It's only time

For the lark she sings in her morning song,
That brightens up my day.
The pitter patter of tiny drops,
Clouds fill the sky with grey.

The dampened ground, that familiar smell,
Now quenched refreshed anew.
Brings forth forgotten memories,
Of a time that I once new.

Like grains of sand they ebb and flow,
Those minutes of the day.
In lines of endless moments,
That brought forth that child at play.

For is this just like déjà vu
For some time I’ve been alone.
Now standing here now humble,
To all these things I’ve known.

With gentle face a youthful pose,
As we danced the night away,
A tender touch a knowing gaze,
No need for words to say.

For what is love but a feeling?
As hearts melt into one.
With the blessings of good fortune,
Now Care free and full of fun.

For they say that hopes eternal,
And all things come to he who waits.
Or is that for other people,
For nothing seems that straight.

Given in reflected thought,
To those oh so special years.
Brought back in just a heart beat,
I wipe away the tears.

Have You Looked up at The Sky Today

Have you looked up at the sky today and watched the birds that flew pass? Did you notice the white fluffy clouds and a beautiful rising sun so vast?

Have you looked at the trees around and noticed the fruits and flowers that bares? A variety of beautiful colours that it displays. Do me a favour, just stop and stare.

Have you looked around your home today and saw all that you achieved? or did you rush out as normal again and forget the office keys?

Have you looked around work today and noticed every one stressed? Most of them in such a bad mood and some of them in a complete mess.

Have you listened to the radio today and sang along to some of the songs? Even though you might sing out of tune or sometimes get the words wrong.

Have you looked up at the sky tonight and saw the beauty that it holds? Or where you afraid to go outside that late in case you caught a cold?

Down the road could be a man who was born without sight. Yet thee most humble being and “hears” everything in delight.

On the other side could be a woman who will never be able to hear. But full of love to everyone cause she sees their love so clear.

Someone out there has no family or friends and someone will never be able to walk Someone out there has no job or home and someone will never be able to talk.

I guess that the problem with society today is not appreciating what’s already been given.
Simple yet priceless gifts from above, that’s always in front of us, never hidden.

Look around, appreciate and see how you have been blessed. Family and friends surround you, yes even though your life could be a mess.

A home, a job, a car to drive, clothes and food to eat. Remind me once again why you are never upbeat?

So have you looked up at the sky today and noticed the beauty that surrounds? And thanked God for all you have or did you rush out and started the day with a frown?

Shaft of Light

Oh imperceptible storm looming mighty as we walk,
secure is its claim as volatile manipulator.

The sun hides behind the insensitive violation,
the rugged moor top grows shapeless within the greyish shroud.

The day gives way to manifestation, illusions cast
as folk stagger habitually along life’s broadway.

My mother clasps a tiny hand, just happens to be mine,
the sun fights back peeps through the cloud, a shaft of light appears.

“One day you and I” she says “Will travel upon that light,
sent down every day for us, this the stairway to heaven.”

So many questions come to mind after these pensive years,
the day I buried my mother, a shaft of light appears!

Visions for Change

Walk with me, my child, before you grow
Hear of the world I’d like you to know

A unified Earth without country divisions
One without governments to make decisions

A world where people are not judged by race
Color neutral, can you imagine this place?

Freedom to worship as each one pleases
No hate-based reproaches, just loving breezes

All would have food, shelter and joy
Care would be given to each girl and boy

Mother Nature would smile upon us all
No earthquakes, tsunamis or mudslide falls

Art would be revered and beauty bestowed
Never again would war sounds explode

Now tell me, dear child, do you share my dream
For you hold the power to build a new team

Our youth may set our tomorrow in motion
Precepts like these need not only be notions

Let Your Light Shine

Let your light shine, to show your way of life
The road can be difficult and hard

But remember that on your journey of life, you are never alone
Let your light shine and you will reach your goals

Everything To Win

Today you have no reason to be sour and sad
When you look around, the world is not too bad

Smile to the world and you will see hwo many friends you get
Focus on everything that is positive and don`t be upset

Open your window let the sun and love come in
Today, it is your birthday and you have everything to win

'Fallen Angels'

I watch as they descend from the sky
So many of them I can't help wonder why

Once on the ground they dance all around
Still the sight of them to me is so profound

Some voices come in whispers so low
Yet some billow causing them to echo

There is a reason they came down below
They bring a message of things we should know

~Angels descending,bring from above,
Echoes of mercy,whispers of love~

These angels didn't fall at all
Just upon us they made a call

SKETCHES OF DEW

The lake is a plate of evening blue Here where mists of dew sprinkle the view Under lilting skies the undulating sea Stretches far beyond infinity Silent and calm, no hint of green Smooth as silk with translucent sheen Rippling blue as far as fingers can see Yet when the moon’s luminosity Fondles the surface where the wavelets flow Twinkling jewels are dew-pearls’ glow To easels of moonbeams on a crystal sea How incredibly beautiful this vignette can be... © For Brian Strand's Image Theme Contest/ 2 to 14 Lines By nette onclaud

Loony Tunes

< Cascading lakes and streams
The loon stands out it seems

                                           Minnesota's state bird
I know it must sound absurd

                                           Adopted in nineteen sixty one
Wails and yodels heard under the sun

Black and white bearing red eyes
Wingspans five feet can make one cry

Body lengths up to three feet
Yet clumsy on lands and moss peat

                                          They are high speed flyers
                                          And great underwater divers

They can dive up to ninety feet
In pursuit of fish they want to eat

They are even on our license plates
An critical habitat drawn on metal slates

Twelve thousand of these unique birds
God that has to be a lot of turds

But for now I'll enjoy it's captured views
Of this beautiful loon and it's most colorful hues

Helped You Fly

I held your face and caught your tears..
On my fingertips they balanced and disappeared..
Swallowed your sadness with an open mouth..
Lifted grief away and showed what love is about..
Took a dream and gave you the starring role..
A place to run and play and feed your soul..
Now your free to dream your own..
Just remember me, your never alone..

The Gilded Mountain Sea

I look across the windswept canyons, see the blazing trees. A gold and russet ocean swells beneath the autumn breeze. It surges as the highest tide to reach the mountain tops. An endless wave of beauty rushing on, it never stops. And in the sky of tangerine, its gulls are birds that glide across this sea of fantasy into the eventide. The disappearing flock of geese and waning sun imbue nostalgia that engulfs the soul enraptured by the view. My valley home, like ocean’s strip of shore, now calls to me, a voyager who must depart from gilded mountain sea.

No Heaven Without You

The end of my life the beginning of my death
I shall start to slowly inhale my final breath

Fast forwarding memories race through my mind
There is one in particular that I’m trying to find

Is it of the hottest night or the brightest day?
I really don’t know how could I possibly say

White capped waves to snow capped peaks
As I start to exhale I feel so tired and weak

Funny how everything has started moving so slow
As my mind races to learn what it shall never know

Suddenly everything ceases as clouds fill my eyes
For I have frozen in the memory of you and I

Nothing but darkness here at the end of the race
As my final breath of air softly kisses your face

As I travel through the darkness I feel no fear
I’m lost in the taste from the salt of your tear

They say eternity is no more than an equation of time
Consequences of our life heaven or hell shall define

There is one truthful fact regarding my fate
Our Lord Jesus Christ will meet me at the gate

But I won’t go in that’s something I could never do
There is no heaven for me until I walk in with you

I’ll sit down right there just outside of the gate
I’m certain for you the Lord will let me wait

I know you’ll be mad because I waited so long
Sweetheart you are the message inside of my song

And the message my song shall forever send
It could only be heaven if I have my friend

A blessing in my life

I usually write in couplet rhyme
Its simply what I do it's not by design
It's just the way the words seem to flow
Into my head up out of my soul
I love the ones that are full of light
See they are what brought me up out of the night
People prove they care by the things that they do
So I write this light for all of you
I write it because I wish you to know
True beauty is born with-in the soul
The soul is a thing that cherishes the light
Do you not embrace the stars through the dark of night
Well as you do know my words are true
They may twinkle bright but not as bright as you
You are angels who covered me in your prayers
Let me know I'm someone worthy of care
I hold you all in my heart just like my wife
Like her you are "a blessing in my life"

Like No Other

Before the future and after the past
We have found each other’s souls at last

In the beat of a heart I was able to see
The rest of my life belonged to thee

When our eyes met it wasn’t a glance
Locked together in a forbidden trance

For we had each given up on love
And being forgiven by Lord above

We were forever lost and on the run
Burying our pain by having our fun

Children scattered from here to there
As we stayed so high we didn’t care

We each knew when you come down
You lose your mask and face the clown

And that was something we couldn’t do
Until the day you met me and I met you

Unplugging the phone we locked the doors
I told you my sins and you told me yours

The people in our life just couldn’t believe
We found in each other the strength to leave

To change our fate was quite the chore
But there was noting we each wanted more

My children love you and yours love me
Because we have melted into one family

I wrote this poem because I want you to know
You beat with my heart and live in my soul

You have always been way more than my lover
You’re the friend I found who is like no other

Lost In Love

Lost in love,
Found in pain,
Can't get out,
All in vain.
Keep you with me
All my life.
Your words cut into me
Like a knife.
I lay in your arm,
Staying out of harm.
Keep me there,
Because i know you care.
Lost in love,
No more pain,
Don't want out,
Not in vain.

When sparks Fly..

When Sparks Fly.

The magic in our togetherness make's sparks fly.
Years of me loving her, her heart will always be mine.

Our trials, our errors, through out our years.
Seeing grandchildren we made, strikes me to tears.

Two hearts we have still beat as one.
The magic of our love is like white morning doves.

We are still young then turning so old.
Magically we are still in love 7 times fold.

I have found my soul mate early in my life's stride.
We both believe our love, with togetherness is our pride.

Be the Salt

Don't carry the dead back home
Leave them better left alone
Time will come to face those fears
Now your debts are in arrears
Grab the living by the hand
Tell them you still have a plan
Even beggarly and small
somehow rise above it all
Be the salt and not the dross
Claim the win and not the loss
Someone needs you to be strong
Fake it, make it right or wrong
"Till you really reach the place
where you learn to turn your face
to the only one who knows
how your inner garden grows.

Come, Let's Play

My hand’s outstretched, within your grasp
So hold it, please, and take it fast
Allow it not to hang and wait
                             Destined to a lonely fate

It reaches through a thickened haze
Calling you out for welcoming days
Needing to feel you take its hold
                       Releasing from its bitter cold

Our friendship waits for new day’s sun
To bask and play until the day is done
Then, in sleep, we’ll continue play
Until we rise on sun’s new day

A Prayer for my Wife

                           A Prayer for my Wife

Now I’ll tell you all the details if I can keep from sheddin’ a tear
Last night when it got late and really quiet around here

I got down on my knees, crossed my heart and began to pray
And in the darkness between me and God, here’s what I had to say

I love her so much Lord and I just don’t know what I’d do
I’m afraid that she won’t make it, that’s why I’m coming to you

Here with my heart open, at your mercy down on my knees
I’m begging’ you with every heartbeat, Oh Lord hear my pleas

I don’t know what your plans are or what you have in store
And I know I don’t deserve her and that she deserves much more

And don’t misunderstand Lord, I don’t assume any obligation
For your bounty in our life has exceeded all our expectations

But please allow her to live and me to be a part of that life
And I swear I’ll make this beautiful woman proud to be my wife

And if it’s not in your plans Lord then I pray that you take me instead
Cause’ I can’t live without my love, I’d be better off dead

And no excuses for my past Lord, but I’ll do better than I’ve done
I ask you only this, my lord, in the name of your Son.

I wiped my tears as I said my amen’s and prepared myself to stand
Stepped up next to your bed and began to caress your pretty hand

I stared off into space as all the memories came flooding in
Reliving each and every moment, over and over again

And as the first rays of sunshine, streamed in past the curtain
I felt an overwhelming peace calm my mind and ease the hurtin’

I felt compelled to kiss you so I pressed my lips to your face
And it seemed the room was filled in the beauty of God’s living grace

And you slowly opened your eyes and smiled for me to see
And I knew the Lord my God had given my sweet wife back to me

Ethan Allen

Now 1738 there was born a man...
'name of Ethan Allen; his craw full'a sand,

Faced up to the guvenor of N Y, State..)
The green mountain boys would be part of his fate,

He took fort Ticonderoga as the hour grew late
This man of destiny; standing up to the plate,

As demands of imperial power hit nerves rubbed raw
Self-determination the watchword by tower and shore,

This flame a'burning makes its seat in their hearts
People "taxed over wars" wishing now to part,

The rest is history "how they made their stand..
Forced into conflict that led to freedom unplanned..!

Sara Kendrick's Heart

Her family struggles as many Americans do
But in tough times, Sara always extends a hand to you

After reading her poetry, I knew we had to meet
How could anyone hold so much love and speak in words sweet?

I haven’t a clue how she manages to show such care
Where is this well of hope Sara taps when she offers prayer?

Could it be she has a clear, direct line to our Father?
Each time a poet asks for prayers, for Sara it is no bother

Where does she find the strength to pray for people she’s not met?
A special chair in heaven waits for the Soup’s fine poet

I’m mystified by this lady whose strong faith I envy
But one thing is for sure; Sara’s heart is never empty

The Homeless Are Human Too

Imagine a vagrant...asleep on a bench
Imagine his body.....alive with foul stench
Picture this if you can/his life in the past
His mother a drunk, his father lives fast
Cast from his home at a tender young age
Still going to school at the puberty stage
Thrown to the streets to live as a bum
Nobody caring/his future looks glum
But, The Homeless Are Human, despite disbelief
Most even have Wisdom, bring comfort/relief
So, when you start thinking they belong locked in a zoo
Just remember my Friends....that this could be you

Clowns In The Garden

Last night I bore a troubled heart
And prayed the Lord His peace impart...

And dreamt I then of fancy things
Of angel's wings, and Queens, and Kings

Of pirate ships and maidens fair
With emerald eyes and golden hair...

Then, flying there on wings of thought
       Was quickened homeward sleeping brought

And woke instead to cold of morn
   With worries lurking still forlorn...

     Then, while sipping coffee's wake
Did by the garden respite take

And playing there I spied two fox
   like stooges wearing reddened locks...

I prayed the Lord to spare my grief
And woke today to comic relief!

Machu Pichu

A staff is more than handhold, its worn
to the grasp, trust in what fell down from above.

The llama's sure foothold fits like our staffs
in the rocks climbing upward to the top to the sky.

