Goodbye, My Child

Where cradled canyons sing
Of ebony wood in the forest
There lies a gurgling spring
Where cockcrows sing their chorus
To the melody of singsong birds
There I’ve concealed my sensuous words
Filled with befitted signs
The saccharine whiff of my designs

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Where the fogs of night are fountains
Spills of glistened moon ignite
By distant silhouette mountains
We dance with passion of fight
Entwining ancient stance
Mingling hand in hand we dance
Till the mountains smile on high
Near and far we spring
To pursue the realest of dreams
While the world cries at its seams
Anxious in trouble to cling

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

To where the ridges merry make
From the beaks of wooden bright
In sparkly pools the ghouls awake
That scarce to stir our night
We watch for seekers down under
Muttering secrets in their soul
We bid them lucks of shivers
Dipping gently in
From reeds that hide a tear of a foal
Under the gentle rivers

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

Far away she shall ever churn
The taciturn eyed
She’ll listen no more to turn
To the working mills beside
Or the scrubbing of the barn
May peace weave in her song
She shall wave in the yarn
To a haven known as Belong

Come to me my mortal youth
To the wild realm of your truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only your tears be found

For she comes, the mortal youth
To the wild realm of her truth
Where nymphs and gnomes abound
For the earth is filled with weeping
And only her tears be found

The little soldier boy

His daddy is fighting in Iraq.
His mommy is fighting tears.
His brother is fighting death.
He is fighting his desolation and fears.

Friends are but a dream
and companions are an illusion.
School is a concentration camp,
but he stands, though alone, in the midst of confusion.

His training school is loneliness.
His milestones are fears, thrust in lies.
His only weapon is faith
and his bullets are soft "hallelujah" cries.

Strength left his fragile body
and he lost the fight in life so coy,
yet on his knees he conquered agony
and I call him the little soldier boy.

Sometimes

Sometimes I am happy, sometimes I am sad.
Sometime I sing, sometimes I stammer

Sometimes I dance on the music of my soul, Sometimes I dance on the fingers of
one single person
Sometimes I expect so much from others; sometime I myself can’t meet my own
expectations.

Sometime I make fun of others and feel bad later, sometimes life makes fun of me
and I smile
Sometime I win and sometimes I lose, sometimes I don’t even understand whether I
won or lost.

Sometimes I laugh as if whole world is with me,
Sometimes I cry as if I am alone wandering in a strange land

Sometimes I give up so easily
Sometimes I work so hard that no one can stop me to achieve what I want

Sometimes I am dynamic person, who wants to change the world,
And sometimes I am a kid who expects anyone to embrace him tightly.

Sometimes I feel happy about the achievement of my enemy
Sometime I feel dejected with my own success.

Sometimes I help others and show them the right path
Sometimes I feel totally helpless and don’t know where to go

Sometimes I ask god to please give my past back
Sometimes I pray to show me the way forward

Life is composed of SOMETIMES and I just flow with that.
U admit or not but you are also sailing on the same boat.
So join me and enjoy it EVERYTIME as SOMETIMES life is very short!

Timeless Love

They met at first around sixteen, while they were in their teens.
A young man tall and handsome, a girl with many dreams.
Years later they did meet again this time he was smitten.
It took some time to hook this girl, eventually their history written.

He had a plan to marry her and move her from her home.
She'd have to leave her roots, the only thing she'd known.
Leave her home and family was what she had to do,
The love they shared was eternal even though it 'twas brand new.

This love they shared was a gift, their faith was also strong
They both loved many similar things like fishing, books and song.
Seven children blessed their lives, they started their own tree
So strong this love they shared, became one large family.

Both worked hard to raise them, devoted to each one,
They shared their love equally to each daughter and each son.
Education and faith were important, practiced with daily prayer
They fed and clothed this family with love and tremendous care

Each child was very different and different paths they took.
Educators, artists, builders, Lawyers and even cooks.
Each child found their partners, some added children to each branch.
All love music, all loved to read, a few even like to dance.

Their children had more children and the two were greatly blessed,
With lovely grandchildren with many traits that both these two possessed
What remained from the love they shared twas passed down through the line
A love this strong must be shared and it surpassed all time

Four generations have now developed from these two whose love began
So many years before when both had shared a plan.
Each twig shares a piece and resembles one or the other
For this love story that's been described was about a Father and Mother

I'd love to say they share a life together here today
But God had different plans in mind, for one he took away
The void he left was devastating to everyone you see
Hardest on the one for which he shared atop the tree

The plan these two created at the time they were entwined
Continues on by one so strong , who giveth all of her time
To the tree these two created which grows branches to this day
The love created by these two shall never go

DOLL WITH WINGS

Porcelain doll hangs on shadows and wings Of twilight’s frame. Guarding an autumn child The toy lightens ink of stenciled dusk As her enamel fingers gleam like candles Yellow the stars where she comes from robed in fine lace . Through heaven’s print An angel in disguise bestows love, as Porcelain doll hangs on shadows and wings Rick Parise's 8 Lines 7 Words Enjambment Contest by nette onclaud

I'm my Daddy Made Over

Dedicated to my Dad Jerry W. Niday 3/20/1952 - 6/18/2013

I am who I am because of him
He’s the reason for my son’s name
He gave me my courage & my strength
To stand tall even when standing wasn’t easy
Stand for the ones who can’t
To think and fend for myself
I’m my Daddy made over

Taught me to fight back
To never back down
How to pick myself back up
When I’ve been knocked down
Fight for what I believe
I’m my Daddy made over

He gave me my stubbornness
Gave me my pride
Gave me my temper
Taught me not to take crap
To speak my mind no matter who
Work for what I want
I’m my Daddy made over

How to keep my emotions in check
How to handle large amounts of pain
When in trouble he always had my back
He knew how my mind worked better than anyone
I got it from him
I’m my Daddy made over

Even though he’s gone
I’ll stand and continue on
I may stumble I may fall
May even get hurt along the way
But I’ll pick myself back up
I’ll dust myself off and stand tall
I’m honored and proud to say
I’m my Daddy made over

Night Angel

They needed help
Walking alone in the dark.
The man.
The child.
A broken down car.
The child frightened,
But not understanding
The terror
That would soon
Come her way.
Her parents petrified
That their baby was gone,
Agonizing
Over forbidden images
That crowded their way
Past ice cream sundays
And birthday parties
And wedding days.
A passer-by.
A doer of good deeds.
He stops.
He sees.
He looks into
the little girl's eyes.
Bravely
The girl speaks,
"This is not my dad"
And the coward
who took her,
He runs.
He hides.
The passer-by,
Believing he saved
A child
From a long, cold walk,
In reality
Saved a child
From a long, cold death.

Once Upon A Time

This is a poem about the future I'd love to have with the boy of my dreams.
None of this has actually happened yet (besides us falling in love with eachother) but it's how I would like it to happen.

Once upon a time, I became the luckiest girl in the world. I fell in love with a gorgeous boy with blue eyes, and he actually loved me back. He was like my prince, he treated me like his princess and would do anything for me. Today, we're united as King and Queen. It's been years, but walking down the aisle I'm still staring at the cutest, most perfect guy I've ever seen. When our lips finally meet after parting to say "I do", it tastes like Heaven.

Once upon a time, I married a gorgeous boy with blue eyes. And today, I saw those perfect blue eyes light up when he first held our little girl in his arms. She's got her Daddy's blue eyes and just a little bit of her Momma's brown hair. She's going to be spoiled and loved more than possible. She'll know we support her no matter what, and she can tell us everything. It will be perfect.

Once upon a time, one set of blue eyes became two, and we were made into a family. Now, that second pair of blue eyes is walking out the door to college, with a suitcase in one hand and a boy's hand in the other. He better love her and treat her just as well as her Daddy does.

Once upon a time, I fell in love with a gorgeous boy with blue eyes. His hair has dulled and grayed but his eyes are the same, and they've seen a lifetime's worth of happiness and love. My baby had babies with the boy she walked out the door with, and I can tell she loves them as much as we loved her. Now it's her time to live.

The tree of life

A lonely tree stands in a field
Branches entwined in one
And as those branches come to life
They reach up to the sun

This tree with all it's energy
just like a woman so it be
It's branches swaying in the breeze
just like a mother's offspring, these

And so the lonely tree does age
The human kind out living
But we all end up just the same
Our flesh to earth be giving

And thus our lives all end the same
No matter what we be
Some have long lives, some much less
In life's sweet mystery

After the fall

Quite frankly, I don't remember at all
You see I was quite young when I took my first fall.
Don't know which parent was there to catch me
Or how hard the decision was to stand back and let me.
Did I topple forward or backward, or who made the call.
And who scooped me up crying
After the fall.
I can't remember the joy of first letting go
And taking that step without holding on.
Groping my way forward
Leaning against the wall
I got back up
After the fall.
As the Earth spun the years flew by so fast
At 17 I finally knew everything at last!!
Unexpectedly, I fell once again,
Head over heels this time
And out on a limb.
I was so sure of that bet
I gambled it all
Heart bruised abused and then broken
After that fall.
And then I broke my own promise
To not love again.
Hungry for life
I gambled to win.
Life is a theatre of first steps first
A one act play with no time to rehearse.
Co starring in roles
Cast without planning.
"Never more" echoes
The raven still chanting.
Undaunted unwilling
To let darkness win all
Trusting Father to be there
After the fall.
Then the day came
When I had a son
To let him learn the word hot And hope he'd not run,
Would he still love me
Or trust me at all
When I pulled my hand back
And allowed him to fall?
And knowing I'd be there again
To help him to stand
And knowing he might never walk
If I didn't let go of his hand
And hoping he didn't revert back to a crawl
When I let go of his hand
And allowed him to fall.
As the earth kept on turning
My heart kept yearning
My son now a man
Living and learning.
He hasn't held my hand now in a very long time
The cats in the cradle slowly plays in the back of my mind.
I looked in the mirror today
And noticed my dad.
And remembered a talk that we'd never had.
Remembering how he seemed towering and tall
And was there every time
After each fall.
I lose my balance these days now and again
My steps aren't as sure
As they once might have been.
In the winter of life now
I feel so small
And wonder who'll catch me
If I take a fall.
I suppose I'll just have to trust Father
With both great things and small
To pick me up on the other side
When I take my last fall.

Thank you

Thank you – Zamreen Zarook

Thank you is a sweet word in the nature,
You may be a guy of adventure,
May be you are a person of agriculture,
What matters is your architecture.

Never forget the people, who guided you,
In no degree neglect who were with you,
Don’t ever overlook a creature, who gave a smile to you,
Because, you will meet them above you.

People forget the past due to selfishness,
They have no time to remember their unawareness,
Society, most of the times behave in awfulness,
They will understand when their lives come in to bitterness.

Be a person to thank and remember,
Don’t consider them as December,
Because, you might need them in November,
So, always be as a good subscriber.

Dear Michelle

You almost had me,
I wanted you,
The way you stuck to me like super glue,
I was feeling you,
But I knew,
I could never have you,
But, the way you looked at me,
The way my body pleads,
We can never be,
Because I’m too old,
And your only thirteen.

Puzzle Piece

A puzzle piece you are to me
Like a vine without any leaves.
Your heart is pure your soul is
Gold, the sweetest thing I'll
ever hold! A miracle in my eyes
it seemed, knowing they said
no babies for me! Always a
surprise you seem to be just
like a puzzle piece! At 9 months
you walked but not until 4 did
you first talk! Always a terror
making a beautiful mess always
a surprise that has yet to be
met! The twists and turns I
know we will see will seem
somewhat like a roller coaster
to me! The milestones and
special gifts you bring will make
my life seem Like a dream, my
special boy I have always said
How special I knew not till
Aspergers they said! The
journey will be trying the
journey will seem long! But
with our family together we will
chug along! My special boy I
love you so and cannot wait to
see you mature and grow! Now
we have a goal we have our
dream you see to make you the
perfect fitting puzzle piece!!

A Child's Dream Come True

As the sunsets at the end of the day,
And the night begins to fall,
So, does all the dreams of all the little children,
In their own wonderlands of their own,
Wishing and thinking of great things to come,
Hoping their parents will make these dreams come alive,
Cause dreams to children should become bright and gleam,
And all to them more than just alive,
All children want is hopes and dreams to become true,
But if you can teach them how to work hard at them,
They too can make their dreams become their own reality,
For any one person works hard enough,
At what they want in life,
They can have any one thing they want,
All they have to do is work really hard to make it real,
For believers can believe in themselves,
And strive to work toward making their own goals,
Their very own come true,
Which gives more satisfaction in life,
Than things being handed to you,
So always strive for the best,
And all your wishes and dreams can come true,
In your life if you want them too.

The Right Thing to Do

Written 7 March 2014
-------------------------------------

Bruce and Jennie, both were 10,
Had been playmates all their lives.
One day, Bruce proclaimed,
“Jennie… most good men have wives.”

He professed his love for her.
Jennie said she loved him too.
They decided that getting married
Was ‘the right thing’ to do.

So, Bruce went to speak to her father,
Who was doing yard work at the time.
“May I speak to you, Mr. Johnson?”
“Sure, Bruce. What’s on your mind?”

“Sir, I love your Jennie;
And Jennie, she loves me;
But we need your permission
To be married… to be “We.”

Impressed by Bruce’s courage,
He knew this confrontation must be tough.
He smiled and asked, “Bruce, are you sure
You love my daughter enough?”

Bruce’s face became stern, he said,
“Mr. Johnson, let me tell you…
I love Jennie so much…and she loves me.
We’re both sure it’s the right thing to do.”

He was moved by Bruce’s ardor,
But permission was not his to give.
So, quick as flash, he responded,
“But Bruce…where will you live?”

“Sir, I measured her room;
Then I measured mine.
Hers is 40 percent bigger.
We’ll live there. We’ll be fine.

If we have extra stuff,
We’ll keep that in my room.
We’ll keep our places neat and tidy.
You won’t even need a broom.

And both our parents can save money
On babysitters too.
Even if you do things on the same night,
You’ll only need one sitter, not two.”

Mr. Johnson was impressed with his logic,
But this marriage idea was no longer funny.
He smiled and said, “That’s good thinking, Bruce;
But what are you gonna do for money?

“Why, Mr. Johnson, I get twelve-fifty a week allowance;
And let me remind you, Jennie also gets ten.
Throw in our birthdays and Christmas cash….
Why, we might even have money to lend.”

Desperate now, he thought,
“Next, I guess they’ll want a car.”
Then he asked, “But Bruce, what if you have kids?”
"Aawww," blushed Bruce... “We’ve been lucky so far.”

Crazy

My friends and I had midnight hide and seek
One had to stand by a tree and not peek
In my state of hiding great I was hard to find
My friends decided to just be unkind
They all got together and decided to hunt me down
I first hid in the river near my house and almost drown
When they walk close by me I silently move through the grass
It was very hard to see, but I crawled a long time and almost ran out of gas
Then I heard one say that they were going up and wait by the tree
I had an idea that made a way to make them see
A shadow that ran in the distance thinking that would be
I had my horse pull a little manikin to make them think it was me
My friends took their flashlight and shined it toward it
I thought I had them but one thing was clear they did not fall for it not a bit
They all laugh and started to call out my name
They all asked how the heck did you have time to pull that trick that was so lame
I did not answer so they kept on looking for me, but I was so quick
Some of my friends started to get really mad and tick
I was a master of doing weird things they all knew what I can do
The night was still young and the grass was collecting dew
I decided to make a distraction once again
To think of it, it would probably make the night end
My friends finally surrounded my tree house
I was quiet, so quiet, more than a mouse
I had some rope in the tree house to make my escape
To distract them I made a loud noise like an ape
The tree that my tree house was in was at least forty feet up
I had some stash in my tree house a drink or two in a cup
My final hour is about to end I did not want my friends to catch me till I got to the tree
I took the rope and tide it on a branch and pushed off and that was the key
I landed on the garage roof and sneaked my way to the tree
My friends knew me to well that they plan things before I could see
They had a fish net ready for me to step into
I thought that was kinda wise and some what like pew
The few feet by the tree there was two of my friends that was ready
Up in the tree they both jumped down and pulled me up in the net fast and steady
They thought they had won, the person had to tag me before I touch tree
She ended up having to get something to stand on to reach me
I swung my weight back and forth till I ended up touching and the game ended
My friends and I were so full of surprises and that is what the game handed

It's Fun , I run and I run

I almost can't bare it , I keep running for Fun.
This contest is crazy , I wanna be lazy
But I shall keep on running . I'm becoming hazy
I was told I would. I was told it was no Fun.
I decided to try it for the heck of it. It's so crazy.
Now I'm being Lazy and I 'm a little more hazy.
Never I again shall I . Enter a running contest not
Until the far away day. That I shall die. I keep running.
Sweat dripping all over the place. And it's covering my face
Oh Boy what a disgrace. I am almost there. And I of
course made it . Now I shall be even more Lazy

The Rising Red sun

Inspirational poem.. Rising Golden red sun all its way..dedicated to all
                               of you guys..wrote by Mrs.Madhavi.Suyog.Pagare

                                          The Rising Red sun

As like the charming moon and luminous star fades away.
It promises to send the dynamite sun shining in the sky.
Due to which oceano pearl glitters all the day.
Praying god for the happiness in all our way.

