Music Take Me Back

When I'm blue and need something to make me smile
I can turn on my forty fives and listen for a while
Jimmy Gilmer sang about a Sugar Shack
Holding hands, walking down that railroad track
Then I let the music take me back.

Take me back to a time when love was new
Take me back to a time when skies were blue
When we could catch that falling star
Make love in the back seat of my car
Music, oh sweet music, take me back

Doo-wop memories touched my soul
Mixed with the early days of rock and roll
I close my eyes and through the haze
I see sunshine and better days
Music take me back to those times again.

There was Bandstand on TV in black and white
Radio on 'til you fell asleep at night
There were dances at the school
And swimming in the community pool
Music take me back, let me remember when.

Did we believe those days would forever last
Were things so much better in the past
I dream of days when a movie
Meant kissing in the balcony
Music take me back, let my heart roam.

It seems like a thousand years ago
We found true love and watched it grow
I know this is where my heart belongs
When I listen to those songs
Music take me back, please take me home.

The country gathering

The country gathering

Sometimes the folk all got together
In the little country house
Now there was Tom the tiny tiger
Well, he could be a louse
But could he play that old guitar
Man! he made it speak
And when the folk did hear him play
He made their legs go weak.

There was Winifred the otter
How she did those drums
Her rhythm it could suck one in
If you were feeling glum
You’re legs would start to dancing
As you’d rise up to the sky
And all those troubles that you had
They’d fade away and die.

Now Mugly Minie, could she sing!!
She was the porcupine
She’d stand there with a glass of wine
And she’d just blow your mind
As Billie basset, the friendly bear
Would play that bass so cool
Now he was quiet, and very shy
But lord, he had it all.

People came from miles around
To hear those  fellows play
They’d dance and sing Chicago blues
Their hearts alive and gay
They’re going to be a big time band
One day, they all know this
But all they really want to do
Is play, that’s how it is.

Unanswered Poems

Don’t send me more
Of your tragic poems
My dear
Covered in blood
Of your monthly flood
Of tears

Don’t send me more
Of your angry poems
My dear
Carved with the knife
Of your molten spite
And fears

I’m just a peddler
With a cart
Bringing discount words
To hearts
Broken hearts across the land
Woman left without her man
Broken hearts throughout the world
Anguished boy and crying girl

Your poetry’s too heavy, dear
For me to read, for me to bear
Your poetry’s too heavy, dear
For me to get from here to there

Don’t send me more
Of your bitter poems
My sweet
Forged in the fire
Of your endless ire
And grief

Don’t send me more
Of your hopeless poems
My sweet
Ripped from the womb
Of the lonely room
You keep

I’m just a peddler
With a cart
Bringing discount words
To hearts
Broken hearts across the land
Woman left without her man
Broken hearts throughout the world
Anguished boy and crying girl

Your poetry’s too heavy, dear
For me to read, for me to bear
Your poetry’s too heavy, dear
For me to get from here to there

(You see that shadow on the road
Trudging ‘neath its heavy load
A heart weighed down by sands of time
And your poems only make him cry
And he won’t add them to the pile
So he can walk another mile)

(And he won’t add them
To the pile
So he can walk
Another mile)

Too heavy, dear
Too heavy, dear
For me to read
For me to bear

(They make him sad
Make him cry
Beat him down
Deep inside)

Too heavy, dear
Too heavy, dear
For me to read
For me to bear

They make me sad
Make me cry
Feel as though
I want to die

(And he won’t add them
To the pile
So he can walk
Another mile)

Too heavy, dear
Too heavy, dear
For me to read
For me to bear

(A heart weighed down
By sands of time
And your poems
Only make him cry)

Too heavy, dear
Too heavy, dear
For me to read
For me to bear

first apartment

Start our life in this new apartment.
Its small, as small as our love started...
all I need is your hands
and just enough room to dance.

The music starts,
you pull me in.
We're two hearts
this is where we begin.
This is our,
our very first apartment.

Such a little world
that you and I both live in.
Just a boy and girl
as green as can be, we begin.
All I need is your hands
and just enough room to dance.

The music starts,
you pull me in.
We're two hearts,
this is where we begin.
This is our,
our very first...

Such a small world.
What a small world.
We're so little, just you and I.
Promise we'll always be little.
Little love, little world.

All I need is your two strong hands,
and barely enough room at all to dance.

Wailing the blues

Wailing the blues.

I’m remembering those days
That I’d be up there on that stage
Blowing a storm on the old blues harp
Oh man, I used to rage!
Most said that I was very good
And I loved that ego boost
So I would wail those blues notes out
All hanging kind of loose.

Folk would come and buy me drinks
And shake me by the hand
And I would smoke the evil weed
And feeling kind of grand
I’d get all kind of soulful then
And forget just where I was
My eyes all closed my body swaying
Like a man completely lost.

Once I opened up my eyes
And folk were standing there
All their dancing stopped by me
As people everywhere
We’re captivated by my harp
Entrancement on their dials
The music doing what it does best
It was joy to see those smiles.

That was in the days long gone
When I really loved me grog
I guess I’m kind of mellowed now
I’m as active as a log
But I love the many memories
Of the times I played those songs
All loud and loose and free, and grand
And pleased the blessed throng.

This is what my heart says

i swing into dreams
i swim into the deepest sleeps
i never seem to get back in time

now the world seems clearer
my friends say i am getting better
i wonder if those are just words to deny

and a lover of the abyss
you sprang out of the mist
but i cannot give you what you seek

the phone keeps ringing
and my heart keeps doubting
of all the words you have tried to speak

so speak no more.

so let me go.

please dont speak anymore

now i just want you to know.

there are rainbows and clouds
better than what i am right now
you can find them somewhere out there

my heart cannot bear the pain i will send
because i am not mister evil again
please my heart says i want to get out there

my heart says i want to let you go
i just want you to know.
i dont love you anymore.

Martyr for the Unorthodox word

If I had over 10,000 dreams You'd be the only thing my mind could see Judgment couldn't be real Succumbing to the fear of this cold life Find a way to break through The self-destruction of wordly delusions Don't tell me I've lived so long in a lovely illusion Break me down until we find a Nirvanic state Then bring me a savior from transgressions An atoning sacrifice Send down to me a messenger for me to submit to Bring me the truth to break through The delusion Bring me the messenger to explain it all And let me leave behind Sorrow's caressing the earth The caliphate stole my heart Without a will to fight But I have the Means to be free I'll try to go with the word I believe But so many stones to be thrown Stakes to burn, limbs to break Faces to hate, scorns to taste Will I have the will to die Despite all of the tears no one will cry Sorrow's caressing the earth The caliphate stole my heart Broke my will Safetefied my soul Martyr for the Unorthodox word Sorrow's caressing the earth The caliphate stole my heart Without a will to fight But I have the Means to be free I'll try to go with the word I believe But so many stones to be thrown Stakes to burn, limbs to break Faces to hate, scorns to taste Will I have the will to die Despite all of the tears no one will cry Sorrow's caressing the earth The caliphate stole my heart Broke my will Safetefied my soul Martyr for the Unorthodox word

Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Jewel There!!

Mrs. Brown you've got a lovely jewel there,
Jewels like her are something rare...
She can't  disguise it,
Ruby's red eyes show "blues" in it,

Fred, you wanna add the refrain?
Don't worry about Herman & pals-
They're all hermit crabs now-a-days.

Leave the Ninety-nine

We must leave the ninety-nine
To go search and find
The one lost sheep
Wand'ring far behind
We must leave the ninety-nine
To go search and find
The one lost sheep-
Left behind  (Chorus)

Just suppose one of you has a hundred sheep
Then loses one of them and begins to weep
Would you not leave the ninety and nine
And go after the one on your heart and mind
And when it's found you would hold it closer
And carry it home upon your shoulders
Then call all your neighbors and gather all your friends
Celebrating your sheep that's back in the fold again

[Bridge]
Likewise there's more rejoicing
In Heaven up above
Over one lost soul who will repent
Than for the ninety-nine
Who are already found
To be righteous and so obedient (So..)

(Chorus)

Now suppose one of you has ten silver coins
But then loses one of them from your collection
Would you not light the house and sweep the floors
Searching very carefully for what is yours
Would you not put away the other precious nine
And look in every corner until the lost one you'd find
Then call all your neighbors and gather all your friends
Celebrating you have your coin in your hand again

[Bridge]

(Chorus)

[Bridge2]
But don't forsake the congregation
And now's the time for visitation
To lead the lost ones to salvation
With God's angels in celebration

(Chorus)

London

She called herself London
On that day
She fell from the sky
Child of apple blossoms
Dancing wildly
Into your mind

The snake that hung from her neck
Bites your hand
Expels you from Eden
Tears into the cool flesh
Of your madness
Posing as reason

London
Kisses you like a sweet lover
As though she really cares
Lets you
Taste the passionate orchard
In her body’s secret lair

London
Wrestles with all your demons
Nothing quite compares
To the pain
The indecent pleasure
In the waters that you share

Her name was London
Call her London

She called herself London
On that night
She prayed to the moon
Apollo’s lyre
Played darkly
In a portent
Of your own doom

The hell she hides
In her soul
Toxic drug you’ll never escape
You crave the milk of her touch
Her strange and dangerous ways

London
Kisses you like a sweet lover
As though she really cares
Lets you
Taste the passionate orchard
In her body’s secret lair

London
Wrestles with all your demons
Nothing quite compares
To the pain
The indecent pleasure
In the waters that you share

Her name was London
Call her London

My baby, London
Call her London
My moon-girl, London
Call her London

I love her, London
Call her London
Forever, London

I call her London……

Rhythm of Life

Death instills the final emotion, defining the rhythm of life,
While understanding its passage is left to a wiser man;
The simplicity of a moment lays deep within, and is limited to the meaning
withheld’
But we may all be gone in a moment, condemned to the changing time …
Yet when I die just dig a hole and throw in my mangy bones

Death mocks us in the starlight, and beckons on the suns rebirth,
Silent thoughts are thus imposed, when loud a church bell sounds,
In melodic rhyme the rhythm of time, came out over a graven mist,
And how bitter the solitude foretold, when morn led on to day …
But when I die just dig a hole and throw in my mangy bones

Death remains an enigma once held to a passing thought,
When lines of an ancient mariner are lost forever more;
Structured words are what our mind recalled, and are played to the rhythm of
life
And intent we are to things unseen when sunrise turns to day…
Yet when I die just dig a hole and throw in my mangy bones

Where the Leprechauns Play

I tip toe through the darken forest
Shhhh! This is my favorite tune
Notes astray from a thickset underbelly hollow
It’s like gold on the wind that’s spun anew

A snap of fingers and click of heels
Beneath a toadstool where I see mighty movement
It’s a belly aching fiddler conspiring with wee laughter
And my feet begin to dance a merriment enchantment

This time I’m absolutely sure
I’ve found their little hiding place
Where all the Leprechauns go at night
At the rainbow’s end to drink green beer and sing

My legs won’t even begin to stop
As they jig me into woodland further and further within
Closer to those little devils and their hidden sacred spot
I knew the magic of the Irish music would be death of me yet

Rose Hips Lady

Rose hips lady
Your field is ripe
Bury my torn body
In that rain-soaked night

Taste those sweet confessions
On your baby breath
Lift this wounded flag
Into your burning nest

Oh, yes, I will
I will

Rose hips lady
Your field is ripe
Bury my torn body
In that rain-soaked night

Tame the roaring tiger
Never lets you rest
Take my last reward
From your moonlit breasts

Oh, yes, I will
I will

Daddy’s gone hunting
He’s gone away
Daddy’s gone hunting
Won’t be back for days

Left you with a lover
Makes a shrine
Of your skin

Left you with a lover
Takes you down
Roads of sin

Left you all alone
Alone

And the knots cut deep
Through the musk and flesh
Of hot regret
And the love you need
It’s a shadow
Never lets you rest

You release the Beast
From a well that’s wet
You will confess
That the love you need
It’s a shadow
Never lets you rest

Rose hips lady
Aaaaaah......

After the Rock Concert is Over

   The heights were reached

         with the help of hasheesh

but the dancing and

    the sound

has stopped

   The crowd in the park

        exits

and silence takes over

    once again

   Do you sincerely believe

that all pain

    was negated by the deafening sound?

Well, it was great

    but one must answer to fate

  ONE MUST ANSWER TO FATE!

Voice in the Night

How do I thank
The voice in the night?
Call of hope
After the world turned dark

How do I thank
The voice in the night?
Healing words
Made from
Angel heart

Oh, her chocolate whisper
Warm convincing breeze
Oh, her breathy laughter
In the shadow of my need

Don’t you hear the voice?
Save  you from despair
Don’t you hear the voice?
Sent by ghosts who care

Don’t you hear the voice?
Rises like a prayer
Come to rescue you
From your earthly snare

How do I thank
The voice in the night?
Call of hope
Kissed my tears away

How do I thank
The voice in the night?
Now I dance
To a magic serenade

Don’t you hear the voice?
Memories of home
Don’t you hear the voice?
Pretty as a poem

Don’t you hear the voice?
Vivifies your soul
Bathes you in a pool
Love you’ve never known

How do I thank
The voice in the night?
Call of hope
After the world turned dark

Voice inside the darkness
Gets into my head
Lady caller,
Take me, take me
To your bed

Voice inside the darkness
Gets into my head
Lady caller
Raise me, raise me
From the dead

Voice inside the darkness
Gets into my head

To Music

Sweet sounds so dear—
Pure timeless tones of gladness—
Your melodies bestir my soul to flight—
Through darkest night
And doleful days of sadness—
I thank you for my hope and banished fear,
Oh precious music, mine to hear.

In sorrow born—
From dust to dust we wander,
Lamenting, all too late, come winter frost,
The springtime lost.—
Our lives we vainly squander.
The mourning bells do toll for us, forlorn.—
Oh may we hark to heaven's horn!

Sweet sounds so dear—
Pure timeless tones of gladness—
Your melodies bestir my soul to flight—
Through darkest night
And doleful days of sadness—
I thank you for my hope and banished fear,
Oh precious music, mine to hear.

– Harley White

[Song Lyrics for 'An die Musik' – Franz Schubert (1797–1828) ]

Remembering those days

Remembering those days

I’m remembering those days
That I’d be there on that stage
Blowing a storm on the old blues harp
Oh man, I used to rage
Some said that I was the best
And I loved that ego boost
So I would wail those blues notes out
All hanging kind of loose.

The folk would come and buy me drinks
And praise me up a bit
And I would smoke the wacky baccy
Oh man, I really loved it
And then I’ get so bloody soulful
I’d forget just where I was
My eyes all closed my body swaying
Like a man completely lost.

Sometimes I’d open up my eyes
And folk were standing there
All their dancing stopped by me
With people everywhere
Just watching me the way I played
Entrancement on their dials
Then afterwards they’d buy me beer
And everyone was smiles.

But then I’d get stuck in the booze
And my head would start to spin
And with my big, loud cockney mouth
I’d raise a lot of din
Always got myself in trouble
Cause boy I loved me grog
I guess I’ve settled down a bit
Life’s really tamed this dog.

Gentle music

Gentle music

Always I’ve loved music
How I love to write those songs
I love to bash on the old guitar
And sing my words so strong
But gentle always does it
Sheer noise, I cannot stand
I love a real sweet melody
With a lovely soft, sweet band.

It seems the melody has gone
From music, now these days
Everyone just screams and shouts
Their minds all in a haze
From every kind of booze and drugs
All sweetness played right out
The young guys call it music
But me, I have my doubts.

I write my songs with sweetness
The words as plain as day
I need to get my words across
Not put folk in a daze
I want to see folk happy
Not doped out of their heads
I’m not out to feed the mind
I choose the heart instead.

Zero

I was born pale and invisible
In a world
Sees everything
Everything, everything….but me

Invisible to your touch
And doubt you’ll like me very much
Am I alive?
Was I ever me?

I’m a non-existent cipher
A pointless empty zero
Never added up to anything
A non-existent cipher
Pointless empty zero
Tell me….what does it all mean?

And now I think I want you
Ethereal body
Oblivious mask
And now I think I love you
Intelligent lips
Painted in black

But no need to look my way
Or give me the time of day

Can’t be with you
In this world
Invisible man
Never gets the girl

Oh, no...

I’ll find where you are
And watch from afar
You will be felt by me

I’ll find where you are
And watch from afar
You will be loved by me

Your
Zero
Tonight
Your
Zero
For life
Your zero
The day I die

Your zero….your zero

Zero

Tribute to bob Dylan

Tribute to Bob Dylan

I remember well when I was young
And music was my thing
There was Billy, Elvis Cliff Richard
And to me these guys did bring
Wonderful moments in my life
As I bought all of their stuff
But then this other guy came out
And Lord, that was enough

My interest it went to him
Who changed the status Quo
His name it was Bob Dylan
And me I watched him grow
From a young folk star, to a rock legend
He did change music’s face
As he prophesized some potent things
That would touch the human race.

He told us in his screaming voice
[As he played his mystic role]
That all the sons and daughters
Would be out of our control
He sang of the whole world changing
And I’m seeing that come true
Oh Yes, that old Bob Dylan
I loved what he did do.

the poverty blues song

I've got damp on my walls and cobwebs in the hall
got a rat in the kitchen
where the cockroach crawl.
I got holes in my shoes
where my toes peep through
I got a bad case of the poverty blues.

I got a crack in my bathtub and bed bugs in my bed
I got things crawlin through my hair
that make me scratch my head

Got piles of bills collected by my door
the one's I should have paid a year or two or more.
I try to get myself sorted
but always seem to lose
I got a bad case of the poverty blues.

Guitar.

I got trouble in my hovel
and the place could do with a good clean
I may not be superman
but I try the best I can
I just find things so hard to do
Guess I got a bad case of the poverty blues.

Some people call me lazy
but I sure ain't crazy
I;m a man alone in the world what can I do
I got a bad case of the poetry blues.

I'd love to meet a girly
who could cook and clean
with lots of money
so I could live my dreams
one thet would say I do
so I no longer got to sing the poverty blues
say I no longer got to sing the poverty blues uesssssssssssssss.

Give Me a Shot

As soon as I walk in,
you walk right up to me;
And I know what I want,
but you ask me what I need.
I know you're just doin' your job,
and I'm just doin' mine,
but I cannot help but wonder if you're open, come closin' time.

There aren't many people,
with whom, I get along;
And there are even fewer,
for whom, I'll write a song,
but you like to hear me sing,
and I like to watch you pour.
I wonder if there's something that we both would like much more.

Hey, bartender. Would you wait on me?
I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
But I don't care if it's last call or not -
Hey, bartender. Would you give me a shot?

Let's make a toast: To making the most of most.
Let us not look to see. What will be, will be.

So, when you close out my tab,
and I ask for one more thing;
And say, "Could you call me - a cab?"
'Stead of "Call me in the morning."
'Cause I don't wanna go too far,
but I don't wanna go without;
So, if I am where you are,
please, bartender, don't close me out.

Ode to a rock song

He thought he was a poet
but turned out to be a lyricist
He didn't even know it
Until his words were on the hit list

He wrote sonnets a-plenty
Rhyme and meter sublime
They made songs of almost twenty
Without paying him a dime!