We risk the blaze of sun, for the wide wings of condor
soaring, spiraling, hunting for a meal, never assured

except for his hold on the sky, flight, supreme
over the rocks and tumbles and worn out straw

of season of cold passing into days of warmth.
The spindle clatter, the roil and curve of weft needle

a prayer to on high, like the spirals of rock to the sky
the sun speaking to us at feet, these are complete

to the rest and remain of our escape to safety
in the cradle of our summer retreat, waiting for stars

to fall among us, waiting for stars to carry us away
from homes built within a circle of spires, three spires

to bring the ley lines of power into our grasp, to offer
escape from the dust and dung we live in, amazed.

Get It Flying

Try try with all our might
This time may we get it right
Another day does come
Still we are all thumbs
Is getting this done right
Really going to be our blight
Another chance is all we ask
Leave other tries in the past
Stop wait are we going to fast
Another let down have we cast
Oh my what a beautiful sight
Finally we learn to fly a kite

A Pocket of Sun

Flying through gray clouds, visibility nil,
Then a pocket opens up, you feel a thrill.

A rays of sun filters it's brightness upon you.
Giving you hope that the skies will become blue.

Such a small thing, a bit of sun can spell relief.
On vacation you need sun to swim in the reef.

Standing on the sand, I'm looking up to the sky.
There are more sun rays than gray, my spirits are high.

Give Them A Miracle This Year

Two teachers were given this precious gift, with your guiding hands. One daughter they named Mali and she has all your lesson plans. To choose the best for Mali, with all the fear and doubt you raised. This gauntlet that was posed and run is a testament of their praise. They have surmounted each obstacle and hurdle that was made. With fear and doubt they have fought so, she won't be dismayed. Lets pray, a long life for this child, breathing this earths fresh air Creating a deafening echo from all of us repeating the same prayer I'm seeking a miracle for two teachers, a parents simple request Mali wins life after BMT, defeating Hurlers Syndrome, is my request That these two children grow together to live a long and happy life Would be Grandpa's wish for his Christmas, in this world of strife

Cactus Heart

You would assume I am thirsty in this dire heat,
Or that my needles would cause others to quickly retreat,
You would conclude that my flowers were only for show
Or that if someone didn’t water me I would never grow,
But what you don’t see in plain eye sight
Is that I am flourishing with waters of integrity and might,
Under these thorns you call choked up defenses
Breeds the strength to survive all forms and pretenses,
To you I require little maintenance… but I know better,
I know how to absorb all I need in good and bad weather,
For I was strategically placed in this atmosphere,
All I need dwells in my structure enabling me to stay clear
Of beasts that lurk when sandstorms arise,
When mirages start to mesmerize,
When signs and wonders appear in fallen skies,
And soldiers forget to break ancient soul ties,
I stand my post and flaunt my spikes,
A cactus heart survives all flights.

Gold Fish and The Frog

There was a Goldfish who thought he was a shark.
He kept biting the lily pad of a Monk Frog.
Behave said the frog, for you are no shark.
I can if I want, said the goldfish, if you are a Monk.

The goldfish kept attacking the lily pad with ardor and spunk.
He wouldn’t be gainsaid on being a shark.
As the Frog studied relentlessly to become what was wont.
Neither one believing the other… could become what he did want.

Now along came a snake to eat the monk frog on his ark.
But to him… this lily pad was sacred, and he didn’t want to disembark.
So the goldfish attached a leaf to stand straight up on his back…
And as he bit the snake’s tail the frog hollered SHARK!

Pandemonium ensued as the frightened snake did run off…
Thinking it’s better to be safe, than as some one else’s dinner doffed.
So some how, together they both became what they did want.
Living happily ever after, as friends in that great lily pond.

The moral my friend is you can be whatever you want.
Still, don’t stop as the path becomes hard, that you sought…
For if a gold fish can become a shark… and a Frog a Monk…
Then with work and friends made… you can become whatever you want.

Morning glory

For the hills they undulate and roll,
Set beneath a crimson sky.
Image liken, to castle ramparts past,
Now slowly worn away with time.
For only seconds before the dawn,
And the mighty sun to rise.
Once more its rays to warm the earth,
And ascend into the sky.
For little bird how sweet you sing,
As you usher now the new morn in.
From branch to branch flit to and fro,
Along the leafy wild hedgerow.
For amongst the green, a dusting fare,
Of pastel shades of color there.
For gentle are the flowers that spring,
Who’s petals blossom like fairy wings.

The Pleasure Has Been All Mine

< I have dipped my pen in the sublime, it's my gift to you
Now use it wisely and write about some captioned caught views

thus that of an snow-capped mountain with an eagle that soars
or white sandy beaches where ribbed tides rolls back to it's shores

maybe stars and moon dance reflecting off stilled bay's port
in ones head you must determine choice of words to now sort

from beautiful to just pleasure does not hit it's mark
beneath recant memory that caused the ignited spark

observer of denial you can not destroy ones voice
within pens stroke there comes a poet with another choice

seize the day and come bow to the chosen word of the day
dont let an overpowering object just get away

Remember Spring

When the snow begins to fall and its chilled outside
Our spirits begin to fade like a misty tide

It's hard to keep our head and chests up high
We want to lay in beds and do naught but cry

But we should remember what comes after the snow
The sprouting hope of the rose petals show

That happiness can be found inside a soul so cold
One that has found that it feels way too old

So smile today, and smile tomorrow
On memories of spring, we borrow

This Righteous Reign

There is a place where deserts bloom and loving is the law
Where miracles are commonplace and sorrows come to fall

When desires flower amidst the fields of singing lily throngs
And sin, with its razors edge, is a foregone ancient song

It is a place by streams of life, where marigolds do thrive
Where misty aqua canopies supply pleasures to our lives

Then luscious verve and greenery on mountaintops do grow
And pleasures we past put aside, no longer do forgo

Here, patchwork friendships sawn asunder are seamlessly re-sewn
And trees of men and sapling sons for times long lost atone

Oh, how I long for these dear times when nations breathe as one
When frozen tongues of languages have melted in the Son

No pain, no sickness, no sullen thoughts - no lurking death to fear
To see the work of one’s own hands, for all eternity to cheer

This passionate air, this prospect true, this paradise re-claim
Oh, how I strive to walk the path to see this righteous reign

Spritual Gangster

You don’t want to miss this
But don’t be confused this aint Christmas
You’ve gotta get real my brotha and kiss this
I’m a spiritual criminal with lipstick

If you’re lucky you just might make my hit list
Coz I’m a murderer killing *****es ego’s with fake riffs
If you’re a moral criminal and do the minimal you can’t hit this
We must stand together my brother to beat this

Pleasure - pain, generosity - blame, loss - gain infamy and greed
It’s not hard don’t get angry and there’s no need to bleed
It’s just like John Lennon said when he said love is all you need
Stand with me my friend and let go of fear if you want to be freed

I’ll mind punch you in the heart and give you a soul diss
Aint no big brotha gonna hold me and frisk this
You’re not lost or all alone coz my arrows fire straight and can’t miss
Things aint changed and love can still fix this

Pleasure pain, Generosity blame, loss gain infamy and greed
It’s not hard don’t get angry and there’s no need to bleed
It’s just like John Lennon said when he said love is all you need
Stand with me my friend and let go of fear if you want to be freed
Love -love- love is all you need

A TIME TO EVERY PURPOSE

l ... l l ...
when seasons fade to autumn then bloom to spring and in between a tick gives birth or dies to a winter sun, life’s seasons change from laughter to tears like a wing accepting; just as one begins, its ritual is almost done. Then back around again and again with one more swing as the hands of years’ journeys are fast-forward spun. Whether crimson trees , snowflakes , ruby fire or rain, each cycle has a timely walk through breath span’s lane. A time to mourn, a time to dance: there is a season; embracing the heaven's compass itself without reason.

Life is an Aventurous Squirrel Run

I have my Hubby’s steadfast belief in me.
He loves how my poems are light and airy.
He’ll give me an idea once in a while…
Then he escapes to come back, later to read my new child.

He calls these run-throughs a squirrel run.
For they can take off in directions, yes, any one.
Crazy thoughts become crazier still…
And story time leads to god knows, where they will.

My thinking is kind of like chasing around a tree.
You never know where the end will be.
But somewhere I eventually become truly still.
And that is where my Hubby adds into the trill.

Then the squirrel run begins again…
Light and fluffy and full to the brim.
Each day a new adventure... waits around the bend.
Live it. Love it. Write it... You'll be happier in the end.

Life

A vague vision suppressed by my pass life
my future seems blurry, yet rich and enhanced by my present life.

Life as a student as taught me so much
To hate and to love, and even not to trust

I've learned to take life just as it comes
with the up hills and the down hill and the crazy things it throws

I long to be accepted but instead I get
the oppose of what i lust

I trust no one and I've never believed in love
i create my destiny and I can mold yours to

And that's because I'm you
I am others just like me

And I am who I want to be
A blur yet making an impact on the life of others

A silent partner climbing the hills called life
taking on that everyday strive.

Star Light Star Night

Star Light . . . Star Night

Gazing at the dark sky backdrop on this cold black night,
We are enraptured by the radiant view of bright Star-light.

This is a wondrous sight to behold by all on this Star-night,
Reflecting all earthly things gracious, grand, and right.

The cold beckoning blackness of this very special night,
Serves as the cosmic palette for unlimited points of light.

The enchanting Star-light on this marvelous Star-night!
This Star-night reflects God’s heavenly-made Star-light!

At once we realize the divine dichotomy between light and night,
On that mystical, magical eve filled with God’s Star-light.

God himself implores all who see His mosaic of Star-light,
To ponder ever gently too the dark beauty of His Star-night.

Oh! Radiant and grand Star-light on this most special Star-night,
We are forever spellbound by your God-given glorious sight.

Tee shirts and jeans will just have to do

For now I tend to be running a little late

Life in focus

The wind doth brace my body so,
As I stand astride the moor.
Invigorated by its feel,
To the sky an eagle soars.
For what splendor and sweet freedom,
Will my soul, feel such happiness.
Given all that’s gone before me,
So much sorrow and unrest.
Oh to see the sun at daybreak,
At dawn the rising mist.
To walk barefoot on the dew tipped fronds,
And to know that I am blessed.
For upon my face the warming sun,
That leaves a kiss with such caress.
Flowers with scented blossoms lie,
On their petals my head I rest

Fur Ball

< my little girl came to me and asked for a pet
to me my heart just hasn't been quite set

but who could resist those baby brown eyes
and all those little wimpers and desirable sighs

so off we went in our broken down wagon
where the rear end you could tell was sagging

to petland is where we went
                 pocketbook really took a dent

odie and garfield was their chosen names
two bunny hampsters very different but the same

oh my little girl was not yet done
said mama we need hampster ball so they can have alot of fun

and don't forget their bedding liners
so their living will be much finer

but first you must buy them their cage
oh my little girl is quite smart for her age

she knows they like fruit and snacks
so she doubled order with ten sacks

ring ring ring ding ding ding
did it's cash register ever so did sing

                   eighty five fifty
                   well ain't that nifty

                   handed lady one hundred
                   mumbling under breath was said

                   left store in a hurry
with our clothes looking so dam fury

Three Bricklayers

Three hard-working bricklayers were once asked what they were doing.
Their replies said a lot about them and the goal that each was pursuing!

The first answered, "Well, I am laying bricks, as you can see!
I strive for perfection and for a fair wage, a days work I'll guarantee!"

The second retorted, "Well, I am making $17.50 an hour!
I've been a mason for twenty years and have a heap of staying power!"

The third replied, "Well, I'm building a cathedral for the glory of the Lord!
I strive for eternal significance in all I do and expect little worldly reward!"

All three were doing the same job, yet each had a different point of view!
Perhaps the moral of this tale is to strive for eternal value in all you do!

Don't Lose Your Will

What happens when you lose your will?
When the thrill of life spills out of your heart
When the world seems like you're living in the dark
What happens when you forget to pay a bill?
And you don't know what you'll eat today
But you go to work and smile anyway
Who will care when you go to bed sad?
When your head hits the pillow, won't you be glad
When the day is over and you can reflect
On your life and dreams that you can protect
Then God enters your dream and you have a healing
The next day you realize there is a new feeling
Your heart, your soul are in a positive space
The sunshine is beaming off of your face
When you lose your will and don't know what to do
Trust in the Lord because he loves you.

Spread Your Light

It doesn't take much, but more than a little,
to reach out and solve sin's riddle.

The sadness and pain that blankets this Earth,
will Never be as strong as Jesus' Birth.

God, we know that we're Never Alone,
so let us be Filled, your Holy Spirit in our every bone.

You are the Faith and Hope and Love,
and let us share it, straight from Above.

In the end, all that will matter is You,
I pray that we may share this Truth.

Help us to spread your Joy and Selflessness,
and find Balance and Purpose.

May we have your Divine insight,
and all of our life,
Spread Your Light.

He is {our dearest friend}

He is everything good inside you and I
The alpha and omega the earth and the sky

He forgives our trespass as well as our thoughts
Don't get confused for he can't be bought

He is the planets as well as the stars
I first found him inside prison bars

He is all that has been or could ever be
The sun and the moon the sky and the sea

He is the beauty we see in a flower
He created the universe with all of it's power

He is the teacher who teaches us best
He forgives us our sins and offers us rest

He is the one who offered his Son
To forgive us of things that we have done

For he is love in it's truest form
The comfort inside that makes us feel warm

He gives unto us the right to choose
The ultimate choice of win or lose

When you feel lonely and full of despair
Comfort is waiting in a single prayer

He is the one thing from which we can't hide
For he is the spirit that lives inside

He is the beginning as well as the end
For he truly is "our dearest friend"

LITTLE STAR

Twinkle, twinkle little star
Shining down from afar
Guiding the wise men with your light
To the manger on that night

There a sleeping baby lay
On a bed made of hay
His parents did their best for him
When told there was no room in the inn

From such an humble birth he rose
And gave his life for all of those
Who believe and heed the call
To share the greatest love of all

Let's try to put Christ back in Christmas
He's the reason for the season

-To Live And Pray-

On a brisk 2008 & 2012 Winter´s Day
Americans voted and joined to pray.

Changing its history
  for a better humanity.

Freedom´s regal souls
  braved 2 days so bold!

Renewing Dr Martin L. King's dream
uniting an American nation it seem.

A day etched in infamy
  for all humanity to see.

Brave Americans
  taking a stand
  on its blood soaked land.

Satan in-verse

Compared to a snake that slithers and slides,
A tongue with a fork, he hisses and hides.

He's patiently waiting, he envies our death.
A mind fueled by sloth, and wrath on his breath.

He traps using snares, with sin as a curse.
He's evil and sly, his charm is rehearsed.

We're tempted by lust, gluttony and greed.
These actions are food, he needs it to feed.

Preventing the peace, his mission is clear.
To cause us all pain, our joy is his fear.

He covets our souls, to pride his command.
To enflame our hate, and rule as he planned.

He's tortured and burning in fires below,
A place for the wicked, a place without snow.

