My Micke boys

                To be called ..
            ~ Grandma is a Honor ~

I have been blessed with 4 Grandchildren

~ one lays in Heaven " Kaleb " He is God's Angel ~
~ His twin brother he will always watch over , and be in his soul~

For he loved his Brother so much in the womb ,
he chose Heaven which gave life to his twin
~ I feel his spirit when I see the other Grandson ~

Time passed another gift to see
we are " Mickes" and Loved
Our Dad held the title in Baseball
                   ~ that's how we roll ~
           those children are Grandmas hero's

The Irish they love big and Family is everything
The brothers will protect the beautiful sister
~ as many lads will be calling ~

Every time my Grandson hits a home run
There will be a Angel watching proudly in the stand

It will be as if the Angel lifted him when he runs
~no one runs faster then my Grandson~
either baseball or Art ~ you shall find your gift given

                These children have been blessed~
~ a beauty to hard to describe
If you think not ~~ Take a look at the Mom
                     That girl can stop Traffic
                    after raising three and still~

"Inspired by the gift and loss of Grandchildren "

May our precious " Kaleb " softly rest where Angels only Dwell

Worst Love Poem Ever Written

I suck at dying poems
Chemo poems, Metastatic Cancer poems,
Hair falling out in the shower poems

And I told a half truth
When I told you I could write you one
In less than six months (It's been eight)
I apologize for being so late

I wanted your poem to be pink and graceful
Like those ribbons
I see all over the internet
Filled with cheesy generic rhymes
That read like a Hallmark audition

But already my metaphors are melting
And my similes are getting soft
I guarantee you the rhyme meter will be off

 When I went to Google
And the typed in the word 'happy'
Three billion links came up

Not a single inference to
Breast cancer, hair loss
No redirects to mastectomies
Yahoo wasn't any kinder

The only thing research could teach me
Is that a good day on chemo
Is when your stool doesn't come out tar Black
And has no blood in it

Or when your urine
Smells better on Wednesday
Than it did on Tuesday

Sleeping less than 12 hours
When 24 would be better

America has more poets
Than it does alcoholics
   And Pot smokers combined
And you chose me to be
Your Breast Cancer
Poet Laureate

Trusting me to write a poem
About the biggest battle in your life

So I refuse to finish this poem
Without something bright and hopeful

And don't think
I didn't notice your Facebook activity
Had decreased by 88%
In the last three months

And you aren't really
Coming to any more of my poetry shows
Ever again. Are you??
But we still have March, April
Don't we?

But even if you had one breast
Or no breast

Or if you had less hair than I do
I promise to look only in your eyes
And never ever even notice
Or even think about it

And never for a moment
Would I feel sorry for you

Yes I suck at lying too...

But I don't suck at loving you
Or at hoping you wake up tomorrow morning
 With no Cancer at all
And that The Eiffel Tower will be right outside
Your bedroom window...

And I would be right there with you
Holding your hand while we look down on Paris
And you can impress me with your French again

And if I ever make it
To the Pulitzer Poetry board
I might lose a thousand points
Just for this poem alone

And my hopes for the prize will be smitten
And some old person
With white hair will say
That was the worst love poem ever written

An Epic Battle With A Simple Question

A beautiful heart pines from afar. To parallel freedom, we choose our master. In Love, the Dragon and Unicorn are! Celestial winged heart beats faster, Over mountain and ocean meet polar eyes. To parallel freedom, we choose our master. Embarking from sun brewed and moonshine skies Two alien races, in war, collide. Over mountain and ocean meet polar eyes. All brothers' swords raise, marching with pride. Sisters of heaven let feathers fly. Two alien races, in war, collide. The angered clouds rain blood from the sky. A new path finally found. Sisters of heaven let feathers fly. Brothers' swords low now to the ground. A beautiful heart pines from afar. A new path finally found. In Love, the Dragon and Unicorn are! In universe Out bound energy Where are we when we die?

My Departed Friends

Oh! Those whom I loved and cared that left this world
Enjoying the bliss of heaven when my heart wreaths in pain
Free from anguish and agony and attitudes apathetic and cold
Away from burning sunlight of hatred, ruthlessness and strain

My loving parents and my little sister departed one by one
The infinite mercy of the Creator granted them joy of heaven
For me the luscious trees of love gave way to burning sun
The path of life turned thorn infested, rocky and uneven

The lustful demons of merciless world waiting for me on way
My only weapon, my resolute, indomitable will
With God behind my relentlessness I conquered life in a sway
Lonely nights followed crowded days dreary, dreadful still

Then showered on me God’s sagacious and profound recompense
Through love and compassion my beleaguered soul thrived
On desert of life came the rain-filled clouds of loyalty of friends
Roses bloomed, nightingale sang, life’s elegance revived

But happy days are shorter than the morning dew’s life
You Manzoor, Arif, Marghub,.Nisar, Mehmuda, Ismat, Harry and Jo.
Who were spared the pains of this world of conflicts and strife.
Tranquility of heaven is your destiny, Aftab, Ferreira and Remigio

Your abode has elegant pink shadows and golden sunlight
Fragrant rivers and gardens with flowers of colors unseen
Pebbles of emeralds and rubies present the sight’s delight
Gushing fountains, silvery lakes, hills and valleys ever green

These bounties are rewards of goodness and your virtuous deeds
Your kindness, your compassion, and your illuminated soul
The Creator, most merciful and benevolent gifts beyond one needs
More than lofty aspirations and much beyond your goal.

Happy though I am for you I must still complain
Why you chose to desert me; why you left alone
The leaping flame of loneliness is my destiny again
The path to eternal bliss you took, to me you should have shown

A SECRET NEVER TOLD

I never told my mother the truth
about the autumn night my sister died
The sad secret that churns in my soul
struggling to escape holding my breath hostage

Wakened by a sound puncturing the silence of our sleeping room
Our bedside clock with numbers that flipped every minute
bore a dim glow illuminating the time 12:16
Gentle moonlight drifting through the window
fell on my sister sitting on the side of her matching bed
Her auburn curls tangled and frizzy sea blue eyes glazed with sleep

She coughed into cupped hands
A hard cough racking lungs clenching her chest
I threw back covers dropped bare feet onto a cool wooden floor
headed for our mother’s room
She waved a hand as coughing eased shook her head
Said she was all right didn’t need Mom
Slid back into bed on her side facing me
Snuggled her head into the pillow with one arm curled under
The other arm lying on top of the covers hand curled under her chin
Closed her eyes

Clock numbers flipped to 6:00 am time to get up for school
She still lay in the same position skin now drained of color
Once rosy cheeks paled as if buried in a sudden snowfall
Her hand cold where I grabbed it to shake her awake
Stiff joints locked in place

My screams locked in place
banging against clenched teeth drawn lips
At thirteen I couldn’t imagine what to do with guilt
that descended on me like a sodden wool blanket
It was too heavy to fold and lay aside

Knew I couldn’t survive if Mom knew my secret
That I slept peacefully while my sister her first born child
slipped away beyond our reach
Images flooded my mind of Mom’s soft loving eyes
hardening with hate her comforting touch withdrawn
Some actions cannot beg forgiveness

Mom has gone now to be with my sister
But I am not worried
My big sister always kept our secrets

Remembering The Children of Beslan

It was the first day of the new school year
The children of Beslan had no need to fear
In anticipation they eagerly left home for school
Some walked hand in hand with Mom and Dad
Others skipped along the well known path
Excitement filled the sidewalks and the streets
As fleeting thoughts collided in mid air

Some thought of new friends to be made
Others of old friends with whom to play
A little sister left at home
Of baby brother asleep in his crib
Much too young to run and play
Some favorite lullabies which Grandmama sang
As Grandpapa played his violin

The first day of the new school year
Mothers beamed with such pride
How their little ones had grown
Never would they ever want to let go
Others gave in to their children’s cries
‘Mamma, I do not want to go to school.
May I stay with you today?’

On wings of hate evil had already arrived
With diabolical plans and bombs in hand
To maim and murder the children of Beslan
Who became captives in their little school house
After the dastardly deed was done
Dreams and aspirations lay splattered 'cross the floor
Childhood innocence forever vanished!

On the day of internment the sun in his temple hid
Earth wept pouring rain, her bitter tears
As Mothers’ voices cracked and strained
Cried out loud, their children’s names
While others pleaded in vain for death
Fathers in a state of shock stood stoically in the cold autumn rain
Wearing faces carved in stone

The blood of children cried out to Heaven
Where at the throne of mercy
Sits a God who is just
Though their bodies lay broken in tiny white coffins
On angels' wings their souls did ascend
He will judge all men and their deeds
All, on one appointed day

A tribute to the children of Beslan, No. Ostetia, Russia 9/1-3/ 2004

The Baby Blue Bonnet

The smile on one's face makes them feel glad again
My sister always had a smile to share
Once came time for her birthday,
A handsome boy came to call
And along with him,
A baby blue bonnet that pleased us all.

The smile on her face showed us she was glad
She leaned in a gave a sweet little kiss
Then the Civil War started and he had to go
She would be crying for him.

The bleak war raged on
Many were dead
She was pining for him.

The sheets of casualties came and they left
Many were torn to pieces
My sister dear cried,
"He has died and left me!"
She hugged the dear baby blue bonnet.

The time was bleak when she claimed the body
Sister dear had to wear black
When came the funeral,
She brought with her
The beloved baby blue bonnet

She refused to wear the hideous black hat
"Instead the bonnet!" she cried
For she would remember
The sunny day when,
He gave her the baby blue bonnet.

Remember what I taught you

A dedication to my grandpa,
i love you and miss you,
Your legacy lives on within my heart

The sun can shine
So bright, it makes you blind
Fooling, deceiving.
Very misleading .
The world telling you it's a good day
With just a simple ray.
Penetrating your mind
Telling you to leave all that behind.
So you leave it … Searching for anything to find.
To fill that hole in your heart ...with something kind.
So you go for a stroll in a park
And see a dog with a playful bark.
As you step near
You start to grow in fear
Foam in its mouth
You notice your head dropping south
Chin down
And start to frown.
You realize it's not so sunny anymore
Rain pours
No more birds soar.
Drop to your knees
And freeze
Start to cry.
Then wonder why.
Why do I feel this way?
Looking for answers, you go to the bay.
Watching the storm come in, you hear someone say,
"Remember what I taught you,
You have to be strong.
Find the right
In the wrong.
Everything will be okay.
Some days will rain.
Some days will shine,"
Looking around to see who it may be
You continue to listen to the voice from the sea,
"some days you need to stop everything
And pray.
The Good Lord will take it away.
I've always been your strength
Strong for you and yours sister both."
As you realize who it is
You start to cry, from sadness…
And bliss.
"I know you miss me…
And I miss you too.
No need to cry,
Oh Catelyn, oh me oh my.
But just always know I'm here,
In heaven
watching over you.
If you ever need me.
You know where I'll be.
Watching over you from the clouds.
No need to worry.
Don't stress so much.
Life happens.
It peaks
And it stinks..
Given , I wish I was down there to talk to you.
But it's all in God's plan.
Everything will be for the better.
Now I'm sorry I have to go,
Check on your sister and cousins you know
Whenever your feeling rough
Whenever life gets tough
Remember what I taught you.
Rain may continue
Life will happen in different Venues
But go dance in the rain
Let go of the pain.
Enjoy the life God granted you
…it won't last forever.
Don't plan out the future
God has his plan
Live his will out
Not yours
Remember your still a kid,
So smile and I love you Catie did"
Tears rushing down your face
Tears of joy or sorrow
You don't really know.
Remembering what your grandfather taught you,
With his strength You stand up
Something in your chest starts to bump
Your heart, it's whole
Alive
Beating once again.
Pain is gone
And you live on.
Dancing in the rain
With only life to gain.

holokauston Page 1 of 2

Around that table, picture the scene
Self appointed leaders if you know what I mean
What were the topics on the Agenda that day
The Jewish race is about to pay

Who gave the right for this decision that's made
Who has the right to cleanse and degrade
To decide who lived, to decide who dies
Another chapter, I still wonder why

They came in the day they came in the night
Women and children pulled out of sight
Herded aboard like cattle and sheep
Many a family awoke from their sleep

Dazed and confused as they are taken away
Where will they be at the end of the day
From their warm houses and their warm beds
What must be going through their heads

As they travel through days and through the night
Up ahead, they see lots of lights
They depart the trucks and board the train
Their faces scared under the strain

Asking questions from family and others
Generations, sisters and brothers
Why are we here, where are we going
Windowless carriages with no way of knowing

We come to a stop, soldiers aplenty
Towers and wire, topped with sentries
What can this place be they have taken us to
As we head to large gates as they shuffle us through

Families separated, herded in file
Women and children, not one did smile
Taken to rooms where our heads were shaved
Is this the way humans behaved