He woke up to it all too late
He dozed too long, too ignorant
But such is the blind fool’s fate
If of worldly ways indifferent

“how I missed my ultimate calling!”
he wailed and cried and sobbed
as he heard his words on beats a-falling
Of honor and credit robbed

The producers made a killing
The poet died in debt
But the words stayed alive and thrilling
On vinyl’s preciously kept

In the end the poet was rewarded
By life’s eternal song
And posthumously awarded
Credit that tried to right the wrong

But far above the earthly sky
Looking down upon the thieves
No tears were there to cry
As he sat under Abraham’s eaves

Seeing the producers one by one
Shedding their fleshy pants and top
To be wrapped in burning flames and sun
Wailing and crying for a single drop

How I met the blues

How I met he blues

I remember as a kid
I loved the Presley stuff
I listened to his wondrous songs
And could not get enough
But then I heard him sing this song
The greatest song I’d heard
It was a song all filled with blues
I hung on to every word.

“Well that’s alright Mama”
I heard old Elvis sing
It filled my heart and touched my soul
Such joy to me did bring
Then I knew that I was hooked
I loved those blues, did I
They seemed to melt into my soul
I’ll love them till I die

I’d listen to old Muddy
And Buddy, and Freddie too
And little Walter on the harp
And many more Blues men too
So I’d like to thank old Elvis
For showing me the way
To the greatest music on this planet
I love it more each day

Deja Vu (Song)

I gave you all of me,
Your wants became too much,
And all of my somethings
You saw as not enough,
But now you are wanting,
Everything you passed up,
Your lies are frustrating,
But still I can't pass up,

This pain, this place,
Is looking too familiar to me,
The same mistakes
Are coming back around,
Your games, your face,
Are secretly whispering to me,
I can't escape,
Because emotions tear me down,

Hold on, hold on,
Tell me what I'm running into,
Stay gone, stay gone,
Is what I want to do,
So long, so long,
Why can't I say these words to you,
When I know, I know,
This will be Deja Vu

As I am anticipating
Loving you and no one else
My entire body's shaking,
Because I promised myself,
That I would never be back here,
A toy sitting on your shelf,
We always begin in last gear,
By later, there's nothing left...

This pain, this place,
Is looking too familiar to me,
The same mistakes
Are coming back around,
Your games, your face,
Are secretly whispering to me,
I can't escape,
Because emotions tear me down,

Hold on, hold on,
Tell me what I'm running into,
Stay gone, stay gone,
Is what I want to do,
So long, so long,
Why can't I say these words to you,
When I know, I know,
This will be Deja Vu

Why am I
Addicted to you,
Saying goodbye
never comes true,
This is what
it always comes to,
You constantly on my mind!

Why must I
stay thinking of you
Coming back
Thinking I love you
Losing control
when I touch you,
Wasting all of my time...

This pain, this place,
Is secretly whispering to me
Your games, your face,
Are looking too familiar to me,
The same mistakes
Emotions seem to tear me down,
I can't escape
It's coming back around,

Hold on, hold on,
is all I ever do for you,
Stay gone, stay gone,
I do and don't want you to do,
I love you, I hate you,
Everything I say is true,
I hate you, I love you...
This is our Deja vu....

Forget About Me (Does He?) (Song)

Girl it's been awhile,
Since we loved now,
But I'm lying here tonight,
Thinking of you,
Wanting to touch you,
Dreaming of holding you tight,
Girl we were so young
But we were ready,
To give ourselves to one another,
I had to call you,
Because I saw you,
And it seems you have a new lover,
And I'm wondering,

Is he loving you?
Like I used to do?
Does he make you see,
how we used to be?
Does he care for you?
Is he there for you?
Does he....
Help you forget about,

Me and you?
If he only knew,
how we used to be,
girl just you and me,
Now I'm missing you
while he's kissing you,
Does he...
Help you forget about me?

See, I don't want to cause,
any downfalls,
I just had to speak my mind,
Because I love you,
Still thinking of you,
Even after all this time,
Just want to show you,
That I still know you,
You are always in my thoughts,
And you will always be,
the world to me,
No matter how much time is lost,
So, I'm wondering,

Is he loving you?
Like I used to do?
Does he make you see,
how we used to be?
Does he care for you?
Is he there for you?
Does he....
Help you forget about,

Me and you?
If he only knew,
how we used to be,
girl just you and me,
Now I'm missing you
while he's kissing you,
Does he...
Help you forget about me?

Boyfriend

This was not what I planed
It was never my intention
I went to see a concert with my friend
Along with his cute cousin

This is not something I’m used to
But I went to take you for a run
My amazement for you
Caught your attention

Yes I do know your name
I love you to death
You are my experimental gain
Relax, its human nature

It’s not what nice boys do
But we’re not all good
In fact we’re quite wicked
It’s hard to behave

Parents say that’s so wrong
Wrong to love someone
Someone who is gay
Gay is what I am

THE MAINTOP BALLADEER

There’s a man I’d like you all to meet whose Aussie through and through,
From his felt hat to his R.M. boots, he ridgy didge, true blue.
He was born in Roma, Queensland, back in nineteen thirty-three
And his parents were from sturdy stock, a pioneer family.
Station life was in this young man’s blood and one can understand
Why he took to writing lyrics based on things he knew first hand;
Those loved tales of some lad’s ‘Silver Spurs’, the ‘Rutland Rodeo’
And ‘A Time When I Was Mustering’ he penned so long ago.

Chorus
Yes, his heart is in his lyrics this tall man from Injune way
And he’s had his songs recorded by top artists in his day.
Yes, Wave Jackson loves his ballads and mate let me make this clear
 He’s admired in music circles as the Maintop Balladeer.

Old Mac Cormack and Joe Daley both wrote lyrics by the score
And along with Wave and Coster … hell they made an awesome four.
They all had their songs recorded by Slim Dusty through the years
And these men are all respected to this day by all their peers.
Wave continues this tradition and he still writes to this day
And now picks and strums a Maton in the true bush ballad way.
You will find him at most Musters and he’s happy as can be
As today he shares his talents on his very own CD.

Yes, his heart is in his lyrics this tall man from Injune way
And he’s had his songs recorded by top artists in his day.
Yes, Wave Jackson loves his ballads and mate let me make this clear
He’s admired in music circles as the Maintop Balladeer.

Wave has travelled ‘round Australia and he’ll tell you that he’s sold
On the fact there lots of songs out there just waiting to be told.
He then proved this down in Tamworth when he won a gold guitar
And of all his fine achievements it’s the best he says so far.
It has been a wondrous innings for this gentleman of song
And I hope things will continue and his journey will be long.
He’s a real true blue Australian and they are but far and few
And I’m proud to have him as a mate and share his song with you.

Yes, his heart is in his lyrics this tall man from Injune way
And he’s had his songs recorded by top artists in his day.
Yes, Wave Jackson loves his ballads and mate let me make this clear
He’s admired in music circles as the Maintop Balladeer.

DRIPPING CANDLE GLOWING IN THE FROSTY SNOW

Everything around me is so dark,
only the frigid sky shows its hues...
as the cold robin flutters on the sill of my bright window,
to pick up the last breadcrumbs left  by the ragged widow;
and she, with a cart full of gifts, is looking for kids
to give them to...as she seemed unable
to move around in her worn-out shoes,
and I surprisingly catch some sadness in her smile!

Dripping candle glowing in the frosty snow,
chase away every approaching shadow
from her tweedy, wind-blown coat,
to spread light on her gliding path:
where snow-drifts may reduce her sight!
Dripping candle glowing in the frosty snow,
let her kindness be remembered on this Christmas' Eve...
as we all share in that spirit of giving it all!

And I will remember her, too, in my joyous glee;
as she goes past the lamp-posts of each silent street,
humming her tuneful carol with a soul so spirited...
echoing the enthusiasm of a dashing child!

Dripping candle glowing in the frosty snow,
ask her if you can be her friend...guiding her on her journey;
dripping candle, brilliant with hope and light ,
make her joyfully smile down the snowy road of this Christmas' night
by letting all the bells of the gloomy town ring like they rang before...
when she went door to door to spread the season's good tidings,
and are those vivid memories reflected in her nostalgic and kind eyes?
Dripping candle glowing in the frosty snow,
don't die out...until her weeping face beholds Christ's glory,
and she can forever rest in His comforting arms!

let me hear that song again

Let me hear that song again,
		the one with you ,me and the falling rain...
			let me hear once more the melody,
			the rivers, the stars,the wind and the sea...
		The song that played when we were together,
		the song of happiness and unending color...
			The music that played when you first came to me,
			the song of unchained passion, that soul touching memory....
		the music we shared as we walked in the sand,
		the music of breeze and water as you held my hand...
			the music my heart played when you looked into my eyes...
			The music of your laughter and the birds in the skies...
		Its time now, and it has been so long, please come along,
		And once again let me hear that song.....

Toxic Logic

take my soul and crush it... like you do... every day... You've never looked so beautiful as your figure walks away the sad screech of my broken heart as it ceases to play you took me along for the ride of a lifetime, only to throw me away, every single day, and it is a crime, without reason or rhyme, to push me along with your toxic logic,  abandoning me again with an afflicted soul,  and my heart doesn't know that it is your toxic logic that twists me up inside brought on by your reign, and I can't recall my name Once again in my little hell, all by myself, my very essence betrayed, is there any more to tell? Lie after lie has fooled me, but now I'm done But I still love you, so my pain is far from done. You think that I'm inferior to children, that you can't talk to me, though I've been here since day one, why can't you see? that my existence is for you, and no one else,  and the sickest bit of it puts me in a rage... and i try to turn the page...  But I'm trapped in your toxic logic,  abandoning me again with an afflicted soul,  and my heart doesn't know that it is your toxic logic that's killing me inside brought on by your reign, overwhelmed by pain I see the world in black and white, no color left for me, I gaze across the room, and what do I see? I see yet another soul about to be ensnared, by this predator, but I simply don't care. I lost a part of me, and it used to let me love, But it has been snatched from me by this uncaring troll, and here I am, an empty vessel of defeat. I simply don't know, I truly have been beat. But as I retreat... from anger flows heat... Seared by your toxic logic, abandoning me again with an afflicted soul, and my heart doesn't know that it is your toxic logic that branded me inside brought on by your reign... damaged by pain... The last tether to you broke, I'm free at last. an empty part inside remains, holding me fast. I sink to my knees as the vacuum in my soul starts to shrink, loving you brought me to insanity's brink. I slowly raise my head... and gaze ahead... No longer captive to your toxic logic, that abandoned me with an empty soul, and my heart now knows that it was your toxic logic that tortured me inside under your maniacal reign... which gave me nothing but pain…

free cee TAKE A SPIN IN CRINOLINE

this is a song as yet to be set to music---it's to be sung by a lady so anyone who knows how to sing and write music take this and run with it...i don't want anything except to know someone found it worthy and had the inclination to do something she was born to do:
  TAKE A SPIN IN CRINOLINE

Do you tango?
Do you dance a lot,
my Sir Lancelot?
Do you cha-cha?
And like me you sure are hot?\

Do you mambo?
Do you Lindy Hop?
Do you slow dance?
And does dancing make your champagne pop?

Do you rumba?
Do you shake your butt about?
Do you do the twist?
Now does it make you scream and shout?

This girl must dance as she must breathe
A two step done from two steps away
A breath apart and ready to dance
Wanting to wiggle and set to sway

Does the band believe in you,
The way that it does me?
Is the music your only muse,
And does the music make you free?

So again I ask you……
Do you tango?
Do you dance a lot,
my Sir Lancelot?
Do you cha-cha?
And like me are you hot?
And just like me, baby, are you hot?
    CHANGE MELODY
So do you want to quick step, Mister?
With me in silk and crinoline
Don’t peek under my dress demure
As you watch me begin to spin

We can rumba and drink some rum
We can ch-ch-chance a cha-cha or two
Put your hands forcefully around my waist
Because Mister, I’m ready to dance with you

You can lead and lead me anywhere
Places you may have seen before
per chane the bar and back again
But I won’t leave this here dance floor
No I won’t leave this here dance floor

Do you tango with your cheek near mine?
And lips so close we share one taste
What is that Mister dancing man,
you don’t dance, oh what a woeful waste?
Yes what a woeful waste

So you don’t tango the way that I do
And your slow dance has slowed to a halt
Well Mister, the fact that you can’t dance
Hell, honey, that ain’t this young chick’s fault

No baby, that ain’t none of this young girl’s fault
No, that ain’t no fault of mine
But let’s not call this love to a halt
Because I said, Mister Mister,
that just ain’t....... that just ain’t my faultttttttttttt!

Better Than Grace

how can we pretend that everything is okay
when the world is soon to turn to grey
I've took this life and its treasures in vane
when you'd easily trade with me any day

you're amazing better than grace
so amazing just can't turn the page
amazing can't find the strength
to gaze at your face and not look away
look what we've done, coming undone
slowly fading away, so amazing
better than grace

you say they gave you less than six months
never thought it could hurt this much
I'd give anything just to save you
oh what can i do, just say because

you're amazing better than grace
so amazing just can't turn the page
amazing can't find the strength
to gaze at your face and not look away
look what we've done, coming undone
slowly fading away, so amazing
better than grace

with every breath we take, just another test today
don't walk away before it's too late
we should all be ashamed of ourselves because

he's amazing better than grace
so amazing just can't turn the page
amazing can't find the strength
to gaze at your face and not look away
look what we've done, coming undone
slowly fading away, so amazing
better than grace

Just Because Of You

I'll write this just because i love you,
I'll write this just because it's true.
I'll write this just because of you,
I'll write this just because i do.

When you smile, I feel alive again,
When you smile, i can feel no pain.
When you smile, my world is free,
When you smile, it feels like you have owned me.

I love you,
I love you.
I love you,
I love you.

Phantom kisser-

A masquerade ball was in full concert when
A charming young man stepped in

He bore a green tunic with gold trim
Mask devilish with a wry grin

His mask bore five feathers atop his brow
In full view of the whole of the crowd

The music stopped and no servant bore his name
No mark of royalty or note of fame

Who is this man whispers a girl
A mystery man, man of the world

His eyes a radiant green breaching the mask
The music starts with a nod no questions asked

His manner quite and shy though confident
Both hands resting behind his torso defiant

Utterly refusing any hand placed before him
A mission is what makes him grim

One girl and only one is his treasured fox
She is sitting at a table near the clocks

A common girl young enough for school
A starving pain runs through him almost cruel

A slow melody is played by the maestro
The gentleman gaze at him to and fro

A hand his placed before her tired eyes
Shear delightful sounds as she cries

An angry man in a red mask stalks toward them
When an older woman steps in front of him

“Let them go” She says
“Why should I” eyes furiously red

To the center of the dancing floor they stroll
The beat picks up with a flick from maestro

Soft beats sound as they come together
Then silence…..weightless like a feather

A dazzling dance wows the place
Enough so to put awe on each face

After the last step and last beat coincide
Their masks come up no more reason to hide

Their lips meet and cheers break out
Like those at a fight awaiting the bout

The commotion was too much for the old man
He stumbled forward to greet the brigand

A chase commenced with the house guards
Even some of the house bards

The Youngman fell and was detained quickly
Then a sound arose from the courtyard sickly

The sound of a sword piercing flesh
A pool of blood and a mess

Unveiling his mask bore only a lad
At this the old man felt sad

The young girl never knew what became of him
Her father detailed his absence to be of a decided whim

In reality he survived after his body was left for dead
A long fever and a month in bed

A preacher picked him up and healed his impaled breast
With medicine and well needed rest

He awoke later to a dream of his lady fair
When he smelt the perfume of roses in the air

A second chance the preacher stated
Yes it was not to be he debated

Now he is an old man sitting and writing this tale
Letting my grandson know not to bail

For I will leave it in my will for his eyes only!

ROCK N ROLL

Rock n roll was started by four guys from across the pond, there was Jerry, Johnny, Carl and a hep cat named Elvis
and later on the Big O. rock n roll was born. Some say it would not last, some say it,s just a fad, a phase people
were going through.but how wrong they were.

Rock n roll is here to stay. Telecaster Fender and Gretsch as well, all played a rockin beat to which we could move our feet.
Teddy boys with their crapes and drapes quiffs and da,s looking so tidy and smart. The Rockabillys as well in their jeans
tee shirts and leather jackets, also with quiffs side burns and Da,s.

One guitar,one drum and one double base and you have a rock a billy band, music that lives on for ever through out
this fine land as you will discover its still very much in demand, The music of Gene, Eddy and Elvis is far from dead.
its stronger than ever its got to be said

Blue sued shoes, love me tender all played so beautiful on a gretsch or fender a sound so sweet and fine that will blow your
mind so my friend to finally say Rock N Roll is not dead hooray.

Daves Song

Music flows from your soul
like a life force deep within
brings you to a place where love shines

Can u it in your veins?
Does the beat match your hearts rythums
Do you envision beauty and peace
with the sound of each note.

(chorus)
music man let the sound engulf me
take me over
entwine me in the mood

Can u feel it in your mind?
Do you see the sun and the stars?
space..filled with your notes
each signified by your creation

Love ain't

" Love ain't "
By Rodney Riggins

Wake up and she's leaving four
in the morning can't believe my eye's
where the **** is she going? shouldn't be
concern cos she made it quite clear I only
have a few days and I'm outta here. Why
must it be this way while I'm here she
lost all respect and she really don't care

She don't love me but that's ok things will
work out some how some way I did my
part but I'm only in the way I must move
on cause It's hurting me to stay

Love ain't easy love ain't sweet when
love goes wrong love can make you weak.
Love can be special love can be deep
love can make u suffer not wanting to
sleep.

Woods, great place to hide from bullies

Beneath the soil lay our roots
Multi-legged insects walking on moss
Working hard to get the fruits
Like lost souls running to the cross
Or hungry new army recruits
With no care of profit or loss

We are the bugs
Commission on narcotic drugs
Watch as we steal the rain
Plants are ruining our brain

We feast together in the swamp
The spiders just want to push us around
They see us and want to stomp
We hide under the ground
I’m here, no fear of the chomp
It’s our other way around

We are the bugs
Commission on narcotic drugs
Watch as we steal the rain
Plants are ruining our brain

One day I hope it will change
The flower tell us one day
Not to far gone to rearrange
Apex of the sun’s way
Move to the balkan mountain range
Rather than be part of the buffet

We are the bugs
Commission on narcotic drugs
Watch as we steal the rain
Plants are ruining our brain

O YULE GIVER

He seems like jolly Santa driving a beat-up car
loaded with lots of presents and while driving
he'll be caroling, greeting everyone waving
at him; and they should put on happy faces,
be kind to each other and exchange embraces...
never thinking it's old-fashioned and bizarre!

O Yule giver, reach out with your kindness,
it's the Holiday Season...why be so greedy,
and not share with the ones less fortunate?
O Yule giver, touch them with your generosity
and they will once again believe in love, not hate!
O Yule give, touch everyone's heart with your gifts!

The festive avenues are the mirror of wonderland,
shops displaying animated figures with merry eyes,
as music plays in a background of twinkling lights;
why shoppers are in such a rush...will the sales soon end?
Look at you, Yule giver...you ring your golden, glittering bell
and spread the Christmas cheer: you have a story to tell!

