Winter Begins

The snow covered branches hang over the edge of the road. They appear to be large white feathers ready to lift as angels wings. A lining of snow sits delicately on thin branches in the woods. Even a patchwork of snow is stuck to the larger trees bark. Winter arrives leaving a trace of white on everything to be seen. Christmas wreaths hang with bright red bows ready for December. The beauty overpowers the gray skies above as celebration begins. Heidi Sands
