Blue Cotton Candy

Sometimes
life should be about
nothing more than
swirly upside down rides
and blue cotton candy
for in the end
pasts can’t be taken back
only relived
and the truth is
I’d rather live
happily
with my blue tongue
than die
with the past’s
bitter taste
on my lips.

Will Work For Food

I told my kids we'd see it, this movie, they couldn't wait.
We finally saved the money so we started on our 'date'.

They were so very happy to be on there way to see
this show that they'd been saving for even more than me.

Standing by the corner, he came into our view.
He looked so very helpless that I knew what we should do.

I tried to just look past him, to keep my spirits bright.
But, then I looked in the rearview mirror and knew what would be right.

The kids were looking also, they got quiet and so still.
My son's eyes looked so heavy as they simply began to fill.

He said 'Who needs a movie? There's good stuff on t.v.'
That's when I knew my kids would feel the pain of other's just like me.

As we gave this man the money, he looked me in the eye.
He blessed us all and watched us leave without saying goodbye.

His blessing was well worth it, I felt it in my soul.
I saw my kids' compassion shine and I've never felt so whole.

You

Just a few more sips
And I'm loving the taste of you on my lips

I like the way you move in my mouth
And when you start to head down south

You are the one I love in deed
Because Coca-Cola you're all I need.

Cookies

Cookies are addictive!
OoOoH! Here's one to snatch!
Okay...where's the chocolate chips?
Kraving too many of these treats
I want some now! But...I might get beeefy...
Every bite is mouthwatering, soft and crisp
Should I take another cookie?

Instilled With This

Dust covered crawled like worms, had no concern
Found on ground ripened apple’s bitter juice
Digging in gluttony without discern
Dark heart in matter chooses wrong produce

Climb from trunk to branches long journey true
Building without rest to sleep in cocoon
While feeding on nourishment from fruit grew
Rise from sleep to sail high sky like balloon

GRAND MOMMY'S HOUSE

Loading up the car, on a trip that’s not to far..
to Grand-mommy’s house!
We head up 75, it’s such a lovely drive..
to Grand-mommy’s house!
“Are we there yet?” “Almost, we’re getting really close”..
to Grand-mommy’s house!
On Francis Street we turn, sweet thoughts of past trips return..
at Grand-mommy’s house!

Feelings hard to hide, knowing the joy inside..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
The “I love greetings”, Ah, pressure and stress is fleeting..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
Warm hugs and kisses, from the Mr. and the Mrs..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
Place your bags in the back, time to enjoy a dinner snack..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
Pork sandwiches and tea, something special just for me..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
Sweat aroma fills the air, to the sunroom.. pick your chair..
at Grand-mommy’s house!

Talks from the past, wonderful memories that last..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
Funny stories are told, wow, it never gets old..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
Wisdom to teach, in a way that’s always in reach..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
Kindness and care, so much affection to share..
at Grand-mommy’s house!

When you’ve had to much to eat, you’ll still want a treat..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
Chocolate cake and pie, you’ll want both.. don’t lie..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
To the bathroom to wash your face, so many hearts, lips, love, and lace..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
You’ll wash both your hands, by the light of the lipstick stand..
at Grand-mommy’s house!

So much more to say, and many games to play..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
The Weather Channel’s on mute, Granddaddy thinks we’re cute..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
It’s getting kind of late, time with the cousins has been great..
 at Grand-mommy’s house!
When you’re feeling beat, head to the second den for some sleep..
at Grand-mommy’s house!

At midmorning we awake, there’s no schedule on the slate..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
Smell those biscuits piping hot, oh.. we like them a lot..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
Come into the kitchen, to see all that Grand-mommy’s fixin’..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
She’s wrapped in Granddaddy’s arms, there’s so much love and charm..
at Grand-mommy’s house!

Warm hands to hold, you’re always treated like gold..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
Love, faith, and trust, spoiling grandkids is a must..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
You’ve helped us all to see, just how good life can be..
at Grand-mommy’s house!
My Grandparent’s endless love, is a gift from God above..
at Grand-mommy’s house!

CORN-FIELDS OF ENDOR

Standing on a hill of Jezreel,
Watching growing corn in the field,
Listens she does to the birds’ song
And to the trilling crickets’ chirp.
The sun now pass the most far hills
Means the days’ work is over and done.
Soon the night guard will shut city gates
And all eyes will yield to the dark.
By music of the spirit of silence,
The visions of rest are made to dance.

Then in the middle of the darkest night,
She arises from slumber and the bed,
And leaves the sweet relaxing visions
She had waltzing through her head.
Laying aside all her night garments,
Off she runs to her nightly chore.
Running around the corn they planted,
Makes her sacred circle ‘bout the field.
Magic footsteps giving blessing
By her dance and dark undressing.

Soon passed the summer season
And away went her warmest sigh.
Corn in green and golden garments,
Stood in ripened splendor gleaming.
With its emerald sheaths bursting,
Send its gold rays into the sky.
To the harvest come young maidens,
To strip the ears of their garments,
Laughing under the spreading trees,
They sing the blessings of Jezreel.

A Kitchen Poem Prayer

God bless my little kitchen,
I love its every nook,
And bless me Lord as I do my work,
Wash pots and pans and even cook,
And may the meals that I prepare,
Be seasoned from above,
As we partake of earthly food,
Thy table for us spread,
We'll not forget to thank the Lord,
Who gives us daily bread,
So bless my little kitchen,
God and those who enter in,
May they find not but joy'n peace
And happiness within

Heaven's Rainbow Bridge

Heaven's Rainbow Bridge

green grass and blue skys
fresh water and food to eat
no hunger--no pain

dear friends wait beyond
prismatic spectrumed colours
heaven's rainbow bridge

~deborah buch©

*Note:
In 1994, William N. Britton wrote the , "Legend of Rainbow Bridge". It is a hope filled story of where all (pets) "special friends" go when they leave this earth. It's a place of "beautiful meadows, grassy hills...fresh spring water...plenty of their favorite food to eat...others to play with...". That place is called "Rainbow Bridge" and it is where they wait until we get there, "just this side of Heaven", so we may go in together. db

A PLATE OF PROSPERITY

For days at a time there is nothing to eat,
There is no where to sleep.
Hunger is a social condition.
It is a horrible physical way of living.
It leads to malnutrition, famine, and starvation.
It is a plaque and epidemic in poor nations.
First off there is so many children and adults with improper diets or nutrition.
Hunger affects about a sixth of the world's total population.
Why can't we get together, and try to feed the poor,
If we all came together as a whole we can do more.
Let's pray poverty away
We have to make this dark cloud of hunger into a brighter day.
Due to hunger more than 1 die each second.
So to eat a plate of food now days is a blessing.
About 750,000 suffer from hunger due to financial restrictions.
So now I ask you how are we Americans living?
But if we were all well-fed,
Let us not forget about the homeless, because half of us go hungry to our beds.

Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be
satisfied.

GRANDMA'S TREAT

Waves of cinnamon thrill my childhood senses down Eastwood’s stall for pancake’s fluffy batter browned choco bits riding on syrup’s edges and frothy heap of whipped cream topped on platter Grandma’s chirped voice begins to dance in my head her sunlit eyes egging me for rounds of treat. Visions of youth bring me to days, warmly fed, I end the meal pining for her cherished feast. © Sara Kendrick’s A Pleasant Childhood Memory

One Wish

As I close the door behind me… I stand upon the porch.
Every day I leave here… becomes so much more bitter sweet.
I found the money yesterday so I could pay my note,
But what about next month or the others sure to come.
I raised my children faithfully under this old roof, and…
Memories abound, like the raindrops that hit upon my roof.
Yes, I admit leaving here will cause a little pain.
But the day-to-day struggles have striped away the gain.
Where once I held on steadfast… now I waiver on that thought.
Instead of seeing comfort, now it’s the struggles I have fought.
The food upon the table… outweighs the comfort of this house.
But yet, my heart still bleeds for what will soon be lost.
How to tell the children… it will be hard at its very best.
I’m sure they’ll rail against it and cause me more pain, yet.
But I can’t expect them to understand, this old grownups shame.
I promised to protect them… so today I’ll continue on my search
A job or a little money may pop up from anywhere, you know.
All I have to do is keep my feet planted firmly on the ground.
God will provide eventually, even if it’s a step, or two, or three down.
Every day as I close the door behind me and I stand upon this porch…
I say a little prayer and add a little wish…
May tomorrow find us better off than here we are today…
And may others please be helped like us… as we try to make our way.

My New Year's Resolution

Based on pleading from
the seams of my skinny jeans…
Eat fewer HoHos

****Written for Tracie's Guetto Haiku Contest****
I will certainly keep my New Year’s Resolution. Since something like 90% of people break theirs within a month, I fight to ‘break the mold’ and always keep mine. Four years ago I decided to drink my coffee black and I still do…I like to be part of the 10% I guess.

Dumpster diving for pieces of foam

Think I'll give him a piece of my pot
Opened wallet and gave him alot

A nice twenty came on out
Wiped out was his sadden pout

Preying on all, there is no righteous soul left

Give To Receive

The cost be a benefit to charity I speak of
A bid for mercy a reward from He thee Almighty One
All who have fallen give in faith, so that they receive
Unseen is this present, only in spirit they understand
Selfish desires lost through forgiveness He has answered
Foolish to many the choice that was made obviously right
Turning of a page frees the once monetized slave
His life was the price but still there be strife humbling to most
A ghost now made Holy given to them headed down
This frown now turned to a smile that last for an eternity

two

water melon in my garden
like the sun and moon
just two…
”...launcher ready…”
steady my hand
tending the weeds
near a row of beans
a far away land
”...it’s not a good time…”
so I wondered
and thought of when
wars are just plays
staged in the hands
of writers like me…
I’d arm the nations
with radish leaves
squash for bullets
that unload seeds
Peanuts money
on my jelly spread
I’d share the health
giving lettuce, head…
”... is it a good time now?...”
who wants a cow
chickens grown
in crowded pens
suffering blows
in.human.e hands
glitters the water
between the corn
I’d sale on ships
into rosebud shores
and i’d grow my fish
in between the stores
”...I’m god in my garden…”
and I divide the rows
soing what suits me
in tomato groves
and near my basil
I’ll build a school
teaching the mint
just how to be cool
and over hear
the potatoes anchor
on stalks of beer
”...wellcome…”
to chi…
banana central
read booms of cheer
...but they say I’m mental.
lentils
are sooo good in soup!
my capitals
I declare are true!
I only cook
When I brew my stew…
and no one regrets
in the garden of Sue.
”...yes piglet…”

Wild Portland Marion berries

The wild berries of the Northwest
it seems every path you walk on , they are there for you to sample ,

Almost as The city of Portland itself is welcoming you with astonishing beauty, the view of a snow tipped Volcano , as if greeting you with a basket full of fresh wild Marion berries

The beauty, just picked plump , the color of dark purple
a fragrance to savor , what will I do ?
will I make a pie or preserves ?
Oh the pancakes and waffles , the Tillamook ice cream is a must ~

After rinsing the fresh picked Berries with water and dusting them with fine Sugar , a hint of cinnamon , if pie , waffle , or cake . maybe just plain ,
serve with whipped cream made from scratch and a leaf of mint .

The Salmon , the berries , roses and apples all in the Great Northwest ,
You may visit however be warned , for many have come this way
Many have travelled a far ,

For the great Spirit of This Northwest will encompass and astound you .
Begging your soul to stay and live the way of a Portlander .

Give me rain I say , for the green here will blind you, it is
like walking off the black and white set of Wizard of Oz,
and opening the amazing door to Colors .

Soy Sauce Spills

Soy sauce drains
Into the white, clustered rice
Stepped on…
spills . . .
Soy sauce taints
The whiteness of the grain
It slips out of my hands
No use...no point in crying out in rage
Though I was starving,
I'll just eat another thing and start on a new page

I'm hungry like a swine
I wish I can earn back my snack!
I'm as angry as a bull
I'm about ready to attack! Attack!
Soy sauce packages
Fall unto the dirty school ground
Stepped on
By bratty, conceited teens
They really need to eat their greens
Instead of junkfood and pizza
They should drink some water
Instead of drinking sugary drinks or
 Sucking on popsicles obnoxiously
Why did the soy sauce spill? Seriously....

Why is it?

Why is it that school's say that they are preparing you for life,

But really they are preparing you for more school?

Who knows?

That has always been on mind for the past few days.

THE WISHING WELL OF A SUN-RISE,

It is...within the tiny things of early morning, that moment breaths alive, it is within the tiny whisperings, that a melodye plays...like the very dear and the antelope, play home on the range.

so goes the melodye of heart beat, that plays quietly the songs of soul,

here a rhyme is born of day-light coming so soon, through the early morning eyes of the moon-light, and the starry dreams of twilight's transitioning...

into the light of a love letter written to dawn.

soul to soul conversing, as in this love letter, the letters just join hands with the words and just march across the sky...and at the end of the rainbow, there be plenty of golden time,

way down deep on the inside,

...as the inspired choir, of a bumble bee, or a butterfly, starts to sing, like tiny things that live,

flower to flower,
blossom to bloom,

watered and deeply cared for...

