With the Dawn, New Light
This past eve lent my eyes such fright
For perception is reality and dreams come true
And by this, I did long for much expedient light
As the eve carried on, so my fear surely grew
But upon that this dawning
A young light appears in the distance
And so I ponder, resting under a sturdy awning
How it was that this light appeared with such little persistence
And there I was, remaining in the shade
As the sun surely rose
Bringing forth a new day
‘Twas such an admonition that I not explore past woes
For the past is but history, from which one can learn
But tomorrow is of mystery, for this do I yearn
