Lost Love - Gary Fields

Loss Lost Love

by~ GARY FIELDS

Why my love left?
I soon forget the reason's why
All that I remember
Is that she left such
An empty space
An empty trace
So many memories
Which can not be erased
And I die just a little inside
And time mean's nothing to me'
Fore you mean so much to me
              - And -
Then ever so slightly
I wish for quiet subtle change
             --------
And I don't know since when
But time just set's end on end
And smoke appears below
Which can choke a friend
A friend in need
Certainly not you love
And once again, ever so slightly
I wish for quiet suttle change
              --------
It has been three weeks (03) now
And things' are all in a clammer'
Thing's just seem to set end on end
And nothing seem's to matter
An I make a vowel for thee
In a time that is lost for- ever
             -------
O'h, how I wish to belong
             -------

by~ Poet Destroyer

I can see the pain!
I came to you no longer.
Looking for answers,
I cried till I could no more..

I shared'
I stared'
At the empty space hiding in my heart,
I knew then that day was the end.
Thoughts ran like rivers,
flowing a stream down my face.
You picked the pieces up as I walked away.
With no more to open and say.
                       ~~~~~
When holding wasn't holding to me no more,
You opened up your heart, in hopes I could feel.
We cried into the night,
until the early morn.
We scolded each other's pain,
searching and seeking each others heart.
As time drew, second begun to fade.
I saw our lovers nest fading,
as the night grew thick.
The moment had arrived,
why did we say goodbye?
                      ~~~~~
Now we sit alone,
reminiscing the past that vaporized into thin air.
An empty trace'
An empty space'
                      ~~~~~
Oh! How I wish to belong!
How The Big Mac Got The Gherkin
Once upon an ancient time,
in long gone languid days,
when distant misted myths bechanced
in lovely rhym'ed ways,
when time was so much freer,
less allotted to the minute,
‘twas then the mighty Big Mac
got the gherkin in it.
The night was one made fit for gods,
and stars made white the sky,
and drunk, dylsexic old McDonald
sang Oh Eee, Oh Eee, I.
His greatest yet creation
lay on his barbie plate,
it was the mighty Big Mac,
with no inkling of its fate.
McDonald thought the pattie lacked
ce qu'il ne savait pas.
He decided what he'd give it
was this green thing from a jar.
The Big Mac cried out, ‘Hang about!
I like the way I am!
And I think that what I need the least,
is a prostate gland exam.'
McDonald growled, ‘Don't be a sook!
It's not gonna hurt a bit.
Just close your eyes and grit your teeth,
and keep loose where you sit.'
Big Mac firmly grasped his bun
and held it really tight,
he had Phallicvegiephobia
and would resist with all his might.
But McDonald was too smart by far,
Big Mac was not his match,
the old bloke snuck up from behind
to by surprise him catch.
Beneath an unsuspecting arm
he applied a little tickle,
the burger gave a little laugh,
and got a little pickle...
So the Big Mac we all know today
was born of subterfuge.
And although the gherkin in it
aint really all that huge,
remember that it's only there
by the skullest of skullduggery,
and that bit we discard's the fruit
of the foulest burger buggery.
Music Take Me Back
When I'm blue and need something to make me smile
I can turn on my forty fives and listen for a while
Jimmy Gilmer sang about a Sugar Shack
Holding hands, walking down that railroad track
Then I let the music take me back.
Take me back to a time when love was new
Take me back to a time when skies were blue
When we could catch that falling star
Make love in the back seat of my car
Music, oh sweet music, take me back
Doo-wop memories touched my soul
Mixed with the early days of rock and roll
I close my eyes and through the haze
I see sunshine and better days
Music take me back to those times again.
There was Bandstand on TV in black and white
Radio on 'til you fell asleep at night
There were dances at the school
And swimming in the community pool
Music take me back, let me remember when.
