I tried to paint a picture, Dear, of you,
But there was no right color that would do.
There is no blue that ever could display
The tranquilness with which you face each day.
I think no shade of red I’ll ever find
To match the utter passion of your mind.
Among sweet sunny yellow’s many hues,
I cannot find a one that I might use.
No color in this world can paint you whole.
And certainly I could not paint your soul.
The soul of you, so beautiful to me,
I know that it will shine eternally.
From inside out, my darling, how you glow.
Such happiness I’d never thought to know.
But never could I paint that brilliant light.
Nor can I paint your beauty in my sight.
If I could be Van Gogh, I think I might
Create a picture of a starry night.
And I would put inside it me and you
Enraptured ever in that sky’s dark blue.

WRITTEN FROM A MARRIED WOMAN'S PERSPECTIVE
i know we have been married a very very long time
we barely ever talk in fact i might as well be a mime
it is normal i suppose after so long to lose interest
please understand i am not at all trying to be a pest
i wonder if you even still know where it is
just below my belly button you'll see the frizz
i wish - though it's been ages - you would find again that old space
and then Make Love To Me In (what for you is) That Ancient Place

"Actions of Love"
by: Eric L. Boddie
What if I were to instigate your heart to join with my own
Would you make me the place you call home
If I challenge your body to a duel of pleasure
Would you be willing to expose your treasure
If I dare your Soul to become my mate
Would you define me as your fate
If I urge your eyes to see my truth
Would you help me build Love under just one roof
If I influence your hands to want to touch my frame
Would you declare yourself as only my personal toy without shame
If I bet your tongue that it can't out wrestle mine in any timing
Would you just accept it or would you die trying
If I inflict you with Love That's Truly Heavenly
Would you take your rightful place in Eric's Destiny....

As the snowdrops nod happily when you kissed my soul warmly love
laughing in the cold spring air so stirringly beautiful flutters wings of a dove
The daffodils yawn awakening to new life or so it seems
sun beams smile inside a thousand songs sweetly my dream
Birds singing freely dawning tunes deep heartfelt desire
you are amazing one faraway flame kissing beats on fire

Standing in the corner, watching all the love and romance
Watching the twirling couples with envy as they dance
The fast ones and the slow ones, they dance the night away
But I remembered what you told me, just the other day.
Yes you can dance if you long to, dance your night away
Dance until the dawn arrives, and the start of a new day.
But no matter how long you dance or which partner you dance with
Remember they just want to dance, they don’t have love to give.
The dance that is important is the last dance of the night
The last dance that you dance, will be with the one who loves you right.
When we are on the dance floor, and the rest of the dancers are gone
The dance will be for us my love, a dance of love that goes on and on.
On the dance floor of desire which is the dance floor of such love
We’ll dance the last dance together, as close as hand in glove.
The last dance will be a slow one, and will last our whole lives through
So save that last dance for me my love, the one that loves you true.

Twinkle twinkle little star.
How bright and beautiful you are!
Bring what I’ve been dreaming of -
Your sweet and everlasting love!
I need the warmth of your caress -
Come light my night with tenderness.
Darling man, come dazzle me!
Your star-shine smile I long to see.
Come to me by moonlight, Dear.
Our time is now, and I am here.

Back in time beneath gas light glow,
I watch where waltz music flows;
will you notice me all alone
too shy to make my presence known?
Awestruck by the sweeping beauty,
ceiling scenes painted heavenly
as though angels are peering through;
are they watching with me for you?
Pretty ladies in dresses fair
with feathered fans and coiffured hair;
color abounds in satin and lace,
echoed on each expressive face.
Handsome men bowing gallantly,
requesting hands respectfully;
enthralled am I seeing this world,
a gray oyster in shell of pearl.
Suddenly, you are in this room!
I shrink - fading wallflower bloom;
I doubt that you even know who
I am. How could I have dreamed you
would fall in love with one like me;
I turn to go, quietly flee.
Your hand touches my trembling arm,
your gentle smile dissipates alarm;
the room, quiet at your voice,
anticipates your happy choice.
Pumpkin coach, fairy godmother?
No glass slippers made to cover
my dancing feet; no prince charming
just you and a love, disarming.

