- Peace, Love, and Gods Greatest Gift -

The mellifluous musical tones of the village bells

Echoing chimes over the cold snowcapped mountains

Both finding their way to people in the valley below

Christmas songs — let your spirit sing freely and loudly

Welcoming the Birth of Our Savior and Baby King

Who so charms the Angels on High and God Himself

On this night, The Star was so beautiful, clear, and shiny

Crisp and so crystal-bright, centered above and beyond

Reflecting now the Lord God’s most divine and holy light

There is real magic in the night air as Heaven rejoices aloud

The child and the infant’s divine soul breathe life now intently

Fulfilling truly God’s very promise and His hope to Mankind

Keep this Christmas spirit — share it with others near and far

Grace filled with good tidings as we dance on wings of joy

We all now celebrate in great happiness, love, and kindness

Christmas is forever — and you must never ever close this door

Faith always enters, carrying His guiding torch high and proud

And encouraging Man every step of the way on his long journey

Even in a simple cradle where the Baby Jesus so innocently lay

Heaven doth bathe His cradle with the warmest rays of divine light

Bespeaking the heavenly beauty, joy, and wonder of Our Savior

Amazing peace makes a lovely gift, I wish for all of us to have

As new life blossoms, wrapped in petals of an immaculate heart

God’s holy blessing, love, and intention are clear for all to see

That Holy Night the Angels entire sang mirthfully on Christmas Eve

Praising Almighty Lord God in Heaven on the birth of His only son

The Angels’ paeans echoed in their divine beauty across the Universe

To bring peace now, glowing with your love, is His divine intention

Rejoicing in God’s Greatest Gift to Mankind who was born in a manger

Destined to become Our Most Holy and Divine Savior — Amen! Amen!

When Jesus Christ was Born

Stars have never told a lie when wise men look unto the sky.
Messages from God on high, of happiness his angels cry,
Soon dawns a blessed morn.
Wise men travel through a land
with stately camels over sand,
Their caravan majestically grand
When Jesus Christ was born.

Shepherds watching over sheep, baby lambs they safely keep.
Some of them were fast asleep on a mountain rough and steep,
Soon dawns a blessed morn.
An Angel to these men appear
Saying they should have no fear
For the Christ child is now near,
When Jesus Christ was born.

To Bethlehem they journey long, Joseph with his love so strong,
Mary with child had done no wrong; the baby did to God belong
Soon dawns a blessed morn.
This baby comes to save from sin
No rooms were found in any Inn
A stables all they found for him
When Jesus Christ was born.

A star shone brightly overhead, lighting up this humble shed,
A lowly manger for his bed, the joyful news had quickly spread
When dawned that blessed morn.
Here wise men came and gifts did bring
Shepherds bowed to their new King
Mankind rejoices while angels sing
When Jesus Christ was born.

Christmas A Time For Peace

Christmas is a time for peace
make amends turn your enemies
into friends, go ahead release
your resentments, the remedies

for a peaceful life
are in your hands
play the fife and
join the band;

Christmas is a time for peace
make amends turn your enemies
into friends, go ahead release
your resentments, the remedies

are in your happy glow
so pluck the plum
kiss the mistletoe
go easy on the rum;

Christmas is a time for peace
Stretch out your hand in peace...