O' Eden.

I say, deep beneath the surface of a wishing well...where the pennies lay,

I wish a sun-rise.

Fishing

My parents always told me "Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach him to fish and he will eat forever" It always annoyed me. Have you ever tried fishing before? It's hard to catch a fish I have gone fishing for days at a time and never caught anything. So just give me a fish I'm hungry now and could starve to death trying to catch one.

Outside Of The Box

This is a tale for you regarding Pandora and the box.
Here we find an attempt to put back on the lock
A trip back to Alexandria in your mind we must go
Trying to protect but you can’t turn back the clock

What had tried to be sealed is not what one expect
Only wanting to keep others from trying to dissect
The library was vast holding knowledge long passed
Gallant was the attempt though evil did misdirect

Someone had already check out these 365 books
See the flames raised high the city did overcook
Spread them north and east so ordered the beast
Because at the Star he did not want you to look

Happy Thanksgiving

Having family and turkey is the sauce for the dressing.
All together giving warm wishes and especially blessing.
Prayers are the dearest thing to share even if apart.
Prayers whether said out loud or quietly in your heart.
Your spirit shared with others is a great gracious start.

Take heed of what you have been given each day that you live.
Heaven hears every word and thought that your soul does give.
Answers don’t always come the way we desire them too.
Never underestimate that they are heard above the blue.
Kingdoms of glory have no monetary goal to claim.
Spirits blessed in honor and true love has no shame.
God is here, he hears, yes he is alive though many doubt.
Insincerity of your inner peace will have no known clout.
Victory of all that will be given comes from your heartfelt soul.
Insecurity of your spirit shall defeat and buries your life’s’ goal.
Now warm your essences with peace and love for humanity.
God has set forth a plan for his glory and our life-forces eternally.

Christmas Everywhere

Is it Christmas everywhere?
Christmas parties and stuffed teddy bears.
Songs of merry Christmas delight.
Snow covered rooftops glowing at night.
Gifts of sparkling diamond rings.
Christmas memories and special things.
Holiday feasts and decorated doors.
Chocolate covered cherries, Oh! Give me more.
Trips to the mall to buy gifts galore.
Paying with plastic I depleted my stash.
Let us make a loan I need more cash.
Is it Christmas everywhere?
Are you sure without a doubt?
Because some poor child this Christmas will be without.
Give hope and love.
Give prayers and faith.
For those lonesome people on this Christmas day.
Is it Christmas eerywhere?
With war overseas?
People dying and starving,
and no shoes to cover their feet.
Is it Christmas everywhere, with so much poverty?
Families who go hungry, with nothing much to eat.
What about the homeless and natural disaster stricken lands?
It would make this Christmas merry for the wealthy to lend a hand.
With death and crying, and cold and mourning,
an unfortunate road to a path with no glory.
Oh! What a very sad Christmas story.
My home is my castle that shelters me,
but don't forget the homeless that beg on the street.
So, make this Christmas merry if you're able to give.
Share your heart with someone and allow them to live.
The best Christmas will be without a doubt,
God will bless you for giving to those who are without.

TEMPTATIONS

I will take a jog, but will not go near the grocery store
I will pass by the grocery store, but will not open the door
I will go in there, but will not go down the aisle where the ice cream is on sale
Oh! I promise!... I just can’t feel my feet any longer!

I will look at the ice cream, but will not pick it
I will pick it up, but will not buy it
I will buy it, but will not open it
Oh! Promise! Just let me have it! It’s on sale!

Open it, but not smell it
Smell it, but not taste it
Taste it, but not eat it
Eat it! Eat it! Eat it!

Ohhh! Freaking deceiving joy of calories is this!
Three months to lose, but took me a minute to gain
Promise! Promise! This is the last one, I swear!
I will just go to bed when I feel like jogging again.

Trees and Dirt

Trees and dirt I sleep on the earth, the dust the sand, longing to birth.
Oil on skin, bare,
sweat on your back,
feels amazing.
Yes! Im back on track.
Sleeping cosy as a worm,
unencumbered by any material possession or fixed term.
Free to explore, a magical universe,
I must implore.
No home, no chores, no bills to pay.
Just water, food gathered and warmth today.
A dusty cave, cute as a button, no slamming door,
just love in your belly, to the very core.
I love this realm,
just need more time,
time to explore.
Trees and dirt I sleep on the earth, the dust, the sand, longing to birth.
And return once again to mother earth.

Be Thankful

Be thankful for the planet we live on.
Be thankful for the families we have.
Be thankful for the countries we live in.
Be thankful for the money we earn.

God gave us peace on Earth.
God introduced our moms to our dads.
God gave us many cultures to learn about.
God gives us skills to use wisely.

Be thankful for our special gifts.
Be thankful for rich and poor alike.
Be thankful for the food we eat.
Be thankful for the clothes we wear.

God gave us talents to share with the world.
God cares for the rich and poor;
No more or no less.
God gave us clothes to keep us warm.
God gave us food so we do not starve.

Be thankful for the homes we live in.
Be thankful for the transportation we use.
Be thankful for the children we love.
Be thankful for who we are.

God gives us shelter to keep kids off the streets.
God gives us cars, planes, and trains to get around.
God will soon make these children leaders of the future.
God made you and He made me.
We are the leaders of today.

Golden Sun Of Spring

As spring's golden sun rises awakening the fog. Its light reveals fog's gray clinging tenacles all about. A Dove coos softly singing in spaces opened up when the roosters quieten their chorus..The tree's dark silhouettes stand still for no breeze rustles the air this morn. Those Blackbirds are back their voices fill the Oaks with lively music. Then they go down upon the good earth to feed upon the rich food available. I don't even see anything there but they seem to find plenty everyday. It seems they are here to stay this year. They usually come for awhile then leave until about the same time the next year. I wonder if they are going to pair off and stay around. Only God knows if they will stay or leave. He has provided for the troup to have sufficient food everyday. All they have to do is come and feed. We His creation only have to come into His Presence each day for a short time, open our hearts and minds to hear His Voice. He is there waiting won't you come and feed upon His Word(The Bible) and then wait to hear His Voice for it is pleasant to the ears..

Strength Through Struggle

Your path may be rocky and tough right now. But one day soon, He’ll show you how, to seek His comfort and His love. It’s time to pray to God Above. You’ve been given “Wings” to help you fly. Now’s not the time to question why. Accept with gratitude the gifts you’re shown, and simply know, you’re not alone! His Angels are working, both day and night, to comfort you and relieve your fright. You’ve gone through some suffering and some pain. Now it’s your time to come in from the rain. With open arms they welcome you, Alone or with children, but there’s work to do. Awaken each day and see these gifts. Then share yours with others and your spirits will lift. For through His Grace you have a new day, But remember to thank Him as you pray. One day you will fully see your place, And know that through struggle, you’ll soon see His Grace!

Your particular situation is not that bad

Your particular situation is not that bad

Written By Dean Masciarelli

October 11, 2010 (2:59pm)

Your particular situation is not that bad

At least you have food in your belly; and
a bed
to sleep in; that has a roof over your head;

Instead of sleeping on a cold concrete slab

That’s why you must always be grateful
and thankful for all the things that you
do have; instead of worrying
about the things that you may not have

Because there are people out there in the
world; who are less fortunate then you are;
and there stories can be extremely sad

Your particular situation is not that bad

At least you have food in your belly; and
a bed
to sleep in; that has a roof over your head

Seagull and the Penguin

A sea gull flew over the ocean admiring his reflection every day.
Passing over the shore, he saw penguins at work and careful play.
What an ugly bird they are he suddenly proclaimed.
They can’t fly and still they strut… know they no shame!

One day the gull was swooping down angling for a fish…
When suddenly an orca whale knocked him in the briny brink.
Snapping and churning the orca would soon have his way.
The gull was surely lost, if he could not gain the air to stay.

Moments before the whale pod arrived the penguins chose to assist.
They chose to distract the whale, giving the gull a chance to resist.
The orca didn’t care which meal he had as long as there was one…
He finally beached himself upon the shore, and still he hadn’t won.

At that point the gull realized, the penguins were really seriously cool.
They could certainly fly in the water, if maybe not the air to rule.
Now friends for life… he would scout for them safe passage to their fish.
Indeed, the gull flew away that day a little wiser, knowing he’d been remiss.

Everyone in life is different. He surmised… It’s not a choice they’ve made.
But now he knows each demands respect… in their own separate way.

Chollah, chapatti

These global delights

Filled with Caribbean sweet meat

A candle, red roses and

Humming Bird Moths At Moon Rise

Luna flower spread open scented blossom
In response to the full moon's soft yellow glow
So much designed like a Sand Dollar
Amazing the resemblence even with first sight

Humming Bird Moths drawn to the glowing white
The irresistable beauty and appealing scent
Ten were buzzing, humming drinking nectar
From white beauty by only moonlight

Ants were working even at night
Drawn to the goodness that will leave at dawn
Preparing a storehouse of goodness for winter
So that the species can survive to rule summer picnics

That scented sticky nectar must be delicious
Tasting like a very rich clover honey
So sweet that just a tiny amount sweetens
So many slices of simple bread

Amazing the blessings to enjoy from simplicity
The simplest things in life sometimes give goodness
That wealth can't provide
Sometimes wealth has gardens but not enjoyed

A Simple Grace

This world can look like an evil place;
Where a man is judged by money, colour or race.
When a child is broken by a ‘human being’
Yet the judge decides the evidence ‘not worth seeing’

This world can sound like we’re knocking on hell’s gate
Innocence like venison, on the guilty man’s plate
This world can feel like a kind of hell
All who hurt have a story to tell
But this world is still a beautiful place,
To those who have nothing - yet still say grace

Time And Chance

Time And Chance “11 I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. 12 Moreover, no one knows when their hour will come: As fish are caught in a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so people are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them.” Phil 3:18-21 NIV The race is not won by the swift, Nor is the battle won by the strong. Wealth is not given to the brilliant, Nor food to the wise belong. Favor is not given to the learned And death not claimed only by the old. Men are trapped by evil ‘Til their bodies grow still and cold. Time And Chance affect all mankind— No man knows when his hour will come. Wisdom belongs to God; All wisdom above and under the sun. Time And Chance are in His hands; Many simply must comply. God builds up or breaks down; Kings and nations to occupy. Fools are placed in high positions, And the rich are often laid low. Is everything understood by man? How does God work on earth below? If clouds are full of water, They pour rain upon the earth. But man is a mystery; Time And Chance not in his death or birth. We do not understand the hand That makes the seed spring forth; How the human body is formed, Or how the womb gives birth. Time And Chance are the equation That only God does know. Man is truly ignorant of how Time And Chance works here below. © Copyright 2012 Maureen LeFanue www.maureenlefanue.com

Taking Joy

One can take joy as eyes
glow and sparkle
One can take joy
in smiles for no reason
Wish I could throw a bolt of
love
At the residents of this city,
this city, this state, this country, this world
      Life is a privilege
      together we can partake
          of the banquet
As stars come out at night
and the summer draws slowly to a close
Let us taste the sweet wine
of love, of sex, of nature, of joy
As you enjoy
    the fruits of life
touch the reality
you may have missed
in your younger, more hasty days

Wonders of Wonderful Cooking

Whisking clear white egg whites
Cracking one by one
As they stiffen
They double in size
Isn't it beautiful?
Like a cake rising in the oven
A pie crisping up
sifting flour
It sprinkles like fresh soft snow into the bowl
What a Marvel!
Kneading bread dough
tough as it is to do
It makes you smile
makes you giggle
Then it triples
becoming a fluffy soft pillow
Isn't it magical?
When you glide your rubber spatula
across the top of the batter
in the pan
Flick the oven light on
and sit there
watch the cake transform
once a wet gooey goodness
now a light moist cloud
A Mystery it is.....
Read the wonders of wonderful cooking
In my poem up above
My little write to the kitchen arts
Try it
There's nothing that you won't love!

(Except for the cleaning!!!!!)

Spread life without rest from cradle to something heavenly

I fight often with forces of my own mental creation
So daily I practice social isolation

Get away from the action

Sharpen my reactions with personal meditation
These footholds build traction for the next generation

Build from family gratification

Unwillingly chosen to lead Knowingly destined to bleed
I still shall not weaze or let ground touch knees

Be the root of the trees

The creator above shall be pleased for I shall plant undrownable seeds
That shall sprout uncountable leaves which forever will feed

Selflessly give what they need

I quite consistenly believe
if you could squeeze
Substanence from these words like sap from trees
It would be much more refreshing when we breath

Spread life without rest from cradle to something heavenly

Starving

people look at me and they can't see...
because on the outside I look as healthy as can be...
but...I am not afraid to say, I am malnurished...
lately I have been deprived from the main nutrients in life...
I'm hungry for it...
although I've had snacks
woke up to breakfast..
and slept with dinners...
I didn't feel full...to say the least...
some1 offered to buy me lunch...
I told her she didn't have enough, she looked at me confused.
and I just left it at that, because since I've known her...a buffet is all she's offered me.

yeah...I've had some that cook for me...but they seem to always be missing the most important ingridients.
...I'll try all different spices...but I like to keep it mild...
I haven't had that full course in a while...
never make it to the dessert...
...so I guess I'll keep looking over the menu...
the menu that I've been reading until my head hurt's...
I need some food for my thoughts, some food for my latest heart condition...
I need to be replenished...and only true love can quench this thrist...
because I've been starving and my waitress is takin too long....

