
they plunge.

Picking up my sandals,
I walk up the beach
under the bridge
past crimson valerian
It’s balmy perfume
scenting a delicious day

I Imagine

I Imagine

I am ashamed that I don't have the courage to approach you
Although I crave your conversation
Feelings of nervousness arrest me
I imagine how wonderful it must be to hear you speak my name
Oh how I wish that you'd initiate the first move
Be my hero and rescues me from this solitude
I am cursed with anticipation
I intentionally stand close to you so that I may steal a whiff
Of your heavenly scent
I sneak cautions glimpses of you
Our eyes meet in startled glances
I am embarrassed—you are inspiring
I can write about your infallible features forever
I want to share this gift my Father has given me with you
Your amber skin demands attention
It's painted marvelously
As if the Angels had mixed the colors themselves
I imagine stroking this sensational canvas
So gently that only the ridges of my fingertips are felt
Individually I count the tiny hairs on the nape of you neck
A favorite of my unknown talents
You are perfect and near me and yet you are distant
Unreachable as Grandmother Moon
I imagine holding you feeling safe in your eyes
I'd address you as my darling, my woman, my love
I imagine our love making
Here is where my imagination is at its best…
We'd disrobe each other violently for we are carelessly excited
Avalanches of kisses leave traces of my breath upon your physique
Euphoria entraps me
I wish to be inside you
I lay you down
My hands exploring you finding the inside
I kiss you drawing your attention to me you ignore the pain
Your hand grips mine pushing me in deeper
Tilting your head back pleased with pleasure
Your Latin Language confuses me
But I understand your eyes...
So I taste you
The friction on my face is fantastic
Your body dances to a tune you allow only me to play
Without warning, I pause
It's not meant to tease you my love
It's only me wanting to share my spirit as you reach enlightenment
I delightfully mount you
Caressing your hair waiting for the precise moment out eyes meet
You bring me to you
I exist only for you and you welcome me in
Our bodies pulsate as we make love
You are my woman, and I, your man
And in this moment of mirage I love you
I can only imagine that one day you will love me too

WHAT I IMAGINE

What I imagine is beyond my years,
An equilent stare
And an equilent ear.
 A sombre mind
Is what one ought to have, but I foresee
What plays in my head
Is a movie
Of such great distress,
I see a young girl,
A good girl,
And the other side
Of the mirror
Is a different
Sort of girl.
More like the one before
In the image the mirror gives off.
If one would say the mirror lies,
Then that one would realise
The only thing that stands between these two girls is the thin membrane called glass.
Yet with the absence of such, they are merged into one. And when they come out to play
A tiny piece of each stands out like the small glow of the paraffin lamp my grandmother used to forbid us to use
Their memories of each other
Are like the memories
Of one individual person,
Yet seeing them
Side by side
Would greatly outline
Their stalk differences
But in world of fear
You can only love one
And their tears are the only thing that mimics their distress.

Celestial Mother

Once great always great I say to you.
Upside down or right side up you be.
Once upon a time and a time once was she.
Gathering the universe and shining a Star or two.

Then one day She shot down to Earth out of the blue.
She gathered Her crops and made circles wide and free.
She made them so big the whole of the world could see.
She took the Stars the Sun and Moon making them new.

She shined talents never quite seen.
Amazing and sparkling from up above,
She is the smartest thing ever so keen.
She is abundant in spreading Her love.

She is our Celestial Mother in Heaven,
Separated by the empty shells of leaven!

The Mother Earth

            The Mother Earth

The fountain of your profound love
Gushing out with presents and gifts
Showering bounties, its treasure trove
To all mankind your love drifts.

Your rivers and seas, forests and fields
Are full of provisions to banish hunger
You do not relent to meet our needs
You distinguish not between rich and poor

Your hidden treasures are not clueless for us
Your gold, silver, sapphires, diamonds
And precious pearls invite us to transgress
You serve us fruits, resins, cashews and almonds.

We owe our strength and courage to you.
Our bright eyes, our beauty and robust health
Are all your gifts to be honest and true
Your contribution is no less in amassing of wealth.

Your dazzling days and darkness of nights
Are skillfully designed for working and rest
Your changing seasons innovation invites
When dead our body enters your chest

But thankless we are, we deface you with tar
We cut your trees and raise jungles of concrete
Our wastes poison your rivers, seas and air
And thus havocs like tsunamis greet.

You meet all my wishes and desires
I want much more, I can’t shed temptations
My closets filled with diamonds and sapphires
And garments of every description and narrations

You gave me dazzling youth and power
To ease my travel there is petrol, coal and gas
For my fields and gardens you gave shower
Colorful flowers, bees, butterflies like dancing lass

You gave me power, strength and courage
To face tyrannies of anguish you made me bold and tough
To confront life you gave me every advantage
My body strong like hawk and heart filled with love

I am lying on your grass spread like a rug
My mother come, give me a hug

Is It A Dream World

A funny little clown, a bright red nose.
Lots of make-up, and bright blue bows.

Children laughing, some fat and some thin.
Either dressed in new clothes or rags that are faded and dim.

Pretty white ponies with beautiful glittery saddles.
And again, those funny clowns are hitting eachother with paddles.

One clown keeps fallimg and pretending to cry.
The other is daydreaming and lets out a big sigh.

There are beautiful ladies whose costumes are rare.
And a man who scares the children by dressing up as a bear.

Fantasizing is a convienient thing, it keeps the shock low.
So the surprise about the real world won't be such a big blow.

"Surprised about what"? is what you ask next.
Its something you can't learn in a text.

You'll learn about life by the things you go through.
You'll learn about whats fake and about what is true.

You'll see that the clowns are still funny and have a red nose.
But then you'll see realize only money buys the ladies rare clothes.

That's also when you realize your clothes are faded and dim.
And you recognize how many times you've been beaten by him.

Yes, those clowns with paddles are at it again.
Funny. They are married and they're children number ten.

Thier children are scared and crying in bed.
Because thier big mean daddy made thier sweet mommy dead.

Summer Flowers

A flower as blue as the sea, A flower as green as green tea. A flower as yellow as a bee, A flower as gold as a key. A flower as purple as a plum, A flower as pink as a drum. A flower as orange as a jet, I wonder if I can get any flowers for my mother. Aunika Alch Age 11

Jackson, Back in Action

It was an early September storm,
Jackson the Pug, didn't have a thing to do
so he found an old comic book
about a Super Hero who wore a cape,

He climbed up into his favorite easy chair
and began to read,
or should I say,
look more so at the pictures.

it didn't take long however,
before Jackson began to get sleepy
he took a deep breath, and sighed
and fell into a comfortable sleep

Then he began to dream!

He dreamed of being on a roof top,
and he heard,a terrible noise from the alley below
he poked his head over the ledge and saw
A huge Rottweiler, had a Mother Cat and her kittens cornered.

Jackson, without thought, sprang into Action
down the fire escape he ran, his red cape
aloft, trailing him, with a circle with the
Big letters SP in the center of it

The last landing, had a roll down ladder,
but Jackson leaped the last fifteen feet,
Super Pug, Canine Super Hero took flight
In a flash, he landed between the Rottweiler and
the Cat family.

he quickly turned, and glared at the Rottweiler
and said" Large Canine Evil doer, I am Super Pug
you will leave these citizens alone, and leave,
or your fate shall rest in my Paws"

With this the Rottweiler began to howl,
" Little flea, it is you who will leave or,
I will eat you as an appetizer " another howl
as he began to inch towards Jackson.

"You were warned" snarled Jackson, "Now meet your fate"
Thwap! Pop! Smack! Howl! Smack! Thud!
Jackson moved like lightening, his cape a blur,
the dust settled, the Rottweiler was down and out

" Oh Super Pug" said the Mother Cat,
You're my Hero, and licked his face.
just then, Jackson woke up from his little nap,
with a blanket, just like his cape covering him!

With Janice Pug, his wife, licking his face!

A Kaleidoscope

A kaleidoscope, a mixture of colors and light
So hard to describe so hard to write
Just like a life just like mine
Here is mine my time to shine

The colors change just like time
A life goes on to hit its prime
No matter what it keeps on changing
Just like life keeps on arranging

My story begins at age six
When life was suddenly no easy fix
The Kaleidoscope began to turn
And its center began to churn

My father left our family home
He left alone to go and roam
Suddenly the Kaleidoscope went dark
Even now it’s left its mark

It remained unturned for about two years
And the movement became quite severe
My Mother moved away from home
To improve her new teaching career

The shades of blue came into play
As most of my family had passed away
My mother was strong and held my hand
Even though nothing had gone as planned

My family will always be in my heart
Those small blue beads will play their part
At that time I was almost nine
I pretended that I was just fine

The colors changed from blue to red
I went on with almost no dread
At age eleven I moved once more
I moved again to the California core

I spent the next year in shades of green
All the kids were just too mean
I went to Junior and then Senior High
Then it was time to say goodbye

The Kaleidoscope turned and made a painting
My life became very entertaining
That’s when I met you for the first time
My hope and happiness began to climb

But My Father turned my Kaleidoscope for me
And I asked and cried my pitiful plea
On the weekends the kaleidoscope turns black
With nothing there to change it back

There are ups and downs, lights and darks
With many blond moments and smart remarks
My life will always be turning fast
Even so I have time to look back at my past

If I remember one thing it is that
My life was nothing like combat
But I still fought wars of my own
Without them my world would still be unknown

There is nothing quite like a kaleidoscope
It’s a symbol of change and hope
I like to think my life is like this
So look back and reminisce

Look back at your thoughts and dreams
But remember nothing is as it seems
The Kaleidoscope will turn to show your past
What was boring and what was a blast

Mine shows everything you’ve done for me
You showed me how fun life can be
You made my life what it is now
To this day I still wonder how

Thank you for turning my Kaleidoscope
And giving me strength and the power to cope
You made my life a beautiful rainbow
You deserve more than you will ever know

Halloween's Song

Its your Halloween rave, having your mascaraed
With all your best friends from back in the day
Liz Lauren and Blake and while they're dressed like skanks
I'm on the front line of battle
Howlin like jackle with A real nasty cackle
puttin a razor blade in the sack of Blake's apples
crack in Lauren's snapple
Staddle Liz like mclovin
But I am more like faghole As I babble at her ass
Axe her fast and mash her up like cattle
Sneak back and tackle your dad and put him in shackles
Shove sour patch kids Down your trap and gaggle
Its abominable, so unbelievable
But its inevitable, the end is kissable
I have rattled these kids psyches
squirming like a centipede, cutting them like celery
hear their squeamish screams echo in the streets
as the creepy bells of the chapel ring

I remain a mystery
You'll need nancy drew, and at least 3 of the hardee boys to find what I'm up to
Theres this gloom that looms down in your basement room
Consuming shrooms, enhaling fumes to escape your doom
Witches zoomin by on their brooms makin sonic booms
Quick call scooby doo, but I killed him too
You heard a loud pound cause I cut the fuse so you
Run away to a motel room, assuming your safe
And As you look the other way,
I got my fangs in your veins and stranglin your neck
Too bad you didn't text your friends to tell them who is next
Hmm let me think for a sec. As Hex your boy rex
with an incessant twitch, till he is dead in a ditch
Hang him from bunny man bridge
Yo dude turn the lights on
But there's no flip to switch , I have flipped the script
Its bewitched with no miss to kiss
Exorcist with no priest to dismiss the spirit

So the town clock strikes half past 3
There's one last gas before i must sleep
Or i will crash fast if the light touches me
Put on the mask jack, just like the sixth scream
I need to grasp havoc, till i hear shrills and shrieks
Please back rabbit, these chills aint for teens
As I stick a cherry bomb in your moms exhaust pipe
Run up on you with nine a knife, and the head of your wife
Its useless I'm the nuisance that's abusive yet conducive
To your fear that I am near So close I could whisper in your ear
Smell the shampoo in your hair Wipe the floor with your tears
And as you look up in the mirror
I'm there ready to smear your blood all over the chair
as I stab you with my spear I crush a coors beer then
Leave you re crops there dead, red spread on the floor
But I hear a knock on the door
Are you okay honey? "Yes mommy, just got a cold sore"

Here Without You

Here without you
Paints me a realization that life isn't easy
It displaces the settling railroad
Taken away by the midnight train's calamity

Waiting impatiently
to face some inspiration given by God
Over the driver and I

By the way you shrivel up in anger,
I'm not ready to cross through the trampled street
Trampling over the infected cycle...unprepared to face reality's misfortune
Swimming in its ungrateful punishment

Settling in my sorrow state...shaping my way away from ignorant fate
You lie in scrumptious desires, supposedly independent in your heart-seeking choices
To burn the aches and rashes for all the times you fooled us...took us for granite
What do you have left to diminish?
To accomplish?

