Death of the Poet Destroyer

~The Untold Fatal Attraction Poem~

Mid-morning she sees the sun ahead
Her death flowed in a messaged bottle
Gazing into her brown eyes upon all open sores,
Her conscience dark and gray a never-ending war!
A giant cyclone of a thousand thoughts swirled around this little girl.
Inflicting away the pain, through the comfort of others pen
The way she twisted and twisted life’s perception was out of her control
Inside she knew the glass slipper was never hers to show off

She is baring nothing but a tainted pen, walking throughout eternity’s sand
A prosecutor of misdeeds, accomplishing what, without knowing the way
Departing from her fractured self, she begins to slip into a righteous form,
Twirling her twilight's pen like a baton, spinning it to one final stand

She awakens in a dream, where her sadness does not allow the light to reform
Her body is weak and pale against the birth of her undying sun
Staring down into the deepness of every-bodies abyss
Inside all souls is where she felt lighter, than the retarded sun gives
A crimson sky follows her just to reveal her diminished soul,
A life of shunning out the city glow will always dwell deep inside her
Sleeping under society as one, insulting the taste of innocent blood
Forgetting the vengeance, in a dimension where the pen is mightier than the sword

How did she let it come to this?
In one feeling she fell in love with the spirit of the living rhyme
Watching from a cave, with a diabolical look
Refusing to grasp the self - nature and kill off the destroyer's will
A price beyond this enigmatic world, craving to be just like them
Condemning her meaning to a blasphemy of white butterflies
Destroying her poetic meaning that was destined to dance a tangle of endless rage
In love with the essence of her deceased will
She clings on to the dimness and brilliance at the same time
All corpses lost beyond the girl in question,
Sympathetic in a bizarre language, she mutters out sweetness
Her heart mended, recognizing all the adoration and poetic addiction
Exchanging the real terror, fixated by the life force of her poetic destruction
Giving birth to a new revelation
Now she will never deceive her love for the making of true art,
Not wanting to belong in this wretched world with her destroying criteria,
Her soul sails looking for a new era where love will no longer generate
As she loathes the love and decides not to destroy this generation with hate

At last, longing this one day with the angel of death
With a closing teardrop, one last thought
My death will not be the end; only the ascension~

THIS IS WHY I CAME

They came to the orphanage, I wasn't thinking too much;
Until they looked into my eyes, And I felt their touch.

An incredible connection, This kind of love I'd never seen;
Things were happening so fast, What does all this mean?

Adopted into the family, Thoughts of despair fled;
My Father's arm around me, I'll never forget what he said:

You have a hope and a future, You don't have to be afraid;
I've planned out everything, Preparing for this day.
Here's your new clothes, I'm giving you my name;
You belong to my family, Son, This is why I came!

One Sunday in church, I wasn't thinking too much;
Until I heard the preacher say, Everyone needs a crutch.

At first it didn't make sense, To think I was broken and lame;
My sins had separated me, I was a spiritual orphan in shame.

I bowed my head right then, Trusted Christ in my heart;
I wanted to belong to Jesus, And have a new start.

Adopted into the family, Thoughts of despair fled;
My Father's arm around me, I'll never forget what he said:

You have a hope and a future, You don't have to be afraid;
I've planned out everything, Preparing for this day.
Here's your new cloths, I'm giving you my name;
You belong to my family, Son; This is why I came!

60 years have now passed, I wasn't thinking too much;
Felt a strange pain in my chest, Grabbed hold of the hutch.

The ambulance came, They started working on me;
I was losing the fight, but I was so ready to be free.

Adopted into the family, Thoughts of despair fled;
My Father's arm around me, I'll never forget what he said:

You have a hope and a future, You don't have to be afraid;
I've planned out everything, Preparing for this day.
Here's your new cloths, I'm giving you my name;
You belong to my family, Son, This is why I came!

