Let Me Go

You have caged me for too long
I want you to just let me go,
I have to spread these feathered wings
I need to feel the wind's blow.

You know that I love you truly
I said that I would never leave,
I want to see the rain's dance
Not just sit here and perceive.

The scene never changes, day after day
I want to go where white roses bloom,
I have never seen an ocean's wave
And neither have you, I assume.

I need to see the autumn tree's change
I want to see the snowflake's glisten,
I am wishing on the stars as they fall
This is my dream, so please just listen.

I want to fly in the sky's blue
I need to feel the sun's burn,
When I have experienced these wonders
I promise that I will return.

World above the clouds

Far away from this bonded crowd,
Far away from these layers of
shroud,
Oh wings of the air glide me away,
To the world, world above the
clouds.

To the giant mountains of mist,
Where sparkling houses of rain
will
be built,
World beneath where would be
moving,
And sun rays where will be cold
and soothing.

Where I won’t be bound by laws,
And I could speak freely about
the
things I love aloud,
Yeah to the world with cloud
above the clouds,
Where everything just everything
will be allowed.

Sliding on morning dews that stays
till night,
Diving in the night’s sky that looks
like morning light,
With no paths to follow,
I’ll glide free and fast,
Yawing, pitching, bouncing,
shouting,
Like the endless penumbra it’s
unknown where I’ll last
Yeah endless it is,
And it’s unknown where I’ll last

Moments In Time

The sweetest sounds of burning trees
A gentle stroking in the breeze
The calm has lasted past the storm
Cloudy visions, Satan’s roar
Too many sights have passed my way
A time found only in the haze
The softest screams are running bare
My aching bones creak as I stare

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark

The battle’s started at the end
No one is coming to repent
The sinners grab their wine from prey
No judgment calling here to stay
The sport is reckless to be told
The one is laughing at his souls
It falters nowhere to be sure
The power grows forevermore
Like a spirit in the wind
I have no say in where you’ve been
But cross the line to come to me
And pay the price for ecstasy

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark.

a flower

a flower I am not
a contest I do not enter
I am a free spirit to share the world
of knowledge and a life for a moment
the wrench of eyes dropping tears
a nose to smell the wonder of bloom
as the tree soon to convey the memories of linden and teas
I walk the streets
the white narcissus of my teens past will bring me to a field long gone in the mountains of Andorra
an edelweiss to mix with your champagne
a flower wall I do not dance to your rhythms but my own
a voice to tell nothing but ears listening to operas my heart is full
the dandelion a miracle of generosity as the forager need to eat with the season.

Nature's Goddess Came To Greet

Nature's Goddess Came To Greet

I stood upon a new dawn
When life was on the mend
And Spring burst in my heart
  Nature's glory became my friend
Night stars and moon gave delight
As if life commanded this show
Brilliant rays cast upon the trees
A movie brightened dark the night

The forest spoke its worth
  Creatures danced in sweet time
A pulse livened the glowing scene
  Death and birth both sublime
Earth sent spirits to reveal
  Stardust lying, lightly all around
Sights and sounds marvelous to behold
  Mysteries slept in time surreal

Blast of knowledge entered in haste
  Trees spoke with renewed vigor
Nightbirds sang in softened tunes
  She appeared a glowing figure
Nature's goddess came to greet
  Lowly man now most confused
A gift rarely ever given man
Goddess showering presents at man's feet

Set deep in this majestic night dream
Earth, Man and Nature eternally a team

Groundswell Girl - Named by JB

Enter a storybook tale
Where I can be
The heroine you hail
Lucid dreams of soft reflection
A touch heated with lust and desired protection
A breathe a gasp as we succeed
Join the fairytale with me
Valiant night within dark eyes
the right movement and I make them shine
like moonlight on the steamy hot spring
care to follow for a little dip with me
Trailing like the water at my fingertips
Grasp me around my hips
As close as the breeze on my skin
Whisper lies as I let you in
Lips mumbling up my thighs
bare heart exposed to the sky
fire burning in my veins
Am I a mistress of this lust or simply a slave
Trembling with desire
Take me till we've lost count of the hours
enter this storybook tale
Where I can be the heroine you hail