Did we believe those days would forever last
Were things so much better in the past
I dream of days when a movie
Meant kissing in the balcony
Music take me back, let my heart roam.
It seems like a thousand years ago
We found true love and watched it grow
I know this is where my heart belongs
When I listen to those songs
Music take me back, please take me home.
Changes
Lady, Don't say I didn't try to warn ya
But I'm taking this thumb all the way to California
I'm just gonna go
Even though I love you so
Got a ramblin' urge that just won't let me rest
Took my guitar and the clothes that's on my back
Got my life planned out and everything's on track
So I ask you please don't cry
Now it's time to say goodbye
I'll think of you when I settle down out west
Today's the day that I'm gonna shift my load
Leave the past behind and hit the open road
But no matter what I do
I'll still dream of you
I've got you in my heart and there you're gonna stay
If it's changes for the better I don't know
I stilll feel that it's time for me to go
Yes, we had some happy years
I don't want to see your tears
If changes come again, then I'll be back some day.
Love Story Gone Wild
when beauty met the beast
she was a cutie, he was a beast
she thought that she'd speak to him at least
and at least find out what made
a beast, a beast
as the beast looked at her
he wondered; what a feast
but the way she spoke to him
was gentle and curiosity increased
he found her some what pleasant
and laid his aggression aside
for now he'd grown accustom
and hoped she would abide
as time past he looked at her
as he never did before
tender conversations
brought his knees to the floor
she'd become his weakness
his task forever more
he liked to hear her voice
and see her walk through the door
on holidays there were presents
on birthdays a feast
each special day that brought her presence
was a holy day to say the least
now i am wholly human
and i can tell you well
that jealousy fits us humans
and beast very well
one look at competition
can take us all to hell
we can never avoid perdition
when one other than God
we our souls sell
and from God comes the testing
old men and prophets tell
the beast asked God for patience
and God knows how to teach it well
the next time the beast see's beauty
there is a ring on her hand
he didn't care to mention it
but that was one thing he couldn't stand
worn down he ask her
what the ring meant on her hand
slowly she confided, it meant she'd
marry another man
the beast now was furious
he did not understand
that all these years confiding
he was suppose to be the man
what then would become of her
his conscious did demand
all the years he spent with her
were coming to an end
yet love had one more service
his heart would command
tell the maid he loved her
and ask her for her hand
let all the powers of wickedness
and goodness take their stand
upon this maids answer
i'll bravely take my chance
BEAUTIFUL BLUE WORLD
I bent down
kissed the top of her head gently
For , I must go,
in to the night
This beautiful blue world
I cannot see it all in one day
Sails set and unfurled
Moon, full
Silver at play
A kiss to last...
A day...
A lifetime...
For, I must go..
In to the night
On the deep blue
As wide...
As my heart is open
Beautiful blue world
I love it too
One day at a time
A kiss to last...
A journey...
As far as the heart,
is prepared to go
A kiss to last
Journeys' past
One day at a time
This beautiful blue world
Held in my hand
Like a kiss...
A set sail...
Such things
To my heart,
always last
before i die
four different things i have to do
before i vanish, from the earth without a clue
they will murmur while taking me to my resting place
that i did what i promised to do or at least i did my best
hey you, just listen to my worries
i was a good boy who liked his mama,papa and school
there also was my all time sweetheart
 they called her rose and she has angel eyes and lips like cherries
i loved her like a innocent lover
but could not tell her
someday after she moved to a new town
i stood there weeping and my head was down
i never heard or saw her again
as i am having little time left for me
my first thing to do is find and tell her my feelings soon.
i don't know what i am crying for
don't i believe  there is never an end
in my past i always running for money
i never cared for others
and now i am suffering for that i am sure.
where are my near and dear ones as i am lying down here alone
where is my son and where is my sweet little girl tory
my second thing to do before i die is
call all of them and tell them sorry.
i loved my wife and she loved me too
she was like the most beautiful flower and i was the tree
we both climbed the success mountain
holding each others hand and promised we never would fall apart
but she died peacefully and set herself free
i was hurt like a wounded bird
and never went to see her resting place
now i quietly counting the number of years since she was gone
and it is a long time of seven
third thing is to tell her , we will soon meet in heaven
 all of my life i never believed you
never prayed, i never went to your holy home
 as i became a sad and lonely person
and as my bones became weak and my hairs grey
i understand true value of yours
and last thing i want to do is
for once i will go to church and pray.
