Enemies of the Peace

Enemies of the peace
Are not consecrating the life
Tampering with the nature
Crucifying the childhood
On the sidewalks
Burying the chastity
In the brothels
Killing the light
Before coming the dark

Enemies of the peace
Adoring the wars
Kissing the poverty
Dreaming with the famines
Clapping for catastrophes
Destroying everything
Schools
Hospitals
Synagogues
Churches
Mosques
Temples

Enemies of the peace
They want to uproot feelings
To extinguish the flaming longing
In the hearts
And burn the growing yearning
In depths of humans

Enemies of the peace
Robbing the dreams
Jailing the tears
Deforming the colors
Crushing the flowers
Turning off the hope

Enemies of the peace
Not knowing the love
Not appreciating the values
Not believing in the peace .....................

In War, Victory Kills

The Warrior On Top The Mountain
Swings His Sword Like A Legend
Though I'm Skilled In Combat
Let These Words Teach You A Lesson...
Some Avoid War Because
They Could Lose In The End
I Avoid War Because
What I Will Destroy Just To Win....
Defeat Dies.....
Victory Kills...
It Is Better To Let The Hate Move On
And Let The Love Stand Still

An Elegy for Syria

After so many countries, now in Syria,
Increasing is the western bacteria,

The bacteria of hypocrisy and lies,
Which is in a dangerous disguise,

Under the banner of help and peace,
They seems like a white fleece,

They do things very secretly,
Pursuing interests very actively,

What they want is just conflicts?
In the entire world's districts,

They like when people kill each other,
Its how indirectly they do smother,

Try to understand that what is a war?
Because it opens up the profits door,

For the imperialists and dictators,
And of course their very own creators,

When imperialists start a war,
They make sure that its paid for,

So they pose to help by selling arms,
As if they are selling them charms,

In return of arms they make money,
So much that its not even funny,

On the other hand people also die,
In the region where they don't comply,

They want the entire world to obey,
Their orders and want them to say okay!

As long as one stays this way,
A nice attitude they will display,

But for instance if one says "NO" to them,
At first they get angry and hem,

And then come bans and sanctions,
Penalties all kinds of aggressions,

And still if they are not successful,
They wage a war to make stressful,

So that's what they did in Syria,
It was their anger and hysteria,

Because they couldn't do anything,
And through a war they wanted to sting,

But they forgot that who they are facing,
And what kind of a enemy they are racing?

They already are, their army, replacing,
And because of defeats they are reducing,

The Takfiri terrorists they brought in,
Are ruthless and not even human,

They are ripping chests of people,
And eating their hearts like animal,

So west and its cruel tactics,
Has nothing to do with the ethics,

So once and for all everyone,
Let's finish savagery which has begun.

We All Bleed Red

Thoughts swirling in my head
Remembering we all bleed red
Life is a tapestry
True happiness a dream
Such a confusing world
Paradise yet to be seen
A country with a dark past
Some hauntings still last
Unwilling to change, planted in lead
Feel it with your heart and head
No crystal ball
No room to fall
Deeper into our subconscious
Life is far too precious
A bitter pill
Such a large hill
Let freedom ring
Let children sing
Saying hell no
Not in our name
This is a political game
Most looking for fame
Dig a grave
Hell, it's a road you paved
Here to make waves
 Those who are adverse
Stuck with the curse
Burden on the young
Who is truly free
It will never be you or me
We mourn over the dead
A nation so divided
We are tainted
From birth we are painted
Who are the real heros
We all have blood on our hands
Invisible to most
Only the true can see
Even on our homeland
We have a roll to play
History is witten in stone
Learn from it instead of beating it to the bone
Our futute is only written in clay
Still malleable
All life is valuable
Old school. . New school
It is what's in our hearts
Time to stop tearing one another apart
Just take a stand
Even if you walk alone
Hold your head up high
What is life if you are to afraid to fly?
We all bleed red
Time for a transformation
Get ready to shed
Change doesn't come easy
Fear those with nothing to lose
We all deserve to live as we choose
Get ready because we all have a voice
Step up and make a choice
We condemn those we don't know
Some of us even for show
Confusion runs through me
Unsure of how things should be
My constant idealistic views
Desperately grasping not to become jaded
Dreaming of a utopia
Generations before us
Marching through the gas
Fighting for peace and love
Is the joke on me?
Is there something I can't see?
Scared for our youth
Where are the leaders?
Put personal pride aside
Stand tall
Take risks
Look in the mirror
It's time to live without fear

