You'Ll Be Alright
Time pauses when your heart's in denial,
refusing to move on as requested.
And regret's, offset by a phony smile,
as fledgling feelings are weighed and tested.
When fantasy distorts reality,
there's little anyone can do or say.
And though your broken heart may disagree,
it's time for you to put the tears away.
Your rejected heart is reluctant to dream,
for anxiety and fear have combined.
And faulting fantasies for what they seem,
depressing images occupy your mind.
Excise the ghosts that haunt each restless night,
believe in yourself, and you'll be alright.