Deciphered as Lucifer, an angel that fell.
Only Gods' chosen people, the righteous prevail.

Prayer through kindness, and loving with care.
Shining swords of the saints, thrusted up in the air.

Seagull and the Penguin

A sea gull flew over the ocean admiring his reflection every day.
Passing over the shore, he saw penguins at work and careful play.
What an ugly bird they are he suddenly proclaimed.
They can’t fly and still they strut… know they no shame!

One day the gull was swooping down angling for a fish…
When suddenly an orca whale knocked him in the briny brink.
Snapping and churning the orca would soon have his way.
The gull was surely lost, if he could not gain the air to stay.

Moments before the whale pod arrived the penguins chose to assist.
They chose to distract the whale, giving the gull a chance to resist.
The orca didn’t care which meal he had as long as there was one…
He finally beached himself upon the shore, and still he hadn’t won.

At that point the gull realized, the penguins were really seriously cool.
They could certainly fly in the water, if maybe not the air to rule.
Now friends for life… he would scout for them safe passage to their fish.
Indeed, the gull flew away that day a little wiser, knowing he’d been remiss.

Everyone in life is different. He surmised… It’s not a choice they’ve made.
But now he knows each demands respect… in their own separate way.

A New Dawn

A New Dawn in His Glory
  foretold in a biblical story

Coming for those preparing
  skyward we will be starring

Like descending parachutes
  sounds of trumpets and flutes

Captivating our hearts
  giving us a new start

A New Dawn is coming
  listen, nature is humming

Idelology clashing blows
  a tale between 2 foes

Revelations foretold a day
  when more begin to pray

World events getting crazier
  humanity's future hazier

Waiting on ONE to stop this mess
or, were we just another lab test?

Design Yourself

Start as a blank canvas

This is where you begin

Take a few pencils

And colour yourself in

Add to it every day

The shades of memories and actions

Make it something beautiful

And ignore any distractions

Add a few blank sheets of paper

Your regrets can be an art

Spattered paint in the form of past choices

Spills the colours of your heart

Soon your canvas will be full

When it’s time to leave this earth

But ask yourself a question

How much is your canvas worth?

Falling Apart

Sometimes it doesn’t go the way
You thought it would at all

Sometimes the pieces all line up
Though randomly they fall

Sometimes I guess you’re better off
Just following your heart

Cuz sometimes it can still work out
Though you’re falling apart

Tactless Travel

Let’s travel to the edge of the earth

With sunshine in our veins

Let’s see how much this life is worth

As we leave out all our pains

We’ll go for miles, and we won’t stop

The sun will soon attack

Our lives we’ll trade, our hearts we’ll swap

We’re never coming back

A whole new start, a second chance

Floats softly into June

We’ll wade our time in cheap romance

As we howl at a transient moon

An ice cold flood of independence

Forms our own wicked sense of style

Our world needs more transcendence

This world just needs to smile

The ringing in our ears is no longer just a sound

The image of freedom is no longer just a dream

Because this limitless world is just a playground

Or so it may seem

Bear and the Mocking Bird

Should I? Could I? Would I? The teenage bear was getting nowhere, fast.
He wanted that big salmon that had come up the falls, almost to his grasp.
But the current appeared too swift, for even a bear as strong as him.
Still, that salmon’s presence mocked him; he was dinner on the fin.
So as the bear lumbered out, a mocking bird suddenly began to mock…
“You’re going over the falls in one more step. Stop! Think! Think! Stop!”
“Didn’t your momma ever teach you even one simple little thing?”
Now, he had left home because his Momma had always told him what to do.
So he turned to the bird and growled… “Why should I listen to you?”
The bird mocked back… “Because you don’t stop and think things thru.”
Then, at that point the bear slipped, and almost went over the falls, it’s true!
He heard the bird mock, “Stop! Think! Think! Stop! Listen, you lumbering brute!”
Angrily and begrudgingly, he admitted the bird was right: a plan was due.
So with a branch he sent the salmon down to the bottom of the falls below.
Then, later with dinner replete, it was now time for dessert to bestow.
So he decided to visit the berry farmer and plunder most of his crop.
Again the mocking bird hollered at him. “Stop! Think! Think! Stop!”
“The farmer has a dog and gun! If you destroy his summers’ crop…”
“A bearskin rug will be your fate. So Stop! Think! Think! Stop!”
After 3 or 4 more times at mocking… The bear finally gave in…
For each time he had mocked him… He had also saved his life, again…
Since he had left momma behind, he now realized that he had done nothing right.
And though they were both rough, tough, loners: they still became strangely tight.
So in the end, they became fast friends, with each one helping the other out…

The moral to my story is: there’s a friend that can understand anyone, even you.
Friends don’t have to be beautiful or popular to be true and help you thru.
They are all very precious and none should be thrown away.
For you’ll need all their understanding to help: see you on your way.

A Piece of World Peace

Close your eyes and imagine this-
Paradise in a place of bliss.

World peace in a piece of the world.
Without loss and bombs never hurled.

Snow that falls that doesn't freeze.
Sun that shines that doesn't cease.

Fields of green with flies of butter.
People that laugh and never mutter.

Manners are common and minds are at ease.
People are thankful and always say please.

Lovers with a flame that doesn't smolder.
Aging in years but never look older.

A land where the forever is real.
A scene where the sick always heal.

Throbbing aches and pains that never hurt,
Families and friends that never dessert.

As impossible as it all may seam,
Welcome to the place where I dream.

Seeds

Seeds

Everyone deserves peace, love and happiness
In this world full of wonder and blissfulness

Not everyone embraces their hearts desire
Many chose to walk through the blazing fire

Peace, Love and Happiness are seeds waiting to be planted
Seeds that should never be taken for granted

Your destiny is in your hands
Plant your seeds wisely, take a stand

Your roots soon will follow
Choose peace, love and happiness today, not tomorrow

Beneath The Tree

A tackle trunk beneath a tree.
It's knurled top a bright red-brown.
A rod leaned up against it's side
bought at a store from the next town.

A magic moment held in time
by elves for parents that I pride,
but not for gifts at Christmas time;
for thoughts abound and in their stride.

The tree Blue Spruce with silver boughs
seen standing still in vacant air.
The room aglow with warmth and wishes.
The first to view as though a prayer.

Believe and Forgive

Introduction: Sometimes your life sinks down a little,
And when it does try and fight for Islam and have faith in Allah,
ask for His divine guidance, believe and respect everyone,
don't hold any grudge against someone,
forgive them and surrender completely to Allah
And believe in His graceful light.

Don't fall apart,
When light fades away
Look deep in your heart,
Allah will aid your way

Nothing feels wrong,
While nature sings song
Days go along,
Until we're gone

Don't deceive,
Just learn to heed
Do believe,
And you will forgive.

Polar Bears And The Penguins

Some times they say the great and mighty do fall…
And the penguin story of greatness, should be heard by all.
Polar bears are mighty and cunning with massive brute strength.
But they messed with the penguins, a mistake, I do think.

The polar bears went after the penguins and cute little chicks.
So you’ll never guess what those cute little penguins did.
Using the most courageous penguins as a target so nice.
They lured all the polar bears, for the first time, out onto the ice.

The greedy bears moved out in force for the kill.
But the penguins pushed the ice flows into the currents windmill.
So intent on dinner and full of themselves, were they that day…
That the polar bears didn’t notice the ice caught in the currents sway.

The polar bears were way out to sea, before noticing their plight.
And, by then, the penguins were safely at home tucked in for the night.
You might say, the current was a friend to the penguins that day.
For it eventually sent those polar bears to the North Pole far away.

Now the moral of this story is here to easily understand.
Brute strength is not the greatest thing to cherish; it is far greater to plan…
And, never turn your back on a penguin I say.
They’re the reason there’s no polar bears at the South Pole, to this day.

Where inspiration comes from - Contest

From hearts and flowers
the gaps between thoughts

moments within hours
gifts given and bought

dew drops on lotus leaves
skeletons of fish

smiles of old wise men
a reality from a wish

deep ocean currents
volcanic lava and ash

letters from the postman
a sudden increase in cash

a photographic image
words jumbled on a page

the formation of clouds
a bird outside a cage

sweet laughter of a kiddie
sad cries from those who’ve lost

hard lessons learned
and the price that it cost

spectacular sunsets
to snowmen who melt

rain dripping from gutters
life’s cards you’ve been dealt

My Dear Women

You are a chosen woman,
Made with power, style and grace,
God looks for opportunities to put a smile on your face,
With victory in your veins,
You can conquer and obtain,
When the pressure gets to hot,
Remember Jesus has been in your spot,
You are special and unique,
All you need to do is seek,
His mercy and understanding,
And you’ll see it’s His love that’s handing,
You, all the strength you need for this life
Don’t fight or seek out any pointless stife
Rejoice in justice and relax in peace
For when it’s over you will feast
On eternal blessings and everlasting love
From the one who lives up above
But also lives amogonst our hearts
Don’t ignore or tear apart
The special gifts inside of you
To his will you must be true
And when the battles overtake
And you feel the earth under you just shake
Know that you are never alone
You’re a special creation being sown
In the Potters hands there can never be a clone
Be the best you that you can be
And watch how your life will be filled with ecstasy
Watch the enemies of your soul permanently flee
As you walk in your full destiny.

On the Beach

Welcome to my house on the beach,
Where there are condos for $5 each

I, for one, am an interesting figure,
With my siamese fish who likes to paint pictures

And my single daughter Rosie,
Who's immune to posie

This place is somewhere with two sides,
You live your life first, and after you die.

I died at thirty-eight
From tripping down stairs just after I ate

Welcome to my house on the beach,
Come on inside and we can enjoy a peach!

I WILL GAMBLE

If I am to be, I must become.
This is because I am strong.

If my life is meaningless, why do I strive for more?
The highs and lows of life keep me focus.

If I am discontent, I must define eradication.
The fight against social injustice removes this procrastination.

If when it rain it pours, I must assure I am secure.
The way to riches, I must discover.

If frustration is visible, femininity forms.
The world tries to suppress a real woman.

If a beautiful person is said to be, why is this negative?
The quality or nature of me brings a green-eyed monster looming.

If it is time for my swan song, I am not singing.
You old in mind before you are in body.

If is a big word,
I will gamble.

Angel Mythology

From the dream of a mage
Here comes the Ice Age
The unforseen illusion
That gives birth to abusion
Bringing upon humanity
A new mentality.

And in this dammed night
When i had slept so tight
2 wings searched the sky
For humans not to die
They searched for the sinner
The infamous beginner
To alter his mentality
With her sexuality
But he sleeps so tight
She can't bring him light
So she enters the dream
Where the 2 will sin

In a world of light
Full of pleasure and delight
A boy fights with might
The beast that took his light
The boy was bitten
He almost got eaten
Helpless in despair
The boy had to be cared
She flied low
Feeling the flow
Saving the boy
Bringing him joy.

In a green forest
A boy and a girl rest
The wings not to be seen
She fell in love with his sin.

Spiritual Fruit

In the Bible, we read of God's LOVE
It fills us with JOY from heaven above
Whispering sweet PEACE to us like a dove

With PATIENCE we wait on him to come again
We mirror His KINDNESS from within
Our GOODNESS shows if on Him we depend
FAITHFULNESS assures we'll never forsake Him
the GENTLENESS of a lamb to us He has given
SELF-CONTROL brings us closer to heaven

These spiritual fruits are of the sweetest sort
Savor them and keep them always in your heart
From our Savior, you will never be apart

Oh, What Love

Oh, what love Jesus has for you and me
Oh, what agony He endured hanging on the tree
Calling to His Father, sending up a prayer
Forgiveness for the two sinners there

Bleeding from His head, His side, His hands, His feet
He could have had His army of angels come defeat
Those who doubted and mocked His power
Denied, forsaken in His lonely, final hour

Infinite love, mercy, favor comes from His heart
By grace we will be saved, to never be apart
By Jesus, our dear Savior, our ransom was paid
A loss of one dear soul, His life He wouldn’t trade

On A Side Note

On a side note...
There's coffee to breathe,
The taste being strong like heath,
As the clock ticks,
The time pauses; sticks.

On a side note...
The sun is up and shining,
The fresh smell of lining,
Holds the morning breeze,
Ignoring each sniffle each sneeze.

On a side note...
The birds are singing,
The love keeps on bringing,
More snowflakes fall,
As the degrees start to stall.

On a side note...
The blankets bring heat,
Each song plays on repeat,
The melody so clear,
Praying for loved ones to sheer.

On a side note...
The children play with imagination so bright,
The parents work out of sight,
Making money to show,
Each season down, as the next to go.

On a side note...
Life isn't too long,
Hold each day being strong,
Keep everything positive; each thought,
For it's winter season; soon to be hot.

A Young Girl's Acceptance

August 13, 1965

Wearing a new, starched and ironed dress
She went to the meeting to confess
She had heard the gospel preached and learned
That her way to heaven could not be earned
She was covered by His loving grace
She felt a tear slip down her face

And they sang, “Softly and tenderly, Jesus is calling”

She sat through the sermon that night
Anxious to do what was right
To accept Jesus as her Savior, so true
To step forward because she knew
That the time for waiting was done
Believing on Him as the only One

And they sang, “Calling for you and for me”

When the congregation rose to sing
The invitation song that would bring
Sinners to kneel at the cross and pray
She stepped into the aisle right away
The preacher took her hand and asked her
What is it you seek, what are you after

And they sang, “Come home, come home, ye who are weary come home”

She said, “I wish to be baptized” with a sigh
Have my sins washed away before I die
Arise to walk in a newness of life
I want to be baptized into Jesus tonight
Her teacher came and helped her prepare
Her family and friends were waiting there

And they sang, “Earnestly tenderly, Jesus is calling”

Into the baptisimal water, she did go
To have her sins washed white as snow
She confessed that she believed He was
The Son of God come to earth because
A Savior was promised and He did come
Bring salvation to everyone
And they sang, “Calling oh, sinner, come home”

(inner sight)
-Of Mind´s Eye-

*dedicated to all poets.

In silence our inner minds
  motionless trying to find.

In space dark as night
  our spiritual inner-light.

Spiritual vibrations beyond self
  where only "I" is left.

Flowing with the rythmn of humanity
  far unscathed by mankind´s insantity.

Observing man´s struggle, love and hope
mentally noting in poetry for some to cope.

While earth pulsates in chaos
  amongst GOD'S heavenly stars.

Poets receiving mystic portions
  about humanity across oceans.

Bathing in moments of stillness
  celebrating HIS wilderness.

From an inner zen state to see
beyond sight of you and me.

