Falling Stars

I am a falling star, burning up in the ionosphere,
all of my many lives
flashing through my mind at once -
not experienced in a linear sequence,
but opening up in an all-encompassing bloom.
Time blossoms.

-Time-

A million years ago,
I shared the apple,
hypnotized by the seeds
connecting into a pentacle;
a star shining in the fruit's pulpy flesh.

I am a falling star, burning up in the stratosphere,
on a collision course
defined by fate or destiny.
Please make a wish upon me,
so that my life wasn't lived in vain -
the fear of an insignificant life,
without a solid meaning to its end.

With juice sluicing down my chin,
I knew the consequences
of nearly all my actions.
Naivety turned into shame,
pushed me up, high into the sky,
a trade-off for my stubborn rebellions -
I was able to touch the heavens,
only to brace myself
against the steep ride back down.

I am a shooting star, disintegrating in the atmosphere.
Please make a wish upon me,
before I become too small to see.
Please make a wish upon me,
and benefit from my final breath,
so that I do not completely disappear
with this all-consuming fear,
of an end, lacking solid meaning.

Starlight/ Shooting star so bright,
falling star, you see burning up in fright,
I wish you may, I wish you might,
have the wish, you wish for, tonight.

In The Stars

       Written in The Stars

-----------------------------------------
Two hearts bleached by the sun
        A poem's - fallen wish
               The Love
            Of A Life Time
-----------------------------------------

Majestic beams fall from heavens medow
Two hearts sewn by the constellation
Under the moons glow
         You and I
Staring up into the Starry Sky
Tonight we sit under the dazzling diamond dust
Our eyes feel and meet tonight
Stars twinkle a poem of each paired heart
Listen................... The God's Whisper!

What Is Love?
They asked
A wish so gentle by the stars
Greeting young couples heart
Poor but, in love
Mockeries of old shadow
Light embracing this Auspicious moment

-Aster Flares-
Intrigued by a sad lovers tale
Two souls forever rich-
Sharing eternity through celestial bliss
Gravitating in a world owned by the stars
Unfortunate turn of events,
Romeo & Juliet
Collapsing stars rising with a hymn
From the moment they fell
Only to reveal how beautiful--
-- the stars in the dark
Ever so wealthy, around Orion's Belt
Taking notes of every rhyme, every heartbeat

Stars fall every eve entering the atmosphere
Seeping through the soul making love a part of light
Illusion of permanence
Fireflies Flaring up
A love that lives last longer than moments
Zodiac unfolds the lines
The stars tell you, who you are
Gaze upon the infinity
Follow the Northern star
Beneath your peaceful splendor
They will bow
The evening star,
"My Star Of Love"
Like glitter dust upon a timeless shore
Never will the memory of love be gone
Look up at the stars,
For some where out there
I read about YOU in a poem.

Spider songs

Blades of grass, wet under foot, insect eyes
Dusk, offset by the cricket orchestra
Muted and receding into the trees and bushes,
Tickled by the wind, rattling snake tail wind
While we may be in the company of wolves,
A long legged friend is late for the party

Eyes, little iridescent stars
Attending to each one, and look there,
There she is, making the most beautiful geometry
Parallels within the octagons, pulling silks
An arm for every task, little perpetual motion machine

Is that the Queen of the Night under the rusted iron?
A forlorn lady, black patent leather, kill a man, maybe two
With her danger red symmetry, oozing with youth
And a penchant for paralysis, no one can resist her wine

Then there's the hall of cob webs, threadbare handkerchiefs
Left by ladies who exhausted all of their company
To be a spectacle under the moon, in the wood pile
Dressed up in the finest furs, all earth tones
Stepping out to introduce themselves in girlish droves

Venus of another sort, these little cursed jezebels
Hovering on the skin of the water, or on the red brick wall
Must frequent every happy corner, and slip away at a moment's notice
A real lady always knows when to say goodnight
Such graceful exits through cement cracks
Back to the parlor, to glow in the dark
And they become spiders again

If Stars Could Think

If stars could think.
They would be thinking
Dreadful thoughts.
Wishing they could be humans.
Just wishing that they could be
Human.
Lazily
Lurking
In a dark abyss.
No where to go
Nothing to do.
Just hot stars in a dark
Sky.
Yet if they could only see.
To us they shine brighter than all of our thoughts combined.
Then they start to think extraordinary thoughts.
They start to think
People.
Will gaze up at them for hours.
So far,
Yet
So bright.
But stars have nothing to fear.
For they will outlive
Us all.

Wishing Upon Stars

O stars, your twinkling never changes
with moods or emotions.
That’s why you give people hope
when there is no light
at the end of the tunnel in their lives.

O stars, I wish only one thing from you-
the secret to how you glow
every day and night without a sigh
of dimming.

If you can’t give me the secret,
at least make me a star like you,
to shine on myself, and the world.

Echoes of Dreams

The angels keep their ancient places;
Turn but a stone, and start a wing!
'Tis ye, 'tis your estrangèd faces,
That miss the many-splendoured thing.
-Francis Thompson

Echoes of Dreams

Into the dream-fields of summer, I will go
where the violet-winged bird turns
and flies, over emotions of stone.

I will search for those estranged faces one by one,
among echoes and beside rivers of starfalls,
I will drift alone, turning and freeing emotions of stone.

Into the forgotten fields of Summer dreams, I will go-
seeking the splendour of echoes of streams
Into the misted realms of the violet-winged bird
I will flee, turning, freeing emotions of stone
alone like a free thought above and below

I will flit, I will drift, I will seek, I will go
into the starfalls of echoes of dreams.

Somewhere in our galaxy tonight shines a brand new star Dazzling, its brilliance pierces the ebony night At journey’s end it has sailed rugged heights afar And hangs this night with Sirius and Zenith reflecting light ~*~

THE REBEL

The Hollywood hills still echoes with his
Rebellious yell, we are the forever young
Generation.
An iconic American symbol, to this the lost
Age of innocence.
Nay did this rebel die without a cause,
I think not, in my humble opinion, he
Died for his desire for speeds acceleration,
In death's ironic twist of fate, James Dean's
Name became immortalized as an epic tragedy,
Of youthful hearts seeking to be wild and free,
Without any consequences.
A teen idol who went out in a blaze of glory,
Revving His engine hell bound for destiny's,
Rock-n-roll Hall of Fame.
A nation wept in despair mourning for the
Loss of one so young and full of life.
Sorrows children cried in disbelief laying roses,
At his final resting place.
The jukeboxes remained silent with respects,
Reverence, and bikers gave him a rebel send off.
A generation whom believed they were bullet proof,
Realized how human life could be extinguished,
Within the flash point of on coming head lights.
James Dean's ashes were swept away swallowed,
Whole by time itself.
Now he's nothing but a tarnished star in histories,
Memorabilia case on display for all to see,
And remember, this the first easy rider.
JFK dream vision illusion of Camelot has faded to gray,
And Elvis now sings in a more heavenly chorus,
In the great beyond.
But before these man took the center stage, another
Walked the thin line of immortality's rebel fighting,
For a cause.
One lone figure rides into the night across freedoms,
Highway, and his name was James Dean.

we are stars

people are like stars,
some are younger,
some are older,
some are brighter,
some are darker,
some are bigger,
some are smaller,
but in the end we are all the same.
all together.
shining bright with our personality.
dont care about what other people think.
its their own opinion.
be unique,be you.
you are who you are, and who you are is all their gonna get.
so shine like a star!!!

Only if

beautiful lady
holding you
ever so gently
in the softness
of beauty

as the violin plays
touching souls
under a full moon
i dance
with you

silver shadows
dancing a waltz
touching
black velvet

in silken
soft feelings
in loves melody
singing out
in your earthly
beauty

my spirit rises
applauds
in beating wings
the heart
pounds
on the drums

reaching high
hands out
in a flash
of light

i hand you
the moon
flashing stars
wink
delight
in loves
tune

as the sun
kisses the moon
a dancing groom
eclipse
my night

Fallen Star

In the heavens above on any given day
Countless stars are born to blaze the skies
Trillions speak their truth through verse and song
As they praise, inspire and light the path
Fallen star brings joy he twinkles and shines
Both Man and creature in wonderment gaze

In the middle of the winter of ‘78
Formed and fashioned in love by the Master’s hands
The young star set forth toward his destiny
‘cross millions of galaxies constellations far
Reaching earth’s galaxy along the Milky Way
To add brilliance and illuminate our world

This perilous journey he was called to make
Proved daunting too complex to accomplish alone
Distracted by forces beyond his strength
He strayed and fell as countless before
Anger and pride as companions he chose
Would retard his progress yet for a while

The Master keeping watch over his universe
Saw the young star unguided he stumbled he fell
God projected his will providing another way out
In wisdom with calm resolution he allowed him to fall
Through the fire refined like silver and gold
Preparation confirmed the journey to complete

There’s a new day coming just over the horizon
When Fallen star will arise fired and strong
In the interim all plans are made fool proof
Tools are honed cleaned and sharpened
For this journey a lifetime to make
Fallen star aims high to blaze the skies

This one is for you

From time to time I find myself staring into the heavens lit by our stars
The elders spoke of each star having its name, and how God knew the all by it
At a very young age I grew much interest in adventure, to be an explorer of such
Dream after dream, a huge imagination for images costed no money, dreams of much
I lived by my creativity and will to be strong
Not many believed in me
Some of which even put me down, stateing that I was worth nothing
With a shattered heart I saw the days evolve into night
Patiently awaiting the sight of the first star
Dropping to my knees making a wish upon the first star in view
Who would know that the stars grant no wish
My first language was spanish
Not a single word of english or french I spoke
Growing up in grade school, I was the cause of many jokes
I had not much but a few rags that I kept clean as best to my ability
Shoes with holes made my month
None mattered because the love I searched was not of school but of my own home
Always been so different
  A mind of a genius
The will of a warrior
  But the love of...
When the tide is high swim not
For a tormented sea might just never return you
I play guilt
Guilt I know not for I made it as best I could
Sing me a song that I may sing to
Paint me a portrait so that I too may loose in the form and color
Write me a poem so that I may see it play
Pardon me for not being what you wanted me to be
Pardon me for being me
I hope one day you may forgive my life
I meant no disrespect, what did I ever do to you
You abused me and stomped on my heart
You punched my soul right out
I'm sorry for not being you
And I pass to find my joy
I will live to meet my future
This one is for you dad

SHE HELD A HANDFUL OF STARS

These eyes bright
Hair the colour of night
Queen of starlight

She held a handful of stars
She tossed them far
Scattering through,
the midnight sky

The star that landed on me..........
Was my destiny
For this star,
choose to be..............
the star for me

Scattering through,
billions of stars
There is one waiting for you

Glittering glow,
from my chosen star so
Scattered throught the blackest night
This one, I won't let go

This star
So bright
It came so far you see.............
It chose me

These eyes bright
Hair the colour of night

She held a handful of stars
She held one for me
The star she held................
Was my destiny

One for me........
One for you........
Travelling too........
Such stars are meant to be..........

These eyes bright
Hair the colour of night
Scattering starlight

About Me Pt. 2

I’m a man of my word,
I always do my best to keep every promise,
and I never make a promise I know I can’t keep
I’ll give you the shirt off my back if you really do need it,
but I’m no humanitarian
I always offer others my help,
but I rarely accept the assistance of others,
because it makes me feel like I’m weak
I am weak,
yet, I’m stronger than I seem
I am a rock star on the inside,
but, physically and mentally, I’m a rock star who has no musical abilities
At times I have self-esteem,
but, I really never do
I’ll say I believe in myself and that I’m happy with what I can do,
but, truth be told,
there’s always that nagging doubt,
the lingering thought,
the dreaded fear of proving myself right,
and confirming the utter worthlessness that I usually find in myself
I overanalyze everything
I’m always thinking about something
I love to watch people
but I hate it when people stare
I am a Christian,
but at times I wonder if God even cares?
then call myself a fool for ever thinking that way,
as I finally see all of the things I take for granted that He’s blessed me with
everyday
I always wait too late to say what I’m feeling,
or can never seem to find the courage to say it when I want to
With time, I’ve grown too scared to reach for the stars,
to walk out on limbs,
put myself on the line
but, I don’t want to be left behind,
I don’t want to watch those around me grow and become happier,
while I am stuck in misery
I don’t know who I am

I'm the Power Player

10
I sprint as I cry in pain
Coach yells, “ RUN, PASS, SCORE”
9
Blocking out all the screaming
And the chaotic noises
8
From the sidelines
I dash through five tough defenders
With everything that I have got
7
Out of breath I devour the last of energy
I can use to score the winning goal
6
Ball zigzags in between my bright orange cleats
As I fly through many obstacles that
Get in my way
5
Five seconds left in the game
Will it make it in I think as my fingers are crossed
4
All the pressure is on that ball and I
As it soars over the field where I am myself and
Flies to high for the other team players to get
3
The ball tears through the goalie's gloves.
No one can drop the confidence level I have just received
2
The ball collides against the net, and I have caught a joyous victory
That exact moment pays up for the backbreaking, painstaking work I've put in
With every goal I score, I rule the world
1
That’s why I am the Power Player of the team
I don’t give up because I’m all determination
For my love of Soccer

Star Gazing

Vast, endless sky
Reaching beyond imagination.
Small sparkles of light
And swirls of dark colors
Within the blackness.

