Wishing For Eternity
As I enjoyed my morning stroll
Three benches I did see
Upon the first I rest my bones
A moment just for me
I saw a lady walking forth
An age I dare not guess
From behind, a face so sweet
Her grandson she was blessed
They sat only a breath away
The chatter I could hear
The smiles upon there faces
Made me shed a single tear
Could feel the pure devotion
In every word they spoke
The world around them passing bye
As they just sit and talk
The reason for my misty eyes
A grand old age was she
The partnership that they had formed
Could not last eternally