What I see when I read other peoples poems

When I put myself in the reader’s shoes,

My mind it unlocks my heart becomes fused,

So many paths are written about,

Some with emotional pain, fear and doubt,

Some just admire love and the rain,

Some people’s words are written in vain,

Whatever the journey I can jump right in,

Words have no boundary’s they start where my eyes begin,

Echoes of sadness transfer through to my chest,

Welding the pieces of alone and depressed,

Confusion and clutter glued to their verses,

Lyrics and styles some blessings and some curses,

Some intellectually murder expression,

While others navigate me through lust and obsession,

Some make declarations, oaths and pledges,

Language can break through all previous wedges,

Others can take me back to long ago,

During wars of succession that troubled them so,

Drifters and seekers,

My fellow poets are speakers,

Unraveling time,

By a single rhyme,

Just like the lyrics of King David,

Heartache and trouble can leave some jaded,

But when others can take that journey with you again,

All from a poets notebook and pen,

The past comes alive and the present becomes real,

Dirt roads aren’t as scary and soldiers finally heal,

Our souls become one by the words we do speak,

So take time to read another persons week,

For their lessons may be the energy that saves some youth,

Their story’s may be the emotion that engrave in your heart truth,

Take a moment to walk through someone else's mind,

There is no telling what you will find.

I do not know what tomorrow will bring

I do not know what tomorrow will bring
But today, oh today, just let us sing

Songs of life and all its creative potential
We are spirits born of something truly transcendental

In the world, not as one, together we all live
We feel the pain, we feel the joy; we take and we give

Some are bad, some are worse, but we share the same soul
To see past form, the transparency of life, some strive for this goal

We are alive, not then and there, but here and now
But perception blinds us; only seeing what it will allow

We have so much more locked deep inside
We mustn’t be afraid, we have nothing to hide

For all hopes and sins are shared; part of the human condition
If we do not strive to grow, we will fight a war of endless attrition

Arrested development; so much potential gone unnoticed
We live in our habits and regret moments missed

If we go inside and nurture that strength
We can be calm in the storm, no matter the length

Discover what brings this out of you
Because it’s through action that makes this true

and the reunion will be nil

Come In, The Wind Dancer

Come in, you wind, please, settle down
Must be quite tired, all that rushing around!

Tell me a tale – oh, come on, dear wind!
Tell me what you’ve seen, tell me where you’ve been?

Yes, please come in, wind, to tell me a story –
Whatever you speak of, I know will not bore me

You’ve flown over here, blown over there,
Visited places no one would dare

You’ve traveled so near, traveled so far,
Say, what is it like to touch all those stars?

You can drip like the rain, rush like the water,
Cool things way down or make them much hotter

You come on in, my dear, dear friend wind
Blow right through my soul, cleanse me deep down within

Then, take me with you as you go, my dear wind
Carry me gently, pull me loose from my skin

Let’s dance windy waltzes as we swirl through the air
A lover’s embrace – feel the joy we will share

When our wind dance is over & you return me to human,
I’ll feel so much better, a happier woman!

Yes, let us go then, wind, you and I
Throughout the galaxies let us spread wings and fly

Across the blue, true dream of sky
Let us go then, wind, just you and I

Some Twilight

Don't let the disappointments show
Make them as soft as the snow

Gather all the courage you can
It will make you a real Man

Honour each and every one you meet
Let all the hate and horror retreat

Remember! God loves all his creations everyone everyday
Please don't forget to thank him in every way each day

Happiness is always around the corner
Trying looking at this world with honour

Your life is as precious as a pearl
Let it sparkle this troubled world!

The Blessing for My Book

As my job and health failed me... I dreamed to someday put together a
book of poetry and this will be the blessing it will begin with...

As I sit here weaving my poetry
Into the semblance of a book…
I find that I must ask Gods’ blessing…
For the journey, that together we have took.

I find I must bow my head in thought…
Over this book that together we have wrought
As my hands clasp oh so reverently and earnestly over my heart…
As I believe his help brought the words together that I sought.

And God set the journey that shaped what now before you begins…
He helped me find the words that reached through my heart to my pen.
I pray the poems will be worthy of what he showed me as my life’s art.
And upon this book I honestly pray that his blessing he will impart.

No, No, No

Mary, Mary, quite contrary said no too many times.
The boyfriend did cry foul, and left her standing in her prime.
But that’s OK I tell you, he wasn’t the right man to make a team.
And she was looking for true love, that illusive, lovely dream.

The important thing to remember is what this means to you.
Waiting can make sure that true love, is really, really true.

In Need

Living just to die is just too sad,
let us fight for the good and keep at bay all the bad.

Alone you are not, for friends you have my dear,
fighting together, right past and through the fear.

Time changes, indeed it does so,
so we must change with it and keep up the go.

Do not stand still, do not wait for a second,
time changes all and we are all at its beckon.

So fear not the marching on of time,
for you have a friend to be there at the drop of a dime.

A Hospice Transformation

death’s pain the grieving know all too well
but I’ve another story to tell

near the end of days my friends remained
where their dignity was not defamed

hospice visits may be sad for some
but that’s not true for the dying one

nurses and visitors brought them cheer
as the white light was edging so near

we held our tears and gave them our smiles
when their life’s journeys had fewer miles

the last farewell was finally said
we carried our sorrows to our bed

but the hospice offered another round
volunteering – a chance to rebound

people in hospice like to listen
a smile sometimes, or tears that glisten

stories of romance, life and heaven
I’d read to them each night at seven

so quickly I came to realize
folks need escape, even in demise

the thankful expressions they gave me
made me feel like I’d won the Grand Prix

later I would come to call again
as Last Rites closed with the word “Amen”

letting go is just a part of life
but life’s end need not be filled with strife

revolution will

The revolution will come bit-by-bit
freedoms for securities, a stock split

The revolution will not be streamed
things aren't always what they seem

The revolution will occur in silent din
future different from what has been

The revolution will certainly be cloned
both rich and poor will be bemoaned

The revolution will not be boxed
change refuses to be outfoxed

The revolution will make us worse
and better too - our coin's obverse

The revolution will not be painless at all
but a deep gut pain in abdominal wall

The revolution will be bloody and clean
when we're overtaken by our infernal machine

The revolution will be from inside out
'cause that's what revolution is all about

The revolution will be beyond comprehension
when people point out, a point of contention

The revolution will not be equal for all
many will rise, as, many will fall

The revolution will not be streamed
The revolution will not be Tubed
The revolution will not be Twittered
The revolution will not be podcast
The revolution will - 'til next revolution - last

The revolution will be, in the long run, forgiving
The revolution will be -- in our living
The revolution will begin - and be, in you

Two Women at a Window, ca.1670

It's another mild day and the sky glows white
The air is still and cool as the midday light

Admirers giggle, perhaps at a young caller
One hunches over, the other stands taller

They don't look wealthy, yet they don't look poor
Perhaps trusted servants, but what can't they ignore?

They've taken jolly notice, as if on a whim
Of a miming youth who should be pruning a limb

Posted at the window the younger one peers
At this croaking lad, flattered by what she hears

Hunching near the potato patch across the way
He waves in a fluster with a few word words to say

He's glances side to side, behind the wall, stepping back
Emerging again from a passageway's crack

Between the tool shed and the gardener's house
He sneaks with the startle and twitch of a mouse

She remains calm, though tickled by his manner
For he might as well wear a bright purple banner

The older woman chuckles in faint squeaks
Hidden by the shutter around which she peeks

The younger one looks quite near seventeen
With floating white sleeves rolled up yet clean

Her girlish neckline, cut wide and low,
Displays to her suitor how well she can sew

Her hair is tucked with a bow on one side
Her grin is reserved with her eyes opened wide

Could her silly boy still have his pruners in hand?
Is he skilled with the saw and tilling the land?

Two women at a window, quite content
Is this how many of their moments this day are spent?

Thrice-Time Tllings

Sweet angel bells caress the air
With tlling, tlling, tlling

Thrice they chime their gentle tllings
Then thrice again once more

With fluted softness, the tllinging brings
A chorale of soul-lights – Heaven sings

Thrice they sigh their gentle tllings
Then thrice just as before

And me? So sad? Such a sad, poor thing
Am soul-brushed - . tlling, tlling, tlling

Brought home to life, come home to love,
Throw wide my stained glass door

As hummingbirds, afloat mid-air
Still their rainbow wings

Astride the currents of the thrice-time tllings
Transformed beyond their core

New Beginning

Introduction: It’s a piece dedicated to the lullaby of a different kind. It’s something which has happened to many out there, but the experience is distinctively significant…

A priceless surprise, silenced all in its tune By a soft heavenly cry, from the delivery room Only a few hours was the night; so young Where for the first time, she opened her eyes, While by her side her dearly loved one For the last time, closed her teary eyes Father held her near and resounded to her cry; But all mother could share was, this lullaby – The long last beep from the ECG Echoed her heartbeat…The last goodbye Happiness and sadness broke through the night With streams of tears for mother’s plight; She never had the chance to hold her close But left precious prayers that never left her side As she came down to their hearts Her soul flew up high apart, The transfer of two lives through one, Their journey was complete and done Caught within that reverie He conveyed the Azaan through her ears, In the wake of such irony He fell down to prostrate in tears When all hopes seemed to end, father’s prayer did transcend O’ Almighty became her closest friend and had for her a Grande plan, Under HIS mercy and HIS guide, she flourished through the darkest nights To a new beginning – she set off to write.

Rhymes Are Fun

Anytime I rhyme, I climb, ascending higher and higher
It clarifies life, it fuels my fire

Words constantly cycling through my head
Some I made up, most have already been said

Like: feather, wall, brick, or tambourine
Question! How much for that submarine?

Back to el point; writing, specifically in rhymes, purifies my mind
It centers my soul, bringing me closer to the divine

To anyone without a Father

Fathers are the foundation for a child,
Their role is far from mild,

So many children grow up without a dad,
Deep inside it scars them bad,

So many daughters are never raised,
They lacked the encouragement and emotional praise,

Daughters need to be shown how to be treated,
So when they grow up they don’t become defeated,

Son’s need a man to look up to,
Someone to help push them through,

So many sons never learn how,
To stand by a woman and what it means to keep a vow,

Generations repeat when they don’t get to see,
The impact of a father and how positive it should be,

However, there is a Father that won’t go away,
His loves is like the endless sky,
He is the love that will never leave you or tell you a lie,

He will warm you up like the blazing sun,
Protect your life, and he does not need a gun,

He will wipe your tears when you are down,
He will calm your fears when there’s no one to be found,

His mercy is as deep as the ocean,
He will make you smile, while your going through lifes motions,

He will encourage you after you made a mess,
Then turn it around, and give you his best,

He will never leave you nor forsake you,
This kind of father will never break you,

A Father to the fatherless,
A Friend to the lonely,
A Love that’s pure and never phony,

So if you are alone on this Father’s Day,
And you have an earthly dad that caused you disarray,

Look up to the heavens, far past outer space,
And know that there is a Love that no man on this earth can replace.

Superhero

My muscles ripple
Under tight red shirt
As I saved the cripple
Lying in the dirt

My eagle vision sees all
My ears all to hear
Everyone seems so small
From way way up here

My powers are stupendous
My might so very strong
My impact quote horrendous
Arm of justice very long

And as I touch the small hands
And take him into flight
Over green hills and lands
He dips just like a kite

As he looks into my laser eye
He sees his superhero fly
With him far above the sky
Forever there, forever high

And I the superhero dad
Think of the grandest times we had
When those small eyes looked up to me
To defeat all bad
And to set him free

A Poem For The Erudite

A Poem For The Erudite, it sure will be hot
Take the time out to listen, rubbish it's not
Straight from the life of a perspicacious young man
Try and comprehend it...I sure hope you can
There's a lot I can tell you, but I'll make it laconic
Words to astound/it works like a tonic
But, it all isn't good, I'm sure you'll agree
I robbed to support crack, went on a spree
Nonetheless, I must tell you about erstwhile things
About Cause and "Affect" and what it all brings
It started with punishment and led to abuse
Stomped, punched, and kicked like a piece of refuse
That was at home, a total nightmare
Told my story to many, few seemed to care
Yet, at school it was different, oui, au contraire
There were many happy times, but, in all they were rare
Still, to escape from my father, a partial reprieve
An escape so traumatic, you can hardly conceive
Fascinated by study, entwined in my thought
Trying to achieve, Knowledge I sought...
Then came junior high school, another hill to climb
Still, being abused....now etched deep in my mind
Then came the reefer, then came the coke
Life became heavy/like being grasped with a choke
Playing hooky from school to hang on "The Deuce"
Leaving sadness behind/youth on the loose
Coming home at all hours, high on the drugs
Fending off admonishment/not verbally/with shrugs
Now, we come to part of my Crack addiction
On a mission to " Scotty"/incarceration/great friction
On a mission nuff years, retaining intelligent potential
Well, I couldn't lose everything, the mind is essential
But, through all this in prison, you can't know my chagrin
For nothing egregious/no unredeemable sin
But, remember I told you about Cause and Affect?
Recalled in my poem, I helped you reflect
Being abused was profound, a real heartache
There were many times I thought, my life I would take
But, instead I turned to crack/searching in vain
I know to crack you say/how gravely inane
Yet, there's a moral to this story/my life in review
I was abused and kicked crack....and you can kick too

Be Yourself

Believe in individualism not compliance,
Etch your mark in existence with defiance.

You’re something special to behold,
Organise your mind and watch your dreams unfold.

Uplift disappointment with drive and ambition,
Reach for the moon and make the stars your fruition.

Sense the worth and value in your being,
Elevate cliché with a creative sightseeing.

Life is a big canvas for you to express yourself,
Find a passion and never let identity expire on the shelf.

Pennies from Heaven

Copper pennies she would save throughout her younger years,
to indulge in penny poker with her husband and her friends.

She’d tuck away her winnings in her special penny tin,
hoping each and every week that she would win again.

But alas her nights of poker would come crashing to an end,
with her husband’s passing followed by the death of poker friends.

She kept her tin of pennies for the memories they possessed,
their significance in her life was more extraordinary in her death.

For when she passed the hurt was so intense I could not bear,
for her gift of life to me was gone, my soul was in despair.

Then suddenly without warning pennies started to appear,
strategically left in places to remind me that she’s here.

The places I have found them are remarkable I attest,
like atop of my salt shaker, for to her salt was the best.

I found one on my keyboard as she knows the time I spend,
working diligently on a computer from morning till day’s end.

Of all the twelve I’ve found so far, the most incredible I think,
is the one left on my birthday in the center of my sink.

For each one I receive I thank my mom from deep inside,
For sending pennies from heaven makes my aching hurt subside.

This story is quite sincere, so I felt it must be told,
As all my pennies from heaven are as precious as pure gold.