Indian Girl

--Virginia Slim--

Different eyes, the same world
Ancient skin, dirty Indian Girl
Smokey, eyes, exotic raven hair
---Now listen to the colors, of transformation,
On the day she was born, the wind blew in,
A blessing ---her soul, fallen from the heavens
A gorgeous puff of smoke, Miss Virginia Slim

Able to walk the world with an open mind, she twirls
Pocahontas, one of her many names.
She carves, and climbs on trees, this little Indian Girl,
Her feathers ride with the wind, against her red titian skin
Daughter of Chief Powhatan, a powerful tribal, red man
Peace and love with the Indians of her Virginia Lands,

Many myths, many stories, maybe a mad woman,
A new Christian, living sad poverty, a silent hero,
Twisted tales, from savage green to ivory white religion
In her eyes, life never was about greed and skin
Her new look attained an altitude precision
Pocahontas tricked and captured,
Set to sail another tribe, lands were taken over,
Boat sailed out of Virginia Lands

Tribes acclaimed her to be wild and ambitious
"The naughty one," searching for admission
Native American child, before the princess,
Her beautiful soul, a short auspicious beginning
Leaving her world, beautiful and fearless
Forgetting her roots-- From Mother Willow's Vision
Pocahontas, the Indian Legend from, The Virginia Lands

DANCE AMONG THE FLOWERS

Dance among the flowers
Let's have a party and a tea
Dreaming of the future, and
How I think that things should be
Life should be an adventure
A Prince should take me to the Ball
The wind always fills my sails
When I'm with him, gonna have it all

I dream out loud to make it clear
This little girl has no fear

Growing up is not easy
So much is not what it seems
No time to smell the roses
Or to think of childhood dreams
Life just becomes survival
My Prince was really a pauper too
My ship never left the harbor
Happy days are all too few

My dreams long gone, nothing near
Grown up girl.. So many tears

Hide behind the surface
So you think that I am strong
Inside I'm falling to pieces
How could everything go wrong
Life can make you bitter
A shell of what you could be
Drowning out in the ocean
So far out that none can see

Prayed for a miracle, a new song
That a true Prince would come along

Met you the next morning
Your humor made me smile
The way you looked at me
I hoped you'd stay for awhile
You came a little closer
Then you gently took my hand
Words can't describe it all
Lost dreams were being fanned

You were my miracle, you were my song
All of those childhood dreams, They were inside all along

Dance among the flowers
Let's have a party and a tea
Dreaming of the future, and
How I think that things should be
Life should be an adventure
A Prince should take me to the Ball
The wind always fills my sails
When I'm with him, gonna have it all

I dream out loud to make it clear
This little girl has no fear

You were my miracle, you were my song
All of those childhood dreams,
They were inside all along

*This is the story of a little girl growing up with amazing dreams, only to be devastated by the harsh realities of life. Then by chance, in her adult life, she meets someone that restores her belief in dreams she thought were long gone.

WHEN I LOVE THEE

I LOVE THEE I am no voluptuous beauty nor do I live a life of purity I can only say: I love wholeheartedly with all I am so truthfully I keep my heart open though it gets hurt so often I avoid to be irate as I know love changes the heart rate.. Guys tried to coo and woo, they say words as for "only you" Yet, hard to believe it is true as I see some untrue I give chances as my heart marks with tact entrances I learned from various instances looking man in romances In places where rules impede, two persons who wants to bid Not of money but of affection, in them must be determination I love thee not of what you have… Not even of who you are but to how you are to me… If I love you, don't tell me much what to do… As me, myself will show you, I am that real and true.. Yes, I am liked by many but tell you what: I don't like this honey nor am I proud of it in anyway One is enough to make me stay Stand with me through it all, I give my best not to fall My name your sweetest call echoing in every wall.. Hold me firm yet dear; allow me to move closely We'll make it anyhow, treading smoothly on flows... We are strong, aren't we? No one moving alone Together we'll face phases in tune, though there will dunes.. ________________________________________________________ © OLIVE ELOISA D. Oak Tree

     the Oak Tree

You were always someone special
In the midnight hours in my dream
I could really feel the tension
A tree, a limb, a friend
No matter how hard life came at me
There you stood perfectly
Letting me lean up against your stand
I will never forget the day you swayed the first hi
I talked as if you were hearing
A tree, a piece of wood in my path
A punching bag
My Oak Tree you will always be

One day in my sorrowed life
I stopped by just to reminisce
Your beauty, I find so divine
Your leaves took me backwards
I fell in love with your soul all over again
With a beauty, I find so divine
Hope you will always be there my friend
Indulging the felling you transcend
A cold spot never found in you
Re-breathing your surround, no need to make a sound
The power you have when you make my heart mend
My Oak Tree you will always be my friend

In the lowest day of my life
I went on a secret walk to look for comfort
The beauty of you is no longer there
Walking around with an extra deep pain of hurt
Not sure how one could bare such a loss
Dropping myself to my Knees upon the dirt
An empty spot is the only thing there
My friend I thought you would always be there
How can they take you away from this world?
A lonely field
No root, no seed
Loneliness no one to lean up against
You will no longer be there
How could they cut down, my friend?
My friend the Oak Tree.

