To Snow and Angel Dust

She bounced right off the inkling
                             . . . . . . . . . golden rings and tinker bells winking
                                                                on tiny toes zzzzzzzzinging
                through the galaxies spinning
                             . . . . . . . . . aglitter aflicker ~ her heart
                                                                atwist amidst anticipating ...
on Halley’s comet tail she flew
                             . . . . . . . . . in the genius of a snowflake parade
                                                                 in search ... in search
                                                       . . . . . of something he once said
to the atmosphere on a cloudy
                             . . . . . . . . . day
over rooftops flurried in December snow
in a glance of her cosmic smile,
                             . . . . . . . . . she ... perched on the cusp of an eighth of a moon
sang songs of fields of poppies soon
                budding beneath the snow,
                             . . . . . . . . . and she opened her tiny fists and let go her angel dust
                                                                  upon the world
and the earth shimmered in many colors
                                                                  and gave praise
                             . . . . . . . . . and the angels came and fetched her up ~
                                                                  and He smiled.

The Song of the Christmas Snow

There is nothing with so much life as a Christmas snow
The crisp air is still as little dancing stars float to the earth
Strong old trees become burdened with drifts of white upon their bows
But seem honored to be dressed in such finery and appear almost to move
In fact, everything has come to life to watch the snowfall.
Then everything is quiet
There is a whisper in the air
It ripples through the trees
See the birds, they are the first to recognize the whisper
As the Masters of Chorus, the birds know it is a song
They sit as true musicians memorizing the lyrics and rhythm
So, the snow speaks, the voice is old, like it has sung this song many times
As the squirrels could tell you this is a lullaby, and they begin to search from their
perches in the trees for the newborn
And life and love has never felt as strong as now
A horse in its pastures stomps his foot disturbed
Though he hears the song the birds do and the lullaby the squirrels hear, he,
along with all of the worlds creatures, could swear he just heard a cry
The squirrels chatter with laughter, knowing they where right and the birds take
up the snow-song to welcome the child they heard cry
And then they stop and the world is silent
The snow has stopped falling
The cry was only a memory from Christmas long past
The child, a child of time whose
Voice comes with the Christmas snows,
To give every soul the chance to hear
The song of joy and love and beginning,
So it is never forgotten;
The song of the Christmas Snow

Snowflakes

Circ’ling down in brilliant whiteness,
Sett’ling here upon the ground;
Blowing now about the bushes,
Making patterns straight and round.

Perfect beauty, perfect whiteness
Now assails my clouded sight;
Spread unbroken o’er the mountains,
Sparkling brightly in the light.

Microscopic detailed order;
No two flakes were e’re the same:
All designed in sep’rate order;
Who this wondrous tho’t can frame?

Who decreed this awesome order,
Who these details tho’t and planned?
Who made clouds to grace the heavens,
Spread the snowflakes with His hand?

Jesus Christ and God the Father,
And the Spirit, three in one,
Planned and formed, decreed and ordered,
Till this blessed deed was done.

Wildflowers

Standing out in a field alone, a little white flower named Daisy longed for someone to share her world.
One day a blue flower named Bachelor Button entered her world they became friends.
She knew by his name that he was not the propagating kind, but that didn’t stop their relationship she called him BB short for best bud.
The seasons of Spring & Summer they enjoyed the sun, laughed in the rain and held on fast in the Fall.
Winter came it was long and hard they were both covered in a blanket of snow, not knowing whether they would ever see each other again or even survive .The snow fell then came the ice, this went on for months.

The Sun shone brightly the first day of spring. A few days later warmth of the sun melted the snow, Daisy popped up .
I’ve been waiting days for you to come out, said BB, they both chanted hooray!
The snow was completely gone in a few days, the birds started building their nests , bugs were crawling around ,butterflies began to visit the two flowers. I wish there were more of us Daisy said, to BB.

They laughed as the sun and wind blew through their leaves. Then it started the sun and rain took turns until one morning the air & field was filled with the smell of flowers.