O Yule giver, remind them who will be born tomorrow:
a Savior and King to take away their pangs of sorrow,
will they believe you and gather around to listen?
They may have never heard of His birth announced by trumpets:
was a stable fit for a heavenly king who God had gladly chosen?
But why such humbleness from above...to instill love in proud hearts?

O Yule giver, you will dazzle and amaze them with a reading from the Holy Book,
and if all stopped and heard of the Nativity story Herod hated:
the smiling babe, who wears no crown would certainly look,
and invite them in to worship Him whom a virgin conceived...
O Yule giver, proclaim the Shepherd who promises eternal joy:
seeing no color or race, but welcomes everyone into the kingdom of endless glory!

Neo Soul in the mirror

Staring in the mirror, listening to a tune or two; quite a few. Feeling overwhelming, yet, spanking brand new. Heart spinning to a rhythm, deja vu', once before, a simple, yet complex groove. Moving, swaying, got me saying, that's my jam!!!! that's my cut, that's what's up!!!! Like Ascension, Maxwell, cast his spell, as he tells me "Don't ever wonder" and in an instant, seems I never do. Then all of a sudden, out of the blue, I hear Erykah Badu, carrying me 'On and On' got my "cycle moving like a rolling stone"!!!! I screeeam with all my might "Love, oooh love, so many people use your name in vain" As the tears start to flow to the basin, Musiq Soulchild let's me know it's all gonna be okay. As Angie Stone, comes along, co-signing it, with "No more rain in this cloud" My sunshine brings to my face a smile. After a word from our sponsor, still standing before the mirror, legs feelin' kinda weak and sore, can't quite understand...... why, nor what for???. Then Jill Scott , reminds me with the " long walk,(we took) around the block, after dark" it seems to spark, another zone, of an reflection, of the trip that we've been on. Whew still swaying, got me saying, I can't believe I let her do this to me. Looking at the mirror with a smile, I hear, Bilal, with his style, let me know, the explanation, before Jill let go, "You must be my soul sista, soul sista!!" all I can say is Whoa! India Arie re-affirms it , with the music, her guitar begins to play, saying" I'm not your average girl from your video,my worth is not determined by the price of my clothes", had my sister yellin' in the other room, "because I am a queen" it seems. It seems, the radio, was ready to let me go, at the end of the DJ's show, then he hit me with some D'Angelo. asking" how does it feel???". Me standing there responding to the mirror, quite clear, Brand spankin' new, in my mind, with each melody, each line, I'm good as gold, reborn, from the depths, with my neo-soul!!!! < /center>

Venus The Queen

A cold sullen night it was the day where the lights would come out and play A dream of dreams in which we couldn't wait The coronation of a celestial queen The brightness's everlasting fate This day was the time where we all could see unless the truth is too blinding Oh sweet bearer of light who's name brings all ignorant fright. Here she comes venus the queen etolie jolie Safe and serene you are the guide Comely and cunning Venus the queen, Etoile jolie Here she comes venus the queen etolie jolie Safe and serene You are my Lucifer Queen Comely and cunning Venus the queen, Etoile Jolie. How great we are to have such a light Where I can finally know my life A guide throughout this eternal night. Freedom and Independence is what you are Never astray a far But tonight the clouds are unchained. Here she comes venus the queen Etolie Jolie Safe and serene You are the guide Comely and cunning Venus the queen, Etoile jolie Here she comes Venus the Queen Etolie Jolie Safe and serene You are my Lucifer Queen Comely and cunning Venus the queen, Etoile Jolie.

forever and always I love you

everyday I wake to your face
your soft skin set in a smile
you make my heart pound
and my pulse race
and I blame you

you make my knees weak
when you smile that smile
when stare at me like
I'm a rare Jewel
and I blame you

my fingers tremble as they reach
your arms pull me in
it's cold outside
I snuggle close to your warmth
my knees shake harder
I blame you

Next time.....
No music plays
It's quiet and I read
eyes swollen from the fight we had
and from the tears that fell out of my eyes
I blame you

I think
and think

and remember
the time we kissed
the time we danced
the times there was no music and we still danced
the times when I was scared of the thunder
and you held me

I remember
what I want to forget is Goodbye
But I don't think I can say it
My heart burns when I dare to

I want to feel your arms
wrap around me
and your voice whispering in my ear
your lips on mine
I blame you

that my heart is broken
that it swells when I think of you
that my legs still shake and quiver when
I find you on the street

tears spill from my eyes
I pick up the phone,
my fingers lingering over the buttons
i can't dial
want to
can't....
I miss you

My heart can't take it....
more tears
my sobs breaking the quiet
sobs broken by the phone

it's you
you say you're sorry
I smile just at your voice
I've missed it
You sound like you've been crying

we were always alike that way
You say another thing
I wait, wanting to hear,
but scared

you say....

you remember
the time we kissed
the time we danced
the times there was no music and we still danced
the times when I was scared of the thunder
and you held me

you've missed me
we both laugh sadly
I say that
I've missed you

we smile,
we imagine it

I love you....

but I don't say it out loud...
at least, not yet.

but, I love you
forever and always

forever and always

La lumière des étoiles d'ambre-

For years I had desired to
write a thing of beauty,
yet beauty, as always, escaped me…
for beauty as I found through
experience and misery,
is merely the plaything of the beautiful:
the acrimonious agent
of their delicate deceit,
invoked:
“La lumière des étoiles d'ambre…”
unattainable to all, reluctantly fey,
betrayed by our delusion
and indefinable inertia,
invoked:
“La lumière des étoiles d'ambre…”

Small Town Big People

I look in the mirror and see the years gone
I can look beyond the glass out the window
To the yards of my childhood
I can smell the flowers and feel the grass ‘neath my feet.
I can hear the music blasting on the radio
Mama callin’ me for supper.

I yearn to go back to that danged town
I fought to get away and never look back,
I never wanted to live there again.
I guess there’s a piece of me
There in that little town.

The town is small and so are the events
You’re everyone’s business
You can get a break and can’t get away
You don’t even have a say
You go to and from and people protest
And those same people will still put you to the test

I yearn to go back to that danged town
I fought to get away and never look back,
I never wanted to live there again.
I guess there’s a piece of me
There in that little town.

I made it to the big town K.C,
Got myself a husband and a son and a place to live
Settled in and made a life, got a career
I swear I’ll never return to my best friend
Comfortable where I stand,
Happy where I am

I yearn to go back to that danged town
I fought to get away and never look back,
I never wanted to live there again.
I guess there’s a piece of me
There in that little town.

Well times are hard,
And people are ruthless in this cut throat time
Jobs are scarce and bills run high
You never know what you’ll hear at night
The people are small in this big town
Yeah people are small in this big town

I yearn to go back to that danged town
I fought to get away and never look back,
I never wanted to live there again.
I guess there’s a piece of me
There in that little town.

I guess the town is small
Just good ol’ boys and girls havin’ fun
Small place, small town, small world
People may talk and people may watch
But the biggest thing in that small town
Are the people after all.

I yearn to go back to that danged town
I fought to get away and never look back,
I never wanted to live there again.
I guess there’s a piece of me

The dustbowl troubadour

My tribute to Woody Guthrie.

The dust bowl troubadour.

Once when I was just a stud
I loved the folky crowd
I would listen well to Bob Dylan
[I immersed him in a shroud]
Then Donovan, and Joanie Baez
I loved them and their ways
Through Them I found my legend ‘Woody’
Oh, these were happy days.

Old Woody he inspired them all
All the folkies of that time
And me, I just adored the man
His rhythm and his rhyme
I love the things he sang about
That Dust bowl troubadour
Two thousand songs they say he wrote
Me-thinks it might be more.

As Woody rode those railways lines
He would fruit pick and he’d sing
He always carried his old guitar
As to poor folk he would bring
Sweet laughter and much happiness
For those his heart did touch
And all those dust bowl refugees
They loved this man so much

romantic christmas

christmas is about sharing,giving, and happiness,
but it also about relationships,
and love!

I can\'t wait to spend Christmas with you,
dancing all night,
and when out side alone with ur hands wraped around mine,
we will kiss, the snow will start to fall,
and you will look in my eyes and say \' i love you\' .

Like i said, Christmas is a time for caring, sharing and joy
But Christmas is also a time for relationships and love, even if you spend it with
just your friend!

fado

Fado
What do we do with Fado, this guitar sound and
guttural Portuguese voice that has a twang of
Arabia in its heart and is pure poesy.

Life, loss longing and the finality of death, is in
songs that celebrate love’s unbearable sweetness,
our tragedy and the unobtainable.

Yes, sing me a Fado, let me hear the guitar and
I will close my eyes float in a sea of melancholy
and remember you.

a new york warmth

On and on I don’t wanna go home
Just the lovely words of another sad song
Holding on, it’s too late to go home
Just the lonely words of another sad song

Every now and then
I don’t wanna turn left
Just the path I martyr
On the way to no where
Could you envision me
No longer sadly
These are the lovely words

As we go
On and on I don’t wanna go home
Just the lovely words of another sad song
And we sing
Holding on, it’s too late to go home
Just the lonely words of another sad song

Back and forth
Are the trials we cure
Would you hold me more
If you found me impure
And we’re holding on
Cause it’s too late to go home

As we go
On and on I don’t wanna go home
Just the lovely words of another sad song
And we sing
Holding on, it’s too late to go home
Just the lonely words of another sad song

On the park side of town
Silence is a muffled sound
No apologies
Like sea gulls
We are standing free
We’re holding on
Cause there’s no better place to be

So let it snow
Go here, there, and before
She asked me to leave
I kindly closed the door
Theses are the times
We wish not to endure
We look for warm meals
Band aids
A sore throat to absorb the cure
Lungs commenced to whispers
Profoundly within your ear
A little something
To keep your thoughts pure
I could ask for no more
Than sun lit days
That hover above the clouds
And shadow
The doubts we adore

The Ethereal Mistress

She comes to me in the night so black. She takes my hand, but then She turns back. And I call to You, Crying out into the night. As I'll follow You When You lead me away from the light. Like I always do, But in sudden fear, I fall. For I never knew Why Her kiss consumes us all. This nightly proceeding Of weeping and bleeding Only makes Her face clearer to my mind A figure so pure, and skin so pale, But Her beauty hidden by an ashen veil. Her eyes bewitch, and Her body, it sways. Though my love is fleeting, And, so, a maiden She stays.

7 years of a decade

It was my first day of summer school
I dipped out and said "i don't know how to lose"
Time passed fast
And i'm quite sure i failed to last
So welcome back to the one-way road

The summer i met Vicki Marie
told me if there's one thing she'd change
It'd be my way of thinking
Living so carefree
I can't turn back or keep from sinking

Brandon played and ripped that guitar
Madison said we wouldn't get far
Everyone else said "you don't know who you are"
Taking shots down at the local bar
The riots outside the Dejavu
Holly's telling me "I miss you too"

said you were my brother
We'd be friends forever
I can't tell you howmany times
I think back on those days

But i wouldn't change a thing
I would've fought a little harder
Two for one at the local pub
I don't wanna die a martyr
when things fall apart
you got to try a little harder

If i could go back i wouldn't change a thing
Even if it wasn't meant to be
She said, "hey dude
you guys are living so carefree
I too, want to have the time of my life"

Memories of a Different Time

The song came on my radio and it took me back to ten years ago
The second time I heard the song, I began to sing along
It sang about the cold sad day when the music died and went away
I missed those days when the songs were true
But I was a fan of the Quartet and the Jester too
James Dean and the girl who sang the blues
Were obituaries in the morning news
New music that they were putting out
Were mixed with drugs and political clout
With the Jester hurt and the Quartet gone
New bands would try to carry on
But the music couldn’t match the scene
Back to the days when the door was green
So I say Bye Bye to Miss American Pie
Sometimes the music can make me cry
I know down deep within my soul
I still believe in Rock N’ Roll
I was only twelve and walking down town
When I heard that the trio’s plane went down
I saw the music rearranged
The tune was different and the lyrics changed.
This song was like a nursery rhyme
Bringing memories of a different time
So I listen to it every once in a while
And remember how it made me smile
February still brings me pain
But thanks for the memories Don McLean.

Poetic tribute to Don McLean

Losing Man's Blues

Like a leaf blowing in the wind,
been up and down this dusty trail
here to there, back here again,
my reckless laid plans on the rail.

I used to act like a crown jewel,
not knowing this was high stakes poker,
but life’s cruel, caught being a fool,
my deck stacked full of jokers.

Head still sizzling from the trial,
was the fault yours, maybe mine,
I was the one who got nailed,
doing time in cell number 9.

My heart can’t accept the truth,
my life, a living sacrifice,
with nothing left to lose,
except for these losing man’s blues…

When I get out of this jail,
I will stay on the right side of the line,
walk the straight and narrow,
buff up these ‘ol’ shoes ‘til’ they shine.

Stop my rambling, gambling ways,
get a good hearted woman, sette down,
hunt me up a little cabin,
in some forgotten lonesome town..

Once I untie these chains that bind;
been tried and found wanting
by the courtroom of life,
this past won’t stop its haunting,
my mind at the end of the line.

My heart can’t accept the truth,
my life, a living sacrifice,
with nothing left to lose,
excepting these losing man’s blues…

Accepting these lonesome blues

Two Thousand And Eight

two thousand and eight
of years that passed by
humans and animals
are living under the same blue sky

and my seventeen years
will come to an end
reaching a mark of eighteen
its a cycle all over again

so i take my hope and crush it open
i take my courage and force it out
with no where to see, or no where to go
only my voice, i will still shout it out loud.

because its not over, nor is it an end
we do still see us, and our lives
because we are still standing here and then
we'll only move forward,
and forward, we began to survive.

no turning back
no looking around
there is no whispers of hope
but there is a sound

so we follow these steps
and we seek a treasure
a treasure of peace
of peace, it'll bring us happiness

there's no giving up
no tears of despair
hush, don't cry now
don't you dare.

we're still here
and we're still strong
we're still alive
in places we all belong

don't get lost
just hear this cry.
two thousand and eight
of years had just gone by.

LEARN HOW TO FIGHT YOUR BLUES

Write yourself the silliest song...
when everything seems dark and dull,
and all that can be changed for all;
write and just sing along!

Learn how to fight your blues
with the quickest remedy: think of sunshine,
never of rain; dream of rainbows
over the distant horizon!
For every sad mood that lingerd for too long,
there's a world of surprises waiting in your song!

Most people think that loving themselves
is enough to complete their mission in life,
but I tell you otherwise: love others
more than you love yourself,
and you'll be rewarded in due time:
look at the lives of those great givers!

Learn how to fight your blues,
and there's no way you can lose;
if everything were easy, nobody would complain...
going up-hill is too tough for the weak,
gather your strength and be the first to reap
whatever you deserved and wasn't given!

Write yourself the happiest song,
look up and merrily sing along!

Songs of Louis Capart

Songs of Louis
Capart
-by Bob Atkinson

simple phrases
satisfy

although messages
pass me by

deep within the
voice of sentiment

moves a heart toward
contentment

driving again down a
road

ample farms of crops
unknown

to Dijon up from
Paris

could have been just
any place

City of Light still
inspires

six story limit
gives up an aura

expanding
possibilities for
space

room for sidewalk
dining tables

Treff am Rex written
on pages

a story told of
feckless craving

someday bright
screen will show

how heart's desire
grows and grows

Capart's voice
transcends my mind

could be from any
decade past

language used to
paint the sun

drives in toward all
meanings of

past good times or
future fun

satisfaction sipping
a coffee cup

successful endeavor
or busted run

no matter, has all
been fun

no matter now, all
will wait

for this album to
run its pace

settled feelings of
quiet grace

all bodes well, no
wild cast rage

thank you Capart for
morning mood

of my time within
mind's groove

language meaning
escapes my thought

yet this feeling
ever locks

me into awareness of
satisfaction

allowed this morning
from reaction

to words describing
your desire

to entertain with
heart filled fire

Definately (Love)

He gave me a kiss with his eyes.
He, using his smile, held me wrapped so tight.
He brought me joy beyond words because he used none,
Made me sing to music without a song.
"But how?" You might ask me.
"Was it magic?" Maybe.
"Love?" Definately.
"Or could it all be a dream?"
Um...possibly?
But, no! It couldn't have been!
You weren't me when I was with him,
When he kissed me with his eyes,
When my knees went weak and I felt I could fly,
When I,
With all of my inhibitions gone,
Sang to music without a song.
So, was it a dream?
No, but love? Definately.

Love is

The thoughts I think I surely know
that what I think you're thinking too

The very thoughts I have some time
is at that moment on your mind

The things we think and say and do
the other one is thinking too

A love like ours will never die
it only grows to higher heights
and deepens as the time go by

Morbid Irony

While I lay here
Staring my fate
Square into obscurity
Left with nothing but promises
Of forgotten grandeur

Leaving behind epic depths
Of visions
Illusions
Confusions, beyond credibility

A string of events one could not forsee
Refusal to uphold unrealistic
And idealistic states of abstraction

Thus bringing us lucid and coherent
Understandings of the truth
Perhaps revealing consummate contentment
No more resentments
Of past discontentment
These vast extents of torments
Preventing  one from ascending
Into unending bliss
Where the unmerciful bind you
Overextending
Subdued

Mistakes I have made

Lessons learned
Love beckoned

A song in my heart
You in my arms

Strike up the band

Songs Learnt at Daddy's Knee

My Pa warn't much for music,
Not like ya hear today.
Them tune he learnt and taught me,
Were from a bygone day.
But Saturday nights were special;
At least they were to me.
Cause that was when we'd play them songs
I learnt at Daddy's knee.

Bald headed as a cue ball,
A grin from ear to ear.
He'd hum and play, and out would come
That music I'd revere.
He'd plunk his old five-stringer,
I'd make my old blues harp sing.
Ole Blue would start a-howling,
Till you couldn?t hear a thing.

Then Ma sung "Rock of Ages"
Her voice was pure delight.
The cats and dogs got terrorized,
And ran off into the night.
We'd continue our commotion,
Then really harmonize.
You knew the blend was perfect,
'Cause there'd be tears in Papa's eye.

Them old songs, sad and poignant,
Would soak you to the bone.
You could hear an old train whistle,
Or feel the chain gang moan.
Stooped right there with the slave man,
As he toiled out in the sun.
Or I'd sense the wild Missouri,
Watch it ripple, see it run.

We'd walk streets of Laredo,
A poor cowboy in the dirt,
His last request while dying,
With blood caked on his shirt.
Special words and music,
At least they were to me.
Sad old songs, just known to us,
Learnt there at Daddy's knee.

Well, Pa's been gone for ages,
Though it seems like yesterday,
When we would play together,
The world would flow away.
There's night your mind just wanders back,
On how it used to be.
So long ago, in simple times,
And the music at his knee.

I'll grasp my old harmonica,
Now cracked and full of rust.
Then squeak and squawk a couple notes,
And soon there's only us.
Out'a nowhere comes the fragrance
Of heady mountain dew.
Smoke rolling in an old wood stove,
As it dances up the flue.

As I fall back to Laredo,
The chain gang hammers ring,
I Taste dust from Georgia cotton fields,
As my harp begins to sing.
And then I hear his banjo,
I sense his presence near,
Oh God, I loved this music,
That only I can hear.

