Summers Eve

~Summer’s Eve ~

I am a woman!
I am proud-

I am everything you want.
Plus more
The adoring wife,
A beautiful mother,
A grandmother a granddaughter
A daughter, a sister,
A lover, the aunt.
Your enemy, your friend.
I am the working lady.
A widow left behind.

  I AM!
The Spawn of Adam's rib-

  I AM!
A mentor throughout this world.
A lady with class, sometimes a material girl.
A flower, and the sound of rain.

I am the color of the rainbow.
I am deeper than the sea.
I am the pink ribbon you wear.
I am delicate like snow.

  I AM!
The sun and the moon in your eyes.
A twister during dark skies.

  I AM!
The Daughter of Eve-

And, here is the only feeling I want to endorse.
 Summer's Eve.

*****
In honor and appreciation to all the women of the world.
Happy Mother’s day!

GRANDPA

*GRANDMA WAITS IN THE GARDEN*

Hi grandpa it's me again!
Your dentures sit in an open glass
Do you remember the tears grandma sang before she passed?
The way she looked into your eyes,
Moments before she said her goodbyes
Grandpa, I found a note from grandma, she doesn't want you to cry.

Hi grandpa, it’s me again!
The rocking chair is old and dusty
Do you remember the way grandma sat me on her lap?
Read many stories before I took a nap
How she enjoyed brushing my hair with her hands
Love the way she rocked me to sleep every night until I grew.

Hello grandpa!
I stored your hearing aid away
Do you remember that special musical box in grandma's drawer?
I opened it last night, to watch the ballerina dance
I wish you could hear the tiny chimes grandma lived in
I hope you don’t mind, I’m keeping grandmothers favorite scarf.

Hello Grandpa!
I'm caressing grandma’s picture frame
Do you like the way she looked in that pretty sundress?
Grandpa, I miss the things grandmother did for you
I like the walking stick she handcrafted, the day your needed support
It kept you in balance every time we took long hikes in the woods.

Hello grandpa, it's me again!
Here I sit holding your hand
I have no more tears
Soon you will see grandma
Please tell her hi, and I know you will be there the day I die
Bye, grandpa
Give grandma a kiss, and tell her I miss her

The Seamstress of Time

I have a special story I wish to share
About a seamstress beautiful and fair

She would fade away turning into smoke
Of her amazing beauty, no man would joke

The spiraling smoke would then re-form
I know only an angels face could be so warm

Before her a beautiful quilt was spread
Upon it the story of my life was said

As she once again started to dissipate
She said, “Mike this quilt records your fate”

As the smoke traveled over to a new place
And then formed together creating her face

Looking over her shoulder back at me
She said, “This area will hold what has yet to be”

Most of the quilt looked like twisted evil tattoo
Simply because, my life’s quilt was quilted true

I looked the quilt over and then met her gaze
She was so beautiful in so many different ways

The last part of the quilt way over to the right
Showed the beauty of someone changing their plight

Upon her beautiful hand, which seemed so nimble
I noticed she was wearing my grandmother’s thimble

From a young maiden so beautiful to see
My grandmother appeared right in front of me

I guess up in heaven we return to our youth
My grandmother was beautiful; such is the truth

I thought of the price grandma was asked to pay
The shame of knowing I had turned out that way

I thought of her sitting there stitching my shame
My grandmother didn’t deserve an eternity of pain

She said, “Michael be still with the pain in your heart,
Your story encourages others to make a new start.”

“The deeper the wrong the stronger the right
I always knew my boy would take up the fight”

With a smile much brighter than an ice covered sea
She said, “I love the man my boy has grown up to be”

As she turned to the quilt and started to sew
She said, “Michael, its now time for you to go.”

“Believe in your story believe in your truth
For Salvation is the true fountain of youth”

One night in a dream, which I’ll hold forever divine
I learned; my Grandmother is now,” The Seamstress of Time”

When I was a boy I would help my Grandmother roll
her quilt, find her glasses, as well as, her thimble. I
never thought about how amazing her art truly was.
From a pile of rags she would make the most beautiful
quilt's. I sleep under one of her quilts to this very day.

A mother's treasures

A solitary piece the diamond
precious rare gem most treasured
by those lucky enough to hold
Once in possession it is rarely out of grasp
Like the gemstone the mother
requires very specific conditions
in holding fast her (family/) childrens love
Treasured forever in her heart
she will go out of her way
to preen and protect them
holding them dear to her
deep within her maternal safe – the heart
closely guarded by the mind
Her infatuation of all treasures to her
are totally understandable
especially when you think to the complexity
of structure and process taken in creation
Just as from the ‘unbreakable’ in ancient greek
this alletrope of carbon
with strength of bonding between atoms
is representative of that strong love
between mum and child
The maternal being could be compared
to the superlative physical qualities of the stone
Even the characteristic luster
of this gem so prevaient from its ability
to disperse light and colour
compared to the many strengths, roles and qualities
of the mother
seen by the many she deals with daily
A most high pressured job
versus the high pressured temperature
within the Earths mantle
that forms the delightful rock it gives birth to
Infants delight and ignite the forbearer
just as the jewel would dazzle the room
a mother’s love encaptures the magical luster
of those she’s birthed and nothing
stands inbetween this richest of cargo’s

Since First I Saw You

Since first I saw you, it was your eyes,
mesmerizing, your gaze transporting
me to a realm, not of fantasy, real,
where young men go when cupid’s
arrow takes root.

Since first I saw you, it was your lips,
captivating, holding me frozen
in anticipation of our lips brushing
for the first time.

Since first I saw you, it was your voice,
a crescendo, light, invigorating,
each word you speak intensifies
my hearing, enveloping each
note, time ceases as I hang motionless
savoring, memorizing.

Since first I saw you, it was your hair,
long, flowing, gently rising above
your shoulders as a slight breeze
passes through sending waves
of your essence my way.
The sun magnifying each strand,
highlighting the minute
variances of invigorating color,
creating a halo effect, a portrait of
your beauty forever imprinted.

Since first I saw you, It was you,
my love forever more for you,
only you.

Of Fawn And Fairy

Inside this forest
so bright and mild
a fairy lived
her name, Wonder Child

For all the forest
knew of this girl
to which they knew
she would change the world

A fawn she crept
upon one day
it sensed no danger
no need to escape

Her acquired ability
to speak with those
on four legs with fur
scurrying would go

She was as a spirit
in the woods she did walk
she would talk to the animals
to her they would flock

She'd gentle reach down
and with the smallest of hands
much like the grains of sand
beside them she'd stand

Together as one
the fairy and fawn
if you close your eyes tight
you may see them at dawn

"I have seen the fawn wake up at dawn...
and then she did not tarry.
This tiny deer so full of cheer

She knew that the winged one
would help her through the day
and with the sun at end of day
would quietly slip away.

But fawns grow into beautiful deer
and time just passes on.
Now the mother deer, it is so clear,

Donna, I hope you don't think I am presumptuous to think this would improve on your beautiful poem... No, It is just an example of how perfection can trigger creativity in the least of us...
You have my honest admiration and respect for this and many other fine works in your portfolio... Love Ya! Jake

Mother Doe and Fairy
Inspired by Donna G. Fowler’s
‘Of Fawn and Fairy’

I saw the fawn wake up at dawn...
and then she did not tarry.
This tiny deer so full of cheer
set out to find the fairy.

She knew that the winged one
would teach her the right ways
and with the sun at end of day
would quietly slip away.

 Fawns grow into beautiful deer
as time just passes on.
Now the mother deer, it is so clear,
seeks the fairy to teach her own.

The fairy knew her language
and all the others too.
She had tutored many youngsters
in the proper things to do.

The forest had been good to her
and the years had been kind too.
When the Doe felt life within her
she knew just what to do.

She knew just where the fairy should be
each and every day.
She wanted her to teach her fawn
to live the forest’s way.

The mother doe was nearing
the birth of her first fawn.
She arrived there at the clearing
just at break of dawn.

She sensed the fairy knew --
for she felt her presence there.
The comfort she had sought to find
Could be felt in the morning air.

She lay down in the comfort
of a nearby grove of trees
And quietly awaited there
in the cooling morning breeze.

Then she heard the quiet flutter
Of tiny little wings
She saw the fairy coming
as the birds began to sing.

She now relaxed and soon she knew
the peace the forest sends
And she found herself surrounded
by scores of tiny friends.

They all had heard the news
and all had been invited
To come and see the miracle
of two friends reunited.

The fairy knew why she’d been called
to this very special place
She was here to help the deer
receive God’s special grace.

It was not long – it had begun
And quickly, it was over.
There lay the mother doe and fawn
in the comfort of the clover.

The fairy then took stardust
and sprinkled it in their eyes.
Now when they exchange gazes
their love is not disguised.

The fairy and the doe and fawn
then went their separate way
knowing this would not be the last
of many special days.

Review:
Jake, I knew you could continue this after what you placed in my review. First I am honored that you were inspired by something I started. Secondly, this is an amazing continuation of my poem. You are so visual in this and I could see the field of clover and the new baby fawn. I felt as if I were there watching. Fantastic job my friend.. I'm so excited!!!!

BY THE SEA

PART One,,,, as she saw it.

The mountains and the meadows were always so beautiful this time of year.
It seemed as if a fresh new world always came to life. The high cliffs turned sharply downward. As I sat listening to the ocean tides smashing against the walls of the mountain below. There was a mild breeze blowing from the south. The grass in the flower covered meadows moved with the breeze. The sun shined so brightly I thought it would melt me at times.

As I stood up from the log where I was sitting by the emerald forest, the breeze pressed my dress against me. It formed to the soft round curves of my breast, down through the curves of my waist pushing against my yielding hips. As I blinked from the sun, I saw him there in the distance. I had thought I was alone. But there he was, starring straight at me. What would I do and where could I turn? I knew what kinds of thoughts men had, my mother told me all about them. I saw that he was beginning to move my way !

I saw him there as he saw me. I was paralyzed, not knowing what direction to move. Though as I watched him from afar, he did not seem dangerous as my mother always warned. Still, I could hear her words like a tape recorder in the back of my mind.

Should I dare take my eyes from his? I could see his eyes were dark, maybe brown, or even midnight blue. What ever the color, I could tell they were smoldering with restrained passions. His hair was long to his shoulder blades. I knew that because it moved with the wind. He had broad shoulders with long legs. I knew I must not let him reach me. If his arms entangled me , surely I would never get loose. And, I'm not sure I would want too. Even though I heard the words of my mother, running in my head.
I could feel the tiny beads of sweat trickling down between my breasts. I was not sure I should take my eyes from him as I leaned down to pick up the fan that had slipped from my hand to my bare feet.

PART ONE,,,, As he saw it .

The winter snow had melted and yielded to the bright warming rays of the spring sun. The bears had come out of hibernation with their new born looking for food. The mountains and the meadows were born again, new, fresh and alive with life. Everything was beautiful and as it should be. Birds singing, their mating songs blended with the crash of the surf against the steep cliffs of the mountain. Nature was at peace with itself, and I came here to share in this peace. To be alone with the earth, or so I thought.