Mountains High, Oceans Deep

Ankle deep water, ebbing, seeping
From melting ice to flood is leaking
To form a rapid river flowing
Ounce by ounce this stream is growing

To wash into an oval pool besides
Then rush to meet the rising tides
Of oceans deep and full and wide
Where froth upon the billows ride

Upon a yellow sandy shore
Where shells collect up by the score
Displayed in jars in seaside shops
Among golden pears and red gum drops

From mountains high and oceans deep
Where eagles soar and dolphins leap
From high above to down below
So much beauty to love and know

Smile

Some days when you feel everything is going to be alright
Then something comes along to make you feel uptight
Whenever this happens, I try to put a smile on my face
And like the song says "Just get back in the race"
A positive attitude helps when your feelin sad and blue
So just keep smiling, be positive, and all good things will come to you

Hawk and the Sparrows

The hawk was flying low: he was the fiercest in the sky.
He bullied all the little birds, and flew off with their lives.
The little birds were peaceful, and didn’t want to fight.
To them it was better: to run and hide, then finally to take flight.
Day after day he drove them closer, to the proverbial, final brink.
Then came the day, they rose up, and no more away to shrink.
Soon there would be hatchlings, so the bully, simply had to go.
No longer were they timid, it was their time to truly show.
Banding together they hatched a plan to run the bully day and night.
One can fight, one or two, but a mob shows way more might.
Constantly in pursuit, the bully was never allowed to rest…
The bully finally admitted defeat, and even moved his precious nest.
He could not protect it, if they kept him running away, and stressed.

The bully had finally learned the truth: that is my moral here…
The small may look an easy mark, but are not as helpless as they appear.
If the meek are brought to their knees… look out my bully… dear.

A Steel Flower

Once I was naïve and innocent
And believed that everything was Heaven sent
I was like a flower – soft and gentle
Open to the slightest breeze’s pull
I grew in unbridled sunlight
Where everything was perfect and right

But then there came the long, hard frost
And in an instant life was lost
The will to live vanished so fast
And I became nothing but a steel cast
A cast of what I once was
My wounds bandaged with metal – not gauze
I became resistant to the breeze
Nothing seemed to put my soul at ease

But I chose life over death
And continued to take in deep breaths
While no longer so easily swayed
I haven’t lost all of my old ways
I’ve learned it’s not always wise to hide
And have come to embrace both sides
Of my life and who I hope I’ll become
Without forgetting where I’m from

Just a Little Something-Something

In a world with so much life and culture,
All you need is just a little something-something

It's better than a whole lot of something,
Because then it might be too much

Like love,
All you need is a sample

To realize
It isn't the only thing to make someone happy

And if they think it is,
All they need is just a little something-something

Tell them they're better off without
Another terrible heartache

That there is nothing more better than being
Free from the name, "So-and-so's girl"

All they need,
Is just a little something-something

It's The Beauty Inside That Counts

Beautiful people
Under God's steeple

Just reach out
Stomp Holler Shout

Let one know
They're Loved So

Inspirations Aspirations
Show Em Representation

Tell Em their doing a great job
Never call them a big fat slob

Lend them your ear
Help wipe their tears

Illuminate their thoughts
Help them with their sought

Open new doors
Let less fortunate sleep on maple floors

Spare a dime
For you commuted no crime

Break bread if you must
For in God we trust

So beautiful people shine on
Come join all in this Heavenly bond

Fearless Point of View

The fear of failure got me scared,
like my talent and God are not really there.
Constantly drowning in a sea of doubt,
as I’m afraid to tap into my potential and rise above the clouds.
Inside me, personal ignorance builds a wall around my mind,
blocking the streams of light that stop me from walking blind.
But what fear fails to learn,
is the self-taught courage that frees me to yearn.
The will to thrive beyond the worry.
and the humbleness to know; I’ll never be God
but I shall forever succeed through His glory.
The future is an unknown place for me and you,
but we will make it through,
if we always keep a fearless point of view.

Have Some Gumption

A cheater never a winner was.
An honest man earns his great applause.

Bootlegged words make confidence schism.
Stealing verses denies truth's wisdom.

Writing one's best makes ideas glisten.
Expressive minds hope people listen.

So go ahead, have some gumption.
Live life golden; ascend con's basin.

Deceit never did bring satisfaction.
Observed ideals take positive action.

The harmed forgive, though it is not easy.
A higher order shows loves flows deeply.

One should never choose to plagiarize,
Not while thoughtfulness remains alive.

All the little Pieces

"Fragments and crumbs of life, all the little pieces"
Brought me to a cemetery that had many creases,
I walked the graveyard of my mind last night,
I saw many people sleeping tight,
I saw the ones that made me smile,
I saw the ones who were part of my biggest trials,
I saw the failures of my past,
I saw the sorrow of a childhood that went to fast,
I saw the liars who stole from me,
I saw the heathens, who lived lives that were empty,
I saw the chameleons trying to blend in with the bareness
and vulnerability of winter trees,
I saw all those who listened
But silenced my innocent pleas,
I saw the aisles of fragmentation,
Broken dreams and manipulation,
I saw the wrinkles and the tares,
From having a father who was never there,
But then I saw amazing grace,
Shimmering under a mercy tree,
I realized that all of those stones,
Had made me what I was called to be,
Each plot was responsible for a certain quality in me,
Allowing me to be able to identify
With others drastically,
I saw the days of evil tightly bolted down,
I saw clarity, which was once lost
Now completely found,
I saw the page turn
As the past had been burned,
I saw Gods presence filling up
Every area where I yearned,
I saw a radiant light pointing far ahead,
Directing me out of my mind
Resurrecting all that was dead,
I saw those doors to that cemetery close very tight
As I continued towards what was extremely bright,
I felt an unusual grin,
Overwhelm me from within
I saw an extraordinary flower,
Come forth with might and power.

Healing a Broken Heart

When the broken heart becomes lost and sadly will not mend, in grief, it crawls ever weaker needing help to ascend For if the trodden heart does not heal, it will surely die love showers will bring rainbows when raindrops cloud the eye The hopeless will need passion, the soul cannot abstain a broken heart can mend when it feels love's embrace again After the chill of winter, the earth needs the warmth of spring as the doleful heart in silence soulfully desires to sing Prayers will lift the broken heart with God's strength and healing touch the clouds will part, the sun will shine, God's hand the heart will clutch The spirit needs uplifting; give comfort to a forlorn friend With abundant love, hope and friendship, the heart will surely mend By Rhonda Johnson-Saunders, March 17, 2012 for the How to Fix a Broken Heart contest (Michael J. Seeking perfection (not to mention) he fights the infection
That tries to stop his ascension (to the far dimension)
In silence he screams
He, who has the big, bad sins

An angel seeks his long lost soul,
For him in order not to fall
With the power of the gods
He survives against the odds

A She is created
To fit the unrated
The wish to fulfill
The dream to come still

Beyond, there's nothing more
Purity has lost his soul
Seeking desire
He has fallen into fire

Intense the burning hits his soul
In his hell he's gonna fall
From the dream he shakes and wakes
To take a bath and learn for math

Troubled youth

Troubled youth, there is hope for you
Eyes are shut, blinded by ridicule

Troubled youth, your world has changed
Living in times that are very strange

Troubled youth, it’s time to wake
I know you’re sick of all the fakes

Troubled youth, they tell you such lies
Even in music, you get hypnotized

Troubled youth, your wounds are deep
Only God knows all the secrets you keep

Troubled youth, those who were close to you
Forgot to tell you that dreams do come true

Troubled youth, you just yearn for someone who will be there
Listen to your heart, and let you simply share

Troubled youth, you want us to look past the front you play so well
listen to the stories that you desperately need to tell

Troubled youth, I know a friend that sticks closer than a brother
Even if you don’t have a mother,

Troubled youth, this someone will hold your hand,
When everyone else just doesn’t understand

Troubled youth, raise your head high,
Call out far past the clear blue sky

In His name,
There is no shame

By His power,
You can bloom into a flower

Troubled youth, don’t give up
God can surly fill your cup

Troubled youth, life can get real scary,
In those times remember He promises that He will carry.

My India

India is famous for its food and spices,
but from some years it is facing some big crisis.

Many people's thinking here is still orthodox,
And politicians here only know to do high talks.

The things for which our country today is known are only poverty and corruption,
Not for all around the country free and comolete education.

The political parties here just want in the parliament a seat,
And they never see that many people in the country has nothing at all to eat.

We have to today develop in many spheres,
And have to make sure the people herd for this country really cares.

My country is the one who has a great history,
But why everything is so expensive is a major mystery.

Our country has seen many great personalities,
Those were the only people who showed us the world's realities.

I also respect of my country's ethical cultures and traditions,
These are the secrets for improving our country's conditions.

India's best thing is it's people unity,
Can throw out any damaging material we all have such high immunity.

For the fact that I am an indian I am really proud,
And this thing in front of everyone I can say out clear and loud.

Beauty and longing
Joyful belonging

Where hides one's desire
To reach ever higher

Soulfully soaring
Released of all mourning

Spirits rejoicing

Loving and laughing
Freed at last grasping

Truth beyond fear
Forevermore basking
In Love's Golden Garden

Snowfall

He had seen a lot of it
In his lifetime growing up here

Gently falling snow
All about the roads and fields

Each and every year it comes
Gentle and unexpected

Just like tears of ice
Somehow misdirected

He often wondered
How each year it looks so new

White and frozen, crystalline
A winter’s rendezvous

Looking out he wondered, how many
More years he’d live to see

The snow, like feathers falling
With pleasant urgency

Many stories ran through his mind
As he watched the winter’s rain

Of car rides, and family trips
of life lived through a windowpane

Memories of his so very special
now and long ago

Captured in the falling
Of precious, newborn snow

When God Made a Woman

When God Made a Woman
~*~
Steve L. Siegel
November 20, 2014
~+ ~
To my loving wife Sally Ann
 When God made a woman

I am so thankful that when God made a woman,
From Adam's ribs that before He made her
That He also added a bit firefly spirit, a touch of
unfiltered love that goes right to the man's heart.
~
That He also had time add that composure,
Made her little stubborn at times;
That to make us men behave, so badly,
That she'd get what she wanted in the first place.
~
However, He also added a soft spot in her,
Her heart always had room for her children,
Yet there is just enough room for her man,
She would show him her passion from deep within.
~
But, don't let another feline try getting near her man,
Her claws would come out, taking on any who wanted hers;
God must by accident took some man's backbone to put in her,
Because once she is in love, she'll try anything to keep him,
Fully to her alone; so there's no looking back.
~
Yep, I am glad and thankful to my Lord
That He chose to use a part of me to make a woman,
And that He lead her to where I was,
That between the two of them I now have this grand wife.

The Rubber Ball

Have you ever bounced a rubber ball?
The way it bounces back off the wall
There is a simple truthful fact
Harder you throw - harder it bounces back
Sometimes things are clear to see
As I’m the ball the ball is me
Sometimes life can be real hard
As the dealer flips another card
The devil attacks in many ways
I have seen some real hard days
There is truth in the things I write
Devil and I are having us a fight
Just as the truth is the honest fact
Many times I’ve bounced right back
I wrote this poem with a smile
See I like to go that extra mile
I have found in the prayers I pray
I’m a rubber ball who is here to stay

I wanted to thank you all for the prayers.
I woke up this morning pretty optimistic
about everything that is happening.
I reckon the Lord will have my back.
You know thats a real good feeling
something I dreamed I could say.
May God Bless Us All !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feeling of Love

The thought that hardens thoughts
perhaps a feeling from inward wrought
men losing heart to think
when she pass no desire to blink
is it that she is fair
the entraping darkness of her hair
describes my soul in ways
the emptiness and infinate haze
could she ease this feeling
if only by her heart revealing
or by her fair smile
that can draw out my pain a while

Can I hold your body
tightly held will make a melody
as harpists play I weap
hoping love into your essence seeps
and from liquor stained tears
your heart will know well my deepest fear
being here without you
love or lust to you I shall be true
and with my eyes teary
my whole body poisoned and dreary
but when your in my arms
I love you loving my heart, my charm

Prelude to a Dream

In the hazy, scarlet radiant glow of evenings dusk
When the air is filled with the faint allure of musk
Before the first stars of twilight begin to shine
And a balmy summer breeze feels so divine

Amidst the ebony silhouetted branches of a tree
Where fluttering birds both wild and truly free
Sing passionate songs as they retire for the night
And fill the air with intoxicating voices of delight

The seduction of a cascade’s calming tune
Reflecting the first light of the rising moon
And the whisper of a soothing murmuring stream
A tranquil lullaby and prelude to a dream

And as the light surrenders to the stars
To galaxies far beyond Sun and Mars
The delicate memories of day begin to fade
Until slumber overtakes the serenade

Free Hearts

My sky is black and so is yours,
The cold sea rushes upon our shores.

I love you dear, we'll run away,
We'll run until our heart fades grey.

Their love is lost but ours is here,
We'll save our love throughout the years.

And as we confess our true love,
Our black sky stares from up above.

The sky is jealous of our pair,
She's jealous of the love we share.

But she cant hurt us, don't you see,
We'll run away until we're free.

Wake Up Sleepy Head

Pegasus of thy night
Take me away from this eartly plight

Lay down your golden reigns
Let me climb aboard your mythical train

Stars and moon's cresant's dance
Illuminating to others who gets this chance

Gold dust sprinkles in your hair
Closed eyes for take me there

Up Up and away we go
Pegasus take it nice and slow

Lustrious valleys and sno-capped peaks
Sparkling blue waters for which I seek

Just you and me my mountain friend
Taking this journey till the very end

As I lay my head upon your shoulders
For I feel their turning so much colder

Cannot feel from my head to foot
This dust sprinkle had turn to soot

I'm decending fast and furious
Woke up from dream being more curious

WE CAN BE VICTORIOUS AS CHRIST WAS

Did He die in vain, leaving no visible trace to remember Him by?
Did He fall into Satan's deceitful trap and let him continue to lie?

We can be victorious as Christ was and become immortal,
let the evildoers destroy themselves with deeds so immoral!

Did His deviate from the holy path and be easily deceived by false glory,
no, He did not give into the Angel of Darkness, but resisted with hostility.

We can be victorious as Christ was...truly divine and humble,
let others mock us with their irrationality, we will not tremble!

Did He speak against the tyrants of His day, to be praised for being bright?
No, He did not...but with His whip He cleaned a temple so impure and dark!

We can be victorious as Christ and be part of His prophesied kingdom,
and marked by true modesty and humbleness, we'll lose our humanism!

Did He want to die as an impostor to satisfy the ego of a would-be God?
No, He did not seek glorification without merit and be called the Word!

We can be victorious as Christ was by denouncing all vanity and wickdeness,
not being crucified on Calvary as He was, but be resurrected as Lazarus was!

