An angel gave wings to you so you can fly
Never will life pass you by
Toward the sky you will guide
Hovering above the world so high
On a cloud you sit as other's sigh
Never will you fall from the sky
Your angels taught you how to fly

W-hen the fullness of time had come, Jesus was born behind an Inn in a cave-like stable.
I-n the Inn there was no room for the Son of God, no room for the Saviour of men.
S-tar was shining so bright above the stable for the shepherds to find their way to Him.
E-ven angels proclaimed His birth to those shepherds "Unto you is born this day."
M-anger is where Mary and Joseph first laid him. It was filled with hay.
E-very animal there must have known that their Creator had come that day.
N-o one knew the depth of love God had, to give His Son to dwell among men.
S-ame star guided three kings from the Orient, who studied the stars and heavens.
T-hese wise men from the East came saying "Where is He that is born King"
I-n their hands they brought him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrr.
L-ike these three wise men, wise men still seek him today!
L-ove is the reason that God sent His only Begotton Son into the world to save us.
S-eeking for you and me, yes God was seeking for us because we had left Him.
E-veryone, yes, all we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone to his own way.
E-ach one has to make his on decision to follow Him or not to follow Him.
K-ing, born to be a King. King of the ages. King of the past. King of the future.
H-eaven, He came from Heaven to earth to show us the right way.
I-niquity, the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
M-elody, He gives us a sweet melody, we sing many songs of praise to Him.
T-ree, A Christmas tree, the love that Jesus had for us, to die on a tree.
O-nly one life and how soon it passes. Only in life can we accept His Love.
D-eliverance, He came from Heaven to preach deliverance to the captives.
A-cknowlege Him and accept Him. Behold now is the accepted time.
Y-ou, Yes, this Christmas Love was for You. Will You accept this love?

Buried secrets…pulled out of dank soil and shoved into the light
Unjustified accusations, exhausting and expensive to fight
Tainted and tattered relationships flutter in and endless wind
Impossible to undo or explain, especially to a young mind, closed within
Wistful memories of easy smiles and open affection
Innocence gone; hatred coaxed by lies and deception
Love too strong and proud to let go, perceived as little more than a show
Lost for words as his disrespect slowly smolders and grows
Lingering awkward anger, followed by confusion and sighs
Each hateful word and hostile look, thrown like daggers from eyes I don’t recognize
Torn between a mother’s hope and helpless frustration
He is resolute; seeing only black and white…allowing no gray in this situation
I have given up explaining, reasoning, and rationale that falls on deaf ears
My heart breaking with each failed attempt; desperately fighting back tears
Gone forever is the boy I knew only months ago
Oblivious to my intent and resolute to his own; my heart tells me to say no,
…But I will let him go

To my son I will never see
By WTC 2005
Through the loss of an unborn son
An unknown journey had just begun
The place to where I did not know
My only comfort, together we did go
My pain and sorrow could never compare
The physical torment we did not share
The doctor’s scalpel, she alone did bear
Is there a reason you had to take
What we together, our love did make
I still believe, but must confess
Many doubts, still cross my chest
But when I look, up to the sky
I still don't know the reason why
But in the end God's will be done
A lesson learned from an unborn son

Her song was too beautiful for ordinary words
Ending it on a sweet note that no heart ever forgot
Remembering her for offering a priceless gift
Seems right to praise her for a big heart without greed
Pop music and opera were the two things she loved
Immense was forgiveness when wrong made her sad
Regret for not having loved enough was a silly guilt
Incredible was her enthusiasm towards all children
Total discipline she demanded like soldiers in combat
All but pain mom withheld from me, trust was the essence
Lording over others with equality was pure nobility
Illness invaded her body, but she battled it with fortitude
Vigilance averted danger in foreseen things others ignored
Extraordinary was the faith she was placed in me learning values
Another mom couldn't have been be more thoughtful that she was
"Nonna" the grandchildren called her when they came to visit
Dear were those happy angels she proudly hugged and kissed
Seeing her fragility towards the end, one thought of her death
Though she suffered, she wished to share a delightful thought
Innovating was her style of looking at elegant things
Love secured by confidence, was an embrace of joy
Limpid eyes as skies gazed over to impart comfort
" Live with honesty " was a motto that identified her integrity
Indeed her words were full of fairness and humanity
Vengeance never shone on that face of endless humility
Endurance was learned by kindness, not by rage
Spiritual advice was a spring of lasting knowledge

Just as a man
Of joy and laughter not filled within
Speak not of the pain and destruction you felt
Held it in all these years...why, we could have helped
Up, we could have held you...but you never spoke of it, for this was unknown
All of it...all of it...none it known.

