Heritage

The ranch on which I hang my hat, though short on most the frills,
Is thirteen sections, give or take, of rugged trails an’ hills.
We call it ‘home’, our little world, our very own frontier,
Amongst the cattle, sheep an' goats; the varmints, hogs an' deer.

Today I watched the breakin' dawn an' whiffed the mornin' air,
A time I often set aside for things like thought an' prayer.
A Mockin'bird an' Mornin' Dove, an' other birds at play,
Were there to sing an' set the mood to start another day.

This mornin' saw the strangest thing, like time itself had merged,
An' all the souls who once were here, appeared an' then converged.
In swirlin' clouds of mist an' fog, right off the bluffs they rolled,
Till all had gathered in the glen, the modern an' the old.

The Indians, conquistadors, an' other ancient men,
The soldiers from this country's wars, an' cowboys from back when…
They all had come from yesterday to help me understand
Our link with those who came before, to heritage an' land.

A crazy notion, so I thought, that they could just appear,
But as the morning went along the reason got real clear.
They rode along with me that day to show me things I’ve missed,
The things I’ve seen a thousand times an’ some I’d just dismissed.

Those wagon roads of long ago, still evident today,
Are carved in rock an' rutted earth, not apt to wash away.
They linked the missions, forts an' towns those many years gone by;
An' left their mark for all to see, as modern times grew nigh.

The artifacts an' weathered ruins attest to yesterdays,
When others came an' lived their lives in very different ways.
We've seen their skill in arrowheads they honed from fired stone,
An' craftsmanship in beads an' tools they fashioned out of bone.

At ever turn and trail we took was something to remind,
The Maker must have had a plan laid out for humankind.
The Earth He made’s been feedin' us a half-a-million years,
An' used it's wonder, force an' change to challenge pioneers.

I do not know if they'll return or if they’ll feel the need,
But I’m prepared to ride the trail, where ever it may lead.
We all are spirits ridin’ time with bodies of the Earth,
Whose time has come to take the reins an’ offer up our worth.

The land has been the legacy we cultivate an’ reap,
The life has been the heritage our father’s fought to keep,
An’ we are bound throughout our time with those who came before,
To put our hearts and souls to it, and make it something more.

Tea Leaves On The Bosphorus

Tea Leaves On The Bosphorus

Seated at a table by the stirring water,
My eyes absorb the shore of Asia.
Minerets and aged worn stone
Stand haphazardly along the banks.
Istanbul is a lady with secrets
She'll lure you with her unrevealed virgin beauty,
Then seduce you with her ancient lovers.

Grilled sardines filled my charger
Fish pulled from the strait just minutes before,
Lay garnished with parsley and mint .
Red pickled turnips and warm flat bread
Are the implements that help feed me
And scoop up the humus,
Turkish nourishment for my soul.

The empty plates are cleared by a handsome waiter
With dubious intentions I feared,
But I was flattered none the less.
A bowl of yogurt was placed before me,
And my admirer arrived with a comb of honey.
He held it high above the creamy cloud and let the heavy ochre
languidly pour atop the milky whiteness of delight.
After his seduction,he left me alone to my pleasure
As I lapped at the sweet and sour heavenly temptation,
that parted my lips and elevated my being.

As I recovered from my rapture, two eyes caught mine.
The heathen that destroyed my diet approached the table uninvited.
He pulled up a chair and sat down across from me.
In his hands, a cup.
He offered to tell me my future.
White, small, as fragile as an eggshell with the top lopped off.
Within was a dark tea with floating leaves.
In a chivalrous attempt at English conversation,
He handed me the libation and the offer to read the remains.

I, alone in a man's world, unmarried, and of a certain age,
Did not need encouragement and I accepted his offer.
I drained the tea in one gulp and returned it to his hands.
He placed the cup in one palm , then turned it upside down,
Allowing the remaining fluid to drip out around the cup and onto the table.
Once the cup was upright again he studied the leaves, then he spoke.

His voice was soft, at times , unintelligible
His reading was honest, and truthful, and painful.
His prophecy, amusing, and entertaining
His vision and it's accuracy were astounding.

Fifteen years later, the leaves delivered on their promise.
Long fluid lines inside the cup foretold of a marriage,
To a man who would cross a sea to find me.
Two shorter drippings were the children that now delight me.
The tea ring that he was able to complete around the cup ,
Was the warmth of a love that would soon envelop me.

Tea, anyone?