Estimate The Cost
You look back and dream of days long gone
You can feel the tears as they're coming on
Just realizing how much you lost
It's no way to estimate the cost
Once you walked with purpose and your will was strong
Wouldn't back down now somehow it all seems wrong
Never found out how the dice were tossed
Just count the chips and estimate the cost
Oh the price was more than you thought it would be
You just turned your back so you wouldn't see
There were limits set but those lines you crossed
Never took the time to estimate the cost
Now time is closing down that open road
Memories become such a heavy load
Autumn years will bring an early frost
Too late to sit and estimate the cost
Now you're just a few steps ahead of the hell you made
It wasn't supposed to be how the game was played
Total disregard, oh how the rules were tossed
Now the time has come to estimate the cost.
I Think of You
I think of you every time
And wish I could say those words to you
The words that would disclose what I feel
Deep in my soul
And in my heart
Every time I think of you
Every time I wish I could see you
Every time I wish I could get closer to you
And whisper those words
That will set out our life in motion
That will give you a reason to think of me
And give us a reason to be!
My Easter Wish
Its Easter time for family and friends,
Joy and laughter goes on to no end.
The big Easter hunt will soon be here,
Kids are all happy to know that its near.
Its a special time in most parents life,
To have their kids around them,its an awesome sight.
They will search the house up side down,
To find the most Easter eggs, and wear the crown.
I found the most ,one kid will say,
So i wear the crown ,through out this day.
Not all Easters turn out like we plan,
For one kid is lost,like a grain of sand.
As parents we try and deal with this lost,
Of one kid not here,and the trials it has cost.
We pray that God will look after her, in her struggle to see,
How things went wrong , between her and me.
If i could turn back time ,and right the wrong,
Make things better,grow love that strong.
Pay more attention to their wants and needs,
Help them through trouble times, is where i should be.
Easter comes but once a year,
It should be the time of love and not of fear.
Trying to see things through her eyes,
Makes me feel sad, for i know she tries.
The Roads I've Taken
Sometimes I may have lost connection
Sometimes they took me in the wrong direction
Maybe I'll spend the rest of my days alone
But the roads I've taken were all my own
I never took the time to ponder my fate
Too much waiting ahead, I don't want to be late
I must have run to keep the wolves at bay
The roads I've taken have led me astray
There's a new light shining in the morning sun
My horse is saddled and she's ready to run
Now my future's brighter. I can see it clear
The roads I've taken have brought me here
I feel a freedom in  my heart today
Stop to help my brother along the way
Then  I pray Dear Jesus, when my time is through
Let the roads I've taken lead back to You.
Darkness
Hello Darkness, my old friend
My arms out stretched
I'm here again
Inside my dream I walked alone
Inside the night I roamed.
Reaching out to all who hear
Reaching out through silent tears
But no one hears and no one came
My dream repeats this silent song
A song my voice longs to share
A song of flight I sang, I dared
A song of light in colored sight
Reaching out to all those Here
Singing out through silent tears
But no one hears and no one came
My dream repeats this silent song
Through my eyes, my heart, my tears
I sing a song that Darkness fears.
But no one hears...
A song my voice longs to share
This song I sing, a vision dared
Hello Darkness my old friend
Your story told in this dream again
And in the piercing light I saw
Your eyes on me...
and your eyes are raw
Your time has passed
Your shadow dim
Here we stand, at the gates again.
Voices silent in a time called When
A bend this day...