While in my head we're playing
And truly harmonize.
It must be close to perfect,
Tears mist my weathered eyes.
Again, we play together,
Just like it used to be.
For only I now know the songs
I learned at Daddy's knee....

the steps of boardwalk city

People are like cities
They’re beautiful at first
Cities are like people
They hold on to the worst
People are you and I
We mirror most of the hurt

I don’t believe in quarters
Pleasing wishing wells or
That waterfalls’ never break flow
Children of ruins and run
With no place to go

I miss the things
That I have forgotten
I can honestly say the most
For the people who were brought to me

And you should know
Bed time stories were nothing more than lies
And now you know
Why beggars and grown men with no homes
Have the best stories to tell

People are like cities
They’re left in ruins
Cities are like people
They’re broken in places
I can honestly say the most
For the people who were brought to me

Catherine’s in tears
But she lust for bachelors and ball room curtains
Rebecca moans
But there no rose petals in this empty city
Her mirror smiles and tells her she’s un-pretty
Sons of train stops
Children of rain drops
Orphans of this boardwalk city
Words cannot heal your wounds
But if helps your more than lovely

After Listening to The Association

    "Songs in the Wind"
a marvelous tune
    The 60's produced some
beautiful sounds
   The flute, and ah - the vocals
Dance in one's mind
   Like a piece of eight
Have you seen the wind recently?
It is still there blowing warm from the South
  The wind sing songs
   sweeter than any produced
      by the hand of man

The Passionate Poet to Alicia Keys

 Come live with me and be my love
You'd see my heart is open
There has never been a greater love
Nor greater words have been spoken

If you'd stand by me your feet will never ever tire
I'd carry you on like a carriage two horses and four tires
I'd take you to a place where everyone will adore you
But I push play like remote controls so only I could enjoy you

Let you express your love for me and I'd listen and I'd listen
Your words are gifts to a thirsty soul, and this is Christmas
Let you lullaby me to a place safe as a critter in a willow
We'd get dizzy eyed, but it's alright, you can fall to sleep on my pillow

Pain is rare when you're around
I got that of joy from you
If you sat up on a cloud
I'd risk the fall just to touch you

What's old is classic what's new is birth
That's all I can think of
You are Mother Nature to my earth
Come live with me and be my love

STOP THIS WORLD

I also write music and song lyrics.
This poem is one of my song lyrics. after all song lyrics is just a poem put to
music.
              course
Stop this world and let me off.
IM tired of spinning around and around.
Stop this world and let me off,
before I fall to the ground.
            first verse
Your love is like a spinning top.
Dont know when its going to stop.
You play love like it was a game
and your always looking for some else to blame.
                course
Stop this world and let me off
IM tired of spinning around and around.
Stop this world and let me off
before I fall to the ground
             second verse
Your love is like a mystery
You keep me guessing if you love me.
Your love is of a special kind.
I love you,but your driving me out of my mind
                  course
Stop this world and let me off.
IM tired of spinning around and around.
Stop this world and let me off
before I fall to the ground

Invisible

Being invisble
Like I was not there at all

Being unnoticed
Like there is a chance I could fall

Being too far away
Like I have forgoteen how you smiled

Being alone
Like the world is nothing in my life

Because I was invisble to you
Because I could not be seen
Because I haven't seen you
Because we forgotten everything

Being invisible
Like there's nothing but air

Being hollow
Like being erased undeclared

Being the Only One
Like the world is not fair

Being so Curious
Like I wanted to know what's not there

As I passed through dimensions of time
As i walked the earth with my own two feet
My world became so dark without the light
Everything just come and flow like a passing wind

Being Invisible
And that's what am I now..

I am invisible
I am unable to come around

Because you can never see me now

Melodious Sound to a Harmonious Beat

Dang I can hear it,
I can hear it again and again,
And I’m stuck this time around,
Thinkin bout a harmonious beat,
Matching to a melodious Sound,
Taking my nerves to another height,
Far beyond sight far above ground,

And its this harmonious beat,
Matching to a melodious sound,
Lifting me from my seat,
Taking me to another height,

And I know that she can feel it too,
Because its like,
A to the word attraction,
The other half to a fraction,
Leading to my hearts satisfaction,

And its this harmonious beat,
Matching to a melodious sound,
Lifting me from my seat,
Taking me to another height,
Making me feel like the doves,
Flying together,
As though they’re a pair of gloves,
Flying together in near perfect harmony,
Making me think we could be,
With her safe in my arms,
And her keeping harm from me,
Except I’ll have to see it,
I’ll have to be brave,
I’ll have to come up to her,
And be the caveman without the cave,
Because I can hear it girl,
And it’s like,

This harmonious beat,
Matching to a melodious sound,
Lifting me from my seat,
Taking me to another height.

The Color of Your Goodbye

I love the purple of the mountain peaks at twilight,
Yes, and I love the same color in the wine glass after midnight,
And I love the silver on the ocean in the moonlight…
But you’ve exposed me to something new:

It’s the blue of your eye,
It’s that bleak November sky,
Darling, you’ve painted me the color of goodbye.

I love the music on the Southern country radio,
Yes, and I love those guitars on the back porch in the ghetto,
And I love Memphis music in a jazz club out in Frisco…
But you’ve acquainted me with something new:

Darling, you’ve painted me the color of goodbye.

Don't Follow Me

Picture features stretched and strained
Hearing unfamiliar names
Knowing if I let them in
That I’ll be taking all the blame

Oh, your pain it scares me so
Weird connections but I know
That I’ll never want to show
How we face a common foe

Falling faster sweeter still
Sitting on your window sill
Razors hidden in the frame
Some where I know more remain

Oh my sweethearts, oh my friends
Can’t you see the cold in me?
Remember the fun never ends
You have but to turn the key
Don’t follow me or you might fall
Don’t follow, I run into walls!

A knife tucked in your pillow case
A smile plastered on your face
Exactos slipped in every book
Sharp bits hid in every nook!

Orange and purple, blue and green
Colors deeper than they seem
But I know every one can see
Red is under every thing!

Long and loose, my cut-off sleeves
Sweaters under bright green leaves
With all this darkness pouring in
I hope no one asks me to swim.

Oh my sweethearts, oh my friends
Can’t you see the cold in me?
Remember the fun never ends
You have but to turn the key
Don’t follow me or you might fall
Don’t follow, I run into walls!

Friends gather from near and far
Bumming rides and stealing cars
A little love shouldn’t be this hard
But talking won’t rub away my scars

And though I feel it’s hopeless
And though I feel the heat seep in
I try so hard to quit this
But I never seem to win

Girls you know I love you so
But when my hands begin to glow
I just need to fade it out
Pain is what it’s all about

Don’t follow me or you will see
Steak knives hidden in the trees
Razors stashed through-out the halls
Remember I run into walls!

Remember I run into walls!
Remember I run into walls!
(whisper)Remember I run into walls…
And where ever I’m wont to tread
I’m always hanging by a thread
Cradling my spinning head
From all the things I haven’t said
I know I’ll never have it all
Answering a distant call
Stop following to see me fall
DON’T FOLLOW! I RUN INTO WALLS!

HOW I LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED...

The lovely thought of being remembered...
rarely crosses the unperceptive mind
of the uncaring ones who live life all for themselves,
and one day soon...all that will change;
on their last, expiring breath...
they cannot call on anyone who's not standing by!

How I like to be remembered...
is to think of me as simple and wise,
loving as true as anyone else; no regret
for having been helpful and kind!
And this name will be honored and read out aloud
by a generation that never knew me at all,
and it's the legacy of an undying spirit:
still challenging and vibrant!

Many great men and women have come before me,
and I don't call myself the greatest...most certaintly;
this decision is left to the lovers of literature;
all they will see is my distinguished signature
on the bottom of each poem and song...
how wonderful it would be to hear them recite and sing along!

On my tombstone...in a country not of my own, flowers
will bob upon my gleaming grass,
and undearneath the cold soil I will rest;
and my body will become a skeleton without flesh;
it's everyone's destiny to turn into dust,
until we are resurrected by that Almighty voice!

Like the very fragile petals of a rose,so perfumed,
that will scatter before the flight of the gull;
I'd like to float as brightly as these after dawn:
to be elevated by my spirituality
and reach that place of profound serenity,
thinking how I like to be remembered...

CROSSING THOSE BRIDGES OF WONDER

The turbid clouds hover mountains
of fluttering maples,spruces and pines
while I am crossing those bridges of wonder,
adjoined by sturdy steel cables
that even an impetuous wind couldn't oscillate;
man's ingenuity outwitting Mother Nature...
a tuneful voice rising from a spirit that perpetuates!

Rageful rivers resent their lament,
as fast currents struggle to find an inlet;
my hard breath surrenders
to an unchallenged fear!
From above danger is like the force of gravity,
I race with a brave face, but the harsh wind
still whips it with the strength of a twister,
blowing the pristine white sand...
turning it into a whirling dust cloud
only to diminish my visibility!

Let me cross those bridges of wonder,
in spite of lightning and thunder...
I'll brave the fiercest storm,
as long as courage allows me to proceed;
night may come as quickly as frightening thoughts,
but nothing would make my will recede
to a darkness that suppresses the freedom of choice!

When warriors are faced by a threat,
they don't turn back and accept defeat,
no doubt can thwart their plan:
it's either death or glory,
unsurmountable pain or joy;
their ego is hardly broken through dire!
Ah! See them crossing those bridges of wander,
and like me, they rejoice when the battle ends!

SANTA'S NEW CHRISTMAS DANCE

Verse I

Don't ask for presents
and check your stockings
hanging by the fire place where the log crackles;
you are in for a big surprise this quite evening:
kids, dance with Santa on snowy Christmas's Eve...
put on the best smile and hear the reindeer's bells!

Chorus:

Kids, dance with Santa and swing your legs and arms 'till you fall;
jump up, go around once, stop, jump up, go around twice,
until his tired feet ache and you laugh at his funny groans!
Get the hang of it, dance with him he's so nice...
hold on, stay on the dance floor...see Santa's belly bounce!
Kids, dance with Santa and sing a lovely carol!

Verse II

Don't complain like grouches, and tell him he's another chubby Grinch;
he is a different kind of Santa...he doesn't bring any expensive gifts!
Oh, no Santa is not stingy, just the oldest messenger of good cheers;
you may be disappointed a lot, but please don't tarnish his image!
He came here to teach you the new Christmas dance with rhythm;
watch his steps and learn to dance within the allowed range!

Ending:

I don't like those long faces, kids dance with Santa on this Christmas Eve;
you'll forget about your presents expectations...you wouldn't want to leave!

Entered in Deborah Guzzi's Holiday Songs In Poetry Form. Style: Moderate Rock Ballad.
I will set my song to music and publish it next year. I doesn't have a melody to be sung
to.

**Lacey Mosely of Flyleaf** You can't turn back the hands of time. You can't give up because you feel so alone, so abandoned, so useless, without a purpose in life. He gave His life for you to live yours. The troubled spirit haunting you silently lingers. Lacey screams, her voice breaking free. Forgive me, forgive me. The truth echoing through, forever in the light I will serve you. Lacey sings, her voice eternally broken free. I believe, I believe. You found your path. You know that you cannot change the past. Broken within, you have found the courage to begin again. Breathing as each day goes by, you now know that you always had a purpose in this life. You smile to yourself, and know that it is real. Awakened you find the strength to heal. Lacey screams, her voice breaking free. Forgive me, forgive me. The truth echoing through, forever in the light I will serve you. Lacey sings, her voice eternally broken free. I believe, I believe. Tonight she knows that she is free. Lacey found the light. Inside she screams. Forgive me. I believe, I believe. Lacey screams, her voice breaking free. Forgive me, forgive me. The truth echoing through, forever in the light I will serve you. Lacey sings, her voice eternally broken free. I believe, I believe. Lacey sings, her voice eternally broken free. Jesus Christ, saved me. I believe, I believe.

THEY DONT WRITE COUNTRY SONGS LIKE THEY USE TO

They dont write country music like they use to.
About love gone wrong, nothing more to lose
No They dont write country SONGS like they use to.
About moma,trains and booze.

Old HANK would turn over in his grave,.
if he heard the songs of today.
The country songs of today, dont seem to last.
Like the old country classic songs of the past.

Times has change,the songs of today are new and strange
There not like the songs we all knew
No they dont write country songs like they use to.
So we can all sing to.
Its sad,but it is true.
They dont write country songs like they use to

I'M LOUDLY SINGING FOR JESUS...MY REDEEMER!

Everyone is with someone else they can't stay apart,
and this sadness shouldn't be mine today or ever...
because His birth makes light much brighter
in this lonely soul searching for comfort,
and that's why I'm loudly singing for Jesus: my Redeemer!

What I feel comes from a heart that desperately
desires its tears to erase what has been its yesterday,
and loudly singing for Jesus:  my Redeemer does me good;
praising His coming and proclaiming Him my Lord!

Nobody more than I...has the urge to be consoled,
when arms don't open to welcome me inside;
and His mighty arms, although trembling and small,
open up in loving gesture to greet my call!

Come Jesus, friend of gentle hearts and kind souls,
spend Your day telling me what is in store for me;
how Heaven echoes of the angelic, eternal voices...
unlikely the earth that waits for a Savior to end its misery!

Without instrument, music sheets, or choir on a snowy day:
I'm loudly singing for Jesus...my Redeemer in the simplest way,
and my gladness is expressed in every verse of my song;
oh, how I'd like to thrill baby Jesus with the words I sing!

I'm loudly singing for Jesus...my Redeemer,
as I shiver under the cold sky of December!

Absolutely Captivating

The way she entered
Instantaneously stunning everyone in the room
Putting a hex on anyone in her path
Her bright eyes illuminate the room
A fresh perfume certainly intoxicating
As these whispers begin to stir
As this wondrous beauties extravagance
Radiates so much energy
Elevating a curious interest
She mingles ever-so graciously
Quite exquisite
Yet almost seeming coy
She seems to be overdue for a real conversation
Due to her immense beauty
All of these delinquent amateurs waste her time
On pointless pick up lines
Maybe next time
You should exercise some civilized behavior
And you just may romanticize

the blues of ugly people

Ugly people
We living in a world with a hole in it
We living life ugly
But we make the world go round

Would you think I was hopeless
If I led you astray with a song
Whom else are you willing to cope with
I’ve gone missing within your arms

The future
It won’t be here to grace your face
And tomorrow just won’t take you in
Don’t you love your poets
Writers from within your storm

Tenderly, I’ve grown so cold
That my days no longer keep me warm
Capsuled in a city of dreary moments
And I’m hearing there’s more a coming

As indecent as a man who knows not to feel
Searching for a wagon wheel
Up from midnight and on until
Why don’t you sing with me
See how much time we can kill

We’re just ugly people
Living in a world with a hole in it
Don’t you love this ugly person
I don’t do much at all
Just doing my part, living life ugly
But I make the world go round

“It’s lovely isn’t it
Ugly people,
We’re beautiful aren’t we”

heaven just seems so far away

I hear your word and I know the truth
No fear of death in this unknown place
Sprits going to rise up across the human race
Wise men tell me what to do in my day

Heaven just seems so far today
Lord come down take me away

Thoughts fill my head bring the once dead to life
Will there be other men of god after me
Want to feed the hungry help the blind see the word
Need to find the answers of the questions of this world

Heaven just seems so far today
Lord come down take me away

Lord forgive us for all the sin we have had
All the bad it’s so sad but now I’m glad I found the lord
So many lost children never to be found
We are all homeward bound from here

The Year 2000

Where have all the ranchers gone?
Long time passing,
Where have all the ranchers gone?
Long time ago,
Where have all the ranchers gone?
Slowly broke one by one.
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the cattle gone?
Long time passing,
Where have all the cattle gone?
Long time ago,
Where have all the cattle gone?
Gone to slaughter everyone,
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where has all the red meat gone?
Long time passing,
Where has all the red meat gone?
Long time ago.
Where has all the red meat gone?
It's just a memory like the sun!
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the butchers gone?
Long time passing,
Where have all the butchers gone?
Long time ago,
Where have all the butchers gone?
They're on welfare everyone.
When will they ever  learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have the healthy children gone?
Long time passing,
Where have the healthy children gone:
Long time ago.
Where have the healtly children gone?
Gone to rickets everyone.
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where has America gone?
Long time passing,
Where has America gone?
Long time ago.
Where has America gone?
We thank the folks in Washington!
Why couldn't they see it come?
Why couldn't they see it come?

Used to be Controlled by a Tyrant of lies Then one day The swift unseen knights Came and stormed all who Deteste the Aquarian Wish Be Free and live long we are the Children of Concordia Nothing shall be in our way Comely as what a Siren signs Bravery of what a Lion brings The Grey Haven lies beyond the mist The Children of Concordia They have no word for trist Will you let me join your world? Will you open up the doors? A people of concord and more than they seem They live in the shadows of an Aquarian Dream A place of Liberty and Harmony Ruled by magic and Lore Deep in the Golden forest of Clarity Filled with enchanting tales Of Immortality and evil’s causalities You can find Eden’s people she said what humans were meant to be Comely as what a Siren signs Bravery of what a Lion brings The Grey Haven lies beyond the mist The Children of Concordia They have no word for TristWill you let me join your world? a Novel Time

Sometimes you learn to look at things
As if they are to get no better

Like single mothers on the first days of January
A hymn for the things you’d love to change
A prayer for the things you cannot

There is no new year for people like me
Only a continuation of stress to be
Life deals us blows and my songs are tired

I’ve heard that happiness is a tale untold
In order to pursue this wish
One is required to hide beyond blue skies

