Freedom

In solitude I dream tonight
And watch a moth in fevered flight.

It’s drawn toward my quaint porch light
And flies consumed with all its might.

Through open window I can see
Its desperation shared with me;

How freedom in this world is light—
And we as souls are drawn to fight.

Though freedom’s light may cause our death,
It’s worth the risk with every breath.

I understand the moth’s sad plight
When drawn to the glorious light.

Though it knows not of human trust,
It buzzes on because it must!

How to Die

At a carnival- in my dream
I saw an old man had made
a rocket - and blasted off
I saw it go overhead and at first thought
It was a decoy
because no-one could come back to Earth safely
From such a blast
Then - I assumed because he was old
he wanted to die in a
Blaze of glory
Next I see his rocket turn into a parachute
And he has on snow skis and poles
We all make a space for him to land.
As he lands - the street turns into a river-
and he manages to land upright
on the skis - on the water.
But I think then he had a heart attack
From the joy of landing

The Undyings' Curse

Deep in the earth, a crypt of rock
slumber guarded by casket locked
Lips grope silence ‘ever more
 rasping thought, remembers whispered lore
Outstretched palms the roots do clench
tranquility stilled by festered stench
And eyes, sleep caked, are propped ajar
ignites no life, but collapsed star

Burned blades sigh, Winds’ dying gasp
bones brittle snap within her clasp
A lonesome howl the moon does draw
vigil broken, it twists its maw
Upon an arena of endless stone
the granite gates they’ve passed alone
And entered a world of burning eyes
eluded the judge of smoldering cries

A faultless gait, no stumbled draw
a reaping brought by scythe and claw
Opal edge which shrouds a cause
aberrant blade shapes nature’s laws
Dictate a script, the stars can share
an open secret, a language bare
Steps continue, feet are drawn
across gray grass, undying pawn

Goodbye, My Child

Where cradled canyons sing
Of ebony wood in the forest
There lies a gurgling spring
Where cockcrows sing their chorus
To the melody of singsong birds
There I’ve concealed my sensuous words
Filled with befitted signs
The saccharine whiff of my designs

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Where the fogs of night are fountains
Spills of glistened moon ignite
By distant silhouette mountains
We dance with passion of fight
Entwining ancient stance
Mingling hand in hand we dance
Till the mountains smile on high
Near and far we spring
To pursue the realest of dreams
While the world cries at its seams
Anxious in trouble to cling

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

To where the ridges merry make
From the beaks of wooden bright
In sparkly pools the ghouls awake
That scarce to stir our night
We watch for seekers down under
Muttering secrets in their soul
We bid them lucks of shivers
Dipping gently in
From reeds that hide a tear of a foal
Under the gentle rivers

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Far away she shall ever churn
The taciturn eyed
She’ll listen no more to turn
To the working mills beside
Or the scrubbing of the barn
May peace weave in her song
She shall wave in the yarn
To a haven known as Belong

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

For she comes, the mortal youth
To the wild realm of her truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only her tears be found

Willow: A Fable

Timmy Tom Tuck was a young fellow with charm
who one summer stayed at his grandfather's farm.
He loved to eat ice cream and Grandma's baked goods
but his favorite thing was to play in the woods

He so loved the willow oak tree near the spring
to lie flat on his back and hear the birds sing.
The bunnies and ducklings would come to his call
as Timmy Tom Tuck was best friends with them all.

One day young Timmy was watching a cloud.
All at once his name was called plainly out loud!
He looked all around but naught did he see
till a tiny creature stepped out of the tree.

"Willow is my name", softly sang out the sprite.
Her skin was quite crinkled, her hair purest white.
"I am your friend, so you have nothing to dread.
This tree is my home. I'm a dryad.", she said.

"A dryad dwells deep in the heart of her oak
and she speaks through its roots to all the plant folk,
to mosses and mushrooms, the ferns in the fen,
pink lady slippers, and the grass in the glen.