From here everything looks small,
But in reality it is we that lack size.

Much is known, even more unknown.
It captivates our curiosity.
The muse to poets, artists
And science fiction writers.
The inspiration for scientists.

It reminds us of our insignificance,
Yet drives us to be more.

Will we ever know its mysteries?
I hope not…

New Stars Are Formed

Strange colored skies climb northernly this night
Calling our future with wild deamons eyes
Abscure as the creatures who answer the call
Wild are the answers of the reasons and the faults
Certain as the well swept winds
Alluring in it's grasp fought negatively through single wins
I pray twords the skies and it curdles and swims
Thoughts twords the sun and it scorches my rims
Carry me far enough I can be within your sights
Stash us away and the sun will be bright
Motors may break but oceans will be light
I will stay on the coast and wait
The award I will do is make the evening a minute late
Parched is the gulf as the single minute breaks
Great is the second docks a seperate mans gate

The Earths crust slowly begins to crumble
It quivers, then quakes, it slowly opens, the rivers break
A star is born somewhere, a beautiful new star
Great is the struggle, born from the heavens a small light it makes

The new star pulls, it turns, then it feeds and it's fuel it burns
Gently it orbits following all things it understands
The new star bends it dances it stands
Tancing outwardly as creations comprehend

A continient wavers as the new star binds its brand
It feeds off of our oceans as our tides wash in
It goes just as softly forward and back
As the rays of its placement barrow up to the sun
We watch very carefully because it's damages are already done

Star

A radiant star climbed down from the heavens,
Planting virgin feet on hard ground,
Waiting for the crowd he knew would come.

But when it came,
The crowd was blinded by his brilliance.

Angrily, it drove him behind a high, wide wall
Where he remained for some time,
Planning his escape homeward.

But the wall crumbled
Beneath the weight of graspy hands
That reached out
To dim the luster of a light
They could not understand.

To shine brightly, a star needs
The protection of a clear night sky.

Sweet child of mine

The stars they used to bring tears to my eyes
Dark skies, I cried as I prayed for daylight
You were my fragment of pain
I became swallowed in memorys of darkness
That used to come and go so haunting, the loss of you
Still is killing me, for you were gone so suddenly..

My first child
My first love
Now all I have left
Are the stars above
Not to mention
The glow of the moon
That always reminds me
That you were taken too soon
Tears fall down my cheeks
When your name is spoken, that's when
These demons become awoken
The heartbreak
The despair
Losing your child
Is too much to bear
Sleepless nights
Dreams full of terror
Seeing the pain in your eyes
Everytime you look in the mirror

I can look at the stars now
With hope, instead of pain
You my child, did not die in vain
You will live through me, glow bright star
Glow.. Glow for me
And for all of
The mommys to see
Be my guidance, keep me from the ledge
To you child, this I pledge:

I see your glow and I can now smile
Though I might shed a tear every once and a while
Just because, I'm missing you
But I promise I will pull through

Thank you spirits
Thank you stars
For welcoming my child
With open arms
Keep him safe
Give him love
And let him know I am with him
Everytime I look above..

Twinkling Star

Wish away, on my twinkling points of lights.
There is a supergaint star in my sight each
and every night.

I wish upon my star for hopes and dreams
to come my way.
It shines, not only for me but all who take
the time, to look up for the light.

I gaze up and know my celestial star is
eternal, for someone eles, down the
road will wish upon it too.

An Ode to LIFE Part 1

An Ode To LIFE

As I lay my head down and start to fall asleep I see myself being carried off to a place and time the place of our Lords birth in Bethlehem of Judea

As in the Bible tells the story of His life and how he lived and died in that human seance and rose on the day He told of

I do not remember being here but I remember the story I was taught so many years ago

As I walk through the streets of Bethlehem I see each scene and hear every word as I am learning the story they telling is true

The writer writes of a jealous King and his way of dealing with his people and of Mary and Joseph who came to Bethlehem to have a child

The story tells of the three wise men who saw a star in the north and heard of a child who was born to be the King of the Jews and come to see and bring Him gifts

An angel from the Heavens above came to Mary and Joseph in a dream and told them they had to leave Bethlehem or King Herod would have their son killed

So they left Bethlehem and went to Egypt and there they lived until King Herod no longer ruled

As I follow along in my dream I see each scene and hear every word as I am puzzled by the fact I understand each

I don’t understand why I’m going through this time but I know I must continue on this journey

As I am pulling through a time where I reach the place of Jesus’ in Nazareth of Galilee

As I watched Him grow and work in His father's shop I could see the thing in Him that were with me

As I walk along the streets and look around I hear the people talk of a child that speaks of wondrous love that’s all forgiving and of a Father in Heaven that’s loving and true.

Mon Amour Toujours (My Love Forever)

He lay next to me in the wild golden grass that swayed with the night air
he wrapped his warm arms carefully and protectively around me
until I smiled, glanced at the stars, and gently pulled away.
I kissed his cheek sweetly then looked once more at the sky.
"Do you see that star?" I murmured softly, "The one beside the moon?"
His eyes drifted skyward as he searched the space around the moon's dim light.
Slowly I pulled the folded paper out of my pocket and placed it in his hands.
"It's mine or rather it's yours," I whispered taking his hand in my own.
"Mon Amour...My Love" he read the name and squeezed my hand
with a smile as he examined the roughly creased paper,
He was confused that much I could see and I waited until finally he asked,"Why?"
I shook my head then replied,"You showed me how much I could be loved,
and every night I would look up at the stars and wish I could keep you happy.
When I would stare into your eyes you'd always comment on the twinkle in mine,
so I thought I would give you a star to remind you of me when ever we're apart."
He wrapped his arms tightly around my waist and breathed into my neck,
"No star can compete with the sparkle in your precious eyes when you're with me,
but Mon Amour will always remind me what I'm living for."
He continued then pulled out a roughly handled piece of paper and said,
"Do you see that star? The one next to Mon Amour?
It's mine or rather it's yours. A Toujours...Forever."
My heart skipped a beat as I covered my tearful smile and asked,"Why?"
And he replied,"I told you I would find a way to prove that I'd love you forever."
Tears strolling down my face I threw my arms around his neck and cried,
"You all ready have a thousand times before."
Mon Amour Toujours.

A Star for Dane Ann

Stars are but pores in the seams of heaven
From which loved ones smile down on us
Showing us they are happy, at peace

For you, dear Dane Ann, I buy a special star
The radiance of a beautiful soul
Who walked this Earth with joy and love

I give to you the star “Jeanette”
A woman like you who lit a spiritual path
And gave comfort and friendship willingly

Her star will cast blessings on your home
The light will lead you through dark times
A steadfast ray of hope and inspiration

This is what Jeanette gave to me
In memory I choose to share her brilliance
To guide you on your journey through life

Straight Up Star Wars

Yo,

I was in an empire, part of the rebellion,
I was luke and han solo,
Takin' photos, of a world in love with chedda'
Prayin' all day for things to get betta'
Askin' Yoda in the sky for some wisdom,
Sherley Chism, and Rosa Parks were my idols,
Strong, black, beautiful, brazen, blazen, amazen, silos,
Of a song my momma taught me,
Lift every voice, express my choice, and drop bombs of knowledge,
I went to college, battlin' brains insane with myopic fits of schizophrenia,
With my pen, rebukin' sins of the fathers,
Puttin grandma's in chains, and straight killen my father's manhood,
Knowin, we could, we should, we would strive higha,
Christ's fire ignites me,
I gave my life to the almighty,
Cause in my sight he, fought for the downtrodden,
Rotten souls oppressin' billions,
Takin' pills and smoken' pipes for just a moment,
Of escape from rapin' carpet baggas hatin' saggas,
But just 5 years prior,
I heard a man with mad desire, for a chryos explosion,
Straight fusion, taken hatred and morphin satan into fury,
Hope was his cure he, took his orders from the savior,
And he made a, believer out of me and my whole country,
All at once he, took the reigns of insane branes and made us lighter,
Like brighter, with a burnin' burden like phroto bagins in the shire,
I walk this ring, of light and dark within my conscience,
But after months this, whole thing is startin to make me higher function,
I got this unction, to tell you about a pending celebration,
Elation has caught hold and now a nation,
Is about to be free of race and miscegenation,
Straight up star wars in this joint,
Because the deathstar is destroyed,
I trust the force, and soon my boy,
Will have his moment,
On mountain's top and God straight smilin'
Stylin' profilin' cause yo, a change is comin'
Start Stumin' new songs, of like redemption,
Cause we makin' marley proud and I got shrouds of evidence,
This fence is fallin' like back in europe,
Like the moons becomin' suns we makin runs to polls and soon guns suns they will be smokin'
Mad open, people get ready,
Straight steady, kill Freddy, cause this nightmare on wall street is ova,
Move ova George W, and sing a new song,
Straight Star Wars!

STOP read my christmas poem

What is that
in our western sky
some kind of star
coming near by

it's radiance seems
as bright as the sun
but bowing to the night
it's beauty for reason

so compelling that
star in the sky
it's dazzling light
amazes my eye's

that star without words
beacons me to follow
my soul being bared
for something sacred and hollowed

Yes that is the star
our ancestors spoke of
i can see it with my eye's
that star is filled with love

quick quick hurry let's go
follow that star
where ever it goes

whether near
or whether far
no matter what
follow that star

for it was told
by ancient and old
that star would bring
our God and King

can't you see
this wonderful thing
Gods birth on earth
is where this star beams

there in the distance
gathered are the shepards
the lowly lowly shepards
soon to be joined by kings

"all men of the earth"
the angels did sing

to such a lowly place
this star did us bring
to a child born
in the company cattle
but worshiped by kings
accompanied by the light
of that stars wonderful beam

a lowly lowly place
for the birth of the King of Kings
the place long for told
as the birth place of the King

we were humbled
by the mystery of this birth

this is the way
God would visit earth

with lowly shepards
under a bright bright star
humbled to be like us
to be near not far

Talking Frank

she hid
like a little mouse
with windows barred
to block the light
and peering eyes

she grew
in that sunless
cage
from adolescent dreams
to a women's longing

fought with insecurity
penning her
hopes
on humanity
that had drifted away

she wrote
with anticipation
filled with yearning
to understand
such cruelty

with no answers
she searched
why
what had they done
would they ever know

in the night they came
with weapons fixed
swinging slurs
to wound
her soul

they gave her a star
and a ticket
to take a train
new adventures
from which she'd never
return

the star soon replaced
by numbers
carved into
tender skin
and she cried
for her father

she was the child
of her mother
and of her mother's mother
she was the remains
of sanity

she stared at the camp
not a children's thing
with ponies and playgrounds
but with gas chambers
and crematoriums
and she cried

for herself
for her family
and for the world
as they led her inside
she penned last words

still trying
to understand
through her tears
but there was to be
no understanding

and in the end
they laid her bones
uncerimoniously in pits
filled to the brim
with lost dreams
lost lives
and failed hope...

O, LIGHT

~ Oh, maiden of light cracks the wispy air open , wandering around viscous spaces like virgin shadow caressing the edge of sleep… and the days stretch longer, taller than guava trees dreamingly shedding laces of northeast streams when songbirds, orbits, and a pageant of flowers listen to a single humming breeze… and when all else is sprawled quiet, waterfalls marry her certain lingering star straying on mouths of gentleness past eons bound by nuptials in iridescent realms…
*O, ilaw, sa gabing malamig, wangis mo'y bituin sa langit… O, tanglaw, sa gabing tahimik, larawan mo, Neneng, nagbigay pasakit. Ay! *
Somehow ,curlicues drape a fragrant smoke leaking out a folk sky; dancing in the mirror of the mountain pool… a serenade weeps; quivering, moaning along the inland pass that someone said morning becomes electra, that learning how to hear her blossom or pearl stone unravels the very skin from which it was born is allowing time to shed her purity far beyond unknowing a water’s need to keep still: the juice spills…
**Gising at magbangon sa pagkagupiling sa pagkakatulog na lubhang mahimbing; buksan ang bintana at ako'y dungawin, nang mapagtanto mo ang tunay kong pagdaing. * *
Peeling new faces of time, shaping the width of endless rhyme in sprays of endless mystery... like so, a thousand times before and after, twilight and daybreak entwine… oh,light elusive, passing through calm eyes of young maiden’s season is love’s way of coming back to itself. ~ -------- * O, light, in the cold night; you're like a star in the sky O, light, in the quiet night, your picture, Neneng, makes one ache…. Oh! ** Awake and arise from slumber, from your sleep so deep. Open your window and look out to me So that you may understand my true lament. ~ this poem is inspired by a harana, a traditional Filipino serenade. The suitor is accompanied by his friends who back him up both vocally. At first, the woman's window is closed. The man calls out to her and if she's interested, she'll open her window. Singing harana originated during the Spanish colonial period in the Philippines.~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NYueJU0Ufws&feature=related --------- For Debbie’s Bi-lingual Poetry by nette onclaud

I lay my tender heart

I lay my tender heart at your feet
and my soul and very being I surrender
My desire and quest
to fill your heart with joy
and summer
by the sweetest of emotion and affection.

To stand by you
to provide and protect you
a bond so strong nothing can tare it apart
until death do us part
and later
we meet once more
in a much better place
once again
reunited.

