Hi grandpa it's me again!
Your dentures sit in an open glass
Do you remember the tears grandma sang before she passed?
The way she looked into your eyes,
Moments before she said her goodbyes
Grandpa, I found a note from grandma, she doesn't want you to cry.

Hi grandpa, it’s me again!
The rocking chair is old and dusty
Do you remember the way grandma sat me on her lap?
Read many stories before I took a nap
How she enjoyed brushing my hair with her hands
Love the way she rocked me to sleep every night until I grew.

Hello grandpa!
I stored your hearing aid away
Do you remember that special musical box in grandma's drawer?
I opened it last night, to watch the ballerina dance
I wish you could hear the tiny chimes grandma lived in
I hope you don’t mind, I’m keeping grandmothers favorite scarf.

Hello Grandpa!
I'm caressing grandma’s picture frame
Do you like the way she looked in that pretty sundress?
Grandpa, I miss the things grandmother did for you
I like the walking stick she handcrafted, the day your needed support
It kept you in balance every time we took long hikes in the woods.

Hello grandpa, it's me again!
Here I sit holding your hand
I have no more tears
Soon you will see grandma
Please tell her hi, and I know you will be there the day I die
Bye, grandpa
Give grandma a kiss, and tell her I miss her

Looking towards the blue sky
Every color camouflaged around the cloud
Tears of sadness began to dry
Watching all the colors display out loud

The dark needing to fade
The grey in my life finally made sense
Colors overlapping, forming a beautiful cascade
Shoulders of tense

I imagined your smile against the yellow sun
Giving light to all the matter of the things I've done
A warmness in my red heart-- together in the long run
Creating a new purple and pink sensation-- as one

My new rainbow doesn't come in black and white
Giving reason to follow the joy of light
A gift of colors remind me everything will be all right
A guide blazing throughout the night

Lavender plant blooming for the world to see
A garden of every color just for me
Everyday I see the sunrise, rising up in colors of glee
My Rainbow will appear everyday without rain, no matter how deep the sea

Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet, the perfect skin tan
My sweet angel your the largest spectrum where ever rainbows span

I wrote this poem for my mom.

Goodbye, My Child

Where cradled canyons sing
Of ebony wood in the forest
There lies a gurgling spring
Where cockcrows sing their chorus
To the melody of singsong birds
There I’ve concealed my sensuous words
Filled with befitted signs
The saccharine whiff of my designs

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Where the fogs of night are fountains
Spills of glistened moon ignite
By distant silhouette mountains
We dance with passion of fight
Entwining ancient stance
Mingling hand in hand we dance
Till the mountains smile on high
Near and far we spring
To pursue the realest of dreams
While the world cries at its seams
Anxious in trouble to cling

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

To where the ridges merry make
From the beaks of wooden bright
In sparkly pools the ghouls awake
That scarce to stir our night
We watch for seekers down under
Muttering secrets in their soul
We bid them lucks of shivers
Dipping gently in
From reeds that hide a tear of a foal
Under the gentle rivers

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Far away she shall ever churn
The taciturn eyed
She’ll listen no more to turn
To the working mills beside
Or the scrubbing of the barn
May peace weave in her song
She shall wave in the yarn
To a haven known as Belong

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

For she comes, the mortal youth
To the wild realm of her truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only her tears be found

Eye of the Beholder

A child's beauty contest I watched in such awe;
young girl in a wheelchair to her father, his all.
Escorting her on stage with such grace and pride;
each so blessed to be at the others' side.

A fragile princess in a purple pageant dress;
twirling her first in her chair then lifting her to his chest.
Their dance so inspiring; such an enchanting sight;
so gently he lifted her high up to the sky.

Sparkling, bright eyes and the most beautiful smile;
none deserving of a crown more than this precious child.
An imperfect body, viewed as a gift from above;
her beauty matched only by a father's boundless love.

Beauty in my eyes is not found in perfection;
but in acceptance, uniqueness, love and dedication.

Dear Child

You came into this world
And upon your little face
Bestow the glow
Of beauty and grace
Let your thunder be heard
When the time is right
People will follow
As you shine your light
God bless you dear child
May you grow without dismay
And God will guide you
As you journey on your way

A mother's treasures

A solitary piece the diamond
precious rare gem most treasured
by those lucky enough to hold
Once in possession it is rarely out of grasp
Like the gemstone the mother
requires very specific conditions
in holding fast her (family/) childrens love
Treasured forever in her heart
she will go out of her way
to preen and protect them
holding them dear to her
deep within her maternal safe – the heart
closely guarded by the mind
Her infatuation of all treasures to her
are totally understandable
especially when you think to the complexity
of structure and process taken in creation
Just as from the ‘unbreakable’ in ancient greek
this alletrope of carbon
with strength of bonding between atoms
is representative of that strong love
between mum and child
The maternal being could be compared
to the superlative physical qualities of the stone
Even the characteristic luster
of this gem so prevaient from its ability
to disperse light and colour
compared to the many strengths, roles and qualities
of the mother
seen by the many she deals with daily
A most high pressured job
versus the high pressured temperature
within the Earths mantle
that forms the delightful rock it gives birth to
Infants delight and ignite the forbearer
just as the jewel would dazzle the room
a mother’s love encaptures the magical luster
of those she’s birthed and nothing
stands inbetween this richest of cargo’s

In my father's eyes, I'll always be his princess,
No matter how old I've grown, he still sees
His little girl, dancing across the invisible stage
Before him.
A living Cinderella in miniature form, whom
Will never grow up, and thinks her dad is prince
Charming, and the strongest man on earth.
Cradling within this wondrous heart, is devotion’s
Biggest fan, the man I call my father, he's protector,
Comforter, and the everlasting image, of the perfect
Man that I idolize.
No wizard's wand or sword, holds more magic
Than his tender words of wisdom, as I stroll
Down the yellow brick road of life, I'm his
Dorothy, and he is, the Wizard of my oz.
Oh Papa, you've instilled the wonderment
Of this world within me, and I know, no matter
Where I roam, he shall always be a part
Of me.
You've always said, no matter how old I get
That within thy heart, a princess remains, timeless,
Ageless, as if Alice, hidden behind the looking glass,
Peering through from wonderland, magical world.
Perfection's cherished rose, whom never loses it's
Petals, but blossoms nourished by loves fertile soil,
That only a father's faith can provide.
I'll always be his princess, no matter what bad
Choices I may make in life, I know he'll pick me
Up and smooth out the wrinkles in my velvet gown,
Wiping away my tears, turning them instantly into diamond
Shards, and letting me dance away again, clapping
For this his darling princess.
So let the musical waltz of life, play forever forward,
As I lightly tip toe, across destiny’s ballroom floor.
My dancing card remains eternally full, written within
One name stands out, it is yours dearest sweet man.
He is after all my prince charming, and I am
His dearest little girl, and of coarse in his eyes
Always his little princess.

Fifteen tiny Swallows

Fifteen tiny swallows

Fifteen tiny swallows
All perched upon a fence
Oh what handsome fellows
But here, let me commence
To speak of all their beauty
These tiny little birds
All black and cream with a reddish throat
Oh how my heart they stirred

A lady walking with her dog
Disturbed these little guys
So from the fence these birds take wing
And head towards the skies
It seems that they are dancing
In the way they fly around
They always seem to fly in circles
And nearly touch the ground.

I walk around these wetlands
And wonder at it all
Everyday it’s something else
And it’s all so beautiful
Ducks and swallows, parrots too
And the beauty of the lake
I love to walk there most of all
At the coming of the daybreak.

Since First I Saw You

Since first I saw you, it was your eyes,
mesmerizing, your gaze transporting
me to a realm, not of fantasy, real,
where young men go when cupid’s
arrow takes root.

Since first I saw you, it was your lips,
captivating, holding me frozen
in anticipation of our lips brushing
for the first time.

Since first I saw you, it was your voice,
a crescendo, light, invigorating,
each word you speak intensifies
my hearing, enveloping each
note, time ceases as I hang motionless
savoring, memorizing.

Since first I saw you, it was your hair,
long, flowing, gently rising above
your shoulders as a slight breeze
passes through sending waves
of your essence my way.
The sun magnifying each strand,
highlighting the minute
variances of invigorating color,
creating a halo effect, a portrait of
your beauty forever imprinted.

Since first I saw you, It was you,
my love forever more for you,
only you.

My God on Earth: My Mother

A heart that cries more than me
in my pain.
Whose congenial and benign teachings
make me sane.
A warm touch that dispels from me
the gales of worry.
Whose proximity ensures me that I'm
protected by her under furry.
A helping hand that always hold me
whenever I'm about to lose.
& my first teacher who makes me to
distinguish between donts' and dos'.
A voice and nothing more, an Angel
who is entirely mine just after my birth.
And she is none other but 'My Mother',
The God on Earth.
Although to define her in words is
beyond my skill.
Nevertheless I can say that her pace in
my life, none can fill.
She is the one who needs not a single
word of me to understand.
In my devastation, she is always there
to provide effusively her hand.
In the weariness of my life, with her,
I may lose to be in link.
But she ever remembers me whenever I
breathe or my eyes blink.
I can say that in search of heaven,
I needn't to go anywhere.
I would like to put my head in my
mother's lap, as its only there..

Groundswell Girl - Named by JB

Enter a storybook tale
Where I can be
The heroine you hail
Lucid dreams of soft reflection
A touch heated with lust and desired protection
A breathe a gasp as we succeed
Join the fairytale with me
Valiant night within dark eyes
the right movement and I make them shine
like moonlight on the steamy hot spring
care to follow for a little dip with me
Trailing like the water at my fingertips
Grasp me around my hips
As close as the breeze on my skin
Whisper lies as I let you in
Lips mumbling up my thighs
bare heart exposed to the sky
fire burning in my veins
Am I a mistress of this lust or simply a slave
Trembling with desire
Take me till we've lost count of the hours

The Mirrors Spoke

The fear of her looks
Became thorns in her side
Her images were shattered
Because the mirrors decide

This beautiful girl
Who sees a different face
She hears the world laughing
No matter where she is in place

In her bedroom at home
She faces her demons alone
Unknown to her family
For years she has roamed

In her dreams one night
She receives her wish
Surrounded by mirrors
She cuts her wrists

Because the fear of her looks
Had penetrated so deep inside
This beautiful girl
Who now, no longer resides

Steal The Show

As I looked upon my Daughter Michaela it was clear to see
Two big beautiful blue eyes were looking back at me

When I got home from Prison and she was 5 days old
Speaking of holding the warm after absorbing the cold

The happiness of childhood was looking up to see
A little bundle of love that was looking inside of me

She would lie upon my chest and then she would fall out
I think safety in her daddy’s arms is what that was all about

She had a beautiful smile as well as a beautiful glow
As I looked at every tiny finger and every little toe

Then when she opened up her eyes everybody knew
“Just take a look at those blue eyes she looks just like you”

No ones knows where life may lead but I know in my heart
Made my end then started again so this baby would have a start

From the darkest night to the brightest light I can help her Soul
Perhaps in the overall scheme of things that always was my goal

I don’t think things are ever quite that easy, only thing I know
When it comes to beautiful babies, my little girl steals the show

My Father in Heaven

As I set on the porch
Looking at the clear blue sky
With the clouds rolling in
I can see you on one of those clouds
With a harp in your hands
Playing soft beautiful music
That's only played in Heaven.

I can imagine the beautiful smile on your face
Looking down on me
Letting me know that you are free
Like a flying white dove
I can picture you standing at the pearly gates
And walking the streets of Gold
With your beautiful wings
You will never carry a heavy load
For, you are free as a bird.

