Your Garden

I planted a thought in my brain Unattended it grew with the rain I had planted it like a seed It grew like a dandelion weed The root grew straight towards hell It's flower had no smell I poisoned it from the top The root kept growing nonstop Dying, it's flower went to seed Sowed itself to the breeze Making it easy to see How quickly bad thoughts can breed When planting new thoughts in your brain Be sure you've got the right strain Use all of your gardening powers Then share the beautiful flowers

Part of being depressed is this negative thinking that is so difficult to overcome. And mindfullness teaches us to think about what we think. Well written Daniel.

Just finished work today, and I am on holiday now for a month Daniel. This means you will be sick looking at me.

There you are! I was wondering when I'd get to see your lovely face and smile again'. Jean I have pulled back on the lever and I am soaring again. We must always tend our garden of thoughts and be good stewards to ourselves if we want beautiful flowers. Peace my Irish lass:):)

Hi Daniel, it seems you've done justice to Galations 6:7 as well. Great message for all to easily understand, you reap what you sow. Good talk!

When farmers used to sew seed by hand, pulling his hand from the sack around his neck, some would inevitably be spilled. They grew thicker than those he sewed and he reaped them along with the rest at harvest time. That's what the poem is talking about. Peace sweet lady:)