I found a place to sit on the grass hidden among the flowers in the high meadows. So I could enjoy the gentle breeze blowing while watching the forest animals. The warm sun caressed my body and warmed me. It was a prefect day, yet something was missing. A day like this needed to be shared with someone, someone special. Stretching, I caught a slight movement out of the corner of my eye, just across the enchanted forest. Of a beautiful women. It couldn't be possible as no one knew of this place. I had come here for years and had never seen a another person before. Yet, there she was. Dressed in a dress the wind made love to, pressing it to her body. Clinging to the sensual curves of her breast, down to her firm waist and full inviting hips. I suddenly felt drawn to her and stood up. I knew she had seen me as she was starring back at me, as I stood staring back at her. She was a vision. And I was afraid she would vanish if I approached her. Yet, she seemed to be smiling, calling to me as I started walking towards her. I remember the stories my grandmother had told me of the enchantresses that lived in this forest, but I did not hesitate. I would give to her anything she wanted, anything she desired.

As I approached her I realized she was real. She seemed to be looking at me, daring me to come closer. All the stories of the enchantress my grandmother had told me flooded my mind with a warning. Yet, she was so beautiful, so inviting and I couldn't take my eyes from her. I was slowly losing control with each and every step that brought me closer to her. I knew I was lost as I felt the heat of my desire to be with her, starting to take control. It was a struggle not to run to this beautiful creature , with the golden hair, and angelic face. As I came closer I couldn't help but notice her sensual breasts rising and falling with each breath she took. She seemed to be smiling, challenging me with everything that made her a beautiful, desirable woman. A woman this sensual, this beautiful, this desirable was surely the enchantress, and I was hers. As a bee is drawn to the flower, I was being drawn to this women.

Suddenly she reached down to pick something up. It was just then I noticed she was barefoot. As she bent over to retrieve what she had dropped, the sun reflected off her spun gold hair. and radiated a golden brightness that was almost blinding. Her dress shifted allowing me to see that her body enhanced her dress, rather then the dress enhancing her body. She would look beautiful in anything she wore. The heat of my desire for her was beginning to consume me with it's fire. I felt the beginnings of ,,,,,,,,,,

My God on Earth: My Mother

A heart that cries more than me
in my pain.
Whose congenial and benign teachings
make me sane.
A warm touch that dispels from me
the gales of worry.
Whose proximity ensures me that I'm
protected by her under furry.
A helping hand that always hold me
whenever I'm about to lose.
& my first teacher who makes me to
distinguish between donts' and dos'.
A voice and nothing more, an Angel
who is entirely mine just after my birth.
And she is none other but 'My Mother',
The God on Earth.

Although to define her in words is
beyond my skill.
Nevertheless I can say that her pace in
my life, none can fill.
She is the one who needs not a single
word of me to understand.
In my devastation, she is always there
to provide effusively her hand.
In the weariness of my life, with her,
I may lose to be in link.
But she ever remembers me whenever I
breathe or my eyes blink.
I can say that in search of heaven,
I needn't to go anywhere.
I would like to put my head in my
mother's lap, as its only there..

On her way

The princess calls me out tonight
She looks so beautiful, strong and bright
Tears stream down my face
As I look at my darling with her shining knight

taking her away
shes so beautiful today
I know he'll love you till the end
Forever, we'll be friends

Baby, Its hard to see you go
Leaving us for this young lad
You wont be around, but i'll be glad
You deserve more than this whole world
Show mummy everything you hold

My darlings leaving
to start her life
I can tell you, this one thing
She will be the most amazing wife

taking her away
Shes so beautiful today
I know he'll love you till the end
Forever, we'll be friends

Mother's Highlights

The highlights in your hair, so familiar
Rays of sunshine, rays of love
I can't remember a time without them
I don't want to remember a time without you.
The smile on your face is genuine,
and Mother, I'll miss it so
The smile of my own, quite similar;
But I want you to know that I love you
Just as much as I know you love me,
So in the next year
In the next two
Please don't forget, ever,
That I really love you.
When I look into the brown of your eyes,
And the soft growing wrinkles in your cheeks,
(yet still that beautiful, youthful glow,
leading people to believe you are my sister)
Brings tears to the blue of my own.
Mother, time is racing faster
Though I'll miss you, I have to do this.
I know in whom I have trusted
I know in whom I'll trust forever.
He looks over us, you taught me that,
He will look over us, forever.
I will miss your tan and freckled arms
Reaching out to me before I walk upstairs,
But for these next years, I have to do this.
For these next years, I will be thinking of you.
In the next year
In the next two
Please don't forget, ever,
That I will always love you.

Grandparents

Grandparents

Grandparents they be two lights
Who may lead to wisdoms door.
For hopefully they've lived their lives
And made that journey to the core
And found the jewel buried there
Beneath the shades of sorrow.
And now these two be living life
No past and no tomorrows.

They be a pool within a desert
Where the grass grows lush and green.
A cool place where the kids drop in
To breath in air that's more serene.
They will be gentle, sweet, but stern
{If the need for this comes up}
But mostly kids look on these folk
To over fill the loving cup.

And when these ancient ones depart
And through the golden gates do stroll
The power that rules these mighty realms
{Once the aids have weighed the soul}
Will send them down as spirit folk
To help folks lives to flow
before they enter Earth again
To gain another chance to grow.

Love Never Fades

There's a little history to this particular poem. I know I wrote it when I was 11 or 12 years old. I wrote it for my Grandma Dorabel, who is today 90 years old. I also wrote it for my uncle John who had been taking care of her at the time; I didn't want to leave him out so I put on the letter: For Grandma Dee and Uncle John! I wrote this short little poem along with a drawing of a cat and some flowers. However, I actually never sent the picture to her! My parents and I must have forgotten to send! To me that was unacceptable! I thought to myself today when I found the picture, I must send it now! The picture is now on its way to her, so I am happy she will at last receive it.

---------------------------- You can send me a bouquet of flowers, You can order me a box of chocolates, You can buy me a fancy outfit, But flowers don't last, Chocolates eventually disappear, Outfits get out of style, Yet Love never fades, And it's the most precious gift of all

A Woman Like a Rose

The rose bud is small and the smell is so sweet
And no other flower in the garden quite so unique

When the petals unfold it makes a beautiful rose
and the fragrance of that flower fills the air

Take the thorns from that beautiful rose
and the beauty can no longer to be found

When the morning dew falls softly on the rose
it's like a tear on a woman's face when she cries

And when a woman's pride is taken away
like the rose her beauty is faded and gone

So never make a woman cry and men be very aware
her beauty may be hidden but the thorn is still there

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

Your first born son tried to put in words
The things he feels inside
Memories, warmth, and wisdom
And the kind of love you cannot hide.

He took a pen and paper
His thoughts he tried to steer
As he thought about his blessed mom
His eyes began to tear.

He wrote about your beauty
A woman of amazing grace
How you could bring great comfort
Just with a smile upon your face.

He spoke of your loving kindness
And all the sweet things you do
Thinking and serving others
Even when you're feeling blue.

You know he'd love to be there
There's so much he'd like to say
To give you hugs and kisses
And wish you Happy Mothers Day!

Blessing

Priceless pearl
my hidden diamond
love's sweet jewel

Heaven sent
Angelic countenance
Beauty so pure

Lovely daughter
your character delights
my devotion forever

Heartbeat on screen
My unbelief ceased
the moment
You
first squeezed my finger

Angels

On the wings of two angles I was brought into this world…
My mother and father I’ve called them since I first spoke,

To their arms I ran when I first walked…

When my heart was not calm

Their love would come…

When no one believed
They saw what others couldn’t see
When I would cry
With a calm sigh they would smile
And the whole world would stop and the pain would die…
They taught me to not lie…
They taught me to be human…
On the wings of two angels I was brought into this world…
My mother…her beauty puts the stars to shame….
My father…his heart stronger than all the men that walk among us…

I thank my lord for giving me
The biggest treasure on this world,
Love that is clearly out of this world…
Thank you…

Qualities of Health Engendering Women

They see strengths
Not the limitations
These are people who will make you proud of yourself
They will tell you why you’re special
Trust you to the point you have to answer their expectations
They make you better than you normally are
You can be proud of yourself

For what you’ve done
Where you’ve come from
They see what you’ve experienced something real
Respect you for your courage
They live by their rules
They do not expect you to follow theirs
They are at peace to themselves
They are not proving anything to you
They are good listeners
Sincere in their interest in you

ONCE AGAIN THANK YOU

I was just trying to remember the past
trying to remember the good people
 and the bad people,
that i came across on my way,

i want you to know
that you are among the good people
that left a good trace in my life,

once again i just want to say thank you
for passing through my life,
is so short but is wonderful
i want you here forever.

WHO AM I BY NAME ALONE

written 10th Aug 2013

I am God's child, first and forever
I am known by many different titles, a daughter
I am a wife
I am a mother
I am a grandmother
I am a poet
I am by several ways, known as a sister
I am an acquaintance
I am a loyal friend
I am a stranger
I am a cousin
I am an Auntie
I am a niece
But who is this person, they all call "Denise?"

She is a child to God
She is a niece
She is a cousin
She is a stranger
She is a loyal friend
She is an acquaintance
She is known to many, a sister
She is a poet
She is a grandmother
She is a mother
She is a wife
She is known as a daughter to many
She is everything, she'd ever dreamed her life to be....
She is happier than she ever imagined possible
SHE IS "DENISE"

Midnight Lullaby

I wrapped all my tears, to see you smile.
you are the best, always by my side.
I tell you my feelings will get you crying,
you must think I’m out of my mind.

You don’t know, what I know,
all the angels let me go.

We were born to teethe and die,
you will grow to be so fine.
Fall in love, feel your softer side,
Remember me when life is kind.

When you go, let me know,
don’t walk away like the world and go.

Life is rough and the world unkind,
fight them down and you will be fine.
The truth of live is a brutal sight,
make no mistakes, you can learn from mine.

You have a strong heart, you are unique
I treasure times when you smile at me.

Live the life, I could not find,
be there for me, when I say goodbye.

A Farmer's Eyes and a Sailor's Shadow

A thorough yield
On a farm field of far east
It took me time to realize
How far I am to my far east of coast

Call of my weather
Call of my winds
I sailed further and farther
To my naked coasts
Naive songs, Nimble rains
Nile of rivers, Nascent clouds

Reaching this far
I kissed my earth
Ground of my grief
Glory of my ghosts
Glad is those leaves
However scanty they are

Cast is my shadows
No longer they hide
My colors and my figures
They cast numbers on stars
Measure their light
Scope my winters
Scale my summers
Scanty my rains
Scuttle I wish my springs

Now let me see my greens
Their leveling heights
Their leafy gaze
Their spiderly gesture
Their primordial texture
Now let me be slow
In company of my greens

A Genuine Memory of Love

Wish I could rewind the hands of the clock,
Only love songs with you I'll slowly rock.
There's many things I didn't get to say,
You left me & gone on a rainy day.