Here without you is like refusing an outspoken crowd, applauding in satisfaction
Ruining the family's reputation...flustering the gas station
Jaded by your defiant outbursts

Holding up my clutched fists in shame
Holding back tears that reck a moment's peace

This betrayal...not deserving a name

You were passing near us, snickering and cursing our form...our completive family
You wish for scrumptious desires...shaping your heart in frightening lies that strike the innocence of your presence

All the years seem to leave us behind
Settling in the resistible past
Passing our unachieved, future goals
Poverty splattering us in shapeless love

Rummaging mad as a furious bear in danger of unyielding snares

Are we on time to reach the morning train?
And start our life in a new cycle
This family barely has anything to gain
You aren't even offering us any advice...same be for you,
Pleasure-seeking mother

Here without you is competitive, but affordable and fair
We aren't crushed against your passionate glares

Here without you is an unhappy environment
Too caught up in unbearable suffocation and useless bafflement

Here without you
Paints me a realization that life isn't easy
It displaces the settling railroad
Taken away by the midnight train's calamity

Come home... face your fears and embarrassment
Get away from the monstrous zoo, snatching away impressing love
Help repair this tear between the whole family with our handyman
Giving it time to grow stable and secure

This family barely has anything to gain
You aren't even offering us any advice...same be for you,
Pleasure-seeking mother

Good riddance

The Guardian of the Morning Light

The Guardian of the Morning Light,
Creeps out of his little space warm and soft.
No one will waste that precious morning light.
Our little fur ball will see to that.
Oh ye of little sleep…
Give up the covers or ye will weep.
The door becomes his drums,
To announce the morning rays of the sun.
He wakes the dogs up to whine and pace,
Eventually they will lick our face.
The window curtains will begin to part till they…
Shower our faces and eyes with light… not soft.
Then the bed begins to shake…
As everyone begins the climb to our face.
But the secret weapons are about to come in.
The kitty has awoken the little children.
Cold feet assail us as they climb in place.
The dreams of a cuddle are now replaced…
But tomorrow will be another day
If I could only find a place to keep him at bay.
ZZZ’s are the treasure of days gone by…
But the future is richer with all these guys.

Now, if only, the Guardian of Light will be polite
And give us one more minute of sleepy respite…

False Senses

Do you realize that you lost? Do you realize that I won? Or did you think it was a tie In your sick twisted mind? Stuck in your lies Concrete at your feet You never took a step You never made a sound When the gun was fired And I ran for my life Do you realize that you lost? Battered and tossed By your own malfunction Wires you crossed Leaning on a crutch From wounds self inflicted Do you realize that I won? Running like fire Brighter than the sun Autumn behind my head Summer in my eyes So near the finish line The reward is mine Or did you think it was a tie? Tangled web behind your eyes Wrapped in delusions Coming to false conclusions In your sick twisted mind Do you realize that you lost? Do you realize that I won? Or did you think it was a tie In your sick twisted mind? Stuck in your lies Concrete at your feet You never took a step You never made a sound When the gun was fired And I ran for my life

Creature

Observing.
Frozen in time,
captivated by this enormous being,
the size of a small car.

Pondering,
his every move.
The way he used his hands;
so child-like.
With all the consciousness of the world,
and graceless coordination.

Aware.
of the visitors,
as they briefly called out for his attention.
Only for a moment,
then they were gone.

Untamed,
in an orderly sham.
He sat there,
in his dark cave.
As if he was waiting for the light to find him.

Perched,
on a boulder,
squatting, and primitive.
Drawing in the dirt with one hand.
Swatting a fly with the other.

Surreal,
His nature,
as he rushed to consume his food.
The females hovered behind him,
watching intently,
like me.
His movement mechanic.
His presence powerful.
He was the king of his domain.

Studying,
his magnificence, I watched.
How smart was he?
Could he feel my presence?
Engulfed in the very essence of all that was him,
I watched.

Wondering,
how he felt, I watched.
Did he think he was still in the womb of Mother Nature?
Or, did he know the iron bars which embrace him now?

Then
it happened;
our eyes met.
He noticed my presence.
His gaze intimidated me,
But I did not look away.
He approached me.
I felt his eyes inspecting my soul.
A chill ran down my back,
I turned behind me,
only to find no other presence there.
When I turned back,
we were face to face.
Separated by the sham,
And a two inch piece of glass.
Just me and him,
the two of us,
and the females hovering behind him.

Wise,
His old eyes spoke to me,
They said
“I am like you.
I love, I feel, I hurt.
I am, like you.”

Sympathetic,
I put my hand on the glass
and with all the
consciousness of the world,
he did the same.
With tears in my eyes,
I smiled.

Then, he pooped in his other hand
and wiped it on the glass.
This was a sign of endearment.
I laughed out loud.
And I swear,
He smiled back.

Forever Somewhere

Watch me as I shoot across the midnight sky
Looking almost as beautiful as I am fast
I do my best to try not to die
But we both know that I cannot last

Flames and faith blazing as I go
Because I know that just up around the bend
Is forever somewhere that I do not know
Is forever somewhere near my sweetest friend
Is forever somewhere where I still love you so
and forever somewhere near my bitter end..

Season's Greetings!

Oh yes! I am bringing to you my sweetest “Season’s Greetings”!
We’re all for one and one for all we have our gradual meetings!
In just one single season;
I can change my very significance,
Into my natural underlining supernatural spiritual being,
I am inducted into a higher level of a thorough healing.

Autumn decorates Mother Earth’s leaves with painted colors of a much clever design.
Winter sheds its leaves harvesting bared naked trees perfected by one purely divine.
Spring brings many blessings by bundles pleasing my senses delicately I’m breathing.
Summer sparkles in midnight’s mystical air soothing my torturous day stained in sweat.
Balanced by my four winds in heaven into brilliant glory,
Each day you and I personally have pleasured and met!

“Season’s Greetings”!
Great Goodness!
I ‘m believing in exactly what it is I‘m seeing and feeling!

“Season’s Greetings”!
Goodness Gracious!
I’m feeling Mother Earth moving a healing inside of my own natural being!

A Sun so bright, glaring shiny throughout the endless midnight skies spreading wide out.
A Moon so light, beams flow through down into depths of seas netting webs on a mount.
Skies so high my breath loses sight in the glare of golden visions all at once I forebear.

Shallow rivers and high Mountains sounding to winds of decrees summoned by degree!
Valleys and fields rain top rocks of thunderous clouds striking down at the perfect pair.
‘Tis Season’s Greeting adjacent to humbling breaths with heirs to a mightier new year!

Lily Flower

How could I forget those days when the Lily Flowers blossom
in mother's garden
when it sprouted its enlarge bundle of flowers around the zinc fence
moments when strangers gazed
moments when bugs feast to joy
How could I forget this all
the days when its leaves struggled in the long rainfall
How could I forget the days when children crowded themselves just to touch the softness
of the flower
the days when mother sweat for an hour
How could I even forget that special day when mother and I went outside
only to see our neighbor whom we did not knew trespasses in mother's garden
we laughed with our mouth shut
he then say goodbye
How could I forget mother's garden
the days she planted flowers
How could I forget the days when she whipped my younger siblings
for damaging her only planted flowers.

earth so solid,

grass so green,

the sweetest toes I've ever seen.

smile so radiant,

hand so small,

in this moment I have it all.

dirt so pure,

water cold,

here is the place my heart unfolds.

play with me mama,

dance with me,

sing to me,

let your soul go barefoot...

Mother's Point of View

I cry every night but I don't know why.
I wait for my husband in solitude until I hear the doorbell ring.
It's my husband!
I guess we'll have a bite or two.
I open the door and it isn't him.
I start to cry but I don't know why.
I've done my fair share of crying but as my friend puts her arm around me, I start to
shiver and weep even more.
My daughter my daughter! I want my daughter back.
It's been too long.
She couldn't even see her little brother graduate from eighth grade.
My daughter. My poor daughter can't even see her kids.
My beautiful grandchildren may never see my mother's radiant face.
I can still hear her, " Honey, don't be afraid but I may die before too long."

Omens

Omens
- - - - -
The sweet aroma of rice; yonder bare fields;
on the stone the dark patches of water pitchers
and her looking at the sky where buzzards fly,
are completing the composition of waiting.

She has been waiting too long; too long she has made her man
hold his patience all these while; believed peace will come.
Now these flying buzzards are looking ominous
like secret language which mystic nomads speak.

She trembles with the prospect of unknown evils.
A long wait for her son, returning from town,
from the all consuming town where he has gone
long, long, long time ago. But she has hoped for return.

She again watched for God’s language. Let him come.

meow on the wall
eight to go after the fall-
what a whisker risk-er!
And such a minxy tinker!
The paws at the door
straight to the cupboard crumb
sneaky biscuits for the tum,
and into the hall a cry "Mum!-
What's for dinner?"

Dead in winter contest

As I sit here waiting for the last bus run of the night
Memories of what just happened play in my brain filled with fright

I can barely feel my little toes
There was no time for socks I had to just go

The sirens still echo in my frostbitten ears
Frozen drops attempt to become my tragic tears

Last I recall we were doing just fine
A Pillow fight and a glass of red wine

His mother called us down for dessert
Suddenly my throat began to hurt

He squeezed until I could no longer scream
This night of joy became a horrible dream

His brown eyes transformed to a devilish deep red
I’ll never forget the words he quietly said

“I could kill you and no one would know”
In my mind I begged for him to let go

What possessed him I will always wonder
Thank God his mother came up and banged on the door like thunder

I had no idea he had moved his dresser in front of the exit of the room
I was convinced I had met my eternal doom

While he was yelling for his mother to go the hell away
I jumped up fast and she heard me say

"Help he’s mad get me out of here"
She broke down the door and I ran out in fear

Last I heard him throw her down the stairs
I was long gone and extremely unprepared

I heard him behind me screaming my name
I kept on running in utter shame

He ran so fast and knocked me down
I fell flat on the icy ground

“Your mine forever don’t you leave”
I slipped out of my jacket sleeve

Down the hill I went rolling
As if my body was being used for bowling

The cops went racing up the mound
I heard him scream, so I know he was found

I have no phone no car or coat
Just three dollars and a crumpled up note

In my jeans from earlier that day
I should have listened to what it had to say

“Stay away from my son; you have no idea what he has done”
“Charming you may think but just like all the others you too will sink”

Now it all makes sense
He told me his mother was mentally ill and dense

He is the one who is severely deranged
I must get home this night has been exceedingly strange

As I rehearse this the bus finally pulls up to me
My stomach is in knots and I can barely see

Blood is streaming down my face
I just want to get out of this crazy place

Why is the man driving wearing a big black hood
I am so cold and devastated; thinking is doing me absolutely no good

The doors slam shut as I quickly sit down
I am the only one that seems to be around

I look in the rear view mirror and what do I see
Those chilling red eyes once again devouring me.

Testament Of Have Not

God gave me a life to visit the earth
To see the beautiful heaven
Full of fruits and awesome sky
Sets me free with joy and peace

God gave me a mother with full of love
instinctual, unconditional, and forever
persuaded me the greatness of motherhood.
I learnt how dearer was the mother for me
I enjoyed life with liberty and peace.

God gave me a dad with full of care
Affection and great regards
As everything was going grand
I start searching more pleasure and joy
Thus, I have been selfish being all my life.

I punished my parents for my own choices
For the pursuit of happiness.
All charming people, I fancy, are spoiled
And I forgot to wipe other’s tear.

I got sick and found that life is short
I know now how beautiful a day can be
When love and kindness touches the heart
with motherly love.
Be care and cared is only the route
to our common good, then
Return to the God rest in peace.