For all things are akin, all substance is one,
the earth and the stars, the moon and the sun,
the grass and the trees, the air high above,
the birds and the bees, the ones that we love."

From that time on they were never apart,
and Timmy loved Willow with all of his heart.
All day they would play in the rocks and the streams
and at night sweet Willow would dance in his dreams.

Dryads live long but young summers do fly.
Soon Timmy and Willow spoke words of goodbye.
He promised he'd surely come see her next year.
Sadly smiled Willow; her eyes glistened with tears.

But Timmy came not in that year nor the next
as summers were filled with exciting prospects:
soccer and baseball and Boy Scout Jamborees.
Those days with Willow turned to faint memories

But at last one summer he went back to the farm
and contritely thought of his vow in alarm.
He gave hugs all around, and once he was free,
with his heart in his throat, ran down to the tree.

The oak was all withered, no leaves anywhere.
"Oh Willow! Oh Willow!", he cried in despair.
"Oh Willow! Oh Willow! Oh where can you be?"
then embraced with both arms the willow oak tree.

From the tree there came a soft tremulous sigh.
"Oh Timmy, dear Timmy, my end is now nigh.
I've lived and seen wonders in these many years,
but now I must go; you must not shed any tears.

For all things are akin, all substance is one,
the earth and the stars, the moon and the sun,
the grass and the trees, the air high above,
the birds and the bees, the ones that we love.

I'll kiss your sweet cheek with every small breeze.
I'll cool your hot brow with the shade of the trees.
In dewdrops I'll wash your bright face with the dew,
and in dreams my soul will be always with you."

With those words, kind Willow then faded away.
Near her Timmy stayed till the end of the day.
That evening quite late he was able to sleep,
then dreamed such a dream, and the dreaming was deep.

The forest was big and the forest was bright.
Sweet sunshine shone through it in golden daylight.
Then all the wood fairies came out at twilight,
and fair Willow danced in the silver moonlight.

"Spend time with those you love."

Plea From A Dark Soul

Plea From A Dark Soul

Weep not in the sun for me
my wasted life spent in vain
 by death I did flee,
all but my shadow dwelt in pain

Utter not proud words for me
 years of drunken whoring feasts
 by death I did flee,
feeling no love, set loose my beasts

Deny not the fate I did earn
in my own just Hell to endure
 by death I so return,
leaving a black heart so impure

Cry not over my burial urn
 my deeds harvested bitter fruits
 by death I so return,
to languish in my dark roots!

 Robert J. Lindley 11-09-2014

note: Written from a dream, rather a nightmare that I had recently. As the darkness closed in the screams grew louder, the pain stronger and the heartaches
shouted for more agony.. Singe this sinner's hide with pain
 that makes the angels cry..
A voice speaks out, tis only the start , we have ages and ages to increase
 the torment and pain.
Time serves us this sweet delight , this lost soul now lives within our eternal night!

Quote for perspective--
Poetry is a bowl of cereal and if you are nice you get to add milk and a spoon.

Voices Of The Dead

~^~ I lay in my bed dreaming fighting with the darkness, Like a serpent the memories come creeping; The voices of the dead are so loud. The past encompasses me like a thick blanket, I am trying so hard to push the pain away; The cemetery gate is opening wide. There is a hush in the rows of tombs and tombs, The voices of the dead are whispering; Finally I cannot resist any longer. I am falling into a dark void and I wander lost, Tossing and turning, murmuring names in my sleep; The tomb is wrapped in fog and vines. Standing before the cold engraved words in stone I fall to my knees weeping and lamenting; In the dark purple cloudless night. ______________________________ August 16, 2013 Verse Entered into the contest, Screwed, sponsor, Rob Carmack, 8th place Submitted to the contest, Any Poem, Any Subject, Anne Currin, N/A

Shattered Dream: a Bride story

Come near me, my love.
Come and hold my hands.
I've been merrily waiting for you.
Can you hear that wistful piano sound?
Everyone had gathered, prayers are spoken.