The morning sagas made me understand, Me and my vivacious life.
But When I look back and pick up the souvenir of my childhood. Its just nostalgic. Feel like to go back to the teenage. The sustained pain is the only option left that I can’t get those days of my innocence back.
All I could make up my mind and just say, move on. Just move on.

Ray of hope chimed my heart.
Because god gifted me Something and added in my cart.
Provided me and my sincerity towards work can’t depart.
From the very day uplifted to give a quick start.

The moment I realized the magnetising power of the sun.
Felt trust on it and renovated my life again by attenuating my pains.
Rest all I expect peace my thee.
Left with the ray of hope. Bless us MY god, My lord !!!!!

LET US ALL SAVE PEACE

I woke watching television news
The jet plane is soaring high note
Operation Sulu is launched forth
Until the intruders to get out
Malaysia always chose to peace
Come and let us all save peace

Philippines is wanting peace
For Sulu Archipelago is its part to ease
Sulu Royal Army chose to enter because of peace
They call homeland in the book pages
They decide to stay and die never ended
Many see this is not a good choice
But for them this is a pride to hold and take
Come and let us all save peace

For Malaysia also has to protect its state
Its sovereignty whether lives at stake
It has chosen the space to negotiate
And has given the time to withdraw in peace
But the “intruders” is hard to take the leave
Come and let us all save peace

Many children cried
Much wives shed tears
Every Mothers weep
Their love ones died but with pride
Our prayers to put ahead their faith
Come and let us all save peace

The eyes of the world where are you?
The humanitarian aid you have to do
Don’t you see the lives are here waiting?
The civilians need your helping
Do not wait until the time lapse to nothing
Come and let us all save peace and do something.

Come and let us all save peace
Take part and let us all save peace
Pray and let us all save peace
Where are you peace activists?
Come and let us all save peace
Let us all save peace!

A Mother's Love

For nine months I carried you beneath my heart
Felt you growing and moveing, feeling such Joy
Eagerly awiating your arrival, knowing you will soon
The day you were born was filled with happiness
As I held you in wonder, my little miracle, my little babe
Counting toes and fingers, seeing your little face
Love just bursting from my heart as I just gazed
I watched you grow in time, first smile, first tooth
Crawling, walking then running, always curious
Holding your hand walikng you to school on the first day
Taught you to ride a bike, picked you up when you fell
Kissing the hurt away, just to see you smile that pretty smile
Seeing you grow and mature, into a young adult
Starting high school, learning to drive, dating
Now here it is juinor year, one more year and your gone
To test your wings, to fly away and learn even more new things
I hope my love is enough to guide you on your way
To give you that sense you can do anything you set out to do
Always remember that I love you and you are my little one

Eyes of Seminary

Eyes of Seminary – Zamreen Zarook

Every day in our lives has different fragrance,
God give us various things in abundance,
Day by day knowledge is gained in accordance,
Things depend according to the attendance.

Two years of studies,
Helped us to come out with various abilities,
Extremely joyful moments with buddies,
But life said every aspect has its boundaries.

Teachers become very friendly,
They approach us very kindly,
They speak on us exaggeratedly,
Because they know, if not we might behave badly.

Big shots in the school boundary,
These are years of foundry,
It helped us to find and go for laundry,
Marvelous days, fully packed with sundry.

Various angles the kith and kins are civilized,
It’s because our knowledge is enhanced,
Guys and girls turned well experienced,
That’s why we call it levels of advanced.

Midnight Lullaby

I wrapped all my tears, to see you smile.
you are the best, always by my side.
I tell you my feelings will get you crying,
you must think I’m out of my mind.

You don’t know, what I know,
all the angels let me go.

We were born to teethe and die,
you will grow to be so fine.
Fall in love, feel your softer side,
Remember me when life is kind.

When you go, let me know,
don’t walk away like the world and go.

Life is rough and the world unkind,
fight them down and you will be fine.
The truth of live is a brutal sight,
make no mistakes, you can learn from mine.

You have a strong heart, you are unique
I treasure times when you smile at me.

Live the life, I could not find,
be there for me, when I say goodbye.

The Autumn Affect

There's something unspecific about the autumn nights
A certain shade of color that uplifts my inner child's eyes
Beside a cashmere moon Venus and Jupiter shine bright
Complimented by a sea of blinking infinite twilight
The scent of burning oak lingers in the air from home made fires
Reminiscent of a time when this man was just a child
Careless and so free to dream and any dream to live
Like feathers floating across a field carried by the wind
As a gentle breeze blows through the leaves shivering delightful gloom
Unlike flowers of springtime the disheveled autumn vibrance bloom
Leaves crackle beneath my feet along the skeleton tree path
Where I try to find my peace or a song to make me laugh
The air is so much crisper and also soothing when I breathe it in
Underneath a starry sky and brighter constellations of Heaven
Amidst the trail I pass a lovely couple holding hands
While their children run aside frolicking in a playful dance
An old man and his wife admire the view from a wooden bench
With smiles on their face as if nostalgia is still their closest friend
Its these specific autumn affects that bring me sorrows and joy
Reminding me of all theses things Ive wanted as a man since I was a little boy
Its times like these that I wish I wasn't always so alone
Because I would light an fire with my family and call it home

Blossoming

The Blossoming

Within shivers
Hot like
Ice
Hides he
Phantom yet
Passes her
Daily
Hides
She
So shyly
Dark tresses
Unsure
Within
This
Diamond like
Shines
She
Tentative
Within
New
Ability
Halls grow dark
And
Only
He
Haunts her
This want
Disco ball
Of tentatively
She
Walks within new
Wants
Cursed within
The
Exquisite
Like shards pang
Desperately
A lullaby
I can
No longer
Bring
Hold her so
Close
Yet so far
Away
This new life
For
In Solo
So
Exquisite
She sings

Final Adieu

Final Adieu

Let another sun set,
Let another flower wilt,
Let another autumn cast its gloom,
Let another tear role,
As ye part, and bid
The final adieu.

The number the brand

When I met her , a very old lady she was , yet inside lay a frightened child .
I felt my heart cry , I felt as if I was touching history itself , as I made this older lady, child, chai .

I remember the day , and so many tears I have cried
I have cried before she and I met
As a child , so many tears, left confused inside .

Not understanding Why , and how could we stand by and live our lives as if this never happened ?

It happened , we are left in dismay of the movies seen the accounts taken of History
My self ..I have caught stereotyping the very people whom did this to she , the rest of her Family erased .

The white candles we light , we try and forgive , or just simply block this pain out completely.

It occurs , over and over , as it has been said History will repeat .
When thinking of my children , when I think of that little girl losing , cold and scarred , feeling only defeat .

There is a lesson here and I pray , that all whom have been taken from life , have no pain and are gifted spirits throughout eternity . May they be warmed with love, and reunited with the ones they lost .

The first time I met her , her old hand I took and warmed it with mine , I held it for a long time .
You could not, but notice ..the Evil imprinted on skin , the Evil only to remind.
This very old Soul , in her eyes you could see .
The child that once lived , so innocently free, not aware yet, of the Hostility .

I speak of a Little girl, I speak of a old woman , I speak of a Jewish, chosen Religion.

There as I held her frail , old hand , a brand , a number stamped in Evil a long time ago . In 1945 , once in our distant, yet Frightening past .

We should never forget , never forget it happened , never forget all the names .
If we do , we have learned nothing , A World living in Shame .
                                " Etta Babooshka Kofman "

Infinity and beyond

Deserve the world my child,my son
If I could give, with heart I'd run
Pray instead, I must for you
Placed many tools to get you through
Life ahead unknown my son

So much I wish, your dreams ignite
Strive for all, please shine that light
Become the man I know you'll be
But please for you and not just me
Dig deep inside with every might

Strive for all thats due, you'll see
Deserving much from world, not me
Kindness, compassion, intelligence too
Owning these gifts, build confidence in you
By example, trust, live life for thee

Accept these words I give from me
My child, a man will come to be

For An Abused Child

If I Could Have Gotten Your Embryo
Before You Were Born
I Would Have Sheltered You Safely
and Protected Your Form ...

I'd Have Put You In My Womb
& Flowed You Knowledge Like In A Tubric
& Patted My Expanding Belly
As I Played You Music

And As You Got Ready
To Arrive From The Birth Canal
You Would've Known My Breasts
Would Be Ringing Like Welcome Bells! ...

Eager To Suckle You
Breast Feed My Own Flesh & Nourish
So You Could Grow Strong
... In Love's Encourage

I Would've Held You In Wonder
& So Close Tenderly
Amazed At This Little Bundle,
Breathing, Piece of Me ...

And When You Turned One
Or As You Sucked Your Thumb
Or Eating Baby Food Jars of Plums
... I'd Have Given You Trumpets & Drums

... And Building Alphabet Blocks
& Superman Capes
& Stuffed Teddy Bears
& Oatmeal Cookies & Grapes

I'd Have Read You Stories
From Capt. Adventure Books
You'd Have Known You Were Loved
By My Proud Mama Looks

I'd Have Spent Time With You
Showing You How To Tie Your Shoe
Rocked You If You Caught The Flu
or Any Sniffles You Went Through ...

I Would Have Played With You
& Prayed With You
From Crawling To Walking
Paved The Way For You

Yeah, I Would Have Fussed At You
& When Needed Even Spanked You Too
& I'd Meant: This Hurts Me More Than You
'Cause You're The Little Symbiot, Mama Grew

So, You Would Have Known
You Were Loved & Treasured
You Would Have Known
Your Worth Couldn't Be Measured

Nor Compared To Anyone Else
At Any Point In Time
'Cause You Are The Best
Because You Were "Mine"

* * * * * * *

But I Never Knew You
But Believe Me If I Had ...
I'd A Made Sure You Had
A Loving Mom & Dad

And You Would've Never Been Abused
Or Treated Bad ...
But From Now On Find Your Joy
To Replace What's Sad

Return Of Your King

Reflections of imperfections have shown me a way that I can move mountains through my power of faith even though I can't see him I know he is real through the power of prayer and a Love that I feel It's growing inside me like a flower in bloom shall I reveal my powers or is it too soon I am reading the signs through my darkness I find a reason for belief in the light of mankind that I know shall overcome the greatest of odds the Love I seek amazes me especially through the flaws because now I am inspired through the hero's that bring my throne through the darkness on which I return on as your King.

A Single Leaf Out of A Tree

A single leaf,
Falls out of a tree above me,
 As it twist and turn,
The wind blows it in my direction,
It symbolizes the ending point of my
struggles and all my pain,
It tells me that they twist and turn,
But never remain,
It takes a sudden fall next to me,
But why?
It symbolizes the thought of being
alone,
It tells me that someone is always
by my side,
As I write,
The leaf flies away,
As if it had a huge success in
incouragement,
Nature communicates with us in
many ways,
Not with words,
But with a single leaf out of a tree.

With This New Day

I have lived,
And felt the cost,
Paid my dues,
But I have lost_ You.

 Still I pray,
As chaos looms,
And as my blue turns into grey,
I hear__
The angels sing- In tune.

 Don't be giving in,
Don't give up my son,
Or fade away,
Lift your chin with the sun__ And rise,
With this new day!.

 I have lived,
And felt the cost of all my wonderin ways,
I've paid my dues,
I - Have lost you.

I can hear the angels sing,
Your in a mistaken land__ Lessons learned in truth,
As the grey seeks out the blue,
She will__ Your daughter my son---
She will return--- To You.

For I have lived,
Felt the cost of all my walkin days,
I've paid my dues,
I- Lost you....

I wont be giving in,
Won't give up my girl,
Or fade away,
I'll lift my chin with the sun---
And RISE--
With this new day...

Youth

Youth

When we were young nothing worried us at all
From spring through summer through winter and fall

We built forts from boxes some four feet high
We climbed trees like monkeys some went to the sky

We ate everything.. mud cookies and chocolate swirls
Made fun of freckles and cute little girls

Mean as a snake and happy you see
Didn't worry about anyone ever bothering me

Rode my bike for miles with my balloon muffler
Wrecked and chipped a tooth..but it made me tougher

One meal a day was plenty for me
A policeman a fireman was what I would be

My brother was taller my dad was too
They were giants and I thought that was cool

As I grew older more things began to shrink
As I grew older I really started to think

How nice it was to be so young and so carefree
Being that young then.... meant nothing to me

But now that I'm much older I look back and see
I'm still young at heart..a good ride for me

The unexpected

The man in the dark mask turns his head
To face the crowd with evil eyes,
The crowd cry out with screams of dread
But he carries on amidst their cries

As he emits a booming laugh,
Which seems to echo, through the night,
He carries on his reign of wrath,
And slaughters everyone in sight

But one small, frail, child
Decides the masked man will be beat
And runs though crowds with bodies piled
And kneels down at the masked mans feet

The rogue looks down with chilling eyes
Upon the small child on the floor
And as he wields his knife to strike
Lets out a sudden painful roar

Beneath his legs the child had crawled
And stabbed his spine with one small knife
And when the brutal man did fall
His throat was slit to end his life.

God Bless The Child

God Bless The Child
By Nate Spears
Published 2013 in “Death OF A Rose” By Nate Spears

God bless the child that see’s no evil
The child that digs within his soul
To survive unpleasing
With pain never easing; just teasing

God bless the child that clashes with the Titans
The child fighting for existence
Steady fighting relentless
Relentlessly,
Fighting the struggle
For what he believe is nothing
But he’s a child of god
So he’s blessed to be a front man

God bless the child that know not nothing
The child that comes to realize
That help’s not coming
Wondering the streets without a clue
Of what to do
Ignorance is all surrounding
Grief is all around them
Without any signs of peace

God bless the child that you conceive
Give them life
Give the strength
Let them find happiness in a world
Running thin on peace
May God bless
All his wonderful children.