Taffeta, Silk,and Lace

As she walked down the stairs i could feel on the back of my neck goosebumps and
hairs

I was playing in a derelict house hiding from my friends behind some dusty old chairs

But something wasnt right she looked sad lonley and out of place

Looking back now i didnt feel scared she looked radient dressed in taffeta silk and
lace

I was Eleven at the time and thinking back to it now

I just knew she was a ghost but wasnt frightened dont ask me how

She didnt see me and she sort of glided not walked towards an open door

Curiosity got the better of me so i followed her wanting to see more

As i edged nearer the doorway i expected her not to be there

But she was and i heard her singing the sweetest song i swear

I was so taken by her radience serenity and calm

Then i realised shes a ghost they scare you but i didnt feel in any harm

She just sort of floated there seeing something i couldnt see

Then....the moment was gone as i heard my friends shouting for me

Ive never forgot that day its stayed with me forever

And as i grew up i researched the history of the house and was rewarded for my
endeavour

There used to live in that house a kindly lady she was a mother and a wife

But tragedy struck her family she lost her children so griefstricken

she took her own life

But legend as it she used to sing the sweetest lullabies to her children every night

To sooth them into sleep and chase away there fright

I often ask myself did she see me that long ago day

If ever im weighed down by troubles that just wont seem to go away

If im restless of sleep and the evening winds running fair

I swear i can hear the sweetest lullabies carried on the air

It eases me in to sleep then i dream of the sereness of her face

Gliding down that staircase resplendent in her taffeta, silk and lace

Anemones and shells my childhood

As I recall my past, it was a sea kissed life
summers spent roaming the Rabbit Burrows
cradled by dunes, beyond Tramore strand
towels stretched out on Woodstown beach
soft powdered sand, surrounded by forest
adventures in the Saleens, daring quicksand
of swimming with dad, high jumping waves
falling, laughing in great gulps of salt water
free and fearless, in our bare bronzed years

It was a sea salted life of wave-washed castles
of tide pools, alive with translucent shrimps
carmine anemones sucked tight to the rocks
periwinkles, hermit crabs, a world of shells
baby pink crabs moving sideways over stone
textured algae, salted, crisping in the heat
our faces stinging with sand and hot sunshine
we spent hours with nets, exploring the pools

After months and years of living near the sea
the landscape became an essential part of me.
I saw fuchsia ballerinas pirouette the breeze
sea pinks, grassy rosettes swaying on cliff tops
rocket, tiny lilac petals with succulent leaves
valerian, a candy floss pink, sweetly scented
We picked them and pressed them into books

I recall my child’s life with a skipping heart
when summers seemed to shine eternal
The rock pools taught us to treasure nature
togetherness bred a strong sense of self
a respect for the sea, the taste of freedom
when I open a book, I often find a flower
and shells - this child is forever combing

Thoughts in a Warm Room

She looked deep into his eyes
wondering why she loved him
It was not shape or personality alone
His tongue was sharp at times
and as he touched her magic parts
Wondering -- vanished

Winter Patrol

Another night on patrol
In this winter quiet, this winter cold
Breathing frosty air upon a midnight shadow
Yet nature’s soul is oh, so mellow

Does one dare to stir up the night?
Fill it with anger and tempt it to fight?
Before the morning dawn comes forth
Will there be a knock upon someone's door?

One will be wanted, by order of the State
Because the beating of a mother, age twenty plus eight
For a crime like that, no excuse should exist
But should it be handled on a night like this?

The county still sleeps on a December night
With no fear of evil or full hearts of fright
So alas, my county, sleep well until tomorrow
For my mercy in the morning, will not be borrowed

Forever Young, or Evan The Sage

Of all the Little Kings climbing
Hand over foot towards viciously tantalizing, grandiose
Constellations of which whir and buzz as wind up toys,
Glow worm manifestations
Of hanging mobile stars suspended from thread
Woven by The Fates from dreams vicarious
And still-warm brick oven hopes
Nestled sweetly in the ribcages' soft marrow,
My chest, agape, crackling with never quite dried blood,
The wound steaming fresh loneliness--a shrine
To the Stillborn--
Is stuffed clumsily on chubby, greased palms
With fresh wishes on old pennies,
Words teaming with glimpses of goodnight kisses
And soft, innocent breaths stirring upstream like salmon,
By the tenderness of only one Tarot Sage
And my Heart's desert riverbeds
Eagerly absorb a rain.

Invisible Me

They have eyes to see, but somehow, they don't see me
They say they love me, and how important I am to the
family.
I feel so alone' I can hardly breathe, I guess that's the
problem I wear my feelings on my sleeves.
They pass me by, going here, going there, but they never
speak so I guess I'm nowhere.
Invisibility should be my middle name, but terrible breaks
is my claim to fame.
I've always wondered, when will my turn come, to shine
to thrive, to be number one,
In the lives of my loved ones, those who care so deep'
who has let me down to the point of no sleep.
tossing and turning like a merry-go-round, I'm invisible
you see, so I can't make a sound.
I pretend not to be, not to know, not to see, how they
bend me, and break me, like a branch on a tree,
That tumbles in the wind on a stormy day, being tossed
about struggling, to find my way.
Someday they'll wonder whatever became of she, that
shadow of a person whose name was me.

I have written

I have written about love and it loss
I have written about death and its cost
I have written about being free
I have written about me
I have written about almost every thing
I even wrote about spreading my wings
But the one thing I have not wrote about at all
Is this silly picture on my wall
He is funny looking and would make you laugh out loud
His little face turned up to the clouds
My little prince with candy on his chin
And a big ice cream cake grin
It was his first birthday

Musical Notes That Soothe The Soul

You come home with a grim expression
Ignoring the screaming and fighting
Another trashed night of insults and threats from your parents
Blams flying left and right but the only thing you can think about is getting to your santuary
Placing the headphones on, blocking the noises of broken glass and collapsing bodies
You hit play quickly and soon your day has suddenly become more bareable
You relax finally and lay yourself down on your floor
Holding yourself in the fetal position, hugging your knees tightly
You close your eyelids and take a deep breath
No more fighting
No more sadness
Only happiness and joy fill your mind
The beats and different tones coarse through your ears not screams and insults
You tap your index fingure on your knee to the beat of the music
Humming and singing to the lyrics
You begin to imagine your own little world where you can escape to
You smile widely as you see your parents looking at you and grinning back
They invite you into their arms for a warm embrace
You take it all in, making sure not to miss a single moment
You cry tears of happiness and bliss
You look up to them and you say: "I Love you"
But when your world suddenly began to fade away
and reality came into view
You brace yourself for the blow to your stomach
Crashing to the ground, you hold youself and cover your face
Your mother shouting and pleading your father to stop
Your hair being pulled, slamming you against the wall
Grabbing your arms tightly he squeezes as hard as he could, hearing the crunch
Your blood curdling scream doesn't phase him a bit
Your mother tries to help you but he slams her into the corner of the wall
You slump to your floor again, laying there as you have a clear view of what is happening
Suddenly a knife comes raining down, you hold out your arm
Your mother now is suffering pain so severe
He comes up to you and roughly kicks your face
He leaves as you hear tires screaching and slowly the sound fades away
Now the only thing you hear is your so called 'little world' behind you
As your vision suddenly turns black

Mother Star

I am aimed and directed for a shooting star.
In the midst of a collision I am traveling far.

Nothing can stop me for I am on a lifelong mission.
I’m timing the clocks and gaining some recognition.

I am in and out of reality stumbling onto a delusion.
Sometimes I want to run free and go into seclusion.

The wind tries to hinder me so I shew it to go away.
I stand on the Moon and make the Sun arise a new day.

I am looking down at a world that is misunderstood.
If I could have I would have and then again I should.

But that is neither here nor there so I will fair.
I have accumulated a bit and have much to share.

However, there is a cornerstone one can get stuck.
One must find the mother Star and hope for lady luck.

Once you find it you will be well on your way,
You’ll rise with the Sun and be brighter each day.

Would You Believe Me When I Said

Would you believe me when I said,
When I asked for help, God gave me you?
My past was all lonely,
My life, a hectic zoo.
Would you believe me when I said,
When I requested a miracle, you came in my life?
I cried out to God,
That I was tired of these heartaches and strife.
Would you believe me when I said,
That I begged God for a friend?
And who else but you,
Would our God send?
Would you believe me when I said,
That when I was tired of living,
God sent me you,
To tell me to keep believing?
Would you believe me when I said,
That when I cried out for a mother,
He sent me you?
You’re better than a brother.
Would you believe me when I said,
That when I lost all my hope,
God sent me you?
I’m glad you didn’t tell Him “Nope!”
Would you believe me when I said,
That I couldn’t ask for anything more?
When He closed that window,
He opened this door.
	I’m so glad,
That God sent me you,
Mrs. Doris, I hope you believe me,
Because all this is true.

A Shot In The Dark { Narrative}

helplessly he stumbled
through the door
holding his bloody chest
Mother gazed into
her fourteen year old eyes
and just knew that he was up
to his old antics of gang banging
Yelling and cursing did nothing
to wake this kid up
Mother's tears flooded
like an open gate
she wondered
where she went wrong
raising him
for he had the best
of everything
a home a job an education
anything he wanted
or needed
was right at his fingertips
maybe having only one parent
in the household
or just not enough discipline
now she stands helplessly
over her young sons
lifeless body
lying on the kitchen floor
in a pool of blood
all that she could do now
was to pick up the phone
and call the police
and the morgue

She carries her butterfly net in hand
Softly she enters the path into wood

Tiny little girls become sisterhood
Drawn to nature are they, bugs, blooms, and
Toddlers follow, these of her motherhood

She spies butterflies in the thick hardwood
Escape today, play her spirit's demand
Softly she enters the path into wood

Away from the creekside where sometimes flood
Away into the scary woods not planned

To Be a Child Again by Kenny Davis

To Be a Child Again by Kenny Davis

I see the children of today
Their smiles take me away
To my times as a child
And the games that I would play

To be a child again
Means to be taken to an imaginary place
Where a box could be a house or race car
Or a ship in outer space

To be a child again
Means Mother is God in my eyes
My father is like my hero
Like Superman in the skies

To be a child again
There are many times, I would smile from ear to ear
I would jump into my parent’s loving arms
With nothing left to fear

To be a child again
Full of bedtime stories and fairy tales
Whether it was Jack and the Beanstalk
Or Jack and Jill with their water pails

To be a child again
My life filled with Mother Goose
The tails of Humpty Dumpty
And Green Eggs and Ham from Dr. Seuss

Now that I have grown
I recall my times as a child
So young, so innocent
So reckless and wild

To be a child again
My parents would wipe away every tear
It is all of those tender moments as a child
That I will always hold dear

She Said

She Said
By Spidey Williams

She gave me a kiss followed by a long hug
With the words “Never will I betray your love”
I’m here with you to the very end
As your grandmother and mother’s best-friend
I know you are scared to trust
But I understand you’re not much different then us
The longer we live the more we learn
The more we embrace love the more we get burned
The more we refrain from love the more we cry
The more we ignore love the more we lie
Life is what we make it I was always taught
So what life have we made for each other and how much did it cost
Were we over charged or did we fail to bargain for what we bought
Did we buy at first glance?
Or knowingly did we take that chance
Thinking we could sell it back at a higher price
Not realizing few people would actually want our life
Yet we live life like there’s no tomorrow
Then justify all of our sorrows
Then we act surprise when tomorrow comes and goes
When seasons changes and we finally reap what we have sewed
Realizing today is the aftermath of yesterday and tomorrow is the direct result of
today
Yet when do we now have time to pray
Or should I say
When will we take time to say okay?
I am only me
But I can be more than me
If only I accept the now for now and worry later later
Than maybe life wouldn’t seem that bad now later

I went to interrupt her and to voice my concerns
When she placed one finger on my mouth then
She said,
You said the longer we live the more we learn
The more you refrain from loving the more pain burns
The more we embrace love the more we cry
The more we ignore love the more we lie
Life is what it appears to be
Even in the time of misery
Life isn’t really mystery
It is a puzzle with all the necessary pieces of life
You have everything you need you just have to fit them right
  She said!