Come near me, my love.
Come and sit on my side.
Why can't you speak a word?
Don't you think I look beautiful in this trousseau?
Now, wear me the ring, for I can't wait to say I do.

Come near me, my love
Come now and gaze on my face as you usually did.
Oh I wish I could dry your tears,
I wish I can smile and whisper in your ear
How grateful I am for the moments we had.

Come near me, my love
Come now and bring me flowers
Hand me a perfect bouquet of love.
Because I did love you until my end
And I will be blessing you, even in this death.

Fear of death

The fear of death

When I was a young man, a great fear of dying
Did bother my mind all the while
I’d dream I did murder, I’d dream I got murdered
Till one day I forgot how to smile
The dread of old age would torture me daily
And I was so scared of the dark
The joy of my life it just kind of faded
And often the terror was stark

Then one day I had me, this wonderful dream
This dream saw me lying there dead
But I was still there, looking down from the ceiling
All peaceful with no sign of dread
I learned from that day that death is the kind one
When the fear of him does dissipate
Then death will come out like a beautiful mother
As she rides on the breeze of ones fate

Now always , I live in the true hand of faith
For life always knows what is best
So I will relax as I’m held in her bosom
As she takes me away for a rest
The story goes on, and it will do forever
Cause life, well it never can die
I’m part of the trees, And I ride on the breeze
For I am that wholeness, am I.

The Past Eternal In Dreams

The voice of a cold stream flowing calls me and dark skies float in my mind. A
fallen blanket on the floor of my room where I lay on my bed waiting. Waiting for
the night to reveal images. I am full of dead voices whispering. Shapes, wispy with
no form reaching out. The calmness beckons me. I hesitate, then let go.

Death so meaningless. Headstones, wet with trembling soft tears. Time past
is eternally present in my dream. The images drifting disturb the dust of time. I
fall through the twilight gates of dreamland and all is stillness. Shadows hover in
the silence. My dream self whirls in the quiet breeze of forever solitude. I am crying
and searching for something unseen.

The vine of life grasps and clings to me, the fingers of green curling. Weeping
shadows of death entwining my soul. Oh, listen to the loud lamenting, so deafening.
Leaves murmur, birds chirp and my heart quivers. I stand at a tomb. Strokes of
pain, memories stabbing. I am lost in this dream. Then dawn breaks and my dream
shatters in a million pieces, floating away and I am left with an open wound bleeding
in the sunlight.

There is a place

There is a place you can go that is full of only love and Warmth .
you will be surrounded by a light that shines from the Heavens ,
Sprinkles of Silver and Gold.

This place is filled with brilliant colors of Purple , vibrant Gold, all colors.
not one Color is less significant then another ,
for every color is equal here .

This place is surrounded by the beauty of different Flowers.
All flowers have significance here . No one Flower is better then another .
All Flowers are equal here .

It is important you know , you can cry here , and should cry as often as needed .
For the tears will cleanse your Soul and give the Flowers water to grow.
No one Tear is insignificant here , every tear has value and not one is better then another .

money holds no value , Where you live , what you own, has no significance here .

You will be surrounded by a beautiful light that shines from the Heavens .
A shining warm light will encircle you and allow nothing to hurt you .
Hate will be shed at the door like an old jacket of no use.

There is a place of beauty and Worth.
This place will not be found on Earth .
It is a place where no one person is better then another .

You Shine Your Light

You shine your light in darkest night
Your beacon burning there so clear
If I had wings then I’d take flight
You shine your light in darkest night
I feel your warmth holding me tight
As in your arms you draw me near
You shine your light in darkest night
Your beacon burning there so clear

A Soul Awakened

She is the muse to her own sorrow; She is the digger of her grave. She is the painter of her ocean view and every fatal wave. She is the shadow of her Father; She is the darkness in your sight. She is the night without the stars surrounding pale moonlight. She is the music with no words; She is sweet love without the reason. She is your dreamer with submission cold by warmth with every season. She is your pet with cold intentions; She is your baby scared and shaken. She is the bold and pure- the lost and found, She is a soul awakened.