Where are your seeds?

The Ballad of Goodie-Two-Shoes

My mother went to heaven on the day that I was born
My father raised me up before my mother he would join
He said, “Son, to get to heaven you must live a good, clean life
So you can go to meet your mother and see me with my wife.”

So, I tried to be good and I followed the golden rule
I did what I should and I was obedient all through school
I shared what I could and I read my bible every day
I tried to avoid evil thoughts and never a hurtful thing I’d say

The kids picked on me and “goodie-two-shoes” became my name
But, because I had a mission my actions always were the same
The road to meet my mother was a path to be kept clear
So bullies had their way with me – no retaliation need they fear

After my father passed away I met a beautiful young girl
She was everything to me; she was the rock in my empty world
We got married in the Summer; she was carrying my child in the Spring
I was looking forward to being a father to this miracle she would bring

I was working at a charity when they broke into my house
My wife tried to hide from them, being quiet as a mouse
They said, “Oh look, its goodie-two-shoes’ home, lets burn it to the ground”
When she yelled at them to stop this act, my wife was finally found

I won’t say what they did to her – the details I will spare
When she said, “My husband will soon be back”, they said, “What do we care”
“Goodie-two-shoes shares everything, of course he’d share his wife
Besides, that man’s a coward; we can do just what we like.”

When I came home and saw her, my mother spoke into my ear,
“Don’t worry about heaven, son, I’ve always been right here.”
I took my wife to the hospital, where they said she’d be okay
Then I went to find those bastards and wipe my life of good away

When they saw me approaching they laughed right into my face
With the first swing of the baseball bat I fell from heavens’ grace
Two men were unconscious before the third knew what to do
The bullet that he shot at me, my shoulder it passed right through

Justifiable homicide – on probation for ten years
My wife and son at my side, there is happiness in my tears
My mother and father visit me every night in my bedtime dreams
I didn’t need to take that path to heaven – or so, at least, it seems

Angels and Outlaws

Come and sit here by the fire
Watch the flickering firelight
Let me touch your lips with mine
Will you keep me warm tonight

I've been here reminiscing
Just feeling kind of sad
Wondering why angels love outlaws
And all the times we had

We've been through Hell together
Feeling the pleasure and the pain
Stood side by side against the world
In the sunshine and the rain

Outlaws live their lives on the edge
Their castles built with sand
Why angels fall in love with them
It's hard to understand

So while we're sitting by this fire
And thinking of all the times you cried
This outlaw loves his angel
I want you forever by my side.

Lost Love

If only you could see the tears
In the world you left behind
You fill my days, my nights, my dreams
You’re all that’s on my mind
Your laugh I’ll never hear again
Your smile I’ll never see
Memories now are all I have
Since loneliness found me
Time was never on your side
Your short life had to end
Now I'm left in pain without
My love and my best friend
The sadness, the emptiness
The pain I have to face
Will never leave my life
For you’re a loss I can’t replace
Even though the rain will fall
And the sun will still shine on
My life will just exist
Because my whole world now is gone
You are an Angel high above now
Watching over me
But someday I know once again
Together we will be
For when my time on earth is done
You’ll come and take my hand
And guide us to eternal love
Together in God's land..

Life is a fraud

This life is a fraud...
Full of nothing but deceit..
This world has lost its glory...
Leaving little reason to be...
For life has treated me like a stone upon a path..
Whoever walked by kicked me out of the way...
However, I still remain standing..
Despite all those arrows fired my way...
I may be flung from path to path..
But upon my journey I remain..
For those who belittle me now..
Laugh, as I assure you I will have the final say..
These tears I shed today..
Will return to haunt you someday..
For the glory I seek, is not here ...
But far away..
For one day, I will return..
To the beginning, from where I came...

Heart Broken Eternally

A sorrow sets in deep in the soul,
To love and not be loved back,
Is aa shattering agony deep within the soul spreading,
A poison that clenches at the soul,
Forming a pact to never love again.
But to let bitter hate control every day of your life.

