Christmas with Christ To Look Upon His Face

To Look Upon His Face Nativity of Jesus Oh! Starry twilight night Guiding light glows so up high Moonlit shadows slow dance Shooting stars flashing close by Angel's sweet melody echoes flow With the embracing of heaven Human beings, wildlife, and nature bow down Paying homage to our God's son Sparkling eyes and glowing heart Spirit enthusiasm precedes me to look For a brief moment upon His face Heavenly virtue weeping tears overtook To want to lift Him up and hold in my arms My humbleness to submit to Him And seek his grace and favor Spread my wings and sing a Cherub hymn Oh! Starry twilight night Guiding light glows so up high Moonlit shadows slow dance Shooting stars flashing close by Angel's sweet melody echoes flow With the embracing of heaven Human beings, wildlife, and nature bow down Paying homage to our God's son 11/21/2015

Our Mistake

Some years ago a child was born
Early on a Christmas morn
And in the sky a star did appear
Drawing people from far and near

Bethlehem the holy city the angels said
Some people were so afraid and filled with dread
But still they came to see him and by the star were led
To where the little baby Jesus lay his head

They brought him gifts in worship and crowned the new born king
They thought he was well worth it though not so Herod the king
He wanted Jesus dead for good and so he did decree
Kill all the little babies that should get rid of he

But luckily they missed him, the family had moved on
And when they went a searching, the baby he had gone
He lived to tell his story of his father’s kingdom to come
For this Jesus was crucified and on a cross was hung

He said forgive them father, they know not what they do
And then forgave us for our sins, can this man be true?
His family took him from the cross and laid his body down
Then wrapped his nail holed hands and feet, the laid him in the ground

So when I think of Christmas and of the infant birth
I often think of what we did through all the joy and mirth
So please enjoy your Christmas but try to spare a thought
And think of how we crucified the man who love had brought