A House On the Cliff's Edge

There is a house on the cliff’s edge,
Around a quiet, unmarked shoreline
At night, the tide lifts high against a foggy moon
In the morning, gloomy clouds settle with the sea
At times, not even the birds are seen or heard
The house is left to nature’s caress

Home-crafted seashell chimes sway and sing with the wind
Crushed sand dollars lie together on the back porch
The shells were once whole, collected by the former owners
Long gone are they now, smiling with the moon
The owners are the very sound of the ocean spray,
Striking the rocks, announcing the cool dawn of day
They are not the dark, empty rooms,
The rooms that nobody thinks of as they go about their lives
The quiet owners are long gone—thought of only by one
A stillborn legacy about as tiresome as the sun,
When the clouds crisp out its beams . . .

A seawater puddle is in the middle of the dining room
Nobody knows it sits there, sinking in the floorboards
It used to be a far larger puddle after a storm,
Stealthily leaking into the house
But now it is small—so small—and the boards are moist,
Moist with its only companion amongst the instilled silence

Nobody thinks of empty, abandoned rooms
Nobody remembers the former owners
They were not much for socials and gatherings
They always lived their quiet, happy lives
Without a care of the outside world,
Far from anybody’s thought
Miles from the nearest home
Where the next generation comfortably lives

He never finished fixing that leak . . .

Sometimes the puddle gets bigger after other storms
And when it does, there is almost life there again
You can see the chandelier reflected on the unperturbed water
As a crystal dangles and falls from on high
The dark silence following the drop is as deep as thought . . .

Nobody thinks of empty, abandoned rooms
Nobody remembers the former owners
There is merely a house on the cliff’s edge
Around a quiet, unmarked shoreline

The Blue of the Sky is an Ever Dream

If a wind of change
 were to stifle truth
and peel the eyes of the blind
If a grave was the
gate of immortal dawn
where the sad trees lean
 over flowers forlorn
For seven eternities
 I will wait for you
Until silent death
splits my heart in two
I will follow the dream
 of a never doom
To await your sun
 in a nether tomb
For forever means all
 in a grander scheme
and the blue of the sky
 is an ever dream

Petals of Dream

City of glamor dressed in its finest;
stars fall down at her feet.
Crowds shout her name;
pull the curtain and let the show begin.

The mob turns on their wildness,
"here she comes, bow down your head!"
Let's toast our drinks, share her flesh.
Pay for the glory, she offers free.

But beneath her glance is a rotten dream,
dying to be loved and shed her tears.
With the arms of a warrior,
Her wounds to be healed.

Lights are off, rest in peace.
The knight in shining armor has come.
Pick up those petals scattered in hell.
Happiness isn't a forever dream.

Velvet Wings

Ignorant to passing time
Reality strikes its deafening chime
Unspoken words pass between
I and you, my darling queen

Lay your weary head to rest
With your arms across your chest
Now it's time to close your eyes
Whisper your final goodbyes

Let me go, we'll both be free
Cross the wasteland, past the sea
Find the path to heaven's light
Break away from endless night

Embracing tears of bitter pain
Falling lightly with the rain
Out of reach, I hear your song
Alone again, I sing along

Let me go, we'll both be free
Cross the wasteland, past the sea
Find the path to heaven's light
Break away from endless night

From the night. . .
I watched your velvet wings take flight
I never saw you so alive
So alive
I watched your velvet wings take flight
I'll never ever say goodbye
Never say goodbye

Life has ended, you have won
Death befriended, pain is gone
Fly away into the light
Crystal clear and shining bright
Close your eyes for final rest
Meeting among the blessed

Let me go, we'll both be free
Cross the wasteland, past the sea
Find the path to heaven's light
Break away from endless night

From the night. . .
I watched your velvet wings take flight
I never saw you so alive
So alive
I watched your velvet wings take flight
I'll never ever say goodbye
Never say goodbye

I let you go so you'll be free
Cross the path of darkened sea
I watched your velvet wings take flight
I can never say goodbye
Never say goodbye

Night Stalker

Within the forest’s dream of night’s true fright
shadows twist obsidian trees torment,
the cypress writhe in blood moon’s bright delight.

