Indian Ink

“Indian Accent”

Hear the whispers inside

Chanting from long ago
Echoes come and go
Losing time in a soft eternal glow

A beautiful and delicate autumn mountain scene
Dry blue eyes enchanting melodies!
Voices falling from the sky
Rising hymns release ancient demons that cling to the soul

The darkness dwells under gentle moonlight
Ancestors of the Spirit World,
Exposing Indian hands that weave native smoke into the air
Their spirits taunting burrows from the muddy Earth
Moccasin makers rise from underneath
Guardians of dream catchers
Smooth thread from the outer edge, bowing heads.
Luminous gems of ivory,
Chasing a florid kiss.

Through the winds of enchanted drums, voices cry out for rain.
The hollow chimes mesmerize
An ancient rage begins to flare
Stale madness,
The spears of the perfumed buffalo skin pierced my senses
Removing the veils that cover my eyes
The hands that cover my ears
Washing the scalp that bleeds on my face
They collect tears from memories of the past.

KINDRED IN EVERY WAY!

Raven silk braids, feathers fall from my hair.
Dancing in a horrid hallucination of Peyote,
Waking up from the “American Dream.”
Holding out my arms, I am free, I can fly.

I AM A BIRD!

Three Hundred

Three Hundred

The wraiths were ringing dead wrought bells
while closely passed the shady shapes
of woods in dusk, where red indwells
communion made from ghostly grapes.

He ran amidst the winds and passed
across the side where grapevines grew,
it was her presence that amassed
small leaves and droplets of fog's dew.

Inside the winds' lone strings accord,
his Bell full-face, was dropped along
the streamlets and horizon's board,
untamed his scopes, they don't belong.

The Astral Chords! He knew this debt;
the skies demand and kill and draw,
the darkened paths his thought beget,
rose thorny droplets on his brow.

Persephone shall be his wed,
subsiding dew the mist regales,
the stringing roar that reaches red,
his greatest bride resigns his trails.

Shall be the threading of winds' howls,
her plea arises from the shades,
homecoming queen from astral halls,
he harks the northern swashing blades.

Ablution's her enjoining black
"Enfold me in the rising dawn
enfold your sadness in the dark
with magistral the curtains drawn".

Acute of wounds she heals and mends
the asphalt of the mists awaits
pristine her bridal thorns amends
while passing through the Hades gates.

Three hundred reasons drew the drapes,
three hundred strings of diligence;
The winds regaled the bride's agape,
his celebration to commence.

WE'RE STILL WE

Just because we're not together
Doesn't mean we're far apart
You may no longer see me
Cause I'm hidden in your heart
I am the warmth in your sunrise
The breeze dancing in your hair
Don't think for even a moment
That I'm gone, no longer there

I'm singing through that sparrow
My fragrance is in the rose
My shade is under the big oak
I'm in the poem you just composed
I still see you in the moonlight
Tell all your secrets to me
I'm closer than you can imagine
Never alone, girl we're still we

*A father on his deathbed pens this poem to his daughter to encourage her when he's gone, to remind her that he will never really leave her!

Soul mates solace

When my final shadows cling on desperately
Where I fight formidable battles
to merely hold the light
I send you loving vibrations
and soul sustenance
Deep from the cathedral
of one heart to another
where today no choirs sing
nor symphonies play
Yet it is here where we meet
in spiritual solace
here to surrender
and exchange inestimable treasures
recollecting memories
like unopened letters
Galaxies are stretched
over chronicles of shared history
Nebula birthing stars
will be exposed
in forth-coming conversations
bringing short-lived fulfillment to you
Hungry to feast
now will be the time
to approve your blood art vision
and with my own haunting surrender
as dappled shades ink stain your chest
I will reside with you and share, mesmerised
pens - by branding
as this will be your written reams to me
your artist's pallet or brushed canvas
no need for words
and yet creating
mysterious magical moments
Bitter-sweet the music
that dances taut guitar strings
but now blood approved
please go kick your heel up
return to your laughter
and ride on the breeze
for not all are lost
change not
for I am with you always
to love, listen and comfort as one
with you in me and I in you
as masterpiece

Eternal Breath

I think about you, every single day,
Since from me, you were taken away,
Your absence has left my world cold,
Now I am alone, with no hand to hold.

I wish that I could bring you home,
So that your soul, shall need not roam,
I hope that you were given white wings,
To fly amongst, where the angel sings.

Within my heart, your eternal breath,
Shall now linger on, even after death,
My love for you shall never cease,
So, may you always rest in peace.

Tribute to Susan Boulet Art

Susan Boulet was an artist 1941-1997
Her paintings are famous for their layered effects which she started later on in her artistic career. She loved fantasy which is easily seen in her paintings. This is my fantasy poem as I look at this beautiful picture painted by Susan Boulet.

The old man sits quietly on the hillside, knowing his days as one
Spirit would soon be coming to an end. He stares blankly at the heavens where the pale blue sky is the backsplash for Cumulus clouds now filling in, the horizon. He chants his prayer over and over again calling his brothers to come receive his spirit and be one with him for all eternity. Brother bear, cloak me with the warmth of your coat that we may walk through each winter and never be cold again. We will stand together as one, never again will we know fear. Brother wolf fill my heart with your loyal spirit that we may rise to heights of a love greater than any human could possibly achieve. His prayer seems to rise more intensely as he continues. Mighty cat, share with me your speed that we may be faster than the wind, jumping through the clouds as one. Wise and good owl, become one with us that we shall have wings to fly as eagles and wisdom to find eternal peace. Now the old man whispers, together we shall hold the secrets of the universe in our hands. Soon his chin drops down on his chest as a smile crosses his face, and the old frail body crumbles to the hard rocky ground. Then the cry of a wolf, the hoot of an owl and simultaneously the roars of a sabre-toothed and bear echo through the valley. As darkness fills the sky and the moon is high, the silhouette of a young warrior stands proudly on the bluff.

Her Soul, the Sea - The Ship

The Ship (Her Soul, the Sea)

Foreshadowing the dusk, appeared immense,
magnanimous the skylines sent the ship,
its blackened sight embossed the thought and sense
of sailors that imagined its long trip.

The ship's black smoke ascended to the skies
from supercilious tall funnels, smog
bestowed its sacrificial offing size
to sovereign Gods that lived inside the fog.

In front of us, the ship's displacement thrilled
approaching thus magnificent the moors;
Her Soul, the Sea, and eulogy that killed,
relentlessly enticed, through dark allures.

The night descended when the ship's steel gaze
examined curious and measured me,
proposing wedlock and a fate of blaze,
my competence, demanding, in the sea.

Across the Straits, young Lady Sadness kissed
with ripping cold my twenty years and eyes,
resembling Her Soul, the Sea, amidst
the Northern winds that howled and life's demise.

Like The Sun

Like the sun awakened, from slumber grey
Blessing every tortured fray
embraced my soul, your glorious gaze
and set my lonely heart ablaze
like the sun amass a brand new morn
upon your whispered wind was born
our love, till endless ages sworn
like sun enveloped, rainy days
you devoured all my hopeless haze…
and since dost now my heart amaze
with joy and laughter, lifes’ rephrase
but like the sun, twas time to set,
now life dost seem just wretched fret
sunless days chase moonless night
drifting along alas lonely plight
A Godly gift you were to thee
rewarding every desperate plea
now I must sail amidst raging sea
blind to hithers destiny.
But I shall rise above the moon
Amidst the troubled waters swoon
For love like ours it strengthens mast
To ride relenting waters vast
Till time dost ask for my return
To the place my tethered soul doth yearn
And all my cares shall be set free
your womb my love this soul shall flee
where thine was always meant to be
in Heavens Grace… Eternally

Across the interstate

Across the interstate

The lights of dusk his thoughts and stare confront
alone the winds, inside his soul engage
while his departure's shedding reds assuage
extending contributions to beyond.

How wrongly pride and virtues just subdue
while cymbals drum paeans on cloudy skies
the fencing emptiness his past denies
- he wished the warfare kills to be untrue.

Concealed the day, a darkened fate embeds
with his division's ranking and three stars
his shoulders' silver and tangential paths
- forever faithful slug, attacking weds.

The shot approximates and blossomed bleeds,
to love him in his chosen Astral Halls,
his homeland and the springtime blooms recalls,
that congregate to stem his manly deeds;

Among the darkened woods the spirits breathe
could be a rustle of his killed comrades,
expatriated lives, outside of Hades,
their end was meritorious, forthwith.

His soul transformed to sentry guard and link
upon the mountain, laurel to bestow,
the killed in action brave became a crow
and sunk the stars behind the shadows blink.

The message passed across the interstate,
infinity became a friend and bride,
his three reflecting silvers coincide
as dew drops drop on his interment slate.

Darkness Of Night

Darkness of night,
introduce me to what lurks
underneath your enchanting moonbeams.
I know that I should stay away,
yet, I am drawn to these silent things
that could easily end me.
I am not afraid of the supernatural.
I am spellbound, enraptured, mystified
by these psychotic creature's requiem dance,
that captures my soul
as it's own possession.

Darkness of night,
take me into your underworld,
where the arms of roaming specters
can totally envelope me,
like a densely tangled spider-web,
with no intention to ever let go.
Allow them to take me away,
to a deep place where, peacefully,
my dying soul can finally rest.

Darkness of night,
tell the devil only this....
he can have all of me,
to punish in any befitting manner.
I have already been through torture,
known pain, lived with loneliness,
and seen hell on earth.
The devil may care to try,
but he cannot hurt me any more.

Darkness of night,
say goodbye for me.
Shout high up to the heavens
and tell the sun it needs to shine
no longer on me.

Ascending Epiphany

I realize limitation
	Is an illusion.
My destiny is without
	Boundary.
		Looking,
Beyond death. Beyond the periphery
Eternal Incarceration
Cosmic chaos is cooking...
	Infinite combinations
In infinite situations
Attuned yet unaware,
A universe of oppositions
Frequency and energy
Space, matter
A spiraling dichotomy.

an ascending epiphany.

There is a place

There is a place you can go that is full of only love and Warmth .
you will be surrounded by a light that shines from the Heavens ,
Sprinkles of Silver and Gold.

This place is filled with brilliant colors of Purple , vibrant Gold, all colors.
not one Color is less significant then another ,
for every color is equal here .

This place is surrounded by the beauty of different Flowers.
All flowers have significance here . No one Flower is better then another .
All Flowers are equal here .

It is important you know , you can cry here , and should cry as often as needed .
For the tears will cleanse your Soul and give the Flowers water to grow.
No one Tear is insignificant here , every tear has value and not one is better then another .

money holds no value , Where you live , what you own, has no significance here .

You will be surrounded by a beautiful light that shines from the Heavens .
A shining warm light will encircle you and allow nothing to hurt you .
Hate will be shed at the door light a old jacket of no use.

There is a place of beauty and Worth.
This place will not be found on Earth .
It is a place where no one person is better then another .

I'm my Daddy Made Over

Dedicated to my Dad Jerry W. Niday 3/20/1952 - 6/18/2013

I am who I am because of him
He’s the reason for my son’s name
He gave me my courage & my strength
To stand tall even when standing wasn’t easy
Stand for the ones who can’t
To think and fend for myself
I’m my Daddy made over

Taught me to fight back
To never back down
How to pick myself back up
When I’ve been knocked down
Fight for what I believe
I’m my Daddy made over

He gave me my stubbornness
Gave me my pride
Gave me my temper
Taught me not to take crap
To speak my mind no matter who
Work for what I want
I’m my Daddy made over

How to keep my emotions in check
How to handle large amounts of pain
When in trouble he always had my back
He knew how my mind worked better than anyone
I got it from him
I’m my Daddy made over

Even though he’s gone
I’ll stand and continue on
I may stumble I may fall
May even get hurt along the way
But I’ll pick myself back up
I’ll dust myself off and stand tall
I’m honored and proud to say
I’m my Daddy made over

the day you flew to Heaven

We knew , it was if a moment stopped in time
hearing the news before most of the World did
He loved to fly his plane from Colorado to Monterey Bay
He was a avid golfer at Pebble Beach respected

He had loves and passions from many places
deciding to fly low through the overcast red sunset
Not only did he love music and inspire all
He loved his Plane , he will always remain a beautiful Soul

The next day it was confirmed ..all saddened
It was John Denver's plane that went down
Today in Pacific Grove stands the Memorial
So Kiss me and smile for me we will ~
              always in loving memory
OH babe , do we hate you go ~

Dying Eyes

I have lost the will to change
Taking the path that leads to nowhere
The darkness is taking over
something i cannot repair
If it is to be broken
Drowning in the sorrow
I cannot give in
Take the fall and run to the heavens
Im never going to bow
Im never going to break
I will not fall
I will not fade
I was made to take your breathe away
Whenever my hope is lost
Thats my chance to run for cover
Light the fuse and burn it up
I dont want to change the world
I just want to make it colder
Watching the end
With our dying eyes
Tell me where forever lies

Abbey

Amid the woods and snow he saw her form,
predestined oracle he sensed this was,
her recollected glance, was lone in storm,
outside the chapel she became first cause .

Lit were the chandelier's ocher chandelles,
his heartbeat thrummed an airy rhythmic spell,
the forest snowstorm reeled - shaped ghostly belles
invited him beneath the ringing knell.

Their Angel's bliss, his soul received in flames,
adept and kind the whisper of her voice,
"- Forgiveness calms those who indulge in blames;
devoutness is the prelude of free choice."

Outside he stepped beneath the Abbey's knell:
His voice dispersed above the snow and mass,
in cold embraced the iron wrought of bells,
- as waxen light passed through the chapel's glass.

His mind and woods enjoined in forceful prayer,
spells sacrosanct and numinous instilled,
in abstinence the sanctified abbe,
abandoned Convent life to years and thrills.

Escaped then he, to meet the woods in dark,
amidst their sovereign heights he was her groom,
continuum of time and space to arc,
his childhood's wraith became in mists and tomb.

Moments In Time

The sweetest sounds of burning trees
A gentle stroking in the breeze
The calm has lasted past the storm
Cloudy visions, Satan’s roar
Too many sights have passed my way
A time found only in the haze
The softest screams are running bare
My aching bones creak as I stare

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark

The battle’s started at the end
No one is coming to repent
The sinners grab their wine from prey
No judgment calling here to stay
The sport is reckless to be told
The one is laughing at his souls
It falters nowhere to be sure
The power grows forevermore
Like a spirit in the wind
I have no say in where you’ve been
But cross the line to come to me
And pay the price for ecstasy

You walk a distance towards me
The fall’s eternal, can’t you see?
I’m a memory in your heart
I whisper to you in the dark.

Archangel

Archangel

I sensed the dance of clouds and windy drawl,
fast moving marionettes of moonlight,
conceived they passed the crannies of the soul,
and intersected solitude forthright.

The dusk descended when 'Archangel' crossed
the sight of island men, remote like wraith
and huge the blackened ship's displacement bossed
the nautilus stunned stares and childhood's faith.

Monotonous the bagpipes led to trance,
- autonomous the ship's insistent horn,
invited us to some unworldly dance
the ship regaled; that stung our souls like thorn.

We danced inside the rain while ghost bag pipes
were interlaced by sea's baptismal notes,
- betrothal waved the blue and white flag stripes,
- like coffins cradled round the wooden boats.

Embarked were we, according to their song,
thence sailed infinity upon the brines,
tho' Harpies from the ghostly mists, along,
the Hades' treated us, communion wines.

REINCARNATION THINKING

REINCARNATION THINKING?

Life is like a coloring book
with few or many pages
filled with complex
outlined images.

We are given a box of crayons
and are asked to color in the
background and spaces of the images

Sub-titles are allowed.

When the coloring book is finished
we are given a new one to complete.

C.A.K. 12-6-2012

REINCARNATION THINKING 2 -SOUL SEARCHING

Was I once before or never
Don’t know how or even whether

I was a firefly, a bird of prey
a centipede, a fish fillet?

A baseball fan to keep the score
a mockingbird, a carnivore?

A blossom in the midst of spring
a sign of what the day might bring.

A germ grown in a Petri dish
a chicken bone an unmade wish

All things and species could I be,
even remnants of a tree.

Of all of these, I leave this post,
I am for now what I am most.

CAK 7-23-2012

MORE QUESTIONS ON RE-INCARNATION

As 'core' beliefs thicken so,
does it leave us room to grow?
As aging souls say we must,
complete the cycle which was thrust
upon our bucolic living place
turned upside down in whorling space
searching for a redemptive life.

But for you, dearest one, do you not remember
before you arrived, you took this bucking horse of soul,
tamed it, labeled it and proclaimed it.
To become what you needed in order
that your ride be contained and controlled.
It's name is 'balance' and it keeps you level in the saddle
so you don't fall off.

10-3-2012

REINCARNATION THINKING 3 -

If, we are on a soul journey,
then what must that soul become?

A better soul? A wiser soul?
A sad soul? A learned soul?
Until one reaches the end of time,

There are so many lives to live out
to fully experience all aspects of this world.
Animals, plants - more souls searching?

One can speculate, but from my perspective
none of it makes sense.

CAK 4-03-2012

REINCARNATION ENDING

Was the Phoenix reincarnated?
Or was its embers reignited?
Perhaps before a lowly worm or soldier bee
or brown turned leaf upon a tree?
A seahorse, a shark, which fish shall I be?
In fisherman's net to be eaten by me?
And when the cycle is complete
and x equals x on our balance sheet.
Can we then rest in a celestial lair
with memories gone and unaware
of trials by all things forgotten?
If choose I must or chosen by me,
I'll remain in the stars and just wait to see.

The Hammer

Who can hear, the mornings call?
The dead dove's body, as it des fall.
Who can see through, the dead man's eyes?
As the burning sun, falls from the skies.

What once was new, has now become old,
What once was alive, has now become cold,
What you believed, was worth a lot,
Is burnt to ashes, in the melting pot.

Let's start again, I hear them say,
Let's start again, another day,
Let's make again, what we made before,
Spill more blood, on the kitchen floor,
Lift the cross, up on the hill,
Load the guns, to fight and kill.

Fight and slaughter, till there's non one left,
Till your mind is empty, your heart is deaf,
You thought that, I was a soldier too,
You thought that I said, I love you,
But I tell you now, and I tell it true,
The angles of heaven, and the angels of hell,
Are riding now, to the ring of deaths bell.

What you thought, was silver and gold,
Are ashes and dust, on the open road,
What you knew was good, what you knew was true,
The hot sun has dried, like the morning dew,
The very memory, of hope and despair,
Is lost in the hole, of your soul laid bare.

The empty hole, behind the clouds,
The music and the laughing crowds,
Are dead and gone, have faded away,
As a new sun rises, on a bright new day,
I tell you now, and I tell you true,
As the hammer of me hits the anvil of you

Pal

Bob had been a lonely man ever since
His wife of fifty years had passed.
“Lord, let me join her.” he would pray.
“Let this day be my last.”

Each day, he went to the cemetery,
Just a short walk down the street.
After their talk, he would water her flowers
And hear passers-by whisper, “How sweet.”

One gray and misty morning,
He had hoped for sunnier skies
To plant fall bloomers at her graveside;
But, there, to his surprise…

Stood an old dog beside her stone;
Thin and dirty, but he struck a handsome pose.
He whined as Bob approached, as if to say,
“I could use a friend, you know.”

He sat calmly as Bob planted flowers,
Carefully sniffing each one Bob put in place.
Then, after the last one was planted,
He sniffed it; then turned and licked Bob’s face.

