Karen O'Leary—My Poetry Soup Pal!

She should have been Hera, goddess queen of heaven, the sister-wife of
Zeus, king of the gods; she would have caught him one Friday night tipping
Out while she sleeps to visit one of his plumy wives and over 100 relations.
She would have said, “Sit down Zeus; let me inform you about the laws of
Property settlement and child support in heaven with a concrete poem.”

She would have straightened up Aphrodite, goddess of love and lust.
Especially when Aphrodite was caught red-handed making love to
Her son, Ares, the God of war, she probably would have said, “Now look
Here woman, quit messing with my son and creating all this rumblings in
Heaven with the gods.” I could see some Lanturne poems floating

She would have acted as the sister of Demeter, goddess of fertility,
Agriculture, and harvest, a sister of Zeus. Because she would have
Blessed women with children who need them, and also farmers
With great harvest and crops to feed their families and sustain the
People across the land, by waving a haiku poem in her healing hands

She would have screamed as the sister of Hermes, the crooked cattle-rustling
God; son of Zeus and Maia, who stole his brother, Apollo’s cows, then
Lied, and swore before Zeus, their father, “That even if I knew who stole
Apollo’s cattle, I would not even accept a reward for finding the thief.”
She would have gave her crooked brother, and son of Zeus, a flying senryu

She would have been with Athena, the virgin goddess of wisdom, reason, and
Heroic endeavors; the daughter of Zeus, and Titan goddess of wise counsel
Métis, especially when Athena appeared onto Swift-footed demigod,
Achilles, and told him, “Sheathe your sword and defeat Agamemnon, the
Greek king with words of wisdom.” I could see some wise epigram poems

She was probably counseled by Apollo, her brother, god of music, healing, and
Poetry; the son of Zeus and the Titan goddess Leto. Because she has cared
For the sick in hospital emergency rooms, and has also stimulated us for years
With her poetic muse. She has counseled many along the way and has calmed
Many storms with loving charm. “Hail my sister in Christ—Karen O’Leary!”

Happy birthday angel and wishing you many more for years to come!

"I WAS NOT BORN LIKE THIS BY CHOICE"

"I WAS NOT BORN LIKE THIS BY CHOICE"

My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
My eyes enjoy all they see,
And on most days I am quite happy.

My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
My voice, although not quite loud,
Can always melt hearts in a crowd.

My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
Please don't judge me because I am unable,
I don't deserve that kind of label.

My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
My mom says it's part of Gods plans,
I believe her, we're His biggest fans!

Are your eyes your voice?
Were you born like that by choice?
Is your voice quiet or is it loud?
And can it be heard, or felt, in a crowd?

My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
Some people think I am broken,
But others say, no, just soft-spoken.

My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
My smiles and giggles are not misplaced,
They are there on my pretty face!

My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
I have feelings like all the rest,
I am me at my worst, and my very best.

My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
Researchers are searching at a steady pace,
Rett Syndrome cure is their race!

My eyes are my voice,
I was not born like this by choice,
Look into my voice, it's plain to see,
A cure is needed for my Rett sisters and me!

Remember what I taught you

A dedication to my grandpa,
i love you and miss you,
Your legacy lives on within my heart

The sun can shine
So bright, it makes you blind
Fooling, deceiving.
Very misleading .
The world telling you it's a good day
With just a simple ray.
Penetrating your mind
Telling you to leave all that behind.
So you leave it … Searching for anything to find.
To fill that hole in your heart ...with something kind.
So you go for a stroll in a park
And see a dog with a playful bark.
As you step near
You start to grow in fear
Foam in its mouth
You notice your head dropping south
Chin down
And start to frown.
You realize it's not so sunny anymore
Rain pours
No more birds soar.
Drop to your knees
And freeze
Start to cry.
Then wonder why.
Why do I feel this way?
Looking for answers, you go to the bay.
Watching the storm come in, you hear someone say,
"Remember what I taught you,
You have to be strong.
Find the right
In the wrong.
Everything will be okay.
Some days will rain.
Some days will shine,"
Looking around to see who it may be
You continue to listen to the voice from the sea,
"some days you need to stop everything
And pray.
The Good Lord will take it away.
I've always been your strength
Strong for you and yours sister both."
As you realize who it is
You start to cry, from sadness…
And bliss.
"I know you miss me…
And I miss you too.
No need to cry,
Oh Catelyn, oh me oh my.
But just always know I'm here,
In heaven
watching over you.
If you ever need me.
You know where I'll be.
Watching over you from the clouds.
No need to worry.
Don't stress so much.
Life happens.
It peaks
And it stinks..
Given , I wish I was down there to talk to you.
But it's all in God's plan.
Everything will be for the better.
Now I'm sorry I have to go,
Check on your sister and cousins you know
Whenever your feeling rough
Whenever life gets tough
Remember what I taught you.
Rain may continue
Life will happen in different Venues
But go dance in the rain
Let go of the pain.
Enjoy the life God granted you
…it won't last forever.
Don't plan out the future
God has his plan
Live his will out
Not yours
Remember your still a kid,
So smile and I love you Catie did"
Tears rushing down your face
Tears of joy or sorrow
You don't really know.
Remembering what your grandfather taught you,
With his strength You stand up
Something in your chest starts to bump
Your heart, it's whole
Alive
Beating once again.
Pain is gone
And you live on.
Dancing in the rain
With only life to gain.

Fly Away---into the Arms of Jesus

As the day progressed
My brother...
Was in deeep stress
Tis had no other way
But to let him go...
Fly away...
Into the Arms of Jesus

As we let him go..
I felt the Spirit of Peace
Spirit Of Love
Christ Angel came
Took my brother
by the hand
Fly away...
Into the Arms of Jesus

Someday.. in Time
I too... as many others
Shall Fly away
Into the Arms of Jesus

But those whom
have Not yet come to Christ
Please do so.. while your here in this earthly life
For tis be... Whenever your time shall be
Then Eternity
There is No turning back..
Now is the Time
To accept
Jesus Christ into your heart
So.. when tis be..
Your time to depart
From this Earthly world..
You than too.. my brother my sister
Shall Fly away
Into the Arms of Jesus

Just Reach

just reach your hand out to the sky
pull your loved ones back to your side

lets get to say one more goodbye
for we never wanted them to go away and die

as now the days and nights lay
in such sweet disguise

so let us once again our lord
stare into their illumating eyes

as we reach out for them
in your broad horizon sky

and get to hold and kiss them
even if their not by our sides

for if this is however feels when we die
then I'd like to be that angel in that sky

so I can just reach out right back
and wipe their tears too from their eyes

Tribute To Our Loved Ones
On The Other Side
May You All RIP

We Lost More Than a Dad

We lost more than just a Dad that day
We lost half of how we came to be
We lost we four girls first love
We lost our Best Friend

We lost more than just a Dad that day
Our Mom lost her Soul Mate, Her other half
Our children lost their Papaw
We lost our family’s foundation
We lost the glue that held us together

We lost more than just a Dad that day
We lost the Strongest man we ever knew
We lost the man we looked up too
We lost we four girls Teacher of many things

We lost more than just a Dad that day
We four girls lost our Hero
We lost some of our Light
We lost part of our Heart
We lost part of our Soul

We lost more than just a Dad that day
We lost some of our Courage
We lost some of our Strength
We lost some of our will to fight back
We lost some of our will to carry on
We four girls lost more than a Dad
We lost more than just a Dad that day

I'm Going Home

,

Lord thank you for this life,
As I have lived a full life,
It was not always as I would have like,
But I lived it to the best of what I could,
I’m going home; Home to the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
I have been a long weary believer,
As I’ve been away to long,
I now know what I’ve been searching for,
As He's been there in me all along,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
I have been and seen lots of places in life’s journey,
Now I yearn for familiar faces in familiar places,
I hear familiar voices calling me to come home,
I see familiar faces looking at me,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
My time is near, the hour I know not,
I see Jesus' face across the Heaven’s,
I hear His soft sweet voice calling me home,
I can’t wait for my real life to begin,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me.

The Family That God Gave to Me

The Family That God Gave to Me I think about the family, that God gave to me... And think about where they'll spend eternity! I think about the good times, that we've had. And the trials we've faced... Both good and bad! God helped us to overcome adversity together! And proved his faithfulness... Today and forever! He showed us the Godly path, that we should follow... And promised to be with us! Today and tomorrow! He's proven how much he loves us! And how much that he cares for us! Thank you my lord, for all you do! Where would we be? If not for you? You've proven yourself over and over again! Thank you so much, for being our friend! By Jim Pemberton

Did The Lord Build Your House

Did The Lord Build Your House? This house of ours is “plain.” But is still standing. We’re “simple folks...” By many people’s understanding… We may not have much of what is “socially appealing”… But we have love in our hearts. And this is a good feeling! We may not be “wrapped up” in much of this world’s entertainment. But we seek God’s peace and a desire for contentment. We, as a family, have one purpose and “calling” in mind. To seek God’s ways of being merciful and kind… Each day we pray with much thankfulness in our hearts… For this is where happiness and gratitude starts! We’re thankful to the Lord for his unfailing grace… And for keeping us together in this special place… We’re blessed to have a God who is truly worth finding. His word in our lives is precious and worth memorizing! “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it!” God must rule and reign… So his love can completely fill it! Ridiculous Me

Watch this scene with both eyes and try not to blink C: -->

I stood there... silently
Like a predator near prey
I sneak behind YOU

You weren't even aware of it!! Ha-ha!

I made YOU jump hIgH
Like a startled hare
I chuckle and smile

You know that mischievous smile of mine?

Your reaction was
PRICELESS - you were so upset
But YOU forgave me

Well...I'm flattered. . .

We laugh'd together (just like the good times)
In a chorus - our volume
Picked up extreme sound

Believe me - I could hear our laughter from a mile away!

But I'm glad I did
My best to make you giggle

Ridiculous me...
Wouldn't you agree?

Soul Sisters

Such an Amazing girl god put into my life.

He knew i needed you at that exact time

Funny when we met I thought you were to good for me

But when you approached me the sweetest girl I did meet.

From that day on we have never truly been apart cause I

carry you around everywhere in my heart. You have been the

rock when I needed a friend around, you have been the light

when the darkness consumed me and took away my sunshine

Even when were miles apart the phone connects us and keeps

our strongest bond. 17 years feels like such a short time but

I feel I have always had you in my life. Soul Sisters we were

meant to be.. You my beloved friend are such a fresh breeze

Even after a year apart it was like yesterday that we did part

so through the many miles and through the long hard road

I know this friendship will always survive. Your a burst of joy

to me each day I thank the Lord for the sweet blessing he gave!

God Gave Us Brothers And Sisters For A Reason

God Gives Us Brothers and Sisters For A Reason!

God gives us brothers and sisters for a reason!
As children, we have each other, throughout the seasons!

We laugh and play together and do all sorts of things…
Often not realizing what the future of life brings!

As kids, we often share whatever life may give us!
And stick together, no matter what trials may face us!

But, as we grow older, too often, we part separate ways.
And lose any contact with each other for countless days!

I’ve seen all kinds of things tear families all apart.
Often, there’s some kind of
 unforgiveness of the heart!

If you, and your siblings, have reached a separation…
May you seek Jesus for
a Godly reconciliation!