Like life is love
Death is a cold hug
I’ll patiently wait

The Flautist

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~THE FLAUTIST  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 THE FLAUTIST fluently flaunted her flute- Music flew faultlessly through the airwaves,flying fluidly above the noise of the blustering city
THE fLAUTIST created a calm fragrance,who's flavor of creativity fell-well onto your soul creating a soul stirring calmness across the city.
She played her flute clean into the night  vehemently, over the feverish chaos - And the people in the park and  in the city could hear clearly as they walked in rhythmic tunes/ She flaunted her music like sweet low hanging fruit, Her music dangled beautiful and singly.  She alone,Solo-ed notes of delightful serenity-
  The flautist moved the masses to a state of bliss;Like free kisses flying in the wind landing on ears conquering and engaging spirits ,conquering pandemonium with her flute, she blew her flute... SHE BLEW HER FLUTE, and we marched and listened obediently . She blew her flute and we marched magnificently to her concert.
He stood
He stood on the shores,
looking out at the crowed
all the faces that stair back at him,
Teach us they said,
about heaven
give us that living water
that you talk about.
Show us the way
to eternal life,
forgive us our sins,
He stood their for a minute,
without word he blessed the fish,
and the bread so all would eat
he showed them miracles they
did not understand.
then quietly  departed to
the other side of the sea.
They followed him calling him master
the son of man.
Jesus was his name.
This Day
You just smiled
As I continued to walk by.
You caught the reflection of the ring
And the sparkle in my eye.
A tarnished ring on a tarnished chain,
Just like "My First Love"
But now that love is over.
Everything's said and done.
You realized what you had
As she walks up from behind.
It registers on my face but not hers
When the sadness came to your eyes.
I could see it and I wanted to stop,
But at the same time I knew we were through.
She just continued with her story,
Not noticing something's wrong with you.
You tried to keep smiling
As I made myself walk by.
You saw the ring around my neck
And we both tried not to cry.
Time moved on and so did we.
We should just walk away,
And when we think about our memories,
We'll both add in this day.
Eight Tiny Notes
With eight tiny notes
In music called, the scale
God creates through us
Millions of songs to avail
In such small beginnings
Such growth potential so large
To glorify our Lord
His Majesty to enlarge.
Eight tiny notes
With some relevant flats and sharps
Touch the life and the soul
Like angel’s playing from harps.
Music has a special place—
The Holy Spirit to use
This wonder from God above
Man does sometimes abuse.
Eight tiny notes
Is all that it takes
To produce a symphony
Melody and harmony its stakes.
God requires so little
To work through us all
When to our Father
We reach out and call.
Eight tiny notes
On the piano or guitar
Produce a limitless scope
Of sounds near and far
Music so sweet to our ears
Even the angels draw near
On those eight tiny notes
All music does finally bear.
MOMENTS LIVED INTO A SILVER NIGHT...
Spellbound by the shimmering moonlight by the silent lagoon,
the oldest witness to every lover's secrets in enchanted Venice,
whispering soft words, afraid of being stolen by that stranger
who could be a wanderer or an intruder...
the dry leaves, beneath the drooping pine trees,
will crackle if he attempts to hear them too soon!
Moments lived into a silver night,
when the narrow streets are empty and dark
and the gondolas rest at the quite docks,
are as magical as the warm glow in these cheerful eyes;
and if our hands seem so frantic,
our quick thougths may be less romantic!
Following the trail of the ascending moon,
how loneliness is detected in her glance...
if we stare at her melancholic face!
And should we bring her a little comfort
by singing her the tune of a lovely song,
but how long will her presence loom?
Moments lived into a silver night...
are wonderfully remembered through a lifetime,
even more than that one unforgettable kiss...
while the gondolier rows the gondola through the canals
of a city that still withstands the fury of tides;
will another city be as beautiful as this?
We'll die before Venice will completely
disappear into the Adriatic Sea...
so let's cherish these moments of ecstasy,
and leave something to remember us by;
I'll write the words and the melody,
and you will sing it to her sweetly!
Moments lived into a silver night...
linger among these strong and old walls of Venice:
where the legendary Marco Polo slept,
where ordinary and famous people wept;
fall asleep on my chest and feel the sea-breeze,
by morning we'll be awaked by a brilliant light!
Last Will & Testament
To Mr. Otto Osips Ochs
My friend, the dream is exhausted
But as long as you chase it, I will follow
Mr. Dylan Thomas
Perhaps destiny it’s self will spare us
To yours, mine, our struggle
Their smiles
Here’s to serenity
Accept this peace
To those who do not understand
Perhaps you never will
To Forsythe
Orange monkeys, brown bricks
To Fallen days
Summer musk smirks
So we wish upon autumn stories
And still recall a sudden May
The Garden district
Birds feed, individuals chirp
The sudden closure that lurks
To holidays
Like people they come, they go
To Knowledge
What is good language?
Ignorance, my southern king
My Etruscan dancer
Kiss the mistletoe of your beloved tragedy
Emerson
I beg of you
Keep your self reliance
So I ask you, what do you do?
When life points all its fingers at you?
To End, despair, and happiness
Why not just coexist within struggles
To the most adorable infants
I insist that you cry
Because in the future
When things go not your way
Your peers and I
Will simply tell you to stop whining
To harmony
I’d rather have your faults than marry
My well wishers
It’s been fun
Children
I insist that you play
Enjoy the withered ways of the hours that fade
When life begins to settle around you
You begin to only focus on
What you have to do
To the harlots I lay with in
You can do better than me
To those whom stood foot in sand
Wrap your self in a warm memory and let it be
To fatal attraction
What ever happened to you?
Caesar
Until the end, my friend
Brutus
My lord this is as far as we go
To my viewers
I leave you my despair
My expired whereabouts
My truth in well being
Deceit
I leave you my absence on days I do not miss
My love
My only beleaguered wish
To life
The darkness I continue to kiss
To my conscience
I cannot get over you
To the world
The end, all is yours
To our sun
The moon, the blemishing
To Phoebe
Be eternal, mark, and benefit from it
To relinquishing
I keep trotting
To this decision in essence
Where will I go?
For now, I do not know
But maybe that’s the significance in the matter
To Colorado
I look forward to our rendezvous and tryst
To departure
A lavender scent
To laughter
A soothing melody to present
To my tears
You are nothing more than failing worries
To Eternity
Time seems wounded, love please hurry
To Monroe Louisiana
Maybe I’ll see you all around sometime
As for my will
I leave none, it carries on within me
Slightly Askew
Lately it appears
As if something is missing
That spark's not quite there
Have you started dismissing
By becoming increasingly distant
Are you growing immune
At an inopportune moment
Unfortunate events
Are now putting dents
Causing you to lament
All the time that's been spent
Your abandonment issues
Manifest malcontent
Presenting the case
That resent will torment
It's odd
Your demeanor is this incomplete
Are their things going on
That have led to deceit
There's an unwanted tension
That isn't so sweet
Not to mention the way
You mistreat then repeat
Please don't allow love to become obsolete
Aquarian Dream II- Leaving Kali Yuga
A glimpse in your gilded eyes Tells me all inside your lieing mind How can you Stand without a spine How can you speak without a will Failed to announce the pain Will they realize the illusion Is it all to late? The lies that are so common Have put up a delusion Infront Of the people's mind So deep away from the dark Will we come when father is coming For us, is it all to late? Soft little messenger I dare you to spread the word About our dying world All come far and near Listen to what we have been waiting to hear The walls have broken down The gates have been breached The Keep stormed in Praise and sing They have killed our king Our conformity is on it's last day All Black Skies have been tainted with grey Our flags are now just tinder The palace has all been burned to cinders Our Empire has fell Praise and sing They have killed our king I see the light of a dawning Age Let a new era begin An Aquarian dream a day where we are all free Inside our minds; our hidden refuge But there's no need to hide perfection Concordia shall be our queen Justice, independence, liberty are our only virtues free to be whoever our heart let's us be Go to the tower, strike the bell Soft little messenger And tell of Victory All come far and near Listen to what we have been waiting to hear The walls have broken down The gates have been breached The Keep stormed in Praise and sing They have killed our king Our conformity is on it's last day All Black Skies have been tainted with grey Our flags are now just tinder The palace has all been burned to cinders Our Empire has fell Praise and sing They have killed our king All come far and near Listen to what we have been waiting to hear The walls have broken down The gates have been breached The Keep stormed in Praise and sing They have killed our king Our conformity is on it's last day All Black Skies have been tainetd with grey Our flags are now just tinder The palace has all been burned to cinders Our Empire has fell Praise and sing They have killed our king
Celebration
Darkness covered ever crevice,
When the angels of God betrayed the Lamb,
And the tongue of accuser, set us all down in the shame and guilt of self-
effacement.
The sound of fury cursed our joy,
That we all bowed down and couldn’t stand,
And the pain of regret, set disease in all our arms and legs,
But there was one angel, an old black woman,
Who saw the light of day anyway,
And she took her cane and through it to the side,
And said, “Hey baby I’m a embrace this ride,”
No matter what, I’m a go to drive in movies,
And I’m a smile come what may,
And I’m a sing a song of roses, despite the darkest day,
And she began to flap her wings,
And the wind from her bosom spread across the cosmos,
And the world knew celebration.
Piercing Eyes
The way that her eyes
Focus deep within
As if you're staring right into my soul
Knowing each and everything about me
Without having asked the questions
I want to freeze this moment in time
Just to keep it ours forever
We've achieved the ultimate endeavor
Now we are truly free
The way that you dance and you move
To the rhythm
The way that you close your eyes
When you're feeling the music
Oh, just to stand there and observe you being you
I get so completely lost in this moment
It must have been those piercing eyes
Everything that I do now
Is just an attempt to get the pure ecstasy
That I felt the first night we ever met
The nervousness that I had that first night
Was almost unbearable
The way that you speak your mind
And you care what no one else thinks
You had a style all your own
Unlike anyone else that I've ever met
Could ever duplicate
We will work through the toughest of times together
No there's nothing
No nothing
That could ever stop us
Love will save our souls
Feverish Encounter
Do you enjoy
Thinking about the day
You meet the one you're looking for
The prodigious chemistry
When your two eyes meet
Everything around you seemingly stops existing
But only for a moment
Except for in your own two minds
In that instance
Lasts an eternity
Or at least you wish that it could
A marvelous emotional notion isn't it
That in this instant
Everything in your life changes
All you want to do after that moment
Is to make sure that you have her for yourself
There is only one problem
She is with a group of friends
And you don't want to intrude
So you continue
To stare at each other
So intensely
All the while still pretending to listen
To the people that you happen to be with
After ten grueling minutes
Neither one of you can stand it
As she signals for you to get up
And finally meet
The hairs on the back of your necks start tingling
With an ecstatic anticipation
You walk outside
Your eyes never separate
Both of your nervousness starts to dwindle
As you feel an immediate comfort
In each others presence
This all just has to be a dream
A smile comes over both your faces
Both or you are forever grateful
That you've been allowed
This chance encounter
Preserve this moment in your minds
For it may never happen like this again
Never the Same
His fingers traced the cold hard rock  of a now silent name,
Of a father he knew, a man he would not. No one to take the blame
His childhood changed a man yet to be, he cried for his loss and pain
Through the silence that followed, he walked away,
He’d never be the same.
He would come calling on the ladies, yet whiskey was his date,
Taking his hand, calling his name she numbed his futures fate
With her, soothing, smooth moving liquid she’d guide him through the night
She left him wanting more of her, to change his life insight.
With a cold ring of glass she called to him beckoning him to follow
He had married a bottle of comfort to fill his heart so hollow.
With every swallow, he would hear her call his name,
He tried to drink her into his soul,
He’d never be the same.
In his sorrow of tomorrow and the day that follows that,
He could only weep and borrow, self pity where he sat,
When on the midnight moon he heard a whisper on the breeze,
The bending of guitar strings, like bending of willow trees.
Caressing, addressing, assessing time itself,
Feeling healing, sealing wounds made on ones self.
He became one with the music and to himself wholeness came
As he learned to pick those guitar strings,
He never was the same.
One night a woman sat before him a whisper on her lips,
On a stage in a place that he played for tips
As she listen to his guitar, his sober fingers played
As he strummed another tune, his eyes upon her laid.
As she smiled up at him now his futures fate untold
Lay with in those days as lifes beauty started to unfold.
A year had passed since she first heard him play
Marriage and a chance to live every day
But when his son was born a prayer of thank came
For he folded his hands and bowed his head
He would never be the same
SOMETHING HAS GOT TO CHANGE...
Something has got to change...
snap out of your foolish rage;
be honest with yourself,
and say," I don't want to be yours! "
Not long ago,
you adored me
like there's was
no other man on earth;
a moment ago,
you refused to be touched;
and while I'm playing your song,
you look away...
Something has got to change...
how come you can't breath
the same air that I breath,
and have the same needs that I have?
Why can't you,at least, feel the joy
of being loved so faithfully,
and why you hate my looks of sweetness;
don't I love you nevertheless?
Something has got to change...
our moments together
can't turn into memories:
they must live inside of us!
Something has got to change...
I laid everything at your feet,
hoping you'd keep this secret;
I offered you more than love,
and you shouldn't kick it  and step on it...
like it was a worthless stone!
Something has got to change today...
search for kindness and pity,
and be willing to care!
Tell Me
Your blue eyes
They stand out amongst so many
Leading me down the path to your true self
Will you let me in
To search for the real you
Listen to the secrets that you dare not tell a soul
Would you let me in
Trying to figure you out
To really understand who you are
Learn all those little quirks and all
You know,
Those little things that everyone does
That we just keep to ourselves
Are you ready to expose
All these little untold covert experiences
Attempt to let me in
You have kept to yourself
For way too long
And now it's time
For you to unleash your feelings
And your thoughts
To someone that you know you can trust
What is said amongst two lovers
Should be universally known
Not to share with another
If they just wanted to tell anyone
Then there would not be
That connection
Or that satisfaction
When they finally tell you
Everything
Recollections
This is what I remember
When I think of you
It's as if I'm flying
Limitless unbound
Lifted spirits
Dilated eyes
Quintessential love
I envision those flowers
So perfectly placed in your hair
As we dance the night away
Forgetting all that is wicked
Relief beyond belief
Memories of evenings shared
Staring at the stars
Enthralled by precious moon lit skies
Those next mornings
And the way your eyes
Appear the second you awaken
Soft smiles between us both
As your genuine heart
Radiates oh so immensely
Completely sharing
These special moments
Committed to sharing equal roles
Getting a chance to explore
And discover
What you really want in life
That was my chance
But I blew it
Should have seized
And fully absorbed
Those times as precious
As those cozy
Refreshing mornings
WARM RAIN GUSHES FROM THE BRIGHT SKY
Warm rain gushes from the bright sky,
to free all clouds of their heavy weight
and nourish everything below...
even the dry beak of a sparrow;
we didn't ask for it and yet
it came unexpectadly
to end our physical thirst...
another reminder of mercy!
The thirsty crows invade
the drenched meadows,
once so dried-out and yellowed,
to resemble an arid desert;
water sustains life on this planet...
and allowes the low rivers to overflow
when winter can't bring any snow;
then...is all hope useless?
There'll be lots of  beautiful flowers this spring,
even those silent bells will joyfully ring;
a brighter sun will radiate...
illuminating our path until evening:
so much joy in our singing,
a perfect time to meditate!
Warm rain gushes from the bright sky,
surprise sparkles in the unbeliever's eyes;
doubts make us unhappy and weak...
considering the dark side of things!
Vision makes us soar above the awesome stars,
while despair causes our souls to die!
over a coarse of time
Seems I’ve reminisced
The feel
Of a home cooked meal
Ducking the pleasures
Of a sainted veil
A clause in the end
From which finer things appeal
Black jack matches not
To a fisher mans luck
On an antique reel
But on the real
The expectations in this life
Remain a comfort
That refuses to chill
Let your thoughts rest
On an old lads chest
Considering the circumstances
If we make it
We can all attest
And adore this political mess
If not then as victims of stress
Unblessed in this planet
Of slanted chess
We’ll confess
Another night
Another days passes
Do you find it lovely
How nothing ever last
But many men have cured
Their fascination
Of becoming non minute men
Flawed by incarceration
Deep within the dungeons
Of a  softer conscience
In irregular form
A veteran lies victim
Of defeated white blood cells
Unresponsive
A child with no home
And swollen tonsils
The dark settles
Flashbacks meddle
Trouble around the corner
As a lunch line unveils
Never was a fighter
Just a swinger
As I found myself catapulted against
The cafeteria wall
The integrity
My sucker punch instilled
Broken glass jaws
Over a 4th grade meal
Or mainly just an individual
Twice the size of me
With an inability to feel
I sat still
As the principal sought
A stern punishment
Not as astonished with
The other kids compliments
For my stomach ache
From a lack of warm condiments
Moral of the story  is
I was fighting then
I’m still fighting now
Obstacles tend to ware me down
The inexperience of my peers
Seem to no longer enlighten me now
Have to find new ways to learn
Or disappear into the unclear
Fatigued as a writer
Tend to want to touch on subjects
Closer to lighter
Symptoms of a September baby
A Virgo born of a harlot
With nine children unknown
A none buffalo soldier
A phantom on a Harley
The ghost of Robert Marley
An astronaut in my younger years
Screaming for Apollo thirteen
As the thunder neared
Off my coarse of inspiration
I veered
two lovers
Spark of light in pitch black room
This place of solitude becomes a tomb
Reading writings of great people of the past
Get stuck in a moment forever to last
Open your sweet lips to kill the silence
Two lovers meet by moonlight to fill empty hearts
Piece of pain silent and still
My spirit builds a life of free will
a harmony of notes sound soft to my ear
Inside of a beating heart like a drum I hear
Open your sweet lips to kill the silence
Two lovers meet by moonlight to fill empty hearts
Passion of love echoes through my lips
Above two loves walls hold secrets no one hears
Two lovers in each others arms for years
Two lovers close share their fears
Sitting close they wipe each other’s tears
Open your sweet lips to kill the silence
Two lovers meet by moonlight to fill empty hearts
Speaking After a Dream
The walls close in and I find you
A silhouette standing in the blue
The clouds fell apart and I called to the sky
I am left now only to wonder why
Coffee drips into my cup
As my eyes are filling up
‘Cause everything reminds what I did that day
I had to cut him loose, now I have something to say….
So, here I stand
Your wish is my command
It’s been you from the start
And it’s tearing me apart
I just can’t see for the hair in my eyes
And I’ve lost my way but it’s no big surprise
Time I let it so you this is true
You hold my heart strings, the one I love is you.
a song for storms
We live
We look for strength
To go on
Day in
Days with in a song
We give
Second to our ribs
Circle of my thoughts
Where’s home
Collectors coming for my sins
I’m just as filthy as most refuted men
Whom disputed over realms of broken limbs
Sounds of an acoustic rose
Singing with in my misery
No other agony could produce these lows
The stabilization of man kind
History is only statistical values on rewind
My logic to look further than a keepers find
I hope you become the change you look to see
Giving it back for all that this
State of being has taken from me
This broken image I have awaken to be
We live
We search for strength
To go on
Days in
Days with in a song
We sing
Circles of my thoughts
I want to go home
Don’t give up on life
Don’t let it get the best of your nights
Nine children, from no two women
But one
Woman’s worth taken beneath a shaded sun
Sympathetic I cannot be
For I never really referred to her as “mom”
Your economy appears to crumbling
Why I tend to give you all
The bitter half of the songs in me
Look forward, toward tomorrows coming
For days know not where they come from
