Barefoot Boy, with a Fishing Pole.

A man I am and near my end.
I have other men to call me friend.

And women round me for the lust
And four leaf clover for the luck.

Beer or buttermilk to drink
And time I have to sit and think.

I have meadows which to mow
And I have crops which to sow.

I have men that call me sir.
I have work to be concerned.

I have obligations piled.
Work to do from mile to mile.

I'd trade it all, to be, you know
A barefoot boy, with a fishing pole.

To rest in the shade by a river bed
Soft grass to lay my youthful head.

Fish and skip stones on waters calm
And sleep out all night -when it's warm.

To unravel natures mystery there
Why the turtle wears a shell?

How the Oriole's nest is hung?
How the frog's croak is sung?

Why the Blue-Bell does not ring?
Why the hornet likes to sting?

My work keeps me shod like a mule
Only in dreams, youthful things I do.

When work here ends, to Heaven I go
To be a barefoot boy, with a fishing pole.

'...and then the lighting of the lamps.'
                                    -T.S. Eliot

Swallows flit and dart, the glow of evening
   settles o'er the fields, the day is fading;
sunset gilds the sky with glorious luster,
vibrant reds and golds, and softer shading.
Lamps are lit, the countryside is flickering
   in candlelight, the cows are coming home;
peacefulness descends in waves of twilight,
the animals are safe, no need to roam.
Horses tethered to their posts are waiting
   for the exertions of the day ahead;
farmers partake, extinguish their candles
to darkness, and then take themselves to bed
to pray for courage to endure their toil,
for days they spend in harness to the soil.

HONOURABLE NATTY DREAD

FROM OUT OF THIS EARTH, IN EVERY GENERATION
MUST ARISE A MIGHTY PROPHET...
SO DON'T YOU HAVE NO FEAR, YOU HAVE DONE YOUR SHARE, YOU ARE THE HONOURABLE
NATTY DREAD.

YOU BROUGHT US OUT FROM IGNORANCE,
AND FOR THIS WE WILL THANK YOU HONESTLY.
ALTHOUGH WE KNOW THAT IT WAS WRITTEN IN THE BIBLE THAT MANY WOULD BE
CALLED,BUT ONLY FEW OF THEM WOULD BE CHOOSEN.

ROBERT NESTA MARLEY, HE LIVED HIS LIFE FOR WE.
AND NOW WE HAVE GROWN, WE ARE THE SEEDS HE HAS SHOW, TILLED BY HIS IMPERIAL
MAGESTY.
OH BROTHER BOB YOU WERE ONE.
YOU WORKED FROM DAWN TILL DAWN.
NOW IN THE PHYSICAL YOU HAVWE GONE, BUT IN THE SPIRIT YOU WILL CARRY ON,
THE WORKS OF MARCUS GARVEY.(CHORUS)

NOW BOB ARISE,
OPEN THY EYES.
BECAUSE WE WANT YOU TO KNOW, I 'n' I HAVE DISCOVERED YOUR FOE,
TRAMPLED BENEATH THY FEET.

SO IF YOUR TRODDING IN A STREET,
OR IN A HIGH MOUNTAIN.
DON'T YOU HAVE NO SHAME,
REGGAE MUSIC HAS BROUGHT YOU FAME,
YOU ARE THE HONOURABLE NATTY DREAD.

Teacher

Why, why, why? Is all I ask
Do you send these folk my way
There not the ones I'd choose myself
But I attract within hooray
You must have plans to work me Lord
Have I really gone astray

I try so hard to be polite
You send me those who groan
From trials of life
Crying painful body drones
But I face a war continually Lord
Spine crumbling pained bones

I questioned much over the years
Of those you sent my way
But each one has had effect on me
What will I have learned today
I want to tell of things you've done
And why I've learnt to pray

You sent me counseling to help
Through things wrong in my youth
Then church fellowship did help me through
When marriage went down sluice
A teacher friend taught me much
In assertiveness and truth

You sent me someone kind and true
When I'd thought life was gone
A friend of a friend a neighbors brother
Turned out to be the one
Who'd bring me home and settle again
Protect me and my two sons

You showed me work where I did learn
The skills to pull me through
In kitchens I did learn to cook
In schools help my children too
The staff within were pillars and rocks
In illness helped me do

You send others now to my house
Now I can't go out all alone
I used to sit and ponder sorry
I couldn't do things on my own
But now I have found new waters
I can swim and write a poem

I help others through my charity support
When I can get to phone
I can help in ways that others cant
And control load with able zone
I listen to those there struggling
Look at positives not moan

So I'm thankful for those folk you sent
Though I don't understand your process
But each time one has helped me to
Understand and cope it's noticed
So send someone to help I'll pray
And I'll listen as perfect hostess

Author's notes

Okay, so I realize as it stands it needs tweaking, but at the time the pen flowed and now it
needs some TLC... any ideas welcome, although I do not want to detract from the
meaning/depth. Any idea of rhyme was not originally intentional so please forgive I know at
present its dreadful!! Help please?

CREATION IS THE WORK OF THE ETERNAL

Things shrouded in mystery
are quickly discarded
and simply not believed;
this false-hood staggers me
and others unjustifying them...
While knowledge increases,
faith,once invincible,decreases...
with only few to defend it!

Creation is the work of the Eternal,
everything testifies to that;
convinctions should be concrete,
not implausible and superficial...
They should be credible enough
to attribute it to His almighty hand
and anyone disapproving it,
denies it...by calling it a myth!

O world so careless and rebellious...
indulging in sin without remorse,
you refuse to believe in a real God
who doesn't hide from anybody who seeks Him;
and He can end anguish and shame!
O world so preoccupied with wealth and galore,
this madness can cause you more harm than good;
He who created you has greater plans in store!

Creation is the work of the Eternal,
the entire Universe will be yours to explore;
and you'll be given dominion over it always...
and if angels are higher than you...fear not,
because you'll be rule over them...God
has predestined you to greatness!

O world so merciless and intolerant of fairness,
break free of deception and selfishness,
there are no planets more beautiful than this,
the Earth was given to Man for freedom and bliss!

- YOU HEARD AND ANSWERED MY CRY -

A short time ago, my faith was not so strong
I just lived my life as well as I could
As time passed, it seemed as if I had less strength
And not enough faith to face the storms in my life

In trying to hold on, I realized I needed to cry out
To You, Heavenly Father, for more strength from above
I am so thankful You reached out to me with Your loving arms
And helped me work through my storms

As you held my hand, You guided me
You helped me smile through the darkness and the pain
Though there are many tears, my faith in You is growing stronger every day
As You make known to me Your will

I am weak, but You are strong
And I know with all my heart that You care for me
The storms may be rough, but I know they’re for my own good
That is how I grow

I will face many more storms in my life
But, oh, how I long to feel the joy and peace from above
I want to feel the very presence of my Heavenly Father
As You work in me, I wouldn’t have it any other way

Thank You, Heavenly Father
For being more than I need to face the storms in my life
Thank You for caring so much for me

Angelic Callings

Words on a page, sounds, Mother's calling
soft tones rose from leather tomes sweetly,
through rouged lips they tumble with love.
Lullabies call through the coldest of nights
as frost haloes about the curls, open-hearted,
eager, a child of contested love’s joining.

What would this chimera become now joined.
Oh what would be the result of this clarion call?
Angels wonder at the blend of unformed heart,
as words of Our Fathers resound so sweet
for the thrice kissed lips of child and overbearing night.
May all who come from the light delight in love.

May the child addressed bring comfort, bring love,
grow in service to the higher good and join
the wholesome hearts who warm the darkest night,
for bringing comfort, kindness, and caring is a calling,
which teaches every opened soul of sweetness
and heals the aching angry sores of forlorn hearts.

With words of joy, and a voice full of heart
let her hands touch, and sooth, each pain lovingly,
with the like-minded teachers and nurses sweetening
the balm smoothed upon the brow of man, enjoined
to heed the call, the ancient ever-present call
of majesty in morning and peaceful rest at night.

Each life presents its morning and ends in eternal night.
Each soul stores fonts of happiness and heartache.
Conception buds and blooms, sending out a clarion call
enjoining all who have the healing gift to garner love.
Gentle ones, who plant the seeds, tend the hearts join…
be the humble gardeners of the meek and sweet.

What task could be richer or path sweeter
than that of those who doctor, and nurse, and warm night?
Tender hearts and helping hands come together, join…
in the higher consciousness of he’s and she’s heartfelt.
Raise the banner; fly the unifying flag of healing love,
make this your onward path the Way, the Red Road your calling.

For what is sweeter day or night for each are joined,
heartily we love and live to heed these fine callings.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY EX-WIFE

Much had I planned for your day
Forgetting that own I alone past days
Control of all time lies in His way
As the hidden future reveals by today
Then I know we are used to act His play
God alone make way
Even if we work till May
Glory of our work depends on His may
Best I wish you in your day
The best of life with you stay
Long life in your tale
Peace of mind with you plays
Fulfilment is the price I pay
From the hollowness of my heart I pray

Jack and Jill

Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch some pails of water
Jack climbed some trees while Jill was picking some pretty flowers

After some hours Jack realized that he was wasting time
So he called Jill to hurry up before ‘tis half past nine

So off they went to continue their very long journey
‘Till they passed by an old beggar and gave him some money

When they both reached the well Jack and Jill filled up their buckets
Near the well were some berries which they put in their pockets

When they reached home their momma and papa were so happy
For dinner they had meatballs and soup and chicken curry

And five bags of bananas which a rich neighbor gave them
The good that you do to others will always be returned

God Has Made Everything Beautiful In His Time

“There is a time for each season…
To everything made…
There is a divine reason.

A time for purpose under
 the heavens above…
A time for meaning from a God of love.

A time to be born. A time to die…
A time to farm the ground
 under the beautiful sky.

A time to kill. A time to heal...
A time to tear down and
to build up with a passion and zeal

A time for weeping. A time for laughing…
A time to mourn. A time for dancing.

A time to keep...
A time to throw away.
A time to tear. A time to make amends today.

A time to get. A time for losing…
A time to keep. And to give
 away at our choosing.

A time for silence. A time to speak…
A time for each hour
 and day of the week.

A time for love. A time for hate…
A time for war. A time for peace at your gate.

How will you spend the time
 God has given to you?
What is your choice? What will you do???

May this be a time living in
God’s purpose and design.
He created you and made
everything beautiful in his time!

Have a Say

Knock wolf, I want you to lend me an ear.
I know, you are right there watching my side.
My temper you want, but it, I won’t tear.

Unlike you, I have learnt more than a slide.
All of which are not meant to ambush you,
But to strengthen me swims against the tide.

I am real, and I live on what is true.
The why, I can’t call black, purple or white.
And don't stand, thinking I haven’t a clue.

I am among souls begot by the Light.
Soul, when climb and fall, would double and rise.
Soul, that in the dark, would summon and bright.

Have you any hands with this soul, the bricks,
To build a wall, void of falsehoods and tricks.

THE EARTH

I can not help but wonder
When God created the earth
How did He think of all the things
It takes to make it work

I know God is God
And He knows all things
But the things I've been a witness to
How do they work I mean

The lava boils deep in the earth
Why does it need to leave
And when it does break through the crust
It becomes a volcano to us

It has destroyed all in its path
What of the hole it leaves behind
The cavity eventually caves in
And then the mountains do begin

Mean while the surface heals itself
The wind and rain step in
The soils that are blown and washed in
Help heal the scars again

What of the ash from the volcano
As it infiltrates the air
As it settles it brings death
Such as ASH FALL in Nebraska
Where the rhino's met their end

And what of the earth quakes
As the earth seems to shake in pain
The cracks that they leave behind
Form gullies and ravines

The oil, the gas, the silver, the gold
The floods, the tornados, the drouths, the cold
Fires caused by lightenings sting
Are all under Mother Natures wing

The animals before man's time
Lived and died as was designed
And still the earth went on and on
And healed it self from dusk to dawn

And now that man is here
It has to work harder
It is there to heal the wounds
That man seems to father

Then we have the food chain
Land and water both provide
And if man doesn't watch his step
Fathom waits outside

Now and then it does rebel
It gets the upper hand
Tornados, blizzards, hurricanes
Volcanos and desert sand

The scars the wars do leave
Mother Nature does her best
If only we'd learn to live in peace
She could take a rest

And all the stupid things man does
Like building homes along a high cliff
Then when Mother Nature does her thing
Bet you can guess who takes the blame

The heavens, the earth were made by God,
And for eons they did survive
Then God created man,
If they don't work side by side
Neither of them will abide

I guess I answered my own question
I just had to use my brain
Thank You God for all Your help
I hope it's not in vain

Yet keeps pulling its antenna,

Who pays these seat feelers?

Even when I am yawning?
Who pays this swam

To creep into my bolts
And unlock the secrets
Of My private business
Who pays us?
For I have been possessed by their intrigue
I find myself doing what they do
Yet I am not paid at all
I am going on strike

The Men Sport of Persevering

The feeling of getting rocked for the first time is
like losing your virginity. How I rise from the producers
decides if I like going down or hate getting up.

Yeah, they saw it. Eyes on me. The ubiquitous
air is still hear. My ascetic body
still functions on this field of men.

Fighting for friends, flying around full speed.
Go! Go! Go! Epitomizes our support.
The brain yells stop, but the heart whispers fight.

Hard work minus teamwork equals intact pants.
Hard work plus teamwork squared equals a smile.
Perspiration in the eye, never felt better.

The weakest link of our chain better power up
because he who pays the piper will call this tune.
Turns out, I couldn’t cry over spilt milk, if it didn’t spill.

As celebratory we were, we endeavor to looked opportunity
in the eye and purloin her work clothes,
before she is out of sight and out of mind

The Rain and Wind

The wind blew events all over the place.
Intense emotions and it gave chase.
Lightning lighting to show us the sky.
People try to sleep and not cry.
Wisping by the wind keeps us awake.
The time trying to sleep the storms take.
Chills in everyone gives all shiver.
The clouds surrounded by moonlight is silver.
Heavenly prayers that the rain will stop.
The flood stopped a car the person in it was a cop.
People have seen such devastation.
The road that people made was week in creation.
Rivers near by was over flowing.
Trees that were there was not showing.
By the hour it claimed many.
My father woke up and did not see any.
Floating by was a boat.
Keeping people above water and a float.
My father kept a canoe.
That some day we would use it, that he knew.
Time to paddle up and down the street.
The rain water kept getting on our seat.
It was so dark after the moon was behind the cloud.
Still the noise of thunder still covered the ears loud.
The smell of moist water never seem to go away.
My brothers seem to still sleep anyway.
My head was bobbing up and down.
I was so tired that I could not hear a sound.
The wind blew back and fourth.
It seems that my mom and dad paddle their worth.
Till all the people we saw with grace.
Help us out with embrace.
The time was so late at night.
Everyone was so sleepy and losing sight.
The fight with the weather was so hectic.
The feelings of energy was electric.
Losing to such natural disaster is hard to understand.
When people working hard to block the river with bags of sand.
With hard workers like my mom and dad.
They make things happen that is not bad.
Rough with weather they experience more than ever.
Leaders they are they are very clever.
From the night light of street lights to the morning glow.
The wind did not stop so.
Bringing in more clouds that ill.
The people who were still tired still had will.
The rush of water and waves blasting push the wall side.
Pushing and the force brought water inside.
The battle of our hour was getting long.
Backup people came to aid us was strong.
Rested they were to keep everyone with hope.
The people stopped the water with the strength of rope.
Heavy rain and loss of homes bring people together.
It is kind of sad that this was the only time to gather.
Chaos comes happiness how true.
This is why we are human that gives us a clue.
It is our nature to keep rain falling.
To know when it is time for our calling.
The winds bring such pain and sorrow.
That is why rain sometimes fallow.

Morals Morality and Ethical Direction

Morals, Morality and Ethical Direction… We often hear of morals, morality and ethical direction. What they mean, I suppose, is “one’s discretion.” Very seldom, is anything from the Bible being heard. Why obey God’s commandments? Why, that’s absurd! Many claim, that as adults, just about anything is “o.k.” As long as you don’t do what they do, but what they say! Many are “bombarded” with sexual type of temptations… Often leading many to get into perverse addictions! We set up boards of people to try to be “ethically clean.” When it comes down to it… What does this really mean? Can a person be totally immoral, but 100% ethical?’ Does this, in some way, seem kind of “heretical?” Why believe in God? He’s been ruled “unconstitutional.” While many listen to the news, which is often “delusional!” We hear of perversions, that are often “glorified.” Do we hear of those wanting to be Godly sanctified? If you’re confused, and need some kind of spiritual guide! Look to God’s word! He has nothing to hide! The kind of morality and ethics that you’ll ever need… Can be found in the Bible! Open it and read! Why not read from Genesis through Revelation? We can all find what we need! Across our nation! God and his word give us a true moral compass for living! His life for our own lives, is what he’s freely giving! Won’t you come to Jesus for godly direction today? He is here! And wants to help you find HIS way! By Jim Pemberton

No Job Can't Pay the Bills TRY JESUS

Here I sit, uncertain of what lies ahead.
I’m still wondering how my family will be fed.

I once had a job that provided a sense of “security.”
Now I don’t… And I have a lot of uncertainty!

I have unpaid bills, and I’m not sure what to do.
I’ve asked for help. But not sure who to turn to!

I get discouraged, and feel life “pulling me down.”
I’ve tried just about every job that’s in town.

The dreams I had, have been shattered and smashed.
At times, I feel like I’m just “a piece of trash.”

My wife tried to support me, the best that she can.
But she doesn’t know me… Or even understands!

Dear Jesus… You’re the only left that I haven’t tried.
There’s been many nights I laid awake and cried!

I read in the Bible, where your love for me is real!
When I call on your name... There’s a love I can feel!

Whatever happens, please help me Lord, to trust you!
Whatever tomorrow holds, may I still love you!

I know that you’re a foundation, that I can stand on!
Jesus is a friend! That I can always depend on!

Jesus, if I lose everything that I have or that I hold on to...
My I always remember your faithfulness
 and never forget you!

Here I stand… With my burdens lifted from me!
It’s because of Jesus! And how much he loves me!

I praise HIS name! And lift my hands to the sky!
He’s in control now! I don’t have to ask the reason why!

Jesus… Please take control of my worries and desires!
Above all of my problems, I lift your name up higher!

THE GARDEN TEMPLE OF PARADISE

Everything is beautiful at this time of day,
Following a quickening morning shower.
And the huge orange pearl that is the sun
Is just beginning to shepherd its endless power.
The spirit of divine blessings carries me,
In a vision, to the center of this sacred lush glade.
There lays a stone walkway crossing a footbridge
In a course toward stairs of rock on a rising grade.
Then immediately before me, a shrine-like temple,
With finely carved work exhibited on every side,
It appears to be the craft of the Eternal Builder himself,
To whom the fairest beauties of nature have replied.
It bestows its stately head of glittering spires to the sky,
Resting upon its noble structure of stone buttress and turrets.
The remaining stairs, I bound, and through the gilded doors,
Into the cedar and marble interior, a work of matchless merits.
The artifacts are carved to satisfy the eyes of God,
And, for amenity, a cruciform lamp high in the ceiling of the shrine.
Comprising the interior are two large and lavish units,
The nave consecrated to the body and the apse to the mind.
The golden glow of the lamp exalted the light in my eyes,
So I turned toward the door and gingerly stepped down the aisle.
With head bowed, I walked through the gilded doors,
Feeling the tender glow of the light on my back all the while.

Work

Work.
Toil.
The pain I put in the ground.
For such a precious thing.
Corn.
The family enjoys their meal.
They plant their leftover kernels.
And wait for me to tend to them.
Work.
An endless cycle in which happiness is born.

