The Sun Rises--The Moon Sets

The Sun Rises- -The Moon Sets

Think of life, the cycle of
How radiation can support life, enough heat to
Ensure a stable self sustaining system.

Something like our RA, peasants producing
Under this celestial god. He may be dull at times, but
Never far from active.

Rising to all inhabitants.
Imitated by many, but none can capture
Something so surreal. For many hours
Everything thrives into productivity only to
Soon fade.

Telescoping images of you in the night
How warm is your glow soft blue white
Ever circling the world we call home

Master of revolution, elliptical, precise
Omnipresent, effervescence
Orb of the night, silent in flight
Never failing, glowing light

Shimmering beauty, through magnified eye
Emitting a wondrous, magnificent sight
Torched your surface, by meteor showers
Shine again tomorrow, I'm forever yours

LIFTING THE FOG

Like milk from blue mountains' swollen breasts, the fog
Intertwines with pungent campfire smoke, a blue mist
Frescoing my quiet river valley's primeval lap.
Twilight tiptoes, surreptitiously, spying on secluded tryst;
Interlaced, grape and honeysuckle canopy overhead,
Noddng blossoms dripping sweet fragrance,
Granting nectared kisses my lips cannot resist.

The blue moon peers through hazy clouds, then turns
Hiding his eyes from lovers unashamed upon the ground;
Emotion rising in his core, he looks again and sadly yearns.

Furtively, he draws foggy blankets o'er us two,
Orchestrating sequestered solitude until
Golden sunlight warms the earth uncov'ring me and you.

The Sun Rises- -The Moon Sets

These were set in motion from the beginning of time.
Heavens abound in each of their glory, power sublime.
Every excursion that they set upon revolves in rhyme.

Solar orb that secures life upon this planet we dwell.
Universally seen around our globe, for all to tell,
Never tiring it revolves, captured within its cell.

Rising up from its core, flares of powerful streams.
I respect what has risen from the sunny beams.
Sharing the glory that it has upon everyone, it seems.
Evident by the life that it supports even in dreams,
Solar star of daylight hours continue as nature deems.

Till nightfall approaches while another completes the set.
Helping to guide travelers for centuries the positions to get,
Evening ignites different phases upon this satellites debt.

Monthly revolutions of this celestial body sway the hours.
Orbital bliss has spoken richly along with romantic flowers.
Opening souls in sensuality and fulfilling romantic powers.
New moon to which many have fell into its magical showers.

Splendor of the night as it falls to set upon the new dawns light.
Exemplary versions follow a pattern, which marvels natural sight.
Take notice of what you may be missing each upcoming night.
Said, I’ve heard, old sailors delight, shining, enchantingly bright.

SUMMER MOON

Slowly pulsing through glittered haze
Under cloudscape, her locks blow wild
Misty the blushed roses, ablaze
Moon of summer, warmth of hayrides
Enchanting peach fragrance of the night
Reveal your glory, dear chromed fay,

My eyes chase a Selene’s delight
Over hills wrapped in flamed crochet.
Oh, sleep denies a lullaby
No matter how you beam, goodbye!

Harvest Moons

Hanging high in the autumn's ebon sky,
A Harvest Moon is so majestic to this beholder's eye!
Rays gently caress God's good Earth far below.
Vast is the reach of its calming, mellow glow.
Each silent passing of that eternal orb stirs feelings of romance,
Sharing it with my love as it traverses the heavens' vast expanse!
Trees raising arms as if in homage, clad in brilliant robes of gold,
Mark the passing of the Harvest Moon as they have from old.
Orbiting Mother Earth as it has done since the dawn of creation.
Octogenarian tho' I am, it yet fills my being with inspiration!
None but He could sate this mere mortal's soul with such a view.
So soon, all too soon, I must bid the Harvest Moon a sad adieu.

T he Moon at full has many names both fierce and comingly,

O bliging us May's Full Flower Moon brings tulips to fair skies.
N uptials in June's fair Strawberry Moon, bring lovers to new highs

I n hot July's the Thunder Moon seems to nag, scold, and chastise.
N ot be outdone, August has two, Full Sturgeon Moon and Blue Moon,

P reparing us for fall's Harvest Moon, where lovers often croon.
I n woods deep the deer hide from October's Hunter moon so bright.

Summer Moon

S taring at the mountains, I raise my eyes
U p to where the stars are glittering
M esmerizingly in summer’s skies.
M idnight’s beauty to my soul is singing.
E ternity is staring back at me,
R esiding in this radiance I see.

M yriads of nights like this have come and gone.
O ther nights will follow; the moon will bring
O palescent grace to heaven’s song.
N ever-ending rhapsodies shall nature sing.

Sun and Moon

Today, I have finished.
Tonight, your hunger is diminished.

Now, your anguish has been eradicated.
Emancipated.
Liberated.
Your way of life is completed,
Your way of strife is defeated,

Like the rising sun, I shined down on your world,
A life of ignorance, a life you so quickly hurled,
And like the sun, I had exposed your vices,

I have shown you that charity suffices
Loving, worshiping, and making sacrifices
Lasting throughout the ages, His message is now complete
And His promise fulfilled
Has He ever sent you a message leading you to deceit?
And His promise was never killed

I am leaving you shortly,
Lost, you will never be, but rather quite courtly
Leaving you with the Book of signs and wonders
A fiery law to shake your enemies like thunder

Lastly I leave behind my successor
A wise young man, a Master
He will be your example and a mercy in the upcoming disaster

Men of the world, he will succeed me as the moon succeeds the Sun
Under a starless night, when darkness has begun
He will be shine down on you with my light
A night, where the only light will be his
Managing the dark world with a light so dim
Ending this period of day is a period of night
Death in the air, a fire about to ignite

Resting amongst you, he will be a man of peace
A man of courage, whose eloquence will only increase
Stopping only when his time is at cease
Underneath the dagger, he will decease
Loved by the Lord and so pleased

And in that dark night my light will never disappear
Lost in the clouds the moon will only reappear
Light in the sky, it will forever help the community
All has been promised in His book of Immunity
His message forever complete, forever in purity

Summer Moon

Slowly rising towards
Unseen wisps of clouds
Murky shadows projected
Muffled light reflected
Endlessly cycles by
Roving Summer's sky
Mornings hide Selene's face
Ongoing celestial race
Only by Apollo outshone
Never travels alone