Reflections

There’s something about forty
I now see my mom and dad
As I peer into the mirror
When I’m happy or I’m sad

I see their joyful smiles
Often when I am glad
I see their frowning faces
Occasionally when I get mad

Reflections of them now
Forever on and on
They live inside somehow
For we share a common bond

I have my father’s eyes
I’ve got my mothers smile
It’s funny to see them every day
As I haven’t seen them in a while

So now, take at look at you
You’ll be amazed at what you’ll find
If you can’t see it yet, it’s true
Just give it some more time

MOM WHO AM I

Am I a duck that swims in the lake? Am I a truck that has lost its brakes? Am I a tadpole
swimming upstream? Am I the things at night that I dream?
NO MY CHILD
Am I a cat that meows out loud? Am I that silent person in the crowd? Am I that tree
standing amongst other trees? Am I those flying birds and the bees?
NO MY CHILD
Am I the rock that falls down hill? Am I the person who pays all the bills? Am I the sun that
shines in the day? Am I the stuff potters call clay?
NO MY CHILD
Am I never going to rise to the top? Am I going only so far and stop? Am I never going to
strive to be all that I can? Am I just running this race just to say that I ran?
NO MY CHILD
Am I going to stand if people treat me mean? Am I going to remember that I am a King or
Queen? Am I going to take my place in life? Am I going to grow up and have a husband or
wife?
YES MY CHILD
Am I going to cry all the time? Am I never going to dance when I listen to the chimes? Am
I like the rain that falls from the sky? Am I like the desert that is very dry?
NO MY CHILD
Am I going to go to unknown places? Am I going to win alot of races? Am I going to fall
down and get back up? Am I going to have goodness fill my cup?
YES MY CHILD
Am I going to be all that I can be? Am I going to treat people the way they treat me? Am I
going to seek wisdom when I can? Am I going to grow up to be a Godly woman or man?
YES MY CHILD
I am going to remember familiar faces? Am I going to be a Lawyer and try difficult cases?
Am I going to love with all my heart and soul? Am I going to love others when their love for
me grows cold?
YES MY CHILD
Am I going to honor my mother and father? Am I going to do it even when times get
harder? Am I going to have some bumps and bruises? Am I going to travel on fancy
cruises?
YES MY CHILD
Am I going to do the impossible things? Am I going to do those things that the eyes have
not seen? Am I going to be successful and be at the top? Am I going to keep trying and
never stop?
YES MY CHILD

Just a dream, just a dream...

Silent halls
a clock ticks endlessly on the wall
the smell of nothing in the air
nurses far away; they don't care
I'm going crazy. It's too quiet.
I'm in bed. Sterilized needles near it.
I'm scared of needles. Take them away!
Footsteps. My mom comes in. She whispers to me.
I look at her. Something's not right.
It's dark outside. Dusk has passed; it's night.
The calender reads December.
It was morning in August last I remember.
What's going on? Mom picks up a needle. I tense.
She grabs my arm. I want to run, the fear is intense.
I do. I run as fast as I can.
Away away away. I crash into a man.
He looks funny. He's all blurry.
My mom calls my name. I try to run.
The man grabs my wrist and I try to peer
at his face. He's still blurry. I see a leer
on his face. It frightens me. I thrash around
trying to break free of his hold. My mom is there. She found me!
My eyes widen as I see the mans face clearly.
My eyes open as wide as they can, nearly
swallowing my face. White. White. I'm in my room.
My breath comes out in gasps. I look at the clock. It's noon.
It was just a dream.
Just a dream.
Just a dream.

Cease

There was this little girl,
Her Mama's world.
Who frowned and drowned,
From her fears and tears.
She could never bare,
The fact that someone cares.
One day she ran away,
Never to think she'd miss the light of day.
Her Mama cried.
Thinking she had never tried.
Police stepped to the door,
Glancing at the bloody floor.
"I cease the day,
My daughter gets away.
Forever hold my peace,
As I let this trigger release.
The daughter dropped to her knees,
Asking her mother Why oh please?
She shut her eyes,
As she prayed to the skies.

The Missing Piece

She has always loved jigsaw puzzles
as far back as he can remember
she gets at least one a year
and leaves it on the kitchen table until it's done
she gets the 1000 piece puzzles now
her latest one is of lighthouses

They talk a lot on the phone
he started college a couple months ago
she loves to hear about his day
anything, everything he does
it doesn't matter what they talk about
because all she really wants to hear

is his voice

"I've been working on this thing since August"
he can tell she's really irritated
"1000 pieces, and I can't find the last damn piece"
he tries not to let her hear him chuckle
she has no idea how funny she is when she gets mad
it's November and after all the time she's put into it
she's sitting there on the other end of the phone
totally pissed because one piece is missing
"And it's right in the center where it's glaringly obvious"

When he walked in the door, he could smell the pumpkin pie
it was great to be home for Thanksgiving
he almost fell over when he came in the door
because she ran through the kitchen
and threw herself at him, laughing
and crying, and he spun her around

She's so happy he's home for a few days
he's going to help her put up the Christmas tree
just like they've been doing for years over the Thanksgiving holiday
she's also hoping she can talk him into steam cleaning the carpet
and replacing the balcony screen door

"Tomorrow I'm getting the turkey in early so we can eat by noon"
Any time was fine with him, as long as he can be here
"I'll make you a sandwich while you put your stuff away"
He walked past the kitchen table towards his room
"And if I'm lucky, maybe he'll find that damn puzzle piece" she mumbled under
her breath
With his bag slung across his shoulder
He glanced at the jigsaw puzzle
"That's great" he thought to himself as he noticed

The center piece isn't missing anymore

Genovive

Dearest, sweetest, Genovive, I pray that you will see,
The beauty of earth's many wonders, I pray that you'll believe.

When you look upon the ripples of the pond's great mass,
I beg that you would see your beauty, free to fly at last.

Beauty lies within your soul, and it's not hard to see,
And when you gaze at your reflection, you're gazing back at me.

Because you will be of my flesh, and you'll be of my bone,
Just remember when you glare, you're not staring alone.

When you one day are blessed to us, when our family is built,
We'll keep you safe, we'll keep you warm, wrap you in finest silks.

And if you're wondering, Genovive, if you are truely loved,
Just look down at your sweet reflection, you'll always be enough.

Sometimes it's hard with no where to run
No one to depend on,not even one
Trying to make the best for you and your child
Protecting them loving them all the while
Protecting Then From harm
Loving them until they die
Doing what you can to give them a better life
Trying to give them all they want and what you can
You've got to believe in yourself because there is no man
In your heart, you are man and woman
Man enough to teach,Woman enough to love them
Learn From your mistakes and you should proceed as you live
Shed blood and tears just as Jesus Did
Show all who didn't believe what you have done
But remember the feeling of not having anyone
Because that shows sometimes we are not together
Time after Time, We are alone in the gutter
But just take the past and set it on a shelf
And Remember, don't beleive in anyone more then yourself

Dangrous life but thts wht I wanted.
On my knees n looking at the grass a glock in the back of my

To do whatever it took to be the best, "ur time is up, u knw how
it is right just is wht it is",
"No!!!!!" One of the biggest n loudest with a echo scream I
heared, my mom, scared the guy n shoot me in the back, right
lung my mother hold me in her arms 30 mins waiting for the
ambulance, i was in n out hearing her talking to me praying n
asking for help words bearly would come out,
"It's time to clear things out n get things out of the way with
god, he'll judge if i stay or go with him, please mom stop crying
for me."
One full month in the hospital critical conditions only woke up
5 times n always she was there no matter wht she wanted to be
there.
"You don't learn do you?" My mom said laying on the sofa
"I'll be back, have to take care of one thing" I replied
"We all have a mother just keep tht in mind".
On ur knees, u got anything to say? As I had a glock in the back
of the head of the one who shoot me.
"I should of killed u n now its my lost." He told me
"U have a mother?" I asked
"Screw u." He replied
" go to ur mother n thnk her because of her ill let u live."
Mother asleep with a tear, kissed her forhead.
I couldn't do it becuase i don't want a mother to suffer wht my
mother passed through.

Bathroom engaged

There he blows
on his way to the gents
Book in hand
we all know
this is where
he shall be occupied
for the next half hour

Imagination envisages
him making himself
comfortable
There for a duration
Intent on sinking
his teeth into several chapters
of the latest James Patterson

Belt slowly snakes
to the floor as he sits there
concentrating
on task in progress
with trousers half mast
supported by knees
Book on lap

A certain familiar
thunder echoes
through the house
Stench slowly seeping
through under door
Leaves mum running
for the air fragrancers

Doors and windows
are opened as mother
tries to ‘air’ the house
as she goes about
her business cleaning
the house until it shines
bright as a freshly minted coin

Eventually father emerges
Fresh and relaxed
Missing one gas mask
Mum trepidly takes a breath
and dives into the bathroom
Intent on finishing her work
disguising Dad’s omissions

Bathrooom engaged again
Mother’s work never done
and yet as she vacates
a beautiful flowery scent
followers her through
The empty room vacantly
awaiting – welcoming next guest.

A CASTLE HEARTSTONE MYSTERY

A beautiful girl was born
In secret...
On a spring night
Just before dawn

A girl, so fair
A girl, so pretty
Your heart would melt

As she grew
Everything she touched
She loved too
The inner peace
Made people turn and sigh

In the depths of the Castle
She was kept secret
For the mother knew
The humilation and pain too

For the child,
a father was not known
For the mother,
she carried the secret
In her aching heart
On her face, the pain shown

The father, so they say
Handsome and charming
Took her heart
Took her love
Then went away

A girl, so fair
As beautiful as the day
Often wondered
Of the man
Who took her mothers'
heart away

Her mother in despair,
died
A broken heart
No one could repair

The girl,
such sorrow
Yet everything
She touched
She loved too

A girl, so fair
Accepted with innate grace
the loss
She could bare
Serenity , upon her face

Abeautiful child
Bcame a woman
Eerything she touched
Se loved too

On a spring night
Se must find
Te man who helped bring her ,
in to this world
Eerything she touched
Bcame light

Se sensed he was near...
Smething in the wind showing
Whose ripples she could hear
Her fair hair, blowing

A fair wind came
Warm and sweet
from the South
A Prince to meet

A South Wind Prince confessed
A daughter to love
A girl, so fair
Everything she touched,
was blessed

A tale of love spurned
A mothers' despair
A daughters' love returned
A girl, so fair
Averything she touched
She loved too
With a heart,
Carried in you

Caesura Aquatica

Voyagers, convene thyselves to return, among us...
Caesura, crown nigh clod, a sylph unwept,
elision thy silhouette, meno thy minuet...
Thine late occurence on thee, wake of cerise sand

Thou belief, like a billow, upon your whitish cheek,
'Twas marina bay, her twaddle a garb of mer,
A henchman docks, thy quay, girdles stymie ebbs,
but he cannot dream aloft a dream she confers...

O'er to woo hand in hand, thou overture unto Sirocco,
Plagues thy pirate ships, quakes men with mar,
His and his only demand, an aegis for lagoons amidst...
Once deluged, sun askew above, one abyss of bagatelles

Deters a tocsin, feign mooting mammals, thy kin a boon,
Aquatica, thee damsel for diminuendos, spurns thy sire,
Her gentle mettle, calls thee, His fervor season calentures...
Aloof thy celestial kisser, nay thy nine, vim domiciles solitary

Doomed skulls ravish, an age id by ice, culls thee, for chastity,
Some may not know, we died to have our love live, over and again,
Amity vows posy littoral seaflowers, buoys colonnades of adventure...
thence, cradles await upon matins, sail thy Oceanus genesis, amen.

Harold the Bee

The dew drops sparkled on flowers and leaves as the moon was doing his job.
It was on this late evening, as day lay retreating, that Harold was called up to God.

As Harold flew slowly into the bright light, he felt warmer and fear soon escaped
him.
He saw fields that stretched on, faces once gone, and a new hope within him
awaken.

God said, "Harold, you have been quite prolific, but now your day has arrived.
Like your Mother and Father, and siblings before you, it is time that you sit at my
side."

He stretched out a hand, for Harold to land, and said, "my child, Harold of Bees,
your heart has been true, so my reward to you, is paradise forever with me."

At first, Harold paused, he was scared and confused, and a sadness eclipsed
his small heart.
But the Lord reassured him, "Harold, you are fortunate", for this day, your new life
will start".

And the dew drops sparkled on flowers and leaves, as the sun was doing her job.
It was on this great morning, as daybreak came dawning, that a light would be
born from the dark...

...in a bed, in a room,

with a new mother who,

held a baby,

a boy,

in her arms.

THE DARK POET- A SPOOKY REVELATION

In my sleep they came jeering,
making awful noises...shaking my bed;
I couldn't either move or talk and hearing
them speak a weird language, I covered my head.

Many nights I dreamt of corpses in cold graves,
I was walking into that cemetery I used to visit;
dead people couldn't harm me I thought to myself,
little did I know they were evil spirits who could have.

They kept on coming in dark, frightful dreams,
they tied me down with ropes and laughed,
I screamed, but nobody head my screams;
mom and dad were in the next room, they chatted.

One stormy November night, before going to bed,
I put garlic cloves underneath the mattress,
and waited for them to come closer and snap;
my plan worked, they sniffed the garlic and left!

I Love You

I love you is more than just my words,

It is this deep down driving force of a silent sound.

Love is a magnet igniting sparks to try higher light.

Love connects beaming light twinkling at midnight.

Unmistakably, I’m assured audibly to get this heard.

I love you is more than me,

Love is pending in the depths of me I touch.

This is more than what I can realistically feel.

It is a bargainer’s deal for the sweetest steal.

Evidently, I run wild because I set it all free!