To My "Layla"

Where is that woman
I so loved so long ago?
And for reasons unfathomed
I love as much still

Beauty beyond compare
to me
Simple in thought
But complex in love

Years of remorse
have run their course
They have worn me down
I admit, I deserve no more
For as i guess oft happens
A fool will hurt himself

Where is she now? I wonder
Does she sleep alone like me?
Or next to someone
She wishes is elsewhere

Or, if blessed with luck-
Entwined in the arms
Of one she so loves

Oh, if it could be me
Foolish me...
Unable to endure
A love so intense
I felt I was losing
my identity
I found this powerful
love, this passion,
almost an obsession
Too scary to deal with

So I walked-
and 35 years later
so much
would love to
retrace my steps...
leading to her...

At least to know
how her life has unfolded
Not to rekindle
Love's embers
I'm not the same
as I was then

Worn down by years
Of abuse and pain
Yet every day
I think of her again

The apple of my eye
Layla incarnate

Once bodies entwined
Sweetest hours of my life

I'm a fool
So much a fool
Regret is my daily meal
Fools deserve no more

For many years gone by,
And many years to come
I will regret...
The acts of this fool."

EXPRESSIONS OF AFFECTION

Wrapping your loving arms around
somebody whom you love with passion....
is an expression of affection,
and no one expects a reward!

Only God gives love freely...
to demonstrate how intense is kindness;
and we ought to give it kindly,
not shying away from mindfulness!

Giving more than you have to someone
who needs comforting words...
is surely an expression of affection,
and deeper understanding without recompense!

Our struggles may cause us to worry,
leaving behind unpleasant reminders...
that we never learn from errors
and continue to act improperly?

Smiling widely and honestly
is the truest expression of affection,
welcomed as the most genuine intention;
why can't we all love sincerely?

This life is none than a short jeourney,
fulfilling what's called destiny;
lives are glorified by their deeds,
but also destroyed by insidious influences!

Coming to the rescue of your closest friends,
who seem troubled by hardships or pain,
helps them find hope when they only had tears;
stand by them with that expression of affection!

Life

Life is a many things
Sometimes life is a dark tunnel,
But every tunnel has a light at the end
I will be your lantern to guide the way
Cling to me and I will keep you from the darkness
Life is a giant battle.
I will be your shield and spear
Your spear to pierce through the horrible people
Who want to harm you,
Your shield to protect you
From the battles you cannot win your self
life is many things my dear
But I am here,
For you to use, to cherish, and love.
Life is many things my dear.
But you are not alone.
I am here.

Another Cruel Link in their Chain

Another Cruel Link in their Chain

	1. Beginnings

Her babe was her joy, such a beautiful boy ,
and he suckled her breast till the end...
The Massa sought cash, bestowed mammy a lash,
sold her babe to a gentrified friend
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

With mammy not there, Sammy dared not to dare
but to bide near the edge of the night
But nevertheless one must always outguess
or absorb burning stings of the bite
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

Though learning the rules in the shadows of fools
as he grew to a leery lean lad
He often defied but he never once cried
although whipped at the post whene’er bad
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

	2. Youth

The cotton gin broke and nobody spoke,
so the Massa said “BENNY’S TO BLAME”
But Sammy said ‘No... Massa, jus caint be so,
	no ’tain’t Benny, ’tain’t Benny’s sore name’
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

“LOOK, SEE IN HIS EYES HOW THAT N*G*** BOY LIES” –
	- replied Sam ‘no I’s tellin da truth’
But daring to speak earned him scars for his cheek
and so blemished the bloom of his youth
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

“THE COTTON GIN’S BROKE, AND THAT JUST AIN’T NO JOKE”
and he called upon Benny to pay
“WELL, BEN’LL NOW SWIM FROM THE END OF A LIMB”
just as Sam feared the Massa would say
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

Dark faces soon blanched; Benny bended a branch
near the base of a broken oak tree
His body hung bare as it swung in the air
and the buzzards and crows shrieked with glee
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

	3. Flight

Sam’s feet were unclad, as befitting a lad
as alone as a stone in his path
So oft on the run neath the sly sliding sun
being followed and feeling god’s wrath
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

Surrounded and caught brought his efforts to naught,
child in chains at the end of his trek
Winds wept as he went, with his spirit unbent,
a cold collar of steel ’round his neck
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

	4. Life

Sam grew to a man, branded ‘boy’ by the klan,
as they spat on the trail that he tread
If he raises his gaze or he wanders or strays
the pack promise to sever his head
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

Once Sam found a wife who they ripped from his life,
yes along with the babe at her breast
(Was it simply their greed or by heaven decreed? ...)
well, with hindsight you might guess the rest
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