Raindrops

Raindrops
are like my thoughts
falling down into my mind
sending goose bumps down
my spine

Their cool aftermath
cleanses me of my thoughts
of fear and uncertainty
about what tomorrows
pain may bring

They make me feel,
wet with creativity
drenched in my optimistic
illumination. glistening
raindrops, my thoughts
leave paths of pleasurable
distress, and hope of success
which road, less traveled
may be the best

Forget an umbrella
when these raindrops
arrive, I walk outside
arms open wide

Ready to Receive
whatever
the mind storm may bring
because raindrops are
as my thoughts, falling
down into my mind
sending shivers down
my spine

My brain, yearns
for the rain, to wash away
the pain, tomorrows worry
does bring
One special drop
could speed up life's clock
to the time
I can handle my own
and not dwell inside my controllers
home

For raindrops are,
like my thoughts
falling down into my mind
sending goose bumps
down my spine

My Window

In the middle of my plain white wall
There is a plain white window
And next to my plain white window
Is where I sit in a plain white dress
On a plain white chair
And every morning the sun rises
And every evening the sun sets
I see them all from my window
They are very pretty
With many colors
And then one day
A man stops by my window
He calls to me as I sit
In my plain white dress
On my plain white chair
He calls to me to tell me of the world
That I may come and join him
But I have seen the troubles of the world
All beyond my window
And I say to him I'd rather stay
And sit here by my window
Where troubles cannot reach me
He smiles a sweet sad smile as he walks away
Though the next day he is back again
And he talks to me of grass
Of green lush grass that is soft enough to walk on barefoot
I tell him of the glass that is hidden among the blades
He just smiles a sweet sad smile as he walks away
And back again he comes
To tell me of the ocean and sandy beaches
With white sand so pure you can lay naked upon it
I shake my head and tell of the pirates
That come to kidnap young and pretty girls
He smiles his sweet sad smile as he walks away
The next day he walks softly to my window
And he tells me of a garden untouched by men
Where flowers are the size of children
And blooms reach to the heavens
He tells me of the grass that hides no glass
Of a sky that is of the brightest blue
And a stream that is so pure you can
Be unwary of drinking from it
He talks of fish and birds of indescribable beauty
All this he tells me is mine
I must only leave my window and I may see it
I shake my head sadly as I tell him
I am afraid the world holds too much danger
For even if there were such a place
What misfortunes may befall me
On my way to this so called garden
He smiles a very sad smile and as he walks away
He says that paradise belongs to those who
Take risks and battle hardships to reach it
These are the words I remember as I watch the sun set
And the next day when he comes
To my plain white window
He will see me missing in my plain white dress
On an empty plain white chair
For I have gone to walk on glass and battle pirates
On my way to paradises garden

The road to a Championship

Early one morning a group of rookie's and veteran's ballplayers emerge onto the prac-
tice field destine to began an grueling season of hardwork and a dedication to an common-
goal of Superiority. They come out of the locker room after the coach has given assign-
ment's and now everyone minds are on one accord, one agenda and together they all say to
themselve's. "The road to a Championship began when the priority to be the best", "is know
from one and all roads to success is gear towards teamwork and passionate loyalty to suc-
ceed at any means there is". Loyalty to push on through the inclimate weather, hardwork off
the field as well on the field is approachable only when a championship atmosphere surrounds
itself with ballplayer's and not attitude's disrespectful to the cause of the challenge's to be-
come the best at what you do, and do the best at what not to do. Teamwork is a do-able part
of the puzzle, but there's more to it then that. There is hunger, and then all the pieces falls
together when that hunger is fed an astronomical desire that fill-up the body and your minds
with offensive and defensive individual's that love's victory and enjoy's a desire to not finish
the race in last place. So out emerge's a champion in his relationship to his fellow ballplayers
and to his family as that of maturity and that of unlimited resources of the uncoachable en-
tangable fortitude that seperate the advantage's over the disadvantages that make his or her
teammate's reach the level of sportsmenship unseen and redeem as the fans come to see a
player that value's himself and value the diffucult task of Sunday to Sunday ability to be not
only a scholar athelete but also The road of a Champion is what make's him love to compete:

When He Smiles

The sun shines again for he smiles. The indeterminable day no longer flees or hides for its end is sought, as is its beginning for he smiles. Confusion though abiding must wait the laggard servant scolded by the Mistress Aphrodite for he smiles. Want must find a different dwelling for the moment un-housed by sweetest joy for he smiles. The sun shines again.