As family, whatever divides, must be lifted up in prayer!
Where two or three are gathered… God is there!

Just think about what the family unit has become!
The love of Jesus must be what binds us all as one!

Getting along as a family, is more than just a “feeling!”
The blood of Christ needs to bring an “inner healing!”

The family that each of us have,
 may not be here tomorrow!
Are you one who’s holding on to bitterness and sorrow?

May the words of Christ help us all to get along!
That through HIM, our families
will be STRONG!

A Story My Mother Told Me

someone always told me this with tears in her eyes...

(for Lata Sethi's late-mother, who was my mother’s ‘sister’ and who took us all into her heart, and for Lata and Ravi Sethi of Defence Colony, New Delhi)

a wife left South Africa in the 1960’s to join her husband
who was in exile at the time...

in 1970 the husband was sent by the African National Congress to India to be its representative there...

the husband and wife spent two years in Bombay...

one afternoon the husband fell and broke his leg...

the wife knocked on their neighbour’s door, in an apartment complex in Bombay

the neighbour was an old Punjabi lady...

the wife asked the neighbour for a doctor to see to the injured husband...

a Parsi ‘Bone-Setter’ was promptly summoned...

the husband still recalls his anxiety of seeing ‘Bone-Setter’ written on the Parsi gentleman’s bag...

by the way, the ‘Bone-Setter’ worked his ancient craft and surprisingly for the husband, his broken leg healed quite soon...

but still on that day, while the ‘Bone-Setter’ was seeing to the husband...

the wife and the old Punjabi lady from next door got to talking about this and that and where these new Indian-looking wife and husband were from as their accents were clearly not local...

the wife told the elderly Punjabi lady that the husband worked for the African National Congress of South Africa and had left to serve the ANC from exile...

and that they had left their two children behind in South Africa and that they were now essentially political refugees...

the Punjabi lady broke down and wept uncontrollably...

she told the foreign woman that she too had had to leave her home in Lahore in 1947 and flee to India with only the clothes on her back when the partition of the subcontinent took place and Pakistan was formed and at a time when Hindus from Pakistan fled to India and vice versa...

the Punjabi lady then asked the foreign woman her name...

‘Zubeida’, but you can call me ‘Zubie’...

the Punjabi woman hugged Zubie some more, and the two women, seperated by age and geography, wept, sharing a shared pain...

the Punjabi woman told Zubie that she was her ‘sister’ from that day on, and that she felt that pain of exile and forced migration and what being a refugee felt like...

Zubie and her husband Mosie became the closest of friends with the Hindu Punjabi neighbours who were kicked out of Pakistan by Muslims...

then came the time for Mosie and Zubie to leave for Delhi where the African National Congress office was based...

the elderly Punjabi lady and Mosie and Zubie said their goodbyes...

a year or two later, the elderly Punjabi lady’s daughter Lata married Ravi Sethi and the couple moved to Delhi...

the elderly Punjabi lady called Zubie and told her that her daughter was coming to Delhi to live and that she had told Lata, her daughter that she had a ‘sister’ in Delhi...

Lata and Ravi Sethi then moved to Delhi...

This was in the mid-1970’s...

Lata and Zubie became the closest of friends and that bond stayed true, and stays true till today, though Zubie is no more, and the elderly Punjabi lady is no more...

the son and the husband still have a bond with Lata and Ravi Sethi...

a bond that was forged between Hindu and Muslim and between two continents across the barriers of creed and time...

a bond strong and resilient, forged by the pain and trauma of a shared experience...

and that is why, and I shall never stop believing this, that hope shines still, for with all the talk of this and of that, and of that and of this, there will always be a simple woman, somewhere, anywhere, who would take the ‘other’ in as a sister, a fellow human...

and that is why there will always be hope...
hope in the midst of this and of that and of that and of this...

hope...

(for Lata Sethi's late-mother, who was my mother’s ‘sister’ and who took us all into her heart, and for Lata and Ravi Sethi of Defence Colony, New Delhi)

Dear little sister from another mister

You’ve been thrown left and right,
Crying to yourself every night,
Thinking all has gone wrong,
& you won’t be giving up after long..
You’ve been heartbroken
One
Two many times:
From old boyfriends,
To lies;
Father walked out,
Baby killed by mistake;
Your mom has disowned you,
But she still shows you lust…
Everybody knows the truth,
The pain that you do not choose;
They see what you show,
But see me…
I, T’Keyah Wilder,
I already know…
You’ve raped and thrown from left to right;
Crying to yourself every night;
Everybody saying they understand,
But you know you’re the only
One who knows your pain ;
On this land…
It’s a matter of time,
Before you kill yourself,
Stressing yourself,
Hurting you and everyone else;
Blaming yourself for,
Mistakes not purposely made;
Crying every time you feel like you just got
Laid,
You want the true love,
Love shown from the heart;
Honestly,
Coming from your big sister;
I think you need a fresh start,
Easing your pain with nicotine;
I’m surprised you’re not
Sippin lean…
I know it may be hard,
To forget about the past,
But there’s one thing;
I must ask from you and I
Want this to last;
Promise me, you’ll try your best
To stress less,
& pray more…
Listen to God;
Put him above…
All;
We’re not close like we used to be,
But you know I’m just a phone call,
Away…
Not far from you..
But I wish you’d realize,
This too…
Stressing is not working,
Cause death, the devil, lies,
& fear are lurking..
Promise me;
You’ll try to be the best you can be…

Dear Lil Sista

Dear Lil sister. .
Hey pretty girl how you doing these days. How's life treating ya, hope it
hasn't been to cray. I noticed you were down, well how bout u talk to me. I
just wanna uplift ya, see you become who you were born to be. I know your
life has been crazy, Lord knows it to. But all those trials and tribulations
they won't break you. I know you hate that man from your past for touching
you the wrong way, you never told no one n it bothers you to dis day. It
created a dark cloud that covered your heart, now you have trust issues
can't tell the enemies apart. Night after night you pray to God for a fresh
start. Low self esteem, but baby your a work of art. Yeah i know you was
sad growing up without a father. As the years go by life seems to get harder.
I know you wanted that affection, the love you deserve as a daughter. Moma
tried her best but some things sh couldn't have taught ya. I know you wish he
told you, how beautiful you are over n over again. How all of your power
cums from deep within. Those weren't the cards you were dealt so you seek
refuge in other men. Trying to fill that void that has always been missing.
Now your in a situation and too scared to leave cause you think to yourself
nobody will ever love me for me. Countiuosly talking to yourself, and crying
secretly. But baby girl that's a lie I say differently. Your a daughter of a king,
so that makes you a princess. Your father hates to see you cry, that's why he
wants to give you his best. You are heirs of royalty don't u ever forget it. You
ARE victorious let me hear you admit it. Please baby girl don't be another
statistic this world wants to see down, so handle your business. Never follow
the crowd honey be independent. Cause when those checks come in, they'll
have a lot of digits. Always remember to remind yourself how beautiful you
are.I don’t care if your tall, short, white, black or covered in scars. Being
beautiful starts from the heart, so love yourself first. And always know that
the best comes after the worst. Hang in there hun, I know life's a twister. But
you can always count on me. Sincerely your big sister.

A SISTERS LOVE

A SISTERS LOVE

Hearts dearest companion,
 My sister shines,
Mine protectorates against,
Harms deepest heartache.
A sheltering umbrella,
 Repelling tear drops
Painful moments.
 Comrades council, wisdom’s
 Listening ear,
Defenders outspoken adviser,
 Ever ready
With tissues in hand.
When in hearts sorrowful,
Shadows do I weep,
No other embrace holds,
Me closer then you.
Loves everlasting angel
Resides within her,
Behold our spiritual connection.
 Softly whispering tender
 Encouragements,
Champions warrior stands,
 Tall beside me.
Built strong resolves,
 Foundational roots,
She never yields, against
 Challenges winds.
Spirits kindred, a flame burning
 Clarity's light,
We’ll meet together.
On the other side, always drifting
But never apart.

Virginity

Back to back we are bound
Hands tied, yet we defend
A treasure quite profound
Thought highly of by men

Hands tied yet we defend
Our innocence and pride
That for many has been bent
And, some have thrown aside

Our innocence and pride
Worth more than you possess
Although daily we are tried
We are stronger than the rest

Worth more than you possess
Women own the power
Some sell it upon request
We prefer you climb the tower

Women own the power
A treasure quite profound
We prefer you climb the tower
Back to back we are bound

Sexy Curves

In a dark room music plays with a slow beat,
the neon lights make you white panties and bra look like a street.
You move your body slowly and so sexy to the music,
while i look at you threw the darkness of the room set.

A big silver gun on my hip and a mountain of coke on the table,
and nothing can distract me from the beauty i see dancing so stable.
Your every move hypnotizes me,
I think I am going blind cause i am beginning not to see.

I look at your hair how it waves there so perfectly,
your legs move just like i want them to, so delicately.
You touch your breasts and you hold your but,
you give me that look in your eyes like your not wanting to stop.

You unbutton your bra and cover your breasts with your palms,
the music dies down a little and calms.
You walk up to me and than music begins to play,
that's when you start moving your body on top of me and asking me to stay.

You kiss my ear and rub my legs,
your breast rub against my inner pains.
You feel me harder than a rock,
than you decide to grind my cock.

Your body moves so sexy and slowly to the music that i played,
my body is shaking from all the excitement that is payed.
You go in for the big finish, and i tell you to get back up,
cause a lady like you should do all that kind of crap.

Be with me, be with a BOSS,
Who cares if the people i killed ever took a loss.

Dedicated to all the woman of the world.
PS: You are not trash, you are not ......... you are precious jewels. Stay that way ladies. I love you all.

My ghetto (Pondering)

Ponder this thought my brothers and sisters with me…it’s just an observation

from someone who has seen the same things you see, night after night as I

walk the streets.

Who made that sister sell her body just to be able to buy your crack?

Who made that brother shoot another brother in the head, all over a piece of

land that neither of them owns?

Who made that sister have a baby at just 15 when she couldn’t even afford to

feed it or give it a decent home?

Who made that brother throw that trash in our streets, who told him he could

write graffiti anywhere he please?

Who told that brother that just because he wears his pants hanging off his but

makes him look cool?

Ponder my brothers now can you picture this with me...what if we stop trying to

live black and instead just be black and do what we all just need to do to do

right in life?

What if we each took responsibility for ourselves and stop blaming other races

and people for a ghetto we are each creating by the way we each are acting?

So, you tired of this ghetto and you wanna get out? Then take a good hard

look at yourself my brother or sister's and make sure that you are not the one

who is contributing to turning this place into a ghetto instead of a place you can

call your home.