A Perfect Company

A Perfect Company
By: Noel N. Villarosa

They are the big fish in a small pond
They received kudos and power widely
With their bunch of fives used as their wand
They dominate while sitting idly

Been tasked in carrying coals to Newcastle
Never saw them as cool as cucumber
The atmosphere of office is in chronically hassle
Mobility and formative years, they are there to encumber

World-weary, so he indulged into stargazing
That he was working in a peculiar place
Where people work with eternal bliss
Where no one to make shudder and no egotist displaying

Everyone is happy to comply with buoyant spirits
You feel as no stranger but as a longtime friend
Where giving recognition and importance have no limits
Different origins and cultures do blend

There were no rush works and pressures
No deadline to meet and sanction
All work harmoniously with pleasures
And get involved into another function

They were wearing white uniform
No shoes, all are barefooted
No pains to bear and no hurting words thrown
A feeling of living in your own homestead

The place is boundless in its beauty
Where children play with other creatures
No darkness, only eternal light and free from enmity
That you can rest in the placidity of its seashore

Then a meeting was called and everyone gathered in the garden
He was introduced by the man sitting on the throne
He saw the man’s face as magnanimous, charmingly simple and serene
A soothing voice and said, my son there is no contract signing to hold you own
Only love will bind us as one

New job

the Lord gives us new jobs
to bring comfort to others and
to show how much that they are worth
just caring and sharing goes a long way
to give a smile to show God Loves them every day
to be willing to go thee xtra mile
will make the rewards far more worthwhile
in my new job i will work hard
and be there when they call
for God's love isn't for one
God's Love is for all
I will be helpful in eevrything that I do
and will be great to see how God will bless each and eevry one of you
so when I come to pray#i'll ask the Lord that I will do the ebst that I can every single day. Amen.

1 corinthians 15 v 58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

Lazy people want much but get little,
but those who work hard will prosper.
proverbs 13 v 4

proverbs 21 v 5
Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity,
but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.

2 peter 1 v 10 1 So, dear brothers and sisters,* work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. 11 Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen

The gospel episode of the Good Samaritan
mirrors the soul of the person replete with compassion;
although animosity has shaped the racial slur
between Jews and Samaritans ; like a clash of the titans.

That biblical motif, ‘who is my neighbor?’ makes sense,
it gives a colossal implication to everyone in quest –
in pain, in dire need to be assisted in many ways;
a call of duty with its depth of love and compassion.

The story itself is simple but concrete in action,
the powerful response that knows no second thought;
immediately, an act to the aid of someone who’s wounded –
enhances one’s sensibility and caring attitudes to many.

It’s an affirmation of ‘who am I to those who’re in need.’
like that Samaritan who never worries what’s gonna happen later;
suffused with compassion, he shows the spirit of God’s instruction,
that kind spirit in the form of religion reveals who he is to others.

Unlike those two spiritual leaders who just walked by and ignored,
the man who’s beaten and almost dead on the side of the road;
their hypocritical pride, fear or what other people might say
truly, a strong force that in light of this gospel episode
they appear making distinction of race or current situation in turn.

In Jericho where this incident takes place and unfolds its main point,
gives the opportunity to everyone who reflects its relevance and,
the possibility to see anew what patterns in one’s life needs a change;
either in true character or interpreting the real phenomenon before him.
It’s a challenge in depth, a kind of revelation that entails human care,
Like a person’s inward experience that flows into a sublime action;
With its working spontaneity deep within, along with inclusive application
That episode indeed, illustrates a treasure trove of human compassion.

Racial Discrimination

"Do you know such a work place
with racial discrimination?"
Asked some homo sapiens friends
who aren't so tall but with fair complexion.

By the way, you can make a guess,
if it is in your local place.
Maybe here, maybe there,
or perhaps abroad or somewhere else.

For this is an absolute experience,
for some who migrate in other places,
When it comes to work payment,
their compensation isn't that worth and fair.

Many are also asking questions,
like those with more responsibilities and work load.
"Why those workers with less but receive more?
Is it because of their color?"

However, "Yes" is isn't the answer,
especially that black and white are paid higher.
Then, they continue to wonder,
and make other presumptions on this matter.

"Aha! The sharpness of the nose maybe
and not either based on work load or one's ability."
So, they think their presumption will come more precisely
to the fact or to the reality?

But, they thought they need not to waste their money
to plan with the doctor for a surgery.
Because if they do and they're getting low salary,
their employer may think they came from a well-to-do family.

It's really hard for them to think
what is the real gauge and basis.
"Is it the height or color of skin?
Aha! It's the color of the hair, they concluded finally.

So, those poor homo sapiens friends
went to beauty parlor in nearby places.
They asked the beautician for help
and colored their hair brown, red, blond and some were golden.

After all of what they did, nothing had happened
because their reward from their effort and work is still the same.
So, they just kept calm and never ever whine again,
realizing that racial discrimination really exists.

Hence, they work harder instead
and never ever I heard their complains.
However, one of them had mention then
that they'll get more reward if they work for God in Heaven.

Quit My Job, Smashed My Car

Quit my job, smashed my car
My back does throb, need to learn guitar

So I can make, a silly song
And I can sing, it all day long
About how, my God is strong
So that even now, nothing’s wrong

Even though, I quit my job
smashed my car, my back does throb

Life is hard, but I’ve got God
So I won’t let any thought
Any worry or fear
Convince me you’re not near

Even when, I quit my job,
Smashed my car, my back does throb
Life is hard, but I won’t sob
I need to learn guitar

The Unhappy Moth

She chose a red scarf. The most red
of them all.
Of a dark red, a sweet and thick red color,
just as wine.

She carved from the red scarf
from the middle
to the size of a Martini glass.

Then she carved one more glass,
and she kept carving
till she fell asleep.

Yesterday
she saw her Beloved Moth
flirting with a Younger Moth,
carving together from a sweater
while she was getting busy,
carving in the shelves.

The Unhappy Moth drank lots of wine
woolen wine,
last night.
She drank lots, too much
for a Moth.
The Unhappy Moth got drunk
and fell asleep
on the red scarf,
unhidden
with a heart filled with peace.

She was not afraid no more.
Now she could be seen easily,
laying on the scarf
and easily crushed.

The Unhappy Moth was not
afraid of death no more,
at least, now she knew
how wonderful the red scarfs are
and that they taste
like red wine.

Rowdy Racecar

ZOOOOOOOMING speedily…
Tires squeaking from exhaust… high in volume
Racecar spews out smoke…
Blinding the eyes of a thousand fans

Blooming havoc…
Explosions avalanche downwards
Racecar drives fast and furiously
Awesome feelings launch through me
Projecting panic and twisted bliss

Catching the audience’s full attention…
Tension between challengers increase
Who could stand in their way… not even the coaches
Racecar screeches on the racing street…
Ain’t this competition neat? Come! Take a seat!
This event is brilliant – it’s such a treat!

Producing thrill or disappointment…
Car organs, fragments, shards, remains, limbs, veins
Spurts out in flames… flying at every possible direction
Countless racecars… barely functions – this scene is extremely horrendous!

Yet, the victories are gracious!
Vibrant applauses and thanksgiving triggers enlightening cheer
Have no fear!!!
The moment is ever so precious!

Racecar…you make so much racket and suspense!
Rowdiness is in your nature…who will pay the expense??

A Bondage To Work

Work, work, work,
bare back down,
across the boardwalk,
to the bone, I walk,
which brings These days
of slavery, but now BeHeads,
my flesh, to survive,
Countless nights,
no sleep, To rest my eyelids, or head,
though It's kept me from, lack
Of retirement, I no Beg, No More,
Touching, doors, to my,
peaceful home,Tis thee way,
of pride, I betroth Of supporting,
beloved ones, who Await my
Return, for them, I do
because there's Nothing more,
I'd like to see, than A smile, or
A warm greeting, home, as
my wife, stands beside me,
Where Children play, I catch
Width,Hand out,and arms extended,
Waiting, For their hugs with A smile,
HURRAY Daddy's Home, at last I say,
Another day, Bites the dust,
back to work tomorrows, I go,
Paying mortgage to its bitter end,
As my obligation, I have A bondage,
To work, I pray my lord, protects, with
Constant blessings, for he is the guidance,
That holds it altogether...

The Thread That Binds

A little boy and an ant became great friends one day.
But how to live drew them apart, and this is how they ran astray:

In the Ant’s heart was strict authority and constant work each day.
Why wasn’t the boy following someone, collecting for the food array?
The ant would always build everything in exactly the same proven way.
The anthill was underground and protected them perfectly every day.
Not adding to the hive was a crime, no one would ever think to display.
He knew every thing would be perfect, if everyone did their job and obeyed.

But the boy wanted to build bridges and trestles, just like his Dad, each day.
All of them out in the open, none of them under ground or hidden away.
And inventiveness came with the notice, of new and exciting things in daily play.
His life was really cool, not boring, as standing in a line would convey.
He’d invent, and ponder, and build in exciting, new ways, to fit each new byway.
Quick minded, and resilient he’d build, many fascinating and unique causeways.

The boy and the ant eventually went away, not happy with how the other lived.
They thought the other shortsighted and scorned, at what the other could give.
But they went away without realizing, how very similar were their lives.
For each would spend their time endeavoring to help others with their drive.
But understanding is a harder concept than building a bridge or storing food.
It takes a true gift to see the world as others do…

The moral to this story is really quite easy for all to see…
You can’t expect others to live their lives the way you want them to be.
Here, each was adding to their different world, only they could see.
While one was building for a smaller, singular hive…
The other was building for the hive of mankind.

9-11: Never Forgotten

My friend Justin and I want to dedicate this poem to everyone in America and those from other countries who have died, and also to those that lost their loved ones on this most atrocious day 11 years ago.

-------------------------------------------

In the busy streets of New York City,
Many a passerby made their way to work
It was a typical work day—or so they thought
It was an unexpected day when a great tragedy would strike
Two of the city’s greatest towers would fall in humility
And along with them many wonderful families
Even others from different countries would lose a loved one
In just a matter of minutes, all of what was that typical work day
Became a nightmare—a terrorist’s delight

Everything in chaos and confusion
Cries all through the day and night
Many called their loved ones if they survived that long
Many panicked, but some were dead calm
Knowing there was no way out
They poured their hearts out on that last telephone call, their legacy born
The attackers thought they broke us!
But they failed—we didn’t break at all
Instead they brought us closer as a nation
And the people who lost their lives are with us always
Never forgotten in our minds and in our hearts

That lost, Must Be Found

That moment we forgot what we did saw.
This no doubt our memory have failed us,
A signal that the time will not be thaw,
That moment we forgot.

When all throbbing has come and nestled, thus
The thing we saw reappears as its raw,
Then nothing can stop that call behind us.

Not lost memories are what we keep as law
The forgotten will haunt back as pulse
Highest shade, most lightening will tour and saw
That moment we forgot.

Note: Form of poetry used in the piece is a 'Roundel' form of poetry.

Sand Castles By The Sea

Walking along the oceans sand, in the crisp evening air
He happened upon a sand castle built by a child’s, tiny hand
It's delicate, virginal beauty, a short time it would last
Much too soon the waves of the sea would wash it to a distant past.

Those little footprints, ingrained on some land
Where a sweet, small child had carefully planned
A beautiful, fragile castle in sand

He was painting a picture in his mind of those little hands and feet.
The nocturne of a symphony with children directing the beat.
The rolling motions of the sea kept a rhythmic roar with the waves
They rolled to the shore in syncopated lyrics making wet, sandy graves.

His hope he carried in his heart
As he walked quietly along the sea
He wanted to make everything right
But he was doubting his ability

A silent cantata of a discordant roar of time,
Was singing a haunting melody in voice A-cappella
Chanting audible chords of memories in his mind
His thoughts went back to the little child, building a dream carved in sand
A a child who was thoughtfully shaping their future on land.

As he sat on the shore in pensive thought,
His own child came to his mind.
A sweet little girl, not a care in her world
            Singing her innocent, happy rhymes

He’d come home from work, needing time to unwind
Too busy and tired to give his child enough time
She learned to walk and talk all while he was gone
While her mommy taught her all those cute, little songs

"Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffett
             Eating her curds and whey
The little spider that sat down beside her
             Until she shooed him away"

His wife, the apple of his eye, a woman who stood by his side
He wrote her name inside his heart, always wanted her as his bride.
They fell in love, prayed for a sweet, little child to share all their love.
The Lord in Heaven heard their prayers and sent them a little girl from above.

His memories led him back to home
Knowing he made those vows without end
Finally knowing what he must do..
He’d take his wife and child by their hands
To make their lovely, delicate castles in sand

                                                                  *~*

The Song Of David

Enlighten days have past
He comes excel in all, so he thinks
"I am greater than man,
I know what ignorant man does not.
Come to me for knowledge unsurpassed!".
He points to the blue heaven,
"Where is thy wisdom? For I know all.
Where is thy command? That makes the ground shake
And brings forth water that lives?"

At the great gatherings,
He flocks the shepherds, blind, mute and deaf
He answers to the multitude of questions
He asked the shepherds, "but what are thy questions?",
“I know not what do ask a man of your wisdom, but what is a dream?
What is life?” asked the young herdsman.
"I know not what you speak of", said the Man.
"I only know what i can feel, touch and see"

"A dream is dream that passes us by, like gentle breeze of fresh spring.
Life holds all things mystery and doubts.
Shepherd knows to flock, not life or dreams".
"The shepherds are those who are humble, noble one", said the herdsman
"The blind cannot see, the mute cannot speak and the deaf cannot hear".
"Who are you preaching to? Silent and amaze, the man looks on.

"If the blind could see you,
They would say, 'look here is the man who tried to humble the blind
For they can see what others cannot,
If the mute could speak, they would humble you!
And if the deaf could hear they would shamed your wisdom".
"Was I a fool?" said the Man "or are you not that young herdsman?
Who knows nothing of life and passes his days tending the sheep's?
What could you learn from such simpleton life?"

"Life I live is simple indeed,
No one knows that the shepherds are those who protects the weak"
"Nature is a friend of the shepherd; we sing the song of David
And rubs the olive oil to our young sheep, to keep away the flies".
Insulted, the man's fury turns over to the young herdsman
"Nature? Protect the weak? The song of David? Flies?
How can nature befriend a lonely shepherd? Protect who?
Song of David the Shepherd who became the king?
What flies would harm the young flocks?"

The young herdsman smiled at the frown face of the man,
Left without a word
The blind, the mute and deaf ignored the man.
An unyielding shame kept the man humbled
He wonders why the young herdsman smiled about.
He came about a bridge and crossed the rocky roads
On the hill top he stood
And saw the young herdsman singing the Song of David.

THE WAY TO GREATNESS

To become great and be on top
You have to work hard and be zealous
to be able to dine with great personality
and become a hero

                Humility
Humble yourself in all ways
and the Lord will uplift you
you learn more and become wiser

               Love
Love people the way you love yourself
Be kind and show love always
Remove hatred from your book
Avoid bitter jealousy and refrain from wickedness

                 Self denial
Denial yourself of too much worldly things
like excessive sex, booze and extravagant living
Waist pain,STDs and rapid aging are inherent

                          Care
Show care and affection to the indigents
care for the needy
And they will look up to you and follow you
They will offer prayers to the LORD on your behalf

                    Faith
Have faith and believe in yourself
that you can make it and work towards it
Little faith can move mountains.

Bad News

Got bad news today, now I've got the blues
Not a good day, reduction in pay, layoffs too
Now hubby'll have to work harder, so hard
He works now, and will be covering night shift
That Larry didn't lose job, I thank Him for his gift
His boss is retiring at the end of the year, bad news
Too for they are friends and he does exellent work
Hate to put it this way, but employer's really a jerk
He makes money hand over fist and doesn't care
In his bountiful earnings, he seems unwilling to share
But at the end of the days, all will be set right I'm sure
Hopefully those layed off will find jobs, and will endure
We will just have to cut back, not so much Bingo too
Car be paid off soon, with His help we'll come through
Allright and the future will still look bright, His might
Will keep me strong, especially in darkness of night
When won't be here, I'm so used to going to sleep
With my love beside me, and listening to his snoring
Early evenings we spend together, now will be boring
But it's only for two weeks and then we go on vacation
I wish I could go back to work now and have a vocation
I worked hard at many a job for many, many years
Now I have to be content for now to stay home, no tears
Of joy today, maybe tonight God will hear my prayer
I'm playing once more again and will pray/wish if I dare
And leave my fate in His hands, for my woe He does care
Thank all who read this, I just had feelings I had to share

NOT BY MIGHT

A step, a fall
I rise to fly.
A sit, asleep
I wake to work.

I fly to heights unseen
Uphigh, that low.
I work ernestly
So hard, un-noticed.

All I do,
All I give.
Almighty I for-seek.

So I seek and found;

A step, a fall
Hope, He besieges upon me
with each breath taken.

I rise to fly
For He is my Strenght.

A sit, asleep
In His hands my burdens I leave
His laps my comfort.

I wake to work
For His Grace abounds.

I fly to heights unseen
On His wings I soar.

Uphigh, that low
My upsets He trends to propel
high.

I work ernestly
Only He rewards my real wage.

So hard, un-noticed
His consent is more than
enough.

All I do,
All I give.
Almighty I found.

Our secret pact

 Written on 7th may 2012

The three of us, I don’t recall the time,
when we first met I shared all secrets of mine.

One of them I realized began to befriend me about an eon ago,
the other one I recall was with me since puberty, constantly seeking a glow.

The three of us made a pact for me to move on
but now it is only me and the two of them gone…………..

One was the inner me
and the other was the man in my mirror I envied to be.

But now it is three woven into one
and it is the new me.

As we draw our pact now and here
Would love to banish from my life, worry doubt & fear.

Would like to be joyous, true and live life each moment with zest,
And give the people around me nothing but the best.

Would love to talk, communicate and break mental barriers that are creations,
and work hard towards mending broken relations.

Would love to tell my wife to give me all her tears and fear,
And take from me all my love the loving words she likes from me to hear.

Would love to make an effort to be a good friend,
To my elder daughter and put all petty misunderstandings to an end.

Would love to stop to the people in contact ,the shoving,
And spend more time in loving.

Would love to stop being disadvantageous and outrageous,
And speak only the truth and for that be courageous.

Would love to fight my emotions all unfriendly,
And cover them all with feelings that are friendly.

Would love to learn to be sensitive,
And towards others be open and receptive.

Would love to practice not to crib about all the things life has not given me,
And be greatful for the great things around me I have an opportunity to feel and see.

Would love to learn to be content about all I have received,
And focus now on giving and helping those, whom life has deceived.

Would love to pray for world peace and plant more trees,
And work to help out for carbon emission decrease.

Would love to learn to be forgiving,
And be more tolerant and caring.

Would love to right some of my wrongs,
And be true to myself and hum joyous songs.

And finally, would love to learn to be humble and full of gratitude,
And to do so spend some precious moments of my day reflecting in solitude.

Eyes do Weep

When my son was young and so very, very wild…
I loved him dearly for he was my child.
But I feared the drugs, alcohol, and friends he did keep.
I knew they would destroy him, as I found my Eyes do weep.

We found a private High school with new peers to seek.
Miraculously, He found his own way back, and to college he did leap.
He chose a college and fraternity far away, as my eyes blurred again.
But the day he was on his own, became the best that’s ever been.

His fraternity became his brothers, and advice they dished out.
Study time became important, with gentlemanly behavior devout.
I’ll thank them each, in the leadership and help they all showed.
I’ll thank my son for growing up, and for becoming who we now know.
Community service brought blood drives, and teaching inner city kids.
They worked on their fraternity house, reclaiming it from the skids.
All parties had designated drivers to take every body home, all right.
They gathered clothes for the homeless to brighten up their life.
They built Homes For Humanity for to work he was never adverse.
Then, to add to the rest, he continued to work to become a nurse.
He put himself through college working in a hospital and ambulance.
He had learned a reverence for life, happiness, and yes, even patience.
My wild, wild son has found purpose in life and peace at long last.
And again my eyes do weep… This time with love so vast...

It's 5 o'clock somewhere

Clouded
Weak
You wake before dawn
The daily routine
Making you forlorn
Struggle through each day
To pay the bills
Its the daily grind
That tests your will
Security in your life
You defend
What is the purpose in the end
The only consolation is the end of each week
So desired
No reason to speak
Think It
Dare say
Your almost there
Know this my friend,
It's 5 o'clock somewhere!