I hope

I'm 51 today.
51 tomorrow, yay
Was 51 yesterday.
52 is months away,
And yes I'm thankful.
Although it's not my real birthday,
It kinda is in a certain way.
I'm still alive another day.
I had the notion to celebrate.
And be thankful.
Though it's not a holiday.
Thanksgiving has come and gone away,
I'm just alive today.
For that I'm thankful.
Honestly, I am not just trying to make these lines rhyme,
Or reflect upon the deep sublime.
I'm just grateful today to be alive.
I mean really thankful.
I'm not trying to wow you with philosophy,
Or impress you with theology.
It matters not at all to me.
I just feel thankful.
So tonight I take a walk outside,
I look up into the endless sky and then I breathe.
I breathe in deep,
And I say thank you.
And maybe not just to Who you think,
Man let's throw in the kitchen sink,
And include all who've touched my life, to whom I'm thankful.
Some of you I'm glad you're gone,
Frankly you stayed a bit too long
And some you the grave stole far too soon,
And yet I'm still thankful.
Today the living and the dead
You've both been right up inside my head,
And synergized this verbal thread.
For that I'm thankful.
I close my eyes and think of Tim, named David right there toward the end.
I always smile when I think of him,
And now I listen
I heard a siren going by,
I wonder who and wonder why,
Was it a wreck, did someone die?
Yet still I listen.
Neighbors dogs are going wild.
Was that the laughter of a child.
Seems like I can hear for miles.
Still I listen.
I hear the hi-way roar of cars.
Tho I have never heard the stars
Is there really life on Mars?
Shhh brain please shut up and listen!
The soft night whispers in my ears.
Pressing through my random fears,
I stand amazed at what I hear.
And now I wonder.
I open up my eyes and see as I feel this winter breeze
The silhouette of leafless trees.
I stand in wonder
Then I wonder about the first man to ever be,
Or the first time he looked up to see
The Milky Way the galaxies.
Did he wonder?
I wonder what he did
How he loved how he lived.
If he ever lost a friend?
Man oh man I wonder.
Was he the first to dig a grave?
How it sounded if he prayed?
How he fought?
How he played?
If that man could see us all today,
What would he say I wonder?
In ways was he a lot like me?
Did he sometimes fear what he could not see?
Did he create unseen walls
Of unbelief?
I stand and wonder.
Did he ever hurt the ones he loved?
Did life convince him not to trust?
I wonder.
My great grandfather lived
My DNA is shared with him.
I wonder how we are the same,
And I don't even know his name.
Still I wonder.
Will my great grand kids know my name?
Will it even matter who's to say?
Will they look up in wonder?
Will they listen?
Will they be thankful?
Not much I can leave to them
That would matter too much in the end.
I suppose the primal hope in man
Is the hope I hope lives on in them
I hope they wonder. About the universe.
I hope they listen. To life's unspoken verse.
I hope they're thankful. Even in midst of deepest hurts.
I hope they're thankful.
I hope they listen.
I hope they wonder.
And no matter what life hands them,
I hope they hope.

Message to You

Please dry your eyes, now don’t you cry...
Let me share with you a lullaby....
I used to tuck you into bed....
Back when you were young....and such a sleepy head....
Disappointments are many in this life we lead....
But I know you’re strong and will succeed....
Please trust in me for I have a message to send....
You will never back down or crack and bend....
It is your nature to love and be kind....
Negatives don’t linger in your mind....
You're still that little girl who once sat on my knee....
With those big blue eyes looking up at me....
So I would like to take this opportunity....
When there's not enough sun....and too much rain....
Lots of happiness, and very little pain....
Just like the moment, when my heart did sing....
With all the joy that you did bring....
To each, and every one of us....
Without any fret and not much fuss....
I am very proud of what you have become....
And all your accomplishments of what you’ve done....
Unconditional love will never go out of style....
When your tears can be replaced.....
With this Grandmothers’ smile....

The Man In The Mirror

I looked into the mirror today and was surprised to see an old man looking back at me.

It seems like it was only yesterday that the man in the mirror was searching through his full
head of thick black hair for that one strand his wife said was turning gray.

And, wasn’t it only last week that the mirror reflected the image of a young man trying to see
how noticeable the pimples were on his face before going out on his date?

It seems like only a month ago that the mirror displayed the sight of a boy looking very
closely for signs of a whisker on a smooth face where there were none to be found.

And, it couldn’t have been any more than a year ago that the mirror held the image of a
small child adjusting the baseball cap on his head to fit just like the one worn by his favorite
baseball star.

“What have you done with the faces of all those boys, teenagers, and young men that used
to look back at me”, I asked the old man.

“I have done nothing with those faces”, replied the stranger in the mirror. “You make the
mistake of expecting to see those faces on the surface of your own. Those faces are still
there, they are just reflected on different mediums.”

“The face of the small child in a baseball cap can be seen when you play a game of catch
with your grandson and the new baseball glove you gave him for his birthday.

The face of the boy looking for the first signs of a mustache and worrying about the
blemishes on his face comes out when you tease your nephews who are just now becoming
interested in girls.

And the image of that man canvassing his scalp to remove any signs of a gray hair is
apparent when you give advice to your grown children as they struggle with new careers,
new spouses, young children and the stresses that accompany these changes that will also
contribute to the graying of their hair.

It is all those faces, compiled into one that looks back upon you now.”

“Thank you”, I say to this wise old man. “That makes me feel much better knowing that
those faces are still there. And you are right; I do feel as if I display those faces at those
moments in time. I guess I just need to stop walking past mirrors and worrying about who
looks back at me.”

I walk away from the mirror, instinctively knowing that the reflection remains, smiling at me,
shaking his head and saying, “He’s such a kid.”

My Story Telling Can You Trust Me

Gun fire all around, bombs going off in the distance
It was some of the angry mobs and resistance
Father was the king of SafeHaven a small kingdom
Like all other kingdoms it fell in random
Fire started in the castle
And along with it came a battle

It was a distance memory now because the child has now grew
Many things in this child that made memories stew
My name is Mastrey, a young orphan who was there that night
Mastrey saw her in the distance and her father and mother in his sight
Everyone was loud that night and made all the children hide
But that evening Mastrey saw her mother and father die

She ran into the bushes in such a fright
And evil doers were running around with flashlights
Mastrey remember it as he distracted them
Her eyes was so confused with problems
Mastrey new that it was because of what just occurred
His feelings of what those people did was not awkward

The distraction worked, he went back to were she was
Hiding and very scared she was, he asked her, can you trust me just because?
Her answer that night depended on her lively hood
As Mastrey was their with his hand reaching out to her as he stood
Pulling her up from the ground he looked into her eyes that were SeaBlue
Mastrey had made a life long friend and love, She knew it was true

Unknown

Who am I?
Am I defined by what is near in sight?
Am I defined by what I have done,
Or am I defined by what I could become?

Perhaps I'm of no use.
To him, or her, or I, nor you.
Or perhaps I'm too misunderstood to be defined,
And it is something like understanding that comes in time.

And if to the world I'm never shown,
Yet in my own light I've grown and grown,
And so I can know no happiness but my own--
The reason for my smile, to you, will forever be unknown.

I do not pray for the world to know my name.
For it and verse; the letters are the same.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads,
I pray his pain my words to keep.

Should his eyes rain on my page,
Better tears than storms of rage.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads.
I pray his pain my words to keep.

And if to the world you're never shown,
Yet in your own light you've grown and grown,
And so you know no happiness but your own.
Let the reason for your smile, to you, only be known.

My Story Telling Who is this Princes

The night air made her feel tired
As she looked out side all the fences were wired
In the distance she hears crowds yelling
As she was to young to know they were rebelling
Father she asked where are we going?
Mother said to keep quiet and keep walking

Mother yelled in the night air
Father gave out a blank stare
They yelled run my princess run as far as you can
As that moment past her little feet pushed off and she ran
She ran to the nearest bushes and crawled into it to hide
She never smelled the air before as if someone just had died

As she lay on the ground under a bush she heard
A loud yell in the distance almost to absurd
My name is Angelica, I am just a young girl who does not know
Angelica just wants to live her life with help to grow
Angelica did not know what just happened she notice a figure in the distance
A little person just like her, a strong but gentle presence

Angelica saw the people who were shouting run off toward the voice
She was scared and she knew that she had to make a choice
Angelica fragile state was so confused and lost
She knew it will take burden on her at a cost
But in that moment of quietness a young but strong voice called out
Can you trust me just because? will you come with me with no doubt

Physically and Mentally Abuse

I was born in a world of poverty and soiled life of a third world country
The way I lived till I was five years of age was walls of boundary
These walls had towers of guards that had no heart or care
If a child would try to climb the wall they lose their life I swear

Father had drank and threatened my mother with a knife
My father lost his job and wife and that was the hardship of life
He stopped my mother from taking off with me in her arm
Hoping that my father would ignore and left me be with no harm

When my father went off to drink one night and came home with rage
My brothers stood by my crib and took a beating that set up the next stage
My father had woken up to three scared children half starved and in pain
His final words as he walk away from the orphanage gate live life do not go insane

I was still a baby in the orphanage; the caretakers did not really care about the babies
They stole items and materials those wicked men and maternal evil ladies
They starved all the babies because it cost a lot to keep them alive
As a child of that age I could feel the sins and greed that gave out bad vibes

I was ignorant about what I drank and ate, as I see white maggots move in my bottle
As I see them move I thought about how they were playing and some were hostel
They ate each other to keep each other alive in a manner that took me by surprise
In the back round I hear others throwing things with sounds of painful cries

I got very strong at a young age I was able to start pulling myself up over the cage
My feelings were to see my brothers with strong lungs that I cried out of rage
My two brothers came to see me and sneak food into my crib
The caretaker would find the food in my hands as they grabbed it and hit me on my ribs

As painful as it was I kept eating the food with blood in my mouth as it was instinct
I sometimes laid in my crib dazed and confused with smell of death so distinct
With all my might I kept myself strong and climb the small wall
I finally was old enough to get out of the building and I could hear my brothers call

With tears of joy with short legs that ran as fast as my heart
I ran to my brothers arms and held their hands to have a new start
I grew stronger everyday but more things came into my life in a manner of dismay
If my brothers stay by my side I could smile and everyday their would be okay

Malala Yousafzai

Malala Yousafzai,
a Pakistani school girl,
was shot in the head
because she wanted an education.
A cowardly brain dead camel humping
moronic rat bastard raghead nazi shot her
for that reason and that reason alone,
she is a female and she wanted
to obtain a decent education
and have a bright future in this
turbulent world in which we live.
Malala lived and is well on her way
to becoming a brilliant young spokeswoman
for the equality of opportunity for
girls and women all over the world.
I pray for her safety and continued success.
And may every warped brainless raghead nazi’s
sorry worthless soul burn in Hell for all eternity.

Sad girl rising

Sad girl rising

Let me tell you about this girl I know
My cousin, this girl be
Her life has been so very sad
But how wonderful is she
She was a wild child, till she married
And had her first born child
When she found out that his brain was damaged
It really drove her wild.

She took the Doctor through the courts
Then fought for ten long years
To get the money she deserved
And she cried so many tears
She gained a million pound at last
To help her with the lad
And yet the damage it was done
And it really drove her mad.

Her and her hubby cared for he
And gave their lives to him
It was a twenty four, seven job
But at times it got real grim
She would do just anything
To make his life more sweet
But when she got that Parkinson’s
She was close on to defeat

But no, she struggled with the odds
And though it’s ten years on
Never does this girl give up
When all her hope seems gone
She smiles, and carries on with courage
Like I’ve never seen before
She’s something kind of wonderful
She’s a hero, that’s for sure.

The River home

It was a home on the river we lived .
It was the ghost of a young man whom had taken his own life.

I still remember the vision of him walking by me with a blank stare
We, as a Family of seven , moved into this river house
Panoramic views right out to the river , I should mention

I was home alone as a child , looking out at "The Julia Belle Swan " as she went by .
Upstairs in that room as I saw a figure walking by , with very nice features , auburn hair
I thought he was my older brother , a handsome young guy

Then I realized the young man was not my brother , a apparition he appeared .
He was not there to scare or frighten ,
the message I believe he wanted to shed light on, so clear.

He walked right by ,then disappeared through the window, out to the River .

The Ghost knew I could see him , a gift I have been given
when I was a younger child of five , I had once died for a short time. I was lifted by Jesus in Heaven . Death is not for us to decide .

Later in the years we moved from that home , every home we lived in had a story
or a presence of its own . My Mother had told me later , a young man took his life there .

Keep fighting your way through life and its despair ,
you are important to someone whom cares . If you feel alone and want life to end , Please pick up the phone , call anyone , call for help , call a Friend .

"This is not fiction , it truly is a gift I have been given "

'Give me drink, rest, and solitude'

Give me drink, rest, and solitude--
these are all the things I long for.
Give me as well your finest food
and I'll ask of you, lass, no more!

My bonnie lass, what's the matter--
why are you all sorry and alone?
Don't be sad because you're fatter
than most, lass, for love loves its own.

Sweet lass, I'll tell you a secret.
If I were a young lad again,
I'd pursue you without regret!
But as I am three-score and ten

years old, indeed, I can never
be the youthful lad you most need.
But your pain won't be for ever:
for your heart will refuse to bleed.

His Tail wavy like a dog he strides. Tall but yet low.

Living Under The Weight Of A Label

The blind leading the blind, what is seen is how its heard
the thoughts that make the story are lost behind the words
do you see it as you view it, or take a deeper look
do you read into the narrative or judge the cover of the book

Is the figure cold and dirty, the shell of what he's made
or the unforgiven soul, that is waiting to be saved
does that body clad so poorly hold more than what is shown
or just another mannequin, that has reaped just what was sown

Did you spare a dollar this morning or was your vision blind
or was that lonesome beggar just in the shadows of your mind
you see that youth with his hooded clothes and jeans hung round his waist
could he be a high school scholar or does his style not suit your taste

That girl there, with the pushchair, yes she has a name
does she love the child she carried, or did she play a stupid game
And that solemn face behind the bars, the prisoner to his crime
Or the broken life held captive and the victim of a lie

That woman in the wheelchair, animated by expression
does she really have no hopes and dreams or are you too deaf to listen
that classy car, the modest tie, the briefcase at his side
is there a dark deceitful truth, buried deep beneath his pride

no life ahead with a dead end job, shovelling gruel from a grease filled tray
or the maturing child of a broken home, paying bills 'mum' couldn't pay
two babies need to find new homes, is it proof she couldn't cope
or could she not make the perfect life so instead she gave them hope

So they live on a rough estate, they're deviant thieving 'yobs'
and see their buttoned shirts and ties, they're private school 'snobs'
do you just see flecks of peeling paint, view this canvas as a whole
or define each stroke of the artists brush that reach right to the soul

If opportunity played a fairer game and made judgement realise
then possibility could do its part, allow wisdom to remove disguise
yet with judgement passed and truth unseen, realisation is unable
to protect our children and ourselves 'living under the weight of a label'

Just a day
“Good Night Mom and Dad” I said before I went to bed. “We love you” they said as they closed the door
Mom comes in and wakes me up “Time to go to school” as my feet hit the floor
I got dressed and ate breakfast and got my book bag and now we are on the go
We sit in the car listening to music “It’s Friday I think I’m a little excited tho
“Alright baby we here” as mom open the door to let me get out
She closed the door and kissed me on the head told me she loved me before she pulled off
Another day of school and it close to Christmas
I can’t wait to see Ashley and Alexus, today is show and tell as I said in a whisper
We had learning center day and Boy! Was it fun!
Today was a free day and on Friday there isn’t much to learn
The room was quite when the was a knock at the door, the door opened
A man with a big gun was standing there; my classmates panicked and started to run
I heard a lot of noises and a lot of screams
I felt a sharp pain in my back as I dropped to my knees
In the distant I heard more screams and then everything went silent
Then I closed my eyes it went dark and on the cold floor I was dying
The other side
It’s Thursday night and off to bed we go
I kiss my 5 year old son Jaden and told him I loved him so
Alarm clock goes off and it’s around 6:15 in the morning
I shower got dress and woke up Jaden my little darling
Its Friday, I fixed him breakfast and we headed out for the this last day until the weekend
I enjoyed our little drives to school as we sat in the car singing
I opened the door to let him out once more
Kissed him on the head and told him I loved him ill pick him up around four
I’m at work drinking coffee just talked to my husband on the phone
Got at my desk started to work and the my office phone rung
It’s about 9:30 and it was Jaden’s school
I got the news he was dead and I started to puke
I’m crying uncontrollably don’t know my next move
My son is dead, I can’t believe this news
I hurried to the school in the best of my ability
I saw the school surrounded by medics, reporters, and police
I ran to a officer and demanded to see my son
He said “I’m sorry ma’am” I can’t do this at this time
At 9:32 my one and only son Jaden was pronounced dead
The shooter was 20 and took my son’s life in his own hands
The questions continue to flow through my head as I search for answers
I don’t need answers I need my son and his laughter
I am now sitting on his bed trying to swallow tears
My husband holds me close as reality nears
My little boy is gone among the other 19 kids
Heaven has 20 new angels now I hope he knew how much I love him as much as I did

Padding claws, death in white
Sorrow in recurring nightmare

Ominous slowly moving silence,
“Let me in, there’s a bear out here!”