Is It God We Trust Or Leave In the Dust

Is It God We Trust? Or Leave In the Dust? As our courts remove God from this great nation. We are left with a confused and lost generation! As God is taken away from our public schools. A huge tide of immorality is what “rules.” The Bible is often mocked and discarded. It was on it’s principles this country was started! Just about anything of God seems to get scorned. So many “rush” to worship many ungodly forms. As God’s name is often tossed and thrown out. We tend to forget what HE is all about! Too often, his plans for living are tossed and abused. No wonder, there’s many who are lost and confused! As people forget God and worship the fallen creature. They look to themselves and “glorify” their features. Many ignore God, and get involved in deep addictions. And with this, come disease, heartache and afflictions! As God looks and sees this nation “bleeding.” It’s his righteousness, that we need to be seeking! If we would humble ourselves, he would hear our prayer! He loves all of us! And he really does care! Won’t you come to HIM, And invite him in? Won’t you allow him to be your master and friend? He brings strength and nourishment to the soul! It’s only in him that we can be made whole! A BROTHERS LOVE

Though the winds of hardships blow,
And the storms of life, have rocked
Our worlds surroundings.
You've always been there for me,
As I've been so for you.
Turned upside down, and inside out,
Crushed beneath emotions tidal waves.
We've waited out together, the currants
 Shifting tides of life.
Symbiont siblings, cast outwardly, into
The vast expanse of humanity,
Struggling to survive, against the harsh
Reality’s of life beyond, our safety net,
That once we called home, is now gone.
Only in memories photo albums,
Can one recapture it's warmth, and
Embrace the inner innocence, of
Childhood again.
Orphan’s of ages regrets, lingering
In tear stained silhouettes, I'm
Still here for thee, my sister,
A brothers love remains, to comfort,
And console, such a kindred spirit
As yours.
I'll try to brush away pains sorrow,
Easing a trouble brow, leave your
Wows aside.
Until the healing day of tomorrow,
Does shine upon us, not to worry,
Dearest heart for it will dawn.
So while yee rest, in your quiet
Slumber, remember I'll be
Watching over you,
My dearest sister.
Hopes faith lives within me,
I'll shoulder it's responsibility,
For the both of us.
Until you awake, and are
Restored once more,
To be cherished by those,
Whom love thee the most.

My Dear Sister

I recently lost my dear sister, She's now found a brand new home. No darkness of sin or pain enters in, With our loved ones, she's joined round Gods throne. Where Jesus, the light, makes heaven so bright, She'll live for eternity, And when I'm called home, we'll join round Gods throne, Where together we'll always be. Oh! What joy she's having in heaven, Hearing Vestal, Howard, and Glen. Why, there's Jake and George. Oh, what a noise! As they're sing a brand new hymn. With James, Rex, J.D.,and others she loves, As Anthony plays on a new baby grand, She's in heaven, just being in heaven, For,their music goes on with no end. There'll be no darkness in heaven, For Jesus is the light, As each soul joins with him, The worlds darkness grows dim, As the view up ahead shines so bright. When we're welcomed up there There'll be no compare, To the beauty of heavens array. As I walk on this path, toward Jesus, at last, I know I'll see her again some sweet day.

Family

A decade in to
a new millennium,
a woman, nearing
a century on Earth,
braces herself in
a doorway of
the house,
she has lived in since birth.

Her oldest son unfastens his belt, and takes a seat at the end of her table,
where her middle son just fixed the legs of the chair; to make sure it was stable.
Her youngest son brushes the webs off the wall, and scrubs the stains from the floor.
Her only daughter packs up her pictures, and helps her through the door.

A decade in to
a new millennium,
a life, almost
a century long,
comes flooding back
to the thoughts of a woman
who feels removed
from where she belongs.

Her daughter tries to lift her spirits, (from the room in which, she slept as a child)
but no one could easily witness their memories, all being sorted, and filed.
Her house is dissected, and put in a truck that waits - like a thief - in the drive.
-The cumbersome stance; the delicate dance; together, they help one another survive.

A decade in to
a new millennium,
a woman approaches
a century - passed.
A man in the attic
waves from the window -
Assuring her:
This home will not be her last.

The Nameless - for South Africans of all colours who fought for freedom

The Nameless

Slipping through the sieve of history,

the nameless rest.

Not for the nameless are roads renamed, nor monuments built.

Not for the nameless are songs sung, nor ink spilled.

The nameless rest.

Their silent sacrifice,

quiet ordeal,

muted trauma,

remain interred,

amongst their remains.

The nameless rest.

Not for the nameless are doctorates conferred, nor eulogies recited.

Not for the nameless are honours bestowed, nor homages directed.

The nameless rest.

They rest within us,

they walk with us,

in every step that we tread.

They rest within us,

they walk with us,

for their spirit is not dead.

“Your name is unknown, your deed is immortal”
- inscription at The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier WWII in Moscow

Special thanks to my dearest elder sister Tasneem Nobandla Moolla, whose conversations with me about life as a non-white person growing up in pre and post-Apartheid South Africa prompted me to write this dedication to the countless, nameless South Africans of every colour, whose sacrifices and dedication in the struggle against Apartheid tyranny must never be forgotten.

My sister’s middle name ‘Nobandla’ which is an isiXhosa name and means “she who is of the people” was given by her godfather, Nelson Mandela, my father’s ‘best-man who could not be, as Nelson Mandela was unable to-make it to my parent’s wedding as he was in jail at the time in the old Johannesburg Fort. This was the 31st December 1961.

Wisdom of Heights---Climb with Me

This morning
bells toll
a trumpet sounds
but refuses to blare
it just doesn't know
how to harm
what it takes
to infect the living

trees
earth
and sound
survive sadness
out last the past
bond brothers and sisters
of sky
air
mud
and water
as it loses
to a force

some days...

this morning
it wins
because the vibration knows god
and is ONE

and though human imperfections
sit in the shadows of it's path
perfections will
and forever will
prevail

people
so arrogant
we choose to destroy
but how can we concentrate
on methods of malcontent
when god sits at our breakfast table?
urging
as father urges child
"get up!"
"move on!"
"stand on two feet!"
"breath child!"

he tolls the bell
as we lay on deaf ears
he loosens ties with anger
as the path warns and wears
thrusting
driving this cosmic ship
of no loses
only tiny
arrogant setbacks

and he smiles
for he knows
what we yet
have to find...
and all is well.

Some Advice in This Sonnet

Some Advice in This Sonnet

A few words of advice in this sonnet:
Don’t hurt, if you too don’t like to be hurt.
When bad deeds return, you might regret it.
So watch your deeds, and take care of your words.

Always know that from above you’re being watched.
On your right and left are angels writing –
Collect whatever good deeds you may lack,
To please God and meet Him while He’s smiling.

Avoid supplications prayed against you,
Especially those of righteous Muslims.
Beware of everything you see and do –
Know that on Judgment Day, you’ll be questioned.

Obey Allah’s Rules, and good you shall get.
If you displease Allah, yours is regret.

Brother and his newborn sister

For the very first time
He discovers a new face
As he stares into her eyes
She drifts off into space.

“This is my little sister?”
He questions the man above.
“Why she is very beautiful.”
“Pure as a heavens dove!”

For the very first time
He held her in his hands
He too, then drifted off
Now he understands.

A True Credo Of Love

(To All Who Believe It Can Be Achieved)

Caucasoid, Mongoloid,and Negroid
Colour the conscience progression
of Man's ethical Truths...
The cultural aggressions of violence
and ignorance must end!
Extend your heart, hand and life
Towards the Precious Don of Honour...
Freely, keeping the sincere
Brotherly Creed

Comments: Brothers and Sisters it is time that we stand up and let the Love of God in, after
all we are all one in the same under the skin, so why not give it a grand try... One Love and
Many Blessings in Him Always, Adell

The Women

We laugh and cry. We smile and have fun
But even when that is all said and done
In our hearts still lie the sadness and woes
I guess our brains are too slow to know

No amount of cheer can hold back what we feel
With our souls overwhelmed we each find our way to deal
Whether in anger or anxiety, in guarded fear or open minds
We know that they are with us, in front and behind

As birds of a feather we are drawn together
Each carrying with us a pain that binds forever
We have become so much more than simply friends
The strength that we carry in us will always mend

Our broken hearts and tradgic tales
The hardships we have endured will make us prevail
We are the women that we are today
Because we let no limits hold us at bay.

Written on the 11th of September as proof of the strength that I see everyday not just in my family and friends but in women everywhere. Not to be cliched but I truely believe that the ones I wrote this for are amazing women that I cherish very much and I hope you can feel it too :)

SHE GOT HER WINGS TONIGHT

As I sat by her side
Speaking of the times
Of the good ole days
That we’ve had
quickly rushed by

Knowing that God sent you
To spread His Divine word
For all people and to tell me
Love and Truth be heard

So they and I too.. within time
Shall have a New beginning
Without end…
With Our Savior
Jesus.. Christ
Our Divine

As I seen
And watched you
take your last breath
and knowing Jesus
gives us eternal life..
after death

After a long battle
fight of living this earthly life..
I know. .. Jesus
called your name tonight

Took you home
To be by his side
Giving you wings
So you can fly…

Tonight you
received your wings
Knowing is far better
Then any earthly things..

For now you..
My beloved sister
Stepped across
within heavens gates

and received your wings..
Now an Angel
along with the many
Angels whom Sings

Rejoicing Praising
All for Jesus Christ
Our Savior..
Our Majestic King..

Come to Jesus
Glorious giver of Eternal Life

~Dedicated to My Beloved Sister~
~she received her Angel wings
                        Jesus called her Home tonight~

You call yourself a father

Growing up was hard for me,
I think i grew up to soon,
I had to take charge in the big brother role,
But also i had to take hold to the father role somehow.

My mom was the only one who was there for her children,
We knew that she loved us,
She was in love with my father but he wasn't faithful,
So she found someone else who showed her true love.

My siblings never truly understood it,
I tried my best to encourage them to behave,
Which they listened but to a certain point,
Finally my mom married her true love and the caos began.

My father tried to step back in the picture,
My siblings began to side with my father not knowing the seriousness,
I decided to talk to them one-on-one but neither of them listened,
They wanted for my mom and father to be together.

One day my mother sat them down,
Telling them the hurt and pain she experienced with my father,
She explain to them the whole nine yards,
They understood then and began looking at my father differently.

Getting to the stage of middle school,
We began to see less of our father,
It was his choice...not ours,
He wouldn't call for our birthdays or holidays,

So we leaned mostly on our step-father,
They wouldn't accept him as father,
He would do all he could for us,
But instead the only one(s) who really let him be a father figure was me and the
youngest brother.

My step-father loves my mom and has been there for her going on Fifteen years.
He is a firm talk like he's a policeman or something,
But he is a nice person.
My mom loves him and so do we.

So this is a message for all of the children out there who has a no good father....if
your mom has a man or husband, please treat him right because he is there to
protect your mom and you all. Thanks for listening!!

I was Beautifully And Wonderfully Made

I was beautifully designed and wonderfully made… There’s nothing that God has given to me that I would ever trade! I was fashioned and created by God… With one thing in mind. To be an image of HIM… In a body by his design! He fashioned and formed me with the dust of the ground... He gave me his love. It ‘s all around! Though there are imperfections and “inflictions” within… God is patient and willing to forgive my every sin! Through life… I’ll endure trials, heartache and despair... God is with me... He’s always there! I know that his son, Jesus… Has given me his grace. He has provided for my life… “A resting place…” I’m going to serve this God… Whom I love so much! How I long for his presence… His “special touch…” Thank you God... For a “new” person you’re helping me to be! And may your light continue to shine through people like me! By Jim Pemberton When I'm going through a discouraging time... This poem reminds me of how special that I am to God!