For Those Who Love The Game

We have been waiting ohhh, sooo long and now my fellows the time
draws near
The sweet smell of cut grass IN the cool fall air triggers the feeling we
all know so well
Clashing giants on a 100 yard field, a sound so dearly adored
By ones that love the risk and fear, an excitement with fans in accord
And a manicured field, suitably crafted through hands of meticulous
artists
Lines and numbers laid down upon grass, so green, so soft and supple
Upon those fields, teams do play with men giving their all for the cause
Sprinting so fast, hitting, slamming, driving all for ground that is gained
or lost
Bulldogs running with power and speed, rebellious ones defending their
goal line with greed
And the Gators ferociously trying to knock down the one that carries
the treasure around
All to the delight of a energetically, maddening, exuberant crowd
The Tide rolls in and the tide rolls out, delivering a brutal offensive
attack
All to the tune of grunts and groans, with crackling of joints and the
breaking of bones
There are Commodores that fight to give the foe hell, with spirit and
pride all fanatics will hail
Wildcats clawing to reach the top, coming oh so close, only to be
stopped
Volunteers that strike fear in the enemy’s souls and gamecocks fighting
toward a day it can crow
Bengal tigers that run and pass with a great roar, Hawgs that root for 10
yards or more
A contest of strength and quickness and speed, crafty decisions made
by mentors that lead
The pounding of hearts that beat with pride, outpouring emotions none
can hide
For it runs within their blood with steam, those fitted in brilliant
uniforms of their teams
With full speed ahead these men follow their dreams, for a future in a
game fit their means
Those fans, Oh those fans, their banners they wave, with mascots and
colors for them to display
The fans gather before the contest begins, an intoxicating affair
among family and friends
The smell of grand cookouts drift though the air, titillating the senses
of everyone there
Ribs and Burger, prepared with such care which those that are cooking
will graciously share
And they will in the drink and delectable food, then sit and converse on
their confident mood
The fans live in the pride of their alma-mater In hopes that their team
will not falter
And that one day the ultimate prize will be found, and their team will
wear the SEC CROWN.

Pink Slime

Pink Slime, Pesticides
And chicken thighs bigger than my thighs

And we wonder why there is an increase
in learning disabilities among children today
I say it’s because the process, that the food is processed and grown and raised, is
compromised by demand, money, greed or fame.
I do understand that demand is high
so we have to do somethin’

So to compete, we inject hormones into the very animal or plant that is sold for consumption
So now we eat these hormones and our bodies are stressed because of the added pesticides and herbicides and other sh#! that’s hard to digest

I mean what’s really the cause?
There’s more kids with disabilities today than there ever was
I say it’s because like the story is told in the verses, that knowledge is increasing in man and the result is not what He purposed.

Pink Slime and Pesticides..We’re eating stuff that’s been chemically grown inside…and chickens bigger than my thighs

Plainly in view will be done son Sun
To be undone this cloaked veil, gowns crowns

and nod a tray you pass.
That after money and after thanks
your smile comes with a laugh.

My Favourite Cake

I relish the thought of my favourite cake
Every layer covered in dark chocolate
With slices of lemon and apples
It is a cross between:
love and care
Sacrifice and flair
It gives out an aroma of happiness
With a tinge of sadness
Reminding me that to live
Is to dare to be rare!

A DRINK IN THE MORNING

Coffee in a cup, makes a cup of coffee;
just as an aroma from within, makes the air,

smell of flowers in the spring

...blossoms,
blooms,

time,

...a sweet thing, like sugar cane is to the tasting,
and the tasting is to stirring the dream,
flavor,

making flavored coffee
soul,

a drink in the morning.

broremann the angler

Broremann the Angler

On the pier where fishing vessels were tied up my brother
sat fishing all the while seagulls kept swooping and shrieking,
he blissfully ignored them. He had no hook at the end of his
line and when asked why he said, I don´t like to hurt the fish.
But crafty little Broremann was not as innocent as you may
think, he didn´t like fish, all those horrible tiny bones,
his mother had sent him down to the pier to try catch some
fish for lunch. He liked sausages with mashed potatoes and
stewed peas, now he could go home tell his mother fish didn´t
bite today, but made sure to put the hook on the line so his
mother could see he was really trying. An old fisherman gave
him two sardines wrapped in a newspaper, but wouldn´t you
know it the pair of sardines somehow slipped out of the paper
and made their way back to the sea.

It's Hard To Tolerate

I stubbed my toe-- OUCH!
Attempting to get order right given by my pregnant sister who yells out:
"More mustard servant!"
So I spread mustard on top of her sandwich-- YUCK!
I Attempt to cover the problem by adding a slice of bread on top of that
"JUST GET OUT OF MY ROOM! YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE!"
It's hard to tolerate my pregnant sister...

A LASTING TREATY

Wars cause only destruction and death
leaving behind scenes gloomier than itself:
bloody bodies strewn on dry leaves,
while the jubilant king falls to his knees...
thanking God who has brought him victory,
but then looking at his hands he ponders with asperity.

" I have built a kingdom by demanding loyalty,
accumulated a huge army allowing stealing and killing;
but none of this is mine, not even my castle and sovereignty,
I am a horrible king as others have been before me...
I must issue a lasting treaty to save many from dying! "

And standing on the barren hill overlooking the citadel,
he cried out as the wind brushed his long hair so curly,
" Forgive me all, from now on there will be a lasting treaty...
food for all and the best wine in a land that once was evil! "

Invisible's Invincibility

I am an invisible man.
Try and see me if you can.

Shy and quiet I remain alone.
Silent is my voice’s tone

No one can feel my pain and sorrow
As I hide inside of my burrow.

Shadows consume my body and soul
As I embrace the misty cold.

The reason for my unseen being
Lies in the fact I hate being seen.

This life and existence’s of my own choice
And I choose not to have a voice.

I am silent. Invisible. Inexistent.
Yet I am invincible, an immortal being

WHAT MAKES ME GET UP

What makes me get up
is the strongest coffee cup,
and the enthusiasm to live a full day:
either indoor to write, or outside to play.

Watching movies is fun, but laziness stores fat in my belly,
sitting on the coach, eating potato chips and drinking cola;
junk food won't harm my body if used moderately...
is there a sunnier, warmer place than California?

What wakes me up is the noise of a robin
tapping on my foggy window with his tiny beak;
if he's hungry, he'll flap...if he stands still, it means it'll rain,
hoping I'll invite him in and warble another tune he learned down the creek.

Vacations are far away, late July on my calendar of active man...
choose North or South, snow or sunshine?
Go skiing, or play gulf all day then dine
at the nearest restaurant, but my choice would be zesty Italian.

Isn't my lifestyle exciting and busy, not envying the rich,
or resent the luxuries they can afford along with caviar and champagne?
My pleasures are simple and inexpensive, like the sandiest beach...
you can come along and experience the thrill of an enjoyable day in slow lane.

Untimely Fig

There is a cluster of figs
One is good size not far from getting ripe
But this time of year on this hillside
Next to the creek soon frost could come
Ole' Jack Frost bringing that white

Devoring tender shoots and figs
Figs that are late out of season
So as to speak
But there is hope for that one fig

Maybe I will get to taste of its
Delicate fruit that is delicious
Wonderful to the hungry soul
I hope that I do; nothing like a mature fig

UNFAIR JUDGEMENT OF THE GOOD

Should the good be judged
for not having given enough?
Some will face humiliation or reprimand,
not by Christ Himself, but by folks who bluff!

There are many mways of giving,
it depends on willingness and feeling;
the most generous ones will give abundantly,
and those who aren't...will give little eventually.

As it ends up in table fellowship

Whenever we get together as confreres in the religious order,
there’s so much to deal with burning issues and other concerns,
paucity of personnel links to inability of acquiring  new missions;
indeed, a great need that our priority speaks for more vocations.

Like an investment in business where we cooperate with lay people,
our ministry articulates relationships with diverse cultures,
  a key-word in evangelization walking with the poor people;
again, it’s what the role of the church echoes in today’s generation.

Across the length of time I’ve spent in the growing mission,
one particular item that always reminds me more than anything else;
live the lifestyle of poor people - aware of their limitations,
closeness and aspirations that someday they’ll get an answer.

God’s blessings are revealed in many dimensions and situations,
  with strong faith in Him, along with patience and optimism;
one can move on and cope with hardly any complaint at all,
for he believes that God knows what’s best to every human situation.

It’s an endless stream of struggle, a continuing effort to better off the plan,
with individual’s cooperation geared towards the commonality of our vision;
that is to build God’s kingdom in our working relationship with people
where peace, love and justice would reign in every heart and soul.

Oh, after that engaging discussion, let’s share now the food that’s served on the table,
with all those good wines such as chateau haut gravet, montes alpha sauvignon,
pinot grigio, les ombelles, les glaneuses, les fondettes, les genets, vallee de loire,
made from good quality, with refreshing, toasty aroma, and weighty on the palate
their spirit keep us warm, aligned to glorious meaning that missionary life entails.

Breakfast time and a bowl of cereals

Waking with a start, preparing to face the end
eating next to nothing, cracking the bottle of optimism.
Life looked away in revulsion as the villainies committed
and lost into the book of vanity.
With the naked eye i see the world every morning, revolutionized
but big words puff me up as thought i was you.
A jarring note,a shot of morphine and get out of the rut
a perjury of illusion, the only blemish on your face.
I was deceived into the belief of something invisible.
Swashbucklers,mock heroics,phony patriots and cells
that proliferate so rapidly.
Populous mash potatoes, the decomposition of the corpse,
i can't take much more.
Filth has no sense of delicacy,i never boasted that
and the inanity of convenience put a bullet through my head again
So i open the window of pessimism.

We live with the manners of a swine,
enough to keep body and soul together.

Water And Rain

(rhyme)

I love my water everyday
It is healthy to drink
Lots of it to consume
Do it and don't think.

I'm determined to have it
All day and night long
When awake all the time
Water just makes me strong.

Most people don't appreciate water
We need to conserve it
And not waste it anymore
By squander it not a bit.

In other countries some people
Don't have enough of it
We're so blessed we do
Aid those with a bit.

Water is great to drink
It's good for you, me!
Cleanses your body you know
We all need it too.

When it rains it's amazing
It helps grow the trees
And all animals and plants
Maintain your body healthy too.

Every living organism needs it
Water is such a blessing
Without it we'd be troubled
Save it and keep sharing!

So Sweet

 So sweet
The lonesomeness of the city light street
has me hearing the sound of my heart beat,
I quickly fall to sleep, I wake up and stand
looking outside from my widow balcony.

I see two homeless men standing in line
whom I randomly see in this street,
scuffling in their packets from a handouts,
for good bite to eat as they gladly retrieve their treat
which is a pleasant cite for flooded eyes to see
moreover on the opposite side of the street,
I see people set down enjoying
a late morning sunny breeze in front of a restaurant
chattering, bonding, eating and drinking as
I share with them lessoning to the smooth sound
of the music, children laughing and playing
on the playground and on hard concrete street however
not wanting to hear the havoc of the noise,
and the rush of a saturated street.

That is a part of life... which can be sound and can be so sweet.

SEA TO SHINNING SEA

SEA TO SHINNING SEA,

...this is so intimate of time, as a first kiss of time is...so close of soul, so near, so dear of heart beat, so precious a rhyme that flows so intimately,

deep of time, down by the Crystal Seas...

...this is so intimate of dreams,
dreaming reality,

as the Crystal Sea so reveals of destinies galore,
sparkles,
destined as the night light of the moon-glows of starry eyes,
upon the waters,

...gazing

...seeing tranquility upon the waves...
watching to the depth of a dream,
and a sun-rise

being so true...

for underneath and within this a moon-lit poem of starry night eyes, down by the Crystal Seas, a vessel sets sail upon the deep...into a kiss of dawn...

Sea to shinning Sea.

Potbound

Coming out on the porch this morning after the sun had risen far above the horizon...I
noticed that my herbs looked wilted. Checked but not really dry just potbound or rootbound
in too small of a container..Life___how many of us are potbound or rootbound contained in a
container that we outgrew years ago___stuck, complacent not growing and soon will die from
starvation because we can't receive the nourishment from the source of our total being the
giver of life the One Who gives the Living Waters....In the next few days I will get larger
pots, fresh soil, and remove those plants..distrub their roots...Repot them giving their root

Thyme all summer..I will enjoy watching them grow and produce....What about me? Will I
get out of the pot that is too small and grow?