If it gets no better, allow us to breathe
Take upon the breeze with leaves
For autumn seems to strangle
Suffering from our sleeves
A New York warmth
Hidden beneath winter charms
We live
We search for strength
To go on
Days in
Days with in a song
We sing
Circles of my thoughts
I want to go home
The Cowboy
Her heart was breaking as she stepped into the bar,
This time her cowboy had pushed her just a little too far.
The neon lights seemed to be calling as the music took it its toll,
Pour me a couple of them little shooters I feel I’m on a roll.
The music was inviting as she watched the couples dance,
Until she met this cowboy who held her in his trance.
She still had on her wedding ring as they danced across the floor,
This cowboy had ill intentions as he danced her to the door.
He said let’s go get some air as casual as that,
She said I’m sorry cowboy I just don’t like the color of your hat.
She turned to walk back in but he grabbed a hold of her,
She said you best be turning loose or else you’ll feel my angry spur.
He turned her loose right then and there this girl with golden hair,
When right behind her stood her cowboy whom she’d thought had been unfair.
He said I’ve come to take you home, and I’m sorry for what I said,
But you’re just so gosh durn pretty I git messed up in my haid.
She said you are my cowboy I’ve got my brand on you,
But you’re gonna have to loosen up on them reins when I ask you to.
He said you got yourself a deal I’ll give it all I’ve got,
No more roping or the rodeos cause honey making you happy truly means a lot.
He grabbed up his little filly and sat her in his truck,
And told her that he loved her and with him she was stuck.
They rode off into the sunset,
This story had a good ending so listen don’t you fret.
In the Groove of the Night
 In The Groove of The Night
In the Groove of the Night
Free of Fright
The Moon Shines Bright
Like a Spy
The tide Roars In
The exploration about to begin
I watch as this is Happenin'
In the Groove of the Night
The Portal of Passion found
Not Paying Attention to a sound
You Lost in Me
I in You
In The Groove of The Night
Our Passion Has Taken Flight
Beer Money, Wine Taste
If you could read my mind you'd know that I'd never talk
And if I could stretch a mile you'd know that I'd never walk
But I've got to get up to go to work to my nine to five
To keep the pace in this rat race I have to survive
But this minimum wage pay will never help me out Lord
So I need more cause I want more than I can afford
(Channel)
Cause all my friends are driving Benz's and wearing expensive clothes
With bigger houses and finer foods so this is my status in quo
I've got beer money, I've got wine taste
Can you see it in my eyes, its written on my face
Give me this, give me that and I don't want to wait
But I've got beer money, I've got wine taste
And uh~ beer money, and uh~ wine taste
Always make me wanna haste but that leads to waste
So I'm praying for some patience and little more grace
With my~ beer money and my~ wine taste         (Chorus)
But my money and my patience's short, the line is long
And when things start looking right in life what's left is wrong
I need extra strength this and I need fast relief that
Someone call western union hurry cause I need some cash
To pay my debts and all my bills, I'm planning to buy a lot
Because I'm always wanting something that I just don't got
(Channel)
Cause all my friends are driving Benz's and wearing expensive clothes
With bigger houses and finer foods so this is my status in quo
I've got beer money, I've got wine taste
Can you see it in my eyes, its written on my face
Give me this, give me that and I don't want to wait
But I've got beer money, I've got wine taste
And uh~ beer money, and uh~ wine taste
Always make me wanna haste but that leads to waste
So I'm praying for some patience and little more grace
With my~ beer money and my~ wine taste         (Chorus)
(Bridge)
I need designer hats and jeans,
A limousine on the scene
To keep up with the Jones;
I need some precious stones.
I want to be in the spotlight
In restaurants day and night
With the means to these ends nonstop;
I wanna be filthy rich so I can shop.
(Chorus)
Indepth of Others
For those of you
With your arms above me
For those of you
Whom continuously love me
I never felt like I was at peace
No matter what
There's always
This emptyness inside
This overwhelming lease
No matter what I do
What ever I go through
I just can not seem to fill
This estranged opening
This subtle cloaking
People
Pat me on the back
People
Tell me they love me
Some reach out
more than others
Unexpected brothers
But I can't find peace
Even as a child
The only happiness
I've ever known
Is seeing another smile
Like a ghost
I've become ever so close
My solution becomes
When you're lost
You're found
I guess people are human
And they will let you down
THE FAERIE SONG
The Faeries played the songs..........
Such musical beauty filling all
Lilting melodies............
Musical light.............
Softly through the night
The music of the Faeries
Drifting through.............
The Whispering Trees
The branches sway..........
To what the Faeries play
The song known to all.............
The Four Elements
The Seasons
The Winds
The Faeries
The Flowers
The Magic
The Stars
The Heartstone that glows in the Great Hall
The precious song
The precious music
Filling you.........
With the love of all things,
and the joy it brings
The Heartstone ,so true
Living too,
all around
The Faerie sound
For, some things touch you deep
The Faeries from Castle Heartstone
The music that they play
Inward to seep
This is the way of all things...........
The magic to keep
Side-Kicks
Rabbit was my turtle who never won a race
Red is my fish but he's blue in the face
And I love my pets but they do no tricks
So I play all day and sleep at night with my sidekicks
My sidekicks~ Wa! Cha!  My sidekicks~ Wa! Cha!
Sometimes we stand on bricks, play swords with sticks
Sometimes we have tools for fixin', lollipops for lickin'
But when it's time quit and switch, they're still my fav clique
My sidekicks~ Wa! Cha!  My sidekicks~ Wa! Cha!   (Chorus)
Smokey is my cat and I love him too
Got a little kitty, named her Crystal blue
And another fish in a bowl I call Fins
But they do no tricks, so I play with my sidekicks again
I got Teddy and Roy and my bulldog Bully
And at bath time I get to dunk my pal Sully
Then there's Croc but is he an alligator
And Fishy is orange, before I see you later
I gotta tell ya Mr. Duck is now Mr. Quacks
But my favs of all time is Tang Tang and Scratch
And though they're stuffed animals~ they do all the tricks
Like my play friend Jerry- they're my sidekicks
(Chorus)
Strong Tower (A Song for Caleb)
In the time-
That I'm afraid-
I will call-
Upon His Name
For in the times-
I have been brave-
I have called-
Upon His Name  (Chorus)
The name of the Lord, the name of the Lord
The name of the Lord's Strength and Power
The name of the Lord, the name of the Lord
The name of the Lord's a Strong Tower
And the righteous will run in it and be safe
The righteous will run in it and be saved
In the time-
That I'm afraid-
I will call-
Upon His Name
For in the times-
I have been brave-
I have called-
Upon His Name  (Chorus)
Wings to Fly
If I had wings to fly
I would surely fly away
To a desert time and place
So none could find my face
If I had wings to fly
I would soar above the clouds
Far from here and now
To where? To there somehow
If I had wings to fly
If I had wings to fly
I would fly to be alone
Where nothing could go wrong
And I would sing my song
If I had wings to fly
I would mount above the world
To escape your winds that whirl
And the stones of boys and girls
If I had wings to fly
If I, If I had wings to fly, I would view from a bird's eye
How lonely you and I would be when doves fly, doves cry
If I, If I had wings to fly I would view from a bird's eye
How lonely you and I would be when doves cry, doves die  (Chorus)
If I had wings to fly
I'd fly right back to truth
To a place of hope with you
Where we could start anew
If I had wings to fly
I'd make my flight complete
And take you high with me
For all the world to see
If I had wings to fly
If I had wings to fly
I'd not fly away again
For I was wrong there and then
I won't wish for where I've been
If I had wings to fly
I'd give my wings to you
For your love for me is proved
And our love can not be moved
Even if I had wings to fly
Loud Cries and Tears
Jesus offered up prayers and petitions
And He was heard for His reverent submission
But His quiet times were not so quiet in His years
He made His requests known with loud cries and tears
	Unto God who would save Him from premature death
	And for those who needed grace and life Jesus wept
	Unto God who gave Him power and love to cast out fears
	Jesus supplicated with strong crying and tears  [Chorus]
Stir up your spirit like an eagle, get unsettled
Get alone with God all night like the time when Jacob wrestled
He groaned until the morning, He held on and overcame
All his struggles, he was blessed and given a better name
Men ought to pray always and never faint
Being alert and praying for all the saints
On every occasion giving God no rest
With all kinds of prayers and requests
[Chorus]
Raise your voices like Apostles until the place is shaken
Pray til something happens for the cause undertaken
Like Elijah prayed seven times for the dry land
The abundant rain poured from a cloud like a hand
Jesus offered up prayers and petitions
And He was heard for His reverent submission
But His quiet times were not so quiet in His years
He made His requests known with loud cries and tears
	Unto God who would save Him from premature death
	And for those who needed grace and life Jesus wept
	Unto God who gave Him power and love to cast out fears
	Jesus supplicated with strong crying and tears  [Chorus]
Endeavered Thoughts
When it’s all over
The world’s gone cry
When it’s all said and done
The world’s gone miss me in life
When my beds lay remains before the sun
The tribulations
In which we each triumph
My tragic fall
The steps that keep me running from home
The righteousness that evades
As I slowly trespass into the wrong
The mistakes I achieve
They allow me
To continue writing song after song
When there is no further distance
Than the unknown in which we roam
When no eyes are upon you
Yet the world knows everything in all
My very existence matters not
I welcome you to my end
My suspending fall
Culmination
I ask you
To say goodbye for me
My only request
Remains to rest alive to see
My stranger
Say goodbye for me
It is for these common days
I thank you
The grace
That warms the will
In our senseless duels
For we peasant fools
Are granted only certain jewels
A limited few shall be praised
On sourdough and empty mugs
We common folk shall be raised
Merchants shall keep calling my name
For I will keep walking
In this fallen reign
I’ve dreamt of living upon a time
To no longer exist
A such time worshipped
Lives only in gist
Love me, leave me not
For my desires
I believe I may rot
In a Flash!
In a flash-! Before you can blink an eye
In a flash-! Before you can say good-bye
With a blast-!  Of his horn at the Midnight Cry
He will catch-! Us away up in the sky   (Chorus)
When the saints are all caught away
For some it will dawn, for some, midday
For others it will be evening, for some, night
But for all of us who are walking in the Light
It should not be a terrible great surprise
Like those who will mourn with open eyes
Since we expect Him, we must watch and pray
And haste Christ's great and glorious Day
(Chorus)
Some of us who are Heaven bound
Will be above and some underground
Some will be in the sky, some in the sea
And who knows where others may or may not be
But one thing's for sure, make Christ your choice
For all of us who will hear His voice
Shall be changed, first, the sleep shall awaken
They shall fly, then we who are ready shall be taken
In a flash-! Before you can blink an eye
In a flash-! Before you can say good-bye
With a blast-!  Of his horn at the Midnight Cry
He will catch-! Us away up in the sky   (Chorus)
A Little Gilley
As I overlooked an orchard
                            From my window up above
                       I send to you a room full of roses
                            For I'm a fool for your love
                        So darlin won't ya stand by me
                    And let's get lost in paradise tonight
                              Put your dreams away
                   And there shall be no more lonely nights
                      Come stroll with me under the neon city lights
                                 For that's all that matters
                                    In a true love ways
                                Lord every waking hour
                            She's pulling me back again
               For a headache tomorrow or a headache tonight
                 Come on and  just bring it on home to me
                            For love you don't know me
                       And don't all the girls get prettier
                                  at closing  time tonight
Unconventional God
the One Omnipotent God
does unconventional things
and many out there agree
until they find out that it means
His ways are passed finding out
but if we will simply obey
the world will see what God does
and hear what God has to say
{Bridge}
So who directs God's Spirit to do as they feel
He's the One who leads and guides and goes where He wills
Teaching us as we follow Christ we become unpredictable
Getting to know Him, doing exploits, strong and unconventional
Would you do what Jesus did?
Would you say what Jesus said?
If you could see and hear your Father
Be so unpredictable
Would you do it how He did it?
Would you say it how He said it?
If you could see and hear your Father
Be so unconventional  [Chorus]
those full of the Spirit of God
do unconventional things
and many out there agree
until they find out that it means
His thoughts are not their thoughts
His ways are not their ways
and those God directs perform
and speak like Jesus does and says
If I Lied
Momma
She doesn’t want to hear from me no more
I'm tired, she cried
Pointed me in a direction
But I see that door
Would it be selfish on my part
To grip her palms and ask for more?
Though it's not on her chest
She simply hopes that her customers tip the best
If I said she hated me
I wonder would she put these lips to rest
In this post digital life
I got an email from a past friend
Point the icon to reply
Started to type but I had no words to send
Like a small whisper it said love won't last
As if to hold my head I didn't bother to ask
Rub the hurt
To keep her above the dirt
She tried
She held on with what she could
Until she died
I said I'd never shed a tear
But I lied
I took her hand and cried
Before you leave this story alone
Maybe there's something you could do
To piece together the worry at home
In moments that it really counted
I guess I just would not listen
At times when I should have softened
My heart did nothing but stiffen
I guess that's just the way life is
Think about what you love and lost
What was once yours was always his
I never saw her but once
But she never forgot
To send me peace on my birthday
Sometimes I wonder
Did she lose me in her worst ways
Then again
There isn’t much I can say
She tried
She held on the best she could
Until she died
I said I'd never shed a tear
But I lied
I took her hand and cried
With a little help from you
We put together withered ends of a string
In better hope that one day, one of us
Would suffer once more to hear the other sing
Sometimes fantasies are life
But most of the time
You just want to find intimacy with your wife
I'm not trying to make amends
But it's all over when it ends
So love your child
Make your everyday float above his smiles
I couldn't sympathize for your illness
For every person maintains their own struggle
So wipe away your tears
Let us not become absorbed by the puddle
Keep doing what you do
no one can stop you from pursuing it but you
The consequences, the awards
I'll happily push my cart
Further down the morgue
So close your eyes
If I were to take my last breath
I'd still wish you the best
She tried
She held on with what she could
Until she died
I said I'd never shed a tear
But I lied
I took her hand and cried
Friendship Beads
Red, yellow, green and blue, blue blue-
Red, yellow, green and blue
Red, yellow, green and blue, blue blue-
Red, yellow, green and blue  (Chorus)
Red is for the blood Christ shed
Yellow for power He rose from the dead
Green is for new life instead
Of feeling blue, Heaven's ahead-
Red, yellow, green and blue, blue blue-
Red, yellow, green and blue
Red, yellow, green and blue, blue blue-
Red, yellow, green and blue  (Chorus)
Lover of My Soul
I have found
The Lover of My Soul
His name is Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Oh Jesus- Jesus loves my soul
I have found
The One who makes me whole
His name is Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Oh Jesus- Jesus makes me whole
I have found
The Lord is in control
His name is Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
Oh Jesus- Jesus take full control
I have found
The Lover of My Soul
According to the Scriptures
Jesus died for my sins
(According to the Scriptures)
He was laid in a tomb
(According to the Scriptures)
But He rose to life again
(According to the Scriptures)
Now He's coming real soon
(According to the Scriptures)     [Chorus]
Jesus died for my sins, He was laid in a tomb
But He rose to life again, now  He's coming real soon
According to the Scriptures and believed by the saints
Yet if Christ be not raised then our faith is in vain
BUT!  Jesus is alive and He rose from the dead
We're the Body of Christ and Christ is the head
Who's become the firstfruit of those who've slept
Afterward at His Coming, those who have been kept
From the pollution of the world, the solution is faith
Being sealed with His Spirit until we see Christ's day
When all things are subdued and the mountains will fall
The son is subject to the father, God is all and in all
Every knee will surely bow and tongue confess that
Jesus is Lord while secrets of the hearts manifest
Some on the right hand, others on the left
As he separates the wheat from the chaff with his breath
[Chorus]
It's according to the Word, now it's time for you to level
You can't drink of Jesus cup and the cup of the devil
Awake to righteousness and sin not!
And it's ashame if you don't have the knowledge of God
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith be strong
Submit yourself to Jesus flee away from all wrong
For evil companionships corrupt good manners
So stay with holy ones lifting up the Lord's banner
As Christ increases, we decrease daily dying
Maximizing with the People Of War Ever Rising
While awaiting the redemption of our bodies we're victors
And we'll go up in the Rapture according to the Scriptures
[Chorus]
{A rap I wrote while in college in celebration of Easter-  I Cor. 15:3,4}
Song of the Dying
You don’t feel upon lying
So you sing the song of the dying
Sunday afternoons
Pastors choose reign in a spiritual doom
The sun plasters we coons
Stand out and fade faster with the moon
I bid you the same old static and blues
The one always in favor of tempered news
The trail of adventures and rules
We don’t heal upon crying
So we sing the song of the dying
The highways haunts you
Night sky’s taunt the blue
All life wants from you
Is the truth
The secrets they’re telling you
One just knows not what to do
Feel like you want to cry
Coincidentally you realize
It would be better to die
We don’t feel upon lying
So we sing the song of the dying
I’ve given away myself in every song
Driven the bars last liquor home
No sympathy for an aging man
For I cannot feel your tears
Upon my rough hands
My scared palms
My irrelevance
bared in chapters of Psalms
Until my ending is calmed
Perfect Peace
Whatever is sure
Whatever is pure
Whatever is beautiful
Whatever is true
Whatever's of You
O Lord it is wonderful
To think on such things as these
As I keep my mind stayed on Thee
You will keep me in perfect peace
Since I put all my trust in Thee
Whatever's of love
Whatever is just
Whatever is good and pleasant
If there's any virtue
Whatever's of You
O Lord it is excellent
To think on such things as these
As I keep my mind stayed on Thee
You will keep me in perfect peace
Since I put all my trust in Thee
Whatever you've learned
Whatever you've heard
If it's of good report
Whatever you've seen
If you've been redeemed
Practice and praise the Lord
Ain't Nothing Too Hard
There ain't nothing too hard for God
He made the heaven and he made the earth
He did it all by sending forth His Word
Now all creation sing His worth
Til everyone in this whole world has heard
There ain't nothing too hard for God
He came to save and heal all of the earth
He did it all by sending forth His Word
Now all creation sing His worth
Til everyone in this whole world has heard
There ain't nothing too hard for God
He'll make a new heaven and new earth
He'll do it all by sending forth His Word
Now all creation sing His worth
Til everyone in this whole world has heard
There ain't nothing too hard for God
Showing Off
We're not showing off
And we won't put it off-
We're just praising the name of Jesus
But if we're showing off
Still we won't put it off-
We'll keep praising the name of Jesus   (Chorus)
There are those who think the Lord requires a solemn face
And there are those who quench His Spirit in this place
But there are those who sing and shout with hands and hearts to raise
And they are those who're free to give God all their praise
And if we're getting on your nerve-
And if we don't fit your format-
Well we've got a God to serve-
And we know it's going to take all that
He's pleased with that-	  (Bridge)
(Chorus)
There are those who feel they know just how much it takes
And there are those who say we're going through a phase
So there are those who clap and dance with hands and hearts to raise
And they are those who're free to give God all their praise
(Bridge)    (Chorus)
Praise Him for his goodness, praise Him for his love
Praise Him with your voices, praise Him all ye lands
Praise Him with the timbrel and all your instruments
Praise Him with a loud noise, sing and clap your hands  (Repeat)
(Bridge)  (Chorus)
For the Holidays
A simple decision
I came to accept at a younger age than known
I don’t remember my earlier birthdays
But since it fell in place
September, November, December
Then it’s a depressional season alone
If it were up to me, when I reached seven
I would have been heavenly gone
And you ask me
Will I be coming home for the holidays?
Holidays, they come, they go
