Honestly stubbornly looking forward logically
A loyal humanistic individual does unpredictably
Having determination to stay friendly cemented
One rebels with aloof detachment though group-oriented
A new photograph floats to the surface
Playfully dressing up as the world around me
Hat, striped socks and all
Tiptoeing at the top for one last sweet moment
Before sinking back into my ocean mind.
One after another they arrive
Steeping my eyes in the world
As the minds shutter, ever fluttering
Strings together this conscious stream I play in.
My photographs fade in time’s wrinkled arms.
Joining their brothers and sisters at the ocean floor,
They hold hands and try to answer the question that is always asking itself:
Who am I?
A tribute to Ramana Maharshi, a man who has inspired me for forty years. a greaty Indian saint he was.....Peter
Who Am I?
Sometimes I ask the question “who Am I?”
Am I just this tiny speck put here by trust?
Just a puppet in the hands of destiny
To be blown within the wind just merely dust.
Then sometimes I’m aware of who I am
As I stand beside a lake or waterfall
As the music of the morning melts into me
And deep within that ancient whisper calls.
Well I ask myself this question
“Will I ever find the way?”
Ramana told me what to do
Said “Do it now, today!”
Oh such a little question one may ask
Does the answer come and blow the mind away?
Will the truth arise to set the bird to freedom?
If one asks this thing each minute of the day.
Judas betrayed Jesus’s whereabouts
End, was near
Son of God, knew this
Universe of the Son of the Divine Father, restored
Sins of man forgiven, Prince of our Universal domain, alive in the hearts of his children
Beauty of nature
Why condense it down to God?
Isn’t life enough?
Green bark a prism creates,
Feel the pull of earth, you must.
Rotates, a slime of endless hates,
Can hold me not, this world’s crust.
Friendship’s ties, isolation Deflates,
Succumbs, my spaceship, to bitter rust.
Mist, my soul forever permeates,
Lift-off, booms the rocket’s thrust.
My spirit when light returns, elates,
Swamps swell, swallowed hope’s swirling dust.
Trapped, I am, until student from fate
Arrives to learn; Cloud City or bust.
Yet he lets bad things happen
How can he exist?
I've watched the war from behind closed doors;
Eyes too glued to close.
And now knowing what's in store, there's porn no more.
God's love is the only hope we know.
We are forgiven because of the love that is Jesus.
We are saved because of the love that is Jesus.
We give our lives to the Father for we are His children and He loves us.
We are loved!
No matter what we've done, we are loved!
Confess and ask for forgiveness;
This is such a beautiful gift!
Thank You God!
Thank You Jesus!
You forgive me!
You save me!
You change me!
I am changed!
I am new!
I am renewed!
I am forgiven!
I am saved!
I am changed!
There's porn no more
For God's hope is in store!
There's porn no more
For God's love is the hope of the world!
God made all people
But some better than others?
Stop being silly.
The ambition that was given for mission
Methodically apply message from sky
A hard worker know they need no permission
They remain practical as time flies by
Arising at times their is pessimism
So cautiously they vie for self discipline
While still relying on expressionism
Patience from them is like the drug insulin
The body: sacred
We’re all made in God’s image
They praise me like a saint,
But I am a sinner;
They don't know the man they see.
I am an addict.
Broken eyes to pornography,
Only Jesus can set me free.
Only by His death on the cross
And the grace of His Father's love
Am I able to be set free.
With God as The Light,
The One and Only Light,
The Only Hope in sight,
Will I be set free.
I am free.
The confusing world of poetry
Clerihews, and couplets
Acrostics, and Haikus
Me head is spinning round and round
Oh Lord I’m so confused
I’d like to read about the stuff
But I really ain’t got time
I’m too busy trying to write
In rhythm and in rhyme
I never was so very clever
I flunked in all at school
I guess me dad, he got it right
He called me village fool
He tried to make me turn out clever
But he didn’t have a chance
Cause I’m a dreamer through and through
You can see that at first glance.
So I don’t know about complex things
I’m just a simple man
But me, I’ve wrote eight thousand songs
And I’ve done it cause I can
The words roll out like a waterfall
And they come just like they are
And I talk about love, and I talk about life
And the flowers and the stars.