Clothes discarded, as we enter the shower
No signs of water no signs of power
Doors slammed as we are all crammed in
History will recall this evil of sins

As we stand in the dark, chanting Jewish faith
Can hear the voices can't see the face
Noises above, do the showers start
The event has begun that tells us Humans apart

Questions and sighs, as walled vents show daylight
Some thing is falling then their slammed tight
A strange aroma starts to fill the air
As all around are screams of despair

Twenty minutes have passed and the quietness is rife
Two thousand people, two thousand lives
Pellets called HCN, or Hydrogen Cyanide
Contribute to this Genocide

holokauston Page 2 of 2

After the quiet we all have to go
Dragged and carted by the Sonderkommando
To be dumped in pits covered by lime
A race to dispose by it's Human slime

Auschwitz, Buchenwald & Dachau slaughtered
Many a son, many a daughter
Experiments on children women and men
Some aged 90, many under 10

In 45, their end was near, how many alive would reappear
As Russians, British and US troops
Chased the Hun to their German roots
Each camp reached showed it's sordid past
Where millions of me, were massively gassed

In Auschwitz, to this present day
Birds don't fly, no animals play
The reminder is all for there to see
Those terrible days what happened to me

It's 1948, our Nation is born
From histories past, populations torn
To all who survived I wish you well
And our new born world, called Israel

Just Reach

just reach your hand out to the sky
pull your loved ones back to your side

lets get to say one more goodbye
for we never wanted them to go away and die

as now the days and nights lay
in such sweet disguise

so let us once again our lord
stare into their illumating eyes

as we reach out for them
in your broad horizon sky

and get to hold and kiss them
even if their not by our sides

for if this is however feels when we die
then I'd like to be that angel in that sky

so I can just reach out right back
and wipe their tears too from their eyes

We Lost More Than a Dad

We lost more than just a Dad that day
We lost half of how we came to be
We lost we four girls first love
We lost our Best Friend

We lost more than just a Dad that day
Our Mom lost her Soul Mate, Her other half
Our children lost their Papaw
We lost our family’s foundation
We lost the glue that held us together

We lost more than just a Dad that day
We lost the Strongest man we ever knew
We lost the man we looked up too
We lost we four girls Teacher of many things

We lost more than just a Dad that day
We four girls lost our Hero
We lost some of our Light
We lost part of our Heart
We lost part of our Soul

We lost more than just a Dad that day
We lost some of our Courage
We lost some of our Strength
We lost some of our will to fight back
We lost some of our will to carry on
We four girls lost more than a Dad
We lost more than just a Dad that day

Don't Cry

Please don't cry over my casket
For I am not there
Please don't cry at my grave
My soul has been set free
I know it's hard not to cry
I've been down that road one to many times

I have no more pain
I have no more sickness
And I would not change a thing
As I walk threw the gates of Heaven
Mom Dad our brothers and sisters
Will welcome me with open arms
Here I am free of that pain

Don't blame yourself
It was my time to go home
This is where I'm supposed to be
Don't dwell on things which you can not change
I will always be in your heart

I will always be watching over you
When that day comes for you to come home
I will be there to welcome you
With open arms
And walk you threw the gates of Heaven
You will be greeted by our family & friends
Who came home before you
Until that day I will be watching over you

I'm Going Home

,

Lord thank you for this life,
As I have lived a full life,
It was not always as I would have like,
But I lived it to the best of what I could,
I’m going home; Home to the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
I have been a long weary believer,
As I’ve been away to long,
I now know what I’ve been searching for,
As He's been there in me all along,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
I have been and seen lots of places in life’s journey,
Now I yearn for familiar faces in familiar places,
I hear familiar voices calling me to come home,
I see familiar faces looking at me,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me,
My time is near, the hour I know not,
I see Jesus' face across the Heaven’s,
I hear His soft sweet voice calling me home,
I can’t wait for my real life to begin,
I’m going home; Home is the place I want to be,
I’m going home to Jesus where He waits for me.

From Toil to Rest

From toil to rest you heard the call
Farewell to changing weather
The clock lies broken; forever stalled
Now you roam in fields of heather

My Dad

My Dad was Chicagoan.
He would light up a room just like my Mom.
He loved to fish ! He loved his beer .
He also designed a Octagon home in the 70's
Built custom by hand . I was very proud of Dad .

Alcohol hit our Family , a curse .
He left my Mom when I was 14 in Illinois.
To renew in California , leaving a trail of tears .
Meeting my step mom , my sisters age .
My 2 sisters they were accepted in her world .

Not I , I looked too much Like Mom . Told this all my Life .
She a petite Beauty , RN , real estate Broker .
I did not see why it was wrong to be like mom ?

I moved in with Dad, His new Wife , and 2 sisters
eventually . All three women were competing for my Father .
I was kicked out at 16 yrs.

Years do pass , you try and accept people places and things .
At the end of Dads life , he was calling me once a week .
I ordered a Engraved Clock for the Fathers day coming.
This was a issue for the Wife and sisters , never invited to his new home , 2 Decades ~My little Brother & I , never wanted .

Dad passed suddenly one sad Spring Day . Not one word from his wife , all 3rd party, how and when, Dad Died . being denied the right to his address , even to say goodbye .
Not being able to send my engraved clock .

"Dad Passed " received call from sister whom just stayed a week with me , I took her all around the sites here . "1st day I get call , you should come , 2nd Day after , Dad's been cremated already . " It was a lie.

I went anyway , finding the funeral home, the Funeral Director was appalled at the denial displayed.

He insisted I was given 10 minutes alone with Dad , my Birthright to say Goodbye , he was in dismay over the Hostility towards a daughter ~

I get to this room of mean relative's. His sisters , Mine, angry looks , hearing from a Aunt "What is she doing Here ! " I can't give nor reason or rhyme.

Shame to you and all that participated that wicked day.
Are you Glorified with Power? Denied the right to grieve ,

Left with no sane answers to give in hatred received by Blood . Some , just Spouses , telling me I had no right to Say Goodbye to my own Father , My DAD .

My Dad wanted me there , I know he did . I love Him and will never forget , his youngest girl whom looked like Mom . I know in my heart and dreams he speaks.
We all see when we leave . May God not allow any Son or Daughter to go through such Evil.

Thank-you Poetry Soup for returning my voice .

FAREWELL, CATHERINE

On Sunday March thirty two thousand fourteen, my sister
lost her grim battle to cancer, she was much younger than I;
nobody would believe that she fervently prayed while waiting to die...
who gave such strength to endure pain, if not her faith of believer?
I stood by her touching her forehead to offer some consolation...
she tried to smile, but was overcome by pangs of desperation.

If horrid fate had cut abruptly her life, prayers provided endless comfort;
and accepting death as a relief from suffering, she cherished that thought!

Farewell, Catherine...even the March gloomy sky cries
to express its ample sympathy for someone with moribund eyes!
A treasure you have left: gems that gleam as the eternal stars,
and each one of them reflects the gentle smile of your shining grace
that everyone saw when you opened those warm arms...
and by loving everyone, you taught us the meaning of an embrace!

Farewell, Catherine...find joy in that celestial place above the earth's sphere,
there happiness is heard through songs that praise glorious love, not fear!

We'll remember those delightful moments you shared with us...
when joy shone on a face that did not know the bitterness
of tears! Yes, they are imprinted on these weeping hearts
as the words of Virgil who commemorated the brave souls
that accomplished great things never forgotten by fleeing time...
isn't your story of indomitable courage for us to read and admire?

Dear little sister from another mister

You’ve been thrown left and right,
Crying to yourself every night,
Thinking all has gone wrong,
& you won’t be giving up after long..
You’ve been heartbroken
One
Two many times:
From old boyfriends,
To lies;
Father walked out,
Baby killed by mistake;
Your mom has disowned you,
But she still shows you lust…
Everybody knows the truth,
The pain that you do not choose;
They see what you show,
But see me…
I, T’Keyah Wilder,
I already know…
You’ve raped and thrown from left to right;
Crying to yourself every night;
Everybody saying they understand,
But you know you’re the only
One who knows your pain ;
On this land…
It’s a matter of time,
Before you kill yourself,
Stressing yourself,
Hurting you and everyone else;
Blaming yourself for,
Mistakes not purposely made;
Crying every time you feel like you just got
Laid,
You want the true love,
Love shown from the heart;
Honestly,
Coming from your big sister;
I think you need a fresh start,
Easing your pain with nicotine;
I’m surprised you’re not
Sippin lean…
I know it may be hard,
To forget about the past,
But there’s one thing;
I must ask from you and I
Want this to last;
Promise me, you’ll try your best
To stress less,
& pray more…
Listen to God;
Put him above…
All;
We’re not close like we used to be,
But you know I’m just a phone call,
Away…
Not far from you..
But I wish you’d realize,
This too…
Stressing is not working,
Cause death, the devil, lies,
& fear are lurking..
Promise me;
You’ll try to be the best you can be…

Forever Changed

June 18, 2013 our world was Forever Changed
We where over halfway home
When we got the call from our baby sister

Said we need to get back home
We need to come as fast as we can drive
Mom really needs us
Something’s wrong with Daddy
The whole way we drove 80
Hoping & Praying we’d make it in time

Our Family & Friends were weeping
By the time we got to his side
We knew our Daddy had been taking
And our hearts they were breaking
We never got to say Goodbye
We each softly kissed that man
We four sisters climbed in his bed
We laid down beside him
And cried just like babies
For our world was Forever Changed

GROUND ZERO

GROUND ZERO Today as I stand here, With your name engraved not just on stone But in the hearts of millions who thank you For not letting them cry, I feel proud that it was you… We wish you were here, There’s not a day we don’t think of you. There’s not a minute we don’t miss you. But we’re glad you ran into death So that a thousand others could walk into life. It was not your duty, You weren’t meant to be there, But you took it up, Did what you had to do As a citizen of the global world. The little ones will never know What a wonderful person you were. But they’ll always know that You were a hero… How you died for the greater good… Tears, grief, pride, longing - a blend of everything. Its been ten years, ten long years But the memory’s still fresh and cutting. It still hurts to know That you could be here had you stayed back. But you didn’t and that’s made you a hero. You ran straight into it While a thousand others were running away. Your death is history…. Millions died with you But you stand out ‘coz you made your choice. As I stand here, I know that a decade ago, today You were here somewhere, Running into a cloud of dust and ashes Searching for the smallest sign of movement To bring them back to life. Somewhere between the despair and hope You forgot to breathe… I pray every day that History would rewind itself Back to that fateful September morning, Not because I want to hold you back… But because I want to come with you… It would have made a difference. I know it would have… I know you’re with me In my dreams, in my daily life Laughing at my blunders, Guiding me through hardships. My guardian angel… On this September morning, Not exactly the same as before, Here I am telling the world That my twin brother died Saving the victims of 9/11.

Viking Death Prayer

With raised sword and shield,
The Norseman yells to Odin
The Viking Death Prayer*

 *  The Viking Death Prayer

Lo, there do I see my father.
Lo, there do I see my mother,
My sisters and my brothers.
Lo, there do I see the line of my people,
Back to the beginning.
Lo, they do call to me,
They bid me take my place among them
In the Halls of Valhalla,
Where the brave shall live forever,
Where thine enemies have been vanquished,
Nor shall we mourn but rejoice,
For those who have died
The glorious death.

Funeral

His family pretended not to cry
But both his sisters had no heart to spare;
They said they loved him, yet it was a lie.

The blazing sun one summer day drew nigh;
Its orange radiance it could not share.
His family pretended not to cry.

There was a man in hell beneath that sky--
Discerning now that care, like warmth, was rare.
They said they loved him, yet it was a lie.

All that his soul could utter was a sigh;
The shattered saints in Heaven said Lord's Prayer.
His family pretended not to cry.

Like sunlight, his disease bore down to dry
Emotions spent without concern or care.
They said they loved him, yet it was a lie.

Upon the desert ground he lay to die--
Addiction was much more than he could bear.
His family pretended not to cry;
They said they loved him, yet it was a lie.

Fireflies

The surrounding night
wraps itself around my sleeping senses,
and awakens them.

Sitting on the edge of the bed,
I stare out the window
into the deep velvety darkness.

In the other room my sister sleeps —
Sleeping the sleep of a soul
preparing for life after death.

I notice a small glow out back by the trees,
then another, flashing on and off.
Fireflies!

I watch their waltz in the night,
against the dark trees, by the garden,
making a halo around the house.

My sister’s light
still shines.

And finally I sleep.

To My Sister

I feel your presence everywhere I go
You know how much I miss you and how I love you so
I try very hard not to be sad
That's when I try to think of all the good times we had
You'll always be with me every single day
But Oh! How much I miss you since you went away.

Late Night New

Sitting in a chair and watching a movie I get a phone call,
She's dead, my little sister tells me, and I drop the ball.
you are really gone, I can't believe how this can happen,
You didn't have to go, I wish I could of dropped in.

