In this magical forest, in every enchanted tree,
There lived odd creatures that are so rare to see,
White unicorns and tiny fairies with glowing wings,
Huge, green dragons and a mermaid who sings,
So many stories this curious, little girl had heard,
Though, she did not believe in a single word.
She moved the long grass and peered through,
To find a babbling brook with waters of blue,
Her eyes grew wide and she could not speak,
When she saw what was floating along the creek,
A tiny, glowing fairy was sitting upon a daisy,
Who was gazing at the sky and feeling quite lazy.
The sprite was frightened by this sweet, little girl,
Who was curiously twisting a little, blonde curl,
The fairy jumped up from the daisy and into flight,
The innocent, little girl had meant her no fright,
She watched with wonder as she flew away,
And wanted to catch her and ask her to stay.
All of a sudden this girl began to slowly shrink,
In her little mind she had no idea what to think,
When a giant butterfly had just landed at her side,
She quickly grabbed onto it's wings to go for a ride,
She could tell this sprite stories she had never heard,
And wondered if she would believe in a single word.
Roger Horsch's contest - "The Magical Forest"
The Dark Wood
Far away on the moor, wind creeps quiet:
When the golden rays fade and the day's gone;
From a nook rustling in the woods of night,
Cries a whippoorwill ever and anon.
Thickets skirting and swirling untill dawn;
She wended her way, swept by Queen Anne's lace;
To be cloak'd by dark waters, heap'd upon
The sweet enchanted blossoms of her face;
The woods dwell in slumber, and shadows hide all trace.
In the bosom of night's darkness, she lay
Hiding behind the drowsy shades of moon;
Once gleaming brook murmurs under the sway
Of her gambols in the roses wind strewn,
Beneath bowers of a magical rune;
A dew spent lingering about afloat,
So shall the bleak wind before it dies soon
'pon the autumn wood, fading in dim note;
And souls lull'd to repose wearing the midnight coat.
The form it's been written is in Spenserian Stanza
(The stanza consists of eight lines of iambic pentameter followed by a single alexandrine, a twelve-syllable iambic line. rhyme scheme of these lines is "ababbcbcc.")

The sweet songs of birds,
We hand in hand across the
Pansies white yellow and violet
Tossing their heads in the
Somewhere the sound of falling
The sound of squirrel cracking
Calm weather warm sun,
White fluffy clouds forming
A passenger flight in the blue
Sun born in the horizon and
about to fade in the horizon,
Both our heartbeats echo
inside of chest,
Shutting and opening of our
Your unkempt hair flying
Yellowish west sky.
Heart shaped fig leaf's shadow.
If I could stop this world from
I would do so,
Just to be with you
In this autumn evening.
Enter a storybook tale
Where I can be
The heroine you hail
Lucid dreams of soft reflection
A touch heated with lust and desired protection
A breathe a gasp as we succeed
Join the fairytale with me
Valiant night within dark eyes
the right movement and I make them shine
like moonlight on the steamy hot spring
care to follow for a little dip with me
Trailing like the water at my fingertips
Grasp me around my hips
As close as the breeze on my skin
Whisper lies as I let you in
Lips mumbling up my thighs
bare heart exposed to the sky
fire burning in my veins
Am I a mistress of this lust or simply a slave
Trembling with desire
Take me till we've lost count of the hours
enter this storybook tale
Where I can be the heroine you hail
I do not know?
Oh, rest once more on my green pasture,
like you did the night before, my blossom:
Yesterday, the breeze took your scent afar
stealing the furtive and precious pleasure
that I shared only with the evening star
that courts lonely the pink-dyed moon.
Remember the day when a wayward twist,
while you walked among the flower walls
measuring beauty with tepid innocence,
left you bare-dressed only by modesty
and then you hid your fair semblance
with blue, red, white and yellow petals.
Oh, lay and let me feel your breath on me,
your chest pressed against the dry leaves
dew drops sliding down by your back.
Spring after spring, you have come alone,
stepping merrily on the old stone track
after the quietness that nature improves.
Beauty and nature share one essence,
Unspoiled by the time reaping presence.
You see my face and you see my expression but you don't know the real me that i'm
You don't know that behind these eyes that a little girl cries every night, you
don't know the half so why are you desperately trying to label me with some brand that I
would never wear.
If you'd look a little deeper into these pearly browns you know that I am not just a
cover you have to take time to read the book to really know me.
You can't just skim the back or listen to what other people say because yeah I might
be talked about but unless you dip into the pudding you will never truly know why.
Maybe if you looked a little deeper you'd see someone trying to keep up in a endless
I keep on moving but it's never any good I guess I underestimate myself or maybe I
just need someone to give me courage.
I see the surprised look on your face and all I can do is laugh, I bet you didn't
think that I had so much depth, I better you never realized.
So even if it's not me your interested in, please let me teach you one lesson. You
can see some much more behind the eyes of a girl than the cloud of makeup hiding her
In a girls eyes you can see her insides, her deepest fears, her insecurities.
Behind these eyes is the magical side, and if you can look into them first then I know
that your confident and well worth the struggle.

Through the lonely woods, I may head,
Upon the autumn leaves, I may tread,
At the secluded horizon, I may stare,
And only you, I may see,
In those symphonies of silence,
In those melodies of calmness,
In those euphonies of quietness.
By the silent lake, I may lay,
Till the twilight fades, I may stay,
Then in reclusive silence, I may walk,
And only to you, I may talk,
Through those toungueless emotions,
Through those wordless attachments,
Through those voiceless sentiments.
In the lone meadow, I may wander,
Along the untrodden paths, I may waver,
In companionless seclusion, I may hide,
And only in you, I may find,
The depths of oneness,
The bonds of togetherness,
The cozy feel of coalescence.
In the wilderness of emotions, I may die,
At the merciless daggering, I may sigh,
Through a million wounds, I may bleed,
And only in you, I may seek,
The balm of love,
The warmth of affection,
The heal of inseparability.

There's a girl in the garden
She's messing with your rose bed
Plucking weeds out from your head
And watering the seeds in your bed
But where will she wander
When the roses are dead
Will she come back for more
When they turn back to red
She can run all alone
Write this story in stone
On concrete slabs
Of skin and bone
her alabaster lips did drown
the sea with rage that fateful dawn.
how beautiful with skin so pale,
her alabaster lips. did drown
the roar of waves and shredded sail.
Poseidon's wrath on human pawn.
her alabaster lips did drown.
the sea with rage that fateful dawn...