A Dad To Remember

You are a special part of my world
You have been since I was a little girl
You'd pick me up when I would fall
If I needed you, I knew I could call
As I got older and went to high school
I had some rough times, but you kept your cool
You always worked hard to give me the best
You did lots of things with little rest
No matter what, you've always been there
To lend a hand, to show you care
So many times you've gone out of your way
To put a smile on my face and brighten my day
Although you're very far away
I think about you everyday
I've loved you from the very start
You have a special place in my heart
Distance can't break the bond that we share
Not as long as we know that we both care
I wish I could hug you, I really do
I hope you know how much I love you

Congragulations

Excitement is running through my mind at this point,
It is hard to control so much

When something so honorable,
Happens to come across

For me personally,
It was the proposition

From a contest by,
World Poetry Movement

In which I entered in,
And received a letter back

Stating that my poem,
Had made it to the next level

But that is not all,
Oh no

What's more is that they informed me,
That they were publishing that very poem

In a book titled "Stars In Our Hearts"
Which is to be published in August this year

I hope each and every one who happens to read this,
May read my poem "The Beat of the Heart"

In the book.
Thank You.

GOING WITH THE FLOW

It's hard sometimes to go with the flow,
Patience makes it easier, this I know.

We need to relax and slow down,
I get too busy, this makes me frown.

Acceptance and love are a good start,
A peaceful mind helps a loving heart.

Children can be trying at times,
This is when I write my rhymes.

I like to get on my knees to pray,
What a good way to start out the day.

Feeling peaceful is like the calming seas,
Patience is what brings me peace.

Life is not always fair,
God's love is always there.

Money

With muse in hand
How do I make one understand

I love colors of shaded green
Does not make me nasty or mean

For it's in our lakes
And even in things that we bake

It 's canvass for our trees
Even sometimes stains on our knees

There's hues of bladed grass
Where we have all plop our ass

Even passing clouds
Looking purified and aloud

So here I'll stand and raise a toast
To the color green on money who everyone loves the most

Poetry

Poetry is a world,
Pure and innocent as a pearl

It is form of view,
That is only seen by a few

Poets can unfurl their truths,
And don't need to support it with any proof

It's a place where the grass can be blue,
and broken cell phones can be transformed into glue

Where the sky is yellow,
And people rejoin with loved ones within a sweet meadow

Where flightless birds are given the sky,
To hop out of gravity and just go up and fly

Poetry is a world,
Pure and innocent as a pearl

Follower - REVISED

I was a follower
A coward,

Just trying to fit in
In this busy, busy empire

Then I met a person,
who believed she had it all
not in the bad way, as you would suppose

She gave me some advice,
Can you guess what it was?

Simple and plain,
Just powerful enough:

She said if you hold your head up high
But not so far
That your nose is in the sky...

If you're proud of what you acquire,
Your confidence shoots higher

If you speak up, voice your opinion,
Let people know that you’re not just another minion...

If you be who you want to,
And forget the people who say it’s not you...

And if you are kind to others,
Especially your mother

YOU are a leader.
You ARE a leader.
You are a LEADER.

If you stand up for the people that you may not even know
Tell that ignorant harasser just to get up and go

If you know where you should be,
There’s a whole lot you can see

If others think you're worth nothing,
Show them they’re wrong by saying

“You're wasting your time by trying to waste mine!”
And just walk away

Make sure to tell them
That

You’re a leader,
But what are they?

Forest Faeries

Hidden among the foliage of the giant spruce trees
High amidst the branches where nobody sees
Dwells lively little faeries of the dappled forest scene
Dancing in the sunlight and the deep and leafy green

Entire faerie gardens filled with hope and peace
Dancing in the shadows and flowers so cerise
Following the dirt roads to a place that’s so serene
To the crossing of the rainbow to places yet unseen

Conjuring up their magic to make wishes all come true
As they dance and run and flitter in colors they imbue
Blowing wonderous spells in bubbles far and wide
Being ever ready to be with you at your side

Only if Lady Liberty Came to Life

She has stood gacefully in the harbor for years.
She witnesses the peoples happiness, defeats, and tears.

This lady definately has a lot on her mind, she definately has a lot to say.
The very momnt they end this war, will be a great day.

We must unite as one, together we all stand.
She encourages you to join her, it's easy, just take her hand.

Only lonely cold nights she had conversation with the man in the moon.
His face full of worry, and he wished our soldiers would come home soon.

She will continue to hold that torch, this being our guiding light..
She will stand for equality, and for all that is right.

She may be a statue, but she has watched over this country for an eternity, or so
it would seem.
She stands proud to represent the people of the United States, and the American
Dream.

The Value of homelessness

Just because you have no home,
Does not make you any less,
You are still apart of this human race,
Whether you live in a mansion or a mess.

It’s such a shame to see your life go down the drain,
But you still hang in there strong,
You drench in the cold rain,
While singing your hopeful song.

I sometimes think of what you would have been like before,
I suppose no different to who you are today,
Material possessions can't make you any more,
They just get in the way.

It’s not in my hands to rescue you,
Though I wish it could be,
Remember I’m the one who is trapped,
And you are the one who is free.

At least now you know the value of a stone,
The pricelessness of a crumb,
The fear of being alone,
Facing the end, if it shall ever come.

But one day your dreams shall build your home,
Then your sleepless fearful nights will be gone,
But in the mean time you keep hanging on.

Johnny 's Song

He was born to sing upon his land
Now he's resting in God's Everlasting hands

Didn't matter who you were
That voice you'll remember for sure

A voice that could shed many a tear
Or make you just want to stand up and cheer

Oh how'll I miss this one hell of a man
Made me today of who I am

Across oceans far and wide
Johnny sang his songs with passionated pride

Now he soars amidst his eagle friends
High above the rockies bends

Oh Johnny this song's for you
As I sing about your eagle friends too

To the New Year

Our goals are simple and easy to acheive
Anything is possible as long as we believe

We'll live our lives free, with no reservations
Spur of the moment, without any hesitations

This year will be better, things have to improve
We'll buy a new house and take that exciting move

We'll walk down the aisle surrounded by friends
Totally spoil ourselves and indulge in the latest trends

At the end of next year we'll look back and say
We did it baby, good things actually came our way

We'll finish the year with an ear to ear smile
Everything we've been through will finally become worthwhile.

The Valley

I will lift up my eyes unto the hills from where my help comes.
                                         Psalms 121

Today a shadow crossed my path and I entered a valley deep.
A dark cloud blotted out the sun as I began to weep,
Feeling lost and all alone, a pilgrim plying in a foreign field,
Struggling onward with my load, at last my soul to yield.

Demons of depression shrouded my joyful countenance,
Wallowing in self pity because of dire circumstance.
I had but to lift my head for the sunshine to return,
Look unto the distant hills for which my soul does yearn.

My heart has been shattered and I care not to tarry here,
Consolation not forthcoming from earthly means, I fear.
The only solance for my despairing soul must come
From heaven’s King of Glory and His Holy Son.

For the hope of salvation, I must lift my eyes to see
Yonder hills of glory that are beckoning to me.
A mighty wind has risen in the valley where I walked.
Jesus whispers softly, “My child, let’s have a talk.”

To Him I go willingly, into his waiting arms I step.
Cast my cares upon Him, from Him will come my help,
“Savior, Oh my Savior, this pain, I can’t withstand
In this valley I am walking, I have need of Your hand.”

“My child,” He said, “I have been with you all along.
I am always here to carry you when you are not strong.
Put your faith in My Father and let go of the stone.
With His loving guidance, you will never be alone.”

Dancing in this Heart

I dove into the darkness for I wished to see
If the life on that side was the life for me
I tasted all it’s pleasures let them consume my mind
Turned my back on all I loved, left those I loved behind
It started like a dream that filled me with a dance
I was completely captivated by the dark romance
Everything that ever was truly seemed to be
Out there for the taking waiting just for me
I ran long and I ran hard strutting through it all
Let my soul pay the price behind a prison wall
I was just a simple wizard caught up in a game
Just incase you don’t know Jughead is my name
I have made my enemies and I left my ghost
I have taken Lucifer and nicknamed him the Host
The Host of Addiction is it not clear to see
Everything about that word spells misery
Then one day I met someone met her just by chance
I soon found myself lost to her seductive dance
In her arms I met someone who had been buried on a shelf
As I traveled through her soul she introduced me to myself
We noticed in other’s eyes a tiny ray of light
As we found in each other the will to try and fight
I dove into the darkness for I wished to see
If the life on that side was the life for me
In that life I met someone who taught me to dance
Then led me through darkness into the light of romance
That is why today I write for her this little rhyme
Letting her know she is still the dream dancing in this heart of mine

Ones Own Dream

Whispering tinkles speak to my soul so clear.
Curving styles go past as I watch so sincere.
Restful unbroken missions set my spirit free.
Rolling scents accentuate emotions in me.

Scenes such as these are my haven from pains.
Emerging sprays from graceful heavenly rains.
Pouring down gently they separate the current,
In such a stylish way this halts any kind of torrent.

This stream that I call natures blessing these days,
Has a sanctification of its own in so many ways.
As if God has given consent for a miracle of peace.
To which has been shared with me in special release.

In dedication of the honor that I have to share with you,
Praising nature that he gave to me and everyone else too,
I write about my precious secret stream for all to know.
Revealing its location is to allow one and all to go.

Though there is not any one location that you can find.
There are many secret places where one may go to unwind.
All the wonders of nature drift along any brook or stream.
Anyone just has to take the time to find their own dream.

My Little Princess

Gotta go down to Heaven's Jublee store
To buy a speical gift for the one I adore

Doesn't matter if it's big or small
She won't care at all

Just as long it comes from me
I know she'll be totaly happy

Jenny is her name
So I have to think of something insane

Maybe a doll
Or some kind of ball

I know it's gotta be pink
Or she'll think it will stink

She loves the moon and stars
And how they twinkle from the galaxe so far

So maybe something glittery
For someone else to come see

Awe there you are
Hiding under barbies car

Aw shucks only one left
Someone could call this a theft

A bargin deal on this star shaped pillow
To rest her little head under our wheeping willow

Now to give it a name
Not to name it would be such a shame

So I'll call it my little princess of the stars
Because it fits her boldness by far

Meadow's Sigh

The meadow’s breath a gift to all, the misty mornings’ dew,
a silent sigh, a heartfelt call, a prayer to me and you.

So green and warm, and full of life, the forest skirt and the maids’ delight.
There rabbits dwell in lovers’ dells;A gauze filled dream in morning light.

So gold and bright, and full of life, the forests skirt and Knights delight;
The Dame and doe do lie, ‘pon hillocks high, where lovers sleep with passion's cry.

So white and fair, yet full of life, the forests’ skirt of pearly white;
Where burrowers sleep in bowers deep, and hearths light on winter nights.

The meadow's breath a gift to all, the misty morning’s dew;
A silent sigh, a heartfelt call, aA prayer to me and you.

Now, no green bloom, no home for them, the builders-men once more;
to take the glen and make man's homes, no deer will roam fourscore.

A meadow’s a home to many things, to bold butterflies and birds on wing,
Yet, few can dwell where men reside if forest's skirt, gives way to tide.

The meadow's breadth a gift to all, from sea to shining sea
America, a heartfelt call, a prayer to you and me.

winter scenery

looking out from my living room
into a day of gloom

watching old man winter's blizzard
inside warm eating my chicken gizzard

people dressed in layers
kids swirling in snow are players

the flakes come dazzling down
all over our country town

from tree top to tree top
ice falls with a loud pop

while the roads remain covered in snow
i wish we didn't have to plow- just mow

Will You Let Me Sleep

Violet hues
Birds in flight coo's

Starburst fashion
Sun's hot passion

Crystal streams
Valleys of green

Sno-capped peaks
Eagles that speaks

Call of the wild
Echoes of a lost child

Can't seem to wake
From this dormate faith

Have no fear
For vision is clear

Arrived at Heaven's shore
Was woken though by husband's dam snore

Important Of Music In Our Lifes

Important of music in or lifes
Helps sooths termoils of daily strifes

Flow and temple of boasted notes
Rythem and rhyme that continues to float

A song from an lonesome heart
Ignited by an passionate start

Fantasy of wanting to belong
In or named in just one song

Spirits can be held on high
And can almost make you cry

So tread on your walk of life
And enjoy the melody that cuts like a knife

its place

sentimentality has its place
it's in my heart, it's on your face

in an edict of government, for a hungry child
in the middle of nowhere, all windy and wild

it's in scraped skies over citied tall buildings
it's on the Louvre's walls surrounded by gilding

it's buzzing the field of breeze-blown wheat
at the photo-finish of a horserace dead heat

it lies with the dog quietly resting by the door
the cat's contented purr, the babies quiet snore

it's in the oven, warming with scents
it's under the tree, wrapped in presents

it's written in stories we've all known for years
it's in people you know in your daily spheres

it's right here, on this screen that you're reading
it's after, and now, and time since proceeding

it's in her hair, with its satin-soft sheen
her coy smile at you, if you know what I mean

it's in his brash boast with eased confidence
to do something of import with good consequence

it's kissing your lips, warm and alluring
it's filling your heart and quietly assuring

it's sunning itself, on sweating work days
it's enjoying each other in so many ways

it's in the glint of light shown on my eyes,
to this life lived full, and what it implies

The Perfect Place

I'm a born-again believer, saved by Yahshua's grace
Such contentment and heartfelt joy I feel while in this place

This place I speak of is in God's arms, wrapped so tightly around my soul
Safe and secure in His embrace, His love has made me whole

No other place I'd rather stay, for humanly fragile am I
To dwell elsewhere, I'd be a fool, exposed to Satan's lies

No one could lure me from this place, where it's so truthful and serene
Can't trade me tin for my piece of gold, can't tell me Spring's grass isn't green

Just so you know, there's lots of room, Yahweh's arms extend far and wide
He longs to include you in His embrace, It's the perfect place to reside

I'll Be Amazed

Come to me on this lovely day,
So that I may be amazed -

By the brightness that you bring,
That cause my heart to want to sing.

I want to see your glowing smile,
Yes, I hope you'll stay awhile.

Cause it is you that I adore-
And wish, soon, you'll open the door.

To spend this lovely day with me,
Oh, how exciting it would be.

For on this day I long to hear-
Your voice that sounds, to me, so dear.

I want to consume each word you say,
In such a caring and loving way.

To gladly receive your warm embrace,
Then kiss your tender, soft-smooth face.

And yes, I'll know without a doubt,
That love has truly brought you out-

To share with me, on this lovely day -
And once again ... I'll Be Amazed!

CONQUEST

My heart whispers...just one more conquest....
& it seems like a never-ending-quest...
Stretching for another mortal vanity....
Is just a kind of insanity....!

The heart is foolish...it does not know...
These conquests are stupendous structures of snow...
The harder you hold...the sooner they melt....
And in a moment...only nothingness is felt...!