The Divine Messenger-Christmas With Christ poem Story contest

Christmas With Christ Poem/Story Contest
Sponsor: Isaiah Zerbst

Way before Jesus Christ was born, I was one of a chosen few,
to be a spiritual Being attending to God.
I thought I was really nobody special,
but He thought I was.
He thought I was a beautiful benevolent being,
Bright and celestial acting as a courier for Him
between Heaven and earth.
See there are different types of angels,
I happen to be the only "Divine Messenger".
And there I stood in paradise, praising,
dancing and singing with Him,
The Almighty glowed with all colors of the rainbow,
With prisms shining out of his hands,
with the maximum of whiteness,
Reflecting His loving arms.
One evening He came to me and expressed
His deep passion for mankind,
I noticed He was excited.
He said, "Soon there shall be a Man, made out of my blood,
a living sacrifice of My word and actions on earth. He shall be
the Savior of all people, and those who believe in Him shall see the Kingdom of Heaven."
When I heard this news I stood there in awe.
For the first time I saw God proclaiming that His
miracles would be performed by a man, His one true Son.
After that, he took me aside and gave me a very
special duty to perform. I was to be the messenger to proclaim to the world that born unto them would be a Savior. He said, "Shout to the world, Heaven and earth that a Son shall be born and
He Shall be named Jesus Christ of Nazareth."
I had strict directions from God.
He told me to prepare myself for my significance was great.
On the day of Christ's birth I was very busy.
I had to gather all the other angels.
The cherubs, archangels, celestial hierarchy's,
the searph's and lastly the guardian Angels.
I was His one and only Divine Messenger,
and what an important duty I had to fulfill!
All day I waited in anticipation of the night that would soon come,
The night our Lord was to be born unto the earth.
As I looked down and watched the sun slowly setting,
I knew it was almost time for me to fly below.
On my way down to Bethlehem,
I saw this star, so vivid the whole sky lit up and it radiated all
Throughout the world.
Following that star were three wise men
and I could see that they had many gifts for Jesus's mother and father, Mary and Joseph.
They were riding on donkey's so slow,
but they wouldn't let that star out of their sight.
When I arrived at the poor little manger,
I saw Mary and Joseph almost where Christ was to be born.
As they rode up I was pained to see how
much anguish Mary was going through. For she was special.
She was a virgin chosen to carry and deliver the one and only Son of God.
My halo was radiating the brightest colors of white's
and yellow's, with a tiny hue of pink.
For I was the angel created to watch and protect this crisp and magnificent Christmas night.
I said, "I have a message from the Almighty Father,
you two shall inherit the earth In thanksgiving for bringing
Jesus into this world. For because of you, all mankind Shall be saved and those who follow Him shall see the
Glory of God and enter the Kingdom of Heaven."
Mary just looked so exhausted and fatigued.
I knew she had but one more push. And then there was one last cry in agony and there He was, Jesus Christ!
I played my trumpet and violin in volumes so intense.
All the pain, suffering and sacrifice was worth it.
Shepherds starting walking up and bringing their
flocks to witness the biggest Miracle that has ever
been performed. Three wise men came up, knelt down while
bowing, bearing gifts of frankincense and myrrh.
I saw Joseph crying in joy and Mary smiling in amazement
 at what had taken Place.
As she gazed down at her little boy she was overwhelmed with a feeling of wonder And admiration.
She looked at her loyal husband and he kissed her on her forehead as if it was the First time he kissed her.
I could just feel the glory in their hearts.
They have been waiting months for this day and it is finally here.
I have never seen something more spiritually awoken than
The souls of those two Proud parents.
Then we all looked up to the sky and that star
shined brighter and emitted all colors of the rainbow.
I am an angel, and I have never seen something
so spectacular in all my time revering God.
As the night carried on, more people from
Bethlehem noticed the star of wonder And you
should've seen all of them praising baby Jesus,
the newborn King....
I've been up here a very long time, in fact for eternity,
And I know in my heart nothing will ever compare.
Although, I did hear a little rumor that Jesus Christ
is coming back to earth real Soon.
I can't wait until all His followers meet with me a
and we can all glorify Him in Heaven forever...
Merry Christmas everyone...

Christmas Past

In midst of forest stands an ancient tree
decorated by nature with white cotton snow puffs,
icicles glisten and gleam sparkling in the sunlight.

Around its base are gathered all the forest's creatures
with pregnant pause they wait as the star shines out
a beacon to all calling out, hush now do you hear?

The sleigh bells ringing out as down swoops Santa
wait, he is not alone with him the blessed babe
in distance approach the three wise men bears gifts.

All the creatures now on bended knees him they salute
the ancient tree smiles knowingly and the heavens
celebrate with comet tails and shooting stars the precious babe.

A Single Leaf Out of A Tree

A single leaf,
Falls out of a tree above me.

As it twist and turn,
The wind blows it in my direction.

But why?

It symbolizes all my struggle and all my pain.

It tells me that they twist and turn,
But never remain.

It takes a sudden fall next to me.

But why?

It symbolizes the thought of being alone.

It tells me that someone is always by my side.

As I write,
The leaf flies away.

As if it had a huge success in it's encouragement.

Nature communicates with us in many ways.

Not with words,
But with a single leaf out of a tree.

A Son's First Christmas

There are more happy faces,
As we go to different places,
Don’t know what the fuss is about,
Guess, I’ll have to wait till I sprout.

So many colorful lights to see,
They’re all hanging on the tree,
Look at the special ornament,
From far away it was sent.

The icy weather is not around here,
One of the boxes has hockey gear,
In summer, we go across the border,
Soon, Santa will get my order.

Next year should be more fun,
Watch as I open gifts one-by-one,
Until then, I’ll have to wait,
Later, Dad will teach me to skate.

Once Upon A Christmas

I stand at the window and watch the snow fall
It's been two hours since Billy left
The wind has built, a blizzard set in
And I can't put my mind at rest.