Observer

A serpent underneath blue sky,
in shade of man, in twinkle of an eye,
above brick wall, in the structure, at the floor,
venom of white dove; contaminated food, undrinkable water,
misguided youth, pregnant daughter, unfaithful father and hateful son,
mothers do pray while we walk through Babylon;
on teli and in the press, on top shells,
price none the less, in bedroom and at your door..
dawn of a new day seemed to be dark,
after all.

Flowers
Not named
Unknown to those with no curiosity
Buds, that dream of one day blooming
Being, more than they are
Flowers living
Being
Thriving
Touched by those who love
Protected by those who wish to love
Wishing to be more than they are
Buds, not truly knowing if they are ready for the world
Hoping they are strong enough
Wishing to be the best

The Swan

The peaceful, humble beauty
of a white lily drifting on reflective night
hums a sweet melody
of contrasting light.

Trusting the darkness
to be his throne
and the moon of loneliness
to crown his soft, unheard moan.

I watch from bushes of scorn
that mock him cruelly.
His fragile crest is pierced by the thorn
of rejection and bleeds its sorrows silently.

The rejected jewels of nature are mourning
for the king of the skies to raise his wings
but he can't see beyond remembering
and can't see past the thorn's stings.

Oh, scarred heart of grace,
spread strenght and flee with wild freedom
unto priceless solace
away from this desolate kingdom.

Oh, jewel in creation's crown,
look not to stirred reflection
for it is mere perversion, a frown,
of the white rose of perfection.

Go now, leave behind only
a legacy of despised beauty.

Dedication To All Those Who Feel Lost

When you are far from home,
Never give up on life,
Cause your family,
Will always be with you,
In you caring heart,
Even when the times,
Get difficult and tough,
And make you want to give up,
They are always there,
For you to turn too,
And show you a way,
To find the peace,
And happiness you need,
In your caring and loving life,
So that one day,
You will find the true love,
That you most certainly deserve,
For that loving heart,
Which is a true fact,
It is a very big heart that cares,
For more than just the person you are,
But those around you,
And the family you have in your life.

Soon

She has become
Like a thin Chinese tea cup
Placed upon a large rock
She has become… fragile
Afraid to go anywhere
Least she break

She sits outside
When the weather is clear
Reading the same book
She has read for many years
Painfully turning the pages
With crooked fingers

Occasionally
I see her smile
As the lines on her face
Seem to multiply ten fold
While she tries to remember
Why she is smiling

When the cooler weather
Dances around her
She wears a long soft scarf
Wrapped many times
Around her neck
To keep the cold away

Sometimes
She will ask me
"When will my friends
Be coming by?"
And I sit next to her
Hold her hand
And say to her
Soon Grandma… soon

From Then To Now

Hand in hand we walked
together into Reception
Nothing could stop us and
together we were three
James and I LARP-ed Doctor
Who for fun
We talked and laughed for
hours
Because no stress was in our
way
Anna and I smiled and laughed
And jumped on our bouncy
castle
With nothing dividing us.

Side by side we walked
together into Year 6
Some stranger stopped them to
talk and broken we were alone
James and I talked about
Doctor Who for fun
And we talked and kissed for
hours
But misunderstanding broke us
up
Anna and I still smiled and
laughed
And joked about our bouncy
castle
But secondary school was going
to divide us.

With no one there I walked
alone into Year 7
And a stranger became my
friend and together we were
two
Violet and I both loved Doctor
Who
And James found Dominic
So James and I talked for mere
minutes
And school started pulling us
apart
Anna and I still laughed and
smiled
Still promising to be friends
Never letting it divide us

Suffocating and drowning I
walked into Year 9
Hating how I was and feeling
alone
Katie and Chloe were so pretty
And Violet so funny and all
were better than me
James and I hardly talked or
saw each other
But we still made the most of
our friendship
As we were like family, stress
couldn’t break us apart
Anna and I laughed but I did
not smile genuinely
Because the bouncy castle was
long gone
And our schools were beginning
to divide us

Dead yet breathing I stand
right now
And I hate who am I and every
single detail
Fights broke us up and pulled
us apart
So I can feel Katie, Violet and
Chloe
Falling further out my reach
James moved house to a place
unknown
And blamed me for never
talking to him
But really it was because of my
ex who was a girl
It was for something beyond
my control
Anna and I were still friends;
only by a thread
As she did not know about me
And how school broke me apart

So this is me now; I’m all alone
No longer the smiling young girl
of reception
The only person talking to me
is me
And the voice in side my head
You see; they all left me and
always will
So now the only call I answer
Is that of my blades
And the darkness
That is constantly
Pulling me
Down

Regaining power

Regaining Power.

He walks a lonely road, with his head there in the clouds
And he doesn’t even notice passing strangers
He’s been here ‘bout a thousand years forever all alone
And he’s always looking out for passing danger.

Invisible sometimes he feels, so he tries to seek the glory
As the child calls out in panic “I am here
They have taken all my power so my blossom will not flower
And all around I’ve built a wall of fear

But it’s his pain it is his game
As he prowls around his cage
He lives in vain, is he insane?
And fear ignites his rage.

The truth be plain, the lions mane is what he must acquire
The little boy he must regain his power
And tell the world “I’m here, I’m here” and feed the burning fire
It would take this much to open up his flower.

It use to be me
Who told you goodnight
It use to be me
Who asked you to stay
And lay here beside me
Till I drift away
But now there's another
Whose heart that you need
Who only needs grandma
To comfort his weeps

It use to be me
Now, a son that's too old
To walk with your hand
When I feel all alone
It use to be me
Who ran to your arms
Now another has comfort
Safe from all harm
From a son I am grateful
What you've given my child
But it use to be me
Who brought you a smile
So I hope he remembers
What these memories mean
That it use to be me
But time never sleeps

Show me who you are and i shall paint out broken columns on the valleys of her back as if such figure is un-common
i have found no beauty bending as the vines that are her hair and the frailty of man upon her back is what she bares
bleed her body for the harvest let them feast upon her soul for the nurishment of mother is leaps beyond so bold
she is like the flower growing in the deepest of dark forests, amongst the ivy and hemlock but her skin is much too porous
to concern herself with games that tantalize the men, as they marry on crusade it is her children that she tends
sheath your swords with her ambition and tip your arrows with her will, craft your armour from her strength and in the battle you will kill
come now children from the pasture and lay each upon her side, suckle gently at your mother although theirs pain she does not hide
though the water leaks from rooftops her leaves are thick and block the rain, as the water level rises cling to her branches with no shame
she is the stone upon the beach, once a mountain pound and breached
yet still her disposition clear to love her children that are near

Gift Of Mortality

An earthly existence
A universe beyond my minds, comprehension
I die
I rise
Life lessons reviewed
Homeward bound
I am not lost, after all!
I am a willing participant
Serving, the Father, of all creation
His son combined, ‘producing life’ as we know it
Representing them, in everything I do
I am nothing, without Love!
My heart full of faith, loyal service I give
Learning how to unconditionally serve, as the Father unconditionally, loves me
Worshipping our Divine Creator’s existence
Choosing to live, moment to moment
Being as one with ‘Our Universal Father’
No physical permanency
My physicality, disappearing
My mortality existence, I let go of
Death temporary
My spirit alive!
Relief, Peace
‘I am only passing through!’
A unique, experience of mortality
A gift, I am blessed to experience, to live!

The Soul Shatters

The soul shatters upon death. Sentience fractures into a million variables that swirl chaotically into piercing eyes that melt into the color sadness, spinning into galaxies that shrink to the size of ants and you twirl in a blender of being for eternities until finally, at long last, something sticks. Perhaps it may be as simple as a strand of hair, nonetheless all possibility spins around it, flashing contradictions of rainbow transparencies, empty solids and polka dotted space, continuing until a second hair joins the first, clutching to the nothingness and refusing to move. Soon thousands of hairs arrive and synchronize above a scalp unto a face, torso, limbs… materializing ever faster… and at once you are born. And just as the memory of your trial and error experiments and prior life evaporate, you embrace the arms of a stranger, gazing into her eyes, hung between this world and the next… sobbing in a fit of omniscience, in awe of your hard earned shape.

Close the Door, wer'e such silly kid's everyone of us~We get hurt keep it in then move on~ push communication

plum to the side. It's like a soda that's been shaken once the lid's off it explodes. If we don't deal with our feelings,

Where the Heck do you think they go?? A gentle hand is what our God really want's us to extend Don't Let the

Devil invade your Soul till you have nowhere else to go. We wonder why our children show up in school toting guns

It's because they're afraid~They are scared Theyre ALONE!

I'm looking into you and I see myself so deep within~Your a Beautiful~Shining~Spirit~Don't let the Devil get his

Muse. He's see's the flicker of a shine and it makes his heart quake and shiver deep inside. He know's his Doom and his Throne is only in place for a short time He want's to taste Now the Best & finest of the Wines. Don't worry sweet child Our

God's promises will eventually come true. We just have to guide, Love ,Teach,Retrain what it means to Truly be Kind.

Love each other Look beyond just.Me~Me~Me! We get so caught up in this world sometimes we just don't know what

to Do!

Love~Love~Love~ That's the Motto I Like to Live by. There for a time I got so lost and confused Then My wonderful god

Gently~Reached out and touched my hand~Said child You've known there's alway's been I that would understand. Now Let me Show you True Love and Let me Gently guide, softly~yet~firmly, reteach, and show you your misguided ways if you'd open your eyes you'd really see there's so much work you could do. Stop rotting your Brain and coming up with

all this Bad~Self tallk and more suffered abuse. Open your eyes Be Authintic~Be Real~Don't be a Pushover~ Remove The bitterness and anger inside your Soul its not yours to keep child I told you to let that GO! But forgive and Know how to Love VERY Well. Walk in the ways you think Jesus would do~Remember all the Torture~ The pain~ Mistrust~and abuse he went through for You.

God has given us Life so Precious and Rare, So many Beautiful things that we just can't explain~Its time that we open up

and try and save this world~That's now my mission in life~I won't stop till I reach my Goal I will be part of God's Soldiers

I have nothing to hide I'm all about Truth So Devil Let's lay it on the line. This girl will be Turning your wines into Fire~The ones that I reach you'll no longer Drink from. So if you see me you better turn the corner & Run! It's Red against Red Let's Fight~Fire with Fire~ God's got many soldiers who'll stand right along beside me if I need them to!With my God no longer am I afraid of YOU!

Drifting Mainly

You belong to me mate ( Intro )
And that be that!
Get on board
And grab your hat!

The ship was aghast at its new passenger	( Verse )
Like disdain for the lives that they now left behind,
Newcomers were scarce
And they never would last
But I held up my chin nice and high.

The bloke who took me screamed	( Pre-chorus )
“Mop up the deck we’ve got things to do!”
But I said sir,
I’m just a boy and don’t know what’s to do.

And he said ( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shores
Taking what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Taking the seas for more than eight moons
We found islands and loot
That was bigger than most.
The taste of sea air
With its wind in my hair
Took me away to this new life I lead.

After mopping the deck
He grabbed my hand and screamed
 “Steer this ship boy!”
But I said sir,
I’m just a lad and don’t know where to go.

So the crew yelled	( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shore
Taking what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Surprising to me
Was my unshaven face
The captain looked on
And smiled with grace,
We stopped at a place
Where the women were loose and didn’t mind
If we took a peak.

He said “Now you’re a man so let’s get on that boat,
We got places to be and some people to rope,
So grab that sword and drop that mop
Cause you’re no longer a boy in my eyes.”

I practiced the duel with the men in the crew
The captain took eye to my devilish pride,
And he took me aside and said
“Even in death I’m gonna miss you boy
But don’t let it strike you
Or kill your spirits
Cause even time can beat out the Grim.”

Then in the darkness came fire and screams,
Our vessel had stopped after fourteen years,
The crew fought hard and beat most of the men
But now, my Captain was dead.

We took the new ship watching ours sink deep
Saying goodbye to our drowning escape,
The crew turned towards me and asked
“What do we do?” and I smiled,
And they did to.

And we yelled ( Chorus )
“Drifting mainly
Sailin the shores
Takin what’s mine
And leaving what’s yours
Cause you know, we ain’t dead yet.”

Skin Deep

Achilles' heel
You’re another day older
The world’s much colder
She…

It’s not your fault
They were taken
Don’t blame yourself
for God’s mistake
Is…

Her beauty reflects your own
Her life reflects your future
Chasing rabbits will get you there faster
Loss of faith will bring you there faster
Watching…

The ball drops
It’s clever to see
What happens to us
And here we are
Waiting…

Yes,
Take the evil out of this
You’re stronger
She’s stronger and always,
Loving…

Australia, my destiny

Australia, my destiny

When I was just a tiny lad
I met my uncle Will
He hailed from West Australia
And my mind he did fill
With stories of the Kangaroos
And all of its wild life
I knew that I would live there someday
When ere the time was rife.

When I was just a teenager
I met a fine young girl
She hailed from West Australia
And put me in a whirl
As she spoke to me about this land
Where now I choose to dwell
We married and she brought me here
To this land I love so well.

When I arrived in this great land
It felt like paradise
Oh, I could never live back home
Nay, not for any price
It must have been my destiny
To come to this fine country
Where everything is so laid back
And feels so very free.

Come and Go Chicago

Come and Go Chicago – Zamreen Zarook

Where are you going my lady?
Where are you from my sweetie?
What ever you ask my buddy,
You won’t get the paddy.

She became a liar,
Because of your chore,
Two questions that you murmur,
Master, don’t forget that you were the rear.

You became a sinner,
Without knowing what is inner,
Now you know the manner,
So, never to forget the dinner.

Cease to care for those questions,
Nothing you gain from the considerations,
Everyone has their own equations,
So,they do have their explanations.

Someone Elses Life

I feel like I'm living someone elses life, a life in strife. I've been strong, but when will I belong. I feel so alone, but I'm doing ok on my own. I can't describe the pain, but I keep in mind every storm runs outa rain. I use to think our love was unbeatable, but really its unforgettable. Everyday I walk down memory lane, trying to ignore the pain. He crosses my mind everyday, when will all this go away. There's gotta be something more, my heart is becoming sore. My momma doesn't have to worry, because I'm not sorry. I know he made the mistake, and he's the reason I have this heartache. What we had, was bad. I shouldn't have let it go that far, your just another scar.

Son, I know you by heart

My memory fades like an early morning fog
But you my son I know by heart
The impossible miles you alone have trod
An uphill climb from first breaths start

Fluid filled those vacant places
Where only your brain should have claimed
Of a viable life the prediction was traces
For a life that would be horribly lame

Those Doctors didn't conceive you
You were mine from beginning to end
I said "he's my son not a knot to undo
When termination was suggested and penned

I loved you then and I know you now
Every obstacle you've overcome
A 3.7 GPA you've made it to manhood somehow
I knew to that prognosis you would never succumb

Of every therapy under the sun
You would never quit or complain
Though your struggles were bitter and stung
You took pride in the promise of your name

Josiah - Healed by God -
A humble man in the kingdom of men
Now I see you promised to a beauty
The wife I hoped for you then

Soon your quest to be a teacher
When you've earned your final degrees
In the eyes of our future you'll be a leader
The proof of what belief can achieve

Your spirit is tenderness
Your ways are sweet
You abound in being real and generous
And acquire the love of all that you meet

My son with eyes filled of turquoise and brown
Know this... if my memory entirely in time depart
My pride in you will forbear my lips to frown
For my son, I know you by heart!

Why

Twenty brand new angels
arrived just yesterday.
Frightened and confused
they only wished to stay

with parents now left empty,
and shattered beyond belief.
Their babies’ precious little lives
stolen by a spineless thief

with evil in his heart,
and killing on his mind.
Dear God where are you now?
It’s getting hard to find

a reason for the carnage,
and the acts of the insane.
Can we still find eternal love
surrounded by such pain?

Now twenty brand new angels
who only yesterday did die,
and with them, too, the innocence.
Why, dear God, why?

for the Sandy Hook children. RIP.