The Lily

The grove within the forest leads to a river,
Where sings the frogs, dragonflies, and birds
And there they die away, quietly, welcomed by their young
Decomposing in the ground, their smells lost within others

The lily, drenched in dew, dries slowly in the sun
Near the water, soft, sweet-scented, true
She dries more and more, till dawn gifts her gloss
And again, she has beyond what she needs

Dripping, crying, the darkness cannot consume her elegance
Even in dying days, she shrivels with eternal fragrance

Freedom In A Frame

Once I saw a lovely frame
Rough and Tumble was its name
It was a captured moment of freedom
A moment of nature at its peak.

I saw the waves in this frame
It's frenzy, won the dancing game
Beautiful blue waters invading brown earth.
The water is like a child; free
Always expanding its width
Yet it is nothing like man
Because It's freedom cannot be restrained
And it has no responsibility to chaos.
It wrecks the beach
Swallows the trees.
It is excited at its freedom.

Freedom again is as the wind
That raises the dust into my eyes
And scatters the dirt at the market place.

Freedom is the black cloud that
Travels with the rain scaring sunshine
With rumbling sound.

I was pleased how my mind's eye
Read the captured moment of time;
Nature in its reign
But I was glad because it was
Rather Freedom, in a frame.

The Frog And The Butterfly

The Frog And The Butterfly.

The little frog lived in a well
In a garden filled with flowers
One day he saw a butterfly
Who spoke to him for hours
The butterfly would tell him tales
Of the big wide world outside
But he only knew his little well
So he thought that she had lied.

One day she lent the frog her wings
And he took them for a while
Though he had never flown before
And it wasn't quite his style.
That frog he flew above the well
And saw the painted flowers
Then flew above a lovely lake
And felt all life's sweet power.

Then he flew above an ocean
Stretching out a million miles
He flew above some fluffy clouds
And his face took on a smile
When he come back to that old well
He told that butterfly
‘I’ll not live in that well again
I will be free until I die’

Freedom from the Wall

Clouds unite
they end all fight
darkness prevails
the bride with no veil
to see with no eyes
why do we despise
as the world does turn
our minds they do churn
thinking too much
my mind loses clutch
and the wall does grow
so high i cannot throw
my words at your mind
they fall short then behind
frustration sets in
as the sun goes to fin
the darkness will win
not i as this is my sin
i will glance with no stare
find the pain that is there
and the wind will be fair
as it carries my prayer
one day you will feel
what i meant to steal
as the darkness will peel
my pain from this real
communicate i cant
i try but its faint
i turn on my pain
i turn on my pain
i turn on my pain
i cannot regain
i want to show the day
that the sun will remain
as the clouds unite
they don't end all fight
it is i that must cite
it is i that must fight
for only i can prevail
only minds can grow stale
if not used you will trail
if not used you will fail
if not seen its your grail
if not noticed your in hell
i will try to tell all
i must try to not fall
only you will be seen
in my eyes of ever clean
that the tears will one day fall
down my cheek in all glory
as they will be of not pain
but rejoice as i gain
and rejoice we shall reign
to the water of no shame
as i finally can blame
no one else for my rain
and all the world will see
it was i that was freed
it was i with no creed
that was released to bleed

Change

Like a tsunami from the ocean
I want to churn everything, inside out
But rue the fact that,
Like a bubble in the air
Have to be content with only
Being fidgety inside myself.

When the rocks try to stop
The natural flow of river, downwards
Even the transparent water, gets bloodied,
Breaking its head on the rocks,
I can feel its squirming and quibbling
But can remain only a mute spectator.

Whenever I feel oppressed, in any form
My heart seethes and fumes
My blood Inside tends to boil over
Only to become cold again, why?
Perhaps it is not in my nature to retaliate,
Then, am I condemned remaining wounded, perpetually?