Perseid Meteor Shower

Brilliant trails of light
Across a darkened sky
Fireworks in slow motion
A cosmic fourth of July

Scattered bursts of rubble
A dandelion in the wind
Extinguished in moments
Flash of light rescinds

Now I make a wish
As clouds obstruct my view
Will I get good fortune
Or only deja vu

Foggy vs Clear

Looks certainly have deceived me!
Without trying, you are who you are
Without doubt
A faint star only because of your place
In our place
Lands you so very far
Only because of distance
But
You are a star shining so brightly
Maybe even brighter than the rest
But
Our eyes tell us
You are so small
I may perceive a human to be the length of my fingernail
As I stand upon some rooftop
But
If I were to stand side by side with this human
I WILL
Realize truth!
My eyes have deceived me
I get a closer look -
or might I say
I place each object side by side
and witness truth
Yet
This is still open for interpretation
Because
Until I can place every single thing
In the same exact space
And
Observe every detail
Who am I to even ASSUME
The truth?
This object has its own interpretation
As we do as well
Until things appear the same
From afar
Or
Under our noses
There will be no total understanding
Of the truth
I see you star
You are who you are
Without doubt
And
I learn from you
You have the appeal so very appealing to me
I learn from you
As I have learned my eyes have deceived me
You inspire me
Not to mold into what I perceive others perceive me as
But
To only be me
Because
This foolish chase is an endless race
And
I end this by first accepting me

Cosmic Poetry

My mind is the center of a star
A nuclear fusion of ideas
The lighter atoms of the self
Are forced together
And become solid
And beautiful.

Take Water

Take water, what do you know about it?
it has an almost magical existence
yet does it start as a cloud?
or is evaporation from bodies of water?

The answer amazingly is, its a byproduct
when stars are born a strong outward wind
of gas and dust forms, the shockwaves compress
and heat it forming water and vapour

Next time you have a drink,
                   Think
in your hand you hold birth
remember you also hold a star

What a miraculous thing is water
it keeps us from extinction
the sheer beauty delights
as it bounces sparkles and twinkles

Transparent and crystal clear
it holds so many life forms
all invisible to the naked eye
                   Water

unfinished

i’m lost.

wandering my mind, hollow now.

secrets tucked in the seams, invisible to passer-bys.

each step leaves an imprint behind,

dust settling into the crevices left by my toes.

the world empty,

immune to stolen glances between souls and half-hearted exchanges.

peace swept away,

pushed to the side by an old broom of straw and wood.

oxygen dissipates,

I try hard,

harder to breathe.

but all that is left to soothe my lungs

is the empty, grey air,

void of the warmth of shared space
.

sometimes I sneak away

to send a fluid rush to my veins,

entrancing my mind in a fictional fantasy.

alone, I bathe in my secrecy,

cleansing my skin with vibrant truths.

She Was Anne

her name was Anne
and she wrote dreams
upon pages;
the kind that roam around your mind
but are always held deep
inside your chest;

and she heaved
under the weight of tears
left uncried
and so many truths
left unsung;

her name was Anne
not of Green Gables
but of Gestapos and Gettos;
not summer getaways
but of guards and gates;

she was Anne of raven hair
with faraway eyes,
on spindly legs
running towards
a woman's curves;

but the hook of her nose
told heritage tales,
that they numbered
with hate
upon her youthful arm;

yet she still dreamed
and wrote,
of longings and yearnings
of the future;
with simplistic thoughts
not comprehending
her reality;

her pen flew across pages,
filled with hope,
yet inked in sadness;
and the winds blew the sheets
upon the prejudice
that surrounded her;
without effect

she was Annie to parents
who saw only the past
of a little girl
with shiny new shoes
pink bows
and capped teeth;

the shoes went into piles,
bows flew upon the breeze
and the teeth
shone only in fillings
of melted gold
instead of smiles;

she was the promise
of a woman's secrets,
yet to be revealed
and enjoyed,
upon silken thighs;
with desired weight
pressing love
upon waiting lips;

she was humanity
destroyed by
inhumanity;
as the world watched
little girl tears
float away,
into subconsciousness,
where we didn't have to
feel them or hear
their weeping moans;

she was a star
from the family of David;
an outcast now
from society
that deemed her unworthy;
outlined by the yellow blaze
as the star
burnt itself out;

and she called to her God
without blame
for he was good and kind;
and man...
well man was man,
so unlike her God;

her name was Anne
and she pressed her face
upon the panes of our illusions;
breaking through the
shaded barriers
that we ourselves
had forged;

but too late for Anne
did we see the truths;
and now she remains
forever young
in our minds;
but dead to our
world;

and her pages
are all that speak;
her hushed whispers
grown finally loud;
we hear her voice
and feel at last
her tears,
as they slide down
those precious pages
to become

our own...

This Changes Everything

There's a darkness in the tone
of the steps that you take -
Like subtle singularity for fools in your wake,
And wouldn't it be nice to break out?

For instance, I saw a star tonight...
It was mostly flickering and distant -
But a Strange stir was what sent
Potent chills from spine to toes and back:

And deep inside of me, from an
unprecedented Hollow in my soul,
That star called out as a request -
For help or justice, I do not know.

What I can tell you now,
It wouldn't take much longer than those steps
for the elapsed time to force a full collapse,
And wouldn't it be nice to break out?

For instance, I moved a stone tonight,
with nothing but my mind,
The powers were within, around, behind,
And every step I took it drained completely -

And completely drained my spirit
of the necessary evils
Which controlled my every action

And reaction, And Action, And . . .

There's a floating, towering hole;
A glorious glance, at least at first,
and a mighty sweep of hands
Took my feet from underneath me,
And vertigo ensued,
                           A meaningless

Strange
                                       Hollow
                                                                         Sense
                   of the Strangest
                                       and Stranger Yet,
         but
                                                       what we were.

And wouldn't it be nice to break out?

One Star, One Wish

One star, one wish,
One life, one love.
When you wish upon a star remember,
Remember you only have one.
One star, one wish,
One life, one love.
When you wish upon a star remember,
Remember to remember why.
One star, one wish,
One life, one love.
When you wish upon a star remember,
Remember who or what you wished for.
One star, one wish,
One life, one love.
When you wish upon a star remember,
Remember to always be thankful.
One star, one wish,
One life, one love.

In Your Beautiful Eyes

Amid a star ferried night
Love's tears came falling
Into your beautiful eyes
Their dreams were calling
Through whispering tides
A heart left drifting
As I stood by your side
The pain was melting...
Her moon cast its glow
Hopeful choirs bringing
Joy to sweep this night
Heavens Angels singing
While I stood by your side
These tears left falling
Unto tides that wash away
Yesterdays pain; yet still
Drifting afore love's moon
Cast her light; dreams...
Calling upon a star ferried
Night, as heart's were melting.

Blazing Across Your Sky

I’m going to blaze across your sky
In blinding light
My body a celestial meteorite
Falling from the heavens
Pulled in by the gravity of your passion
Burning my way through the atmosphere of your essence
Escalating friction of your atoms against mine
Sparks flying
Temperatures rising to the inevitable climax
No way to stop this falling star of my love
This red hot comet of desire
As I blaze through you dreams and reality, fantasy and destiny
Hurtling at break neck speed as I incinerate my way
Through..........everything
Blazing, flaming, flaring, combusting
Till the final explosion
In the earth shattering impact of your embrace....

My voyage of passion.......complete

A Morning Star

Oh fallen star of Bethlehem, your established moment shines,
upon canvas of harsh intent, descendent of heavenly design?

A mighty angel’s leading light to those befallen, pleasure-bent?
Are gleaming eyes masking spites or, our demands, aspiring content?

Looking toward skies o’er Bethlehem, as prides of mortal men delight;
bearing gifts; coffered obedience, marking paths, Magi alight.

When losing sight of stellar sign, in Jerusalem they did quick inquire,
at palace great, to a king divined; hoped route, from Herod, to acquire.

II

We saw a star (when in the east) and have come to render our obeisance,
said light has left us briefly, too the wakes of our continuance.

While in the kingdom his star was seen, glancing eyes into glass orbs stared.
Expectant sighs at skies portending, bejeweled fingers into cauldrons stirred.

A caravan of mystics then gathering, consigned to cross harsh lands at night.
Postured gifts, too much appeasing, a source of imminences, expelling light.

Great Herod stirred with agitation, “Summon to me, scribes and priest,”
and they spoke to him of Bethlehem, from whence shall come a Jewish King.

Elsewhere God’s swift messenger, arrives with tidings of glad news:
Rejoice! Rejoice for the Lamb’s shepherd! Blessed are borne Jacob’s sons to truth.

That one drawing light from the light’s giver, firstborn of heaven’s womb.
He has taken breath that men be delivered, fear no more, door’s enclosing tombs.

III

One question, in cautious need; discerns plucked from common threads.
What purposed such judicious leads, as that star’s light to Jesus led?

What cause that such symbol did cease, perhaps a plan most devious shed?
To turn also eyes of Herod east, these, jealous guards of scriptures read.

Oh bright stars over Christendom, look! Your beam’s a turning compass,
your ray, as flames with many tongues, scouring Earth in hopes of bliss.

Misleading truths, mounting traditions, swallowed lies drunk from waters shallow.
The wise one is made fool again, if needs a lamp, above a Christ we can follow.

With signs, divinities are misconstrued, as such, a star; still you teach our youth?
As light into the night deludes, beware, convincing knees to bending truths.

Shooting Star

Love is like a shooting star
because you’ll never know when you’ll see one
It comes so quickly that just as you’re enjoying it—
You blink, and then it’s gone.
And much like that star,
it also leaves a burning trail in the heart,
that in the end you find yourself
just wanting to do nothing but cry.
But sometimes, with enough luck,
you catch it and are able to wish…
and even after it goes away,
the feeling of awe is still there to relish
The feeling’s so lingering,
that it seems to go on forever…
And that kind of star is much like the love
That simply leaves you never.

** haha been digging up my writes lately here's another one
written waay back in 2000...I wrote this after actually
seeing a shooting star ;)

Butterflies

In my butterfly boat
Set me afloat
Until I reach the top
And the stars all drop
Into the sea
Let me be free
Until I finally see
All of my dreams
Through the lies
On the backs of butterflies

Take me away
To the starry skies
On the backs of butterflies
On the backs of butterflies
Fly me afar
To the nearest star
On the backs of butterflies
On the backs of butterflies

Setting asail
In my butterfly boat
I'll gently float
Into the sky
I'll navigate
The milky way
Until my sunlit day
Finally arrives
On the back of butterflies

Take me away
To the starry skies
On the backs of butterflies
On the backs of butterflies
Fly me afar
To the nearest star
On the backs of butterflies
On the backs of butterflies

When I arrive
In my butterfly boat
Somewhere remote
I'll finally find
My butterflies
Then in my mind
I'll finally know
Where I should go
With my life

Take me away
To the starry skies
On the backs of butterflies
On the backs of butterflies
Fly me afar
To the nearest star
On the backs of butterflies
On the backs of butterflies

MY STAR

When all my dreams had faded away,

when all my thoughts had gone astray

you suddenly came to rescue me,

and brought me back to where I should be

you help me reach the unreachable star,

and heal my heart from a previous scar

you added and strengthened my confidence,

you held me up to reach the heavens

It was indeed great and amazing!

I had everything I want but something's still missing

I looked at you then I knew,

you're all I need and all my dreams will come true

but I realize you are far,

harder to reach than the farthest star

I stepped back and I fall,

I thought you'd catch me, so your name I call

Sad to know you weren't there,

in my lonely nights and great despair

sad to say I could never have you,

because I was careless and my love was so true

and now I'm back to my old sanity,

my fame is in deep vanity

for the man I love had faded away,

and caused my thoughts to go astray!

First love, you know silly things happen

Sometimes silly things happen,
like that, now, old night,
when we named a star,
just to enjoy the following of the cliche,
the sibling from the one that brought us apart.

Hearts filled with the whole innocence from,
You being the one,
and I being the best one.
What contained bits of the irony of us calling our first love,
"forever",
knowing with our premature fascination for words that,
first,
is the start of a sequence,
is what comes before all others in time or order,
which was indeed what it was.

And sometimes not so silly things happen,
like us growing apart.
or mainly, growing,
for us to realize that we were - actually - not that into each other.

But back then, in those minds and hearts of two young and naive preteens,
we would believe anything that came from the others lips,
those lips that were our firsts and till then our only ones, or so we said...
to keep up with our diminishing innocence.

Do you...
do you remember how our star was called?- I asked, that one last night.
hoping you did remember, knowing you didn't.
To receive the expected answer,
which just confirmed what I already knew,
and apparently,
you did too.

After that kiss you said good bye,
and never looked back,
which was actually fine,
cause I had already done that,
just that,
well,
not out loud.

Now you know,
sometimes silly things happen,
like me saying it now,
Thank you my first love,
I'll never forget those lips of yours,
goodbye.