I still didn't give you that gift,
Just once more in my arms, you I wished I'd lift.
Your many attributes & words I did admire,
Like Jesus is the only way to escape Hell's fire.

A granny so awesome you showed that you care,
And a strong shoulder needed you were always there.
Teach all daily to do what's right,
And there's victory for us if we unite.

How can I forget whenever you call,
A short prayer was said for me & all.
I'm ever thankful for your blessings & love,
I'm guilty for not giving you what you deserve.

Through grief & pain you were holding strong,
Still hoping your days on earth were more long.
But you will always stay deep in my heart,
Because of the great things to me you taught.

"Don't trod the road that's broad & wide",
I'm trying hard so I'll see you on the other side.
Surely you're up there looking down,
With flowers, white dress & a golden crown.

Hera

Hera precious, gorgeous queen of splendor,
of mighty Ares,and Enyo,the mother,
to thee I write my gratitude and thanks
for all thy blessings showered upon my head.
Thine is the pomegranate and the diadem,
with which you rule all worlds and human lands,
with magnanimous mercy and charity.
of rainbow colors dressed divine thou art,
the sunny smiling matron of the arts,
Thou, queen, who favorest the pure of heart.

i only wish

                                                              she's beautiful,
                                                         with hair dark and deep.
i imagine me running my fingers through it.
                                                    i imagine kissing her cheeks.
                                                         ive wanted her forever.
                                                           i need her right now.
                                                            but she's like a bird
                                                      nobody can tie her down.
i wish i had her with me. so i can tell her these things.
and i also wish i could tell my mom, who would be so disapointed in me.
i only wish i could come out and scream to the world.
                                                "I DON'T CARE I'M IN LOVE WITH A GIRL!"
i only wish that my mother could see,
that even though i might be gay, i still want her to love me.
so tonight ill call her, my lover (if that) and fight with her when she ccalls herself fat.
i laugh along with her, and talk about her day.
then my mom will burst through the door crying. then i'll tell her, im gay.

Will We Know Him

Will We Know Him?

Will we know Him if He stood in front of us?
If He walked by us on the street?
Will we know Him?
If we have a chance to meet Him in our  lifetime?
In that split second that we meet Him?
Our eyes met for the first time?
Will we know Him?
Yes reading the moment we stood side by side?
Our smiles are very clear
Our heart jumps around
Yes we do know Him?
That look, and that feeling
When we know we've found our home
Yes we do know Him
Yes we know what to say to Him
As we walk away together
Yes we know Him as He knows us His children
We are finally together

Happy Mother's Days

A mother's holiday should be everyday,
To show you the thanks I wish to repay.

A million word poem could never consist,
Of all that you do - a lifetime of lists.

So Ill keep it short - a miniature report.
To convey my gratitude for all your support.

Preparing this thank-you, builds tears in my eyes.
The bulletproof bond we share never dies.

Countless memories we've made as a pair,
Has given me more than I can compare

Your lessons of chivalry I've cherished so dear.
You've molded my heart to love with no fear.

Your lullaby songs that put me to sleep,
Created a herd of infinite sheep.

Happy Mother's Day Mom, I hope you enjoy.
Much love from your son, your grown baby boy.

- Yours Truly

Female Companion

                                                           So critical
                                                   For most part difficult

I never really could grasp her in such way
She just wants me to some how stay
She comes to my man cave and makes me obey

Shy she was and now I am scared
In such way I almost cared
She thinks she can do everything for me I swear

She makes me guess everyday but I keep on believing
Because it is fun to give her a kiss, while she does not know when she is sleeping
She stresses out but I will tell her my love for her keeps deepening

So for the most part I just keep her close to make her smile and me
When I do things I do it for her it is always a key
Call me romantic or call me stupefied, but it makes her so, so, sooo, happy

Nature's Sigh

The Black butterfly waves away her adorations
All she seeks is seclusion, subsuming slave to mortification
The Dear Air is all she can breath, captive of imaginary dreams
The Beacon resonates, but the hope isolates
The Wasteland's silky fingers caressing the virgin's face

So she is now, the covet of the damned
Programmed to every victim's pain
Carrying the weight of every sorrow
Drowning in wrongs she does not know
But paradise is at loss; she must go

Nature sighs after the bite
All my hopes fading
Don't look at me with those sorrowful eyes
How do you know exactly what I'm feeling?
I'm just the ghost flower passing by
And you can hear nature's sigh

What People Were and What People Are

People were
Many things.
Strange or not

People were
Different and
Odd and fun.

People were
Monsters but…
That’s not all

People were
And still are
Strange and odd.

People are
People. For
life is life.

Yet not.
Not is lies.
Truth seeps from

Every mouth
Lies, lies, lies
Move, move, move

But somehow
Lies prevail.
Lies are life.

Lies are death.
Lies are homes.
Lies are pain.

Lies are truth.
Yet somehow.
Truth prevails.

Truth is life.
Truth is death.
Truth is home.

Truth is pain.
Truth is lie.
Truth is that.

Lies will die.
Lies will cease.
Nevermore.

Truth will live.
Truth will be.
Forever.

The Beautiful Hands of the Bridegroom A true story

~The Beautiful Hands of the Bridegroom(A true story)
"Imagine a lovely garden, tea for two, and this story . . . "

~My grandmother called me one day disturbed by a recurring open vision,
saying, “Two beautiful hands were let down unto me from the ceiling.
“What does it mean? I keep seeing these hands every night after
   I lie down in bed.”

~Immediately, I knew the answer. I said, grandma, the left hand has
a wedding ring, on the left finger, does it not? A brief silence on the
other end of the phone, “Why yes John it sure does, now that you
mention it. It is the most beautiful wedding ring that I have ever seen.”
To which I replied, “Granny, it is your Lord assuring you that He is your
spiritual husband. Do not be sad when He comes to take you home“
I reassured my eighty year old grandmother. She said, ”Yes that is exactly
what it means. I had not thought of that.”

~This was a divinely granted clear plan given to my granny afterwards
she was never frightened of death again.

~A few days later, my expression of principle said,” One day soon I will
awaken your granny New in the night and tell her to go into the living
room and sit on the couch, for it will be the time that I will take her
   soul home with me.

~About eight months later the shuttle truck for the elderly stopped at
my granny’s door one morning to take her into town for dinner with her
friends. She did not answer the door. The body could be seen through
the window, sitting upright on the couch hands folded in lap with head
leant to one side as if asleep. The fully clad body wore house shoes...
This was the adoption of my dear granny… Martha New.

L O M L Always

The thought of her smiling gave me faith
From when we were little we bathe
My mother and her mother is best friends
They both took care of us and gifts they send
We pulled each others hair
And she was always quick to dare
When I smiled at her she knew it was no good
She learned to pull me up and she understood
I just wanted her attention and that she gave
She knew it in her heart love was my slave
From when we were a child with full of energy I had my way
She was the one who was my guide and she did not push me away
When I saw her cry one day and her eyes was so sad
I gave her a flower and I smiled at her and made her glad
When some one special leaves her heart
I sat by her and never wanted to depart
She is the love of my life always
She is the one who gave me my hope through out my days
So I gave her my heart and love from within
And I did not make it thin
I stood by her side since I was a child
I gave her my support when we were wild
She knew who I was and I let her go the distance
I did not hate her or give her resistance
My mother and her mother are great friends and their virtue will never end
Because of their love they both trusted us to live our ways to transcend
So my childhood friend was my best friend, and now my wife
She new it from the start that we part of each others life

The Most Beautiful Woman

She does not own the perfect vital statistics,
nor has a pointed nose, the shiniest hair.
She is not as gorgeous as Miss Universe,
But the world's turning because of her.
Her hands are not as soft as cotton,
Her skin is not as smooth as silk.
She is not the hottest girl in a magazine.
The girl that drives you to heaven.
Her lips aren't like as Angelina Jolly,
But has a power to send you in bliss.
She is an extraordinary woman...
She is your wife....
Love her with all your heart.
Show her the beauty she owns inside.
For she's the most beautiful woman,
A mother of your child.

Praising Mother

Our beautiful mother,
Who gave birth to us,
Nurtured us and raised us,
With loving care,
Our companion all our lives,
Father's beautiful wife,
Friend through calm and controversy,
A miracle of kindness,
Taught us right from wrong,
With us during our married years,
Grandmother and great-grandmother,
Godly and religious,
Looking after all her children,
Loved and respected by us all,
I remember her whimsical sense of humour,
She had the patience that passeth understanding,
A tribute to all mothers on this special day,
Happy Mother's Day and God bless you.

Winter is near

Summer is gone winter is near the rain will come the leaves will fall the sky will turn gray and the clouds will roll in. In addition, the birds will fly south for their winter break. Forevermore, when the leaves start to grow back, the flowers come out, and the bees are buzzing. For their the birds will be back, with all their little ones all so nestled in their nest with mother feeding them from beak to beak, as you can hear them singing a beautiful tune.
You cannot help but think how wonderful and beautiful the birds can sound as their mother is feeding them from beak to beak.

The Reality of a Dream

I have felt the bliss, of a daughter’s kiss,
and realize what heaven must seem.
For in all my life, thru happiness and strife,
my daughter’s laughter consumes my dreams.

I have sailed afar, and traveled the stars,
in search of a more beautiful feeling.
I’ve flown by air, for this beautiful love affair,
that sends my heart and soul a reeling.

I’ve rode the train, in search of a domain,
where love feels as brilliant as this.
I’ve swam the ocean, with perfect motion,
yet always amiss to finding this bliss.

I’ve treaded the bush, in Australia I push,
demanding they show me the path to glory,
but I leave empty handed, though I’ve demanded,
a beautiful ending to this tormenting story.

I’ve lived my life, searching for who I am,
and always do I come up short.
I fret and I ponder, for a love that is fonder,
than this love in my dreams I distort.

Still I fail, to no avail, to find a reality as grand,
than the laughter I hear, in this dream I command.
I ‘ve walked life’s path, in search of a resolution,
mindless to an ultimate desperate conclusion.
For a dream is an illusion, a visionary infusion,
a poignant resolution to all confusion – and a dream is just that….a dream.

My Mama

My mother is a beautiful woman,
She always holds her head up high,
Even when she is about to cry,
Her strength and beauty is all I see,

She always holds her head up high,
Working so hard to help us get by,
Her strength and beauty is all I see,
I can't explain what she means to me,

Working so hard to help us get by,
Even when she is about to cry,
I can't explain what she means to me,
My mother is a beautiful woman.