Le Vacance Pretentieuse: Tipping

Gracious smiles, a waiter waiting.
The service: quite nice actually.
The drinks cool and food sating
My average appetite factually;

Who knew they had coca cola here
In the middle of the desert... odd
Isn’t it? I ordered water and beer
And here arrives our saviour, god

And leader, dressed in a brown
Shirt despite the pre-mentioned
Heat. He never wears a frown,
Even at rush hour not tensioned.

7.30 comes and goes, morning
Or night, we arrive, are seated
And eat. The waiter is fawning
But nice, the food is all treated

And we eat it all up, fulfilled by
A fountain of beverages he will
Provide. Full, we give a goodbye,
And place tips away from the till

So the manager cannot see, risky
Business. But how to divide the
Cost? Calculators grant only frisky
Fractions, I only had a mint tea!

TESTED

There is a personal testimony and everyone's focus is on the group and on the
self and not on JESUS where it was supposed to be the reason eye won't go to
fellowship with rich working Christians meeting at a SUNDAY SUPPER to drive to
a pizza place where everyone pays something for the food even if they share it the
cost is still beyond the pocketbook of yew. The added price of fellowship with
world is loss of spirit functions eye am not suggesting we have meetings in the
desert with the hedgehogs but there could be a meeting place for all the
Christians like the fish doors of the early days of meetings they were in and out
so furtive searching alleyways for soldiers avoiding arrests and fighting and
bringing lots of food in the bags of fishes and the loaves of breads in pockets of
the tunaes fishes smile eye could just not resist this in almost every Church
there is a Kitchen and in some of them is love the people make the soup for the
homeless and the court appointed prisoners and even important people come.
Hang a fish upon the door of every kitchen in the nation make a place with tables
where the poor can come in love do not forget the love the soup is nice but even
slabs of raw meat are not enough with hate.
Eye could not write a word on yesterday the things that eye had wanted to write
left on the flight of lost ideas and night came again without a thought and then the
day came back this fable was born and eye decided to try religion again. The
focus of a lot of people is the congregation the error being life is not a middle
class house with people making money in a paper plate of life some people
need a cup of soup just to survive please open up your love first open up your
hearts then open all them kitchen cupboards up. There is another thing that eye
must say to all the bible thumpers not yet in the grave what does it matter what
the date and day of this my own salvation come the day of JESUS was 33 AD the
date that GOD was saving me.

Holiday Gift

The greatest gift I ever got, came with a year that definitely was not.
Health costs and a scam had emptied everyone’s pot.
The tree was bare with nothing to hand out…
And my son had to work thru the Christmas Holliday, we all sought.

We wished him home but he had to work if he was to eat.
And for several years he had not wanted, with us to be.
But this year had taught him we were better than he had perceived.
And he wanted to come home to hold and be hugged, you see.

At the last moment he got the Christmas Day off.
Our gift to him was the price of gas and food on the four-hour trip back.
But his gift to us… you see was the greatest of all…
For he wanted to come home and simply be with us all.

Twenty-four hours minus 8 hours on the trip.
Dinner wasn’t much but it was all we could give.
But no one noticed as everyone talked…
It truly was the greatest holiday present of them all… that we ever got.

Thank you God... your gift to us wasn't lost.

Curry-Crumbed Pork Chops

Panko are coarse bread crumbs usually found next to other bread crumbs in the

3/4 cup plain yogurt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons thinly sliced green onion
2 bone-in center-cut rib pork chops (3/4 inch

one-fourth of the yogurt mixture; stir green onion into remaining yogurt mixture. Brush
reserved yogurt mixture onto both sides of pork chops.

2. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Cook pork 4 to 6
minutes or until golden brown, turning once. Remove pork; place on foil-lined baking sheet.

3. Combine panko and curry powder; stir into drippings in skillet. Spread over top of pork.

4. Bake 8 to 12 minutes or until pork is pale pink in center. Serve with yogurt sauce.

The Story Of Job

The Story of Job I'm sure you remember the story of Job. God's blessings in his life were greatly bestowed. The Devil came to speak to God one day. "I'm sure Job will curse you if I take everything away." Everything in Job's life seemed to be getting worse. Through all of this, to God, he never cursed. All that he had-was soon to ge gone. His "friends" told him it "was his fault-he was wrong." He blessed God in spit of all they had said. He would praise God until the day he was dead. In all the loss and the turmoils. His body would soon be covered with boils. He loved God even though he lost his possessions. Spending eternity in heaven was his obsession. If everything in your lie was taken from you. Would you bless or curse God -what would you do? Is he more important than your house or s.u.v.? Would you give him up for a "big screen t.v.?" Is he your prized possession whom you love so much? Or are you using Christianity as simply a crutch? For one day soon-all you have will certainly perish. Is it God--or this world-- you love and cherish? By Jim Pemberton

A SWEET PASSION

When I was just a just a child...innocent and pure,
We would always stop after church.
In doing so it always left me in a lurch,
Because I would never know what to choose at the bakery store.

I would lose myself in the smell of the fresh bread,
Knowing it was doughnuts I would get,
Yet each time we went I would fret,
Because the smells of the bakery would get in my head.

Then, when I got older, I got the chance you see,
To have those sweet smells enjoyed each day.
When they asked what else but, "Yes", could I say.
I went to work in the bakery.

Learning by observation as the professionals would make
   The delicious treats...bread, pies, cookies,
   These guys were no rookies!
So began my passion to bake.

Now, am I known for the "Chocalate Chinaman" cake,
Just ask anyone who has been sated by its flavor.
I only make them for others as a favor.

I Feel Ashamed

I am hungry, what will it be?
Ham, turkey or that nasty bologna?
I am hungry, chickpea mash?
Spam or that disgusting Hash?
I am hungry, mountain oysters anyone?
Fish eggs? Or sushi that is "not done?"
Such meager questions on what to eat.
There are people out there who are starving.
I feel ashamed and should do my part.
To give the shirt off my back would be a start.

Glory

This is the story of a beautiful horse named Glory Freckled and spotted She stood but a twig Lost in a forest Of abandonment Tires and barbwire Surround her by day And at night she suffers The coyotes cries, not far away Left with no food Or water to drink She stands by a tree And hopes for relief Halter grown in And hooves overgrown Not a grain in that belly And left all alone Withering quick She stands by her tree And hopes a kind soul Will help her to see There is life still No matter how grim Things seem from beneath This horrid, old tree This halfhearted twig Awaits her relief As the days pass her by And she writhes with grief Her name is Glory All freckled with spots Like a giant Dalmatian Trapped in this spot At the end of her lead She was finally freed Not a day too soon She'll now find relief Halfhearted no longer And happy at last Whom once was a twig Knows Glory at last Halfhearted no longer And free from that mess Glory has found relief At Horse Creek Ranch* *Horse Creek Ranch is, to the best of my knowledge, a fictional name.

Gratitude

They lived and toiled when
The living was not easy
Weather and soil yielded no
Grace nor bountiful
Harvest to nurture body
Providence however reign
A long hard day ends
For the family of four
Potatoes and tea
Baked and boiled for all to share
Grateful expressions of care

that was then and this is 2010: (part 2) Soul Food

we're now in the midst of the Holy season known as Lent
forty days and nights of sacrifice as a way to repent
a time for us to try and get a little closer to God
a time to fast, to give up something we hold dear to our hearts

we're in the age of technology with Facebook, Twitter and texting
the way people now communicate has become somewhat vexing
always with the I-Pods, I-Pads, cel phones and e-mail
time to talk to eveyone but God who only requires knee-mail

when Jesus encountered the Tempter after His time of fasting
He had a wilderness experience that would be forever lasting
hungry and tired from all those challenges He had to face
now waiting on the word of God to fall perfectly in place
the Tempter said "if You're the Son of Man make bread out of these stones"
Jesus replied " that man does live by bread alone
but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God"
the spiritual Soul Food that will forever nourish our hearts
the Daily Bread that overflows into our spiritual cups
the Word of God, the Soul Food that will forever lift us up
as that was then and this is 2010
it's time to come out of the wilderness my friend

we all have moments of frustration, heartache and pain
we need to come out of the wilderness and by God be made whole again
to face down the devil and the temptation He'll put in your way
now resistant to sin and no longer by the Enemy to be swayed
to partake of God's Soul Food which will guide us to all truths
to trust in God and do whatever His word asks of you
to call on God and know that He will always have your back
now full of His Soul Food and on the right spiritual track
knowing that it's now all under God's control
now fed and nourished by His Spiritual Food for your soul

A MASSIVE LIST OF RECIPES

My cooking skills changed my sad mood,
I learned them by watching patient mom in relentless motion
as she put much passion in her tasty food...
who could resist not giving it a try and carry on that devotion?

In the steamy kitchen, she spent a lifetime inventing great, exquisite recipes;
a self-made chief in her own right with neat apron and white cap;
one must have thought she was on the way to the Emmy's nomination festivities
to pick up her golden trophy...oh, I still laugh remembering that!

"Don't stick your finger in my batter, son...raw eggs might make
you sick!" mother ordered. " Wait until it's baked,
then you can eat as much as you like!" I froze, thinking of no trick...
oh, that spoon dripping with sweet batter I licked!

Mom no longer could prepare large meals for our hungry family,
she succumbed to grave illness, hoping I would take up that unbroken tradition...
and it made her so glad, sensing the bond of her precious legacy;
a massive list of recpes was the everlasting gift to me with profound affection.

Somebody Loves Me

Produced 50 yrs ago
My master Pravin Pant Sr.
Felt it was time for my Just Born coop to grow
So he introduced me to some other chicks
Bunnies bats cats pumpkins and
Even thought of placing some lucky stars
In for the heck of it what a day of cellabration
Now he has flipped his lid once again and took a few friends back
Had turned them into lip balms but I don't mind
For they will stay forever fresh on my lips as I speak of them
I been dropped off buildings had been steam rolled over
And each time I bounced back with zest
So please come rescue us from this crazy farmer
Place me in a warm basket or cake or even a dressed table
For I m just a little peep looking for somebody to love

Answers You Seek

These next few days, listen to your friends.
You will find the answers you seek
And make many changes before happily settling down.
These next few days, listen to your friends
For the support and comfort when you smile or frown.
You will never need to worry for a steady income.
These next few days, listen to your friends;
You will find the answers you seek.

Triple Distatich-GODFEARING GRANDPA

Godfearing grandpa died over two decades ago,
he had an adventureous spirit bolder than any explorer of long ago;
and in his many voyages: from tumultuous Argentina
to Canada and America...he immensely missed
his faithful and beautiful blue-eyed wife Maria...
and when he dreamed of that face he once caressed,
tears flowed thinking of her with a man's desire,
which too often he bore throughout his dire...
and he could have found a companion, but he resisted that urge
by opening the Bible to remind him of his refuge.

That large barn, which echoed with the peasants' voices and songs,
was the labor of their callous hands storing hazelnuts, chestnuts, grapes
and grains to be sold in the town's market square...all that was his pride and joy;
and what made those long furrows with vines so bountful?
Their source was a river flowing through those well-kept farms,
nourishing them with its fresh waters that at times proved to be
very disastrous and fatal when its banks filled to capacity
when floods occurred making him sad, but seldom he lost hope...
as he glanced far, dreaming of sailing beyond the crimson horizon.
Godfearing grandpa was never stouthearted, he firmly believed in Divine Mercy.

Godfearing grandpa sailed from the Bay of Naples
on a ship cramped with thousands of desperate immigrants,
to seek fortune outside Italy after Mussolini seized power;
and he didn't curse his native soil for making him leave,
but kept on loving it with same ardor of his youth.
" I will return to my land and my barn as empty as a shell,
dreaming of stacking it with those crops ready to be gathered...
I will smell the ripe apples, the juicy grapes, the yellow pears,
the plump oranges with their strong scent in the crates made of oak!"
He solemny shouted to the reddest sky overlooking his rosy barn.

poets who are we - why do we write

Is it our sub conscious seeking recognition?
Is it our search for fortune and fame?
Or is it that we enjoy the word game?

For every question there is an answer
And for every answer there is a question.
Who are we that we love to write?

So many reasons and excuses that we use.
Are we going thru this. Or feeling that,
or heard or read something that inspired us.

I have come to my own conclusion
As to what a poet is.
A poet is the dictionary, the encyclopedia of life.
Our poems give words - LIFE, DEFINITION
MEANING, FEELINGS, AND EXPLANATIONS.

Words to us is like food to the stomach
It is taken in , absorbed and then let out
For new food to enter.

For what ever reason that we write
We can or can not touch peoples
Hearts and minds, and we feel a peace sublime.

We become the voices of the voiceless
Who are afraid or too shy to speak.
We become the mothers, father, sisters, and brothers
The lovers, the homeless, and the abused.
But we do not mind being used.

New poets join us every day
From every country in the world
I’m proud to say.