Hearing and seeing all the tears that are being poured out for you is very sad,
This day will be remembered in yours and you two little angels forever and that's not bad.
Not being able to see you any more will be hard but ill think of something to occupy my self,
But till than tho, shine bright for our God and save me a crown a big shelf.

Dedication to: Alina Bukhanstova and her two little angels.

PS: R.I.P, you will be missed.

Witnesses To Sinners

I can't hear the words as they come from my mouth
I can't hear the screams as they work their way out
As I write all is seen is a blur and blank moment and
Once recovered sensed the words were written, not
Even a look to see what was written only to know it
Was there.Sleepless night, taunt filled faces horde my
Dreams.Have this made me fall so low no longer am I
Am I able to stand on my own to feet. How many times
Will you make me cry before claiming only to being a
Witness in a crime, your crime. Putting on that face
Working the crowds with amazing easily, how I hate you
Yes all the thing I think about revolve around you.
How many times have I witness myself wound my self
With your blade? As though under a spell doing as order
Without a cry to the world what made me so diligent ?
But no longer can you be a witness,No longer can I be
A witness to these crimes that been committed.Be us both
Sinners be us both lovers be that we both be cursed
We shall witness our sins become whole and the love in
Which we share spread further and further like the flames
Of hades. May there be peace for sinners in the next world.
We are both witnesses and at the same time
We are both sinners one day to become consumed by our
Own darkness how far will we fall until that moment comes?
May we be good may we be bad may we fall may we live may
May we die or carry on we are the Witnesses We are the Sinners
To this world and the next.

This is the TRUE Story of Six Sisters Part 3 The Guestbook

The Guestbook
I signed the guestbook, hoping that _____, Jenny’s mom would get my message and get in
contact with me. In the mean time, every person who signed it, I got updates about.
Then, one Saturday, I got this e-mail saying someone had signed the guest book, so right
away, I read it. It was someone named ________, from Ohio…and that she was Jenny’s
biological sister, and she left a phone number. Now…I know this name…because my birth
father’s mother had told me that name when I met her in January. So, I nervously picked up
the telephone and dialed the number. Thank goodness the machine picked up, LOL…I said
hello, my name is Melissa Powell, I am in Indiana. Jenny was my biological sister, by the
same birth father, and I think that you and I may be sisters too. Give me a call when you
can. Two hours later…the phone rang…it was ______…confirming we were indeed sisters!
Then she dropped a bomb on me…I had another sister _____! Wow…I lost one sister 2
weeks ago…and today, I find out I have two more sisters! What a blessing! So in the mean
time, ____, _____ and I are getting to know each other, and our families. So we get to
talking about possibly looking for other siblings because out birth grandmother has told us
there are indeed more of us out there. So we look on Facebook with the names. ________ I
wrote to about 20 _______ Even though when I saw her picture when I wrote her…I knew
she was my sister…we could be identical twins! So a few weeks go by…then on April 3, I get
home from Good Friday Church services and there is a e-mail from ______…Call me, I found
_______… Not only did we find _______…we found _____!

So with the tragic death of our beautiful sister Jenny…it brought all of all us together!
Now we have the rest of our lives to be sisters and get to know one another. God works in
mysterious ways, and we all believe that he brought us together using Jenny as our northern
star. And there are even more of us out there! Current count…Six girls and we are told we
may even have some brothers somewhere!

What People Were and What People Are

People were
Many things.
Strange or not

People were
Different and
Odd and fun.

People were
Monsters but…
That’s not all

People were
And still are
Strange and odd.

People are
People. For
life is life.

Yet not.
Not is lies.
Truth seeps from

Every mouth
Lies, lies, lies
Move, move, move

But somehow
Lies prevail.
Lies are life.

Lies are death.
Lies are homes.
Lies are pain.

Lies are truth.
Yet somehow.
Truth prevails.

Truth is life.
Truth is death.
Truth is home.

Truth is pain.
Truth is lie.
Truth is that.

Lies will die.
Lies will cease.
Nevermore.

Truth will live.
Truth will be.
Forever.

Child of Love

Alive in hearts you served so well
Far b’yond the call; b’yond oceans’ swell
Come rain or shine you were always there
For family, friends and strangers cared

Child of love; reflecting pool
Mirror of your parents; God’s building tool
Foundation most solid, you withstood the gales
And mocking waves, arose, only to fail

You heard His call; you ran the race
Bathe in joy exquisite as you see his face!
God of Salvation, God of love
Who called you to Himself; your home above

Forever, you’ll be to your family left behind
Flesh of our flesh and of God’s Spirit, divine

The Years To Long From Before

The Years To Long From Before

How the years go by from the time your just learning to walk till the time you walk out of your parents house. There are time when you ask "Where did all the time go?"
Life is a dangerous games filled with birth life and death. If I could rewrite thing I think i would danger everything with only one note.Life isn't fair life is to short life is twist and turns and around again, one day we all will be faced with your death beds our coffin and then the dirt over us.I wish i could fall until I fall there no pain in falling there no worry in following there is no death in falling, can you ever relive falling until you fall to hard that you hit the ground that you fall broken? How do I steal your emotions so you can't ever worry again? Should I try harder to make you realize that the trust you put into me won't cause you grief won't cause you to leave me in a black box? There is this ever lasting light this perfect time to tell you that time before you grow up trust in me.Dear child dear sweet one what have I lost you to? you was young once bright you made my day full of joy and full of worry I can't believe that now I can't do but worry but then the way you stride yourself make proud. How many years gone by from your first words now look your to old for you to ask me to help.

This i dedicated to my mom,my younger brother and sister who even to day have stop needing the big sister and to my mom who know this feeling all to much,I love you guys so much

The Apple PASTURE

DONE

                             The Apple PASTURE

Oh how I long
To drift into the apple pasture.
Were once was and all well meet.
A pure and dear site.
Where silver reflection cover the still waters that holds the golden
grains of martilty and the grazing souls lie young amounce no stars.
Oh how I long
To drift into the apple pasture
Were wins smells of melon and the trees whisper spring corals in the mellow dark and best of light and time creeps into no tomorrow.

Sister: A Lament

For Maxine

Sister, was there forgiveness for she who bore you?
For us, your siblings and sometime charges?
For all who would not help, but hastened your demise?
The marble coldness of your corpse,
to my touch, is like an electric shock.
The limbs, the torso, with sudden strangeness,
now bear you slight resemblance.
You feared all pain, but died without complaint.
Who can fathom what you felt?
Was there a last, sharp stab?
A welcome to oblivion?
Or even an awareness of your loss?
Or was death no more spectacular
than a tire deflating, slowly,
quietly, unrecognized?
And was that the shame of it?
That your life ended, so early,
so silently, and death
was no extravaganza?

She was my sister my once valiant hero

She was my sister, so pretty so strong
She made me feel as though I belonged
She sang to me of angels and god
She came to me whenever I called
But then one day an evil overtook
My loving sister I found as she shook
I found her one day on her bedroom floor
A bottle of pills and needles unsure
With tears in her eyes she told me one thing
That I was her hero
She asked me to sing
The song that I sung was of angels and god
But this one last time it was me that she called
And with one last hard breath
She breathed no more
And she died right there on her bed room floor
I started to scream I stood just to fall
My mother came running and was shocked at what she saw
She picked up the phone and called 911
With tears in her eyes she told what she saw
Only minutes later we heard the sirens near
The doctors rushed in announced she was dead
And silently took my hero to her bed
My sister the angel still helps me along
She sings to me of angels and god
And she answers me now whenever I call
She was my sister my once valiant hero
She is my sister, who’s now with god.

The Fire Glows

Before the fog, when music rang
The house was warm; their love abide.
Sweet children to good parents sang.
While standing safely by their side,
The fire glowed and music rang.
Protecting strong from dark outside.
The cherubs watched until the tomb.
When orphans life took flight to doom.

Their mother’s harp made magic sounds,
Like angels dancing on the wind –
The little ones to fear were bound.
What fate for orphans would transcend?
The streets were cold; no warmth was found.
Two broken spirits hope would mend.
There perfect virtue white as snow.
Abyss of darkness let love flow.

An icy sidewalk cold and bleak,
Two children stood with freezing feet.
A night of refuge they must seek.
Too soon, the sun finds its retreat.
Where, strangers walked; sisters were meek.
How loudly those young hearts did beat.
Then, came the angel, golden hair.
The guardian took them to his lair.

YOU NOW BELONG TO HEAVEN

I was waiting for you
With an open arms
Your arrivals was such a happiness
That I was longing for
You left this world
Before you even seen it
This was the deepest sorrow
I ever had
It really tear me apart
I had so many dreams for you
That just gone with the wind
Without achieving anything
The bible says...
...never ask the Lord why
But, everything that happens
Happen for a reason
I never get the chance
To tell you that I Love you
Neither to hold in my arms
I never had the chance
To prove to you
That I am your protector
Your role model
A shoulder for you to cry on
Someone that you can rely on
I was so happy to receive
A new born in our family
But the day that I welcome you
Was that same day that I say...
...goodbye, farewell to you forever
You now belong to heaven
May your soul rest in peace
You will always be love and missed sadly
May the Good Lord
Bless and keep you always

I wrote this poem for my little sister who died during birth.

A Stone

Loss (2/11/2014)

It is a stone that cannot be lifted
Planted into the earth of the soul.

Buried under the cat that he drove over
Pressing it into the ground in the ridges of the tractor tire.
And the jungle gym of his arm that I swung under
Long hair, laughing.
And tongue sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs, an old apple
Brought in a brown bag to the field at noon.
Shouts and a broken plate, his fist to my face.
And his hands under his head folded in worry.
The girl he loved was getting away.
A single red rose in a small crystal vase
on her concrete steps.
Talking on the green couch downstairs of the past
Of the future.
And the letters from San Francisco,
The letters from Carolina,
The letters from Japan,
Begging for baked goods and promises not to enlist.
The launch off the rope swing into the Missouri,
Profanities screamed over the current into the bright sky.
The stick to Harley’s leg for one more day.
Sneaking out my bedroom window
Drinking a bottle of rum in the tent in the front yard
In a marijuana haze.
My white dress, dancing, his blue and gold uniform,
My manicured nails in his hands and his head over my shoulder
Tears on my back.
And the new girl who wore her own white dress.
And his eyes reflected in his sons
Tiny pieces of him in his arms.
His voice so gentle, so close to them.
Jumping and screaming, laughing bedtimes,
Children being thrown upside down
Tickles and goodnights in the nightlight
The darkness in the windows waiting.
Cold beers on the front porch,
The hum of the crickets call
To the moon.

Dirt on a stone,
Dirt on a stone.

Young Cronus

YOUNG CRONUS	(5.7.09)

My father decided he wanted his children
buried, and left for dead.
But my mother, Gaea, both fair and true,
spared her children instead.
So I met with my selfish father,
where, by Gaea, we both were led,
and, holding the sickle she gave me,
this is what I said:

"Hello, dearest father.
I'm glad that you came. After years without you,
I know how you feel about us.
I just hope you know: We feel the same about you."

"But we are not here to argue.
I came here to say good bye."
He knew farewells were in order,
but he did not yet, know why.
I explained our situation,
as my siblings stood idly by,
saying, "If you don't want to have children,
you cannot be swayed, so I won't even try.
But its too late to go back now.
You cannot erase my family and I.
So that leaves us only one option,
and that's why I'm saying goodbye."

"Goodbye, worthless father.
I'm glad that you came. Now pay what is due.
We know how you feel about us,
and now you know how we feel about you."

He regretted the seeds he had sewn,
so, in charity, I reaped his remorse.
I swung my sickle pure and precise,
with such fervent and furious force;
His blood was late to react to the wound,
and that which was lost by means of divorce,
found it's new home in the deep, dark, blue ocean-
unable to ever return to it's source.

Together with most of my brothers and sisters,
there seemed to be no better fit
	than to send him away, as he would have sent us;
	to the bottomless Tartarus pit.

"Goodbye, worthless father.
I'm glad that you came, and you paid what was due.
We knew how you felt about all of us,
so we showed you just how we all feel about you."

"Farewell forever, father.
I'm glad that you're gone, and I'll never atone.
Know that your fear was what you created,
as I take my seat in what once was your throne."

My Life Story - Part 1 - The Early Years

Well I was born a bouncin' baby boy,

On June 23rd in Danville Illinois. ( Ill-i-noy - the s is silent)

My mom will never forget that special date,

Back in the year of '68.

Another birth in September of '70,

Ending in heart-wrenching tragedy.

My sister would've been my friend and pal,

But she didn't make it through the birth canal.

I would've been her big brother just two years older,

Mom was heart broken - didn't get to hold her.

Trying to write this is making me cry,

I can't stop thinking "Why God? Why?

Why did you take this bundle of love?

Did you need another angel above?