Is it to late

Can we stop it?

It’s a crazy, hazy world
All filled with crazy people
The danger we are in
Its sky high, like a steeple
It’s reaching a crescendo
It’s touching air and ground
Earthquakes, hurricanes and floods
These be so often found
Is it too late to stop now?
Can we really turn it back?
Or is there mass destruction
A short way up the track?

Oh, what a hectic month

Oh,what a hectic month

Oh what a month it’s been
Two lots of relies came
Over from the old country
It’s been a frantic game
I’m not used to all this stuff
But I’m glad it all took place
Although it was real hectic
No frown did crease my face.

One trip to Margaret River
Wow! This, it was a blast
We toured those rich surroundings
Till we went home at last
Then the darned flue knocked me down
And I spent some time in bed
And then I put my back out
As I banged my bloody head.

It seemed that I was on the mend
But my computer shat itself
I lost both poems, and photos
They’re the sum of all my wealth
Thank God I got the poems back
Alas, but not the photos
I guess I lost them, all of them
But this is how it goes

It’s been some heavy karma
That’s all that I can say
But now that it’s all over
I feel real fine today
So it’s back to meditation
And working on my soul
It’s time to get some relaxation
And once more feeling whole

Let There Be Peace

Let there be peace! the door to co-existence has not, so many keys and creating minorities is definitely conflict's niece. Let there be peace! Forgiveness and tolerance makes all live at ease. If discrimination is given a chance hatred, it will lease. Let there be peace! why do we allow unnecessary negativities put us under hot quiz and unfortunate repercussions, at us they laugh and tease? Let there be peace! If dwelling on differences does not cease everyone will pay the huge fees. Let there be peace! tasting the bitter fruit of war even if it is a piece takes away good conscience. The plenty suffering it gives our sense of humanity they seize. Let there be peace! Are we lower than the bees; that we can't fly and create together? Are we less matured than the geese; that we cannot sing and dance by the waters together? No, we aren't! Let's live in peace and act higher up the Animal Kingdom where we are, to live void of wars, please......

SILENCE THE VIOLENCE

When the silence of Violence is here; we know that God is near. Everyone’s fear will disappear; When we find the love that God hold’s dear. He touched the world with his heart; Now it’s time for a new start. Let the Silence of violence stand so that we can protect our land. Thank God that we are finally here to share the love that God holds dear. Lets bring back the hope that God believes in the most. With Peace in the world we would all be priceless pearls. Lets love not fight; Lets show our children how God can make everything alright. Love thy neighbor and thy friend, we will all be blessed in thee end. Violence free is what I want the world to be. Violence free will start a New History. If we lead by example our children will be the perfect sample; Of what life could be if our world is Violence Free. So let’s Silence The Violence for a PEACEFUL ENVIROMENT and let’s Silence The Violence for God’s SPIRITUAL GUIDENCE. Bless our City for we need GOD not GUNS. God Bless our City for we have Won. VICTORY OVER VIOLENCE is what I see for a happy and SAFE COMMUNITY.

MUCH LOVE
SONYA ARRINGTON

An ordeal to be forgotten

Dear diary,
My vented heart speaks to you today,
Help me forget the terrible bygones;
The misfortunes of a young girl,
The pain that she felt
In the coercion of another’s body’s act,
Her screams that were wasted
In crying out for help,
The violent hunger that unleashed
Itself on her naïve innocence.
The animals that bit her all over,
Left her abandoned in a place where
No one could find her.

