You Are My Pride
I could be in edge the of death, but still come alive,
I could skip a beat, but still survive.
The clouds could fall out of the sky,
The oceans could disappear, and all turn dry
The world might change and reborn again,
But you will be friend,
You will be pride.
When all my despairs cloud by,
When all my anxieties suppress me by,
When all my sorrows take my side,
When all my worries make me sigh,
I remember you all with a shudder,
You are my friend,
You are my pride.
Those endless times you made me smile,
Those memories you gave me and went by,
Those silly fights and sentimental cries,
Those crazy laughter that roared by,
Makes me feel loved and blessed,
You are my friend,
You are my pride.
Sometimes you have been a sibling,
Sometimes you have been a healer ,
Sometimes a harsh teacher,
Sometimes a helping guide,
Sometimes a bundle of surprise,
Sometimes blunt enough to make me realize,
Sometimes a companion lending a shoulder to cry,
Sometimes my sole reason to smile.
I will cherish you until I breathe this life,
Because you are my friend,
YOU are my pride.