I Think of a Time When I Was Young

I can think of a time, when I was young.
I was growing up and having fun!
I remember how excited I was to have a t.v.
There were my brothers, my parents and me!
I remember at about the age of ten.
My dad thought going to the theater was a “sin.”
There were many things
that as young man…
I later began to see, and understand!
My parents shared God’s love the best they could!
And I read the Bible and was trying to be “good.”
I had my troubles… And problems bear...
But I had a family, and much prayer!
The truth of God’s word helped sustain me!
I knew how much he really loved me!
My parents, may seem like they were “old fashioned.”
They loved their kids! With a Godly compassion!
I’m thankful to be blessed with a Godly love!
My family was a treasure from heaven above!
I think about today, and how things go wrong.
Many families don’t seem to “get along!”
I pray for the blessing of God, to bind them together!
May we all serve him! Today, and forever!
His love must be the cord that binds!
His will must be the focus of our minds!
May the presence of God bind us as one!
Every mother, father, daughter and son!

sixteen

Sixteen - A time where innocence shouldn't exist
Parties, dancing, drinks and drama
Devil horns and feathered wings
Sleepless nights, Lazy afternoons
School activities
Greasy caf lunches
Learning how to grow up
without changing for anyone but yourself

Sixteen - A canvas of neon colours
Birthday Parties and Campfires
Favourite Songs and the brilliance of Vampires
Waking up to a brand new day
Taking in the beauty of the little things
Crying so hard you think you could drown

Sixteen - A year of firsts
The first time you locked onto his sweet brown eyes
The first time your heart beat so fast it hurt
Your first Valentine
The first time you told somebody you loved them
The first time you felt your heart break
The first moment you realize you'd die for someone

Sixteen - A time for mistakes
You finally let yourself believe he was all you ever needed
The people you can't trust
Not following your heart
Losing your best friend
and so much more..

Sixteen - A year to admit who you are
Learning that family is more than the people you are related to
Laughing too loud at 4 a.m
Home made t-shirts
Drinking games late at night

Sixteen - The last time you feel prepared
Wasting days wishing everything could change
Seeing yourself in the mirror and not knowing who was looking back
Choosing courses
G1's
and Final Exams

Sixteen - Welcome to all your new beginnings
The 3 girls that never let your happiness escape you
Forgetting the boys that have forgotten you
Finally talking to that special someone
Weekend Girls nights
Summer Parties
Hook-ups and heartaches
Teacher Crushes
Saturday morning head rushes
Hockey boys
Dancing & singing without a care in the world

Sixteen - A year to look back on
Believing in lies that are too serious to forget
Taking back the people you should have left behind
Waking up and knowing who you love
Fighting for what you want
Running in the rain
Screaming at the top of your lungs
Crying in pain
Pushing the people that hurt you aside
Allowing yourself to change...

The Fighter

She’s haunted like the rest of us
But she won’t take off her gloves
She’s got her demons like the best of us
But she’s also got her loves

Lurking inside, only she can face them
Though we’ll be standing by her side
And she can defeat but never erase them
Though she can choose the path she’ll abide

And if the darkness leads her astray
Like so many times before
The light inside will show her the way
And she’ll fight on once more

This endless battle may bend her
But her spirit will never break
Hope she knows we’ll always defend her
Because her life is at stake

Lurking outside, we’ll fight them together
Even if the battle is always uphill
Hope she knows we’ll love her forever
Always have and always will

Teenage mom

She came home one afternoon,
All I saw was a face saturatede in gloom,
She sat me down, eyes filled with tears,
She told me something I had feared for years,
"Sister, I’m pregnant and I don’t know what to do,"
"I am also worried that the dad has been untrue,"
"He lies and cheats and once or twice I was beat."
At this point, I arose to my feet,
She told me she felt he wanted to trap her,
That her mind was in such a blur,
I was not even twenty one,
I felt like my heart had been shot with a gun!
My little sister was barely seventeen,
This was not part of her present dream.
I thought about how we grew up with no dad,
I went from feeling sad to just simply mad,
Wanting so bad to save the day, which I had so often did,
How could I save her this time? She was having a kid!
Mom was the next to know,
A woman strong in her convictions, said "we can’t let this child go!"
9 months later the little girl was born,
We named her Destiny, for God knows my sister was torn.
Three of us girls rose to the plate,
To allow this little angel to become something great,
There have been many struggles, but the joy that she brings,
Has healed our family and makes all who know us sing,
Even out of dysfunction and a mistake,
Bringing her into the world, taught us all what it takes,
To be a stable force in a child’s life,
What Selfless love is without any strife.
Life has its twists and turns,
In ever obstacle there is much to be learned,
When there is love and support that abounds,
Hardship can actually ware a crown,
It is not easy to raise a child in this world today,
So many dads pick up and run away,
But, when you have a strong foundation,
Even in teenage pregnancy, you can find inspiration.
If more children were taught the morals from the past,
Wait untill your married and the guy may actually last,
I believe the rise of this issue would not be so high,
So many teens are looking for love from some guy,
This is becoming such normality,
Teens being mothers is a harsh reality.
There needs to be more support for young teens,
Instead of TV shows that promote it in scenes,
Education and self-esteem,
Will help them to follow their original dreams,
Children raising children breeds’ future despair,
Talk to your teens; let them know that you care.

I Met This Family What A JOYFUL Experience

I Met This family… What A Joyful Experience! I met this family. What a joyful experience! They displayed Christ’ love by their gracious appearance! At first I couldn’t hardly believe what I was seeing! The love and joy of Christ I was now receiving! They didn’t have much in the way of entertainment. They had God’s peace and a joyous contentment! They were happy about God and also excited. They talked about the good things in life. And were delighted! The simple things in their family did abound! A peace and warmth in their home, I certainly found! A love for God in this home I was able to see! What’s good for them... Is also good for me! A respect for the parents was clear and evident. I knew the Holy Spirit is the “chief resident!” I’m thankful to God for the blessing they’ve been. I’m glad that I know them and to call them friend! May we all be encouraged by our families too! May we not forget to say; “I LOVE YOU!” May the love of Christ keep us all together! May we seek his will today and forever! Thank you lord for your goodness and grace! We welcome you into our dwelling place! By Jim Pemberton

My dear sister from another land
let me take you by your hand

I'll be your compass, your GPS
Navigate you through this wilderness
I'll be your lamp that shines bright
to guide you through this darkness
Please don't fret, you will be alright

I'll be your horn, your mouthpiece
for the times when you can't speak
I'll be your earphones, your hearing aide
for the times when you can't hear
Please don't fret, you will be okay

I'll be your covering, your shield
against any daggers some may wield
I'll be your warmth from the summer's sun
when you feel the frigid cold from this land
Please don't fret, your day will come

I'll be your cool drink from the winter waters
when your soul is parched from the cruel mutters
I'll be your skin bottle, your delicate cloth
to gently catch the many tears you may shed
Please don't fret, trust that all is not lost

Oh my dear sister from another land
please let me take you buy your hand

For a friend in pain

you're a silent person inside, that i know..
so a single insult or pain would pose a great blow..
When in pain close your eyes and drift..
think of of happiness and joy, that would give you a lift..

Anger and grieve, please don't let it rust..
In your heart don't let it last..

know that jokes come and go..
sometimes jokes go far beyond "tolerable"
so when hit in the heart so hard,
stay with your guard..
Maybe tomorrow's a better joke..
maybe tomorrow's your day..

Because every "tomorrow", we change, we grow, we love more and joke more..

Sorry for today..

We had to see those sad, sad, eyes..

Dream

Feburary 27th 2012 i lost the most important person in my life. Helen

I was at a goodwill, when i prayed to her that i would find a metallica shirt. I was then looking through the shirts and found two metallica shirts. I got them both. i started wondering if it was her, if she answered my prayer. A few days later i had a dream. She was standing in the window yelling down at me telling me she bought me something and it was on her bed in a bag. i told her how much i missed her and i went to go see what it was. i open the bag on the bed and see the two metallica shirts i had bought at that goodwill. i now know that she answered my prayer.

Another dream i had.

I had often wondered if she considered me a grandchild.. because im not realted to her by blood. I had a dream it was at her funeral. i seen her sitting in a chair next to me. my sister and some of her grandchildren were carrying her casket to the hurse. My sister fell and dropped the casket and several of her family members were yelling at her. Helen the women who these dreams are about sat and said she loved all her grandchildren even if there not blood related.

I believe Helen answers my questions in my dreams.

American Heart

America resides within the heart of all Who believe in freedom, choice, voice and opportunity Deny, not, the display of pride within yourself Or else you’d deny pride in this land of the free America, more than land, it’s home to you and me Some dare tread, take arms against and try to squash All that America ever stood for, which is evident to all They fear the freedom, strength and all that’s offered As they know, against us, they would never stand tall And for all their attempts, America makes them fall This 9-11, let us not focus on terrorist actions But, on those Americans lost, that still live in our hearts Remember and honor them by living the American dream Exhibiting the ideals and always doing our part Showing all, America has muscle but lives through its heart

Clother Her in Purple (Tribute to Corretta Scott King)

Clothe her in purple

For she must be dressed

Sprinkle her with gold

Indeed she is blessed

Adorn her with strength

And comfort her with love

Prepare her with wisdom

Always shine light from above

Let her sing from the heart

For nations will hear her cries

Tears for equality, justice, and peace

Escape her eyes

Faithful and loyal

She deserves her crown

While he unchained the dream

She helped hope take its place to remain unbound

Her work never ends as she manages her home

‘She must be praised’ her children confessed

Clothe her in purple

She must be dressed

Gay

I am gay.
I'm not a disease, I'm not a problem
I'm not an affliction
I don't need treatment.
I don't need help
I'm not sick
I'm not confused
I'm not a sin.

I am gay.
I'm your daughter
Your sister
Your friend
Your co worker
Your classmate
Your acquaintance
A complete stranger

I am gay.
I need love, just like you
I need smiles
I need support
I need a hug
I need a friend
I need a family
I need acceptance
I need understanding
I need you

I am gay.
I know what love is
I know what pain is
I know what hate is
I know what life is

I am gay.
And I need you to love me
The same way you loved me before you knew

I am gay.
And I have experienced hate
From more people than just you

I am gay.
And I wont change.
I wont give up.
I wont back down.
I wont pretend.
I wont lie.
I wont deny.
I wont hide.
I wont hurt.

I am gay.

And that's okay.

It's Hard To Tolerate

I stubbed my toe-- OUCH!
Attempting to get order right given by my pregnant sister who yells out:
"More mustard servant!"
So I spread mustard on top of her sandwich-- YUCK!
I Attempt to cover the problem by adding a slice of bread on top of that
"JUST GET OUT OF MY ROOM! YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE!"
It's hard to tolerate my pregnant sister...

That's Where The Lord Lives

I walk outside to see all that I can see.
Over there is our house, our home,
In the distance, you can see.
And that place of hallowed happiness
Forever has been our home
And forever will be so evermore.
That house is small but raised us tall,
From the perfect parents who loved us so
To the perfect sister for which every man would want.
The house built us all up strong.
More than a mere building,
It is a place to love and be loved,
A place that hands you hope that you give right back,
And a place of everlasting faith.
This home is where my parents taught me about God
And opened me up to Jesus.
They opened the eyes of the blind for all to see,
And the blind included me.
They taught me to be the best I can be;
The best things in life are free.
They have taught us so well,
And they all have saved my soul.
Even if I am not there now,
I carry Him with me.
I carry them with me.
I carry Their values and Their teachings with me.
In this house, this home,
We reside.
We cannot forget this.
This is where my Mother lives.
This is where my Father lives.
This is where my Sister lives.
This is where We live,
In this loving, caring, beautiful home
They made just for us.
We cannot forget this either.
This is where it all began.
This is where the hunger and thirst was created;
This is where we are fulfilled.
We cannot, we must not forget this:
This is where God lives.
This is where Jesus lives.
This is where The Lord lives;
The Father and The Almighty.
This is where We live;
This is where We reside.
We must not forget this.
We must not forget this:
What a beautiful and perfect life this is.