Baby Girl

Yesterday it seemed like it'd been forever ago
And today it seems like it was only yesterday that you came home
You were so small and so beautiful
It was amazing to raise you and watch how you grew
But i still wanna hold you and sing to you like i used to
And i need you to still need me like you used to
I know that you have what it takes to make it in this world
And the strength of an army and the courage of a soldier to take it all on
But in my heart i'm still so afraid to let go, i don't want you to be gone
Because i couldn't take it i would miss you like crazy
And i would give any and everything to you no question
My whole world, my first love, a true blessing

To you whom gave me life,
Rocked and sang, sweet melodies lullabies
By night, and cradled me safe and warm,
Within a mother's loving, and tender embrace.
Taught an awkward child, to take her
First steps, and held me upwards so as not
To fall.
Devotion's nightmare protector, who always
Made sure the closet door remained closed, and
The bathroom night light was left on, so the
Monsters under the bed could never get me.
Champion of the chocolate chip cookie, never did
You once forget the bare necessities of life,
Such as having icy cold milk in the refrigerator.
Movie queen diva, whom popped the perfect
Kernels of popcorn, and added just the right
Amount of butter, for everyone's picky tastes,
On our annual family nights.
From diapers to tattered blue jeans,
Barbie dolls, and trying on your over sized high
Heels, you never ceased to amaze me.
On every level mother dearest, you
Were always the ultimate super hero to me.
Through hardships heartache, and loves first flirtations,
But no shoulder's comfort, soothed me more
Than she, whom guided this awkward teenager,
Through these hard times of youthful regrets.
A grown woman am I now, raising children of
My own, realizing all the sacrifices you've made,
All in the name of a mother's love.
No ages wrinkles, can take away your true
Beauty, held as a frozen photograph
Within the inner heart of my soul.
She's the dear sweet image of what
I want my children to remember me by.
It's the highest form of flattery,
To emulate, a someone special,
Such as yourself, a woman called mother.

Love, Death, and Rebirth

The signs started in December
When she started waking up in tears each night
She was a normal girl with dark brown hair and darker brown eyes
She had plenty of friends and a loving family with just one thing missing
Her father.

Days passed by and turned into weeks but only felt like a few seconds
Her life just whizzed by faster and faster until it was just a whirr in front of her eyes
Darkness filtered into her heart and mind until she didn't know if she could go on
But she had to. She couldn't let her mother and her sister drown in this same pain
She wouldn't let them.

She pushed all the darkness into the depths of her own heart
In hopes to save the hearts of the two people she had left
Because what else was there to live for now?
The rest of her world had crashed and her mother and sister was all that was left
She wouldn't let them drown in pain too.

She watched as they started to heal in her loving arms
Their hearts started to lighten up once more
But hers was just as dark as it was before
And growing darker day by day
But she wouldn't let that stop her.

Suddenly a year had passed... and then two
It only seemed like seconds to her but everyone else started moving on
Her mother and sister no longer needed her nurturing care
But she needed someone to hold on to

With nothing left for her to take control of, the dark pushed past her boundries
It found a way into her soul
Until all she could see was dark and no light
But her mother and sister were healed now
They didn't understand

The tears came back and engulfed her soul
Bit by bit until she wasn't sure why she was still alive
The grief took over like knives
Piercing her skin over and over and over
It hurt so much.

She started to wonder what it'd look like to be dead
She could see him again if she was
Wouldn't it be so much easier than having to endure this pain?
Wouldn't it be so much easier than having to live knowing she'd never see him again?
It would.

So she started to hate herself
All that negative energy was starting to take toll
Everyone around her was breathing while she suffocated more and more by the second
She wished she'd just choke already instead of living in constant pain
If no one would put her out of her misery, she'd have to do it herself

She couldn't see any light anymore
So she grabbed the pill bottle off the shelf and just hoped it wouldn't take long to die
Deep down she still had a spark of light, but she just couldn't find it
And now it was too late in her mind to change, to turn back and try to look deeper
She was done living.

That's when people started to notice that everything wasn't as peaceful as it seemed
They started to see how deeply depressed she had become
They wanted to help her see the light again before it was too late
So they sent her away to see doctors and to take pills to make everything better
It was a start.

She didn't see a change at first but suddenly she could think clearly
Maybe what they were doing was actually going to help her see the light again
Yes, she still wanted to die, but maybe that wasn't the only option anymore
They cared, and behind all their own problems they were trying to understand
They really were trying

Six months longer she would be treated and cared for
Until suddenly she was sent home from her treatment and care with a smile on her face
She had a new perspective
Someone had helped her ignite that spark in her heart until it was a glowing ember
She had been reborn

Sometimes you have to be able to experience the worst of it
To come back shining brighter than before
And if she had died that cold day in October, she wouldn't of ever seen the best of it
Or known that it would get better
and it did!

And she now sits at her laptop, with a smile on her face and warmth in her heart
It's never been an easy road and it won't ever be
But at least she knows she's lived through the worst
And it can only get better from here

So whenever she feels lonely or gets back into that dark spot again
She can look back on what she's learned and can read this poem
And remember that she survived the darkest depths of depression
And she will continue to survive it as long as she lives
Because she is stronger now than she ever was before ?

Midnight Lullaby

I wrapped all my tears, to see you smile.
you are the best, always by my side.
I tell you my feelings will get you crying,
you must think I’m out of my mind.

You don’t know, what I know,
all the angels let me go.

We were born to teethe and die,
you will grow to be so fine.
Fall in love, feel your softer side,
Remember me when life is kind.

When you go, let me know,
don’t walk away like the world and go.

Life is rough and the world unkind,
fight them down and you will be fine.
The truth of live is a brutal sight,
make no mistakes, you can learn from mine.

You have a strong heart, you are unique
I treasure times when you smile at me.

Live the life, I could not find,
be there for me, when I say goodbye.

My One True Love,

My Darling,
I fear my time is near and there are some things I must say. I have loved you from the first time I set eyes upon you across the room. Even though my heart was breaking I cried tears of sorrow and of joy at the same time for I lost the love of my life while she gave birth to her love of her life.
Now I never remarried for you made my life complete.I watched you grow up and change from a little girl into a woman and if I stay I know I will only be in the way. I am bed ridden and can't even take control of my pipe so what good would I be when the grandchildren come in to see me. I look off in the distance I can see her.
She smiles at me and she still looks like she did the day she went away she told me she would wait for me so don't delay.

I hesitate to leave you my love but he did ask for you hand and I hope he's a good man. If he doesn't treat you well he better know your parent will be looking down to see all below. Live happy love well and above all be blessed. For I wish the lord dwell in you house as he did in mine.

A Single Leaf Out of A Tree

A single leaf,
Falls out of a tree above me,
 As it twist and turn,
The wind blows it in my direction,
It symbolizes the ending point of my
struggles and all my pain,
It tells me that they twist and turn,
But never remain,
It takes a sudden fall next to me,
But why?
It symbolizes the thought of being
It tells me that someone is always
by my side,
As I write,
The leaf flies away,
As if it had a huge success in
Nature communicates with us in
many ways,
Not with words,
But with a single leaf out of a tree.

You are the wise one of the family. You are the
giver and doer, and true believer. You shape us,
as we grow. You are there for the good and bad, and
all the in betweens. You play parts, that you already
played with your children, before us. If it wasn't for
you, the world would not be as sweet. If it wasn't for
you, we wouldn't know what family values mean. After
all, you did instill that within your children, who
in turn, instilled it into us. All the meals would be
microwavable or served cold, because there would have
been no recipes to pass along to the next generation.
Besides, you know Grandmas cooking, is always the
best. You are the prayer when things need a little help.
All in all Grandma, the world would be a cold, unfeeling
place without you. So thank you for all the things you
do, which are too numerous to list. I love you Grandma.

My Jasmine

Written for my beautiful Grandaughter, at the time she was born Peter

My Jasmine

Oh Jasmine you were born to be an angel
And one day with your love you’ll change the world
My child, you are your grand dad’s special treasure
My Jasmine you’re my wide eyed baby girl.

My Jasmine, they’ll not find another flower
Who could fill my heart with joy, the way you do
My child, you are a rare and precious blossom
No words could ever spell my love for you

I thank the blessed power, that she did send us
This essence that be you my lovely child
The love for you that dwells within my heartstrings
Is like a tender rose that’s growing wild

Oh Jasmine, you have made this old heart happy
Which surely be the story of your life
For where thee be, then happiness will follow
Your tenderness will rid the world of strife

oh mother

i never tell you i love you,
but you dont too,

oh mother,

i hate it when you hover,
i hate it when you cry,
i hate it when you leave me,
and i hate it when you say bye,

oh mother, oh mother,
you get upset when i do wrong,
but u get happy when i write a song,
i never understand u,
believe me i never do,
but i love u, i love u, i love u
when u cry i cry,
when u smile i do,
your so strong,
and in the end u dont do wrong,
your the melody of the song,
you always know everything,
and ill always wait on ur ring,
cuz when i hear ur voice,
i become happy,

mother oh mother,

i love u so,
please forgive me for all my wrongs,
and believe that it wont be long,
before i become like u,
i know its too good to be true,
your perfect,.
and i will never be,
but i will accept the real me,
mother I LOVE U!

Who am I?
Am I defined by what is near in sight?
Am I defined by what I have done,
Or am I defined by what I could become?

Perhaps I'm of no use.
To him, or her, or I, nor you.
Or perhaps I'm too misunderstood to be defined,
And it is something like understanding that comes in time.

And if to the world I'm never shown,
Yet in my own light I've grown and grown,
And so I can know no happiness but my own--
The reason for my smile, to you, will forever be unknown.

I do not pray for the world to know my name.
For it and verse; the letters are the same.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads,
I pray his pain my words to keep.

Should his eyes rain on my page,
Better tears than storms of rage.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads.
I pray his pain my words to keep.

And if to the world you're never shown,
Yet in your own light you've grown and grown,
And so you know no happiness but your own.
Let the reason for your smile, to you, only be known.

You're an angel just waiting to enter our lives,
I can't wait to see your beautiful eyes.

The sweet little grandchild, I know that you'll be,
It's almost time for you to be here with me.

The moon shines bright in the sky for you,
It's now time for us to start anew.

You're a precious jewel in an ocean of love,
Sent down to us from the angels above.

You are born to this earth on this special day,
A miracle you are, in every way.

The sun shines it's brightest rays down on you,
And the stars are smiling with joy for you too.

You are loved here on earth and from up above,
You're our precious new grandchild and a gift for our love.

Princess Tinsels baby girl

Princess tinsels baby girl.

There were fairies dancing all around
In a green and purple wonderland
The crickets chirped and the green frogs croaked
As those tiny campfires hissed and smoked

Tinsel, fairy queen just smiled
Her feet kept dancing all the while
For beside her lay the fairy child
Who one day would the world, beguile.

How the meadows filled with joyous crowds
Of woodland folk all gay and loud
This child would be their future queen
And a gayer bunch was never seen.

So people filled the valley lands
For a feast for all it had been planned
To celebrate this fairy queen
And let her beauty then be seen

The feast all over, folk did say
That it had been a bonzer day
As each of them went to their beds
To rest their tired and weary heads.

and i also wish i could tell my mom, who would be so disapointed in me.
i only wish i could come out and scream to the world.
                                                "I DON'T CARE I'M IN LOVE WITH A GIRL!"
i only wish that my mother could see,
that even though i might be gay, i still want her to love me.
so tonight ill call her, my lover (if that) and fight with her when she ccalls herself fat.
i laugh along with her, and talk about her day.
then my mom will burst through the door crying. then i'll tell her, im gay.