Unable to do much about oppressive relations,
I pine away with my grief
Only wishing I could also free myself
And others of the oppression and the pain it inflicts
And enjoy the happiness and freedom
endowed by nature, in relations.

But looking at nature’s infinite vastness, where
Despite tight bonding and discipline in every bit
All relationships out there enjoy
Innate freedom, harmony and fairness
Then Wounds inflicted by the experience of oppression,
Fill me with jealousy and pain even harder and deeper.

Hope is life, maybe quite dreamlike
The change, which would destroy
the current forms of oppressions
and build relationships, free and fair, anew
seems to be a far cry, as of now.

the volcanoes are also destined to remain
dormant inside, for centuries, before they erupt.

Just Be

Sometimes I admire the littlest things
A simple rock. A blade of grass.
They need no future goals, no tax exemptions
They don’t need to go anywhere or be anything
They just are.

Sometimes, especially when I’m reading life insurance policies,
I envy the rocks and the grass
And try to be like them for a moment.
I sit perfectly still and give myself to the wind-
And it whispers in my ear:
Just be.
And for that moment I don’t need to go anywhere or be anything.
And at the snap of my fingers,
All the complex widgets and gizmos that make up my life
Fold into paper airplanes and fly off in the wind.

FREE WILL: ILLUSION OR REALITY

Are we really free?
Free to chose to:
Go wherever we please?
Do whatever we desire?
Be with whom we wish?
Pick whichever thing we fancy?
Without coercion
Without ever being obliged by an unseen force in
A predetermined or predestined way?

How?

How can we have free will to be wherever we
Wish to be
When:
Bound to earth we are with the
Heavy chains of gravity
Obliged, incessantly to follow it
And move
Around its circumference
Around the sun
Around the galaxy
Around the universe,
Having no chance ever to escape its
Deterministic laws?

Are we free?

Have we got a free will?
If yes, when did it start?
The day we were born or later on?
For the day we were born
We knew nothing of:
What we were
Who we were
What we wanted
What we needed
What we desired

Subject were we to our bodily organs and
Their functions
No control had we over:
Our heart
Our liver
Our kidneys
Our spleen
Our blood circulation
Our brain
And had no idea of
How to defend ourselves against
Deceases
How to produce blood
How to digest

We had not any control then and we have
No more control now as adults

How then are we free?

In what respect?

Is it because we choose A over B?
To be here or there?
To do this or that?

What if our choices are just the
Result of the working of nature in us?
The outcome of ideas and tendencies,
Implanted in our mind and soul by Man or
Mother nature?

Doesn’t our acceptance of free will seems
Like declaring:
The earth goes aroud the sun because
Of its free will
Or
A stone falls as a result of
Its free will
Or
A seed spouts because of its free will
Or
The salmon, after venturing for years in
The ocean, returns to the river it came to life,
To lay its eggs, out of free will?

Or is free will the result of
Our Lord the creator and creator of the universe
As they say?

If that is the case then we may ask:

Would the wisdom of our God entrust His creation to us?
To our free will to do as we please?

If the answer is yes, then
What the result of such freedom would be on
The world God has created?

Whatever the answer may be, the mystery
Will linger

For

We, know nothing for certain
Hence
We just believe!

A Shady Tree

I know its the summer time because of how naturally
Your beauty compliments the caress of a summer breeze
As I watch the world from beneath a shady tree
I take in the delightful comfort of everything I see
But in the same breath I am holding up my hands
Lord will you please give me back the things I no longer have
They are even more a part of me now that they are gone
As the sun falls below where the horizon is still holding on
Somewhere between the falling light and a star lit night
Is a dream that last forever and will never say goodbye
As the wind gently blows through the brush and shakes the leaves
It begins to hum a melody that I want to sing
At that very moment I smile for all the joy I have
Its so uplifting for me to see melancholy dance
Soon the morning sun will rise and capture my eyes
As I watch the hand of God paint a brand new sky
With every stroke of color I swallow all my pride
And I find a new place to dream of endless times
If I should ever get to the place I left my broken heart
Only then will I believe this brand new day will start
Again Im reminded of why my heart beats so restlessly
Only the speed of thought and my soul beneath this tree