Broken Heart

And the love of a white birch tree bent,
lowered her branches like gray hair.
In the middle of life somehow inadvertently
I looked at the sky, dropped a tear.
I saw a world of childhood, love and happiness.
There and you shine, my star,
But you lit late or too early
This sky star, in this life.
You looked at me in love look
I became a bride, but we are not close.
You said crying again disappearing into the stars:
"In this world strange to start late."
I stand and look at this height I wanted,
I'm looking for my long-awaited star there.
I stand and look up, the stars are very snowy,
I'm looking for a star there, my most tender.
I ask and pray that you come back soon,
Will join us on the earth warme

YOU SMOKE IN MY FEELINGS

My African woman, you earthly diamond that glitters before my eyes
My African angel, you heavenly star that shines in my smoky feelings
My African queen, you precious gem that settles in my webby heart
My African goddess, you succulent pebble of love
My African miracle, you smoke in my feelings

You are a star, a blue star with sparkle
You are so bright, so bright that sun’s rays belong to you,
You are a gemstone, so precious that you command the pearls,
Aren’t my eyes just stunned? Turning green like a true peacock,
Aren’t you the one, who smokes in my feelings?

I feel glued to your succulent curves, I feel like holding and gluing them in my hands,
But you shine, your sunny rays distort my feeble magic flutter
You the flower of life, your scent is fragrance to romance
You unroll your sweetness before my very eyes, the illusions rub my disillusion
Just before I wake, you smoke in my feelings

My African Woman, the gracious river of my soul
I want to hear you speak, your whispers are musical to my heart
Your breeze pushes my chill away, your warmth boils my cold blood
Nothing really compares to your impeccable beauty, but i know now you know,
That you are the smoke that smokes my feelings

Yours African,

A Concert For Death In My Symphonic Life

At night I like to look to the sky and remember the lost ones by whom I'm inspired The angels Rena, Toni, Jeromiah, and David all showed me something, how can I repay them? My heros whos lives, troubled like mine yet never once did they ever fail to shine even as they thought they mattered not I noticed the love for the life through they fought every time they woke from the bed until one by one, my heros, fell dead When I remember, even though, ago long, I look to the heavens, and sing them a song. I feel them smile, and clap for another I give it all my love, like I do Teddy and Randy, my brothers who pulled me out of the hole in my head and gave me the strength to carry the dead into my concert, a symphonic life for its what they give me, when we get lost in the night.

My Brightest Star

Today, my brightest star is still my baby This reference she may find disagreeable Sometimes the things she says make my head spin Leaves me speechless as I listen to her opinions My first and only, beautiful and a definite miracle Although that’s another story Sent to me when I’d given up all hope Through her I’ve leaned some patience Well, at least much more than before She inspires me to live life to its fullest Without fear of neither present nor future To love without expectation Finding a peaceful existence within She may not enjoy the art of cooking And has no green thumb for gardening Yet has this extraordinary love for people Which shines in beautiful smiles easily shared She is my brightest star in this life! ~*~

So enchanting and divine
Oh, how I feel alone and lost
I only have the stars in the deep sky

The stars glory their inner shine
they twinkle here and there
the loneliness flies away
the bright stars light my way

from loves heaven
you do speak
singing enchanting
so very softly
caressing in the deepest
floating one
into the clouds

i am your dust
sweet caster sugar
blowing beautiful on you
sprinkling
in the softest
of feelings

floating among'st the stars
they would wink to you
in a wishing trail
in a scattering
of magic dust
the moon smiles down

on such a beautiful face
blushing roses
hold the colour
in the scent
divine upon
the skin

lavender coloured words
melting sweet
smelling jasmine
warm blowing
a summer breeze
in the mind

speaking ever so softly
whispering to you
in the daisies
making for you a chain
i blow upon the wings
of a butterfly

my lips flutter
kissing a bouquet
princess
gentle landing
emotion
in happiness
a teardrop

a butterfly kiss
i blew it from the stars
passed the smiling moon
it landed on you
a planet

a fairy princess
from the frog
standing out
you do beautiful

Glimmering Stars

there is glittering among the planets
the sky gives way to surround
unique forms of colored star lights
each kernel of light blue or green or red
pulls its trailing tail fast-forward
weaving together many colors
the dark black background defines
traveling star light and gives birth
to each a new colored glow
the head of each star is at its brightest as
its body light starts to fade
it is an orchestra of shimmering light
each color like the note of a song
singing through the darkness

Falling Star

When the dawn embraces the universe
Darkness intensifies to cloak the sky
The gaze of mortal sees nothing but night
Then you rise from above exuding your light

You are the moon that reigns above
Enduring the sleepless time of wicked sky
The prowess of the knight flawlessly conjure elegance
A strength that marks within my weakened heart

I came to see what hell is all about
Just to find out that heaven’s is within my grasp
That when I tried to touch its mysterious existence
It disappears right before my naked eyes

Nightfall conquers the universe
Then you came at the darkest hour
Shadows are only seen when there’s light
And you don’t need it with your contrasting might

Blinded oath and selfless dreams
Becomes the reason why there are transient wills
No one is accepted for well-minded ruler
Frosted hope vanishes from nowhere

If wisdom is your sanctuary of hope
Where principles are vows that cannot be broken
Choice is a myth older than a Merlin
I am a casualty of this unorthodox ideals

Let me be the garish star
The fixed luminous shining dot of the night
Let me descend and be at my daunting hours
Until I find my perfect place in the sky

I might be seen by others as the brightest
Playing with the gleaming cadence light
Again let me subside for several times
Or perhaps forever until fate becomes mine

A prisoner of this dream might lost
Cease to live with passion to change the order
But if it’s the only way towards the moonlight
I shall walk with this illusion until I die

Because my hopes shall live forever
That there will come a time
That the keeper of the sky might fall
To the illusion I weaved, it shall exists
To free the soldier of the night
To have the liberty in chasing all the odds-
And give the privilege
To catch this Falling Star…#

Tough As Nails

Hopeful doesn’t mean stupid
That doesn’t mean I wasn’t stupid
I was in a state and messed up
Simple as that.

I could dramatize
Spill all the stars from my eyes and mouth and cry out for answers but,
I won’t.
My spirit can dance alone.
A lapse in judgement will not throw it off beat because it dances to a cosmic drum. My heartbeat and no one else’s.

Dropped my shield
Set myself on fire
Burned up a daft dream
And fell to ashes.

I’ve proven to relate to the phoenix
Both of us know what it’s like to die a quick death and come back stronger
Time and time again
Our ashes swirl into the manifestation of our desires and in that I find my comfort.

Boulders
Hard topped, granite counters
Tough as nails kid
But kid is man or at least he pretends to be.

Smart phones aren’t so smart but, I’m writing this on one
Sedatives and sad, country music mood swims through my veins.

Excuse me, while I go have a drink with that phoenix.

one wish

i see far far away
wishing upon
one star
inside beauty
she shines
in a song
sweet words
begin playing

in cold
blue moon
dancing emotions
blowing in clouds
casting silver shadows
on feelings
tears falling
within a soul

touching heartstrings
a music box
emotions turning
swelling an ocean
waves to you
droplets it rains
on wings
of a dove
one beautiful soul

shining horizon
warm in the distance
alone dreaming
looking into darkness
awaiting each night
a shooting star
with my wish
come true

The Moth and the Star

Once upon a time, in a place, not too far off,
In the dark, by the moon, there lived a family of moths.
Now, for those who don't know, a moth is like a butterfly,
but instead of vibrant colors, their wings are pale white.
Moths are known to come out and dance around fires at night,
and though it can be dangerous, they love its brilliant light!
When the sun would end its job and it was time to leave,
a family of moths would begin their late routine.
Their tradition was to dance around a yellow glowing flame,
of a streetlight, freshly lit, every eve, the family came.
-But there was one young moth who never did take part,
instead of dancing by the burning host, he preferred a star.
It seemed merely a twinkle, upon a branch of a great tree,
he felt, someday, if he could gain the strength, that star he'd reach.
Now his mother and his father scoffed and both would ask him why,
does he not join his brothers and his sisters by their side.
"Your brothers all are greatly singed, when will you take your turn?
Your sister's wings have turned to black, yet, you don't have one burn!"
Despite their scolds, despite their taunts, the little moth still aimed,
for that shining star he never knew was trillions of miles away.
He'd flap his wings, though he'd fly high, he could not ascend,
and every night, he'd fall just short and wait to try again.
But then, one day, he turned around and saw he was alone.
His entire family was gone, burned like butter on the stove.
And now that he was an old, old, moth he finally came to see,
that he, indeed, had reached his star, and it wasn't above the tree.

This Game

Heavenly bodies, heavenly beings;
living entities unfettered by gravity.
Spinning marbles in a universal box.

God’s favorite game,
knuckle busters are smacking planets,
right and left and the debris reforms…
new…marbles…pee-wee dust.

Cat-eyes glow as they sail apart; agate smacks!
The “Big Bang” was…
God taking his first shot.

Heavenly bodies, heavenly beings;
God makes no distinction between his children,
as we humans prefer to believe.

It’s been said that, “reality is an illusion”;
perhaps we are only marbles in the game;
like our sibling planets.

Lost in a spinning swirl of colors;
we roll blindly through life.
Puries and steelies;
clacking out cosmic crescendos.

God knuckles down and shoots;
bluesy-Earth smacks a trilite,
Mars and chips a new crater.

Another steely sends alley Jupiter,
smacking into its own moon and a whirling
Io slams grasshopper Neptune from behind.

In parallel universes, we meet ourselves;
repeating mistakes, we never win;
a hazard of being…lesser gods.

God’s game is multi-universal
and human perception,
terribly finite.

The great hand, histing;
fires…Earth gets another tour of the Milky Way.
As heavenly body-clacks resound;
all heavenly beings sustain injuries,
that will change them.
No one stays the same.

Perigee to apogee;
Earth centers herself for the next attack.
Orion and his daughters laugh and applaud,
as the last shots, miss them.
While the gibbous cheeks of dragon Sun;
Spit fire-flares in self defense.

Singed Saturn loses another precious ring.
It doesn’t matter in this game of marbles;
God plays and wins, every time;
then collects us all,
for another game.

the gravity that pulled all of this together

the star dust in your soul
                                                      amazes me
                                         it spills between my fingers
                                              between my synapses
                                                      unto ground
                                                      made of air

i see the places i have been
and the places i need to go
                                             when i lay witness to
the star dust in your soul

                                                  it's all consuming
                                                       the big bang
                                                    within the brain

                                                     just to observe
                                                    your effulgence
the nimbus that crowns your lovely head

                                                        this is worth
the 5 or 6 billion years
                                                    i've been waiting

The Heavens Above - Revised 10813

Falling Star
Your time in the heavens,
Has come to an end,
Slowly plummeting earthward,
You bid a fiery goodbye,
To all your friends.

Orion
There is a hunter,
Orion is his name,
He circles the Earth,
In relentless pursuit,
Of some unseen game.

The Moon
The man in the moon,
Catches me in his gaze,
He throws down some light,
And encourages my shadow,
To come out and play.

The Stars
The stars above,
Pierce the blackness of night,
Visually stunning,
Like hundreds of diamonds,
Sparkling in the light.

The Universe
As I stand here alone,
And look up at the sky,
I can’t help but wonder,
How I’m seen,
By those way up high.

Some random thoughts that came to me during my evening walks. I love to walk in the evening so I can look up at the sky and marvel at all that is there. Stayed tuned, there's more to come.

See See I can do it too

Words elevated to a dazzling height
Silently answering perfections plight

Love strung together to make a sentence
Hate molded to become a pen

Time yields to patience
Rage bows to zen

Transcending a mind
A unique voyage just to find

That my pain is not my own
The dark is not for me to own

A star sits in a dark corner weeping
Its light flickering, its tears beckoning

Waiting to be rekindled, be reborn
Its essence weakened, its passion torn

Unable to help, my flame long since extinguished
But her whispering screams need to be relinquished

My history a possible remedy to her heart breaking agony
So I slowly open scars I closed indefinitely

I bleed memories and thoughts, hoping her tears will stop
Synchronized … as her tears and my blood drops

For every memory, a tear is traded, for every thought the corners of her mouth move up a inch
The darkness recedes as her light increases

Her tears slowly transform into pieces, pieces of poetry
Convincingly showing my blood a forgotten beauty

… I smile …

Sometimes the dark holds a star waiting to soar
People see it as scary, but the dark, yes the dark has so much more

Weep With We No More

Have you seen
them?
My distant uncle?
My distant aunt?
Two crowns on
their head,
Revered by the
Germanics,
and more.

Adorned,
beautifully
By the star
sprangled
Banner.
Their journey
began
two thousand score
ago.

Born by Vespucci.
Nurtured by
Columbus.
Explored and
exploited,
By the lionic lambs.
Just as Darwin
gave the forecast.

They became
slaves,
In their very own
heaven.
Dressing the
garden
of their slavers.
Growing the
plantation
for a little pence.

Yet, they tolerated,
Looking for a
safety,
And smiling still,
with the lions.
But lifting their
eyes
To the very hills.

Jefferson came an
answer
On the fourth of
the
Seventh.
Not without
haemoglobin
were they made
freeborn.
Gettysburg
followed suit.

The street of the
wall.
The huge
depression.
The women's fight.
The winter war.
The nine,
of the eleventh.

Yet, she produces
more calcium,
In the face of
Panarin's forecast
Of the star
sprangled
Banner
into six shreds.

Now we cry
For our parents to
Divorce.
For the reason
of haram's threat
We accelerate
lysosome.