Good Morning, Apocalypse Now : A Tribute to a Vietnam Veteran

Untitled 5
(My Uncle: Good Morning, Apocalypse Now)

My uncle doesn't speak much
about Vietnam or the stuff
he witnessed when he
was just a boy. See,
he likes to drive the back roads fast
and honk at random cars that pass.
His friendly gestures always lead to how
he grew up compared to kids now.

Jumping and racing trains on the tracks
became dodging bullets and carrying his buddy on his back.
The marshes and dirt valleys here
became the forests and trenches of the military frontier.

Last year, my sister donned his jacket
a fatigued fatigue that hung in his closet.
In color and memory darkened,
kept out of sight for fear it would harken
the PTSD he's stuggled to avoid.

He saw his brothers, young like him
to Vietnam succumb
while on American soil
and he promised he would never speak,
for fear his stomach would coil,
when remembering rice - a dish he no longer enjoys.
And there's no orange on his clothes to remind him of the agent that destroyed.

When he speaks a calm
"Good morning", I wonder if he's thinking of Vietnam
or if he knows
that I admire his strength and
bravery and how
he continually fights against
the "Apocalypse Now".

Letter to My Inner Child

My child I cry when I see you,
your face just points to the wall.
My emotional senses feel you,
Do you now hear my call?

The abuse you suffered when younger,
is past, it's over and gone.
Please forgive the people who hurt you,
Come to terms with all that was wrong.

It was Ok to have felt unhappy,
It was then that you traveled alone.
But now you've grown much older,
you're the best person I have ever known.

Awaken the mind that is within you,
be at peace in your world, that is 'Now',
I know I don't have all the answers,
I can only advise on the how.

Your journey now begins with a footstep,
the way will be hilly, quite tough,
But go this way, be happy,
content you go with my love.

She Never Hears

Through pain,
Through sorrow,
Through a lonely nights tears.

No warmth,
No love,
Only cold lifeless fear.

The locking
Of a door,
Sends your heart on a deep plummet.

In the darkness,
In the room,
Your anger summits.

Somewhere not far,
She plays a computer game,
Ignoring your screams of her name.

For in this horror,
In this nightmear,
You know it will always be the same.

She never hears anything.

Scars of an Inner Child

You are not the man, you want to be
You said you were my Father, till, I discovered different
Enduring, daily beatings
Bashing the living day lights, out of a woman and a child
Repetitive, bad ass attitude, nasty streak
Mean and aggressive!
Fists, knives and guns, your weapons of chose
Out of control, abusive, devious
Relentless, over – bearing!
Breaking me, piece by piece
Confusing a child, with unhealthy love
Hand fed your bullshit, brain washed
Using me as your human, punching bag
This innocent child’s blood, staining your callas hands
My child’s curiosity, asking you one day
“Why do you hurt me and Mum?”
Your retort: “I am not your blood!”
I didn't understand, back then
Now, as an adult, I clearly understand!
Believe me, when I say
There was never a day that went past
That you didn't remind me of that!
My freedom, restrained
My sanity, tested
Caged, like a wild bird in captivity
Behind bars, looking out
Here, I am today, free from your grip
Nursing, this inner child’s, bleeding love

A Child Is Born

A CHILD is born, a robber is born, a destroyer
Where shall we shelter him
What shall we put out of sight from him
What shall we instruct him
Man is what he chooses to be
A child should train good morals
Children will learn by mitigation
Use good words in their presence
Practice love
Let him watch and learn
A child born is trained good morals
And when he is a man he makes a choice
What he says he has heard it home
As you do for your ancestors
Your children will do for you
Give child wisdom
Use good words in their presence
Give them what they ought to have
Teach them love
Demonstrate to them love
Put into practice love
A child should train good morals
A child brought up where there is always dancing
Cannot fail to dance

74 Seconds

~~This poem contains 74 syllables~~enjoy!!

The sun rays caresses my eyesight

If I… had an interview with the sun,
Would it last about 74 seconds?

Will it count as an eloquent conversation?

Why does the sun have so many layers?

If I… could have a vacation in space,
Many things would catch my eye – the sun
Would make me BLIND!

soul dance

spinning round and round till i fly up
and hit ground
turning into sea
pleasing me
i grab the bass fish gliding past
free
i dive into the eyes of the brown green scales
head first never fails
in the soul of the beast i sit
bare
my locks float around the fish shell
his hearts beat started to move me
onto my feet
bend my knees
shake my hips
rattle my brain
clap my hands
the soul of the fish is where i spend the rest of my plans

A Blue Boy's Death Wish

A fragile mind breaks
Wake upon the rock laden shores
A muffled heart begs to echo
Whispers lost among a velvet chamber

Dusk comes premature time and again
Dropping the curtain on an optimistic sunrise
If you never witness dawn
There is no tomorrow

Always the dreamer aches
Never awake to make real what he desires
The restless corpse walks blind
Dead ends seem fitting for one of the kind

Lost in the labyrinth of strangling vines
Love is the motive and the weapon
Taking root in throats dry from weeping
Sprouts of amnesia in place of smiles
A garden called heartbreak holds onlookers captive
The comfort takes hold, sets in the bones weary of searching
A plea for rest lands on deaf ears

The hollow boy tires of himself
The last request he will ever make
"End me"
Lost and tired
He wishes to be weak no more

The World I Know Living In Black And White

the world i know isnt like the world you have been raised in all your life
This world is darker. more in depth with the outer dimensions
this world only has one person
Everything else isnt living.. they are ghost
this world is like a disturbed painting
When everything in your perfect little world
 is forced upside down
 Things get bent or twisted
In your world people are seen for whats on the outside
In my world its bent the other way around
 You see their inner ugliness
 Becoming their outer beauty
When you see someone giving money to a poor child for food in your world
I see a man trying to kidnap a child, beat him, and force sex with him
My world is a lot more serious then yours
Your world Is a lot more pathetic then mine

Always Kiss Me Goodnight

Tuck me in and tell me I’m your little princess.
Kiss me on the cheek to let me know that I’m safe.
Sing me a soft lullaby in a low voice.
Tell me the story of when I was younger
and would craw behind the couches and you and mom couldn’t find me.
Sit down next to me on my bed and say I’m growing up so fast.
Tell me that I can be anything I want to be when I’m older.
Brush my stringy hair with your finger tips to help me fall asleep.
Smile at me with all your pearly whites and say it time for bed.
Before you get up to turn out the lights,
Say that you love me, and kiss me on my forehead.
Always kiss me goodnight.

Holy Is The Lamb

Holy is the lamb
We should be as thee oh holy is thy lamb
For now we to have the price of sin cleanse by the blood of the lamb
All who believe in him will be wash clean by the blood of thy lamb
When a babe is born into this world it is not without sin but do not fear
There is hope if they believe in the holy lamb he will cleanse them too
Make all things new
As that child grows up and continues to pray and ask forgiveness everyday
and doesn't stray stay in faith to the holy lamb
There will be a place in his kingdom for them saint Peter will open the gate
wide and say come in with pride my holy lamb your work on earth is done
Come home oh holy, holy lamb come, come inside

Homeless food

                                              In a cipher of poverty
                                        These rich words postpone hunger
                                   Feed a famine
                               While a sole dies
I examine its corpse lying there
While I am elevated with the glue that killed it
                History made my days ugly
Touched my pen to wrestle anger
This bread I inhale repairs my lungs as I get glued on with a smile that makes me meet my maker in person
Legalize the glue so I can sniff the truth
Legalize the glue so I can sniff the truth

Tough As Nails

Hopeful doesn’t mean stupid
That doesn’t mean I wasn’t stupid
I was in a state and messed up
Simple as that.

I could dramatize
Spill all the stars from my eyes and mouth and cry out for answers but,
I won’t.
My spirit can dance alone.
A lapse in judgement will not throw it off beat because it dances to a cosmic drum. My heartbeat and no one else’s.

Dropped my shield
Set myself on fire
Burned up a daft dream
And fell to ashes.

I’ve proven to relate to the phoenix
Both of us know what it’s like to die a quick death and come back stronger
Time and time again
Our ashes swirl into the manifestation of our desires and in that I find my comfort.

Boulders
Hard topped, granite counters
Tough as nails kid
But kid is man or at least he pretends to be.

Smart phones aren’t so smart but, I’m writing this on one
Sedatives and sad, country music mood swims through my veins.

Excuse me, while I go have a drink with that phoenix.

Generation

V: You say that you know
But I don’t
Its nothing

Slow to the know
Fast to give up
Not something

C: You bask in that
Pitiful delusion
Hold my hand to the sky
Will it wake?

V: The children want
But they don’t
They crave

Fast to the end
Quick to step off
To the early grave

Sad Sightings

today i saw what i feel what was real was not real neither was the idea. Brains shot down in the street like dogs because the veil is still worn on the face. No man know the time when it will all be real. You ever heard of people praying for worse days. As i sit in my maze wondering where the last step took the next, i begin to see that there is epoh some call it hope i see it as something else. i see it just like you saw that ferrari in your drive ways a few minutes ago. time flies so what does the past do? the future must not be too far from the present. As the leaves fall from the tree, i sit and wonder if it will ever grow back. now that i feel that im being watched, its time to return the stolen goods. people say take things to the grave, other leave it above. when i die all i need to do is just hold on because i know shortly i will be home. As you read the spaces between my words remember to fill up before you run out of gas in the worst place you dont wanna be with the night.....

Seasoned Child

A seasoned child with a voice to hear,
A voice that echoes through hearts and mind,
Her innocence shattered, but not through fear,
The perpetrators will pay their fine.
Her courage carries her through life,
And no one now will dare forget,
The echoes that will always strive
To change the fortunes of regret.
They cry too soon, “She’s gone away…”
Beneath the tears, you hear her breathe,
They pray to God and hope they may
Never see the country seethe.
The country’s hopes are carried on
The shoulders of this seasoned child,
With a voice that thunders at dawn,
This land of hers has been beguiled.

Beautiful Children

Singing around in love;
Smiles built from the ground.
Holding hands in the dance;
Laughing with brothers and sisters,
All in His Glorious Name.
Throughout His perfectly sculpted land:
Look around because this is it;
Look around because this is love;
Look around and know, understand, comprehend,
Rejoice because you are perfect;
You are God's beautiful children!

The Paper Samurai

I wrote this to an illustration I created of this character. Origami the Paper
Samurai, was intended to mimic 'Flat Stanley' and show solidarity among children
and parents against bullying. Perhaps if everyone showed support against this
bad behavior, by token of wearing this small Samurai, Would-be bullies might
reconsider their numbers.

I am everywhere you go
And there is one thing you should know
When you need me, I will be there
That's no lie
I'll fight for you and me
And all that we can be
I am more, than just a Paper Samurai

Origami, Origami
I am all for you and you are all my army

When trouble comes to us
And Bullies cause a fuss
They will see the Samurai within our eye
They may push us, they may shove us
But they will never rise above us
May the last words that they hear, is our "BONSAI"

When, we are doing good
Helping others, like we should
There's no reason in the world, we should cry
The paper we will fold, and the story, will be told
I'm Origami, Your Paper Samurai

Origami, Origami
I am all for you and you are all my army

My Mask

It hurts all the time
This pain in me never stops
I want to cry for you
I want to scream for you
I want to beg for you
I want you to be here
This cant be fair
This cant be real

But I smile and I laugh
I get up every morning to go to work
Throw on a happy face and make some jokes
I come home and enjoy my day
I have fun
And I continue on
But I’m so hurt
I’m so lost

Seeing you in there killed me
I could never get the phone call out my head
The screams from my mom
The walk up there to see if it was true
But most of all I wont forget you
In the casket
Touching your hand
You were so cold
You didn’t belong there
Seeing you go into the ground
Seeing them fall apart
Feeling my heart break into pieces
When all I could do is scream
I will never forget that day

And every time I smile I want to cry
Every time I laugh I want to cry
Every time I think I want to cry
Every breath I take takes a little bit out of me
Because I want to cry

I want this to not be real
I want to had spend more time with you
I want to hug you
Laugh with you
Tell you I love you
That I was always there
That I am still always here

I am so broken
But I continue on with life

Because God took you and not me
He wanted me here for a reason
So ill continue on for
You
I will laugh
And smile
And pretend
Anything to make it to the end
To see you

I miss you just isn’t enough
It doesn’t mean enough

What heals a broken heart?
Time they say

But time wont bring you back
So my heart stays broken
As I pretend to smile

I miss you
I miss you
I miss you

As I’m falling apart

My mask then goes on

RIP Bebo... 17 was to young

Last Thoughts on Bob Dylan

When your engines burning and you call it quits
Say goodbye to the devil and all of his wit
When the breeze has you backwards holding your soul
And the December snow makes you leave your last goal
When the brisk air freezes your knees
And the door won’t open because you can’t find the keys
When your family grows numb under all the commotion
And your head keeps spinning from too much emotion
When your sipping on gin and juice clutching the last bone bruise
And you’re under the tree searching for a noose
Hold the rope in your left hand
And break it with your teeth
Gnaw down on the sunset
While you’re looking for the sunrise
Lift up your head to the moon
And pray with closed eyes
Go on walking the road isn’t too long
Keep steady for you are not too far gone
When your nail polish chips
And the birds aren’t chirping
When your coffee is cold
But your ears are burning
When you can’t fall asleep and it’s two in the morning
Keep on dreaming
Even though you aren’t sleeping
Your mind is moving
And your hands are shaking
Your voice is quaking
And your toes are tapping
Keep your lips smacking
And your lungs inhaling
When you exhale words that aren’t meant to be heard
And your talk is wrongly taken
When you pull out the cake and it’s all undercooked
And you think to yourself what should I be making?
What should I be hearing?
What should I be seeing?
What should I be loving?
What should I be doing?
In this life I am living
And you say to them come keep me clean
Keep me focused
And keep me mean
Under all the dirt and grime
The stories under your fingernails
With the mountains you’ve climbed
And the garden you grew
And the ocean you swam
And all the things that you knew
About fishing boats
Crossing moats
Turning rock into gold
And sinking until you float
Like George Harrison you said
Making it on his own
Living until your full grown
Never accepting or taking a loan
Because you can do this
You said you’ll do this on your own
And there’s a ship sinking somewhere
You’re grabbing some drift wood
Staying afloat
Just because you know you should
You can take it two ways
Above or below
You can grab the door know
Or jump out the window
And you’ll see yourself in the door frame of a house
And he’ll be waiting in the kitchen
For your welcoming smile
Because this is your place
So pick up the pace and don’t lose face
They might see you with the utmost disgrace
So walk in slowly
One foot at a time
See the hallways as a maze
And find yourself in your own home
Grabbing your own keys
Dusting off your own knees
Holding onto your soul
Even in the cold breeze
You may be shaken
Or rattled
Or turned upside down
But you know that
You’ve got one foot in the door
Standing on solid ground.

EYES SHUT TIGHT

EYES SHUT TIGHT

Afraid to look, eyes shut tight
l am a child in the
DARK seeing shadows
in a room all alone.
I pray for a brother
or a sister,to laugh
in the dark with me.
We could play
until day break, and
then fall asleep.
Shadows bouncing off walls
lights from the passing cars causing
reflections to dance in my mirror.
The music is not sweet,
loudly it booms
scares me I cannot sleep.
No one to tell me stories
no one to chase away
the boogie man.
I hit the floor on my knees..
I pray to the lord."
"God please" I need a friend to be
here in the dark with me"
I am not picky a sister or
a brother will do,
I will be brave.
I shall shield them
from these shadows;
I will hold them and comfort them,
I will open my eyes for them..
and no longer be afraid.
I do not want to be,an
"Only Child.

They have given us their air-

Child

1. You may not know
How the sweet world works outside of you
And how it runs freely

2. You don't know at all
Yet you enjoy it in full
Is that quite so bad?

3. You may not know
Why the Sun beats down upon the Earth
And on your sweet face.

4. You are so very naive
Quick to believe what is told
But is that a flaw?

5. You may be gullible
But your eyes see through the darkness
That blinds most others.

6. Innocent eyes see
What the worldly eyes fail to see here
You have true happiness.

Was a DREAM,Now a REALITY

A bundle of joy is made
By two people who are fated
Happiness can not be stated
From GOD, for a couple to be gifted.