Home of the Slaves

Land of the free
Home of the slaves
The blood, sweat and tears of my ancestors resonate
Amongst the soil where they were slain
I’m hearing their struggle
I’m feeling their pain
I can’t imagine being forced to part from my family
All for massa’s gain
So I pay homage to those who promoted change

People like every slave who tried to escape
Nat Turner, Ms Carlotta, Harriet Tubman
And the safe houses who were in accord
And peg leg Joe with his song
Follow the drinking gourd.

People like, the disregarded - those thrown overboard
And who was dismissed and defamed
The ones who were stripped of their soul, their pride, their names

The list could go on
The full will never be told
So I pay homage to others who were bold
Like John Brown, The Freedom Riders, Sojourner Truth
Ida B Wells, Phyllis Wheatley, Maya Angelou,
Langston Hughes and Charles Drew

George Washington Carver, Ruby Bridges
Booker T Washington and Mary McCleod Bethune
Charles Houston, Ralph Bunche, Fredrick Douglass
WEB Dubois, Paul Robeson, Ralph Abernathy
Benjamin Banneker, Marcus Garvey and Crispus Attucks
Who’s death by the way
Symbolized the American lie
You cant declare the rights of all men
While the people of African decent rights get denied
But still we rise

Thanks to Dr Martin Luther King, Malcolm X,
The Black Panthers, the Buffalo Soldiers and Tuskegee Airmen
None who were showed any love
Yeah it’s an uphill battle,
But obviously greatness can be done.

We can rise above this stigma
That blacks are lazy and daunting
That our worth is null and void
And in essence minus nothing
And of all the names mentioned
And the greatness of their successes
No one has been able to erase the evil transgressions of a racist mind
And once you have experienced just a taste of it
It changes your perception of time
The oppression beats like the drum on the chariot
Of when it was finally time to escape to freedom
It's mine

Who Am I

A new photograph floats to the surface
Playfully dressing up as the world around me
Hat, striped socks and all
Tiptoeing at the top for one last sweet moment
Before sinking back into my ocean mind.

One after another they arrive
Single file,
Steeping my eyes in the world
As the minds shutter, ever fluttering
Strings together this conscious stream I play in.

My photographs fade in time’s wrinkled arms.
Joining their brothers and sisters at the ocean floor,
They hold hands and try to answer the question that is always asking itself:
Who am I?

Blue Orchids

I'd like to walk into her arms and let my worries die: The valley east of Eden, the forest, or the ocean tide A dream I've dreamt since slumber took me over A longing for the solitude to be held in nature's palm I'll let her rock me like a baby let me hear the river's psalm If you're ever looking for me I'm in the breeze by seaside night Blue orchids be my bed ensconced then her sunshine be my cover; and freedom's boundlessness- God's light

Black and White

You’ve maddened me to the core
You singed me with your ferocious fire
We’re opposites… we’ll never integrate
We can’t blend with each other…
Your love and I’m hate
We’re contrary to each other…

So don’t even think about
Getting us back together
Because without a doubt,
We don’t click with each other…

So let us go our own way…

Everything’s black and white
You love to torture me with your deceptive devices
We’re playing this chess match – let’s fight!
Tonight, you’re going to pay the prices
You’re going to be deleted from my mind…

I’m not the one that should pay the price
You act as if you’re an angel from heaven
But, you’re a fiend…a devil from hell...who needs your advice?
Could someone unchain me from this prison?

