Winds of Change
Along with a frigid steady rain
a howling wind muscles in
pushing and shoving
crashing and tearing apart
what was peaceful
what was full of beauty
full of life to a halt
grasses go dormant
tiger lilies and roses are veiled
the skies are a little darker
and the once mighty oak seems frail
The changing of the seasons
The changing of the guard
days once soft and sensual
are turning from soft to hard
time will pass as so will this
nature will run her course
the robins will sing once more
and in no time we'll be in for bliss