Bob smiled. “I had a dog when I was young…
Pal…he was a mighty good one too.
So, if you don’t mind old fella,
That’s what I’ll call you.”

Pal may have been an old dog,
But he was smart and handsome in his way;
So they made a deal, Bob would give him a meal
And a bath, if he decided to stay.

Pal loved his bath, then rolled in the grass.
He slept on a blanket in the den.
In the night, he dragged it next to Bob’s bed.
He intended to be Bob’s best friend.

Pal was such a good dog, housebroken too;
Never made a mess or got in trouble.
He knew about newspapers, slippers and Frisbees;
And when Bob called, he ‘d come on the double.

Yes, Pal gave Bob’s life new purpose.
A special bond of friendship was cast.
And never again did Bob pray,
“Lord, let this day be my last.”

For twelve years, the very best of friends,
Together night and day;
And so it was, until one night,
Bob quietly passed away.

The next morning, an old woman,
Tears welling in her sad and lonely eyes,
Brought flowers to her husband’s grave;
But there, to her surprise….

Stood an old dog beside the grave,
Thin an dirty, but he struck a handsome pose.
He whined as she approached, as if to say,
“I could use a friend, you know.”

He sat calmly as she took old flowers
And put fresh ones in their place.
He carefully sniffed the fresh ones,
Then turned and licked her face.

She smiled. “I had a dog when I was young….
a good one too. His name was Pal.”

After the fall

Quite frankly, I don't remember at all
You see I was quite young when I took my first fall.
Don't know which parent was there to catch me
Or how hard the decision was to stand back and let me.
Did I topple forward or backward, or who made the call.
And who scooped me up crying
After the fall.
I can't remember the joy of first letting go
And taking that step without holding on.
Groping my way forward
Leaning against the wall
I got back up
After the fall.
As the Earth spun the years flew by so fast
At 17 I finally knew everything at last!!
Unexpectedly, I fell once again,
Head over heels this time
And out on a limb.
I was so sure of that bet
I gambled it all
Heart bruised abused and then broken
After that fall.
And then I broke my own promise
To not love again.
Hungry for life
I gambled to win.
Life is a theatre of first steps first
A one act play with no time to rehearse.
Co starring in roles
Cast without planning.
"Never more" echoes
The raven still chanting.
Undaunted unwilling
To let darkness win all
Trusting Father to be there
After the fall.
Then the day came
When I had a son
To let him learn the word hot And hope he'd not run,
Would he still love me
Or trust me at all
When I pulled my hand back
And allowed him to fall?
And knowing I'd be there again
To help him to stand
And knowing he might never walk
If I didn't let go of his hand
And hoping he didn't revert back to a crawl
When I let go of his hand
And allowed him to fall.
As the earth kept on turning
My heart kept yearning
My son now a man
Living and learning.
He hasn't held my hand now in a very long time
The cats in the cradle slowly plays in the back of my mind.
I looked in the mirror today
And noticed my dad.
And remembered a talk that we'd never had.
Remembering how he seemed towering and tall
And was there every time
After each fall.
I lose my balance these days now and again
My steps aren't as sure
As they once might have been.
In the winter of life now
I feel so small
And wonder who'll catch me
If I take a fall.
I suppose I'll just have to trust Father
With both great things and small
To pick me up on the other side
When I take my last fall.

rolled Durham smoke - Ballad

It transferred like bequest's constrain;
the ghostly harbor - my sixth sense,
men's goals had died, on lives' expense,
- this notion bothered me again.

Had sent the mail - my filed advice -
the ghosts of gunmen who have died,
on moors they stood yonside old pride,
- the Rider asked his deathly price.

In air he thumped, his rhythm - gust waves;
demanding cruel new death toll;
in town each woman wore black stole,
the 'killed in duel' dwell in graves;

The Rider hummed - our vessel moored
inside this port on Nueces' edge,
much red was shed on cypress sedge
- my instincts sharpened and inured.

Tall stood he on the wharf - I knew
the wind whipped ropes upon head-mast,
- we drew the guns; he lifted fast;
my two guns bucked debt-law to ensue.

I felt the slug - he moved across,
already-a-ghost, on moors he stood;
I tasted blood - got up - I should,
with red drops staining grass and moss.

I saw her standing on the field
amid red poppies and tall trees,
her thought became my holy shield,
bestowed thenceforth, her grace in breeze.

She spread her arms and called me eft,
above the clouds to Astral Halls
athwart stood gunman - fast and deft
in Tombstone, Mobile and Sioux Falls.)

I rolled and lit a Durham smoke
with children watching me round-eyed;
that March, (I thought), a gunman died,
I heard bells' knell and two crows croak.

The Spirital Womb

The tragedy of a Miracle started today
Our Lord’s brutalized body passed away

Of all the tragedies in the history of man
This is one I try to grasp, but never can

For some reason I find it impossible to see
We crucified the greatest man in our history

Through all of the gain and all of the loss
It was a predestined coin man had to toss

I wonder how Pilot must have felt that day
He washed cowards hands in a cowardly way

Beaten and tortured, his skin ripped to shreds
As a thorny crown dug holes into Jesus’ head

While nailed to the cross he had one final goal
Through the mercy of love he saved another soul

He saved that soul and then our Lord Jesus died
Can you imagine the countless tears that were cried?

As we all know Jesus' body was placed into a tomb
To my minds eye it was no less than a spiritual womb

And from inside that womb salvation was born
For the tomb was found empty come Sunday morn

This is not how the story ends it is only how it starts
The Lord now lives up inside each one of our hearts

Even those lost in Prison, the ones like I used to be
Can turn to the Lord and then they will be set free

Freedom is a thing that I think we all strive to find
It is etched in our heart and engraved in our mind

I was locked up in a cell nestled tightly away
Facing several years that I would have to pay

Up inside of that cell I made my own decree
A true miracle was taking place inside of me

I was a very evil man and I was so proud to show it
In the wink of an eye I was transformed into a Poet

I learned there is only one way to truly be free
Ask of the Lord, “ Jesus please come unto me”

And just as the Lord Jesus Christ rose up out of his tomb
We can all live with-in the comfort of his spiritual womb

Ding Dong The Wicked Witch is Dead

Globally, miners jubilantly jump for joy
Smiles on the faces of every girl and boy
The grins of a newly opened Xmas toy
Thatcher’s dead.

Trade unionists bounce along the street
Music blaring and the tapping of feet
From nurses to Bobbies still on the beat
Thatcher’s dead.

Street parties announced in the nation
Satan who brought economic inflation
Is deceased, now’s the time for elation
Thatcher’s dead.

Its times like this I’m sad I’m an atheist
And can only shout and wave my fist
And then go to the pub and get pissed
Thatcher’s dead.

The Color Missing

The Color Missing
Red, black, and blue are the colors of our work pens. Red is the color of the blood we spill on other people’s mistakes. Blue is the color of the songs we sing on tax forms or pay stubs- every page has a secret melody. Black is the color of the streets we fear most. Black is the color of our signature of approval. Black is the color of our death.

‘But what about the Green pens?’ I ask. They say ‘the ink is too hard to see.’

Tell Me

I'm lost hurt and angry
Why did you take his life
I want, No I need to know
Tell me, Tell me why
I deserve to know

Haven't you done enough to him
What'd he ever do to you
He suffered his whole life
Suffered more than anyone deserved
Tell me, Tell me why you did it
I have a right to know

Why'd you let him born to them
Born to worthless parents
Parents who didn't care
They threw him away like garbage
Pawned him off on someone else
Tell me, Tell me why
Explain how you could do that

You gave him Polio
You let others treat him like disease
You took away the full use of his legs
You warped his hand and foot
Tell me, Explain to me why
I deserve to know

You let others think he was crazy
You let it go on for over year
You didn't stop it, Why
Tell me, Give me your reason
Answer me, Help me to understand

You go and make matters worse
You gave him Cancer
You didn't give him a chance to fight back
You just jerked him away from us
Tell me, Tell me how
How you could be so cruel

How can others not question you
When others do it, It's murder
But when it's by your hand
It's your will, Their fate
Tell me, What makes you so different
Your no better than the demons knocking at the door

You heard me beg and plead
You know I'm not afraid to die
I was willing to carry it all for him
I was willing to take my Daddy's place
You didn't even let me say Goodbye
Tell me, Tell me why I couldn't take his place
Answer me, you owe me that much

Happy

John was as a free bird, happy,
Living his life, happy.
When others were sad John, happy,
When John did go no one, happy.
For life is not long at all,
And man is a shadow on a wall,
A wall of time.

John our dearly departing
Death will end his suffering.
Cruel death will do him a favor,
As he will carry him to his Savior.
Writing his will he creates the kiss of death;
This kiss marks him till his final breath.

Here comes a pale horse click, clack, click, clack
Upon it sits Death click, clack, click, clack.
Death rides down the street,
He stops, he looks
For the man with no heart beat,
He enters more silently than the best of crooks.

Death left while carrying John,
Got on his horse and carried on.
John is now in Heaven;
Where no heathen
Nor sickness roam,
Sitting by the white throne;
Walking on the streets of gold;
Never to become old.
Happy... Happy...
Eternally... Happy...

Tug

The fog reminded him the winter's edge
how faster can the nightly riding be?
he felt the overthrow and painful sledge,
- the asphalt hit the rider departee.

The roar was heard amid the falling snow
the bike capsized - and hard he fell to slug,
across the never reached horizons' glow,
received her bridal kiss and asphalt's tug.

He danced with her beneath the nimbus cloud
- enjoining the magnificence of waltz;
bestowed, denoted valor, fore avowed,
ambrosial her remembrance was, and false.

Beforetime she became his fate in mists,
perceived their airy dance, surpassed treetops
lithe daughter of woods' emptiness, not kissed
on fares unvisited, where searching stops.

Inside the nimbus celebrating Halls
Collegiate was the feast's inviting dance,
trajectory redemptive, death-ride tolls,
- was thoughtful and cognizable her glance.

So standing tall 'mid honors and dusk shades,
recalled the margins that he raced upon,
three hundred for Persephone of Hades
to be his wed on skyline's denouement.

The bullocky V-engine echoes thence
and crowns the basalt rocks atop the brae
when riders pass and fog is hazy-dense
upon his street-bike-fighter see him sway.

Grandfather

Here lies the best Grandfather,
One who was very considerate.
Remembering him as a child,
I would sit on his lap.
He was a rare person indeed.
He was a colonel in the Army.
Also superlative of a gentelman.
Here lies the best grandfather,
May he rest in peace.

Walk Softly

Walk softly across this eternal bed
Where we plant seeds of grief in the ground.
Like roots, let tangled memories spread.

Bring bundles of rosebuds, white and red
To bloom brightly like flowering crowns.
Walk softly across this eternal bed.

This is where heaven and earth are unwed,
Souls released while bodies are bound.
Like roots, let tangled memories spread.

Silence weaves sadness with fragile thread;
Unspoken words haunt without sound.
Walk softly across this eternal bed.

The cold ground is lush where tears are shed,
Falling freely to water or drown.
Like roots, let tangled memories spread.

Lacking direction, lost spirits tread
Where echoes of feelings resound.
Walk softly across this eternal bed.
Like roots, let tangled memories spread.

Autumn Leaves

I first met Autumn when I was very, very young,
she was just a shy, quiet girl, but so very bright.
These maple trees were our favorite to play among,
as our laughter faded away with the falling sunlight.

I can still see her brown sweater, and reddish-orange hair,
blowing around her smiling face, like a flickering flame.
Her innocent voice still whispers on October's cool air,
near the place, where our lonely swing remains the same.

As the summer days said goodbye, and welcomed September,
the death of my dear, young friend came all too soon.
Autumn was one of those whom you'd always remember,
her soul was as beautiful as the shining, harvest moon.

She was here, then gone, leaving words that were never spoke,
to this day, I have never understood why Autumn had to leave.
Her presence lingers on the wind, like drifting wood-smoke,
as once a year, her playful spirit arises on All Hallow's Eve.

NOW I LAY ME

Now I lay me down to sleep
In my home that's really sweet
Had three large meals and a snack
There wasn't a hint of any lack
Comfortable shoes and clothes that fit
My heart's desires my money can get
Friends and family know my name
So many opportunities it's just insane
Doctors and dentists, heat and air
A hope and a future.. No despair
Little chance I'll die before I wake
But if I do, my soul God will take.

But the homeless orphan goes to sleep
His unbathed body on a filthy street
Sold himself today to get a meal
From a slimy stranger with a dollar bill
No life, no skills, no future, no hope
No family, no friends, no heat, no coat
No shelter, no job, no doctor, no care
No money, no support, no help anywhere
Despair and neglect, a fight to survive
A shell of a child more dead than alive
And if this orphan dies before he wakes
Will he know God his soul to take?

Tender of Roses

Beloved, lovely roses: gift of God and lover’s flower,
Spread your colored petals and cradle tender showers.
While admiring the blossoms with their beauty to behold,
Ought we not to know the Tender of such lovely garden groves?

For He lovingly and thoughtfully wields His pruning shears
To cut away the stems of old for fuller future years.
He cultivates and feeds them. He attends them as a Father
Looking daily to their needs; so faithfully He waters.

From the dawn of morning dew until the setting sun arrays
Caring always for His own until that great appointed day…
When the Gardener comes to claim each one the earth held as its own.
He gently picks it at its peak and for His pleasure takes it home.

As God did one glorious morning, when the Perfect Rose had bloomed.
He rolled away the stone and met with Mary at the tomb.
There the sweetest Rose of Sharon rose that we die not alone.
But be gathered for a garden grove, surrounding heavens throne.

Besought of honors durst

Besought of honors durst on edge to live
what cometh through insights and traction's hold
the wrought not to deny or to misgive
hence thither's naught to doubt in mountain's cold.

Above the limits race where speed defines
what pre-existed on the drives and pikes
betrothal wraith among all deaths consigns
and sacrificial power chords she strikes.

Therefore the strenuous of engine's wrath
unfolds trajectories of epic drive
tangential dance upon demanding path
his hands on peau volant, race-concert thrive.

How tall a man should be on sovereign roads
that challenge souls impertinent to rave
on sacrificial offering that goads
third fate's lithe dancing steps atop his grave?

Untamed the turbocharged propulsion roars,
the engine hollers its titanic torque,
celestial ticket bought in skies to soar
Dom Pérignon is his champagne's last cork.

Intruder of the mountain's nightly gale
the peak performing turbocharger breathes
combustion thrusts the engine to travail
how glory turns mechanical and wreathes!

It's after midnight and the slope's romance
redeems red droplets on his uniforme
his slight of smile exceeds the ambulance
since ten to one besought, killed in the storm.

Smoke - Charades

Smoke (Charades)

Abaft the weather bent the time
outside the ship, around the shore
we saw its smoke, in airy climb,
to fumigate from now to yore.

The fume was rising from the two
tall funnels covering its shape
with darkened soot, while dead its crew
was calling us behind its drapes.

The smoke was dancing back and forth
persuading us to move and sway;
Ironic shined the star of North
reluctant breeze slid down the brae.

We thought it was the ship's horn or
three sailor ghosts that danced charades,
behind the smoke, our nightly chore
had mimicked them outside of Hades.

The soot was covering the land,
some scattered lights that blinked and cried,
diffused away at its demand
until forgotten, sank and died.

We followed thence, the engines' chug
to dance around two skyward lines
where hung the ship's torn island flag
and our charades that drowned in brines.

Trilogy

She splendid came before the light of dawn,
Emerged from Halls of deep memoir's efface;
'Let me express my love in eyes and ways,
before death turns me back to granite stone.'

Embraced were we while the winds raced moaning,
our strings of lives joined outside of mute grief;
there was a hope left when the arcane Nymph
fled East, towards the first light of morning.
..............

Unvirtuous sons of metamorphosis,
vociferous assault - lives to degrade,
with cymbals' wrothly thump, my land invade,
drums' beat enacts my apotheosis.

They cut me thrice and once as I slaughter,
grotesque barbarians, that fight entranced;
I prayed to dawns' refulgent light; enhanced
their monstrous growls fly with a twilit bird.

Accented their trilogy - immoral,
from deep wounds - inferior weep their cries,
euphoric Spring forces them to baptize
in anaphoric flowing red to flora.
..............

She splendid came before the light of dawn,
Emerged from Halls of deep memoir's efface;
'Let me express my love in eyes and ways,
before death turns me back to granite stone.'

Last Breath

You were a shining Star.
Few of many in the sky.
Looking up so very high,
Not knowing why you are.

Close and set you are far.
Spinning flames knot a tie,
I note a pattern just like pi.
Colliding with me you spar.

So burn it up and burn away,
Sow your heart upon a plane.
Chart your distance in the clay.
Burn it all up then call it sane.

The explosion in the sky is His death.
All burned up He has no last breath.

The Old Salt

The Old Salt was a special man who came along in a time
when he was needed most.

A time that is now gone forever.
When men believed and sacrificed, when hero’s walked the earth in mass.

When patriotism was not just a word
but,
by what men lived and judged the worth of each,
a man who lived a life most of us cannot comprehend.

An era now gone as this warriors tour of duty ends at this station,
and begins anew in the heavenly fleet.

Sail on Sailor into your unaccompanied tour,
we salute you.

What greater honor, that when a man moves forward,
he leaves behind in each of us the best of what he was.

A defender, protector, supporter, victor, a warrior,
the last of the breed from an era when ships were made of wood
and men were made of steel.

The Old Salt has reported for duty that takes him away from us for now.

Those of us who remain behind,
remember, and will continue to remember,
because he now resides forever in our hearts.

As I look up at night, I envision The Old Salt,
a beret draped just above the eye,
as he draws upon his pipe,
quietly he waits.
The guardian of heaven’s gate.