So let us prepare for that day…

Fear and bewilderment build inside of our minds
Taking over us…we’re wasting valuable time
Terror and wrath injects into our veins…time starts to unwind
I’m regaining my glory…this moment feels so sublime

You think you’re innocent?
I can sense your guilt…bleeding through you
Do you live to feed me anguish?
Don’t deny it…you crafty demon…no wonder I feel blue

Let’s get ready for battle…
I’ll watch you decay…
IT’S PAY BACK TIME . . .
Taste my fury and my agony

Everything’s black and white
You love to torture me with your deceptive devices
We’re playing this chess match – let’s fight!
Tonight, you’re going to pay the prices
You’re going to be defeated…

I scream before nightfall
I close my eyes to kiss my demise
I want to disappear
Scratch away my desolation
Wipe away my tears…
Spewing out of my eyes…like a waterfall
Tonight, there will be dismay
There will be suffering
After sundown…
Failure and glory will expose like stars in the midnight sky
Who will earn the crown?
No one knows in silent wars – who can reveal the light in goodbye

Why are we black and white?
Are you too afraid to know the reason why?

Everything’s black and white
You love to torture me with your deceptive devices
We’re playing this chess match – let’s fight!
Tonight, you’re going to pay the prices
You’re going to suffer alone…

Nature Kills For Its' Survival Only

Nature Kills for Survival Only! ©

Great animal and man species hunt to kill
They are mighty 'Kingpins' in want for more gamely bites
Mastered forces in ungodly ‘uproar’ hunt down for food for its very survival against becoming extinct
Animals born to kill are instilled from birth
Men are taught to be 'warriors'' for their power feeds
Existence is ruled by the majority of the fittest
Creature numbers have dwindled down
Natural habitat is declining
As when 'marked' for human territory
Nature’s kingdom for once has become unbalance

Mankind’s kin mind their own affairs
But will always 'defend' and over indulge
In their religions, colour and creeds
They make deadly weapons for their armies
As power is gained through might!

She 'sets' species are laddered in her kingdom
Reason being as a ‘food chain’
All made to be feed to the next below
And with Nature’s careful ‘culling’ pact
The old and sick are replaced with young.

Grouped amoeba are meant to multiply
And throughout time a balance has been in effect
She rules without question and she watches
She feeds, mates and renews all species
But does not man’s thirst to reign with brute force
Show in the true blood red victor’s streamers?
Look everywhere something or someone is dying!

A Peregrine Falcon

A peregrine falcon masters the sky
with wings majestically arched with flair,
soaring with the elements eye to eye.

In a flurry of speed it flashes by
serenely aloof untethered and rare,
a peregrine falcon masters the sky.

Sunlight gilds feathers as soft as a sigh
and flickering flecks ignite in the air,
soaring with the elements eye to eye.

Naturally nimble graceful and spry
inspiring both audacity and dare,
a peregrine falcon masters the sky.

Riding an invisible thermal high
it lifts me up till suddenly I’m there,
soaring with the elements eye to eye.

Like poetry in motion wingtips fly
and awed by its beauty I can but stare.
Soaring with the elements eye to eye,
a peregrine falcon masters the sky.

Of Man and Nature, a Democratic Union

"I wear my hat as I please, indoors or out"
-Walt Whitman

I walk the land as I want,
the flutter of the dove shudders my
eyelids, dodging my step.
My soul, linking all souls, passes through
trees on my trail, bounding among planets
glimpsed between the apex of pine. I have
no fear of being beyond my body, nor
does the seed that falls from spent flower,
anguish beyond time. The unseen bloom,
millenial light-years away, shares
inherrent liberty. Many will gather these
words and hold them to the highest light,
that of our Creator, whose compassion
trifles not with material gain, but with
justice and liberty for all living things,
(equal with respect to all previous
sufferings and triumphs centuries before)
So it is with high diligence I value the true
compass of man and woman, forever
linked with our inalienable rights, as
nature intends.

Inner City

The bright, tall, dusk buildings glow gold
jacket pockets protecting from cold.
The tribal people dance
strange performers chance
and drums and chimes rhythmically bold.

