             dove grey dress
counterpoint to
white roses 
             wedding vows pledged
             in five minute ceremony

waste overflowing
                 wilted rose buds 
made yesterday 
                unmistakable stench

    You got the point of the tanka and the kyoka (the latter being in contrast to the more optimistic tanka), namely Act in Haste, Repent at Leisure. Regards, Su