For smiles and snow, a New York warmth
I’d trade with any convict doing death row
You punish me, but it seems to be
Something more than mischief
A flaw in your parental morals
Let’s graph the hope held in each poor child
You and I
We have-nots were claimed as plurals
Life long friends
How much more can we endure pal
Do you no longer ask
If I’ll be home for the holidays
This is for your birthday, each passing Christmas
The wars in which you continue to enlist us
The days you missed us
The casualties whom bit the dust
The individuals whom pissed on trust
For those entitled to this imperishable crush
Will you be home for the holidays?
tome of days
And I’ll sail forever
My ocean of mischief
A sea of comfort
My hymn of peace
Love comes with in the drift
My heart tears from the rift
Life my burden to hold
Above my shoulders in lift
And I’ll sail forever
The moments
that flatter our cheeks
A child, A fleet
Of inspiring smiles
Our happiness our triumph
The displeasure in vows
My judgment in trials
An episode relaxed
Racing for miles
Who’s to tell me
I cannot sail
Toward which wind wanders
I am but a sun lit rise
Growing ale
Most prisoners ask for freedom
Letters of ordinary tales
Photographs and mail
But I think
I will forever sail
I thank you for your comments
I acknowledge them, I walk on
In search of wonders
Stress free, a place to belong
Don’t you wish you were home
I’m writing for pictures
An image clear
Yet no one sees
Then again who am I to be
I’m only running with the sea
Who is Our Life
When Christ, who is our Life, shall appear
We'll be caught up~! To meet Him in the air
And our glory hid in God with Jesus Christ
Shall be revealed when we appear
With Him in Eternal Life  (Chorus)
Some people say they got the life
And they think they have a better way
But the truth about their lusts and pride
Is with the using they all pass away
[Bridge]
Yet they think it's strange that we don't run
To do the same excess they consider fun
And when ridiculed for the sake of His Name
Compared to Glory, it's nothing- take the shame
(Chorus)
The world tells us to get a life
And that we live a narrow-minded way
But the truth we know will cause such strife
Because they're blind & deaf to what we say
[BridgeII]
But the Gospel won't be hid or overcome
For then it would be concealed from the lost ones
But if we suffer insults for the name of Christ
Remember in Him are all the meanings of Life
(Chorus)
{Channel}
And when the sign of the Son appears in the sky
Then all the nations of the earth will begin to cry
For they will see Him come with power and glory from above
And see us in the clouds with Him they've spoken evil of
[Bridge]
When Christ, who is our Life, shall appear
We'll be caught up~! To meet Him in the air
And our glory hid in God with Jesus Christ
Shall be revealed when we appear
With Him in Eternal Life  (Chorus)
The Lord Will Provide
The Lord gave Abraham a promise and a son
Through Sarah who conceived and laughed with everyone
For Isaac was the name in which all his seed is called
And his faith was evident and God's power shown to all
When He spoke to Abraham, "Sacrifice your only son
In the mountain of your Lord, offer up this innocent one."
Sarah must have had her doubts about what her husband heard
But Abraham said, "We will return, I beleive the promised word."
And on the journey of three days to the place of God's desire
Isaac carried his own wood, Abraham, the knife and fire
But then Isaac said, "my father", who answered, "Here I am"
"Here is the fire and the wood, but tell me where is the lamb?"
The Lord will provide
A Lamb to sacrifice
So you won't have to die
He'll give another life
Now lift up your eyes
It shall be seen from upon high
That the Lord will provide
A Lamb to sacrifice	(Chorus I)
And they came to the place, he built an alter there
Then in order laid the wood as Isaac stood and stared
Yet, he didn't say a word, although he could
He let his father bind him and lay him on the wood
For Abraham would receive him in a figure as it's said
Believing God could raise Him up, even from the dead.
As tears rolled down his face, he quickly raised the knife
But the angel called his name, "Abraham!  Don't take his life!
For now I know you fear the Lord to offer up your firstborn."
Then Abraham looked up and saw a ram caught by its horns
And he hurried to the bush and sacrificed the ram
Instead of his own son, who wondered, "Where is the lamb?"
(Chorus I)
Like Abraham our heavenly Father gave his only son
To a world who laughed and scorned and bruised this innocent one
Who never said a word as he carried his wooden cross
To a place called Calvary, the way made for the lost
He was nailed and hung upon that tree, He suffered, bled and died
And was lain within a tomb but in three days He was revived
Just as Abraham by faith spoke of the lamb God would provide
Jesus is the Lamb, the Lamb of God was sacrificed
The Lord did provide
The Lamb to sacrifice
So none would have to die
He gave us His own life
Now lift up your eyes
Your Redemption draweth nigh
And see our God did provide
The Lamb who is alive!    2 X's	(Chorus II)
{fade}
{Then in a strong chorus}
Jehovah Jireh, my Provider
In the mount of God it shall be provided
Jehovah Jireh, my Provider
In the mount of God He will provide
The Lord is My Shepherd
O Lord You're my Shepherd
I shall lack no good thing
You make me to lie down
In pastures of green
Beside the still waters
Is how You lead me
In paths of righteousness
Is where You guide me
For the sake of Your Holy Name
You restore my soul the same
O Lord You're my Shepherd
And I will fear no evil
Even though I walk through shadows
Of the darkest valley
For You are with me
You're my Saviour and my God
And You comfort me
With Your staff and rod
For the sake of Your Holy Name
You restore my soul the same
O Lord You're my Shepherd
You prepare a table before me
A feast in the presence
Of my enemies
You anoint my head with oil
My cup overflows
All the days of my life
Goodness and love shall follow
For the sake of Your Holy Name
You restore my soul the same
And I will dwell in your house
I will dwell in your house
I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever
My Conclusion
This is where the story ends
A young man fallen in his own mischief
Times I shouldn’t have
But I really adored my friends
Forty days, is forty or more sins
This is where my story ends
Not a whole lot of spiteful
Spiteful, unused energy
A headache is simply adding integers
Past chances is blown wind
Reassure my friends
That this is where the story ends
Cole street
No gravel below my feet
Fifty silverware a person
The next hour of continuous cursing
Pregnant hostess
With an infant that needs nursing
Waiter/slash/server
She spoke
But I never once heard her
Chips and salsa
That mistake is going to cost you
IOU’s with bronze coins to spend
I wish this was where the story ends
Do you miss me
I’d kiss you
But for twenty minutes now
I’ve been observing you
Through a glass lenses
Nineteen years
I’ve fallen before broken amends
When I held tears above my chin
Sadly this is where my story ends
Friends for Eternity!
Friends for Eternity
To my wonderful son, Christopher, and my precious daughter-in-law, Amy
They say that friends may come and go
But there is one thing I know
You're my friend for eternity
Because God promised me so!
You've showed me how true friendship must be
Oh, how we laugh, sing, and dance
But one thing is for certain, you see
I will never forget your warm gentle glance!
You have been my encouragement, life, dream, and hope
When I've been sick, sad, and alone
I could always look to you with a single ray of glow
I'll never forget what you've showed.
Because friends may come and go
But the one thing I know for a certainty
You're my friend for eternity
Because God promised me so! Friends for eternity!
Good Samaritan
As you go
Where God will send
Be a neighbor; be a friend
Don't pass by
On the other side
When you see the hurting ones
Be merciful
And pity them
Who somehow have become victims
Help and love them
As you do yourself
Be like the Good Samaritan
Find the hurt
Pour oil and wine
To cleanse their wounds you bind
Lift and warm
Them in your arms
Let love be their inheritance
Carry them
With gentle prayer
To where they will get more care
At your expense
Follow up on them
Like the Good Samaritan
Memo
Guess you can say
I’ll be there today
Yes I’ll be there today
I’ve been
Chasing
The same blue moon
So much
Time decayed this day
I’d rush you
But tomorrows
Going to come too soon
The touch of my quill
Has found it’s dry
For you and I
Seem to have fallen
Over into life
I guess you can say
I’ll be there today
It’s been merely
21 years
And I can’t seem
To get over the wrong
I guess this song
Is bringing me home
It’s been quite tough today
She brushed here eyes against mine
She said
Smiles
They still bitter my touch
Startled I
Lost my thoughts in a way
Guess you can say
I’ll be here today
I see you seem happily today
I guess you couldn’t find yourself
I see you hid your voice softly today
I assume you seek only those who left
Your side this day
Wishes
Night time skies
Night times I really tried
For a lifetime
Love sincerely tired
When anytime is no more
As long as silence creeps beneath my door
All things perish
And all that remains is gone
Against time you decipher life
Still you remain all alone
Seems we co-exit as one in this book of a thousand wishes
Mainly I was angry
For I come home
And there were no clean dishes
Therefore I granted you
My love, my scars, my blisters
I pleasured myself
As I bruised you for not saying mister
As in bedtime
I would lay you a rest in a whisper
I held your lust at hand
For I am you husband
A fallen aspect of your most conceited wishes
Hugs and kisses
Eighteen years
Marching children enlisted
The turn in the tide
We stood and we nearly missed it
A lasting call
Summoned us all to our doom
Should I stand, should I fall?
Should I pray as a ghost?
And over my nightmares hope that smiles loom?
A visualization of things to come
Perhaps my readers
Will now know where I’m coming from
And may we no longer need a book of timeless wishes
What I Say I Am
Am I what I say I am,
When I try to win that woman?
When you try to win that man-?
Am I what I say I am?
They'll be won the conversation
Of the hid-den man.   (Chorus)
The hidden man's of the heart
When you're searching that's where you start
Don't just look at the physical appearance
Beauty is vain and could serve as a hind'rance...
Love at first sight isn't always smart
With time and patience real love imparts...
A since of security, they're friends indeed
Learning to be sensitive to each other's need...
Keeps Me Sangin'
Jesus keeps me sangin'-!
I sing cause I'm happy, my heart's melody
I cause I'm free, yes, I know that I am free indeed
His eye's on the sparrow; I know He watches me
And that keeps me sangin'
He keeps me sangin'
Jesus keeps me sangin'-!  (Chorus)
I thought that I would never find someone so patient and so kind
Who had love that was just for me
Until Jesus came my way, He still sticks close to me today
So unconditionally
(Bridge 1)
He's always with me, never leaves nor forsakes me
And Jesus is the one thing my heart is sure of
So I-
(Chorus)
Jesus is my Lord and God and His love is shed abroad
In my heart I do believe
And with my mouth I do confess and I am saved, His righteousness
Is so heavenly
(Bridge 2)
He forgives and forgets all my sins and my debts
And Jesus is the one thing that my heart is sure of
So I-
(Chorus)
Now I need, and you need, and we all need His kind of love (2x's)
He forgives and forgets all my sins and my debts
And Jesus is the one thing my heart is sure of
So I- sing cause I'm happy, my heart's melody
I cause I'm free, yes, I know that I am free indeed
His eye's on the sparrow; I know He watches me
And that keeps me sangin'
He keeps me sangin'
Jesus keeps me sangin'-!  (Chorus)
I sing for joy inside my soul
Cause Jesus Christ has made me whole
His joy's my strength that makes me glad
And He's the best love I've ever had
(Fade with the Chorus)
something meant to be
I
To wonder where you are
To wonder where you’ll be
To wish upon a star
To have you here with me
The wonder of the moment spent
In concentrated thought
Is witching at my crowded brain
And stretching twanging taut
Some things are as they are
Some things are meant to be
That doesn’t mean they are
Perhaps just meant to be
I have felt our love exploding exponentially
And the wonder of the feeling is still consuming me
There’s a dragon on my mind
Tipping scales are dripping charms
And god knows what I’ll find
Behind those swaying palms
So hold me closely sooth my fey
And let me live another day
Within your loving arms
For when the darkness comes
And vision fails to see
I’ll reach to feel
For what is real
To know you’re still with me
All that I Am
Don’t leave me now
I won’t go
Pieces of you
This is all that I am
And now you come to me
You’re going to miss me
Asking me what’s wrong
And I simply reply, “Nothing”
And faintly smile
Days have gone by
As I am your painted child
Yes you’re going to miss me
Don’t leave me now
I won’t go
Pieces of you
This is all that I am
I have no family
No parentals
I am a rolling stone
I know you’ve heard the song
You’re going to miss me
Look for me
And find me no more you shall
Every move I’ve made seems foul
But you’re going to miss me
“The funny thing is
When you’re a rolling stone
You tend to live against the wind
But a stone weighs solid
Therefore the wind cannot carry it
So in other words
You become a burden to bear”
Something Good
God is the One who makes something good out of nothing
Speaking light in the darkness covering the face of the deep
And the Spirit of the Lord is hovering over your waters
To give you form, fill your void and breathe you out of sleep   (chorus)
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
And He saw all He made was very good for His intentions
But soon after the first living souls experienced birth
They chose death and now seek out wicked inventions
	So Adam and Eve again lie lifeless on the ground in sin
	But God raises up the dead because they must be born again
[bridge]
For we are nothing without Jesus Christ and without Him nothing we can do
But with the Greater One living within, Satan can't make 'nothing' out of you
(chorus)
In the beginning Satan wanted the heaven and the earth
He saw every good thing within it and distracted our attention
Until the Seed of the Woman crushed the devil's evil mirth
Through His death, burial, resurrection and ascension
	Now the flaming sword is turning to direct us together
	To reach out and take the Tree of Life, eat and live forever
[bridge]
(chorus)
[rap]
Once our world was full of darkness
Then bright and shining through came the Light
To those who receive and believe in Him
To be God's children He gave the right
And now He sees you as very good
Every man, woman, boy and girl
Because greater is He that is in you
Than he that is in this world
{bridge and chorus simultaneously}
(chorus)
He stooped down
And helped me be strong, be strong- (Chorus)
In Time
What if we make it in time
Took my eldest brother of heart
I was age eight
Routing me through different foster homes
I could turn to nothing other than art
Script my life to a page, my newly designed faceplate
Registered me in school with hillbillies
Rednecks lurking behind oak trees
plotting to noose and conceal me
Troubles away from home
It’s all my fault, I’ll withstand the punishment
Take a recess, filter out the problems
Let you know how much fun it’s been
Street thugs want to beat; I’m no ones fool to beat
Pressure me and in my possession I acquire the tools to beef
As Lustful individuals we relaxed in our own deceit
Situations come to a stand still
I take shelter beneath the neighboring bridge
I’m grown and on my feet
Who could criticize my passion for success?
Here lately it’s become a fashion to stress
In these heated hours of liaison with we nest
I believe in me, myself, and nothing else
I’m out late in the night
I’ve got to get the rent
Trying to lead of life toward luxury
Another flaw in torment I resent
Plus I got issues with the police
The mayor and the presiding judges
So many scoundrels to enlighten my grudge
No one to stand beside this perched individual
Therefore I believe me, only myself
Wishing hard times upon me
Brush them off, time to study for my clinicals
The dirt shoveled, equals the nonsense I’ve been dealt
Put an out cast to ease
A touch somewhat seldom felt
Trailing my steps,
As I expire, you may have what’s left
And who knows, we might actually make in time
Peering through my blackened mirror in scenes
I witness the incessant struggles of individuals in spleen
Mortar over my nemesis as seen
The tower I build in an effortless climb
A have-not in time, this leprosy of mine
But you and I we have history in reply
Rest your thoughts next to this Charismatic character
On whom else could you simply rely?
The love letters I receive in kind
My colleague wants to know dearly
If you have a friend in mind
Paper makes misery worth living
Mother says her rapper insist I owe in him thanks in given
The humor in my latest statement
“By my ambitions only I’m driven”
I believe in me, myself and nothing else
But who knows, we might actually make it in time
Prospect
In this near future
I’ll never die
I must never open my eyes to cry
In this near future
It seems I have cursed this presence of life
I have placed doom
Upon any courtesy of essence due to what’s right
Your angel of light
One flash
A simple loan of your most treasured belongings
And in my vaults of anguish shall rest your ash
Messiah of arched smiles
I’ve carried this burden
For time has been measured “a while”
Summon me perched in hurt
I have searched for the warmness within your smirk
Beyond my pieced together songs
My emptiness lurks
Never the less it’s all in further efforts
Yet in this near future
I’ll never die
I must never open my eyes to cry
In this near future
Disaster shall not be worn
Therefore the pieces of this song
You shall not mourn
In the Spotlight
After my years of struggle, playing small time gigs
Right place, right time, I hit it big
No longer will I face the rejections
I now have an accountant doing my financial projections
I make money, number one on the charts
Love them, leave them, breaking the groupies hearts
I have my paternity insurance through L of L
It keeps me from any shotgun wedding bells
Now my future looks so bright
It is my destiny to be in the spotlight
I am called a marketable commodity
Not a one hit wonder as you will see
Just got a call from my agent, now I'm back on the road
Never want to lose that hunger, always go for the gold
My next big hit will be better than the last
Orange juice and uppers keep me moving fast
In between shows, I sleep during the day and party all night
There is so much pressure to remain in the spotlight
There is no other career that can compare
The amps booming and the smell of weed in the air
To this way of life I have become a slave
The doctor tells me if I don't slow down expect an early grave
I am living my dream being a part of the lifestyles of the rich and shameless
Gotta stay on top, who has time to take a rest
If you can't be famous, be infamous, I believe that's right
After a taste of it, you're addicted, you would sell your soul to stay in the spotlight
I salute Mick, David and Axel and all those other die hard road performance
junkies
I went from a nobody to a star, but was never anyone's flunky
I want to be like Hall and Oats, a non-stop hit machine
I can't stop, I can't rest, there is no in between
With the access to all the drugs, booze and women, it happens one night
Eventually we all fall out of the spotlight
All That These Eyes Have Yet To See
I am here again
As I was before
Break it down to knees
And ask for no more
Over a coarse of time
You hear a certain voice in a rhyme
Bleed from the eyes
Now you can feel the stress in our cries
A soft bed
Despite a home with the dead
Is all that these eyes have yet to see
My mission
To rise to a higher position
Reach out with white palms
Not frightened
But I'm no more peaceful
Than I am calm
Heaven
Is all these eyes have yet to see
It's a simple poem
Spoken in a lower volume
At times we speak
On scattered thoughts
Shattered dreams
And memories
Of every battle we've fought
Every morning
I'm awakened by your hands
Bless it be
The structure of this man
A family and smiles
A happy expression
On the face of a child
is all that I have yet to see
Potter
O Lord, You are our Father
We are the clay; You are the Potter
We are the work of Your hand
So mold us and shape us
In Your perfect plan 	   (Chorus)
In the middle of Your wheel
We're yielded and still
To be vessels of mercy
Lord You make us worthy
In Your blaze of fiery wind
Purge us free from sin
To be vessels of honor
Filled with your living water
(Chorus)
Make the broken new again
Sanctify and bring them in
To be vessels in His church
Prepared for every good work
And meet for the Master's use
Vessels bring Him forth much fruit
Prepare for His glory
Make known Your riches of glory - !
O Lord, You are our Father
We are the clay; You are the Potter
We are the work of Your hand
So mold us and shape us
In Your perfect plan 	   (Chorus)
THIS SENTIMENTAL SEASON
When warm and gentle winds
flutter and lull the lustruous lilacs
so discontent of the primroses,
the drooping willows
deepen in their sorrows,
and as in an angelic apparition:
there comes into view
a friendly ballerina dressed in blue
to perform an ardent ballet
in her red dancing shoes that match
her golden,glazing barrette...
unlikely a hand-manipulated marionette!
Unpretentious and pretty ballerina,
invent another unrealistic aurora...
like the one that appears in the northern sky,
to make believe that is still daytime:
to attune your mood to a symphonic music
that can be enjoyed by us!
When the blue-jays refuse to sing,
use your rhythmic swing
to overwhelm us with sheer delight;
this sentimental season
repletes with amazing surprises:
to render and choose,
to keep in our thoughts and heart
the purpose of true reason!
Irresistible and elegant ballerina,
perform a dance rarely seen by critics...
be of a joyful spirit without nostalgia,
be remarkable in your gestures and steps;
a daisy opens its petals at sunrise,
invulnerable joy carries you to crimson skies...
to increase your strenght and make you shine
more than the radiant sun above the horizon...
Surging Tide
When songs rise
           on the crests of the waves
we will rally our forces
          prepare for joy
   Music drifting in with the
            tide
    Brings delight in its wake
      Can you imagine a world without song?