MY UNIQUE LINE : JSL -------A Day Of Ones In The Sun---

Inundating radiant sunshine beams down on my face fervently tracing crows feet nearing the frown I can taste obliterating tear streaks transmitting them into the depths of outer space introducing an iridescent spectrum of piercing waves golden ears fear in the race Electromagnetic oscillation inspiring me to rely religiously upon solar energy photosynthesis eradicating unwanted toxins by chasing them vehemently So on this sacred date of "ONE"… negative energy is trumped by the positive tsunami of the sun and as she dares me to stare into her face of grace ninety three million miles away… I sigh as her radiance blasts my face in such a merciful way suddenly my shaking knees give way to an epiphany that this day is laced with sanctity Finally the world's eyes feast upon an auspicious uniformed alignment five ones standing side by side gold adorned a spiritual aspirant making change the world will see... "The Sun's Seven" pronouncing a unified spirituality

When I Die

When my life has finally left me and my last breath has been shed
And the silver cord is broken and my bodies firmly dead
I shall hover near the body, download the scenes of this past life
Noting all minutest details rolling backwards past my eyes

I’ll store these scenes ‘til later when I can take the time to learn
What the lessons have to teach me and help me to discern
How I treated other people, made them happy, made them sad
Examine all my actions, both the good and the bad

Three days later I’ll lose interest as my focus moves away
From the world that I just left behind, there is no need to stay
For a lifetime in the life of man to God is just a day
And my soul as God on the wheel of life must move along its way

I’ll take the download with me as I move into first heaven
It’s the first stage in the afterlife, in number there are seven
Here I’ll see and feel the good things that to others I have brought
And revel in the feelings of the kindness that I wrought

I will store these in my seed atom so in future lives I’ll know
They’re the things that I must multiply for my souls’ conscience to grow
For the conscience is the souls’ voice that guides you day by day
That still small voice that warns you in what you do and say

When that’s done my view will shift then to the things that I did bad
To the hurt I did to people that left them feeling sad
I will feel their pain intensely, ten times worse when in this field
For I’ll be purely spirit now with no flesh for a shield

These painful lessons will imprint upon my seed atom as well
In some religions we are told our soul’s in everlasting hell
In the stages of the afterlife, this is your punishment in heaven
This is the third and the most painful of the total seven

The Grim Reaper now has visited with his scythe so I will know
Through natures Law of Consequence I will reap what I did sow
He has shown me all my misdeeds and caused me many tears
And this purgatorial experience may last for twenty years

When my suffering soul recovers and the pain has died away
And I’ve incorporated the lessons to never act this way
In future lives I’ll be a better man from these lessons I have learned
One step closer to perfection that my growing soul has earned

Now I can sleep, Oh peaceful sleep, a state of heavenly rest
I’ll dream the dreams I love in life, of things I love the best
All desires that my soul has yearned, not a thing I can’t create
In the Great Silence of the spirit world to help me concentrate

The colors are much brighter, the scent of flowers more sublime
The senses are much sharper, there is no sense of time
I will see all other people as pure souls just like me
And I’ll know we’re all evolving to the bliss of eternity

I will hear the mystic music of the planets as they pass
Like a thousand singing angels, heavenly peace has come at last
Every planet sings its own song, we’ve grown deaf to this below
But in this super consciousness we’re in the eternal flow

I’ll be with my friends and family and others whom I love
The ones who left before me and currently live above
There they wait with arms wide open and rejoice when I arrive
In the fourth stage where I now live, it’s utter joy to be alive

I’ve incorporated my lessons, I now recall my goal
And my mind begins to focus on further growth of my soul
I must make further preparations and my vision starts to clear
I feel I must keep moving forward for all my works done here

I now have gone through five and six, there is just one more
In years it’s been from birth to birth one hundred forty four
The time has come to move along and leave this place called heaven
Prepare for life in the physical world, I move to number seven

My soul has gathered the material, I now know what I must do
To make some more improvements in the places I need to
I must take another body, I must live another life
To grow and liquidate more karma though it means more pain and strife

I build an archetype of the body that in future I will form
When embodiment is offered, and I can be reborn
I will see the opportunities and be able to discern
The ideal embodiment for me when the right egg meets the sperm

I will hover near the fetus, influencing where I can
And I’ll have the power to make it be a woman or a man
I will help to build the body to suit the lessons I must learn
To overcome more issues so more advancement I can earn

When baby takes its first breath and my soul is taken in
With the imprint of my seed atoms that it has brought within
Now the babys’ atoms resonate to my seeds vibration rate
Making it the perfect body for my soul to habituate

The new body will be my new home, I will live a life anew
Gain experience, learn more lessons, through the things that I will do
I’ll apply the added knowledge that I learned in this past life
More evolved than in the last one, and cause me less pain and strife

This will happen just as often as required by the soul
As it pushes ever onward, pushing ever t’ward its goal
Of complete re-integration back from whence it came
To the universal soul of life no matter what its name

Nature is not personal, it does not seek revenge
If we mess it up we have the chance to do it all again
We arrived here by this process, nothing’s changed it’s still the same
But our souls have evolved immensely since we stepped into the game

We started out as fallen angels with no experience on this plane
We’ve grown to this by coming back again and again
Though we cannot remember for each conscious mind has died
The feelings in the soul remained in our subconscious mind

And so this is the story of the cycle of the soul
As it struggles through evolution on its way toward the goal
It’s this way for all unfailing, from natures law there’s no relief
All living things go through it, no matter their belief

Swan song

The passionate young man on his way to his love
Walked by a lake carrying a snow-white dove
Inside his shirt he held it close to his heart
When he heard a song - an enchanting work of art

The melody was captivating, full of sorrow -
The cries of a soul for whom there’s no tomorrow
An unknown fear gripped the young man’s heart
Dark crevasses of life to him were an unknown part

So full of life and hope, inevitability he never had to face
The source of the irresistible sound he wished to trace
He looked behind the dense brushes hiding the water
On seeing a wondrous swan his agitated mind grew calmer

He stood there mesmerized, the scene not comprehending
And a chill he felt from the bottom of his spine ascending
Why does something as beautiful as this must end?
Against a dark premonition himself he could not defend

The song told him everything that was, and ever will be
As he stood there listening, in his mind’s eye he could see
The birth of dreams and hopes, the path and the finish,
The igniting spark, the flame and the death of every wish

The swan sang his last and was swallowed by the lake
Slowly the young man from his vision did wake
He felt the dove in his shirt frantically flutter
He gently held it high and let it go, not a word did he utter

Innocence cannot build his nest in a bosom laden
And burdened with knowledge so dark and craven
The young man continued his journey to meet his darling
A long shadow followed him in his footsteps crawling

Across the lake on yonder side, hidden by the morning fog
An old man, frail and haggard, sat quietly on a bone-white log
He heard the swan too, and watched it get swallowed by the deep
But at this lonely funeral his half closed eyes did not weep

He felt it in his bones, and knew the end was near
So the swan song filled his feeble mind with fear
Since he was a young man he searched for the answer
The question being: What comes when to death we do surrender?

He looked to the sky but in vain, he begged but to no avail
The heavens did not open; his body and spirit were broken
When with the last notes of the swan song resounding
Asking for a sign, he saw a dove above the clouds climbing

On his crooked legs he stood as straight as he could
Raising his hands he pleaded, “Take me, if you would”
The solemn swan song became a victorious celebration,
A joyous symphony of the never ending glory of creation

The frail old body fell back onto the bone-white log
Never again to emerge from that otherworldly fog
But a peaceful smile on the old man’s face remained
Having his long-lost innocence of youth finally regained

Everything is you

Everything is you

There’s something I must tell you
Though you won’t like it much
Cause no one wants to hear the truth
It worries them a touch
Yet truth, it must be spoken
This be the only way
To live your life in harmony
And be here now, today

Each child will have a Teddy bear
To keep him company
Because he knows no better
His fears cause misery
When we grow up, it’s still the same
We have our Teddy bears
In beliefs, loves, and possessions
Our teddy bears are there.

But this is not the answer
It does no good at all
We all must learn to stand alone
It might seem kind of cruel
But we did enter world alone
And when we leave again
We also go all by ourselves
Nothing with us remains.

There’s only one real certainty
And that’s the fact of you
Just look within and you will see
That this, it be so true
For in the end you’ll find this out
That you are everything
And oh such peace, and harmony
This truth to you will bring

Upon Sky Drive

For seven days he wandered as a ghost,
where his own forms of old dimensions lived;
the times forgot his falsities that heaved,
'mid grayish nimbus and a misty coast.

He walked on sand for lifelong miles and then
the stronghold heights outlined inside the fog
he heard the howl of wolf beyond the bog,
and two pelagic birds that croaked in rain.

The roses dyed. The soldiers died in vain;
uninterrupted was the silent gray,
thus strong the dusk stooped in this mournful day,
- begotten wrong and seeds of malign grain.

Calm, master Death came to enfold him thrice,
forsooth freed cold as for the twenty five
next days the brave has slept upon sky drive,
lost spirit left his winter prayer on ice.

The wounded chords of winds in union harped
the stalwart's solitude resides on graves;
he visioned pastures in his mind's dark caves,
communion in his narrow cell he drank.

Trip Twist

In the void, sipping the zoid,
with mental properties of tripping on the spiral.
Falling down the tail of lions, awkwardly spinning.
With upside down tunnel vision leaking through.

Solidifying all matter that matters,
melting into the walls of your brain.
It tickles all the raindrops dripping in your eyes,
satisfying your desire of a synchronized pattern.

Bleeding purple from the rainbow,
and turning into swirls of diamonds.
Slipping exuberantly beside you; driving you wild.
Where the shadows stop the spirited scream.

Devour yourself into the omniscient grip.
Icy cold finger tips scratch the surface of your divinity,
bringing you closer to the God who whispered in your unborn ear,
situated in your flesh from birth to death.

It embeds itself in the pupil of your eye,
dancing with your spirit and licking your soul.
Black shapes of madness wrapped in chaos and euphoria.
Twinkling and blinking dust of a cloud.

Haze filled skies and blood filled smoke raining from the clouds.
Envisions of clowns and demons laughing at our demise.
Chilling sensations of sickening mannerisms,
mechanisms and mechanics sought out to destroy the tiny creatures.

These creatures running crazy into acceptance of demise.
Deprived of life, scared of death but giving into it's taste.
Taste buds quiver as the taste grows sweeter.
Death, oh death, tell everyone who you really are...

Too long have you been hidden in the shadows you cast,
too long have we rendered your pain.
The world grows sicker as the hairs in my head grey.
I'll never surrender as demons always circle.

Today, begins a new day of our fight.
And I have a good feeling about this day.
Onward, we have united our minds and gathered ourselves within.
Always ready for we accept our fear.

We accept our hate and everything in between.
Accept it all for what it really is.
No amount of doubts will over throw us.
Onward, to peace.

Judas

Why should contritions in the soul abide,
invoking alterations that times slayed,
and one dissolved, never existent blade,
why sharply cuts the mind and bleeds its stride?

Why the damnation of the man should bring
to heavens where my dark betrayal was
a solemn reason to destroy the cause,
so that the Overman be crowned as King?

Now the brigades of fallen angels cry,
inhuman was the prophecy beheld,
because my tears shall not reverse the quelled,
and innocents, in doom shall be awry!

I followed what the apostles refused,
the darkest 'mid the actions of a man,
my children will be cursed but won't disband,
what sacred ideologies perused.

The Judas' tears will flow along the slopes,
forsooth becharmed are the females' night dreams,
my blood and eyes in their dimensions beam,
Lit embers' chosen man in Cosmos' scopes.

And how traumatic eyes of austere norms,
in their aporia will avoid me for
as chosen man, I just obeyed to Lord,
amid the thunder's wrath my guilt reforms!

The solitude where I condemned my fate,
awaits in astral Halls where darkness fades,
cause nothingness will crown the lightless shades,
hung oscillates a marionette's oblate.

THE VERDICT

Skittles and a soda
against a gun in its holster?

One day that scream
will be known as a teen
not a heinous lying Fein

What a sinister ploy and twist
with a loaded gun and no fist?

Had everyone sitting and waiting
doomed by a verdict just delaying

Was this just an optical illusion
or, a devious planned conclusion?

Now, this generation too afraid
wearing hoodies will get you dead

But, the Klan was still glad
hoodies they've always had

A verdict they too saw,
ushering in martial law

4 - Messenger from the Dead

Alas there is no more confusion,
finally found my last conclusion.
Expect me as if Jesus will return,
from a ghost to a realm of concern.

Your dreams are portals like doors,
welcoming spirits into hasten wars.
Leaving the thoughts without trust,
keeping your fears in much disgust.

And though you sought no consequence,
deeds that confirm a wicked malevolence.
Awaiting in your nightmare of screams,
enjoy what is left amongst your dreams.

Questioning Life

Forget! Regret not, for it all has intention...
To attempt comprehension leads to double block wall.
In searching your question, much more loss is gotten,
Confusion, dismay a deeper dug hole.
Infinitely seeking you strive for some meaning,
the truth is quite simple you are not sole at all!
Infusion connection the union eternal,
Is easy to grasp when knowledge of whole,
is truly encountered from deep within query
The meaning the truth the love of it all...
Once trouble & strife and struggle are missing,
The clear light of being shows beauty once more.
Accept what is given agree to the treaty.
Fight not with your fears, and answer your call.
Find substance in living, step over delusions.
Regardless of meaning, life’s radiance will soar.
So use this awareness these words and this practice,
Come forth tall and sturdy, head high and recall..
When sad and when empty in need of intention,
No doubts I plead! No need to explore!
Emotions you hold are sensed by your siblings,
Your waves of sensation your truth and your soul...
Are parts of us all, we are all together we are all but one!
In oneness we’re whole!

The Things You Wish You Could Erase

Sitting on the edge of the bridge
Holding unto that bottle of beer
The same beer that he drank
The night he killed those people
Flashback in his brain
Gripping unto the bottle
nearly breaking it
hes sitting behind the wheel
Picks up the beer bottle
Takes another sip
He sees the car
But gently closes his eyes
The women slams on her breaks
Her son in the back seat
The cars crash
Her car rolls down the hill
His car slamming into
The side of bridge gates
The gates holding him steady
He gently steps out of his car
Seeing the smoke
A gray car laying in the river
Below the bridge hes standing on
He runs down there
Running through the water
the top of the car barely noticable
He helps the young women out
Not knowing about the little boy
In the back seat
She yells
"my son... my son"
She points to the vehicle
She takes her last breathe
Lays there helplessly
The man drags the little boy out of the car
A scratch on his forhead
Not breathing at all
The man cries
Trying to wake the kid up
Knowing they are both up in heaven
He vanishes
Several years later
He sits on the bridge
Holding the bottle
Has a child of his own
A wife of his own
Waiting at home for him
His son an hour before
Wanted to walk to the bridge
With him
But the man just said no
The young boy just stayed home
His father never came back
They found him
Floating in the same river
The women and her son were in

Changed

If i were to tell you that my heart is gray
What would you do to make it red again?
If i were to say that i dont miss you
Would you understand my pain?
If i were to show you how much you mean
Would you notice that my heart stopped beating?
If i were to picture things in my mind to be perfect
What would you do to tell me things wont ever be the same?
If you were to tell me your heart was gray
I would give you mine in place of yours
If you were to say that you dont miss me
I would understand your pain
If you were to show me how much i mean
I would notice that your heart stopped beating
If you were to picture things in your mind to be perfect
I Would tell you that they are, your just ignoring it
I would tell you how big of a part you are in my life
I would say to you that you are my hero
I would show you my scars and heal your wounds
I would picture us in a place that does not harm love
If you could see the hole in my heart
Would you bother to fix it
Or would you let it fall apart?

JESUS WITH MY FAITH I SEND THIS PLEA

written 14th July 2013

My sorrow, is overwhelming my 'entire' soul
for in my jaded life, my dear "Nath" would be the last breath taken away
Why does God, continue taking those that play the most 'critical' roll
my life is 'never' going to endure, any hint of ease.. no way

Heart heavy, loss and pain all consuming me 'again'
God, I plea with you leave me those that I 'love' these day's
It's become 'that' part of the year, my Nathan was taken due to 'my' curse
tears flood my entire being, why do you always insist I live entirely 'alone'

Sorrow just in this year now at 'half point' has finally taken the 'full' toll
I no longer see, any thing as my destiny that I shall 'exude'
When, will it 'ever' be my turn, I wait..to become the next called to heaven
"am" I not worthy, of your abundant grace?

You, seem to take 'everyone' I 'entrust' to a faraway land
Nathan Reide' these are my tears containing, the 'most sorrow' I've ever let fall
But, every memory of you and me, stop all of the pain
just, another pain and despair to add to my life's endurance 'till'

I long, for peace, joy and 'any' kind of life would do me,
at this point of my life, I can not take anymore, seriously, lighten up on me!
I fear in new friends, how long..before you conclude they too will end
You bless me with a loving husband, mother, father, niece

When.. do you think you might, 'let' me see them... this is my plea
returning me back into church, I am in need off being blessed
How 'come' you did take that away from me?
faith, in me stayed 'strong' you alone know the extent

I need to move 'now' I have stayed still, and achieved what I think I was to
poet, I assume that was 'my reason' why you kept here
With that now in full swing
can you now spread my wings

You are 'overpowering' my soul, and I now do as I am told
patience, never was my best strength, have I 'not' proved to you
I'm completely at your mercy, you are the entity that drives the heart of me
with all that, I need a break between all these sorrowful times, 'may I now move'

This is the deepest of despair, I have ever endured, please see me through
I am more than 'positive' I WILL NOT make it through, another emotional trial
Not to be left here, still bleeding the way I still am...
darkness has taking more of my light I'm loosing all sight, of who is me...

My heart full of anguish and grief, depression takes her advantage, of the ease
I have nothing worth finding joy or enlightenment anyway, she will have me...
I don't have any strength to even consider the thought of even trying this time
in defending myself against her this time
She only win's by default...

The River home

It was a home on the river we lived .
It was the ghost of a young man whom had taken his own life.

I still remember the vision of him walking by me with a blank stare
We, as a Family of seven , moved into this river house
Panoramic views right out to the river , I should mention

I was home alone as a child , looking out at "The Julia Belle Swan " as she went by .
Upstairs in that room as I saw a figure walking by , with very nice features , auburn hair
I thought he was my older brother , a handsome young guy

Then I realized the young man was not my brother , a apparition he appeared .
He was not there to scare or frighten ,
the message I believe he wanted to shed light on, so clear.

He walked right by ,then disappeared through the window, out to the River .

The Ghost knew I could see him , a gift I have been given
when I was a younger child of five , I had once died for a short time. I was lifted by Jesus in Heaven . Death is not for us to decide .

Later in the years we moved from that home , every home we lived in had a story
or a presence of its own . My Mother had told me later , a young man took his life there .

Keep fighting your way through life and its despair ,
you are important to someone whom cares . If you feel alone and want life to end , Please pick up the phone , call anyone , call for help , call a Friend .

"This is not fiction , it truly is a gift I have been given "

Bull Horn Grip

The brave like Hawk descends the road,
deep red his blood, wine potion brusque,
while hidden eyes observe in dusk
the rugged man measure and bode.

The hours pass, consent to darkness;
while stardom glows above his walk,
unmarried maids of long mane talk,
about his raw strength to egress.

The tavern's close at the dockside,
where pipers play a steady mode,
the fates weave his deathly abode,
in starry Halls the stalwart guide.

A drink is life, full glass of grog,
musicians render the pipes loud,
the dim stars blink and a low cloud,
covers the shore with shrouds of fog.

Monotonous the notes of pipers wield,
the sweat drops drop from their foreheads,
while Charon waits to spill the red,
- steel bull horn blade of fine Sheffield.

Outside he steps, inside the mist,
the maids weave, his life's spend thread,
Persephone will be his wed,
his bull horn Sheffield holds in fist.

Her Heart Is The Sea

Her eyes never leave
the moonlit horizon.
She will wait
an eternity, if she must.
She paces
as the tides
crash forth, then recede
back to the ocean.

Only memories
return here.
The ship departing
from the docks,
the sun sparkling
on the water,
a pair of dolphins
jumping
through the surface.
They had seen it
while in each other's arms.
Yet, now they
are distant
memories.

The sky turned ominous,
dark waters
engulfed the ship.
Everything went dark,
they lost sight
of each other
beneath the churning waves.
Her lungs
filled with salt water
as she desperately
gasped for air,
for life.

She drowned
the same day he did.
Her soul
washed ashore
along with her
cold, lifeless body.

She remains
here,
haunting the coast.
Her feet leave
no imprints
in the sand.
She moves
with the wind,
drifts upon it,
like sea-foam
atop the waves.
The dark water
flows
through her
transparent form.

Her spirit's heart glows,
shining outward
like a lighthouse beacon
showing him the way
back
to her arms.
She is waiting
for him
to rejoin her.
He will return
just as she has.

Lucid Dream

Look upon city once known by name,
ruins that I called home, streets swallowed by flame,
in time alive shell not witness less of what should you understand,
reach on to hand of a stranger, scroll remain;
in signs that might be changing welcome,
different of a man.

When dawn awakes and there is no light,
upon dusk of man darkness will be spread by sight,
in time not different change will arise, life we thought you knew,
death would recognize.