	5. Endings

From phantoms of fright neath the frail foggy night
Sammy soared as he fled to escape
He no longer crawled (heeding freedom that called)
through the darkness, a black hole agape
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

Unleashed! Frenzied dogs hounding Sam through the bogs,
(baying beasts neath the bloody red moon)
White fangs intermeshed as they mangled his flesh,
freedom flayed through the pale afternoon
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

Sam’s body was torn leaving little to mourn
but there’s really no need to despair
And there’s no need to cry for his spirit can’t die,
being borne by bound men everywhere
It flits like a flash, a lithe leathery lash,
yet another cruel link in their chain

EPITAPH SAM Revolted and clashed ’gainst the cruel leather lash and broke free from the choke of the chain
EPILOGUE Those parts of the past that we gaze at aghast reveal harrowing questions quite plain - Why people so free, just like you, just like me, were so happy inflicting such pain? Why we bask in the throes of humanity’s woes while we wait while the tyrannies reign? And I’m wondering too (’cause I don’t have a clue) ... might we each be a link in their chain?

INSIDE YOUR EYES

You stumble over words
feeling insecure
So much you want to say
but still unsure
You worry what I think
tears trickle down your cheek
want to unzip your heart
but silent.. cannot speak

Look into my eyes
and fear will fly away
I'll see inside your eyes
all you want to say
My finger on your lips
don't say a word
Here in my embrace
every thought is heard

Girl, I love you so
ya make me wanna shout
But we can take it slow
ya never need to doubt
Yeah, I am into you
climb mountains, sail seas
Until our kingdom comes
and you're united with me

Look into my eyes
and fear will fly away
I'll see inside your eyes
all you want to say
My finger on your lips
don't say a word
Here in my embrace
every thought is heard

Look into my eyes
and fear will fly away
I'll see inside your eyes
all you want to say
My finger on your lips
don't say a word
Here in my embrace
every thought is heard

Stone by Stone

I have a wall you cannot see
Because it's deep inside of me.
It blocks my heart on every side.
And helps emotions there to hide.
You can't reach in,
You can't reach out,
You wonder what it's all about.

The wall I built that you can't see
Results from insecurity.
Each time my tender heart was hurt
The scars grew worse and worse.
So stone by stone,
I built a wall,
That's so thick it will not fall.

Please understand that it's not you-
Continue trying to break through.
I want so much to show myself
And love from you will really help.
So bit by bit,
Chip at my wall,
Till stone by stone it starts to fall.

I know the process will be slow-
It's never easy to let go.
Of hurts and failures long ingrained,
Upon one's heart from years of pain.
I'm so afraid,
To let you in,
I know I might get hurt again.

I try so hard to break the wall,
But seem to get nowhere at all.
For stone upon each stone I've stacked,
And left between them not a crack.
The only way,
To make it fall,
Is imperfections in the wall.

I did the best I could to build
A perfect wall, but there are still
A few small flaws, which are key
Please use each flaw,
To use a crack,
To knock a stone off the stack.

For just as stone by stone was laid,
With every hurt and every pain.
So stone by stone the wall will break,
As love replaces everyone.
Please be the one,
Who shares enough,
To find the flaws, no matter what.

Little Blue Bird of Rain

Little Blue Bird of rain.

Rain, rain go away
Little Blue Bird of Rain, needs to shine again
In her version the sun dried, up all her tears
Leaving hurtful rain inside the bird
Destructive past sudden cheers
Waking up to empty words
When abandoned by her peers
Just not knowing what had just occurred

Drowning herself in a life of Jane Doe.
Never know who she really is
When all she loves hanging her lowest moment
The rain brought out Mary-Jane.
As the bird lost its glow.
The rain tricked her once to use Cocaine.
As her feathers met that one Joe.
He broke her wing and brought more Rain.

Very young, very sweet.
Living her life in the fast lane.
Hard for her to stand on her feet.
Balanced her life on one leg, like the crane.
Curtains hang over her wings.
While she let no one near her domain.

While she flies through the heavy rain.
She finds her comfort with a pen.
Using the lords name in vain.
Cursing all her backstabbing friends
With no one around to explain?
All the sorrow left her on a railroad track.
Ending up like the runaway train.
Only she can get her life back.

If for myself I ever felt pain?
I felt more pain at what she wrote about.
In my face on my left side
Your poetry comes to life in my head.
Visions of her wanting to be dead.
Oh! How I wish this life she did not dread.

You hide the tears you shed so well.
A life with balls you cut the chains.
You diss, Your parents to go to hell.
Little Blue Bird of Rain, don't let them fools drive you insane.