I love you is less than you,

It is an uncut gashing wound,

With lifetimes of a scored scar,

It is a typhoon of who you are,

Apparently, it is difficult to do!

I love you is less than them,

It is always lost,

It is never found,

It binds to a cost,

Hearts are bound.

I love just like you,

And you love just like me!

I swear to my God Almighty from up above my heart is pure and true!

I really do embellish everything my love is suppose to do just for you!

Forever and ever, the whole world shall open their eyes daily to see!

In lieu of this unconditional love, it is here I will always want to be!

Dakota's Poem

I am finally home with you...
To show you Mamas love is true...
I love you my baby boy...
You fill my life with motherly joy...
I am sorry I had to work so many years...
I wanted to take away your fears.

Now you are eleven years old...
Your eyes tell the stories told...
You had me believing that Benjamin Franklin
got eating after he died...
I really didn't know you lied...
So I had to read your book...
As you and Daddy smiled with a look.

You bring such smiles to my face...
I love you my son with all your grace...
When you sing to me I love to hear your song...
None of the lyrics seem to long...
You are my precious baby boy...
Thank you for bringing my heart such joy.

Moonlight Adventure

The beautiful day begins in the house.
At the end of it, all that’s left of it is the moon,
Shimmering in all the night’s light.
A door to another world opens.
The only movement is a page turning in a book.
Suddenly, without notice, an inconceivable object drops.

The thing jumps and twirls and once again drops.
A person from another time, the future, enters the large house.
The man, pacing back and forward, finally sends away the hovering book.
He magically transports it to the glistening moon.
Something like a black hole, a portal inexplicably opens.
The book vanishes in a fading yellow light.

The visitor sees something bright, a room full of light.
And inside, a piece of paper from the hands of a child drops.
The door of the room slightly, quietly opens.
A child and her grandmother are drawing and inscrutable house.
In a circle and a beam of inconceivable beauty appears the moon.
On the page, like the hovering object, once again, is the sight of a book.

The child explains that she has, many times that year, read the book.
But her grandmother slowly shows the girl the true “light”.
Now, the girl understands that she was wrong, and now appears the moon!
It comes closer and closer, and then, like a shooting star, down it drops.
The planet has gone down from the sky to have a conversation in the house.
The moon elegantly flies in, as large as an elephant, and its mouth opens.

And now all of the people come close together and a road opens.
The grandmother and child are guided by a rather large book.
In time, the home disappears; they have left the house.
The book vanishes, and all that leads them is a guiding light.
The key to a room, calmly, as if carried by the wind, drops.
“Come in and let’s have a talk,” says not a person, but a face in white, the moon.

The grandmother is surprised, for she is seeing the real, live moon.
A beautiful and long conversation through all the night opens.
Then as dawn arrives, blood-red, the tone of their voices drops.
Grandmother and child come out of the wonderful book.
Outside it is day, a new beginning, another lively light.
They walk o’er their field and talk till’ they reach the house.

In the morning, the otherworldly man leaves the house.
Also, he disappears in a now magnificent golden light.
That is the end; there are no more pages in this book.

Stories Told

Give us today our daily bread

Are words from a prayer we’ve said

Now I lay me down to sleep

And pray our Lord our souls we keep

Never rest your head on an angry word

Is something that your mother heard

It is not goodbye it's see you soon

Bad luck is to come when you see a full moon

These are tales that have been passed down

Just like your little christening gown

You know you have at least said one

Just think about it I found it fun

Who thought them first and paper found

I know my mother passed them down

So each and every thing we say

Just might be passed down one day

Children's ears will tell the tale

So tell them stories and tell them well

For some day soon your words you will hear

Come from someone you hold so dear

The Healers Heart / 2001

The healer strove to mark the place
to walk with heart in hand.
She placed her foot upon the path
and walked ‘pon ochre sand.

Her head was high, her gaze direct
the path before her steep;
to her goal with chattering teeth
the healer’s eyes did keep.

She went within the darkness deep,
earth's core she did explore;
with heart hearth lit and good intent
she visited earth's core.

The Mother had oft seen her there
and gifted her each day,
with lava, light, and wet warmth
the Mother watched her play.

Still, now the healer knew the truth,
a truth she must absorb.
Father lived in hearths held on high,
He was another force.

And, if the healer was to grow
help others come this way
she must go forth, rise, absorb
the upper light displayed.

With trembling lips and fearful sighs
on she purposefully strode,
this child of clay, of lava formed,
to Father’s bright abode.

And, as she rose above the clouds
into the firmament
she lost her shape, as child of earth
gained oneness in ascent.

No boundaries now held her form
except His loving grace,
this cherished child of mud, of clay;
she took her solemn place.

“Light or Dark, neither good nor bad,”
a choice the Father said.
a place for all, a purpose too
and lessons learned instead.

So, the healer turned to earth
upon that golden day.
She’d learned the joy of dark and light
found wholeness, in this way.

The Mother Of His Son

How can a man love two
To make his life dim and blue?
And see them both as he sees one
To be the mother of his son.

One is a dream, the other is not
And in between there is a knot,
The torment of choosing one
To be the mother of his son.

And he fears them to be
Both illusory as he can’t see,
Then to remain left with none
To be the mother of his son.

Lost in a world of fame
Where changes turn out to be lame,
Where ages around him run and run
Missing the mother of his son.

Back from work, he is tired,
From that world, he got fired,
He missed the right to have some fun,
With the mother of his son.

To travel the world within a room
Feeling everything around him bloom,
Up ahead has risen the sun,
Glory, the mother of his son.

Family Conflict

Soft mallets play the xylophone
In comes the low note g on trombone
Two hard mallets add their sound
There's no dry bones around

Soon the sound of a low bassoon
Bongo drum adds its tune
Wind blowing the harsh melody around
Orchestra pitch now the sound

All this floating to the ground
Soon the only thing to be heard
Loud bassoon making its words
Quiet, quite still; one lone note
Bass drum----boom

Gratitude

Birthdays come but once a year
A day we celebrate, a day to cheer
We all know the day we're born and our age
For birthdays bring us joy or change of stage

The day I celebrated my fourty-ninth year
On the other side of the world fear
Horror for a young girl named Heather
Who was swimming in ocean waters from boat tethered

Swimming around the ocean deep
Working up an appetitate for something to eat
Was a great white shark fourteen feet, whopper
Jaws powerful enough to bite through copper

At home I thought I had turned fifty
I figured this year would be very nifty
My father who was in his nineties
Reminded me that I was only fourty-ninty

In a land way down yonder
A girl named Heather was pulled under
Great white figured she was good meat
Nice and tender a very tasty treat

A girl named Heather was saved
That very day lived to be one to praise
People who worked to keep her alive
She praised God who lives in hearts and on high

Sara lived many years
Saw her grandsons through tears
She was the strength and glue
Who saw her family's problems through

Just in recent years in a land down under
A fourteen foot great white shark did blunder
Caught in a fisherman's net
He'll probably live this mistake regret

No, the fisherman cuts the lines
Frees his catch and shark from bind
Now the shark he named Cindy
Follows him around even when windy

Follows him everywhere he goes
Let's him pet her on her nose
Rub her belly and dorsal fin
She even grunts and tries to grin

Which of these do you think is the most grateful
Heather who is now disable
The shark who was spared his life
Or Sara the mother, grandmother, and wife

(The story about Heather is true. The shark circled and bit her right leg. Then circled and
grabbed her left leg. The people on the boat were hitting the shark and try to pull her into
the boat and the shark took her whole left leg off. She was only attended by a nurse who
was on the boat and radioed a doctor on shore as to what to do. She was 20 hours away
from the nearest doctor. She was lifeflighted to a hospital in California where she had to
have multiple surgeries and now has an artificial leg. The story about the shark caught in
a fisherman's net was really not true. The grandmother here was a true story.)

Mother Star

The mother of all stars so bright

That sits with much grace and
Beauty

Casting her light with pride and
Grace

Twinkle, twinkle sparkling
Ever so proudly

With posh she sit’s up proud

Casting over dark shadows that
Want’s to roam

Her light peep through the
Heaviest of clouds

I can see her rays of light
Perching through the old
Black clouds

Trying to rule her domain
Casting down shadows of
Blackness left to roam

But

When all is said and all is
Done

Without a doubt she will
Conquer

And conquer she will

To cast out dark shadows
Of darken land

To keep the beauty and beauty
Will rule

Old mother star the mother of all
And the ruler of all that twinkle
Within the night

She rule with love and sit’s
With posh

She never fear

Never afraid to let her beauty
Reign near nor far

Her dominance rule far and
Wide

From end to end of the
Darken sky

The mother of all the stars
That go twinkle into the night

She proudly displays her wisdom

And pride so full of
Grace

She sit’s up high with posh and
Beauty

Ruling her galaxy leaving a
Trail

Calling it the milky way right
To her heart

Proudly boldly with pose she
Rule her galaxy..

A vision of death keeps flashing in my head
As I sit quietly I see it coming

Deep down within it pulls my heart asunder
At this point all I can do is truly pray
Trust His leading that it will all go away

A Toast To Mom

oh the weather outside is frightful
and having snowball fights were so delightful

getting hit in the butt and head
then laughing cause you start seeing red

hooking on car bumpers for a little ride
wearing tennis shoes we did slip and slide

mama yelling to get off or you'll be dead
we never listened to what she had said

socks for gloves to keep little hands warm
even amidst a blizzards storm

soaked from head to foot
looking like santa's outfit full of soot

but what I remember about fun the most
was waiting for mama's hot coco and apple butter toast

on that speical Christmas morning day
before the Lord had came and taken her away

my grandpa and grandma surely does
for I'll do anything for them just because

I know my little girl loves her momma
even better than president Obama

my dogs and cats loves me
even if they continue to make me sneeze

even my close friends new and old still spark the love
for we will alway's go on and well above

paperboy surely does
cause I tip him for keeping my paper out of bushes and shrubs

milkman used to
when I didn't make him shu

for I'm their baby who they love the best

Running Free

Clothes packed
Bag in the closet
Ready to go
Ready to run
I look at it daily
Not today, I think
Just get through the day
One day at a time

How did I get here
How did it get this far
I want to go
Be on my own
just be me

The voices in my head
At a dull roar
I'm itching to see more
To drive away
To do everything
I want to do

What kind of person
Can I be
To give up what I am
Just to be me

To leave small and content
Rush head first
Into the large and longing
Running away from all this

I could give it all up
Leave everything
Just be me.

Our Union

Our Union

My eyelashes bat
After meeting your gaze
From across a
Crowded subway haze.

My pupils dilate when they
Look back at you over dinner
Where we drank wine and ate.

My feet dance with glee as we
Fall hopelessly in love
In the midst of summer heat.

My heart splits apart
To become your wife
And your forever sweetheart.

My legs spread
Open to bare new life
And see your cheeks rosen.

My arms push
You away at night,
I'm too tired for a sex life.

My fists rage and tears pour,
When I discover your arms
Embracing another lover
After coffee one early morn.

My ears listen to
Your words of regret and
Pleads for a second chance
For things to be like
When we first met.

My fingers dial
Seeking third party counsel
To repair our shattered union.

My brain waves
Shift to understand your
Thoughts and your feelings,
While I bitterly convey my own.

My hand re-opens
To forgive your sins
And make amends.

My lips part to
Receive your kiss in the
Night in a sea of
Skin in our warm bed.

My heart flutters,
We’ve truly become one,
Years after we bore our son.

The Power of Love

The power of love holds the battleground.
Nuclear blasts from sea to sea.
Wait and you will see!
Begging, kicking, and screaming:
Pleading, “Give it to me”!
Standing on God’s ground, defended by the armor and shield melting.

The power of love holds the mystery.
Things are never as they seem.
Do the means meet the extremes?
Where, how, when was I?
Wondering if it was only a dream?
Standing on God’s ground, defeated by the lock that obtains that key.

The power of love carries the only prayer.
Time to come and be done.
Soon you will be the one.
Dead, black, despair:
Hoping, will someone hear?
Standing on God’s ground, lost in the dream in which you begun.

Mother Nature's Waltz

Upon eve, in the morning of spring, I witnessed the waltz of Mother Nature through the
shaded evergreens.

An apparition, personification of my daydreams, she did a ritual dance on bare-feet, while, I
stooped down (hidden) on bended knee.

All the souls of nature, from the grass to the springs, sprouted to human forms around her.
For she was their Goddess.

An earth quake rippled through the ground up to the air, sound as an awaken soul,
destroying the old with new, an instant out of phase with time; Fantasy clashing with reality.