Christmas with Christ - Melchoir's Story

Christmas with Christ – Melchoir’s Story
Wondrous symbols and signs appear in the heavens, heralding that an amazing event is about to happen… the birth of a royal child in the town of Bethlehem, one who will transform the world and make it whole again.
Guided by the light of a strange brilliant star, I and my companions travel by night from afar. We come to pay homage to this newborn Jewish King, this Prince of Peace who will save our world from sin.
We wonder, how can this be, when all we see are such wretched signs of abject poverty? Joseph, Mary, and Lord Jesus, the little Baby, sheltered with oxen, sheep, and lamb in a stable.
But we three kings humbly fall on our knees in wonder, bowing our heads and giving our hearts to this Babe so tender. Sensing we’re in the midst of a divine, royal presence, Gaspar, warm brown eyes aglow, gifts Him rare frankincense.
Noble Balthazar, his dark chocolate skin glistening, presents Him with aromatic, rich myrrh, for anointing; and I, Melchoir, entranced by this miraculous sight, bring precious gold to worship Him, this Child of Light.
Holding the Babe in my arms, there're no words to be said; but as I cuddle Him closely, I’m overcome with intense dread. For in a vision, I can clearly see Him suffering years ahead; He’s nailed to a wooden cross, wearing a bloodied crown of red.
Impulsively, I’m tempted to hide Him in my warm cloak of gold, and help Him escape from a fate that’s been foretold. While history will see me as only one of Three Wise Men, none will ever know that I could’ve changed fate right then.
But wisely I realize that it’s not for me to decide whether this innocent Child shall live or be crucified. I only know I must not interfere, but leave Him to fulfill His Messianic destiny, by carrying out God’s divine will.
So while sadly, reluctantly, for the Orient I must depart, I also leave with happiness and great hope in my heart, as my vision also revealed, there’s redemption in His blessed birth; and there'll be good will toward all men and Peace on Earth!

On That First Christmas, Love Came Down

Christ is born
He's in the manger
Reigning from His humble stall
Immanuel, come to reedeem us
Salvation, here for one and all
Tenderly his mother holds him
Men will seek the newborn King
Angels praise the God of glory
Shepherds, wise men, gifts to bring

Love from Heaven shines now on us
Over hill and valley bright
Victory's song rings through the ages
Ever since that blessed night

Apologies to Alice at Christmas

My toves are not slithy this evening,
They will not gyre or gymbal at all.
And worldwide the wabes are all dusty.
While North Korea threatens,
                  Nuclear War!!

CNN now tells us of terror,
That threatens the whole world with hate,
And those who love peace seem neglected.
              Poor foolish patrons of war!

Now the Jabberwock seems hardly scary,
He's a threat even babies don't fear.
Better by far to tremble at the Jabberwocks cry,
Than to raise a glass to war.

Now whereever soldiers are fighting,
And whatever they fight for tonight,
Give them peace for one night from the child of light.
And a new year without any war,
A gift from everyone to the entire world.

CHRISTMAS EVE

Snow flakes seem to do a majestic dance in the air;
Or so it appears at the opening of the chapel door.
Gingerly walking down the front marble stair,
I head into the darkness with holiday joy in store.

Warmed by the spirit of celebrating the Holy Birth,
I ride the bus homeward through the pristine snow.
The street scene is one of colorful lights and mirth,
With a bitter gust of wind pushing one and all to and fro.

It feels as if it’s the same over the entire universe;
Nothing but serenity and delight up and down the street,
As I run to my door before the weather gets worse.
Oh the joy of being home at Christmas in my cozy retreat.

Off I go to slumber comfortably in the warmth of my bed.
With dreams of cherubs and angels caroling in a sleigh
And visions of my girl Celesta dancing stately in my head,
I am entertained by thoughts of the joy of the coming day.

Merry Christmas and peace be with thee

Merry Christmas and peace be with thee

My heart is the present waiting beneath your tree

Lets sing a tune with the family around

Watch the snow fall and cover the ground

Drink our cheer and fill our festival plate

Give remembrance to those who miss this date

Thoughtless kindness is the best of giving

Prayers and thanks to a life of living

Honor the holiday but in year don't quit

Release the joy of the Christmas spirit

Spend time with those you hold dear

Make new resolutions for your new year

My heart is the present waiting beneath your tree

Merry Christmas and peace be with thee

CHRISTMAS MIRACLES (five haiku

nearly twelve o’clock
our tabby opens one eye
distant “Oh ho ho!”

this one special night
the hen house door stands open
wily fox retreats

some little green men
from God knows where see the light
       bow in silent prayer

meanest man on Earth
on his camel hears the babe
vows eternal love

he trusted the Star
when the shepherd left his flock
wolves by Star transfixed

Christmas Is Magical

Christmas is a magical time
a time for love and joy
where even in wars there is piece
between the men and women deployed

Children laugh with parents
around a green tree
everyone is together
as it should always be

snow falls on the ground
leaving everything in a blanket of white
icicles hanging from roof tops
it's such a glorius sight

Christmas is a magical time
for every boy and girl
it's a time for great happiness
and joy throughout the world

Sugar Christmas

           Sugar Christmas
           by Nata Stinson
Sugar Christmas, sugar snow
 Falling down, down below,
 Painting city to the white
Bring me Peace and Light!