No more divorce,
Contested or
uncontested.
Daddy and
mummy, you
need each other.
You will do this
For the sake of
your children.

You faced the
inferno
Of the ninety and,
Sixty six;
And you scaled
the hurdle;
Unsinged.

You have seen
worse,
Than the inferno.
Yet, Jesus, and,
Kudirat
Have been faithful;
To a fault.

They said we have
reached the finish
line.
But your children
have just begun.
Though we fall
and stumble,
It won't get to us.

You have built us
a home; green
white green.
Not perfect, but
respectable.
We have nowhere
to go;
For our home and
hope
belongs with you.

Ebiem had
designed
a new cartograph;
A post nup.
But mummy,
daddy,
Your divorce will
fling
Your children into
penury.

But Ebiem we tell
you,
Hilary believes in
our
Future.
Clinton says our
Future
is limitless.

Mummy, daddy,
we arise,
We obey your call,
To a fault.
Your past labour
won't come to
nought.

We are one big
family.
A threat to the
enemies.
A refuge to the
oppressed.
Like the broom
bunch,
We can't be
broken.
So weep with we
no more!

Shine Bright Tonight

another night I run to you
only for a kiss
and within a whisk,
you're off
into the land you want to be in
I have come home
to see you leave
and then I'm left
here daydreaming
when you say you'll come back
but you never do
until my eyes
have already turned blue
until I can no longer want to think
you'll be back in time
for you to see
the light on my face
when you make me smile
someone has been gone
for quite a while
and you tell me to wait
and wait I do
until I can no longer want
to wait for you
oh, if I could stay out
I'd dream all day
of things I want to do
but work keeps me this way
and you can dream all you want
because I've given that to you
but now I want my turn
yet I'm still turning blue
I keep hearing you say
great things are coming now
but all I see
is my bank empty
and me, working
struggling to buy shoes
when you
shine with all your gold
you buy for yourself
as I resist from buying pants
I might want but don't need
you shine some more
and I become lonely.
Oh shine bright tonight,
wherever you are
I've begun to not care
how you'll be a star
because I need to let myself go too
and all I see are diamonds
shining bright on you.
maybe if I could do what you do
I'd shine like a star
I'd shine just like you.

The Snowy Life of Two Loving Ghosts

Taking suggestions especially on this poem. This is a first draft and I like it, but I don't have time to edit at the moment. Thank you!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The two ghosts dance through the barren forrest,
leaving footsteps to be pondered about
by the man who owns the land in the morning.
Howls and Screams and Laughter and Love
fill the dewy dark sky.
The two, lovers in death,
never knowing of the truth,
that their lives were taken
Snowfalls before,
being murdered in these woods,
their throat slits and their bodies mutilated,
No one knew who they were.

But here they are again,
running through the spindly trees,
taking in the scenes of their
eternal winter.
He takes her hand,
leading her to an opening in the trees,
a perfect circle, no light insight
but the stars above,
so beautiful,
so prominent.
Theres not a place in this town
better than this
to see the future amongst the stars.

They came here that day,
tent in one hand,
telescope in the other;
their thoughts in the air.
They were seventeen,
Seniors awaiting the approval
of a diploma,
They should be studying,
mid-terms next week.
They took a fatal break,
spent the night together,
only belonging to each other.

The ghosts;
who's sight doesn't recognize
the spot of their demise.
They sit on top of a large smooth stone,
Left their by the world in it's hurry.
They gaze upon the stars,
waiting for the world to reveal itself.
The screams and wails and love still permeate the air.

They fell asleep in each others arms,
and so they never heard the footsteps,
the drunken laughs of men full of sin,
ready for some action.
They found the tent,
they killed the innocent souls,
but instead of leaving they bodies,
they left the ghosts,
taking the bodies and
depositing them in the freezing lake.
They then sat upon the rock,
laughing about the deed done,
passing out in the deadfall of snow.

The transparent lovers jump to the snow,
throwing themselves down to sleep the night away.
They cuddle,
protecting each other from the snow,
the danger,
the truth.
The smile,
and with one last scream,
they kiss,
disappearing,
merging with the snow,
Part of the world,
and this spot full of false truths.

No longer do lively bodies wander about the woods,
and the owner hardly visits.
But a few times each winter,
when the snow has fallen so deep,
You can hear the screams,
the howls,
the laughter
and the love
of two ghosts
dancing in the snow.

the Triumph of the Pen

Oh winging Heart on a mission
to the edge of forever,
speed to the beloved with a message of Love.

We look in a different way,
with the Heart do we see,
and in that wondrous seeing,
is the feeling of awes majesty!

Yeah, that's the way to overcome
the 'thought police' inside the head;
doubt is the Heart killer
and so with this pen,
we’ll write our Hearts out again and again,
and if they judge the words we say,
to dash our Dreams in any way,
then we'll write even more to soothe the Soul
for the writing life is our Loving goal!

This triumph of Love carried to our pen
where in our written words Love lives again ...

A writer writes and never stops writing
and rewrites and writes again and again ...
and he never stops writing except to Dream,
perhaps to reach for that Star in that Star crowded Sky
and bring that Star to the end of his Pen
and write like plasma all over again ...

Shh, the Stars are talking

The stars have called me…
And whispered in my ear:
“Why stay in…
when the lights of her eyes haven’t ceased shining?
Shining as bright as the stars in heaven,
And as unique as the snowflakes the clouds send down…
Quiet…and alone she stands,
Fondling with her hair strands…
Glancing at the moon with a vibrant gentle face…
…watch as she sighs and slowly closes her eyes
With a tear streaming down her face…
Alone she stands…
Become her cape and keep her warm,
Hold her close and tell her you won’t let go…
Whisper in her ear and tell her: “I am here…”
If she asks what has brought you here, ask her this:
“If our meeting wasn't because of fate, then why have we met?”
But if she insists…
Whisper to her…
”The stars called out to me… asking me to guide you home,
Back to the heavens where you have left your wings…”
That I’m sure she’ll believe…”
I swear…that’s what the stars said…
And…alone here you stand…
Fondling with your hair…
Gazing at the moon…with a tear mark on your face…
…Pardon me miss…but you seem to have left your wings back home…

Morning Star And Friend

Morning Star with friend so close but so far
Focal point on canvas of dull blue
With faintest pink on the eastern horizon
In the stillness and quiet roosters sing once again
Joined by the crickets,
it sounds like "Hallelujah Chorus "
Each second a little more light from morn's sun
As the sun comes over horizon, morning star and friend
Gradually decrease in light...
John said in the "Bible", " I must decrease as Jesus increase"
Jesus' light is now the only one to follow..

An Astronaut

I think I was an astronaut
Aimed for the stars.
They fill me up;
They refuel my tank.
They enable me to believe,
Telling me to never give up
As they follow me all of my days.
If only we could see the beauty
That they truly are.
They shout out dreams
That we can reach so far.
Climb into the rocket
And liftoff!
On a journey to discover ourselves,
We are taught so much more,
Learning our goals are only a plan away.
Even thought we must return,
I know that I will be back.
I am an astronaut,
And we always reach for the stars.

New star In My Sky

You are a new star in my night sky I can only imagine how many miles away you are.
You alone shine so bright the only star I wish upon.
You stand out amongst the others, my one true love who I seek each night.
Before I go to bed and lay my head upon my pillow, I look for you my star, as I say
my good night prayers, I count my blessings in my life.
All so many blessings to count one by one so I start with my favorites. As I look to
the sky and look for you and say good night and I look forward to a new day so I can
see You in the night sky.

Dead Stars

'Those stars,' she says while pointing, 'are balls of hot gas
Consuming themselves, and most of them are gone by now,
But their light remains for all of us
To see.' She smiles...
She says goodbye

She smiled.
She's gone. (Another star dies from a distance.)

She smiles so elegantly, I remember, She wore a dress.

She was captivating. I remember,
'It's the light that we find beautiful in the dark.' she said.
(A beam of light creeps into my eye)
It pains to remember a moment when a star still lived
but it holds its own on days past goodbyes.

I could only wait for her beauty to grace me yet again
(Finding a similar star set on the self-same sky).

The song you never sing

Im a living disgrace
a Personification of self hate
a walking representation of "what a waste"
my personal pain and anquish rises up and radiates
it cuts me down and chops me in to peices
Till theres nothing left of me at all
Im losing this battle
between my mind ,me and the rest of reality
and all the while everyone has helped me fall
they have helped to fall further into the point of no return
and im discinegrating
and its pathedic
cause no one will care
when there truely is
nothing left of me
just wait and see
ill die without a name
a star that never shined
it burned out before it reached anyones eyes
Ill be the song you never sing*
the rythm you never will hear
I will always be a burnt out star with no name
because I never even
Existed

Angel of Dawn

O' the angel of dawn! Hold my hand And as you rise, embrace my ailing heart To shield it from the grave sight of the well-lit moon melting into drops Of dew when the burning sun is born In the heart of the diseased sky That loses the beads of twinkling stars And adornment on the forehead of night's bride O' the angel of dawn! Embrace my eyes And as you rise, usher me to the world of trance Where there lies a million such beads On the forehead of the blooming sky Born out of the ashes of the gleaming sun When the twilight breaks the era of blinding morn Erase the dreams to awaken my soul When the angel of sundown is born

My Only Star

I used to wonder why there isn’t a star in the sky.
Pondering on the interstellar ado
Staring endlessly at the blank cosmos.
I searched for an answer.

I look up and far for my star
Unknown to me the answer had come
I was able to see my star
The star that would shine for me

As days passed, I quietly found an answer
I waste no time to pass
I seemly had a riposte.
I quickly held her hand.

I know why the stars reside
Coz they know you are the brightest
At this canopy I wrote an emblem of my love
I gave to you

This forlorn world might be dark
And even when things are undone
Always remember why I love you
For all eternity you will always be my star.

(This is for you my love Sarrah)

Rock and Roll Fav

My favorite artist is Mick Jagger.
I love his croon and his swagger.

Watching him dance is an awesome thing.
Not to mention the songs that he sings.

He's a talented artist, royalty too.
Being knighted, this was his due.

So honoring him in this poem of mine,
Is a pleasure and makes my soul shine.

I also hope that others see this too.
This is the end, I bid you adieu.

I Wish

I wish I could lay under the stars forever and waste away with the world.
I wish to connect their dots in every way possible,
Trying again and again to make the perfect shape.
I wish the moon would smile back at me, and the stars would wave.
We would be friends, spending eternity together.
I wish to absorb the brightness of the night sky, to keep it in a box for safe keeping.
I wish you would lay under the stars with me,
So I didn’t have to enjoy them alone, so we could make memories together.
However, we don’t always get what we wish for.

The Water Bearer

He carries a jar, full of water;
water that no one knows its source!

He pours water as he stands beyond
the stars, as Pisces, the twin fish, continue
to rule over their astrological reign
on Earth.

Just like their predecessor, Aries,
they will end their astrological reign,
when water from the Water
Bearer’s jar reaches Earth.

Flame in despair

A star in the night
Can shine as bright
As the sun

A light for the ill
that pay their bill
till live ‘s done

This star has a heart
Of golden art
Full of love

The dark in the deep
Will rest and sleep
Like a dove

When the star stands out
Calm - not aloud
Shows its might

The dim is not healed
But it is sealed
In the light

plays on pipes

A Shining Light

The rope and wood swinging old bridge
Stretched across the great cavern
Below at least thousand feet
Runs a river of swift beauty_almost heaven

Darkness has overtaken the day
Each sway of the rickety bridge_fear
The wind tugs the rope to movement
Fear surrounds me grasping holding tightly

Then a shining light lights the way
Caresses and warmth envelop me
Each hold and step is lighted just for me
As if a guiding light of a star appears
The star that is my leading force

As longing for the other side rushes over me
Where truly a home of heavenly comfort waits
The light lifts and lightens my steps and carries me home
Where eternal peace and fulfillment wait enfolding me in the lights warmth

these thoughts do appear

Each star in the heavens
including the sun
atomic explosions
yes each every one

each star in the night sky
is really a sun
the distance makes little
yes each everyone

Solar mists of hidden time
the planets a roving
the meteors climb
black night space

surrounds this space
and still we have the hidden face
black matter still unknown
when will we learn of your hidden thrown

The Other Side of Silence - The other Side Of Tomorrow

The soft glow of the moon wrapped around me
Dressing me in her while, golden splendor
My heart inhaled its awesome beauty
Standing in the warm summer eve
I watched it drop into the ocean on the far side of the shore
Underneath the canopy of silver stars
A star shot into the Universe…
I wonder just where it went

The haunting infinity of it all, the Universe and Stars
It blankets the Earth in majestic wonder
The full moon’s heart of love
Gives us life from death and death from life
As day turns into night and night into day

Do not tread lightly in the Heavens
The secrets carried by the Universe are upon your doorstep
Learn its perfume ~ listen to its delicate pearls of wisdom
Observe the constellations ~
Bend gracefully into their radiance as you listen to the messages they send
Surrender to the coming of the New Dawn…Drink deep from the rivers of all knowledge
On the other side of silence ~ on the other side of tomorrow

Star spangled

Here I am darling
at the center
of my everything,
gazing over a lake
looking upon
silver stars lovingly
dancing inside ripples.