The Purity of the Human Soul

" Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and temperate"
                                          - William Shakespeare

His question ponders through my mind
For he claimed how thou art more beautiful than thee
Enchanting summer with its mother; the sun

For thou are indeed my guide
Thou art my sun that never misleads
Thou art the one person I shan't leave
And shan't wish to be gone by the morning's rise

O treasure deep within my soul
Beam so strong to enlighten my days
Art thou hearing the wonderful tune?
Playing so softly with the rise of the light
But then again thou art brighter than the sun

Thou art the glass of pure water
Emerging from the steep, creamy waterfall
Gleaming sparks attached to your white neck
Purifying the light touching your skin

" Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?"
Nay, for thou art more beautiful than a summer's day
For if I do compare
The sun shall melt and the wind shall be amazed
By the beauty thou behold
Embedded deep within your soul

Beauty isn't only from the outside, but from the inside; within a soul,
For the outside might just be a disguise, to simply foul one into ambuscades

Is It A Dream World

A funny little clown, a bright red nose.
Lots of make-up, and bright blue bows.

Children laughing, some fat and some thin.
Either dressed in new clothes or rags that are faded and dim.

Pretty white ponies with beautiful glittery saddles.
And again, those funny clowns are hitting eachother with paddles.

One clown keeps fallimg and pretending to cry.
The other is daydreaming and lets out a big sigh.

There are beautiful ladies whose costumes are rare.
And a man who scares the children by dressing up as a bear.

Fantasizing is a convienient thing, it keeps the shock low.
So the surprise about the real world won't be such a big blow.

"Surprised about what"? is what you ask next.
Its something you can't learn in a text.

You'll learn about life by the things you go through.
You'll learn about whats fake and about what is true.

You'll see that the clowns are still funny and have a red nose.
But then you'll see realize only money buys the ladies rare clothes.

That's also when you realize your clothes are faded and dim.
And you recognize how many times you've been beaten by him.

Yes, those clowns with paddles are at it again.
Funny. They are married and they're children number ten.

Thier children are scared and crying in bed.
Because thier big mean daddy made thier sweet mommy dead.

Sweet Dreams

My beautiful boy gently sleeps through the night dreaming of far off places I'll never see. Under a hand-knitted blanket soft and white, I quietly watch him breathing peacefully. Sweet lullabies tenderly drift through the air as I kiss his cheek and lightly stroke his hair. My beautiful boy sleeps in the nightlight glow while I dream of a man with a smile I know. My beautiful son with a kind, gentle soul dreaming of adventures to one day unfold. You mended my heart where there once was a hole. I'll shelter you always, you'll never be cold. Sleep my baby sleep while the stars gaze on you as you slumber on train sheets in pale, sky blue. My beautiful son says goodnight to the moon while I dream of a man who has grown too soon. *My little darling, Dylan, is "graduating" from preschool next month. He has taken his cap and gown picture, and seeing the pictures, I can't help but think how he is growing up too soon. I cherish every sweet moment. He is a beautiful child. Not Too Late

There's a ghost hiding in the past
there's a boy wishing it has last
all these secrets stop the seting sun
all the love has grown, but never said
and he wishes he could've told her what she meant
he wishes he could've said how he felt

But it's not too late
just open your heart
she hears every word you say
her guidance helps lead the way
forever's gone by too fast
but deep in our heart it will last
look into your soul and hear it ring
the beautiful song that she sings

There's an angel looking down
There's a boy without a frown
all this hope brings the rising sun
all thsi love we wish we had sent
he can feel she's in his heart
and will enver let him fall apart

"cause its not too late
just open your heart
she hears every word you say
her guidance helps lead the way
forever's gone by too fast
but deep in our heart it will last
look into your soul and hear it ring
the beautiful song that she sings

He remembers
talking o nteh couch feeling safe
he remembers writing a poem and her saying its great
he remembers
how he cried wehn she didn't open her eyes
he remembers
fearing things he can't describe

"cause its not too late
just open your heart
she hears every word you say
her guidance helps lead the way
forever's gone by too fast
but deep in our heart it will last
look into your soul and hear it ring
the beautiful song that she sings

Moment

I remember every second of my life I spent with you,
Every moment that I stayed beside you.
The times I dedicated to help you, to save you from harm,
I did that just to help you through.

Every minute of my life that I walked beside you,
Every minute we smiled together.
It may wear me away, but I’ll gladly stay by your side as long as I can,
I’ll be with you forever.

Every hour of my life I spent hugging you tight,
Every hour we laughed the night away,
Of course I remember it all, how could I ever forget?
Even when you tell me to go, I’ll just smile and stay.

Every day I spent supporting you, to make you happy.
Even if I cannot be happy myself, it’s fine when I see you smile.
When I see you cry, I’ll always be there to make you feel better,
Even if I cry my days away, seeing you smile is worth my while.

Every week I left you, I regret it because I can’t see you, I can only hear you,
Every day in that week I can’t see your face, it hurts me more and more.
When I can’t hug you tight or see you smile,
The pain hurts me at the core.

Every month and year we have left together, I’ll stay by your side,
Smiling gently, for you are the person I’ll love forever.
Even when that time comes, I will continue to smile because I still,
Remember that first moment of my life we were together.

This is for you, mother, you’ve taught me all the rest.
For you, I hope nothing but the best.

' The Day, Was A Holy Day ... '

This Day, Was A Holy Day
As Crystal Drops Came Down
A Beautiful Display
And Soothing Sound

Like An Echo of Joyous Children
Or A Drum-Roll Softly Nearing
Or Like Angels Were Cheering …
That’s What … It Was Like Hearing !

And It Poured Like A Pitcher
Cool, and Smooth and Clean
Slanting On My Window
Inspiring Me To Sing:

 - - - - - - -

“ Pitter-Patter, Pitter-Patter
Today … Nothing Is The Matter
Plop, Plop, Splatter, Splatter
Inside, We’re All Together

Washing Away Every Tear
Rinsing Away, Every Fear
Refreshing Every Year …
… Raindrops, Touched Our Dears “

- - - - - - -

This Day, Water Came In Streams
But No Thunder or Lightning Screams
Just Innocent, Wistful, Wet Dreams
And Later, Rainbow Gleams

(And Waiting For Tonight’s Moonbeams) …

Today … Was A Holy Day
As Crystal Drops Came Down
A Beautiful Display
And Soothing Sound …

The Mum

The first to wake
Another day
Another show
Boom boom, shake shake
Sleepy yawns
Wakey wake

Supermarket run
I used to find them so much fun
Until she decided to scream and shout
Bring it on girl
Loud and all out
I’ll just go and hide on my cloud

Ready steady bake
Last to eat the cake
“Have you had some Mum?”
No darling, you take

Mechanical moves
Automated mind
Generally
I don’t mind
I’d like for you to shed me
Some kind
Spend some time
To simply find
It’s healthy at times to be blind

I push, I pull
Kids to school
I wish I were just
Horizontal in a pool

I could just walk out
“No mum that’s not cool”
Would I be such a fool?
But I’m the queen you know
I make the rules

The irritating whining song
A bell at the door
Ding-dong
I really need a manicure; it’s been so long
Door again
Ting tong
“What took you so long?”
I’m sorry
I was busy window-shopping in Hong Kong

“Where’s my glove mum?”
Deep breathes, play dumb
“Where’s my recorder mum?”
One, two, three
Numb numb
“Sweetheart bring me the remote”
Here darling, stick it up your bum

The first to wake
The first to leave home
I want to be first in bed some days
To sit around and just laze
I need a haircut, some highlights
“Are you listening mum?”
Always!

Oh Vulnerable Woman

What a beauty you are!
In this very life, my life!
Oh vulnerable woman!

In your fertile womb,
Precious little life,
What a beauty you are!

Lovely soul takes life bids,
Without hesitation,
Oh vulnerable woman!

Without your weakness,
You would not offer love,
What a beauty you are!

Selfless is your existence;
Yielding self to a small one,
Oh vulnerable woman!

Your delicate body gifted life,
And life gives peace as price,
What a beauty you are!
Oh vulnerable woman!

That's Where The Lord Lives

I walk outside to see all that I can see.
Over there is our house, our home,
In the distance, you can see.
And that place of hallowed happiness
Forever has been our home
And forever will be so evermore.
That house is small but raised us tall,
From the perfect parents who loved us so
To the perfect sister for which every man would want.
The house built us all up strong.
More than a mere building,
It is a place to love and be loved,
A place that hands you hope that you give right back,
And a place of everlasting faith.
This home is where my parents taught me about God
And opened me up to Jesus.
They opened the eyes of the blind for all to see,
And the blind included me.
They taught me to be the best I can be;
The best things in life are free.
They have taught us so well,
And they all have saved my soul.
Even if I am not there now,
I carry Him with me.
I carry them with me.
I carry Their values and Their teachings with me.
In this house, this home,
We reside.
We cannot forget this.
This is where my Mother lives.
This is where my Father lives.
This is where my Sister lives.
This is where We live,
In this loving, caring, beautiful home
They made just for us.
We cannot forget this either.
This is where it all began.
This is where the hunger and thirst was created;
This is where we are fulfilled.
We cannot, we must not forget this:
This is where God lives.
This is where Jesus lives.
This is where The Lord lives;
The Father and The Almighty.
This is where We live;
This is where We reside.
We must not forget this.
We must not forget this:
What a beautiful and perfect life this is.

Motherment

The greatest life wonderment
As far as I'm concerned is “Motherment.”

No, don't go check the dictionary
You won't find it, it's my vocabulary.

There's nothing more beautiful in this world
Than being a mother.

Nothing that makes me know I'm God's daughter
Better than being a mother.

I am so blessed He gave me six beautiful children
Something I could not have done without their father.

Even though he is a complete jerk (smile)
Through him I became a mother.

And I love him for that amazing grace
Of anger and fear no longer a trace.

Being the mother of these beautiful children
Is the best accomplishment I could render.

Kurt

i am kurt daniel everdean
I am 21 years old
I've been playing the bass guitar
Since I was 11
i weight 145 pounds
i have blondish brown hair
and blue eyes

If I could say one thing about me that I like... Its that I never gave up.

things started when i lost my father
i was 10 years old
my mother started going to her room everytime she got home
she would come out with her eyes all red... Shes been crying
until i accidently walked in on her doing drugs
i now believe it was the drugs that caused the redness
me and my brother would fight everynight
when i bought my first bass
he slammed it against the floor
and told me since i think my lifes crap
then i shouldnt have anything that makes me happy
My mom became a street whore
She would dress in a golden gown and wear ugly make up
We would never see her
unless she needed money to get condoms for her "men"

the things between me and my brother got worse
I was arguing with him over a text he sent my mom
And he got into an accident and died that night

Things just never got better
I created a band called the nocturnal
And the reason you haven't heard of us yet
Is because were an underground punk band in Seattle
we haven't gotten far yet
Just underground party's and bars

My mom ended up running away with her "boyfriend"
After my brother died she blamed me
And told me to leave and said she won't come around me
Until I brought him back

Since then I've gotten a job and was able to pay rent on
My moms old apartment
Hoping shed come back clean and sober
As for me
I've cleaned up. but suicide is still an option

I haven't found god yet and I don't want to
If there was a god why did he give me this ****ed up life
Ya you'll say Kurt?... You made the desicions for your life
I knolw I did. But he was the one who let it actually happen

I've been writing since I was 11
Lyrics and poems
Drawings and paintings
bass guitar and vocals

My life isn't over
But it's sure close to it

Its sad to think that what you thought was fake... Is a true story

An Ode to my Mother

An Ode to my mother.