BLACK MAGIC WOMAN

Madame Mistress, ebonies princess,
Southern comforts golden jewel,
A golden beauty down south does dwell.
She hides many secrets beneath her,
Glittering mask of mystery's mystic spells.
A dark priestess is this Cajun queen,
Black widows magic women,
Known as Ms. New Orleans.
In her crimson gown, trimmed by
Velvet's purple hues, she smiles
Behind her white lace fan.
A beguiling angel is she the devils
 Own kindred.
The voodoo queen of the swampy delta,
Ruling over the shadow demons,
Whom guard the everglades.
Underneath fancy face and social grace,
Lies the misbegotten heart of a
 Witches soul.
Here the trumpets sound at,
La Carnival as minstrels stroll,
Down Bourbon Street with rhythmic,
Precision's precise step.
Come join in celebrations grand parade,
The Maude Gra. Where anything goes,
Here things are forgotten as the sun rises,
This grand lady of beauty's legacy's charm.
Presses one finger to her redden lips,
Speaking not more than a hushed whispers
Sigh carried across bayou.
Thus does the Spanish moss weep, for
Those lost souls swallowed whole,
Beneath nights dark covenant of death.
Ghostly images walk the muddy side shores,
Phantom spectators existing as prisoners,
Trapped in limbos web, a thin fine line
Between the living and the dead.
Beware lone travelers, those for whom,
Seek mysteries glamor and mystic,
Of the southern by ways.
All are welcome to taste our spicy
Hospitality.
Yet beware pay homages respect,
To Mz. New Orleans, she after all takes
Great care of her own.

Poet Destroyer Parades and Carnivals

Poet Destroyer - Parades and Carnivals

Soft feathers gather up with color
On the wind to play as friends
They come floating first above the boulevard
Kind thoughts there elevate, somewhere between the innocence
Trumpets, drums and violins come thumping on the street
Poet Destroyer is there to keep the peace
Hiding in disguise as Linda
She jumps up one thousand feet and lands
Right in the heart of Poetry Soup with marching bands
Flutes come alive while she eats fire
Catching knives between her teeth, and bullets just for fun
While petting hungry tigers, yawning all the while
Parades fill in the rest of life with yellows reds and peach designs
When PD comes marching down the streets all smiles
She wakes up, takes on greater feats
Casting royal colors in purples, gold and lavenders
Announcing the start of carnival
Trusted, serene, sweet dreams and memories
She speaks of dragons flying by her side in times gone by
But today, arise!... carnivals, parades, and dancing happy feet
Bad memories sink out of sight
Diabolical forces, hard matters, enemies of play
Will have to gravitate their weight some other day
No draconian measures or moments here
PD has come to host parades and gaiety
Delicious love and fun gather up the sun
You can certainly feel the warmth
Rising lighter than the feathers to tickle everyone
Linda jumps again and does it just for fun

Light On the Devil's Chord - Day 13

In his seething silence, I spoke, softly to him,
“Did I desire once to be higher than you, oh seething heart?
Could I, in my human flesh, sympathize for your imminent demise?
Cradling you in my sorrows, as an embryo not yet grown
Yes, I had resented my place,
Barreling in the disease of my compassion for you,
I spoke, I sang, I wrote poetry in your name,
And I glorified your poison as it had shaped my ways,
How it evaded my mind in its sick arrays,
Even as the gift of knowledge grew upon my soul,
Lighting my way in places where you have swallowed it

The very poison you distributed among the masses,
Passed from soul to soul,
In your time of dominion, you had control,
Stringing as you did, your puppets to dance
To your song, your darkening chords,
Humanity belittled in your rampaging reign,
Clouded in your clinging arms
Few stood tall against the strain,
That your fingers would pluck the strings
Your claws slipped from their grip
Digging and breaking the ground for the nourishing weak

I sorrowed over the unjustifiable sins,
Wondering why you were so adamant to win
I spoke to you as a child would do,
Questioning you unassumingly,
Curiously crawling toward your misery
To understand your heart of mystery
Today, I do the same, as a child,
But with strength, and the prospect to endure
Till the days pass as they have always
Hours dwindling while my company tenses
My host, You, oh Tortured One,
Waiting, for the moment to crush me in your dwindling power
The night shall drain just as the day does
And we shall both, in different times,
Stand in glory, to kneel as prostrates corrected…”

The lighted maelstrom rumbled and grew,
Rising higher upon the walls of the pit
Voices crescendoing in a frightful dissonance
As he stood before it, looking out on the balcony
He held his tongue, in deep thought
“Come,” Said he, turning his body slowly toward me

His hand stretched out to me and I stared at it,
His long fingers eager for my touch,
Fervent for my light,
So that he may take it all away
In the grip of his powerful sway

I set my hand purposely upon his,
He wrapped his long fingers and claws around,
Trembling in impatience, tugging me along
His wings flapping mightily,
Lusty burning in his hold