Through spiraling winds.
And in this piercing light I saw
Your eyes on me
and your eyes are raw...
Hello Darkness my old friend
My arms out stretched,
I'm here again...
Your eyes,
My hand,
Your mind,
My pen
Our voices silent
In a time called When
My dream repeats this song again.
Just Can't Let Go
I’ve tried to forget you and what we’ve shared
I’ve tried not to believe that I really do care
But it makes my heart ache to tell myself no
There are too many reasons that I can’t let go
I remember the laughter and all of the fun that we’ve had
I think of how you’ve made me smile all the times I’ve been sad
I’m just so crazy about you and I’m letting you know
I love you too much to let you go
I want you to want me and to hold me so tight
I need you to need me and to hold me close at night
I want you to think of me wherever you are
I want you to remember my love is never far
Tell me our love will continue to grow
Please tell me that you just can’t let go
I’ll continue to love you and to treat you right
There’s no time for yelling and no reason to fight
My love is so strong it could move a mountain
That’s why my love pours out like water from a fountain
It’s so easy to love you and I just want you to know
That’s another reason I just can’t let go
Whenever I’m with you my heart begins to sing
You really do make my heart smile with all of the joy you bring
You fill me with excitement from head to toe
That’s one more reason that I just can’t let go
We need each other like the earth needs the rain
We have nothing to lose and so much to gain
You have someone to love you without causing you pain or sorrow
Someone who will love you today and still be here tomorrow
Someone who will always love you so
Someone who just can’t let go
Just give into your heart and live life on the wild side
Believe in me baby and I’ll take you on one heck of a ride
Look into my eyes and tell me what you see
A world full of love is what you will get from me
Just take a chance and don’t tell your heart no
Don’t miss out on true love, tell me you just can’t let go
This is the way that real love should be
You won’t get hurt this time, no not by me
It’s time to believe in someone you can trust
This is true love not casual lust
You can believe in my love I have eyes only for you
My heart is all yours loving, honest and true
There’s really something you should know
This heart of mine just can’t let go
The power of love is something we can’t understand
It’s rare and beautiful and can only be found with the touch of God’s hand
He brought us together for what we may not know
Let’s just hold onto what we have
We just can’t let go
Lost Free Will
We are all a proud Canadain people,
But as of late, I dont like what i see,
There is no more debate on certain things,
We are just simply told, this is how its going to be.
Prices on everything is going out of control,
With no end in sight.
No one even seems to care,
Or even put up a fight.
We follow along like lost sheep,
Waiting for someone to stand up and say,
Ok.Ok. enough is enough, we cant take no more,
Its time this Gouverment moved in a different way.
At each election , we are promised this and that,
Things will get better they say,
But for those who cant find a job,
It gets harder to live, day by day.
The welfare line keeps growing and growing,
Because there are no jobs to be had.
For a father of five young mouths to feed,
Makes his heart feel awful sad.
I think its time this Gouverment stood up and say,
To the rich people of this land,
You made your money of poor peoples back,
Now it time to give them a hand.
But like most Gouverments , nothing will be done,
Unless we ALL stand up and say,
We put you into power to help the PEOPLE ,
Not just the rich along the way.
Perfect Date
I went to get ready, for our very last date.
She'd kill me for sure, if I showed up late.
I polished my shoes, put on a clean shirt.
Then bought her some roses. What could it hurt?
I thought to myself, as I knocked on her door.
I was ready to end this, I couldn't take anymore.
The day I first met her, she had ribbons in her hair.
Every time she spoke my name, my heart would float on air.
When we first started dating, it didn't take long.
For me to realize, that this was all wrong.
She made a big deal, out of every little thing.
She was not for me, that's how it seemed.
It had to end quick, I had made up my mind.
I had to act now, or I would run out of time.
She thanked me for the roses, then gave me a kiss.
That was one thing for sure, I would really miss.
We went out to eat, and then went to our spot.