The scene before me was as dark as it was beautiful, violence intermixed with serenity,
exhilarating my soul with desire. This is how the moment was painted.

The dance floor was a battlefield of motion and form, chaos fueling their souls, the hour:
midnight. Sky was full of an alien audience of stars acting in accordance with their part. Air
held amplified scents from all of nature around them.

Magical beings like animals fighting for supremacy to exist, ripping at each-others souls, at
their organic flesh, shredding each-other into mulch. Music: the cries of the plants.

How deep the torment and content ran within them, ghosts of former selves floating to
heaven like angels. Others, regenerating into the soil their essence, sprouting up in
abundance. Mother nature their mediator. For this was the Waltz of the Seasons.

Then, as quickly as it began, all the magic faded to obscurity as Mother Nature walked on.
Leaving behind the coliseum of change. Leaving behind this reporter, observing through
realities peephole.

Sleep child sleep bright
as Dream comes an' sits beside
to rock you in her gossamer wings
an' Ariel from the cowslip's bell, now lightly sings
Sleep child sleep bright
The moon flashes on you her silver light
an' sprinkles a beauty unmistaken
of sweet innocence an' silken charms from heaven
Sleep child sleep bright
Hope comes in her flight
Her feathered fingers tenderly at your hair
Lo! golden she turns them, an' stars strewn in the air!
Sleep child sleep bright
Titania's seen dancing in the faint sight
Roses bright hued, in her sun gold arms
Here she comes, to breathe into you her faerie charms!
Sleep child sleep bright
Sleeping beauty in joyous delight
treads softly now her feet light
to kiss you baby a sweet goodnight
Sleep child sleep bright!

Behold, the baby is coming soon
Hop to your feet and busy those hands
Behold, the baby is coming soon

Decorate, adorn accordingly
With blues or pinks and dolls or trucks
Things of value things that cost big bucks
Behold, the baby is coming soon

Behold, the baby is coming soon

Away In The Manger

out in the pasture sits a church
homemade by brothers hands and filled with dirt

given to Mother so it stops her hurt
decorated each Christmas for what's its worth

as Mother lays down the cotton skirt
out comes the angels the manger and baby Jesus without a shirt

next comes her towering soldiers buried into the dirt
holding their swords that really can hurt

strewn lights gazes upon the pasture's dirt
frozen in time like a star that shivers and quirks

Mama's eyes glistens like fireworks bursts
for all her effort and time even when she hurts

as mother kneels in front of her church
she praises baby Jesus for all he's worth

comes in from the cold and winters bursts
gathers the children as they all look at her work

and tells us the story of a Christmas birth
as we sip on hot chocolate and felt the hurt

of how Jesus died for our sins on this earth
as we wiped our tears with our night shirts

I was glad to run out and relight the candles burst
and give baby Jesus one more kiss and fix his grass skirt

The Hurricane

The hurricane, so viscous, so violent!
Yes, it must rain.
This force is behind,
This force beyond!
Yet, finally it came.
The winds, clever and dangerously rough,
Please measure this poll.
Dark clouds consume the heavenly skies, capturing ones soul.
With a love so hard, yet, a love much too cold!
Our world now spins, hopeless and out of control!
You are you and I am me,
Together, our climates capture and debate this Sea.
These winds are too strong, our sky so dark and dim.
Stricken with fear, too afraid to release what is deep within.
The storm is here, so grab onto your soul!
Yet, beware! This one is fearless and this one we share.
Scream its name and it shall cry its love,
For it be you, far beyond the heavens above!
Hold your strength with a grip so tight,
That storm will surely break, so where’s your fight?
This hurricane can surely hold its own.
Our little world can and will be shown.
Our damage is as our damage does,
Surely this tiny world isn’t our just and only cause!
You hold that thought and forever we shall be,
True love bound and forbidden to set itself free,
Held within you and deep within me,
This love was meant forever,
One day this you shall see!
This hurricane loves, yet,
It wills to hate,
The forbidden fruit conquered by its very own fate.
Give your seeds, but stand your ground.
Forever in this world!
For once we shall not be lost, but found.

Today's Special So Have A Ball {Kyrielle Sonnet}

Happy Mother's Day to all moms
Spilled milk and yet you stayed so calm
Painting coloring on your walls
Today's special so have a ball

Heart shape cookies I made for you
Ruffled laced stapled and then glued
Words inscript made you feel not small
Today's special so have a ball

Lessons taught Oh so very well
Back in mind words begin to swell
So sorry mom I missed your call
Today's special so have a ball

Happy Mother's Day to all moms
Today's special so have a ball

In Loving Memory
          Of
Mom   {1934 -2005}

Happy Mother's Day
To All Moms And Stepmoms

Thanks Again Joe

NUMBERED SCENT (Ohduhkellee)

A mothers gift ,

Generally at Christmas .

Easiest option which I hope she will like .

( Eau De Kelly) Fragrance for older ladies , who do remember ...

I have just "invented "this new form of poetry .

As you can see it is the 4~7~11 .

First line has 4 syllables , next 7 and the last has 11 .

And , if you think it stinks......... yes it probably does......

An Unusual Talent

When I was young,
I would swear,
That I could taste germs...
Now, how would I dare?

My mother laughed,
Said I was crazy,
But I swore,
Everyone else's taste-buds,
Were just plain lazy...

And I went on to prove,
That I can pick,
Germs out on foods,
Cause sometimes,
I did get sick!!

Midnight run

The time is murky just before dark
Sun holds her breath in endless battle
Hint of fog and mist rising in park
My feet plod heavy like child rattle

Legs protrude shaped deer and child
A-praying. Ssh darling says mother,
Sweet dreams spring constitution mild
Come back from window reject other

In bed tucked up I run again
Shattering multi-coloured tales
The pigs, wolves, dragons brutally slain
Cast aside like foot rot bloodied tails

I imagine myself chasing trains
Fool! Blundering rhino attempting dance
Gazelle only canon drawn pains
Aged fat knight dragging lance

Two black panthers swooped by
Light as dark angels in trainers
I felt at once white clown why
Can coal coated elephants learn to fly?

Leave me to plod therefore unmaimed
And let others more wily receive gains.

Stuffed Dolls and All That I Have

Afraid
and alone.
Sunrise
Sunset,
Playing with stuffed dolls
Building paradise with all that I have,
Desperately.
Books, boxes, papers and pencils,
Sticks, bottles, clothes and glass
Random? No
But beautiful.
My paradise,
I have so little time with you.
I must go, I must study,
Must recite the dictionary to her,
Must not forget a word and if I do,
I must not scream, must not cry
Must not cry....NO! I must not cry
Then sent to prepare for tomorrows
She is done with me today
And I have you again, my paradise
Stuffed dolls and all that I have.
A substitute for my tears.

The Dream Of A Baby

Me and my mom sit all alone
as she hums a very slow tone
i close my eyes as i dream of life
and what i will be a girl or a wife
as i drame of what i will be
i thought of when she sets me free
i think of what will happen today
i will always be a step away
i dream what could really last
this beautiful world goes by so fast
i open my eyes to find it right
the answer was as plain as sight
it was my mom and what she will be
because at the time i was only three

Starting from scratch has never felt so Good
I’ve been from the Burbs and now my life’s the Hood
Blessed needless to say- this journey has been one for the Record
I’ve been pushed/ pulled/ torn but not Broken
Im taking lifes trials and tribulations as a Golden Token
I’ll allow the things I go through in life to make me Better
If that means I have to go through the storm to get to pleasant Weather
I’ve learned to let go which is the hardest thing I’ve had to Do
But I owe my life to God, not the family or even to You
I am a woman with newly discovered Worth
This journey I’ve taken has been filled with so much Hope
The light of Life is now burning so Bright
Took a lifetime of trials for me to get it Right
Now I have God on my side and my Strength is Greater

Mother Of All Pearls

Mother of all pearls
Only to be found in the land of sky blue waters
Tucked neatly beneath her own shell
Holding and cradling her youngest gem
Earrings necklace rings to mention a few
Rest assure it will brighten her day
So grab your snorkles flippers and scuba tanks

Dive beneath corral reefbeds
Awaiting upon for your arrival
Yes a tightly wrapped mother pearl gem

This crooked family tree

As I stand here gazing upon
A row of trees nearing their demise
My mind is overcome by a barrage
Of paralyzing truths
That have contaminated my spirit
Like a river transposing itself
Into an infested swamp
Nonetheless, the sight before me
Whispers to my imagination

This family tree is crooked:
What compels ones sister
To seduce another sisters husband?
Just yesterday they were sharing
Clothes and make-up
Today, they share the same lover

The tree has become withered:
Susie flees from home again
While Uncle Jake is far too under
The chains of influence to notice
I thought children came first
Then alcohol was second

That tree has shaded to grey:
Tony searches for drug money
While Aunt Sara is on the prowel
For a new husband at
The corner tavern again
However, I did not realize
New uncles were so easy to find

The branches are twisted:
Mommy never kissed Santa Claus
On Christmas eve night,
Instead, Aunt Sharon was kissing
Her husbands brother under the mistletoe
After everyone went to sleep
Or so they thought,
An old song takes on a new meaning

All the leaves have fallen:
Great grandmother loved reciting
Stories of the family history
It is now that I understand why,
She left some tales untold

So I wonder,
Who planted these trees?

Master Blasters

Incredible as all of this may be,
And just as brilliant as our fate is,
You are my unique lift to my wiz!
So it looks like it is you or it’s me.

We’re in the winds and we both run free.
All of this is hers and it’s every bit of his.
Those two are master blasters put to quiz.
Together they locked eyes eternally to see.

They are dancing on the Moon,
Or they are singing to the Sun.
Their love has come too soon.
Now familiar renewal has begun.

They are in full bloom with a force that is most incredible to blossom,
What a glimmer in their glare they sand blasted out of awe to awesome!

Palms by the Sea

Oh this Sea from left to right,
How my mind gathers your visions to my sight.
You clouds stray from over here to over there,
And my lungs fill deep as they gather you into my air.
I am the neutral zone with all of my love that I share
The “Palms by the Sea” give my visions their true light!
In each I can see myself inside of a seemingly height.
The Palms by the Sea are my only solemn oath I fight!
Up inside of the tallest tree I shall surely come,
Your Earth, your Moon and your Sun I shall make them all come undone!
I am you as you breathe my life and it is your love that I shall proclaim in the moment I seize!
Up inside of you I am proclaiming my every single genuine need.
The “Palms by the Sea” guard the shores for my more, my all, or even none!

Papa says yes
Mama says no

Off to a dance
I want to go

Flowers in my hair
Mama says Girl don't you dare

Horn's just a blaring
Papa not even caring

Begging dear mama
Please Please can I go hah hah

If your papa says yes
Then I must confess

Your mama says no
But This time I'll let you go

Be home by eleven
My little princess from Heaven

For if you come in late
Your papa is going to kill that date

Her grown up face,
Bears a thoughtful grace.
Her warm bosom,
Awaits to welcome,
A wanted guest,
On her laps to rest,
Restless, though happy she seems,
As her heart broods fairy dreams.
Her speech sweater from the lapse of years-
With a wife's love, and a mother's fears!

Mom Doesn't Listen To Me

as I explore the depths of
my inner being there's a few
things that I have not
been hearing or seeing

like my little girl's voice
wispering thru the night
come hold me close mama
for I feel such fright

or why can't you get out of bed
your eyes look swollen and
looks awful garsh darn red

and like why cant you come
to my school I 'm just trying
to make you proud of what I
can accomplish too

also why do I have to go live
with my dad when you had me
weren't you feeling nothing but glad

for eleven years I had to live
with these inner fears of not being able
to be a fulltime mother to my little girl
who I love so dear and cannot everyday hear

so to this day I will continue
to fight and pray that the
heavens beams of rays
will let me enjoy my
beautiful angel again one day
and thats what I need to say

I Have been stricken with an ungodly illness for 25 yrs
that prevents me from being a fulltime mother
to my Jenny Rose the sickness has to do with
severe migrains to stomach there is no cure
only injections to try to abort spells then I lay
in a dorment state for up to 9 hours
it ruined my life literly

Cornfields Have Ears

Mother warned
Never make love in a cornfield
For the corn-- has ears
And they just may tell...

Upon hearing this
I laughed and replied mom
They might have ears
But they do not have lips
With which to speak...

Not so fast, Careful daughter said she with a smile
They have husks that are tough
And when shucked the silk and shucks will make you tell

Yeah, I've ran through the fields
Playing hide and seek
The itch form those husks --
Sure did make me shriek...