“S” is for sweet, a sweet little boy is he.
“H” is for handsome, or at least he is to me.
“A” is for always, for he’s always on my mind.
“D” is for dear to me, no other love I’ll find.
“R” is for rotten, though just a little bit.
“A” is for all boy, that, I must admit.
“C” is for cuddly, when it’s time to go down to sleep.
“H” is for happy, that is, how happy he makes me.
Even though sleepless nights,
Began his life on earth,
Who could ever comprehend,
How much this baby’s worth?
And tears once wept for this little one,
Have given way to sunny smiles.
God has brought him through the fire and again,
And will bring him through many more trials.

Two hearts came together to beat as one
Real love that overflowed producing a son
Every fathers dream, every mother’s true joy
Years we spent wishing for a precious boy
Vulnerable and innocent you had a certain charm
Only I couldn’t protect you keeping you from harm
Now two hearts ache, an unyielding pain
Absorbed in our grief almost going insane
No pain is like the one losing you brought
The reasons god took you was all that we sought
Heaven cradles our baby in arms full of love
Only ours are now empty unlike the angels above
Not once did our baby ever open his eyes
Yearning to hear, but yet knowing he wouldn’t cry
Forever that day’s memory will be vivid in my mind
Always haunting us, wondering if relief we will find
Visions of his lifeless tiny body upon his birth
Only made me take note and total my true worth
Regretting our first good-bye is also our last to you
Son your forever in our mind, and in our hearts LOVE IS TRUE

Alexander, since before you were born, I knew I would
Love you more than words can ever say
Every day I thank God for the blessing He sent my way
Xtra care to keep you was a price I was willing to pay
And as you get older you will learn, a mother's love is hard to explain,
Not everyone will feel the same; but always know you make me proud every day
Dear son, whether we are together or apart, keep in mind that
Every hour of every day, you will always have a piece of my heart
Remember even in moments of strife, you will forever be an important part of my life

Sensationally super, and Sagittarius son of John Spence
Pleasantly personable, and matriarch Maud Spence’s son
Enabling, exquisite, eloquent, evolving and enterprising
Naturally nice, no nonsense, and a nutritionist nobleman
Carrot consumer, constant comrade and cold-war veteran
Equitably enlightened, and just an elegant eggnog taster
Jumping Jupiter, a jubilant sundae lover, and just a jewel!
Comments: During my twenty plus years of military service I was always called
Spence, J. That's just the way the government does business. This acrostic is
about Spence, J. It's crafted on a combination of alliteration, assonance and
consonance sounding words. Eggnog at Christmas is my favorite. Having a
Sunday afternoon sundae at the ice cream parlor is oh so tasty. Wow! I just love
it!!! Anyway, here are some comments on writing an acrostic. The basic acrostic
poem is formed by writing a word vertically down the page, which may also be
the topic of the poem. It’s recommended to use one letter per line, and the
beginning letters should be all capital ones. Each line of the poem should begin
with the letter on that line and the line should pertain to the word or title being
used. Some may recommend using one word or a phrase which does not have
to rhyme; however, one may move beyond the basic acrostic form and use a
complete thought with a rhyming sequence. It’s also recommended to use
adjectives and phrases that describe the word or subject of the acrostic. Finally,
one may take the quantum leap and write a double acrostic where the first and
last letters of each line are the same.

MY Son Ross
My son has a special purpose in life. I am sure of it. His life was spared thrice.
Yesterday, he was a babe in arms; the days and years have passed way too fast.
Somehow, without permission (lol) the boy turned into a man, a good man.
Only yesterday, he went off to school…we vacationed and camped. Everywhere!
Next thing I knew, he was graduating from high school and started working.
Ross, the baby in the family, is going to join the Air Force in ten days…far away.
My son has optimism and has set career goals; I love Ross and shall miss him terribly.
Soon, his life will change. I can see him in my minds eye: exercise and more exercise.
Strong and honorable, my son shall go forth and do some good in the world…love, peace.