He sang,
“Toward my heart you draw forth your compassions,
As I plan against your God’s Kingdom so restlessly,
My hand outstretched, you speak your glories,
And clasp onto what burns I may offer
To empower such a woman as you,
I will rise and show you, the Domination Age to come,
An Age that calls to you, beautiful, strange woman,
Under your moist lashes,
And my dire distractions
I am tormented not in your sight,
You relieve this heart with your brashness so right,
You are courageous in your unpretentious ways,
Your truth tolerant of these darkening days
Rising we fly, as we discuss our distinctive fight,
My creations, your eyes open to
I will show you my reign, my pain,
The burden that grows to this evil I sustain
We, outcasts, questioners of immoral rectitude
The knowledge answered in years of your solitude
I will answer you as I long to do,
Upon the lips that utter my magnificence
Upon the face that musters brilliance
You do not blind yourself with your intelligence,
Though you rest your hand upon mine with distance
You shall never fear me again as you once did, sweet woman
You shall fear me more so, until your swelling soul is sore
Thrashing in its conflicted muddles
The truth of our world will break your beleaguered heart free
Bring your heart once more near me,
For in you, I shall not die…”

In Fantasy Land

There is a place where one can go
To laugh, to hope, to always know
There’s nothing too hard for you to stand
When you dare to come to Fantasy Land.
Oh Yes, do come to Fantasy Land.

Come soar with me to heights unknown
To ecstasies not yet full blown
To dreams, and schemes and wondrous plans
They’re here – right here in Fantasy Land.
There’s laughter here in Fantasy Land.

There is a place with song, and dance
And moonlit nights made for romance
And all these things are at your command
If you believe in Fantasy Land.
The air is fresh in Fantasy Land.

With sunlit days and starlit skies,
And streams and lakes; palm trees so high
And oyster pearls to hold in your hand
But you must believe in Fantasy Land
The sun is here in Fantasy Land.

Imagine your troubles are melting away
With thousands of moonbeams lighting your way
Whatever you need, or want and plan
Is yours, when you come to Fantasy Land.
Enhance your mind in Fantasy Land.

For what do you have if not today?
Those sorrows and problems can fade away
For a time, at least – yes, feel the sand – on the beach
It’s here, in Fantasy Land.
Across the bridge, in Fantasy Land

Misjudged

Standing still head's up
Retrospect greatest pitfalls
Mass consciousness whim

Wandering till dawn
Waiting brave for the result
Less breathe heartless beat

Until the mind soar
Now is inexplicable
Sufferings indeed

People grim anew
For the best of all Juries
Render canny nod

Continued service
Captivated voter's wit
Last laugh never ends.

FORGOTTEN TREASURE

FORGOTTEN TREASURE

I've found the fountain of youth
When I stumbled across the forbidden garden
Right smack in the middle of everything
Was what I thought to be a wishing well
I immediately tossed a quarter into the sea
Looking down, puzzled as can be
I peeked in to see where it fell
I leaned over and that's when I saw my vanity
It was in there waiting for me
The reflection in the water was me before this day and age
I thought, what could this be?
With one drop on my taste buds
I knew I found the one true key
The most beautiful thing that can set one free
I reached in to touch the poetry inside me

World above the clouds

Far away from this bonded crowd,
Far away from these layers of
shroud,
Oh wings of the air glide me away,
To the world, world above the
clouds.

To the giant mountains of mist,
Where sparkling houses of rain
will
be built,
World beneath where would be
moving,
And sun rays where will be cold
and soothing.

Where I won’t be bound by laws,
And I could speak freely about
the
things I love aloud,
Yeah to the world with cloud
above the clouds,
Where everything just everything
will be allowed.

Sliding on morning dews that stays
till night,
Diving in the night’s sky that looks
like morning light,
With no paths to follow,
I’ll glide free and fast,
Yawing, pitching, bouncing,
shouting,
Like the endless penumbra it’s
unknown where I’ll last
Yeah endless it is,
And it’s unknown where I’ll last