I'll shine brighter than ever
when I find my way past my woes
the farther I wander
the more I shall know
that I'm a friend with consequences
and only one could let that go
He somehow convinced me
that I needed correction
now I know where I'm going
for I followed his directions
no more full of blaming
I point it right at my nose
and realize all my problems
are by no one else controlled
Will I ever shine
with a destiny, kind
I still have little meaning
but he is there with me, sometimes
when our doors have been locked up
for so many years
it feels good to have someone
come in my circle, share my fear
Everyone so full of hatred
afraid of letting us by
even when we're most broken
still a spark in our eye
you think that would tell them
that we just want to live life
to the fullest potential
that our dreams aren't denied
We talk of good and evil
agreed on right and wrong
tell tales of when we struggled
and what we did to be strong
as the world the he's seen
is darker than mine
I am less respected as a person
but I accept that, it's fine
for he talks to me like I'm worthy
and proud to be my friend
that's why I could never replace
all the treasured words of wisdom
he gave me like a story
of survival, rise and fall
though I am a friend with great consequences
I could never begin to replace him, at all
my personal Jesus, I see the great Messiah in him
I hope one day to inherit his good heart
to pass it on to some kid one day, struggling.
A clear view of the Arabian blue
I don’t ‘inch’ closer, I ‘mile’ ahead
In a relaxed cockpit, shared by two.
A proud teacher, my knowledge I spread
‘To fly they must have flown before’
Break this infinite loop; I choose instead
Let them learn, I don’t keep score.
Even if mistakes are made;
To make them like me, I will ignore.
The airstrip is small, a challenging glade.
Mangalore approaches, I flew from Dubai,
My fingers remain crossed, I am little afraid.
The plane crashes, sixty and hundred die.
I teach others rules. But rules - to me they don’t apply.

fated plane crash Air India Express Flight 812, on 22 May 2010.

The pang of absence and joy of joining
Filling the mind with thoughts of the one
Seeing the sun rise over the mountains
Or the field of flowers covered in morning dew
Patting the inflated belly of your pregnant spouse
And seeing the smile on the face of your child
Letting your pet curl up in your lap for some petting
And helping someone carry their bags to their car
Waking each day with a smile for the mirror
While saying hello to people that you meet
Being grateful to be alive and living so
Believing this day is worth the effort to try
Poisoning all efforts of Love to enter from fear
Accusing eyes denying entrance of remembered pain
So much to embrace in so many ways, in every day
And it is built into all of us, God’s gift, our teacher
Is nowhere. A flower is not hate, nor the sun, nor the child
Hate is learned, and if you hate, it may be time for a new teacher
I do not know?
The peacock with spread-out plume,
Dances to Nature's tune,
The sun's fadeless glow,
The monsoon's rainbow,
Isn't our Nature,
The preaches of the priests,
They themselves don't practice!
The teachers teach,
A mere printed speech!
Mother Nature expresses,
What she really is!
Nature is wiser than the wisest----
Of the Nobel-laureates.
Read no books,
Experience how Nature looks!
She is a better teacher,
Than a priest or a schoolmaster!!
(In Indian subcontinent the
verb 'preach' is many a times
used as 'noun'.)
Babies remind you you’re you,
Be yourself—someone to grasp—
Eyes pried to learn through sight
Lips sealed to silence spite
Doors closed from everyone
This is the light without the sun
The angry child will come of age
In bitterness he counts his days
Through memories he feeds the rage
This man was built in disarray
The fallen son exists in death
In emptiness he finds regret
Through pain he finds he must not forget
He crawls away to catch his breath
The lone man exists for peace
In silence he holds the keys
Through self he sees eternity
But the black hole within can not be free
The wise man will let it go
In solitude he’s learnt to grow
Through loneliness he finds the flow
The debt is paid, but he’ll always know
Dark days and disrepair
The end to life is without care
The door will open if we wait
Without the sun there’s still our faith