Illusory glories are tantalizing...
They promise you almost everything....
You sacrifice your blood....your sweat...your ties....
& then you realize that it was, just,a mirage for the eyes....!

Weed And Feed

On my day's journey
Think going to a basketball tourney

Stopped by sisters house
It was as quiet as a mouse

Out in her garden she sits
Hoe claw and gloves of misfits

Peddle pushers to kaboot
Gotta love her for she's a hoot

She kept digging at those weeds
And filling the holes with new seeds

I asked if she was tired of this
She replyed no as she turned and twist

See hoeing your garden
Is like a life's pardon

You might say it's like losing weight
Shedding unwanted pounds you hate

The hurries and worries
Even if their some kind of snow flurries

As we laughed and cried
I felt more pride

For my sister did it to me once again
Helped me weed out my own garden from within

God and Nature Can Be Awed

A solitary man meets God
Beneath the moon on frozen sod.
Rock walls caress that quiet place.
Amid the snow and open space –
There, God can speak to heart of man.
Share great truths and give commands.
Each man who waits for Christ’s return,
Within his soul shall soon discern.
There is no place upon this earth
Where a soul’s growth has greater worth.
That pensive place alone with God,
Where He and nature can be awed.

Daisy Mae

My name is daisy
And I like to bask in sun and be just a little lazy

Yellow is my domain
Don't it want to drive you just a little insane

I am a world traveler
Dressed in many coated furs

I love to lounge by valleys and creeks
Even mountain tops at their highest peaks

Don't mind my matted hair
May be parted but its still has golden flare

Been stepped on one to many times
But I bounce back every time

Members of family had heads chopped off
By farmers who want to lower their crops

I love to play splish splash with the rain
Makes my fragrance drive one insane

I can even tell if you like butter
By holding me under chin like there's no other

So stop by and just pluck me up
For I just want to be somebody's butter cup

...even if it's not your style

Help them lose their attitude
...put them in a better mood

Just a simple "Hey"
... could make somebody's day

To see the joy you bring
...feels better than anything

A small unselfish act
...can have a huge impact

So give the world a whiff
...of your amazing gift.

Stand To Understand

All across the land
Many will not understand

Crawling like worms
Failing or discern

The reasons why the suffer
Know that you all are tougher

Dwelling in you He resides
Just asking you to abide

No longer shall the One tolerate
The time has come to obliterate

Spitting in this retort
You all have his support

Keep your reframe firm
Ignore all material concern

Just see things from his point of view
Then in you His Spirit will renew

Protected me and put me first
An angel put the ring on my hand

It's Whats Inside Of You That Counts

The true love of your heart
Now where shall I start

Mine comes for ones that are lost in storms
Or for children who heart's thats been ripped and torn

One may even say I had opened many doors
To let the homeless sleep on maple floors

Or they may say you were the one to spare a dime
But have commited no other such crimes

Then theres another that may say just get out of their way
And you reply with only have such a lovely day

For there shall be no love of another
Like your love you held for my passed sister and brothers

And that heart that was sewen unto you
Was woven by God's holy hands of skew

So the true love of your heart
Is what brought me here from the very start

Daffodil's Hope

Finding an image to focus on
My mind lifts my soul with song

Simple... my perceptions changing
Negative vibes rearranging....

Yellow daffodils spring to mind
So early a blossom, winter shines~

Sweet and hollow its trumpet appears
Soaking up sunshine as snow disappears

Crisp and bold flawless in scheme
Long winter's magical dream

Blossom Daffodil all around my lawn
Adamantly filling the crisp damp dawn

Boldly obvious blossoms in snow
Complicates winter with her glow

Daffodil arrivs at winters' end
Offering hope to a despairing friend

Test Time

My blessed heart
Where shall I start

I thank my dear Lord
For being my mighty sword

For fighting these demons within
Who try to make me faulter or sin

I thank the Heavenly angels above
For bringing me someone new to love

I thank family and friends
For showing me how to fight till the end

I feel blessed for the air I breath
Even if it tends to make me sneeze

I feel blessed to watch my child grow
For she still loves the way I kiss her fingers and toes

So when I'm feeling so down and blue
I recant back to things of being so brand new

So thanks to others whom I pass on these blessings
For the Lord will alway's do his own testing

Night Camp

On a dark dewy dampened night
Stars sparkle above my campsite

A thick brisk breeze blows through
Toggles my tent nearly in two

Hunched I stand to unzip me out
Tent too cramped without a doubt

Wind blows my hair against my face
Zipping it closed with precise haste

Stepping on top of fallen pine needles
Barefoot I pray there are no beetles

Marveling the stars unerringly strewn
Against a black sky accenting the moon

Inhaling the crispness of the night
Decreases my grief with cogent might

Exhaling those troubles kept deep inside
This evening drenches a dreary façade

Loquacious crickets chirp steady songs
Forcing resolve to end the day’s wrongs

The scent of jasmine lingering on
Allows my spirit to sing its song

Undoubtedly camping feels so right
On a dark dewy dampened night~

HEALING MIST

 HEALING MIST

All alone in the mist-covered mountains of home I feel
The delight of its mother-soft touch my wound heal
As a girl’s laughter sweeps over from the other side of the hill
And swirls around after in my head without seeming to fill
So for me the chill mist shall always float in my morning’s memory
An almost imperceptible light coat of cooling mystery
Though a lifetime separates me from the whisps of smirs
The mist removes the dessication of the years

smir is a Scottish dialect word for misty weather

Life is not a porn movie (2003)

It’s a fantasy! Wake up and smell the coffee!
There is life beyond your box and sticky toffee!
Get a grip and live like a real man should,
Theres gold, silver, iron then wood.

Most of porn is a forced labour,
There is no savoir,
On top there’s all cheers,
But look closer and the wetness is all tears.

Lust is a never ending well,
Love is the fire inside of a platinum shell
The well will never end
Lust has a mind that can never be your friend.

There is class and there is a cheap ass
Private moments are for your eyes
Watch it and contemplate
Then look at the poor reflection on your slate

Friendship

School is over and we're on top of the world,
Our futures ready to be unfurled,

Who knows where we'll be in twenty years;
Married and with successful careers?

Or deadbeats living on each other's floors,
There's just so many open doors!

But as one thing starts, another ends;
For fourteen years we've been best friends,

One summer more and we'll be dispersed,
But we're going to make some memories first,

These times will end before we know it,
So let's not waste a single minute!

I'm loving the rollercoaster ride,
As every day is spent outside,

And though it's sadly undeniable
That we are spontaneous and unreliable,

It only adds to the teenage thrill,
As all our wishes we rush to fulfill,

Staying out most every night,
Then dancing home at morning light,

Sleeping in most every day,
Sending waking hours into disarray,

Delighted smiles in impulsive filming,
Pure happiness captured as bonds are building,

And yet it's scary and sort of strange,
Not knowing how things are going to change,

But one thing's certain as round our necks
Our cherished friendship pendants rest,

As the dawn of a new era arrives,
We know we'll be friends for all our lives.

Private Session

As I sit here about to commit the most unforgiving sin of all
I close my eyes, take a breath and I think of your name to call

I ask for your forgiveness as I begin to pray
Eventhough I hear no words I know what you have to say

Our conversation became extremely emotional and I began to cry
I began to let out a lot of things I harbored deep inside

I pray that you protect the people I care about most of all
To give them the strength to stand up strong even when they fall

I then start to realize I have a lot of life to live
That there are still some people left that I have to forgive

Things I couldn't understand are very clear to me now
I would disappoint a lot of people if I were no longer around

You've helped me get rid of the pain and anger that once filled my heart
You've showed me that it's up to me to give my life a new start

I wiped away all my tears and decided to give my life another try
I can't believe I thought my only way out was to accept defeat and die

LORD, tonight I've learned a very valuable lesson
So thanks again for making time for another private session

Ner' A Hollow Morning

Hollow dense vapor sets along the brook
Never imagining dawn breaking in
Earth meets air and it's mysterious show
Stillness so still .. it feels like utter sin~

None could tame the unspoken vigor
Water meets Air above an untamed breeze
Justice is served Mother Nature's eager
Vernal life lines the brooks simplistic ease~

The breath of comfort calming and placid
Brook does not babble but silently flows
Nor is there a scene like this one today
Breathtakingly unique double rainbows~

If all nature is not a warrior.....
There would be rot in desolate spaces
How then could her graceful exterior
Know natures place is among these places?

When you're out walking in nature's way
Ignorantly avoiding her bountiful mass
Recall to your divine spirit that may
Murmur negativity away, be steadfast~

Forest anew with decadence steady
Society must learn to be ready for war
Mother Nature's ner' hollow but ready
Know nothing has ever stopped her before~

Over whelmed between work and home
Our minds all need some place to roam

Everyone feels hopeless at times
Magical words heal us with rhymes

We are divine, our lives are a test
Allow poetry to cleverly jest~

Witty remarkable writing indeed
Can sooth irreparable souls in need

motivation for women

Her man was not worth crying for.
She never shed a tear.
She showed him just how tough she was,
and she showed him she didn't care.
He was nothing but deceiving,
He was taking and receiving,
He was leaving her promises embedded in gold,
And she had believed all the lies he told.
He was nothing but a baby,
With his jealousy and rage,
He revealed to her his true colors of a violent tendency.
He wanted a mother for a wife,
She tried her best to impress.
His feelings of frustration did occur,
When his violence was unleashed upon her,
He put his last toe out of the line,
And that’s when she knew, everything would be fine,
As she finally threw him out of her life…

A Hearty Transformation

Hearty, fragile hearts so bold
Hearts of young, hearts of old
Hearts that breathe, hearts that think
Hearts that believe, hearts that sink
Hearts that see, hearts unkind
Hearts that feel, love that’s blind
Hearts that live, hearts left open
Hearts that die, hearts left broken
Hearts that weep, seeking peace
Hearts that race, hearts that cease
Hearts that bleed, hearts that felt
Hearts of steel and ice that melt
Hearts of stone and hearts of coal
Hearts of copper, hearts of gold
Hearts that ache, filled with pain
Hearts out singing in the rain
Hearts that fly, hearts that soar
Hearts that smile, hearts that’s sore
Hearts of home, hearts of hope
Hearts that struggle, hearts that cope
Hearts that share parts unknown
Hearts stripped bare, down to the bone
Hearts out loud, hearts discreet
Hearts that jump or skip a beat
Hearts that try, hearts that cry
Hearts that define all mankind
Hearts that stop, hearts that stare
Hearts that throb, hearts that care
Hearts that sob, hearts of prayer
Hearts of humans everywhere
Hearts of mind, flesh and soul
Hearts transform to make us whole

And the Whole World's Sweet...

In a burst of fellow feeling from the sunshine to the earth
ripened blooms to be revealing soundless voices yet unheard
as they seep into my windows with the sugar scented air
set to spark imagination with a certain savoir faire
I'm entranced beyond all vision thought to signify the spring
and I wake to comprehension and the stature that it brings
for I know the movement of the earth relates to every being
and I feel the warmth upon rebirth in saplings to be seeing
In a burst of live sensations from the sunshine straight to me
theres the marked deliberation to be floating, to be free
As the scent of passing flowers find their way into my room
thus the sunshine overpowers and desires every bloom.

Lilac Breeze

Early evening’s warm fresh breeze
Sented aroma adrift with ease

As afternoon sun melts slowly down
Day light concludes with a dusky crown

Evening beckoned me out for a stroll
Dainty placidness quenching my soul

A silky breeze makes my spirit content
Picking up lilac and trailing her scent

Sun dripping slowly down her pink sky
Eloquently melting as birds fly by

Enraptured by this lingering breeze
Relinquishes hope for tomorrows ease

Last 1 Left

Am I the last one left
cause all the world is a mess

I seek to teach my brothers
but they seek their own success

How can the people ignore
the hurting neighbor next door

They act like life is just that easy
when you're black and you're poor

So I prepare myself to fight
and get ready for war

For soon the sad will be the happy
and feel no pain no more

So with my very last breath
before I lay down and rest

I want to say that I feel
like I'm the last one left.

Spiraling Thoughts

So many thoughts in my mind,
only my Spirit can find

My soul is running a race,
I think I'm traveling in time

Our people dying so fast,
It seems nobody can last

How can the mourners rejoice,
if they're a sound with no voice

I hope to be a true light,
and only live for what's right

So all the people can see,
the way a leader should be

The only purpose of man,
is love and govern the land

But people love to go sin,
and do it over again

Until they look at the end,
and see there's no way to win.

I shall never

I shall never all this earth survey, nor acquire the leisure that I seek..
But if I take it day by day and keep the breeze upon my cheek;
Who knows… I just may.
I shall never all my friendships fulfill upon this great and gracious earth.
But if I am strong of will and toil at it from birth;
Who knows; maybe I will.
I shall never enjoy the entire splendor that God’s fairer creatures provide.
But if I don’t give in or surrender and all my beliefs I applied;
Who knows; I might be a contender.
If I traverse with utmost care and live the fullness of each hour;
and of sweet nature stay aware through sunshine and noonday shower;
Who knows… I may journey everywhere.
If the tallest mountain I should pursue or tread some valley woven with streams;
there is a chance before I’m through That I’ll fulfill my worldly dreams;
Who knows… it could come true.
If I discover just one pleasant place that to others has gone unseen; would not
the joy that I would trace urge me on and make me keen;
Who knows… I may win the race.
If I should ramble far and wide and embrace the plain and simple things;
If I did all this before I died, with gladdened heart and spirited wings;
Who’s to say I never tried.

Religions

Religions

The entire Budhist monk"s life is but a preperation,
For his Death Point or moment of seperation.

The Jains have santhara,
Quitting life consciously to join with the paramatma.

The hindus go into samadhi,
Where there is no Congress,Shiv Sena,BJP or Samajwadi.

The Christian merges with the holy spirit,
Peace no more desperate.

The sufi mystic to become one,
Dances, twirls, prays, trances to get the job done.

Aghora means illumined with light,
Longing for Shiva in whom they delight.

Shamanism or the art of ecstacy,
The ultimate being one with the super entity.

There is no need to change your faith,
And on your old religion lay a wreath.