Each day with the rising of the sun
With the sweet melody of the birds and
With the fragrance of sweet flowers,
With the opening of buds which bloom to begin a new life,
Bloom to turn into beautiful flowers
I also bloom to rediscover new life
New energy and new path

You rise up each day
My spirits rise up to new height

You speak up each day
My heart echoes to your words

You smile each day
And I feel like heaven’s door are opened
And the entire world’s happiness is bestowed to me.

Sometimes you turn morose
Then the light which reaches me and
Rejuvenates my life turns dim and I shrink,
The beautiful flower’s whose source of nutrition are you
Wither, die, scatter and fall on your feet,
The leaves which were once bright and lusty green,
Lose their strength and color
And fall pale brown, lifeless, burnt and make me bare and make me lose my
identity.

And when you are burning in rage and fury
You fall on me like hails and thunderstorms
Your agony makes me burn and I dazzle with pain.

And when you turn silent
The darkness within you
Condense now to dark clouds
Drenched with your tears,
Tears of your pain and resentment
Then you pour on me heavily
To cool me and extinguish that
Fire and give a healing touch to my burns.

Oh! Mom you are the Mother Nature,
Who embraces her children and teaches them to survive,
I bow before you and salute you my mother.

IF WORDS COULD EVER EXPLAIN

All from the beginning
Almost a year of pains
All the early sickness
Everything from sleepless night
To kicks in the stomach
From nights of torture
To nappy changing
All the cuddling
The joy of fist words to first steps
Could words ever explain
My gratitude.

All you gave me
Unconditional love you gave
Your undying love to date
Through thick and thin by my side
All the support and courage you gave
But words could never explain
What you really mean

House could never be a home without you
Family could never be complete without you
You’re a role model
You’re heroine
You’re everything

In my eyes nothing compares to you
In my eyes your love and care is endless
Because you’re the best
Keep on mother As the saying goes
'Mmangwana o swara thipa ka bogaleng'
‘Mother grasps a knife by the blade.’

Surrender

Surrender

Surrender with them, for those all sins
Always you commit, at the expense of belief
At least, they can purge you, dipping in social work
Do not afraid, there is not, capital punishment.

Bereaving, they do not keep you, in bother
Where there is provision, only of rear and care
Supplies only requirements, later they’ll rear, care you
That heaven is within, in the heart of children

When become saturate, they loll, leaving toys and food
In such innocent vicinity, I wish pass my whole life
Being happy and gaily, volatile immeasurably
Could you believe my advice, you commit, they believe.

Instead of boasting roaring, wasting, prime time for
Tearing sky and ground, with objection disturbance
Invest your purpose, to acquire heavenly bliss for all
Billions mothers are wishing, to offer their prospers.

Testament Of Have Not

God gave me a life to visit the earth
To see the beautiful heaven
Full of fruits and awesome sky
Sets me free with joy and peace

God gave me a mother with full of love
instinctual, unconditional, and forever
persuaded me the greatness of motherhood.
I learnt how dearer was the mother for me
I enjoyed life with liberty and peace.

God gave me a dad with full of care
Affection and great regards
As everything was going grand
I start searching more pleasure and joy
Thus, I have been selfish being all my life.

I punished my parents for my own choices
For the pursuit of happiness.
All charming people, I fancy, are spoiled
And I forgot to wipe other’s tear.

I got sick and found that life is short
I know now how beautiful a day can be
When love and kindness touches the heart
with motherly love.
Be care and cared is only the route
to our common good, then
Return to the God rest in peace.

Mother Nature

The sun beams down lighting up my face and warming my skin
Coaxing my eyes shut to leave the physical world
Letting the natural world fill my veins
The wild wind refreshes my lungs
Replenishing my whole inner being
My mind goes to a wonderful place to take a break from the ever crazy reality
My body begins to weigh down sinking into earths comforting ground
Natures lullaby soothes me to drift off into unconsciousness

The land of dreams and wonderful things, hopefully
With nature surrounding me and cloaking me in divine bliss
Only allowing the subconscious to bring to life beautiful scenes
Flowered trees, fields of green, skies painted picture perfect blue, the air smells and tastes of honeydew, birds sing along to natures tune, the rivers move to the beat of Mother Nature’s heart

A natural awakening brings back my soul from its deep sleep
Slowly uprooting my body from Mother Natures’ loving grasp
She infused me with her energy to help me through the unnatural world we live in
I can't wait for the sun to coax me again to close my eyes and appreciate her beautiful essence once more

Path Warn Down

The shore is what I have seen since I was little
when I grew up it was so far in the distance to see.
Walking the distance when I was a child I was so brittle
to notice the path was so warn out to me.

The little strides I took was not so bad
it was just how it ended up when my mother had my hand.
She pointed out to the horizon to make me glad
that I could look out and see the sand.

The look in her eyes was so beautiful
it was one of those moments that can be captured.
My mother showed me the path and told me to be careful
to not worry about the pain she pictured.

The final walk up to get home was a bummer
because it was the sign that ended my time their.
My time at the beach and the sea was the end of summer
that is when I said, I will be back I swear.

The path might be warn more and more out
even when time passes and when I get older.
My memories of my mother and I will last with out a doubt
with time I get smarter and much bolder.

Tears On The Wind

When my momma prays there are tears on the wind.
Heaven pays attention to this sweet woman's prayers.
She gets a call from someone and her knees automatically bend.
Right then and there her heart she bares.

Many times I've heard her pray for me and my boyfriend.
That we would not fall into any unaware snares.
Always praying that if any of us had sinned,
We would confess them to the God who cares.

Yes tears are on the wind every single time.
Joy unspeakable fills her heart everyday.
She lives to please her Wonderful God sublime.
She is joyous and content in every way.

Everyday with her Lord she is gloriously living
and with her tears on the wind she keeps on giving.

All Things Beautiful

When growing up on the farm in Indiana even at 'round the age of three,
I began to notice simple yet beautiful things that surrounded me.
Strange though it seems, I found beauty in grumpy bumble bees,
And was fascinated by the gold and crimson foliage of autumn's trees!

Golden fields of wheat undulating in the breeze was a beauty to behold,
As were luscious apples ripening on laden trees in hues of red and gold.
Bright green fields of corn that were to provide roasting ears bye and bye,
Were crowned with gilted, dancing tassels reaching for the sky!

I saw beauty in the gamboling of a newborn baby calf,
And the antics of squealing piglets that really made me laugh!
I caressed fluffy yellow baby chicks with my innocent paws.
(The threat of the fussy mother hens rarely gave me pause!)

I had the joy of capturing elusive lightning bugs on languid summer nights,
And delighted at the awesome beauty of the eerie Northern Lights!
I saw beautiful displays of lightning as it flashed across the prairies,
And from afar saw magnificent golden eagles preening in their aeries!

I gently caressed the beautiful peonies that my Mother grew,
And inhaled the fragrance of her roses glistening in the morning dew.
Though I'm in the autumn of life, in all things beautiful and bright
That The Creator in his munificence has provided, I still take delight!

Drops of Nature

From the trees of life, of the great green mother earth
To the free birds of the blue, father sky years of birth.
Nature’s true colors, are the beauty of something great
If you can not see the true colors, for you it’ll be too late.

Water as clear as diamonds, is a sign of its purity
The moon at its fullest, to be the sign of humanity.
Fish as happy as the others, jumping up really high
Birds as free as any other, flying fast in the sky.

This beauty we call nature, isn’t really beautiful till we see
The colors that we may miss, for its core that stands to be.
Drops of water from the wet full sky, I can here it said to rain
Age upon the strongest tree, from this I have made my cane.

Nature being life, for the past present and future
Age has no affect, on the timeless beautiful nature.
Nature's snow is as white, as beautiful birch trees
Seeing a clear view, of the setting sun over the seas.

What we are calling the ocean, full of the depthful water
This liquid now a mist, was once mother earth's daughter.
Nature’s flashing son, now brewing a deadly storm
It’s considered ice cold, it’ll never be dry and warm.

Drops of water filled icicles, becoming a welcoming present
The beauty of unknown weather, sometimes not so pleasant.
Beautiful Drops of nature, I will tell you what I want to say
No matter what is to come, it will always be here to stay.

A CASTLE HEARTSTONE MYSTERY

A beautiful girl was born
In secret...
On a spring night
Just before dawn

A girl, so fair
A girl, so pretty
Your heart would melt

As she grew
Everything she touched
She loved too
The inner peace
Made people turn and sigh

In the depths of the Castle
She was kept secret
For the mother knew
The humilation and pain too

For the child,
a father was not known
For the mother,
she carried the secret
In her aching heart
On her face, the pain shown

The father, so they say
Handsome and charming
Took her heart
Took her love
Then went away

A girl, so fair
As beautiful as the day
Often wondered
Of the man
Who took her mothers'
heart away

Her mother in despair,
died
A broken heart
No one could repair

The girl,
such sorrow
Yet everything
She touched
She loved too

A girl, so fair
Accepted with innate grace
the loss
She could bare
Serenity , upon her face

Abeautiful child
Bcame a woman
Eerything she touched
Se loved too

On a spring night
Se must find
Te man who helped bring her ,
in to this world
Eerything she touched
Bcame light

Se sensed he was near...
Smething in the wind showing
Whose ripples she could hear
Her fair hair, blowing

A fair wind came
Warm and sweet
from the South
A Prince to meet

A South Wind Prince confessed
A daughter to love
A girl, so fair
Everything she touched,
was blessed

A tale of love spurned
A mothers' despair
A daughters' love returned
A girl, so fair
Averything she touched
She loved too
With a heart,
Carried in you

Sacrificing

Looking through old photo boxes
I happen to trip upon
High School memories of my Mother
Resound off the walls, faded edges
Finger printed memoirs sigh between the creases
Of the emerald green sofa
Laughing, fashionable, full of vitality
Mother to me, was
A friend, a mentor, a lover, to somebody else
Seeing how she had a life, before this family

I felt the pregnant tears start to fall
Each weighing about 6 pounds or so
8 ounces, ten fingers, ten toes
Perfect forms of some sort of therapeutic
Amends for a mistake made years ago
Taking a solitary race down my face
But I never cry
I get this kind of strength from my Mom

How is it that I don’t even know who you are?

Standing in front of the sink
Washing crusty dishes and wiping off crude recollections
On windows, what is really behind,
Those beautiful slanted eyes
I see in those photos?