The snow has drifted blocking the road he took
But he knows his job, the cattle must be watered and fed
And hay for the baby calves to bed.
"I'll be all right," he said.

There is no school it is Christmas vacation
The radio predicted conditions to worsen.
With his family save and warm
He then sets about caring for those out in the storm.

TV and presents keep the children entertained
While I my hair do pull.
Dinner is ready and still Billys not home
And with questions like "When's daddy coming home?
And "Can I go out and play in the snow?"

It is hard for them to understand
It isn't just a snow fall, the danger is far to grave
Wander to far and they could be lost
And in turn perhaps lose their lives.

Two o'clock, three o'clock, four o'clock came
Finally Billy comes through the door
Wet, exhausted and frozen to the bone
He removed his outer garments and collapsed on the chair.

As he ate the children came
Excited to have daddy home
Satisfied he was safe and sound
They went back to their TV and games.

Chore time came and the blizzard ruled
I offered to do my share
He smiled and said, "Everything's fine.
Just the cow to milk and the pigs to feed
And I'll be right back inside. "

I put on my coat took shovel in hand
And worked at clearing the path.
In an hour it would be covered again
But I needed to have some fresh air.

All were in bed, the Christmas tree bright
The Nativity set caught my eye
Tenderly I picked up the manger, bow my head and say
"Thank You Baby Jesus and Happy Birthday."

                                                                Cile Beer

Unknown

Who am I?
Am I defined by what is near in sight?
Am I defined by what I have done,
Or am I defined by what I could become?

Perhaps I'm of no use.
To him, or her, or I, nor you.
Or perhaps I'm too misunderstood to be defined,
And it is something like understanding that comes in time.

And if to the world I'm never shown,
Yet in my own light I've grown and grown,
And so I can know no happiness but my own--
The reason for my smile, to you, will forever be unknown.

I do not pray for the world to know my name.
For it and verse; the letters are the same.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads,
I pray his pain my words to keep.

Should his eyes rain on my page,
Better tears than storms of rage.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads.
I pray his pain my words to keep.

And if to the world you're never shown,
Yet in your own light you've grown and grown,
And so you know no happiness but your own.
Let the reason for your smile, to you, only be known.

Mary's Christmas

Finally the agony,
of childbirth has ended.
A newborn baby's cry is heard,
and Satan's plans are upended.

Joseph hastened to clean the babe,
then tenderly laid him at my breast.
We both stare in awe-struck wonder at this child,
God's own Son in human flesh.

Tears of joy trickle down my face,
as I caress Your downy head.
My son - God's Son - Jesus.
Just like the angel said.

"Look Joseph, He's perfect,"
I said as I swaddled him up tight.
Joseph smiled and nodded his head.
It had been a momentous night.

Why me, Lord? Why was I the one,
to be chosen for this blessed honor?
I feel so common and unworthy,
to be Messiah's mother.

Look at us! We're in a stable,
a manger for Your Son's bed.
Surely the Son of God should have been
born in a palace instead?

But Your ways are beyond my understanding,
this humble birth you have decreed.
I will not give in to complaining,
because I know You'll meet every need.

Child of my heart, God's promise kept,
welcome to the world You made.
You have come to bring the earth Good News,
and on You our hopes are laid.

Hidden Christmas

I look all around and what do I see?
Christmas in code, a pure fantasy.

A plump happy Santa, a child on his knee
Under the bough of a tall Christmas tree.

Stockings and ribbons, merry and bright
Plenty of gifts of varying heights.

Snowmen and reindeer, angels and lights
Dreaming of feasting and sleigh rides at night.

But friend, don't be taken with this imagery
For Christmas is more than what we can see.

True Christmas began in a whole different way
A virgin, a stable, a babe on the hay.

And God with a plan, to save men from sin
A Savior, a gift for mankind, sent from Him.

A humble beginning, no earthly delights
He broke through the darkness and gave us the Light.

So do not be fooled by this fanciful sight
That does not remember God's power that night.

He conquered our sin and freed us from death
For Christmas is CHRIST, and His gift is the best.

