Your Heart Within My Soul

Your Heart Within My Soul I see your fine heart in my soul Caressing each pain that you find Every ache that stabs so deep Every hurt that breaks sleep Every cut that oozes and seeps Each anguish in a tormented mind Each pain cured with love so kind I bow to your tender merciful soul Set my hopes on your healing power Accept the sweetness you gave Accept that this life you save Accept the love we both crave Every castle has a great tower Every bless rain gifts a shower I see your fine heart in my soul Caressing each pain that you find Robert J. Lindley , 08-03-2014 Inspired from a poem I read here late last night. Many poets here have not a clue how fine their writes are and how inspiring to other poets those great poems may be. I thank them one and all , big or small! Greatness lies within the heart my friends, sometimes it comes out in poetic words but there it lays even if it stays hidden awaiting its day! Just trust that day shall eventually come....

That picture was taken 9 months ago . I am 60 years old my friend, I was 59 in that picture. My wife 32 . Yes, I have about 200+ poems still that were not burned when the ex-wife stole about 600+ poems and burned them. What was bad was that those were my records from age 15 to about 35.. That's life...

I see you also like to write on paper to keep the old feel alive> You've got a ton of rhymes brother! You always mention being old, but in the picture look young or at least near my age. I wont be forty for a couple years!

oh how I love how you reunite the beginning with the end. and how love can heal the pain, this is true. especially your foot note will be very encouraging to all poets knowing that we all are an inspiration to each other.

Your fine poem, All Things Norse , inspired me in 8 of the 9 poems I wrote today. Even the one you just commented on my friend.. The one I write to my wife about her love and beauty I needed only to close my eyes , dream a bit and the words flowed out like an erupting volcano.

Thanks Tim. A typo when I was adjusting that line during the write. Fixed it to read as it was previously written on paper. I usually write at least two poems a day on paper. Just to keep the old feel alive! This was the second one today , the other was for my wife. Far too racy for open publication here . lol