In His Numbers

It always' takes numbers'
To save the Day,
November 22nd.....
Now that was a Day
      ------
John F. Kennedy was
Assonated on the very day
It was also my birthday
I was a Twin
Born, to be a friend
To the end..
      ------
Then their is Turkey Day
       Needless to say
It rotates every few years'
     On my birthday,
The Lord must have planned
               It this way....
       ------
My twin had Little Gwen
God's little gift from the Twins'
She was also born on the 22nd
Of November....
She was now to become
The next of Ken,
Fore sacred is Her name
But, still in Life///
She has Her own Lion
To tame...
     -----
Born to me on February 28th
I had two daughters'
Jamelliah and Malika
They always' say that I
Spell their names wrong
         As though, I was
      The Grim Reaper'
       ---------
But, What the heck..
      ------
So, I say, get a Spell-CHECK
Then you will know what I mean
I have a Poetic License,
My conscious is clean...
      ------
Born of different years'
Their mother is my
     eX-gIRL fRIEND
That is how it all began
No body knows how
It will end....
      ------
You know the significance of
February 28...
If not, then you ought to...
That is a case for fate....
      ------
It wasn't the calendar
The babies' were late...
      ------
How would you feel if your
Birthdate came every 3 YEAR's
Would that give you a chill
Tell me, how does' that feel

HOME

Never forget what you have
Your home is your haven and to let your hair down
The love of your home, its the place to be
With the love of all of your family
Home is truly where the heart is
Remember that the work day is done
Never bring home the toils from the day
Relax and have fun that is the way!
When you walk in the door you will see
The smiling faces of your family
Kiss them hello and have a good night
Be aware that the home you have worked so hard for
Is the place to rest and relax and say
I have done all I can for this day is done its with the
Family, wow I am sure gonna have some fun!

Our QT Savior

In the cold of the morn with a crisp cloudy day…
A flat tire assailed a young girl, as she went on her way.
Young and full of life but definitely overwhelmed…
She was late for work and her husband had just nearly died.
She sat in her car, sniffling, worrying, and crying some wails.
She’d never changed a tire, a young husband always there.
But hurt he’d become, and in the hospital now remained…
It was up to her, suddenly alone, to make things right again.
She fretfully tried AAA but the wrong number was wrung…
Till Old Granny Goodness appeared with hope, and some fun.
She quickly got her out of the car, and found everything there.
Explaining what to do, Granny decided to entertain with flair.
Together they’d use a spare tire to fix that rickety old car.
They figured out the jack and successfully lifted the car.
But lug nuts are hard and need strength to unleash…
So granny fussed and she bug-tussled but never gave up
Till the young girl laughing, knew what she must do herself…
Grabbing deep into her courage, she ran into the QT for help.
Sure enough, a worker volunteered to help that sweet young thing out.
And the lug nuts came off lickety-split with laughter on top.
The young man was gracious, and ever so kind and…
Yes, he finished the job with his best smile and in record time
And of course he helped put everything away, too, you can bet…
He even helped Old Granny Goodness up off the ground where she sat.
Then with a salute and fare thee well, he went back inside…
While Old Granny Goodness, and the girl put air in the tires.
By now the girl was the lead in the work as she smiled and laughed…
She was empowered; you know… there’s nothing wrong with that.
Yes, the world was saved as all found their way home, with a wink, at last.
Yes, with gratitude, a hug, and a smile… many a way can be found again.

Daddy's Little Girl

Ballerina’d beauty…
She was always on beat and the most fluent mover. Never hesitant to step out onto her linoleum playground, Letting the stage lights beam down at her like sunshine, only refracting rays to intensify her lime light see she… was a dancer. &no I’m not talking about ya everyday tutu wearing mannequin. This one was special. The music was a part of her, she found a rhythm in every void and a tune in all speeches, it could only, flow thru her mind like water through the globe, more than she runs through my thoughts, like the way those greens slips of sustenance fell to the ground as she worked her pole.
Tragic ending to the perfect fairytale.
Mommy and Daddy had her dancing at six and in and out of auditions, wishing for her dreams to be realized unlike her own. Praying that her daughter could be somebody important, the next best thing since Broadway, better than Dejan Tubic, another Janelle Ginestra, but daddy had a sweet spot for his youngin. Wanting more for an innocent life and only turned her out of a fantasy. Pushing her on with the hopes only fools in the Ghetto would believe. Graduation day, she crashed hard, spinning back into reality. With no way to pay for her Julliard dream, a fistful of issues, and not a pot to piss in. She was strolling the block one night, and, heard music. Got sucked into the charisma of a strip joint. One second she was on the corner, everything goes black and when she comes to… she’s bare, with enough ones to get a place and put some food in her belly. That night she looked in the mirror… breaking down crying… all the dreams she had, crushed by the nimble fingers of fate. She doesn’t pity herself for long. Her mind’s already made up. “Gotta do this for me…” She rests, and the next day she finds herself back to the club to make more ones and satisfy more customers. It wasn’t the life she chose, but it’s one she’ll never regret, cause always had that sweet spot for her in el Corazon.. and she’ll always be, Daddy’s Little Girl.

I just need to say thank you

I sit on our veranda, the sun shines down on me,
I sit out at night, the moon beams down on me,
I sit on our veranda, the stars twinkle above me,
I sit out in the heat, the breeze caresses me.

I see the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea,
I gaze at the beauty that is Cyprus,
I gaze in awe of all the splendour within my view.
I feel God saying, David, I did this just for you.

We came to this Island in the sun,
We felt that our working life was done.
God must have laughed at our plan,
For that's the time when His began.

We work part time in a Hospice shop,
No pay, but great rewards each day
Folk come by with their stories, some sad,
We pray, and send them on their way.

I came from a humble background, I have toiled all my life,
I came to the end of my working life, just glad that I survived,
I struggled for the most part, clinging to the wreckage as 'they' say.
God sent me a wonderful person to help me on lifes way.

We married all those years ago, not knowing what the future held,
Jesus is the glue in our marriage, He holds us together as one.
He is the 'food' for our sustinance, He keeps us 'alive'
Thank you Jesus for all the work You have done in our lives.

What's Happening to Marriages Today

What’s Happening to Marriages Today?

I was listening to someone just the other day…
And I couldn’t believe what he had to say!

He had left his wife and children for another!
She was young enough to be his daughter!

Here they were, “in love” and holding hands!
Hoping to soon, get their “wedding bands!”

They were pretending that this was so “cool.”
Living now by their own “set of rules!”

How sick and disgusting this is getting to be!
Is this something that many can’t see?

God gave us Adam and Eve to become one.
To bear fruit through daughters and sons!

He gave us marriage as holy vows are made.
Not to march in an “adulterous parade!”

We are treading on very dangerous ground!
Faithfulness and commitment
are scarcely found!

The very definition of marriage is changing!
As the family unit is always rearranging!

Our only hope is in Jesus! And him alone!
Let’s promote his love! Into our hearts and home!

Let’s allow his love to be our heart’s glue!
And bring new meaning to the words; “I love you!”

May his love bind our hearts and lives together!
And remain faithful to each other forever!

Car Be Me Car Fast

            Car Be Me Car Fast

Car be me car, not you car, car be fast, me be fast in car, me fast
Go left car go left.
Car be fast go left all day
500 laps, car be fast, laps go fast
Me car go fast
Win cup with car be fast
Get milk, when car go circle fast, go left
Other determining factors in auto racing are
Quantum balance, stream line vehicular shape, and grace
Rotate tires for proportioned stops and maneuvering power
Due diligence, judicious use of space while racing
Decreased velocities at corners
There is no time for second place
No stop signs, by design, on racing days
Only a subtle touch of gas and brakes
A discerning mind to optimize the vehicles potential in this venture
Speed fuels the need for high adventure
Surrounding the circular path as the masses gasp and scream
So comprehend, surmise the cutting edge, turn left
Eloquently traverse the course with an exotic flare
Settle smartly, land right there, in winner’s circle
Car be fast, me be fast, but me come in last

THE CHOICE OF ONE'S HEART

Parents are very fierce on expectations by holding the rod....
they mean well, but they crush or ignore their teens' wishes;
not all are meant for professional careers, others choose trades
to express themselves in the best ways they know how.

My dad wanted me to be an aircraft engineer,
but I rebelled and chose a writing career;
I disappointed him a lot by disobeying...
but as much as I love airplanes, I prefer writing.

I envision those airplanes as thoughts traveling through space on floating clouds,
and they are lovely indeed...like the fearless birds flying past the hazy horizon;
I wonder how any pilot finds the courage to fly them without looking down...
I peaked through that window: all I saw was a blue Earth with majestic mountains.

Being a writer is not a guaranteed profession, or a tale from rags to riches...
its the happiest one, but it's full of personal satisfaction and self esteem;
there's none like it, and on that expectation, I've built my childhood long dream,
but the biggest thrill of all is to see your words translated in many languages.

Sadly, my dad passed away and his bitterness I recall with pain;
it wasn't an act of disobedience, but a matter of choice, or even worthiness,
and the choice of one's heart always seems to be the right one!
Can anyone among you see my refusal as betrayal, or a desire for greatness?

Nation of death

The death nation
Made for the fear a new sensation
No words, no talks , no negotiation
Well seeing is believing
Heaven is our motivation
Yesterday it was asleep
Today nothing is gonna keep
The death nation
Rising above every situation
A nation who loves death , it's not any more a myth

Eucharist

Fr. Christ said “I am the living bread that came down from heaven...

If anyone eats this bread

He will live forever

Who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, abides in Me and I in him"

Essential signs of Eucharistic Sacrament are wheat bread and grape wine

Communion with the Body and Blood of Fr. Christ increases the communicant’s union
with the Lord God.

Receiving this sacrament strengthens the bonds of charity between the communicant and Fr. Christ

It also reinforces the unity of the Church as the mystical Body of Fr. Christ

The Church recommends the faithful to receive the Holy Communion at least once a year.

Fr. Christ Himself is present in the sacrament of the altar

He is to be honored with the worship adoration

To visit the Blessed Sacrament is a proof of gratitude

Expression of love

Duty of adoration toward Fr. Christ, Jesus our Lord

Potency and Strength - Part 4

We are all born the same.
What makes us different is the path we chose to tread on.
We are all far from being perfect, none of us are the same.
What makes us different, is,
who is less further from perfection than the other.

Timeless

Many speak of courage and the dragons that they meet

But what of the dragon within, deep within the deep

A beast so terrifying, it’s made many a strong man weep

No flames bursting from its maw

Instead a song so captivating it lulls you to sleep

All other dragons are scales in its hide

One must enter its lair alone and bow at its feet

You must respect its power before you draw your sword

Because once you stab its heart you in turn pierce your own

Mustering this kind of courage is no easy feat

By killing the dragon you also kill yourself

You are reborn in the womb of wombs

You awake to the world humbled and renewed

For it's embracing the truth of this beast
That allows you the clarity to recognize peace

when our children ask why?

the stones will tell the story of their journey into the Promised Land
the children of Israel with the Ark of the Covenant at Gigal they came to stand
they had crossed over the Jordan River when the river bed by God was made dry
and the Lord told them to tell all the children if they should ever ask why?

God is at work in our lives, He has a master plan
He's prepared us for that which for us He has in His hands
our lives have been redeemed by His unlimited mercy and grace
as He's the God of the whole universe of all air, land, sea and space
we've been fashioned in His image and the likeness of His Son Our Holy Lord
and when we accept and acknowledge Him our lives become more in accord
as all things work together for the good of those who love Christ
no matter the trials nor the tribulations that you experience in this life

when our children ask why we worship and honor the Lord God
the words out of our mouths should be from the depths of our hearts
tell them that once they understand the purpose that for them God has ordained
they'll be more equipped to handle life's frustrations, upsets and pain
let them know no matter what in life they are going through
the joy of the Lord comes each morning and He will always be with you

trust in God to open doors and let His Holy Spirit guide you along
believe in His word, follow His commands and you will never go wrong
by exposing the core of your being, your soul and becoming a vessel that God can use
now as a true disciple and servant of Christ you can never lose

so reverence God, respect God and hold Him in the highest regards
and when our children ask why tell your testimony from the heart
that God is omnipotent, there is nothing He cannot do
He parted the Red Sea and the Jordan River so His people could pass through
so when our children ask why, why we glorify the Lord God?
we can tell them about all the wonderful things and the miracles He imparts

The Common Good

            The Common Good

Rice pudding with cinnamon serves the common good
Razor blades on wrists do not
Utility of perfection is perfected knowing God and nature
Playing with the devil and dark forces ends in dread
Of course ice cream is still delicious when served cold
Arsenic is not nutritious or so we’re told
Naturally sex is fun and should be taken under advisement
Leaping from a plane without a parachute has unpleasant consequences
Walking on pavements is a solid, concrete and more constructive thing to do
Leaving babies in hot cars to fry is still a crime
It is better to sleep through life if you are so inclined
Doing good, being well, is always within your grasp
But someone, probably you, will have to cut the grass
It is keeping up the neighborhood
For the common good; like cinnamon and pudding

Fire Fighter

A FIRE FIGHTER… We get the call in the middle of the night, Out the door ready to fight. The call comes in, with much depth, Behind the wheel someone slept. Across the lane and head on Arrive on scene the drivers gone. In the other car there is A mother, and her 2 kids. It’s too late we hear the ambos say The mothers gone the fathers away The kids are hurt but not too bad, But news we bring is too sad Return to our lives the next day, For those kids we all will pray. Talking to a friend that night, How do you do it, without fight? It’s the job we say but is that true Is just about the job for me and you? We are fire fighters yes Trying all the time to do our best We love our job, the friends we’ve made But we also love the lives we save.

My Friend The Piano

You carried my emotions from the start
Each emotion bound in the small black note
Each one coming straight from my chilly heart
The music you make is my antidote
Through the preludes my comfort softly lay
By way of mazurkas my soul does fly
But to divulge you must learn how to play
Although learning is not a piece of pie
Piano brings emotions around town
You have the power to bring my heart up
Or throw me on the floor and beat me down
There are hard times when I just want to cup
My hands in my face and rock back and forth
And think Piano is a friend of worth

Poverty

I was born that very day,
Everybody was happy and rejoicing,
Joyful to have I included
I saw them and I cry aloud
"What a stressful world am into"
What a pressure is pulling over me?
Can I resist this?
Powerful to answer..............

I grew up in this life
Struggling to survive
Everyday my dad hustles for pay
Trying to keep the family okay
My mom hoping for a brighter day
Oh! When will this come?
Managing and un-satisfied wants
Yet we pray, give hanks for everything
Too bad that I had no hope
But keep thinking how my life will be
Will I continue my dad’s style?
In this I lot my dad
We cried and I thought the world is at end
We moved on suffering
Poverty ruled over us, life so hard
No family no good government
No friends to follow or advice
We struggled all alone
In this my mum went over {I mean - dead}
Is just like am also dead, yet am still breathing
My life just started.

Its time for me to think
Live my life and plan for my family
Am all alone, no one to care for me
No family all alone in a still world
I will work hard to give my life the best legacy (education)
In this I can become any I want to be, I can rule the world
I will always have enough on my table
If I work hard I can rule the world
Break history
God be with me........................

You THINK?

You think you might be in love.

You think he/her might be in love with you.

You think about a lot of things. Do you really know those things?

You think a lot, you worry a lot.

But do you really HAVE to think or worry about those things?
Or do you WAN'T to think or worry about those things?

Now that there is something to think about.

Do You Get Involved With Gossip And Slander

Do You Often Get Involved In Gossip And Slander?

Do you find yourself letting your tongue “wander.”
And often, get involved in gossip and slander?

Do you find yourself wanting to hear “the latest conversation.”
By what others are saying, or just by “observation?”

Do you find yourself trying to “mediate other’s discussions?”
Not really thinking of the consequences or “repercussions?

Before you speak, think about what you’re saying!
Perhaps you should be quiet and start some PRAYING!

There’s a lot of sin in this world and
“people not getting along.”
We must be careful and not put our tongue
“where it doesn’t belong!”

God gave us a command and you can find it in his word.
Any kind of gossip or slander shouldn’t be found or heard!

I have found myself guilty of doing this more than I realize...
I need to be careful not to get caught
“in distortion and lies.”

I need to ask the Holy Spirit to watch my mouth and “cover it.”
May the love and sweetness of Christ daily “empower it!”

May I seek the best no matter whatever others are doing!
May the words of God strengthen me with a “HIS renewing!”

May the Lord Jesus begin to teach me how to speak…
Wholesome and lovely words each day of the week!

May the joy of Jesus in my heart be daily found…
So that his words of life through
 my lips will abound!

Thoughts of A Song Writer

From my thoughts on the paper in which it lies,
My everlasting passion is inked as it dries.
The way I feel inside, you might want to spy,
But if you pry, how will my lyrics surprise?
A song for thought will only leave a thought.
May sound difficult, but that’s just how I talk.
I was lost, but I found me.
Dreaming and believing that writing was my key.
The way it flows and the way that it goes pumps me to speak
the very thoughts that many minds chose to keep.
Many rocks I’ve kicked and many decisions I’ve made.
Any wrongs I take the blame.
Tic-tac-toe is only a game.
I plagiarize your eyes with the notes that I’ve taken,
A high note here and a low note there-
You’d swear I’m in your head when my song hits your ear.
Pain recognizes pain
And I’ve have my share of bandages.
My vibes from life heals the permanent damages.
Thoughts of a Songwriter,
Reaches farther beyond the beat,
Over the lyrics on the sheet,
Not only is it about the speech,
But more of what the message seeks.
True enough a theme is touched and a heart is rushed.
With the mind-throbbing picture disappearing
Through the ink of my pen and revealed through your lens,
You can’t hear me, but do you feel me?
I cherish my talent and where it could possibly sweep me.
My doubts and my worries are beneath me.
I love for brighter days and pray for more things to pave.
Call my life my number because its infinite.
Thoughts of a Songwriter,
My mentality drips it.

Making It Great In 2008 (part7) :Let Your Towel of Service be the Weight

it was a momentous occasion at the Lord's last meal
time for Jesus to tell His Disciples what is the real deal
the tension was thick about the table, anticipation was in the air
Jesus to reveal to His men the cross they must learn to bear
they had witnessed His power, His divine authority they had seen
time for a major announcement and all wondered what it would glean
and after all the sacrifices and after all the concessions
Jesus picks up a simple towel and then makes this confession
today I have washed your feet so you may become a part of Me
yet even though I have served you this way,
there's one here who can't claim the victory
you might not understand My words
nor why this task I did undertake
but to be a true disciple of God
you must let your towel of service be the weight

to be a servant to God is the first thing you must learn to do
to be humble and submissive to the One who created you
Jesus humbled Himself in the presence of His most devoted students
a lesson in life to be learned that He felt was most prudent
for in order to be a leader you must learn how to be lead
to remember from where you come from and not to develop a swelled head

the towel is the true tool in the art of being a servant
to follow your master and in life learn to be observant
to walk in the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ
to take up a towel and then bow down in sacrifice

you can't be focused nor consumed with attaining a title or a position
for that is not what God had in mind when He sent forth the Great Commission
you can't be so concerned about receiving some status or some rank
it's about serving God, making disciples and then giving Him all the thanks
God gave each of us a special gift that we need to utilize
a towel of service that will help us attain our eternal prize

so take up your towel of service and then go take your place
a true servant of the Master waiting on His mercy and grace
let your towel be your testimony, let your towel talk the talk
let your towel be of service and in the Spirit walk the walk
it's not about money or prestige nor fortune nor fame
it's about your towel of service and the victory you will claim
let your towel be the weight and let it be your life's resume
let it be your badge and the banner that you wear each and every day
let your towel be your emblem, let your towel of service be the weight
let it be your medal of faith in making 2008 great

CRITERIA OF THE JEWISH CANON 11022011

In the several centuries
Before the coming of Christ
The Jews in Palestine re-examined
Eliminated some of the books

From existing collection
As not in harmony with the Law of Moses as
Of doubtful inspiration
The Pharisees set up four criteria

Which their sacred
Books had to pass
In order to be included
In the revised Jewish Canon

(1)	They had to be in harmony with the Pentateuch (Torah or Law)

(2)	They had to be written before the time of Ezra

(3)	They had to be written in Hebrew

(4)	They had to have been written in Palestine

Upon the Silence

...however as he slothfully reclined
Banking himself on the cold steel bench
Dilemma gripped nastily on his shoulders;
The clouds pace above and as if alive
Winked at him- pulling memories from behind

"Oh yes, we are but a speck of a seed
A granule, puny and almost trivial
By how- minute as we- pull off an impact
Than a lone tree in a dry sunny land
And lighted cottage amidst dark forest indeed?"

Resounding they truly are, his mentor's words
Past and spoken, long uttered in the wind.
Yet it reverberates from the turquoise skyscrapers
To the bench he sat beside his proud Ford.