Sparkling in
a moving mass
kisses gently ,
touching deep waters,
blinking diamond thoughts
upon a moon face,
reflections flooding
through the mind
every last one shines
sweetly on
you my love.

In the Morning

Its morning, when I turn my eye
To where the light folds up the shadows
Over rooftops, as if the shutters rise.
And where the clouds drift aimlessly,
Across the prairie skies.
The planet, turning slowly on its axis.
Spins through the heavens, silently.
As I think about my day, and sip my tea.

And in the world outside,
The sunlight falls upon the chestnut tree,
Its golden syrup mingling with the dew,
Shimmering through the branches and the bough,
And in the dappling light, the day begins anew.

Its morning time as I sip my tea,
When I'm filled with grace.
The earth sails quietly on its way,
Through the cold expanse of space.
Distant oceans of turquoise,
Fall under sunless skies,
And watch the celestial fires flare out,
To greet their own demise.
The stars long dead, are living still,
In far off galaxies,
And store their dreams within the beams,
Of light they send to me.

And in the world outside,
Where the sky is azure blue.
The honey bees are suckling,
On the last of the morning dew.
The birds are chirping noisily,
High up on the chestnut tree,
And the chicks inside the nested eggs,
Are struggling to be free.

Its morning time,
As I put on my shoe,
I think of every lie I heard,
And the ones I thought were true.
The waves of long forgotten seas
Are crashing to the shore,
And the stars that rose at nightfall
Are the lights beneath my door.
I will take a moment,
Before I tie my lace,
To think of the universe
And ponder of my place.
The stars are just the pearls,
That shine beneath the sea.
The moonbeams are the lights,
That guide us to be free.
And as I sit alone,
Sipping on my tea,
I find myself revolving,
As the earth revolves with me.

There are demons in the heavens,
Angels trapped in hell,
And the gods among the stardust,
Just attract us and repel.
The eagles are left swooping,
On the valley floor below.
As the sun reflects the light
In its majesty and glow.

STRING OF STAR

STRING OF STAR

Getting you as a dream come true
Is the biggest star in my life
I may have four aces
But the star is strange you cannot total love
Even, having a star studded picture
Without you, my star, my sweetheart nothing in my future
Having you is a special feature
The countless strings… you are my life, my love, my future
These strings of stars are pure
You are a star guiding me
You are not only within my grasp, but you are inside me
Before we know it we are one
One singularly one
Forever more!

Be My Butterfly

The sunset glows and no one knows it's you
Don't be afraid
The stressful day has pulled you away from love
Once again
All the shade will slowly fade in time
Behind your eyes

You try so hard, it falls apart
Hold on tight with all your might
Extended arms open wide

Be my butterfly
Take flight butterfly
Fly high butterfly

The moonlight stares while taking care of you
Through the night
Every tear you cry a distant star will die
Until you sleep
A shooting star is what you are to me
I promise you

You try so hard, it falls apart
Hold on tight with all your might
Extended arms open wide

Be my butterfly
Take flight butterfly
Fly high butterfly

Before you wake the morning waits for you
With a smile
A great release of graceful peace arised
Inside your heart
You begin to stand with both your hands held high
Stretched to the sky

You try so hard, it falls apart
Hold on tight with all your might
Extended arms open wide

Be my butterfly
Take flight butterfly
Fly high butterfly

Love more

I was walking down the street one night
I see people staring out their window’s frames
Looking tired and lonely in the night
Most in every single day
We stumbled in the dark clouds of life

This universe is beautiful & large
The power can give us everything

Each star is a dream hanging in the sky
Each star is a prayer waiting to be answered
Have you ever thought of it?

The wind is not just a vacant puff of air
The power can send your prayer into the open sky
And turned your hope into a sparkling star
To brighten up the dark sky
To give you a comfort night

I don’t care how far this loneliness will take me
I don’t care how long ‘till I found what I’m looking for

‘Coz I got soul to love more
And I got life to learn more

Star Gazer

These three magic rocks, I hold tight in my hand
Rolling them over, now, what could I plan?
Leave my reality? A new opportunity?
How should I use them? The power they hold...
Can they take me away, as I have been told
To magical places, ...to far-away lands?..

But oh the dilemma, how can I choose?
A place where I could leave all my worries behind?
As I stood there and pondered, under a star filled sky
Searching my heart, to find peace of mind
One star caught my eye, as it dangled so bright...
And I knew.... I must visit the heavens tonight!

Closing my eyes, I made a wish on the stones
In a gust of wind, I was no longer alone
Suddenly appeared was a heavenly tree
Up through the branches were stair steps for me!
I climbed up the limbs, as it reached for the sky
I climbed and clung, as I climbed up so high..

Below the horizon stretched and grew
Till the earth swung free in a tide of blue
Weary and stiff, but fiercely proud
I swung at last to a ledge of a cloud
I sat and I looked at the earth that I know
Then realized the troubles that live down below
When I'd rested enough from my head to crown
I left my soft loft and I climbed the tree down

I see things much clearer, from up high in the air
I'm now super-hero who followed a star
In my pocket, the rocks that used to be there
Remind me that children need more than a tear
To look to the sky when their world seems unfair
If their worries come back and a nightmare is there
I'll quickly escort them up heavenly stairs....

Sol's Twin

Sol’s Twin

A red stormy star
The sister of the star that provides life
In an orbit out of the solar system
It will return to do a galactic dance with the sun we know
Evil living in the cold of space
It will approach the planets burning them as it passes
Beautiful blue-green Earth floating as it had forever
Life being lived under a crystal blue sky
Children playing and laughing
Their parents watching TV to hear the latest news
A yellow star and a red star fight for a meager planet
A that moment God deserts the people of Earth
The red star passes close to the planet
The ground shakes, the water boils and everything dies
Then, as it was in the beginning there is no air, no water, no Earth
Everything is silent
Everything is gone except two stars passing each other
And that is the end

SILVER STAR

SILVER STAR

I have long since lost Hope,
because my paths are so endlessly long and aimless,
as if sculpted out of my restless spirit
in the long nights of reverie.
You know, Lord... I used to have my Hope.
It was so nice to stand next to the Christmas tree
with my mother,
and look at its proud top,
where our silver star shone,
my favorite Hope.
To me, a child who never decorated his own tree,
it was the biggest Christmas tree in the world,
and the brightest star beyond the heavenly dome.
Each night before Christmas we would return to the same place
with the same desire and faith,
until our terrible companions, the long, cold nights
have invoked death
and stolen my mother.
I am motionlessly standing and staring into this dark, cold night,
like an avenger yearning for revenge,
and a thin woman in rags is passing me by,
whispering warm words into a child's frozen ear.
The child is looking up with the same gaze
like I did when my mother used to show me the silver star,
whispering into my frozen ear
that someday I shall touch that silver star too,
silvering all the orphanages of this dark world.
Her warm words are still crossing my mind:
„Son, always stand on your toes and look up...
and you shall touch your star!“
My eyes have long since stopped sparkling
and they don't look up.
They used to be the big, bright eyes of a child,
that shone in the dark,
like two young embers that were just set afire,
but now... oh, now my eyes are but burnt out embers
in the squeezing fist of the cold world.

You know, Lord, how much I wanted to stand on my toes
and look up,
but life always threw me back to my knees.
I admit that I haven't been standing on my toes for a long time,
but I am not kneeling, either,
I am only looking down
into the dark reflections of people's characters,
and my Hope is once again so far away,
as if it's afraid of my faithful squire,
which is standing at the bottom of the silky net,
not like a flym
but like a master of many a fly big and small,
because Death has that justified purpose
to come for its flies regardless of their size.
I am not looking at death like a fugitive,
but a penitent man,
who wants just another chance.
How strange it is, Lord,
that even a man abandoned by Hope wants his chance.
Yes, Lord, I admit
that I would like to stand on my toes once more,
below the biggest Christmas tree in the world,
and touch our silver star.

Heard Her Radio Song

Sweet voice calling me
From pedestal so high
Might never come down
So I'll climb up

Still remembering past joy
When love was new
Innocence still on lips
Trapped now in glory

Face in electric windows
Looking back at me
Once there each morning
Cheek on my chest

Singing passion in ear
My body her instrument
Played it so well
We became as one

Our World Of Stars

And my world that cuddles another heart next to mine as my stars pulse and fall in line to discover another, she is beauty pure while we discover each other warming the flavor of air. The moon spreads rays evergreen blowing them wistfully through the frames, that I'm connected with a universe harmless, beautiful, and simple. She breathes in me,holding my hands like a soft bracelet of stars glittering our closed eyes. Anne Currin---Any Poem, Any Subject

Shine above

He looks up
Wishing he could join their orbits
A little star to burn in higher galaxies
Hoping he would rise
And fulfill his fantasies
Little stars hoping they would join
The heavenly bodies in their gatherings of intoxication
And kiss the sky
And become part of a constellation
Little star will you burn or burn out
If it takes a dozen light years
To ascend and stand out?

my star 2

To catch my star I followed the rain

And catch each drop, I thought this is pain

To catch my star I chase the wind

And hugged it tight though nothing I gained

I realize then that I was still alone

Thought I could follow you with my wild imagination

But to my dismay though I've done everything

I still ended up with nothing

'Where are you my star?’ I cry

Everyday I look for you in my dreamy sighs

You hide yourself with your shimmering glow

While I try to catch you with my heart full of sorrow

Let me touch you even for once...

And I'll be happy just watching you from a distance.

The Bright Star

O bright star of hope! I admire your beauty and glow
You stand out in the jamboree of twinkling stars of desires
As I see from my dwelling’s window your luminous face so bright
O light in the moonless night of my life how I love your sight!

You belong to kingdom of skies and I domain of earth
Yet it is you that rules over the empire of my craving soul
Do not hide behind the curtain of my dark clouds of despair
As my eyes will open the floodgates of a catastrophic storm
The eyes that enliven with your beauty and your charm

My ship of life will be wrecked without the aid of your direction
You are the blossom of the withering garden of my dreams
Come to me my darling and fill the emptiness of my life
Without you my life is nothing but agony and strife

I recall my youthful days how playful girl I was!
In the game of hide and seek you peeped from hole in cloud
I sang a passionate rhythmic song responding to your implore.
And rendered the profound poetry of Rabindra Nath Tagore

You are the one that bestows light to my imagination
I admire you most O Bright Star in the God’s entire creation
Though sometimes the hope you give is nothing but mirage
But from the stark darkness of anguish better a flicker of hope

Too late for the twenties ticked
into the next moment of a war that left a lack of discovery
Can the the adventurer’s covering cower in the true face of doom
A gloom more morbid as the hairy drunk writer wanders in lust
Writing tales of whales and water warriors that won’t stop.
Quests that have nothing to do with chores
Or the chores of a battle won.
A heretic in his divorced Catholic wife’s eyes.

Midnight Poem

bring forth the midnight star
let me wish upon her shine
grant me her love
let us entwine
blow me a bubble
and replace the moon
glimmer and shimmer
hope is wallow
hard to swallow
the bitterness
of bad wine
in early dawn birds chirp
the air is subtle
dew embraces my feet
is dark the realm of dreams
shadows sway
day warms
twinkle stars smiling
scrambled eggs in bacon grease
ketchup on the table
which realm is living
reach for sleep
do i see myself beyond

North Star

I'm lost
Can't find my way
Into
A brighter day
When I've
Given up hope
You will
Lead me home

You're my
north star in the night
You are
brighter than starlight
guide me
Through all the hard times
You are
brighter than starlight
brighter than starlight

I am
Lost out at sea
And I'm
Slowly drowning (?)
Don't want
To give up hope
Trying
To stay afloat

You're my
north star in the night
You are
brighter than starlight
guide me
Through all the hard times
You are
brighter than starlight
brighter than starlight

Guide me
To a new place
Help me
To find happiness
In the
Dark of the night
Shine with
All of your might

You're my
north star in the night
You are
brighter than starlight
guide me
Through all the hard times
You are
brighter than starlight
brighter than starlight

Together at last dancing with the stars

Stay up with me and gaze at the stars.
Far up and up,together we gaze.
Sinking into the view of connection.
Stay up with me and share this connection.
Would you stay up and up with me,
sharing the view of an astronaut.

Running from the suns heat.
Running on jupiter, enjoying its mysterious beauty .
Off to mars, where we consume intoxicating green glowing goo.
Stumbling drunk to Pluto, creating ice sculptures of each others faces.
Freezing mental pictures in our warm frame of mind.
Stay here on Pluto my dearest, take my love it will keep you warm.
Ill soon be back. Off to saturn to steal its orbiting ring. Running back to pluto with a hang over.

Damn those martians on mars!!!
I stoped on jupiter to vomit and back to pluto I arrived.
She says:baby, honey,my shining star iam glad your back.I am sorry I took so long.I kneeled to the ice and gazed at her eyes saying would you married me.Pulling out saturns ring and making it condense with the power of love.As I placed it on her finger a shooting star passed by.Then I asked her would you stay up and up with me for eternity, gazing at the stars?she saide yes.

Together at last dancing with the stars.

