Bronze Mustangs

The prairie’s now a city, just a cold and sterile land
The Spirits have been driven out for the benefit of man.
The fields are carved with pavement and the lights glow all the time
And a towered concrete profile marks the City limit line.

But the Mustangs will keep on running through the brick and granite plains
With the winds forever blowing through their bronze metallic manes
Time will never tame them forever young through eternity
Never to be broken and forever running free

We try to keep it wild and pure but the times demand so much
The land once owned by nature, we are now so out of touch.
Another road another bridge and we keep on building on,
Tearing down and building back now the wilderness is a gone

But the Mustangs will keep on running through the brick and granite plains
With the winds forever blowing through their bronze metallic manes
Time will never tame them, forever young through eternity
Never to be broken and forever running free.

The land will give its life to you and we take it in our hands.
We cover up what’s good and true, its Spirit wild and grand.
So we forged some spirits from the past and we put them on display
And we set them up to be the last wild horses of our day.

So the Mustangs will keep on running through the brick and granite plains
With the winds forever blowing through their bronze metallic manes.
Time will never tame them, forever young through eternity
Never to be broken and forever running free.