A Fathers Perspective

I was scared oh so scared
Seeing my baby that way
Her tiny little body
Was all purple and grey

My heart feared the worst
I thought she was gone
Down a dark corridor
My mind had been drawn

My heart became joyful
When the doctor touched her feet
A crying pink angel
This proud papa would meet

I waited to hold her
A truly special day
The cutest thing ever
What else can I say

Moments become years
Special memories are made
Ones that are important
In my heart I've replayed

Like watching musicals
Nick naming her, Gal Sal
My Christina would giggle
Her daddy's little pal

Her happy disposition
Would always make me smile
I treasured each moment
Saved them in a mental file

Like learning to ride a bike
Needing to do it alone
I loved the look of triumph
When she did it on her own

My little daughter growing
Still daddy's little girl
Her my special angel
A treasure and a pearl

My spirits had been low
She went with me on a walk
I felt so much better
Christina let me talk

She had become a woman
Sensitive, wise and kind
Within her heart a treasure
My answer I would find

Cruising down a river
In China mile by mile
Wishing for forever
Yet it passed in just a while

Still I can remember
I really saw her that day
Travelling on her own path
She had found her special way

Now today on her Wedding
I could not be more proud
There's special in her quiet
She is strong although not loud

I entrust her to Michael
My most precious gift
On the strong wings of prayer
Together may God lift

I wrote this poem using My wife Mary's, brother inlaw's memories.
Today July 26th, 2014 is his daughter's wedding day. May God bless
Christina and Mike's union.

A Portrait Of Friendship

I gazed across the room,
A portrait of friendship,
Parents of generations,
Young and old blessed with friends,
Gathered to dine and enjoy another's company,
The sounds of music in the air,
The pianist caressed the keys,
With an old familiarity,
Songs of generations,
Lively and enjoyable,
A cup of tea, complimented,
With delicious foods,
A goodtime had by all,
A portrait of friendship.

Princess Angelina

Princess Angelina

Princess Tinsels baby daughter
Has grown up quite a bit
And my, oh, my, she’s beautiful
Oh, she has all of it
A heart of gold, a lovely form
And she’s so full of bliss
Her name is Angelina
So very sweet she is.

She has a way with animals
That seems at times like magic
She loves all people, all of them
And when their days are tragic
She’ll give them the milk of kindness
She has the healing touch
And even gnomes and bitter demons
They all love her so much.

Angelina, she is loved
By all who hear her name
Folk they come from miles around
To see this girl of fame
One day she will be their queen
And it is plain to see
That when she takes that station on
A wondrous Queen she’ll be.

My Beautiful

She came in my life one year ago
Her eyelashes was long, so perfect, I know
She was the most Beautiful thing, I ever seen
And god had blessed her just for me

My first little girl, came home with me
She was smart, I could already see
She started to smile at everything
Her eyes would glow, and boy could she put on a show

Her personality was just like mine
And she would let me sleep at night,:)
Everyone in house really loved her
And she loved to play with her two older brothers

She is my new edition, and My Beautiful
                                            My Beautiful Little Girl

Insecurity is a terrible thing. Insecurity kills. It’s like a dark and terrifying serial killer that never gets caught. It goes on and on. There are some people who in a million years, you would never guess are insecure. Most of the time they’re the most insecure ones, they’re just so used to it that they’re the best ones at hiding it. They go to school every day with a fake smile on their face, hoping that no one will see the scars on their wrists because they just know that none of the other kids will understand why they’re there. The use bracelets to hide them or wear long sleeve shirts everyday. Even on the hottest days of the year when they could most likely over heat and faint. All of that doesn’t matter to them. Some people are insecure because of their weight. But the mirror sees one thing and a persons heart can see different. A lot of the time people are just un happy with their body. Sometimes it could be because of their skin colour or maybe the way their teeth are or maybe even the way they dress because their family can’t afford the best clothes for them. The possibilities could be endless. The girl you called fat? She has an eating disorder. The boy you called gay the other day? He lost all of his self confidence and now he wont even get out of bed and go to school because he’s scared someone will make fun of him again for liking the same sex. A lot of people don’t realize that words can really hurt someone. Those are the words that kill. I honestly feel really sorry for all of the teenagers that commit suicide and don’t get noticed because they weren’t 'The cool one’ or ‘The pretty one. But when they’re actually gone everyone seems to start caring. Funny isn’t it? They’ll say things like ‘She was so beautiful, I wish I could’ve done something to help.’. When the funny thing is, they were the reason why. They were the reason why that person went home every night and self harmed or skipped a meal that day. You say you cared? Yeah, of course you said that. I see exactly what you’re doing. You said that just to make you look like the good guy. You put on a pity party for that person, go to their funeral, lied to their family, but you’re doing this all just for you. Many people see this everyday. I can’t relate personally but trust me it happens. So I want you to think the next time you say something bad about someone. I want you to think the next time you criticize someone. Think about how bad that person might take to heart what you said. Think about someone other than yourself for once. Just picture un your head the way the blood drips onto the ground as they’re cutting. That blood is filled with your words of hate. Let that sink in.

What People Were and What People Are

People were
Many things.
Strange or not

People were
Different and
Odd and fun.

People were
Monsters but…
That’s not all

People were
And still are
Strange and odd.

People are
People. For
life is life.

Yet not.
Not is lies.
Truth seeps from

Every mouth
Lies, lies, lies
Move, move, move

But somehow
Lies prevail.
Lies are life.

Lies are death.
Lies are homes.
Lies are pain.

Lies are truth.
Yet somehow.
Truth prevails.

Truth is life.
Truth is death.
Truth is home.

Truth is pain.
Truth is lie.
Truth is that.

Lies will die.
Lies will cease.

Truth will live.
Truth will be.

Lisa Maree

Dedicated to my darling daughter. Lisa Maree, the kindest girl in the world

Lisa Maree

Lisa Maree, you baffle me
You just don’t seem to care
You throw your money all around
And people who won’t share
Will try to take you for a ride
And you can’t always see
What some folk try to do to you
You’ve too much trust in thee.

Lisa Maree, it’s plain to see
That you’re a special girl
Though sometimes you go off on one
And mind goes in a whirl
Your heart is gold, pure solid gold
You’re as soft as heated honey
You have a sense of humor too
You even think 'you’re' funny.

Some might find you hard to take
These fickle kinds of folk
Will run you down for being you
And treat you like a joke
But fickle folk don’t mean a thing
You’re far above the rest
When you are helping someone out
That’s when you’re at your best.

Your Mother

Your mother is a button,
she holds everything together
Whenever you need her,
she offers her shoulder
Your mother is but an angel,
who flies across your sky,
you always ask why
Your mother gets no sleep,
you've seen her weep,
from time to time
She is a special woman,
Your mother is planted in your heart,
the same way a flower is planted,
in the soil
She is the glue that sticks everyone together
After a rainy day,
Your mother is the rainbow across the sky,
everyone is amazed by her beauty,
She comes by surprise,
after you let out a cry
Your mother is a map,
She points you in the right direction,
but leaves you to figure the rest out
The way she looks at you,
compares to no one else
Your mother is a sandwhich,
She fills you with joy,
she feeds your hunger for love,
Your mother will always be a sidewalk,
the safe path,
She is the only pathway,
you can rely on

letter to Eden

My deplorable emotional collapse.

Lucky for me, she happened to be in her many hour siestas!

My dear sister amelie came over (previously arranged to pick up some rocks that z mama rolled in a pile) and upon opening the front door all internal hell broke loose!

Utter torturous sadness tore thru every fiber of my being - hence a logical explanation conclusion per the abdominal distress that thankfully diminished.

Aside from helplessness as of crumpling like a heap of cards, an extreme fright gripped me at the thought of yourself and shana returning to ramshackle mishmash.

Early today, she many hours sweeping (what her hands formerly hurled from the upstairs bedroom or glass and/or plastic containers blithely tossed on the kitchen floor) with some improvement.

Though, i might need to spend later today (Wednesday) gutting the refrigerator and discarding any potential alien life forms.

A prediction that a. you and shana will be quite sad leaving the tranquil home of the dunning family and b. stepping back into a place where disorder and entropy feast.

Please try to express sentiments per how you feel toward me! Such emotion might well be, but not necessarily limited to (just guessing) -- > anger, grief, hatred, loathing, rage.

Despite your impression or reaction toward and/or against me, i do value you more than any precious gem!

Matthew can honestly claim that "mother" acts considerably more pleasant to me. She politely greets me with what her "GOOD MORNING MISTER HARRIS"!

This message blurted soon after she espies me shuffling to the bathroom tending to that human toy let trees.

This and other of her cheery inquiries for attention (talk, contra dance, back rub...) find me practically catatonic at such ordinary desires.

Years on end never er or rarely found me to experience this personable facet, yet...SHE WANTS NOTHING TO DO WITH OCTAVIA LAMB NOR GAYLE BAIR!

As (possibly) mentioned in the previous email, i too shared similar antipathy, hostility, offer dollops of voluble vulgarity!

At some juncture in the recent past, a strong objection against reacting in that manner (no matter the three musketeers - as referred to by thee senora and chief television watcher), spoke to this papa in crudely fierce, immeasurably lambasting tone.

Matter of fact, i emailed Octavia to inform her of the legal documents en-route to her home in gap, pennsylvania and reiterated appreciation for our (albeit unwelcome and long overdo) stay at blank greentree lane.

No intent to augment change in the counterpart. We seem to be diverging in any former opinions.

Now, (meaning within the recent present)
numbness freezes and seems to cease up desire to be alive
sometimes i do not care if the grim reaper takes me for an eternal drive
aware that you and shana would be well tended in that busy bee hive
comprising cheerfulness, delight, happiness, liveliness, joy, kindness mirth,
et cetera where amity, comity, energy...does strive
among lovely offspring of shari and Andy, both troopers against challenges
as if...he married a heavenly wive.

Shari and amelie encouraged me to express churning agitation within me
which best be conveyed now rather than per your return,
where communication will be done as ease a lee.

Omg! The hour fast approaches four-ante meridian. Gawd cooks the time away. The task to organize the refrigerator hardly seems like a choice! You may not even notice since, (though the kitchen floor swept) aversion to enter the eatery might deter courage.

Your risk to board a plane considerably less than the hazards that lurk in said innocent locale.

Take care my dear.

 Is her name,
getting into everything,
is her game,
she's as bright,
as sunshine,
and as fresh,
as new fallen snow,
and I love to watch her,
as she grows,
her curiosity beats it all,
even though,
she's 3 feet tall,
her blue eyes sparkle,
when she's done something wrong,
and you can never be mad at her,
all that long,
her beautiful smile,
will make you weak,
even when,
she's being a sneak,
you can't help but love,
that sweet little girl,
with straw colored hair,
and bouncing curls.

Beautiful Children

Singing around in love;
Smiles built from the ground.
Holding hands in the dance;
Laughing with brothers and sisters,
All in His Glorious Name.
Throughout His perfectly sculpted land:
Look around because this is it;
Look around because this is love;
Look around and know, understand, comprehend,
Rejoice because you are perfect;
You are God's beautiful children!

I said girl you don't need to go,
Because baby I want you to stay,
'Til the sun rise,
'Til the end of the night,

I said baby I'm feelin you,
And I'm fallin in love with you,
Which is somethin I never thought I would do,
But, I did today,
So girl, Why don't you stay,

Why don't you stay, 4x
'Til the sun rise,
'Til the end of the night,

She said baby I have to leave,
I said girl I don't want you to leave,
My darling please stay with me,
'Til the night end,
Then come back again,

Because baby we have a chance,
For us to have a great romance,
So, girl take my hand and dance,
You don't have to go,
Baby don't go,
Chorus: 3x

'Til the sun rise,
'Til the end of the night,

As I gazed into the sky in the middle of the night, to my surprise I saw an object coming towards me from the moon.
From an object it turned into a fascinating creature, from a fascinating creature it became an indescribable paragon of beauty.