UNFAIR JUDGEMENT OF THE GOOD

Should the good be judged
for not having given enough?
Some will face humiliation or reprimand,
not by Christ Himself, but by folks who bluff!

There are many ways of giving,
it depends on willingness and feeling;
the most generous ones will give abundantly,
and those who aren't will give little obviously.

Then who should be judged harshly?
The ones who give out of the kindness
of their hearts, or the ones who are forced by society?
True givers are never asked...they give with eagerness.

In the eyes of the Creator, generosity is another virtue of human mercies...
when feeding the hungry with food and their soul with God's comforting words.
Well-to-do-folks and millionaries give away lots of money to charities,
but only a fraction of that amount is given to the needy who still knock on doors.

Nowdays even the good, who give of themselves, will be judged
for not doing enough to help the poor in constant distraught,
but isn't compassion more significant than any monetary amount?
Didn't Jesus praise the meager woman who gave all she had?

The Castle

I live in a castle.
By the sea.
Open to all for tea.
The drawbridge down.
The gate ajar.
The clatter of hoof beats.
Heard afar.

Come in and stay.
Hospitality our way.
The Princess in her tower, marooned.
Incarcerated for her cooking.
And at the Knights looking.

Many pass this way.
To the jousting and the play.
Hoping to catch the eye.
Of the Princess in the sky.

Horses resting a feast prepared.
The smell of roast beef being aired.
Best robes wearing.
My crown adorning.
The queen applauding.
Looking adoring.

The Minstrels playing.
Acrobats displaying.
A Clown clowning.
Everyone enjoying.
Singing come come.
Come to the fair.

A Notion Of A Whisper

A flower will start off as a simple bud/
It then will grow forth !
As when birds in Summer tend to move North/
Yet as the flower may bloom/
There is often found room in which to grow,

Have a positive mindset in life,

Longevity !
There will be many storms !
Yet we all must not allow them,
To dictate what may happen in the future/
Today be a positive light to a darkened place/

Live by example !

Cause many people are watching !
They will be looking for some hidden quality,
Hence, a bit of understanding/
Perhaps it's determination or a great sense of integrity !
Yet without cement to hold a brick it will eventually fall/

This isn't some store bought item that one gets at their nearby mall,

Let all your words be few yet sweet and sincere/
For far too many people in life,
That don't even bother to care/
Just then a little bird had whispered in my ear/

Yet none the worse for wear,

The heart is deceitful above all things !

Still who can know it ?
A true friend is rather polite and sincere/
To the one who will often show it,
Set the standard high for yourself !

For whether you fall,

You will know in your heart/
That you gave it better then some college Joe try,
Try to keep your mind on just one thing/
For this is the essential key to your success !

Earth Brothers

My brothers are much older than me
They're always teaching me how to live,
Like brother deer, and bird, and tree
And the bees, who teach me to forgive.

We take brother bees food but that's fine
He just makes more, being able to share,
He never wastes a moment to whine
But constantly hums his silent prayer.

Brother deer comes and goes like a ghost
Constantly in tune with one another,
Never disturbing anyone, never a boast
Or a complaint, he's my humble brother.

Brother bird older still fills the skies
In his faith he depends on God daily,
For every food and shelter, then flies
To God's feet singing his praise gaily!

Brother tree the oldest doesn't bother
To worry, and in total faith stands steadfast,
Lifting his arms in praise of Father
Who supplies all, his faith is unsurpassed!

I am the youngest brother of Mother Earth
But if I had to choose another one to be,
I'd choose the one that showed the most worth
So, I think that I would choose to be a tree!

Frightfully silly of her for, he flamboyantly let it rip

Her croaking Frog cost truly a princely sum of snobbery
Forgotten hopes, forlorn, besotted froglips of buffoonery
When the bleak breeze blights the bright blighted blossom
Betty beat a bit of butter to make a batter better awesome

Such a floozy to improperly expect a decent cup of coffee
I made it in a proper copper coffee pot, served with toffee
Later I saw Esau kissing Kate; at least me’ thinks I saw
The sorriest saw I saw was rustic on sawdust in Arkansas

HAZELS KITCHEN

HAZELS KITCHEN

How many meals have we children eaten there?
Although possible to count, it’s vaporized in thin air.

Zilch is not the number and we don’t have a clue,
Eating was foremost but mom had other offerings too.

Longing as we do for her kitchen’s sights and sounds,
Scarcely any scraps ever left for neighboring hounds.

Kings’ never ate better and it’s very easy to see,
I just look in the mirror at the extra inches on me.

This little lady knew more than just how to cook.
Calmly speaking without hesitation or a second look,

“Heavenly Father, bless this food.” reverential in mood.
Each word gave us a lesson, in her non-musical etude.

Now mom cooks in heaven waiting for us to arrive.

Watered Down

What clears the thoughts of grief?
Will it ever release me out if this confounded chamber of no relief?

With a sour taste of pride,
Your castle has been watered down
Will I ever find myself a thrilling bride?
My smile has been watered down to a frown

Release the tainted spirit
Gliding hoarsely in my bones
I rudely throw a fit
What could get rid of chanting gnomes?

Unfold these watered down regrets
Fiddling with my migraines
Hang on to the fishing pole...let go of the nets
Plant me in a jungle full of dreams and and treasure me like gold, once hidden in the dark some cave
Bring all your worries with you and put it in the grave
Don't you guys have any brains?
Am I the only one going insane in the rain?
Shame...

Negativity swarms in muddied roads
You watered down my sprouting growth
Your eruption croaking as frightening toads
Let your guilt be your oath

Let your suffering be sevenfold

Roaming from grassland to awful city,
I find you rather rude...
Your aggressiveness leaving me pinned
On this wondrous amount of gratitude

Let my suffering take its penalty

What clears the thoughts of grief?
I ponder upon this question as I sit alone in this confounded chamber, sending no relief

Check out the fields of crops
Once in a while, take a chance to water it down
Unroll your generosity
Thrive to gather your duty together

Take a sip of the wine,
A lingering taste of ripened grapes and aged
Eloquent and bitter in its effects and removes your senseless grief
Don't return to your old ways,
Rolling down on the ground as a drunken swine

There is hope that this garden will be fulfilled, edible and nutritious
Your responsibility is to keep the field tended and watered down
gently
Craving for its bogus effects, keeping yourself ambitious
Feeling high above the vineyard, reaching itself as a tree,
Wailing for its dandy sun to shine down on its hungry figure

I worry this obsession is ominous
Could you find another way to feel satisfied by bountiful glory?
The chill-boned feeling could be wondrous
Than it attacks as an ill-tempered viper,
rage-stricken and snappy

Once in a while, take a chance to water it down the crops
Unroll your generosity towards their needs

It only takes a few drops
Of wine to isolate yourself from doubt

Thrive to gather your duty together
So that you'll chase your destiny on its feet, multiplying the beads
tied with stable string

Soon enough, your hope for future cash will be dragging its weight
down to your chimney top

Dewali Festival of lights

Remember dewali in Trinidad
We use to decorate the streets
Then all my Hindu friends
Bring me foods and sweets

My table was full with
Food and all kind of goodies
Because my Hindu friends
Use to bring so much for me

Dewali marks the return
To ayodhya of lord Rama
He returns to his kingdom
After defeating demon king ravana

It was the victory of good over evil
In the epic story of Ramayana
And also the slaying of evil demon
King Narakasura by Lord Krishna

Ravana had 10 heads and 20 arms
He saw Rama beautiful wife sita
While they were hunting in the forest
And he plot to kidnap her

So he disguises his servant maricha
As a golden deer to lead Rama
And lakshman away in the forest
Lakshman drew a circle around her

And told her not to step out
But ravana turn as a beggar man
And ask her for food and water
Then turn back as he holds her hand

She cried for help and a fierce bird
Jatayu attacked ravana to save her
But ravana cut off his wings
And when away with princess sita

She threw her necklace downs
So Rama can follow to save her
They slay ravana and Narakasura
And they return to his kingdom in Ayodhya

And the people light the streets
And every houses celebrating
With foods and sweets and music
To welcome home their beloved king

And that is the origin of dewali
And every year on that date
Around the world every where
Diwali are being celebrated

Sorry have to end this poem now
Because my Hindu friends at the gate
With bags of food and goodies
And I’m drooling I just can’t wait

How You Know Me?

You don't need to know my name,
Probably my favorite game
Or the songs I listen at night
Things that give me fright

You don't need to know my name
Or the places where I lived
The girls I've tricked with game
Just those bridges, on my way to you, I've crossed

Probably my favorite game
Can give you a sign
Of why I love to win all the time
To score with the dame of highest fame

Or the songs I listen to at night
When I'm alone in my room
After a long days gloom
To sooth away my worries, to awaken me alright

Things that give me fright
Scared me out of my wits
Of whom there is only a few
And the rules I just love to break
To cover my mistakes
For I am not my name
The things you should remember
Are simple, like the day we met in December

Music Is Food To My Soul

Music is more than a passion I enjoy,
It is food to my very soul!
From the time I was a little boy,
It helped me maintain self-control.

Music kickstarts several passions inside me.
I love to sing and dance to a groovy melody.
R & B makes me wanna indulge in a steamy romance.
Hip-hop makes me wanna grab my girl and dance!

I can feel the beat, the bass booming from the speakers.
Like an athelete, I can show you some moves in these sneakers!
I can salsa, two-step or even break dance!
Music makes me smile and puts me in a trance.

My music must be played loud at all times.
The sounds put me in the mood to write some rhymes!
Some lyrical content inspires my writing hand.
Music was heaven sent almost like a direct command!

I wonder without music where I'd be.
I enjoy ballads and even rock and roll.
But as long as I got a melody,
Then it's food to my soul....

The Waffle House Way!

Customers are like bouquets of flowers passing through our twenty-four hours.
Breakfast, lunch, or dinner all 365 calendar days guaranteed for a full twenty-four seven.
“Hello Sir”! Welcome to Waffle House America’s favorite place to eat!
Some say we are the closest thing next to God's Great Heaven!
We have a confusing language of our own, the blabbering towers of the real “April Showers”
Service with a smile that has walked the many hard-earned extra tenths of miles,
Nothing computerized with files, just organized by our own genuine unique styles.
Waitresses are serving with hard enduring time and each crosses over a mighty fine line,
Master grill operators optimize a divine talent marking your plates perfectly aligned.
Friday and Saturday nights the party train arrives blessed coffee to the many lips we’ll revive.
Regulars and irregulars you’re served just the same, pardon me did I really get your name?
Loud ones, quiet ones, and even the picky ones strive to come back to us,
Here we bring back the basics of being alive.
Scattered, smothered, covered, chunked, diced, peppered, capped, or topped?
So do you want them “All the way or just partly aflame”!
Young, old, or different at being indifferent just being sane,
Especially when the “Waffle House Way” is to say the first “HELLO”!
“Morning Mam”! Can I get you your usual or will you be having something different “TO GO”?
Brief moments of insanity with the moods that walk through our doors,
Thank God for every single one of those Jukeboxes!
The quality of service opening an eye to the sly foxes,
We’d really be in trouble if we sold liquors!
Foreign, military, and even civilian are in and out,
Our servers are like the gold stored at Fort Knox.
So what can we get you today that you haven’t already had before?
“The Waffle House Way” America shouts!
It’s like being home because that’s what we are all about.

The Fat Lady Winges (2005)

She starts of winging
Then cries of binging
She puts on more weight
And throws me slate
Neurotic fat lady can’t see me for who I am
I’m a woman who’s a sheep but looks like a lamb
I don’t call her fatty so why call me bones
If I fight back she’ll cry over ice cream cones
Some are naturally slim and some are fuller
Sometimes it’s uncontrollable like your colour
Stop picking on me and sort out your own weight
I have food and not guilt in my plate
It’s in my genes so argue with God
I’m not anorexic my metabolism is odd

I’m not under of over weight; I’m muscular, lean and slim –naturally

I cook't for the Gods
A nectar so succulent
It abated on my tongue

My tongue was loosened
From a thousand strongholds
My imagination ignited
into flame
My soul-a helium filled balloon
on which to pass the earth

Gift of Poverty

My mother would sit there,
And watched as we ate,
She lied about eating,
As we cleaned our plate...
The clothes that we wore,
Were ones that she made,
Since she couldn’t afford,
After bills were all paid...
And I still remember,
Me shoveling coal,
While others used oil,
For heat through the cold...
So the room that we shared,
Would always stay warm,
While plastic taped windows,
Would hold back the storm...
Many will tell you,
That I grew up poor,
But poverty blessed us,
With gifts that meant more...