Mathematics of life

Iam just zero,
not a zest hero.

He Knows

What words can I use to ease the pain you carry in your heart,
It saddens me to see you suffering in a world gloomy and dark.
All your days are filled with thoughts of worries and guilty feelings,
From dusk till dawn you go on and on but your life has no meaning.
These twisted ideas of your misunderstood emotions driving you insane,
Night after night you will toss and turn thinking you are the blame .
There was nothing more we could do that would have changed that day,
It was his time and we had no choices because that is just Gods way .
You must remember he was never alone no matter what you may remember,
Please get by this and get on with your life and forget that day in late September.
How angry he would be if he was here and saw how you have not moved on,
That's something we know he would say by telling you that you are wrong.
I can't imagine him ever wanting you to stop living after he had passed away,
Don't be a fool wasting your life thinking about me that's what he would say.
How do I help make it better for you so there is no more pain ,
First you must stop feeling it's your fault and stop taking the blame .
Get out of this cold dark and lonely place start living your life,
Move on to better days where you will sleep through the nights.
He has never left you and has been here beside you all along,
Here to help you to get on with your life now that he is gone.
It's your happiness that has him trapped here in our time ,
He will move on to where he must be once he is out of your mind.
Think only of the good things and the love that was always there,
You never have to worry anymore he has always known you cared .
Please do this for me so you can see you will alwys be daddy's girl,
I need you back the way you were which was a part of my world.

I Pray For My Children and Family Too

I Pray For My Children And Family Too! I was talking with my children just the other day… I was almost “at a loss,” for the words to say! I was praying that somehow they’d understand… Christ is our solid rock! All else is ”sinking sand!” I encouraged them to daily read the Bible and to prepare. To what’s happening now… So they’re not caught “unaware.” I shared with them what it means to seek God’s holy ways… No matter what others tell them… Or what they might say! When it comes to God… May his will be understood… As one they will grow unto adulthood May God’s word guard their heart and help it to be pure! In the arms of Jesus, may their life be strong and secure! May the love of Jesus bind their hearts as one… And be a blessing to my daughters and sons! As their parent. It is my desire to strongly express… For all of my family. I wish for God’s very best! HIS best can be found in his word and the son that he’s given… May this be the very foundation on which we’re livin.’! May Jesus Christ be the focus of everything we do! May our lives be en expression of “I LOVE YOU!” May God’s peace and words of wisdom fill our minds… And may his cords of love be what forever binds! By Jim Pemberton 01/14/12

The Child, 1 2 1

A spirit as fragile as glass
A soul virgin in depth
As innocent to the world as to him or herself.
A stranger to emotions, a vessel covered in flesh and a unknown purpose here, on this earth
to be discovered , yet.
Circumstances surrounding his or her conception is not known, but the child is a "gift" from
one... to two...then back to one.
The Child is "joy" whether a daughter or son.
A world commanded by nine and not by ten, created of three, defined as one.
Let the writer's write about the child's world in view and inform the Gatekeeper to prepare to review .

The Hurt That I Often Feel

Yesterday, I thought I seen the back of your head,
I felt my mind shook as I started to dread,
That you were there,
But then I realized,
It wasn't you.
As I left the airport,
I got into a truck, that was just like yours,
Then all my emotional sores started hurting again.

And later on, after seeing,
That the friend I wanted to have all to myself in high school,
Already had someone to be best friends with,
I held back my tears,
And fear that maybe I'll never recover
From these emotional issues that seem to go on forever.

And I feel like I can't keep myself together...
Especially when I see two siblings who love one another,
Wishing my siblings were close to my age,
Then I wouldn't have ever felt like I was in a lonely cage,
Envying those who get to have a younger sibling jump into their arms,
Whenever I see them at school...

She always felt like a little sister for me,
I want to protect her,
But nowadays, I don't like the way she is some times,
And I feel confused, and lonelier when I see that she
Likes her other friends more than me.
Yet again, more envy,
And I feel guilty realizing it's wrong for me to be jealous
In friendship...

I'll make sure our friendship never ends,
But I know that my loneliness will never disappear,
And I will never be able to reappear,
In school with her again, it hurts,
Especially when I don't have someone to share the suffering
Of high school work and gym.
I still feel hurt and sad, everything in elementary,
That made me glad will be pushed away,

And I'll probably feel alone everyday...
Just like the old days, when I cried at night...
And my alarm clock was my nightlight...
Now I need Him, to keep me safe,
And be my light,
Because the hurt that I often feel
Is an inner fight for life!

God Gave Us Our Sexuality

God Gave Us Our Sexuality… God gave us our sexuality and told us how to use it. But many have ignored him, and have “abused it.” Through his word, he’s given us his “set of rules.” So many have refused it, and have become “fools.” The fool has purposed in his heart God does not exist. Yet his beautiful handiwork is all around their midst. Many have chosen to turn his truth into a lie. And often, they burn in lust till the day they die. Many have offered their bodies for ungodly things. Not caring the consequences this really brings! Many are involved with perversion of various kinds. Having a warped sense of morality in very confused minds So many aren’t happy with the way they're created. Their own sexual identity is often debated. You were wonderfully designed and beautifully made. Please don’t end up as sin’s “sexual slave!” God made you special… And has a perfect will! Your every need… His love can fulfill! Don’t settle for what may be “your innocence lost” Think about the work Christ did on the cross! God can help you to resist the man “sexual temptations.” And can bring to your life his peace and true satisfaction. You don’t have to live like you did before! God can restore your life and do so much MORE1 By Jim Pemberton

Anna Lou Bagolbol

           Anna Lou Bagolbol

Often times she suffers the consequences,
Not to be with us in times of sadness,
Her sole problems are kept in the darkness,
She never tells us even if it is quite obvious.

She is quite impressive,
She's so creative, sometimes naive;
Always smiles to everybody,
Never frowns even if her problems are so heavy.

Optimistic always in life,
Dreams a lot about her paradise,
Her dream family, What she's like,
To be a mother and a loving wife.

She doesn't get mad,
Instead other impressions of them makes them so bad,
She doesn't really like to fight,
But she can be a fighter with her mighty armor just like a knight.

She may be tackles sometimes,
But she's nice like her existence,
She might be so cuddly,
Beautiful, lovely, so pretty.

She hops while she's walking,
That's a part of her poise and attitude,
She dances when she's standing,
And speaks with her mouth wide open.

Human condition

The love we have inside and the love we share.
Is it rationed out are some people scared?, to
show there emotions give love and devotion.

We
are all so different yet have the human condition,
the built in ability to care. Forgive and forgetting a
fatal mistake, some things happen and it's just left
to late. You can't always be the one holding the
reigns.

In this life people will hurt, they will thrust
there hurt upon you in times of blues. That is when
we stand like a strong tower in there hour of need.

Show compassion to others comfort a complete stranger,
showing a loving human nature. Giving that warm human touch,
as it goes beyond our sisters and brothers.

Ghosts of South Dakota part 3

There were seven Indian Government schools. All built alike. The
one I'm writing about is Spring Creek. He Dog, Soldier Creek and White River,
Grass Mountain, Two Kettle, and Black Pipe were the other schools. The
Headquarters for these schools was at Rosebud, South Dakota.
On some summer evenings we were able to talk our mothers into
hiking to the lookout tower. We followed the ankle deep sandy trail road to the
cliff north of the school., A canyon lay at the foot of the tower but we climbed the
bluff. I don't know why we didn't explore the canyon unless it seemed dark and
sinister. The footing was better once we reached the summit. The closer we got
to the tower the taller it grew and standing at the foot of the steps looking up was
easier than getting to the top and looking down. My mother didn't usually make it
to the top because she didn't like heights. But she didn't mind being left behind
this time. We never could get into the building at the top because it was locked,
but we could climb the steps to the very last one. Even my little sister managed
to elude mom and followed us to the top.
From the bluff we could look down on the garden. My aunt grew a
huge garden and canned the produce for the hot meals served the school
children. We kids didn't work in the garden very often, but we looked for the arrow
heads and fossils. Which, I suspect the adults probably considered the best
place for us.
At the end of the road, living in shack, was Old Lady Grease. I have a
vague recollection of seeing her. Tiny, frail, wrinkled and gray headed is all I can
remember.
In spring and fall we were in school in Kansas.
It's Christmas now. Cold and usually snowy. We were in a winter
wonder land.
I'm standing at the fire escape window. The ghostly pale full moon is
illuminating the naked arms of the trees as they shiver in the wind, swaying to
and fro as if dancers in a ballet. I listen to the winter sounds. The frigid air
enhances their sharpness. The ax's thud echoes up the canyon as one of the
Indians across the river chops another supply of wood. One of his peers beats
on the drum. It is one-thirty a. m. but the thin walls of the tents do not keep the
cold out. Day or night this chore must be attended to for survival.

BLOOMING

start of a new age reality of beauty,
peek of cuteness.
rough surprise of coming out,
spontaneous with no doubt.
art with no limit,
joy with no toying.
planting security,
reaping serendipity.
enjoying carefree innocence;
with no pressures of risks,
open to new things,
feeling of genuine experiences.
going out of the way of the norm,
beauty yet not known.
untold sharing of this blessing;
some left wanting,
some left with no content,
the reality of new changes,
freedom of impressing others.
going beyond what you were meant to be,
overlooking others,
just to sprout new wings......!!!