Well something good happened in August '72,

My mom married the only dad I ever knew.

I may not be of his own flesh and blood,

But he still called me "Son" and "Bud".

My dad adopted me and gave me the family name.

He treated us all one and the same.

- Love you mom ! -

- In loving memory of my sister (08/25/1970) also

- In loving memory of my dad (07/08/1947 - 01/16/2005)

I started this poem with the intentions of making it part of a

My Life Story collection of poetry. I'm not sure if I will continue

on with this intention or not. Should I decide to continue on with

My Life Story, the next stage will be concerning my childhood - and

the problems I went through as a young child.

Precious Moments

The splash of her teardrop upon his cheek kisses of a mother frail and weak. His sobbing little sister leans in to say goodbye why did you leave us, your to young to die. A stepfather holds back the floods of grief My son I will miss you our time was so brief. He guards his emotions to stay strong for his wife secretly he hides to cry over the loss of this young life. Shadows of yesterday haunt their heavy minds They turn off the lights and close the blinds. Silence fills the room as two parents embrace sitting where their son passed now just empty space. Numbed by shock they sat and starred accepting reality they both found themselves scared. Yesterday ravaged, tomorrow was full of sorrow Today each step we take helps heal us for tomorrow. This is not an easy path for death has left it's mark for now our vision still seems so very dark. But after we weep we will rise once more rising from the ashes, pushing away from deaths door. There is a grand design we have yet to see One, only our son could fulfill you see. When the storm passes we will see God's reason we survivors find healing through the grieving season. Ashes to Ashes

From ashes
she rises,
absolving
cleansing,
face, hands, feet.
Four months,
Ten days,
She mourns.
She weeps.

She clothes herself now
in an adornment of white
bowing privately,
praying fervently,
as bitter fumes
of acetone
seep beneath the door.

Her source is god.
Her destination is god.
She pleads with god now
for peace
As men mix and pour
A holocaust
Just outside her door.

Her sisters wail.
They bathe her lifeless arms
And shroud her
as Iris Albicans-
Exotic,
Fragile,
Pure.

The imam, he stands,
Praying silently
As men convey her
towards Mecca.
From ashes to ashes
And dust to dust.
From ashes to ashes
And dust to dust.

Emotional Outbreak

A frustration that can cannot be abated,
Knives flashing in the blindingly brilliant Sunshine.
Blood drops spattered across the delicate petals
of white roses clutched in a child's small fist.
horror lances through her body it reacts before her mind does,
all the years of self control suddenly break away,
a woman sits only in a peaceful garden,
not at peace, but thoughts whirling like a deep
malovolent tornado,
as she thinks about the lonely years,
of that little girl that lurks beneath the
surface wanting ,needing, and waiting for
a god to be able to reunite her with now,
her mother, sister, and older loving overprotective brother.

The loss of my sister

When you lose a sister there are no words to describe,
The emptiness and pain your heart holds inside.

Your best friends gone in the blink of an eye,
Without any warning she has just died.

Remembering the past as the years drift through,
It seems they would get easier, but they never do.

The only thing that will really keep you sane,
Is knowing in heaven you'll see her sweet face again.

Death's Door

Death is a time where people will never breathe
We can’t talk or walk and even squawk about our lives that we lead

What do you suppose is behind deaths door?
I’m just wondering, because eventually is going to come to us all
Should we be scare? Or fight for it, not to happen? Or just let it be?
Has anyone thought about Death, like me?

Death has come for two people I had a chance to know on, 02/02/12;
however, this was a week ago.
Do you think they knew?

Some people may not know, when it’s time for them to go,
therefore; we should ask JESUS CHIRST to come into our lives
and be prepared for that day

So, when death wants to knock on our door
We can open it up and say I’m ready, let’s go,
and see that place called Heaven’s Tour

Hamba Kahle Anene Booysen! (1996 – 2013)

Dead at 17, brutally raped and left to die,
in the dirt,

at a construction site in Bredasdorp.

‘horrific’, ‘repulsed’,
‘brutally raped’, ‘shocked’,

do these words mean anything,
to anyone,

anymore.

Not to Anene Booysen,

murdered at 17, brutally raped and left to die,

in the dirt,

at a construction site in Bredasdorp.

Anene was raped,
savagely mutilated,

Her 17 year old body tossed aside,

by the hands of men.

Men, always men,

cowardly, beastly, perverted, twisted men.

‘Beastly’, ‘perverted’, ‘twisted’,

do these words mean anything,
to anyone,

anymore.

Not to Anene Booysen,

who now lies cold and dead.

How many Anene Booysens will it take,

for us,
society,
families,
people,

human-beings,

and,

men, especially men,

to excise the ghastly menace,

of the heinous capacity that resides,

within men,

always men,

to brutalise, rape, mutilate, and murder.

‘Brutalise’, ‘murder’, ‘rape’,

do these words mean anything,

Not to Anene Booysen,

murdered at 17, brutally raped and left,

       but
         she don't know why...

grown folk sadness
         ripping inside her

       All she's known about lovin's
               in the coffin beside her

Why Should We Live?

Why should we live if we have
nothing to live for?
Why should we live if we have
nothing to die for?
Why should we live if
no one cares?
Why should we live if you're
loved by no one?
Why should we live if no
one likes you?
Why should we live if
no one loves you?

Each day is just a day
Each day is a day closer to death.
What's the point of living?
Some may say none,
Others may say why.
Why should we live?
Tell me and I will think about your answer.

The Deadly Dart

Wherever I go through out my whole life,
I end up struggling with lots of strife.
Thinking that my life is a total waste,
Wanting it to be over in a haste.

I can feel the pain inside my own heart,
Like someone through at my a deadly dart.
The wound is easing deeper and deeper,
Will the pain ever stop getting bigger?

Feeling emo is never a good thing,
Cutting your arm makes a really bad sting.
Blood is dripping from my arms and my heart,
Failing to dodge the largest deadly dart.

Drowning in all the lies and self pity,
I live each day but always feel sh*tty.
I have lots of thoughts about suicide,
But then I think about those who have died.

Those who have died not just from suicide,
But also those who are really nice guys.
...
...
...
...This "poem" was actually suppose to be a couplet (on any thing you want) for my english
class but i made this kind bcuz i was feeling emo that day...and also after i was done i read it
over and it almost sound like a rap song which, i guess, is kinda funny and cool.........

Mary Frances McElroy You will be missed

Remembering the laughable times we shared,
Seeing that guilty look that you always gave,
When we laughed and got caught,
You will be missed,

Being the lovable and caring person that you are,
funny but also serious,
You will be missed,

You were Strong and wise,
Loved to cook and feed everyone,
but most of all for being loving,
Grandma you will be missed,

Embracing us with your warm hugs when we were down,
Guiding us with your footsteps after you followed Jesus' footsteps,
You will be missed,

Seeing the hurt and pain in our eyes caused by plenty,
You gave us encouraging words to get us through,
And for that,
You will dearly be missed,

Knowing you will be beside us,
To let us know what's right & wrong,
You will be missed,

Grandma in the midst of it all,
I will miss you soo much,
I wrote this poem just for you,
hope you can hear me!!
I love you and miss you!!

Dream

Feburary 27th 2012 i lost the most important person in my life. Helen

I was at a goodwill, when i prayed to her that i would find a metallica shirt. I was then looking through the shirts and found two metallica shirts. I got them both. i started wondering if it was her, if she answered my prayer. A few days later i had a dream. She was standing in the window yelling down at me telling me she bought me something and it was on her bed in a bag. i told her how much i missed her and i went to go see what it was. i open the bag on the bed and see the two metallica shirts i had bought at that goodwill. i now know that she answered my prayer.

Another dream i had.

I had often wondered if she considered me a grandchild.. because im not realted to her by blood. I had a dream it was at her funeral. i seen her sitting in a chair next to me. my sister and some of her grandchildren were carrying her casket to the hurse. My sister fell and dropped the casket and several of her family members were yelling at her. Helen the women who these dreams are about sat and said she loved all her grandchildren even if there not blood related.

I believe Helen answers my questions in my dreams.

American Heart

America resides within the heart of all Who believe in freedom, choice, voice and opportunity Deny, not, the display of pride within yourself Or else you’d deny pride in this land of the free America, more than land, it’s home to you and me Some dare tread, take arms against and try to squash All that America ever stood for, which is evident to all They fear the freedom, strength and all that’s offered As they know, against us, they would never stand tall And for all their attempts, America makes them fall This 9-11, let us not focus on terrorist actions But, on those Americans lost, that still live in our hearts Remember and honor them by living the American dream Exhibiting the ideals and always doing our part Showing all, America has muscle but lives through its heart

Jennifer Ann

I know you had a hard life
But know you were never alone
If I had found you sooner
My sisterly love I would have shown

I remember your smiling face
From across the classroom
I thought that is my sister
Maybe I will talk to her soon

Years went by
And you vanished from my life
You went on and became a mother
And I became someone’s wife

I thought maybe one day
Our paths would cross
But in my heart now there is a hole
And I am mourning your loss

Do you look down and see me now?
Your little sister sitting here…
Thinking about what could have been
And holding back the tears

We just know God has His own will
And we can only guess at his plan
But I know one thing
You will always be missed Jennifer Ann

Goodbye

Comforting words
Smooth, quiet tones
Reassurance
complete confidence

Long nights spent reasoning
In total understanding
Twin thoughts
twin minds
twin miseries
and twin fates

Now it’s so quiet
Too quiet
Complete and utter silence....
Oh my God,
What happened to the good old days
When we both made sense?!

Lost in blurry dreams of childhood
Colorful, wonderful, windy days
Subconscious cradled memories
of the times when we
were eachother’s only friends

Only you,
	the sky
		the earth
			and me...

				No betrayal

			No lies
		No fire

	No hate

No regrets.

I think I can understand
why you won’t face me
But your sudden silence
is so confusing

Did you ever know me well enough
to know my affection for ultimate honesty?
If you wanted me to go away
why didn’t you just say something?

Only this emptiness is left
Inconsolable grief...
For what never again can be

No warning
No parting words
No ceremony

You went and had the funeral
for our friendship
but did not invite me

From the start
I thought these ways would always be
But in the end,
All I wanted, my friend
was to say
goodbye.

I can’t trust anyone
anymore
anyway

All alone again
shame on me

January's Wishes Spoken Through the Dishonesty of April.

Her eyes amused me, slices of January that held April tightly....

she could rain in snow, drop from upside-down skies, and we held tightly to the tears that
only appeared on the opposite side of closet doors as we marked our claim on unusual with
hand prints that never saw the sun.

Two days could have passed underneath us before we blinked, my windows whispered glorious
promises but we kept them closed for safety, for the opposition of who we could be, and
she knew the secret of every season, she knew how to laugh when bedroom doors...

closed.

I drew her behind the mirror and we created October across December stars, we became
disobedient underneath the glorious names we sang that night for lips speak magic when
they pretend to lie and dishonesty was but a kiss away from sunrise.

Time stung me come August, come March, come the age of thirty-two, her eyes had been shut
for years now and she sunk beneath flowers I am positive would be beautiful enough to
photograph had I the courage to glance, but my feet have never crossed the grass that
blankets her and roots her promises...

tangled beneath tomorrow with a tight grasp on yesterday, and I wonder if the days have
yet to fade the color of her hair.

It rained in January when I existed miles away, teardrops of memories that fell as softly
as the whispers of her name, I closed the bedroom door tightly and listened intensely for
the echoes of dishonesty, for she remained there, somewhere, behind mirrors that painted
her and the lies that bit my tongue, that reassured me...

our hand prints would hide from summer...

covered in ice-cream secrets that screamed her pain from a smile, from a foolish wish that
spoke us inseparable.

Her eyes, blue as October, slapped me, that day, as they painted themselves the secrets
girls are never supposed to witness, as they refused to allow April to fall but declared

honesty

with the beauty that she

could never see.

Lost and Found

Down the road, near the town,
No one knew where she'd be found.
Stolen from her bed at night,
Waking to find her gone was a fright.
The window curtains blew gracefully in the wind,
Their ironic dance of doom was a sin.
The ladder was left among the broken glass,
The kidnapper knew they would never be found if ever asked.
Down below a search party grew,
But where to look nobody knew.
Near the park where she loved to play.
Under the bridge that lie close to the bay.
Up in the tree house hidden in the willows.
In the basement blanket fort snuggled in the pillows.
On the swings down by the old school.
In the neighbors backyard swimming in the pool.
But nowhere that they looked did she appear,
Losing her forever was their biggest fear.
They could still see her in their memories,
But all of that was gone on the first gentle breeze.
Weeping siblings and a mourning mom,
Could to be that she was really gone?
They lowered her down into the silent earth,
She'd lived in this sleepy town since her birth.
Nothing like this had ever happened here,
So why her? Why now? It wasn't fair.
The flowers where placed upon her grave,
All through the service her little sister had been so brave.
They all went home but things just weren't the same,
What had happened had brought the whole town to shame.
She died at the too young age of seven,
Earned her wings and flew to heaven.