The night soon followed her,
It was darkness that embraced her
Bruised beauty.
She lay in her last breadths of the hour,
When she felt lighter than before,
Released from the burdens of her karma.
And suddenly all blacked out,
In a split second she was gone, and
Peace is all she felt.

NONVIOLENCE

No need for violence or aggression
A passive acceptance of oppression
A powerful tool for social protest
To be peaceful and not violence many will resist
It presumes the intent of social change
Some believe not using belligerence is insane
Nonviolence is a synonym for pacifism
When you hear this word, you associate it with Civil Rights and racism
Nonviolence is not inaction it is the patience to win
You gain a lot of support, love, respect, and friends
See many people do not like change
So many have used diverse methods in their peaceful campaigns
Dr. Martin Luther King seen peace and equality to all races in his dream
Mahatma Gandhi helped India win its independence through bigotry that was extreme
I think that we should inevitably re-shape the social order in a lack of prejudice form
If we constantly use peace, we can weather many of these racial motivated storms
To listen to another's point of view is largely dependent on reciprocity
Not injustice, hate, and apathy
That is what makes me so angry
Remember what Jesus’ says, "love thine enemy”

"Nonviolence means avoiding not only external physical violence but also internal violence of
spirit. You not only refuse to shoot a man, but you refuse to hate him."
Martin Luther King

Treat people as if they were what they ought to be and you help them to become what they
are capable of being.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

An eye for an eye only makes the whole world blind.
Mahatma Mohandas K. Gandhi

Where's The Peace We Used To Know

Violence all across
the land
Is something I don’t
understand
Murder, rape, child
abuse
There’s absolutely
no excuse
To hurt another on
this earth
What is all this
torture worth
Causing heartache
everywhere
People have to live
in fear
Children will never
return
While at school
trying to learn
Or a woman’s life in
danger
From a sexual
offender
The whole world
should feel safe
In every town and
every place
Why can’t all this
violence cease
Leaving a whole
world of peace

MOM OF GAZA OR A BANNED SONNET

An omnipotent'd been ideated by militant clan,
Aeons tell how it put them through a social pace.
To set up abode or to relate races with astute plan,
God had its genesis;women-men needed it to seek solace.

As fact a woman conceives, is manifest
Man couldn't conceive of anything but God for law and lex.
Dyed-in-the-wool,they kept bending head for mending mind lest
They vex orders of war, worship and women for sex.

But missile killed gravid woman with faded hue,
Her baby survived in placenta of its mom of Gaza:
A whole race, policies, religion; yet nothing to rue,
As if all were busy computing to bring future bonanza.

No more sacred are our Temple and Church or Mosque and tomb.
Truth says:fetus Jesus'd been bestowed on Mary's womb!

Destroying The Path Of Hate Before It's Too Late

Wouldn't it be really great
Turning everybody's hate
Into something good and fair
In our hearts to show we care
If all the power was reversed
Into good vibes from the worst
Then the world would turn into
A kinder place for me and you
Why hatred and prejudice
Live in people who exist
On this earth is quite a wonder
It just makes us all go under
A big cloud of hurt and pain
I just feel so ashamed
How nothing has changed in years
To get past all of the fears
Some folks live with everyday
We all need to find a way
To stop this wrong right in its tracks
Moving forward, never back
So all people can be free
As were making history
Allowing peace in every spot
Of this land, it is a start
To stomp out the bitterness
Receive good will and gentle bliss
Learning to be compassionate
It would be a gracious fit
Easing the hearts of those wronged
If badness left, love came along

Our Limited Understanding

What did he mean
when he said
turn the other cheek?
Does it mean
violence isn't the answer
and peace is always the way?

Is it to deny the natural
carnal response?
To challenge the older laws
that have long been ensconced?

