This chain of couplets was also composed for a wall post in our science rm/lab for the kids to easily memorize or familiarize with some of the world’s famous scientists and philosophers in history. I also wish to thank my dearest friend, Andrea who encouraged me to write an ABC poem like this. Huh! It made me sweat a bit! ;))

There is a place

There is a place you can go that is full of only love and Warmth .
you will be surrounded by a light that shines from the Heavens ,
Sprinkles of Silver and Gold.

This place is filled with brilliant colors of Purple , vibrant Gold, all colors.
not one Color is less significant then another ,
for every color is equal here .

This place is surrounded by the beauty of different Flowers.
All flowers have significance here . No one Flower is better then another .
All Flowers are equal here .

It is important you know , you can cry here , and should cry as often as needed .
For the tears will cleanse your Soul and give the Flowers water to grow.
No one Tear is insignificant here , every tear has value and not one is better then another .

money holds no value , Where you live , what you own, has no significance here .

You will be surrounded by a beautiful light that shines from the Heavens .
A shining warm light will encircle you and allow nothing to hurt you .
Hate will be shed at the door light a old jacket of no use.

There is a place of beauty and Worth.
This place will not be found on Earth .
It is a place where no one person is better then another .

Battle of the words

Bravery is the father of fears
Dreams are distant cousins of nightmares
Hope is the sister of prayers
Every night shame lays down and gets screwed by despair
Pollution abuses Mrs. atmosphere
It's a battle between personality and reality
But obviously nobody cares
Maybe it's because big tough is the uncle of little scared
Planning is deeply in love with prepared
Procrastination is the biggest enemy of determination
Ignorance is jealous of realization
Sometimes strength can get sneak attacked by temptation
Silence can never defeat a great proclamation
When the brain disagrees with the heart
The body dies of complications

Love your self...

I AM ME

12th June 1979
JAMAICA

I am the liquid in my tears
And the refreshment in my glass of water
I am the song I sing
And the meaning of a poem
I am the place I stand
And I am a helping hand
I am tears of joy
I am joy in grief
I am a dewdrop upon a leaf
I – am – me

What Fear Fed On

Fear
The venom that rains
Got you
Drowning
In the desert
And a spirit
Weak in brevity
Strong but unbelieving
That’s what fear fed on
Fear fed on you

Society cuts
Flying wings
As to drain
The courageous soul
Of its hope
And then
People die
Rich with power
Power they never used
That’s what fear fed on
Fear fed on you

I see plain pain
In your eyes
Hurt laughing at you
You’re afraid
To ever love again
Because your past
Caused you wounds
So you walk agape
Running
In a cold escape
That’s what fear fed on
Fear fed on you

I see your dried tears
Inscribed
On your broken face
But a determination
You’ve been robbed of
That’s what fear fed on
Fear fed on you

So will you
Forever sulk
Forever your conscience bulk
In a pessimist bask?

Or will you
Your mantle take
And fear forever shake
For you live dead
When fear drives your head

That’s what fear fed on
Fear fed on you

keep movin on

All the things we go through, all the pain we feel, and all the wars we fight we keep marching on!
For all the scars we have, for all the tears we shed we keep marching on!
For all the pain we hide, for all the times we hide all our emotions we keep marching forward!
For all the times we feel so alone and know one to belong to we keep moving on!
We have all these fear all these nightmares that come true but know matter what we keep going on!
Things we don’t expect, things we didn’t think could happen might just come true but we just have to keep moving on!
Know matter what happens in the future and what happened in the past just have to keep moving on with life!

the reviving and rhymic word

when you are down to nothing, God is up to something that will make your everything.

just have faith as you live on this earth because faith is the substance that maintains our spiritual balance.

it sees the invisible, receives the incredible and makes possible the impossible.

it restores all lost hope and revives all crushed dreams.

it is the root of all religion. without it, we are nothing better than the stones or any non-living thing.

so let us have strength and faith as we live on earth.

thirst and hunger for it. when you find it, keep it so that on that day you will proudly say

i have run the race and kept the faith.

it was given to you on the very first of your breath on this earth at your birth up until to your death.

you just have to ignite it by using the word.

the word of God is like a rhythm.

it enters the body like a seed and when it mixes with the spirit, bears fruit like the energy produced in aerobic respiration.

the word of God does not deform!

it informs!

it reforms

and transforms your old form into a new form.

it does not convict the mind

but it converts the mind.

so just like i Fred have said, don't be afraid but take this word as your sword and enjoy this world

                                     onemind