Hearts will bound to King without a Crown,
why do mothers shed tears, echo rooted in the ground,
is there reason of a foolish wars, contracts written in blood,
new born babies died breathless, can't even appreciate the Sun,
don't deserve to live, not worth of the land,
existence will be scattered in ashes,
you will be remembered
by name.

Sheffield knife

Sheffield knife

We stood across the ship's black painted brim,
forever weak appeared the beacon's light,
the night imperfect seemed; the stars shone dim,
(moon-flash steel's curb and twinge of Sheffield knife).

The birds' were singing in the mauve of dawn,
notes resolution of communion's chrism,
the images back then, became my dome,
and Hades' kingdom glassy rainbow's prism.

Life ornamental was, fast to dissolve,
advancing wilt, recall of distant stare,
for none was this equation to resolve,
a wine's red spill, and stars' marquee of prayer.

( I'll stay away from Aden's doleful coast
assuming that earth's blooming fields are mine,
upon the wharf a flash and I became a ghost,
a challenging recall and blade's bold shine -

- I do recall our sweetest Sunday feasts,
the teenage dreams and blue noon skies,
our bicycling along the shoreline's mists,
the nightly gatherings, our talks and smiles.)

Six empty shells

A blinding sun had made her stare askance;
he walked the distance to converge his fate,
a swirling, laughing wind began to dance
and jokingly their lives to desecrate.

Replacing the six empty shells he turned
to see her worried glance beyond the blooms,
that innocent embellished unconcerned
the reckless, smiling braves aside their tombs.

The Smith and Wesson forty-fours then bucked,
she knew the blooming noon was ending fast
and nothingness neglected to obstruct
what fates adjudicated to recast.

She saw the brazen shells inside the dust;
monochromatic synthesis and hues
of sepia were blurring in the gust
that swirling sang their lonesome, Tombstone blues.

The Promise

When meanings have been broken,
When your cross has been uncrossed,
When the reasons that you gave me,
In the labyrinth have been lost.
When your house has been emptied,
When your bedroom is swept clean,
I will come and wake you,
From your long and endless dream.

GHOST

      GHOST
Oh, gentle ghost, you come and then you go,
with puzzles of the past, unanswered still,
your fragrance calls to mind, things I don't know,
from every word you give, I take my fill.

Tis life's great tragedy, you'd have me wear,
for all the days and nights, I've left to hold,
but spirit brings the dark, and takes me where
I reach the all alone, not growing old.

Your beauty is my breath--my greatest sin,
and has your mother known you all this well,
to say from where you come, where I have been?
The things she cannot know, she cannot tell.

Oh, gentle ghost, I fail deep in your eyes,
into a death that never truly dies.

Spirituals and Drums

My ancestors walking in the night
using oil lights and moonlight for guides
while being instructed to Wade in the Water
to camouflage their scents like disguise

The Sweet Chariot awaited
so they could ride away
Harriet was a soldier
and it wasn't an option to be caught during the day
That's the same mentality Nat Turner had when he sang
Steal Away

They would follow the drinking gourd
so all were in accord to go north
The Gospel Train was coming
and at the end of the journey
was a fine reward
Freedom was coming
and it was a long time coming and
they walked until they heard freedom bells ringing
and I still hear their tired footsteps running

Thinking of My Darling Nelly Gray
Stolen from my arms a random September day
and eliminated our chances to run away together
No family ties, no love, no strength says the oppressor

Then I hear the drums beat in the darkness
giving me the hope of finally being free
Maybe I'll follow them this time on faith
on bended knee
There must be a place for me among the light
of this darkness
Among oppression, thieves, evil-doers
no thought on their conscience

Thank goodness for the safe houses that
supported our traveled distances
and for the conductors who bore witnesses
and may God have mercy on the souls who
were against this
and on those who chose to forget this sh@!

I still hear crying in quilts of safety
because I know that the burden was heavy
to be at the mercy of nature and patrol men
catching run-away slaves for money
Some did it bare feet with freedom ahead of this
loved induced journey and they made it
So all that bull about how your life is hard
just stuff it in an envelope and save it

DEATH SHADOW

DEATH'S SHADOW!

Death has a shadow of an effervescent wall.

A whore is defined but to never exist in the world.
This child is of spirit and soul but death’s shadow savors her.

A girl lies in her resting place,
To sleep and dream up beautiful images.

Where the darkness is light relishes.
Brothels of men appear.

She is only four years point six months old.
Prophecies begin to unfold.

Was she the chosen one?
She does not enjoy what has formed.

She runs into her mother’s room.
Highly favored, she is consoled.

She is held closely until she falls asleep.
Her mother tucks her in.

Phantasm is this girl transition into her spiritual orbs.
She sees each body normal with her bare eyes.

She does not ogle.
Through fear, she embraces slumber.

Dynamism will be known.
Death’s shadow is unveiled.

Beyond the Frontier

Where am I? Why is it dark?
This isn’t what I had in mind when I left the park…
Why isn’t the wind whispering…the songbirds singing?
All I remember is a telephone ringing…
A scream and a crash and a pain in my side…
Is this what happens after one’s died?
I don’t feel like myself, I feel wild and free,
Yet I’m cold and alone, 'stead of filled with glee.

My whole life I’ve studied, and pondered, and prayed,
Trying to fathom what would happen this day
But now that it’s here, I’m beginning to fear
Maybe the afterlife’s not what it appears…
It’s certainly not what I’ve been told by my preacher
Or my parents or brother or best friend or teacher…
Is it a bad thing, or is it good?
Maybe it’s just not quite understood...

While I was on Earth, I just couldn’t wait
To meet good St. Peter at the heavenly gate
And ask him a question or query or two
“What was my purpose?” “What good did I do?”
“What’s it all for?” “How does it all flow?”
“Can I have one more body, one more try, one more go?”
But where is the angel? Where is the gate? And
If this is Hell, then where is Ol’ Satan?
Am I a lost soul? Am I forgotten?
Am I to be left here until I am rotten?

Lo and behold! what, now, can this be?
Is this a wonderful spiritual epiphany?
Is this the magical feeling all souls receive
When they leave Earth? Oh! was I that naïve?
How could I have not seen the realism?
Why was I consumed in man-made idealism?
This is more wondrous than all I was taught
Oh, all the times I argued and fought
With others, ‘bout how their views were asinine
Now I see, theirs were just as wrong as mine!
Little I thought was actually correct!
How, why, did I let others petty beliefs infect
My untouched, my pure, my virgin mind?
I regret all the hours I self-tortured to find
That compared to what I see now, I was empty and blind…

Wait - - What is this that I see?
What is this gateway that is revealed unto me?

Now a door is opened to my immortal soul
I am expected now to enter my life’s final goal…
I am scared, intimidated, but still I am glad…
For the truth I have just seen is anything but bad.
This is the end of my journey, I’ve nothing to fear,
For now I am going Beyond the Frontier.

Jesus Paid It All

Jesus’ death paid it all!
What have you given in return?
His death on the cross…
Was from his love and concern!

His life for yours… On Calvary…
 Has been paid.
His offer of eternal life,
 has been made!

Through God’s word,
 he’s been talking!
And stands at your hearts door…
 patiently knocking!

Won’t you invite him in? As your guest?
Then, your life will be totally blessed!

He can bring health and
 healing to your bones!
He can bring his love to
 your family and home!

“Come unto me.” Is the
  the master’s call.
Won’t you come to him now?
  One and all?

He’s here right now!
 In this very place…
And extends to you his
mercy and grace.

Won’t you accept him today?
He loves you more than words can say!

Losing Sight

Why was I given these eyes that hide
Behind this clumsy heart-
Hands and knees forever searching
For an honest soul?
It feels as though we're wringing water
From a dusty rag.
It feels as though we're submerged in longing
Ever drowning in our thirst.

Why was I given these eyes that grope
For another’s warmth,
When love is fired through a gun,
Or taken from a calloused hand;
Sight has cursed my heart to see
The naked spent to dust.

Blindness,
Kiss me with your tasteless lips and I will see no more.
I will not see their tears through mine,
I will not see their laughter;
I will not see their careless words,
Looking dumbly after.
I will not see their hateful glares that only’ve seen hateful eyes.
I will not see their broken ears that never hear my broken cries;
They’ll all be black to me.

Innerself

He swifts on by like a moon lighted night.
He shines bright for a moment in time.
His arm's always open with warmth.
His smile always bigger then everyone elses.
His heart of rage and fire.
He swifts on by, he swifts on by.
Who will know the true man within.
The man thats full of sin.
No one can, no one can, for we are all just man...

The Inner City

I woke up early this morning contemplating,
pondering over the meaning of this dream,
Dreams that take me to mountains and valleys
Dreams that lands me into big cities,
Cheerful dreams ,troubling dreams
Dreams with no fitting answer
to this mysterious and perpeteous riddle of life.

My quest for deeper truth has outgrown the
the knowledge of my youth and the gift of
enlightenment suddenly appears and has
taken me to higher spheres far beyond
man-made knowledge, exuberant mysteries,
numerous victories,and often times overwhelming
burden forcing me to cry woeful tears.

This night my spirit wanders peacefully in a
dilapidated shopping area in the inner city
It must have ben earlier than seven o' clock in the morning
when I approached a kiosk with its shabby architecture
hinged in dismay among the rest of shops
The tranquil morning stripped of all its beauty
walking upon corridors of hope in the face of despair.

I walked up to the wooden counter with its cheap
merchandize positioned all around and called aloud.
A man whose hidden features remained obscured
Whose secrecy seemed to be buried way beyond
the deep appeared at the counter and said,
"I am opened, all the other shops are closed."

I ordered eggs and he broke the eggs and
pour them upon a white plate, bright yellow yoke
stared at me as if a story was embedded them.
I told him that I wanted whole eggs and he handed me
a dozen eggs in a carton instead.

As I stepped outside an unknown presence told me
that a man who has been locked up for twenty years was released
and I should go and talk to him.Suddenly I found myself in
the company of that man and his wife but I could not see his face.
He took me to the bushes near his house and retold the entire story
And this was what he said to me.

"I cannot forgive myself for what happened, it was an accident,"
he said tearfully; "my daughter was playing at this very spot
when she fell into the pit,she was only three years old
It was an accident." he repeated in a convincing tone.

While he was telling the story I saw another image of him
at the same spot holding the child by the feet with head down
over the pit. This frightening image propelled me out of my sleep.
What we know is that the sun rises in the east and rests in the west
The sun shines upon good and evil, may her precious soul rest in peace.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             ©2014 Christine Phillips

The Silent Lamb

The silent bell rings in the night,
Calling the devils to kneel to the light,
What once was, becomes no more,
As the light breaks through the open door.

What you think and what you feel,
What you saw and thought was real,
Is now only dust on the road,
The desolate remains of your ancient abode.

The new light is rising on the hill,
The new song is singing down in the well,
The new souls are dreaming of your face,
The new hearts are beating at you pace.

The old ideas and reasons you gave,
Are buried in the tomb and in the grave,
The rotting bone and flesh are gone,
In the morning dew, in the morning sun.

The light shines through the open door,
Casts no shadow on the old dirty floor,
The ancient laws of reason and might,
Crumble to dust in the morning light.

What once was real and certain as rock,
Is now the dream the baby forgot,
The new light coming to wake you my love,
The silent lamb and the flying dove.

The Strand

This expanse of land has seen things.
Things all of us can only see in dreams.
It's seen war, it's gotten it's fair share of scars.
Bombs bursting, bullets throwing sand into the air like it's a volleyball tournament.
The sand running red with blood silently mocking our arteries.

This magnificent stretch of land has seen heroes' tears fall; dropping to their knees while sadness envelopes their fallen brothers but also looking up to their beloved whilst carrying a ring in their hand.

It's seen bright days, the sun glimmering over wet sand, footprints of past loves being washed away as the sun smacks the horizon.

This expanse of land...has seen things we can only imagine.

Forty Lost

Time moves on,
and soon will tell,
when asked for whom
they ring the bell…
 Forty lived
…and forty lost,
you left before twilight.
When it’s half as much,
at twice the cost,
you’ll bask
in perfect light…
We live in castles
…made of sand,
we come as a stranger,
but leave as a friend…
Remember now,
your last first kiss,
those times will be
profoundly missed…
Your smile indeed
could cast a spell.
You learned to
play a bad hand well…
With all our hopes
and dreams in tow,
we are old too quick,
and wise too slow.
Life’s an elaborate
complex dance...
Would you live again,
if you had the chance?

Only The Beginning

Only the Beginning

Do not weep for me
For now it is heaven I see
Glorious fields of green
And oceans blue
Twinkling Stars in the sky
On angels’ wings I now fly
Do not weep for me my darling one
I am forever in your heart
Heaven – once a mystery
Is now just a start
And once again we shall meet
Until that time comes
Smile for me
Dance for me
Be light on your feet
For when you think of me
I’ll be thinking of you

Along The Way

I say goodbye
To this chapter in my life
Im sure you will get the answers
When im gone
So when the day comes
The sun will not touch my face
Theres mistakes
The path is long
Look at my face
The stories it could tell
The ones that wont erase
Tell the ones that cared enough
That i finally left this place
So play the song
Its something to remind you
When im gone

Bukowski

Was it said before? Sure.
Was it said this way? I doubt it.
Perspective is in no way obscure,
And his works are nothing without it.

His motivation’s observed in daily life,
Misery, not just some vague inspiration.
He begs for reason, some way to lessen strife;
His words reflect a resounding desperation.

There seems a need at times to clarify,
But that’s allowed in his terms only;
So many thoughts seem somewhat ‘rarefied’,
Fed his fire, but made him lonely.

No ‘underachiever’, not just another fool,
But still seeking solace by the glass;
Tempering his stagger and his drool
With just a bit of ‘kiss my ass.’

But, usually, genius ‘sots’ come to ground,
Lucid moments - on the square;
Their driving ‘bolts’ of genius, word or sound,
Only written because they dare.

Yes, you can feel the written “heart”,
But few of us can realize that sort of pain;
No isolated misery… of many lives a part,
Each begs an answer... “Who’ll stop the rain?”

Yes, he’s lived it, seen it, and told it well;
But Timing is the Master of one’s Fate.
Is the timing right? Funny…only time will tell…
Will you will be a whining sot or dare to be great?

One success can be lucky, we’ve seen that before.
One book, one song, then quietly fade away.
But six novels later, we should know the score;
He must have had something to say.

So, at the perfect time, someone heard.
Someone who was “someone” took someone under wing.
And to those with interest and empathy, they sold his words;
Saying they “are genius” and with “ugly truth” they ring.

But did he create any redeeming changes or impacts?
Yes, what singular influence did all his artful whining bring?
None... just a relentless, repetitive diatribe of sad facts.
Oh, yes…..and a little “ching ching”.

Ulterior Song

Expanding lead, the songs to dome and lands unknown,
where ancient schemes and mysteries denote the search,
the foliage leaves announcers are and shadows grown
transmit to find the final ports where souls converge.

Along the cause, the reasons change on saddened dawn,
foretelling prophetess from skies implements lies,
about the souls' ulterior route - of dark drapes drawn,
beside the will of the cold winds that spell demise.

The ghosts define with howling songs the nightly dark,
souls hark the calls inviting them where feelings flare,
and angels confer skyward trip where they embark,
while blurry visions of the tears reside in glare.

Along the sorrow of souls gone, serene and calm,
spreads up the chapels' knell salute to skies' realm.

Armageddon

Flames roared through the nights sky.
A glimpse of blue still protruded through the flames.
The heat warmed the mortals below.
They believed that this was a great night.
The sky emulated a beautiful red color.
The color was extraordinary with remnants of blue.
They believed that they were all safe.
They were not nearly as safe.
They were witnessing Armageddon.
The war between good and evil.
For no one is safe until judgment day.
That is the day when the sky will forever remain blue.
The birds will sing a tune.
The flowers will bloom.
That will be the day.
The day when we will all be ok.

The prison of the keys

And now I've lost my papers,
My passport and my wife,
The very essence of
My identity and life.

My bank account is empty,
My cloths and garments sold,
My skin and bones are ashes,
Spread thin on the open road.

My old car's broken down,
No wheels to touch the floor,
The motor been dismantled,
Stripped clean down to the core.

The bailiffs and the policemen,
Have emptied my abode,
The promises I made you,
Have been auctioned out and sold.

The love I hold within me,
Is all that I now have left,
The rest is bleak illusion,
The bind man and the deaf.

The imaginary people ,
I thought were my friends,
Have left the scene forever,
As the road of life does bend.

And now I stand alone,
Upon this lonely hill,
I gaze upon the meanings,
The years have silently killed.

In the roaring storms of thunder,
In the lightning in the night,
In the whispering of the children,
In the white doves lonely flight.

In the dust of many ages,
That has settled on my soul,
In the ashes of my humanity,
That has filled my begging bowl.

The ancient breeze is blowing,
Calling me to my knees,
To behold the light within me,
In the prison of the keys.

Here Is Gone

Ever thought of something so much
That when you wake up it just automatically
Crawls into your brain cells
Shoots them with laser beams
Until they explode
And that’s the only thing you have left to think of
Because everything else is fried
Ever wish you could go back and change that night
Wish that you wouldn’t have left her side
That you would have just listened to your heart
Instead of your gut
Instead of that little voice that echoes
In the back of your head
Ever wished that you wouldn’t be reading this poem
That everything could be like your dreams
Like a family who gets along
Like having a famous relative
Dreaming that you had a better life
More money to spend
More bass guitars to buy
Less drama
Then you find this special someone
Who you can really relate to
And you never want to let them go
But somehow they slip through your fingers
Then your life crumbles
Falling down like the rain in a thunderstorm
Wishing you could change everything
But you just start over
And try to move on
And somehow end up at the beginning all over again

Uncle Mel

The clock ticked at nine in the evening of July
When I lay on the bed in the silence of the night
Trying to fall asleep but something's bothering
A feeling interfered and started shivering

My eyes were almost closed when I heard a noise
Slowly getting louder; what a frightening voice?
It's knocking on my door like there's something wrong
Breathing stopped; heartbeats like never before

I paused in indecision while holding the door knob
From the window the wind blows; atmosphere's intense
As I opened the door, I almost killed a man
Uncle Mel is on the house; a blushed of surprise

He asked if Dad's around and seemed a need inside
I wondered that he looked liked exhausted and too tired
Yet, I answered him in an awkward style
Then he left me with a feeling of strange and fright

I went back on my bed feeling weird and crazy
I have just made a ghost; an illusion of fear
I let it out of me since nightmares are greedy
The more we think of terror, the more it eats our dream

The morning waved hello; everything's fine
I got off my bed to start the day right
Then I saw my Mom packing and dealing with some stuffs
She's crying and leaving to town

Questions I'd asked to know what's going on
At the tip of her tongue but to utter's arduos
I calmed her down and her story has begun
About an innocent man who died the night I got wild

It was an evening in July, nine on a dot
When the man got stabbed stopping a fight
Calling my dad's name; looking for help
Dead on the spot and found no aid

Goosebumps all over when I heard the news
It's Uncle Mel who passed away and visited my room
Never knew all the reasons behind the apparition
One thing's for sure, He's soul still calls

floating brim

An eerie spell recites with Auster,
but none should listen to the gust
above the cargo stars foster
the ship sheers off, in night's dark cast.

We hark the words - a haunted song,
the wind recites through our whisper,
upon Atlantic's route lifelong
an enigmatic big dipper.

Atop the bridge acoustics sharpen,
eerie's the steersman whistling song,
- juke box and liquor in Antwerpen
where he was not much right or wrong.