Friendships Are Easy To End Hard To Rebuild

Friendship’s Are Easy to End… Hard To Rebuild! When it comes to friendships, many are quick to “end it.” I seldom see very few that try to “rebuild it.” A harsh word said. An angry thought spoken. Can often cause many friendships to be broken! Scripture says; “be quick to listen.” “Slow to speak.” May we speak God’s grace each day of the week. A broken friendship can cause feelings of anger. And soon, our “ex-friend.” becomes a “stranger.” God will not give you a trophy for those you’ve “un-friended.” May you ask for his love to have your hearts “amended.” Broken friendship can have many repercussions. Often leading to gossip and back-biting discussions. May we seek God’s forgiveness to come back together. May his love be the glue that binds you forever! Life is too short to end a friendship. The person you left, could be going through a hardship! May the peace and love of Christ bind us as one! And bring a healing to every parent, daughter and son! By Jim Pemberton

You are a lady of stature, a lady of peace
You are a lady who is compassionate and quite unique

Unique in your ways, thoughts, and expressions
A mentor to all, in helping others understand life’s lessons

I wanted to give you a gift, but what can I say
You are a lady who wants for nothing, you are blessed in many ways

So I’ve decided to give you something no one else can
A poem from my heart to make you understand

Your impact on my life, I will never forget
Your thoughtfulness and blessing to me I appreciate and accept with respect

I will never take for granted the kindness you have shown to me
You are a genuinely caring woman, and I know for a fact many others agree

Your smile brightens up a room; your laughter is pleasant to hear
The funny stories you share with me make it very clear

You are a lady of knowledge, wit, humor, and class
Splendid in personality, even on your most trying day you still find reasons to laugh

In close, I give thanks to God too
Because in your love for him you are a phenomenal woman while “Just Being You”

she received no love-

she was a beautiful baby girl,
born in love but grew with none
that would teach her it’s meaning,
her mother, an alcoholic/bi-polar

her father never around to guide her,
starving and love neglected, this child
soon became a big sister to a baby girl
created out of deceit

at five years old, she watched over
her sister, when mom was passed out
or with someone other than dad,
yet she received no love…

she sometimes went for days without
food for herself or the baby
mom spent the money on cigarettes
and beer, mom couldn’t understand

at ten, mom and dad divorced, she and
her sister were now in her mom’s care
she was all alone and frightened
and she received no love…

neglected, abused, she struggled for
acceptance from someone, somewhere,
her mother was good at hiding their
situation from family members

soon, mom got so bad she gave the
girls to their father and step mother
who abused them, locked them away,
still she received no love..

at fifteen, she begged to live with
her loving grandparents,
they loved her and guided her to
jesus, where she got nurtured in love

she graduated high school
and married a young man who
her aunt arranged for her to meet,
she loved where she received no love…

she bore two lovely girls
whom she raised with love,
endeared by the family that raised her,
saved from a home, where she received no love…

Love Restores Peace

At 8:30 AM,
"Get up, LAURA! Charlie! Wake up...Robert...Wake up."
No reply...no reply...just ignore my wake up calls...yell at me all you want
You make me cry...cry...just shatter me like glass...you place me in the trash, but I still feel this discontent
Deep inside of me...
There's a sea of remorse swirling around me...
At 12:15 AM,
"Hey Laura!"
No reply...no reply...
"What are you doing?"
I just want to cry...a river...why?
She still ignores me...now I'm feeling the anxiety...
She still jokes around with me, but I feel so angry...and so empty...
She's texting her friends again...I must talk to her sometime
She still doesn't answer my calls...she doesn't care to wipe off my grime
Sponging inside of me...
I guess I'm left with my chores for today
My heart is swelling up in dismay...and my sky turns to gray
And I pray...for relief and I just want to say...
I love my sisters and brothers, but they truly don't care for me...or at least that's what I think till this very day
This lonesome feeling sufficates me...
Go ahead and ignore me, sister
You just added another blister
In my mouth, my hopelessness avalanches all over the ground
You make me frustrated...and now my head spins round and round
And I feel bound...
By stress and torment!
Go ahead and neglect my voice
My heart is seeping out misery...pumping with fret...
while you text your friends and rejoice
In my head, my painstaking regrets torture me profoundly
You don't care to listen - live your life without me
My soul is left in the cold...
Oh! Go ahead! Let me mold...mold...
I worry about you, sister...
But you left me to dry like glue...you made me suffer
don't beg to differ...
Go ahead! Blow fire in my direction...
I warn you...you don't want to see an eruption
I don't want to be ensnared by my corruption...
Please God...pick me off from the ground...
and show me some direction
Or I'll be broken down like the titanic...
And You don't wanna see me panic...
Panic...
At 1:00 AM,
I decide to pray to God for protection...
I pray...I pray...
I wait for His reply..........................
He helped me fight
my depression wars
He unchained me from the cage...
and taught me how to fly
He cherished me...
He understood me
and He still does till this day...
He healed my sores...
And He doesn't ignore my calls!
He makes me feel content
even in the midst of hardships -
I pray...I wait...I cry...
For His comfort daily...
to nourish me
when I feel ignored
Or when I'm stabbed in loathe...
I pray that Your peace be restored
In our family once more.
I wait
For peace
To fix the broken glass...to fix the emotions breaking us all
I pray
For the chaos to cease
To make the whole world rejoice...to encourage us to stand tall
Will love make us whole again?

Blacks

It’s like we’re doing them people a favor
Showing them, that we own up to what they say;
Stereo types isn’t the way,
But we as blacks are proving them right..
They believe that we’ll kill eachother before the
Last night,
& all our women
gone fall a victim to the streets,
Weak minded;
Not even having our children anything to eat..
The only good thing we got going for ourself
Is education,
& that aint gone support the whole nation..

Come on nie,
We gotta take stand!
Teach our children how to believe in
Themselves,
Show our mothers that they
Can make it without a man!
Prove to our fathers,
That they’ll regret they
Neglected us!
Tell our brothers the
“Freak” that noise,
& Stop that fuss!
Its like we all against
Eachother,
But it shouldn’t be this way,
We gotta get it together some day;
Them people know what they doing…
Pretending to solve these crimes,
But knowing their using the same line,
Only place they wanna see us is the cemetery,
Hmm..
Or maybe jail?
But if we don’t make there,
Best to believe:
They hoping we on the
High way to hell,
But we gotta prove em’
Wrong,
Its been too long,
Take a stand,
Cause black women don’t need any man,
Children needa believe in themselves,
Fathers should regret the neglect,
& our brothers need to stop the fuss,
I’m trying not to cuss,
But all this frustration just built up
Inside,
Its kinda hard to hide!
Think about it:
Rosa
Parks,
Martin
Luther King,
Malcom X..
& More, fault
For our freedom;
Now we got it,
& we abusing it,
Kinda like our fathers try our mothers,
But that’s a whole other subject,
We gotta get it together
& that’s a bet(:

Still Connected

From planted seeds, trees have grown.
My hope, regards this scene, is to remind you of home.

Rooted and grounded have the trees come to be.
From different forests, though, are both you and me.

Yet, like one tree that grows and bares many branches:
Rather northward, to the south, eastward, or to the west;

And no matter where fruits from a tree are selected.
I want you to know we're still connected.

Speaking That Which Is Wholesome And Good

Speaking That Which Is Wholesome and Good… You must be careful to speak that which is good and wholesome. Speaking like this will minister to others.. In a way that will "bless them!" May the words that are chosen, be used for edification… May they be said in a manner of a Godly dedication! As you speak… May you minister grace to the listener. Brining healing in the words spoken to your brother and sister! The words of kindness and love… May we all freely give it. And not quench the work of the Holy Spirit! As we are sealed by God on the day of redemption. We’re called to be HIS example. There’s no exemption! May all bitterness, wrath and anger immediately diminish. So our spiritual lives can be daily replenished! Be kind toward one another, gracious and tenderhearted… So the goodness of God… Through you… Can be started! As you forgive other… As Christ has forgiven you… May we not forget HIS words: “I LOVE YOU!” The power and grace of God is what he’s anxiously revealing. As you apply HIS words with a purpose and meaning! By Jim Pemberton Read Ephesians 4:29-32

Are You God ophobic

Are You God-ophobic? I’ve heard of phobias of different kinds. I’m sure there’s many people with “confused” minds. But there’s one “phobia” that concerns me the most. It’s a “God phobia” that’s drawing so close. It’s like people have a phobia of “In God we trust.” While so many of their lives are burdened with lust. A lust for pleasure and whatever “pleases for the moment.” Many are looking for various kinds of “fulfillment.” But fearing and obeying God? This sounds absurd! Why should anyone care? Much less… Read his word? Even prayer seems to be “a thing of the past.” How much longer will this country last? What we should fear… Is the wrath of God that will come… For not believing and accepting Jesus… His son! Everything we’ll ever need. Has already been provided! An abundant life with Christ can now be decided! Won’t you accept his gift of life everlasting? And look beyond human reasoning and understanding? Put your faith in God. And HIM alone! So you too, can have a place in his eternal home! By Jim Pemberton

God Brought A Healing To My Troubled Mind

God Brought A Healing To My Troubled Mind… I used to allow many thoughts to enter my mind. There were good and bad ones... Just about every kind. My family thought I was being a “good Christian.” I never did anything that raised “a suspicion.” I went to church every week and did the “Sunday thing.” I had no idea the kind of life my thoughts would bring. I felt much “turmoil” of what was in my head. “How much longer can I take this?” Were the words I said. As there were many bad thoughts that seemed to “burn.” Those around me didn’t know or were concerned. I needed some help. And I needed it fast! I didn’t know how much longer I would last! With no friend to help.., I decided to pray. This was my time with God! This was my day! I cried out to God with a voice of confession; “Dear Jesus rule over my mind and take possession!” As I read God’s word... Philippians 4:8 was found. Virtue and wholeness in my life needed to abound! I asked and begged God to help me to obey it! I gave my commitment to him. And not just “say it.” A love for him as a friend was found and did bring. His peace and love “washed away” the evil things. Christ restored my life and my mind was renewed. He set me free! Now, I’m BRAND NEW! Won’t you allow God to bring his love to your soul? With him in your life... All darkness will GO! With Christ YOU CAN Overcome

With Christ… You Can Overcome!

One of the things I don’t understand, Is the wickedness throughout this land. I’ve often thought and have pondered. How can this evil continue much longer? It’s amazing what man will do to each other. How people treat their sisters and brothers! The Bible says that the heart is wicked above all things. We can testify to the destruction an evil heart brings! In all of this wickedness, sin and confusion… There is an answer! There is a solution! We’ll find eternal hope and a peace within… As we come to Christ and confess our sin! Why not allow Christ to make you complete? Lay your every burden and worry at his feet! He’ll restore your life and wipe away your tears. His perfect love will cast out your fears! He’ll restore to you, what the enemy has taken. With him by your side… You’ll not be forsaken! Your heart will be strengthened and renewed! His words of life are like “heavenly food.” By the blood of the lamb… You can overcome! Christ has the victory! The battle’s been won! By Jim Pemberton

Love's Easy

Were all victims
(and mutual in that way.)
You have to feel for everyone.
We're all hiding something.
A secret
-That no one else has to know-
So don't ask.
Wonder, Don't ponder
Feel my eyes on your soul
And I'll fell yours.
That's really all it takes.
Besides,
What am I but a niche in your life?
And you in mine?

to say i love you is an understatement
for i feel so much more
i dream that we'd be blood related
till then i will wait on the chair remaining on the porch
creaking underneath my feet
listening to the wind
past times scream endless cries
for tears still running from my eyes
distance is our separation
let your beauty shine through out a darkened nation
for you've been there all along
and made my broke heart mend strong.

I Love You

I love you is more than just my words,

It is this deep down driving force of a silent sound.

Love is a magnet igniting sparks to try higher light.

Love connects beaming light twinkling at midnight.

Unmistakably, I’m assured audibly to get this heard.

I love you is more than me,

Love is pending in the depths of me I touch.

This is more than what I can realistically feel.

It is a bargainer’s deal for the sweetest steal.

Evidently, I run wild because I set it all free!

I love you is less than you,

It is an uncut gashing wound,

With lifetimes of a scored scar,

It is a typhoon of who you are,

Apparently, it is difficult to do!

I love you is less than them,

It is always lost,

It is never found,

It binds to a cost,

Hearts are bound.

I love just like you,

And you love just like me!

I swear to my God Almighty from up above my heart is pure and true!

I really do embellish everything my love is suppose to do just for you!

Forever and ever, the whole world shall open their eyes daily to see!

In lieu of this unconditional love, it is here I will always want to be!