For the girl, for the boy
Lot of gifts, lot of joy!
For the Stranger –silver ray,
Bring him home again!

Sugar Christmas, sugar snow
Falling down, down below,
Through the year I will miss
Sugar on your lips...

Sugar Christmas, sugar snow
Falling down, down below,
Painting city to the white
Bring us Peace and Light!

Merry Christmas Everyone

Long ago one winters night
A star it shone it shone so bright
Guiding men to see the light
God's gift to us that Christmas night.

Children playing everywhere
Fun and laughter fills the air
Angels singing so joyously
Christmas day was meant to be.

Peace on earth we hope and pray
As we celebrate this special day
The world as one in unity
This is what we long to see.

Merry Christmas to you from me.

I sing this song on Youtube if anyone would like to hear it.

Operation: Christmas Child

Sounds of children laughing
Singing and having a good time
Is almost like a fairy-tale
But this time, it's mine.
The little ones are laughing and smiling
Almost as hard as the youth do
Together, we know we'll make a difference
One little kid's dream will come true.
We're doing something special for the world
So others can live with love
So we are giving just a few boxes of stuff
Almost like a little treasure trove.
Operation:Christmas Child
How it brings smiles to my eyes
To see all this hard work
To help a few little lives.
Bailey comes and takes my hand,
"Kristen, come here and see!
We've wrapped boxes full of toys
For little children like me!"
Given so unselfishly,
These children donate so much
Not only gifts, but unconditional love
A hug and a warm touch.
We stuff the boxes full of toys
And wrap them one by one
Soon, we have finished
All the boxes are done.
But we don't want to leave yet
We're having so much fun
So we hold hands and begin to sing
Our voices blending to become one.
We sing together for a while
Then we must break up to go home
But we know we'll still be there
And our voices will carry on.
So I go to bed this night
With happy tears in my eyes
Grateful for Operation:Christmas Child
That boosts so many little lives.

Christmas Time

It’s that time of year again,
When families reunite;
We sit together and reminisce,
About everything in sight;

We laugh and joke and carry on,
Like no time has passed;
Reliving those old memories,
That get dredged up from our past;

Playing games and hanging,
With our family and friends;
Hoping beyond hope,
That this night will have no end;

Cause Christmas time is like that,
It brings us all in close,
From the beginning of the evening,
'Til the time we say Adios!

Christmas Everywhere

Is it Christmas everywhere?
Christmas parties and stuffed teddy bears.
Songs of merry Christmas delight.
Snow covered rooftops glowing at night.
Gifts of sparkling diamond rings.
Christmas memories and special things.
Holiday feasts and decorated doors.
Chocolate covered cherries, Oh! Give me more.
Trips to the mall to buy gifts galore.
Paying with plastic I depleted my stash.
Let us make a loan I need more cash.
Is it Christmas everywhere?
Are you sure without a doubt?
Because some poor child this Christmas will be without.
Give hope and love.
Give prayers and faith.
For those lonesome people on this Christmas day.
Is it Christmas eerywhere?
With war overseas?
People dying and starving,
and no shoes to cover their feet.
Is it Christmas everywhere, with so much poverty?
Families who go hungry, with nothing much to eat.
What about the homeless and natural disaster stricken lands?
It would make this Christmas merry for the wealthy to lend a hand.
With death and crying, and cold and mourning,
an unfortunate road to a path with no glory.
Oh! What a very sad Christmas story.
My home is my castle that shelters me,
but don't forget the homeless that beg on the street.
So, make this Christmas merry if you're able to give.
Share your heart with someone and allow them to live.
The best Christmas will be without a doubt,
God will bless you for giving to those who are without.