( Thank you mom now I see )

Gratitude

Birthdays come but once a year
A day we celebrate, a day to cheer
We all know the day we're born and our age
For birthdays bring us joy or change of stage

The day I celebrated my fourty-ninth year
On the other side of the world fear
Horror for a young girl named Heather
Who was swimming in ocean waters from boat tethered

Swimming around the ocean deep
Working up an appetitate for something to eat
Was a great white shark fourteen feet, whopper
Jaws powerful enough to bite through copper

At home I thought I had turned fifty
I figured this year would be very nifty
My father who was in his nineties
Reminded me that I was only fourty-ninty

In a land way down yonder
A girl named Heather was pulled under
Great white figured she was good meat
Nice and tender a very tasty treat

A girl named Heather was saved
That very day lived to be one to praise
People who worked to keep her alive
She praised God who lives in hearts and on high

Sara lived many years
Saw her grandsons through tears
She was the strength and glue
Who saw her family's problems through

Just in recent years in a land down under
A fourteen foot great white shark did blunder
Caught in a fisherman's net
He'll probably live this mistake regret

No, the fisherman cuts the lines
Frees his catch and shark from bind
Now the shark he named Cindy
Follows him around even when windy

Follows him everywhere he goes
Let's him pet her on her nose
Rub her belly and dorsal fin
She even grunts and tries to grin

Which of these do you think is the most grateful
Heather who is now disable
The shark who was spared his life
Or Sara the mother, grandmother, and wife

(The story about Heather is true. The shark circled and bit her right leg. Then circled and
grabbed her left leg. The people on the boat were hitting the shark and try to pull her into
the boat and the shark took her whole left leg off. She was only attended by a nurse who
was on the boat and radioed a doctor on shore as to what to do. She was 20 hours away
from the nearest doctor. She was lifeflighted to a hospital in California where she had to
have multiple surgeries and now has an artificial leg. The story about the shark caught in
a fisherman's net was really not true. The grandmother here was a true story.)

Water

I watched the raindrops
one by one they fell
they filled an empty hole
till it became a well

every word of yours is dew
like this rain I seek
the hole here large and empty
for a cistern of waters keep

Within I hold these waters
as a gift for you
the life within a garden
cannot without them do

The moisture collects in clouds and wind
their circuits round the earth each day
their routes can now be firmly mapped
its requirements to life portray

The bounties hidden in a desert
you won't ever see in bloom
until the rain its torrents fall
saturates the seeds entombed

Your words are livings waters
they must fall upon the seed
they cannot germinate or grow
they require this moistures deed

Mankind's become a desert place
where scorpions and snakes do dwell
life here is with the cold blooded
from the rainforest they have fell

Comprehensive examples have been left
in all nature and histories show
a better teacher than science books
if we observe what's here to know

The fabric of all of life
holds me like a wadi tell
like an archeologist
who digs the sands and dell

These nations want gold and silver
but true riches they despise
in the end pursuits of vanity
will damn those who think they're wise

Once again you refreshed my mind
when I thought my well be dry
the waters here clean and clear
not bottled with a lie

A Toast To Mom

oh the weather outside is frightful
and having snowball fights were so delightful

getting hit in the butt and head
then laughing cause you start seeing red

hooking on car bumpers for a little ride
wearing tennis shoes we did slip and slide

mama yelling to get off or you'll be dead
we never listened to what she had said

socks for gloves to keep little hands warm
even amidst a blizzards storm

soaked from head to foot
looking like santa's outfit full of soot

but what I remember about fun the most
was waiting for mama's hot coco and apple butter toast

on that speical Christmas morning day
before the Lord had came and taken her away

Furnace of Odor

Amidst the clove of reality and elation,
Lust, of incandescent sensation

Breathing taste into stomach and mind,
Odor, desire, all refined

Steam ascending like a creeping mist,
The smoldering heat shall not desist

Dissolving white, Mmm! flavor endowed,
Slithering upon the brownish origin’s cloud

Then the sweetness, a tap of infallibility,
Adding more flavor, hence tranquility

“Herbally” speaking, the odorous touch,
Finally convenes to create One and no such

Tea of Hayle, art to sculpt,
Tea, milk, sugar, and Hayle in cup…

Hayle: Arabic word for Cardamon

Haggis " ever caught one? "

Welcome world as you read this poem

Its about the Haggis

Scottish Highlands they roam

The lowland Haggis with legs the same

Evolution from the Highlands they came

But the truer beasts, rarely in sight

Run through the hills left and right

With one set of legs longer than the other

On the steep Scottish slopes

They don't fall over

With the world in recession

We have a tourist boom

Highland Safari's

Have lifted the gloom

So book now to catch your own

Take a photo, email it home

So come the summer, they hibernate

Get on that plane, before its too late

If love were a recipe

You carefully weigh it out
And measure it out in exacting proportions
With specific ingredients
You do not cook without
Everything you need for the recipe...
But I on the other hand
Go by touch and feel
With what feels right at the moment
My art, as with my love is abstract
Not perfect, but special and unique
While you sit around waiting to cook
Waiting for the perfect woman to love...
I, on the other hand am licking my lips
And enjoying my sweet, bitter, strange concoction
And enjoying every minute of it!
I may not have a winner, someone perfect to be with forever
But as with anything in life, I live for the moment
Knowing that every day is precious and fleeting
Never knowing exactly how long it will last
And as with cooking in life
I will let my heart feed on whatever strange love
It chooses to taste
And my love will taste sweet in my heart!

Cold

Your words are cold
They slice through me like ice
Your voice is harsh
Filling my head with hatred
Your eyes pierce through my skull
I see your lips moving
But I don't understand you
I don't wanna hear you
I'm trying to run away
But my feet don't move
I feel it
I feel it
I can't control it
Here it comes
The tears pour down
They blur my vision
They slide down my cheeks
It's burning
It's burning
But like your words
It leaves me feeling cold...

and 'Ladies'

  and 'Ladies' young and old
do you even know
when i go into the grocery store
and how they come all around me
and i
not even paying attention
as they watch me squeeze this and
squeeze that
and they being all that you are
some what more and some few less
and they
take my hand and place it there
and in my hand they squeeze it
they squeeze it harder than they should
but i'm not paying attention
and as i'm thinking about squeezing
that which needs to be squeezed
in my mind i am squeezing it more
and watching some become flushed
there faces grow dark and pink
so many
and so many my head spins around
looking down as i feel
all of that juice run free
through my hands
and all of my critical thinking
has left me it's gone.

Sly Ole Fox

Sly red fox sneaking around
The master's great estate
Watching and waiting for one
To open the gate to the crate

That housed a hen that was a ten
She was fat and sleek with plenty to eat
Rested, refreshed with leisure complete
That sly ole fox found a spot

Hidden from view so he thought
He watched as the master
Opened the crate door letting
The fat hen come out and explore

So that's how to get at that hen
I'll dress up and just pretend
That I am the master of the estate
Then I'll just open the gate

I'll get that hen that is a ten
And for lunch I'll invite her in
But in the pot of stew she will go
She'll make dumplings for me to show

The Meaning Of A friend

   The Meaning Of A friend

His old hands were cracked, weathered, and worn.
His clothes were so ragged, filthy, and torn.
His old grey hair was unkempt, and in bad need of a comb.
And I knew without a doubt, that it had been awhile since, this old gentlemen
had known the comforts of a home.
I stood in the shadows watching him with sadness and with awe.
And I thought how much he favored my own grey headed old paw.
Well I watched as he picked up a discarded sack, containing food scraps and an
empty soda can.
And I thought to myself how degrading, what hunger can do to a man.
My mind started wandering what could have sunk him to this low.
I couldn’t take it any longer I guess I just had to know.
As I walked up to him I could see the loneliness in his sad old face.
And I wondered how long had it been since anyone had showed to him a little
kindness, mercy, or grace.
I said mister I’m a friend if you’ll allow me to be.
I’ve got a spare room I think will fit you it even has a key.
I’ve got plenty of food to share I told him, and that I was quite lonely living there.
He looked at me and nodded, I think he said a prayer.
Well we shared that winter together he truly was such a delight.
He sat and told me stories as we would talk late into the night.
He told what had happened, and that he had simply given up.
How he’d lost his wife to cancer, I saw a tear fall to his cup.
As we stood there fixing to part ways, he said son you’ve truly been my friend.
He said I hope we can keep in touch, let’s not let this be the end.
He said I think I’m going to see my girl, let her know I’m still alive.
She had just had a little girl and I think she would be five.
Adios and God be with you and he walked out of the room.
A tear ran down my cheek as I thought how we first met, and from that sack of
scraps how this wonderful friendship it did bloom.
And I wondered was I placed there just for him, or just maybe he was placed
there just for me.
I don’t know but I thank God anyway, and that’s how this story ends with a new
beginning for all to see.

As I Seek God He'll Come to ME

You will find God when you seek
him with all of your heart.
Getting on your knees in prayer
is a good place to start!

Remember... A double-minded man is
unstable in his ways.
He has no true direction in
life when he prays.

Draw near to God and he'll
draw near to you.
His word will be your guide
in all that you do.

Hunger for his righteousness...
and be filled!
Drawing close to Jesus is
 what God has willed!

He desires an intimate love...
more than words can say!
Come to him now... with no more delay!

Trust him with all of your heart...
not your own understanding.
In everything...acknowledge him...
and heed his commanding!

Obey his command to serve with
body, sould and mind.
Everlasting peace and love you will surely find!

His desire for you to know and
 love him is never ending.
Come to him now... please...
no more "pretending."

Reach out today... and call on his
wonderful name!
His love for you is forever
and will never change!

Allow him to bring joy to your
heart and pure delight!
Please come to him now.. why not tonight?

On Knowing the Dark Side

How does one begin to have recognized
First it requires that one admits to one’s self
Do I live my life in search of perfect health?
Then the dark side has ye hypnotized

You see the darkness is quite clever
Once you wallow in its fear of loss
Are you starting to understand you pay the cost?
Controlling your destiny forever

Caring not for another human being condition
Driving in you a false perception of need
Increasing in you one’s emotional greed
See now thee that it has a dark mission?

I Flee from the Storm

I could wish to see down but I choose to see up.
I step to the well to take a drink from life’s cup.
All I leave behind become the pieces I discard,
Life becomes easier where once it was hard.

The sun filters through some gray clouds in the sky.
Snowflakes drift downward from a place way up high.
They blanket the ground making it fresh and new,
I see only my tracks as I start to walk through.

I gaze upon a bird looking for food on the ground,
I stand and watch quietly, without making a sound.
It takes it's beak and brushes the snow aside,
Below the surface is where the food does hide.

At first the bird finds nothing but simply doesn’t give in.
The snow is like a haystack the bidd looking for a pin.
As the bird keeps digging it finally starts to sing,
The clock on the bell tower begins to ring.

It is almost like the bell says it’s time to eat.
the bird doesn't give up and knows not of defeat.
As I watch this process I think there is this I learn
To get what you need, you seek out what you yearn.

Suddenly a squirrel comes and joins in at the feast.
The bird looks at him funny like some sort of beast.
There seems some commotion and the bird flies away.
It seems that the squirrel sent the bird on its way.

It seems rather simple yet there is a lesson inside.
There still remains food uinder the surface it hides.
It took a little work but it was always buried below,
Dig past the surface and the treasure will show.

I start to feel cold so I turn back for home.
I follow my tracks the same way I shall roam.
I get back inside where it is cozy and warm,
I find some shelter and flee from the storm.

Time and Work

Ecclesiastes 8:6NCV
There is a right time and a right way for everything.
John 6:27
Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life.

We wonder sometimes with great worry about what time will bring. We must remember that
God has given time to us as a gift. God was present at the beginning of time and He will be
present at the end of time.

We cannot fear for the future because it is God's hand on eternity. It is you who dictates
your time by the choices you make. We often feel there is not enough hours in the day to
accomplish our tasks. We often feel there is never any time for ourselves. Remember to ask
God to help you, and He will show you where and how to find the time.

God will put your mind at ease with time. Time is a gift, and everyday is yours. God wants
you to live free and without worry of time. He will walk with us every step of the way every
time.

As all of us on Earth must work to sustain our lives here, we must also remember to work
for our spiritual well being. Your relationship with God will provide you with the food for your
spirit. The food for your spirit is a great variety such as wisdom, understanding, joy, peace,
love, and patience. In this job you have only one boss and that is God. That is a great
comfort in knowing you have such a great boss as God. This is a perfect side job, working to
feed your spirit. Start your application process now by praying to God. He will surely hire
you and your spirit will be fed.

More than the city

I live in the wild

A gun seems unfair
Unless there’s a bear

I do have a gun
But I don’t use it much
I shoot it for fun

You know how things go
If you use them unwisely
You just never know

If I shoot a gun
Then I never miss
Even targets that run

Humble Knoll

Hello my Lord, I sing for the harvest from thee.
Just one hymn of praise, from me to you,
Thank you for guiding, my rows of seed they see.
Blessings of warmth and rain, you gave true.
Both sun and moon keep watch, by you they do.
Universal glory, given from your precious heart,
I shall always give thanks, to you from the start.

The harvests you have given, each year with love.
Blessed are we that partake, of what you provide.
Seeds planted in chastity, transcended from above.
Your glorious power enriches the land in pride.
Nurtures our bodies, feeds our soul, as you decide.
Hear these words, though meager from my soul.
I pray, for a harvest of love, upon this humble knoll.