Faked

I stumble upon a river
the way it flows and feels
I take my shoes off and run threw it
laughing looking up towards the sun
I wake up and it was all just a dream
my sister runs up the stairs
she slams her door
i asked her what was wrong
she looked at me
She says "mom told me you were adopted"
at first i laughed as i thought it was a joke
I run downstairs to see my mom and dad sitting on the couch
"mom?" i say
she replies "its true we adopted you!"
she got up and walked into the kitchen
"after all this time i thought i was yours" i say
My father gets up and walks out the door
My mom lays her hand on her forhead
Just dont worry about it everything will be okay
"No it wont i say"
i felt fake like i wasnt who i was suppose to be
i just sat on my bed thinking about the whole thing
my whole life and who i should have been
I packed my bags that light and i ran away
leaving the less important things behind
i set out on a journey to find my real parents
I had my sister get there info. from my dads office
I took a bus to indiana and looked up there address
As soon as i found it i knocked on the door
A man opened the door
he said "who are you?"
i say "apparently i am your son?!"
"you put me up for adoption?" i repeat

He yells "ANNA!?, Some kid is here for you!"
i repeat the story to her as she denied it
She looked bruised and beaten up
I wanted to help her but the man hut the door on my face

I had no where to go now
So i started on a journey back home
But i never made it there
I found that old river i use to go too
i stayed there for a few weeks until
i remembered the way back.
I found myself that day
I realized that i was fake but now im not because i know that i am just me not any of them

LETTER TO A SORE BROTHER BEAUTIFUL SISTER DEDICATED TO MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS LOVE

LETTER TO A SORE BROTHER, BEAUTIFUL SISTER (DEDICATED TO MY BROTHER’S AND SISTER’S LOVE)
Early jungle makes me a desire
To be alone in the belly of our dear beautiful mother
Because our growing up is such and irony
Which made me rejoiced each moment this time
That wishes were never allowed to be rose
For men of wrong mind to buy
There in my childhood irony moment
We fought as if it is created share hatred
We wish for all except one that pays a little pain
For i held back from all
As all held back from me and other all
Indeed, people taught that our life is a share pain
A sore injury to the world of love
Because i loved each moment my brother bleed from our father’s hell
I went behind the scene to celebrate my goal
kindly, the moment is always become
As i happily shun and damn the future
... who did you think you are with my future
I sometimes ignorantly murmur as a child
In my little kingdom emptiness, i rejoice in the brothers pain
A little hatred of thee, a more love of me
I love each time i am loved alone
To hate thee by my blood and cause sheepishly i became and honour
As this irony grows into something still ironic
I wish my pain could allow my pen speak plain
To cry such an awesome deep and sore blood
At each moment the rain of thee bath me thoroughly
To see thee share all to have me clothed
To borrow from the enemy to have me homed
even to lose all from the gods to make sure that i have all from the goddess
The brother even stole to have me meal
More like the blood and doing of the mother, it shared abroad
As brothers all lie to have me protected
Much illiterate to make me the literate king
Oh bleed me death less i say this pain of love
Sisters risk of the night, the horror evil men to see a smile in this lips of mine
That i wish never remember the selfish boyhoodness
Ay! How i see my brother’s cry in his desolation
Not for him or for his little joy
But for the pain of a dear brother
To save all only to loose all to life a brother
Its pain of the ugly moment in a close death
It was determined and death paid of thee
But the brother and sister’s coming death
Woke brothers will up, sisters ghost down
I need to save my brother
Leave my life to save my brother
And take it once his breath is back
There the sacrifice of a dear brother made me desire
Never a child as this in my next world
Because you are a brother, a beautiful brother
A sister, very handsome sister that i hold dearest to my breath
And love dearest to my heart beat

Jane

As she went walking down the lane
The flowers seemed to bloom and rise
And as she walked she murmured Jane
The little sister gone for days

The trees grew tall the grass grew thick
But none of Jane did they find quick
She’s lost forever some did cry
She’s gone to heaven to the sky

I soon will find her she replied
And every day she looked and cried
Though time went by with out a trace
She did not find the little face

The trees grew tall the grass grew thick
But none of Jane did they find quick
She’s lost forever some did cry
She’s gone to heaven to the sky

Week then month then year went by
She walked the lane ever high
Rain nor snow nor sleet did stop
The now grown women from her walk

In Your Love

Every time you kiss my lips
I am drowning, I'm drowning
Like a never ending abyss
I am drowning, I'm drowning
Every time you whisper I miss you
I am drowning, I'm drowning
In your love, in your love.

Life doesn't seem dangerous
When I'm drowning, yeah I'm drowning
Don't take it so serious
Cause I'm drowning, yeah I'm drowning
I don't care what they think of us
Cause I'm drowning, yeah I'm drowning
In your love, in your love

Hope For A Psycho Path

I met my big brother only recently
but he had been keeping tabs on me.
We were separated as children from a brutal crime scene.
We witnessed our mother's slaughter most brutally.
Two days we spent in her pool of blood, traumatized as children would be.
My brother was committed to a mental institution. I was adopted by a loving family
who kept my brother's existence a secret from me.
My foster Dad knew that I would most probably
be a child of special needs
but I doubt that even he could have ever foreseen
the monster that was brewing inside of me.
My brother was a killer without reason or remorse.
He decided to make my foster sister our family reunion trophy corpse.
By killing my foster sister together, my brother believed
that it would unite he and I as a true family.
Like my brother, I too am a killer much like he
without reason or remorse or any feelings remotely,
but unlike my brother a code directs me.
I kill only killers to satisfy my need.
I kill because I need to take human life
to fulfill an uncontrolable hunger within me that's never satisfied.
"You can't help what you've become," Dad told me in my young adulthood,
"but perhaps you can channel this darkness where it will do the most good.
If you kill only killers," my foster Dad taught,
"you'll stand a far better chance of never getting caught.
Never Kill Anyone Who Doesn't Deserve To Die.
Never break this code and you'll most likely survive.
Remember this forever Son.
Your always loved and never alone,"
but that's no longer true now that Dad's dead and gone..
..and No, I didn't kill him
if that's what you were thinking.
My foster Dad died naturally
from hardening of the arteries.
My foster sister didn't deserve to die
and so I sent my brother to his demise.
Authorities ruled it a suicide.
I'm a professional monster when it comes to homicide.
I killed the one person who accepted me for who I truly am
to save the life of someone who would reject me if she knew the truth I hide within.
My brother was the only one other than Dad who I truly made a connection.
and so I continue to be alone and isolated forever destined.
I've never felt anything at all inside
but after I killed my brother, I began to cry.
Perhaps this may be the very beginning
of yours truly getting in touch with truly true feelings.

The above is a scene from the Dexter TV series
that I attempted to write poetically.
Just letting you all know that I'm not writing about me.
I couldn't harm a fly, honestly.

Best Wishes Always,
theKidster, SillyBilly

My sister has courted Death

Lush, green meadows beyond punctured skies,
Balloons of every shape and size,
Golden hues masked by glory,
Suppose the people have no worry.

Dashing across the wooden floorboards,
Children giggle and swing their swords,
Imaginations that drive them wild,
How I wish I were still a child.

An ease about my sister's face,
The maidens prepare to tie the lace,
I suck my breath; I hold it in,
My wedding dress makes me thin.

Buxom priestess with wary eyes,
She eyes Death and speaks true lies,
Death doesn't focus, for she is healthy,
Despite the fact she's born too wealthy.

Oblivious cheers the crowd does act,
When Death kisses me, my eyes go flat,
Soul born into the world and soul taken away,
I was a stranger since my first day.

My sister's eyes I catch with mine,
Wordless gaze, mute goodbye,
She speaks to me with a hushed breath,
'My sister has courted Death.'

And so I have.

A Day In June

A DAY IN JUNE

A day in June,clouds white,sun bright.
What to do on a lonely dark day.
Why is it lonely? Only I can say.
When the lord took my mom and sister away.
It's a funny thing it was'nt yesterday,and it was'nt today.
But, the hurt in our hearts never, never goes away.

We look in the sky and we wonder “what they are doing?”
Singing, laughing, cooking ,sewing?
Just like we used to do when they were here.
But now each day seems like a year.

Our memories are like no others ,
when you had the greatest sister and mother.
Their kindness and love was above and beyond,
and the sweet faces that said " you are where you belong."

We manage to make it threw everyday.
And hope in time the hurt goes away.
We miss them more than we can say
And every day seem dark and gray.

Be happy, not sad and no regrets.
You must go on and do your best,
These are the words our mom left,
Before we had to lay her to rest.

We try so hard to honor her words,
We look at nature the birds and the trees.
We look at the tall grass the flowers the bees.
They just don’t seem to look the same way
When the ones who loved them the most ,are suddenly gone away.

We would love to see them for just one more minute
Even though we know our time would have a limit.
Just for one second, time for a kiss
To let them know just how much they are missed.
WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH !!!!!

Heaven

Heavens gates won't open up for me.
All the sin in my past life.
All the deceit I put my family through.
Heavens gates won't open up for me.

I tried to connect with my mother.
She pushed me off the the back burner.
We never really liked each other, it was a bad relationship.
I tried to connect with my mother.

I tried to talk to my dad.
But tools and work were all he thought about.
If a problem rose, he was out the door.
I tried to talk to my dad.

I tried to speak with my brother.
But his fiance took up most of his time.
I hope they have a beautiful wedding.
I tried to speak with my brother.

I loved my sister dearly.
She was the person I woke up everyone morning to talk to.
She was the problem solver, the angel of my life.
I loved my sister dearly.

But when I was home alone that night,
Everything changed. I couldn't control myself.
The doctor said it was depression,
I said it was life, my daily routine.

I found the pills in the cabinet,
and I just went buck wild.
I opened the safe, and there it was.
The most beautiful weapon of all, the gun.

I cried for a long time before I made my decision.
This is the last chance you have to make everything better, my muse told me.
But my head ignored my heart, and the gun was loaded.
I cried as I pulled the trigger.

Now my mom wishes she connected with me.
My dad wishes he talked to me.
My brother wishes he had spoke with me.
And my sister wishes she had gone with me.

so far from his home and family, Today
we continue to send our sons and daughters, But
there will come a day when, They

The Longest Road

The longest road that I recall,
isn’t very long at all
I used to ride it is a child
on sunny Saturday afternoons
my sister and I play car games
she says “That is your house”
and points to a trailer
I say “This is yours”
and point to a dumpster
Yet we do not worry
what really will become of us
We continue in our coloring books
Along with an old banjo cassette
and when we feel gravel under the tires
and we can no longer color inside the lines
we’ll know we are close to arrival.
My sister graduates from Law school this may
and I am just now getting started
The longest road that I recall
Isn’t really long at all.

My New Home

I stand in the rain, my heart filled with pain
My clothes are covered with many bloodstains
I look to the sky and begin to cry
The heavens never opened when I was alive

So why would they open now? To Him I still cannot bow
For God has watched as my life has dwindled down
And crumbled to nothing, yet I’m still left wanting
I’ve accepted death, yet I’m still looking for something

I fall to my knees, I beg and plead
I need to go to heaven and see
My sister to tell her, I’m sorry I never
Understood when she said I needed to be better

She kept telling me my lies, and helpless cries
Would take me nowhere, and yet I never tried
To hear what she said, now I’m close to dead
The concrete underneath my final bed

The water hits my face, a man fallen from grace
I can’t stop the blood from spreading all over the place
I’ll never see Heaven’s gates, the clouds never break
I cannot amend for all my mistakes

This is why I made a fist, no longer thinking of risks,
I took the knife and cut deep into my wrists
The pain is overbearing, draining, wearing
I’m numb to it all, I’ve completely stopped caring

The Devil joyously shouts, I can hear him cry out
My soul was always his, there was never any doubt
I did too much wrong, I was never strong
Heaven was a place I never belonged

I tell my sister I’m sorry, I don’t want her to worry
I hope she can hear me, but the Devil’s in quite a hurry
I hear the sirens bells, people calling for help
But I’ve already left for my new home…Hell.