She was so seductive and attractive. I could not resist her. Her love is like an ocean that has o end.
She is like an angel that has no spot or wrinkle.
Her hair is like the expensive wool of Lebanon.
Her lips, so smooth and attractive
Her tongue, instinctively seductive and ravishing

To my surprise and amazement, she turned her back at me methodically and rhythmically.
She mysteriously shook her waist and I saw the most well carved art work of the Creator.

I saw her well-constructed behind invitingly stirring at me.
How could I resist such one in a lifetime offer?
Then turning directly towards me, I saw the most tempting and sensuous breasts in the whole universe.

Both breasts danced like a football in the field of play.
Now, I am trapped. No way out. Who will rescue me from this illusion. Illusion? No, I would rather call it fantasy. But no, it became a reality that I cannot but face.

Oh! Queen of the night you are just a relic of pleasurable island of paradise and unending love.
Please take me on a ride to your world of Eldorado.
Queen of the night
You are my queen of the night.

The Broken Girl-not me

Is my life not tortured enough for you to see?
I am broken as can be.
My heart is torn.
My tears stain these perfect floors.
Why are singing with glee?
Why do you not care about my every plea?
I am trapped in your arms.
I am the hopeless moth.
How did you pick me?
What is it that you see?
A girl untouched by life?
A flower blooming in the desert?
I have said goodbye to my loving integrity.
You took that from me through R-A-P-E.

Never Take Hate Outside

When you're hurt inside,
And there's no where to hide,
And there's no one on your side,
And it's killing your pride,
Never take hate outside,

When your heart is chocking,
The heavy words never spoken,
The things that hurt you inside,
When love has died,
Never take hate outside,

When your heart is gone,
From being alone,
And it beats a solemn tone,

When you're cold inside,
It's only a short ride,
Never take hate outside

The Reality of a Dream

I have felt the bliss, of a daughter’s kiss,
and realize what heaven must seem.
For in all my life, thru happiness and strife,
my daughter’s laughter consumes my dreams.

I have sailed afar, and traveled the stars,
in search of a more beautiful feeling.
I’ve flown by air, for this beautiful love affair,
that sends my heart and soul a reeling.

I’ve rode the train, in search of a domain,
where love feels as brilliant as this.
I’ve swam the ocean, with perfect motion,
yet always amiss to finding this bliss.

I’ve treaded the bush, in Australia I push,
demanding they show me the path to glory,
but I leave empty handed, though I’ve demanded,
a beautiful ending to this tormenting story.

I’ve lived my life, searching for who I am,
and always do I come up short.
I fret and I ponder, for a love that is fonder,
than this love in my dreams I distort.

Still I fail, to no avail, to find a reality as grand,
than the laughter I hear, in this dream I command.
I ‘ve walked life’s path, in search of a resolution,
mindless to an ultimate desperate conclusion.
For a dream is an illusion, a visionary infusion,
a poignant resolution to all confusion – and a dream is just that….a dream.

Her Final Words

"No." She whispered before drowning into her sorrows.
Her life had been a simple happy one.
There were no pains and no troubles.
Life was life and people were people.
Life was simple.
and life was all about tomorrows.
Life didn't know about sorrows.
Her sorrows.
Those same sorrows that she drowned in never existed.
They were never there, but where?
First to be sad in the naive town of joy.
Sorrow became contagious and what was known as happiness no longer was there.
It was non-exististent.
A meager thought
and a blessed memory.
She tried and tried.
She failed and failed.
Life was no longer hers.
For Pain was her only possession.
Her curse.
She lived and she died.
Yet, her legacy was passed on.
Never was it gone.
"No." She whispered before drowning in her sorrows,
"Save them."

Life is love. It’s beautiful like a child’s birth pain hurts, life has no price tag for a

woman’s worth, this is why a mother is the most loved being on this planet Earth,

you’re the passageway into this world, what a gift from Allah, a baby boy or a baby

girl, for you to groom, nurture and teach, how to walk, how to speak, you’ve watched

me grow, mistakes and all, life is love, it’s beautiful and dutiful, like you are to me. So

smile mom, for today and forever, I want you happy.

The choices we make

Guess what? Another true story,
About a beautiful dame called Corrie.
Her allurement enraptured all men folk,
I did say this was a true story and not a joke?

Her tight dress and peachy ass, men would cry and plea,
Even blind Jim stopped, pulled down his glasses, willing himself to see.
When she walked the clock would stop to hear the tick tock of her heels,
Believe me this woman was dripping with sex appeal.

Every morning Corrie went into town to get her sick father’s pills,
She knew when she got them; one of the men would offer to pay the bills.
Now there was an evil merchant filthy rich had lent her father money,
It was time for him to pay up or he would take this honey (the daughter).

But to be a sport he conjured up a devious deal,
When he proposed the deal, it made her father feel more ill.
The merchant said “I have a bag and will put two stones in it.”
One white, the other black and here is the deal if you may permit?

“If your beautiful daughter picks the white stone,”
“You debt will be cancelled and you can take her home.”
“If it’s the black, I will cancel what you owe me,”
“But your daughter will be my bride you see.”

The ill father protested at first then gave in,
As they stood in town her father begged her to win.
Now while every man was looking at the divine girl,
She, the only one saw the merchant place two black stones, and so the bag he did fill.

She shook with horror as she picked a stone, thinking as she frowned
Then suddenly dropped the stone on the ground
The merchant raged “Now how are we to know which stone you took out?”
“Look in the bag and the one left will tell you what I chose” she did shout.

Everyone focused on the bag to see if she’d wed him or not,
The black one his hand reaches in and got.
Her father’s eyes lit up and he screamed with delight
His debt cancelled and she wouldn’t marry this merchant two foot in height.

She remains the tester of men’s hearts today,
They are mesmerised by her ass and they way she make it sway.

For Love of Liliana

On the 30th of June you entered this world,
so cute and content my beautiful girl.
I have never seen such a proud father,
kissing your hands and feeling your feet.
Little blue eyes so hard to forget
wrapped in a pink shawl, you were my princess.
Your brothers smile when he first met you.
He stroked your cheek and called your name.
But, it was too late my tiny princess.
The angels couldn't wait any longer.
On the 30th of June you left this world,
so peaceful and pale my beautiful girl:Liliana

Gerber Baby 2

For the Gerber Baby Contest

I knew God loved me on the day
He entrusted me with my daughters’ soul
The most important job to ever come my way
The greatest gift I would ever behold

Lost in thought, I’m mesmerised by the image before me
Laura is my babe, so precious
A moment frozen in time, Laura was three
Her giggles brought joy…so infectious

A face…round, smooth, creamy complexion
Big brown almond shaped eyes with power to beguile
A nose so pert, so cute, utter perfection
Rosy red lips always upturned in a smile

Long blonde hair, curls in abundance
Reminiscent of Rumpelstiltskin’s spun gold thread
My very own Angel gives my life sustenance
Intertwined delicately, the gold flecks spread

This photo stirs up love, so strong, so pure
A joyous heart, a joyous mind, my heart overflowing
The love of a mother and child, there is no truer
And now the touch and the embrace of my daughter I’m craving.

My name is Juanita and I used a photo of my gorgeous (once) baby girl, when she was around 3-4 (now 17). Her perfect featured face and long blonde curly hair that framed her angelic of my favourite pics.

Mom looked at me in the rearview mirror
"You know, you're a pretty girl," she said
And I smiled and turned my head
Out the window
"Sometimes I think so."

To enjoy in the delight
   Of trying new tastes
While having fun....
   Oh, My! What a sight!

To play in tops & shorts,
No matter if there's shoes or not....
It's the pretty lacey pink dresses
With a bow or a rose
That will stay so delicate!

For "A Little Sweetie"
   Who's just about to arrive
Bound for Lots of Love & Affection....
   It was meant to be
A special place to call your very own!

To hear the laughter
Of catching bubbles in the air
Or blowing them as they pop....
   You will become squeaky clean
Just like a bright new shiny penny!

So nice & warm
   Snuggled in the arms
Of Mommy & Daddy
As she hears a lullaby or story
A little Princess will fall asleep....
That special bond will last forever!

2 days away from the woman of my dreams
It’s taking forever to get here or so it seems
I want to fast forward hurry up and make her mine
I want to see her beautiful eyes filled with sunshine
Her eyes drew me in reminding me of the deep blue see
When I looked deeply into them good life I could see
We talked until she fell asleep most nights
But I stuck awake wanting to turn on the lights
So I could see her beauty shining once again
Sometimes I did click the light now and then
I never thought being here in love would ever come true
But now I sit here as proof that it could happen to you
Her mother told me once she wanted her daughter to know love that was dear
Well I promised her that love had lied right here
That I would take care of her daughter and her I would never try to replace
I was not certain of the look on her mother’s face
But I Hope it was just worry in form of a knot
Because I promise to never break her daughter’s heart
Instead I will be the rock in which she can always lean on for support
I will utilize every lesson in love, I was ever taught
Not sure how to say it but thank you for this beautiful creation
She is the most beautiful woman of the entire nation
My princess my queen whatever she prefers
As long as she is mine and I am hers

That's Where The Lord Lives

I walk outside to see all that I can see.
Over there is our house, our home,
In the distance, you can see.
And that place of hallowed happiness
Forever has been our home
And forever will be so evermore.
That house is small but raised us tall,
From the perfect parents who loved us so
To the perfect sister for which every man would want.
The house built us all up strong.
More than a mere building,
It is a place to love and be loved,
A place that hands you hope that you give right back,
And a place of everlasting faith.
This home is where my parents taught me about God
And opened me up to Jesus.
They opened the eyes of the blind for all to see,
And the blind included me.
They taught me to be the best I can be;
The best things in life are free.
They have taught us so well,
And they all have saved my soul.
Even if I am not there now,
I carry Him with me.
I carry them with me.
I carry Their values and Their teachings with me.
In this house, this home,
We reside.
We cannot forget this.
This is where my Mother lives.
This is where my Father lives.
This is where my Sister lives.
This is where We live,
In this loving, caring, beautiful home
They made just for us.
We cannot forget this either.
This is where it all began.
This is where the hunger and thirst was created;
This is where we are fulfilled.
We cannot, we must not forget this:
This is where God lives.
This is where Jesus lives.
This is where The Lord lives;
The Father and The Almighty.
This is where We live;
This is where We reside.
We must not forget this.
We must not forget this:
What a beautiful and perfect life this is.

First borne kin of me loin, why just like yesterday
Unbeknownst to this then unpracticed dada how tempus fugit
Will in a brief flash (like time lapse photography) steal a way
Thine eldest lass swaddled, pampered and attended with oye vay
Sans another soiled diaper to change, retrieve futile dropped binky,
Or sundry other basic need to get abreast per comfort to stay
E’en the simple pleasure per warmth from winter solar ray
Which constancy of nurturance seemed to last as long as infinity
a mental calculation said progeny tossed aside like…child’s play
Yet this papa pined for harmonic, idyllic and pacific month o May
When picture perfect weather invited me baby daughter to explore or lay
Upon the fresh mown hay
Innocent august bliss stashed in her memory bank molded like clay
Whereby this papa tried to keep danger at bay
But tis rash to seal hermetically and try to keep jarring reality away

Until she sped thru fifteen years on this earthen tarmac
Beautiful dame with an attractive physique and mind that takes up slack
From strains imposed from this fractious abode, where I rack
My noggin per our precarious, perilous perch whence we must pack
A hardship no doubt internalized by this sweet babe smarts she aint lack
In tandem to her maturation and self reliance emotional light years
Ahead of this sire, she addresses as “sir”, who emotes with flack
At utter chaos here and thus realizes internal misery will take shape
When she and the younger punim come back

Yet, her absence felt though she oft spent time alone
In the former master bedroom, now wishing for a clone
Of thine delightful youth and marvel whence
Sixteen years ago from the womb she entered this World Wide Web
While “mother – abby” did push and groan
Whereby tears streamed down me cheeks at miracle biology did hone
Over the course of nine months gestation, and now…merely on loan
When she becomes of age to take flight, though this father will moan
But tis fitting and proper offspring doth not become a rolling stone
Like me, he who contributed to this precious gift no gem canst a tone
If…bereft of this sweet progeny
For this poet would cease to enjoy life and enter the twilight zone!