The hunter hides his nascent lust for might
and so the doe flees by man’s bow unbent,
within the forest’s dream of night’s true fright.

The cypress writhes in blood moon’s bright delight,
bedevil not the finer soul, repent,
the destined deed, must feed, man’s plight.

With deadly skill, fletched shaft sheers frosty night.
The horned hart does fall in wonderment,
within the forest’s dream of night’s true fright.

And torment flows in drops of crimson sight,
distorting right and light with man’s intent.
The cypress writhes in blood moon’s bright delight

Into the holy water blood rings light
for life is all and death is but dissent,
within the forest’s dream of night’s true fright,
the cypress writhes in blood moon’s bright delight.

The Blue Poet

I am the Blue Poet.
The uneasy man.
Who longs to be loved,
or just to have a friend.

My heart whisphers a low melody
on a faint, cool evening
thinking of her.
Once in my arms,
laying on my bed of roses.
Now she is gone.
I cannot think anymore!
It is hard, to love again,
When all your love has been taken away.
... I am the Blue Poet.

I am the Blue Poet,
That walks the bluish, dawn and dew covered streets
in the the October evenings and nights.
But I tell you, I wasn't always so blue.
No! I was once alive... happy... romantic,
... till Love went away!

Now I sit in the wayward poetry clubs,
drinking club soda and snapping my fingures
to a finished performance on a poem about love.
Written by a soft, spoken seventeen year old girl.

Soon, it is my turn to give my poem a read.
I stand on a lone stage, with a spotlight drownding me in blindness.
I face the faces, who look at me and smile.
A clap, and a cough, bring my head up.
I look out upon the sitting crowd.
To see that one face
that speaks to me,
without the movement of the mouth.
The face never showed though, and my head fell back down.

I start to read.
A vase of emotions kill me and swallow me up.
I try to hold back tears, but no more could I halter.
I finished, with a salty tear, rolling down my rough and oiled cheek.
I leave the crowd at ovation
and leave the women, all with tears in their eyes.

I come down from the stage, leaving the bright spotlight.
I shake hands, give hugs,
and collect my pay, and have another round of club soda.
Then, I go down the midnight alleyways of sprinkled city streets
finding myself a cozy room.

I think of her for a moment,
then off to sleep.
I dream of one time laughs, and hugs and kisses.
I cry in my sleep,
...For I am the Blue Poet.

Dream of Death

I dreamt my father came to me
From beyond the grave words spoken
He held my hand and said to me
Your life cycle has broken

Mom sent me here to fetch you
And take you home to heaven
I rejoiced and hugged my Dad
Eager to see my late folks and husband

But before I could get dressed to leave
My father had departed
Does he still wait to take me home?
Answer, Dad, I'm broken hearted

To join all my loved ones in the afterlife
Brings great joy to me, no fear
So I will sleep lightly again tonight
In hopes Dad will reappear

His Name Is Death

Vivid dreams, dreams frightening, in bright technicolor,
     Recurring over and over, day and night, unfolding;
Deeply, I plunge into the oblivion of an empty black void.
And I am free falling, tumbling, plummeting down.

Again and again, I do the same things within this dream,
     And I am the girl with long raven hair flowing down;
There is a man who is beckoning for me to come with him,
He stands with arms outstretched, whispering my name.

I have seen this man who comes for me, his face so sad,
     My mind is swirling, twirling and I am screaming, go away;
But, he takes my hand and we walk into the dark unknown,
Through tangled vines and bare branches like claws.

I fear him so much because I know his name, it is Death,
     Why does he come in dreams, why does he call me;
And each time I fear my weary eyes to close and dream,
For I know that Death will be whispering my name.

