Where There's Life
See the pollens and the spores
from flowers and weeds
and all manner of life,
dancing sparkles on a stray breeze
in the late afternoon sunlight.
Know the dust in your house
is mostly you and your spouse,
and whatever children are still
hanging around, and that dust
is called home
by thousands of creatures.
Hear that scientists are concerned
with the melting of poles
and the release of ancient viruses
and zillions of bacteria into
our daily lives.
Read that life travels through space
on billions of meteorites and
we must wonder
just where we march
in the procession of life