Ahh… Shucks... I guess you're right Mama
You don't have to worry about me
With great bliss--I promise you this...
I'll never make love in a cornfield.

Comments: The lesson was corny but true to form as I will never make love nor hide in a
field of corn -- ears and all 0;-)

Hatch Bird! Hatch!

Once there was a nest
high in a tree
where no one could even reach it
of course
In that tree was a little bird
who knew everything
that his mom said to do
because his mom said it in a way
that he could hear in his egg
For that, he giggled
when he hatched.
He was not able to fly
but he was able to walk
He walked to his mom
and they lived happily ever after
and never went anywhere without each other.

The End

Fresh, new
And shapely too!

Watch me bloom
Like a wild red rose,
Watch my character
And confidence

Guilty, Guilty, Guilty

As the doors to my prison door slammed shut.
It was then I realized just how deeply my life had sunk into this rut.
And why, what was the reason that put me here?
Second degree manslaughter and they said it quite clear.
It seems I plowed into a van full of kids coming from a high school game.
One mother cryingly said, don’t you have any pity do you feel any shame?
For she lost two sons that night, that night of the game.
I was there executioner, I was to blame.
I was just out for a good time making all of the bars.
I didn’t know I was that drunk but I still pack those scars
The jury found me guilty that very first day.
And the old judge handed me my sentence he said son you must pay.
Well locked in those handcuffs they carried me back to my cell.
I heard one mother holler, I hope you rot, you rot in hell.
Thirty years was the sentence but not near enough.
For it was three young men’s lives that I did snuff.
The death penalty would have been more fitting for this deed that I’ve done.
Letting a drunk person drive is like giving a crazy person a gun.
And I think the people that sell the stuff need to be accountable as well.
Let them get a little taste of sitting in a cell.
Folks this is just a made up story but it could have been true.
For there were many nights I was out there driving drunk uncaring of what I
could do.
I’m the lucky one, for God took my desire to drink and I don’t anymore.
Alcohol is an addicting drug with a swinging door.
It weakens all your defenses and it makes you a bum.
And like the man in this story his life will never be worth nothing he turned it to
scum.
So friend if you’re an alcoholic, admit it to yourself then seek help, and right away.
But please do it before something like this happens, that’s all I have to say.

This is a Dedication to my Father

A father that who was never there that I cried lonely tears of missing a man that
didn’t even want me that a man threw me on streets in the rain or a shadow and
left me that he didn’t even know me or understand me born into a world full of
confusion pain and lonely tears wonder why a man that I wanted to be like so
much didn’t even want me that it seemed like everybody had a father around me
except me that my mother was trying so hard to be that father figure that the
words she was speaking wouldn’t even come to me that I was in streets hustle
looking for a father figure to but life in me that the person that I really love went to
the pearly gates and left me

Because on my block most of the boys didn’t have a father and they father didn’t
have a father so they on the block hustling rocks selling them to there own
mother that the street life was the only life for me that my mother cried lonely
nights wonder if I am going to walk threw the door that night or scared she might
see me on channel ten news that night I wonder night after night what did I do
blaming myself for things that my mother went threw crying myself to sleep
asking god to just pray for me never understood why a man said he loved but
never was there that man would call me and say I am going to pick you up and
never show up

That my friends never had a father so they slapped there females around and
beat them for no reason but they had reason why because they never had that
father to show them how to love there female and not beat on them that growing
up seeing your mother beening slapped around knowing you cant do nothing
about it thats a struggle

Street Walking Killer Part 5

By day she was dressed
With the finest of wear
A conservative sort
With pushed up red hair
So hard to believe
The dual role she had played
When to Law School she went
And appeared that she stayed
It seems that Sara Jenkins
Was a lawyer in the courts
Now a professor of law
With the main subject, Torts
Her father was a judge
Who, through scandal, had quit
He cheated on his wife
Who then died in a fit
That man was the reason
For her mother’s suicide
He had never blinked an eye
When the mother had died
The daughter, now older,
Loved her mother so much
She had vowed against men
And their lecherous touch
She had promised, in honor,
That she’d make them all pay
From the butcher to the banker
And her father, who got away

Never Said Goodbye

Mothers day for me
Is only what should of bee
Cause we could of been best friends
God if for one chance, this could ever be
Could you bring back my mother for me to see
Or just a hug would do, mom I love you
I miss you mom
And I never seen your face
Mom I never said goodbye
I have been abused, lied on, accused
Cried a many sleepless nights
Hoping things would turn out right
You would come and rescue me
Only to see that could never be
Over the years all the tears I've cried
Cause mom I never said goodbye

Collections

I’ll add you to my safe keeps.
And put you with my collections.
I’ll sit back with my own reflections.
After, I’ve taken hundreds of peeps.

I’ll put you under my pillow where I sleep.
And then there will be no exceptions.
It’s where delusion versus deceptions.
You and I will never weep.

Until your heart is free to run,
I’ll be collecting ashes and dust.
I’ll never be done!
And I’ll never rust.

My collections of restorations appeal.
Piece by piece many of you will heal.

Mother Hen Adopts A Baby

She gives a cluck, cluck
Babies run for they could be out of luck
One baby stumbles and falls
Tripping over his big paws

Gathering all them under
Cover, with her feather's asunder
This mother hen tries to pull them in
One baby can't fit doesn't even blend

For he's adopted don't you see
Totally different from those three
Under the feathers free from harm
There he's kept very warm

What's so different do you suppose
About this one that under her wings repose
Why he's got a nose, long floppy ears
Feet that are huge with padded paws for gear

(I saw this picture of a mother hen that had adopted a puppy and had him under her and
since I am adopted I thought of using this for a poem.)

Your palms sweat and your body shaking.

One last push and a life is born.

A Day in a Boys Life

The youngster ran happily down the old dirt road,
With all his worldly possessions, three magical rocks and a lively old toad.

He stopped at the old creek as was his daily routine,
Looking for that evasive four leaf clover in this field so green.

Well to his dismay his search was in vain,
Cause thunderclouds built up and it began to rain.

Hurriedly he ran to an old abandoned barn just up ahead,
At one time you could tell this old barn had been red.

He opened the old squeaky door and inside he did go,
Inside he found discarded treasures, rusty old horseshoes were the best don’t you know?

And broken old tools which he knew he could use,
Too, too much for such a young boy to choose.

His pockets were stuffed as he made his way back home to his house.
His momma met him at the door and said in those bulging pockets son you best not have
brought me a mouse.

Gosh no he said as he showed off his booty,
Now go wash up for supper son as she hugged her little cutie.

Vanity

I need my hair just right
I need my socks to match each other
I need mascara to be on point
I need foundation to hide who I am

But what do I really want myself

Posession

Little sarahJane is nine years old, posessed by demons ,her mind is no longer
her own.Her mom cries for jesus as she foams at the mouth,The devil peers
through the windows eager to hear her shouts. The house was drenched from
the pounding rain, the room was filled with terror, you could feel everyones
pain.SarahJanes head twisted like a merry-go-round.Her eyes were black and
solemn,no trace of SarahJayne to be found. Her body shifted back and forth as
her mother held up the cross.Reverend Tibit started to pray, but it was too
late.SarahJanes soul was lost. This sweet little girl whose body this demon once
shared. Her soul left her body and told her mother not to be scared.SarahJanes
soul left and walked toward the light,as her mothers eyes turned solemn
black, perhaps there was another posession for the night. As Reverend Tibit
consoled the mother and walked her to the door, she responded with an evil
grin ,while the devil watched at the door.

In These Eyes of Mine

In the glow of the day, rise the shadows of a dark night where I come free.
Walking slow yet running with hot flames drenched by my body soiled, I am here.
My walk, my life, I stand with this seed.
Taking me down, all the way because I am the only one who care’s.
In these eyes of mine, let the Sun make glow of my hair!
In the depths of the Oceans may the Mountains peak, I am free.
Stroking slowly, yet rock climbing with the pain of broken rocks, I go there.
My depth and my height I stand with this need.
Rolling me around, all the way because I am the only one who share’s.
In these eyes of mine, let the Mountain make depth of my care.
In the brightness of the Stars lingers a magical gleam, all scattered and free.
Breathing slowly, yet desperate for the air to give my last and final breath, I am there.
My deepest, my highest, I stand with this greed.
Pulling me down to the ground all of the way because I am here!
In these eyes of mine, let the Stars make bright of my fear.
These eyes of mine give to you this planted seed with all of my prayers.

A Breathing Life

Heart,
A Pumping blood organ,
That
Feels pain,
When someone degrading life,
That
Serving only by him.

Heart
Always having prosperity,
Thoughts and dreams,
Becomes living,
When
Blood runs through nerves.

Heart palpitates,
When
Air,
Fills a bladder of lungs.
Breath accelerates heart,
To breathing a life.

Blood, a Traveler,
Delivers happiness and sorrows,
Feels encouragement,
And discourages itself,
When it feels,
Someone had broken him.

she was a lovely bride

amidst musty furniture and splintering rafters
there it hung
draped across the manikin so gracefully
elegant and beautiful
white and lacy
with its gleaming pearls and lingering train
its a gown for a seraph
glowing luminously in the dim light of the loft
so glamorous
almost perfect
stunning like my mother
bold as my father
embodying love and devotion
memories and passion
inhibits a model's splendor
grants me a sense of ecstasy
my mother's wedding dress

The Poem

I was wondering around
My kitchen
When I saw this letter
Sitting on the counter
It was blue and white
I recognized it as
A envelope from
poetry.com
I looked at it knowing
It was my mom’s mail
I stared at it for
A long time
But I couldn’t resist
So I picked it up
I didn’t have to
Open it to see
The poem my mom
Had written
I could see the poem
Through the clear plastic
The poem was called
Little Girl
As I read the poem
I froze because
I suddenly
Realized it was about
Me as a little girl
I wanted to cry
As I kept on reading it
I just wanted
To cry
Because
It was the poem
That made me sees my mom
Does understand
Me

A Night

A night,
When he was sleeping upstairs,
He heard a noise,
Someone was weeping bitterly.

He switched on the light,
And came out,
Moon was flashing everywhere,
Cool wind was also in motion.

He looked at the sky,
Stars were twinkling,
In the heart of a blue sky,
When there were no clouds.

He watched every where,
He had seen nobody,
Old tree was standing in a shadow,
In the middle of a lawn.

He came back in,
And enters into the kitchen,
Where he drinks water,
And stops for a cup of tea.

He heard again sobbing,
He came to the window
And looked out very carefully,
He saw old tree was crying.

He came out and went to the tree,
And asked his problem,
You cut my twigs,
I never complain. He said,

But today, I don’t know
What was in your mind?
You cut my soft leaves,
That’s why I am weeping.

The Witch

A Witch I am, a witch I'll stay.
I'll work alone till my dying day.
But then return I will
for I am a forever soul.
I travel now both far and wide.
I need no car or broom to ride.
For these are man made material modes.
I travel by night on the wind alone.
The moon is my mother,
she rules the earth,
she is the one who gave us birth.
My work will continue for eons of time,
With the thousands of others
around the earth,we continue our work.
which will continue till peace is won.
We work for good, for positive ways,
Trying to dispens negative rays.
Till man sees the destruction he
is creating most of his days.
My mother the moon, looks down and weeps,
at the peaceful way the evil ones sleep.
Her tears fall down and in density seep.
As Chaos is growing on every side.
There will be nowhere for man to hide.
But we will continue our work to do,
To try to help our mother through.
And we all vow to continue our rede.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Author Explanation: The witches Rede is:-AND HARM YE NONE, DO WHAT YE
WILL. The destruction of the earth should be in everyones thoughts. Witches try
to spread positive loving thoughts through the world to try to bring harmony. If all
the leaders of all the countries would keep positive loving thoughts for their
people there would be no wars.

THE SMILE OF A MONA LISA

The real-life picture of mom,
hanging in the neat and cosy living-room
gleams like the smile of Mona Lisa;
her hazel,cheerful eyes radiate
when there isn't enough light to compensate,
her brown hair matches the red gardenia
in the rosy,intrinsic background,
hiding a mistery yet to be found..

If Leonardo Da Vinci created that painting
to satisfy his self-gratification,
I invent words,in a different time,
to describe her gracefullness
with a deserved adulation;
a mother who never achieved great awards
or prouded herself of independence;
love,patience,endurance and indisputable faith
were the virtues that made her so unique,
and none of those implied criticism...

Very often when I'm overtaken by sadness,
she towers over me like an impregnable fortress:
with the confident smile of a Mona Lisa,
so spontaneous without a sign of malice...
to break the silence of an unspoken voice;
to inspire and motivate me again with thoughts
that lay dormant until they awake again
on the battered waves of my imagination...

