CHUBBY LITTLE GIRL: Ode to Bria Samone

I love her joyful smile, her hair in
curls.
A plump round face with chocolate
on her nose,
for she's her mamas' chubby little
girl.

What better gift for me in all the
world,
wrapped in pink with lace and
purple bows?
I love her joyful smile, her hair in
curls.

Brown stains caress her mouth in
one great swirl,
with a drop or two I saw upon her
toes.
For she's her mamas' chubby little
girl.

"I made a cake for you" she says,
the whirls
around the room before she strikes
a pose.
I love her joyful smile, her hair in
curls.

"A cake for me?" I ask the precious
pearl,
I touch her sticky face and spotted
clothes.
She'll always be my chubby baby
girl.

Hand in hand around the room we
twirl,
when we stop, I laugh and pull her
close.
I love her joyful smile, her hair in
curls.
For she's her mamas' chubby little
girl.

MARY WAS A HAPPY GIRL TO BE CHERISHED ALWAYS

Mary was a happy girl to be cherished always,
everyone who knew her was simply marveled...
at her romantic words that rang like merry bells.

Unfortunately, she died in her early fifties;
a precious life was lost but her memory remained...
Mary was a happy girl to be cherished always!

She was young, bright and beautiful as stars...
the moving stories she wrote were kind of sad;
Mary's big eyes reflected pretty aqua skies!

People came from distant towns and cities
to hear her voice so resonant and kind;
Mary was a happy girl to be cherished always!

At her wake, friends and family recited prayers...
her influence on them must have been grand;
Mary was a happy girl to be cherished always!

The new girl in the campus

First day at the college with my new car,
as I wanted to make it perfect.
Yes, dressed like a rock star.

You know! How choosy we really are..
As to our whole world, it does affect.
And I was nervous, standing along the girls with cigarette and cigar.

Then I met a boy, who lived very far.
A boy sweet enough, with a brain and intellect.
He made my day, as sweet as chocolate bar.

I had heard a lot of stories all bizarre.
About my seniors and what they object.
And like a hot cake, the stories spread in bazaar.

Then came a man with a scar.
I got intimidated and my voice trembled as I reflect.
But he was a nice man, who had just parked my car.

All my lectures were equal to tar.
And one teacher, was keen on destroying every object
By the third lecture, all I wanted was to run away like a jaguar

Once more I saw that sweet boy beside my car.
Yes, I think we had something to connect.
Now he is my best friend and we rock like an electric guitar.
Like superstars from America to Myanmar.

Girl In Red Cotton Hose

Barn dancing, taffy pulling, bobing for apples
Enters the girl with the red cotton hose
Riding in a wagon pulled by horse of gray dappled

Prettiest girl, girl of his dreams, her smile was ample
Asking her for a dance he's so glad he chose
Barn dancing, taffy pulling, bobing for apples

So much fun those community socials one can't grapple
At the notion, meeting new people where love can grow
Riding in wagon pulled by horse of gray dappled

Fun in the hay all the way as they rode as a couple
Now more fun inside the barn my she has cutest nose
Barn dancing, taffy pulling, bobing for apples

Bobing for apples showing her how to grapple
All the way down, show her how it goes
Riding in wagon pulled by horse gray dappled

So much fun with the girl in red cotton hose
Some day after love with her grows their children goes
Barn dancing, taffy pulling, bobing for apples
Riding in the wagon pulled by a horse gray dappled