Little Blue Bird of Rain.
If a sparrow could show you,
There is more to life than pain.
Under the umbrella, the sparrow would cover you.
No one wants to see her colors drain.
What a world to master her feathers into art.
The gift of words runs through her vein

The paintings on her wall.
A dream of a bad seed of grain.
One day our Little Blue Bird will stand tall.
To free herself from all the Rain.

The Dragon and the Rose

Outside of civil man’s well tended garden,
A field of briars willfully encroached,
Threatening the peaceful flowers without pardon.
Oh these gardeners fought hard as the briars approached.

“You don’t belong here, you’re not good enough!”
“You are snarled with iniquity and with thorns.”
“You live a life so very harsh and rough…”
“What good can you bring?” they said with deep seated scorn.

And the briar replied that hot summer day,
“Deep within these unforgiving boughs
Lives a flower who doesn’t have much to say
Except a story concerning what you espouse.”

“You see there lives a dragon scorned just over the way,
Who tossed opportunity and harbingers to the wind,
Because life is glorious and he loves to play…
Carefree and cavalier is how his days were spent.”

“He playfully trampled gardens carefully tended,
By pious gardeners without wings who would never fly,
Until he happened upon a flower wonderfully scented,
Crimson in color, the flower reflected beauty in his eye,”

“Eagerly he reached forward to make it his own,
But this glorious flower was protected by thorns,
And gave the dragon a prick to change his tone,
And it was in that prick that true love was born.”

“Now the dragon is older and has spent his days,
Watching over this rose, the love of his life,
Learning about beauty and awe inspiring ways.
His world now protected by thorn and briar.”

“He has discovered great beauty and learned much,
And no longer does the dragon destroy with fire.”
“But should you gardeners even dare to touch
A single branch or bough in this tangled briar…”

“You will face both the Dragon and the Rose,
Who with great love now protect each other,
From pious gardeners who would have them go,
Because neither can be kept on a tether.”

“So snip your lilies and pluck your weeds,
Make your lives as perfect as they can be,
For in this harsh briar we continue to watch love grow,
That of a magnificent Dragon and the beautiful Rose.”

Estimate The Cost

You look back and dream of days long gone
You can feel the tears as they're coming on
Just realizing how much you lost
It's no way to estimate the cost

Once you walked with purpose and your will was strong
Wouldn't back down now somehow it all seems wrong
Never found out how the dice were tossed
Just count the chips and estimate the cost

Oh the price was more than you thought it would be
You just turned your back so you wouldn't see
There were limits set but those lines you crossed
Never took the time to estimate the cost

Now time is closing down that open road
Memories become such a heavy load
Autumn years will bring an early frost
Too late to sit and estimate the cost

Now you're just a few steps ahead of the hell you made
It wasn't supposed to be how the game was played
Total disregard, oh how the rules were tossed
Now the time has come to estimate the cost.

My Wandering

I wandered the vastness of the universe
Just to meet you here
I considered many life times to glimpse
Your adorable essence
I explored the magical land of Atlantis
Even the technological Lemuria
I lived a couple of thousands of years in Sumeria
And learned to spoke magical words
I lived with the hundreds of lambs in Syria
To learn how to live with them in the barren land
I was in Mongolia to learn how to cook food
And created my own menu
I was with the Emperor and Empress of Japan
To be one of their counsels
I was once a daughter of a peasant in Italy
Learned to live with a single meal a day
I learned to fly an airplane in France
And leave my profession for marriage
I craved to wrote songs in Canada
But still longed for someone I knew
I was with you in the battle ground of ancient Egypt
I learned how to kill and to be killed then
I tried to discover more about myself
Lived inside a cave of mountainous Indonesia
I entered the great temple of India
To learn how to be the master of my surroundings
But died when a mysterious epidemic spread
I created more thoughts and realized inside a cell in Chile
And killed myself for an escape to my wrong ordeals
I existed again to work on my rippled karma
I visited the temples of Tibet to find peace
I discovered how to heal myself
And every person I tormented
I roamed around the great City of Brazil
But to no avail I never saw someone like you
I remembered why I am here then
I still chased you in further ground of Incas
But nothing happened
You still left me for another person
I continued to soar within this land
And was killed while counting miles across the sea of England
I explored the lessons of to be abandoned
As I always waited for this love
I was catapulted again in the battle fields of the Philippines
Where I was killed in an ambush with my three best friends
Yet my desire never materialized
I returned here being wary you was out of life again
I decided to get back to the golden planet
But escaped before the capsule like craft flown
While have had a thought in mind
That I am expected you to came
And now finally we bumped each other again
This will be the last life I shall chose to see you
Since I planned long before this moment
I will be home where I am from
And be one with my sparks.