Angel lullaby's

Dimonds are not beauty. Beauty is people and things unknown. Things unknown that swirl around in a young child's mind and happiness amounts to a flower crown made for a small girl with the soul of a faire. Happiness that comes from the pure joy of looking in your mothers deep brown eyes and getting warm fuzzies . Joy that spills out into a smile when a wise woman tells her that the little floating fuzzies in the air are baby angels and that when it thunders it's just there mom singing them an angel sized lullaby a lullaby that makes her big blue eyes sparkle....But the wind changes and the sparkling in her big blue eyes fade and the flower crown withers and dies and the baby angels turn into dust and unknown things still bring joy. But so do things that bring trouble and those big brown eyes sometimes betray her and the thunder is just thunder and baby Angels and days of simple joy vanish ...But if she waits just for the right moment the clowds will gather and the sparkle returns to her big blue eyes and the wounderful liquid leaks out of the sky! spinning and spinning her hair dripping. She squeezes the big blue eyes shut and suddenly the baby angels return To the sky and the Flower crown gets a long drink of water and blooms once again and and the angel lullaby returns to the air and rings in her ears and those deep brown eyes watch her spinning and remember why they fell in love with her and
finally she is home !!

she now knows love
love, not a lifeless thing
that she used to talk about those days
while carrying a backpack
full of books and binders

a mustang she wanted to drive
symbol of success and speed
a perfect blend with boom
and the ooze of black-gold

but today for her
only one thing that matters
living with a man
sharing his failure
to graduate from a high school

that teaches not techniques
to survive that stoppage
of an upward movement
and a free flow of more
her achievement
she carries with care
as if holding the first university degree
that will open the greater door
to a doctorate
to walk around with a prefix
before her name

now she smiles, inside
every time she feels that kick
a little stretching
in that cozy cave
intricately decorated convocation hall
calling him, her baby
while feeling that wall, outside

her boy will soon graduate
to enjoy her love
her success, her own graduation
to that new title – Mum

sing me a lullaby

Sing me a soft lullaby
to hush away my fears
Pull your arms around me
Wipe away my salty tears
Sing to me of muddy shoes
And someone asking for a dime
Tell me who rips your heart out
And handles it with care
Sing to me of angels and a whisper of a prayer
sing to me a lullaby
That ill sing my unborn child
Hold me tight and brush my hair
Away to see my smile
Sing me into slumber
Where happiness exists
Sing me a soft lullaby
And ill finally get some rest

To My Daughter-In-Law,Aimee-Leigh.

                        To My Daughter-in-Law,Aimee-Leigh.

What a beautiful name for a wonderful girl,
Who sets my heart in a whirl;
As pretty as a picture,a heart so big and true,
With a love so pure and perfect, sent out to me and you.
Contrite and sweet,proud and strong,
A melody,to a beautiful song;
Your always there, to show your love,
Just like an angel, sent from above.
It does my heart such pleasure,
Your ways I truely treasure;
As in this life, you find your way,
And also help others, along the way.
God saw my heart,He knew my need,
For the daughter-in-law,that I did plead;
I thank Him for each day,for your place in my life,
And,that my son,found a beautiful wife.
Your welcomed,in this family of mine,
Forever and always,till the end of time;
Thankyou so much, for your love and your care,
And for being my daughter,so true and so fair.
I'm priveledged to know you,as a daughter and a friend,
And to know,you are some-one,on whom I can depend;
God bless you today,and forever more;
And,know that I love you,of that you can be sure.

At the Pawnshop

I walk in, It almost feels cold
Letting go to all the unknown
That ring you got me a promise we didn’t keep
a frame of a picture of us
You didn’t stay out long enough for me to need
The key to the house
That we couldn’t afford to love
And here are my mom tears that I couldn’t afford to give up
Then last are the broken promise that were made to keep
I lost a friend, a dad, a house, and maybe me
But you can have it all whatever you need
I’m looking for something that was taken from us
Please pawnshop I’m begging it’s a must
He is ours for us to keep…tell God he belongs to me
He’s too young to be up there
Please …just tell me if you find him anywhere

In dedication of ended relationship, a father who is always in jail, a family home we lost and lastly my 17-year cousin who was take from us to soon

 A glimpse into your eyes
I see a reflection of myself
Innocence starring back I can't help but kiss
 As one tear falls
 My beautiful beauty
 Soft & sweet
My heart is overwhelmed & heavy
Love is blooming, oozing from every pore
 No words
 Just purely humbled & blessed
I could be given such a precious gift.
 ? my girl xx
While I was prepearing diner last night, my daughter came up to me & asked if I would like some help, as I looked at her tears welled up as I saw a reflection of myself in her amazing beautiful eyes, this poem was the result of how I felt.

Take comfort

In the loneliness of darkness
In the backlash of cruel words
My mind seeks your comfort
As the pages in the fire curl
Ink bleeds sharply
Into my paper skin
Lines of your etchings and your poems
Embedded deep within
From my lips seep a whisper
In my dreams I call your name
Tears of my rain
Drip down your window pane
Shattered mirrors reflect your eyes
Like a window through time
The first day you swore you loved me
The day you got tangled in your lies
Still in this frozen moment
I remember a song we once sang
Our lips met in softness
Becoming morphine to our pain
Our lullaby I softly sing
Listening to the mirage of a piano
Now like silk I lay draped
My heart taking comfort
In the memories that we made

start of a new age reality of beauty,
peek of cuteness.
rough surprise of coming out,
spontaneous with no doubt.
art with no limit,
joy with no toying.
planting security,
reaping serendipity.
enjoying carefree innocence;
with no pressures of risks,
open to new things,
feeling of genuine experiences.
going out of the way of the norm,
beauty yet not known.
untold sharing of this blessing;
some left wanting,
some left with no content,
the reality of new changes,
freedom of impressing others.
going beyond what you were meant to be,
overlooking others,
just to sprout new wings......!!!

"Daddy look at all the sandcastles"
"Aren't they all so grand?"
"Who could have known a king and his throne,
Could simply be made out of sand"

"Look at the beautiful towers"
"I wonder if a princess lives there"
"I'll bet she is kind, they're so hard to find,
With beautiful long flowing hair"

My daughter loved to go to the beach
She loved the sandcastles the best
But she didn't know her heart was too slow
And soon they would open her chest

It's funny sometimes how time can fly
It only seems like yesterday
With some complication during her operation
My daughter has passed away

I still go to the beach from time to time
To see the sandcastles on display
I still close my eyes and say my goodbyes
Each time I hear her say

"Daddy look at all the sandcastles"
"Aren't they all so grand?"
"Who could have known a king and his throne,
Could simply be made out of sand"

Michaela Payne

How does one pick a single soul in a field of Flowers?
God would find it rather hard with all of his powers

There are so many beautiful people as we all know
I’m finding it rather impossible to pick a single soul

Even as I pen this one is coming clearly to my mind
Michaela is a very rare gift that is impossible to find

She is like a spiritual daughter that blesses my heart
She has been a very special friend right from the start

Her and my daughter Michaela share the same name
I have chosen my very dear friend, Miss Michaela Payne

When we first met on the site each of us was fairly new
She was the essence of the word “pure” through and through

Michaela is so pure of heart and she is so pure of soul
Beaming with a beautiful innocence so few ever know

It was really hard at first because these words are true
I thought, “Someone like her doesn’t need to know you”

Sometimes in life the Lord brings together two souls
As they each help each other understand their goals

Through her friendship I was eventually able to see
That there was still some good left up inside of me

I truly doubt that Michaela could ever begin to know
Beautiful blessing she has been up inside of my soul

She knows that if ever she needs it I have a real good ear
As I know my knowledge is something that she holds dear

She knows what ever the subject I can offer sound advice
For I haven’t just seen it all, I have seen most of it twice

Never know how good it feels for a tired old convict like me
To help someone as beautifully innocent as a person can be

I reckon that leaves this old man with just one last thing to say
I hope my Michaela grows to be just like her some beautiful day

This Poem is written for Christie's contest and i must
say I found it so very hard to choose just one person
to write about because I have truly been blessed by
many wonderful friends on this site. God Bless you all

An Inspiration to Each Other

My daughter posed to me a curious question.
She asked, “Dad, where do you get your inspiration,
To get up each morning before the rising sun,
And put your garbage collector’s clothes back on?

I know you told me about your years in the state prison,
And how that restricts the opportunities that you are given;
But there is not one single time that I can remember
You missing a day since I was born on the tenth of December.

And I would really like to know just how do you do it
Without ever complaining or threatening to quit?”
So, I looked at my daughter in her beautiful blue eyes,
And I tried to explain to her my reasons and give her my whys.

“Well, you see, eighteen years ago this beautiful baby girl,
By your dearly departed mother, was brought into my world;
And for the first time in my life, I had a reason to live;
So to this jewel I was granted, a little bit I could give.

With every garbage can I lift and empty into my truck,
I thank God for my job and giving me this luck.
So I give you this answer, and swear that it’s true,
All the inspiration I need, I get straight from you."

Now I sit with other parents in a late May celebration;
As my daughter and her classmates enjoy graduation.
And I watch with pride as she starts giving her speech;
As first in her class, my daughter did reach.

She ends her speech saying, “People ask me about my persistent study habit,
Well, my inspiration is my father, who taught me never to quit.”
Even with her scholarships, there are still expenses to pay,
So the next morning at 4:00 I start another work day.

Blessing from Heaven on a Bittersweet day

The dress is zipped, the veil is in
One last touch up and dry my tears
Another bobby pin
I need you here to calm my fears

But here I stand feeling all alone
Looking up at heaven
Wishing I could bring you home
Waiting for the clock to strike seven

Here comes grandpa to take you place
He happily stands by my side
But I know he sees the hurt on my face
He tells me I’m such a beautiful bride

What a bitter sweet day
Now I’m ready to go
I take a moment and pray
Just to say “Hello”

Now down the aisle I walk
I see Joel’s face
Walking into wedlock
I feel such a warming embrace

Now I know though I didn’t that day
You weren’t missing a thing
That I’m confident enough to say
I believe this was a heaven sent blessing

For when I was looking later
In one certain photo
There is was, it couldn’t be clearer
A cross with such a beautiful glow

Then I knew I wasn’t alone
My prayer had been answered
And you came back home

Hot Babe

I am not a hot babe,
I'm a hot babes mum.
I was a hot babe once
but now those days are gone.
I am not a hot babe,
now I am just hot,
hot flushes and dizzy spells,
me,I have the lot.
My daughter looks like me,
is what they all say,
she says that I'm no minger,
so everything's okay.
I'm glad that I'm not ugly,
I'm just not in my prime,
I've had my share of wolf whistles,
now it's my daughters time.
She really is a stunner,
she stands out in a crowd.
I love my beautiful daughter,
of whom I'm truly proud.