Life As We Know It

We live in a world that's hostile.
Where things seem impossible.
What we believe to see appears to be visible.
The truth lies with our lives like unburied fossils.
Only we can make our dreams possible.
The truth is always revealed before our sight.
Who don't want to be treated right?
Hate and evil will never have victory.
There is a plaque of depression and misery.
We the human race must continue to rebuke the enemy.
Just in case you didn't notice we're in a spiritual war.
Things we don't need or want we just crave for more.
Time has expired.
We treat Jesus like He is for hire.
What happen to our country's legacy?
Now days can we still define democracy.
The stories we now tell will never end.
But will they ever begin.

In my neighbor heart

Love to those that feel unloved

Happiness to those that only
Feel sad

I would like to make a difference

To all the weary people’s

I want to feed and fill the empty
Stomachs

Of the people that has no food

All the crying children without

Anything to eat

Milk for the small babies and the
Children as well

If I could feed those empty stomach

I will feel more at peace

To make a difference in someone life
That truly need that helping hand

God I’m sending this letter out you
With love

Please grant the hungry people today
To get a healthy meal

I pray to you my God, in this letter I
Send to you

Just give me strength to wipe those
Babies tears

Feed and cure their little hurting
Stomachs

From lack of food and medical care

Well, Lord this is all for now but I
Will be getting back with you

For this world is filled with so much
Meanest and strife

Lord, we need all the help that you
Can give

Just to get thru this day..

Eucharist - in its spiritual realm

Along with Jesus' discourse as the Bread of Life,
bears a powerful meaning of his divinity.
It's a metaphor with spiritual truth,
that identifies himself as food for our souls.

As a sign of his broken body and his shed blood;
the inner call reflects to abide in him.
We partake of the meal, a sacred meal,
to make us one with him, abiding in the Lord Jesus Christ.

What an experience of joy to receive him!
with a great deal of gratitude and reflection.
It's a spiritual fulfillment, a source of strength
that enables one to sustain his life amid struggles.

The Eucharist we celebrate each day
draws us to believe that there's hope.
As a spiritual food that makes us grow,
we're hopeful to embrace life and start anew.

Trouble Moving

So you sit there and ask what am I to do?
First one needs to make a choice of truth
Then all need to reflect it in the booth
Well I say that it’s really up to you

But first take time to gather up knowledge
There is always time if life if want to make it
The time is now to stand up and take it
Contemplate and pray then you acknowledge

Then you will find more who are willing to stand
Spreading love and peace without remorse
Even though it will bring many to discourse
This I say will lead us to the promise land

Process of Growth

Nature provides equal opportunity to grow,
Plants, animals, birds and human has growth, process is slow.
Heat, cold, air and soil has fertilisation for food,
Rain helps for everyone growth that is fruit or wood.

A Lion is non-vegetarian; his food is only meat,
He has a terror for animals and a human defeat.
Elephant is vegetarian greenery is his food,
A Man shares his burden when he has a big load.

He uses Lion and elephant to train for a circus,
He seeks only enjoyment when he feels he is fuss.
Elephants win the battles for a man,
He fights against an enemy when he is train.

Animals eat animals, too birds and sects,
They also eat grain and fruit for their pickets.
A Fish eats only fish but everyone eats fish,
Only a shark has attack for his tasty dish.

A human eats food, fruit and meat for energy,
He takes vitamins and minerals for heat clergy.
Iron keeps us warm helps blood to maintain strength,
Vegetables and fruit help a person for a term length.

Obesity, blood pressure, Angina and heart attack,
Garlic, Ginger, onion comes in a kitchen back.
Blood cholesterol, clouts and arthritis,
When he feels sick he opens, a vegetable lights.

A person learns about his food when he is weak,
He learns to cook a soup, carrot, mushroom and leak.
Celery, lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes he eats fresh,
Cauliflower, peas, potatoes and broccoli, he boils dish.

Cheese, Milk, sugar and salt, make a bread tasty,
Chocolate, cherry and flour make a pleasure pastry,
Chips and crisps, young food, fry, grill and cooking,
Chutney, sauce and vinegar he orders for a taste booking,

Air, water and food, a natural system for existence,
What is right to eat or wrong a man seeks balance?
A Man likes to enjoy life, healthy body and mind,
Younger generation and memories he lives behind.

The Thanksgiving Table

Dear Heavenly Father as we bow our heads today
We join in prayer for the blessings that you have sent our way
Giving thanks for all the joy you brought to us not only in time of play
Reaching out and also helping others when their lives are in such dismay
Gathering together at the family table for a feast of array Thanking you Lord in so
many different ways We thank you for the air that we breath and need each day
Also for giving us our children as we watch them grow into mature adults before
they stray From the homes where we gather thoughts and say prayers to keep
our children from harms ways We thank you Lord for the sun and the engery that
it protrays And for the eagles and birds that soar in our skies of blue and grey
Also for the green grass and farmers fields made of golden hay As they harvest
our foods that is brought to our tables in so many different ways But most of all
Lord we give thanks to you for making the family come together today And joining
in the prayers and thanking you for the beautiful arrays From a family that has
been torn apart but still has time to gather and pray As we give thanks for our
daily blessings in our own speical way While gathered together at the family
table on this Thanksgiving Day

                                                    {Amen}

All across the land
Many will not understand

Crawling like worms
Failing or discern

The reasons why the suffer
Know that you all are tougher

Dwelling in you He resides
Just asking you to abide

No longer shall the One tolerate
The time has come to obliterate

Spitting in this retort
You all have his support

Keep your reframe firm
Ignore all material concern

Just see things from his point of view
Then in you His Spirit will renew

Why is life so mysterious?
Why is living so bacterious?
When I were a child,
My relations were all mild,
What was wrong in my growth?
If natural growth has ugly myth,
I lost my path and broken my heart.
Why is human grace so factecious?

just hungry

i passed by a guy
just the other day
in his hand he held
a sign that read
just hungry
i felt the need to ask my peers
for permission
as i labeled myself
a reborn christian
but i removed this thought from my head
not remembering the man
i should have fed

i walked through the doors
of the discount store
thinking
how could i feed myself
and this hungry guy
i shopped around the isles
searching for bargain deals
and cheap nutritious meals
only for myself
as i was not in need
only consumed by my greed

upon leaving the store
i met a girl by the door
asking for donations in the name of the lord
so i gave my ten percent
of the money that i spent
and forgave myself of this deed
leaving the man in need
as i tried not to listen
to the voice that made me a christian
getting rid of the kind voice in my head
for the man i should have fed
he who held the sign that read
just hungry

Life

Sometimes I wonder what things I’ll do in life
Will I have a wife, a soul mate, a life-long friend, a companion till the end?
Will I be left on my own, by myself to fend?
Send me to a place where your looks don’t matter
To a place where you can be skinnier or fatter
To a place where your confidence and self esteem wont shatter
A place where you won’t be judged if you eat a full platter

I wish my emotions were an optional choice
To be able to drop them, escape the insulting voice
I wish I was a toddler, back when all that mattered was toys
Where it didn’t make a difference if you liked girls or boys
People’s words are like an army, waiting to be deployed
And when they deport, your feelings are destroyed
You’re on your own left thinking if there is anyone on your side
But you don’t go and search, you feel the need to hide
They have created a monster, it’s now living inside
It's tearing down your courage, and eating your pride
You find yourself asking if your parents have lied.
Telling you all these years, you're perfect in every way shape and size
Even now when you hear that, a part of you dies
Because it’s not what you believe, according to statistics
You've been judged throughout life, on your appearance and characteristics
Facing the world’s most blunt and cold hearted critics
It’s inevitable to judge, but don't be so quick to attack
You don't know that person, and that’s just a fact.
The one you made fun of, lost everything, house burned down, he didn’t have time to pack
His father had left when he was young; his mother was addicted to crack
What we all take for granted, is what this boy lacked.
All I’m asking, is to think before you speak
Even though you don't know it, it’s making the person weak
Just focus on yourself, seek what you want from life
Don't be the person who's the reason, on their wrist, lays a knife.

You and I

For the tears I cry u hold me tight
Are the tears that turn into dreams at night.
I peep into, my window glass
And watch the brightest stars go pass.
For the smiles I make
Are the ones you gave
That helped me up and be so brave.
When I fall,you catch me
and hold me close
the love you give me
helps me grow the most
I seek no danger,
You guide me way
So when I need to cry
Im down to pray.
At times when im lonely
I pled for help
Thanks for being there for me
And the promises you kept.

Chosen

I was chosen before my time.
Listen very close this is not just a rhyme.
My life was known before I was born yet,
Time had to come around the horn.
Now I am here with a job to do,
Part of my job is to watch over you.
Yes I am a keeper and I must be kept,
For another brother’s died while I have slept.
The poison metal pipes are going around,
Flowing in, flowing out and all around town.
Earning a day’s wages and still in need,
Then the poison metal pipes help kill a seed.
We’ve been accused for doing most of the wrong,
And if we’re not careful, we’ll believe all the long.
In the midst of it all, others round about me fall,
STILL, I am destined to answer my call.
My call is from above to both young and old,
So what I am telling you, I am only being told.
By one most know of, and they may know OF Him well,
But its not enough to know of,
THAT’S THE REASON WHY OTHERS FELL!!!
You see I owe you as a brother, and I owe Him as a Father
So I am here for Him, and there’s really no bother.
I will do what I’ve been destined to, this I know is right.
During the morning, during the evening, and into the night.
I’ve been called, picked out, with a mission ahead.

And if you don’t take heed, you may wind up dead.
You see, dead is being more than without a beat,
It is also being held under another’s feet.
Not thinking for yourself, influenced by the WRONG others,
Persuaded by some BOYS, and then, becoming mothers.
Not following the wisdom of our parents from old,
Not wanting to take heed to what we are told.
We are leaders by nature and
We can’t help this,
Still the way some of us are leading,
Others will never reach this bliss.
You can not be a leader less you have someone to follow,
But whom can you lead, the strong or the hollow.
We do not have long in this earthly place,
Yet its not about the color, the gender or the race.
Its about being a soldier and the chain of command,
The torch has now been put into my own hands.
You see they’re many torches, all in the hands of the same,
Strong minds, strong willed with the backup of
“THE NAME”
The end is soon to come so I must go now,
But you have already been chosen for right here and now.
You are the next leaders, I would give it some thought,
Because you have not only been “CHOSEN”, but;
You’ve also been

BOUGHT !!!

I EXIST FOR A PURPOSE

I have many qualities and talents
that make me popular and likeable for my kindness,
and unpretentious gallantry;
ask me if I'm blue-blooded like the gentry!

I exist for a purpose and I intend reveal my cause;
honesty and shrewdness will guard me against errors...
do weeds grow in a well-maintained and embellished garden?
A grubby garden attracts gloominess, mine appeals to sunshine!

I have traveled down rough and dark roads,
grabbing the attention of bad-wishers,
who handed me gooseberries, not gorse;
it was a clumsy course swarming with rocks and thorns!

I exist for a purpose that puts fear into my unseen enemies,
who grumble and judge more than the-assumed-righteous-ones,
they are obsessed with their perfection and like to impose it on me;
but do they know that I control my destiny by spinning my fortune' wheel?

My belief is not to accept anything of worthless beauty,
I love to hide myself in the grain fields, and shake their stalks...
to celebrate a harvest more bountiful than sunflowers;
and I imagine myself gorging on fresh-baked bread daily!

O golden grains, your seeds satiate many that earn their hard living,
saying grace at mealtime...as God gives them His blessing;
and those hands that cut the husks off are much detested
by the elite with a feeling of inferiority and a lack of gratitude!

I exist for a purpose to bring glory to the Heavens,
that magnificently dazzle upon me in times of desperate need;
pity is an unacceptable word whenever they attempt to make a deal;
I change no direction and try not to fall into the trap of moral weakness!

New To Old Experience

The Cycle will always reset
Undergoing that what is foretold
Is up to every human to behold
The will’s of (wo)man will beget

So all of these lives have been done before
Go through all are we these metaphoric changes
Initiating with forgiveness everything rearranges
Multiplying cells always starts at the core

All of you just wanting to know more
He says, all you ask then to receive
Want to live a new life then believe
What else better have you to explore?

IRRESISTIBLE

His love so divine
I’m glad he is mine
Always so loving and caring
When he is in your life it has meaning
He gives me faith to never be blind
When I call his name he is always on time
His love is so merciful
And his blessings are plentiful
To the world Jesus is the light
To praise and glorify Him my pen takes flight
Thousands of stories are told of Him
His blood rids us of sin
I think of my Lord night and day
With folded hands and bent knees to Jesus I pray
He teaches, he loves, he inspire, he brings wealth, he saves, and heals
My Jesus is so real
The King of Kings is so incredible
He is just irresistible!

Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with
all your strength.