"For the proper or for the practical thing?"
An innocent query shrieking upon the silence.
a galleon of betterment versus virtue;
The bright clouds blots his space on the wide greenery.
"Affirmative." A salmon is going upstream.

Calling Father

<
09132012

Eternal Father stepped down and gave His thrown to Eternal Son
We are on the New Testament with God the Son
Angel Gabriel told Mother Mary to name Him “Jesus”, when He was a Jew
He grew, started a Universal Church and was baptized by St. John the Baptist

Eternal Father, Yahweh gave Him a name of “Christ”
Apostle is a Priest
Eternal Son is the Apostle of Eternal Father
He is the Highest Priest of the Universal Church

Universal is Catholic or Roman Catholic Church
He didn’t need to be baptized
But He did anyway to for the righteous
He ordered 12 Apostles to preach His Gospel

Eternal Son is the Apostle of Eternal Father
Eternal Son is Father Christ
Father Christ is the Highest Priest of the Catholic or Roman Catholic Church
Should we not call Him “Father” for the righteous?

The Gardener

Devoted is the gardener Who makes the flowers grow She tills the Earth and plants the seed And nurtures what she sows She cultivates the naked earth And tills it in her hand The blossoms that her work brings fourth Will decorate the land She labors each and every day From dawn 'til setting sun The gardener is vigilant Her work is never done She's one of nature's instruments A planter of the seed A prophet of divine intent A disappearing breed Though her hands are worn and calloused She has no time for rest She is part of something greater Her labors have been blessed And when her earthly toils are done She'll rest beneath the sod Then awake in a new garden Prepared for her by God
This is dedicated to my Grandmother, Beatrice Spencer 1909-2003. She is always in my heart. Her gardens were always colorful, and beautifully maintained. She was a marvel, and the world is a far less vibrant place without her.

My Pain

Life is an array of twists and turns
Nightmares to conquer and dreams to burn

Why must I wait
for the opening of the gate
The world outside is a forest and dark
and the people are it's bark

The lies
Distrust
Denies
To dust
Cries for something more
and they drag you in because they must

What's the point?
You work to meet them
then work harder to defeat their memory
To undo their damage
and disconnect the joint

One man that knew no better
Didn't mean to make me any upsetter
When he said it was better this way
But I'd love to forget it any day

For years I've seen it
So many tears I've tasted for it
Betrayal never gets old
ask me sometime and the story will be told

Cheaters
Liars
Beaters
Criers
Defeaters

All the things I disgust
and leave the taste
that leaves me to a further distrust

Whores
Bores
Posers
Closers

So many I can name
So many I can blame
So many I can claim at one point
and deny me what I want

But if you don't know, you don't know me

The Blessing for My Book

As my job and health failed me... I dreamed to someday put together a
book of poetry and this will be the blessing it will begin with...

As I sit here weaving my poetry
Into the semblance of a book…
I find that I must ask Gods’ blessing…
For the journey, that together we have took.

I find I must bow my head in thought…
Over this book that together we have wrought
As my hands clasp oh so reverently and earnestly over my heart…
As I believe his help brought the words together that I sought.

And God set the journey that shaped what now before you begins…
He helped me find the words that reached through my heart to my pen.
I pray the poems will be worthy of what he showed me as my life’s art.
And upon this book I honestly pray that his blessing he will impart.

New Lease on Life

New Lease on Life…

I’ve got to prove it to myself
And not to anybody else
I’ve got a new lease on life
Sharper than a razor or any knife

I’m in search of better things
Not the fame and fortune they might bring
If I want to live, I’ve got to give
Push myself a little harder
Reach new peaks that hide
I’ll seek them

Surge ahead, run a big risk
There must be more to life than this
Laying around, lost not found
Dusk till dawn without ambition
Breaking loose and free
Eluding the noose again

I’ll have to change my ways but I’ll remain the same
I have dreams like you but they won’t die, they’ll come true someway
More of this and less of that, but I won’t refuse a good excuse
 To through it all away…

If I want to live, I’ve got to give
Push myself a little harder
Reach new peaks that hide, I’ll seek them

I’ll break my neck, keep working hard
It’s better to feast than it is to starve
Do my best to pass every test
In search of better things, like
Reaching new peaks that hide,
I’ll seek them…

Proving it to myself
And not to anybody else
I’ve got a new lease on life
Sharper than a razor or any knife

Balance Within

Introduction: Even if you're tied to barely holding on, your control over will power shall pull you up towards the truth and success. But only if you believe up to all, that it's stronger than what you could be - that's when you balance the fall...

You may get old
Your memories may drown,
But your soul won't get cold
And beliefs won't breakdown.

Just don't you let go
As you never know,
Things you seek for all your years
They could be in your back yard.

Find the truth within the lies,
Fight your pride to end this cry,
Trust your soul; open the door
Balance yourself and roll the stones.

The one's you heart will always stay
So don't throw life out your doorway,
Life's too short and it's too real
Sometimes it's hard to see and feel

That's how you live a life,
The risk that breaks you down to bits
Saves and brings you back alive,
That's what we call the gift of life.

No matter how rough things might get
We get rewards for the risks we take,
No matter how hard or sad
Learn and value what you have.

Though, too much pride will leave you dried
Don't let 'hopeless', be your life's stride,
None of this will you take to grave,
Your deeds will lay, only your pave.

As you breathe in and do breathe out,
Make each one profound
And stand your ground,
As lies are just the fantasy,
The truth - is your ecstasy
And this will forever be plain to see...

My Heart Journey

In the depth of the darkness
In the recesses of my soul
As I work and I wonder and I go to and fro
I think and I wake and I wonder and I know

That life where I belong
This life that I wear
Is not of my soul
As I work and I wonder and I go to and fro

To reach my heart I must push past
The quest...my journey, my bliss
The one turn...turn it right to go
I think and I wake and I wonder and I know

My path already made
My soul along it will follow
On this path I'll find my heart
As I work and I wonder and I go to and fro

I think and I wake and I wonder and I know

Non Catholic religions

You think Christ is not hurt
With loving what you thought is Christ
Loving Christ is being in His true Church
In Catholic or Roman Catholic you are not condemned but saved

In His Church
Ask R.C.I.A.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults
Is like a college Religion class

You will learn the truth
In other man-made religion bible are lies
What you’re reading is really the true Church
Not your own

It’s like a blind
Leading another blind
They would both fall in hell of fire
It is not the minister’s fault

Your own, rather take them with you
Both of you learn the truth
For every man they can be a deacon
Bishop and Priest are not with a wife

For Jesus Christ is a High Priest
Great Prophet
Only Son of the most High
The Redeemer

In RCIA, you will receive 3 important Sacraments
Baptism
Confirmation and
Holy Eucharist or the Body of Christ

We want God to be pleased with us
Eternal Father told the people
To Listen only to the Messiah and
The One I sent

What are these Christ like churches?
Non Catholic churches?
People in there are already condemned
Being in Catholic or Roman Catholic, you are saved

Leadership through trust

The smile of a child, trying to climb on his foot,
trusts the mother to hold on ,and that builds his youth.

the child as a youth moves on every possibility
trusting on his teacher and his reliability

Then the life takes the youth to the next level,
challenging his credibility and making him face hell.

Along with experience he learns the legacy,
that trust is more when there is intimacy.

Slowly by pace the trust grows cent by cent
with gradual involvement and engagement.

Then there's a task and a timeline to keep,
and he finds trust works very well in a partnership

And finally the task is achieved and a smile on his lips,
The glory is great ,and such simple is the skill of leadership.

This Load I Carry

Along the road of life, I carry a large load… It feels quite heavy… As I travel a “bumpy” road. This load I carry is often difficult to bear… At times, I stumble… And caught “unaware…” The trials and hardships of life… I shall endure… I’ll try to stay on a path that is “safe” and “secure.” There are times, however, when I get in a hurry... As the storms of life often cause a “flurry.” During my travel… As I look up to the darkened skies… I can almost look into my heavenly father’s eyes… As God reaches down his arms so strong… He’s there to lead me when things go wrong. The Lord is there to help with my heavy burden… He’s also my guiding light… through life's "dark curtain!" The Lord is my shepherd and is with me where I go… He’s brought strength and rest for my weary soul. This load I carry may be full of so many things… But grows lighter because of the love that God brings! By Jim Pemberton

The Sculptor

I feel Him chip away at my flesh.
The vibrations shake to my bones.
Pieces that were once part of me now fall helplessly to the floor.

Every scrape of the chisel,
Every pound of the hammer,
Every piece that is broken from me stings with immense pain.

Why doesn't He stop?
Why is The Sculptor so cruel?
Doesn't He realize that each swing He takes is a nightmare to me?

I would be better off as stone that was never touched,
I would be more content without the suffering that comes apon me,
But I wouldn't be a work of art.

Each chip of the chisel is intended to remove a piece that shouldn't be there.
Each pound of the hammer is meant to force the hideous fragments far from me.
Each move The Sculptor makes, takes me closer to His plan for me.

I must trust, knowing that He never takes off too much.
I must be ready, knowing that He never leaves His work incomplete.
I must be thankful, knowing that I am being made beautiful in His eyes.

The acute pain is only a short part of His plan.
The lasting anguish fades in its own time.
Though heart, and soul, and body all grieve, the permanent state will be that of finished work.

I may not know the reason for each strike,
I may not know the fault with each sundered chunk,
And I may never know.

I know the sting of the chisel now,
I know The Sculptor has a plan,
My part is to trust that He will not work forever ... but that He will be done.

Envy begets in the soul a want of charity for our neighbor
Produces a spirit of detraction

our eyes are on the prize

it's been almost one year since our members at there jobs were locked outside
but 32 BJ doesn't back down, we don't bend over and sure as hell don't hide
we stand strong in our convictions, we stand firm in our resolve
and our eyes are on the prize until we get this contract situation solved

so we say this to management, "we're not going away"
we are 32BJ and in your face we will stay
so let go of your selfish greed you need to simply see
we're more than just a union we are family

and as we stand here today in protest of the injustice that's been done
we are claiming the victory for the battle has been won
eventually manangement will comprehend and come to realize
we are 32 BJ and our eyes are on the prize

In All Things Give Thanks

"In All Things Give Thanks"

It's 5 A.M. another day.
That clock! It didn't ring!
Slow as I am what can I say...
My behind's in a sling!

I've got to hurry! Where's my Keys!
The water's COLD!! Good Grief!
No toilet paper...Where's my Keys!
Run in my hose...Good Grief!

The toast burning...Where's my Keys!
"Yes Sir, I'm on my way."
Well, true if I could find my keys...
What's in this coffee--Hey!!

Who would have thought...I found my Keys!
Oh no! You've got to start.
Oh, come on baby. Pretty please...
Yes! Now! Off to Wal-Mart!

Cain't show with a run in my hose.
Oops! I better slow down...
Doin' 20 over...on the nose.
Now what! Just move around!

This isn't Sunday don't you know!
Come on! Get off the road!
You gonna drive or watch a show!
Where's your card you old toad?!

Get the ...well now that's more like it.
I'm just gonna be late.
Thought I's gonna have to hike it...
Could have been there at this rate!

What's all those flashing lights ahead?
          'A multiple car crash...
Said, sev'ral people may be dead'...
Everywhere there was trash.

It's 9 A.M. this very same day.
That clock...it didn't ring...
Or I'd be up there--dead--I'd say...
Had not Angles 'fixed' things.

Humble pie (taking back my empire)

Here is the masterplan of the 3 comings
of your second coming

If there are any musicians that would like to work for jesus
now accepting resumes

you would be working for a record label
where all profits go to charity
to end world hunger
and poverty

Your albums will be intelligently composed riddles
made out of songs
so when a fan figures out
the important thing you have written for them to discover
they can send the answer via fanmail
for swag

If the fans continue to do their homework
eventually they will stumble upon
an invitation to one of the three comings
disguised as a huge rock show more elaborate and more well thought out
than woodstock

This will eventually lead men in circles to their enlightenment
which we will mastermine
to hopefully end all wars

a great and secret show
with a word to get what you came for
The whole time we are playing for the experience of a lifetime
a 7day work week of taking turns
living one of god's several birthdays

the other music industries
proof of being able to turn the other cheek
so they can work with intelligence and the military
to resolve many problems
and prove they are indeed a part of keeping society safe

when it all comes together reality mind change her mind
about herself
playing matchmaker like cupid
might be how you find your soul mate
if it comes to your sex life
go ask the pope
i can cancel the whole thing

Do We Have An Example Just ONE

Do We Have An Example?

Do we have an example of those
 who aren’t afraid to say…
“I’m going to bow my head
 to the Lord and pray.”

Do we have an example of those with a like mind?
To be respectful, courteous and kind?

Do we have an example of those who’ll take a stand?
Against the tide of evil
all throughout this land?

Do we have an example? Just one person?
Who’ll live by the Bible…
And apply it’s lessons?

Do we have an example of those
 to teach the younger generation…
Living for God will give us a solid foundation?

Do we have an example? Anyone to be found?
Who’ll spread the gospel
to every city and town?

Do we have an example? Can we look to YOU?
Who’ll try to live the way Jesus wants us to?

Can we find an example? With the courage to live?
Being Christ example with the power to FORGIVE!

Can we find an example? Let me make this point.
There’s Jesus! And he will NEVER disappoint!

Can we trust this example? Most assuredly YES!
In HIM can you find a security,
 a peace and a REST!

Will you be an example? And give your life to him?
And experience what it means to be “born again!”

His example of love can be yours and mine…
Won’t you give HIM a chance?
  While there’s still time?

HYPOCRITE

I WAS A CHRISTIAN A LONG TIME
BEFORE I BECAME A TRUE CHRISTIAN
AND I KNEW THE WORD, AND MAN!!!
COULD I TALK THE TALK...
BUT I WAS JUST BEING, RELIGIOUS
WITH MY "JESUS SAVES" PLATE, ON MY CAR
JUST BEING A HYPOCRITE, KNOWING,
I DON'T WALK THE WALK
SO PROUD OF THE KNOWLEDGE, I HAD IN THE WORD
WHEN KNOWLEDGE, IS NEVER, ENOUGH
MY DEEDS WERE EXTERNAL...CONVICTION, ELUDED MY HEART
THE CHURCH WORK I DID, WAS WITHOUT THE RIGHT MOTIVES
I DID IT TO BE IN THAT, "CIRCLE"
BUT ALL DONE IN VAIN, FOR NOWHERE, DID GOD PLAY A PART

I WAS JUDGMENTAL, AND I CRITICIZED
THE MEMBERS ATTENDING MY CHURCH
SHOOK HANDS WITH THE PASTOR, BUT GOD KNOWS, I SPOKE ON HIM TOO!
ONE FOOT IN THE KINGDOM, AND ONE IN THE WORLD
WITH TOO MUCH WORLD NOW IN THE CHURCH
EXPOSING MY HEART THROUGH MY FOUL MOUTH AND THINGS THAT I DO
MY SERVICE TO GOD WAS ALL USELESS
'CAUSE REMEMBER, MY MOTIVES, WERE WRONG
AND GOD HAD TO WORK ON MY ATTITUDE, TO CHANGE MY WAYS...
AND WITH TIME, I BECAME A TRUE CHRISTIAN
WHO WALKS IN HIS LOVE AND HIS LIGHT
I LIVE TO PERFORM HIS GOOD WILL, FOR THE REST OF MY DAYS

AMEN!

HISTORY OF THE PROTESTANT CANON 11022011

The difference in the Catholic
Protestant Bibles arose in the following manner
The jews living in the few centuries before Christ
Were divided into two groups

The Jews dwelling in Palestine, speaking Hebrew
And the large number of Jews scattered
Throughout the Roman Empire, speaking the Greek language
Consequence of the conquest of Alexander the Great of Greece

Ministry

Time has flown by,
those years I’ve spent in the parish;
a treasure-trove of mem’ries
awash with meanings and satisfactions.

Ministry came out as a priority
nourished and developed; a constant effort.
with friends around, prayers to say;
God, indeed, is so good.

How my ministry has grown
with the evolving deal of immersion
with people that I walk with
or with my prayers every day;
a journey, indeed, a continuing struggle.

But life has been kind to me
notwithstanding my disappointments somewhere;
it’s with optimism to keep going,
to have a positive outlook and determination.

Ministry is vital, a coherent rationale
for the clergy, religious or lay workers;
a great commitment, a sublime calling,
mindful of their people, generous to their actions.

Religion

We can understand religion generally
Mean a relationship to what is divine
A religious person acknowledges something divine
As the power created him/her
The world
On which is he/she is dependent
To which he/she is ordered
He/she wants to please
Honor the divinity by his/her way of life

Works

Like wine which efferveses within the glass
is your own love to me
it fills my heart and bubbles up
rising when you I see

Its movements effect whats hidden within
to be seen in what I do
know this my love its welling up
its focus is on you

When you are given a gift so grand
what with it would be
upon its presence within your life
its will effecting thee

It's hard to tell if it's mine or yours
or what its work does move
I only know not to let it go
until its work does prove

Can't be so minor if it stirs my thoughts
but let its movements be
its works are placed within my heart
to love you eternally

Matthew 22:37-39 NIV

with all your heart and with all your soul
and with all your mind.’ This is the first and
greatest commandment. And the second is
like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

DETERMINATION OF THE BIBLE CANON 11022011

The time the books of the New Testament were written
Many other pious stories
Legends relating to Christ
And His times were also widely circulated

As a result
In the early centuries of the Church
There was some confusion and doubt to which books are inspired
And biblical and which are not

As far as known
It was the Council Hippo in A.D. 393
First determined which books were inspired
And were to be included in the bible canon

In every respect identical with the canon of the Council of Trent
Subsequent Councils confirmed this decision and the Council of Trent in 1546
Formally canonized all the traditional books of the Bible
These books comprise to believe that all passages of all books are equally inspired

Discussions with a deity

Discussions with a deity

Let’s talk about G-d
Let’s talk about your connection with G-d
Let’s talk about Him/It and
How you converge here in
This public forum
In this place of G-dlyness
Let’s walk in to the holy of holies
And proclaim our worth
And right
Together
Here, holding hands

Let’s talk about kosher
Let’s talk about candles
Let’s talk about when you
Decided you would/wouldn’t
Eat with G-d’s thanks on your food
Prepare the table
Smell the spices
How the wandering and the diaspora
Grabbed your innate senses
And rebelled

Let’s catagorise prayer, practice
And life and judge ourselves
And each other as we walk precariously
On the path of the land

Love vanished

Seven years have passed
since first I married him
Whence he succombed his bride
Yet when I told him of babe we’d due
it felt our love just withered up and died

For the man he changed,
no, the child we had not planned
Pushed me around until to others ashamed I lied
I’d fallen, or bumped myself again,
backed him up, supported him, everything denied.

When babe was born,
I thought we’d learn to love
Try to make things work together with pride
But now cut off from all my friends in time,
it’s nursing I only now that I must bide.

Although I raise our child
I am so sad, my life has stopped,
when they play up I fret that you will chide
and fear that you’ll know not of when to stop
Frightened, huddled close we rock, we hide.

Once grown up, at school a freedom found,
whilst you’re at work – your daily grind.
Lucky new friend we find to guide
us back to safety relieved, released.
Apart, I know head high that I had tried.

Bonds

I was raised in a prison of darkness
along walls of cement have I groped
the hearts here deep scarred and callous
no dreams of a child had I hoped

Starved for affection and famished
though surrounded by people alone
sixty four rooms I could roam in
but that place was never a home

Just one more workhouse to live in
my duties to serve and to clean
no pay for the labor was given
I was here to work and be not seen

I could go days with seeing no parents
went to school and to work and to bed
my breakfast was in my room coffee
the feral cat entertained in the shed

This building has so many toilets
even the master one I must clean
I drop like a stone in my bed at night
I sleep so deeply to dead to dream

Though I live now this place with my father
it's no different than with strangers I slept
they too used me like a work horse
their houses the places I kept

Somewhere was lost to me childhood
not a human soul I could trust
I do not know love it is fiction
as into this life I was thrust

There were times I wished mother successful
where in the peace of death I would sleep
the pain of knowing I'm unwanted
was to much for this child to keep

I suppose it's this very reason
I recognize the true face of Love
the nigh hundred people I lived with
qualify not of that place to be of

I've been exposed to violence on children
and all their secrets I can confide
recognize the damage it does you
and those who these secrets do hide

It is easy to remain lost here
where no true tracks be seen on your road
where life has not direction or guidance
and one is broken by the weight of its load

But there are so many rooms in this prison
and each every one has its own trap
the master of death who has forged them
place these obstacles in every path

So while your searching for life and its answers
the only one worthy to steadfastly teach
should exist every day in your dealings
and your connections from greatest to least

I'll not care about the labor I give you
as long as love my load is light
we will share in living together
in our unity we can delight

I learned to take care of your body
but it takes two for the care of the soul
I could live alone here without you
but it's the sharing that makes us whole...