I really think, she enjoyed it a lot.
Our spot was a cliff, looking over a lake.
By the time we got there, it was already late.
I put on some slow music, and we danced all night.
She had a sweet smile, and her eyes shined bright.
When we got back to the car, I kissed her goodbye.
I felt kind of sad, and I can't explain why.
I walked to my side, and pushed the pedal to the floor.
She tried to escape, but her dress was caught in the door.
As she flew off the edge, screaming in fear.
I only shed, one lonely tear.
The car hit the water, and ended its flight.
I felt a sense of relief, as I left the crash site.
Cement Seedling
I don't need very much to stay alive,
a little urban rain from time to time.
It's not luxurious, here in the ground,
but I'm content with it, this life of mine.
There's not a lot for me to view from here;
the iron forest always sees to that.
It must be nice to venture past those trees;
but trapped am I, within this concrete crack.
At times, my mistress seems unfair; although,
I'm quite accustomed to this static fate;
her morning eye and moistful firmament
ensure my needs are met, despite my state.
I'm well aware her sight does take a while
to reach my herbal arms from where I stand,
but being patient is a noble trait,
and one that's helped me flourish in this land.
Oh there's no need to worry over me;
I'm quite resilient for a city weed.
I know I can't get up and rule my life;
but as I said, there's not much that I need.
But what of you, my busy human friend?
How goes the life your maker granted you?
Forgive my prying, but I'm most concerned
with all the stress that you've been going through.
You have the freedom to decide your home,
the priv'lege to decide what you will eat,
the sov'reignty to change your day's routine,
and you were gifted with nomadic feet.
I cannot say decisions aggravate,
for they are favors I have never had.
But how can one despise such dowery?
I can't imagine how that'd be so bad.
So listen to this humble seedling's word:
before you think your life is but a curse,
take out the time to reassess your gifts;
your life could surely be a great deal worse.
crash and burn
i want to say one thing
this day and age becoming a crash and burn
people getting there heart broken
its something u have to learn
people make mistake and tell some lies
some forgive, ofthere say there last good byes
some hang there selves, others cry through the night.
wishing to there selves," why did i say good bye , why can't we be alright"
thats life.
its something u have to learn , if you dont all  it be is a crash and burn
and you dont want to learn it like that ,take it like this..
once you get in a relationship,  end it as being friends
dont make  a tear  drop,  just hold on the best you can
if you dont,  another crash and burn will happen again
just telling you as a friend
i learn the hard way i broke it off  just like that
if i think about what i did  i wish i could gone back
but you can't thats life, thats a fact but i  have learn now
you have to learn the way of life if you dont, it be a crash and burn  every day and
night .... thats life
TAPESTRY
This knot.....
A second of your time
This colour........
a thought
This ongoing composition,
your time here,
your doing,
your volition
Live your life
as a tapestry
Each knot,
a thread in time
Each colour,
light or not
This composition .....
sublime
This colour of thought
The knots you sought
This winding thread,
easy to break
Together they hold
On the paths you tread
This tapestry you unfold
This emerging picture of time,
this colour
The fullness of your knot,
a little less duller,
if your thoughts,
are sublime
Winding  thread,
this image spread
The pattern
knots and colour,
on lifes' satin
Gold and silver knots
Precious seconds
This tapestry unravelling
your thoughts,
colour, travelling
Tapestry,
every knot a precious second
every colour,
a thought
Tapestry,
our lives caught
Shown for all,
every thought laid
Tapestry,
our lives displayed
This composition,
our lives,
our volition
Deepening colour play
The  richness in your time
Tapestry,
woven through,
winding thread
The  things you do,
the things you say
The life you want to portray
Echo...
"...you have one duck... I saw it."
"no crickets, but yes, the sound"
~I have some fish, swimming around...
Who are you? And where do you be?
As I walk this forest, how do you, see me?
A cricket's sound, some fish around,
But you and you lost to my sea.