Daisy and BB looked at each other and asked what kind of flowers are these ? they’re not white like daisies they’re not blue like bachelor buttons. They did not know the birds and bugs carried the seeds from the two of them and the caterpillars buried them under the soil.
The seeds from the new flowers were then carried by the winds many miles away, they landed in fertilized gardens and flourished, although they faced danger everyday.
as they were called WEEDS ..
The Gardener pulls weeds out of the garden so they don’t choke the flowers, which cost a lot of money and require lots of maintenance.

However there was a Gardener who saw her friends spending hours weeding their garden , that they didn’t have enough time to admire and enjoy the labors of their love
So she set out to give a home to all the weeds ,she provided a place where they could fit in and multiply, they required no maintenance, rain provides their water .

The best part of all is their beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Ask my granddaughter-- What are those flowers in the garden ?
She will answer "WILDFLOWERS " their parents were Daisy and BB

A life that changed

Here ends a life that never was Lord, I thank you for your love In the morn, my soul will ascend A snow white turtle dove When you sleep, your dreams alight You’re free from guilt and fear When you awake in the dead of night My screams are all you hear Then like an angel from high above A black cloaked figure stood “He heard your words of thanks for love and has acted as he should” The angelic priest then took her hand And lifted her on high It was then she heard the heavenly band And knew her time was nigh The Lord was there to greet her “My child your faith held strong may you serve for a while longer and join the spiritual throng” He sent her back down to a part of France Where Our Lady once appeared And taking up this one last chance A blue clad person neared “Hi I’m Lucy” the person said Her voice so soft and true She turned to smile, her graceful head Noticing the crowd of blue This was where her true heart lie In the place of penance and love Where in the morn she did release Her snow white turtle dove.

Alone With God

For five long days I’ve been snowbound.
My home with blanket pulled around
Is quiet as the distant hill
That nestles in its white surround.
My world so very still.

No small birds trill to break the spell.
All vanquished with the flakes that fell.
Electric voice immobilized,
Marooned in solitary cell,
My world strangely disguised.

No noisome birdsong to intrude
On absolute of quietude.
No foot on yielding snow has trod.
Suspended in rare interlude
Alone, alone with God.

The snow remover coming through,
The telephone and power crew.
Although their efforts I applaud
I miss the peaceful time I knew
Alone, alone with God.

Fallen snow will remind of me/ it is snowing ...
Slowly as in the dream/
Boy word-beads/ with signs on his spine/
He kisses fine/
Your eyelids /

And it snows ... It snows /so slow/
It does/ and you're thinking of me/
'Coz it's warm/ it's better to stay in warmth/
Waiting for summer dim/
It is snowing/ slowly like in the dream/
Flakes/ go round/ playing the music theme/
You've been looking for rescue/
You searched in wine/
But it's in me/
all the rescues are mine/
It is snowing/ the snow is fluffy and white/
If you see darkness/ I'm deaf and blind/
there's the cast of time/ on the arm/
But I discern the light/
Dreams/ upon your eyelids tips/
Prepare you for winter drowse/
And it snows/

Fallen snow/ will remind of spring /
it will crumble and crackle in vain/
It will snow / fluffy /white/ and slow/
And you'll become whole/

NOVEMBER

New fallen snow – winter's first
Over the river and through the woods
Very soon, we'll celebrate Thanksgiving
Everyone anticipates turkey and apple pie
Mom's already baking Christmas cookies
Better make out your Christmas list
Enjoy making winters first snow village
Remember to thank God for all His Blessings

Emancipation

Emancipation
Unfettered-Set free-
My soul is longing for Home
Where the wild ducks fly to winter
Where I hear the sweet sounds of swans
Calling her chicks to her side on tranquil lakes
That reflect distant snow covered mountain peaks
And shimmering golden trees laugh as they catch autumn sun
A treasury of diamonds glint across waters stirred by the gentle breeze
From air pure as the snow covered peaks that glisten against blue velvet skies
I am free to sing, to laugh, to know, I am fearfully and wonderful made in His image
A child of the KING of KINGS, and I with Angels sing, His adoration and His Praise