Fair is this pristine earth upon which thou stands
With thy face t'ward the sun and mine heart held in thy hand
On many a day, I am a quiet river flowing
And I drink in thy laughter and windswept song
How the twinkles within thine eyes set ablaze mine soul
Thou art the sustenance which is required for life’s arduous toll
As thou breathest in air, I pray thee, inhale all of me
And place mine heart within thine for safekeeping with thee

Tenderly your heart whispers ever so soft and low
Warm breaths caress my ear as your love you show
Kindred spirits speak loves divine words that play
As your heart whispers through each word you say
Oh, hold me close in loving arms, feel the warmth of my skin
Kiss me deeply passionately as our hearts whispers begin
Your hands caress my face tenderly, my lips part and I sigh
Our hearts whispers grow as my love for you I do descry
On silken sheets our bodies entwined two hearts beat as one
Lost in your brown eyes the web of our hearts whispers is spun
My hands move gently lower playing over your Ivory breasts
My kiss touches your ear our hearts whispers to love do attest
Soft sighs from lips parted, shared heart whispers heard in velvet of night
Whilst two lovers shadows dance on the wall bathed in pleasures delight
Holding tight and caressing with lips bringing sweet pleasures untold
On downy covers where two hearts whispers as one begin to unfold
My lips caress sweet roses as my fingers play lightly over your silken thigh
Auburn hair frames your angels face, our hearts whispers take wing and fly
Fingers feather light, move in rhythm to the beat of your needs and desire
Hearts whispers of passion and delight ignite your soul in raging fire
Heavenly scent fills the room as loves passions begin to be met.
Hearts whispers cry out as every desire filled on satin sheets wet
Two glistening bodies lay bare as souls become one in loves dance tonight
In perfect rhythm our hearts whispers shared in the shadows of candlelight
Lost in passion our bodies joined rising and falling in loves throws
Hearts whispers of pleasure unending as our lips join and time slows
Voices cry out in unison as hearts whispers the ecstasy of love sated
Laying together in gentle embrace our love is forever unabated

As I hop upon my Metaphor
I hope I still have Rhyme
I need to make the last Quatrain
Which leaves at ten 'til nine
My Haiku's waiting for me
I Lyric her so much
That I, bought a mixed bouquet for her
Of Triolets and such
A gift wrapped Box of Canzone
I know she'll like to eat
Those Blitz', Choka, Clerihew's
Are Villanelle sweet
One day I hope to buy her
A huge Diamante ring
And List forever, in a world
That's Free Verse-ever-ing

If I picked my Valentine
she'd be a perfect 10.
She'd have blonde hair with highlites
and answer where and when.
She'd be a little shorter,
yet tall enough to kiss.
Her reach a little longer
to torture us in bliss.
Her shape would be the bomb.
As sexy as they come.
With hair up for the moment
I'd meet her at the prom.
She'd talk a little faster
with words I'd say are smart.
Yet keep me to attention
in hugs up to my heart.
A smile just like a lion.
Her face a source of pride.
One to show my mother.
And then to make my bride.
My Valentine was perfect
as I lost her way back then.
How was I to know that she
would find her perfect 10.

I wished only
To suckle from your breast
I dreamed only to hold you
As you would embrace me to rest
I dreamed that love
Would set us both free
You denied me the fairy tale
You robbed your own broken heart
Now, we are both the poorer
The mourning makes us both the sorer
The canary sings when the new morning rings
The sun rises, and a young lovers smile rises
You are there
I am here
The road of one, still has room
Wonder when the cloud will lift the gloom
I have died long ago
No need to breathe on dead old leaves
If only the scar on the heart
Would open up
Only then could the rainbows sing
Letting the sunshine in
The blood would tumble and flood the floor
Flowing right out that heartless door
There I would be in soldier grey
Ready for the battle to make love stay
Into my arms, you would faint
I would stare and unspoken I would paint
The first small kiss you would awake
Open the book, so that verses we could make

I am only a novice
So when I am near you I get so nervous
I blame your beauty
It causes even angels to feel envy
But that's not the only reason why I want you
It's also your amazing attitude
You truly are great
I want to be apart of your fate
Even though your amazing, and I'm barely fine,
Will you be my valentine?

Again a small poem guys dedicated to my Darling hubby..

Loving You is Blissful - My Darling Hubby
Twilighting glow of the sky..
Wanna fly so high..
Sparkling amidst the million stars..
chosen the crazy pal and so life is excellently par..
As like the blossom were kissed by soft rain..
Your arrival in life diminished all my pains..
God has entwined me..with my emarald diamonite gem..
Enlightening new vistas in life as like your next aim..
At an astounding pace time flew..
But When i didn‘t see you..I feel like..Life is been dew..
Your divine presence in life rejuvenates me..
Every tick of my heartbeat resonating wit your‘s or whatever it will be..
Your innumerable naughtiness made me silly..
But yep, your beautifying nature had an fragrance in life like lilly..
As like snow crested the nestled mountains..
You cuddled my persona..like a sip of fountains..
Being With you, Life is euphorically elated..
Full of high spirit and delighted..
Thanks for being accompanying me my theist..
Your admirer with lots n lots of Love:

My thirst, to taste the sweetness of life, within your eyes
Will not be quenched, by watching the moonlight skies
Your eyes are like blue green pools, that envelop my soul
With waves that caress my essence, making me whole
I see the waves pulsating, watching your lips, inviting my hope
Eagerly anticipating, life's true joy, held in your lips supple slope
As our fingers touch fingers, our lust, desire bursts into a flame
That light sky and heaven, as our love and devotion we proclaim
With our love, passion, and desire, at last released with our vows
Live Life with, Passion, Love and Laughter, no need to browse

Love, some say is a sinful fruit,
for others its a blissful truth.
Addictive it is way mor than marijuana and cocaine,
but lose it, it will give you way more pain.
Those who have lost it, has felt that pain,
their life is never gonna be the same again.
I am new to the feeling of love,
and i feel as peaceful as a dove.
Greats say "love is not times fool",
but to not enjoy the bliss of love time is a fool.
Love, some say is a sinful fruit,
for others its still is a blissful truth.

Your eyes-The open sea
Each gaze, a wave, engulfing me
Caught in the current-Strong and fast
Drowning in moments-Deep and vast
I grow less certain, everyday
If I will be able, to find my way
Back to shore

With love banter she did persist
But my riposte barbs did resist
Few frothy gestures; emotions to grist
But my playful hands pounded with fist
On a lite, free-flowing parley did insist;
For my crude vocabulary did not desist
Added some colloquial idioms for zest,
But my trite sayings quickly put to rest
Fearing that I did with hollow words jest;
Solemnly cupped hands on tenured breast
Uttered romantic soliloquy my desire to test,
Then rolled her eyes as my prone quill did crest
A few lines from tender ballad did invest,
But my swaggering tune could not digest
A couple of amorous riddles pressed,
But chafed at each, laborious guess

It seems I wanted too much:
or may be just a touch.
May be a little bit more:
happiness with the one I adore.
May be a good morning kiss,
or sweet words: “My honey I miss”.
It seems I wanted too much:
to be happy as such,
to fly in the sky like a bird,
to be understood without a second word,
to listen to the songs of my Lord,
to give a smile and behave like a child.
It seems I wanted too much:
to live without any mistakes,
without any heart breaks.
I wanted my soul not to be cold,
to live without any storms,
to feel your heart warmth.
It seems I wanted too much:
to turn into a dove,
to swim on the waves of love,
to meet with you every dawn,
to have the wings of a swan
and never be alone.
It seems I wanted too much...

My heart is in way to deep
I don't want to fall asleep
Your love is better than any dream
Flowing like an endless stream
Sunrise finds my tangled bed
Can't get you out of my head
You have me in a crazy spin
Twirling round and round again
In a whirlpool of desire
Love flows higher and higher.

My Love is like a cherished gift I covet in my room,
My Love is like a budding shoot forever caught in bloom.
My Love is like a melody I captured whilst in dream,
Of a lilting sensuality and pleasure quite serene.
The passion of my Love can sear and yet can also heal,
There is no bar can measure how intense my Love can feel.
My Love warms me in winter's chill but cools my irate state;
With calming words of meaning my Love knows what soothes my aches.
I have seen my Love shed tears of pain as passions overrun,
I have seen a sorrow in my Love from hurts that I have done,
And yet I felt forgiveness from my Love that is so deep,
Absolving me from my past wrongs and setting me then free.
My Love lives that which teachings say as goodly souls we should,
Engender in each other and instill within our youths.
My Love is solid fundament of realism pure;
Not concepts or imaginings of damsels in knight's lore.
And yet the magic that my Love displays for me each day;
Would put to shame all fantasy in children's fairy tales.

Unwrapping a mellow chord
Repeated words one affords
Flowers awaiting new bloom
Find Blue’s infusing the gloom
Waiting upon stars falling
Across the sky of wishing
An arched conduit of light
Opaque in harmony’s flight
Catching each note expecting
Lovers’ moon unquestioning
Rhythm extinguishing flame
Silencing slashes of pain
Ember’s etching on the sky
Kindled visions that now fly
A wasteland alight once more
Blazing with lyrical score
Melody of words spoken
Re-acquaint new love’s token
Awash in the bluest “Blues”
Dreaming of wishes come true

To Love someone with all your hear is one thing
To love someone with all you have is another thing
To love some with all you could be is so sweat
But to Love each other to the point you can't live
without one another it is true love indeed.

