Home Life Haiku

penny for your thoughts
i'm fixin to B#%@H like hell
trouble at home oh well

somebodys been here
i can smell her cheap perfume
it's in my bedroom

where is the money
i kinda spent it honey
kinda get it back

where were you tonight
me and the boys watched the fight
not this late at night

is'nt it a shame
you can go back where you came
all your lies are lame

you got me all wrong
i ain't blind and or stupid
you got sence use it

A Place Called Home

On the covered bridge
A bird is building its nest
Hidden by shadows

-Haiku Nursery-

((** Natures Nurse **))

Hot temperatures
someone call the spring doctor
cold fertilizer

((** Early Bird **))

Fresh morning light
sweet SAP falling on my plate
Lego my Eggo

((** Desert Rose **))

In the dead of night
One star sings me a sad song
cactus feels my pain

((** Looks that kill **))

What else can I say?
Intrigue me with silence
look into my eyes

((** Home Sweet Home **))

End of road
my final destination
Next stop Olympus!

((** Heaven or Hell **))

Leave all dirt behind
Welcome mat above sunrise
running for the door

Golden key fits perfectly in the door lock

My Singapore, My Hearth, My Home

A blend of two worlds,
Mix of city and suburb,
Sprawling with tourists.

Five stars arising,
A crescent moon endorsing,
Red and white unite.

A tiny country,
On its own--- Independent,
Gallant, strong and free.

Living in justice,
Four races in harmony,
Walking hand in hand.

A broth of beauty,
Yes, this is my Singapore,
Yes, my hearth, my home.

Cherry Blossoms Jamboree

Cherry blossoms bloom; the townspeople sing, laugh, dance: hope springs eternal.

This Land is My Land

Pastoral country
Where folks wave to passers by--
Farmers plowing

Exit 386
Wal-Mart, fast foods, and hotels--
Tourists stop

Modern businesses
Of every type one might need--
The short road to town

Refurbished storefronts
With arts antiques and barbers--
Downtown businesses

Houses big and small
Fill the local neighborhoods--
Quiet streets

State Parks, music fests
And neighborhood barbeques --
Entertainment

Outside of town
Beautiful farms and woodlands--
The rural folks

The river rises
Bringing water to my land --
Children in kayaks

The home of brave hearts
Who understand nature’s way --
King and rattlesnakes

The home of the free
Where people are seen smiling--
Live Oak, Florida

Quandary - A Husband's Haiku

The dishes are done,
Kids are asleep and dreaming.
Want to watch T.V.?

Privacy at last.
The kids will not disturb us.
Want to hug and smooch?

The dishes are done.
No one will disturb us, but
She's got a headache.

Whatever I did,
It must have been bad, because
She keeps saying, "No."