The All American Dreamer
A photographer
Capturing moments in a single shot
Of insight, imagining her
Tiny frame spending hours in the developing room
Crimson passion running, igniting, illuminating her face
Dripping, re-dipping negatives, cutting and pasting
To make the world just a bit more beautiful
A touch more understanding
An image to make us human

How could she sacrifice everything?

For a bundle now grown and barely appreciating
Her surrender of a perfect dream, such ambition
Why did she accept being pregnant at 18 years old
With a wide open road and an never ending horizon
Car packed, engine on blasting her favorite Madonna song
Instead she turned around and walked toward
Home, with a baby in her stomach, returning her rose colored aviator glasses
For reality tinted ones

Sacrificing one life for another

She turned around to
Work a 9 to 5 job on minimum wage,
She turned around to
come home to
Such an ungrateful child

Mother, Unaccounted for, beautiful soul
Stuns me with radiance, such sweet
Abandon, selflessness,

I want to grow up to be just like her

Forever-Part 1

Out on the beach with an amazing guy. The sun's so pretty, the sun's so bright. We're walking and talking about all our good times, against the world, hand in hand. Smiling and walking on the beautiful LA sand. We sit on a bolder and watch the sun set. It's an amazing day, one I will never forget. You slip your arm around me as we as we look at the beautiful sea. "I love you," I say as we feel the cool evening breeze. "I love you too," you say and pull out a small black box. I look at you, smile, and my heart stops. You open the box to reveal a beautiful ring. "Will you marry me?" you ask as my eyes fill with tears and my heart starts to sing. My smile gets wider as I say "yes". You pull me close to your chest. I gently kiss you as a tear rolls down my cheek. You brush it away and smile at me. "I love you," I say one more time. "I love you to baby," you say as you smile, "now your deffinitly all mine."

Today's the day, the day that starts the rest of our life. The day you become my husband, the day I become your wife. The last time I saw you was last night. But I woke up to a beautiful sight. A bouque of beautiful red roses lie on your pillow with a note on top. "I love you," it says, "and I can't wait to see you." I smile and whisper "I love you too." I take a shower and walk down to the beach to see how much is done. I step onto the hot sand and I feel the hot sun. It's almost done so I start to head home. I need to here your voice so I call your phone. "Hey babe," you say, "is everything okay?" I tell you everythings fine, I just need to hear you. I tell you I love you. You tell me you love me too. You say you have to go but you'll see me soon. "Okay, I love you," I say and look at the clock, it's almost noon. "I love you too," you say and the line goes dead. I look in the mirror and put my hands on my head. I smile and start to get ready for tonight. The first night of m new life.

I take a look in the mirror one last time. Just to make sure my beautiful dress is fine. I walk down to the beach and wait by the gate. I fix my veil and look at my friend. "You look amazing," she says and puts some flowers in my hand. "Thanks," I say and smile. I can't wait to walk down the aisle.

Beautiful Hummingbird

September morning came
my beautiful little hummingbird
you must have known something
terrible was about to occur
Your life was about to be cut short….

That night I was at your side
my crying I was trying to hide
Seeing you in a helpless state
I knew you wouldn't be able to take
A vibrant and fiery person so full of life
Always willing to give and not take…

September morning I could no longer sleep
The night before I prayed my Lord your soul to take
My spirit was restless and no one's awake
I went for a drive my heart was about to break…

September morning you were all alone
As I sat in the car feeling something was wrong
my soul is in despair I can't be strong
Lord wake her and her life prolong...

September morning as I look back
You were with me that morning I felt your embrace
Your place in my heart I will never replace
Seeking my memory for the image of your face...

September morning as we looked for a special plot
suddenly a hummingbird hovered just above
giving us a sign this is were you will be laid to rest
Looking out my room all the hummingbirds hovered
offering comfort to a heart in darks cover…

September morning the Lord opened the gates
to a Beautiful Hummingbird like no other
This Beautiful Being is my Mother
never to be replaced by another.

The Mirror Which Forgot Her

My mother was beautiful when I was young.
In pictures she wore pearls.
I remember her putting on sky-blue eye shadow,
Even her eyebrows beautiful,
like the Arc de Triumphe.
And her ruby brooches,
And her stain glass blouses, rhinestones glinting on her silver shoes,
Hat plush with black feathers.

I loved dressing up in the Eve
Of her gowns,

so that I, too, could be beautiful.

II.

One day my mother cleared away all her Cinderella clothes,
the gauzes of her spring,
.
Her rubies were not rubies, she vanished from pictures.
The mirror forgot her, saying I was the beautiful one,
my face rising into hers, hers falling from mine.

III.

My mother carries her face through the world
Unphotographed, hook of spine crushing the softness inside her;
mother-and-fatherless, uncertain in her bones,
afraid of sidewalks, left turns, yellow lights;
body packed for the small
space of the future.
For a long time now, I have been the beautiful one,
My mother’s face in mine like a relic.
I hold the stick of her arm.
In her face the last energy of sunset, skin unanchored to the bone
that must have made her beautiful once, the girl from another century who looks/stares back
at me from pictures and who does not know me.
The one who wears apricots and powder yellows, standing on the overexposed grass
Of another century, next to the azaleas that have forgotten their pink.
It always seems to be Easter,
the radiant sky blanched white.
My mother who isn’t my mother yet, smiling at whoever is taking the picture,
Not knowing my face will rise from hers, hers fall from mine,
as she looks from the brightness into the future's
long darkness, when the world will never again flock,
like a dove,
to the soft nest of her face.

Moonlight Adventure

The beautiful day begins in the house.
At the end of it, all that’s left of it is the moon,
Shimmering in all the night’s light.
A door to another world opens.
The only movement is a page turning in a book.
Suddenly, without notice, an inconceivable object drops.

The thing jumps and twirls and once again drops.
A person from another time, the future, enters the large house.
The man, pacing back and forward, finally sends away the hovering book.
He magically transports it to the glistening moon.
Something like a black hole, a portal inexplicably opens.
The book vanishes in a fading yellow light.

The visitor sees something bright, a room full of light.
And inside, a piece of paper from the hands of a child drops.
The door of the room slightly, quietly opens.
A child and her grandmother are drawing and inscrutable house.
In a circle and a beam of inconceivable beauty appears the moon.
On the page, like the hovering object, once again, is the sight of a book.

The child explains that she has, many times that year, read the book.
But her grandmother slowly shows the girl the true “light”.
Now, the girl understands that she was wrong, and now appears the moon!
It comes closer and closer, and then, like a shooting star, down it drops.
The planet has gone down from the sky to have a conversation in the house.
The moon elegantly flies in, as large as an elephant, and its mouth opens.

And now all of the people come close together and a road opens.
The grandmother and child are guided by a rather large book.
In time, the home disappears; they have left the house.
The book vanishes, and all that leads them is a guiding light.
The key to a room, calmly, as if carried by the wind, drops.
“Come in and let’s have a talk,” says not a person, but a face in white, the moon.

The grandmother is surprised, for she is seeing the real, live moon.
A beautiful and long conversation through all the night opens.
Then as dawn arrives, blood-red, the tone of their voices drops.
Grandmother and child come out of the wonderful book.
Outside it is day, a new beginning, another lively light.
They walk o’er their field and talk till’ they reach the house.

In the morning, the otherworldly man leaves the house.
Also, he disappears in a now magnificent golden light.
That is the end; there are no more pages in this book.

Forever-Part 2

Pacabells cannon starts to play. The gates open and everyone looks my way. Beautiful black and red roses line the red carpet that leads to you. You look amazing tonight too. I look at my white dress as I step into the setting sun. The light catches the black sparkles and roses on my dress and makes me look beautiful, makes me feel like one. A black rose on this beautiful LA sand. A black rose that belongs to a wonderful man. I slowly walk down the aisle. I walk up to you and I smile. There's black and red roses on the alter and I get up ther. I can smell their sweet fregrance in the warm evening air. The paster starts as I look at you. You say you vouls and I say mine too. You say "I do," and I do the same too. You slip yet another beautiful ring on my finger and kiss me so sweetly. We hold hands and walk back down the beautiful rose lined aisle.

We walk to the peir where there are beautiful lights hung up everywhere. I spin to look at the beauty and you lean in close to me and say, "wait here." You walk up to the DJ and request and smile as a familure tune comes on. I continue to smile and I take your hand. you walk me back out onto the beautiful sand. "Our first dance," you say. My smile gets bigger when I here Amazed starts to play. You pull me closer to you as we start to move from side to side. My nourvousness is hard to hide. "You okay beautiful?" you ask softly as you gently run your hand through my hair. "Yeah baby, I'm fine," I say as I see people gather around and stare. We dance and we sway sweetly and quietly. We kiss and dance slowly. We kiss again and you start to sing along with the song. I've been waiting for this day, I've been waiting so long.

We'r walking on the beach again. hand in hand. you still in your tux, I'm still in my dress. This is our future. Together. Forever. The setting sun catches my ring. It shines brightly. "I love you," I say and we kiss again. "I love you too," you say and gently pick me up.

You carry me back up to the house. You carry me up sairs and lay me on our bed. You lay beside me and gently kiss my head.

We lay there and talk for hours and hours. We smile and laughas our future stretches on in front of us.

The Rocking Chair

She could sit in that chair for hours
Just rocking the day away
How many kids has she rocked asleep
To its hypnotizing sway

The stories she told held us captive
It's where she read the bible each night
She's always say a prayer with us
Before telling us all to sleep tight

That's where she did her knitting
While quietly humming a hymn
Watching the beautiful sunsets
As the evening skies grew dim

But today that chair sits empty
For my grandmother has passed away
There's no more beautiful sunsets
Or listening while she'd pray

Life for me, has not been the same
For she is no longer there
And how I miss, the good times we had
Around my grandmother's, rocking chair

Strong Mother

Growing up in a house full of abuse My father beating my mother everytime he taste the juice. Destroying her beauty and taking her pride I remember each night that my mother cried, but my God brought her through, I couldn't ask for another My beautiful black queen, my strong black mother. A fist to the stomach,a slap in the face woman you better stay in your place Don't you know I love you, don't make me hit you again Wash my clothes, fix my dinner and bring me my juice and gin. My God brought her through, I couldn't ask for another my beautiful black queen, my strong black mother. Strong mother, that's her title, I wouldn't dare ask for another My beautiful black queen, my strong black mother.

The Joy of a Beautiful Baby Boy

You Now have your beautiful baby boy,who
fills your hearts with joy.
He is you beautiful baby boy, you give all the love
in the world to him as he is more precious to you
than life itself, you will treasure your beautiful
baby boy forever.

He brings delight to our sight to see your beautiful baby boy
you love and cherish him and care always for him and him alone.
You will be the bestest parents this I know as you have so much to

You beautiful baby boy Ryan is his name and he has everything to gain
as he is your main priority he is your special baby boy who will

Mona Lisa Mother's Day

God's blessings for mothers,
To have their relatives and loved ones near,
The blue sky and the beautiful trees,
The sound of songbirds singing their song,
Friends that keep us company,
The miracles that guide us everyday,
A quiet day of thankfulness,
Many beautiful memories through the years,
Guided by God and the ten commandments.
The miracle of education that enhances our lives.
A church that is harmonious and forever.