Ava and Me in our Rainy Retreat

Amaretto morning
just like the earth to be grey today
Time for the old dog-eared book
all the while begging the rain to stay
I couldn't buy a moment like this
even in Lion's Head Antique store
I couldn't wish for a better excuse
to sink into myself, or to love you more
You grab the pillows and blanket
I'll fill the room with Red Star music
We will tell stories 'till we're laughing out loud
Ions of rain and the pressure diffuses
We are no longer dealing with death
We are no longer frazzled and wild
Just give us the rain on a Tuesday morning
and we become silly, as mother and child...

Lulabell

She's a wonder in her snowflake pj's
sitting cross-legged in the chair
the scent of apple shampoo from her shower in her hair

She greets me in the morning
when the sunshine wakes her eyes
and we snuggle under covers telling all our dreams that night

She says she dreams about me
and her daddy and a bear
she spins a million stories floating up into the air

She writes me perfect poetry
at almost three years old
of craters in the moon which have fallen in the snow

I marvel everyday at this gift from God above
This child to see the world through
to laugh with and to love.

There's Something About Ma Ma's Christmas Tree

There's something about Ma Ma's Christmas tree
ornaments tinsel blinking lights and popcorn strewn
about by her grandchildren's little hands to plainly see
the angel nestled on top blessing for all who comes passes she
fresh scent of pine lingering about ticking our noses like a soft country breeze
presents big and small stacked upon each other for her big family
bows falling from the gifts tightly wrapped only by she
needles upon the skirt sticking to our hands and our little knees
Christmas bulbs reflecting off our silly little faces ever so jolly
Mama taking snap shots of us all standing in front of her six foot tree
but nothing was more beautiful that could be given to she
Except for my heart who I miss giving to Ma Ma who always stood by me

RIP MAMA  {1934 - 2005}

The Little Dreamer

I walk along a sandy shore
Thinking what I had before
Realizing now that I am free
I can be what I wish to be
Like a bird I wish to fly
Gliding towards the mountains high
Like a horse i'd like to roam
And where I slept make that my home
I do now what my heart desires
Sitting on beaches with big bon fires
Candlelight dinners of cold sweet wine
Myself and I become entwined
Travel across the deep blue sea
Where my life is no mystery
To the canyons far below
That is where I wish to go
To the mountains far and wide
Far away to run and hide
Now this voice is calling me
From the deep somewhere, who can it be
Wake up darling, wake up dear
Don't be frightened Mommy's here
Awakened from this dream world mine
Someday this place I vow i'll find

Eyeless in Wonderland 2

  Blue eyes opened,Mother said,
get your big feet off my bed!
Go sit in that rocking chair
Get a brush and comb my hair.
Mother may I stay with you?
Don't ask like you always do!
You know Santa Claus can hear
he won't come for you this year
    Santa sat beside the bed
smiled at her and shook his head
The King of Sweden lives here too,
there's just some other place for you.
  The nurse dressed up like
Peter Pan,
came along and took her hand
Come on Alice,the party's done
Halloween was so much fun
but the Hatter's Mad at me enough
without you getting into stuff
take this pill that makes you small
I'll let you sit out in the hall
then Mother Goose can have the time
to make you up another rhyme.

Open at the Seams

My mother made a dress for me it was beautiful and bright.
She told me to wear it well and rather ladylike.
Little did mamma know the weak seam could pull though,
sometimes threadbare at the sleeves and a little more old than new.
With needle in hand I would try to hide the ragged spaces.
where my slip would show in what were the most awkward places.

Many hours did I spend on the tiniest details to repair,
So there would not be whispers and penetrating stares.

Constantly examining this dress so that my hem would not show,
nor did I want others to see a tattered slip that lay below.
Merrily did I sow away as hem-by hem did rip.
But holes showed too quickly I could no longer hide my slip/

Only a few times have these seams outrun my threaded needle.
where everything was exposed to a slip that was rather feeble.

Use safety pins and liquid stitch to hold the seams together tight,
for this dress my mother made me was once beautiful and bright.

Now, the patchwork that used on this threadbare dress
has come apart once again because it could not handle stress.

So long as I am occupied with needle pulling thread
the darkness of my emotions stays deep inside my head.

the shadows lurk in corners around the bodice and the nape;
only seeping outward when I am busied with other gapes.

So like a cloak around me the darkness becomes a shroud,
weakness loosens the seams of this dress I once wore tall and proud.

Someone once said this mind was the type of with men dreamed;
only if they knew how easily it came apart at unraveling seams.

The Music Box

The only thing that seems to bring me joy what some might consider a toy
i sit for hours and just stare hoping this beautiful music will transport my
imagenation in to thin air. This music box tells a story of days long been told
history both new and old generations this music box has been past almost like
eyes that have seen the world change. My treasure which will some day bring my
children and their children pleasure, from what i've been told there use to be a
key hidden deep inside this music box which is what makes it so unique. My
great grand mother explain to me that the precious key was used to hide
members of my family and family friends in a secret room when for sure they
would face doom if found by the Gestpo that cold day in June. And when the
coast was clear to calm the fears of the children hiding in the room my great
grand mother would play that music box that i hold dear today. The music box of
mistery tears of centeries hold a special place in my heart what great object the
music box which secrets are forever unlocked.

That Special Day

As I dress my self for the special day.
I whisper a prayer to help me along the way.

Looking in the mirror at my mothers beautiful dress.
She lovingly sewed together, so I could look my best.

My beloved is a mystery just for that special hour.
I smile to myself as I gather my bouquet of flowers.

The music plays, as I walk down the aisle with my father.
He winks at me, after giving me away to another.

Family gathers tissues and a hush covers the place.
As we exchange vows, he gathers me up into a loving embrace.

I barely heard the words "you may kiss your bride".
My husband raised my veil, kissed me tenderly as I cried.

We are now as one, united in holy matrimony, thus begins our path.
Together we will take on each day, enjoying each other as if was our last.

Her happiness

Over a week, she is managing,
Her happiness, her son is coming,
First time from a university,
She was busy to express her Love.

She cleaned his room and furnished,
His likely items, behaved nicely,
As he purchased to enjoy time,
Flowers, books, songs and new portraits.

She was under pressure over years,
I didn’t understand her feelings,
She was so deep in willing to care,
I lost my life, never saw her so closely.

Before a night, she haven’t a sound sleep,
Watching the clock, having a drink,
Went back to bed and started rolling,
I thought not to disturb her, made a cup of tea.

Spent few hours and shared all memories,
Refined stock of sadness and happiness again,
And enjoyed healthy relationship once more,
Heard early music of birds before rising a Sun.

She drove her vehicle, and stood up,
Train was coming an hour late,
But her eyes were running on the lines.
She welcomed her son with tears

Nocturne in C minor

Saturated with decision
words in grain and grass
broken into tiny pieces
shards of biting glass
Born of music, lost reflection
calling from the pool
Fill me up with stars creative
sugar dipped and new
Hollow out the heart in motion
stain it iridescent
Carve the moon a silver locket
shavings from the crescent
She will hang like butter beige
stone and marble breath
on the living and the dying
'luminate their death
Breathing words of whispered sage
Tiny slivered glass
You're my music in the moonlight
lost in evening's past.

You, Anne Sexton

You, Anne Sexton-
Why are you here? Don't you know
that my passion's run dry?

I take in your craft
like another addiction;
I give you- poetess- a run
through my veins. Yet it's
all too often my image I see,
my thoughts by your hand, heart
nailed to your words.

Why, Anne Sexton-
on page 153- are you
wearing my mother's image and name?

You're astonishingly,
achingly all too familiar;
the titular mother's got nothing on you.
And when I'm undone
in my mind's dusty corner,

Is that you- Anne Sexton-
teetering posthumously on my windowsill?

Sometimes Mothers Don't Know Best

She took his hand, and said," I Do",
wondering all the while, will he be true?
Her mother warned her, before the big day,
honey, I don't believe he has had time to play.
Oh mom, I know this is real, please don't ruin
my wedding day.
Her daddy walked his daughter down the isle with pride,
while mother was uneasy, and only cried.
It will be alright, mom, just you wait and see,
I know you will love him, as you love me.
They had a great life, he had a great job,
a big fine house, and a little boy named Rob.
Mother finally realized, he was the one,
and her worries were over, all but one.
Mom found out, he had enlisted today,
and planned on leaving on Christmas Day.
Crying and praying, she got down on her knees,
God please protect him, he means the world to me.
Rob was growing, and his questions were quite a few,
"I miss my daddy, and mommy does too."
Promotion, after promotion, he was good at his job,
as the war raged on, he grew closer to God.
Then one day, came some exciting news,
he knew his calling, he knew what he had to do.
As he was studying to be a minister, his mother-in-law
finally faced the truth.
One God, one nation, one wife, one job, the best life she
could ever dream of, and a mother-in-law, full of love.

I Have Been

Have you ever heard the old saying, 'You can ride a willing horse to death," well
my grandmother told me this many times, during my growing years.
Now that I am older, and I pray much wiser, I know exactly what she meant.
Out there in this big old mean world are people, and some of these people don't
have much sense when it comes to piling things on you, "farming you out," so to
speak. I have been a taxi, I have been a nurse, I have been a teacher, I have
been a sitter, I have been a cook, I have been a receptionist, I have been a bank, I
have been a mechanic, I have been a painter, I have been a mother, I have been
a carpenter, I have been a decorator, I have been a mover, I have been so many
things, for so many people, I have forgotten who I am.

Imagine that ,illoshkas hat

Six tigers swam across the bay
they sniffed the air and came my way
I had no fear but asked the time
they answered me in pantomime
I tipped my hat and said Goodbye
but tiger five began to cry
so I went with them for a chat
without a word....imagine that
    we ate an elderberry stew
across a bridge inTimbuktu
with seven sisters singing grace
we bought a condo on the place
I caught some stars at dinnertime
we ate them with blueberry wine
then mother called me from the moon
she smiled and told me "Be home soon".
  '"illoshka wants his hat returned,
you should have asked, and now youv'e learned'
  I should have asked,imagine that
before I wore illoshkas hat
I took it off and looked around
my mind returned to solid ground
The tigers turned to swaying palms
the seven sisters sang their psalms
and waved Goodbye across the bay
the condo turned to bits of clay
and I went home where mother sat
waiting for illoshkas hat.

A Message

The white and black clouds,
Were scattering in herds.
The rainbow was flashing,
New colours at the top of them.

Heavy rain was going on,
Also blue sky was watching at the top,
Air was enjoying quietly on a side,
And waiting for a whistle to blow.

Sun was shining sharply,
Not only human body was feeling hot,
But earth was reflecting stream,
As potatoes were boiling in a pot.

After rain, when air blew in a slow motion,
The burning bodies and nature also,
Received a message of cold,
Everyone was delighted to get peace.

Ava Lu

I bought her some butterfly wings
all sparkly pink and ready to fly
but she hunkered down with her favorite book
with a hurricane twinkle in her pale blue eyes

I combed her golden hair to a shine
and pulled it all back in a bow
A few moments later she emerged from her room,
a head full of hair clips, to put on a show

I asked her to tell me a story
about all the animals she wants to meet
She started to sing and to dance and to swing
and she pulled me right out of my comfortable seat.

I smoothed back her hair before bed
and prayed that her good dreams would start
After "amen" she sleepy-eyed said:
"Mommy, I love you with all of my heart."

Evening Waves

Mountain was leaving breath,
Grass and leaves were waving him.
Animals were grazing in the field,
Birds were playing in joy,
Cheerful Sun was hiding itself,
Behind the mountain’s height.

The river was burning,
Golden flames were smoking,
Evening waves were jumping blue,
A silver bird was floating,
Air was roaring,
Ear drum was protecting a noise.

Ladies were going back home,
Piles of hay stacks was on the top,
The grass branches were hanging down,
As curly hairs were grazing beauty,
A baby girl was chasing her mum,
As fear was growing in dark.

Little God

My son doesn't know
His own strength.
Shadows flicker across the room,
Ducks, rabbits
And wolves.

He has made them
With his hands
And watches them dance
Across the moonlit wall.

He laughs as he creates
Creature after creature,
My little god.

14,562 days

This is how many days
I have loved my parents
No time limit
Or dollars and cents

They love unconditionally
We talk almost every day
Just saying,"I love you"
Helps pave our way

Ever stop to think about
How much time you've spent
Loving someone every day
And where that time went

We know where were
Where we are
What the future holds
As longs as the days go far