Silent House

The house stands mute, broken by years...
Windows stare through jagged glass.
Empty as the eyes of death.
Silent void...echoing joy..patient tears,
reach out in memory each time I pass
the gaping door which has no breath.

A rusted lamp-post leans toward Earth...
listening for approaching sound,
to light the darkness once more.
Quiet hush...resounding mirth,
touch my step upon the ground,
and beckon me in, to the shattered house.

Crushed boards once held dancing feet...
laughter clings to crumbled stones,
and tears strain the silent rooms.
Scattered remnants of life replete,
lie still as whitened desert bones,
and words spoken...here entombed.

I gaze upon torn and tattered walls...
Time pauses, and whispers soft to me
of life blossomed rich in moments gone.
Of a woman whose memory recalls
the beauty of love...and eternity...
mirrored in a rose upon the lawn.

House so sad, your youth abounds,
neath fallen grace, and buried sounds.
I hear your song in distant night,
and stand before your silent sight.

A Poem About Nothing but Love

A Poem About Nothing but Love By: Tyner Twine "I edited a few parts from my original poem. As tribute to my first love's requiem. Nevertheless, this simple soul song is the same, Written all for love and not for fame. A poem of love I wrote on hot summer day, remembering the love that has, for so long, faded away." Would someone care to explain Why people write poems in a way That adorns with jewels something so plain That expresses emotions beyond the insane I lift my quill and dwelt on the thought, And realized the reflections I made and forgot... There I lift my pen THEN PAUSED and reflected: How should I begin to write, About lads and gals with love at first sight? Though I have tried as hard as I might, To close my eyes from love's delight, He won me over without a fight, Now all I see is love's pure light. I wondered... Now I shall write: Have I become some kind of fool Who let Love ruin my poems and rules? Who let Nostalgia come and play With distant Beloved's memories on a working day? Have I been foolish every night, To think his arms are holding me tight, To wish that he'll come home to stay, That he'll make love to me every night and day I think these thoughts and was appalled, How | felt too warm and oh, so galled In thinking that these thoughts might stay, and be my ruin at the end of the day. Love, oh love, is a cruel thing for fools if I might say, Though it is delightful it has a price to pay. Fool, fool, fool! With love as her tool... I am. Beguiled and ruined. Oh ~ why can't they just write about trees? Or how honey flows and comes from bees? Why can't they just write about the Sky? See the clouds and the mist and the birds that fly? Why can't they just write about life? How calves are born and how they die? How flowers bloom with the light of the moon, How the sun rose up and set too soon? Oh, a foolish poet's heart of clay, Be molded with the warmth of fate's faint sway! For life changed drastically above, As the fool that I am Writes a poem about nothing but love.

Questions

What will the day bring do we ever know?
Could it be the sun shining bright or flowers that grow
Or maybe a surprise storm that’s brewing out there
We just never know, should we always beware?

Is it a chance meeting of a friend or lending a hand?
Or eating a meal that is ever so grand
Is it a work day where everything goes right?
Maybe you saw something that gave you a fright

We just never know from day to day
Maybe it’s been a day full of play
Or a full moon lighting your way
As you kneel at bedtime and begin to pray

So when you rise the next day and start your way
Try to do good and don’t go astray
You have this one life to do what you can
And hope things turn out the way that you plan.

The Power Of Pride

As I surmise all that is me strewn and cluttered,
My conscious lies casually shorn and shuttered,
For here lie the spoils of stubborn iniquity,
I shuffle and toil, floundering in frailty.

Oh what great havoc, what conscious so lewd,
Creates such traffic which now spoils the fruit,
Of truly righteous deeds committed by a scurrilous man,
Of whom I could no better know, no better understand,

For this terribly lost and forever forlorn soul,
Is none other than me shivering and sniveling so,
And as helpless as I suddenly appear to be,
I now understand the strength pride provides so easily,

For there is purpose in pride, yet none in shame,
As ambition carries us blind to who’s at blame,
And just where is the woe when the devil may care,
For we are soon found alone, our conscious left bare,

And as I embark into this desolate place,
My horrors so dark, my fears crimson in taste,
Forward I race into the perilous pit,
With none other to blame for this simple life I quit.

