You, Me, and the Sea

Things are changing As the deep sea between us widens You say that you care And we are closer than ever before But words can drown Like sorrows over time Once a time We were together everyday Now I beg you just to stay What happened to our treasure? Did the sea wash it away? Or is just deeper? Down further we must swim Or maybe find a shore We can rest upon together The tides may be rough Hard we must try To live through the night. But after the storm Comes that glorious day When the sea becomes calm. Though it may become wider Swim to you I will
