You buy my silence with a fervent kiss And hope that I forget what is amiss You buy my silence with a gentle touch A touch that I have longed for, oh, so much You silence me with hungry, pleading eyes That make my heart forget your promised lies You silence me in passionate embrace And rest upon my breast your angel face You silence me with words I long to hear A whispered breath of love, “I’m always near” You silence me with love through fevered night So that the wrong you’ve done fades from my sight You silence me, but then you softly leave And in the silence, I am left to grieve Eileen Manassian

This is true to life, which doesn't always play out as we would like, the existance of today produces so many relationship problems. Love the sonnet my little Desert Orchid, perfect form for this write. Take care, Richard

Thank you, Mr Seal, for your visit. I do like writing in sonnet form. It has become my favorite form of expression. I appreciate your visit and comment on this piece. Relationships are fraught with problems in today's world, but I believe that those which are worth fighting for, will survive.

I can imagine the longed for touches and kisses take away the past pain but then the leaving brings it back again. A rollercoaster of emotion. What one does for love. Have a great weekend... Tim