Astounding flash - the blade was drawn,
for cause nigh naught, wrong talk offends
on brines his ghost shall trip foregone
in southern winds, his Hohner blends.

We pass alargo from Cape Coast,
that blade's fast draw forwards the past,
an end aghast, a moonshine ghost
will haunt my sleep, invite me last.

Our cargo cuts through bluish drape,
our diesels hum - besetting rhythm;
in mists envisioned smiling gate,
slowly engulfs our floating brim.

Beware of Your Shadow

When everything and everyone repel from you
Because of the evil you emanate,
Your hushed shadow always stays with you-
It stays true like a son, or a loving dog,
right at your heels, never talking.
Speechless as a stick.

But beware
When that very Shadow starts stalking you
Since it has had enough of your evil stench
There is nowhere else to self conceal....

For you will Look over your shoulder
And it will still be there, there and there-
Like the eery ghost of the victim you gutted.

You will Shiver and thin and thin
As teeth quiver and rattle in a blink
While that Shadow will but rub its nebulous hands
and grin, grin, grin,
And with cold-eyes, whisper-
"Till death do us part, buddy,
I shall Haunt you to death."

ONCE UPON A LIFETIME

ONCE UPON A LIFETIME

I came unaware; a heartbeat
comfortable in place
forced onto existence
on a starry night
before the light began.

time opened up
and reality flew by
on a memory tapestry
Interwoven signed and
sealed as a solitary life

from the beginning
to the end, all was
destined to be remembered
by thoughts alone
creations of vanity
shared in a connected
cosmic consciousness
we can only guess at.

Listen

Listen to the buzzing, in your ears,
Listen to the humming, of your fears,
Listen to the baby, crying inside,
Listen to the pleading, in your lover's eyes.
Listen to the music, you have never played,
Listen to the sinner, who's never been saved.
Listen to the empty, silence of your mind,
Listen to the whispers, of man kind.
Listen to the never, heard nor seen,
Listen to the listener, who has never been.
Listen to the monkey, you know you really are,
Listen to the wise man, who's never been that far.
Listen to the dying, crying man,
Listen to the bottle, buried in the sand.
Listen to meaning, you never really meant,
Listen to the letter, you never really sent.
Listen to the lovers, who loved another one,
Listen to the brothers, torturing their mum.
Listen to the noisy, who never say a thing,
Listen to the silent, crying deep within.
Listen to the never, ever really said,
Listen to the dead man, laying in his bed.
Listen to the flying, dying man,
Listen to the solid, only made of sand,
Listen to the night time, they told you that was day,
Listen to the meaning, they stole an took away.
Listen to the singer, who never made a sound,
Listen to the thunder, in the lightning cloud.
Listen to the voices, you never hear within,
Listen to the last train's whistle, whistling.

Two birds

Two birds

We heard the owls' becrowing words,
foreboding of our steadfast grief,
they fled to dusk - two mourning birds
life's borderlines and false beliefs.

Two owls have passed, in gray and black,
straight arrows fled to vanish yon
our longest trip on railway tracks,
bemocking company and gone.

Upon our train have sat the birds,
the passengers won't go to stars;
poetic emptiness of words
that rhymes with unforgiven mars.

Unspoken are we, in the cars,
suspended is the pilot's gaze,
the rails become two iron bars
and death's advancing mauve bouquets.

The heads move with the engine's chug
like dancing poppies in the breeze,
and none among us will debug
why are we Charon's invitees.

The souls imprisoned trail along
the thrumming engine's wordless
rites and wait through nothingness and
wrongs their trip to reach uncounted heights.

She waited on the skyline, bloom and thorn
accordment of their oaths and thoughts at night
annealed recited entity - vows sworn
- the brave ascended to the Halls of light.

War-bullet traveled through the frozen air
companion loved - his stare embraced the ferns
- the laurel and the sage ascribed his fair
the stalwart chose the path of moon and ernes.

Dim lantern's flame her thought - on peaks beseech

And in the mists when winds bemoan in pines
their solemn words will fly from slopes to brines.

Battling Addiction

The white dragon hunts you.
With eyes of a predator, ever watching.
Waiting in the dark shadows to strike.

I have chased this dragon before.
For he has haunted me, as well.
Many a lifetime ago.
That you did not know.

There is terror in my heart.
I want to scream, run!
But you will not hear me,
Over the roar of his breath,
or the promise of more.

Your choice binds you to the chase.
No spell I can cast will be enough to save you,
Beautiful boy.
I can only stand here,
 and watch,
as this dragon looms
over your poisoned mind,
and weakened body.

You are running out of time.
The chaos is closing in.
Gripping you tighter every time.
I cannot stand to watch.

My heart dies a thousand deaths.
You must run.
Please, I beg of you, for all you are beautiful boy.
I don't want to watch you slip into the past,
As you fall prey to the dragon.
Run!!

WHY ARE WE HERE

Copyright © 2012
12/17/2012
(A Purpose So Clear)

Like children we fear
  In secret a somber tear

Like learning to walk
 Babies listen to talk

And reach for a hand
  To help them stand

This too, we all must do
  By HIS Hand made anew

THE SPIRIT OF A SLAVE

Where did all those black people go in Black History such as W.E.B Dubois,
George Washington Carver, Sojourner Truth, and many more that came before.
      Why have their families disappear?
When you search their genealogy, their surnames are found.
      Were their families wiped-out?
I am speaking on today.
These people paved a way out no way.

[NEGRO SPIRITUAL - THE SPIRIT OF A SLAVE]

These old bones of mine stir in the grave.
I was a freedom fighter in my days.
Great I did do for the slaves even when their life in this country had been made.
We wanted a better living a holistic way.
Our troubles where many; we saw through the white man eyes or ways.
Old bones of mine became tired and disengaged.

      Where is my family now?
Where did they go?
My spirit roams to find my kinfolks.
Our surname is no more.

My soul was baptized in the Mississippi.
I was raised from the river saved.
No sin was present and I lived right.
When I knew my time had come, I closed my eyes.
In those days, doctors were few in saving the life of a slave.
The pain was so great I knew I was gone.
But by the grace of God my life went on.
Ten years later, I was summoned home.

      My people are no more.
Where did my people go?
      I see our house yonder.
Our surname is not in existence any more.

      The spirit of a slave
The soul afire
Roams the world in the sweet by and by
He shouts, "Still I Rise!"

Gunwale shades in the breeze

Gunwale shades

The breeze evoked the fading light;
opaque the molecules of air
along the brae addressed the night,
returning beasts and men to lair.

The faded words' transmitted strain,
defined on memories to last,
unable phase was to obtain
responses to their quests' recast.

Chrysanthemums that turned to shades,
perfumed the night on minds to nest,
she laughed! (His entity evades
to be night-solitude's best guest).

Bespoken vows were said to meet
inside the breeze; the seas' motif,
upon the maps, trips incomplete
became, a shoreline and a reef.

Neglected was their feast of e'er
- the passing breeze increased years' count,
He made her laugh his solemn flare,
and builder of a lone surmount.

The Sea, like mistress hence embraced
one soul of nautilus that fled
inside the breeze while dark had graced
night's gunwale cold that hurt and bled.

Her wraith induced his soul to free,
invited dancer to death's fair;
eternal guest and cedar tree
while void in front absorbed his stare.

Ghost

I can hear you,
I know you're there,
You can hear me too,
In this home we share.

Are you someone I knew,
Someone from the past,
Can it really be true,
When had I seen you last.

Or did you live here,
A long time ago,
You, I do not fear,
This I hope you know.

Did you just pass away,
Like most people do,
Why do you stay,
Was life taken from you.

Was your life so tragic,
That your spirit will remain,
Just like a trick of magic,
Your form you can regain.

You might watch me at night,
But I never have seen you,
Will I recognize the sight,
As a face that I once knew.

The Soul Shatters

The soul shatters upon death. Sentience fractures into a million variables that swirl chaotically into piercing eyes that melt into the color sadness, spinning into galaxies that shrink to the size of ants and you twirl in a blender of being for eternities until finally, at long last, something sticks. Perhaps it may be as simple as a strand of hair, nonetheless all possibility spins around it, flashing contradictions of rainbow transparencies, empty solids and polka dotted space, continuing until a second hair joins the first, clutching to the nothingness and refusing to move. Soon thousands of hairs arrive and synchronize above a scalp unto a face, torso, limbs… materializing ever faster… and at once you are born. And just as the memory of your trial and error experiments and prior life evaporate, you embrace the arms of a stranger, gazing into her eyes, hung between this world and the next… sobbing in a fit of omniscience, in awe of your hard earned shape.

Inside the Membrane

The pain I feel inside
Can be derived from my dad pride
I sit alone at night
There is this emptiness that is
The squandering of time
pondering what life will be like
Who knew that twenty-one
Would be More bumps and lumps than fun
I want to dump this chump
Standing in front of the mirror
Waiting till its clearer
This Brings a sobering effect
Over thinking each step
It is like I'm playing freeze tag
With these mundane demons
And They always keep me in check
Because I cant see them
I have been contained and constrained
I complain of chest pains
Till my veins pop off like champagne
Bruce Banner's a freight train
Going insane in the membrane

So should I smoke weed then
To cope with this moping season
Cause my yoke is heavy
and dope seems dope for lots of reasons
Even though I do know
What the verse says in Ephesians
"Do not get drunk on wine...
Instead be filled with the spirit"
This is my one beacon
That's give me hope when I hear it
Its a choice for heathens
Like me, to write our own lyrics
Since death has been beaten
And no longer need to fear it
His love is infinite

Skin Deep

Achilles' heel
You’re another day older
The world’s much colder
She…

It’s not your fault
They were taken
Don’t blame yourself
for God’s mistake
Is…

Her beauty reflects your own
Her life reflects your future
Chasing rabbits will get you there faster
Loss of faith will bring you there faster
Watching…

The ball drops
It’s clever to see
What happens to us
And here we are
Waiting…

Yes,
Take the evil out of this
You’re stronger
She’s stronger and always,
Loving…

How Hard Could it Be Part 1

How hard could it be to take my first step?

“Come to mommy, you can do it.”

“Oh you're home. Hon, look at him go.”

As I take another step, he picks me up.

He hugs me tight but gently and kisses me on the cheek.

I feel so safe, loved and happy. Perhaps that's how it was.

(I really don't remember back that far.)

How hard could it be, my first day at school.

My mom meets me at the front door of the building,

hugs me and says, “How was your first day? Did you have fun today?”

He comes home after a hard day at work and mom says,

“Hi Hon, it was Den’s first day of school.”

He picks me up in his strong arms and says,

“I knew you could do it.” A hug and a kiss on the cheek.

How hard could it be to learn how to drive a car or a truck?

“Den, come with me. Let's take a short ride down the road.”

We both climb up into Dad's blue 1955 Chevy pickup.

He stops on the back road, gets out, comes around and says, “Scoot over. It's

your turn.”

I start the engine, push in the clutch, shift and we start out slowly.

I'm nervous, I speed up, clutch in, shift again.

Oh crap, I shifted into reverse, truck stopped abruptly and backfired.

Dad looks at me, “But you did it.“ He hugs me, a kiss on the cheek.

How hard could it be to go away to college?

I'm so glad she has a phone so I can call my mom and dad.

“Hi Den, how are things going? You've got a B average.

That's great. I knew you could do it. I love you, see you soon.”

“You met a girl? What's her name? Wow, see you soon. I love you”

“You want to marry her? Big step; in Holland? Okay, we love you.”

How hard could it be to have a family?

“Oh, it's a girl. Mireille, that's a nice name.” He hugs me, kiss on the cheek.

“Another girl, Michelle, that's a nice name too.” He hugs me, kiss on the cheek.

“You finally had a boy, Michael, good choice.” Hug and a kiss.

Birthdays, holidays, weekends, visits back and forth, phone calls.

He loves them all, unconditionally. Hugs and kisses all around.

How hard could it be as life goes on?

He watches them grow up, get married and have children.

He loves them all, unconditionally, hugs and kisses all around.

We take short trips and mom and Dad go with us now and then.

We go camping and mom and Dad visit us now and then.

Every time you left, hugs and kisses all around. Always, “See you soon.”

Liberties Slowly Taken

Liberties slowly taken,
"We The People" forsaken,
From our "Leaders" nothing is said.
The economy crashes.
Propaganda T.V. flashes.
Jobs along with answers have fled.

New World Order completed.
Freedom and Saints defeated.
Faith of many shaken.
Deaths long cold rattling groan.
An ancient evil on the throne.
Enemies quickly taken.

Jesus Paid the Sacrifice

Jesus Paid The Sacrifice! Jesus sacrificed his life for you and me! So we can be with him for all eternity! His life for ours… a ransom was paid IN FULL, This is why I I love HIM so! Upon his head were placed the crown of thorns, Enduring so much shame and scorn. The blood from his body as it began to flow! The pain inside his body, Began to grow! The nails placed in his feet and hands, The pain he went through is hard to understand. His life for ours, is what he gave! His life for ours… Is what he did trade! By Jim Pemberton

Fleeting

There is a brilliant sun setting on the horizon.
I wipe tears from my eyes, and watch in a strange sense of awe.
The sun kisses everything with it’s radiating beams
and then disappears from view.
It reminds me that,
like many things in life,
these serenely beautiful moments are often fleeting.
Words are left unsaid, moments forgotten, lives lost.
But, in those quiet moments,
when I feel the sun's warmth on my face,
I know you're sending me a smile and lighting up my life, once again.

In A Hotel Room

Why did they go? They always go,
Whether they saw me I simply don’t know,
They’re here for a night and then go away,
And leave me behind, all alone I must stay,
And wait for the loved ones to whom I belong,
But I’ve been waiting now for ever so long,
I’m starting to think that they’ll never return,
But I remember those faces so full of concern,
On the day that I fell into the old hotel pool,
I never did master swimming at school,
But somehow I pulled myself out from the deep,
And came back to this room where my parents did sleep,
My Mother’s blue eyes had turned red with her tears,
Just as any mother’s whose child disappears,
I don’t understand why they just didn’t see,
That I was standing there just where I should be,
Then they were gone, leaving me here in this room,
Sometimes full of life, sometimes cold as the tomb,
Why did they go? They always go.

see truth in a literal
belief before my face
stars with no funeral
light will win the race
here i am, not for long
death starts at home

where is this leading?
which story could it be?
despite all my reading

i dont need to know it all

Grave Yard

Your eyes shut tight
Hearing a sound
Your heartbeat races
You can feel the little pieces
Bleeding through
The hairs on your arms
Stand up
Closing your eye lids shut
Keeping them from opening
Reaching your hand over
To turn on the light
Once you do
You open your eyes
And nothing is there
Your heat beat dies down
And your back to feeling alone

Walking to the graveyard
Going there as you
And leaving there as someone else
You can feel them all around you
Grasping unto you
And never letting go
Places parellel
You know its something paranormal

You decide not to stay
You feel yourself start to fade away
pretty soon everything
will be back where it belongs

The ghost grabbed unto your depression
And it slowly killed you
From the inside out
Now you are in the graveyard

What's it all about

The final approach

Fuselage shot

Partially sighted

Dim, dull, distant dumb

He’s hurting such a lot

Vague outline of landing lights

In the leaden fog

Voices in the distance

“can you hear me were going to take some blood”

“Is that okay Alfie?”

"What’s it all about”

he shouts “ I need to land the plane”

The rain spits like automatic gun fire

The wings start flapping

Like an old 6mm film breaking out from its sprockets

As the film frame melts the image onto the whitewashed wall

Eye balls push hard on his sockets

Oh No !Down! Down! Down!

The gearing jerks and jolts him awake

Eyes flash open briefly

Lucidly

Smiles at me

Waves a hand at me

Talks to be

He knows me

Come back tomorrow

Can’t you see

I’m missing my wife and

I’m busy messing the bed

The nurse just looks at me

Pulls the curtain in front of me

He screams “just leave me”

Then eyes close

Dreams shatter

Like the remains of a cereal bits

At the bottom of a cornflake packet

The final approach

The wind is howling

Oxygen masks dropping

Can’t concentrate anymore

He cries, he screams he cries again and again

He reaches out to touch people who aren’t there

Bright as a button he mind tries to reason

Green berry

North Africa

Desert storm

He knows, aware, he cares not of himself

He reflects on his life

Unstoppable crying, regrets, tear jerking

Muscle spasm, insane pain again and again

He knows he is losing

The final approach

A bumpy ride

He wants to die

“Please leave me alone”

Morphine calming, dreaming screaming

Touching the shadows

Reaching out to feel what I cannot see

Talking in riddles

The calmway

The runway

becomes the pathway

They leave him alone

His last assignment

Making adjustment for the final alignment

Calm

Clean

Rested

Lips damping

No Shit!

Waiting patiently in the stack

”Oh god why has thou forsaken me!”

In this hospital bed

He dies horribly

My cobain smile

I want to drown my urge to die
I want to kill my pulse inside
I can't breathe, I'm paranoid
Everything in life I avoid

Don't speak to me, I'll look away
Inside my eyes is just decay
I'm already dead, but have yet to die
Why do I keep my body alive

My soul is dead, eyes are lies
So is the smile I hide behind
Pull the plug, I'm a fake
In a nightmare and I cannot wake

Drown me! I'm flooded in pain
Please help me regain
Some peace, some rest
I want to die to live again

Set me free
Slitting my wrists isn't working
The more stares I get
The more I become numb
I just need to be gone
Eliminate my pain,
I'm already out of breath
Suffocating on my hopelessness

Every day I am alive
But I'm craving to die inside
Curved smile because your so naive
You think I'm happy
Yet I'm being crushed
My head is overflowing
With these thoughts that are too much

One word, suicide
Sparks a light inside of my eyes

I don't want to pretend to live
Let me go, flood me in sin
There is where I want to swim
Six feet under the ground

Don't be selfish
And keep me in pain
To tourture my lifeless body again
Let my body float soundly
Rushing water, ocean salt
I promise I won't feel it at all.

End it, hold me under
Then bury me so I can slumber
Goodbye lifeless eyes
As I'm dying I'll be coming alive
Haunting images
Deleted from my mind
Laughing
As I leave this world behind

Water
Floods my lungs
Death
Leans in for a kiss

Together we sink into insanity
And drown in infinitys abyss.

Upper Hand

Free will and choice, we think we know,
the high road calls our name.
But man's destruction arises low
in a part we just can't tame.

And evil's there, in quiet repose,
we rap it's hollow door.
And here we sit for what we chose
as they tally the final score.

Of all the battles we fought within,
none matter but the last.
An epic struggle set to begin
from which our destiny is cast.

In the afterlife of death's staid pale,
too late to take a stand,
will eternity be in heaven or hell?
We must await the upper hand.

Arcanum Bride

She came to me - becharming was an' fair;
resound of church bells call - remote Sunday;
angelical her face in streams of air;
she fled into my nothingness of gray..

She fled towards the gray - transformed to drops;
above the fields accepted were her clouds;
Amid the dusky shadows of tree tops,
Imparted lives, my aloneness' Styx shrouds;

Lone arbiter of my arcanum bride,
my sentiments ascended - to orbit,
a quilt of nimbus covered me and cried,
my life became a flight - winds' chorded ambit!

She stared at me from yonder stills, merry;
Unreal she reached my soul but was lifeless;
The trumps of Angels played in notes airy,
her bridal offered pure affableness;

In Acheronian lakes I loved her gleam;
her thousand tears of rain, arcanum song;
she fled above the cumulus to deem,
and crown noctilucent my waxed lifelong.