The Star

Out in the fields on a moonlit night, there shines a star
with all it's beauty and light. Its' colors are many; It's
beauty is great. So how can someone say it's a mistake?
The star shines on until someone comes over tells the star
it's shining too bright. The star grows dim, then loses its' light.
Day by day the star gets darker until it disappears, the star that shown
with so much beauty is no longer here. People miss the star that shined
so bright and wish it shined like before. The star hears their wishes
and comes back shining all the more! Why did it stop shining, like stars are
supposed to do? Well, here is one last question. Why do you? People want to
see your light, so like the star, shine full and bright!

Thoughts of a Birthing Star

When Shall I Be the World's
Star........
Thousand eyes would behold me,
I shall shine to lead and guide
the flowage.........When?....Each
moment is ages to me......
Is my incandescence not full
yet? Or I'm so tiny among the
others?
But where my comrades
vanished in this dark sea?
Dreads me this harbinger of
vane......
I may cease to be before my
luminosity illumine this dark wide
world.....
No, no, no, I'd make heavens
blaze with radiance like a
meteor that to give light melts
even,
Discerning child star thoughts
deing star bequeathed, "The
best fire never flares up the
soonest, It would take you
aeons to born out of black
nebula but thou would survive
till the end of time, thine
orientation is of mortals who
are made of haste, behold that
tiny leaf sized abode there they
isolate with conquered feelings
and boast of the potency
gained through book & pen and
over things ice like durable huh!"
Now I've known what for this
wait to me I'll quench this urge
to overlap the ray of time to
eternity.....

Aurora Borealis

The sunrises like the aurora borealis this morning
With the morning star still glowing brightly
Crickets calling for their mates to come
Noise of man already begun

The air is cool with a crispness
Inviting one to stay on the porch
Taking in all God's awaking of the earth
A few whispy ink black clouds grace the sky

Breathing deeply enjoying the oxygen supplied
My body by God who created the earth
Birds begin to sing God's praises
One lone bird flying high in the darkness

He is just a shadow flying by
To grace my morning on the porch
He must be the early bird that gets the worm
There is a stillness but yet a can feel the air move

As the sun comes slowly up the morning star fades
Gradually disappearing from sight
Yet it is still there its brillance hidden by the sun
Each tree shadow takes on a different shape

The colors in the sky constantly changes
Just like our lives, no matter how well planned
Life happens and changes occur for good or bad
With mountain top experiences or down in the valley

God is always there but sometimes
We walk off and leave him
He weeps as we turn our back to go
Thank you God for this time

My time on the porch

On That First Christmas

On that first Christmas morn
When the Christ child was born
We celebrate his birth
And worship and praise
And thank god for sending his son to save

On that first Christmas
The beautiful star shined
In the early morn
The day Christ was born
What a beautiful morn
What a wonderful day
The day Christ came

On that first Christmas morn
When the Christ child was born
Oh Holy Night
A vision of delight
A lonely star did shine
To make that Holy Night bright

Christmas Story

A proclamation was made one day, that each man return to his town of birth for
audit. So in obedience to God, Mary and Joseph left for their long journey.
Though she was heavy with child, and ready to deliver any day, still they went as
directed of God.

The trip was long and arduous, Mary was mournfully in pain. Joseph did what he
could to comfort her, but still the journey made her dread each step upon the
donkey that she rode.

When they had reached their destination and sought a place to stay, they were
told there was nothing and were continually turned away. Except for a kind in
keeper seeing Mary in distress, offered the only thing he had to give, a stable
where she could to rest.

In the stable Joseph gently laid her, to give her comfort from her long journey.
Making sure she had a soft place to lay, he warmed her and saw to her needs.
When the time was near she could hold her cries no longer. And in that moment
the heavens opened and a brilliant star came forth.

The cry of a new born filled the air, as Joseph so carefully wrapped him. Mary
held her new born son and look joyful with tears. As she fell asleep with him in
her arms.

As shepards watched their flocks that night, the star grew brighter still. They
wondered what could cause such a sight and followed where it lead.

From far across many lands, three kings of orient came, they followed the star to
where it lead, wanting to know what it would bring.

Upon their arrival to the humble abode where little Jesus lay, they knew in their
hearts that they were in the presence of the heavenly King of kings. Gifts they
brought to leave the child, each with a meaning not yet known. That night as
Angels sang in heaven, on earth most did not know.

But Jesus grew in strength and wisdom and shown of His Fathers love. He gave
us all a look at the face of our Father God. So we celebrate this birth each year,
not sure of month or day. We hold it in our heart so dear wanting never that it go
away.

So hold dear your loved ones and enemies too. For God sent His gift to all. That
we as sons and daughters may all experience His Glory and Awe.

I say to all with these words of praise, ‘Merry Christmas’, for Christ was born! He
is our greatest gift received from Heaven's Holy Throne.

Merry Christmas and God Bless!

Starry Gaze

As I gaze at the starry sky,
a reflection I see of beauty akin to Versailles,
Venus the goddess shining so bright,
love for all in this dark twilight!

Jupiter floating across the sky,
elevated space on this pretty night,
there's nothing here to dissolve,
just the freedom of space to evolve.

A star from the creator's acre,
my dust from thy maker,
thy temple being very small,
a particle in thee galactic sprawl!

Chaos defined by humanity,
devoid in vacuum and singularity,
all the while time is precariously short,
bent along space lines, there's no star port.

Clouds of gas dissolve and whisps abound,
a parsec past where Mars' redness is found,
ever present emotions set ablaze,
from the light amongst this starry gaze.

Was given the name Dandelion Star
As the cosmic wind blows every spring
Offsprings of Dandelion Star are born
Filling the second heaven with glow
Like the glow of your short life on earth
That filled the hearth and home of your family
God has given you a special place
For your Light to shine forever more
Oh! daughter precious child of God loved
For you I've purchased Dandelion Star
In the heavens as constant presence
And memory of you my birth mother

When We Must Say Goodbye

There will always be a moment in our lives,
When we must say goodbye
When the breath will cease
The light to go out in our eyes.

For who to see this moment through
When togetherness becomes empty
Where the love of two declines
The life of us removes to be.

Into the open space of time
One soul gives chase
Racing off the cosmic breeze
To seek another lonely place.

   Then into the darkness fall
From tears, shall we attempt to rise
To place a memory in our hearts
Beneath a star lit brilliant sky.

Three stars bright with two stars dim
Six stars placed within the night
One star smiles with a wink
Then gives up all existing light.

Now we sit in this moment of life
When dreams become the teardrop eye
We stand to face in sorrowed strength
When we must say goodbye.

MOVEMENT AHEAD

I have seen where men go, when they are lost

I have seen where men go when they are lost

the bright star he held when he was younger
                                                 he can not reach

the bright star he held when he was younger
                                                 he can not reach

winter seems longer now, and summer, not much fun

winter seems longer now, and summer not much fun

"I will wait for you" his brother said,

"and teach you how to find tomorrow again"

      teach you

                 how to find tomorrow

                                       ........again

Tears of a Fallen Star

They could never understand
What they have done to you
You’re often criticized
Of what you haven’t done
Or talked about what you should have done
In denial about what's happening
Making since of nothing so you believe you a star
When they cut you like a chicken
With his head cut off
A true story
A beautiful opinionated moon
In a relationship with a star
A star that has risen from depths
This star was lied to by another star
A star who was envious of him
He told him to go to Earth
Pick roses and come back
But the star forgot
Once you leave no return
Tears of fallen star…
As he looks up and cries to his moon…

Morning

Morning
Morning after the Night
When the star shined so bright
On that Holy Night
Jesus was Born
To bring to the World a light
A light that shines deep inside your heart
To enrich your life with wisdom and light

Morning, Morning
Glorious days when we seek God's mercy
And his ways
All we need to do
Is to go back to that night
And remember the star that shined so bright
On that Holy Night

Open-Mic pt 1

The fallen star emerges walking through the Cafe Latte door./ This place is more than a
coffee shop, it has a poets lounge and a bookstore!/ The fallen star enters the poets lounge
and takes a seat./ Everytime the cafe's entrance opens, you can feel the chill from the
street./
The fallen star relaxes in a plush chair sipping his coffee; he likes it black./ So many
nights to prepare, he's become an insomniac!/ It's open mic and a poet is on the small stage
reciting her piece./ She's talking about "love" and a "spiritual release."/ Her sultry voice and
mesmerizing rhythm has the room very attentive and silent./ Each punctuation, each pause
is meant to be comanding and violent!/ She mentions her soul being like a wilted rose./ Her
voice softens into a whisper as her poem comes to a close./ There is a gentle round of
applause as she steps from the microphone./ She sits down at a nearby table alone./
The fallen star rises from his seat, his heart is hammering in his chest./ He hopes no one
can hear his thunderous heartbeat as he metamorphases into a man possessed!/ The fallen
star takes the mini stage and adjusts the microphone./ He feels a nervous sickness like he's
never known./ He wonders what's wrong with him./ But he knows it's being on this stage in
front of all them./
His eyes close and he takes a deep breath counting to three./ A mask of disquise leaving
this reality!/ Looking at the previous poet in her eyes, he nods his head./ In his mind the sun
begins to rise, and he continues on ahead./ He finds his voice; that internal release./ Thus he
begins his masterpiece:

Noisy When Touched

Sunrises with a different color this morning
Pale pink whispy clouds adorn all the upper sky
A very small crescent moon in the southeasterly sky
Where the morning star resides this time of year

The mist rising from the creek Seems to mingle
With the mist from the smaller
Creek one-quarter mile away
Beyond is the pink striated with gray on the low horizon

I heard the gobbling of turkeys
Or is that hunters doing their calls
Do the turkeys know the difference
If they don't their number is up

As the great star comes on up
The light pierces the golden hickory
Radiating the glory from that tree
Into my line of vision just a few minutes

In the front yard the hugh oaks
Lay down a rug decorated with leaves
Varying colors of tan, brown, and red
It is a noisy rug that crunches when touched

Beyond logic Another reality

Through the piercing silence of the night
Echoes the soul grasping sound
Of the ethereal howling of a pack of wolves
Their song is carried across the air
Over the tree tops to a place of forever

The full moon glows an aura of wonderment
Wolves wail to this celestial body in honor of it
Metaphorically, they are attempting to connect
With ideas that lie dormant in the subconscious
Just below the surface

Like undisturbed stones that nestle comfortably
In the sand upon the apex of a smooth flowing river
Always there but obstructed from view
What secrets reside within us
Waiting to be discovered?
For it is in sleep the unconscious whispers to us,
Shall we lie quietly and listen?

If you don’t cross the bridge
You will never know what’s on the other side
So, if we were not meant to eat
There would be no hunger
Therefore the subconscious must serve a purpose
Who says that logic is the only reality?

I have awakened, to feast my eyes
Upon a gigantic sphinx
Silently it observes me and smirks
A sly, cunning smile masking
Its many mysteries and knowledge
What secrets will be revealed
To me on this night if I listen?

A vast bonfire blazes, and as it cackles
The flames reach above to the star filled sky
Surrounded by spectators, I see a fox, and a coyote
As a glimmering golden hawk accompanied by
A mystical red phoenix encircle the sight, uttering
Words of wisdom, which spread over the ocean of
Canyons creating an echo in which the mountains
Respond in unison, surely there is a message here

Each brilliant star suddenly transposes itself into lines
Of letters, I gaze in awe at the wondrous words
Glittering like silver beads stretching the expanse of
The universe, all unfamiliar, yet tantalizing, languages
From ages ago, no longer spoken, however readily co-existing
Along side modern speech and thought, what may I learn
If I were to study these ancient gems of communication?

Therefore,
I am ready to fly with the essence of the night
Begin a quest into another realm
Of human awareness
Seeking out words and ideas
To bring back

For it is here that thoughts originate
A journey into the other side of myself
Where logic has no relevance
And imagination has no limitations
As the pirate who prepares to unearth
A buried treasure

Okay kill the lights
Close your eyes
Prepare for take-off

Keep me close

The feeling of your hands
clenching onto mine.
We lay side by side
giggling once and a while.
Keep me close

From the time you said hello
to my tears on your shoulder
We avoided the conversation us separating
until the day before.

You knew what I thought
you knew when I was lying
My favorite person in the world
I loved you from then until now.

I think about you every day
wondering if you still feel the same
that star is the only star I wish upon
wishing the same thing every night

Your freckles and dimples,
you smile, you're so unique.
The mud between our toes,
and rain on our eyelashes.