Flight

Tiny humming birds
Buzzing like bees
Fluttering fast
Fluctuating
Flying like a fleet of
Helicopters sucking
Up cargo

Red and black flowers
pollinated by
crews of workers
not colliding but collectively
Cooperating
a church on mission
absorbing, ingesting
cadre of co-laborers

Elaborating on service
A herd of helpers
Feeding, fashioning,
Fueling and feeling
Harmoniously humming
Purposed performers

Tiny humming birds
Buzzing like bees
Fluttering fast
Flying like a fleet of
Helicopters delivering

Light at the end of the tunnel

there is light at the end of the tunnel
no matter how dark things may seem
there is light at the end of the tunnel
no matter how bad things have been
the horizon may look cloudy for some time
but after the rain God will make the sun shine
there is light at the end of the tunnel
so to your faith hold on tight
there sometimes may be a slight shadow of darkness
but God won't fail to show his Light
there is light at the end of the tunnel
even when the enemy tries to make us whimper or groan
Hold on to God for in any storm of life with him you will never walk alone. Amen.

James hold on tight in theese tough times my son, hold on to Gods promises
the enemy comes to try to kill steal and destroy our faith but God won't let you down,
hang in there and all things will work out for the good.

We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the
called according to his purposr. Romans 8: 28

Jesus Gave To Me What Drugs Could Never Give

There was a time when I felt so lonely and forsaken.
Everything I had was either gone or taken.

I lost all hope and had no place to stay.
Just trying to get through another day.
I thought that drugs would give me what I needed.
The “danger signs” in life, I no longer heeded.

I soon learned about “joints” and “tricks.”
All I lived for, was to get “another fix.”
I felt no right or wrong, no guilt or shame.
Then one night an “angel of mercy” called my name.
“Jesus loves you” were whispered
into my ear.
Without help-I knew—death was so near!

This “angel” gave me a place to rest my head.
He seen that I was clothed, bathed, and fed.
His words were filled with a message of hope.

I soon gave up all of my drugs and dope.
This “angel of God” gave me an invitation.
And soon I received God's wonderful salvation.
I traded my “ashes”for God's mercy and grace.

I now have joy in my heart & a smile on my face.
God's love can do what no drugs could ever do!
He's here right now... He is waiting for YOU!!

The Price of Faith 11122011

… WHAT YOUR CHILDREN MIGHT BE PRESERVED UNHARMED WISDOM 19:5

MY FATHER’S FAMILY left Russia in 1917
At the urging of their parish priest
“If you want to keep your children safe in the faith
Go to America!”

German-Speaking Russians
Soon afterward their 13 year old daughter
Margaret had been raised in the Church
The Family continued to trust in God

Today we honor St. Josaphat, patron of the Ukraine
He was a man who loved his country
Loved his Church even more
Speaking courageously about unity with Rome at a time of schism and division
His bold stand eventually cost him his life

St. Josaphat
Like Margaret’s family, reminds us
That trust in God
Is the only source of true safety

Same Time, Same Place...

Same time
Same place
Different color
Of the face

Same K-12 system
Same university
Different college
Who gained
More knowledge?
Who excelled?
Who got more hell?

Same job
Same school
Same students
Same certification
Different degrees

Who stayed
On their knees?
Both of us
Yes, indeed.
Who achieved
Honestly?
Well let’s see!

Same time
Same place
Different color
Of the face
I made it
By God’s grace
You are
A Satanic disgrace.

You are the
Face of hateful
Hypocrisy
I settle for
None of your
Fallacious foolishness
And malicious mediocrity.

Same hometown
I keep it real
You a damn clown
God’s giving you
A furious frown

A lazy witch
Probably born rich
Living in the sticks
Killing nature’s beauty
Just to get away
From people like me
An earth killer
Fake teacher
And destiny stealer
A true thriller
Makin fake scrilla

I worked hard
While you pressed bricks
Storing awful ATP
To make sure
You got the best of me
And people from my
Community.

My adenosine triphosphate (ATP)
From glycolysis in my body
After Krebs cycle
Gives off love
While yours come
From hate
We’ve had the same bodily
Processes similar chemical makeup
I just have more melanin
You act the way you act
Because of your grandfather’s mistakes

I hate to see your fate
If you don’t change
You are devilish
And deranged
I know your game
Your name
We’re from the same turf
You and I
Are carbon based products
One tries hard daily to be just
So that when the minister
Says ashes to ashes
And dust to dust
That I get the reward
I deserve
You got my reward
I still work hard
My ATP
Detests the enemy

It ain’t fair
That we walked in the same place
Respect you received
And hate slapped me in the face
Walking around with on your face
Did a dissertation on me
If I looked like you
With my knowledge
At 23 I would have had
Ten PhD’s.

Girl please you got the nasty woman disease
Get on your knees for the right reas’
Pray to us Jes’
Save me from being a real bigot
And sometimes on the sly
Help me to love you
And all your creatures
And accept diversity

You need help with that dirty blond hair
Pony tails sticking in the air
Depicting your true savior
Not mine that will catch the one’s
That are still alive and in Him
Up in the midair.

No Salvation outside Catholic Church

From Pentecost forward
Church always taught the necessity
Being formally incorporated to Church
St. Peter, the first pope

Told good Jews, they needed
To be added to Church to be saved
These devout Jews
Were practicing the true religion

St. Peter under the influence of the Holy Spirit
Informed them they needed to believe in Christ
Be baptized into His Catholic Church for salvation
Those who would not heed this teaching

Were not added to their number
Those who were being saved

Do YOU Feel LIke You're Up Against The Wall

Do you feel like "you'e
life's under a curse?"
That things in life "just couldn't
get any worse..."

Do you feel like "everything's been taken?"
You're all alone... And have
 been forsaken...

Do you feel like God has
"turned his back on you?"
You don't know what "in the world
you're going to do..."

Do you feel like no one's
 listening to what you say?
You don't feel like you can make
it through another day.

If you feel this way... I've good news to bring!
Jesus is here now! Waiting to fix everything!

Perhaps you feel like you've
 hit a "dead end."
There is one who is waiting to be your friend.

Do you feel there's no
real hope or a chance?
Jesus can change
your circumstance!

He feels all of your troubles, trials and pain.
And is here now... Why not call on his name?

Feel his goodness and let
him restore our soul.
He'll bring peace to your life
and make you whole!

Feed on his word... And let his spirit in.
He'll meet all of your needs again and again!

In God's direction is where your
life needs to be leaning...
For only he can bring true
hope & meaning!

My World (You say)

In my world
I am the lord
My God made me
I am stronger than rod

Endowed with powers
A man for accomplishment
The pacesetter
The first runner up
Building up to stand up
Moving with courage
Driving with perseverance
Behind motivation
I don't don't need people to tell me what good before i do that
I don't need to do what was done
I don't need to forget about the past, because i still need them for corrections
A wise man forgives the past, but a fool forgets the past
No matter how awful the past must have been,
Future is awesome
No matter what beautiful thing you lost in the past
Bountiful goodies are coming up
Stand up, even when you feel down
Break up if your condition will cause you a breakdown
Do not be stuck
The best way to live life is to move around with target
But he who moves around even with target may still be unsuccessful
With target, you still need focus to achieve
With focus, you know what you seek to achieve
And when you know what you really seek to achieve,
You won't stop at anything until you see what you seek
Those who give up do not understand what they really wanted to accomplish
When you are enlightened of the Joy success gives,
You won't give up until 'success' gives into you
Understand this. It helps make a change

Words Of Expression

I use my own words to express my real feelings. I'd rather express myself by saying what I
have to say than keeping it to myself. Expressing myself by writing poems is like writing
song lyrics on paper. I'm expressing my real feelings to others so that I don't have to
hide them. I have a mind of my own; I am unlike others who don't have anything to say.
Not expressing feelings and not figuring out what to say can hurt one individual's
self-respect and dignity, especially when he or she is ignored constantly. I write poems
of my own because it's fun and it allows me to express myself freely. Everybody should
also express themselves freely and say what they need to say and never hold anything back.
Expressing myself is always a good thing as well and it gives me a positive advantage. I'd
rather say what's on my mind than just losing any opportunity possible. That's why all
people should bring out their thoughts and feelings, and say what's on their minds,
especially he or she has had enough of being blown off or whatever. And if I can express
myself without holding anything back, everybody should do the same thing. I guess I'm not
afraid to express myself after all.

Dark Visions

Have you ever had, Dark Visions? I have, when I was seven or eight
I had a dream one night, That was a nightmare, so vivid and so frightful
fear so intense, I wet the bed. My Father wore a badge and I told him what
happened, and with much insistence we phoned the local authorities. ( Which he knew all of
them) My Dark Vision was of an Airplane a jetliner, on fire, going down.
I saw the flames, faces, colors and style of clothes. I heard screams, pleas to God for
help and prayers. When I woke up I was praying too, in a wet bed. Two days later the FBI
knocked at my door, with questions after questions until they were satisfied. I felt
berated and alone. Thank God for my Dad. Then it hit me their last words to my Father," If
we have any more questions about the accident we'll contact you" it..it..was real, it
really happened. My Dark Vision,,For thirty years I kept my Visions to myself, until one
day at work a friend of mine Marjie came to me and asked me if I saw things, things I
can't explain. I was floored, dumbfounded. I didn't answer. She said" I sense you had a
Vision and saw something you can't explain" How could she know? I said " What do you
mean"? " I sense you had a dream that is troubling you, because it was more than a dream"
Gig's up, so I told her. She told me to write it down always write it down, So I did and
let her see it. 3 days later she came to me with a VCR tape, we were alone in the TV room,
so we played it. Suddenly in an instant I was flooded with the whole Vision, everything I
saw and heard. Shamefully a puddle formed on the floor at my feet, as I shook. Everything,
the Bus, the explosions, faces, the Soldier, the old man in the beret, The red headed
woman in the yellow dress and hat. It was in Israel. She had taped it from the news the
night before, the day it happened. 2 days after my Dark Vision. Now at 48 with many
conversations with my Priest and Spiritual adviser, I realize, what I thought a curse, is
actually a Gift From God. Because I am praying with them in my Dark Visions, I am helping
them. One thing I always remember from them is I tell them God is waiting for you, every
time. Then I wake up.

I believe my being there has brought some comfort to those souls as their end is near.
That comforts me! God does work in mysterious ways..He has in me with...

                                           My Dark Visions!

                                                  Taz

These Are Dificult Times for So Many Without A Job

These Are Difficult Times! These are difficult times, with many frustrations. Many people in hardships and difficult situations! Many are filled with worry and concern. Not really knowing which direction to turn. As more are getting dependent on government. Many without work have lost any kind of fulfillment. While many seek what seems to be the best “plan.” Cries of hopelessness ring throughout the land! I, too, have been without work in the past. Wondering how much longer it would last. The months that went by, turned into years… As I sought assurance for my worries and fears. The only true peace and security I have found. Has brought love, when life came “crashing down.” I found that what really matters the most! Is Jesus! And letting him hold me close! I knew if I lost everything that was around me… God’s presence and peace still surrounds me! He made it very evident and so clear. Whatever happens in life... HE IS ALWAYS HERE! He picked me up when I felt lonely and depressed! With him in my life… I felt comforted and blessed! My problems didn’t disappear in just one day! But through life’s trials… God made a way! Whatever difficulty or problem you may face… Won’t you accept God’s gift of mercy and grace? He can do more than any other power can do! And brings meaning to the words; “I LOVE YOU!” By Jim Pemberton

The Food Of Truth

In the Sacrament of the altar
Lord meets us
Men and women created in God’s image and likeness
Becomes our companion along the way

In this sacrament
The Lord becomes food for us
Satisfy our hunger for truth and freedom
Christ becomes for us the food of truth, since only truth can make us free
.

With deep human insight
St. Augustine clearly showed how we are moved spontaneously
Not by constraint
Whenever we encounter something attractive and desirable

Asking himself, what it is that can move us most deeply?
The saintly Bishop went on to say:
“What does our soul desire more passionately than the truth?”
Everyone of us has innate and irresponsible desire for ultimate and definitive truth, the Lord Jesus, “the way, and truth, and the life”
Speaks to our thirsting, pilgrim hearts
Hearts yearning for the source of life
Hearts longing for truth
Jesus Christ is the truth in person

Drawing the world to Himself
The Sacrament of the Eucharist
Jesus shows us in particular the truth about love
The very essence of God

It is evangelical truth which challenges each of us and our whole being
The Church, which finds in the Eucharist the very center of her life
Constantly concerned to proclaim that God is love
Christ has become for us the food of truth

Church turns to every man
Woman
Inviting them freely
To accept God’s gift

Honor To Mother Mary is Honor To Father Christ

“The honor of the Mother reflects on Father Christ”
“Whatever honor and praise are given to the Mother bounces to the Son”
“The honor given to the Queen bestowed on the King”
The Honor we give to the Mother of the Lord was referred to Him Who was made incarnate (personified) of her”

The Mother is honored for her Son’s sake”
“Indeed in loving Mother Mary, we honor Eternal God”
“We will never love her as He loved her”
Father Christ was the first to honor her as His mother
“We will never be able to equal with which Father Christ loved her”

Face of Pain

Have love in the face of pain
See emotions walk pride and flame
Deeper than mistakes in chains
Have love in the face of moods
Wear moody boots
Pregnant by popular demand
Roots are watered by creativity

Be woods on isolated deserts
Light the fire
Be cool and sharpen your lips on door steps
Have love in the face of age
Make unstoppable keyboards turn into walking words

A4's have played their role with no bones
Feed your pages with fatness unless you are less fortunate
Obesity should worry your rhymes and spitting timetable on stages
Not bones on pages
My body grows brunches of spoken words i used to be skinny
Hang on to my face of other faces and windy decisions
Screw the teary background its in the past

I tailor made my coffin long before my resurrection
Have love in the face of pain
I love my fat words
I deep kiss them in all deep freezers
Cold words iced for future party moods
Say the same thing in different trousers and dresses
Walk in matrix
Let them get more puzzled
Have love in the face of pain

Love left them hanging in the air
They rained tears but pain was blur and cloudy
Pain buried himself under pleasurable bedroom eyes
Pain sneaked in the dark and paused on her promising eyes
I am you in this Poetry
Never wash your face before my words

Remember my seeds
The fruits planted on concrete brains
Left to grow strength and passion
Love seeks more woods and light to walk its blindness sometimes
The protective jelly
Smoothly rubbed to take away skin value

The Fathers Handiwork

The Father’s Handiwork ” 1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. 2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.” Gen 2:1-3 NIV The Christian truly appreciates The Father’s handiwork of nature; Perceives His love in every twinkling star; Every beautiful, still lake a picture. He sees His love in every flower bud, Shrub and each variety of tree. Gives thanks with adoration For each mountain, river and sea. God speaks to us in His word, But His nature speaks as well. A continuous love story Each creation to man does tell. So often in his hussle and bussle, Man glazes over God’s love; Fails to see his many blessings Flowing from God’s throne room above. Man is often perplexed By the number of his cares. He stresses over little things; Feels the whole world he bears. But this is truly not the case; The Father watches over us all. His handiwork’s so complex From the ant hill to mountains tall. The Father’s Handiwork of nature Is so intricate in its design, Only God can create such order Amongst His creatures at one time. Every bird that sweetly sings And every bee that visits His flowers, Has the Father’s creative design connection It belongs to God, it's not ours! I Think Too Much

Ive always been different,
Worked out for me,
Never fit in,
My ways hard to see,

Been told I think too much,
Maybe some don't think enough,
To achieve goals in life,
Gotta make touch decisions, be tough,

Been with my man 12 years,
I've always loved him
Cause I wont sign a paper,
I get *****and various disapproving grins
No reason to have presidents tied together,
Our love doesn't need to be gov. stamped,
It's meant to last forever,

Working for him 5 years,
Entreprenuer status I admire,
Motivation, drive, optimism, and passion,
These qualities in a boss, you'd never grow tired,
I get those looks, people think I'm dumb,
For believing this dream will ever come true,
It's coming along, it's coming along, now it's actually happening,
You'll apologize later, there's nothing else I'd rather do

When we talked rings,
Made it clear no blood diamonds,
Life's too precious for a pretty rock,
Why did something so inhumane have to happen?
Lab created, that's my request,
Got the Diana style, Simply the best,
When I look at my hand I only see beauty,
Couldn't support a rock coming from the line of duty

Reason to Rejoice 11032011

REJOICE WITH ME BECAUSE I HAVE FOUND THE COIN I LOST LUKE 15:9

WHEN MY FRIEND CALLED to tell me the story of how she lost
One of her expensive hearing aids
It sounded similar of the lost coin
Diane described how she had taken care of 5 or 6 errands in a day

During that time she placed her hearing aids in her pocket
When she returned home
One of them was missing
Diane hurried back to all places she had been

Retracting every step she searched for the precious item
Her voice held such amazed joy and gratitude
As she related the moment of actually finding the tiny hearing aid
No wonder Jesus used a story of losing and finding something of value to describe the joy God has over “one sinner who repents

When I hesitate to let go of an old hurt
Avoid repenting of my wrong doings
I hope the memory of my friend’s enthusiastic discovery
Will nudge me to give the Holy One another reason to rejoice

Setting Aside Distractions 11112011

ON THAT DAY, A PERSON WHO IS ON THE HOUSETOP AND WHOOSE BELONGINGS ARE IN THE HOUSE MUST NOT GO DOWNTO GET THEM, AND LIKEWISE A PERSON IN THE FIELD MUST NOT RETURN TO WHAT WAS LEFT BEHIND LUKE 17:31

A FRIEND FORWARDED me a silly “chain” email recently that read
“If your house caught fire
You only had time to grab one thing before getting out to safety
What would it be?

I believe it offered the stipulation that your family could all get out on their own
The point of this guery was to help you gauge what one material object
Holds the most meaning for you
A photo album? A computer? A piece of jewelry?

The point of this Gospel passage is that when the choice is between God and anything else there should be no contest
If we are too bogged down with our stuff
Whether those material objects
Interior anxieties or superficial glitz

We could miss the ways God is inviting us
To be agents for creating better world
Try to set aside all distractions for an hour or two
See what you are missing!

Wisdom 13:1-9 * Psalm 19:2-5

Our Promise

Dear Judy Konos,
          OUR PROMISE
Don't think We're down--You're country, tis of thee
For which our Flags been woven and unfurled,
this very thread, it binds us constantly,
becoming still the envy of the world.

In fifty states we grew to all we are,
and though some think God's guidance is not there,
this truth comes shining through in every Star;
Our Liberty of life shows ever'rywhere.

To tell the world, Come you, and learn our way,
there is no secret to how we have grown,
and in God's light, God's light is where we stay,
to guide you to what we have only known.

between each line, God's word is meant to share,
and "We the People..." is what keeps it there.

Jesus Christ Deal

Eternal Father saw outnumber of people’s sins
Sad with what He created
He wanted to destroy the world
People hurting each other

Jesus Christ stopped Him
Told the Father He would go down to earth
Take People’s cruelty
To start His power over people

He told the Father people would understand
Ransom Himself
Just don’t destroy the world
Believed people to be one

Eternal Father searched a woman
To conceive and bear a Son
Angiel Gabriel spoke to Mary
You have found favor from God

Holy Spirit will shine over you
You are to name Him Jesus Christ
He will save people from their sins
To save destruction of the world

Jesus Christ created a Church
For People to be Universal
People don’t understand
In there people are saved

What are these other churches?
In there you are not saved
Don’t be fooled
By the Christ’s like religions

There is only one
Deal to the Father
Be Universal to His Church
Roman Catholic

To understand the Two Greatest Commandments
“Love God all your mind, heart, body and soul”
Second is “Love your neighbor as yourself”
When we love our neighbor, Covers the 1st Greatest Commandment

Other Churches are misleading people
Thought they love Jesus Christ
Person who created their Church
Was the person they believed and loved

Jesus Crist is very hurt
People don’t know in His Church
You’re saved
In others you’re condemned

Reflection

We may fool ourselves but not our Lord and Savior
Will we meet his eyes at peace with our own behavior?