Christmas Abecedarian

All over the house I find
Bits of Christmas left behind.
Crumbles from the Christmas bread
Dropped by little ones as they fed.
Each memento brings a tear
For Christmas is gone for another year.
Glad tidings from the Christmas choir
Have been like wrappings, tossed on fire.
If I could turn back time, I would,
Just for more Christmas if I could.
Kings knelt before the new born boy,
Love filled sweet Mary's heart with joy.
Mooing cattle looked with awe.
None would forget the scenes they saw.
Peeling bells in triumph rang,
Overhead the angels sang.
Quite rapidly the news was spread,
Reporting on Babe in the hay bed.
Shepherds gazed at Child with awe,
Told to others what they saw.
Until Herod spilled his harsh words out,
Vowing to kill each male child about.
When parents gathered the Child and fled,
X rays would have found no Babe in bed.
Years have passed and details grow dim.
zealously we tell the tale of Him.

What If Christmas Never Came

What If… Christmas Never Came??? What if Christmas never happened? What if Christmas never came? Things around here would be different! It wouldn’t be the same! What if the baby Jesus was never born in a manger? Mankind would be in serious trouble. We’d all be in danger! If the baby Jesus wasn’t born. There would be no nativity. We wouldn’t be able to display this during our “festivity.” It’s almost like this now! It’s an “ever increasing business.” It seems like nearly everyone wants “Christ out of Christmas!” Why does it seem like Christmas is losing it’s true meaning? The very words; “Merry Christmas,” seem to be quickly disappearing! Many say; “Happy Holiday.” They worry they may “offend.” Having a “holiday” without Christ…. Once again! We need to put Jesus Christ back into our CHRISTmas season! He is what Christmas is about! HE is the very reason! May we all take some time to rejoice in our savior’s birth. May there be shouts of JOY! From the corners of the earth! Let’s not take Christ out of our joyous celebration! We need him so much right now! All over this great nation! May we bring to him a heart of love for everything he’s done. As we bring honor to Christ. God’s precious son! May we continually offer to him a heart filled with praise! Little Baby Jesus

The crowded streets are cold
And her bottle's getting dry
She can hear the Baby Jesus
As he's singing in the sky
Cold rain is pouring down
There's winter in the air
People spending money
And there's christmas everywhere

With a bottle for her sickness
And a toast for the healed
A quick prayer for the wounded
On her christmas battlefield
A street light is her holy star
as her christmas make-believe
And a cardboard on the pavement
Is her home for christmas eve

She has no christmas gift
No christmas story she can tell
She's got a basket full of junk
And a body she can sell
Some says she'll never be forgiven
For her dirty kind of trade
But if one can buy forgivness
she already has paid

The sun is always shining
Down on some folks head
They never have to starve
Or to beg for daily bread
They give each other gifts
While Baby Jesus cry in vain
As he is begging them to stop
And help a human in the rain

Men will call her hooker
As their rising appetite
Make them use her body
In their lousy lonely night
It is cold and it is christmas
The whole world is standing still
And since noone else will help her
Let's hope Baby Jesus will...

THEY BELIEVED IN THE SAVIOR

The were the three Magi with mantels and beards, traveling
on strong camels as far as Bethlehem and having
seen a wondrous star, they began their long journey
by bringing precious gifts, but they warned Joseph and Mary
of Herod's malicious intent...so they fled to Egypt
on a donkey that never complain of a sore hip!

They believed in the Savior as Herod himself full of pride,
and being very wise, they never returned
to tell him what kind of child they had found!
They brought their gifts and knelt at a child
whose fate as foretold was to die for us all,
and he gladly accepted them hearing His Father's call!

Not having heard from the Wise Men who had lied to Him,
Herod sent his soldiers to kill all children under three: screams terrorized Bethlehem;
no, they weren't moved by their mother's painful cry
and shedding their innocent blood they revenged that lie!
O mothers of Bethlehem, Jesus knew that they were slaughtered because of Him!
O mothers of Bethlehem, you wept and moaned as they bled as a sacrificial lamb!