As the black clouds parted, a shaft of light suddenly shone down
It hit the grass where I was laying, a silver circle like a crown
There was no rainbow there, so it was no pot of silver or gold
The shaft of light was dazzling, but it made my heart feel cold
It seemed to be an icy shaft, but dazzling all the same
Shinning I was fearful, was this God’s finger pointing out my shame
Shaking with fear I watched, the shaft of light still glowing there
Then I saw it shining, on the head with silver hair
The head of hair belonging, to the man beside of me
The shaft of light shining, showing the love that I now see
The light is still glowing and it is just like a crown
On the head of the man beside me, the one that was also lying down.

Here I am, So stuck in my heart
I tried to leave but you won't let me out
And I've tried even harder to strive for more
Without your hope, I don't know what I'm fighting for
Because you give me all your love and then you take some away
I'm losing more every single day
So tell me what to do
When I feel like I can't live without you
Like there's no one else, because that would be the biggest mistake
To go my whole life not knowing you, No matter how long that could take
But I don't want to think like that, I know right where you're supposed to be
Right here in my heart, You'll forever be a part of me

Who's Romantic Now?
My Hubby is so Romantic that he told me I had infinite beauty the other day.
And he said he is going to prove it, by looking at me from infinity, far away.
But that’s OK I have to say, for he looks a lot like me.
And I send him daily off to infinity; as to work he has to be.
Now what’s so romantic about that, you may rightly ask?
You see… he was supplying my muse, so my poem won’t come in last.

Valentines day is always something special to me, I explained.
So I planned a romantic evening and got ready for my campaign.
The children were at a sleepover with their favorite friends they adore.
So I met my hubby as he came in, accidentally tripping and making him hit the door.
Thank God his head is hard as he hit that, the nearby TV, but very little more.
I made Cherries Jubilee as a snack while he sat there with an ice pack to his head.
But before I knew it, I’d knocked it over and almost burned down the house instead.
When he finally put the fire extinguisher away…
I got up and got some of the kids’ apple tarts I had made.
He bit in deep and burned his mouth, declaring he wasn’t hungry and the pain would fade.
Next he decided to go upstairs, but I had put rose petals down everywhere in spades.
And yes you probably guessed it… he slipped and ended up needing a little aide.
At this he decided to take an aspirin and lay down upon the couch. OH HHWell…
But I knew the rest needed to happen above, to totally create this romantic spell…
I had to get him to the candles and bubble bath, where my romantic dreams still dwelled.
So I got out some scarves and danced toward him, tying up his hands before he fell.
He never knew what hit him as he was lassoed and gently bounced up the stairs.
I guess I wouldn’t have had to tie his feet… a few words would have done as well.
But you know me when I get going, my mind tends to lose a few brain cells…
He was flustered, exhausted and bruised when he got there, but he’s made of the right stuff.
Though as I took off the scarves, he flopped on the bed pulling the covers over his head kind of rough.
He said he loved me, but living with me could be kind of tough.
He said it was better to leave it to him, for the romantic endeavors and such.
He said he had reservations and play tickets in his shirt pocket for later on that night.
But what he needed now was some aspirin and a few moments of quiet respite.
So with a sigh he started snoring, and my romantic dreams were momentarily crushed.
I dearly love the man you know. But, do you think maybe I tried too much?

Have you had a dinner overlooking Rome?
A quiet, garden setting, where you two are alone?
Darkened bushes, candlelit table, with tiny lights all aglow,
romanticize the setting, as we all know.
Start with a glass of a fine red wine,
aged just right, and sweet as the vine.
A little Antipasto is what I certainly would say,
Cheeses, Salami, Pepperoni, and Flatbreads all go a long way.
A Caesar Salad prepared at your table side and done,
by a young Brazzi look alike, with a certainty of perfection.
The glass of a fine white wine will next set the pace,
changing the evening, while staying in place.
The Entree ordered is a delicious Piece of Sole,
large enough to share, baked to its flaky goodness in whole.
Asparagus Spears, Broccoli, or Italian Beans simmered with soy,
could all be accepted as Side Dishes with our fish to enjoy.
Tiramisu for her, Creme Brule' for me with its golden crown,
with an Ice Wine to wash these tasty Desserts down.
Then a Latte or Cappuccino might just do,
with some Creme Sherry to finish the mood.
A short romantic walk to the Trevi 'neath Rome's idyllic moon,
means that our dinner has ended all too soon.
Our "Special Evening" however, is only done,
When we later make love to each other...uniting as one.

Fresh memory of first love never fades away
Old memory is like flowers smelt yesterday.
After very long time, I took out my suite
Cornered in the wardrobe on a hanger.
I found a long familiar hair in the collar
That curly hair of a beauty who drew me to her.
An exalting smell
Of the *Bocheron perfume
I do remember.
*Brand name of the perfume