If the Table Were Turned

You ask of people small things to do
But it seems like it’s so hard for them to do.
You say to yourself, “If the table were turned,
I would not have done this thing to you.”
You find yourself in certain situations,
And you ask individuals for their help.
But you’re left high and dry and all alone,
And once again you are all by yourself.
You know the saying goes,
What goes around comes around the same.
But some of the things that has happened to me,
I would not want those things to happen to anyone else by name.
Sometimes, the way we react,
Others do not understand,
But if the table were turned,
I guarantee you;
You would not find another like me in the land.
We do things to other people,
And you wonder if the table was turned;
Would you get treated the way you should have been,
Or would you end up just getting burned.
I know that we are going to reap, that which we sow,
Our character has to get tested.
And that’s how people would really know;
That if the table were actually turned,
It would show the kind of reaction or blow.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO, OR HOW WOULD YOU REACT, IF THE TABLE WERE TURNED!!!

Are You Exhausted Worn Out Running On Empty Fumes

Are You Exhausted? Worn Out? Running On Empty Fumes? Is your life running on empty fumes? Are the adversities and stress of life being consumed? Any zeal and passion for God may be in the past… You wonder; “How long is life going to last???” Perhaps you feel like your anchor’s “been lost at sea…” And ask; “Lord… Why is this happening to me?” Things in life often catch us “unaware…” You may ask; “does anyone out there really care?” There is someone who can help you along! In Jesus’ arms of mercy is where you belong! He walked this earth and calmed the sea of Galilee… He’ll calm the storms of life for you and me! Won’t you give him a chance... To calm your fears? And allow his love to wipe away any tears? He’ll bring peace to a hopeless situation… All you need to do… Is to give him an invitation… The choice is yours… It’s your decision to make! Won’t you do it now? Before it’s too late??? By Jim Pemberton

I love me Black woman

I love me black woman
whom God created from the sand
the black woman that I adore
she has my eyes allure
she's my first virgin born and pure
I bade in her wisdom, power, acceptance and I am sure
She's definitely the one
that has given me a special son.
I love me black woman with vision
she's ahead with an incredible mission.
i love me black woman with passion
the quality of her blossom that I cannot ignore
in my mind she has never been bored.
I love me black woman from the very top of her head toward her bottom feet.
I love me black woman all the time
wouldn't dare trade her for a dime.
I would have write the more ,but there wouldn't be space
to describe how much a black woman worth.
She's the mother of all earth
given a gift with an unbelievable birth.
Who wouldn't love a black woman
in such case is ignant.
to abuse a black woman, I dare not
She's my black woman beautiful within and out
she's all that I 'm bout
a black woman a red rose to be
I can't help myself but see
that a black woman is all that
Precious, fragile and magnificently phat
I love me black woman.

A Brother Who's Offended

An "Offended Brother..."

"A brother ofended is harder to
reach than a fortified city."
It seems like many brothers
 dwell on their "self-pity..."

Just look at how easy it is for most
brothers to get offended.
It could be you or I... Or someone
they've befriended...

Many stop having anything to do
 with a particular person.
They read God's word. But fail to learn
 HIS divine lesson.

Jesus said; "Blessed are you when you're
cursed, persecuted and despised."
So why do so many "brothers" hold
 "vengence in thier eyes?"

Is there someone you know...
Thay you've completely shut out?
Is this what being God's child...
Is really all about???

If Christ really gave to us.
What we certainly deserve...
Than his blood's atonement.
Would not be perserved..

In spite of our sin and faults...
God's heart bleeds...
He's so willing for forgive
and to meet all of our needs!

Don't allow an offense to turn into
 a "huge brick wall."
Christ came to forgive...
And to be a sacrifice for all!

Dear Sister

When God made us sisters he formed a heavenly bond,
So unbreakable, even the angels wept.
Like a doting mother, you guarded me,
Watching over my crib as I slept.

When I was little, you were my hero,
Scaring school bullies to keep me from harm.
You shared your toys; you shared your friends,
Your giving nature was part of your charm.

When I needed someone to talk to, you were always there,
Together we laughed and cried.
And when it felt like the world was against me,
You were always on my side.

Now that I’m older, I see with grown-up eyes,
I’ve noticed that something’s not right.
Your spirit’s been broken, you hide in darkness,
With too many demons to fight…

Have I been so self-centered, in my own little world?
Have I ignored your tears for too long?
Can I help you fight through the darkness of your mind?
Can I help you to stay strong?

It’s not too late to share your burdens,
Let me be there in your time of need.
I’ll cry if you cry, don’t keep the poison inside,
This time, I’ll bleed if you bleed.

Dedicated to my friend and sister, Nina

Who Love's Ya Baby

who loves ya baby
hmmm now let me see

I know my mommy did
even though her shoes I did hid

I think my daddy did
when I didn't make him snid

brothers and sisters well maybe just a little
when I didn't get in the middle

my grandpa and grandma surely does
for I'll do anything for them just because

I know my little girl loves her momma
even better than president Obama

my dogs and cats loves me
even if they continue to make me sneeze

even my close friends new and old still spark the love
for we will alway's go on and well above

paperboy surely does
cause I tip him for keeping my paper out of bushes and shrubs

milkman used to
when I didn't make him shu

bill collectors oh yes
for I'm their baby who they love the best

so who loves me
well lets just continue to see

My Partner ' A younger sister'

Secrecy,
What’s that?
Privacy,
What’s that?
My sister is growing well,
Always her eyes investigated me.

When I wrote my first love letter,
Nobody in family knew about that,
I wrote it in the midnight,
When everyone was yawning,
And sleep was swinging her swing,
Darkness was enjoying calmly,
Stars were twinkling in the palm of clear sky,
Cool air was embracing softly,
Moon was dripping the blossom.

Everything was moving slowly slowly,
As they were frightened from noise,
Street Dogs were hiding in sleep,
Rats were jumping over cats,
Jackal were rounding openly in the streets,
They were scratching bins for foods,
Owl was watching them from the street light pole,
My dim light in the corner was moving the words.
My dear love,’ It was nice to talk.’
I am free on the weekend.
Nothing was new in my first writing,
But it was all threatening to me.

If Mum found me that,
If Dad minded about me,
How will treat my brother?
How did I feel when my friends have annoying?
It will be strange and conscious,
When they shall draw a cartoon of my love, and me
A spider web,
Or a horse ridding girl,
And a pony; a step chaser,
I was seeking to remove my steps,
As the waves were touching to sore.

A very wide and open camping,
But sand seemed itself totally unharmed.
Very soft, as nobody touched it before,
My body was shrinking itself,
The expression was fragrantting my own,
I was trying to hide my dreams,
I never new that,
My younger sister has watching me
She read my letter when I was in bath.
What was then?
She was partner of my secrets.
She was my own,
Where privacy and secrecy has no meaning.

Like the Best of Sisters

Looking for a sister?
When one's right under your nose?
I wanna be your sis
in every problem
I wanna help you grow
Even if you are older
If you do something
I'll appreciate it
If something causes you pain
I'll brush it away
I'm here to help
I'm here to love
You and me
Like the best of sisters
You and me
One in two bodies
I'm here for you
You're here for me
You and me
Like the best of sisters

Dear Friend

Dear Friend,

I write you this letter,

To show you why this friendship will last forever.

When I'm ever down,

You're the only one that can turn it around.

When I shed a tear,

You wipe it away and tell me, "I'm here".

When I'm having a bad day,

You always know the right thing to say.

You make me laugh and smile,

And always encourage me to walk that extra mile.

You're the only one that was there.

You're the only one that said, "I care".

We may annoy each other,

But we'll always be together.

Even though things don't go right,

You're the reason why I stand up and fight.

You're my best friend,

And we'll always be together til the end.

With love,

Your angel from above

Where Did They Go

The girl with the lustful eyes and the mini skirts, where did she go?
I see her physically but for some reason the wondering eyes and mini skirts no longer show.
The guy who would drink every night until his eyes closed, he is no longer here.
I see him physically but for some reason the drunken nights with Vodka, Whiskey and Rum have disappeared.
Where did they go?
Where is the girl with the piercings and tattoos that were placed at the small of her back?
I see her physically but for some reason now piercings and tattoos are what she lacks.
Where is the guy who danced in the club Sunday through Saturday with no day to rest?
I see him physically but for some reason he will not step foot in the club anymore, he confessed.
Where did they go?
Where is the girl who treated every man like her husband and gave him lust on another degree?
I see her physically but for some reason she now does not have sex before marriage no matter how much he pleas.
Where is the guy that hit and curse women like his mother and sister since the age of fifteen?
I see him physically but for some reason now he treats his mother and sister like queens.
Where did they go?
Where is the girl who was so depressed that she cut her wrist just to get attention when she felt alone?
I see her physically but for some reason the cutting has cease and now she is getting help to make her secret problems known.
Where is the guy who had sex with girls night after night just to prove to his friends who was on top?
I see him physically but for some reason the random sex acts with random girls have stopped.
Where did they go?
They were tired of the life they lived and decided to kill what held them back the most,
They stopped feeding their flesh, until the flesh became ghost.
Giving up the ways of the world, and started living like the ways of Christ they were born again,
No longer wanting to stray away from GOD and live their life through sin.
So where did they go?
They went in the direction where there is everlasting life,
Living for GOD, now saved, now a husband, and now finally a wife.

when i thought and thought

In class so quietly I sat
Solving the math I had
Everybody writing
Some people answering
My back paining me
My body deceiving me
While I took a scrap book out
And used a pencil I had
To write this poem
While I wrote I thought
Of life & afterlife
Heaven & hell
Health & sickness
While my back hurts me like hell
I thought and thought
I awaited my destiny, my faith
My love towards others &
All of my hate
My duty towards life
My responsibility my sisters await
I thought about mom, about dad
About love I filled my head with desires
With sacrifices I want to make
With responsibilities I have to take
While I wrote and wrote
And my heart pounded like it was in a race
I said oh God oh mighty lord
Forgive me
And my pencil dropped off my hand, and I in memories
& wonders fell…

Weed And Feed

On my day's journey
Think going to a basketball tourney

Stopped by sisters house
It was as quiet as a mouse

Out in her garden she sits
Hoe claw and gloves of misfits

Peddle pushers to kaboot
Gotta love her for she's a hoot

She kept digging at those weeds
And filling the holes with new seeds

I asked if she was tired of this
She replyed no as she turned and twist

See hoeing your garden
Is like a life's pardon

You might say it's like losing weight
Shedding unwanted pounds you hate

The hurries and worries
Even if their some kind of snow flurries

As we laughed and cried
I felt more pride

For my sister did it to me once again
Helped me weed out my own garden from within

Fatal Injection

Remember the good days?
We were just kids
We fought all the time
But were always good friends
We'd always have fun
We'd play games all day
Those were the good days
What can I say?
You are my sister
My flesh and my blood
My gift from God
From the heavens above
You mean more to me
Than a bat or a ball
You were always there for me
To catch me when I fall
Now it's your turn
I must help you
You're lost and confused
You don't know what to do
You've sold your soul
And now you're in pain
Now you'll do anything
You're going insane
Your body is ravaged
Your mind is fried
You need to get help
But you haven't even tried
You need to find yourself
The person within
Help yourself now
Before you can't win
I remember the old you
The one with no fear
Have you seen yourself lately?
Take a look in the mirror
Maybe you will see
Maybe you will care
This is hell in the making
And I cannont bare
Find yourself now
Get out of this nosedive
You must find your center
Or you will never survive

A comfortable sound; is found in the pews
Illuminated, we are feeling the Good News
As this providence is caught alive
All tempestuous thoughts of transgressors subside
Hallelujah, HE brings divine will for all of us too…
It is so good to hear the sweet sounds from the pews

God Always Prevails Truth---Twins

What do you do???
When you suddenly find…
That through your whole life time
You was totally blind…
Not knowing… the Truth

The family you known..
Mom, Dad.. Sisters Brothers
You have always called your own
You grown-up with them
All your life…

Then all of a sudden
Truth is prevailed…
Finding out
that you didn’t belong
Mom and Dad didn’t have any baby pics of you
Out of Seven Children…
Only Your baby pics were missing

You asked you mom… if she had any of your baby pics
But she told you.. Only yours was burned in a fire
You asked your dad… if he had any of your baby pics
But he told you… Only yours was lost in a move

You find.. that they were lying
Not really your family all along
But yet.. they not say a-word..
They all kept it secret..
Thinking that you would never know
The Truth…

BEHOLD THE TRUTH..
Truth is Prevailed..
For tis be.. For they did not know
God Prevails Truth in all things

They did Not know.. I had a twin..
A Twin… I shall soon meet
She looks just like me...