Why, do you two follow me?
An open door, extended before,
A hand, a smile, I waited awhile, with
hopes and maybe some fantasy.
I hoped you woulda, woulda hit on me.
But in retro, I did so see...
My time of past, dyes deep and fast,
a flow, a hum, my life was numb.
In a time of change, I rearranged,
the elements of my being.
I changed, to my Me Becoming.
And I stopped in my tracks,
while in my running.
Hanging there was Venus dear,
A photo I gave you, from above.
The Sun ablaze, the Moon amazed,
while I heard your Heart. My love...
But questioned I when you raised an I,
and you didn't reply to my song?
I sang again! And I glared at you then,
but you turned, as though I were wrong?
A butterfly, a kiss by your eye... and yet,
I still wonder why your park is gone.
And the Indian Sang, but you heard no song?
~Know. The journey is Long...
For Amy
They say she was six
Seductive beyond her years
Hidden behind her childs eyes
A sea of silent tears
What a pretty little girl
They all used to say
Look as she walks
Her hips seem to sway
Someday she’ll be a model
Or a big runway star
With a look like that
She’s sure to go far
Walk like this, baby
And talk like that
Bow to the man honey
He puts the money in the hat
It wasn’t long
Before all knew her name
The pretty little girl
Playing a grown-ups’ game
No time for dolls
Her mother always said
With the price they pay
We can keep us all fed
Now you know, baby
You can’t go out and play
You have to sit for photos
With the nice men today
It’s ok sweet one
Show a little leg
It’ll make the nice men
Stand up and beg
Her soul had been sold
By the time she was ten
The life of a child
She’d never have again
She’s all grown up now
Feeling alone and abused
The marks on her arms
Tell of the things she’s used
Just one more fix
And the pain will go away
She’ll be alright now
Amy died today….
As I walk out into a deep sea of blue
I start to feel the new morning dew
Wanting to escape to the welcoming stars
I leave behind the pain of all scars
Swept away in this speckled blanket above
I know the stars are full of secrets and love
I ponder and share the thoughts in my mind
The dreams and secrets that I may once find
Soon I know this magical darkness will fall
And all will continue, our natural known call
So now let all found secrets be told
As will our sought out dreams unfold
My Life
surrounded by walls
no where to go
walls are closing in
no more air flow
no one can hear you
like your never there
no one can help
no one is there
kicking and screaming
yelling for help
mom sits and watches
while dad grabs his belt
mom doesn't say anything
until dad leaves
she doesn't care
at least I didn't believe
this always happened
every single night
mom just sat and watched
without putting up a fight
going to school
with new bruises every day
teachers always asked
I blew their help away
knowing if I told
it would only get worse
begging on my knees
for him not to immerse
just laying there as time passed by
watching myself get beat
I just thought to myself
one day I'll be back on my feet
the time had finally come
many years after
I finally stood up for myself
it never happened thereafter
My Thoughts are Different
My Thoughts are Different
by  Landon Phillips
The things I believe are not the same as what you believe
My thoughts are different and my trust is naive
I can’t say I’m perfect but I can say that you’re not either
So why bother to call names like a griever
Take your time and see the real world
Not too waste or spend time with some useless girl
The shadows of night come out to rest beside you
Be careful what to say or to do
The narrow way that leads you towards the light.
Don’t follow it if it appears too bright.
But you will do what you want- I can not stop you
As for me, I too the world must remain true
So Swift the Days Will Pass
Up on the hill I found my joy
on grass of green and gold
I would roll down when a young boy
for I was fast and bold.
Oh how we'd play from dawn to dusk
in torn pants and bare feet
The day a thrill when winds were brusque
yes we were colts so fleet.
We ate the small fruits in the grass
sweet ones red and blue
Oh yes the joys found as time passed
were there for most of you.
Up on those hills who was to know
that time would fly so fast.
That life would bind our bare foot soul
and days so swift would pass.
