Where My Mind Goes During School

While staring at a wall that never seemed to move I drift into a state that makes me unable to move. One second i'm in school learning about pie And the next at the park devouring a sweet apple pie. The sun in my face, the grass at my feet, The feeling of freedom all about my body. The sky was so blue it seemed to be a cartoon The trees so green like a late summer afternoon. But for in the distance a colorful object seemed to move, So i ran after it but I never moved. My body was still, not a move about, As the colorful object crept near. Scared but in wonder I waited to see What the colorful object could ever be. Then a sound so harsh it could pierce through glass, It was the bell telling me it was the end of class. -The story will continue- -Eddie Cox
