Who Knows

Who could resist? I’m more than something special, The rest though, forgettable, even that you better know. I’m the best you’ve ever had, the best there ever will be, The best to ever walk the world my presence is appealing. But this is not the real me, this is a façade, The time has come to pick apart the pieces that have sought--- So much of your attention, so much of your desire, The subtle love you have for me I will not let expire. I’ll reignite the flames to show you things you never saw, It’ll reignite the pains to show me what I’m waiting on. I’ll show you the remains of love that’s lost and love to come, Because I’ve played this game enough to tell you who had won.

Good afternoon Joseph. The weekend and half this week are gone and this is the first I have had a chance to read. Had so much drama in my life. Really feeling good reading poetry today. Glad yours was among them. Love, Carol