The only regret was leaving you.
I want to remember feeling of your breath.
If I ever see you again
keep me close

leaving the close proximity

i stand as a human
with limbs
roots
offshoots
and plenty of chlorophyll
blood and protein
know what i mean?
i live the star life
not the rock star life
i live on a rock
one rock helps
keep balance from another
rock
... the moon, the earth
the moon is leaving like a tree
she can't take the earth's b.s. anymore
the party has been fun and ash

she needs her space (perpetual)
and the 45 tilt will ebb
will you and i
see it?
no,

FAE IN MY SHADOW

FAE IN MY SHADOW

Still night air, heavy and wet.
Damp my skin; I rise, I sit.
Cloudy dreams lie in shadow.
Whispers of laughter.
Promises of a kiss.
The sound of hummingbird wings. This cannot be.
Midnight flight in Autumn?
Stirring I stand.
My balance amiss.
Flop on the bed once more.
Soft giggles.
A whirring hum.
I listen.
Moonlight catches my eye.
A shadow dance.
My Window shakes.
I ponder the disturbance.
My lack of rest.
Midnight visitors?
I turned on a light,
My feet find a floor.
My shadow led the way.
"To the window, "
I heard them say.
Their voices soft.
Tiny whispers.
As I stood at panes
Of glass, I unhitched
The clasp.
By the fountain they play.
Their skin silver
Shining in moonlight.
Two fairy lovers.
Holding hands.
Legs and feet entwined.
They turned their heads,
Smiling at me.
"Watch us finish this dance."
Then wish it to be.
"You will have a Fae,
Named for thee . "
Their skin glistening,
They touched.
Caressed and smiled.
Aroused I stood.
Entranced I stared.
The lovers took my
Mind to places
Both light and dark.
When finished I wished for
Them; the child they sought.
" Mortal one, it has come to be.
A Fae will be named for thee. "

resplendent iridescence

sit alone

one night and pick out a star;

stare at it until the sky is

forgotten into the infinite blackness

and project yourself into its resplendent iridescence.

extend the ever-reaching arms of your

consciousness into the supreme unknown

and touch the celestial orb with your soul.

cover your mind in its stardust until you

sneeze transcendence.

travel through space-time and embrace

the creator of worlds,

the progenitor of life -

the God without faith.

in every glint of luminous light,

you travel millions of years into the past -

into an eternity unknown.

acknowledge this sacred star

and then pick another.

the cosmos is yours for the taking;

it is the harmony between your soul-mind

and the star that allows it to shimmer.

without you, the universe is empty,

with you, everything is infinite.

wink back at the stars,

because the joke is on them.

Falling From Stars

I ache for the universe’s touch
A galaxy caressing my dreams
Whimsical nightmares ridden by
Stars
Consulting constellations for the wisdom I lack
And I fall among the clustered hive mind
Shooting mere metered doubt
Down and
with Artemis’s blessing
I belong to Orion now
But I drip back into the atmosphere
Steady now! Nevermind the tears, shed the fears!
Hold on to hope,
the celestial rope.
You’ll never be too far now
If your aim is off, you’re still
Falling from stars.

Star Child

The time has come,
For the sun to set.
I become frightened of the night,
And what preys my presence.
But what’s this?
O, joy!
It is you, my moon, shining bright and full,
To light my way.
You take the sparkles,
From my eyes as I look up towards you,
And create the shining silver spots,
Known as the stars.
Then soon I’m floating,
Up towards you like a cloud.
I myself become a star,
But not just any star.
I am the Star Child,
The only star in your eye.

I'm a star

I’m a star, I’m a superstar,
Not because the media says so,
Or because of knew found fame.
I’m a star in my own right.
Because in this darkness,
Because in this misery of mine only,
One star shines vigorously and cast away the fear within me, me.
So can you see me shine?
Shine like the superstar I am.

One Yellow Star

One yellow star
Part of a constellation
Trillions of miles away
A ball of hydrogen gas
Surrounded by unseen planets
It burns with immeasurable heat
Trillions of miles away
A young girl lies in a field of night flowers
Looking into a pitch black sky
She sees the one yellow star
And she wishes on the first star she sees that night
She wishes for love
She wishes for happiness and health
Trillions of miles away
That one yellow star burns
The unseen planets orbit around it
It may never hear the young girl’s wishes
The wishes that will never be granted
That one yellow star doesn’t know about the wishes
Or maybe it just doesn’t care

Star For Momma

Momma since you've been gone things just haven't been the same
I look up at the heavens and this one star shines like a candle flame.
When my heart would ache, I would look up into the dark sky.
That star would awake sweet memories of you in my minds eye!
I felt an uncontrolable urge to name that particular star.
Because when I look into my telescope , it gives me hope knowing where you are!
I found the information about purchasing stars in the "Cosmo's Magazine."
Without hesitation I purchased my star and called it "Billie Jean!"
Momma I named that star after you because of how the star made me feel.
After all I've been through, I know this star is so very real.
Not only does it exist in the sky, it exist in the heavens like a canvas of art!
So when I look up I feel you nearby, and you're forever in my heart!!!

The Angel and Fallen Star

Fallen Star searches the constellations./ So many destinations./ Rolling through time,
passing generations./ After so long something catches his fascination./ A luminous light / so
bright/ roaming a planet in the distance./ Without a second thought he ends his existence!

A Fallen Star blazes across the midnight sky./ A woman walks by./ In disguise/ as an
Angel from above./ The Fallen Star has literally found love./ He does cartwheels to impress/
this gorgeous princess./ What must he do to win the heart of this chic? The Fallen Star is
love
sick?/

He asks, "Come fly with me/ spread those wings and be spiritually free."/ She's unsure,/
and insecure/ of love that is melting into obsurity;/ ignoring it's purity,/ refusing to explore/
his hearts door,/ and it's ability/ to heal her pain,/ and give her security./ She has nothing to
lose, but the world to gain;/ He means each word sincerely!/

Time has no significance with them./ A raging passion begins between her and him./ A
desire/ so intense;/ The flames of this fire/ is evident!/ The Fallen Star is hell-bent/ to
worship this creature that is heaven-sent./ This bond is no coincident./ This angel is oh so
confident!/ Seeing is believing,/ and these two beings/ can be seen on any radar./ A radiant
light/ in the night;/ is the Angel and Fallen Star!!!

The King Of Poets

How large that realm his mind dances in must truly be,
Tripping over own thoughts while wading through others.
Waist deep in screaming laughing unkind joyful humanity,
To love drowning within that midst of it all crowning him.

Once upon a time only a pollywog serfing through kingdom,
Then his imagination hopped one day upon a water lily.
It was his launching pad to bigger and greater things,
No longer held down by memories from a distant past.

Love more

I was walking down the street one night
I see people staring out their window’s frames
Looking tired and lonely in the night
Most in every single day
We stumbled in the dark clouds of life

This universe in beautiful & large
The power can give us everything

Each star is a dream hanging in the sky
Each star is a prayer waiting to be answered
Have you ever thought of it?

The wind is not just a vacant puff of air
The power can send your prayer into the open sky
And turned your hope into a sparkling star
To brighten up the dark sky
To give you a comfort night

I don’t care how far this loneliness will take me
I don’t care how long ‘till I found what I’m looking for

‘Coz I got soul to love more
And I got life to learn more

Fallen Star 2 (Slam)

A angels rebirth/ A fallen star crashing to earth/ Just a small dent in a huge planet/ Find
the devil now! He's the baby-bandit? He snatched up the babe and ran./ He's out to train
this child to be the Iceman!/
The fallen star was released into the wild./ So much suffering for such a small child!/
The pain was digested,/ even after he was molested./ Leaving him utterly confused./ He
even swelled being physically abused!/ Whether or not it was fate,/ He's learned to hate./ It
may be too late,/ to ever find his soulmate./
We watch the fallen star arise./ He is definately streetwise./ Looking to fight and
burglarize./ Don't you dare look him in the eyes./ He'll surely hypnotize/ and leave you
paralized./ He does what he must/ to adjust/ and survive./ He's determined to stay alive!
The fallen star/ looks afar./ A crime/ is time,/ and so he buries his grief,/ but to his
relief,/ He begins to slowly heal!/ He allows God to take the wheel./ So he steals/ the
batmobile and drives away!/ Never again to go astray./
The fallen star/ uses a pen as his scimitar/ to destroy his enemies./ Each line puts a
victim on their knees,/ leaving them to be amputees!/ He sets out/ with a shout/ to bring
Audrey back from the dead./ A new life ahead,/ and so much more./ A fallen star causing a
poetic war!/

* To Audrey with so much love...I want a part 3! You and me will make a melody!

TWO STARS

A star in the sky is hard to reach,
But I have a star I can touch.
The sky star is far away,
Mine is close.
They both shine.
The sky star shines bright, but cold,
My star shines bright and warm.
They eyes of my star twinkle,
My star is alive and human.
The star in the sky sets a goal,
A goal found, but never reached.
My stars not my goal,
But a force behind me to reach it.

JAGGED EDGES

i see her face it lights up the night
she's like a star sparkling so bright
i cannot touch her i cannot reach her
i cannot save her
my chest becomes heavy
my soul now broken
i try to push it all away
in my heart she seems to stay
the heartache she has caused
pointing out all my flaws
i cannot swallow
the warm tears slide down my face
scarring it with feelings of disgrace
the drugs have finally got it all
now who will be there when she falls
i still pray each night and everyday
that this shining star will win this fight
miles apart but always holding
a smalll piece of my heart
i toss and turn when i learn
she has set me free
i guess that's the way it needs to be

BREADTH

He has gone forth

and traversed the paths of the world

and sought out those things

the desires of his soul

to see the majesty of the land

the work of those who labor

                  in their daily struggles

who walk in flame and in pain

and to preserve those things

in song and moving pictures

so that others might

                            see as he sees

who can turn his course

his feet are firm set

                                 his focus is fixed

and he has stayed true to his path

                  who can move his heart

He understands himself

can another see him

His fire smolders It is in his control

            His power is his own

a richly landscaped mind

                  the possibilities are endless

the depth and breath of him

                  is ceasless and endearing

My heart aches to explore him

and mine the vastness of his mind

its expanse is awesome a lifetime to reach into

all his nooks and crannies

                      May the sun rise

and shine upon all you do that is true

                      May you know that you

have brought beauty into my soul

and touched my heart

                       tenderness fills it

the only man who has moved me

from myself my own circumspection

         to look upon his

no scriptures for this as its simply reflections

Star

STAR

You ask if there is another,
another sadder than you,
another who's soul is like yours,
if another exists like her.

No! There is no other like her.
But there is another soul,
another soul like yours,
another sadder than you.

Another longing like you,
crying like you,
praying like you,
needing like you,
and wanting like you.

I, the Star of your sky,
the one to whom you speak,
the one for whom you seek,
the one that feels your sadness.

I, the Star, the one for you,
the one that lights your night,
the one that brings you love,
I am she, the Star of your sky.

The answer lies in you,
to find this light,
to have this love,
reach for the Star...

Diminutive

Moon cooled the breezy night,
Its golden glaze made one realize it was full,
There was one little star just beneath the moon,
Moon lorded over it majestically,
As star shone in its insignificant light,
That one could notice it,
Was good enough for the star,
As it snuggled underneath the huge moon,
All of us knew all along,
That the star was bigger than hundred thousands of moons put together,
But it maintained its distance and kept its profile low,
Probably in real life too this appears to be a desirable rule,
Significance lies in the able keeping distance and in being diminutive,
Rather than do inflated flaunt bawdily and do nothing when it comes to task.

Singing Stars

Remember when the singing stars
knew our names?
We spun at midnight on the lawn
We danced with silver feet
The grass lay down beneath
our steps
submissively complete.
Each star we saw, we touched
that night
Remember how they fell?
A spinning sight
As we, exhausted
sweet collapsed the lawn
and lay deep breathing...
and laughing...
And laughing...
Gardenias in bloom
leaving their scent on our skin.
Grass in our hair
to be earth in our sleep.
Stars in death
leaving their marks on our eyes.
and childhood running away from us
bolting, a star burning out in midnight skies,
down the summer asphalt,
to grey.

Dead Star

You're going to be a dead star
With no life to celebrate
A self-celebrated saint
A self contorted brilliant
Man, who wrote and sought,
The best he can.

You're going to be a dead star
Writing to future generation
Fair warning theme of repeated
Tragedies and reoccurring events
You're going to be a dead star
A self-distorted brilliant master
Mind, a dumbfounded, contorted
Wisdom of word for boredom

You're going to be a dead star
Speaking of parables and double standards
Life lessons and overestimation
Qualifications and parallels
They are going to marvel
At your verse of
Of fountains
For lack of better words

Nova

Inside us all is a brilliant star,
A star shining brightly,
Guiding our way,
And when we get older,
The star gets older too,
The light in it dims,
The light on our errant path fades,
And we wander in the dark,
Tripping on our own feet.
There is a spark of the star,
Deep inside,
The spark will be lit when we leave,
And our star will be added to others,
Others who have found their way,
Others with the star,
The star that is in them
Never truly burned out,
And they never truly forgot it was there,
They just pretended it wasn’t,
Put it under a blanket,
Stowed it away,
Determined to find their own way,
Through the pitch black of night,
Without the help of their star.
When they met the light at the End,
The End of all things,
The star was lit again,
To guide and guide and guide,
Never letting us off the path,
Always our light in the dark.

Red White and Blue in Every Cloud

What taste of freedom in your mouth
This flag flies free from north to south
Red, white and blue in every cloud
Flies steady, free, and makes us proud
This liberty, this freedom shall reign
We boldly wave this majesty among the stars
So, let the star spangle banner wave

What taste of freedom in your mouth
Red is the color of our brave hearts
The battles fought; the blood sacrificed on these fertile shores
White is the innocent truth that shines through light
It means purity, liberty, and justice for all men
Blue sings about the vastness of the boundless sky
It stands for the eyes of freedom, protecting this great land

What taste of freedom in your mouth
Red, white and blue in every cloud
The star spangle banner sings free and sings loud

Few words

Are you looking at the same star as I?
as I stay up late at night
I look up in the sky as I see shades of black
and yet there's one star that shines bright
Do you see it as well?
I hope you do.
It's our connection
that we both can see
Do you think of me
as I think of you?