I love mother India

I love mother India......

From top of the mountain Himalayas
down to the Indian ocean, mother
India is known as heavenly blessed country in the world.
She is always looks a most beautiful
country on earth while nature hugs her.
Her mountains are covered with beautiful flora
while beautiful fauna walk freely in the jungle
Her valleys are flowing with water from heaven
and roll down to the ocean which is picturesque blue.
Her citizens are friendly, kind and hospitable and never
fail to show their love and faith to foreign visitors
Years have been passed but her cultural and traditional values
are still alive as was during golden days.
Eminent professionals are building her to the top of the world
while her hands are stretched to accommodate any refugees
Her love and affections reflects in Taj Mahal
Her Scientist makes her proud by technological inventions
She is a great mother on this earth who loves and cares for her people
in return her people showing their faith and love to mother India

Sundays with Eli

Every Sunday we set time aside to hang out together

Just him and I...

We are the best buds in the whole wide world

And when my son drops him off at my front door I remember why

He thinks I am the greatest thing next to sliced warm apple pie

He thinks I am the greatest opera singer

And I am the best dancer too

Today we hopped around to some crazy tunes

The Beach Boys and some other oldies but goodies

This afternoon I sang him Bible songs and taught him

How to equally slobber on both shoulders

He is my golden ray of sunshine--My Elijah!

I think of him often

I rehearse what songs I will sing to him

I even write him into the story lines of my upcoming prose

Oh you should see his rounded pink nose!

He coos and he giggles

And when we lay down for a nap he wiggles and wiggles

Til he finds the perfect spot under my arm

I love being a grandma

And I love our Sundays together

Eli and lola--best friends forever!

A Fawns Miracle

It is hunting season in the mist of beauty and delight
In the thick of the trees, sounds of shooting, deer run in fright
Some grow weak are taken by man
Others search for safety somewhere in their land

A little fawn tumbles in fear, mother lost to the hunters dance
Not knowing where to go, suddenly, a light from his side way glance
He stumbles up on his feet, so confused, sadden and in fear
Heads toward the light with wonder, unaware of what is near

Hope in his little heart as he runs into a horrible surprise
Headlights in his face, breaks squeal, to his near demise
As he opens his heavy eyes, breathless and so unaware
Unable to move he shivers, to taillights of someone who cares

This angel who was approaching the near dead fawn
Was speaking to him with a soft voice as she put him on the lawn
She spoke to him with love, made him feel so safe
Hold on there beautiful baby I will help you find your place

He could feel his heartbeat grow weak as she stroked his little head
With tears in her eyes she spoke to God, this is what she said
Please lord it is my desire to save your wonderful creation
Give him breath, heal him please, it is not his destination

Her tears fell on his face, warmth he could feel once more
His breath along with his heartbeat, strong like it was before
Strength was back in him, to his feet he did arise
He kissed the beautiful angel, for she saved him from demise

He headed for the woods, then suddenly he veered
He turned to look again, the angel disappeared
Saddened once more alone again was he
The horrifying noises gone, now silence, how could this be

He entered in the woods his mother alive, back on her feet
Happily he trotted to her, his heart just skipped a beat
Not only did the angel save him, from something bad
But all was back to normal in his home with mom and dad!!

Forever-Part 3

We get off the plane and smell the lovely air. Hawaii. One of the most beautiful places. I look at you and smile. "This place is beautiful," I say, spinning around. "Yes, it is," you say and pull me close. "I love you," I say. I love you too," you say and kiss me. Hand in hand we walk into the setting sun.

The sun's poking through the shades in our room. "Good morning beautiful," you say when I open my eyes. "Good morning," I say and smile. "I've got a surprise for you," you say and smile. I look at you questionably. "Just get dressed and I'll show you." "Okay."

You take my hand and lead me down to the beach. "I heard you've always wanted to do this," you say and smile. You point to two goals. My face lights up. "Sand soccer," I say happily and look at you. You kiss me and smile, "I figured you'd like it." We walk down to the two goals and we'r e put on a team. We play for hours and hours.

When the game is over, we sit on the sand by the shore. "That was fun," I say and look at you. "Yeah, it was," you say and lean in and kiss me. "I love you," I say as you warp your arms around me. "I love you too," you say and smile. We watch the sun set on the beautiful sea before we head back to our room.

The next day we surf. We surf for hours. "This is great baby," you say as we sit on our boards. "Yeah," I say and smle, "you must really like doing this," I say and brush a srand of hair from your face. "Yes," you say and you lean in and kiss me.

Baby Thoughts

            Baby Thoughts

Hugs are babies’ first official language
Followed by triangles, circles, with assorted symbols
Infants pay special attention to white pillows and quilts
Sleep is always on their minds
Flowing over yellow ribbons of light and energy
Babies contemplate squares and rectangles lifted from the fog
They think about animals as fury toys and perceive them thusly
Images come slowly and they focus on shiny things
They feel their tiny fingers and toes to stay in touch
Letters and numbers are foreign to them now
Yet they understand some things about them in their world
Pink and white dreams of billowy clouds bounce by
They think to take this ride a lot
Streams of life with limited visibility color in the blurs
Shapes of things to come take form in these meanderings
They know two mountains warm with riches wait for them
Breasts filled with vitamins and milk
They cling to these mounds for nourishment
They rest their heads and think goo goo gaa gaa
It is the foundation of a doctoral dissertation later in life
While mothers voice flows over them like thick warm honey
Babies think of deeper sleep

Divine Intervention

Beautiful little girl
Devastatingly beautiful
The birds would start chirping when she walked past
Her mother’s daughter they all said
A mirror image

And suddenly she was shocked by love
5 years old being undressed like a doll
Caressed and bathed so lovingly
Such gentle touches
That no one suspected

Mother found a new piece to her heart
Wedding bells chimed
And a new father was born
5 years old she was…just 5

This beautiful little girl found love in her “new” father’s arms
He held her close, sometimes too close
But no one suspected
She didn’t know this love was pain wearing a mask
She learned that love was…
Shielded from the eyes of her mother
Night visits to her room from her father
Year after year
For 15 years this was the love she knew

She felt invaded, alone and abused
She told her mother
About her new father…the man her mother loved
She didn’t acknowledge, wouldn’t bring herself to see
What the water so clearly replayed in her view
The mother knew, just knew
That her husband would, couldn’t ever
Never…bring pain to his daughter, never

Little girl, what does it feel like to be loved?
It feels warm, and wrong but gentle
Strong hands unclothing you
Caressing your body as if you are a grown woman
With a glorified body to worshipped and pillaged over
Little girl, what does pain feel like?
Closed doors…darkness…my father…naked
Hopeless

Beautiful little girl
Devastatingly beautiful
Pain paraded as love
Molestation masked for discipline
When your daughter cries out
When she cowers in corners
And doesn’t trust the dark
When she says love is just another word
Just another synonym to let him abuse her
Trust what she has to say…

I was that beautiful little girl and now I am a woman plagued with fears
Some nightmares you cannot outrun
And some memories only God can wipe away
The blood of all my pain is on my mother’s hands
"I forgive you"
Beautiful they say…
It’s a mask for something more

You Never Deserved Me

To the person who gave me life, nothing less, nothing more

As a child I remember being filthy and left isolated, all alone
Left at the age of seven, not knowing if you’d ever come home

Caring all alone for baby sister, while you ran endlessly all about
Feeding, bathing and taking care of her, listening to her constant shouts

Your commitment was your drugs; let’s not forget the alcohol too
Stammering in all times of the night; an addictive abusive person I
watched you grow into

Looking back I never thought that this life was not extraordinaire
But as I matured and saw the norm;
I realized my life was nothing but despair

Never caring for either of us, just your greedy selfish self
Shooting your heroin and drinking your booze,
Which sat upon your shelf

Taking all our money, spending it on your addictions day and night
Living off ramen noodles, our survival was an endless fight

After years of suffering from your abuse and your manipulating lies
They finally saw your negligence, taking us away ending all ties

Now we’re with our father, and his new beautiful stranger bride
Trust we cannot give to her, for all we’ve ever known has died

Time it did not take for us, to open up and see
That the new beautiful woman bound to care for us,
Was as genuine as one could be

She opened her home and her heart and treated us as her own
She opened our eyes and broke the hard outer wall,
Never do we feel alone

She has given me more love in the past four years
Than you have your entire life-time on this earth,
It’s sad that a woman of only four years,
was the one who taught me self-worth

You are the woman you gave me life,
Nothing more and nothing less
You never deserved me or my little sister
Our mom now has replaced your selfishness

These are my daugther Chelsea's words about her biological mother. I took
them and helped her write the poem at her request. It's very sad and the damage
her "biological mother" has done to her and her sister is un-repairable....Chelsea
has had to be in counseling every since we've had her and I have taught her to
have a voice and if needed, put her thoughts down on paper. She's absolutely
beautiful and amazingly charismatic. She's strong and very responsible and
dedicated...not only to our family, but to life. Both of them were "my gift from God",
and I will cherish this gift forever.

Wednesday The 27th

Not happy
not unhappy
not satisfied
not unfulfilled
being a cancer makes me susceptible to the energy that surrounds me
it also makes me aware of my downfalls
i am a baptist but hardly pray
i am a Christian but don't remember the last time i sat through a service
I am a mother yet have not given birth
yet i carry too many sins to burden my father with
the sins of my mother have followed me
no she ain't no addict
no she ain't a hoe
she aint nothing but a woman who loves too much
i am of my mothers breast
i am of my mothers worst and her best
i am part my father yet my mother does not care to realize
i am a hustla
not cause i need to be but because i can
i am a bitcc not cause i mean to be
but to be a bitcc is bitter sweet
I am a beautiful woman
yet only skin deep
i have made grown men absolutely weak
i am not a savior
if i was i would have been there when Katrina hit
built a boat bigger than noahs ark and sailed out of that place
but it wouldn't have been free of charge
because to whom much is given
much is required
I would have been there when Sean Taylor got shot
to be blunt i would have let him get hit but not at his life's expense
not at the cost of his daughter living a probable legacy of "absentee daddy"
or growing up only knowing her fathers past as a man who just started turning his life around
not at the sheer belief that anything he did in his past deserved what caused that breath
to be his last
now see i'm no savior
cause i would have had the tongue
to talk those 9 eleven high-jack asses into jumping "in the name of Allah"
these are my thoughts
opinions are like assholes
that brings me to Kanye West
i don't know that brother
And confidence doesn't mean arrogance
but-shouldn't he have regurgitated the lessons of beauty he was taught
back to the person who taught them to him
A beautiful intelligent talented creative human life lost
fame was the cost
some times smart people do dumb things
sometimes i don't recognize my own blessings
sometimes i forget to say thank you to my guardian angel
sometimes i don't listen
I just speak

A Weathered Tree

Two beautiful trees on a hill that died

Two beautiful trees for whom I cried

They weathered the seasons through the years

They stood the test of time

And weathered all the storms just fine

When our life is none

And our time on earth is done

When we have stood the test of time

Like the trees we weathered just fine.

