Without Red and White
Cemetery on a Ridge
World revolved around war called Revolutionary
And there were graves of soldiers in a cemetery
Located on a ridge overlooking some small town
On clear day could be seen when you look down.
Had never been quite sure or whether or not
Another war one day would have to be fought
People with each other have become civil
Back forth on sides and chair would swivel.
There was blue and gray without red and white
Who gave them the right to one another fight
Against themselves then have to cry and bleed
Grow old with a hair line which now does recede.
War had ended while suffering still seemed to last
All of it now has become part of an important past
Battle Hymn of Republic new North now did hum
Moved to South and Southern have now become.