The little lie, the hidden truth might be written in the sky
Each little act of deception, will it be reflection in his eye?

Can we see others faults yet close the door to our own
When we reach the end can we show we have truly grown?

Will we be ready to accept responsibility for our action?
Will things said and done to others be a sobering distraction?

If I have power do I use it for helping others succeed?
Do we take advantage of others to satisfy our own need?

Of Cashiers and Cutters

Each day that I go to work,
I feel like I’m a zombie…
The smiling faces I put on are all just an act.

At the end of the day my jaw hurts from putting on these fake smiles,
The smile that seemed to be permanently glued to my face…slowly fades.
I’m tired of making petty conversation, when I couldn’t give a damn…

But I guess it could be worse…
I could be that girl, the one I used to see every Thursday…
The one with razor-blade scars on her arms that made my stomach coil…

I’d ask her for her bonus card, casually, like everything was okay…perfectly normal…
She would hand it to me…cautiously, her hands always shaking.
I felt sorry for her…

No…I will not show her pity…
She’s probably sick of hearing everybody’s sympathetic nonsense…
No one can really understand unless they’ve been through it…

I can only imagine…but I too have felt like ending my own misery…
Sometimes I think of how I could change it all…
How I could change this ridiculous routine that I call my life…

But then I think twice and remember what I have…
And then I thank my lucky stars that I’m smart enough to reconsider this…
Something so selfish and cowardice as suicide…

Then, my smile becomes real…
No more fake, happy-masks…I do give a damn…
I am truly thankful for what I have…

I am grateful for the job, home and loving family that I have …
I am also thankful that I have enough faith in God…
Enough faith that I would never take the life that was given to me…

Faith is not something to be taken lightly.
It’s something not all people have…
Something that this girl may not have had…

This job…only temporary,
I know I can move on…my life could be worse, but it isn’t,
I’ve taken so much for granted, its time to say “thanks.”

~ Cry of the Muse ~

Of-gentle beginning-and tender song ... ! That we would gratify love in its truest affection. Stand stead fast- uphold it yield to no other-duty ... ! To-have our-souls' so-identified-unified coexisting- exclusively-mid-this ... . To-live, would I die to give the measure of my-soul- just-to-have this ... once ... ! So place me within, make me the-essence of-the-art- lay me down carry me off- as I would be a child lost amid the grandeur- of its promise ... ! Allow this ink to consume us be the genuine eminence, what we reach-for through the humble virtue, heart-of this quill ... ! So all may view soar higher, and even higher still. Be captured, taken within deep- far and away beyond- the bitter part of this world, into the true benignity, flourishing and forever evolving, amid themselves ... ! Yes help me build me up, mold me-yes- come find me ... ! Trick me friend by slight of hand bend me- yes break me down shatter me again, and again truly I care-not ... ! Fill this paper in-its preparedness ... innocence ... verity, hope ... with the sweet passion elation of our souls ... ! Yes carry me before this-vision ... ! Restrain me-not ... . Set our-soul-free ... ! Please ... ? That we may gratify love-uphold it. Yes yield-then ... only-beauty ... ! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Author notes Written to the (Braveheart) theme By: Enya The expression of this poem was written from within the greater depths, of my soul. It was a cry of my muse. The passion beside which I stand and the hope through which I write. The joy we both carry for the other, and peace and faith in each other, in which we abide. Before this writing my muse had taken a vacation. So willing, I am open to suggestion. ~ Thank you for reading this piece of my work ... God bless you ... (The reason that there are Hyphens "so many of them") is because I have a computer that speaks them with a faster and slower and higher and lower pitch of voice, giving a certain kind of ebb-and-flow to the work with a softer more fervent and realistic and consistent tone, when I use the hyphens and other punctuation in the certain places that I do, when in telling it what to do. Allowing it to speak in even a moderate voice if I choose. It sounds very free flowing when I hear it, and I can only hope that you will be able to here it in the same way. Thank you for reading and God bless you ... ~

Surreal Steps

In the shower I start to cry
Tears of joy,
All the sad ones have dried

Feels amazing to feel loose ends sewing together
Imagine in a few years, my blanket will be jammed pack
Unattainable dreams I had as a child
Will actually come true, just seems too wild

You work hard and harder and even harder
Eventually it pays off
The fresh oxygen seems surreal
When you do it for love or purpose
All the work seems like no big deal

Hard work makes for clearer mirrors,
The lines and wrinkles show proof your honest and sincere
No need for makeup, just take care of yourself
Positivity is a magnet, a power stronger than you will provide stampedes of help

Most millionaires don't appear by some lucky lad rubbing a bottle
Took one man, or two men
Or one idea that took hours of work and dedication to iron out
Those who call it overnight success
They just benefit from others work, but are too lazy to put forth their best

The fire of “I can and will” outlives the sparks of “one day”
When progress is made, makes that fire grow stronger and willful
Doesn't matter what anyone else wants you to do or say.
They can complain, they can save money, they can do whatever they want
It gets harder to empathize for them when lazy ways start to taunt.

In a world where many judge significance by your employer
You dare start something new, they're your new destroyer
Some will pick you apart or turn their heads which can make you blue
But your doing something they'd never do, making your dreams true

Whatever you don’t find its trapped somewhere inside my mind

I put my life into words for the whole world to read

I hope you enjoy what you see

A South Korean English teacher by night

An avid writer by day

A helpless romantic somewhere in between

The smile and joy from my students is priceless

Seeing someone enjoy my writings is pretty rewarding as well

I feel that everything in my life is finally going well

From my writings you may find that hard to tell

Sorry I don’t write more fantasies or fables

To convey happy emotions and attract more followers

You are getting my life through my eyes

I don’t have a sweet tooth so I don’t sugarcoat things

I write what I have seen and how it has effected me

My adventures and journeys have been vast

Come with me on this ride

Together we can both be pleasantly surprised

With what I will write

This is the the man that I am

I Am Off To Buy A Suit Today

I am off work to buy a suit today.
For I have a funeral to soon attend.
I think a black suit or maybe a gray.

I must look for help to find my way,
To my one suit of grief to buy and then--
I am off work to buy a suit today.

Then in my closet, I hope it shall stay
A fancy fig leaf from a darken bin
I think a black suit or maybe a gray.

Only we the living will have a say
Of the coat or dress in which to ascend
I am off work to buy a suit today.

We will need no attire with grand array
A farewell costume for a departing friend.
I think a black suit or maybe a gray.

It is for the dead we can only pray
While we the living must wait to attend.
I am off work to buy a suit today
I think maybe black or a stately gray.

Here I Stand

Here I stand, a lonely man, Aimless wandering with out a plan, Planet Earth is where I roam, The last frontier I call my home, Ever searching for the truth, Growing wiser since my youth, Family and friend are all you need, My advice, I insist, you heed, Though love seems to heal, Make certain that love is real, If it wasn't meant to be, Lock it up and hide the key, Don't let the pain get you down, Someday your key will be found, When that day comes to show, Happiness in you will grow, When it comes to school and work, Try your hardest not to shirk, Pay attention in your class, Don't do your work half-gassed, Respect others, respect yourself, Respect time, respect health, In general, just have respect, Evil temptations you must reject, Don't spend time being depressed, Thoughts of stress you can suppress, Be the best you can be, The price of happiness isn't free, Stay clean, resist relapse, True freedom, you will grasp, Sound the trumpets, crack a Pabst.

THE APOCRYPHA 11022011

Those books which were rejected by the Council of Hippo
Being non-biblical belong to what is called the Apocrypha
These books of the Bible
They are often well worth reading as they offer much historical information

Not otherwise available
However
Some of these stories
Slightly heretical tendencies

The Catholic use of the word “Apocrypha”
Defined aboveShould be distinguished from the incorrect Protestant use of the word
Protestants use this term to designate the seven books of the Bible included in the Catholic Bible canon

But not accepted or found in Protestant Bibles
These seven books are
Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach
1 and 2 Maccabees and parts of Esther and Daniel

Protestants call the books
Found in the Catholic

Redemption means to buy back again

Get Dressed

If you're too tired too eat the meat
Grow a backbone and stand on your own two feet

Doesnt' happen in a minute
Doesn't happen in an hour
Works like soaking in marinade
Longer it sits,
More flavor is added to the taste of power

Lips and a voice allow you to speak
Ears allow you to hear
Eyes allow you to see
You'd rather ignore these miraculous gifts
While you relax and drink a beer

You wake the next day
Disappointed that you've settled for a job you hate
Get dressed, drive to work
Life is too short for this..common!
Why do you wait?

No wonder you keep yourself so well groomed
You've got nothing else to offer, you feel doomed
That mentality wont get you down the block
Take a sick day and learn to play with sidewalk chalk

Money isn't the root of all evil
It's greedy people that want to be in histories sequel.

Are You Having An Affair

I don't think many people
are aware...
of the dangers of having
"an affair."

Adultery begins with a lustful thought
captured in the mind.
It's been part of sins's curse,
 since the beginning of time.

Many aren't sure how they're
 going to react.
Until the day they're caught
 in an adulterous act.

By this time... they're love for
 their spouse is broken.
When the words; "I love you"...
 to another... are spoken.

Soon... their home become
"turned around" and divided.
As their commitment and loyalty
become undecided.

The family soon become "
one huge mess..."
As the love "for another person"
becomes "obsessed."

You may find yourself in this
kind of situation.
Perhaps you're in
 "deep desparation."

Run from this person as
fast as your can!
Come to the cross and
reach for Jesus' hand!

Confess your sin to your spouse
 and call on Jesus' name.
You have only yourself...
no one else... to blame.

Allow Jesus to 100% be
the Lord of your life.
As you brings you together
as husband and wife!

Let him restore your marriage
and make it complete.
Come to him now and
lay your sin at his feet.

His love in your marriage is
forever and binding!
His commitment to you is
a love worth finding!

What do we mean by grievous matter

By ‘grievous matter’ with regard to sin mean that the thought
Word or deed which is committed must be either bad in itself
Or severely prohibited
And therefore sufficient to make a mortal sin if we deliberately yield to it

Lists of complaints
wrapped into the perfect metaphor
everything wrong with the world around me
similar microcosm of our universe
Dear Shadowfiend
when is my homework due?
In the midst of spelling mistakes
of supposed war messages
what was wrong
what to fix
and hints as to the world of compromise

Lists of lists of possible sins and lies
lists of lists of complications and arguments over compromise
hints in the midst of the riddles of metaphors to decipher
of what is actually wrong
i can't hear you
the maggot in my ear
isn't allowing me to reach out
dirty nails of the clean church
starting at the end working backwards

Lists of complaints
whats wrong with my life
whats wrong with hers and his
and yours
complictaions to simplify
all the problems addictions and perversions
man's plan of the setting sun
heal my shadows
as you stalk the chaos
and homework will be due by the dawn of armageddon

thinking caps on
how to hate and not to catch on
dampening wildfires to make life fair
one mixed message at a time
different pages
one imperfect man all screwed up

Dear shadowfiend
the lists of our complaints is our deck stacked against us
thanks for the time to think
slow it down
blue print for the perfect mind
and plan for the tricks up our sleeves

Dear shadowfiend
now that you did it
I can do it better
with less mess
and more perfect
thanks for the pulitzer

Time

Being shackled to a couple of dead man than thrown off from a boat
The river Styx is so polluted with lost and abandonned souls
Screaming bullets riddle the twighlight piercing holes into the night
Incarseration within a bubble ready to burst inside my mind
The language barrier has thickened as communication begins to die
Am I being disassembled, disconnected, sent to a desert and classified
Because I am nothing but an empty shell a former image of myself
Just give my hands a steal bible and watch me live through hell
Where prayers echo into the infinate but are as shallow as a cell
So sit upon your angry chair where noone cares to hear the stories that you tell
The Deciever likes to whisper the wrong choices into my ear
But I believe remorse leads to redemption so I shall not fear
You see I am not frightened by darkness and I am not afraid of heights
I was nurtured in a dark womb and since birth Ive been reaching for the sky
Peripheral vision is no illusion because I can see you by my side
Just give me the stripes that I came for and let me do my time

Our Dream

My wife and I have a dream
to open a hair salon as a team

Some people think it will fail
going to start small then go full-scale

With a shampoo,haircut and blowdry
all we can is do give it a try

It wont be easy, but it wont be hard
I will be making a flyer and a business card

We have set the plan in action
waiting until we see their reaction

With all this red tape, you want to scream
but we can't give up,this is our dream

Questions

Have you ever asked yourself the question where would you be...
If all day you slept or kicked it in the streets...
In a life made by you disappointed at me...
Because everyday I worked, because money looks better you see...
The moral of my story is you earn what you work...
So in order to avoid controversy you better dig for your worth...
However you do the work that you choose...
Pay close attention cause all work has its dues...
ASK GOD FOR GUIDANCE AND GOOD WORK YOU WILL CHOOSE...
So the next time you question where would you be...
Quit asking yourself and ask G.O.D...

Deepening Our Union with God 10042010

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of Wisdom
Prudent are all who live by it Psalm 111:10

AREN’T WE SUPPOSED TO have gotten past fear-motivated worship and
Punishment-avoidance spirituality?
Didn’t God-as-Big-Brother step aside for God-as-Loving-Father?
But is it not “fear of the Lord”
Still one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit that we receive at our Baptism

Affirm in our Confirmation?
Jewish and Christian scholars alike have wrestled with the Hebrew phrase Yirah Adonai
Offering varied and rich commentaries
Recurrent among the interpretations

“Fear of the Lord”
Means “awe and reverence”
As in this context
“Fear”

Can also refer to what we feel when we love someone
Deeply that we would do anything in the world not to hurt him or her
Or damage our relationship with love-ones

Taken together
Both meanings offer us profound
Wisdom towards growing each day in
Ever-deepening our union with God

THE BIBLE NEEDS AN INTERPRETER 11022011

The Bible is extremely difficult to understand
Even by Bible scholars
It was written in languages long dead
In the manner and idiom of the time

To interpret the Bible the Bible
It is not only necessary to understand the languages in which the Bible was written
But to understand the languages in which the Bible was written
Had the time they were written

The Bible, Therefore has to be understood
And for Catholics, the Church
Guided by the Holy Spirit
Is the official guardian and infallible interpreter of the Bible

Dreams of mighty mansions In heaven given birth. To work for earthly wealth, You work now in vain. For all will disappear; To be rebuilt once again. Work with the Holy Spirit, Souls forthwith to win, That you might know in heaven, Precious souls freed from sin. No greater work can your hands find, Whilst living here on earth. Where satisfaction is sublime; Greatest rewards of great worth. With God all things are possible, No matter what the numbers. With God all things are possible; It’s the wonder of all wonders! The Cleansing of the table 11092011

HE MADE A WHIP OF CORDS AND DROVE THEM ALL OUT OF THE TEMPLE AREA. JOHN 2:15

PART OF OUR CHRISTIAN witness in the world
To model the behavior of Jesus
We know all about this great acts of compassion and mercy
He taught us to be kind and forgiving

We know about turning the other check and loving our enemies
Rarely do we think of Jesus filled with anger
Acting on that anger as he does in the cleansing of the temple
It is never good to let our emotions get the best of us

To allow our anger free rein
But any devoted follower of Christ can
Should rise up in the face of defilement as Jesus did
When he drove the money changers from his Father’s house

Anger (like love) is a powerful God-given emotion to injustice
Where we need to be concerned
When our anger turns violent
Is confused with revenge

God of love and mercy, hear our prayers.

Strong echoes

In today’s highlight of moral issues:
leadership of clergy in the Catholic Church;
seen as a major backlog of urgent need
that came out as the topic of our guest speaker.

She’s Dr Monica Applewhite, Ph.D.
who presented ‘leadership’ in perspective
held at St Joseph’s Seminary in Yonkers;
a huge place, a better rendezvous for this event.

Understanding the problem as the first item
brought us to embrace our roles as priests;
safe environments for children and adolescents
the main issue that was explored and shared.

The clergy of the whole archdiocese of New York
attended this session with learning experience;
it’s an update and a continuing information
that Church’s faith points to a shared witness.

With the presence of our beloved Cardinal Egan
who reinforced a plea for his clergy people,
alertness, action, vigilance and prayer
that’s how he drew the process in a nutshell.

Defined as a decision that demands seriousness,
our discipleship, our calling entails commitment;
as men of God in service to his own people,
our priority has its share of sorrows and joys.

To battle with the world, the flesh and the devil,
these are constant forces, tests and trials;
involved in this journey of following him,
Christ, our model and source of inspiration.

The cost of discipleship for someone like me,
embraces situations common to all people
how life is being led with depth and allegiance;
a biblical portrait, a priority matter, that Christ –
has called me to commit and be of service.

It's like theater,
Every one has a part.
And every one has to work together.

It's like art,
Every one has to work together.
And make the picture come to life.

It's like music,
Every one has to sing.
And make the song sound good.

It's like writing,
Every one has to write the words.
And make the words tell the story.

It's like band,
Every one has to play an instrument.
To make the music touch hearts.

It's like dance,
Every one has to do the steps.
To make the steps right.

It's like a puzzle,
All the pieces have to fit.
Not just one or five. But all.

It's like chess,
Every one has to put their skills together.
Like a team work.

It's just like soccer,
Every one has to work together to get the ball in.
Like team work.

It's just like a Christians,
Every one has to work together.
Not just one or five.

We all need to work together.
We all need to help each other.
We all need to witness to each other.

Time and Work

Ecclesiastes 8:6NCV
There is a right time and a right way for everything.
John 6:27
Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life.

We wonder sometimes with great worry about what time will bring. We must remember that
God has given time to us as a gift. God was present at the beginning of time and He will be
present at the end of time.

We cannot fear for the future because it is God's hand on eternity. It is you who dictates
your time by the choices you make. We often feel there is not enough hours in the day to
accomplish our tasks. We often feel there is never any time for ourselves. Remember to ask
God to help you, and He will show you where and how to find the time.

God will put your mind at ease with time. Time is a gift, and everyday is yours. God wants
you to live free and without worry of time. He will walk with us every step of the way every
time.

As all of us on Earth must work to sustain our lives here, we must also remember to work
for our spiritual well being. Your relationship with God will provide you with the food for your
spirit. The food for your spirit is a great variety such as wisdom, understanding, joy, peace,
love, and patience. In this job you have only one boss and that is God. That is a great
comfort in knowing you have such a great boss as God. This is a perfect side job, working to
feed your spirit. Start your application process now by praying to God. He will surely hire
you and your spirit will be fed.

Sorry if I came here illegally

My country lacked opportunity

So this is how it had to be

Never took anything from you

Paid my taxes just like you

Society let the color of my skin in

But shamed my people and culture

I chased the American dream

As Americans wanted all my people to leave

I adapted to your culture

Your way of life

What more can I do

To say that I truly appreciate the red, white and blue

God's Institutions

God's institutions
Do not fail... his people do.
Some fail to love and forgive;
Some fail to stay faithful, too.
Some fail to stay concerned;
Some fail to step back and review.
Some fail to notice times and seasons.
Some fail to know what to say and do.
Some fail to pray and listen.
Some fail to see and hear their cue.
Some fail to love themselves.
Some fail to make old things new.
Some fail to change and grow.
Some fail to be creative with shape and hue.
Some fail to work and work again.
Some fail to laugh and play, too.
Some fail to hear God's instructions;
Some fail to follow them through.
So, it's not the institution
That crumbles; it's the people that do.

HARD WORK IS HONEST LIVING

Take it to heart when someone says,
" Hard work is honest living! "
My ma used to say it in a convincing voice,
when we gathered around the table
for many delicious meals;
and we couldn't start eating
before saying, " Grace "...
" My children, God gave this to us,
and must be always thankful
that He provides for us! "

" Hard work is honest living ",
I won't forget this proverb so rooted in truth...
as I go through life with each blessing;
if we forget to thank God, all our days,
we deliberately ignore the wonderful gift
given to us through His kindness!
Lift up your praying eyes, and see what's worth;
simply make that commitment!
And remember that everything we have received so far,
was the persistent prayers of a firm believer like ma!

