Daddy

Remember how you'd come home and
you'd lift me up and we'd go crazy dancing
to the rhythm of the newspaper man...
do you remember Daddy?
Remember how you'd go to the rooftop
and take me along and we'd search
for the seven sages hiding in the sky...
do you remember Daddy?
Remember how you'd be really tired
and i'd ask you to tell me a story and
you'd tell me a story but i'd fall asleep...
Daddy, do you remember?
anything at all?
do you remember me ?
do you know me Daddy??

my father's barn

Gingerly, she climbs to
where the wood has weathered, and
the latch, is rusted and black.
Gone from brown, it
eases away. Light pierces
the darkness, through every crack
and knot hole, she climbs
to warmth and wades,
through hay, past steamer
trunks and packing
crates.

The garden yields thick bottle
rims, stirrups, a buckle, a bit
of old leather. Egyptian onions'
purple plumes, line the fence.
Chocolate mint, overgrown,
and rudbeckia sprouts
nasturtium's winding tendrils,
loose dirt.

Hay, golden, like a Vermeer, swirls
and turbulent spikes, make flat long
pleats of similar lengths, braided and
golden, catching the sun.

#What we want#

Dear Dada,

What we want is worth

Let love live,

Peace perfect praise...

...Let long lasting law

rule round reign.

my problem not yours

Images fade as new ones appear glimpses from my stricken past shoot through my fragile mind and break me down courage and hope is gained my soul begins to come into focus once more then shattered at the slightest thought of previous events. Pain slowly dissipates then courses through my veins once more. when will the morning sun finally end and allow my mind to rest. All my peers see is the painting of myself I have put in front of them for me to hide behind while I find a solution my physical being goes through its daily and regular paces while my mind is in a thousand different places at once every day how to grow how to take those drastic steps into the future and not be pushed back into the past is time truly my only obstacle? Father knows I am impatient Mr. Time why make me suffer anymore abide by his rules I must father time waits, stops, and fast forward's for no one

Like ur own

Never could find a guy,
who wanted both of us.
They looked at her,
then left.
Until I met you,
Even though she's not yours.
Yove love her like your own.
Like a stepdadfathers opposd to.

You didnt have to.
but u never saw her,
like another man's daughter.
You saw her like she was urs.
You loved us both,
with so much love.

Parenthood

Dots of light dotted the dome
Displaying dismal disks
Halfhearted innuendos of harmony
Repetitive, unremarkable recordings
Minimally interesting, middle class, mediocre
Small wonder he thought, smirking, smarting
Discipline dismissed, discarded
Replaced with fun, funk and fad
Foolishness fueled Fukem, he fumed
No more, no more, no more
The military, military school, immediately!

singular glutton

Save your energy...
I've found my center a place to sit amongst the absent.
My mother-my best thought; says she made this all just for us.
Love your enemy...
My father killed my dog-my best friend, lost.
My father killed him then disinfected both hands in our kitchen sink.
A place to sit-to insist the other exists.
Consistently I forget my missing leg; perhaps with the proper measurements
I could fashion myself an adequate replacement...
Save your energy...
My mothe stood by-my father knows whats best for me.
He says he made it all up for us-that'd we'd better make it up to Him.
Love your enemy...
My mommy is secretly my most cherished memory.
I've found my center.
I dismiss those cornering me, gladly
burning down my home in the name of the one re-assuring me.
Save your energy...
I hate myself and everyone else.
I love speaking about myself; yes, I'm even a master at slaving myself. I service the help-first I self service myself heaping portions of self help. I hate myself and anybody else discussing my health. Accomplishments? Laundry lists!

FATHER OF ENDLESS MERCY

I am the wind drifting the snow,
uncertain of destiny and tomorrow
at any hour I could be gone,
and with much strength hope lives on;
nothing can discourage me
to ward off moments of misery,
the firmer I believe, the longer I survive...
Father of endless mercy, bless me as I thrive!

I am the sea in desperate need of the moon,
when no light shimmers across this dark deep;
let me hear a song of joy, not of sorrow and grief,
the hours seem long, but the sunrise will come soon,
to make me sail away to celebrate life and freedom,
forgetting how long I had been a victim of boredom,
feeling the worthiness inside to behold a splendid sight...
Father of endless mercy, bless me as I thrive!

Old age is blessed with wisdom and white hair,
but many despise it and by hiding in the leper's lair;
youth was glorious and seemed everlasting indeed,
we all wish to get back to recall how young we appeared
in days that time erased too quickly from the visions we dreamed,
and besides happiness and vitality, all dreams were limited
to that certain period forever engraved on perceptual mind...
Father of endless mercy, bless me as I thrive!

The Father Of Salvation

The Father of my Salvation will not let me fall

He watches over me and you as we strive to finish His work

as we strive

we grow stronger with the Lord

and we grow more like Him

The Father will not let us fall as we strive with His work!