They believed in the Savior from what they had read,
and wanted to see for themselves the glorious event that Daniel spoken of:
the brightest star shining over Bethlehem as angels sang,
announcing Christ's birth in a small town groping on a hill of citrus and clove!

What is Christmas Really About

Quickly is coming Christmas day,
Perhaps you ponder with dismay
Amidst the shopping and the shouts,
What is Christmas really about?

Is it about reindeer and elves,
The gifts we wish for ourselves?
Is it about wrapping paper and bows,
Stockings stuffed with goodies clear to the toes?

Is it about family, friends, and feast,
The smell of bread baking rising with yeast?
About trees, lights, and cute decorations,
Parties, eggnog, and celebrations?

These commodities make the holiday bright,
But something else is required to make it right;
For Christmas is not about programs and costumes worn,
But about a miraculous baby that was born.

About Mary and Joseph, man and wife,
Who came to Bethlehem pregnant with life.
No room was left for them in the inn,
Shelter was found in a cattle pen.

The time of her delivery would not waiver,
In that stable she experienced labor.
Born into a place smelling of manure,
Christ arrived our salvation to assure.

Nearby shepherds tending flocks by night
Were startled by a glorious light.
Angels while seeking to calm their fear
Came proclaiming this event of cheer.

Told of a birth of a baby boy,
A king, a savior, who would bring joy.
His mission was one of peace,
From our sins to bring release.

Then with haste they went with glee,
Marveled at what they did see;
Found him in a manger yet filled with glory
Then left with excitement to tell his story.

So as we gather this December
May this jingle help us remember,
Christmas is not about dear old Santa Claus
But about the Christ who saves us from our flaws.

OUR SAVIOR'S BIRTH

In the silence of the night,
A baby is born to be the king,
                                              Angels from heaven are rejoicing,
Stars from the black sky are shining.

On the manger lies a baby smiling,
That day, a miracle is happening,
All over the world are celebrating,
On the place we called Bethlehem.

O holy night, our savior’s birth,
Let us kneel, pray, and praise Jesus,
Peace on earth for this glorious day,

If I Were There In Bethlehem

If I were in Bethlehem at the time of the Messiah's birth
I'd surely would want to be an intake particle of his breath
A communicative glimpse inside his clear hued eyes of old
A piece of golden hay, aside his mandala ray
If I were there in that tiny little stable he called home
I'd want to offer gifts of girth to keep him very warm
A ladle for his pouring love, a safety pin to ply him in
A yoke for ox and donkey voyageurs alike, the "glus" ,
If I had the chance to graze the heavens like a telling star
I'd surely point my light his way and teach myself to lay
A carpenter, a father of compassion I would be, his sentry
A mother devotee, part of the trinity, his bib, his rib,
If I were there that blessed night when Christ was born
I'd want to be his holy cloth, his private Kataluma "Inn"
A cunning serpent on my writhing belly warming him
A speck of dirt, a second spurt, a timeless ebony;
If I were there in Bethlehem at the time of my Messiah's birth,
I'd be a crafty little hand made shawl to hem him in until eternity.