Very few people believe in these words,
" Hard work is honest living! "
They like getting paid for something,
which was done by somebody
who had a different set of beliefs,
and that credit they didn't deserve,
because not even an ounce of sweat perspired
from their cool skin by not using their hands!
Be glad to perform your job with full honesty;
every dollar you'll earn, will make you proud!

Unfold your banner, you fearless laborer;
there's no shame in doing odd jobs:
your head must be held high and your righteous heart
must rejoice before God for your integrity!
Your children will pick up your yoke and carry on
that tradition, so that no farmer and carpenter would feel inferior;
and where would their food come from?
And how their house would be built without the strength of the builder?
Think quickly:  laziness makes the idle mind depend on someone else;
look around yourself, which one prospers: the lazy one or the hard-working one?

THE DEPOSIT OF FAITH 11022011

Catholic Church derives all teaching authority from tradition
Doctrine has come down from Christ
This tradition preserved in written form in the “Bible”
Contains the principle truths of faith taught to the apostles by Christ

Inspired men moved by Spirit of God commit these matters to writing in early Church
Short time after Christ’s Ascension, maybe within 20 years
The need to preserve thse truths in permanent form was recognized
Before any book was accepted as “authentic”

However,
Authority of an Apostle was demanded by Peter’s companion
Similarly, though Luke was a man who had not seen Christ
Book gained acceptance through St. Paul’s authority

The Church has protected and guarded these books
Which contained
The revelations of Christ to His disciples
Their Testimony concerning Him

Where Are The Women Of Old?

Where are the women of old, those who knew how to please God,
Not with eloquent words or impressive deeds,
But those who knew the real work was founded on bended knees,
Because they knew it was going to take, not a religion,
But a relationship with a Mighty God to be the hearts of their families,
To cook those meals, to mend those clothes, to take care of the house, to be the spouse,
And the extended arm of their communities.

Where are the women, who could sing and moan those old spiritual hymns,
Like “Amazing Grace” and “Shine On Me”,
While cleaning those greens, and baking that macaroni and cheese,
That would make you drop to your knees, and that chicken fried so crisp,
Because it was mixed with these ingredients: Faith, Hope, and Love.
“Precious Lord, Take My Hand” and “Guide Me Over Thy Great Jehovah”,
While mending those socks, and patching those holes, and piecing quilt on top of quilt. Each
stitch gently sown in: Faith, Hope, and Love.

Where are those women who would cover their children in prayer,
Every morning before sending them out the door,
And would give praise and glory to their Heavenly Father for keeping them safe,
As he led them end to the close of another day.
And those women who would give to their husbands, their due benevolence,
After the world beat him down, reminding him in this house he wore a priestly crown, And
his heart was safe with her.

Where are the women, I ask, who were the pillars of their communities,
Teaching the young women how the be chaste and not busy bodies,
Feeding the hunger, clothing the naked, and nursing the sick back to health,
Doing it all in the strength of her Lord, pleading Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
These women knew how to build their houses because they were wise.
These women are hidden treasures and much to be desired.

Where are the women of old, those who know how to please God,
Not with eloquent words or impressive deeds,
But those who know the real work is founded on bended knees,
Because you know it was going to take, not a religion,
But a relationship with a Mighty God to be the hearts of your families.
To cook those meals, to mend those clothes, to take care of the house, to be the spouse,
And the extended arm of your communities.

To be the Proverbs 31 woman that God has called you to be.

Breakthrough

narrative poem

It was in the eighth month of the eighth year,
when Ronald Reagan was the president.
I heard the loud noise of many actors -
singing praises, clapping hands in tribute.

Play-acting, cultured lines, memorized songs,
performed by men and women with spirit,
indistinguishable from sincere praise.
Drama entangled with reality.

It was the evening of the fourteenth day,
I had invited a friend out to eat.
A dinner and a show to celebrate
his retirement from a life of teaching.

The play was a homecooming church service;
it honored a pastor who was moving.
Though the scripted testimonies given
were heartfelt, I had a strange sensation.

I kept seeing these same entertainers
in former plays as thieves and infidels.
Make-up, costumes, and props were authentic;
the audience applauded loud and long.

The next day, the fifteenth, was a Sunday.
Hurrying through breakfast, I bathed and donned
my good clothes and best vocabulary.
With Bible in hand, I headed to church.

As always, the praise songs and the scripture
were rehearsed, the bulletin was the script.
The program even listed times for prayer;
I offered my largest bill to the plate.

My worship was a measly performance.
Should they had watched from a balcony pew,
my non-church work friends would have seen me as -
simply another moonlighting actor.

At work last week, I had cussed out the boss.
Three of us sneaked out to last Thursday.
On occasion, I lie and scheme, even
have a good laugh at tasteless, raunchy jokes.

I left church and wandered in deepest thought,
pondering, “What is worship all about?”
An hour alone with God was revealing,
brooding o'er events of the past two days.

My pretense at worship, hypocrisy,
disappointing to God, awkward for me.
A major breakthrough,  I just let God talk;
then I apologized for my play-acting.

His Desire – Pastor Ray

That day when I first called you
I know that today would be
Your desires I know and your needs I know too
I had kept every of your step
And every of your thought I had known
You saw the work ahead
And your effort you have put in
And your thought was consumed by the work ahead

I have never left a man halfway
Because I know the end before it started
All that has come through
All that would come
Have been designed to make the end glorious

Be focused and unwavering
Be steadfast and faithful
Conscientiously and consistently follow your heart
The strength to press on you will not lack
The courage to face the unknown I will give
The faith for the impossible I will lend
The peace to have a sound mind will be availed

Just know this;
You are not in this path alone
I am always with you.

Do You Hold A Grudge

I knew of a "brother" who held a grudge.
From his position. He wouldn't "budge."

When asked why he held this...
 against a certain person.
Having nothing to do with him.
 He was certain!

The reason for this grudge...
Is probably "silly" to many.
When asked for a good reason.
There wasn't any.

He said; "I don't hold any
kind of unforgiveness."
"What I do..." "It's none of your business!"

"I don't hold a grudge and I
 want to be clear!"
"There are some people...
 I wish weren't here!"

Are there people in your life
who've been "shut out.?"
"Is this what being Christ' example is all about?

Living for Christ is not about who we "avoid."
If a life of Godliness is to be fully enjoyed.

We can make "excuses" to stay
 away from somebody.
This could be your brother.
Neighbor. Or anybody.

Christ gave his life and wants
us to follow his rules...
He knows all about us.... And is never fooled!

May your life be filled with
compassion for every soul.
In doing this... You'll be made
complete and whole!

Discover true freedom. Leave any
"grudges" in the past.
Enjoy true victory in Christ...
And a peace that 'll last!

Under Your Feet

Being one of the Lord’s Solder is not going to be easy.

There are a lot of battles you are going to go through.

The Devil will use your children, family, and Friend’s as a lie.

Like they can do with out you around, and you don’t need to work on yourself, you
are fine.

You must know it is a lie.

Yes, they need you just not right now, because you need to work on yourself first
and follow the Lord.

The Devil is not gone all the time he is right behind you and He may some of the
time get right in front of you and challenges you.

So when the Devil tries to talk to you, know that God speaks louder and listens
too.

Anytime, ask God to help you and put the Devil under your feet,
Where He belongs…

Letting God

When I look at
life situations
thinking
I am all alone,
while relying
on only
my finite
yet imperfect
human insight,
to force only
the results
that I desire.

When I let go
and let God
I let go of
personal
motivation,
and let God
do His work
in all life’s
circumstances
teaching me
to give rather
than get.

It does not
mean that
I cease
in my efforts
in doing
anything,
it simply
means that
I must let go
of all anxious
thoughts, fears
and doubt.

I let God
by simply
embracing
the truth
of His
omnipresence
and by
trusting His
guiding
spirit
at work
in me.

As I let go
and let God
I am guided
and taught
a better way
to live
in unity
with
His will
and not
my own.

I learn
humility
and to trust
in His divine
guidance,
to bring all
my thoughts
and actions
in harmony,
with His
wisdom
and love.

For when
I let go
and
faithfully
let God
be my
strength
and guide
He perfects
in me His
purpose
for my life.

In the eye of the beholder

As the climate for liturgical celebrations
evokes the sacredness of the most High,
God, who is the author of life and love,
enables everyone to give worship to him.

Where I usually go for the morning mass,
in the convent of the Presentation Sisters,
there’s a classical atmosphere of silence –
with depth and simplicity in their lifestyle.

They’ve gone to great lengths in their lives
as educators and pastoral associates in parishes;
their dedication to work up to the hilt
inspires me to keep focused on my calling.

Indeed, their gifts have been shared to others,
with their availability and generosity;
steeped in their spirituality as religious
whose role leads to the church of the poor.

Like movements in most solo concertos,
dynamic account of virtuousic commands,
Sisters’ fervor and sense of performance
are fitting to highlight their wondrous styles.

Their devices have enhanced working with people,
through successes and failures, ups and down,
trudging through the mud of their angst and trials
still perseverance can be painted with predominance.

While most of them now are retired and aging,
I can still trace profiles of their great significance;
their inner identity mired with God’s beauty
a treasure for me, a centerpiece of religiosity.

Father Christ Deal

Eternal Father saw outnumber of people’s sins
Sad with what He created
He wanted to destroy the world
People hurting each other

Father Christ stopped Him
Told the Eternal Father He would go down to earth
Take People’s cruelty
To start His power over people

He told the Eternal Father people would understand
Ransom Himself
Not to destroy the world
Believed people to be one

Eternal Father searched a woman
To conceive and bear a Son
Angel Gabriel spoke to Mother Mary
You have found favor from (Eternal) God
Holy Spirit will shine over you
You are to name Him Jesus
He will save people from their sins
To save destruction of the world

Father Christ started a Church
For People to be Universal
People don’t understand
In His Church people are saved

What are these other churches?
In there you are not saved
Don’t be fooled
By the Christ’s like religions

There is only one
Deal to the Father
Be Universal to His Church
Roman Catholic

To understand the Two Greatest Commandments
“Love God all your mind, heart, body and soul”
2nd is “Love your neighbor as yourself”
When we love our neighbor, Covers the 1st Greatest Commandment

Other Churches are misleading people
Thought they loveFather Christ
Person who created their Church
Was the person they believed and loved

Father Christ is very hurt
People don’t know in His Church
You’re saved
In others you’re condemned

Risking Our Necks 11052011

GREET PRISCA AND AQUILA, MY CO-WORKERS IN CHRIST JESUS, WHO RISKED THEIR NECKS FOR MY LIFE ROMANS 16:3-4

PRISCA (ALSO CALLED PRISCILLA) and Aquila
Were first-century lay missionaries who accompanied Paul on his travels
His praise of these two indicates that their dedication was exceptional
I wonder if I am ready to risk my neck for the sake of another

Could I be that other-centered?
These questions lead meto ponder what my motivation
For what I do
How ready I am to tend to those in need

I must constantly consider these things
My society pulls me toward individualism and self self-orientation
Placing others’ concerns before my own
Going the extra mile

Doing without something I enjoy
Allowing myself to be uncomfortable or inconvenienced
These are tiny but significant actions
Enable me to risk my neck for the sake of another

Are You Going Through A Layoff

Going Through A Layoff???

Are you one who watches
the nightly news?
And hear of the many jobs
 people will lose?

Does this news bring to your life
much uncertainty?
Knowing that very soon…
This could be a reality?

Are you one who’s filled with fear
and apprehension?
Feeling the burden of stress
and a lot of tension?

Perhaps you feel very discouraged
and “distraught.”
Here’s a ”lesson” that needs
 to be taught!

Don’t allow yourself to worry about
 “how things are going.”
There’s a God in heaven that you
need to be knowing!

He knows all about your layoff
and every situation!
The love and peace he gives needs
 no explanation!

Everything that you need...
Jesus does provide!
Worry? Or Trust HIM?
That’s for you to decide!

Jefferson Street

You would think
facing three flights
of subway stairs,
            one from poverty,
                    and one from husband,
with your hands full of produce and
the handle of a stroller and
the stroller full of daughter and
a Lot of other questions that you can't stop
to answer
(because the last time you did
     your little boy didn't
                                       wake
                                                up…

                   would make you think twice
about gathering your groceries
in your arms
and asking the first man in a collar
to bring her up
in his.

Waiting

Summer is ending, so begins fall
I am scared that the season will begin at all
Surrounded by people, and flinch at a call
Sit in a dark room with a chair at the wall
Should be outside with a rake and raking
Here inside at work and waiting

Home alone lying in bed
This month I lost my only friend
To a painful and abrupt end
Wake up in the morning and hear that he’s dead
Should be in the kitchen with cake that’s baking
Here inside at work and waiting.

Halloween comes with trick or treat
Or go to a party with people to meet
To creep and crawl with silent feet
And grope and fumble in darkness deep
Concentrate on something making
Here inside at work and waiting

Thanksgiving with my new family
November passes quite rapidly
Together with turkey, peas and tea
Advent begins in a cold grey sea
Winter is now and its breaking
I’m home inside at work and waiting

In December the birth of the son of God
I must remember what in his life he taught
Then sort the teachings out from a dark fog
Because Christmas is love not at all macabre
The frost grows on the lawn outside this morning
At the window inside at work and waiting

Happy New Year that begins with a seven
The angels above call down from heaven
To the earth below and meadows and oceans
Like the dough that sowed and rises when leavened
The days are short and nights sedating
In the kitchen alive at work and waiting

Is the vast bleakness a harbinger of Spring
When nature sets forth its most beautiful things
That grow quietly without sounds or rings
Or move about at night under moonlight scenes
With equal days and nights the equinox brings
The time flies by without break or sating
Here at work at home and waiting

Food for Thought II

Many problems in the world
Church is one
Self-appointed kings are Founders
Of non-existent Kingdom

Heaven is our kingdom
The King is Jesus Christ
He started it and only Catholic or Roman Catholic Church
Be sure before you die, you're a Roman Catholic

Your God, is my God
Only one in 3 different Divine persons
Men and women are able to know the truth
We thought we'll be in our Kingdom

Disappointed when we knew the truth
We expected but we're cut with the double edge sword
First good impression is can be a lie
Hard to change a reputation

Our God is Jesus Christ
Cooperate with the grace He gives
To not sin
We ignore Jesus in our side

Just cooperate in His Church
He grants you to be very careful of sinning
Pay back what you owe
Unless each of you forgives your brother from your heart

Deliberate drunkenness, always a mortal sin
If the person is completely deprived of the use of reason by it

I’ve been blessed with gifts in every way To work tirelessly for you still. I ask you to refresh my desire To work for you alone. I know You’ll never force me To lay my all at Your throne. It is my wish to please You And not live for my own desires. I ask you to keep me centred To escape the world’s corruption fires. I ask you to guard my heart And make me more discerning Of imminent worldly pitfalls Based on my own fleshly yearnings. My life is dedicated to Your cause A cause far greater than me. Preserve me from temptations; Other distractions with which to agree. I know that there’s nothing In this world that will last. For it’s coming to an end And that end’s looming fast. I don’t need wealth to feed my ego Or lusts to taint my temple and soul Rather I need Your example Of a life that was pure and whole. Help me keep my eyes on You— You and You alone. You’ve equipped me for heaven And eternity’s royal crown. Copyright © 2012 Maureen LeFanue www.maureenlefanue.com

Chance

I did what I'd been so relieved to put behind me.
I wished my life was over
So I wouldn't have to look at what I messed up.

But they say you work miracles
For the broken and the sweating.

Today I destroyed everything I had.
Today I gave up.
Today I screwed every chance I had.
I couldn't believe it.

But they say you work miracles
And that you brought someone back from the grave.

I heard about the water and the wine.
They say you can change anything

They even say you work miracles
That you are a celebration
You don't have to be anything
Anyone wants to see
To come to.

I lost.
I didn't learn; I am so afraid.
You are probably sick of me,
I definitely am.
I shouldn't have a second chance
I don't deserve grace
But they say you work miracles.

Go to the ant, ant, ant
Go to the ant and learn- (Chorus)

She digs her house down deep
She builds her house up high
And though she has no king
Her armies stay alive

In the summer she will reap
For the coming winter sky
She gathers everything
Her colonies survive

(Chorus)

Consider all her ways
She's small but she expects
Her people stay as one
And she is strong and wise

So number all your days
Prepare for what comes next
And til everything is done
Let no sleep tempt your eyes

Go to the ant, ant, ant (3x's)
Go to the ant

God can bring all things together

Ezekiel was a prophet during Israel's time of oppression
he wept for his people, he wanted to end their suppression
as life has its ups and downs and many things can't be understood
just pray for the strength of Father God to help you do all you should
and hold on to God's unchanging hands
let Him brings things together for you to understand

in the valley of dry bones Ezekiel made a comment
he asked God can these dry bones be reconstituted
yes, The Lord replied, I can bring them back to life
for My power is omnipotent it has no struggle nor strife
God can bring all things together and He'll work on your behalf
He can handle all your problems with His rod and staff

the Lord is about goodness so seek Him every day
submit to His ways and will no matter what He says
it might not make much sense to you just follow His command
for God has the answer to everything, He has a master plan
He entered the valley of dry bones and gave the breath of life
He resurrected the dead like He did for His son Jesus Christ

God gave you a foundation of solid rock on which to stand
He gave you His mercy and grace and extended to you His righteous hands
He can bring things together for the greater good
He can bring you a miracle like no other could
trust in Him, believe in Him and see the magnificence of His power
know that He can bring all things together even at your midnight hour
He spoke life back into those dry bones and infused them with The Spirit
He put flesh back on those dry bones and Ezekiel won't forget it

God can bring all things together like no other can
it's time for you to see the beauty of His master plan
He resurrected His son Jesus Christ
He offered mankind eternal life
Jesus' death was the justification
so mankind could again have eternal salvation
and with the power of His Heavenly Throne
He spoke life back into those dry bones
God can work out any problem with His righteous hands
God can bring all things together just because He can

Call the Creator of All Father 10062010

Lord, teach us to pray …Luke 11:1

A PRIEST FRIEND TOLD ME
All the lectures he typically gives
People seem most attentive and most interested in his talks on prayer
People want to learn how to pray

Today we celebrate the most famous “giants” of prayer, St. Bruno
With a close band of friends
This holy man left the world
Went into the snowy mountains of France

Therew lived in silence
Devoting his life to prayer
He described this life as
“Peace that the world knows not and joy in the Holy Spirit”

You and I have similar desire to connect directly with God
Although we will not likely live the solitude of Bruno call out to Jesus, “Teach us to pray”
Jesus responds to our desire with stunning words
He toldwhen we pray to the all-powerful Lord and Creator, we are to call Him “Father”
We are not to address God as a distant
Frightening being but rather
As someone close to us
Who loves us and longs to hear our voice

Bracing for survival

Walking with immigrants at the border
specifically between El Paso and Ciudad Juárez,
more Mexicans are constantly in quest
for jobs and other possibilities at hand.

It’s the reality that has been going on
  while the government tries its best to help them;
however, limited resources seem to be the problem
with hardly enough industries that would employ them.

Known as Casa del Migrante for men and families
that provides services to these people
each day there’s always a new registration
mostly men who’re in search of an answer
jobs – the immediate reason for their coming.

Their struggles to make ends meet
  their sorrow to experience grief
their defeat to return home with nothingness
and their faith being questioned ‘where is God’s grace?’

It’s like a bowl of queries and dissatisfactions
with all those problems and struggles;
life has become hard for them to handle
especially with tragedy or ailment in the family.

Boldly complex and intertwined with faith
  life at the major crossroads aligned with sufferings;
a compelling chunk of what it means to survive
in this world where the forces of good and evil unfold.

An Undercover Christian

During your life’s journeys,
 is there an ambition…
In becoming, (what others would call),
 an “undercover Christian?

Do you hide the “badge of the cross”
under your sleeve?
When others approach you…
Do you wish they’d leave?

You may not want anyone to know
 What you really believe.
What kind of answer… From you…
would others receive?

Would it be an answer of a Godly
 and faithful love?
In serving a God who reigns
 in the heavens above?

Could you give a reason for the faith
 in a savior’s saving power.
Can you be an example for Christ…
This very hour???

Would there be any doubt of the God
 whom you serve?
Before someone can
“throw you another curve?”