OUT OF THE WATER

Hooves of aquatic thunder these white steeds
Of wonder, slamming against the coral reef
As hail storms rage, set us free their voices
Softly speak through the seashells littering
The sandy beach.
Enchantments cursed beast of purity’s beauty
Trapped within the foam and spray, touching
Almost the land then in sorrow’s undertow
Driven back is this mystical herd of wild
Mustangs.
Poseidon’s sacred water horses, surfing
Within the frothy s riptide of mermaid tears,
Clashing their silvery horse shoes, against the
Rocky edges of the under currents tidal surge
These titans of the fathoms deepest depths.
Lightening immortals shimmering, bathing
Translucent beneath the hued blue waves,
The last unicorns beg for release, to run
Freedom trails once more, to feel the
Mountains breezes of liberation flowing
Through their milk white manes again.
But silence is the reply from their capturer,
Unmoved is his trident of power, sitting on
His ivory thrown Poseidon watches these
Wonders of myth, and relishes in their
Spectacular beauty, vowing never to
Set them free, thee belong to me, my
Sacred water steeds of the bluest deep.
Within the seashells hear them weep,
These creatures of the mystical realm,
Crying out, release us please, can thrust,
Not hear us.
Out of the water, to feel mother earth
Beneath our silver hooves, we give our
Horns of crystal power, or the shimmering
Shine that beguiles our under sea father.
Out of the water, we’d roam in the wilderness
Wild, roll amongst the sandy duns of the desert,
Climb the mountain tops heights, and breath
The sweet air of freedom within our lungs.
Out of the water, for just one single day,
We sacrifice all that we are, or were in
Mysticism mystical realm, just to be free!
Hooves of aquatic thunder these white steeds
Of wonder, slamming against the coral reef
As hail storms rage, set us free their voices
Softly speak through the seashells littering
The sandy beach.

THE HANGING TREE

Dead men tell no tails, or so the winds of
Destiny’s say.
On judgment hill from on high,
Voices do echo downwards, as the
Noose does sway, back and forth, on the
Hangman's tree.
These gallows, of oaken branches, act as tethers,
Shackles, holding the forsaken, souls prisoner.
Ghost phantoms cling, to it's rotten limbs,
That break beneath times endless rampage.
Regrets fallen horsemen, of the old west,
Stand guard, sentinels on horse back,
Wearing a tarnished tin star.
God's law keepers, are branded, sworn,
By their honor, to protect even after death,
The gates of heaven, from this spawn of hell.
Beware evil desperadoes, no mercy will
This the lord's posses show unto you,
For these riders bare a different mark.
A silver cross of justice, given by
The Almighty’s hand himself.
Say thy prayers, all lawless men,
For on this day, does the rope tighten,
Around your neck, there is no reprieve,
No salvation for evils deceit.
Hell bound are thou, the devils breed.
But beware, there is no escape,
From this grave site.
At dawns first light, as it spreads
 Across the western horizon.
Know that yee, are one of many spirits
Doomed, to be weaved within the
Tangled limbs, called the hang
Mans tree.

SPIRIT RIDER

Alone figure stands,
On sunsets rock.
Summers hot breezes brush,
Against bare skins flesh.
Stalking the ageless path.
Behold histories Indian brave,
Man, and horse intertwined.
Symbiotic beings joined,
They are one.
The spirit rider gallops,
Across freedoms trail.
Cautiously, allying arrow unto bow,
Aiming swiftly his shot to kill.
Guardian’s raging bull charges,
Forward.
Protectors sacrifice, blood mingles,
Amongst dust clouds aftermath,
His majesty lies slain.
Dark brown eyes close,
Glimpsing blue sky for the,
Last time.
Heavens prairies, welcome destiny's,
Honorable foe,
The hunter kneels beside the giant's,
Stilled heart,
Giving thanks, singing chants rise,
Ascending heights greener,
Pastures unto a higher plain.
It echoes in valleys deep,
Touching the lands of his,
 Fore fathers.
Tonight beneath flames tribal fires,
Rhythms beating drums, gives praise,
Many shall celebrate, feasting,
 In memories tribute,

SHE-TIGER

SHE-TIGER

She-Tiger patiently watches,
 In shadows,
Dark concealing realm,
Green eyes pierce nights,
 Blackening shroud.
Ever weary, seeking motions,
 Movements,
Beware the bush itself seems,
 To come alive,
Beneath moonlights twilight mists,
Heavy foot steps cautiously,
 Tread.
Traveling along a carnalistic path,
Deaths servant stalks it's prey.
Revealing raw natures twisted fate,
In her flashing gaze, ageless,
 Wisdom lies,
This huntress most majestic.
Sleek jungle mistress, fearlessly,
Striding.
Forgotten trails cutting,
 Edges unyielding,
Patrolling vast wilderness.
Drink deeply clear waters purity,
No other creature dares,
 Come near thee.
Forests chameleon, hidden,
Amongst bamboo thickets.
Camouflages golden blends,
 Are parted,
By divisions striped bands.
Feeding legacies future brood.
Crowns glorious jewels,
 Young cubs at play,
Learning life’s lessons to be,
Remembered someday.
Rough dull stones at first,
Finely polished y age,
One day they'll sparkle,
Under sunshine's rays.
Royalties queen, stands tall,
Upon prides rock,
Surveying an evergreen,
 Kingdom.