Maybe it's a come on
to the ungodly
"Give me what you got
I have no need to be afraid."
Maybe he meant
our bones are fragile
but our hope is not?
It shall never rust nor decay.

Surely a punch in the face
is no threat to one's life.
If a man put a gun to your wife
would you just let her die??

(surely life is precious
but God have mercy
should it come to this)

Should we cast down our weapons,
trade them for pruning hooks?
Is that what Jesus meant?
Or perhaps, maybe,
it begs you to take a deeper look.
and gaze at the wisdom God has sent.

Does it not surely mean that hatred
can't be snuffed out
by more hatred?
There are many trials we go through
but one thing we must know
is that love should always be sacred.

When he stated
Ye are the Light of the World
does that not imply
that the world itself is DARKNESS?
It's a gloomy forbidding place
with many pricks and thorns:
why add to the harshness?

For now it seems
we see through a glass darkly.
Having trouble deciphering
the passages and what they meant.
What about Romans 13
where it says, Execute vengeance
against those who do evil?
To whom is it referring
and to what extent?

Our limited understanding
leaves us grounded.

NOTE: This was written in response (and inspiration) to Liam McDaid's poem titled Thou Shalt Not Kill. It's a very fascinating topic, and one where I don't quite have answers...

Violence Has Taken Over

Everywhere we turn in this world is about violence and gangs,
Everyone thinking they are cool because they can hang,
Until one day someone gets shot,
And no one gets caught,
Police don’t give a care,
Every night I have to say a prayer,
Begging God to let me live through the day,
Jumping out of harms way,
Living in the hood,
Seems all good,
But people don’t understand what goes on,
People hoping to wake up to the first light of dawn,
But only to go back to the streets,
Only to show off their heat,
No one seeking peace up in here,
You have kids drinking beer,
People doing drugs,
Acting cool, because they think they’re a thug,
This may seem like a bother,
But I’m always going to my father,
Seeking Gods way,
Just so I can hopefully stay,
Trying so hard to stay out of trouble,
Waking up to a neighborhood in rubble,
Noticing how gangs have taken over,
Picking up a lucky clover,
Wishing to keep my life for one day,
When I saw my friend laid to rest,
I made a vow to do the best,
When I saw my friend get shot in the head,
Wishing I would never drop dead,
Maybe some day the violence will end,
Only if we can stop the violent trends……….

Call a Truce

Whether you’re Asian or African.
Even if you’re Middle Eastern or
Western. Our action since dawn
has been a disgrace. Still No one
deserves to die since we’re all God
children. Our lives are equally worthy
and home to all is planet earth. Let’s
all unite as human beings to keep humanity
in one piece. No more bombs and tanks as it
makes mankind extinct. No more terror as it
causes bodies to decease. Let’s cease all national
wars for the whole world deserves peace.

Ahimsa

AHIMSA
======
I t is a cure to all of our diseases and
it is a herb from the heaven and God
I t is a weapon of couragious heroes and
it has never failed to fetch the desired results
It's way may be long and teadious but
it is quite safe to everyone and all
It's usage never ends and
it is everhelping to one and all
I t is not an empty philosophy of crooked olds
It is a fine solution to all our grieves
It may be soft and thin but
it is mightier than tanks and shells
it emitted two suns in this land
one shined in the land of India and
another shines in the land of South Africa
Come let us join our hands against the violence and
take the weapon of ahimsa against terrorism

AHIMSA THE TERM AND MAGIC SOLUTION TO VIOLENCE AND TERRORISM
[ NON VIOLENCE]

Say no to violence

Tsunami! Caused by a mushroom cloud,
Mommy help me! I heard from the crowd,
People ran here and there,
No shelter to be found anywhere,
Whoever unleashed the bomb did not care,
It caused massive destruction everywhere,
Bombs and Guns are made for strife,
Manufactured and designed to take a life,
It doesn't matter who's strong in might,
Common Sense tells me a fight is a fight,
Say no to violence its the right thing to do,
When you say no to violence it protects me,
It protects you,