Dead Writer

He writes/

Though he’s dead/

His poetry a stepladder but nobody knows/

He’s mad/

Yawns anger/

Is poetry alive above all this rhymes you bury in their souls to mime/

My poetry grew and flew into their heartfelt rivers/

Stinking biters/

Lifeguards poetically saved drowning letters and conglomerate lyrical biters /

The mic a grip of a lifetime/

My death a birth place for writers/

Though my family was my audience/

In my time poetry got louder written in my heart not the sky/

Now i write poetry in my dead/

Pedestrians walk my journey reviving dead poems/

Hope has been on my tongue/

Now its in their memory/

Until they named me dead writer in my dream/

It’s no six feet I’m hiding underground/

A Silent Wave

A silent wave rushing inside my heart

Your hand leading me so far we won't depart

Your voice I heard in away that's taking me far

Into a silent wave rushing inside my heart.

Oh the thrill it was to hear

your voice so silent as I opened up to you

so wonderful this silent wave rushing inside my heart

I was searching for a answer to a question for so long

there it was a silent wave rushing inside my heart

Your voice Lord, in ways I never found

a silent whisper so very loud

inside my heart the silent wave replied

to me your love is so divine..

So when the shattered dreams are filling your mind

please please listen to the silent wave rushing inside your heart.

As I rise this day

As I rise this day,

thoughts of you go through my mind.

I thank you for another day,

I pray I can do things your way.

The winter is in full bloom Lord,

the chill in the air today is cutting

through the trees,

The branches are crisp and the sky is cloudy,

I pray the day is warmed by your touch,

Lord,I love you so much.

The day is beginning now,

help me to live a life today

that glorifys thy name.

Side of the Road

I cross myself, as I pass
the cross on the side of the road
What they were doing
When they departed this world?
Only the closest to them, does know

Perhaps on their way to work
A policemen, postal-worker, teacher, preacher,
nurse, doctor, lawyer, lumber jack, jackhammer operator
bus driver, taxi driver, beautician, politician
retail or grocery store clerk

Was Jennifer traveling to her first date?
Was Ronald going to college success class?
Was Rosalina renewing her immigrant worker pass?
Was James rushing to his son’s game?
Trying not to be late?

I cross myself, as I pass
the cross on the side of the road
Does it really matter, the type of road?
Whether country roads, city streets, straight roads, twisting, paved or dirt
To hold a cross it must be stalwart

How is the cross adorned?
With flowers representing life anew
The Patriot’s colors of red, white and blue
An athlete’s dangling running shoes
Is it painted with a name of fame or just ordinary and plain?

I cross myself, as I pass
The cross on the side of the road
Recognizing the soul
Departed to its final abode

Dakota Skies Part 2

Earlier than usual, for the pigs have broken free from their pen,
We are allowed to quit the milking because someone must get them.
The excitement of getting to be with her sets us to a run
But when we discover the pigs, we know that it is done.
From the woodpile we gather two-by-fours with which we lay into
The backs of the wild beasts because it is all we can think to do.
They had formed a circle around her, pushing and pulling her pain
Her hind legs were strings of blood and bone, little did remain.
With curses of Christian children we hurled into the wind
We chased the beasts away from her, beating them for their sin.
Though her cries had quieted to whispers, she was crying still
And this time we cried with her, for we knew the what will.
Mother, we asked for the gun, but father was not home.
Mother, we asked for the knife, but the good knives would not be won.
My brother made me wait inside so I ran to the kitchen window
And perched myself on the sink, pulling the curtain low.
He sat with her head curled in his lap in the shade of the old tree,
Crying into the warmth of her neck and then to set her free
His small arms around her neck and his unanswered cries
Echoing across the plains and through the cold Dakota skies.

3 - Messenger from the Dead

In Hell where I may reside,
if death is not on my side.
Hunger that weeps to no end,
this darkness within my den.

As you enter my palace of pain,
fear not if you have not to gain.
Though previous life proved not,
judgement upon fears are sought.

And so the righteous shall avenge,
in my domain that seeks a revenge.
Cannot escape a wrath left in wake,
my vengeance is all that keep sake.

When I merge the dead with your dreams,
absolute power amongst all that screams.
Should a hundred years from my death,
not exist within the truth spoken breath.

Thus my soul is sacrificed for trading,
greatest power in all my soul waging.
Shall this price not be enough to pay,
the wicked shall cower before I prey.

Signs

The signs are here, for all to see,
The thunder clouds, the dying tree.
The shining lights, that draw you near,
Loud heavy music, in your ear.

By word of mouth, or through cyber space,
The hidden pictures, of your face,
The northern lights, are dancing south,
The rumours you hear, by word of mouth.

The sign are falling, from the sky,
Raining stars, on the passers by,
While the battle rages, on underground,
The innocent dying, without a sound.

The cries of heaven, the screams in hell,
That no one hears, down in this well,
The terrible beauty, the open wound,
The innocent babies, in open tombs.
For all to see, for all to hear,
The blind man's painting, the deaf man's ear.

The birds are falling, the fishes drowned,
What once was up, has now become down,
The tender and loving, an empty shell,
The gross and the ugly, now the rallying bell.

The signs are here, for all to see,
Titanic sinking, on a blood red sea.

I May Not Be Here Tomorrow

I May Not Be Here Tomorrow!

When tomorrow comes, I may not be here!
This life I have… Could just disappear!

I may think of this world as my “sanctuary.”
But my life down here, is just temporary!

Life just passes me by, and goes by fast!
I can think of many things done in the past!

But the past is gone by…
  Tomorrow’s another day!
What am I going to do?
What am I going to say?

I don’t know about the future,
 or what it may bring.
Life has it’s way of bringing
good and bad things!

I’m going to look to Jesus and give him my trust!
Living daily for him...
I shall try! I must!

Jesus holds tomorrow in the palm of his hand!
Everything about me... He already understands!

HE shall be here tomorrow! Till the very end!
He’s somebody I can give my life to! And depend!

I come to you Jesus! For comfort and delight!
I know that with you, everything will be alright!

Life may not turn out the way
 I expect it to be!
But Jesus will take care of it all!
 Most assuredly!

deaducation

Death is painful for those who do not understand
but death is not a punishment , simply part of a plan.

Death is merely the transferring of a soul
To a new place from a place of old

Salvation is the thought that the soul can retain
as it passes from the physical to the spiritual plain.

To the physical being, death is kind of hard to swallow,
because where the spirit goes the body cannot follow.

Death should not be a time of mourning, but a time of celebration.
For the spirit of a man has completed a kind of graduation.

As a student of life pursues his doctorate degree,
death is the final test as he passes the state of sleep.

Once the body passes through the threshold of the physical and spiritual barriers.
The consciousness becomes pure light, as the spirit uses energy as the carrier.

The realm in which the spirit resides, we simply do not know.
because where the spirit travels, the body cannot go.

So if someone in your family dies.
Understand the path they take....
Just because their eyes are closed,
doesn't mean they aren't awake!

Tom

Tom, he was a soldier and a fighter.
No man could be more bold,
Than Tom, our beloved brother.
A stubborn man, but a heart of gold.
A trader who knew how to deal;
He could get a diamond from an orange peel.

But Tom walked on the road of sin,
And knew nothing but trouble till Mercy walked in.
His expression turned from frown to smile,
As his name was put in the Lamb's book file.
He changed from a sinful wretch
To the Fisher of Man's greatest catch.

Loving father and caring brother,
There is no man any kinder.
With his old harmonica he expressed
His faith as he continually pressed,
Pressed toward the mark of a better Christian,
For this in eternity he shall have his mansion.

Along life's road he did ride,
'Till, Death, Sin's servant said,
"No more on earth will you reside."
Then took his life and left his body on his bed.
As Tom passed on, the angel Gabriel did take his hand
To lead him up to eternity's promised land.

Along the path to eternity,
They passed those fools so poor and weary;
Those fools who in life thought,
That there placement in Heaven could be bought.
But they did not stop, but continued with great speed,
As if they road upon a great white steed.

As they went through earth's atmosphere,
Visions like dreams began to appear.
They flew by visions as they did go,
Where Christ on Calvary His love did show
Upon that tree of sin and grief,
That we from sin might find relief.

As they reached that jasper wall,
Those pearly gates so grand and tall;
They did swing, swing open wide
To reveal the place where he will abide.
They went down the streets of gold.
Truths to his questions start to unfold.

As they approached God's throne so grand,
He recognizes Christ by his scarred hand
Sitting in his right hand position.
God points to Tom's house with a finger of light.
When Tom saw his mansion
He said, "Dad burn, this sucker 's a sight."

One Last Breath

When you truly know that life is worth living
When you truly feel that love is for giving
To die is a beautiful thing.

When you truly feel that hate is forbidden
When you truly know that death is worth heeding
To try is a beautiful thing.

Fate then becomes no more than a brief sweet moment,
Hanging upon anyone’s stiffened husky throat,
Waiting for our merciful God’s healing,
To release it in:
One
Last
Breath.

A Boy Brushed Red

Slamming the door behind him
He sits
Writing his poems upon his wall
Tiny powerful words surrounding each inch of the room
Writing them in black inch
He watches as it drips to the carpet
He smiles
Wiping the blood of his face
Putting his hands to the wall
Bloody hand prints surround each poem
Dying alone on the floor
Surrounded in his blood and filth
The poems wash off from the walls
Black ink forming together on the carpet
Blood mixes with the ink
The horrific smell fills the lungs of the ones downstairs
He sinks into the carpet
His flesh swallowed up by his words
He isn't living anymore
But he rubs off on you by his poems

I'm All Around

Hear songs of joy and love I sing,
when birds abound in early spring.

See me dancing bold and free,
 when whirlwinds carry fallen leaves.

Know my kiss from heaven's keep,
When gentle breezes caress your cheek.

Feel the warmth of my embrace,
when sun rays shine upon your face.

My soul no longer body bound,
for now; I'm love..... I'm all around.

The lines connecting, one through five,
Should make my dead friends come alive

The Last Hour of the Christ

I wear the crown of hatred
misunderstanding and despair upon my hair
upon my back a wooden cross I bare
I know not why I’m hated so
all the people seemed to love me just a week ago

my skin is cut from head to toe
from whips of leather by men who wish to see me die
I spoke the truth for all the people to understand
my words of truth where words to set man free
from degradation hate and hell to live in harmony
for the rest of history

I cured the sick and healed the blind
with the touch of my own hand
I’ve walked on water and walked on sand
to preach and bring my truth through out the land

people came from all around
and would sit for hours upon the ground
I once had twelve good men who followed me around
now there’s only eleven one man let me down

my words have been mistaken
my God he has forsaken
for that my life they’re taken
I believe that I have failed
as my hands and feet are nailed upon this wooden cross
as they raise me in the air
all their sins I know I must bare

I want to scream not fair not fair
I’m just a young man I only wanted to teach
there are so many more people that I wanted to reach
my age is only thirty three
I pray my God
that they the people will remember me

written by Dennis H. Davis
This poem was written from the human aspect of Jesus Christ. I wrote this poem with no effort what so ever it was as though it was being told to me. I watched my hand move across the page with a purpose a message I believe Jesus wanted this poem written.

Hidden

The innocent child still crying,
That you nailed up on your wall,
Her tears are freely flowing,
As the autumn leaves do fall.
The wind of time still blowing,
Across the lonely way,
As the soldiers march to battle,
On this bright and sunny day.
I couldn't get the words,
To leave my knotted throat,
I couldn't get my loved ones,
To leave the sinking boat.
I couldn't think the thoughts,
That could protect me from the light,
Couldn't see your beauty,
Hidden in my night.

And now the end is coming,
Riding on the wind,
To blow away illusions,
To blow up everything.

The riders horse is thunder,
The swords are flashing high,
As the angels of destruction
Fall from the darken sky.

A million times I told you,
Whispered in your ear,
A million blessing hidden,
Behind the demons of your fears.

The innocent lamb is bleeding,
As the lightening flashes by,
The autumn leaves still falling,
From the sadness in your eye.

Unnamed

Plugs you into my world
Turns my eyes
Looking into my skull
Staring at my brain
Hoping to see what comes next
Takes my heart and rips it out
Dying alittle more
Shoots my gut
And places my brain where my gut once lived
Takes my fingers and pushes them into my hand
So i just have nubs
Takes my head and crushes it
Little peices falling
Bleeding unto the ground
Dying alittle more
The unnamed feeling
Comes alive
Then it takes me away
Taking the chill off my life

Even Eternity Is Fleeting

Fleeting life may be in this earthly reality.
Death: our destined entrance into eternity.
Even death is fleeting, just as our sleep.

Eternal life, a promise we believe in and keep.
Reincarnation: our destined and karmic infinity.
Even eternity is fleeting, just as our lives.

Illusionary death may be in this third-dimensional reality.
Life: our destined world for evolving spiritually.
Even life is fleeting, just as our illusions hold meaning.

Cleanse This House

God grant me
The ability to have peace
In this house
From the decease
Banish them all
For the rest of their days
So I don't have to suffer
From their evil ways
I know I cant see em
But I know their there
Cause i can feel their presence
In the still frigid air
They seem to match me
Step for step
Though I cant seem them
I feel their breath on my neck
In the midst of the dark
As i drift off to dream
I'm startled stiff from the sound
Of demons when they scream
I sit straight up
And am frozen in place
I try to cover up
As i wipe the sweat from my face
Hear my cries oh lord
Our god of mercy
Protect this house and my soul
From that which that which tries to
hurt me
Come into this house
And stake your claim
Evil and demons be gone
Hallowed be thy name

Sin Always Has A Price

As people are encouraged to “indulge within...”
They often become caught and trapped in sin!

Far too often, there’s an enticement to “fantasize.”
Of the many temptations flashed before the eyes!

There’s a problem, too often misunderstood!
Life doesn’t happen, like many think it should!

What’s often acted out and too often displayed…
Comes from a ruined life, that’s been betrayed!

One can easily find perversion of many kinds.
This can easily “overwhelm” someone’s mind!

I know that it’s easy to be “trapped and snared.”
It can leave one feeling
alone and scared!

That which you may have craved,
 for some kind of fulfillment.
Has left you empty! With no real enjoyment!

It’s easy to fall into bondage! Difficult to get out!
Victory in Jesus is what his power is all about!

Won’t you call on him now?
And let his love “soak through?”
He brings true meaning in the words; “I LOVE YOU!”

His love is not in some kind of cheap entertainment!
Only he can bring true peace and contentment!

You don’t need to spend money on the life he brings!
He is God! And doesn’t need to use earthly things!

Sin has a price! It seeks to have your eternal soul!
Only the blood of Jesus can make you complete and whole!

The gift of salvation is from Jesus! And is freely given!
He alone has the power to change
 how you’re livin’!

Dunnages creaked

For one odd week we sailed towards Azores,
a strange route was on new, parallel lines,
I heard your hoarse voice saying from the brines,
"be careful of the Southern stars".

Three winds' gust-demons danced on iron wood,
foolishly we joined them drinking the grog,
I heard your voice from the insides of fog,
"north stormy winds thump on the hood".

We danced and danced with death tracking on sight,
his ghostly vessel floated in distance,
we laughed at his macabre contrivance,
- with illuminated deck's lights.

Dunnages creaked, and then I swear, I heard
your eerie voice to express a verdict,
"the vessel's crew should depart derelict,
- embark in boats and be deferred."

I heard the reef rock shattering the bilge,
the vessel heeled to starboard, cut across,
destined to lie on sand and seaweed moss.
with our souls close to her effulge.

We passed that night above our homes' roadsted,
dancing and drinking through our way to hell,
you heard our fog horn weeping and bow bell,
signal from mists that we were dead?

As ye watch me die,
Refuse thy urge to cry.

Refuse thy need to grieve.

Refuse thy desire to quit.
As ye see me ascend,
Refuse thy life’s own end.

Beloved Friend I Have Fallen

An angel, cradles me, in her motherly arms
I have fallen, I am venerable
I told myself, I would not do this, no more
I have failed to keep my promise, to you
I have not stayed true
Tears flowing, as I smile, just, for you!
Remembering the times, when you cupped my face, in your hands
Your blue eyes, gazing into mine
Telling me with sincerity
‘I am the sunshine, that lights up your world, each day that dawns’
My heart aches, it rains with love, having fond memories of us
Wash me clean, being human, is challenging me!
Emotional bondage, creating blocks
I need to move on, you are dead and buried
Your time here, over
My heart struggling, accepting this reality
“Forgive me”
I pray to be free!
“I Love you, my beloved, friend”

MLK...
(January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968)

they shot you down
all those years ago

but

your dream lives on
and always will

for though much has been
gained since you dreamed
your dream

there is much to fight for
and much more to struggle for

and much, much more
to fight for still

so
your dream resounds in
our hearts and we pledge
this to you today
for though they shot you down
all those years ago on a memphis day
we shall overcome
this we do believe
deep in our hearts
that
we shall overcome
someday...

Still

Haven’t they seen where time stands still and the sun kisses the morning sky
Running free from the break of day, laughter echoing for miles
Oh yes, it was easier then, when we were only 10
Spirit alive with tomorrows promise and innocence
Watching sunsets disappear and then soon came the years

Innocence, memories from an easier time
Beauty fades, but not for you, I can see through
The soul never weathered and aged like your skin
Spirit worn from facing each day without hope
The soul renewed, found peace, stayed true

Honesty is living life through your soul.
Life is more than meets the eye.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
And eyes are the gateway to the soul.

Souls which have no color decend unharmed
Reality unmasked, the soul of compassion and forgiveness
Teach the young that they possess a power
To love each other past our cover.

When time is gone, the soul remains as the body decays
Before the end, slow down, enjoy the still
Give your soul to another who truly sees you
Taking only what you need to see truth
Be still and listen to what remains unspoken

A Hundred Years

These superficial lives we lead,
are they really worth the cost?
Like a charging stallion-steed,
we're strong and proud... but lost.
The things today we hold in hand,
are temporary treasures,
but effort spent to feed your soul
will surely last forever....
If you could know the day you'll die,
would you let time just idle by?
Or would you try to bend the course of fate,
to make that final ending late?
So this question might be asked,
when you're finished with this lifelong task.
Of all the laughter, sweat and tears...
Will it matter in a hundred years?

Time

The world consumes everything
What I love, what I hate
What I am, will be, and have been
This paper, and these thoughts
It will all eventually sink into the
ever present swallow of death
The loudest of all Earthly echo
is legacy; What a man leaves behind
How he is remembered
The color that was seen
in his embroidered vision
The forgiveness of his touch
and the sincerity of his pulse
This is the soul of a man
The only impervious song
that can be strummed by flesh
unhindered by the blows of time

Creation, Curse and Promise

Since eternity past God the Father Son & Holy Spirit dwelled in unity and sweet fellowship.
Then Three-In-One decided to make a marvelous universe with an earth for life to dwell.
Creating an amazing array of creatures was the easy part – the risk was on the last made.
For unlike other creatures, man & woman were made in God's likeness with a Spirit.

That Spirit communicated with God, and harmony reigned as earth was well cared for.
Freedom to do was great – limited by but one tree that the humans were not to ear from.
At that tree, Satan disguised himself as an innocent snake and asked the woman questions.
Did God really say don't eat from this tree? Well, that's to keep you from becoming like Him.

Look its fruit is beautiful and one bite and you'll know what God does and be Jehovah's equal.
Eve was confused, for this didn't sound like what Adam said God told her, but wouldn't it be grand.
If God is so good, why would he keep this secret from us of being able to be like Him – is He jealous?
The firm, juicy fruit was indeed delicious, and she quickly called Adam to taste, which soon he did.