With a new family, life again begins
What a beautiful world it seems
A life that was once a dream
Now it is in reach within.

Regrets and doubts were never there
With an addition, hearts again was filled with love n care
Frustrations and tiredness vanished with only a stare
Happiness, surge in, knowing full well a lifetime they'll share

That's Where The Lord Lives

I walk outside to see all that I can see.
Over there is our house, our home,
In the distance, you can see.
And that place of hallowed happiness
Forever has been our home
And forever will be so evermore.
That house is small but raised us tall,
From the perfect parents who loved us so
To the perfect sister for which every man would want.
The house built us all up strong.
More than a mere building,
It is a place to love and be loved,
A place that hands you hope that you give right back,
And a place of everlasting faith.
This home is where my parents taught me about God
And opened me up to Jesus.
They opened the eyes of the blind for all to see,
And the blind included me.
They taught me to be the best I can be;
The best things in life are free.
They have taught us so well,
And they all have saved my soul.
Even if I am not there now,
I carry Him with me.
I carry them with me.
I carry Their values and Their teachings with me.
In this house, this home,
We reside.
We cannot forget this.
This is where my Mother lives.
This is where my Father lives.
This is where my Sister lives.
This is where We live,
In this loving, caring, beautiful home
They made just for us.
We cannot forget this either.
This is where it all began.
This is where the hunger and thirst was created;
This is where we are fulfilled.
We cannot, we must not forget this:
This is where God lives.
This is where Jesus lives.
This is where The Lord lives;
The Father and The Almighty.
This is where We live;
This is where We reside.
We must not forget this.
We must not forget this:
What a beautiful and perfect life this is.

working on myself

i'm working on myself
this may take a while
i should be searching for help
but i know how to fake a smile

they tell us to express ourselves,no swearing
walk arounf with my headphones blaring
grew up without a mum and dad
use my idols Eminem and Cristiano Ronaldo to clone parents

it's funny i used to find growing up in care embarrasing
like my parents don't want me,so who else will
then i realised life isn't a race it's a marathon
hide my insecurities, let them see my arrogance

think what you like,i don't care at all
learned to pick myself up
so a im not scared at all
this world can't beat me.unless i choose to self-destruct

i speak what others are scared to voice
my whole life leaving me paranoid
but i use my pain as encouragment
and i use the rain as nourishment

i'm me haven't got another side to show to you
yeah my past has left me a little emotional
trust no one.love no one.everyone is disposable
so i won't allow myself to get close to you

i've got a fear of love
people add tears,takeaway trust
then i'm left trying to clear my cuts
the heart you see here is shut

i'm not half the man i used to be
that's right.i'm twice the man
you expected me to hide and fall
i decided to fight and sand

The growing gift

I wrote this one with a friend in mind;

Her growing belly tells what most think the whole story
Her age is a cause for shame
She is scared And feels so alone
Strangers look at her And laugh
Pointing and wispers
She thinks her only way out is to destroy the thing inside
Angels and demons struggle in her young head
Fighting for life

She goes to church
Pro-life people shun her
They whisper:
“She is just a young child”

Against all odds she decided to tell her friends and family
She is going to see this through
She encounters lots of anger
What a little whore she is
God seems to not love her

She makes an appointment
Tears in her eyes she ascends
She opens the door to the clinic and climbs the stairs
Carrying the weight of her cross
A miracle
A older women dressed nice with hair as bright as the sun
Do not harm this child
Take comfort my dear sweet girl
I have been where you are
I have received their teasing
Do not listen to them
God himself has blessed you

The bulging belly tells a story
Your naked hand proves how brave you really are.
You've made it this far and you will make it even more.
Not every woman out there can do what God has blessed you with.
The woman gave a hug and the tears started to pour.

Back in the car she took a deep breath.
With a hand on her belly she spoke to the little child.
" I don't know if your a girl or boy, or even if I will be a good mom"
I promise to you I will try to do my best, just please don't turn out like me and be wild!"

She started the car and prepared to drive home for the worse
She knew this child was not going to be easy to have
Inside her was a little life growing bigger each day
No matter how hard it was going to be with her faith in God she would find a way.

HOUND AND THE LAD for contest

                                        THE HOUND AND THE LAD

Small sturdy child begot of steely silvery men
Ancient songs rang out o’er glorious land
As bold they strode toward foe or friend
Sleek hounds beside them, close at hand.

The hound himself descends from glory
As warriors always prized the best
And in the battles-- says the story--
The beasts would lick the bloody chest
To keep alive their human charge
Until help came and the battle done.
No better mate -- be small or large--
Then hound raised with a warrior’s son.

We think the world has changed a lot
Tho' some dark things will never change
                             Danger waits for every tot
                             City streets--- or woodland strange

Thus when a rabbit dares the hound
This hound ignores the rabbit's run--
And as his child mate gawks around
The hound will keep him safe and sound.

Wishing you could love me too

You mean so much to me, more then you'll ever know.
More then ill ever be able to describe.
But I'll try.
Voice of a angel, touch ever so soft you would think its a feather.
Eyes so beautiful seeing them on a sunset day, medusa stare ever so hypnotizing locking eyes can't look away.
Baby in the tummy, heart just started beating giving me a rush that I really needed.
Love so old I feel defeated.
Even though I do everything for you, I'm looking out for me just keeping a close over view upon you.
How can I fix your life if mine isn't alright, but i don't know where id ever be with out you by my side.
And I thought I'd never know but as of now I'm pushing through.
Now that your gone, I miss you every night.
But I gotta be strong.
Cause if not you'll be gone and ill be with a baby missing its mom.

The Inner Child

Digested by mortal strength, overpowered by passion of integrity,
The splendor of my forceful will,
Touched by heart,. Touch with imagination,
Yes, in the depths of my inner heart even still.
My dreams, my inspirations, my visions,
a gift of awareness, revealed by my dignity.
Rewarded by truth of my own reality.
My inner eyes of sight, magically formed by
 tremendous substance and distinction.
Oh yes – the mystical, glowing beam of light.

It is the touch of heart, the touch of imagination,
The mystery, the startling spark of true determination.
It kindles the inward burning flame from unseen
forces and unusual power.
Holding so tenderly, so effortlessly with no limits
submerged by our hearts and minds in this very hour.
This reflected image -- our heart of cleansing purpose can find.
Within our very depths those hidden truths live
Beyond the boundaries of our minds.

In time -- our destination shall be revealed.
Those hidden, silent ideals, yes our private
Truths shall no longer be concealed.
That special touch of the heart, the glory of our imaginations,
Our starving inner child, craving to learn, to grow, to know.
Longing for purpose, believing with open arms to receive.
As the years have passed,
our imagination has dimmed, yes it has faded.
Now aching for that creative play to mend,
As your inner child has been lost in the force of the wind.
Reach for the touch of heart, once again,
Reach for the depths of your inner child’s imagination within.

Baby of love

You can have all the wealth
To buy everything you seek
Power, position, and success
Fame and fortune for you to keep

Everything that money can buy
Even live like a royal majesty
And when you walk the street
Might even turn down your nose at me

I maybe lacking of material possessions
Or working for a minimum salary
But I am the happiness man in the world
For my beautiful wife are having our baby

We use to dream of getting marry
And today it’s a wish comes true
And though we don’t have much
I got everything when you say I do

The magic that you bring tour life
A happiness that spread far and wide
And to see the glow in your eyes
Saying you’re carrying a new life inside

And though some days are tough
And the bills just keep piling up above
But none of these can take equal
Having our sweet little child of love

I know she was a gift from heaven
For everything about her was so right
And when she hugs me, I didn’t want to let go
And I made her laugh so much that night

She’s sleeping so peacefully now
As I gently pulls and fix her covers
Tomorrow from the doctor’s visits will get
Her some of her favorite jasmines flowers

She always ask him a million questions
About baby stuff she that she read
And her eyes so bright when she’s smiling
With her tousled curly hair on he head

And when I look at her
And I see the joy in her beautiful face
Of having our precious little baby
And spreading over me her amazing grace

The time has come and now they are home
As she coddle our gift from above
And I lie next to her and hug them both
My beautiful wife an our baby of love

Junipers, when I was young

Summer came crashing down like a thunderhead
Hordes of children released from their brick prisons
My young eyes watched out the passenger window
Our yard, brown spots and all, I loved it

The way we ran, the sprinkler cackling in the background
Voices hoarse from delighted screams, evening bubbles by
Blades of grass stick to my heel, and I dream of junipers
They line the front of our house, protecting it from monsters

I want to take that particular green and paint my life with it
Over again, just once more, standing next to the street
Rubbing the needles between my fingers, sticky with life

The evergreen balm sparkles through my senses
Stirring up magic and stories about the high sea

Night time comes and my memory stands tall
The curtains in my bedroom billow like sails
And outside, the castle wall still stands

Today I Have to Tell You
How Very Proud I Am
Remember How it Used to Be
How You Hit the Big "Grand Slam?"

Then You Went out on Your Own
And Set the World on Fire
You Beat the Odds and Won
It Was Your Hearts Desire

Oh to See You Fight
When Things Got in Your Way
I Really Couldn't Ask for More
But There's Something I must Say

Forever I Shall Love You
I Love You like No Other
I Hope You'll Always Need Me
Because I Am Your Mother

Child Drinks And Drives

               Child Drinks And Drives
(Parents Plead 5th. Beat the 5)

Mommy and daddy are going to jail you know
5 is too young to let your baby drink and drive on roads
Something went wrong along the highway of life
The child was not lucid enough for Officer Johnny
Who pulled the kid over, doing 50 in a 30 mph zone
“Where you off to kid?” He inquired
The lad picked his nose and said, “Want some?”
The law asked the youth, “You been drinking boy?”
The lad responded, “Mommy said you’re a pig.”
The pig…I mean Officer of the peace shouted out
License, registration, insurance card please!
You know the rest
Arrested on the spot by Mr. Prissy Cop
The toxicology test came back 2 weeks later
The child had been drinking at a bar
Snack bar, and had consumed chocolate milk & a candy bar
(Permit included)
Mom and pop are still off to jail
Derailed by other charges
Child endangerment, negligence
And simply being born prevailed
They will fight it though
This is America you know.
They will plead insanity, afluenza, (let’s say they’re rich)
And dehydration if it fits
This is a wonderful land we live in
And in the end they’ll take the 5th
Then take the brat home for a beating
That’s the least they do
For eating and drinking and stealing car keys

*(He will be punished in accordance with a nationally approved government sponsored beating program naturally. Similar to IRS corrective measures applicable for all citizens.)

Silver Tongue

His fingers left blood on the strings

but, come time to walk away he hadn’t really learned anything.

Course and dried brushes sit atop the rubbish,

His mind held a perfection too delicate for his clumsy hands to create.

He opened his mouth to sing like a jay but, instead of notes it was rust that fell out. Part of the wear and tear of early adulthood.

But then, this same boy picked up a pen and found some paper. The pen in his hand felt as natural his own bones and he began to write.

He wrote every tear

He scribed every star

He built towers from mountains with every line

High enough that the angel’s just might hear them.

He made pages for chapters of his life that could make those seraphim weep sapphire tears.

He could write the wind blowing across the nape of your neck in Autumn

And make you feel the chill on your skin.

He could articulate the sad beauty of a lover’s quarrel that ends in tears

If they cry, it makes it all more real.

He documents the history of a war inside himself that will never end.

The loss and the gain,

But not those of monetary nature.

When life begins to scream around him

All he must do to silence it is to put it in a stanza.

The boy’s tongue can pave the way for good intentions, and we all know those can fall South. He finds strength. And with this Strength a power.

Finally the boy knew his gift. But how is he meant to use it and who will truly listen to the personal strands of his soul he ties together with punctuation?

And now that he has tasted the pleasure of his power, will that be enough?

Story three

Through the years the boy became a man that had already seen the world in his travels. He never married because of his conviction of accused infection of the people. The rules in those day changed ruler to ruler. He was allowed to marry in his life time but not untill after his leader had died, he was 67 at the time. The boy that had traveled did write a scrolled article that contained his opionion and explaination of the metors and the water but it also detailed the logistics of the war that happened on the island and even pictures of the way the warriors had left the bodies, upside down with flames or hot embers at the deads necks with iron post staked through their hearts. The gentleman had a therory of an island with a volcano that fed eagerly and hungerly at the rotten humans that had been staked to the ground for three to seven years. He therorized that the volcano infect with the bacteria had leched to the jungle floors and perched its self to the under sides of the world. The decription that Notradomus gave was alot like the article that the boy had written only to be published in the most private of scholarly clubs.

Little Girl

Little girl
With her visions and prayers...
Suffering in silence from endless nightmares.
A broken family
So much responsibility...
Hurting deep inside so other's can't see.
Giant, gentle eyes
Penetrate the soul
The little girl sees more than anyone knows.
Empathic virtues
Create bountiful waves
Breaking these chains the pitiful enslaves
Wide open heart
Locked up and jailed pride
She's able to let go of her anger inside.
Unable to stay
Trapped in time
She knew to go forward, she had to stop 'rewind'
Frozen for a moment
The ice melts away
The sun warms her heart in a motherly way.
Infinite excuses
Become lessons learned
Gratitude is given, and so it is earned
Innocent little girl,
All hope invested in Heaven
Learned the secret of her life before she was 7
Her lesson was hard
Fighting darkness with a match
Finding the spark that ignites with nothing to scratch
But through all the bad
She searched for the good
And finally she found it upon where she stood
So listen to me close
And take this seriously
I know for a fact this is fact...because that little girl... was me.

Young Heart

From my youth,
I knew no goodness
Teach me His truth
So that I will meet success

I hope I'm making little progress

From my youth,
I knew very little at first
Teach me Your truth
Or I'll remain in thirst

I thirst for His spirit - to renew my faithfulness

I have a nourished heart
But, evilness broke it apart
I had an energetic soul
But agony took its toll

And now I pray
To Him who mends us all
To save my young heart
From the fear of losing control...

Do I still have an innocent,
Young heart?

Just to be myself, and caring nothing but raising hell?
I only wish to start again to be a better child,

If you ever wondered about sexting,I'll tell you that it's bad.
Almost being charged with that will never compare,

Sing me a soft lullaby
to hush away my fears
Pull your arms around me
Wipe away my salty tears
Sing to me of muddy shoes
And someone asking for a dime
Tell me who rips your heart out
And handles it with care
Sing to me of angels and a whisper of a prayer
sing to me a lullaby
That ill sing my unborn child
Hold me tight and brush my hair
Away to see my smile
Sing me into slumber
Where happiness exists
Sing me a soft lullaby
And ill finally get some rest

Goodbye for now

Can it be real or am I just fooling myself?
To believe that your love for me
Has not been put on a shelf

Packed away and discarded
Like an old photo or toy,
Your pure and unconditional love
Like when you were a boy.

Innocent and sweet
You held me in your heart,
But now the years and life’s challenges
Have torn us apart

 You have chosen a path
That is rocky and tough,
And my guidance and attempts to divert you
 Have not been enough.

You ran from youth fast,
Confused and unsure,
Towards the deceitful blinding light
Of adulthoods allure.

As I stand here and watch you stumble,
Like when you took your first steps,
But now unable to help or reach out to you,
Now that you’ve fallen into the depts

But my hand will always be within reach for you,
And my heart open wide,
To take hold of either
If you should ever decide

I wish you only happiness
And pray you will find,
All the things you’ll need in your life
To replace what you’ve left behind.

I will say goodbye to you,
But only for now,
Because I know you will find your way back to me,
Someday or somehow

Hush

Hush little child,
Don't say a word,
You'll be okay,
Safe in the herd.

Hush little child,
Hold you close,
Mom's here,
I love you most.

Hush little child,
Please don't cry,
Momma's gonna
Sing you a lullaby.

Hush little baby,
You'll be free,
Momma's going
To show you a melody.

Hush little baby,
I'll always be here.
Though we're apart,
I'll be near.

Hush little baby,
It's alright,
You're in better hands,
I'll see you another night.