                 What a barren desert
         that would be
         so we'll surf the
            waves of sound
         Celebrate our days
              by lifting our voices
        joining in the chorus
                singing music of the
         spheres
     The sound will resound
through the depths of space until
        it reaches the outer planets
      The tide is rolling in
       So too, our time is coming
God is Good All the Time
God is good
All the time
When we're faithful-
Cause God is good
Loving all the time-
For he's a true friend
Of yours and mine-  (Chorus)
Troubled
Troubled I am
Thoughts no longer belong to me
No longer mine
A figure forever in-depth
Some what left behind
Forbidden desires
Truth being spoken
From a mad mans mind
Spectators say what you will
Think of gone
Or at least until
I’ll be who I am
No definition of family
Yet I will always respond
Yes maim, thank  you, and please
I will always take a coward from his knees
I will always look to your hands
For royalties to be seized
I know not what is good
I go about things wrong
My following being secular guidance
Time and time again
It’s the same refuted song
For these reasons
I will never see a better home
Rose, Precious
To my precious Rose
To what do I owe thee
To someone special
To look inside of me
And you were right
It's what's inside that counts
Now my dear rose
to what might I amount
Personality shed the truest feelings
Sometimes tears are emotion killers
But now my dear rose
it seems your petals need healing
And I could never turn my back on you
Cause you never once
Pretended to act what's true
If it is love you see
Then it is love in me
And never again
From your precious face
Do I want to see a tear fall free
Cause I know
In my precious rose
A tender heart there'll always be
And sometimes beauty kills
But from you
My heart is what beauty steals
Though we face temptation
I only bring what's real
And sometimes what's deep
Is so hard to feel
But for my precious rose
No one else knows
But for you my heart grows
Hill of the Lord
Who shall ascend into the Hill of the Lord?
Who shall dwell with Him there face to face?
Who shall abide in Your sanctuary Lord?
Who shall stand up in Your holy place?  (Chorus)
He whose walk is blameless
And he does what is right
He speaks the truth from his heart
But with his tongue will not backbite
He does his neighbor no wrong
Against him he speaks no slur
Honoring the God-fearing
He keeps a promise to his own hurt
{channel}
He shall receive the blessing of the Lord
And righteousness from the God of his salvation
And of those who seek the Lord, who seek his face
Despising what's vile, this is that generation
(Chorus)
He who has clean hands and pure heart
And to idols of vanity and conceit
He has not lifted up his soul
He has not sworn falsely with deceit
He does not lend his money with interest
And by him a bribe is never taken
For He who does these things
He shall never be shaken
{channel 2}
He who walks righteously and speaks what's right
The gain of extortion and bribery he hates
He stops his ears against plots of murder
And seeing evil his eyes will not contemplate
For he shall dwell on high
The mountain fortress will be his defence
His bread shall be supplied
And water will never fail him
But even more than this, if this person is who you are
You shall see the king in all his beauty
And behold the land, the city that is afar
{channel}
(Chorus)
Love Me for Me
{the woman}
If my charm proves deceitful,
If beauty will flee-
Will you still love me for me?
If my health becomes sickness,
If worse things you'd see-
Would you still love me for me?
(Bridge)
And I am convinced, though the future presents
Any creature that ever will be
In the heights or the depths, none can separate us~
If you will still love me for me.
Set me as a seal upon your heart
Lover of my soul, my deepest part,
Just the way I am without one plea
I love you for you; love me for me
With the most vehement flames of fire
Waters cannot quench true love's desire
Or wash it far away into the sea
I love you for you; love me for me  (Chorus)
{the man}
If my glory of strength fades,
If fame will decrease-
Will you still love me for me?
If my talents should be lost,
If all gifts should cease-
Would you still love me for me?
(BridgeII)
But I am persuaded through all tribulations,
Though famine and peril may be,
That no hardship or nakedness shall separate us
If you will still love me for me.
(Chorus)
The Invitation
If you had just married a wife
Then were invited to The Banquet
The greatest wedding feast ever to be told
Would you say that you can't go
Or accept the royal invitation
And take with you
The one you now have to hold
Our Heavenly Father requests the honor
Of your presence at the marriage of His Son
To the Bride arrayed in righteousness; blessed are those invited
The wedding banquet is ready; will you come?  (Chorus)
If you had just purchased land
Then received The Wedding Invitation
From the King to His palace of gold
Would you go look to His interests
Or ask to be excused
To see the field
In which you had been sold
If you had just gained merchandise
And were invited to The Dinner
To sit with the righteous and the bold
Would you refuse the King's table
Or hurry first at His request
Then let your business
Multiply one hundred fold
(Chorus)
[Bridge]
If you give your regrets or do not respond
You will not receive the garments of fine linen
You will not taste His banquet like the many who are called
Only to the Few will the place of honor be given
And His house shall be filled when they are compelled
From the highways and byways and even from the hedges
From the streets and alleys they're accepted and chosen
For wedding garments and to eat the Bread of Heaven
Need a Life
When Christ- who is our Life-
Shall appear-
We'll be caught up~ to meet Him
In the air-
And our glory hid with God
In Jesus Christ-
Shall be revealed
When we appear with Him
In Eternal Life                           (Chorus)
Some people think we need a life...
Come Up Here!
Rise up!  Rise up and Come up here
Because Jesus Christ is ready to appear
The Day of Judgment is drawing near
So rise up!  Before He says come up here  (Chorus)
A time will come, and now it is
When those who are dead
Will hear the Son of God's voice
And those who hear, they shall live
For the Life in Christ quickens
Those who make Him their choice
   Because the life the Father has to make the dead arise
   He has granted to his Son to give unto them
   Who are pleased to cross over from death unto life
   But you must believe in Christ and live your life for him
A time will come, so marvel not
When those who are in their graves
Will hear the Lord's voice
And everyone of them shall come out
To receive judgment or reward
 According to their own choice
   Those who have done good shall resurrect unto God's life
   But those who have done evil shall only rise to be condemned
   So to enter in the Gate and walk the Way you must strive
   Remember this, if he doesn't come first, he may call you to Him
Rise up!  Rise up and Come up here
Because Jesus Christ is ready to appear
The Day of Judgment is drawing near
So rise up!  Before He says come up here  (Chorus)
What is Music?
A beautiful melodic chance to enhance the ear
so sincere you shed a tear so severe you back it up like a domineer
but music is not just what you can hear
it sums up all of beauty, all art in motion
like the sound of the weltering waves of an ocean
an enticing novel with an addicting notion
like the sway of a woman's walk showing so much emotion
music is art-art is beauty-music is anything you look at to admire
exagerate goals to aspire, a passionate kiss to look up to eyes of fire
a soul mate's touch to inspire
as two become one in the best way to perspire, music
to hear, to touch, a sight an infamous might, music
the canarous dance of a butterfly when their wings dawdle
ketchup's lingering trip down the bottle
to your beautiful body i can't wait to fondle
your face to your utter essence, music in my life
making me smile in times of strife
keeping me at the end of my wits, sharper than a knife
you are music, my words are music, music all around
with each touch it glistens
so remember with music
you must do much more than listen
Pray About It
Are you Okay about it?
Are you in disarray about it?
Then I have another question-
Have you prayed about it?
If you feel swayed about it,
If you feel delayed about it,
Then answer my question-
Have you prayed about it?
Did you get upstaged about it?
Have you been betrayed about it?
Well, even through your testin'-
Did you pray about it?
When you're outweighed about it,
When you're enslaved about it
Tell me, during the lesson-
Do you pray about it?
If you feel crazed about it?
If you feel dazed about it?
Then answer my question-
Have you prayed about it?
Are you enraged about it?
Even if you're Okay about it?
Then I have another question-
Have you prayed about it?
A SYMPHONY OF STARS
If the stars could speak and play...
what would they say?
A verse...
A voice
A whole universe
If the stars could play...
Music too...
What a symphony it would be
What would they say?
The sweetest music too
Flowing through
Stars...
If you only knew
You could be
Part of it too
Just like me
I wonder....
Do stars have feelings too?
They travel...
In a gentle night sky
For you and I
In a universe,
filled with music
The stars....
Sung for me
Such a symphony
So completely,
captivated me
The stars,
took me too...
Moving me with song
If you only knew
What the stars could do..
What the stars could say
A symphony....
In an Milky Way
What the stars play,
in music, for me
In a gentle night sky
Watching stars fly
The music passing through,
the hearts of many too
How things can be,
in the stars you see
An orchestral sky
Passing by
Such a symphony,
captivated me
The stars....
Only they really knew,
how the music took me too
The stars...
In words
In music,
spoke to me,
in a Milky Way.
I hear the stars play..
An orchestral symphony
"NIGHT"
Velvety blackness cloaks me
jewelled sky above
starlight
Quiet murmurings of the night
Light wind rustles the leaves
breath in night forest
enjoy the breeze
The solitude of the night
pale moon
star bright
Trees creak
branches sighed
every sound magnified
Quiet murmurings of the night
Moonlit clearings abound,
small creatures scamper around
For, night is alive!Full of sound
Quiet murmurings of the night
For the night never does sleep
nature's too busy
a shift it does not keep!
Dark of night
Star bright
For without the night,
pale moon,glittering stars
would not be that wondrous sight
Breathe in velvety blackness
for to appreciate light
one must cloak one'self
in midnight
Above Me
There's no heaven above me
And the world's getting mighty ugly
I need a good heart to come and hug me
Father the world's getting ugly
And it seems there's no heaven above me
As I sit starring at the wall
From the sky, I watch the stars fall
Given this talent, this oddly balance
I never had a mother or father
Who brought into this world and why bother?
Death being a made sacrifice
Who wants to live twice in this life?
Tidal waves, mud slides, and desperate housewives
Baby girl go lay your thoughts down and get some rest
Let go of your stress & lay your head across my chest
Just let me burn, calm at sea
Just read my palms and let me be, cant you see
There's no heaven above me
And the world's getting mighty ugly
Needs a good heart to come and hug me
Father the world's getting ugly
And it seems there's no heaven above me
Granted that we are promised, "A second coming"
Blown trumpets, Reckoning of angels humming
Now maybe time won't consume my soul
Pneumonia tunes my cold
My shoulders going global
Yet when my tears got heavy, I never once faltered
Right beside me, now I'm cursed at the alter
Webster define me love
In my heart, something warm tells me to look above
My lord, you be with those acquaintance, my friends
Cause tomorrow looking foggy thru this lenses
And I miss being a kid
But how can I reminisce on the things I never did
The storms getting closer
Maybe I'll see the Rapture, through a holster
I put my life on that poster, piss on it & let it burn
No worry, It's none of your concern
Still, there’s no heaven above me
And the world's getting mighty ugly
Needs a good heart to come and hug me
Father the world's getting ugly
And it seems there's no heaven above me
Do You Love Me?
Know that I love you, but do you love me
Lord you know I do, well then feed my sheep
Know that I love you, but do you love me
Lord you know I do, well then tend my sheep		(Chorus)
And once there was a time when you were young and on you own
You did the things you wanted to but now that you have grown
You shall stretch forth your hands and another will dress you
He shall lead you in the will that I have for you to do
So come follow me, remember what you've heard and seen
And show forth My love over land and over sea
So come follow me, Remember what you've heard and seen
And show forth the love that you have for Me  		(Bridge)
(Chorus)
And don't be anxious just to know what I have for someone else
The work that I have given you is sufficient of itself
You're here to do the Father's will that's what I've given you
Obey my voice, I will direct you in all you have to do
So come follow me, remember what you've heard and seen
And show forth My love over land and over sea
So come follow me, Remember what you've heard and seen
And show forth the love that you have for Me  		(Bridge)
Know that I love you, but do you love me
Lord you know I do, well then feed my sheep
Know that I love you, but do you love me
Lord you know I do, well then tend my sheep		(Chorus)
Starting Over Again
Whatever happened to the time we used to spend
Whatever happened to my long and faithful friend
And not matter how my heart will seem to mend
I'm tired of starting all over and over again
Whatever happened to the love that we were in
Whatever happened to the dreams that we'd begin
And no matter how my life will seem to mend
I'm tired of starting all over and over again	(Chorus)
I see the signs of yesterday yet I won't assume
Because I know what that will make of me and you
But I see the same old patterns every week and weekend
There's not a change so I have a hard time believin'
Yet I don't want to judge the future looking at our past
But if I can't depend on you then how can we ever last
I just can't deal with going through the same old thing
And your actions speak so loud you've left me wondering
(Chorus)
If you're dedicated to me give me more of your time
Than you give to any other, let them know that you're mine
If you're committed to me, be faithful, kind and true
And remember you said you love me the way I love you
So history won't repeat itself you'll do whatever it takes
By always saying what you mean, doing all that you say
To make us work, keep our dreams, here's one last chance
For you to put your love in action and give a little romance
(Bridge)
Cause every man will proclaim his unfailing love
But what girl can find a faithful man she can trust
She just can't deal with going through the same old thing
And your actions speak so loud you've left her wondering
Whatever happened to the time we used to spend
Whatever happened to my long and faithful friend
And not matter how my heart will seem to mend
I'm tired of starting all over and over again
Whatever happened to the love that we were in
Whatever happened to the dreams that we'd begin
And no matter how my life will seem to mend
I'm tired of starting all over and over again	(Chorus)
Jesus is Coming
In an eye's twinkle
Jesus is coming
For a church without wrinkle
Or any such thing
So be holy and blameless
Jesus is coming
For a church without blemish
Or any such thing  (Chorus)
If judgment will begin in the Lord's on house
By the cleansing of the Word for a radiant spouse,
Then what will be the end of those whose ways are broad
Who do not obey the very Word of God?
[channel]
While people are saying, "Safety and peace,"
Destruction will come upon them suddenly
But for you who are walking as children of Light
That Day should not surprise as a thief in the night
(Chorus)
And if God's righteous people are scarcely saved,
If God's holy people just barely escapes
The Judgment to come with great terror and fear
Then where shall the ungodly and sinner appear?
[channel 2]
When the heavens pass away with a shrill sound,
The earth with everything will burn to the ground.
Now since the elements will melt with fervent heat,
What manner of godly people should we be?
~~~~~~
In an eye's twinkle
Jesus is coming
For a church without wrinkle
Or any such thing
So be holy and blameless
Jesus is coming
For a church without blemish
Or any such thing  (Chorus)

When Love is Rough

When Love is Rough

The funny things we may say
or the crazy things we might do
but when we hit rock bottom
there is no one else to blame, but you.

Don't put your guard down- still trust
in me, because I'll be there baby,
you just wait and see.

I may get mad, I may even be sad.
but you can be certain that I will
never leave. So embrace me with your
thoughts and cry me your tears.

Just remember we all need someone, but
remember your someone is me. My love is
very special. It is a love come true.
Baby it will soon be twenty-two.

For Man

It’s a journey man
Did all go accordingly to plan
I swear it was a journey for man
The results of a plotted hand
It’s a journey man

The forgotten me
Souvenirs of a begotten plea
Did you think I’d change
Do you miss me
Do not beg upon things
You do not wish to see
Was it a journey?
Twenty years
I’ve survived in this tourney
Laid it down
And across my face
Would become a smirk
A gift
A treasure
For those whom would mourn me
Given thought
Simply driven
By the misery happiness brought
I stand, I rest
As I breathe
I demand to receive
What you have in your chest
Simple flaws of a failure
The sorrow from my eyes
In no other words could I tell you

It’s a journey for man
Did all go accordingly to plan
I swear it’s been a journey for this man
The results of plotted hand
It’s a journey man

My Philosophy

Wisdom, the treasure beyond my steps
Here, undo the pleasure behind being left
Perhaps I should paint myself
Sadly here lately, I ain’t been myself
Life is not hard
It’s just not simple
Mark the laps of ages
Forms of life written on tear stained pages
Your coherent view has now been refuted
My template of whispers, merely muted
Life is not hard
It’s just not simple
For all the things that beg upon me
A blind song for the average man to see
And if this attempt fails
Then just maybe the thought will prevail
Life is not hard
It's just not simple

Beneath Your Feet (Song)

From the first of my birth
Until my dying days
I lived life expecting the worse in every case
Night times I couldn’t sleep
Seemed stress had me over whelmed
To strong to weep
A fatal crush no individual would care to keep
An unforgiving face no man was prepared to meet
Through the mud and water
Brutal thuds, a careless mans order
I smiled only to allow my spectators to live worry free
In my deepest thoughts
I only visualized those who would stand and burry me
Ashes to ashes, mysterious flashes
Unto my final lay
My surroundings seem to hurry me
What else is one suppose to do
A failing adolescent whom rose to truth
Dreamt upon soothing times
To remove me from these shackles in my mind
A prison, a convict’s yard
I couldn’t escape, seems the sun picks the bar’d
A broken ornament, a gift from the scar’d
The emotional down pours that reveal who we are
Who’s to say I’d never change
Only to grow to be the same tainted man
Reality dawns upon my blister painted hands
From alternators and scrap metal parts
Only to submit them to junk yards
For a true earned strained heart
That’s no lie; I learned my true hand to poverty
Casualties missing me, meant to be slobbery
Imprints of a father chasing after me
Now that the world prays me gone
I reside beneath my own shadow
Dwell against this concrete walk way all alone
No regret spots for me, suffering is my only home
Shall it be a merciful dawn, once it’s all shown?
Questions for which I can not answer on my own
Teary nights, not enough said in past conversations
Deep within your regrets I could feel you mourn
A painful constipation
Subordinate clauses, fallen from the wrong information
Now above the stars
I’m sheltered in my own constellation
So go on, bury me
To my enemies, this is the last of me
Please bury me
No interest in your sympathy
Bury me

I Want to Cry

It's been another rainy day
Since I left that special place
There are you- here am I-
It's been another starless night
Since I took that lonesome flight
There are you- here am I-
And I want to cry-

Will the sun come out today?
Or will it still just hide away?
Cause there are you- here am I-
And will the moon shine tonight?
Or will the clouds put up a fight?
Cause there are you- here am I-
 And I want to cry-

I want to cry, but how can I let my feelings show -
How will you ever know~ when you are there and I am here?
I want to cry, but how can I share my tears with you -
How will you feel it's true~ when you are there and I am here?
When I am here-?

Can the clouds and lights above
Express the longing of my love?
Cause there are you- here am I-
And can all nature mourn the fate
Of two souls who separate?
Cause there are you- here am I-
And I want to cry-

It's been another rainy day
Since I left that special place
There are you- here am I-
It's been another starless night
Since I took that lonesome flight
There are you- here am I-
And I want to cry-

On leaving Meiningen, Germany
A song for Kirsten Amthor

Blessed is the Man

Blessed is the man
      Who does not walk in advice of the wicked
Blessed is the man
      Who does not stand in the way of the sinners
Blessed is the man
      Who does not sit in the seat of the scornful
Blessed is the man
      And only he will stand	(Chorus)

For in the law of the Lord is his delight
And in His law he meditates day and night
Therefore, he shall be - planted like a tree
By the rivers of water and his green leaf
Shall not wither, but in season he yields his fruit
And God shall prosper whatever he will do

      In His righteous way hearing all God has to say
      He will shine more and more unto the perfect day (because)

(Chorus)

But the wicked are not so, they're like the chaff
Blown away by the wind and that's not the half
The ungodly shall not stand in the judgment
Nor will sinners congregate with the righteous
For the way of the ungodly shall perish
But God watches over everyone who'll cherish

      His righteous way and all that they hear Him say
      And they will shine more and more unto the perfect day (because)