A small act? Every war, family problem, anger, hatred, lie, killing, stealing, rape, abuse came herefrom.
The beauty of God's creation was now marred with sin that affected every part with death and decay.
God graciously gave Adam & Eve animal skins for no longer would they live in Eden's perfect climate.
From now on there would be sweat for the food they ate and exceedingly great pain during childbirth.
Even their firstborn would murder their second, starting the cycle of revenge and killing that's ongoing.

Yet God also made a promise that one would come who would crush Satan's head while being bruised.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God" clues us in to who.
For God's Son Himself would come to teach, heal and offer His life on a Cross to destroy our death curse.
Our sins He would bear and in rising He's seal the promise of eternal life, so great we Jesus' love for us.

For Jesus the cost was unbelievably high, and for us the reward is incredibly great – if we but accept.
Accept that I am a sinner, I've done wrong and need God's forgiveness to live with His perfection.
Accept that Jesus can do what I cannot – change my heart, make my Spirit alive to forever live with God.
This being GOD, the promise of heaven and new earth is sure, though pain lies in between. Choose now.

For GOD and all creation cry out – this is what life is meant for – to know and love One's Maker.
As humans we live eternally with or apart from God, and His great desire is that we choose with.
But just as an earthly Father cannot force true love, nor does our Heavenly Father – He waits.
Though He made all and knows beginning from end, he waits and yearns that we receive His love.

Then love and be loved by Jesus in life's harshness & delight, sharing that love with other lost children
To work in harmony with the One who made us, makes life new again as our spirit is filled with new life.
There can be dry days when we don't feel His presence, and others so full that we want to shout for joy.
The fact is Our Father GOD, our Savior Jesus, the Holy Spirit, are always with us and never will leave us. Amen.

Freedom

If words could but convey, my heart's resounding vibe,
My eyes would surely melt, in a sea of everlasting space.
Delight would set me free, from the tyrant of the waves.
The wind, no more would push and shove my soul,
As an apple bobbing to and fro,
In attempt to dance upon the surface.
I would be a ballerina, twirling about the frothy shores,
Hands above the head in an eloquent circle.
I would fly across the sparkling skies of awe and mirth,
Cascading droplets from the blue below on lover's lips.
And I would laugh, almost in a fit of madness, at the radiant light that is the sun,
That great beam of ethereal splendor, so beauteous and beyond my wildest reach,
As my fingers graze the tips of its rays,
Until my spirit, a captive not to be made upon the earth as its bodily brethren,
Elevates to burst into that wondrous orb and flick across the skies a thousand shards of flame.

At the Pawnshop

I walk in, It almost feels cold
Letting go to all the unknown
That ring you got me a promise we didn’t keep
a frame of a picture of us
You didn’t stay out long enough for me to need
The key to the house
That we couldn’t afford to love
And here are my mom tears that I couldn’t afford to give up
Then last are the broken promise that were made to keep
I lost a friend, a dad, a house, and maybe me
But you can have it all whatever you need
I’m looking for something that was taken from us
Please pawnshop I’m begging it’s a must
He is ours for us to keep…tell God he belongs to me
He’s too young to be up there
Please …just tell me if you find him anywhere

I Want to Be Where Jesus Is

I Want to Be Where Jesus Is!

Where Jesus is,
I want to be with him
I’ll honor HIM because
I love him!

Into his direction
 I shall go…
His word in my life,
 I must daily know.

What he says to me,
 I must carefully listen,
His will for my life,
I don’t want to be missin’.

His love for me…
I want to receive,
His abundant life is what
 I aim to achieve.

Thank you Jesus for
helping me to see…
I need much more of you,
and a lot less of me!

Canvas

Walking up the stairs
She lays on the floor
He runs
Holding her cold body in his arms
He lets a tear fall from his eye
Dragging her down the stairs and into the cellar
He lays her on the canvas they painted on the floor
He spreads her arms and legs out
Pointing them the direction of North, South, West and East
He places four candles around the circle
Lighting them with his lighter
He sits and watches as he pours the hot wax on her face
He cuts around her eyes, slowly taking her eyes out
Gluing her eye lids shut covering them with the wax once again
He cuts her up in pieces
Scattering her in art forms
Admiring her beauty
He places her eyes in a glass jar
Wrapping her hands around a picture frame
He places her face on his ... as a mask
Gluing her face unto his
He lays on the canvas that is now covered in blood
He moves around
His clothes covered in her blood
He watches through her eyes
The world she once saw
He places her face back on the canvas
He shuts off all the lights and walks up the stairs
Looking in the bathroom he saw the drug she has been taking
He cuts it up and sniffs it
He lays on the floor shaking
Crawling down the stairs to the cellar door
Trying to move but he cant move any further
His heart stops beating but hes still alive
The minute he had left
He opened the door
And rolled down the cellar stairs
Landing on the canvas
His face next to hers

"How its hurts now that your gone
Its so wrong"

Reunion

Eyes grow weary, have they learned to see
During years of absence, you from me
Your story's at end, your chosen plot
Time draws near, but you may know not

Shall I see my mother, perhaps my dad
Ever watchful, my being glowing so glad
It is time, I wait with mounting joy
For them once again to be girl or boy

That which was separate, will now be one
Your chosen tasks are nearly done
At the entrance, there I stand
Reunion time is close at hand

From the palm of His hand I've watched you grow
Seeds of goodness, We watched you sow
Come be with me and share His land
I await the touch of your sweet hand

I fault you not, as you can see
I love you so, come be with me
So hasten forth, with lifted heart
No longer more shall we be apart

These words I write, so dear to me
Express my desire that you'll be free
If the gate be locked, search for the key
But look not far, in your heart it will be.

Gone

I do not believe there is life after death
Taking into consideration my late brothers death
From home, he was not very far
When his life was taken, poof, by a car
So if he sits upon a cloud
Then I say this, I say it loud
As much as he knew his mother's love
Then he would contact, from up above
For just one sign for his mother's relief
He would have sent, that is my belief
The death of her son was the death of her soul
She very quickly spiralled into a dark hole
Very soon she passed away
Perhaps in some kind of way
She left the whole to be with one
Some one she loved, someone, her son
There has never been evidence of contact from the late
They are gone forever and that is their fate
One tiny word to say you were fine
But saying and doing is a very fine line.

Yet Another Reflection

I rend asunder and
Crumble into dust
Before my very eyes.

No answers forthcoming
To my many questions,
Most important, "Why?"

"A fool are you,"
I stand thinking.
"There is no disguise."

To worry so about
What matters not
In the by and by.

Trials have strengthened.
Sorrows kept me human.
No point to analyze.

"Life is for living,"
An ultimate truth
I finally realized.

Sooner than later
Might have been better,
Had only I been wise.

I rend asunder and
Crumble into dust....
A twinkle in my eye.

Three Hebrew Men Were Thrown Into the Fire

There were three Hebrew men with one desire.
They served the true God! And were cast into the fire!

King Nebuchadnezzar ordered them to bow to a false idol.
But they made up their minds
to serve the God of the Bible!

He ordered them thrown into the furnace so hot!
But there was a lesson here, that was to be taught!

As he looked in… He couldn’t believe
what he saw!
He had seen the living son of God, after all!

At this sight, his words broke and his body trembled!
The Hebrews were unharmed!
No matter how hot the fire was kindled!

He called them out, yelling for them one by one.
He knew they had a visit from God’s holy son!

He looked! And their bodies weren’t even burned!
They trusted their God! And had no reason for concern!

This same God who rescued the three Hebrew men…
Is the same God who can rescue you from sin!

Though the “fires of life, may be “hot and burning.”
It’s in the direction of God…
That you need to be turning!

The living son of God would like to visit you today!
Won’t you listen to the words of life, he has to say?

He is the true God! The king of kings is he!
And invites you to be with him! For all eternity!

Goosebumps

I stayed there, for too long
in the cruel arms of a sunset
that had forgotten I was there.
Its wink slowly cast an itchy
blanket over the hope I had found
in blue skies; My skin reached upward,
blistered by the groan of mortality’s tick.
There is little time to waste.
The turn, once again left me in the dark,
grappling with solitude among the masses.
And so I waited for starlight’s touch to
calm the sandstorm in my bones.
Waited for the battle between light
and dark, so I could paint my eyes
with the blood of a new vision
for tomorrow and be ready to perceive
everything that I had once, let slip away.

Last Prayer

Last Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep
Medication Russian Roulette
Praying to the lord my soul he shall keep
Please God don’t let me awake
I yearn to embark on this slumber
A slumber which knows no end
Closing my eyes; never to open again
The one thing I ask dear Lord
May my loved ones never weep
For embarking on my eternal sleep

INDIAH

Indiah...

Your smile is like a thousand rainbows,
Your little face so soft and pure.

Your hand so small when you held mine,
Your beautiful spirit so divine.

Your gift of love and joy began,
The day you came to us with your master plan.

You sparkled like the stars in the sky at night,
Your eyes were the window that held the moon so bright.

I wish you could have stayed so that I could have seen how you had grown,
I had so many plans for you but you had plans of your own.

Only a beautiful sunset could describe how you left,
Disappearing behind the earth to a place for you to rest.

We all will be with you one day in that land,
Where the space in our hearts will be filled up again.

So I'll wait on this earth and live and learn all that I can,
Because resting together is my only plan.

Walk With Me Into The Corn

I heard a haunting ghostly voice
as I lay in my ill sweat soaked convalescent bed say
come walk with me into the corn and into the light

it's now your time to walk with me do not fear
here take my arm I mean you no harm
I cannot reveal what you will see
you must put your trust in me

come walk with me into the corn and into the light
let your field of dreams be realized
discard your fears I will dry your tears
from your long and lonely years
you don't belong here any more

now hold your head up high
sholders back stand up tall
I invite you to walk with me into the corn and into the light
to your destiny a field of dreams
and all your dreams will come true
I promise you

Risen

When I was near death,
Though my mind was unaware,
It was then He had resurrected me.

When I died in another lifetime
Though such memories were soon forgotten,
It was then He gave me a rebirthing.

When I die someday, yet again,
It will be then He reveals all my memories
Which were once many times left behind and forgotten.

Free Fallin'

My desicion was made. I wouldn't allow myself to be controlled. If that makes me a rebel, then let it be. I'm a Rebel. At least I can Make my own choices now. I can love and care about others. "You are here by stripped from your wings." Then it was like someone had bound my wings and pushed me off a cliff. it felt like forever. til finally i reach the ground. When i hit, it felt like everybone in my wings had shattered. I had fallen. and It hurt so bad. but it was worth it.

Death is not the End

The body, in all its wonders and might, is still such a fragile thing.
We mustn't forget the ever impending mortality,
In order to prize each given day.

Likewise, we must not forget the ever present immortality of our true beings.
Our souls, our spirits, are only residential in the vessels of bodies.
The human brain clouds our actualization of supremacy.
It dilutes truth. It is the cause of sadness towards death, pain in temporary loss,
unjust fates of our loved ones.
It is unreasonable.

We must not forget that we are more than memories and emotions,
For, Death is not a sentence, but a cycle of reawakened enlightenment.
Just as life is but a mere drive towards a greater destination-
A stamp upon each being as they ascend into the vast beyonds-
Such is everlasting peace and happiness in knowing that all will rejoice in the union of long lost souls.

2 - Messenger from the Dead

There is no power in death,
great enough to stop youth.
From what must be done,
souls taken one by one.

If God should stand in the way,
clear the path you will go away.
Should I contend with this power,
no choice it is the devils hour.

When the wicked rule in time,
deception reigning of crime.
There will be a stand instead,
where I gather the vengeful dead.

Amongst in Hell that we cower,
our vengeance will grow louder.
Strong enough in legions,
numbers increasing regions.

Then the wicked will fear,
what is about to come near.
No where near closer to home,
inside Hell's nightmarish tomb.

Find Me

We are all made from dust
One day when I die
And my body is burnt to ash,
How will you find me, when my body is no longer there?

How will you know it's me,
If my body is buried deep beneath the ground?
How will you be able to reach me,
To hold me in your arms?

My biggest fear isn't dying,
It's being apart from you.

Mysterious Entry

Crossed by the throne of Heaven, I took myself down to its early night.
The clock was low over the mantle.
I saw it but that twice.
I felt the aching honor crossing, desperate devious plight.
Heartache became the truth of me, and the shadow was a name.
I knew for once, when hollow hills came to call with names, as gray as summer sun and bathing hearts.
I saw forever what was truth and sorrow.
I knew a name, an ancient name.
Dark hearts named him in an age gone arcane.
I saw his face carved from slate and a heart made from stone.

I knew his name, He knew mine the same, but yet did not look twice, that would make ends, but watched from afar and never knew my face, yet he could feel my breath under my voice, and knew me such the same.

Thank You For Hearing Me

Sometimes, alone I leave this place,
My eyes, I travel the darkness.
Time in fluorescence burst about me,
Forward and on, I surge forcefully through.

When asleep I slowly awake
And find myself a long way from here.
Softly, my feet are placed again on land,
To tread where once they roamed free.

Greeted I am by old friends and kin,
Together we feast and then I walk to her.
Beneath the blanket she sews we lie,
Together we are warm and giving once again.

If this be some form of evil trickery,
That takes me there or pulls me away.
I feel useless to resist her power,
Useless yes, but also I find unwilling.

Some say, she was guided by my light,
The light that shined as a child.
That light has dimmed now I am a man,
Yet she is still there in shadows, waiting.

I'm Here

I awoke in heaven this morning
And I wanted you to know
That my passing, my dying
Was just part of life's natural ebb and flow.

There were so many here to greet me
And while I'm missing family and others
I'm surrounded, loved, and cherished
By so many sisters and brothers.

Every moment here is new
There's so much to tell of each day
Living here in His presence
In that love that won't go away.

This is such an exciting journey
As I wait for you to arrive
For the spirit-filled peace and comfort
Gives new life to being alive.

Just as told in time of old
He is my strength, my staff, and rod,
And I'd rather be no other place
Than here in the presence of God.

Jesus Died for Everyone

Jesus Died For Everyone! Jesus died on the cross for you me! So we can be with him throughout eternity. His life for ours… A ransom was paid IN FULL! Through his shed blood, we’re made whole! Upon his head were placed the crown of thorns. Enduring so much ridicule and scorn. The blood from his body as it began to flow. His love for mankind clearly showed! Nails were placed through his feet and hands! The pain he went through, is hard to understand. His life for ours, is what he gave! A way to eternal life, in heaven, has been made! By Jim Pemberton

Until His Unfailing Nail Pierced Hands
From enslavement saved me
Now strongly praised beyond compare

Build in me a house to dwell
With unyielding dedication
Hear my new song
The Joyful shall sing

There Shall Come A Great Tribulation

There Shall Come A Great Tribulation!

You’ll find In the Bible...
In the book of Revelation.
One day... There shall come
 a great tribulation.

There shall be famine and war
this world has never seen.
"Satan's fury" being poured
out upon everything.

The Antichrist will appear
as "the world leader."
"The man with all of the answers."
"A great world healer."

People won't be able to buy or sell
without a mark on their hand.
While corruption and wickedness
prevails throughout the land.

Our only hope and answer during
much chaos and anxiety.
Is Jesus. In HIM we can
have life abundantly!

This world shall one day
perish and pass away.
God's truth and his word are here to stay!

Come to Jesus now...
He invites you to come.
Accept the gift of eternal life
from God's precious son!

He's our only hope in this
 world which we live.
He is so patient and kind...
willing to forgive.

Will your name be in God's
book of life someday?
Are you ready to meet him on judgment day.

This world... or Jesus... the choice
 by you must be made.
The price for your soul...
on Calvary... has been paid!

Another time, another space
How, do I bring you back home?

Just Doing Time

I have faced death many times
How I escaped its grasp
Simply, can't be defined
Someday, I know, it'll be my time
But until then, this fragile this life is mine

I know the clock is ticking
It will, 'till I take my last gasp
But for now, I'll just keep on kicking
And take my licking,
While death keeps pricking

Oh Shadow, I see it in your eyes
You want it to be a big surprise
The day you hold me in your clasp
I will see right through your guise
And find the truth, that hides behind the lies

Last Judgment

Take place at the end of the world
The second coming of Father Christ
“All who are in the tombs will hear His voice and come forth
Those who have done good, the resurrection of life
Those who have done evil, the resurrection of judgment”

Suicide Is Not the Answer

Lately, I have noticed a very disturbing trend.
Many people wish for their life to end!

There are many circumstances
that bring this about.
Many feel "trapped in," and think
"there's no way out!"

I admit,... I have been very
discouraging thoughts.
Sometimes, wondering, if I was dealt
"the wrong lot."

But just when I feel alone
and trapped within.
I think about Jesus! He's always
been my friend!

I've called to him more than a time or two...
When I didn't know
"what I was going to d."

When, to him, I cried out and pleaded...
He's given to me the hope
and direction I needed!

I recommend this same Jesus
to your life today!
Whatever your problem...
He has made a way!

An abundant assurance
Is what Jesusbrings!
He is an awesome God!
And can take care of everything!

Your problems are never too big
or small for him to take control.
He can bring healing to you!
And make your body whole!

He is what's needed! In this lost
and dying generation!
Won't you accept his mercy
and salvation???

Untitled

An object
Forms the marks on my skin
They are permanently engraved
They are part of who I am

Artistic lines
Form my entire shoulder blade
Artistic, natural, and exotic
My ancestor's connected roots reassembled as something symbolic

A hummingbird
Forms a single warrior in the Aztec parade
My blood that runs through my veins now enhances color to the hummingbird's brain

A flower
Forms conflict between beauty and mass destruction
The flower wars was what my ancestors called it
They fought for what they thought was right
Believing in their gods and believing in their king with all their might

An object
To whomever else that sees it
To me
A rare and unique piece of history through a line of blood's memories

Very Soon I'll Be WITH JESUS

Very Soon, I’ll Be With Jesus! I know my life on earth shall one day end… This body will turn back into dust again. I hope that in my life’s remaining days… I’ll be careful to give God glory and praise! I hope that with the opportunities given… I’ll walk in the joy of my sins being forgiven! I’m thankful that Jesus has shown to me… How much he really cares and loves me! If not for Jesus… Where I would be? He offered his body as a sacrifice for me! Because of what he’s done, I’m living today! He’ll be with me! Till the end of the way! When my life closes, and a new life begins… I’ll be with my savior, lord and friend! Thank you Jesus! As a new day starts! You’ve brought love and joy to my heart! By Jim Pemberton

Bury Me at Sea

When my time passes
And there’s no breath left in me,
Take my ashes to the oceans
And set my spirit free.
There I can rejoin my friends
There I will not be alone.
There I can make my amends
There I won’t be unknown.

Far too much blood spilled onto this planet
Makes its way to the sea.
The raining of blood by droplet
Rejoining there finally.

Don’t leave me in the cold, cold ground.
No – No imprisoned tomb for me.
Let the waves be my stone bound
An anxious tide, my cemetery.