The Deception Of Perception

You are late to every event,
in the mirror you stare,
minutes quickly turn into hours,
but you don't seem to care,
your boyfriend thinks your beautiful,
you are daddy's angel too,
why you are constantly so down on yourself,
they obviously don't have a clue,
your lover tries to cheer you up,
there goes a brand new ring, new clothes, new shoes, even a bit of bling,
what he doesn't get is material objects don't mean a thing,
you are really hurt on the inside that you don't look like women in magazines,
they are so perfect in appearance,
their hair falls just right,
all the guys love them around the world so you will never meet their criteria right?
One thing that you can't see in a magazine model is this thing called truth,
they are dressed up like politicians to make them look like they have it all together,
they try to pretend like they can't hear or see the truth,
Like Helen Keller,
Every night they close their eyes they wish they could be normal like you,
have kids, a husband, a house and even eat regular foods too,
so don't ever doubt who you are because magazines are not real,
but you are living in reality and I wanted you to know Perception kills...

It was a bright sunny day, though mixed with scattered sprinkles of snow,
The Lord had a special soul yet to be given a name this November morning and so…………..
Looking down upon his mother earth,
A young man named George and a young woman named Rose
A beautiful day, a fresh new birth,
Unto these lovers he choose.

(So chipping off a piece of the moon and the sun
The soul of a poet was born and they named him, Don Juan.)

Curly hair and a beautiful smile,
Never before a more handsome child.
Little did they know, the looks and the name,
Would be his ticket to the Player Games.

So as time went on there was formed the perfect player,
Old school pimp, poet, lover, fighter, and heartless woman slayer.
The looks, the name, pushed him on this path from the start,
No one, but Don Juan, knew that none of this was truly in his heart.

So day in, day out, up, down and around about the play,
Don Juan went on his way-a different woman every day.
Wondering just what was really the big deal?
Was this admirable life of his times just a cover?
Would he ever find true love from a real true lover?

Fast cars, money, guns and drugs,
Young cats and old alike praised him as the players’ thug.
Although he was very good at all he tried to do
This meant he was very good at being very bad, too!

After several narrow escapes from the law,
And gruesome murders he can’t admit he ever saw
He decided this thug life, this lonely player’s role
Was only good for a short life.
The road to death of a Poets soul.

All the while all he wanted – All he would ever yearn
Was one true love and family……..

(But alas, this soul had a lot to learn).

With truth and faith came much heartache,
Wine and beers flushed with rivers of tears,
Of failed love affairs, year after years.
Still masking the pain with his smile and his name,
Though deep inside his tears poured like crying rain.

There were false threats of a son then came his beautiful little daughter
By an alcoholic woman who couldn’t give her daughter a quarter
Nor get out the bed to give her a drink of water!

He stuck by his daughter from the second she was born
She has his last name and a similar first name of, Dawn.
Three years passed with no sign of the mother-his ex-lover,
Till one day she poked her jealous head
From under her alcohol vomit stained covers.

My heart my world my baby girl
From the first time I held you in my arms and

Forever-Part 1

Out on the beach with an amazing guy. The sun's so pretty, the sun's so bright. We're walking and talking about all our good times, against the world, hand in hand. Smiling and walking on the beautiful LA sand. We sit on a bolder and watch the sun set. It's an amazing day, one I will never forget. You slip your arm around me as we as we look at the beautiful sea. "I love you," I say as we feel the cool evening breeze. "I love you too," you say and pull out a small black box. I look at you, smile, and my heart stops. You open the box to reveal a beautiful ring. "Will you marry me?" you ask as my eyes fill with tears and my heart starts to sing. My smile gets wider as I say "yes". You pull me close to your chest. I gently kiss you as a tear rolls down my cheek. You brush it away and smile at me. "I love you," I say one more time. "I love you to baby," you say as you smile, "now your deffinitly all mine."

Today's the day, the day that starts the rest of our life. The day you become my husband, the day I become your wife. The last time I saw you was last night. But I woke up to a beautiful sight. A bouque of beautiful red roses lie on your pillow with a note on top. "I love you," it says, "and I can't wait to see you." I smile and whisper "I love you too." I take a shower and walk down to the beach to see how much is done. I step onto the hot sand and I feel the hot sun. It's almost done so I start to head home. I need to here your voice so I call your phone. "Hey babe," you say, "is everything okay?" I tell you everythings fine, I just need to hear you. I tell you I love you. You tell me you love me too. You say you have to go but you'll see me soon. "Okay, I love you," I say and look at the clock, it's almost noon. "I love you too," you say and the line goes dead. I look in the mirror and put my hands on my head. I smile and start to get ready for tonight. The first night of m new life.

I take a look in the mirror one last time. Just to make sure my beautiful dress is fine. I walk down to the beach and wait by the gate. I fix my veil and look at my friend. "You look amazing," she says and puts some flowers in my hand. "Thanks," I say and smile. I can't wait to walk down the aisle.

A beautiful girl was born
In secret...
On a spring night
Just before dawn
A girl, so fair
A girl, so pretty
Your heart would melt
As she grew
Everything she touched
She loved too
The inner peace
Made people turn and sigh
In the depths of the Castle
She was kept secret
For the mother knew
The humilation and pain too
For the child,
a father was not known
For the mother,
she carried the secret
In her aching heart
On her face, the pain shown
The father, so they say
Handsome and charming
Took her heart
Took her love
Then went away
A girl, so fair
As beautiful as the day
Often wondered
Of the man
Who took her mothers'
heart away
Her mother in despair,
A broken heart
No one could repair
The girl,
such sorrow
Yet everything
She touched
She loved too
A girl, so fair
Accepted with innate grace
the loss
She could bare
Serenity , upon her face
Abeautiful child
Bcame a woman
Eerything she touched
Se loved too
On a spring night
Se must find
Te man who helped bring her ,
in to this world
Eerything she touched
Bcame light
Se sensed he was near...
Smething in the wind showing
Whose ripples she could hear
Her fair hair, blowing
A fair wind came
Warm and sweet
from the South
A Prince to meet
A South Wind Prince confessed
A daughter to love
A girl, so fair
Everything she touched,
was blessed
A tale of love spurned
A mothers' despair
A daughters' love returned
A girl, so fair
Averything she touched
She loved too
With a heart,
Carried in you

Looking through old photo boxes
I happen to trip upon
High School memories of my Mother
Resound off the walls, faded edges
Finger printed memoirs sigh between the creases
Of the emerald green sofa
Laughing, fashionable, full of vitality
Mother to me, was
A friend, a mentor, a lover, to somebody else
Seeing how she had a life, before this family

I felt the pregnant tears start to fall
Each weighing about 6 pounds or so
8 ounces, ten fingers, ten toes
Perfect forms of some sort of therapeutic
Amends for a mistake made years ago
Taking a solitary race down my face
But I never cry
I get this kind of strength from my Mom

How is it that I don’t even know who you are?

Standing in front of the sink
Washing crusty dishes and wiping off crude recollections
On windows, what is really behind,
Those beautiful slanted eyes
I see in those photos?

The All American Dreamer
A photographer
Capturing moments in a single shot
Of insight, imagining her
Tiny frame spending hours in the developing room
Crimson passion running, igniting, illuminating her face
Dripping, re-dipping negatives, cutting and pasting
To make the world just a bit more beautiful
A touch more understanding
An image to make us human

How could she sacrifice everything?

For a bundle now grown and barely appreciating
Her surrender of a perfect dream, such ambition
Why did she accept being pregnant at 18 years old
With a wide open road and an never ending horizon
Car packed, engine on blasting her favorite Madonna song
Instead she turned around and walked toward
Home, with a baby in her stomach, returning her rose colored aviator glasses
For reality tinted ones

Sacrificing one life for another

She turned around to
Work a 9 to 5 job on minimum wage,
She turned around to
come home to
Such an ungrateful child

Mother, Unaccounted for, beautiful soul
Stuns me with radiance, such sweet
Abandon, selflessness,

I want to grow up to be just like her

Julia's Wish

Be patient with me
And give me a chance
I,too, want to join in life's dance

Don't take my silence
As not being "all there"
I am beautiful and real
With so much to share

Be patient with me
I have feelings and dreams
Just like you do
If I asked you to trade places
Would you really want to?

Remember that when you look at me
I need you to see all that I can be
I need you to help me open doors
So that my life can be mine and yours

I'm a beautiful child
Locked in a place
Where I'm forced to express
All my feelings with my face

My face very simply states
"Look - I'm an angel in waiting"
Please don't stop dreaming for me
It would be devastating

Love me and touch me
That makes me real
I need the chance to express
All that I feel

Be patient with me
I want the chance too
To do all of the things
That other children do

My Child

As the day draws to an end,
I begin...
I wait by the phone,
But am I truly alone?
Memories of you come unbiddingly,
And my heart calls out unwittingly.
I loved you before I ever knew you,
One look into your beautiful baby blues,
And my heart came unglued.
Ever since the first time you smiled,
My life has been worthwhile.
You are my angel, my savior, my salvation,
Looking at you gives me such revelation.
You are my compass that always leads me north,
And I could never explain your worth.
My heart breaks everytime...
Tears escape your beautiful eyes.
I want to hear your lilting little laugh again,
And see you impish little grin.
I want to have you in my arms,
And always keep you from harm.
I want to smell your soft scent,
But it is the one I will never forget.
I want to hug you to me and forget everything,
Because of the beauty and pleasure you bring.
You are my soul's guide,
The reason in my chaotic life,
Where my heart resides.
You are my child,
So gentle and mild.
And if you ever get hurt or lost in your mind,
Remember I will love you until time is no longer time.

Forever-Part 2

Pacabells cannon starts to play. The gates open and everyone looks my way. Beautiful black and red roses line the red carpet that leads to you. You look amazing tonight too. I look at my white dress as I step into the setting sun. The light catches the black sparkles and roses on my dress and makes me look beautiful, makes me feel like one. A black rose on this beautiful LA sand. A black rose that belongs to a wonderful man. I slowly walk down the aisle. I walk up to you and I smile. There's black and red roses on the alter and I get up ther. I can smell their sweet fregrance in the warm evening air. The paster starts as I look at you. You say you vouls and I say mine too. You say "I do," and I do the same too. You slip yet another beautiful ring on my finger and kiss me so sweetly. We hold hands and walk back down the beautiful rose lined aisle.

We walk to the peir where there are beautiful lights hung up everywhere. I spin to look at the beauty and you lean in close to me and say, "wait here." You walk up to the DJ and request and smile as a familure tune comes on. I continue to smile and I take your hand. you walk me back out onto the beautiful sand. "Our first dance," you say. My smile gets bigger when I here Amazed starts to play. You pull me closer to you as we start to move from side to side. My nourvousness is hard to hide. "You okay beautiful?" you ask softly as you gently run your hand through my hair. "Yeah baby, I'm fine," I say as I see people gather around and stare. We dance and we sway sweetly and quietly. We kiss and dance slowly. We kiss again and you start to sing along with the song. I've been waiting for this day, I've been waiting so long.

We'r walking on the beach again. hand in hand. you still in your tux, I'm still in my dress. This is our future. Together. Forever. The setting sun catches my ring. It shines brightly. "I love you," I say and we kiss again. "I love you too," you say and gently pick me up.

You carry me back up to the house. You carry me up sairs and lay me on our bed. You lay beside me and gently kiss my head.

We lay there and talk for hours and hours. We smile and laughas our future stretches on in front of us.