Mother and Dad

Mother was a beautiful soul. I miss her so.
Mother was a beautiful woman and girl, go
On and on I could. I would but there's Dad.
Most of the time he was happy, sometimes sad.
His big belly would belly laugh, grinning ear to ear.
I hear his booming voice still in the still of night tears.
Creeping out of house, quiet as a church mouse
To walk and talk with friends. Coming into house
One night, Dad offered to make me some pancakes.
He thought I had insomnia. I didn't corrrect his mistake.
Mother let me walk around the block smoking my cigarette.
Been doing it for forty-three years without any regret.
Mother would hide in the kitchen pantry to be funny.
She lived in Jacksonville, Florida - so warm and sunny.
She'd cook the most wonderful buffet dinners.
She was no sinner. Just a winner. My dad too.
He taught me how to tie my shoes and beat the blues.
He taught me how to tell time and do chores for a dime.
Childhood was a wonderful time for me. I was freedom.
Kingdom comes, wonderful things come to those who wait.
At the Golden Gate I will see Saint Peter, Jesus and God.
My body is bread, my blood is wine. No shrine have I built.
I have sinned. I have grinned. My life is without any guilt.
One brother was born of my Mother and Dad. I'm glad
I had the chance to love him with all my heart before he
Passed on. He's with Mother and Dad now. I'm still me.
A new family with kids and grandkids, a husband, father.
On my new journey now, I will go ever farther and farther.

A Mother's Love

Your gentle touch, your kindness and care
Has made me the woman whom I am today
Unconditional love, beauty and charm
My mother, my best friend though near or far

Strong and committed and full of Heavenly bliss
This beautiful woman will make your heart miss
She has a demeanor like none I’ve ever known
With this beautiful woman, you will never feel alone

Passion and pride, honor and grace
My mother, my best friend I will forever embrace
Her guidance and faithfulness is something to bestow
For this beautiful woman will set your heart a glow

I love you mom, forever and endlessly
And I thank you for your patience, your guidance
And your never ending pleasantries

When I look at you in depth, all I see is me
For the woman you are, that woman is thee
How proud I am to call you my “mom”
My mother, my best friend, always to you my heart belongs

" Drunkin Tears "

She said he wants to take her baby,
Sitting in the hospital till five am.
Crying her beautiful brown eye's out,
But doctors would pay no attention.
Doctor's said we couldn't go in,
They had to keep her over night.
Feeling so heartbroken seeing her ly there,
Praying to God please let her be alright.
Being so caught up on ecstacy,
Feeling like there's not much i can do.
Feeling helpless that i can't reach out to you,
That i couldn't be by your side to protect you.
I told her don't cry,
   She's a good mother he see's.
That the stuff he's put you through,
The parent you are he can't compete.
We'll fight because what we feel is right,
Were very strong and still surviving.
We love and we love with all our hearts,
We see a problem were quick to recognize it.
We've been through hell and back,
But us women will never give up.
Cause well fight now and we will later,
That's why for us women we have respect and love.
No mama no one said it was easy,
An angel fell out of the sky and named her Elizabeth.
Blessed her with so many talent's,
   Giving her unconditional love within.
A rare and beautiful blessing,
A women who's corazon is as golden as heavens gates.
A women who would give to the whole world,
And not ask to give back what she gives or takes.
An independant strong surviving mother of more then five,
Who can touch your heart with just a lullaby.

Sharing the world to make sure your ok,
Was that shoulder for anyone to cry.
Lent her sympethetic ear to listen,
   Craves to better everyone around.
Successful in everything she does,
Today on that day my angel was found.

Open at the Seams

My mother made a dress for me it was beautiful and bright.
She told me to wear it well and rather ladylike.
Little did mamma know the weak seam could pull though,
sometimes threadbare at the sleeves and a little more old than new.
With needle in hand I would try to hide the ragged spaces.
where my slip would show in what were the most awkward places.

Many hours did I spend on the tiniest details to repair,
So there would not be whispers and penetrating stares.

Constantly examining this dress so that my hem would not show,
nor did I want others to see a tattered slip that lay below.
Merrily did I sow away as hem-by hem did rip.
But holes showed too quickly I could no longer hide my slip/

Only a few times have these seams outrun my threaded needle.
where everything was exposed to a slip that was rather feeble.

Use safety pins and liquid stitch to hold the seams together tight,
for this dress my mother made me was once beautiful and bright.

Now, the patchwork that used on this threadbare dress
has come apart once again because it could not handle stress.

So long as I am occupied with needle pulling thread
the darkness of my emotions stays deep inside my head.

the shadows lurk in corners around the bodice and the nape;
only seeping outward when I am busied with other gapes.

So like a cloak around me the darkness becomes a shroud,
weakness loosens the seams of this dress I once wore tall and proud.

Someone once said this mind was the type of with men dreamed;
only if they knew how easily it came apart at unraveling seams.

Jayden Makieh Kelly (Part 8)

Jayden Makieh Kelly

Your skin was so smooth and shined bright like the rays of the glimmering sunlight. Your hair was soft and reminded me of black velvet that protected your small, perfect head. Oh how beautiful is mommy’s precious man she had! The contour of your head, your chinky eyes, from the length of your fingers and toes, to the bridge of your nose, are all matches of your dad’s. Your physical qualities from me are rare. However, I definitely see see my bottom lip, roundness in your nose, and my stubborn attitude there. A little later you were weighed and measured as the air was filled with your cry, those shrilling, delightful, pleasing sounds. As you lay there it was determined that you were twenty inches long, six pounds and thirteen ounces. Snap, snap, snap I even had a picture taken of that. I didn’t want to miss anything that was happening, I wanted every detail of that day. I even got a picture of the placenta, they thought I was crazy, but I had to have it my way. Your aunt Tisha was supposed to be there for your delivery. But, by the time they got back the nurses were about to move me. We got moved over to another unit called mother-baby and our room number was twenty-nine. Everyone was so eager to see you and hold you for the first time. Our hospital stay was very pleasing. People came and spent time to come to see you and me. The nurses and doctors were very helpful, caring, and nice. The only part I didn’t like was them coming in throughout the night. Whenever I would get sleepy I would send you to the nursery at night so I could get some rest. But, the times when they would bring you back in the mornings with me again were the best. I couldn’t wait to be reunited with you. Even being without you for ten minutes had my mind flooded with thoughts of being back with you. On the eighteenth is when we were discharged from the hospital to come home and I was glad to see the outside. The day was very cold and windy, but you made me feel extremely warm inside. Jayden, beautiful child of mine, you are mommy’s little sunshine.

"A Woman Eyes " by Joseph Goodwill

If you take a moment to look deep inside a woman's eyes you can see the
window to her soul. You can see her joy and her pain; her hopes and her
dreams. She may never say a word but her eyes can tell a whole story. I know
because I have had the pleasure to know many beautiful and wonderful women
in my life. But 6 women changed my life along with Christ. They were my
mother, my grandmother, my two aunts, my cousin's wife, and my beautiful wife.
When I look into their eyes I saw where I came from, where I am now and where I
am headed. The man I have become I owe to God. The way I treat a woman I
owe to my mother. A woman is a daughter, a sister, a mother, a wife, and that is
just for starters. You can find her at church, you can find her in the community,
you can find her being a nurse to a child's wounds, and you can find her being a
rock to her husband when the world is knocking him down. And after all of that
she is still a woman in every sense of the word. I know man is the head of the
house and God is its foundation but a woman is its CEO; Chief Everything
Officer. My mother is no longer here on earth with me but if I want to see what
she stood for all I have to do is look into a woman's eyes. I don't only want to say
thank you to the women who changed my life but thank you to all women for with
God and you everything is possible.

Kayla Lynn

I knew of a beautiful angel; Kayla Lynn was her name
A precious gift from heaven; irreplaceable she became
Silky blonde hair in ringlets; eyes as blue as an oceans view
Kayla embraced life as always; while others had no clue

No clue to the disease consuming her; weakening her every day
Leukemia ravishing her tiny body, while others simply looked away
Showered with love and kisses, her mother always there for her
Praying wishing endlessly for the vicious disease never to recur

Poking and prodding daily; her moral is starting to fade
A sweet innocent child just five years old; painfully becoming afraid
Her mother constant at her bedside, trying to comfort her at ease
Bowing her head in silence as she gets down upon her knees

An unspoken prayer she begins to recite, over and over again
Begging the Lord to spare her child, ending with a somber subtle Amen
Looking up at her daughter who’s still vibrant and somewhat care free
Hoping wishing praying for the lord to heal her and instead take me

But the Lord had a special plan for Kayla; one filled with Heavenly Bliss
And one silent night he sent his angels for his child of sweet reminisce
Tearful, crying and heartbroken for our Kayla Lynn was to be no more
Wondering, “Why this beautiful child and what was the purpose for?”

Then it dawned upon us as we mournfully tried to understand
The Lord needed her more than we did and this is to be as he planned
That day will come inevitably when we reunite again as one
Kayla we love and miss you so, but realize now that your life has only just begun

Mother Nature

The trees has bloomed, the birds

Singing and dancing,celebrating

The new found spring..

The aroma of witch hazel fills the

Air spaces..

The butterflies coming out of

Their cocoon

Parading there beauty while gliding

Along..

Feeding from the nectar, they find

In blooming blossoms that line

Every trail..

Blooming blossoms covering every

Bed, proud with elegance and grace,

Spring is a beautiful time of the year

Mother nature snaps her fingers

Twice..

The sun, the moon even the night

Changes for mother nature and the

Regeneration of nature children..

Let’s not put asunder Mother Nature

In all her beauty..

Yes, Yes,

Spring brings forth new life, and an array

Of tints, hues of colors..

Flowers are sprouting fillings the landscape

With a beautiful portrait of Mothers nature

Best...

Letting our hearts feel, our eyes see all the

Beauty within....

AND YOU ARE?

I'm a bold black woman and I'm as sexy as can be . I am one that will reach her
destiny; because I'm connected to the tree.

I'm a child of the most high God. I will beat the odds. Highs and lows, they should
come but I will overcome.

And You Are? The beautiful black woman, cute as can be.A woman that can
scream and shout. A woman that can spread her love all about.

And You Are? A beautiful black women. Phenomenally made. How can anyone
touch this spade? My beauty is inside out; and yes, this what Im all about.

And yes this what I'm all about. A beautiful black woman can't you see? I was
created to succeed, because I'm connected to the tree.

Beautiful I will be; beautiful, black woman for all to see. You are a woman, I am a
woman. This thing is beyond race, so let's set the pace.

And You Are?

A beautiful black woman with purpose and destiny

And You Are?