THE DREAM SWEEPER

I’m freedom’s beckoning call light as air, an elemental being
Set adrift beyond the universal light beam, a speeding
Bullet shifting, suspended by my own spiritual uplifts
Bending in the stratosphere by raw forces
Gravitational pull.
A streaming particle of matter flowing in the
Mystical elemental current of my own existence,
Untethered I’ve cut the silvery threads of the
Timeless, a creature of thoughts abandonment.
A unique butterfly of distinction, flying amongst
The light waves of illusion spreading my wings
Of clarity, touching the stars in gentle graces
Movement.
In flights liberation climbing levels of enchantment,
A swaying anomaly tossed, passed between earth
And sky, a castaways silhouette lingering afloat the
Breeze of sensuality, with the heightened senses
Of pleasure ultimate recklessness, I’m at liberties
Jurisdiction beyond the touch of man.
I’ve joined the flocks of the enlightened ones,
Moths drawn to the dreaming flame, that burns
With fuel of inspirational grace.
Rippling wings transcending, behold the marvel
Of lunar beings, evolving, rising beyond the
Embankment of physical resistance,
Translucent fluttering monarchs brushing
Against the gates of God’s kingdom on high.
Flying insects of humanity, buzzing in a whispering
Chorus ushering in lyrical verses praise,
Announcing the arrival of these ascended.
Reaching through the vaulted grates of heaven,
The lord’s angel reaches out to touch these mortal
Wings of inspiration, and harken to listen, as
The Soft music loaf’s upwards, flooding the floors
Of this golden divide.
At twilights intrinsic hour of contemplation these
Dreaming beings of enlightenment drift as floating
Confetti ever lightly descending, cascading into
Their mortal fleshes vessels beneath, leaving the
Realm behind, but oh what visions of inspiration
Have these butterflies of remembrance relate,
In poetic excellence, cannot be captured
Within the nets of mankind.
I’m freedom’s beckoning call light as air, an elemental being
Set adrift beyond the universal light beam, a speeding
Bullet shifting, suspended by my own spiritual uplifts
Bending in the stratosphere by raw forces
Gravitational pull.

No Fear

There is a place inside my head Where thoughts of other worlds will tread When I awaken from a dream Standing alongside a purple stream With a lime green cast upon the skies And a twinkling glimmer in my eyes Moons and stars that look so queer And a rushing sound within my ears I wonder if I should be afraid To be in a place quite so strange Roots of trees lying all around Whilst comes a rumbling from the ground There beyond the shivering leaves Many eyes staring back at me Out of the shroud of thickened mist On my hand is placed a gentle kiss The nerves of steel begin to fray With a restless feeling akin to dismay As a darkening shadow draws so near And yet still. I feel no fear. Suddenly aware of fields of green The most beautiful place I've ever seen A carpet of turquoise flows through the hills Mine greedy eyes can't get their fill With windows wide open to a soothing breeze Finding it's way through the forest of trees Leaving resonating echoes loud as a train As I felt a tremble inside my brain I hear whispers there upon my ear And yet still. I feel no fear The origin of such a beautiful song Grabbing my hand and pulling me along Oh it's the One who gave me life Father dearest with all your might Giving me the strength to let you go And become a part of the superlative show With a gentle hand once again to dry my eyes While I watch you capture such a glorious prize Deep down I can feel the time is near And yet still. I feel no fear Scattered pieces of a great full life Flash before mine deep inside A heart string is plucked to the tune of love Played by an angel sent from way up above While brilliant rays of light abound There I see you safe and sound Traveling back alone from where I came Crying buckets of tears like pouring rain Recalling the soft whisper you had to say "Be happy my child. We'll meet again one day." Feeling a presence always so near And yet still. I feel no fear