By the Water's Edge

I sit by the waters edge
Sitting on the border of a concrete ledge
Surrounded by miss-shaped rocks
Formed by the years of repeated water knocks

I throw a line in the water
As a man sits next to me with his son and daughter
On my line I get a bite
The bait disappears with little fight

I reel back in and rebait the rod
And throw back out for the battle with the cod
Suddenly I see a school of fish
Hoping for every fisherman’s wish
I recast trying to get the biggest and weightiest fish

I see a cormorant tangled up sitting on a pylon
Wrapped around his beak is plastic or nylon
I get up to aid the injured bird
But it fly’s away as soon as my footsteps are heard

I go back to my battle with the underwater beast
Still confident my patience will result in a feast
The clouds come over and it begins to rain
This just exacerbates my frustration and pain

All of my attempts have so far been in vain
But still I sit but wonder if I am still sane
The rain begins to clear
Perhaps now the fish will appear
I can see a rainbow in the distance
My mind wonders despite my resistance

I try to focus on what I want to achieve
I quickly realise that it’s the bounty of fish I want to receive
It’s hard to fish with so many natural attractions
Whilst not unpleasant they are unwanted distractions

I ponder on these thoughts for a time so long
And eventually I conclude this is wrong
I reel back in my line with rod
And forget about the fight with the cod

I am going to enjoy just being here
Such beautiful sites at a near
The glistening of the sun reflecting on the water
The earlier image of a father and his daughter

The ripples and shadows the water creates
The way the bird flew and never hesitates
The way the fish refused to be caught
The way the rain and fish together fought

The rain gently dripping off my hat
The way the cormorant on the pylon sat
The way time seems to stand still
The way nature can make a person feel

I get lost in the moment and don’t want to leave
Some of the things I’ve seen I can’t believe
I should come down here without any fishing reasons
How beautiful it would be in the different seasons

I find myself content at the water’s edge
I have never felt so comfortable sitting on a ledge

My Asliea

My Asliea

Though I did not carry you in my womb
Our heart beats are entwined together.
I may never be able to show you how much
Loving you has made my life so much better.

But know that when I look into your big brown eyes
I see myself there, our bond is closer than blood.
We will never need more than that to prove
The strength of the love between us.

You’re my daughter because I feel you inside my heart
You take up such a big and beautiful part of my soul.
And if my life missed your face, the lovely spirit you have
I would not and could never be truly be whole.

You and your Brother taught me how to be a mother.
I have an unconditional love for you I never could have imagined.
Nothing in this world or any other could break us apart.
I would die before leaving you un-consoled or abandoned.

I hope you can take some of my wisdom and lessons with you
And when you’re old I hope you cherish both our shared tears and laughter
Because some of my most treasured memories will always be of you Asliea.
My peaceful, loving, and beautiful first born daughter.

with mother nature beautify in full bloom
as the sun shines across the world so bright

and watching her grew every day
fills her parent life with such pleasure
and every foot steps ,smiles and first words
the special times they will always treasure

Another year has come and passed
It's time to blow the candles and cut the cake
as friends and family sing happy birthday to you
with music ,song and dance they all celebrate

and as the years slowly goes by
you're blessed with peace, joy and harmony.
spreading your happiness where ever you go
a pillar of strength, class and honesty

and you can easily make others smile
and you ask for nothing in returned
with your subdue amazing sense of humor
and all the knowledge of live that your have learn

For Jade

For Jade…

I’d rather die and let you live if the choice of life was mine to give…

I’d rather be chained and you set free once I’m guaranteed your security…

I’d rather give the best of me if it means you’ll see no poverty…

My heart I’d bleed without a blink if indeed it makes you think…of life and love and fearless things…my life without a doubt I’d give.

Free birds in flight I watch them soar… unto new heights they then explore… I wish you all these things and more…freedom, health and to be always adored…My Jade… My love… please endure…

where is heaven

My daughter asked me : daddy where is heaven?
I thought about this very carefully
asking myself the same question.
Then the answer came into my mind
Like a bolt of lightning.

Heaven is god, and god is heaven.
When we commit ourselves to god , body and soul
Then we are in heaven, because heaven is in us.
Yet when we fail to see what is in front of us
And what’s in our hearts, that’s when we are blind.

For god is in our hearts, and heaven is god.
Just look around at all that he has created
Then look into your heart and
see the beauties inside and out.

Why would god create the universe and the world
And not have created a heaven within us.
We are gods most beautiful creation
And he gave us his only begotten son
To show us the way to heaven.

Now many say that heaven is in infinity
and infinity has no beginning and no end.
and hell is here on earth, and some say it’s below the earth.
Now it is hard to believe that god
would make this beautiful earth as hell.
And if it was under the earth, where is the fire and brimstone
When we dig so deep into the earth searching for oil.

Heaven is in our love for god while on this earth
Then we go to his kingdom in his total heart
Where it is infinite.

This is where I see heaven my daughter.
It’s in all of us who believe in god.

A Mother's Love

A Mothers Love

My mothers Love, I feel so strong,
She shows me constantly, we have a special bond.
She hugs, kisses me, sometimes too much.

My mothers Love, I see her tears, I know she is reflecting on the past 12 years,

We play, we go for nature walks, we splash in the clear, cool, refreshing river of the Minnehaha Falls.

We spend hours, gazing up at the clear blue sky, our hearts skip a beat at the sight of a red tailed hawk.

My Mothers Love, is unconditional,
We have each others heart, forever sealed,
Our love for Nature, is truly mutual,
My Mothers Love, she tells me,
Was started the moment I was conceived.

To my Daughter

I nearly lost her in a car accident a couple of years ago, so now she's even more

You are so beautiful -
Your green eyes nestle below dark lashes
as you view the world with youthful vision.

You are so beautiful -
as you light up the room with your entrance
and entrance its occupants with your smile.

You are so beautiful -
deliciously scatty flying in and out of
our home and our hearts with energetic vivacity.

You are so beautiful -
your capacity of embracing opportunity
and success is unsurpassed and touching.

You are so beautiful -
you still get childishly excited by the snow:
your voice aglow as you tell me on the 'phone, 'it snowed!'

You are so beautiful -
even when you annoy me and we shout
I love you more than life itself, for you are mine.

You are so beautiful -
silent tears as I write this, but they are proud,
loving tears, tears because you truly are

My beautiful daughter.

My Daughter

My Daughter
If looking for a love that will last
Don't give your heart away too fast
Before you start to sing that beautiful song
Wait for the right one to come along
My Daughter
You're loves more precious than you know
Don't set yourself up for such a hard blow
Before you start to sing that beautiful song
Wait for the right one to come along
My Daughter
Just when you're not looking you'll see
Come along that special bond and chemistry
Before you start to sing that beautiful song
Wait for the right one to come along
My Daughter
How it pains me to see you hurt
For someone who doesn't see your worth
Before you start to sing that beautiful song
Wait for the right one to come along
My Daughter
I'm so sorry there are no guarantees
Out in the forest amongst all those trees
Before you start to sing that beautiful song
Wait for the right one to come along
My Daughter
Stay strong and let yourself just be free
What gifts you have for the world to see
Before you start to sing that beautiful song
Wait for the right one to come along
My Daughter
When your're hurting and all seems so black
All along I'm behind you and will have your back
But before you start to sing that beautiful song
Wait for the right one to come along

He can't provide what you want

The sorrow in her heart is doubled in mine
If only life were recorded she would see
ALL the damage was done by he
with me as a cushion safegaurding us three

He walks the earth as if it were his
he may pass you daily with no regretts
This is a sad fact and its beyond my grasp
as you and your sister are my now my future and my past

I'll be there forever and a day
but please dont let your mind runaway
The answers you seek the questions you hold
perhaps have no answers or may just leave ur heart cold

You both are smart and beautiful, friendly and lots lots more
Deservant always for acceptance love and happiness
Its up to you to walk through that door
Sadly I have and always will be here to pick his mess up off the floor

I slowly stroll across my City's streets and sidewalks,
to observe the lay of this land;
I with my Victorian garb; a daughter of a very doting Father,
many speak of him as royalty.
I hear the joy of my people's hearts as they are at work, as they
are at play.
I know that this is the city in which they and I would like to stay.
For the name of my city is called Cloverway, with beautiful green
clover, which is the carpet which emerges from the emerald forests.
The houses are unique here, built with the tools of skill by those who
have perceptive eyes and extremely keen minds. I myself live in
my very nice country estate where my vineyards bring forth the richest
of grapes.
I lovingly care for them and call them by name. When these grapes are ripe
they are put into the wine press where they give me their very best.
Then after the rich blend is bottled they are placed into my quite sizable wine
cellar... placed upon the shelves, they await their time, for a very long time until
they sing to me that they are ready.
Divine patience has been sought before anyone partakes of these long awaited spirits.
It is never night here, no darkness in the constant light of my Father's face.
I know that he owns many mansions on more of his lands, galaxies both near and
far; for he is not limited by time, or distance.
For all things are now to Him and all things are near.
But I live here in this place, my own mansion if you will.

Gentle you were, in your smile
Involuntarily shaking limbs, until your
Tiny frame, into my hands, it slipped
Amusing me with gorgeous amusements
Negating in me those moments of meaninglessness
Joyfully, with tiny fingers
Affecting more life into my faltering being
Like the season of spring
Invigorating the shuddering mother earth

Vanished with your birth were
Ills that crippled us for fourteen years
Causing us to sing those songs
That makes God leap and dance!
Overwhelmed by a sudden birth, and
Remembering Tagore, we named you Gitanjali

For Keepsakes

you must of have been a beautiful baby
for when I first became pregnate I didn't
want any children

with a tiny frame and underweight body
I was content with own self just being me
and now the biggest choice had to be dealt with

thru each doctor visit of getting stuck with needles
drinking ungodly fluids to radiate my body
and to be poked and probed by doctors I didn't know

not to mention having swollen feet severe heartburn everyday
hemroids and the throwing up for four months did I really
want to put myself thru this all to be a new mother

I knew when I first saw the ultra sound images
there was no other choice but to keep battling the odds
that were stacked against me

as I talked to you each day in my womb I kept letting
you know that mama would keep you safe from any storm
and there shall never be any doubt of me not wanting you

so my little darling you must have been a beautiful baby
for today I am watching you turn into a beautiful young woman
with a beautiful heart like your mama

Once Upon a Pair of Big Brown Eyes

I gave you all beautiful brown eyes, all in which I could give
I taught you the meaning of love, patience and kindness, and always to forgive
Your beauty, your charisma your humor, that all came deep from within me
So why is it my beautiful brown eyes a special bond between us will never be?

Don't ever let them fool you or indefinitely lead you astray
For this precious gift I've given you, no one can strip away
Remember who you are and what the meaning of life truly is
And remember beautiful brown eyes how our lives have now come to this

You won’t realize it today, tomorrow or perhaps for years come
But what I've given you is life my daughter and that can never be undone
You are and always will be my beautiful brown eyed bundle of joy
But your faithfulness and commitment now simply seems a ploy

I no longer have the energy or the will to try and make you understand
That your life has evolved so quickly and I'm no longer a part of your plan
I tried with all my might to be the best mother that I could be
And even though I made mistakes, your identity cannot be taken from me

For you are and always will be my daughter, no matter what they say
And although you've let me down and hurt me, that's my life each and every day
So what shall happen next, my beautiful brown eyed gift in life?
Will you remember what I gave to you or will you simply take it into strife?

I've given you so much, so much in which you cannot openly see
For your blinders have now rendered you thoughtless of what you're doing to me
I have finally come to the realization that the time has come to let you go
But it seems as though the time went by so quickly, yet I know its time for you

So don't worry about my feelings or emotions, which are now completely array
For you will always be in my thoughts, my prayers and my heart each and every
You've become a woman now, my beautiful gifted brown eyed child
And nothing can erase the precious moments we shared and all times we

There was a beautiful sunbeam shining thru the trees
A beautiful sunbeam that woke up my daughter and me.
The sunbeams woke up the flowers on the ground
The only place this scent could be found.

Living in the city , you only get smoke and smog
And in the mornings you get the fog.
Waking up thou- in all of gods creations
Makes you shiver with anticipation.

The sounds of the birds chirping in the trees
All singing in harmony.
The squirrels searching for food to store
But they had gathered it all up
And there wasn’t any more.