A world of divine mystery waits
to those capable of altered states.
A state sleepily deep
for distracting thoughts sheep
making thy under tempted by debates.

Two eyes cannot see this grand place
for three are required to embrace.
The Soul breathes this air
a clear body thou wear
so as to walk with honest grace.

A world lacking an accurate clock
for emotions fly away in flock.
The flock a coward
neutrality powered
a coat of chalk being a wise block.

Want ill advised, for drawbacks hunt
if the pendulum starts, it be shunt.
Man becomes dependent
attached to a pendant
leaving the par, taking the brunt.

This sway between east, west, with no rest
no rest for the grip on desire, vest.
The farther in sway
will increase weigh
harshly punishing if want not blessed.

So sit, take rest, take sanctuary
in the breath of calm sanitary.
Untie strings to unnerve
and will to observe
human nature that's planetary.

Freedom Remembered

In a zoo in a strange land
a zebra stands
flaunting the bright stripes
 of a collective band
against the russett tussle of leaves
that exit trees before a cold wind.

He is far from the windswept plain
of his dreams; that parched place
where drought adapted trees wane,
until at last renewed by rain,
an over-night fantasy of growth
 glides greenly,
quicker than evening-tide.

Here, where Autumn has a strange glow,
bare trees, steal the dapple from his coat.
Knee deep in a pile of red leaves
he yields the life blood of his soul,
flowing from a freedom remembered

Peace Be Still

I kept searching for years when the answer I seek was so near. I kept looking for a profound answer but found myself on a wearisome path, marred with interminable disasters. I emptied the desk drawers and throw out the old files. I emptied the filing cabinet but the answer was still not there. All I felt was the universe kept beckoning me to come.

I fasted and pray and deny myself of all worldly pleasures, but the answer I seek was not within my reach. Several answers came in a timely manner but they were not for me. I have encountered years of infinite austerity, months of deprivation and mishaps cluttered my bold path tempting me to abandon my faith and walk the other way, but in spite of these adversities, I stood strong as my unwavering faith and intense determination kept pushing me to go on. So I kept searching, hoping that one day I could find the ultimate answer.

I trod over hills and valleys, landing on hard terrains, mingling in the company of peculiar, and hostile people. Their extraordinary culture with aged old structure impersonating facetious behavior, and its deceptive spirit framing the heart of its inhabitant whose goals are branded in the epitaph of death. This was not what I had hoped for, I had hoped for something new; something comforting and inspiring, an experience to refresh my sprit, stimulate my mind and relax my burdensome soul.

I have always think big, and have big dreams you know, I have great dreams to explore the universe, immense dreams to make new discoveries and create something fantastic for humanity. I always dream of having plenty and everything that I need. Dreams of waking up in the mornings and walk on the beach with my friends and family and view the sunrise from a distant.

I have splendid dreams to undertake something kind and special, dreams to create something extraordinary, dreams to start my own business, but everywhere I turn, all I experience is disgracful and outrageous dishonesty. I stumbled upon crooks, scammers, liars, criminals, unkind, heartless, cruel, ungrateful and mean-spirited people. Mind you, I have met a few warmhearted ones by the way but they soon become poisoned forcing me to walk away, and they too quickly fade away.

Hoping from one extreme to the next has caused me to seriously contemplate the reason for this senseless path. The hustling and bustling, squeaking and wailing and dust waiting to be sprinkled over the troubled ground. The wind is blowing extremely hard and tides are rising high and my boat is sailing peacefully amidst the furious tides.

I delved in a motionless sleep and went on an adventure way out in the deep; I floated for several hours looking up at the clear blue sky anchored in the heavens and the galaxy interwoven around it with ibillion of stars staring energetically at me while the night apologizes sincerely for my cluttered and winding path; it rocked me tenderly like a babe, and listened patiently to my pains. It pulled out a sophisticated handkerchief and gentle dried my woeful tears, then whisper quietly in my ear “I have the answer that you seek my dear, peace, be still” I looked around but no one was there.