Bullying ruin lives

Every day in school
They would pick on him
And threaten to kill his mom
If he reported them

The constant abuse
And the physical attacks
For months he took it
And the teachers all turn their backs

The shame and humiliation
His peace of mind and sanity is gone
The hurt in his heart
While the girl he likes helplessly looks on

The frustrations of the parents
Seeing their only child health decline
And the teachers who turn a blind eye
Telling them everything in school is fine

The attempt of suicide one night
When the father saw him with knife
Asking if he will go to heaven or hell
If he takes his own life

The tear of the kidney
For the force of the kicks and blows
The lost of appetite and weight
The suffering only he alone knows

But he did open his mind he said
I can’t got through another year like this
And when they were arrested then many
Told the press what they had witness

Today he is trying to get back his life
But his road is pave with bad memories
And sometimes he almost reaches the end
And then get scared of the shadows of the trees

Then he is right back where he started
And then he has to start again with frustration
Sometime lashing out at his parents and family
Trying to get some much need attention

Looking at him very quite sitting alone
Wondering what’s going on in his poor mind
And wishing to that one day god will
Bring him the peace he so much wants to find

He is a fighter and his will are very strong
Yes today he is along way from there
And I know that eventuality the time will come
His smile will return that has now disappear

The war must be over for now
But every day he has a battle to face
But in the end he will be victorious
And get back his life that has been misplace

So many kids has and are being bulled
And some are talking their own lives
For when you feel all hope is gone
Then it’s very hard to survive

They are sick and tired of the abuse,
and they little minds fought so hard, so very long,
And was just couldn’t make it
through the pain, and stayed strong.

I wish all students will look after the weak
The ones who are very quite and shy
And if the teachers and students do this
Then so many of our children will not have to die

Surviving Life

The water felt good.
I fell from where I stood.
Knees are both weak;
Been under a spell for a week.
Now that it was broken,
I'm left shaken.
In the water I sunk,
Letting my body get drunk.
I needed some more;
I wanted so much more.
Took the dose
Until I overdose.
It started with one,
Now I'm never done.
It takes everything away.
Leaving me numb for a day.
Forgetting the pain,
Happiness, I hope to gain.
In my mind was a vast space
Couldn't remember my own face.
I felt so very high
Not thinking it was all a lie.
Believed I am free,
That my troubles had let me be.
I took every pill
Until I lost my own will.
A friend is what it seemed
In a promise of bliss it beemed.
I couldn't accept my fate
And for a time I lost my faith.
That night, in the hotel room;
And after, in every other room.
Over and over --
Til I could no longer remember
How it felt to be pure;
Or if I ever was, I wasn't sure.
Touch that made my skin crawl
Stares that made me feel small.
I wanted to forget and not feel
Hoping nothing's real.
I let myself drown in ecstasy
For a while I lived in a fantasy.
Until one day,
In the middle of all the dissarray,
I saw the son I hold dear
In his eyes there's only fear.
I knew then for a time I was lost,
His fears touched me the most.
I had to do something
For him I'd do anything.
I took the easy way out,
This I knew without a doubt.
So I took each pill
Flushed it down as I stood still.
I know I will get better
For my son deserves better.

A Soldier's Foreign Woman - Quatern

A Soldier’s Foreign Woman (Quatern 30 April 2014)

She kissed me like never before
While firecrackers burst overhead.
She never had kissed me before—
Kissing her back went to my head.

Intimacy came very fast.
She kissed me like never before.
I wondered would such passion last
Each time I exited her door.

Traveling the road to her door,
Ev’ry five or six weeks or so
She kissed me like never before--
As if to never let me go.

A son was born, then we married
(permission didn’t come before).
The wedding night passed unhurried.
She kissed me like never before.

Its in the language of the Angels

It's the Language of the Angels

Don't worry little child for I sit beside your head,

I wrap my wings around you as you fall asleep in bed.

Don’t worry little child of the darkness in the night,

For I hold in my hands gods loving calming light.

Don't worry little child whether young or whether old,

It's the language of the angels that is taking hold.

Listen to that voice that whispers in your ear,

It's the language of the angels saying I am very near.

Michael, Samuel, Gabriel, are just my chosen few,

Who have been with me my whole life through.

It's the language of the angels that’s my tree to life,

But the test they most helped me with, was being a mother and a wife.

My Spellbinding Obsession - hint - HP Fan

My Spellbinding Obsession
Written by D.W. Breidenthal

Like all obsessions,
I feel regret for getting
Into fantasy
Like all obsessions,
I think about my crazy
Fantasies...my mind's spinning & spinning...
I'm consuming ideas
Bliss - I'm a victim
Of my imagination
And my magical...
Spellbinding...desire
T'wards the Harry Potter books
J. K. Rowling's cool!
Kiss reality
Goodbye! I embraced fiction
In my childhood nostalgias
I'm brewin' up ideas
Like all obsessions,
They can be unhealthy
Or rather bizarre
Like all wild children,
I'm honestly curious
Of what lies ahead & its mysteries
But it's buried far
Below our feet...I'd rather
Drive a flying car!!!
Dedicated to my unhealthy obsession towards the Harry Potter series written by J.K. Rowling (one of fav. authors like evahhhhhh), but it was my childhood heroin (it got me hooked till this very day).

Life's hidden lessons

I married a man too early in life
and wasn’t prepared to be a good wife.
I believed he loved me and things would be fine.
My love for him would grow over time.
The years passing by were good for awhile.
Then came a time I could not see my smile.
He cheated on me and I deserved more.
With a heavy heart I went out the door.
We parted as “friends”, which ended one day.
With a baby conceived he went on his way.
He now liked his freedom away from me.
I carried our son -- he didn’t want to see.
Soon after another cared about me;
I ignored the things I didn’t want to see.
I married that man -- I thought it’d be best.
But soon after that, he was failing the test.
Driven by fear, I mistakenly thought
A son of “his own” was the thing that he sought
I now had a toddler and one on the way;
there was no doubt, I now had to stay.
Things started to spiral out of control.
The alcohol had a firm grip on his soul.
Choosing to leave to protect us all;
I was forced this time to really stand tall.
Now on my own with two children to raise
I examine my life in so many ways.
My relationships failed, for that I am sad;
but the result of those could never be bad.
Now long gone are those men from my past
replaced by a “true” love that forever will last.
My love for my sons, my two little boys,
erase all my pains and reveal only my joys.

A Moonlight Stroll

Our first kiss wasn’t a designer kiss It was our signature moment To blossom in the moonlight Did we got it right Oh! yes we did It was the talk of the night as the crickets hum a beautiful tone lots to precieve with young minds The air felt sticky And lovers were icky It was a lovely year 1989

Speak

Mama said always speak
But I'm way to shy
I'm always going to have to compete
For the open mic
They wont mistreat
If they dont know your meek

Gutless people
always have a thing to say
About how i play my voice
but when you ask them too
speak without the noise
They really don't have a voice

The Raggedy Man

The longing to go back,
Back to another time
Another place
I’m aging, and he doesn't care
A different crime
He can run
He can hide
He can he can soar
He can fly
Away in the
Blue box
I don’t have one
I don’t have a police box
I’m all alone
I’m stuck here watching every dawn
I’m stuck here like mom
He won’t take me away
Because he left us you see
Alone to fend for ourselves
And I hate him for it
But at the same time I love him
My mom’s raggedy man.

Twisted Time

When we go out you want to know
What time we’ll be back and where is it we go
I say for a meal or maybe a show
We’ll be back in an hour or two, we just go with the flow

But when you go out and are going to be late
How come you never reciprocate?
You go out of the door without a bye your leave
Are you with Peter or maybe with Steve?

The hours tick by and I head off to bed
I know you are sensible not easily lead
The clock winks at me; and the hours pass by
I’m starting to worry I just want to cry

I get up and have a soothing cup of tea
I look at the clock it half past three
I go back to bed and try and sleep
But when I turn over its at the clock I peep

It’s now half past five and I’m starting to worry
No phone call or text oh why don’t you hurry?
Then I hear the key turn in the lock
I breathe a sigh of relief and no longer need to watch the clock.

Do you remember

Do you remember the first place we met?
I'd been out walking, and you were all wet.
Too far from home, to run for your mum,
Too fearful of strangers, inside to come.

You took to my barn, and lay in the hay,
to keep yourself warm and to hide away.
I bought some hot food and some cocoa to start,
and left them to warm your insides, and your heart.

Many would call me a perv or poof,
All I wanted to do was give you a roof.
To let you dry off, and show you no harm,
not hurt you, abuse you, or cause you alarm.

I bought you a phone, for you to ring home,
to tell your mum how far you'd managed to roam.
You told me she'd come in her car to collect,
she was angry and mad, and I would get wrecked.

If only she'd understand my intentions, my care,
but for her - I was sick - the understanding, not there.
I'd try to explain, but it wasn't so wise,
I'd look like a weirdo in that mother's eyes.

I told him to sit there, and I'd wait inside.
As I turned round, he hugged me, and deep down I cried.
I gave him a smile, and a wave; it was true,
And as he was driven away, I hurt. I was blue.

The very next day I awoke to a knock,
it was Mum and the boy, to my great shock.
She smiled, and said sorry, and I got 2 hugs that day,
one of those from a mother, whose love couldn't stray.

So now you know me, and you know of my story,
of tolerance, love, and kindness - not glory.
We're a family now, son, husband and wife,
Look past what you think - you may be ruining a life.

Cube Girl

              Cube Girl
(Based on the same titled short story by me. It is not a true story so don’t be alarmed.)

I’m 19 and a woman in space
Meandering out for centuries
I fear there’s no way back
For sure I didn't get here alone
Most view me as a girl. They do not matter.
They have long since vanished in the winds of time
And with them all their kind
Folding them neatly into the fabric of existence
And kissing them good-bye
My sojourn out here eclipsed all other matters
Disconcerting things I can’t explain
Like being imprisoned as a cold dark cube
Is what I became, Is what I am
Who gets themselves in such a state?
This prevailing condition of not being myself
Preoccupies the immediacy of the moment
I must have fallen to sleep to turn into such a thing
My Breasts are hard. My nipples are soft but sore
But everything about me and within me is metallic
I have no interest in men or women or so I thought
My lower extremities are in a fever
In a liquefied state forever.
I must be coming down with something.
There is no training for such girl things out here I think
If there is anything to be done
It should be to keep myself occupied and quiet
No need to panic in deep space when in a cube state
Or is it cube shape?
Activities, hobbies, come to mind, to keep me sane.
Feelings keep me on edge out in the ends of space
Once there was a computer that made me feel at ease
It kept me balanced, at peace, like family
But then, there is no proof
I must have dreamed up humanity and machines
Perhaps I've always been a product of the stars
They gave me birth
I am their only child
Cosmic bodies rolling on the void
Not of this or any other world
I am cube girl

Spinning Song

I look around
And see everything here is changing.
The homes, economy, clothing,
It’s moving on.
I wish it would stay the same.

They say it’s changing for the good,
But there are so many wrongs to it.
Crime, anger is lit
In the hearts of men and women alike.
If only we could have stayed the same.

In this short time, we continue on,
Replaying our lives.
The young baby cries,
And the old person gives a last breath.
It’s never the same anymore.

The old are swept off
By the calm under their feet.
Taking steps on with beat,
Onto a new place that promises more.
If only I could go there, to be the same.

Children are remaining
With memories that survive.
They wake and revive,
Starting another morning.
If only that was the same for me.

Our memories of old and new
Are spun into two spirals,
Then fade away, and unravels.
This is how it goes on,
Like a ribbon, changing formation.

As for me,
I sing this song.
I want to change all wrong,
But nothing can change with one person.
I know I could never do so much.

But I will
Sing for as long as I can.
Though this song cannot change man,
I will try and do my part in the world.
I can do anything if I try.

I remember what happened
When I pass on to the next place,
But it’s engraved in this empty space,
In my heart,
So please let me through.

Captivity

I was captured at a young age
Heart filled with pain
Mind filled with rage.
I waited for a chance to break out
But too confused
Filled with fear, flooded with doubt.
After a few years I broke free
Only to be captured again
Locked up, indefinitely.
I never got to fly on my own
In captivity is how I’ve lived
These walls all I've known.
My children will never see captivity
For they belong to the captor
And he has set them free.

The Journey- Part 1

A fusion of cells result in a living mass
Of potential and hope, gift from God
Growing, each second life beckons
No identity; yet a spark ignites

It fights to survive, to thrive, stay alive
A stream of red feeds, nourishes, flourishes
Growing stronger feeling claustrophobic
It knows it, trying to close it, failing to expose it

Rushing emotions, tied down by contortions
Air around blows life abound
Inside that cave of comfort and devotion
Motion beckons; movement stirs

Realisation of existing, participating
Intellect stirs, tuition from body, mind and soul
Curiosity grows, bestows a fresh outlook on surroundings
Sounds abound, patterns evolving, language astounding

Throbbing of life, almost complete
Just starting out, life awaits what to give?
The journey, almost complete
Let’s wait and see for new breath to comfort and soothe…

Poverty grows

Poverty.
Hardship and suffering
all behind society's eyes
raised by the ghetto
slums cracked lights out
scavenges for life
its gone.
The same face in all places
no father figures
can't support, gone
moms fiend for crack
the silent killer
hard to take, reality hurts
the youngest
nothing lives within him
unloved, felt like a colorless weed
wants to develop
a beautiful rose
society wont let
its a cruel world
only the streets
resist the temptations.
Death laid outside his doorstep
waiting to grab the innocent beneath
Gang life sleeps in his thoughts
trying to fight the opposition
a deadly current war.
Getting older
need to make ends meat
but how, never given a chance
selling drugs only option
need to feed his children
and in his mind
nobody cares
people just stare.
Treated as the fungus of earth
and all this money
soldiers dying, the devils agreement
army of weeds, never stop regrowing
power making more poverty
not spent on the poor
only used for wars
its sad.
A war on drugs
to fight them off
but they made them
dirty tricks, crooked
and deceived
and still we don't change this
mankind has the say
not the rich.
Children screaming, not heard
tears not felt
like a raindrop with no splat
it always keeps raining
in his eyes.
People so caught up in the power
like a wolf fighting for its food
wraps around the minds
changing ambition to greed
Just share
then i think things would be fair
for all the bad acts
its countless.
Going through his mind
all the times he cried
number of life's he lost
early deceased
in the penitentiary
trapped left to die
a fly under a glass.
Certain peoples cause
an act with no redemption
soon to burn in hell
tried to deceive us
saying they were against us
causing pains and misery.
A secret war
an epidemic
propaganda in its finest form
defying the innocent
minds controlled
eyes turned, no notice
no justice.
It goes on and keeps on growing.

ANYTHING FOR YOU

Baby girl, you are my world
So why can't I fix what ails you?
I am told that I say and do the wrong thing
How else am I to fail you?