Peace for Troubled Hearts

As I hang the shining “Star of Bethlehem” atop my Christmas tree I recall with joy, the greatest miracle there was to be Two thousand years have passed since; yet, truth still holds And for me it is not some old folklore; or some legend of old There is a mighty king who willingly gave up his crown Donning mortality, he, "love unconditional", came down Pure love, accompanied by a peace, meant for every man His words and example were the seeds to plant. I still believe in miracles even when others can’t digest I wish for a miracle today in the deafening halls of Congress That by some magic, they could walk in the peoples’ shoes Feel the alarming fear of young and old; and I pray they’d choose- Peace for troubled hearts and all Relief for hurting people with backs against the wall ~*~

The Christmas Box

I want to tell you a story,
about one Christmas morning.
The snow was falling,
and the wind was roaring.
Holly and Christmas ferns decorated the door.
Gifts piled high around the tree on the floor.
Home baked goods from the kitchen filled the air.
The children opened their gifts with great care.
Time stood still for a moment when,
I reached for the box to open.
The box was white like snow.
Delicately tied in a big red bow.
Inside the box was a gift for me.
A tiny silver bell laid silently.
I picked it up and it begin to ring.
The music of Christmas, so charming.
My little girl said, "I hope you like your present too."
"Every time you ring the bell, a note of love from me to you."
A silent tear fell from my eye.
What a beautiful gift, and such a surprise.
I placed the bell on the mantle with care.
Even today it still sits there.
This happened many years ago.
The Christmas box with the big red bow.
A tiny silver bell plays a precious tune.
A note of Christmas joy from me to you.

Christmas

As the snow falls silently this night,
we feel the peace of its first light.
A time for joy a time to care,
the time for love ones to be near.
A bell sounds out through this day,
its ringing try's to show us the way.
For this is a special time of the year,
to spread love and good cheer.
It's too bad we don't feel this way,
all the time, everyday.

A LITTLE THOUGHT

The festive season is nigh on give thoughts and prayers, to those who have none of the simple luxuries, most take for granted the felling of trees, mostly never replanted. The elderly afraid to heat their homes the rich don christmas lit dwellings, and garden gnomes. Our troops all around the world, families apart parents and children missing them, with all their heart. No fun at all people living the street a hungry stomach, searching for heat. Most passing them by,no second care what if one day, they were there? The starving millions throughout the land walking bare feet,on rubbled sand. Christmas morning being just another day it`s the 21st century,it shouldn`t be this way.

The True Meaning of Christmas

The True Meaning of Christmas During this Christmas, let’s celebrate Christ’ birth. It was for all of us that he came down to earth. As we think about Bethlehem and the baby boy… We shout glad tidings to all! And peace and joy! This young child was to one day touch all of mankind. His message of salvation… Today… You can find! As we celebrate and fill up with holiday cheer… This same Jesus is alive today… And is always here! Though 2000 years ago, he was born in a manger... You can know him NOW! He doesn’t have to be a “stranger.” Won’t you spend some time and reflect on Christmas’ true meaning? It’s in the merciful arms of Jesus that you need to be leaning! The good news of Christmas can certainly be found… Across this nation. Every city… And town! This same Christ can bring peace to your life today! He loves you much more than words can say! May HIS love bring peace and healing to your weary soul… It’s only in him, that you can be complete and whole!!! By Jim Pemberton

PEACE ON EARTH - AND GOODWILL

PEACE ON EARTH – AND GOODWILL

It’s here, It’s there, It’s
everywhere,
In every sound and sight.
It sparkles up the dullest
day,
And gilds the stars at
night.

For some, It’s the
completion
Of all that was foretold.
Babe and star and stable,
And frankincense and
gold.

There are parties, parties,
parties,
In merry festive round.
There’s a night or two of
shelter
And abed that’s off the
ground.

And then, of course,
there’s Santa,
In the grotto, with the
elves,
And pantomimes and
Christmas trees
And Rudolph’s jingle
bells.

There’s bonhomie and
laughter
And reaching out to
share...
And awful, crushing
loneliness
For those no longer
there.

Here’s Health and
Home and Family
And ‘one more for
the road’.
There’s all of life
and living
Laid waste as
bombs explode.

Yet here’s the
wonder of it all,
Explain it if you will,
Within each soul an
echo sounds
‘Peace on Earth...
Goodwill.’