The first time I saw him, he was weeping,
as he took my dead sister's soul away. . .

Forgotten You

Forgotten you
As your mind collects the memories of yesterday
Forgotten You
Epiphanies tie into knotty strings of realization
That very moment. . .
You merely exist

Back then. . .those smiles
Those. . .distant laughs
Some you remember by name
Gone now maybe
Like the exhalation of the wind
Others dispersed in the world of arbitrary happening
Like leaves from falling, man-made trees
There is no doubt that they have
Forgotten you

Activate the bomb
Ignite the fuse
And you’re on next year’s history book
Never forgotten
But drained of all remaining good

That smile you gave
That happiness
The warm embrace so long ago
Salt-coated with piles of rubbish
Over last remaining mental spurts of comfort
Evil, evil, evil, evil, EVIL. . .
Always absorbed and remembered
. . .though never forgiven. . .

All good and gracious sentiments
Packed up in a box set nonchalantly in Downstair’s storage
. . .that chair with the broken leg in the corner of the room
That mangled cobweb holding a dangling, lifeless spider
A drowned sailor’s hat drifting through the current of the ocean
The single tear from a soldier’s vigilant, memory-stricken eye
The frustrating thoughts of a mute
The unchanged. . .HATED deformations

Forgotten you. . .
One soul brings to light weary, unthought-of happenings
Wedged deep into what she can only imagine
With not even a hint of understanding
. . .of the pain. . . .of the bewildering distortions
Of the ugly. . .
One soul merely vomits sickly verse after verse

As humanity embraces its downfall
The poet hangs onto her unjustifiable, forgotten. . .

Alive

And we are left here Like maggots—dirty, parentless…devastated Always feeding on the gruel…the cruel Fattening our lives in the moneyless bilk Shocking like a bee sting, yet soft as silk We are the forgotten I am watching the others grow rotten But I am cleansed and raw with glee Because…though blinded with slime…I SEE… I rise to the sound of the agonizing screams Of rapes, murders, of violent fists…weeping minds My definition of true finds… I smile when any possible hope arrives Fate laughs, knowing I constantly scream inside I am amused of it all…I can’t stop laughing As bitter tears began to fall I HATE ALL OF YOU… I WANT TO KILL YOU ALL… But I love that I can take anything From the nothing we have all been labeled The sick, the low…the mentally unstable Watch me roll up in a ball A naughty tease to death’s lull I love your silence… I love your intense fall And we are more alive than any of you We are crazed by your belligerence Aching to be emotionless SHARE YOUR INDIFFERENCE SHARE IT… Give us something to be left with So the others can die As Fate veers its head looking in the mirror Listen to her laughter—do you hear her? She watches and waits To find her maggots have grown wings… Screw your selfish indifference...we fall to fly We are more alive than any of you Though quickly we die

In Death's Dream - Life's Brevity

A grey frame house and backyard swing call out to me from somewhere buried deep in time - a memory. A river front and 60’s band are beckoning - symbols of beginnings of my reckonings. Ostensibly, I cannot travel back in time, or I would be there dancing, not making rhyme. Oh, can it be the parks and wooded spots I knew now withering - will cease to be when I am through? Except in dreams! Were folks and my old haunts the same revisited, then on some stone would live my name. 7/11/2015 For the Brevity-The Short of It Poetry Contest of Casarah Nance

I wish your death was just a dream

I wish that your death turned out to only be a bad dream.
Your demise makes me feel like I'm coming apart at the seams.
I wish that I would wake up and realize that it was only a nightmare.
But you really are gone forever and it proves that my life is unfair.
If I could wake up, I would be so pleased and it would be great.
Your death hurts so bad that at times I can't even think straight.
I've heard other people say how bad their loved ones deaths hurt them.
But a man doesn't know how bad it really is until it happens to him.
The Lord decided to call you home even though I asked him not to.
I wish your death was just a dream because I would still have you.

