You Taught Me Well
You made me weak, but from the weakness I grew strong.
You played me for a fool, but the foolishness made me wise.
You kept me chained in hell, but I escaped and found heaven beyond.
You kept me cowering away in the corner, but with release I became brave.
You thought you could take me down, but unaware you were building me up.
Now I am strong, I am wise, I found heaven without you;
I'm now brave enough to face the unknown,
And I know now how to stand on my own.
These lessons you taught me, and taught me well,
From your lying, conniving and selfish ways.