The frogs sitting on the lily pads
With more than enough insects
Keeping them glad.
Then the sunbeam reflected off the flowing brook
Seeing this was all it took.

We jumped up and out of our sleeping bags
We was excited, we was glad.
All year long we waited for this day
To go to the woods, to jump and play.

As we prepared our breakfast
Gods creatures were all coming around
We did not see them, for they made no sounds.
We looked up and they were gathered all around our camp
Watching what we was doing
And their presence was so soothing.

My daughter started throwing bread to all that were around.
And in us, a new friend they had found.
There were squirrels, raccoons, rabbits and a possum or two.
Wondering what we was up to.
Then we looked up into the trees
And there was that magical sunbeam.
It shown its light right where we was camped
The grass is so beautiful when it is damp.

The rays of light playing games on the dew drops
We didn’t want this moment to ever stop.
My daughter said it reminded her of
The fairy tale “ sleeping beauty”
It was the perfect setting - for she is a “cutie”.

After we all had something to eat
We gathered up our backpacks
And left them some treats.
That day we explored all of gods beauties
On the mountain trails.
We knew we’d be back- we would not fail.

This one memory in our minds would forever last
For god had shown us his perfect “cast”.

Forever-Part 3

We get off the plane and smell the lovely air. Hawaii. One of the most beautiful places. I look at you and smile. "This place is beautiful," I say, spinning around. "Yes, it is," you say and pull me close. "I love you," I say. I love you too," you say and kiss me. Hand in hand we walk into the setting sun.

The sun's poking through the shades in our room. "Good morning beautiful," you say when I open my eyes. "Good morning," I say and smile. "I've got a surprise for you," you say and smile. I look at you questionably. "Just get dressed and I'll show you." "Okay."

You take my hand and lead me down to the beach. "I heard you've always wanted to do this," you say and smile. You point to two goals. My face lights up. "Sand soccer," I say happily and look at you. You kiss me and smile, "I figured you'd like it." We walk down to the two goals and we'r e put on a team. We play for hours and hours.

When the game is over, we sit on the sand by the shore. "That was fun," I say and look at you. "Yeah, it was," you say and lean in and kiss me. "I love you," I say as you warp your arms around me. "I love you too," you say and smile. We watch the sun set on the beautiful sea before we head back to our room.

The next day we surf. We surf for hours. "This is great baby," you say as we sit on our boards. "Yeah," I say and smle, "you must really like doing this," I say and brush a srand of hair from your face. "Yes," you say and you lean in and kiss me.

Divine Intervention

Beautiful little girl
Devastatingly beautiful
The birds would start chirping when she walked past
Her mother’s daughter they all said
A mirror image
And suddenly she was shocked by love
5 years old being undressed like a doll
Caressed and bathed so lovingly
Such gentle touches
That no one suspected
Mother found a new piece to her heart
Wedding bells chimed
And a new father was born
5 years old she was…just 5
This beautiful little girl found love in her “new” father’s arms
He held her close, sometimes too close
But no one suspected
She didn’t know this love was pain wearing a mask
She learned that love was…
Shielded from the eyes of her mother
Night visits to her room from her father
Year after year
For 15 years this was the love she knew
She felt invaded, alone and abused
She told her mother
About her new father…the man her mother loved
She didn’t acknowledge, wouldn’t bring herself to see
What the water so clearly replayed in her view
The mother knew, just knew
That her husband would, couldn’t ever
Never…bring pain to his daughter, never
Little girl, what does it feel like to be loved?
It feels warm, and wrong but gentle
Strong hands unclothing you
Caressing your body as if you are a grown woman
With a glorified body to worshipped and pillaged over
Little girl, what does pain feel like?
Closed doors…darkness…my father…naked
Beautiful little girl
Devastatingly beautiful
Pain paraded as love
Molestation masked for discipline
When your daughter cries out
When she cowers in corners
And doesn’t trust the dark
When she says love is just another word
Just another synonym to let him abuse her
Trust what she has to say…
I was that beautiful little girl and now I am a woman plagued with fears
Some nightmares you cannot outrun
And some memories only God can wipe away
The blood of all my pain is on my mother’s hands
"I forgive you"
Beautiful they say…
It’s a mask for something more

A Gift

God gave me eyes so i can see your beautiful smile
God gave me a voice so i can talk to you awhile
God gave me ears so i can hear what you have to say
God gave me you to love each day
God blessed me one day with a beautiful daughter
Now god watches her strengthen with all that i have taught her
God blessed her one day with children of her own
Now my beautiful daughter will love them with all that she has known

Imagine A World

Imagine a world
Where the words you hear
Make you stop
And fight back a tear

Imagine a world
Where a Dad has to face
The pain and suffering
Which he cannot erase

Imagine a world
Where a Dad loves his girl
To him she is always
A most beautiful pearl

Imagine a world
Where a Dad he must try
To always be strong
Never to cry

Imagine a world
Where a Dad has to pray
For his beautiful girl
To turn out okay

Imagine a world
Where a Dad rarely hears
Wished for words
To help ease his fears

Imagine a world
Where a Dad so full of love
Was surely sent
from up above

Imagine a world
Where a Dad could be free
To know all the joys
Having a daughter should be

You Never Deserved Me

To the person who gave me life, nothing less, nothing more

As a child I remember being filthy and left isolated, all alone
Left at the age of seven, not knowing if you’d ever come home

Caring all alone for baby sister, while you ran endlessly all about
Feeding, bathing and taking care of her, listening to her constant shouts

Your commitment was your drugs; let’s not forget the alcohol too
Stammering in all times of the night; an addictive abusive person I
watched you grow into

Looking back I never thought that this life was not extraordinaire
But as I matured and saw the norm;
I realized my life was nothing but despair

Never caring for either of us, just your greedy selfish self
Shooting your heroin and drinking your booze,
Which sat upon your shelf

Taking all our money, spending it on your addictions day and night
Living off ramen noodles, our survival was an endless fight

After years of suffering from your abuse and your manipulating lies
They finally saw your negligence, taking us away ending all ties

Now we’re with our father, and his new beautiful stranger bride
Trust we cannot give to her, for all we’ve ever known has died

Time it did not take for us, to open up and see
That the new beautiful woman bound to care for us,
Was as genuine as one could be

She opened her home and her heart and treated us as her own
She opened our eyes and broke the hard outer wall,
Never do we feel alone

She has given me more love in the past four years
Than you have your entire life-time on this earth,
It’s sad that a woman of only four years,
was the one who taught me self-worth

You are the woman you gave me life,
Nothing more and nothing less
You never deserved me or my little sister
Our mom now has replaced your selfishness

These are my daugther Chelsea's words about her biological mother. I took
them and helped her write the poem at her request. It's very sad and the damage
her "biological mother" has done to her and her sister is un-repairable....Chelsea
has had to be in counseling every since we've had her and I have taught her to
have a voice and if needed, put her thoughts down on paper. She's absolutely
beautiful and amazingly charismatic. She's strong and very responsible and
dedicated...not only to our family, but to life. Both of them were "my gift from God",
and I will cherish this gift forever.

** This poem is in memory of Dawn Hochsprung, the former principal of Sandy Hook. Dawn died trying to protect teachers and students from the gunman. Dawn was a caring, selfless person, who wrote letters to her daughter . I wrote this poem in particularly towards Dawn's daughter Erica.

A beautiful dove flies to Erica's window on a sunny day.

Erica opens the window and lets the beautiful dove in.

As she holds the dove in her hands,

Erica realizes there is a note for her attached to it.

Slowly, Erica opens the note in fear,

It reads:

Hi Erica, it is your mother.

I have sent a dove down to you to show my love.

I am in Heaven, but I am also in your heart helping you to let your wonderful personality shine.

Erica continue to care and enjoy life.

P.S. Erica I have always been back, I have always been in your heart.

As Erica reads the end of the letter,

Light starts coming from the card.

The dove flies away.

I held in my hand a little seed.
It was so small and yet had so much potential.
I gently placed it in some soft fertile soil.
I covered it over and looked in awe.
Every day I tended to it,
watched for the first sign of life.
I was rewarded one day with a tentative, gentle glimmer.
Hapiness overwhelmed me.
I looked after it lovingly, and it grew strong.
Love and care and nourishment.
All my little flower needed.
It was so beautiful, graceful.
Everyone who looked upon it fell in love.
I plucked that flower and placed it in some neutral water.
At first it blossomed.
I knew I had done the right thing.
The petals glowed with life.
something went wrong.
The water grew stale.
My little flower started to wilt.
It bent over and the petals went dull.
One by one she shed her beautiful plumage.
What had I done?
I took my beautiful flower and held it in my hand.
No more was her shining glory.
I wept and held it tight.
I closed my hand protectively.
When I opened my hand, there it was.
Another little seed,
waiting to be reborn.

In Search of Desi's Pot of Gold

When Desi Lou was little an obsession she did speak
Of beautiful bright colored rainbows
As many colors as one could seek

Every time a rainbow appeared; Desi would jump with joy
Pointing at the striking colorful scenery
Her search for a pot of gold I could not destroy

Leprechauns and four leaf clovers also in the midst
Laughing, bouncing hysterically
Over a simple act of nature which exists

Encouraging my daughter’s yearning
Of a child’s fairytale dream to come true
Bright, colorful and dreamy, but not near as beautiful as you

cant explain

I cant find the words to explain,
how beautiful you are,
I reminisce about a goddess,
my queen,
girl you are,
so exotic,
unknown features,
I never seen,
a beautiful creature,
how do I say,
girl i wantcha,
how do I say,
girl I need ya,
I want to smell,
your sweet aroma,
girl im really fallin for ya,
but I cant find the words to explain
how beautiful you are

My Beautiful Little Angel

God decided to take you before I got to spend any time with you
I wanted to at least be able to hold and kiss on you during your life time
But before I got to lay eyes on your beautiful little face
He took you away to an Angelic place

He took you to heaven for you to stay
And that is where you will always remain
A very cruel man hurt me just so he could take your precious life
And now my heart will forever be filled with this permanent strife

I know that you will never be here with me
And that you are in Heaven with our Heavenly Father
That helps my heart ache just a little
But nothing will ever take away the piece of my heart that I buried with you
My Dear Gabriella Diane Courtright, I Love You!
And you will always be My Beautiful Little Angel!

I have wrote this poem for my precious baby girl that I had to bury exactly one month
ago today. I would gladly trade places with my daughter Gabriella right now. I wish
that cruel man would have let me carry you to term that way you could have kept the
Spirit that You and I share Alive.
Your Loving Mother,
Tracy Diane Vilardo

My Beautiful Baby Girl

The day i held my baby girl for the first time
She had pink little cheeks and skin so fine
Taking the blanket off her to get a look at her toes
My little baby girl as beautiful as a rose
Cradled in my arms not making a sound
My beautiful baby girl in her pink flannel gown
As she grew older and than she was one
My beautiful baby girl with hair the color of the sun
Years pass by and than she is seven
My beautiful baby girl a gift from heaven
Now all grown up with her second baby on the way
My little baby girl still as beautiful today
I love you Christy and i hope you see
Your my beautiful baby girl and always will be

Sweet Desi Lou

More precious than gold
Such beauty and grace
My sweet Desi Lou
I shall forever embrace

Her beautiful smile
Her charisma and wit
When collaged all together
Will send your heart a miss

Full of such Great Spirit and a love for life
Throughout all of her adolescent years
My Sweet Desi Lou is growing faster
Faster than I can wipe away her tears

The tears are almost obsolete now
Replaced with smiles, laughter and quips
My daughter you’re nearly a woman
Yet I still yearn for that motherly grip

As the time grows nearer and the signs are sure
My promise to you is this;
To allow you to flourish as a beautiful woman
And to always surround you with a special kiss