I hurt when you hurt but I'm told
I have no right
I try to show you how much I care
Even though I'm not always within sight

Inside, I feel great despair
I gave birth to you but you are not mine
Please listen, oh please mind so instead
of quarreling why not say what is kind

I love you so much, I often wonder
What goes through your mind
And I hope that someday you can
See past whatever keeps you blind

Why the thought of losing you is
Why I continue this fight or flight
For all will reveal itself to you in due time

Prayer for a life unmade

Too busy wrestling
with our own demons
to bring an innocent soul into
the hell of mourning
an innocence lost,
I now grieve
for the loss of a life
never conceived

Dear one, I ask
you to forgive
those obsessions
that ruled the hearts
and minds of two,
blocking your
journey from this world
to the stars

Dear one, I ask
you to dream for me
those dreams yet undreamt
and hope the hopes never hoped,
for those dreams and hopes
still live,
tucked away in a corner
of this old heart

Dear one, I ask
you to feel the love that awaited you
and the pride that even now
burns brightly as a candle
in these eyes,
softly inching towards
its liquid demise

Dear one, I ask
you to take this hand
and hold it, just once
and cry those tears
never cried
for these tears
of mine I fear
are never to be dried

Babies and Kids Struggles

Everyone in the world thinks babies and kids have no struggles we are wrong.
We forget the hardest times of our lives is when we were infant our hearts beat a song.
When we were hungry we would cry, little hands could not grab anything that lye.
We had help to hold our bottles and we felt so helpless in our everyday struggles.
Our eyes did not open till the time that we were able we saw everything huge in size.
It made our heart throb fast and nothing made sense for all the words were gurgles.
The little ears we had we did stress with sound so loud and so unknown made us cry.
The fathers and mothers with kind word almost calmed us while they whispered.
They held us with fear, we had fear just knowing that we could not handle stress alone.
We grabbed things and we just wanted to hear the heart beat of our mom and dad.
That was the only thing in our minds that made us calm and glad.
The first touch of rough skin and strong hands were most comforting, yet scary at once.
Trust gradually grew when whipped our mess and hind ends, which were still scary.
To the large people out there the mind of a child is so simple but they still struggle.
They still need food, love and security that is all they need to grow.
To their lives is what they cling and no one is there to protect them from sorrow.
There are less fortunate kids that never get to hear their mothers and fathers hearts.
They soon empathize with everything around them with an emotion that struggles.
When sleeping on our own we cannot defend ourselves so we have fears.
That's why we cry nightly to sigh relief, we get exhausted and we run out of tears.
Remember the times you seen a child fall down their first step or bump into things.
It is scary when knowledge is lacking and get into things, which are a signs of struggles.
Children is future, it is nice to just watch them study, play and learn who they are.
Babies and Kids smiling, playing loud, and just sitting, they are still people they struggle.

Puzzle Man

            Puzzle Man

Sex is sex with connections
According to “them”, chemistry plays a part
There are a lot of ins and outs, ups and downs with coitus
It has been suggested certain parts are needed for functionality
Utilization of external & internal parts might be required
Facts of life in accordance with birds and bees philosophy

“They” say it’s all about relations, (perhaps aided by vibrators or vibrations)
There are 3 kinds of sex;
1.)	Playing by oneself with one self
2.)	Sex between 2 persons
3.)	Orgies? Or morgies? Or mortgages? (ménage a trios might fit this
category)
I’m confused about mortgages and it does not sound like fun
Then there’s sex with animals but that’s just wrong

Commitment plays another part, free will with honor, monogamy
Other people pay for it. (Don’t get lost. Stay focused. We’re talking sex.)
A business transaction, that comes with or without diseases

Trying not to be litigious
“They” also say other things regarding human beings and sex
Compatibility, social, economic, religious components weigh in

All is well with puzzle man….if he has a home, a job, a car
The car, as far as we know, always trumps a bike when dating
Competition is healthy in relations “they” say

Parties involved in coitus know
Sex doesn't happen on its own
One must be properly lubricated and maintained
Like an auto or chu chu train
I imagine it must be like a banana penetrating a donut
Not a savory sight
Again…. You need a home, or shopping cart, or car
Even up in a tree will do if you’re in the mood
To be accomplished
Reading books on what parts fit with other parts is desirable
They say the most important thing about such things is love
I wouldn't know about such things
It’s all a puzzle to a little man like me
I only have a bicycle you see so sex is out of the question
Also, I’m only 3
Mother is about to bathe me
She had better keep her hands to herself
I want to figure these things out alone and by myself

Within

It comes on so fast like a torid rain
These feelings of weakness and unforgiving pain
To keep them at bay, what can one do
Someone give me an answer, or just a clue
Sit and stare, and just stay out of the way
Too many questions, the familiar:are you okay?
Inside, my heart continues to tear
The constant reminder that nobody will care

Breathe in and breathe out, it appears okay
It's night time now, made it through the day
Sleep comes hard, the thoughts are way too much
Racing and streaming the mind seems out of touch
Inside, my heart continues to tear
The constant reminder that few will care

Waking up for another great morning
Not being able to hide, there's little warning
The flood of feelings pour from within
When will this end, so my life can begin
A life of no pain, or just no saddness
Who can help to stop the maddness
Inside, my heart continues to tear
Surely there's someone who'll care

I’m a child in heart
I’m sensitive,
So don’t misuse it

I’m God’s special child
I need to respect
My zealous Father

I need to honor Him
With my young heart,
I pray for freedom

How awesome are Your deeds?

Relieve my heart’s ache
Help me escape
From the darkened pit

I can be active
And beat that race
I’m on God’s good side
God’s mercy
Aids me in times of trouble

I appreciate His consideration
He fulfills me with elation

Lone

Sitting on the park bench
The boy watches geese
Ever so carefully
As though he wants
To be one of them.
Is one of them
At least for the moment.
They swim across the pond
Happily.
Not a care in the world
And with friends.
The boy turns away.
Starts crying
Uncontrollably.
The wind jabs me in my gut.
I admit.
I am still that boy.

I Was A Boy, Once, Lost In A Wood

I was a boy, once, lost in a wood,
Where I stood, alone and scared.

Sunk within the damp earth moss,
I wondered across the wood shadows.

The loom branches arched above,
Claws of a turtle dove, caught my every breath.

Smells of burning bracken hung the air,
They didn't care, the birds of the undergrowth,

That a boy had become lost,
Frozen soft, the stillness of the air I remember.

Until the warm arm embraced,
Softly placed, a body I knew so well.

The darkness had now gone,
The sun shone, upon my golden hair.

I looked back and smiled,
At that scared child, crying alone.

I was a boy, once, lost in a wood.

Soulful Cries

I scream, at the top of my lungs
No sound, comes out
Silent, curdling screams
Is, all I have left, now
I wrestle; I fight, with all, my physical might
While, being forced down
By the mighty strength, of many men
The pungent smells of dirt, sweat and grime
Embed, in my senses
Their ghastly hot breathes; making me, want to puke!
Their hands, all over me
Constantly grabbing and groping me
Hollering and cheering each other on
Then, someone punches me
Someone, I cannot see
A large man’s hand, covers my nose and mouth
Muffling my soulful cries, terrifying, my insides!

I can’t breathe, now!

Many heavy handed blows, follow
In a blurry haze
I watch, my scarlet red blood splatter
Upon the snow white sheets, that surround
My sacred blood spilled
My salty tears mixed in with sticky men’s semen
My body, a raging torrent of scorching hot lava
Lulling into a translucent, entranced state
Surrendering, to the primal, animalistic frenzy
The men, taking what they want, anyway they want it
Devouring every morsel left ,of my weak and weary body
My body fighting, for its God given right
To live, now!
My life flashes before my eyes
The sounds around me begin to fade
My eyes glaze over, my body goes limp
My body betraying me, when I need her the most!
Silently, I pray for this is not my will, but their own
“Have mercy upon these souls”
“Please forgive these men, as I do, now
“My love remains with you, heavenly Father”
Blackened tears of jet black mascara
Weave their way down
Through the bloody crevasses, of my black & blued skin
My body used up, a lifeless vessel, totally numb!
My innocence and dignity stripped!
No one, can save me, the worst is done!
Bashed, beaten, worn
I am nothing, no more...

The laugh of the child

The laugh of the child
Frothy
Sugary
Rampant
Keen
Cuts through the haze
Buds forth the green
Scampered
Syrupy
Velvety
Honestly light
The laugh of the child

The cry of the babe
Frightened and lost
Snickery
Trickery
Spidery fright
Mother sooths
Early midnight
Mumbly
Kushushy
Sleepily lost

The mumble of the old man
Frothy
Brothy
Powdery
Toothlessly smacked
In arguing drivel snivel
Cracked
Yeasty
Doury
Dry
Earthbound

Stage Fright

My character's poem!! Enjoy ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I can't stand it -
I wanna stand up, but how?
I am full of anguish
I have stage fright...

I can't stand it...
I'm a bit scared...I'm unprepared...
I want to get rid of stage fright, but HOW?

I might be late
I wanna be there on time, but when do I get there?
Oh...at 4:00 PM...ooh great.
It's 3:07 PM...happy to say everything's gonna turn out okay...hopefully
But I still can't shake this dread that I feel
It's so unreal...

I have stage fright...
Well...I'll try to make it on time and do my interview with all of my might.
But it's embarrassing - I know the drill nevertheless
I think... I always think I could reach up to success
I always worry, but what is there to be worried about?
I'm gonna make it on time...no doubt about that.

everything's going to be alright
I'll make my ride on time...

I can't stand it...
I want to perform on stage with some positivity in mind
I must use some of my strength
I'm such a wimp though...
Oh I should try to build some courage
But I can't stand my ground...I can't stand on stage
I can't stand it...I can't stand it...at all.
I must stand...tall
Or I'll slip and fall...
I am so selfish...but tell me:
How do I stand out?

I can't stand it...
I want to stand out, but how?

Its Not to late For Change contest

If it was 1942
Relationships would carry substantial views
Since about 1983
Things have changed drastically

Backwards, zig- zaged, upside-down
Destroyed traditions have become muted sound
Men are getting milk for free
While feasting on all the meat they can eat
They have no reason to buy the cow or compliment it with a vow

Trying out the goods before paying full price
A generation who hears the word marriage and thinks twice
I’d have to blame it on the 60's babies
They started getting divorced and made everything crazy

Now what sense is it to have a child and than move in?
Not to mention it’s a biblical sin
God’s word never changed His people suddenly did
He wanted parents to be married when they had a kid

They use to ship a girl away that got pregnant before she began to show
Now there are many men that pick up and just go
We are in an age that is afraid to fully commit
Yet we have no problem doing everything else with charm and wit
The results of this lifestyle has caused nothing but chaos and pain
How many people go to court for child support every day and are in need of financial gain

Let’s not forget the teens that have followed in this lead
They meet some teenage boy and think that love means having his seed
Children are raising children while young adults are living together before its time
What’s the point of marriage if you have already drank the whole bottle of wine

If you think this is normal or that marriage is for the lame
Wait another 20 years and watch how damaged and filled with shame
Our future children will wonder why no one stays together for long
They will write it in poems and sing it in their songs

It was not just a religious belief it was the right thing to do
Fall in love get married then have a baby or two
Women are wasting their lives with a man for years
If you live together and aren’t married he will end up bringing you to tears

And if you do get married what is there to look forward to, tax right offs I suppose
Because by the time you have married you have formed thorns around your precious rose
There were no talk shows featuring “you are not the father” back then
People had one partner until the very end

Let’s not forget about the problem with STD's
They run ramped like birds in vibrant trees
Before long people will have to carry a safety card
To prove their privates aren’t strangely scarred
All avoidable, yet it keeps getting worse
When will we wake up and finally hit reverse?

Thank You Babymomma's

You told me you were pregnant
My words were at a loss
I had to grow up really fast
No matter what it cost
I felt I had a purpose
Responsibility
I made a choice to be a dad
And did so willingly
I just wanna thank you all
For bringing in this world
Each little blessing I've received
My babyboy's and girls
So when this life gets difficult
And burdens start to show
Let me help you carry on
Together we can grow
I thank my Babymomma's
Without them theres no kids
Grateful i will always be
As long as i shall live

Stuck

I feel like I'm 17
Yet I feel like I'm 8
I just need to prove that
I've gone through the gate

I find myself stuck
between a child
and an adult

I don't know which way to go
So right now I'm staying here
And when I'm ready
I will choose
The right path for me

Flowers And Front Porch Steps

Flowers and Front Porch Steps
I come from the painted front porch of my first house
That is tainted with my laughter like the colors
It blooms in the summertime, like the weeds in the cracks of the sidewalk
That the kids used to pretend were flowers

Well eventually we realized that the flowers were indeed weeds.
And I come from the weeds that bloomed around our minds like the crowns we used to wear
The vines that grew up and up and around
And the flowers that grew inside ourselves that withered away in the storm that destroyed our toy houses and cars

I come from the drunken chant of my father through his blurry vision
And the whistling chorus of his whispers that shatter into shouts on that night in the snow
I pace my room back and forth trying to rewrite the chorus and learn the words by heart
Just to have a song to sing

The words come out right for the first time in my life and I hope to God it’s real this time
And I come from the voices that sang me to sleep every night despite him
That bloom like the flower weeds in the cracks of the sidewalk
And as I stand on the tainted and painted front porch of my first house
It feels nice to be home.

Frosted Mini-Wheats

Like a frosted mini-wheat there is always two sides
As they will continually compete for in whom one abides
Oh that kid side is there but that grown up is there too
But these are not a pair in fact the exact opposite is true

The child is so impulsive especially when the adult is not round
He just wants to live and he doesn't care about being found
But the adult is very different as he has grown over the years
In knowing what is meant by experiencing those same tears

So rarely do they meet this odd couple that is forever within
Each finding it hard to compete as Glory doesn't hang around with sin
It's like they take turns especially in not being the vigilant adult
For the little kid will always yearn which I so often try to holt

But that's where God's Grace comes in and He takes control
Smacking his grinning face and therein securing your soul
God knows your every grain and He knows your exact oat
Hey kid, stop being so vain, shut up, sit down and just take note

These dreams

Dreams don’t occur very often
When they materialize they are deep and terrifying
I can't stop these delusions
They just happen
Trying to forget
Hoping they will eventually fade away
Or that's what I keep telling myself

Running down the alley
An unknown man in black is chasing me
He wants me dead
Bullets are flying past me
Jumping into a building I start climbing the stairs
Hearing his footsteps behind me
Adrenaline pumps through my veins
I keep running
Not knowing where to go
There is nowhere to hide

Running across the roof tops
The man is still behind me
He lifts a sawed-off shotgun
BOOM
A shot is fired
I fall down screaming in pain
Hit mid thigh I struggle to move
He continues to walk towards me
Trying to crawl away
One hand over the other
Everything is blurry
Slowly I move but the pain intensifies
The enigma of a man grabs my shoulder
Forcefully flipping me over
I see the gun between my eyes
He pulls the trigger

Terrified I wake up sweating
Screaming in terror
These nightmares are so real
When I wake up the images leave
Out of my reach
Out of my control
But not out of mind

I try to fall asleep again
Hoping never to recover that nightmare
Remaining in the lighter parts of my dreamscape
Ensuring the darkness does not return
My mind is too scared to go back
It is too much to handle

Letting Go

Poet:  Ken Jordan
Poem:  Letting Go
Edited by:  Sparkle Jordan
written:  December/2014

Child
let me tell
you
som'n,

You done
all
you could

to
instill
good morals
and
character

in
yo child.

Listen
girl,

You know
kids

think they
grown
at
eighteen -

Anxious
to do
whatever,

without there
parents permission -

Yeah
mentally,

that's where
yo Son
is -

That's why
I say
honey child,

don't take
what
he says

or do
personally,

you gave
it
Yo  All.

Now
it's time,

to
let go,
and
Let God -

Girl
don't
you know,

yo Son
will
find his
way?

believe
THAT!

Time's Weavings/My Broodings

Shut inside windows open w i d e
I age 1,000 years
To your one.

The Past turns in its light circles upon the Present,
Inscribing itself into memories
That will lend their textures to the future -
Pains and pleasures
Loves and losses
The bitter and the sweet -
All will fall together and become tomorrow,
Then break apart and cycle on again.

Outdoors, beyond a window full of November clouds
A child is running gaily past,
While up the street with ancient, measured tread
A crone approaches.
Youth and Age will pass and cycle 'round again.

I turn gray thoughts over in my mind
Composing poems as my significant others
Drift in and out of the rooms of my life,
Now babe Now child Now youth Now adult
Now gone
Friends and lovers help weave the warp together,
Light and shadow chase each other through the rooms,
Whispering the secrets of change.

Shadow

Look at that little girl
With the round joy-filled face
A shadow of my happy past
Dancing with young grace

Before this calamity began
Before that wretched time
Came pleasure and fun
And warm laughing chimes

No sorrows or troubles
No need to frown or cry
But as they say
You don't realise what you have
Until it is taken away

My past was so happy
While the future is unclear
My destiny is in certain
A good reason to fear

Who am I
And where will I go
Where will my fate take me
To friend or to foe

How will I move forward
Knowing what I left behind
Was a graceful young child
With peace in her mind

Look at that little girl
With the round joy-filled face
A shadow of my happy past
Dancing with young grace