Psalm 89:1-2 I will sing of the LORD’S great love forever; with my mouth I will make your
faithfulness known through all generations. I declare that your love stands firm forever,
that you established your faithfulness in heaven itself.

Mansions in the Sky

The Stars lit up the skies and nothing could I see,
Except these huge Mansions that fly in the sky.
Swirling winds picked me up and carried me high.
Making trails in the clouds it was just me.
It was breathtaking just to be,
Afloat the top of mansions that fly.
The Moon was bright and the Sun a bit dry.
They were huge and magnificent to oversea.
Mansions in the sky that fly above it all.
Mesmerized I went in and found no end.
None were too small.
None occupied, not even by a friend!
Mansions that fly fill a brilliant sky,
All emptied but not by I!

Hunger zone

For years I have fought
And battled with weight
Now disabled and in pain
I fear it's too late

I can't eat this
I can't eat that
Diets are fads
They make me fat

I've tried the patches
They've taken my money
No magical cure for
My big fat tummy

I wasn't always as big
You should know
It was having a baby
That made me grow so

I can't stick to the books
For so much I don't like
If I have to eat muck
They can go take a hike

I've tried the tablets
But for me they don't suit
Not eating sufficient
The problems the root

Try three meals a day
Instead of just one
A plate that's for sandwiches
For lunch to put on

I'm trying to lose
Of second week I am now
I'm not using scales
Or measuring how

I'm combining it all
From the net I can find
A menu that suits
That does not blow the mind

It's working quite well
At the moment I know
For in smaller trousers
My belly will go

I can fasten my blouse
And the buttons don't gape
My cleavage is shrinking
There's ample to take

If I continue to lose
At this sensible rate
My clothes will not fit
And I'll drop all the weight

But as third week approaches
I begin to have doubts
The weight tends to stable
And I tend to drop out

I need to stand firm
In resolve and give time
For my body to shape
And bring back its waist-line

A little encouragement
Goes a long way
And the poetry keeps
The snacking at bay

So if I seem busy
With armfuls of writes
Forgive me for starving off
Hungers of life

Right Now (Part 2)

Right now, now a father is crying with his face in his hands,
He never expected his son to die, he had such better plans,
But some punk wasn't looking at the kid crossing the street,
He didn't care, just kept driving with his music sounding so sweet.

Right now, some bastard is upstairs beating his wife,
He promised that he'd love her for the rest of his life,
She plans to commit suicide wondering what she did wrong,
When it was this jerk who had the major issues all along.

Right now, a man is driving to his job where he'll get fired,
You see he never got it right, always had trouble getting inspired,
Now he is driving home and stops slowly at the ridge,
He can't break it to his wife so he jumps off the bridge.

Right now, a cute girl is kissing a guy she just met,
She realizes she doesn't even know the man's name yet,
He tells her he loves her as he ties her hands and feet,
Surely this wasn't her online date she was suppose to meet?

Right now a young soldier is bleeding on himself in a war,
This man is going to die and he doesn't even know what for,
He and his squad always performed so well, with such aplomb,
Now he won't make it home because of the maniac's suicide bomb.

Right now, there is someone who hasn't eaten all week,
The poor man is so famished he can barely even speak,
That man would give a fortune to have the food you throw away,
Yet so many people will just throw food in the trash night and day.

Right now, some dude is in prison serving his life,
Writing his final letter to his beautiful son and wife,
Wrongly accused by those sworn to serve and to protect,
The Judge said too bad when he said, your honor I object.

Right now, you're probably wondering how some people cope,
Maybe you've been lucky and time has given you reason for hope,
Right now, I'm asking you to just stop and think next time,
If you do nothing to help someone, this was a wasted rhyme,
Yes, if you turn away, you're guilty of humanity's worst crime.

Judge and the Grace

Adam ate the apple
he wanted to judge for himself
and we are all his children

Judgements of the judges
the wise judge all things
it would be wise not to judge at all
those who judge will be judged
to judge our very nature
some will judge angels
and how can we judge angels
when we cannot even recognize the devils within
if we profess to recognize devils then sin
how is it that we can judge ourselves worthy
to inherit the kingdom of heaven

into the fires again, Oh man
if we inherit the Kingdom Of Heaven
what will we do when we get there
and how is it that you do not know
we are home

I am the Lad

Fifties and hundreds are set in companies upon the grass;
Is not there a cause? Yea, but in this desert place, who will give
Victuals to so great a multitude? Give ye them to
Eat. But we have not the sufficiency to buy enough bread
for all of these that they may even take a
Little. How many loaves have ye? Go and see. Then
One of the twelve said, There is a lad here with five loaves and two fishes, but
Among so many what are they? Maybe we should send them away to the
Villages. But Jesus said, Bring them hither to me; and He lifted up His
Eyes, and blessed and brake the loaves, and gave them to His disciples to
Set before the multitude; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.
When all were then filled and satisfied, Jesus said,
The Fragments that remain, gather up that no thing be lost; and that
Which was left over they gathered together and filled twelve baskets
Of the five barley loaves and two small fishes that were blessed
over and above unto those who had eaten, which were about
Five thousand men, besides the women and children. And I, Stachys,
I am the lad who gave and witnessed these things, not knowing the latter end
Should greatly increase; yet, willingly, I still gave, and like the
Heads of Grain that stand out from the stalk, even as the
Ears of corn, I was made an abundance through grace to be a
Supply for their want, and also a partaker with them lacking nothing.

Big Piney

A couple of Saturdays ago I remember,
A rather warm day in early September.

A young man in our church and us had just decided,
We wanted to be baptized. Were we excited!

My husband and I crawled in the truck bed
How rough a ride! Oh what a dread!

When we finally got to our destination,
It felt just like I was on vacation.

Good food, good company what else would be,
From such a great church family?

We ate and laughter all filled the woods,
Nobody was critical with the shouldn’t and should’s

A couple hours later, when we got through eatin’
We went to the river side for a meetin’

The water was cold from the mountains flowing
I chilled you to the bone, but it was just the knowing.

Such a great time with the church had we,
That September day at a river called Big Piney!

The Bell Flower

It rings; open-ended shape of a bell,
Especially a flower -but to ring?
Only to a heart and fills air with smell
With scent and not sound yet it still will sing.
Air made so fresh by such a lovely thing.
Bell Flowers fills air with its stifling sweet,
Bells blessed by Lordly rain and suns kind heat.

the profits in a prophet's prophecy

there are profits to be had if you listen to a prophet of the Lord
blessings of infinite proportions if you choose to get on board
the prophecy of a prophet, the words from a man of God
a man whom God will use, a man after His own heart
one who is willing to sacrifice and still do all that he can
to spread the gospel, intercede for others and follow God's master plan
but where are those kinds of prophets today?
true men of God whom we desire to obey
many of them have forsaken their ministries and compromised their callings
and can't seem to realize that spiritually they seem to be stalling
for it's quality and not quantity that the Lord God desires
it's not how many, but how devoted are those whom you inspire

Elijah was a prophet who had an intimate relationship with Christ
he lived during the times of Queen Jezebel's opulent life
but Elijah was a simple man of God who was most adamant
he stood on the word of God and was determined to follow the commandments
he declared one day that God said there would be a drought
and until the people changed their wicked ways, the rains would not pour out

one day on his earthly tour Elijah met a lost soul
a widowed woman of little means who had abandoned all of her goals
Elijah asked her for some water and then he asked her for some bread
she said I only have enough for one last meal and then I will be dead
she had given up, she was defeated, she had relinquished all hope
she had forsaken her belief system and no longer had a desire to cope
yet in the midst of all this virulence and all of this stress
Elijah said to trust in God's word so her testimony would progress
and after she committed to the word and took that leap of faith
she received a profit from the prophet's prophecy, she got a food rebate

when you trust in the Lord to provide all of your needs
He will overflow your storehouse with an abundance of seeds
if you believe in Him, you'll then receive from Him, come out of your comfort zone
trust in a prophet's prophecy it has the power of the heavenly throne
be obedient to God's commands, on His word you can depend
trust in God's promises, they will profit you in the end
the profits in a prophet's prophecy you will then receive
just say yes to all God asks of you and in His word truly believe

Why do I feel

          Summer time hits
       and I feel like s.h.i.t
Can't control this feeling inside of me
           I feel out of place
I can't keep up with this race
      I'm constantly falling backwards
        Nothings happening
Why does this always have to be me
I'm just a scared little girl
        being force to grow up
I have to face this world
       but they've denied me entry
and it seems like everyone else
             has made it
everyone knows exactly what to do
and here I sit so out of place
and I don't know what to do
           So why do I feel
          So useless inside
It's how you made me feel
              when my access got denied
               I got denied the world
Everyone keeps telling me I have to do something
               I can't just sit on my a.s.s
            and expect things to happen
But how am I suppose to
                  make miracles
                        by myself
                     I need your help
                       Why do I feel
                          So alone?

Societal Pickle

Man the woman had vegetable in raw,
I had tasted them as raw,
they were sweet and carbohydrates,
she cut them to pieces,
and got a helping of vinegar,
she put in a lot of seasoning,
and had readied the jar,
jar lay there for week,
gathering atmosphere and temperature,
one day the woman came,
and served open the jar,
an incense wafted up in the air,
as she opened the jar ajar,
the incense worked down my nostrils,
as my apetite rose up with its touch,
the seasoned pickle was yummy,
and much more,
I loved the food that went with it,
and really thought that the food went with it,
rather than the other way round,
seasoned mature folks do about the same,
as they are served on society table,
they waft their incense,
to raise general apetites,
they make for good socital intercourse,
and have all eating from their hands,
it is only important,
that we allow time and space,
to the society,
to pickle such fine people,
and cherish them forever or till they last.

Sit as a Family

The challenge of a dinner
To sit the family
Is one that’s ever going
Worth it though, you see

For if you come together
To have a daily meal
Conversation then comes in
With lives to be revealed

Share in daily banter
To learn about each day
Values will develop
Help children on their way

So take the time to listen
Make the time to speak
Enforce the time to sit and share
Make family strong, not weak

By enforcing conversation
Your children’s values grow
Share with them your days spent
Teach everything you know

we're not in Kansas anymore

Have you ever found your mind
drifting into that dark place
that secret and dense absence of light
look into the mirror and say
"There is beauty in destruction"
running your fingertips down your spine
collarbone wrists hips ankles
only to feel numb
your heart imploding
as the gravitational pull
plays tug-o-war
with your passion
10 versus 1
your heartbeat slows
leaving behind a shell
the exquisite mask your sold your soul to construct
was it worth it
did all of your dreams come true
are you happy
pure
untouched
perfect
no
just the 3rd degree burn of deception
fall to your knees
beg for the last five years of your life back
thin chance
slim chance
anything but fat chance
click your heels 3 times
all that glitters is long gone
follow the yellow brick road back to your heart
grab hold of yourself
time waits for no one
not even you

A Baguette

 A Baguette
A Baguette

A lady went into a shop she got her baguette and everyone wanted it.
A nanny man so hard of hearing it said she got her bag wet.
The many sided figures near her grabbed her baguette and placed it in the dryer.
It billowed out and sailed across the room into the fireplace the bread was
toasted everyone ate some of the woman baguette. The bread was never wet but
the toast was dry. The many sided figures that were never near her took the wine
a half a sec to make a meal divine. A Sec and baguette toasting in the fire was
miraculous transformed as bread and wine.

A Tempest Tossed Rage

A tempest tossed rage, a river of anger,
fueled by cruel haste, despitefully using,
losing my hope, as so it seems.

A tempest misplaced, emotions confusing,
where do I turn?, and where do I go?,
thier is no shelter, anywhere in sight.

A tempest engulfed, with a love so deep,
overcoming sins doubt, that's rendered useless,
turning to Jesus, my shelter I find.

A tempest no more, not yet out of sight,
searching inland, in a heart that's true,
following Jesus, down a path lit bright.

Something's brewing

At present there are many cases
Where modern folk of different races
Need food for body, mind and soul
Craving to be nourished, to be whole
Thought I could introduce to you
Fulfillment in the form of stew
An age old family recipe
That sends emotion soaring free

Take one chopped liver, be precise
Add just a pinch of happy spice
Two teaspoons full of loyalty’s nice
Handful of hope in small cubes diced
Pieces of courage thinly sliced
Two ripened hearts firmly spliced
A gracious sauce, senses enticed
Enrich the soul with beauty of life

Tickle the taste buds, play with your food
Set the table with all that’s good
Dig in, be happy, understood
This masterful dish will lift your mood
Tastes best when served with pure delight
So have a blast with all you invite
Serves all who’s willing to join the feast
Experience perfection while you eat

The Kichen Poem Prayer

God bless my little kitchen,
I love it's every nook,
And bless me as I do my work,
wash pots and pans and even cook,
and may the that I prepare,
be seasoned from above,
as we partake of earthly food,
thy table for us spread,
we'll not forget to thank thy Lord,
who gives us daily bread,
so bless my little kitchen,
God and those who enter in,
may they find not but joy'n peace
and happiness within,