Most Dear

Things worthwhile are clear to see
For the Son of God lives in me
To help his blessings cover my life
He provided me with a loving wife
It didn’t really start off that way
For years my actions took me away
To a place where I contemplated all my sin
What else you going to do up in the pen
The new becomes old and nothing will change
Unless our minds we re-arrange
To all my letters that hit the floor
I guess I needed something more
To my heart you are all that matters
For you I’d place my heart on the platter
I think in loneliness sacrifice is found
Why else would she have kept me around?
Through all the heartache and all the tears
It is my love I hold most dear

Let's Start Today

Let's bring into this world peace
So all these wars and violence can cease
Let's stop all this hatred
And give the poor and homeless a piece of bread
Let's start by changing us all and right from inside
And letting God be your guide
There's so much we need to change
Even if it looks and sounds strange
We can all start sometime and somewhere
By showing in everything that we do, that we care

Let's be careful in the manner that we speak
Let's be strong and not weak
Let's show this world, that we still stand strong and tall
Let's unite together with courage and tear down every single wall
Let's bring into this world of ours much more love and peace
So a lot of this vicious circle of strife and pain can one day cease
Let's start today and let's do it right from the place in which we live
Let's always be respectful of our neighbors and our fellow man
Let's give the best of ourselves everyday and all the time that we can.
Let's stop this madness and get rid of all these illegal drugs today
They can destroy everything that you have and will kill you too
Make a vow to bring God into your life every single day
And make Him part of everything that you do.
Believe that your life will be more productive and blessed
When you put Him first in every thing
That you set your mind to do when you bring
Him closer and right inside your heart
And from you He shall never depart
So start by doing this and much more
Let's answer the call and open the door
Let's be watchful of everything that we do and say
And let's be thankful and pray to God everyday!

A Visit in Style

Hello there my dearest old friend, it’s been a long, long time
I wish of you to sit a spell, indulge me with your rhymes

I have a few to read to you. I’d like to know your thoughts.
I have so many styles now. It’s great, what I’ve been taught!

The Cameo is popular; I really love it so.
The Septet, too, is oh so grand, I wanted you to know.

The Haiku, though so short, is a descriptive piece to read.
It provides all the clarity and imagery you’ll need.

A Tanka is much like that but has two more lines instead.
It really sounds just as descriptive, if out loud it’s read.

One that really is a fave, is the Diatelle; it’s great!
With many lines and syllables it’s surely to elate.

So many styles to say the least, I cannot say them all.
We must revisit them one day, so please pay me a call.

Broken To Pieces

Broken to pieces, I wept bitterly
for my Savior and my deliverer to set me free;

from the curses of His people spoken and set,
to cause much hurt and harm without any regret.

But I found comfort in knowing that I was not alone.
I wasn't the only person to whom curses were sown.

For there's someone who is much greater than I,
who did not have to, but chose to die;

To redeem you and I from the curses of sin,
and put our lives back together again.

Every time we take communion and break the bread of life,
I am reminded of how He too was broken and sacrificed.

So I now rejoice in being broken to pieces and delivered from despair;
For if I were never broken, then there would be none of me to share!

Catharsis of the Spray

I shall write an ode one day,
To my lord of the eternal spray,
When I can no longer walk the shore,
When I cannot endure the heat,
Of children starving in the street,
And I can no longer bear to hear,
The screams of spirits, loved ones dear,
And in my ode, I shall ask,
What workman could have forged the glass to block the darkest light from fright,
Maligning my air, my stars, my night?
What engineer could be so skilled,
To devise a foam so potent in form,
Clearing waste of human storm,
The day comes, the sea and I shall be one,
And I sing my ode as devoted son,
Waiting with kindred until child prays,
For our cartharsis of the spray.

Harvard Night Introspect (Walls Vs. Bridges)

Harvard, at night - You still sit on the lawn
with the weight of both structures alive in your arms
Rachmaninoff's tears turning black at your hips
The counting of friends on your five finger tips

Sawdust and poetry, building the wall
A thousand feet wide, a thousand feet tall
Running for life times, for miles, a span
built in your introspect, with your own hands

Frailty and friendships locked into the bridge
Braided in steel as you reach and you give
High above mountains and high above land
all this entwined with the stretch of your hands

Still in the dark, on the lawn, as you see
a friend walking toward you, no shoes, and it's me
I'm a reminder of one bridge you've built
This effort the same as brick walls made of guilt

We span interlocked over oceans for miles
Stronger in steel when we reach during trials
Bent but not breaking, leaning but locked
Bolted in faith made of granite like rock

You are a thinker, musician, a muse
knowing that bridges or walls you must choose
Harvard night introspect, weighting the skies
burning Rachmaninoff tears in your eyes

In an instant you build the bridge, swallow the land
as you rise to your feet you hold onto my hand...

BLACKBERRY

I have a baby panther, she is restless and carefree.
Okay, she is really not a panther; she's my cat named Blackberry.

She was found in a blackberry patch, by a girl named Tana Bech.
Who rescues cats and kittens that have suffered from neglect.

I saw her on a web site; she was nine weeks old back then.
She was curled up on a blanket and looked wiry, small and thin.

I was looking for a longhaired Persian with a cute round face.
I couldn't find one, and found myself back on Blackberry's space.

At the time I didn't know why she seemed to call my name.
This scrawny little kitten waiting for someone she could claim.

I went to meet her face to face to see if we would chime.
I was afraid the damage had been done; she hid the entire time.

Tana said that's what she did when strangers came around.
When rescued it took a hot dog and some time to get her out.

I decided to take her home that day and though, it took some time.
She made my house her home and now she thinks it's hers - not mine.

This once fearful little kitten walks like a hunter proud and tall.
When I'm not feeling well she stays beside me through it all.

She still hides to this day, when people visit she doesn't know.
I know when they are gone, my little panther's face will show.

Dreams Are Wishes

Dreams are wishes

Made in your heart

To reach for the stars

And find their chart

Every day dream

Of all those things

Your heart within sings

Dazzled by their beam

Never stop dreaming

Never stop wishing

These are gifts

Don't let them drift!

Sail this magical ship

Don't let them ever slip!

Wings of the Woman

  She waits crosslegged
in the smokey dawn
his scent is in her hair
leather cords with feathers fly
in the gentle breeze
where she waits just outside the
last teepee.
She can't remember when he left
he didn't say goodbye
just walked the appaloosa
slowly down the dry creek bed.

 He did not look back..
.....
ssssssss the snake
is in the grass
she smiles at him and lets him pass

wolves are howling on their hill
she's howling back,
they bring a kill
and lay it bleeding at her feet,

She drinks the land and is complete

one with spirits now and then
she knows he won't be back again

Deep peace is made with God and man
and every member of her clan.

The drifting starts within her eyes
a whining wind,the windy sighs ,
her feathered fingers
flail and find,
the fabric of her soul and mind.

On pinions boundless as the sky
she spreads her wings and learns to fly.

True Love Is

A love that is unconditional knowing no degrees
As deep as the oceans, rivers and seas.
A love that is pure, straight from the heart and full of compassion
Never to be severed or torn apart.

A love of passion, emotional and real
A love that permeates the spirit; a love one can feel-
That binds two together with an everlasting seal.

A love that alleviates past heartaches and pains
Banishing the fears, so that only happiness remains.

A love that is strong, rock-solid, constant and true
A love so special, fufilling in all that one thinks, says and does.

A love so intimate, that there is no more you and me
There is only US
A love that one can depend on-
A love based on Trust.

Hearth and Home

  Wandering
 down
down
     down
the simple pathway
out of sound
the heartbeat burden
still
so slow
a rhythm you can feel
below
undercurrents of a dream
the one where
love
is like a stream
flowing ever on and on
to you
and
God
and hearth and home.

Landmark

when the stars first formed in an unlit sky,
i opened my eyes and wondered why.

when the weather turned and scooped me up,
i flew and swam and never looked back.

when the sun beat fast and lightning flashed,
i laughed at the madness as my dreams were smashed.

but when the first flowers opened and i saw the colour blue,
i cried with joy at the thought of you.

Heart to Unthaw

Cooled off in nitrogen
molded and set
dusted with lightning
and passion beget
Brilliant and shiny
silver and stone
heartbeat gone stagnant
cold and alone
Hidden in darkness
under the bed
packed up in parchment
encrypted and red
Frigid disaster
love on the mend
icicle heartbeat
about to begin
Pumping the crystals
grinding the wall
silver delirium
waiting to fall
Thawing and melting
crying like rain
Heat up the ventricles
Swallow your pain.
Far better be it
to melt in the wind
than stiffen to stone
made of silver or flint
Molt up the metal
soften the flesh
If you're frozen of heart
you are already dead.

Silvery Silence

Silvery silence beckons offering a haven of peace
merely close your eyes and listen and time will simply cease.

Open your heart to the moment to reveal the mystical grail
and the timeless breath of heaven will fill your empty sail.

For God created stars in the midnight sky, the majesty of forests green
the eagle that soars on endless winds, the sights still yet to be seen.

Past and future succumb to stillness for in God's presence they do not exist
only His love pure and holy emerge from the heavenly mist.

Focus on only each moment as if a jewel to behold
for each sparkling facet clearly reflects the wisdom of ages old.

Fragrant Beauty

Upon the far off hill, with the sun beating down
are just hundreds of flowers that grow from the ground.

Each one is distinctive in its very own way
And each has a fragrance that will make your head sway.

The loveliest of flowers, oh yes, to behold
Planted by the eternal gardener, or so I am told.

He planted the seeds with thoughts and with care
With the hopes that his people will see beauty there.

He knew all too well of the beauty He had made
The senses they all please and the comfort they gave.

He knew that in time we would return at an hour
Of need for love from His most fragrant of flowers.

He had blessed all the petals and stems with His touch.
He gave each one beauty and love, almost too much.

He made this a heaven on earth for all to then see
But t’is better to smell, of the fragrant beauty.

Just One Person

I feel no coat of burden, despite guilt’s overpowering ways
For freedom lies within my heart, as honesty fights the days

I feel no sense of regret, though decisions are so often made
As choices not for my own good, but for the many that outweigh

I hope to have the ability, sensibility to always do what’s right
For then my conscience speaks to me and warms me with its light

I hope to possibly change the world, just one person at a time
As my heart’s wide open, head held high, so eagerly sublime

Soft Lullaby

it's alright
it's okay
i love you anyway

you're so pretty
cute little kitty
make all your pains go away

my little friend
love til the end
make all the things right

just you wait
it's never too late
hush and sleep tonight

Celebrating Rainbows

After a healthy downpour of rain,
Side by side, always the same
Today or tomorrow, a simple bow
The signal of hope, sunshine must follow
A destined bond, family tied
Silhouette of unity, predesigned
A joyous echo, long established norm
Classical collision, ensured, conformed

If each color grew tired of the next
Would independence leave us perplexed
Lava lamp like, these morphing beams
The stuff that’s only seen in dreams
Nature’s fireworks, marvel at the sights
Curse the sun’s interference despite
the churning clouds that bring the scent
of awaited drops that must descent

Which would you then celebrate more
Winter, long nights and stars galore
and rainy days, bountiful displays
or summer beaches and butterfly ways
The future may one day demonstrate
Impacts of change from the current state
For now, uplifting, shoulder to shoulder
Beauty, simplified, in the eye of the beholder

Something's brewing

At present there are many cases
Where modern folk of different races
Need food for body, mind and soul
Craving to be nourished, to be whole
Thought I could introduce to you
Fulfillment in the form of stew
An age old family recipe
That sends emotion soaring free

Take one chopped liver, be precise
Add just a pinch of happy spice
Two teaspoons full of loyalty’s nice
Handful of hope in small cubes diced
Pieces of courage thinly sliced
Two ripened hearts firmly spliced
A gracious sauce, senses enticed
Enrich the soul with beauty of life

Tickle the taste buds, play with your food
Set the table with all that’s good
Dig in, be happy, understood
This masterful dish will lift your mood
Tastes best when served with pure delight
So have a blast with all you invite
Serves all who’s willing to join the feast
Experience perfection while you eat

Old School Talk

Grandma asked me did I mind going to the store.

I gave her a look as if I wasn't sure.

Grandma begin to start one of her speeches, which really sounds like one of my
teachers.

Grandma begin to say, she had to work hard for her pay, and that I would learn
what thats like one day.

She said just to buy a can of lard, she had to work in somebody's yard.

Grandma said " When I was young, sometimes being a child wasn't so much fun.

She said she had to study real hard in school , because she wasn't going to be
nobody's fool.

By the time grandma finished high school, she found out about a new rule.

The rule was she must go to college, to better her education and gain more
knowledge

Grandma went to college and got her degree, she said if I follow in her footsteps
that could some day be me.

After that long old school talk, straight to the store I did walk.

I made up in my mind right at that time, if grandma ever ask me to go to the store
I won't give her that look anymore.

And the Sun Spoke

The clouds fell down abruptly upon me this day
As the sun pushed them down, it had wanted to play

I looked to it, with a squint in my eyes
For it seemed so bright, there in the skies

It smiled and said, Michael, please write of me
I want the world to know just what I can be

I am more than just light, to brighten the day
I am inspiration, growth and a reason to play

I flourish the fields with multitudes of flowers
I give people reasons, in those fields, to spend hours

I am artwork, unpainted, but crafted from above
I am a gift from almighty, provided with love

So, Michael, can you please write of me now
Please let them all know, what I do and just how

Please choose your words wisely, so all to see clear
Just what I can do and just why I am here

I said, do not worry, they all know it true
For the words that I write, will be those poured from you

Sunshine and Happiness

The days are getting longer as the sun is holding bright
It gives up, not so easily, as it tries to hold back night

The mighty yellow orb is working overtime these days
As winter turns to spring then into summer’s fiery rays

Alive then all the flowers, all the trees, the happy young
As, now, there is a freedom when we’re out there in the sun

Angel of Mine

With love and adoration, I say this now to thee
That you are my true savior, an angel there for me
I wish to tell you freely, that you have changed my days
The sun now permanently smiles on me, it’s so lovely on display

I wandered many days in darkness before my meeting you
Then your aura changed all that, bringing brightness into view
The heat you emit so freely, the light that you always now shine
Makes me the happiest on the face of the earth, as this angel is now mine

And you feel so all alone
             PUSH

If, for another heart breaking day
You can't seem to find your way

Just put your faith and trust in God
He'll put you on the right path to trod

Happiness is Time With You

So splendid that you made the time to sit with me today
The sun, it shines so bright my friend, as if it’s on display

Together we will share some words and tell a joke or two
As happiness is all I’ll know because I’ll sit with you

Now, here’s a chair, relax, sit down, would you like a cup of tea?
The roses smell so good right there, isn’t here so great to be?

This sunny summer special day is leaving me with a smile
And all because, oh friend of mine, you sat with me awhile

Thank you, friend, I love our chats and the smiles that you bring
So, like the birds perched in the trees, my heart with you, it sings

Today's Parade

Dressed then in Green or Irish Lace
Upon the street, some painted face
There’s drummers drumming out the tunes
With children’s smiles with green balloons
Where on the street, the people cheer
As many wave or even raise a beer
But, truth be known, upon this day
St Patrick drove the snakes away

Let rosy cheeks then draw the crowd
As bagpipes play the music loud
Within the march, they all then say
How proud they are upon this day
Though your people may not be
Still come out, witness the green
For I have heard so many say
They wish to be Irish if just for this day

Happy St Patrick’s Day!