The Day Her Garden Died

The day her garden died
Her husband was out of town.
She was all alone that night,
She had an unwelcome guest,
He ravished her over and over til her inside was sore
She wanted to die that night, she was so ashamed,
and she never told a soul.

The day her garden died
was the day she got the news
That the baby she carried inside of her
Would never be born
For she had a fatal virus
The baby was now dead.

The day her garden died
Was the day her husband left her
He said she, should stay away from him
Her life was just too dim
That night she cried in agony
Her anguished gnawed within her
And she couldn't stand the pain

The day her garden died
was the final straw, she was driven to madness
she lost everything,
Now she's been put into confinement
for fear that she might kill herself
She wanted to take her own life
to end her misery...

Silently I Cry For You

I wander through this land
Of broken promises and dreams
Clouded by the death of you
Wondering what life means

My colourless existence
In a world of black and grey
Reflects the person I’ve become
And who I am today

Without you in my life
I seem to have no life at all
No one here to guide me
Or to catch me when I fall

I almost hear you breathing
I almost feel you near
I almost feel your touch
Sometimes it’s almost like you’re here

This jigsaw puzzle of my life
Has pieces I can't find
For half of me went with you
Leaving half of me behind

I feel so cold and lonely
So battered and so bruised
I feel so insecure right now
Tortured and confused

My life is like an open book
Written but unread
Thoughts I never told you
Words I never said

The voice of hidden truth, I know
Will never now be spoken
Though time may heal my scars
I know my hearts forever broken

Silently I cry for you
Silently I pray
For silence is the loudest spoken word
I never say

I can’t escape the darkness
I’ve come to know so well
While you are free in heaven
I still reside in hell

And here I will remain
Until the day my life is through
Until the day God takes my hand
And leads me back to you..

Across the Way - The Sequel

Another day and the dishes have piled up yet again
So back I end up in front of the window
I do not glance up, but concentrate
On the dull, dirtied objects before me
I do not hear the voices from yesterday
I still wallow in the grime of gray
I smile in malcontent
As I lather the dishes with soap
Against my will, I look up
To see a lone, fat man opening a refrigerator
He is shirtless, bulgy, and he looks pregnant
My first supposition is to laugh
But I only look back down at the dishes
Not wanting to stare at the fat man
Not wanting to think he looks pregnant
For sure not wanting him to be my neighbor
Across the way

Against my will again, I look up
The fat, pregnant man is gone
I see ornaments on the refrigerator
Some pictures, some magnets
Family; not so different from my life
But yet, there is a transparent fancy of mystery
A flashy rage of difference in the silence
Oh, so quiet
The blazing sun sprays its light upon the hour
Not only are my hands wet from the soapy water
The deafening tone of quietude
Revels in me a mixture of loneliness and physical heat
A burning desire for something not seen
A desire for utter disgust of my newly found neighbors
But I find myself not disgusted at all
Until I look up again and see a fully naked man at the window
Across the way

Boy and Girl

I feel my mind go wondering back
And let the years unfold
To when I first met you
When we were only twelve years old

So innocent and young we were
Just holding hands together
When we shared our first kiss
I thought you’d stay with me forever

But then as we grew up
I left behind my school girl days
It broke my heart to turn our backs
And go our separate ways

And as the years passed by
I tried to put you from my mind
For I had family ties now
Leaving memories far behind

But you and I had something
That forever would be there
A love that grew from innocence
That no one else could share

And though I tried forgetting
In my heart you did remain
For deep inside I knew one day
Our paths would cross again

We couldn’t hide our feelings
Though we both knew it was wrong
For we were man and woman now
The boy and girl had gone

But deep inside we’d always known
That 'we' could never be
While you were tied to someone else
I had my family

So once again you walk away
But never will you know
The sadness and the pain inside
The tears I'll never show

The heartache that will stay with me
Until the day I die
For you will always be the love I lost
Who said goodbye...

the words i neverhear

The Words I never Hear
I hear the sound of the rain beating
On my window pain..
I hear the birds talking up
A storm….
I hear others telling one another
What I never hear….
I never hear I care about you..
I never hear you’re beautiful…
I never hear you are special….
I never hear don’t worry
I will stand by you…..
I never hear the most important words
That assures anyone
That they matter
I NEVRE HEAR
I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUU
AT ALL……
I never get Hugged and here
It will be ok
                                                                                         Kandee 2011
