I remember, I remember To be displaced in South Beach Psych Isolation room I, alone Four empty walls Gloom Otherworldly space most crude. How would I chase woebegone state... seemed no use Mouthing off, vexing psych's medicine man Forthwith he summoned more mean hands. Found myself in freezing room, so I had to take a stand Ranted some Conjured up my very own plan So sacred freedom would side with me. Eyes closed, I saw skylight with halcyon words of love That tempered emptiness no one should ingest. I knew I'd be energized with pose- Scintilla of faith saw me on my knees Flexed; unraveling moves I imagined summery cell Soothing the better of me Free from cravings for nicotine, you see For quintessential to my soul, silence Dissolved gloomy empty walls And I knew I would emerge fetching Having warmed cold floors with soft might That boost reserve. Need to outsmart the medicine man... Breathe, carve a master plan. * Entry for C.T. "Four Walls" poetry contest

Awesome write. I had a friend back in the 90's who checked herself into a ward. I have Walls 2, Monsters. I really like the way you put your words. Congrats on your well-deserved win :)