MUSTANGS

MUSTANGS

The ground shudders, and shakes,
 Under pounding hooves.
 Echoing against canyon walls.
Fast and furious wild hearts beat,
Keeping equal pace, with the prairies,
 Wide divide.
From within hell's fiery furnace,
Tempered muscle drives motions sinew.
Behold evolution's die hard breed,
Built for no other purpose except,
Excessive Speed.
Racing along at razors edge,
Accelerating testing endurance's,
Brute strength.
Mustangs roam god's vast expanse,
 Deserts devils burning blazing trails.
Encounters ghostly figures, dwelling amongst,
 Forbidden territories reservations.
Dust clouds shadow creatures alluding,
 Humanities intensive detection.
Harnessing destiny's forgotten beasts,
 Freedom's native horses challenging,
 Limitless domain.
Blackened pitch melting seamlessly,
 Mixing with hewed grays.
 Heaven's canvas erupts.
Storms rage splits lightening’s,
 Aftershock,
 Herding horse flesh towards,
Maximum Resolution.
Divine specters haunting thunders,
boarder lands, slick footed range warriors.
 Traveling hidden roads ancient paths.
Natures raw power hardens brutalities
 Magnificence.
Rival Arabians fight to prove dominates.
One lone stallion stands, dark bristling mane,
 Brushed by evenings cooling breeze.
The leader takes cliffs highest plateau.
As silences experienced guardian,
 He watches cautiously.
Resting at sunsets twilight hour,
 Quenching thirsts, unyielding desires.
Next to waters crystal streams they ease.
Gently relieving tension's strains
 Beside one another.
Comforts unity beneath reflective,
 Moonlight's softness.
Mares and colts whinny in graduates,
 Thanks.
Soon it shall come upon them,
Once more.
Dawn's rays cross horizons palette,
 Under universal skies.

julius caesar

JULIUS CAESAR
When you start reading
You show your feeling
But not in Julius Caesar
Whose chapters dip you in eager
Onto the streets of Rome
Lay a royal home
Caesar's it was
Who was the boss
 He was the king
Bright as a diamond ring
He loved all his mates
who finally decided his fates
Mark Antony , his noblest and loyal friend
Did not leave him till the end
The story started fine
But no answers why it turned as a sorrowful line
On the night ,
Which was not bright
Filled with thunder and lightning
Caesar came shouting
Calpurnia, his lovely wife
Feared his life
She dreamt of bad omens
That spoiled her faith in her husband's Romans
Caesar neglected
That her dream as amiss interpreted
He was a lion
Who punished evil in a line
His famous quote
"Cowards die many times before their deaths ,
The valiant never taste of death but once"
Lies in all our minds
At last he gave up going to the senate house
But the evil Brutus spoiled his thought like a mouse
He took away Caesar to the senators
By telling false rumours
In the senate house, they killed Caesar
His voice grew hoarser
He believed Brutus and shouted ET TU BRUTE [ you too Brutus ]
But Brutus was happy with his killing lute [killing of Caesar ]
Caesar died,
The heavens cried
The happiness of senators did not last long
As they became small before Antony's anger bong
Antony waited for revenge and took Caesar's funeral as a starting point
Brutus, unaware of his mind , gave the joint
His tears flamed up as fire
And also lit Caesar's funeral pyre
Antony takes oath to finish off the unfaithful dogs
And lit the fire of revenge with his speech logs
Antony's speech became world famous
For its opening line
"FRIENDS, ROMANS , COUNTRYMEN "
He succeeded in winning the people's heart
And people came in to help him for a start
Antony also took the help of Octavius Caesar,
Caesar's nephew for a war with their anger
Against Brutus and his mates
At last Brutus and Cassius decided their own fates
They were defeated against Octavius and Antony
And finally, they commit SUICIDE........

BROTHER'S OF THE WIND

Through the whispering pines, down the valley's deep
And wide, do they call unto one another, the brother's
Of the winds.
North chases east to west, as south's warming breath,
Begs to play also, once around the world, over land,
Sea, and mountain tops vast divides.
Tag your it, not I says, the three, as they roll, and duck,
Shifting thus for cover's airy currents, above, below one another.
The east wind is the trickster, mischievous fellow, seeking
Up behind his brethren, than laughing with sheer delights
Gleeful pleasure, until his companion’s kindred, catch up with
Him and pick on him later.
Latitudes unto longitudes, these spiritual pirates,
Of freedoms quest, to remain as liberation's
Outcasts, to conventional reality.
Mother nature's wild children of the untamed,
Swirling divinities whom never rest or settle in
One space, air spirits tasting the everlasting flavor
Of abandonment's desire, beneath their wings of flight.
Soar with destiny's favorite sons, brethren beyond
Human reproach, except unto one another calling,
Come excel with exhilaration's, mischief makers
Extraordinaire.
Ariel acrobats ascending, descending at wills whim,
Concurring the heights currents as invisible eagles,
Than free falling towards the earth beneath.
Gliding dare devils challenging the open air,
Testing the fates of destiny's sails, to imagination’s
Boundaries without fail.
At night fall a whispering voice, she calls unto
Them, mother nature, come my sons, it is time
To finally rest.
Yawning with their blustery breath, these tempestuous
Mischievous lads, float a loaf towards the cave
Of the winds, and dream of the chase to come,
On the marrow's sunrise.
Illusion's dreaming realm tosses aside, it's veiled
Currant unto these ideal God's, whom play with
Raw power's force, using it's strength as if a game at play,
These brother's of the four winds, set adrift within
This realm of imagery.