Truth is Now prevailed..
Through all the lies that was spun…
Through all times.. secrets they kept me from
All along God had plans…
Revealing Truth.. Twins…

Yes.. I have a Twin Sister
whom is just like me
All my Friends thought I was her
seen her.. know her
Soon I shall.. meet her… tis be

Knowing all Truth.. Truth shall set me Free..
For tho.. I was bought.. and sold.. time at birth
Name is changed… everything.. dates.. times…
People lied… but I never had known…
Now.. Truth is being Shown
I was a twin..

God… Always Prevails Truth..
No matter how much..
As person thinks they can get by..
With secrets... spinning lies..
God Always… Prevails All Truth
Truth does Not hide...

True Friends

To wander in life, what does this do?
Going day by day, wondering where the next meal is.
Where I am going to sleep at night?
What is out there for me?
Is God even watching what is happening to me?
Does He even care??
Wandering aimlessly in the dark valley!
Will this ever change?
It doesn't seem like it ever will!
I have found one friend; a true friend.
She tells me that no matter what she will be there for me.
I cry, because what she tells me is true.
She says, " At the end of the day, my momma's still my biggest fan!"
With tears in my eyes I get in my mom's car and promise her that no matter what
I love her!
I am glad I have her as a friend, A TRUE FRIEND!!!

this is dedicated to my friend (she knows who she is) I LOVE YOU

Those Who Have Wronged Us

Those Who Have Wronged Us… I had a loved one whom I thought loved me. I couldn’t understand how she would treat me! I thought she was a Christian. She said she was. She told me; “I don’t like you just because!” As the years went by, just the way she lived. I wanted nothing to do with her! Much less forgive! The things she did were hurtful and caused pain. I didn’t even want to mention her name! Years later, I felt the lord tugging at my heart! God wanted a healing… And a fresh start I wanted an apology… It never took place. I felt the Lord asking me for more of his grace. You see, after all these years, with no words spoken. I heard of some news, and my heart was broken. I found out this person was soon at death’s door. When I found out… I fell to the floor! I cried “Father in heaven will you please forgive me? I didn’t love her, in spite of how she would treat me!” The opportunity I had was a chance for forgiving. Now she hasn’t much longer that she’ll be living! May this be a warning and a “wake up” reminder! To those who wronged us, we need to be kinder! Christ’ love needs to break the “barriers” down. So forgiveness in our lives will certainly be found! By Jim Pemberton

I’ll add you to my safe keeps.
And put you with my collections.
I’ll sit back with my own reflections.
After, I’ve taken hundreds of peeps.

I’ll put you under my pillow where I sleep.
And then there will be no exceptions.
It’s where delusion versus deceptions.
You and I will never weep.

Until your heart is free to run,
I’ll be collecting ashes and dust.
I’ll never be done!
And I’ll never rust.

My collections of restorations appeal.
Piece by piece many of you will heal.

The Cultivated Mind (Home Grown)

Father and Mother
With golden determination
Focused to open my thoughts
in several ways of revelation --
My manner is... Homegrown
The once green mind still looks back;
at all that has been revealed to its now browned shell…
and with that same determination of gold
I pass down the revelations of old
to my children, as I have been told
The mind should always be
Cultivated to the best of ones abilities....
Its focus should start within the home
That is why I feel blessed
When I tell you my children
Most assuredly -- I am Home Grown.

Author’s Comments:
As a farmer tills the earth and toils to harvest that which he has sown and the wife
prepares the table before him, produced from within the bounty reaped thereof...
Thus, we should take the time to cultivate the minds of our children, to also
acknowledge their surroundings and the people there in.
To stay focused on the blessings at hand, that they not live stagnant lives but to be
productively responsible for the gifts which they each so uniquely possess.
The mind is a terrible thing to waste.

' Dissertation On Beauty ... '

If Aiming For Beauty
Pretty, Is Nice
But Plain Vanity
Is A Venal-Vice

Inner Beauty: Is A Necessity
Outer Beauty: (Maybe) Superficiality
Outer Beauty: May Impress Memory
But Inner Beauty: Lasts An Eternity

Now, As A Teen
I Did Preen
 Too Much Esteem
 Oldest, Sister Seen …

So, As A Teen, I Was Told
Advice To Shape- Mold
Words: Worthy-Gold
Listen: Behold …

“You Are Pretty, Yes It’s True
But Just Wait A Minute or Maybe Two
All In Time and Life’s View
Will Come Someone … Prettier Than You

So, Don’t Be A Victim-in-Error
Like The Queen, due to Snow White and A Mirror
Of Course, There’ll Be Somebody Fairer
So, Don’t Be A Silly-Comparer …

… ‘Cause, The Prettiest Person
Is Ugly To Someone
And The Ugliest Person
Looks Good To Somebody, Hon …

Lovely, Is As Lovely Do …
Be A Portrait and Not Just Surface-Cute
Be A Shame, If Someone Spends Time With You
And Sees, Ain’t Nothing Else, Or Nothin’ New

‘Cause I’ve Seen People
Who Were ‘Knock-Outs’ ! …
That is, Until
They Opened Their Mouths

And Revealed Hostility
In Hearts
Made Attraction-Desirability
… Depart

See: Mean and Envy
And A Barb-Wire Tongue
And Harm and Dumb …
Starts When Young

So, Strive To Be Kind
A Gentle Heart-Smile
Clean and Sweet
And Your Own-Love-Style

… Also Godly Fear
And Inner Beauty Will Appear
Your Outer Beauty Will Be Clear …”
… My Stunning Sister, I Still Hear …

“Beauty … Is In The Eye Of The Beholder”
Especially True … As We Grow Older

'The Woman and The Wall...'

The Woman Stands By The Wall
… knowing No Harm Shall Pass Thru
It is Strong … Made of Stone and Tall
A Constructed, Marvel – True …

The Woman Places By The Wall …
… a Basket of Hopes and Dreams
She knows, No Creepy Creature Can Crawl
Past This Foundation, as Deep as the Seas …

And The Wall Reaches to Destinies Un-Shown
Long Distance, Soaring Sure and Straight
So, the Woman can Lean Upon
and Rest on This Journey So Great

The Woman Stays By The Wall
The Wall Blocks Out Horrible Views
And Screams and Things Too Evil To Call…
… She Never Wants To Go Over You …

The Woman Holds Onto The Wall
Admiring Its Fortitude, Its Texture
And Tho’ Her Hands May Be Small
She Will Attempt to Respectfully Measure

… This Reliable, Wonderful-Wall
Stands Built, for Her Pretty Protection
So, This Battle-Scarred-Wall, Will Not Fall…
… from Her Supporting, Adoring, Affection

For God, Took Away Her Prayer-Shawl 1 Cor. 11: 5
as She Marched, Under Heavenly-Protocol
and Master-Builder, Chose This One Over Them All
to Be Her Outstanding, Warrior-Wall !

… The Woman and The Wall …

' The Knight Guards Thee ... ' (Medieval # 5)

Thou Art Fair and Not Forsaken
The Knight Guards Thee
as Thou Slumber midst
Embers of Purity
with Palms of Vespers
Thou Art Fair and Not Forsaken

A Chaste Kiss doth Pledge
The Knight Guards Thee
Treads the Cold-Castle Halls
...Hours of Torch-lit Vigil
Eyes, Terrible as Flames Upon...
Thy Fairness... never Forsaken

Nay, no Invasion of Spirit Cometh
The Knight Guards Thee
against Travail, Hordes and Dread
Sword and Teeth wouldst Bathe in Blood
'Ere harm Trespass to Thee
Thou Art Fair and Not Forsaken
In Peace, Rest... Fair Maiden

The Beauty In You

I seen the beauty within you
you unfurled it and let it flew

touching all each passing day
heart of gold when it came to a childs play

god sent down his special angels
and saving that dance to a heavenly tango

guess God needed you more then I
but do not fret sis for my heart now sighs

just knowing your with our family above
someday we'll rejoice on the wings of a dove

for the wolf and shepherd may cross my path
but it is I that shall have its last laugh

for one can not take away those loving years
even if I'm the one left standing alone in tears

for time we shared together was given few
I was honored to see the inner beauty in you

your loving daughter and son will be alright
as they look upon the land and see the stars shine so bright

so as you travel above the high drifted planes
Ill be waiting for god to someday explain

How can one so young and free
Be taken away from somebody like me

but I will be thankful for having a sister like you
who shared her passion and beauty for life and for all she knew

CHUGGA

Chugga became our hero in third grade
and he passed into myth in eighth grade.
Chugga wasn't a Catholic, but his parents
sent him to school with us anyway.

In third grade, one early fall afternoon,
Sister Mary Grace was going down the line
hitting each of us on our up-turned palms
with a large wooden ruler.
She swung the ruler at Chugga's hand
when, poof, he pulled it away
and Sister hit herself in the leg.
We all laughed.
Of course, Chugga was marched down the hall
where Sister Mary Bertha made him kneel down,
smacked him across the face with her hand
and then struck both of his hands with the ruler.

I don't remember what he'd done wrong in eighth grade,
but Sister Bertha, all 4' 8" of her,
yanked all 5' 11" of skinny Chugga
out of his desk and dragged him across
the hall into the bathrooms.
He told us after school how she had made him
take down his pants and she
got her rocks off by
beating him on his ass and back
with a piece of oak wood that was
the foot rest from the back of a student's desk.
The board was over a foot long,
four inches wide and over an inch thick.
Chugga told us that Big Bertha had
broken the board while smacking him
across the back.

dreams coming true

dont worry everything is going to be alright,
i will be here to hold you through the night,
even though outside is cold,
i am here yours to hold,
sleeping right throughout the night,
i am here to tuck you in tight,
protecting you from all thats wrong,
keeping you safe and strong,
whispering softly in your ear,
erasing all the bad you hear,
staying all night by your side,
knowing that your dreams are inside,
all of them are coming true,
because you know i'm loveing you,
dont worry everything is going to be alright,
i will be here to hold you through the night.