Living Angel

Her eyes spoke of love beyond any comparison.
Simple glances she could speak volumes of words.
No language spoken by voice though much power,
Intently she was observant to her surroundings.
Graciously she painted concern with attitude.
Sometimes so sternly advocating her desires,
Strong and dainty from her facial expressions,
Strong and firm her deliverance was given.
Protector of family for eighteen years she gave.
Her mind was efficient and carried life high.
Not a companion a family member so dear,
She witnessed illness, took action quickly.
Strong mind but weakened body, driving forward,
Asking in her gaze, she told of needs and desires.
Her name, Heidi, a game she played when young.
Carrying it forward to daily actions she had won.
Hiding her eyes from anyone, no one could see.
Upon her face as she gazed back, unhidden now,
Was a glory and loving smile, with sparkling eyes.
She shall be remembered with such affection true.
Lost we are now without her presence each moment,
Quietness passes our days and nights without her walk.
No “Tick Tick Tack“as her paws use to tap the floor.
Missing her yawn upon her first wakeup each day,
Her presence no more still reminded by our hearts.
Her spotted coat remembered by all our surroundings.
Dalmatian by breed, Living Angel, now Angel in Heaven,
Upon a future time, we’ll be reunited, with a living Angel.

Written in Memory, for much more than a dog,
She was a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, protector, friend, buddy, pal, neighborhood
watcher, along with so much more.

War Relived

I seem, as I truly seem,
not stating, what is, in my mind.
Experiencing am I, of a, past moment.
A moment, I just, can not leave behind.

Remembering like it, was yesterday,
again, to me, the past, seems so real.
Becoming a part, of the moment, in the role,
with the same emotions, that I feel.

Away was I, from the familiar,
upon a quest, to fight, for the free.
The honor, of wearing, a soldier uniform,
to defend, and annihilate, the enemy.

Buddies beside me, in the commotion,
us facing, the same, wrong time, and place.
Tears coming down, my very eyes,
as I now, can vividly see, his frighten face.

Because for him, the end, was coming,
as he, fought hard, during the whole attack.
He then lie there, while us, his buddies,
voraciously tried, to revive him entirely back.

Back alive, he wasn't becoming,
coming home, to those, whom loved, him all.
My thoughts, and prayers, are with his family,
to others, I've been, nothing but a brick wall.

Me dealing, with the sadness, guilt, and anger,
together in unison, and each, now and then.
Finally realizing, by living, I shows him, love,
of him, giving his life, from way, back when.

FEELS LIKE FOREVER WHEN YOU JUST KEEP ON FALLIN, FEELS LIKE THERES NOTHING TO HOLD ON TO
FEELS LIKE FOREVER WHEN YOU JUST KEEP FALLIN
A SISTERS LOVE, NEVER GOES AWAY,FLY THROUGH THE SKIES OF YOUR DESTINY
A SISTERS LOVE, NEVER GOES AWAY. RESTING IN THE ARMS OF ETERNAL GRACE
AS I LOOK UP AT THE SKY, WATCHING THE CLOUDS PASSING ME BY
I SEE AN ANGEL FLY,THERES A FEATHER FALLIN IN MY EYE,
THE SEEDS THAT WERE ONCES SOWN,WILL FOREVER GROW, YOUR SPIRIT LIVES ON, INSIDE YOUR CHLIDRENS MINDS, YOU ARE THE BEATING HEART OF THEIR HAPPINESS, CREATOR OF ALL OF THIER DREAMS IN LIFE
FEELS LIKE FOREVER WHEN YOU JUST KEEP ON FALLIN, FEELS LIKE THERES NOTHING LEFT TO HOLD ON TO
FEELS LIKE FOREVER WHEN YOU JUST KEEP FALLIN
A SISTERS LOVE, NEVER GOES AWAY, FLY THROUGH THE SKIES OF YOUR DESTINY
A SISTERS LOVE, NEVER GOES AWAY, RESTING IN THE ARMS OF ETERNAL GRACE
THERS A HEEL I FEEL INSIDE,AS A LOST CHILD CRIED, I WAS HELPLESS TO SAVE HER LIFE,SHE WASNT READY TO BE TAKEN AWAY FROM ME LORD,SHE WASNT READY TO DIE, TEAR A HOLE IN THE SKY TONIIGHT,LET THE ASHES OF RAIN, PUT OUT THE FIRE OF RAGE INSIDE
THIS I WILL FORVEVR KNOW IS TRUE SISTER, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.

Cross my Heart

Run little sister find somewhere to hide
I'll take care of Dad I swear I'll be fine
Cross my heart and hope to die
I'll never leave you behind
Dad started drinking when I was seven
Ashley was two, now I'm eleven
Mom has been gone for about four years
I cried, Dad cried, there were so many tears
Almost every night right before bed
I'de pray for her to come back from the dead
Dad's drinking got worse and I couldn't watch
So one night I told him "Daddy just stop"
He turned and slapped me across the face
I fell to the floor and he said "Thats your place"
After that night it became a routine
He'd come home drunk and I would get beat
He turned on Ashley the night before last
I held her tight till the pain past
Mom if you hear me I'de like you to know
God came to us and said "Its time to go"

I miss you

I walk among the willow trees
Gently swaying in the breeze
Reflection touches my mind my sole
Memories of a woman once whole
Before abusing medication and alcohol
Precious Sister allowing them to take control
Before life's trials took her away
I Remember she smiles in a special way
The light that twinkled in her eyes
The joy from comforting her baby's cries
Her spirit shines through her good deeds
Always catering to others needs
Further down the trail I here water splash
Memories of water fights I can see her dash
Laughing, running with bucket in hand
Back then she thought life was grand
The pills began to help her pain subside
Then came the drinking she tried to hide
A flash of good times return to my mind
Then sorrow and tears she's left behind
Solace in knowing this is not the end
Someday we'll see our dear sister and friend

Jocelyn

**In memory of Jocelyn Elizabeth Smyth RIP 3/27/10 You will always be loved**

The one I had tea parties with.
The one I played games with.
The one I loved unconditionally.
Jocelyn.

She was the best sister ever.
She was the smartest sister ever.
She was the prettiest sister ever.
Jocelyn.

I don't know why she took her life.
I don't know why she isn't with us now.
I don't know why she did this to me.
Jocelyn.

I loved your personality.
I loved your sense of humor.
I loved your chats on the bed with me.
Jocelyn.

When I cry myself to sleep, I think of you.
When I garden in the summer, I think of you.
When I do a swan dive into the pool, I think of you.
Jocelyn.

You will always be loved by me.
You will always be loved by mom.
You will always be loved by dad.
Jocelyn.

Blacks

It’s like we’re doing them people a favor
Showing them, that we own up to what they say;
Stereo types isn’t the way,
But we as blacks are proving them right..
They believe that we’ll kill eachother before the
Last night,
& all our women
gone fall a victim to the streets,
Weak minded;
Not even having our children anything to eat..
The only good thing we got going for ourself
Is education,
& that aint gone support the whole nation..

Come on nie,
We gotta take stand!
Teach our children how to believe in
Themselves,
Show our mothers that they
Can make it without a man!
Prove to our fathers,
That they’ll regret they
Neglected us!
Tell our brothers the
“Freak” that noise,
& Stop that fuss!
Its like we all against
Eachother,
But it shouldn’t be this way,
We gotta get it together some day;
Them people know what they doing…
Pretending to solve these crimes,
But knowing their using the same line,
Only place they wanna see us is the cemetery,
Hmm..
Or maybe jail?
But if we don’t make there,
Best to believe:
They hoping we on the
High way to hell,
But we gotta prove em’
Wrong,
Its been too long,
Take a stand,
Cause black women don’t need any man,
Children needa believe in themselves,
Fathers should regret the neglect,
& our brothers need to stop the fuss,
I’m trying not to cuss,
But all this frustration just built up
Inside,
Its kinda hard to hide!
Think about it:
Rosa
Parks,
Martin
Luther King,
Malcom X..
& More, fault
For our freedom;
Now we got it,
& we abusing it,
Kinda like our fathers try our mothers,
But that’s a whole other subject,
We gotta get it together
& that’s a bet(:

respects to be paid

I feel we all have some respects we should undoubtedly pay.
For sacrifices made to ensure the life we all have today.
When we think of heros, we often think of war.
But easily forget those who's battles happen next door.
It's with pride that I honor a woman with a heart made of gold.
As well as my duty that her story be told.
My family was caught up in the first set of waves.
Of disease that turned health Into illness and graves.
At a young age my sister contracted HIV.
Being her gay brother some said it should have been me.
It struck fear in the hearts and made the strongest men wince.
And people that we thought would be there, we haven't seen since.
But my sister was not one to ever back down.
Always up for the fight just ask around town.
But with this illness came a unique kind of dual.
One with whispers and pointing and extreme ridicule.
But she stayed strong and showed them what it meant to be tough.
Far past the point where anyone one else would gave cried out "Enough"
The war on her body lasted to year number seven.
Before God showed some mercy and took her to heaven.
There was a point when she could have just treated her pain
But she knew that through her sufferings hope for others was gained
And what she did saved lives even a chance to live well
A woman they even don't know paid for their life through her hell
So to all of us that have Been effected by AIDS
Pay some respects and remember the price that was paid

HE WAS THERE

I know that there are some that still can't pray
and others that ask, 'Where was God that day?'
HE was there with each tear that's shed
as the news reported, There is thousands dead!'

HE was in the hyjacked planes so out of control
His angels collecting each passenger's soul!
HE was there at the buildings of the World Trade Center
with Heaven's gates wide open bidding all to enter!

HE was there in every tired body and grimy face
that refused to give in to another trying to take his place!
HE was there amongst every common place hero
who repeatedly dug through the rubble in New York's ground zero!

HE was there with the passenger's of Flight 74
whose sacrifice kept the enemy from the White House door!
HE was there with those that died at the Pentagon
when another plane flew into them like a bomb!

HE was there when thousands of passengers landed
unable to get home, so on Canadian soil they were stranded!
HE was there in the smiles of the Maritime youth
who came with blankets, fresh clothing and hot bowls of soup!

HE was there when the President cried out with pride
'This will only make us stronger, we have GOD on our side!'
HE was there when AMERICA was at Iraq's door
teaching the Taliban what happens when you provoke a war!

HE is there today as countless others reflect on the loss
just as HE watched HIS only Son die upon the cross! HE WAS THERE!

Murder in the Skies

It was on this day
December the 21st, 1988
Pan Am Flight 103
Would learn of it's fate

Blown out of the sky
For all the world to see
Two hundred and fifty nine people
Rained down on me

My country Scotland
Lockerbie town
The falling of life
In deathly down

This 747
Model 121
Laid-en with fuel
The horror's begun

Argentinian, Belgium
Bolivia too
Canada, France
Sat beside you

Germany, Hungary
India as well
Hey, Herr
The flights going well

Ireland, Israel
Italy flew
To go to the States
All feeling brand new

Jamaica, Japan
Philippines seated
Family toil
Families depleted

South Africa, Spain
Sweden in flight
JFK
Will not be tonight

Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago
The United Kingdom, United States
All of the above
On this December date

We also remember
Eleven on the ground
Who obliterated to nothing
Not hearing a sound

The town of Lockerbie
Will never be the same
Yet one of the gang goes free
Because the poor guys in pain

Where's the compassion
Of the 270 lost
Their memory now tarnished
To the Scottish Governments cost

We set him free
To his home he goes
Treated like a hero
All compassion has froze

My thoughts and my tears
Are for the truly lost ones
Who will never enjoy
The return to their hometown

In dedication to the 270 who lost their lives on December 21st 1988.

A PERSON/ A PAPER/ A PROMISE

Once on a yellow piece of paper w/green lines
he wrote a poem
And he called it "Chops"
because that was the name of his dog
And that's what it was all about
And his teacher gave him an A & a gold star
And his mother hung it on the kitchen door
and read it to his aunts
That was the year Father Tracy
took all the kids to the zoo
And he let them sing on the bus
And his little sister was born
with tiny toenails and no hair
And his mother and father kissed a lot
And the girl around the corner sent him a
Valentine signed with a row of X's &
He had to ask his father what the X's meant
And his father always tucked him in bed at night
And was always there to do it.

Once on a piece of white paper w/blue lines
he wrote a poem
And he called it "Autumn"
because that was the name of the season
And that's what it was all about
And his teacher gave him an A & asked him to
write more clearly &
His mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because of its new paint & the kids told him
that Father Tracy smoked cigars & left butts
on the pews & sometimes they would burn holes
That was the year his sister got glasses
with thick lenses and black frames &
The girl around the corner laughed
when he asked her to go see Santa Claus
And the kids told him why
his mother and father kissed a lot &
His father never tucked him in bed at night
And his father got mad
when he cried for him to do it.

Once on a paper torn from his notebook
he wrote a poem
And he called it "Innocence: A Question"
because that was the question about his girl
And that's what it was all about & his
professor gave him an A & a strange steady
look & his mother never hung it on the
kitchen door because he never showed her
That was the year that Father Tracy died
And he forgot how the end
of the Apostle's Creed went & he caught his
sister making out on the back porch
And his mother and father never kissed
or even talked & the girl around the corner
wore too much makeup
That made him cough when he kissed her
but he kissed her anyway
because that was the thing to do
And at three a.m. he tucked himself into bed
his father snoring soundly.