For One Day

If I had only one day left with you,
I would ask that day be in God's own time,
one day, a lifetime, every moment
an expression of love,
every hour a new adventure.

twenty four hours to slowly pass
with you at my side,
a never-ending dream,
always giving thanks,
one day left with you,

would be eternity.

THE TITANIC

Collisions avalanche, beneath the icy
Waves, of the North Atlantic.
Birthed in the cradled of Belfast,
A maritime giant, became crimsoned,
By champions shattered tradition,
An ironic omen presence to come.
For she bares tragedy’s mark, the name
Given to this colossus, the titanic.
An aquatic diamond gem, of ocean
Liners, refined and polished for the
Privileged elite.
A jewel shinning, with a brilliance fire,
No vessel could rival, this grand ladies,
 Opulence.
The unsinkable legend survives even,
From under the brimey fathoms depths.
In the whispering wind echoes, carried
Just above the foam and sprays watery
Crest, a haunting refrain is spoken,
Ice burg dead ahead.
A sheer ice blade, is driven into the
Hulls breast plate, puncturing the maid
On her maiden voyage.
Death's fiddler plays an eerie tune,
As the screaming chorus sings,
Dooms lullaby, of remorseful regrets,
Of the living dead.
Abandon ship, women and children
First, but life’s greed proceeds protocol,
And man take seats reserved while
Others are simply left empty.
A once shinning star, is broken now
In two, rivaling in pain, she the
Grand lady, shutters, grasping for
Some hold, but fates evil hand
Pulls her beneath the frozen
Angry sea.
To rest at the bottom of titan's
Kingdom, in a crept mausoleum of
Seaweed, and coral debris.
Yet the Titanic still remains the
Diamond jewel of the seven seas,
Her mystery's beauty, a mystic
Inspiring mankind to solve
The questions that remain,
 Unanswered.

THE JOURNAL

In the dusty cobwebs of my inspirational mind,
I’ve written volumes of scripted details, pondered
Epic thoughts, and let mine imagination roam the
Fields of complete abandonment.
A wild child of freedom’s reckless spirit, I’m dived
Head first into the untamed wilderness of the human
Stratosphere, seeking beyond the unknown country
Of the mental unconscious mind, then free fallen into
The waves of insecurity, rescued by mine own self
Sustaining life preserver, called survival.
Line by line I’ve written into my life journal, leaving a
Legacy behind me worth preservation’s finest gilding,
Bound are these pages of mine existence with love,
Tenderness, and freshly cut rose petals, of remembrance.
Reflected in the cover of my life book, are the joyous
Faces of those whom loved me beyond words of
Expressions comprehension, without emotions tears
For they celebrate my life, not with sorrows regrets
But with prides respect and honor.
Through hell’s fire I’ve rambled and traveled, being
Tested by friend and foe alike, but I’ve lifted myself
Beyond the flames of reality, bathing within the warmth
Of a divine faith of loves power everlasting.
I’ve been given the spark of the eternal, it breathes
Within me, it drives my spiritual being, to over come
Ignorance, intolerance and ambience sloth of spirit.
At times I’ve been tempted to dance, against the flame
That flickers in the night, teasing me, taunting me,
To choose wrong or right, but mine feet stood stead
Fast, yielding only in my secret world of dreams escape.
Yes I’ve mused amongst the fantasy realm,
Flying, soaring into the abyss of illusions mirrors,
Clashing as a bird smacking at the glass of reality,
But I’ve awakened wiser, a soldier better prepared
For the battle known as life.
In this journal I bequeath all that is the best of myself,
To those for whom I’ve touched, and in memories moments
Of stilled realization that I’ve gone, dare let no tears blind
Thine vision let no words of sorrow spill from your trembling
Lips just do me the one last favor for which I ask of thee,
Simply look upwards, and smile.

Dr Rams Words Are Better Than Gold

Exquisite the ravel of his comforting quilt
a pondering notion of wisdom is felt
I take a sip of his lovely red wine,
Dr. Rams words are better than gold..........simply divine

susurrus hymns of love at times
or perhaps lissome words in flowing lines
silently I sit as his words come to life,
Dr. Rams words are better than gold...........simply divine

o' the words that linger, perhaps burn inside
his heritage, his love, his grand design
I fall in dream into his domain of time,
Dr. Rams words are better than gold..........simply divine

a song of one soul
a dance for all, profound
a story unraveling with pages alive
Dr. Rams words are better than gold.......... simply divine
