Years Swiftly Pass

The years have swiftly passed, Anniversaries and birthdays have come and gone, But the days that linger the longest, Are the days I spend missing you. Lasting memories are preserved in my mind, More picturesque than photos in time. The voices I still hear are yours and mine, Whispering we'll always love each other, Till the end of time. The Sundays spent just filling in crossword puzzles, And recapturing those long walks on the beach. Running off for a weekend getaway, To just escape the daily hassles of life that way. Sitting in the garden late at night, Watching the fireflies glow so bright. Gazing at the stars as they twinkled at night, Igniting memories to last through our life. These are the things I cherish the most, Just remembering the days we shared. Building memories to last forever, To recall at any moment I need you near. ©2016 by Lee Christine Brownlee