Once on a brown paper bag
he tried another poem
And he called it "Absolutely Nothing"
Because that's what it was really all about
And he gave himself an A
and a slash on each damned wrist
And he hung it on the bathroom door
because this time he didn't think
he could reach the kitchen.

Intelligence first, Retribution next
Clinical response the worlds text
Which free country is next in line
To be hit by this cowardly crime.

New York Cities patriots, suffer further pain
As Fire Officers and Police are slain
They indeed are part of this attack
So many of them never came back
Honourable dads, cousins and wife's
Mourn their lost ones, who lost their lives.

The World will remember
This September deathly sound
When iconic giants crashed to the ground
Hero's in the air, and on Manhattan Earth
Proved to us all, whats humans are worth.

In respect to the decent people who perished on that September day.

Burning souls

Scalding tears, empty promises, the rejoinder of corruption.

Keep away from the fire, fruit tree, bureaucracy don't scratch your pen on the
paper.

Poison somebody's mind,my village has 800 souls.

The murderer boasts again and the fireman goes to an early grave.

I snuff a candle,knelt down and prayed,

......as the moon is beginning to wax.

Lost in a feeling

Lost in a feeling,
Thinking of my friends.
Thoughts reeling,
When will this end?

Friends in war,
Endless conflict.
What is it for?
It just kills and raises debt.

For control of oil,
To stop mad men.
So much turmoil,
Why did this begin?

I wish they could come home,
My brothers and sisters in arms.
I know they feel alone,
I wish them well and free of harm.

Since Your Death

Since Your death we all cried tears,
my dear beloved sister you left us
and your five children have all spread
their wings and moved to different cities;
even your siblings still miss you dearly,
tried a couple times but Lynda some
people don't like my honest comments so,
since your death we all cried tears.

The End

I count each second waiting for my life to unfold
And I can't help but to grow another year old
My message of Death that I send
(Is often intercepted)
As a young girl's life is at its end
I wish not to control Death, or whom it takes
But it's a deadly game, and I hold the stakes

Death chooses as he may
(His victims)
But I helped him 18 months to the day
Yes, I have many of such regret
Yet, I have only one pay to debt
My heart, each night, starts to ache
As my soul in Hell starts to bake

On the battlefield of Good and Evil
I won the battle victoriously, with decieval
My soul, I cannot heal
I played my cards, there is no deal
I had my chance to make life right
I have no chance left to see the light
My life and it’s lend
And the one chance I was given
Is now at its end

Little Jo

"Mama Said to Call You
It's Time to Have Some Dinner.
Come and I Will Race You
We'll See Who Is the Winner."

I Always Lost the Race
To My Little Sister, Jo,
She Loved to Be the Winner
So I Ran a Little Slow.

I Really Didn't Mind
Because I Loved Her So,
She Loved Life and Living
And She Had So Far to Go.

The Memories I'll Cherish
Of Our Childhood Sweet and Fair
It Seems like Only Yesterday
That She Lost Her Teddy Bear.

But the Day We Found Him
I Forever Shall Regret.
Maybe If He'd Stayed Lost
I'd Have Nothing to Forget.

She Found Him in the Neighbor's Yard
And She Ran Across the Street,
She Didn't See the Car.
Now I Forever Weep.

Sometimes I Hear a Little Voice
In the Middle of the Night,
And it Brings Back Memories
Of a Little Girl in Flight.

"Mama Said to Call You
It's Time to Have Some Dinner.
Come and I Will Race You
And We'll See Who Is the Winner."

X

Meaning beating rhythmic patterns the letter X,
   an initial in my name
It's a letter most people fear
but once you know it dear
 Approaching it with-in it's text,
it will be a whole new game

Two sister cities
  once stood still
  one city in Africa
it took a pill
 The sister city
 took it's name
  Africa's President took one look
They declared war on a great big crook

Then China once again retook the name
 By paging out it's domain
 It carried out it's plain

By the way Xi men is the name
I am a X

9/11, 2001
Tuesday morning when it all began
Four Jet Airliners
Hi-jacked at will
To fly their mission
To kill, blood spill

Target chosen
New York City
No questions asked
No pity

Internal flight
Laid-en with fuel
Turned off course
To the Hi-jackers rule
Islamist, al-Qaeda is the name they claim
What honest faith
Would want this fame
To take these lives on this September day
It's not what religion should portray

Nineteen jackers, whats on their minds
To do their deed on their own mankind
No scriptures, books of the olden day
Would let any brother, be slain this way
What battle would be, without seeing your killers eyes
This nineteen, the world despise

Our modern world on camera caught
Jet Airliners flying the next so fraught
North Tower hit by flight 11
Then the South by flight 175
All aboard the planes, would not survive
Many compatriots would also die.
To this day i wonder why?

CNN and TV crew's
Capture, man's cruelty to man
It makes you spew
The cowards that commandeered these planes
Are not religious, plainly insane

To be on the ground and look above
Two Manhattan giants
New Yorkers grew to love
Taken down by evil beings
They can't believe what they are seeing

Two explosions in just under an hour
Office life is about to shower
Paper and life fall to the ground
Silenced grief makes no sound
To New York City, that never sleeps
In a state of mourning that will presently weep

We hear on the news, Washington's been hit
The Pentagon, yea that's it
One of the four, also has it's say
On this dark September day

In Pennsylvania
The fourth still in flight
Passengers on board
Try with all their might
Overcome the scum
Who hi-jacked their plane
The next hour would never be the same

Somerset County is where she fell
These brave civilians,
As calls will tell
To try and claim the plane that's theirs
So suppress those infidel curs>

five years ago

Good morning she said to me, twas a Sunday morn
Outstretched arms, asking for a hug, with a yawn.
As we embrace, the sun shine through the window,
I kiss her forehead, and tickled her tiny little toes

In a beautiful red dress and shiny curly locks
She brought her little purse loaded with her snacks.
As we walked along she held my hand so tightly
I smiled at her, "i'll never let go, don't you ever worry."

We played at the park, oh! Twas a joyous happy day.
A balloon in her hand, you should have seen her play.
"I'm thirsty," she said, "hold my balloon, don't let it fly away"
I smiled at her, "I'll never let it go, don't you worry," I say.

It was dark when we got home she was half asleep
I took off her shoes, tucked her between the sheets.
Soon she was sleeping, her face angelic and peaceful
I'd say a prayer, thank God for a day so wonderful.

And as I lay down on my bed that night to sleep and rest
I realizes that all these was just my imagination at best.
See, for last time I hold her was exactly five years ago.
But then I smiled, don't you worry, my sister, I would never let go.

I know my mommy did
even though her shoes I did hid

I think my daddy did

my grandpa and grandma surely does
for I'll do anything for them just because

I know my little girl loves her momma
even better than president Obama

my dogs and cats loves me
even if they continue to make me sneeze

even my close friends new and old still spark the love
for we will alway's go on and well above

paperboy surely does
cause I tip him for keeping my paper out of bushes and shrubs

milkman used to
when I didn't make him shu

bill collectors oh yes
for I'm their baby who they love the best

so who loves me
well lets just continue to see

His end

he drives so fast as he watches the roads go
leaving the town while time seems to slow
his minds not there but the faces still lurk
hurting deep down, going berserk
he hears their words ringing in his ears
no longer near them yet they are here
his best friend, they've been through it all
through all the highs even in the falls
but he betrayed him and that is what hurt.

She was ex, but only for two days
they ended it and went separated ways
few days later and he see's her again
this is where he finds out she was with his best friend
it made him angry and wanted to fight
but it was too late his body in flight
"I don't want to see you, never again"
he was his best friend but this was the end
so he took off leaving there sorry words behind

He went home but he was too angry to stay
he didn't understand why his life turned out this way
so he made a mistake and stole his sister car
trying to get away, trying to go far
off to his aunts in the middle of the night
with little petrol and little light
he was in the car moving way too fast
his life was ending minutes did they last
an animal darted into the road out of the curve
he saw it too late, the car started to swerve

Off the road and into the a tree
his life ended, breaking you and me
the car shattered and so did his heart
tearing his arteries and lungs apart
he died in seconds is what they said
while we were asleep all tucked up in bed
The priest he said some wonderful words
but his family and friends, they never heard
to wrapped in grief to even agree
everyone there, even me.
I am his sister and this was his story

Solemn Son

Where's my mommy? Where'd daddy go?
Older sister says she's nobody's daughter.
Loveless lament as I realize I never had parents.
In our lives, no arch angels or saving souls were sent.
I hold my sister as in pretense she tells us no harm was ever meant.
But sociopath mother and murderer father must be held responsible.
Forever gone in a loveless void, their sins are irreconcilable!
As the strangers take us away from the past I look towards the shining sun.
And I yearn to forget my mother's blood and my father's smile as he guiltlessly grasped
his gun.
They've destroyed themselves and left behind a distraught daughter and solemn son.

No Color or Relgion, Ever Stopped a Bullet from a Gun

I heard on the news
Another two are lost
That makes 206
Is there, a whatever the cost

We are there to assist
A country so reft
Inner fighting
To help the rest of the left

Guerrilla warfare
Tactically strong
Thousands of miles
Where we don't belong

The people we vote in
Would they go in their place
To show their people
Dying is no disgrace

I will never allow
My children to fight
A war so improper
A conflict not right

To show our presence
As we parade their land
A remote explosion
Blown up on demand

How can we serve
A regime so unfair
They can starve their women
Because he can't have her there

To fight for their freedom
As they fight themselves
The decision should be made
To save ourselves

The Russians failed
So now we try
Coalition troops
In daily die

The modern wars
Will always be run
No color or religion
Ever stopped a bullet from a gun

Rwanda Wrongs

In 1957, there existed a plan
To rid Rwanda of the Tutsi clan
Power they had, too much for one side
The foundation for, future Genocide

1960, the monarchy was gone
Will both sides sing the same song
Sadly not as the persecutions start
Ripping this African country apart

1973, under a new regime
Juvénal Habyarimana promised restrain
Progress and reconciliation proposed to be
For this country to unite, finally

1994, Habyarimana gunned down
His assassination, country drowns
This killing of him, the carnage starts
Population half, ripped apart

The killings horrific, no one spared
Machete slain, heads caved
Hacking, be-headings as families fall
As CNN tune in, the world appalled

The continuance, of the slaughtered tribes
Men, women and children you can't describe
Women raped, and the unborn slain
This horrific act of human pain

Most of the fallen, in their own villages dead
By another clan, they thought were friends
Indescribable to the world as our televisions show
The massacre of innocents, as we watch blow by blow

Where does it all end, can we try the same songs
How many more of these Rwanda wrongs
It appears to be a human trait
To kill each other for the sake of it

To Dave and Roz

To David and Roz

Since you left I think of you and often find a tear.
Never returning home, never coming back here.
I want to yell at you and tell you that you’re dumb!
But all I can do is get a feeling that makes me numb.

Why did you have to take those pills? Why did you have to die?
Now you know that prescriptions kills, watch as we all cry.
Why did you think of only yourself? And leave us all behind?
To your children I have to tell, what made their daddy die.

Less than a year has passed and I still feel regret.
Regret for not knowing more and letting everything set.
Fifty weeks later our sister does the same.
Is it doctors? Or your usage that is to blame?

Why did you have to take those pills? Why did you have to die?
Now you know that prescriptions kills, watch as we all cry.
Why did you think of only yourself? And leave us all behind?
To your children I have to tell, what made their mommy die.

Why did you leave us this way? Was it worth the ultimate cost?
Watching as your children play and I think that all is not lost.
At least you left pieces of you here, at least they can still grin.
I miss you both and I shed my tear, knowing that the drugs win.

Black

The black cloak wrinkled from a restless night
Worn that day despite its negative appearance
Deep, deep black eyes look darkest from grief
Time only wears away the cloak's black color
Washed to a dull gray-black lacking luster
The fabric worn nearly through from its constant use

Each night's journey into the land of terror
Accompanied by the cloak so real that coated every dream
She would sleep, rest, and dream of reaching for her baby girl
Relive the horror of those black eyes a mirror image of self
Staring back at her set in death's grip, wide open and black
A dream that never went away for it was real life event
Dead at nine months old from pneumonia
Found by those living, deep black eyes that never lived again

My adoptive mother and father had a baby girl who died at 9 months old from pneumonia..My mother fed her at 2 A.M. and when the baby did not awake in the morning as usual mother went to see about her and she was dead..

Why

Ive tryed to learn
Ive tryed to fly
all you seem to want
is for me to cry
Tryed to run
tryed to hide
you love my pain
youll love when I die
I said I would follow you to the end of time
but if you dont step up this heart well stay mine.
I wake every moring to only pain
my life is unliveable
why wont this change
I dont want heaven
nore live in hell
just remove this life
form this cell
stop my time
stop my pain
noone knows
to them is all the same
But I have to wake every day to other peoples happiness
so fuk your games
Ill die alone if thats the only way
what can i do.
when my little sister curses you.
Maybe shes right!

