Youth
Running wild through the streets
Dog in tow
Hand in hand with my best friend.
Light shining on our faces
As we laughed and ran
Free, young and eternal.
Spirited and determined
We played the games of innocence
Simple, real and heart felt.
We hugged and kissed
And loved
With the sincerity of youth
Untouched
Unharmed
And hopeful.
Running wild in the streets
Dog in tow
Hand in hand with my best friend,
Sweetness in smell
Sweetness in taste
Forever in our hearts.