The First Christmas Present

A spider spun a silver web in a mound of golden straw, Then he hid himself inside the stack, away from the wind so raw. He yelled down to the sheep below Who were trying to huddle close, “It’s times like this that I wish there was a fire for a mutton roast. For winter had come upon the land and his barn was deathly cold, He wasn’t sure if he’d survive the night if the truth of it were told. He tried to dream a dream of hope to get him through the night, But he couldn’t bring himself to sleep because of a blinding light. A star was shinning down on them as if the sun in mid-day glory, The little spider had yet to learn of the coming Christmas story. Below was a ewe with her lamb both snuggled up together, Trying their best to keep warm in the cold of the winter weather. “I’d never trade places with you anyway,” the mother sheep bleated out, “Why are you so happy in your hate to lend voice to pain and doubt?” The light from heaven kept them awake and staring in wide wonder, When two weary travelers entered in and the straw became their plunder. The little spider became dislodged as a nest of straw was piled, And he could see that one of the travelers was very great with child. The three companions watched it all; they’d never seen a human being born, They were all surprised when at his birth There came the peal of an angelic horn. A herald’s call went out to all the land announcing the newborn king, And the spider and the ewe shared a laugh to think of such a thing. Because this baby was so very small and his parents were so poor, Yet there was something about this newborn child that neither could ignore. The spider looked down on the ewe and said in a voice too bold, “This baby needs to be swaddled now to keep him from the cold. Good ewe I can spin for him a cover if you’ll allow me to use your fleece.” So together they worked to swaddle the child on this night of Holy peace. The mother smiled at them all as she took the blanket for her boy, Then laid him in a manger poor and they were overcome with joy. The meaning of this wondrous event was what made them all feel glad, For they had brought the first gift to the Lord by sharing what they had. And the warmth, which they had provided the child, also kept the three of them warm, May the loving joy that they discovered keep you this Christmas morn. Merry Christmas!

A Gray Christmas

The little boy sits by the christmas tree
Full of light and color
Trying to figure out what all the colors are
He puts his little hands on the ornaments
Trying to see what they are
Feeling them
He steps back and falls over a present
He feels around the box trying to open it
Only seeing alittle

Mean while on the phone..

his mom is talking to the doctor

"do you think he will be able to see by christmas?" she says
The doctor replies "theres no guarentees, he is 67 % blind, when we did the test with him, he described the color blue as a dark black, and a yellow as a light gray, your son only sees in black and white and im not sure if we can fix that. but we will do our best"

A breathe escapes from her lips as she turns and looks at her son
The doctor explains "his surgery is set for Dec. 7th. be here around 8 am and we will see what we can do, im trully sorry"
He hangs up.

Back in the living room

The boy stands up and walks over to his mom
"mom, have you seen the christmas lights?" he says

She replies "yes sweety i have."

He hugs her leg and says "are they black and white?"

She answers "no sweety" she points to a light bulb on the tree

"this one is blue" she smiles

He grabs the light bulb and repeats "this one is blue" and giggles

She lays him down in his bed as he quickly falls asleep

She sits down on the chair and thinks
"to me. because my son cannot see the beautiful lights and feel the joys of christmas, everything is gray for me. nothing will fill my empty heart"

There are no smiles, when everything is gray, when you cant see the colors of a bright day

If There Was NO Christmas

Not only at Christmas time… But all of our days! By Jim Pemberton

A Child's Idea of Christmas

Christmas Day is here.
Jesus is here too.
And, all I want to say,
is Happy Birthday to You.

The true meaning of Christmas

Astonished by the news of her pregnancy, a young Virgin becomes bewildered, only
the assurance of a visit by an angel sent by God, that all is well. That all the adversities
they would face on their journey to Bethlehem{Mary and Joseph} and all the astrocitie's
sure to occur cause of the birth of the baby being carry by Mary, prepares them for the
Miraculous day that Jesus Christ is born. "The true meaning of Christmas", is diversified
by God himself, "Unto us a child is born, unto the pathetic world a Gift is given, a Gift of
Joy and Great Light". In this troublesome world Mary, your baby will become that light.
Smilling faces on all the young face's and Mary and Joseph are part of the Christmas
story, and the sheppards and and the wisemen's are prepared to present him with gifts
after the angel have warn them of this great day and the star settle upon the little king
of Glory.
As we celebrate, and as the day recussiatate's, to many its just another day, but Jo-
seph had thoughts of privily putting Mary away. He has dream's, but the encouraging of
God's angel for a divorce from mary is not to be. "The true meaning of Christmas, is
diversified, someplaces around the world the snow has blanked the city with beauty and
the bird's are flying and forever and ever this day is mortified.