My Sister's Death

I sit in my room
Reminiscing over a past blister,
Remembering the gloom
And the death of my sister.
The death of my sister;
A pain long past due,
Hidden 'neath the blister.
Nothing I could do.

This four leaf clover
Can't do a thing for me.
My sister's life is over,
And my turn is soon to be.
I'm trying to be brave,
But it's hard to be a brother
When she's lying in a grave.

To Die

Take a gun and put it to your head.
You tell your self this,"I am better off dead."
You the trigger and that bullet comes out.
but what if you don't die, theres always that doubt.

Take some pills, and try 2 overdose.
You watch the world spin
you fall down and the paramedics come but u don't die
your left mentally disabled, this is no lie.

Take a knife and stab yourself.
And watch the blood flow.
Your little sister comes in, and that's what you had to show.
There she is watching you die slowly.
why would you want to see her cry?

My Sweet Sister

My sweet sister
Calling from above
I am on my way
Riding on a dove

Here I come
On my way
I'll be with you always
Till death that day

I am happy
Alive with you
All 18 months
Till Death does do
I will always love you

Can I pray
If I may
 - For Holy body
And Holy soul
I would give my life
To hold -

Jimmy My Son

Jimmy my son, so
many years ago,
when you were such
a little tot,
your sister and you,
would pay me a visit
every Saturday.

Miss those days of
so long ago, had
many memories to
go with them.

Jimmy I was so
proud of you my
son, day you were
born,

you were my pride and
joy, as every father who
has his first son is.

so we named you
James W. Foulk Jr.,
can't tell you how
happy I was.

It broke my heart
when your mother
left me and I thought
the world had ended.

Heart ache was with me
but got by ok, still had
you and your sister Christine
to see each week.

Many years passed and
I moved to Denver in
1977, so we lost touch
after a while.

Saw you for last time
in 1994, not thinking it
would be last visit
with you my son.

On September 20, 2005
at the age of 39, you left
3 sons behind on that fatal day,
I did come home to see
you for the last time
in your coffin.

Like my dad, I
stayed away from
you and am now
paying for it,
Jimmy my son,

love you and will
miss you so, life
is so short, as I found
out my son Jimmy.

Chilly Willy

like a stampeed herd of buffalo shuffling across floor
I kept hearing stomping through the door

no mist or beams of light
but her dogs surely felt the erie fright

clinging to me like a lovers intertwine
I uttered to them you'll both be just fine

I could feel my sister's enity come through the door
I sat up and yelled your here no more

as fast as she came in
she backed out slowly once again

I called out to her name
said you died in your sleep oh what a shame

could not fall to sleep the rest of the night
waiting for another sign that she's alright

she was only fifty seven
now she resides in God's heaven

her dogs placed in a no kill shelter
But her visit felt like helter skelter

Cloud-Cover… On A Sunny Day
Got Me On This Hill… Looking-Up and Dreaming
Cloud-Cover… I Just Want To Lay
And Watch The Sunrays Gently Beaming…
… thru The Cloud-Cover… Cloud Cover

Cloud-Cover… Like A Gentle Lover
A Sweetheart, That’s Somewhere Far Away
Who, Sends A Message… To This Hillside Clover…
… and Me… Wishing Both, Could Stay…
… just Like Cloud-Cover… Cloud Cover

Oh, Let Our Lives, Be Like Close-Cloud-Cover
Gently Rolling By, Slowly, On The Breeze
Rise Up With Love, For One Another
And Ride The Wind.. ‘til We Are Free…
… Discover, Cloud-Cover… Cloud Cover

Cloud-Cover… Was A Sunny Day
… but I Hear Distant Thunder… On A Hill…
Cloud-Cover… I Have To Pray…
I’m Running Thru The Rain… ‘Cause I Feel A Chill…
… Don’t Let It Be My Cloud-Cover!... Not My Cloud-Cover!
…Nor My Son, Daughter, Mother, Father… Or My Brother…

Cloud Cover… Please… Cloud Cover…

Could Have Been Me

I have two brothers and that is it,
A sister would have made it perfect.
I met this girl and we hung out all the time,
I finally had a sister of mine.
Even though, we didn’t have the same family,
She was as real as a real sister could be.
And I was six years younger than her,
But that didn’t really seem to matter.
I knew her brother and her dad,
When I met her, her mom had just past.
I met her boyfriend and her cousins too,
Her only sister had died at age two.
One thing set her apart from the rest,
She would never settle for less.
She broke up fights and talked things out,
She was a peacemaker without a doubt.
Her brother and dad were in and out of jail,
For drug possession and intent to sell.
She graduated from high school with a 4.0,
And not one college she applied to said no.
There was not one time she didn’t have my back,
Whether for moral support or even an attack.
I remember this one time her and me,
Were riding as passengers and her brother was driving.
They used to let me sit in the front seat,
Because they knew that is where I had wanted to be.
We had just pulled over to get some gas,
She came up to the front seat and put the music on blast.
A song that we liked had just came on,
And we started singing along.
Her brother was inside of the store,
And a car pulled up that she couldn’t ignore.
All of a sudden she jumped on top of me,
I had no idea about what was happening.
I didn’t know what was going on,
But I could tell something was definitely wrong.
She jumped back and she started to choke,
And I noticed there was blood coming out of her throat.
Her shoulder was the next thing the bullet had hit,
There’s no way my sister can die like this!
Her blood felt warm against my skin,
That’s when I realized what was happenin’.
Her brother barged his way through the car door,
He picked up her body and threw it on the floor.
I could not believe that he just did that,
He didn’t stop or even look back.
He feared about getting locked up at any moment,
Because I found out that he had a warrant.
If he didn’t do that could she have been saved?
We will never know, we had to dig her grave.
I didn’t even go to her funeral,
I mean, I couldn’t because I was feeling too miserable.
I pray for her family, her friends and her soul,
My life, to her I will always owe,
My mind is still in awe you see,
It happened to her, but it could have been me.

thinking of writing a book continued

Things were okay, or at least I thought so. When you’re a 15-year-old girl your
world consists of boys, girls that don’t like you, conversation for hours on the
phone with your best friends about what you should wear to the upcoming dance,
etc. That was my world then, at least for a little while. That world quickly came to
a screeching halt. I was at school, doing my normal thing when I was called to
the office to check out for the day. I took my time, gathered my things and walked
to the end of the hall to find my step-dad (my mom’s second husband) standing
there waiting for me. I kept walking, but I knew something was wrong. As I
approached him he had no color to his face and he looked like he had just heard
the worst news anyone could have told him. I asked him what was wrong and he
shook his head no at me and started walking out the door. I followed. I
continued to ask him what was going on and he still wouldn’t answer me. Finally
he turned around and looked at me after we had reached the parking lot, he
said, “it’s your dad.” I didn’t really know what he was talking about, I asked him
what happened, he didn’t say a word, he simply put his fingers as though they
were a gun to his head and pulled an imaginary trigger that all of a sudden was
more real to me than I can tell you. I asked, “Daddy committed suicide?” He
nodded his head yes and told me to get in the truck. I climbed into the truck
unable to speak, unable to think. What he just told me seemed like a nightmare,
seemed impossible. We hat to go pick up my younger sister who was in sixth
grade at the time. He went in and got her and when they came back out she
asked what was wrong. I looked at my step-dad hoping with all my heart that he
would tell her because I didn’t know if I could even begin to utter the words that
seemed to make time stand still. He just stared at me, so I had to look my sister
in the eye and tel her that our daddy, our hero, our knight in shining armor was
gone. We didn’t know a lot about the situation until we got home. We walked in
and my mom told us that he was gone. I collapsed to the floor. It was as if
everything in me wasn’t enough to keep me upright. Nothing at that moment
could have given me the strength to stand. Every breath I took, every tear I cried
as I lay there on the floor seemed to echo. The saying, “time

Loss of a Loved One

I know I left you,
I just could'nt stay.
The pain was inside me
I had to get away

You say you don't understand
I had a long life to live
but I was dying inside,
I had nothing left to give.

So you say you're feeling hurt
you feel you've been betrayed
those were not my intentions
so please don't be afraid.

So when It's your time
you'll see me again.
I'll be free from the pain,
and you'll still be my best friend.

Into The Bliss Of Time

Into the bliss of time
Is this where you stand, watching?
I hear the whisper of your soul
Calling out.

I see you there, standing,
Watching me
A smile so large to comfort worlds
Dancing in the rainbows of lilac.

The world is ours in thought
On clouds and floating high
These beautiful dreams are ours
Of lilac and rainbow
Incessant in the sky.
We chase the stars together
Holding hands as we are
I have three and you have four
Firestars in a jar.

Back into the bliss you go
Dancing angle
Swirling in the rainbows of lilac
Into the dreams of reoccurrence
Standing, watching.

I will feel your love within
Riding the wings of the zephyr
The beauty of a sister
Holding the heart of her brother.

Accepting our loss

Such pleasure you gave
in the short time we had,
but you were chosen
and though we are sad;
you're away from the dangers
your earthly life had,
away from things ugly
those awful things, bad... .
You brought us peace,
we can't be mad;
for your crossing over -
means an angel they add.
So proud of you,
so very glad;
from loving friends, family;
Mum and Dad

' The Knight Guards Thee ... ' (Medieval # 5)

Thou Art Fair and Not Forsaken
The Knight Guards Thee
as Thou Slumber midst
Embers of Purity
with Palms of Vespers
Thou Art Fair and Not Forsaken

A Chaste Kiss doth Pledge
The Knight Guards Thee
Treads the Cold-Castle Halls
...Hours of Torch-lit Vigil
Eyes, Terrible as Flames Upon...
Thy Fairness... never Forsaken

Nay, no Invasion of Spirit Cometh
The Knight Guards Thee
against Travail, Hordes and Dread
Sword and Teeth wouldst Bathe in Blood
'Ere harm Trespass to Thee
Thou Art Fair and Not Forsaken
In Peace, Rest... Fair Maiden

Blood on Emeralds

The blood of Emeralds
In Northern Ireland's streets
Where sides detest
Victims they seek

Religious divide
Neighbours slain
For the life of me
What to gain

These troubled times
Historic sores
Deep rooted pasts
Now to the fore

IRA
UDA
Many guns came out to play
Both sides fell, as they murderously slay
During the week, even Sundays

The Belfast agreement of 1998
This Land of Emeralds, in peaceful state
Neighbours safe to talk again
Never allow the blood, on the Emeralds stain

" Dedicated to all Ireland - The Emerald Isle "

The Beauty In You

I seen the beauty within you
you unfurled it and let it flew

touching all each passing day
heart of gold when it came to a childs play

god sent down his special angels
and saving that dance to a heavenly tango

guess God needed you more then I
but do not fret sis for my heart now sighs

just knowing your with our family above
someday we'll rejoice on the wings of a dove

for the wolf and shepherd may cross my path
but it is I that shall have its last laugh

for one can not take away those loving years
even if I'm the one left standing alone in tears

for time we shared together was given few
I was honored to see the inner beauty in you

your loving daughter and son will be alright
as they look upon the land and see the stars shine so bright

so as you travel above the high drifted planes
Ill be waiting for god to someday explain

How can one so young and free
Be taken away from somebody like me

but I will be thankful for having a sister like you
who shared her passion and beauty for life and for all she knew

The Day When

Just another day
I was eight
My sister ten
The day when

Aunt Alice tried to explain
I didn't comprehend
My sister screamed would not believe
The day when

Whispers everywhere
I did not know or care
Wendy older as they tried to hold her
The day when

Mum came home from the hospital
I met her at the front door
Only when I saw her tears.
Did I know
The day when

Only as I saw her cry
Did my own tears flow from my eyes
But only because I didn't want her to cry and not because
The day when

He lay in the hospital morgue
My sister and I talked
We saw a shooting star - to us our dad saying goodbye
The day when

We were shipped off to relatives in Kent
The day our dad went into the ground
But never seeing was never certain be would not come home again
The day when

The day when
A wonderful man died
My father a man who loved me without question
Was ripped from my life

No one could have predicted
The nightmare that would begin
As our mother held us and said we would be OK
The day when

Weep Not For Me

Weep not for me.. oh saints of God.
The road I have traveled has been long and hard.
It is now time for me to take my rest.
I want you to know I have passed my test.

Weep not for me… please dry your tears.
I have lived on this earth for many years.
I know to you the time has been short.
But only the Lord knows when enough is enough.

Weep not for me… my dear child.
You will understand it all better by and by.
Remember what I have taught you down through the years.
Cherish the memories and keep them very near.

Weep not for me…for it won’t be very long.
Your days of sorrow will end and you will sing a new song.
Weep not for me… for I have made it to my new home.
I am now resting safely in my Savior’s Arms.

A dear friend and sister in the Lord passed 8-8-2007.