There I can float on endless waves
A moving monument to see.
And if you leave a tear on my grave
I can float it away with me…

Why Do We Take Christ Out of Christmas

Why Do We Take Christ Out of Christmas? Christmas is the only holiday we often don’t call by name. We often forget about the true reason that Christ came. It’s the only holiday that we often call “a holiday.” It’s true meaning, is often, taken away! It’s more than the tree and all of the glittering lights… It’s time to think about the Bethlehem star so bright! It’s more than going shopping at the malls… More than, “Jingle Bells,” or “Deck the Halls!” It’s more than seeing how many people we can buy for. Or that clearance sale, you’re willing “to die for!” It’s more than buying the “newest in entertainment.” Or receiving a gift that may “cause an embarrassment.” Beyond all of the presents and all we truly believe in. Let’s all come to Christ Jesus and receive him! Let’s think about his birth, and his death on the cross! Without HIM… The true meaning of Christmas is lost! He brings the hope, joy and cheer that’s needed! Won’t you listen to his voice? That often goes unheeded? Christ is what’s important! And shouldn’t be left out! He’s what matters! And is what Christmas is all about! Let’s be joyful! It was for all of us that he came! And take this time to bring honor and glory to his name! By Jim Pemberton

To heaven's gates, or fires below, Should you divulge our destination?" Yet, he looked on;- gaunt presentation— “...Come to me.” † ~*~ May I offer you some wine? perhaps, if you just took some time, You'll see, I do not wish to go. He smiled at me, and said... “I know” “...Come to me.” † ~*~ Wretched creature, scourge of nations You wrest me to your lost damnation Can I not reason with you a bit- Please, sir! There, do come and sit— “...Come to me.” † ~*~ "Away, I cried, you demon's seed I bear no illness, I have no need to follow you, please I implore Away! Away," come back no more..." yet, He went on, much as before— "...Come to me." † ~*~ "I must stay here, my work's not done! The battle wages, the war's, undone, 'Tis my fight not worth completing?" If one day

If one day my God will call me
To go and be there at His side
I really do not want to leave you
But with Him I must abide

The soul by fire must be tempered
Hence we come to walk on earth
To suffer trials and tribulations
So our Lord will know our worth

Few of us will ever make it
Through the tests we face in life
Many will the fight relinquish
Favouring the rope or the knife

Others turn to drugs to blot out
The drudgery of daily dread
Hoping in their hazy mind set
A better life to find instead

But alas this is a pipe dream
We must follow a cleaner track
Ask our Lord for His forgiveness
And plead with Him to have us back

Then our soul will fly to Heaven
Passing others on the way
Who have yet to face the trials
Of yet another sin filled day

Church Bells

Those church bells welcomed her into this world
And there she was her mother at her side
With holy waters into life was hurled
This angel proved to be her father’s pride

Those church bells welcomed her into this world
And there she was her mother at her side
As laces of her wedding dress unfurled
She starts a journey husband at her side

Those church bells welcomed her into this world
And there she was her mother at her side
Inside a coffin now her body curled
For days the people came and stared and cried

Those church bells welcomed her into this world
And there she was her mother at her side
It was the day when all of heaven twirled
It was the day her mother gently died

I Still Can Hear

I am surrounded by family, surrounded by love
all awaiting for me, that call from above

as the pauses get much longer and the beats further apart
tears are shed and fears a dread as he slowly takes my heart

but I want you all to know, even through the sobs and tears
my soul still hears each word you say and I hear you love shout, loud and clear

though you see an empty shell of what used to be a man
I can hear you all, feel your tears drop on my hand

I can

I can hear your wishes and I can hear all your regrets
but let go of all those feelings, cause I am in all of your debts

for not everyone's as lucky, to feel so much love as they die
some have no one there at all, some have no one there to cry

when my soul leaves my body, know that I am feeling blessed
because I have all of your love here to lay me down to rest.

Resurrection Changes Things

What once required the sacrifice,
That bloody gift of death and gore,
Of animal life to pay for sin
Is left behind and is no more.
Resurrection changes things.

Jesus Christ obeyed the Father,
Sacrificed Himself on the cross,
Evened up those holy books
That list our profit and our loss.
Resurrection changes things.

Where once we followed our understanding
And made our own decisions,
Now belonging to Jesus Christ
Our life is one of holy revisions.
Resurrection changes things.

When we're united with Jesus Christ
We're a new creature in the Son;
Our old way of life hangs dead on the cross
And life everlasting is now begun!
Resurrection changes things.

No prison doors can hold our soul.
Christ sets our spirit free
And fills our life with love and hope
That rings our world in victory.
Resurrection changes things.

So tell someone in the pain of their life
Of the freedom Jesus brings,
That sets us apart from sin and death;
How the soul that's set free sings!
Tell them: Resurrection changes things.

Thoughts of love and lovers loved and lost
Thoughts of smiles created and eyes elated
Thoughts of fear fading, consciousness abating
Kinetic stardust to history’s whispers
Eyes closing, going home

Blood Words, Legends of the Wolves

Yea, victors jest. They out-sped the cast of hunger’s cave. Their cantors, ragged kept, did reach an faithful end. They in the din o’ drizzle laugh, licking cool drams from stone, as had they crawled o’er hot pools bled to prod ‘n prattle. And who’d, when quenched, a saunter risk simply to gaze at greener gray, who if by haze be fraught, need merely fathom sky? Lest be displeasured he to whom above could clouds be prone to tattle, go but shy requests, voiced dryly into azure. For so the victims passed, betrayed by breeze and snitch of brush, though Him on High, with just demand, they had beseeched. Each life a tale brought to lie, defaced, in scattered, muddy tomes. Torn is the silver lace, which once linked bone to bone. Yet risen, too, had wanton sighs, whereof his Mightiest to ask, whilst the ground, as should it care, received the rasps. For what doth emptiness command and what the unseen sovereign willeth are left matters later glibly to be bantered. Know oft’ the hunt finds one befuddled, spelled by guiles of a wraith. No taunt of tail waves, no wake of twig gives sway. With head to hang, his rack he gathers in a push to halt to stand bequeathed a chide of birds and chipmunk heckles. There, the timber rout delays with naught but mettle left to drain, as the mars of rock and thistle mark the wait. Chafe of paw, tongue feathered fowl, the foiled dashes stream to words, whereto the blood, in ruddy tones, by droplets trickles.

Utterance of knowledge

Discerning evening shadows following our every step
Reluctant to the images that are not seen.

I feel thy presence, I feel thy spirit.
How can we doubt we are alone?

A presence not touched,
A presence now felt.

Standing on the edge of realism or fantasy you ask?
To hard to conclude.

The act of paying it forward, Shall be its own reward.
Lets presume this debt shall be paid in full.

Forgot to Run

Lost and never found
She lays there beaten and bound
Tears are long dried
Rejected and denied
Her heart damned to hell
Her screams silent as well
Abandoned
Left alone
Bleeding out
Her helpless soul
Lost all breath to scream
Silent without a need
Growing cold with every breath
Losing sight
Its time for death
Gave up
Lost her way
Her thoughts
They never stay
Now cold
Frozen and numb
Growing old
Time has come
Mind fading
Forgot to run.....

The Final Day for Me

My last morn I awake
this being my final day
never again on this earth
will I see things this way

What should I want to do?
to leave my mark upon it
that my life is worthwhile
before I finally quit

This makes you think a lot
if everything you will miss
there's so much you could say
from your taste to that final kiss

As I spend time thinking
the awaiting darkness gets near
prepare for that ultimate moment
even when it causes a tear

God has promised to be near
to those who trust and obey
so no matter our life's end
Jesus takes me home today

Free Hand

Ghost hums, his sweet little lullaby
Lulls her to sleep
Even when she is black and brown
Sore from being beat
He wipes away those spent tears
As she shakes late at night
Her fear feeds his sorrow
As he holds her tight
Screaming and fighting
Trying to escape
Hangs his head, not wanting to watch
For he already knows her fate
Dried blood on her cheek
Fresh pain in her eyes
Soon she will not fear at all
For soon she will have died
Moon shines on her face
Pleading to be free
He kisses her lips softly For soon she will be with he
The dark night has come
Her screams is what he'll hum
It will take only moments
For her life to come undone
Time slowly comes
Whimpering on the floor she lays
Covered in her blood
Her nightmares come out to play
He holds her hands
Which are slowly growing cold
And he smiles at her, letting her know
That when her life drains out
It is a free hand he will hold......

Because He Told Me So

 Because He Told me So

I Danced with Demons and Devils
And Sipped the Wine of Death.
Everything Was Falling Apart
Sinking down with Every Breath.

To Go on That Way Was Folly,
So I Would Take My Life.
I Gave No Thought to Family,
Or What Would Become of My Wife.

I Raised the Gleaming Knife
And Aimed it at My Breast.
Tonight I'd Find Some Peace
And at Last I Would Rest

But Something Stayed My Hand
And I Could Not Stab it In.
Try as I Might I Couldn't Move...
I Could Not See My End.

Then a Voice Soft and Low
Said," You've Better Things to Do
Then Dance with Demons and Devils..
Don’t You Know I Love You Too?

That's the Night I Learned
I Wouldn't Have to Go
Jesus Really Loves Me..
Because He Told Me So.

The demons and devils are gone now
Replaced by God’s glorious light
I have a beautiful new love in my heart
And the dawning of each new day …….
                                         is a wonderful delight

Fate

Venom laced words
Is all the world
Feeds the weak
But I can taste the brutal decay
Of all the slain souls
Now buried in the deep
Look through the eyes of the Taken
You will see this tainted world
You will see you’re mistaken
Those are not happy tears
They are laced with blood
No one feels a thing
They have all gone cold
And gone numb
You feast your eyes
On a beautiful Shamrock Shore
But instead I see waves of black
Swimming along are the snakes of wrath
Those sweet little lullabies
Causing you to sleep
They wake up the Demons
You are their feast
When will you stop?
Looking through the eyes of faith
Take a look through my eyes and see
Those born of innocence...
Their true damned Fate

Rise From The River

I saw you floating on the riverbed,
Your hair rested unguided in the shadows.
Gently you rose, a full glimmer of risen beauty,
As you were, natural, content and giving.

To me, slowly you wade through the river,
The water breaking in silver at your knees.
Yet on you tread over time weathered stone,
Waiting I stand, a stray tear for beauty.

Nothing to compare and nothing to hide,
You climb the sandy bank, a gentle offering.
Until in the grass you are standing,
A million eyes of light reflect through your smile.

I have waited for you, now you have come,
No search is ever fruitless, no matter goal.
For an empty hand is never less than an empty hand,
A cold shiver, a sneak view of vulnerability.

When to the water you return as one day you will,
By the river I will stand until the day I fall.
Then into the ground my body will be given,
Until the river reaches my grave and carries me away.

From the river we will then rise together,
Hand in hand, the stones trampled underfoot.
The land will be ours to inherit,
Until the day the wind carries our spirits away.

The Visit

11:21 PM 9/27/01 The Visit

I sit in splendor amongst the sun
Of an afternoon sky

Surrounded
I look below to see the stones
Skyward proud they stand

Some I know, most imagined
All the quieter now

Deer travel the fringes here
Off to the East a bit
Never to offend these resting souls
Passersby in life

In a moment of silence I sit......
Remembering
How precious life can be

How voices no longer heard
Can resound within the soul
Lighten the sky in brilliance
Form clouds in shapes of love

Me in the afternoon sun
And you in my beating heart

A reflection of the day

Locked Inside

My soul is like a jolt of caffeine

 jumping in my veins,

a live force wrapped up in chains,

a wild horse locked in a stall,

autumn's last leaf, resisting its fall,

a mystical entity fighting to be free

from this dying body that hides the real me.

From Rain Towards The End

Rain is previous rain can be pain,
Types of rain can differ: to regain a steady brain- fed up, peaceful rain.
To forget -rain of regret, hurt.
To admire happiness -rain of smiling tears.
But ... who knows if the rain isn't the pain that has been cried by our
Past earth parsonages, residents.
They are all one clan now.
Now all together as relatives of same physical state.
Soon sent down as tests each individual receives a challenge
On how they will conduct themselves in certain state.
Puts that soul to the trail.
See the righteousness, trustworthiness.
Nobility of spirit and honour keep of faith
Treating of others,
Amount of sins committed.
If deserves to be forgiven.
Forgiveness valued down on the way, through life on earth.
Down on soul the almighty sights... at all nights, events and hides.
Paramount stare has a great disguise.
Watched is everybody - How they manage the ticks on a little watch within their reach.
No one can run away it’s a closed circumference- therefore believe it’s not a coincidence.
Be open to life and make sure you have a hearty, generous and unselfish personality.
Make sure you live it with dignity.
Enjoy every day as much as you can.
As someday it’s going to be the end.

MONTGOMERY

Repetition is the father of learning,
an endless corridor of
narrow stairs;
anger blossoms self-discovery.
Tickling ivories and black keys,
tickles the soul into musical
paramount--
retrograded toward amnesia,
feels no more;
striking chords on a harp
in an angelic paradise.

Shadows Beneath Me

                                     A spirit appears at night,
                                       showing its cold eyes,
simply glaring at it in fright,
                                    a memory I couldn't erase,
for that spirit had my face.

                                      With its red eyes glows,
                                  it disappears from the shadows,
even when I was walking at night,
                                     no man, woman or child,
but feel that same presence behind me,
but there was no one in sight.

even though I continue to walk,
I can feel a cold chill beneath my feet,
that spirit only appears in the shadows,
not a speck of moonlight or a single spark,
enjoying itself hiding in the dark.

                                    it rises beneath the ground,
                                       showing its ugly frown,
with its eyes looking dead at me,
                                        beware the shadows,
                                    for it's never been foreseen,
                                       beware in the night,
                                      because it's Halloween.

Perfect Canvas of Demise

A canvas smile of beauty
Prescience of delicate ease
What disruption could have done this?
Brought her to her knees
Once so strong
With Medusa's wrath
Now a frail Villa
Forgotten how to sing the song of the past
Losing a hold of time
Becoming lost in the marsh
Rejecting the light
Now resting in the dark
What happened to her soul?
Her aura of shimmering might
Now hidden behind retched scars
What made her loath her life?
She has grown mute
Hiding her precious voice, so sweet
Resigning in the company of the Dead
What made her give in to defeat?
It was he, the ghost of love
The reaper of the soul
He drank her tears
And he tore at her heart
Weaker now she slowly grows
On her knees she pleads
She could have wished for her life away
But instead she wished for a night of peace
In the darkness she still bleeds
Dreaming of her dying day

The Nothing

The old man stoop atop the hill
The calm, gentle breeze brushing against his face
And through the wind there came a whisper
That seemed to come from another place
Then all was silent once again
As the old man, desolate, alone,
Gazed upon the icy stone
That did mark his future home
(The last one he would ever own).
Upon the steeple to the west an owl screeched
It's cry of despair echoed through the far and distant hills
And the old man winced in pain as a whispy limb grew near
And touched him, ever slightly, bringing forth both convulsions and forth chills
And the old man whipped around, ready to meet his greatest fear
But saw only Nothing.

But like the wind that chilled him so
And the heat from Hell below
He felt an unseen presence.
Am unseen terror. An unseen evil.
Conjured by an unseen devil.
He ignored the dread and stared back down
At the cold gray stone by the edge of town
Across the tracks not recently abandoned
With sand and fox-tails growing round
And by the stone there sat, behold,
A small and silent marigold
Which brought a warmth into the cold
That enveloped this man of old
Who smiled at this small oasis
In the desert ground tenacious
And gently stooped and plucked the flower
Transferring into his hand its power
And smiled as he smelled it in all its modest glory
And for an instant, giving him sweet shelter from his worry

And in this moment of beautiful bliss, once again the hand
Whipped across the distant hills and grabbed upon the man
And ripped out his peaceful essence, then the soul and hand
Slid back across the horizon, leaving the coil of the man
Lying cross the stone and sand
Becoming one with all the land
A smile still upon him and
The marigold clasped in his hand.

So ends his journey, by death's sting
A victim of this dreaded Nothing.

Terminal worry

As I sit here
feeling my own pity
selfishly thinking of myself
knowing good and well

cursing brutal words
wanting to flow from my quill
angry exhaustion filling my mind
yet battered heart slowly continues
to beat upon
the next morn...

instead of thankfully getting up
getting ready for the gift of this day
instead of being grateful
instead i turned away

already worrying about tomorrow
about things that have yet to come
instead of trusting You
to love me enough...

to give me enough strength
for the battles i face

knowing our fates were decided
an eternity ago
by the one holding
times swinging pendulum

had wings of palest gold
like the sparking yellow
of campfires flame
or a fireplace offering
welcoming warm blaze

his tall staff also of gold
held in strongest hands
see yonder!

through that haze
through fog of white of gray
reminding us of thunderstorms
through warmest
months of May

mayhap He was a vision
maybe i shall never know
if twas another dream
relief would course through
for He said last eve
tis almost time to go

He whispered with that loving grace
words heard inside my heart
telling me to enjoy this life
for too soon twill be time
to part...

Although i am sure i would love heaven
and i have loved ones there i dearly miss
can i please stay here awhile longer Lord
i feel i still have plenty to give

my heart is pure
only meaning the best
through you i will try to reach them
with a gift of words
in which you blessed

SLIDERULE

Be drift the moon across cloudless sky
to shine it's light upon the cloudy I
beneath her gaze my darkened days
where time has slowed and doesn't quickly fly

And crowded are the days in lonely thought
considering those I know untimely bought
thoughts take course in their own remorse
upon those which time and chance has caught

But spendthrift my joy within this time
recalling laughter spent I bring to mind
like vesture wear the things we'ad share
that in the future will be left behind

Stretch forth my hand to things from past
and forward move beyond dies cast
remembering the years forgetting all the tears
throwing fears away with courage to standfast

Bring back the soft happiness on the morrow
and take away the grey grief and sorrow
work me a happy tune play melodious soon
for the joys tween times of grief we borrow

source human expierences

reflected guidence

somewhere between the sephira i beg of thee
bleed my soul and take my spirit eternally
i question no motive
of mans hatred nature
and place no blame of that which is smoke and mirrors
oh how i wish i could bring you the horizon
read these words and feel the pain
yet think of comfort
and its bittersweet rain
forever am i the broken wings
guidance i offer
an outstretched hand
but i lay in the shadows
so find my fingertips
and embrace that which i have reflected upon you

My Final Twenty Four Hours

This final day on earth
so many thoughts fill the mind
firstly I must thank my God
for His faithfulness so kind

Then ponder on my future state
God's assured in heaven for me
this old earth will one day perish
so grateful I've received salvation's key

But they are friends left here
whom I will have to wave goodbye
hope to see them one day soon
in God's glory when they die

Would think on joys I've had
of music and walks of nature
be glad to be rid of stammer
soon I'll have the fluent cure

So look ahead to final moments
as my earth lights go out
to awake in my eternal glory
this I believe without a doubt

The Gift of Prayer

Dear Lord,
I know the end is soon to come
My frightened heart beats like a drum

Past events in visual recall
In rapid succession I appraise them all

WAS this my life after three score and ten
The avariciousness of a thieves den

WAS this my life ignorant still
Low in Spirit and weak in will

WAS this my life a degenerate mess
Rejecting assistance with such casualness

WAS this my life filled with wanton delight
Nonsensical whimsies without any respite

Dear Lord, I want to cancel it out
Forgive me my sins in alarm I shout

Lost Sheep, YOU are my chosen one
Throughout YOUR meanderings a light has shone

YOU have faltered oft I know
But throughout each betrayal I have loved you so

YOUR cries for help have not been in vain
YOUR triumphs my loss, each confession my gain

YOUR deeds good and bad are in your eyes
So few of mankind do apologise

Love is YOUR gift on your sleeping face
Peaceful at last in my constant embrace

Parallel Universe

What is true in the natural realm
Is true in the spiritual world,
But it's truth is more real.
The natural world is temporary.
The spiritual realm is eternal.
Its Death is never-ending,
And its Life is everlasting.