I pray, that as Christians,
 we can be very certain.
Of our faith in Christ…
before life’s final curtain

I pray that in us, others can see
Christ’ love in action
Following in his steps needs to be
 our daily reaction…

There’s no “undercover Christians”
serving the God that I know.
He’s looking for someone who’ll serve him
 in body, mind and soul…

Are you someone that God
 can truly depend?
Are you someone whom
God can call; “FRIEND?”

Love Father Christ

Don't have any clue
What talking about
Hypocrite, harsh word
People harsh to Father Christ
Don't know it

People boast, brag
They know Father Christ
Believe in Him
Yet, not in His Church
If truly believe, then why not His Church?

The word "Purgatory" is only in Catholic or Roman Catholic
Because later Christians will be in heaven
Some be immaculate there
After purifying their not confessed sins
People need Sacrament of Reconciliation

Penance
Forgiveness
Only in Father Christ Church
Father Christ required His Church
Be available for His people

Dreams

Dreams are things we want to happen in life,
They can be good or bad,
Either way we work hard to achieve them,
Your dreams can be of becoming a doctor or nuse,
Of becoming a singer and dancer,
Of becoming a triple-threat someday,
Even of becoming a famous writer,
Dreams can be of the simplest things,
Maybe that your mom would give extra desert,
Or that your dad would tuck you in at night,
Even just getting a hug from your grandma and grandpa,
You can dream all you want,
But dreaming isn't going to give you the stuff you want,
You have to give it to yourself,
So keep dreaming and work hard to reach your dreams,
and maybe someday they will come true

Wages of Sin

All sins committed past, present, and future,
Were each paid for on the cross, by the Son.
He purchased each of us from the bondage of sin.
He was judged, the work has already been done.

We are each born spiritually dead to God,
At physical birth, as we take our first breath.
Born with a sin nature, temptating each to sin.
Adam’s fall caused this spiritual death.

Spiritual death can be overcome by one and all,
By simply believing in the Lord, Jesus Christ.
With faith in Him, you will be spiritually reborn;
Not by works, as His work on the cross sufficed.

The Big Day

1972, and believe me and you,
Looked like it was gonna'
Be a year to remember...
We seemed to sense that,
From the previous December..
It was time for our luck to break,
And finally taste,
That illusive "icing on the cake.."

We were a band of three,
All cousins, of course,.
And loved our sweet music,
Planning to be a major force,

I played the organ,
all hooked up to a wah wah....
Making odd sounds.
Got stanger by the hour...

Charlie played the drums,
and an incredible talent he had....
Although as a person,
He was often a "cad"

The heart of the band,
Was cousin Billy on bass,
Much younger than us,
You couldn't tell from his face...
His full beard made us nickname him "wolfman"
We teased him mercilessly, as often as one can...
But he had an incredible magnetic aura about him,
And was the most talented of us,
We prayed he'd never get a beard trim...
But his greatest talent,
lay in golden voice....
One rarer than gold,
And given a choice...
He loved the blues, and sarcastic words,
He made one laugh like dodo birds...

We got a job, to play in May,
And we were to headline a festival,
And play all day!
That's a tall order, and hard to achieve,
We wonder if we would ever leave,
the stage alive after a 12 hour day!?
And just how many songs would we have to play?

We all spent each weekend
at my house to rehearse,
Sometimes so frazzled,
We started to curse...

The task was intimidating,
At least 200 a song..!!
What would we do,
If something went wrong?

Each practice required
a keg of beer...
And for Charlie his pot..
By Sunday we were something
to hear!
And Each Sunday morning,
We started the day,
With PA at the window...
And Billy's Baptist Rantings...
With churchlike organ played
Ending with Monkish chantings...
In an all black neighborhood,
We tooka great chance,
But they loved our dumb music,
And outside would oft dance...

continued......

What are the effects of Venial sin

The effects of venial sin are
Lessening of the love of God on our heart
The making us less worthy of His help
And weakening of the power to resist mortal sin

Hope is in the Future

When your heart grows weaker and you no longer want to fight,
And the hounds are howling, a struggle in the plight,
Remember, Hope is in the future, the outlook is bright.

When feelings of insecurity quickly begin to grow,
And your spirit is at an all time low, consider this even though,
Hope is in the future, this I do know.

Sadness surrounds me, life is so unclear.
My hands tremble and am always filled with fear, although I must adhere,
Hope is in the future, the target is near.

The army grows stronger little will to fight.
Everyone has their own wrong and right, but I know with all my might,
Hope is in the future, with faith not sight.

Summer is not eternal winter will come.
No mortal can comfort what damage has done.
Hope is in the future through Christ God's son.

moving on up

we need to let go of that welfare mentality
and let God bless us with a new and positive reality
just start believing that we deserve to be blessed
believe that through God our testimony will progress
God will command a blessing just for you
and He will send it abundantly too
moving on up towards your prosperity
moving on up to claiming the victory

you what to go forward in life, to no longer be in the same tired rut
you need to get motivated, so just get up off your butt
there's got to be something better now that you're a child of the true King
it's time for you to move on up and reach out for that gold ring
and whenever I call on you, the Lord God did say
humble yourself before Me, from this very day
and with the words out of your mouth, watch what you speak
don't call misery down upon yourself, stop being mentally weak

when God removed the Israelites from Egypt's slavery hold
as the chosen generation, He expected to do as they were told
God was attempting to move them on up
trying to fulfill their spiritual cup
He moved a mountain for them, He divided a river in half
but the Israelites were unyielding and continued to walk a disobedient path
they would not shut up and let God work in their lives
so God smote them with a 40 year curse full of misery and strife

people tend to harbor a lot of minor and petty stuff
we need to get rid of the baggage in life so God can move us up
we tend to put frivolous things and issues first in our minds
unable to see the real treasures that are hidden behind
and whenever God calls on us with a blessing or an anointing
we tend undermine, hinder and underestimate our appointing
we need to stop walking around mumbling, moaning and groaning
we need to start doing some praying, fasting and atoning
believe that the Lord God can do the impossible
let Him give you a blessing and just trust in His gospel

God's work will be done, for He will make a way
God will bless you if you just shut up and learn to obey
don't get caught up in yourself , just have faith in His word
forget what the world has to say, forget the negative things that you've heard
moving on up with Father God at your back
moving on up towards prosperity on the right spiritual track

Redemption

Jesus is coming so fall to your knees
and cry out to The One who can hear all the pleas
of a broken heart and a troubled spirit
which He's quick to heal if we let Him near it.
Our Father in heaven is calling to any who will hear
that today is the day of salvation and our redemption is near
if we will only open up our hearts so He can come in
and begin the work of changing us into the image of Him
So if you hear God calling out to you
but you're not exactly sure what you should do,
think about The One they say the Jews crucified
and know; without His own consent, He wouldn't have died,
because He is God who came in the form of man
to fulfill the greatest part of His divine plan;
with power over life and death given only to Him,
He could choose to lay down His life...and take it up again.
He poured out His blood to buy us back from hell
which our father Adam sold us to on the day that he fell.
He cried,"It is finished." while He hung on the cross
because The Way had been opened to redeem all the lost.
The Day is coming and the Hour is near
when all the world will know what it is to fear
the wrath of God towards those on the earth
who have laid up their treasure in things of no worth;
having turned their backs on the God of mercy and love,
will find there is no place for them in heaven above.
God gave His Holy Spirit to us; to comfort and teach
and fill us with His power so we could go out and preach
about the Blood of The Lamb which can cleanse us from all sin
while the power of His Spirit keeps us from walking therein.
He loves us so much, He wants no one to perish
into the awful pit of hell where none will cherish
the wonderful work our Father in heaven has done
through the awesome grace and mercy of Jesus Christ, His Son.
Holy,Holy,Holy is the Mighty Lord of hosts
of Whose righteousness no one can claim or boast,
for it is only by grace through faith that we can stand
before the Great and Terrible God who holds the world in His hand.
All our own righteousness is as a filthy rag
before the righteousness of God so none can brag
about the good deeds they've done in the field
because on the Day of Judgment all will be revealed.
Glory be to God; the Father, Son, and Spirit,
Who chose to come down to this cursed earth and heal it
from the curse of Satan which was laid on us all
since that fateful day in Eden... when Adam took the fall.

Praising Jesus

CharlaXFabels

Wondering uncertain from one day to the next working for survival never needing
any rest building no foundation that has not already been prelaid but marching to
my final curtain on the strength of HIS shed blood on the price of life HE paid.
Rude self centered people all day long are teaching me a path not connected to
my song the love inside of me is taken when they stride in perfect ignorance they
glide on oily fingertips like some forgotten hide left in the center of a hunting
camp with maggots all at work no one can use the hide for clothing no one can
make it work. Suddenly remembered pain of death intended oh Jesus take me
make me whole and well and keep them all away from me the naked and the
dead they rise in misery to foster they beliefs upon a lame and morose figure a
aged creature just as eye am beneath a clouded sky no moon is visible no sun
but sonshines down on me today and life is hard and life is stirring in the clay.
Devoid of Human life they are only interested in the personal perspective seeing
nothing but the end of own nose and looking down it at others prose.

Society of man is living in ignorance and darkness no hope but the grave
atheists and deists marking time by taking up worthless spaces meant for
others to occupy if you cannot do the work assigned to you get up and let
someone else try the end is near oh GOD the end will come too soon for some
of them. A half remembered song about the lyrics sung you cannot petition the
LORD with Prayer? Yes eye can and hopefully it's there the Thorny Crown
replaced with silver gold and brass or just the light that shines from Inside place
of GOD?

Not meant to ever resemble money not meant to be much more than love. He
kept the life. He Loves. Jesus Lives. He Rules and as he Rules HE loves.

Letter To A Poet

To you, my favorite Poet

I view you, as my sole comforter
You comfort me, with the beauty
Of your songs and verses
Written, by the power of your spirit

With love and passion; your work
Topped the best-sellers’ lists, a world record
I believe, no word travelers can break it
No matter, how best they tried

I really have no idea how you did it
But truly, you’ve amazed millions of readers
With your thoughts, calm as the sea at night
Bringing peace and hope, into their hearts

Thou, many of your so-called fans excelled
In their own writings, yet, they failed
To capture the brevity of your word
They, too, failed to unearth its mystery

Oh, by the way, I found a translation of your
Book, it’s in my 7th tongues---the Modern Greek
Left purportedly, by one of your procrastinators
In a wooden shelve, in the attic-room

Adorned with dust, but, when I blew it away
Voila, my life has changed, completely
A better life
That you, instantly, became my favorite poet

You, the greatest, of all time
Greater than any poets/authors, living or dead
Your masterpiece translated into different languages
…..for those who wish to learn your wisdom

Now, that you’ve shown me
The new life, with the strong guidance
Of your lovely rhymes and styles
Yours, I will, steadfastly, bind them

In my heart, forever, for without You---my God
There will never be me, your new born child
Nor, there’ll be poets such as Poe, Frost or Pushkin
If, you had not lend them, your silver quill

Or will it be the pastors,
The apostles and the prophets,
The teachers and evangelists?

I Never Thought

Do you know why I am talking to you?
You are very honest and trustworthy.
My mind admits that you will help me,
She starts to weep and repeated her story.

You know why I work in this factory,
I am illegal; they pay me very low wages,
I work long hours and never went out,
They supply me the food, I also stay there.

She was telling and sobbing, but my poverty,
They are getting the benefit also used me,
Taking the benefit from my nights,
And threatened me, they can inform to Police.

I have a trouble in my country but for food,
And shelter, I never thought, I will lose,
My dignity and honour, someone will rape me,
And I stay calm with this insult as an animal.

Nobody can imagine, how is hard to live?
Nobody likes to depart his home for food,
On this rate, if he knew that he will die, but
Never will think to leave his mother land.

I never thought, the people who have excitement,
And hold the weapon in our innocent hands,
On the name of liberty and a democracy,
Never believe, a democracy is dying on their land.

Potter

O Lord, You are our Father
We are the clay; You are the Potter
We are the work of Your hand
So mold us and shape us
In Your perfect plan (Chorus)

In the middle of Your wheel
We're yielded and still
To be vessels of mercy
Lord You make us worthy
In Your blaze of fiery wind
Purge us free from sin
To be vessels of honor
Filled with your living water

(Chorus)

Make the broken new again
Sanctify and bring them in
To be vessels in His church
Prepared for every good work
And meet for the Master's use
Vessels bring Him forth much fruit
Prepare for His glory
Make known Your riches of glory - !

O Lord, You are our Father
We are the clay; You are the Potter
We are the work of Your hand
So mold us and shape us
In Your perfect plan (Chorus)

God's Delays

God's delays are not God's denials
That more precious than gold be your faith's trials
Wait for your hope no matter how hard it seems
Though for now they may linger, remember your dreams
Write them down, make them plain, don't let them die
Keep them before your face, they shall speak and not lie
For God is not unrighteous to forget your labor of love
So work in faith with patience with power from above
Following those who obtain His promises in due season
God is a rewarder of the diligent for this reason
He which began a good work in you performs to finish
The good pleasure of His goodness, it will not diminish
So let patience have her perfect work that you may realize
In your heart on your lips with your ears before your eyes
He makes dreams come true, just have faith like a child's
For your vision... God's delays are not God's denials

Inspired by John Hagee

Hear the Father ask

Why don’t you trust Me? I hear the Father ask.

Do you think I am such that I would lead you into an action and leave you? Don’t
you believe I am with you always – in everything you do? You aren’t to be directed
by others, but by ME! Their thoughts and feelings are not to control your walk, I
AM!

Stop reacting to their words, by stopping what I have put into action. To each I
speak and to each I give direction, because they are each different now, does not
mean they are not to be done. For they all work together as I have planned.

If it is man who decides, then I am not in control, therefore I am not in it. Follow
Me, not man. I am the one who loves you, it is I who desires all to dwell with Me
in My kingdom.

Some may have good intentions, but still falter. I falter not! I know exactly what I
want done, I only want you to obey and be My tool in doing it.

If you love Me, believe Me, I won’t lead you far off and leave you. You are My child
and I love you.

Walk in faith, you claim you have it, now act on it! Walk with Me, I have control.
Even if you take a turn in the wrong direction I am here to bring you back, or am I
unable? Am I your God? Am I the one who created all? Beginning and end?

If you believe that I am, then can’t you believe that I can lead you back on the right
road when you stray? I see the heart of man, I don’t have to guess what he is
inside. If he is for Me, then he can do anything, if he is not then I will stop him.

I AM the judge, not man!

As My child, do as I direct you to do, not faltering from others looks and remarks.
I will care for them as I care for you. My work will be done! Let Me work through
you, My child, let all hear of My love that they may be with Me in my kingdom as I
want so.

AWAKE

Awake, O' children of zion.Purpose and destiny is waiting on thee.
Awake, awake out of the slumber of your sleep and shake the dust off your feet.
Awake, my child of zion the zeal of the Lord has gotten into thee.
Awake,my little ones.We must gird up and put our hands on the spiritual guns to
build, and the guns that once killed.
Awake, Awake, O'children of zion. The kingdom conquering has begun.
Awake,Awake, can't you see that the victory is already won?
Awake,Awake.
So many degrees to everyone's destiny .
Victory is in the hand of all our destinies.
Awake, Awake, and again I say awake.
Time must run.Run, Run, because time has already begun.
Awake,Awake, the word of God had spread to all points east.
Awake,Awake, because north, south and west also has the 411 and the 222.
Awake,Awake,
this is where salvation is won.
Awake, the work was already in your destiny.

My eyes search

When I seek direction, my eyes search for You, Lord
As I stumble and fall, my eyes search for You, Lord

You are always there to lift me, from whence I fall
Lord, You gently yet firmly guide me

Though I know not what tomorrow brings
I live in anticipation knowing You are in control

For life is a great journey, with excitement
As well as hard times

Yet nothing falls short of Your plan
For my benefit for You are forever faithful

You make all things work for good
To those that trust in You

‘Round every corner You plant a blessing
I, as Your child, do not go without

Some blessings require work to receive, but nothing
I am not able to do, according to Your will

When I am loved by no one else on this earth
I know that I am loved by You

That’s why my eyes search for You, Lord.
They always search for You.

NEED THEE

I Need Thee for everything I do. Lord I commit my ways to you.In the mountain
highs and in the valley lows it;s your grace and mercy that's helps me prepare
for whatever I'm going through.

I Need Thee: When the world is in despair. You comfort and care for me.When my
family turns their back on me .It's your shoulders I depend on to be strong. When
my friends are far few and in between.I continue to stand and refuse to sink in the
sand wallowing in self pity and misery.

I Need Thee : When my husband walk away from me and started another family .
When he could not take care of the three he already got.Boy! did this make me
hot.Like a cast iron skillet.I want to hit him with it.!!!

I Need Thee: When I became open shame for everyone to blame about my own
personal issues. Now my children look at me like I'm diseased; and they say I'm
so hard to please.Ease all this confusion in my house today.

I Need Thee: When I'm misunderstood and my emotions are out of control ;
causing me to put everything on hold.Just to confront and deal with my x -
husband and his non-support child issues. What is a sister to do? When the the
father of my kids act like this. Here's a few things that I wanted to get off my chest
today.

I Need Thee: In everything I do I must commit my ways to you.

I Need Thee.

DOWN

Don't look down on me
when you don't have a born again degree.
Don't look down on me when you have not accepted Thee.
Looking down on me minimizes your destiny.
I'm delivered and set free .
There's no more chains binding me .
Looking down on me when you are spiritually blind and silly as can be and not
free.Open your heart to Thee and watch you'll see.You can be free just like
me.Looking, laughing and lifted, thanking Thee for the delivery of this great
salvation down the road called life. When someone looks down on you ask,"Do
you have a BA degree?"And state in a fast rate .Don't look down on me when
your problems are doubling up and you are down in the dumps.
Deliverance is truly free if you are willing to accept Thee.Looking down on me is
not the way to be,because you can't mimize my destiny.Don't look down on me
because I'm on my way to be all what God has for me in this salvation of his
wonderful army.
Looking down at me, I look up at you ...praying that you will realize all the potential
inside of you.I spread it worldwide ;this is what you are meant to do.
I look up,live and speak life to the inner parts of your soul so you will know that
there's so much room to grow. Growing is knowing that salvation is right. You see
no one can look down on you or me , because we both have great destinies.

THE DAY

The day will come when I can sleep late and write my own paycheck.I won't have
to hesitate about calling in stating that I'll be a little late.

The day will come when I won't have to listen to conversations of a late night
rendezvous and who's scheming who and what will they do.When they find out
about boo...Theday will come. I won't have to deal with the workplace being
divided into various cliques.Cliques A and B means you're okay and you're on on
your way .C and D mean you're just a body for a rotating position that will soon
transition.

The day will come I won't have to work filled with frustration inside. While the
children go by the wayside. They're in the box for a variety of dysfunctions. A pill
here a pill there ... There are pills everywhere.

The treatment plan is to keep you here.Without the kids where would the money
come from? It's a funny thing when people talk about that thing called money.
The day will come when I can thank the employers for giving me a drive to do
better for myself. Working for the man won't bring wealth.

The day will come when I can go into any store and I won't have to shop on a
clearance rack. The day will come when I can sow seeds back into the
community that help raise me. The day will come where the sky is the limit to all
of the possibilities that my mind can conceive. The day will come .That day is
now . The day is here.

A Different Path

I disliked my father,
He was never there for me
Even at my soccer games
Where I would look around
With excitement, trying to spot him
But disappointment is all I see

He doesn't do much
Not having fun with the family
Nor being bored with the family
He sleeps often
And doesn't take the time to talk to me
He wasn't someone I could call...father

Now, I am his age
With my own family
I would work hard and long
He inspired me,
To not become what he was

After a day of hard work
I would sleep the instant I return home
I don't see my family much
But it feels good to rest
And know that I'm doing all I can
To help my family live their dreams
And this one day
My son had asked me with curiosity
"Dad, why don't you ever show up at my games?"

SLAVE

When I work I sweat to the bone,
it is the only world I had ever known.

When the sun shines bright,
everything is out of sight.

I work 17 hours of the day,
only getting zero dollars of pay.

But one night half asleep,
I saw a big herd of sheep.

Going this way and that,
they looked like a crazy Bobcat.

Then I saw someone coming

When he opened the door,
Everybody was on the floor.

When I got outside there was nobody there,
Where had they gone where, where, where?

I followed a dirt path

Then I saw a torch glow red,
then I knew the group was still being lead.