Visit me in a dream

Come and visit me in a dream,

And tell me how you are,

Are you floating on a cloud?

Have you found the brightest star?

I know you're with us somewhere,

Even though you can't be seen,

Painting the bluest sky,

Or among the grass so green.

As I'm wandering through the park,

Looking up at the trees,

Daydreaming of the joy you brought,

Will you visit me please?

Just send me a little sign,

White feathers on the breeze,

To let me know you're happy, free

And put my mind at ease.

Or ask a passing stranger,

With twinkling brown eyes,

A cheeky smile, and baldy head,

To nod as he passes by.

Or maybe play a special song,

Loud, on my radio,

That could have been written just for you,

About all the love we've known.

Come visit me in a dream,

And tell me how you are,

I know you're there, a floating cloud,

And one of the brightest stars.

The Wolf Prince is Free

Silver blood flows freely in The Forest of Darkness. Time drifts endlessly by as The Wolf Prince howls for his freedom. Run through the wetlands and the prairie; step into the madness and set your soul free. Nightfall is coming and The Shadows shall embrace you, don’t be afraid of your agony. The Mountains are rising all around you, our dreams are reality. Don’t let the sun hurt your eyes, it’s no surprise love I am here to save your life. The Rain forest will keep us safe, have no fear I am one with the Wraith. As we all cross blades, the battle line fades and our dignity is lost. Such a horrid cost, in the defense of our belief’s we stopped believing. We are all just rotting corpses in the end; and we all must meet our maker when the tide descends. Peace is a choice not a belief, War is embraced to my disgrace. Have you all learned nothing from the master? Don’t be absurd and tell me more lies, take my word I’m not to be idolized. Fly on the waves of redemption, Run through the trees at your own discretion. Living in The Forest of Darkness ascending into The Clouds. Living in The Forest of Darkness transcending The Twisted Crowds. Silver Blood boils in my heart, music storms build down the boulevard. The Wolf Prince is Howling!!!

Dreams

I often wonder in my head
If angels watch while I’m in bed.
Is it they who help me see and hear
Those I have loved and held so dear.

Mother, father, husband, son
I dream about them every one.
When I awake, they’ve seemed so real
My limbs reach out to touch and feel.

Ere I remember that it’s just a dream
I fear I’ve said or done some careless thing.
To upset or hurt--my greatest fear
As it often was when they were here.

I long to sleep and dream once more,
To see the ones I saw before.
But now they’ve gone; again I lose.
We’ll talk again when the angels choose.

SNOW GLOBE

Welcome to my ----- life
A beautiful broken aura
             Unsettled flakes
             The sound of yesterday
             Shattered winter glass
Transcend to the unconscious mind
Frozen, dead, yet alive
Hell, escapes my future of eternal suffering
Tiny buttons of snow -fall to my feet
Firewood burns endlessly,
The hairs of her soft skin rises like wheat
Shadows by hand flip the hourglass
The possibility of change takes --- need
She stands on the outside of my dreams
Looking in;
Quietly she summons the cold legion
Confused, trying to cleanse her soul
She wipes off old fingerprints

White glitter, forgotten notes
Spiritual spells enhanced in a quiet villa
Shadows of hands toss the glow
Daydreaming inside another dream
Falling flakes in hopes of peace
A warm bedded cabin sits at ease
Observing, breathing, mind settling
Swirling into an earthy feel
Another long downward drift

Shadows of hands set the tide
She awakens, sharing the stars
She mocks the sun, her eyes of glee
Covered in snow - aging peacefully
She fibers to soothe her soul
She reeks, neither heaven nor hell
Temporary punishment, rattling thoughts
Captured in a transparent globe
Passing through a purgatory world
No walls, no in between
Falling far from the echoes of life
Sacrificed by death before salvation
Transcension to the unconscious mind
             Shattered winter glass
             The sound of yesterday
             Unsettled flakes
A beautiful broken aura
Depart from my ----- life
